You tug on Charlie’s hair as you ride him, bouncing up and down. Your moans fill the small space, causing Charlie’s cock to throb and his head to fall back into the headrest. His hands grip your hips, thrusting up into you as his breath hits your neck. “F–fuck, sweetheart. You feel so amazing.” You whine, and your head falls back, exposing your neck. “Keep going, sweetheart. You’re doing so well for me!” Charlie places kisses on your sweet spot, sucking the flesh on your neck into his mouth softly.
“O–oh, Charlie!” Your fingers dig into his shoulders, feeling your walls tense around his thick member, your eyes roll back as pleasant shivers spread through your body. You can feel your orgasm approaching, it’s so close to snapping. “I’m going to cum!”
Just as you are about to finish, there’s a knock at the window. “Hey, Chief! These windows aren’t tinted!” You both turn your head, Charlie covering any part of you that is exposed, holding back a groan as your walls pulsate around him rapidly. “But good job!” The officer chuckles, shaking his head and walking back into the station.
Charlie looks at you. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart.” You smile, wiggling your hips slightly.
“Don’t worry about it, are you going to make me cum, Chief?” You smile sweetly, batting your lashes. A gasp escapes you as he holds you against him and begins to pound into you. Your orgasm builds back up and you cum around Charlie’s cock. “F–fuck…” You tuck your face into his neck, moaning softly as he continues to fuck into you until he finishes inside of you.
Charlie moves your head back, cupping your cheek while stroking your hair back. “You are beautiful, I just want you to know that.” He whispers, leaning forward to place a soft kiss on your lips. “Are you ready to go back in? There’s no doubt that he’s told everybody.” Charlie rolls his eyes, smiling when you giggle.
You nod, fixing your clothes and leaning over to grab your perfume out of your bag to spray yourself with. When you place it back into your bag, you grab your lip balm and swipe it across your lips while staring Charlie in the eyes. He watches with adoration before he opens the door and helps you out, ensuring you don’t hit your head or fall.
Charlie holds your hand as the two of you walk into the station. Everyone’s head turns and cheers begin to fill the room. “Chief! Chief! Chief!” Their fists punch the air as they surround you. “We didn’t know our boss and his girl would be so freaky!” One of them shout, sending a wink your way.
Charlie shakes his head, his cheeks turn pink, and he pulls you closer to him. “Alright, alright. You’ve all had your fun, now get back to work.”
You giggle and bury your face into his chest, feeling your cheeks heat from all the attention. As everyone scatters and gets back to work, you remove yourself from his chest and look up. “I guess we are freaky, Chief. Wanna get freaky in your office?” He smirks and nods, pulling you toward his office and ignoring his employees.

Sitting on charlie swan's lap trying to get his attention/distracting him or just talking about yor day.

warnings: age gap, talk about getting married, quickly proofread, hoping tumblr doesn't screw up my ending again

"I want to marry you," you hummed from Charlie's lap, fingers digging through his beard as you cupped his face lightly in your hands. If the man hadn't been caught by surprise by you settling right on his lap without a single word, that little statement certainly did it. He lost all interest in the game he'd been watching, abandoning his beer on the table next to him, hand instead moving to your back to support you.
"You do now?" his tone was curious giving away just how intrigued you had him with such a simple sentence, bringing it up just as easily as you'd remind him to stop for milk before coming home from the station.
"I do," you nodded and sighed, in thought as if you were picturing it, tuning out the details, and then you smiled, holding onto him a little tighter and he didn't mind, simply adoring the sight of you dreaming wide awake. "Nothing fancy, just us two and Bella, maybe Edward, definitely Billy and Jacob," you were moving, shifting so you were almost straddling him, truly the only comfortable one but he was willing to wait it out. "We can go down to city hall and I can wear a pretty white dress with big poofy sleeves and we can go to the diner afterward to have pie instead of cake, we could have our first dance as husband and wife right in this living room."
"You don't think you deserve more than that?" his hand was brushing up and down your back, soothing you, telling you that you had all of his attention, telling you to keep going.
"More than you?" you shook your head, unimpressed by the foolishness of the question, how could he think a future with him wasn't more than you'd ever deserved to begin with, let alone that you'd need more. "Got any ideas for our song?" you quipped and he shrugged, fighting a smile when you moved your hands to his head, threading through his hair as you gave your own question some thought.
"Something from the sixties," he beat you to it and the smile that dipped into your lips proved that he was on the right track. "Though I don't think it matters, I'll step on your toes no matter what," you giggled, he was very right but you didn't think you'd mind if he did.
"We'd be barefoot," you informed him, happy to edit your little dream to make it perfect. "So it wouldn't hurt as much," you added and he smiled, he didn't dare hide it, happy to see you happy, knowing that after the week you'd had, seeing you like this meant the stress was fading.
"Sweetheart," he almost purred and the softness of his voice made you shiver, leaning into him, elbows on his shoulders as you nodded to make him continue. "Is this a proposal?" he pressed and you bit your lip, considering it, and that was where your perfect plan reached a plot hole, you never decided on that part.
"Maybe," you shrugged and then shook your head. "No, it's not," you decided and you weren't all that happy to hear a car pull up in the driveway, Bella coming home from a night out with Edward. "Don't think we're ready yet, but I know we'll be ready one day," you explained and it was ridiculous, the way you wanted to melt into his arms even more, feeling silly for how sure you sounded of yourself but it made him fall in love with you even more, as simple as it was, as silly as it was, as clear as you could see your little wedding day, the future he saw with you was just as clear, now more than ever.
"And what if I'm ready now?" you bit your lip, wishing there was a way to make time stop for just a few more minutes so you could appreciate this moment with him as you tried to figure out what exactly you'd done to get so very lucky.
"Then you'll just have to be patient, Chief Swan," the kiss you gave him wasn't at all long enough for his liking and he wasn't at all impressed when the front door swung open and robbed him of you, your hand lingering in his hair for barely a second before you were skipping to the kitchen. "Hi, Bells," you sang as the teenager came into the house, met by the sight of you holding a plate full of brownies you'd baked earlier, something sweet that you needed after a long week and you were sure she needed them too. "You hungry?" you were already pulling out a little plate from the cupboard so there wasn't really a choice in the matter as she nodded.
Bella squeezed her father's shoulder as she passed him on her way to you, earning a mumbled greeting as he tried to focus on the game he was so entirely captivated by just a few minutes before but it was harder than he thought it would be. You jumped onto the counter listening to every word of Bella explaining her date in a whisper while nibbling at the chocolate treat but you were more than ready to lock eyes with Charlie as he turned around to meet your gaze.
"Marry me," he mouthed with a lovesick look, one you'd only gotten the chance to see on very rare occasions and you had to bite back a giggle as you shook your head with a slight shrug and a daring smile.
"Soon," you mouthed in reply and when he turned back to the television with a soft sigh his attention was further from football than ever before because if this was what his future would look like then he wasn't sure just how patient he could be.

Forever Yours || Paul Lahote
Summary: Request -Okay so reader is Bella's (fraternal) twin sissy. She moved to Forks with Bella and the whole first book happens WITHOUT her knowing what's going on. She's just as in the dark as Charlie is..... Read Rest Here
A/N: LOVED THIS. LOVE TWILIGHT. Keep them coming!! Thank you for the requests as always!
Pairing: Paul Lahote x Swan Sister Reader
Word Count: 4.0k
TW: Possessiveness
Tumblr media
You and your sister, Bella, had always gotten along well even being so different. She was the shy twin who always stood behind you. You on the other hand always fought Bella’s battles because she needed it, that’s what sisters were for. The two of you weren’t identical, and your personalities could not have been more different. Yet, at the end of the day, she was the person you knew would always understand you. She was your best friend and confidant. So, when she proposed moving back in with Charlie you followed along with her.
Things changed when the two of you moved to Forks and not in a way you liked. She began distancing herself from you after she met Edward. Instead of coming home and gossiping about your respective days she started going to the Cullen’s house. She stopped telling you things. She became protective and oh so secretive over her boyfriend. You confided in Charlie more than you could ever expect. You hung out with Jessica and Angela more than you would’ve ever dreamed. Still, you looked after your sister. She was the shy one who fell hard and fast. For whatever reason you just couldn’t seem to trust Edward. When she finally let the two of you meet he was just off and you couldn’t seem to pinpoint what it was.
It wasn't until the departure of Edward Cullen, leaving Bella desolate and shattered, that the mysterious shroud enveloping your lives began to unravel at a rapid pace. As Bella struggled to navigate through the abyss of heartbreak, you tried your hardest to be the strength that she needed. But it often felt like you were failing her. Like nothing you could say would offset any of the heartbreak she was feeling. And you were angry. Angry at the stupid family that decided to vanish without a trace. For even though Edward seemed off he seemed like he truly was deeply in love with your sister.
Your only saving grace was your old friend Jacob. He found a way to bring your shattered twin back to the surface of the water she was struggling to swim in. The three of you spent so many nights together doing everything and nothing at the same time. Laughing till your faces were blue and finding the human connection she so desperately needed. You could never thank him enough for bringing back your sister you had lost for so many months.
But even that wasn’t enough for him to leave. When Jacob withdrew from both of your lives you became the sad twin. It was Bella who became angry like you were so many months prior. Bella forced you in the truck one afternoon claiming she had a bone to pick with the second boy who abandoned her in so many months. You had no desire to see the boy, but Bella demanded you come with her.
You watched as she pounded on the door of his home only to be met with nothing. You waited in the truck as Bella noticed Sam and his pack off to the side of Jacob’s home. Her footsteps treaded the path towards Sam and his pack, heart pounding with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation. It was only when you saw her physically push Sam, the leader of the tribe, did you bolt out of the car trying to catch your sister from doing anything too drastic.
"Bella, stop!" you cried out, your voice tinged with desperation as you rushed forward. Your heart was hammering desperately in your chest, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within you as you reached out towards Bella, hoping to stop the impending confrontation.
But it was too late. Bella's palm has already met one of the dark-haired boys cheeks with a sharp crack, the sound reverberating through the trees. You watch in dismay as the man’s expression darkened. His features contorted with fury, a primal growl rumbling in his chest that even startled you. The forest seemed to hold its breath as the world became silent at what the next move of the man could possibly be. You gulped feeling the tension thick in the air.
And then in the midst of the events that were unfolding you looked to the men in front of you looking at each of them one by one before your eyes finally met the one who had just been slapped. His gaze locked onto yours, a fleeting moment of connection amidst the tumult that surrounded you. In that instant, everything seemed to crystallize, the world narrowing down to just the two of you even with all the people surrounding you.
Timed seemed to slow to an utter crawl. The world around you faded into insignificance as your attention was locked in on the man. A sharp gasp came from you as you continued staring right at him. It was a feeling you had never experienced in this lifetime. Something you could never have expected. He too couldn’t seem to break his gaze away from yours. In that fleeting instant, everything seems to shift. The air crackled with anticipation, the forest holding its breath as the weight of the moment bears down upon you. It's as if the universe itself has paused, allowing you and Paul to exist in a suspended state of existence, isolated from the disorder that rages beyond the confines of your shared gaze.
As the boy who captured your heart and soul with just a single look staggered backwards, a whirlwind of emotions courses through his mind each feeling vying for dominance over the others. Anger, once burning bright within him, now dissipates like mist in the morning sun, leaving behind a hollow sense of bewilderment and wonder. His chest heaves with the effort of controlling the torrent of feelings threatening to overwhelm him. He had felt every single emotion. Saw every single emotion. You were her. You were his imprint. Only Sam had been so lucky to have found his person. And now he did. And he didn’t even know her name nor you his.
To your surprise you felt your feet moving forward as he dropped to his knees on the forest floor. Pauk was acutely aware of the weight of this moment. He had to wonder what you were feeling. You too were locked in on his own eyes, yet you could have no idea what was going on and how chaotic your seemingly normal life was about to get. But amidst the heaviness of the moment, there is something else—a glimmer of hope, a spark of possibility that ignites within him like a flame in the darkness. For in your eyes, he sees not just a reflection of his own turmoil, but also a flicker of understanding, a shared recognition of the bond that now binds the two of you together.
"What... what just happened?" Bella's voice wavers, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looks between you and the man she just slapped. But you have no answers to offer, you were just as confused as she was. While Bella's voice wavers with disbelief, her eyes dart between you and the surrounding men, searching for answers amidst the bewildering scene.
Embry, who had been standing nearby with Sam, catches your eye with a knowing smirk, a hint of understanding dancing in his gaze. He stepped forward, as if he's seen this scenario play out before. "Looks like we've got ourselves an imprint," Embry remarks, his voice tinged with amusement as he addresses Sam, who watches the unfolding scene with a composed yet cautious demeanor.
Sam nods in acknowledgment, his expression unreadable as he assesses the situation before him. His eyes shifted between you and Paul with a measured intensity, as if gauging the depth of the bond that now connects you.
Meanwhile, the boy you had originally came to see, Jacob, came sprinting out of the house that he had just ignored Bella from. His expression a mix of surprise and concern as he takes in the scene before him. His eyes narrow as they settle on Paul, a flicker of protectiveness crossing his features before he turns to you, his look softening with understanding in your utter confusion. Yet in all that was happening so fast you couldn’t seem to tear your eyes away from this man. He had captured your mind, body, and soul all within a single look.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Jacob asks, his voice gentle yet tinged with worry as he approaches, his footsteps echoing against the damp grass.
You finally tore your gaze away from Paul somehow, your heart racing as you meet Jacob's concerned gaze. Despite the frenzy that surrounds you, his presence offers a sense of comfort, a reminder of the unwavering support that has always been there for you, negating the two weeks he had decided to ignore you for.
"I don't know what happened," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper as you try to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions that flowed through you so unexpectedly. "But I feel... different."
Bella's eyes widen in disbelief, her mind racing to comprehend the incomprehensible. But amidst the uncertainty that envelops you all, one thing remains clear—the ties that bind you to Paul, are unbreakable, defying logic and reason with an undeniable force.
"Jacob," Sam's voice cuts through the silence, his tone firm yet tinged with a hint of urgency. "Take them to Emily's. We need to talk." He motions towards Paul who was still on his knees before you.
Jacob nods in acknowledgment, his gaze flickering between you, Paul, and Sam, a silent understanding passing between them. He moves forward, his hand reaching out to gently guide you away from Paul, his touch reassuring in the confusion that surrounds you.
"Come on, Y/N, Bella," Jacob murmurs softly, "Let's go."
As Jacob reaches out to guide you away from Paul, a low, guttural growl rumbles deep within Paul's chest just as it had earlier after Bella has slapped him. His possessiveness flaring in the face of Jacob's touch. His eyes narrow, a primal instinct driving him to protect what he now considers his own.
"Hands off my girl," Paul's voice is low, but the irritated edge to it is unmistakable as he stands to takes a step towards you. His eyes never left yours. The intensity of his declaration sends a shiver down your spine, his unwavering stare holding you in a trance.
But Sam, ever the voice of reason among the sea of emotions, steps forward with a measured stride. His expression unwavering as he addresses Paul with a firm yet understanding tone. “Paul, calm down," Sam's voice carries authority, tempered with a hint of empathy as he meets Paul's frustration head-on. "We need to talk, separately. She will be just fine with Jacob."
Paul's protest is immediate, his feelings for you overwhelmingly strong. "No, she's not going anywhere without me," he insists, his voice tinged with desperation as he takes a defiant step forward, his resolve unyielding.
But Sam's gaze holds steady, his alpha like authority asserting itself in the face of Paul's defiance. "Paul, stand down," he commands, his voice brooking no argument as he meets Paul's gaze with unwavering determination. Paul winces but gives into Sam’s demands, though the reluctance is evident in the tension that lingers in his frame. His eyes remain locked on you, a silent promise of protection and devotion burning brightly within their depths.
While Jacob leads you away from Paul you can't help but feel torn between the conflicting desires that rage within you. Part of you longs to stay by Paul's side, to bask in the warmth of his unwavering love. While another part recognizes the need for clarity and understanding in the sheer confusion that threatens to consume you. And as you and Bella follow Jacob through the dense undergrowth of the forest you can't shake the feeling of Paul's presence lingering at the edges of your consciousness, a constant reminder of the inexplicable bond that now defines your existence.
Jacob guides you and Bella through a trail in the forest, a heavy silence hangs in the air, punctuated only by the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of unseen creatures. Sensing the need to break the tension, Jacob takes a deep breath before breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Look, I need to tell you both something," Jacob begins, his voice cautious yet resolute. "But it's going to sound... well, it's going to sound crazy."
You and Bella exchange a puzzled glance, the weight of Jacob's words settling uneasily in the pit of your stomachs. You've both sensed that there's more to the Quileute tribe than meets the eye, but the truth remains shrouded in mystery.
Jacob takes a moment to gather his thoughts before coming out with it. "The thing is... we're not exactly... normal," he admits, his words halting as he struggles to find the right way to explain the inexplicable. "We're... werewolves."
The revelation hangs in the air like a heavy fog, enveloping you and Bella in a cloud of disbelief. For a moment, neither of you can find the words to respond, the enormity of Jacob's confession leaving you speechless. "Werewolves?" Bella's voice is barely above a whisper, her eyes wide with shock as she looks to Jacob for confirmation.
Jacob nods solemnly, his expression grave as he meets Bella's gaze. "Yes. And there's something else. Something called imprinting."
You nodded along, “That’s what the one guy just said. We’ve got ourselves an imprint? What is that?” You asked pressing him further.
Jacob smiled knowing that your life was going to change, hopefully for the better. "It's when a wolf finds their soulmate. Their other half. The one person they're meant to be with for the rest of their lives." Bella's brow furrows in confusion, her mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of what Jacob is telling her. But you, on the other hand, feel a strange sense of recognition stir within you, a faint echo of the inexplicable connection you felt with Paul.
As Bella sighs with uncertainty, Jacob senses the weight of her confusion and seeks to provide clarity. "And... and what does that have to do with what happened back there?" Bella asks, her voice laden with hesitance as she gestures back in the direction of Paul and the pack.
Jacob's gaze flickers towards you, a silent acknowledgment passing between you as he prepares to reveal the truth. "It means that... Paul imprinted on you, Y/N," he explains gently, his eyes filled with compassion as he meets your bewildered gaze. "He's your soulmate."
“Paul.” You whispered his name out loud for the first time. Paul, your soulmate. Your heart skips a beat at the revelation, the words sinking in slowly as you struggle to comprehend the enormity of what Jacob is saying. Soulmates? It's a concept you never thought you'd entertain, let alone experience firsthand.
"Soulmate?" Bella's voice echoes your thoughts, her eyes widening in astonishment as she turns to you for confirmation.
You nod slowly, the reality of the situation beginning to sink in. "I... I don't understand it all," you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper as you grapple with the implications of Jacob's words as the three of you walked through the forest to what you assumed to be Emily’s place, whomever that was.
Jacob offers you a reassuring smile, his expression filled with understanding. "It's okay, Y/N. I know it's a lot to take in," he says softly, his tone gentle yet firm. "An imprint is... it's like finding your other half. Your perfect match. And for Paul, that's you."
Bella's eyes widen in realization, her mind racing to process the revelation. "So... he's bound to her? Like... forever?" she asks, her voice tinged with uncertainty as she seeks to grasp the intricacies of the imprinting process.
Jacob nods solemnly. "Yeah. It's a permanent bond," he explains, his tone heavy with the weight of the truth. "But it doesn't have to be romantic. It can be... it can be like a best friend too. Someone who's always there for you, no matter what."
The realization washes over you like a tidal wave, the enormity of the situation sinking in as you come to terms with the truth of Paul's imprint. It's a bond that transcends the boundaries of time and space, forging a connection between two souls that can never be broken.
And as you walked surrounded by the whispering of the trees and the steady presence of Jacob by your side, you find yourself beginning to accept the truth of your newfound destiny. The road ahead may be filled with uncertainty, but with the unwavering support of your sister and the friendship of Jacob, you know that you'll face whatever challenges may come your way head-on.
Tumblr media
As you, Bella, and Jacob step into Emily's cozy kitchen, the aroma of freshly baked muffins envelops you, a comforting contrast to the whirlwind of emotions swirling within. Emily's warm smile greets Jacob, her eyes alight with joy as she rushes forward to embrace him.
"Jacob, it's been too long!" Emily exclaims, her voice filled with genuine affection as she pulls back to look at him.
Jacob returns her embrace, offering a sheepish grin. "I know, Em. It's good to see you," he replies warmly.
Emily's gaze then shifts to you and Bella, her smile widening as she takes in your presence. "And who do we have here?" she asks, her tone friendly and inviting.
Jacob gestures towards you and Bella. "Emily, this is Y/N and Bella Swan," he introduces, a sense of pride evident in his voice. "They're new to town, and we thought I'd bring them by to meet you." He spoke referencing the pack as a whole. It was intriguing watching him operate now that you knew why he up and disappeared on you those weeks ago.
Emily's eyes widen with recognition as she looks at Bella. "Ah, the Swan sisters! Charlie's girls. I’ve heard a lot about you two," she remarks with a knowing nod. Then her gaze shifts to Bella, and her expression changes to one of surprise. "And you're the vampire girl, aren't you?"
Your heart nearly stops at Emily's words, the revelation hitting you like a sudden jolt. Vampire girl? You exchange a bewildered glance with Bella, who looks equally taken aback. Edward was a vampire? What next… mermaids?
"What? Bella? Vampires?" you stammer, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment as you struggle to comprehend Emily's words.
Bella's face turns crimson, her embarrassment palpable as she shoots you an apologetic glance. Her eyes told you that she would explain it all later. "Emily, I'm so sorry," she begins, her voice tinged with mortification. "Y/N, this is... um... kind of a long story."
As the truth about vampires and the supernatural world of Forks begins to unfold, you can't help but feel overwhelmed by the enormity of it all. But amidst the confusion and embarrassment, there's a sense of shared understanding that together you'll navigate the challenges that lie ahead. As the conversation continues in Emily's kitchen, laughter and chatter filling the air, the sound of approaching footsteps draws your attention. Sam, Paul, and Embry enter the room, their expressions relaxed and jovial as they exchange banter with Jacob.
"Hey, look who decided to join the party!" Jacob teases, a playful grin spreading across his face as he greets his packmates.
Sam chuckles, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Couldn't stay away, could we?" he retorts, a hint of mischief in his voice as he exchanges friendly jabs with Jacob.
Paul's gaze finds yours amidst the commotion, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Y/N," he says, his voice gentle yet earnest as he steps forward, his eyes meeting yours with a depth of emotion that leaves you breathless.
"Paul," you reply, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze, a rush of anticipation coursing through you at the prospect of speaking with him alone.
Sensing the unspoken tension between you and Paul, Jacob steps forward with a knowing smile. "I'll leave you two to get to know each other," he says, his tone light yet meaningful as he gives you a subtle nod of encouragement.
As Jacob and the others retreat away from the kitchen to give you and Paul some privacy, you find yourselves alone in the midst of Emily's bustling kitchen. The air crackles with anticipation as Paul takes a step closer, his eyes searching yours with an intensity that sets your heart racing. "Y/N, I wanted to talk to you," Paul begins, his voice soft yet filled with determination as he gathers his thoughts. "About what happened earlier. About us. If that’s okay with you."
You swallow hard, the weight of Paul's words hanging heavy in the air as you search for the right response. "Paul, I... I don't even know where to begin," you admit, your voice trembling with uncertainty as you struggle to find the words to express the whirlwind of emotions that threaten to overwhelm you completely.
But Paul reaches out, his hand finding yours with a gentle touch that sends a shiver down your spine. "We'll figure it out together, Y/N," he says, his voice filled with conviction. "Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you. I promise you that."
As you stand there, enveloped in the warmth of Paul's presence, a soft blush tinges your cheeks as you struggle to find the right words to express the swirl of emotions coursing through you. Your heart races with anticipation, your thoughts a jumble of uncertainty and longing. "This is all a lot," you murmur softly, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze with a shy smile. "But it's a good thing you're so... so handsome." You weren’t sure where that surge of confidence came from, maybe it was the bond. But even you couldn’t deny the sheer beauty of the man that stood before you. You feel a rush of exhilaration mixed with nervousness, unsure of how Paul will respond to your flirty compliment.
Paul's expression shifts, a mischievous twinkle dancing in his eyes as he leans in closer, his breath warm against your ear. "Is that your way of saying you think I'm cute, Y/N?" he teases, his voice low and husky.
You bite your lip, a playful glint in your eyes as you meet his gaze. "Maybe," you reply coyly, a hint of flirtatiousness creeping into your tone as you lean in closer to him. "You'll just have to stick around to find out."
As a smirk tugs at the corners of Paul's lips, his gaze intensifies, locking onto yours with a magnetic pull that leaves you breathless. You feel a surge of anticipation coursing through your veins as he leans in even closer, the air crackling with electricity between you.
"Oh, I intend to, pretty girl" Paul murmurs, his voice a low rumble that sends shivers ripping through your body. His words are filled with promise, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he closes the distance between you, his breath warm against your skin. “Don’t you worry about that.”
A soft gasp escapes your lips as Paul's hand gently cups your cheek, his touch sending waves of warmth cascading through you. Your heart pounds in your chest as his lips brush against yours in a tantalizing whisper, a feather-light caress that ignites a fire deep within your soul.
"You're so beautiful, Y/N Swan," Paul whispers against your lips, his voice filled with sincerity and admiration. "I can't help but be drawn to you. I’m forever yours pretty girl."
The sweetness of his words sends your heart soaring, a rush of euphoria washing over you as you lose yourself in the intoxicating embrace of his affection. In that moment, all doubts and fears melt away, leaving only the undeniable connection between you and Paul, a bond forged in the flames of desire and longing. And as you surrender to the irresistible pull of his embrace, you can't help but feel a sense of bliss wash over you. With Paul by your side, you know that the journey ahead will be filled with laughter, passion, and endless moments of pure, unadulterated love.

With her eyes focused on the road ahead, (y/n) kept humming to the song blasting from the radio, allowing the sound to fill her car. Even though her phone had stopped working a while ago, no longer able to connect with the endless-seeming forest surrounding her, she already felt awfully comfortable in her new home, excited about her new life in Forks.
Perhaps it was the fault of being so distracted by the pretty town she was driving through, perhaps it was the fault of her giddy self, unable to concentrate on anything in particular. Whatever it was, it didn’t help (y/n) find her new workplace, the diner she was supposed to work at, hoping to find her new home in this town she had never set foot in before.
With a sigh leaving (y/n), she parked her car in front of the police station, knowing they’d be able to guide her to find the diner. Her soft steps brought her closer to the building, walking up the stairs with a small smile glued to her lips. And even though she tried to keep her eyes focused ahead, (y/n) found herself bumping into something, or rather someone.
A pair of strong arms found their way around her waist, keeping (y/n) from losing her balance. Her eyes found a pair of dark ones, a colour so rich they told a story of longing, struggles, and yet a softness she was a stranger to.
“I am so sorry.” Softly (y/n) spoke the words, smiling at the man who had caught her. Chief Charlie Swan, a face she had seen on TV now and then, giving interviews about accidents that have happened in the area. (Y/n) felt a strange kind of warmth flush through her since she had always found him handsome, a face she’d think of when her thoughts got a chance to wander.
“That’s alright, don’t you worry. Can I help you, darling?” His voice shot shudders down her spine, momentarily having to avert her gaze to collect herself, unable to stop her smile from growing. The use of the nickname almost left her choking, unable to part from the man she already felt weirdly connected to.
“Uhm, yeah actually. I was trying to find The Lodge?” With the chief now standing a few feet away from her, she got the chance to properly study him, his moustache gracing his features, and that almost cheeky smile that gave the man an even friendlier demeanour. There was something about Charlie Swan she hadn’t ever seen in another man, something she couldn’t put her finger on, yet it was something that drew her to him like two magnets made to find one another.
“I’m about to drive there, if you want to I can take you with me, or you can follow my car with yours.”
……
“Morning, Charlie.” A soft smile tugged on her lips as she watched the chief step into the diner, taking off his hat to properly greet (y/n). It was her third week of working at the diner, slowly adjusting to her new surroundings, to the friendly town that had instantly taken her in with open arms, and to the friendliness of a certain chief who only seemed to treat her this warmly.
“Morning, sweetheart. How are you?” He sat down at the bar, staring at her with those eyes she found herself longing for every single morning, counting the minutes till he’d step into the diner.
“I’m alright, very much looking forward to my first free weekend.” Her words drew a chuckle from Charlie, who was intently watching her pour him a cup of coffee. She loved these mornings with him around, with only a handful of customers filling the diner. (Y/n) found herself sharing conversations about her old home, her hobbies, and her dreams and longings with Charlie.
“Do you have anything planned?” He took a sip of his black coffee, eyes glued to her features, not daring to look away for even just a moment. There was something unfamiliar binding these two together, something both of them felt, yet struggled to voice out, not wanting to overstep any boundaries.
“I wanted to drive down to First Beach, I miss the ocean.” (Y/n)’s soft chuckles drew some more from Charlie. Even though her coworkers had told her that they had never seen Charlie this relaxed and happy before, (y/n) tried not to overthink their back and forth, not wanting to dig her own grave in the new town she would live in for a while.
“I’m off duty on Saturday, I can come with you, if you want, show you around the area and introduce you to some friends.” Slowly she crossed her arms in front of her chest, unable to bite down her teasing grin.
“Does that mean you think of me as some kind of loner who has no friends of her own?” And with another heartily chuckle bubbling out of Chalie, he shook his head, murmuring something under his breath (y/n) couldn’t pick up on.
……
“How long have they been together?” (Y/n) was walking next to Charlie, arms wrapped around herself to try and shield herself from the cold wind. The waves were rolling ashore, wrapping the two in its icy yet gentle embrace.
“Not for long, but I fear this is something that will endure every struggle.” She watched a frown tug on Charlie’s features as he told her about his daughter’s upcoming wedding, clearly struggling with watching her grow up, turning from her dad to marry a man her father wasn’t the biggest fan of.
“Well, if you need extra moral support, I’ll gladly join you.” Charlie’s eyes found (y/n)’s, shooting her a soft smile with his arm slowly finding its way around her middle, pulling her to his side. Without overthinking what he was doing, Charlie pressed a kiss to her hairline, trying not to pay his racing heartbeat any attention.
“That’d be very sweet of you, but I’m sure you have better things to do.” She moved away from him, not far enough to escape his embrace, yet enough to get a good look at his handsome face, unable to read the expression tugging on his features.
“Better things? It’s a wedding, Charlie, what better things are there?” Both laughed in unison, eyes holding contact for a few more moments. He cleared his throat, looking away from (y/n) before they could give in to the pull that seemed to guide them. She kept close, her hand finding his big warm one to interlace their fingers. “I’ll make sure to keep you from murdering Edward, we’ll have fun, promise.”
……
“Let’s go for some shots before I force you to dance with me.” (Y/n) had her fingers intertwined with Charlie’s, pulling him through the crowd with her eyes set on their table, ready to sit down for a few. But before they could even get near their table, they were stopped by Bella’s call for her dad, forcing the two of them to a halt.
“Bells, this is (y/n).” So far (y/n) hadn’t gotten the chance to speak to Bella, not wanting to disturb Charlie and Bella’s moments together. She had met a few of the Cullen’s, and even Renée, instantly befriending the rather giddy woman. And yet, as much as she had tried to focus on the people Charlie had introduced her to, she could barely focus on them, eyes drawn to Charlie’s frame at every given moment.
“It’s lovely to meet you, Bella. You look absolutely stunning.” The girl shook (y/n)’s hand as her eyes kept flickering between her dad and (y/n), trying to figure out the relationship between the two. But before she could interrupt the somewhat awkward atmosphere now wrapping itself around the three, her name was called by Edward, stealing his bride away with a soft smile.
“Well, that was something. Shots?” Charlie’s raspy chuckles left (y/n) giggling, eyes not wanting to leave his relaxed features just yet. The dark suit he wore fit perfectly, making him appear even taller, paired with those dark eyes of his and the moustache she desperately wanted to feel scratching her skin. Charlie had a special kind of grasp on her body and soul, keeping (y/n) close without realising what he was doing to her.
“I guess she didn’t expect me to turn up with a woman, I only told her I’d bring a friend.” Her eyes grew a tad bit wider, tongue kissing her teeth as she pondered over his words. The alcohol flushing through her veins seemed to spur her on, guiding her towards Charlie with her arms finding their way around his neck.
“Did you just friendzone me, Chief Swan?” She was standing close, and could almost hear the uneven beat of Charlie’s heart, enjoying the way he was staring down at her, hands firmly placed on her waist. For a second, she debated kissing him, breaking through the wall he had built around himself for the past years, needing to protect his fragile heart.
“I doubt friends think about one another the way I think about you, sweetheart.” His words almost made her choke on her breath, wide eyes staring up at him as his thumb found her lower lip, slowly stroking the soft skin. Heat flushed through her, a fire so strong nothing could tame it, set on burning her to the ground. Silently she hoped that he’d close the gap between them, lips meeting hers in a slow kiss, but Charlie seemed to have other ideas, taking a step away from her.
“Seems like Bella and Edward are about to leave, let’s say goodbye.”
……
If (y/n) had known that she’d find herself pressed against Charlie’s car about an hour after saying goodbye to the newlyweds, she would have died in anticipation, unable to hold back her excitement. But now, as Charlie kissed her deeply, hands holding her thighs, forcing her further against his car, her thoughts were all over the place.
His name rumbled through her as his lips kissed their way down her throat, moustache scratching her soft skin just the way she had hoped it eventually would. Her gasps left her, rumbling through the quiet night. Both were heavily panting, riled up by their unfamiliar touches, not daring to let go of one another.
“We should move this inside before my neighbour gets a heart attack when she sees me fucking you out here.” Charlie’s words left (y/n) gasping, not expecting to hear foul words like these rolling off his tongue. A squeal tore through her as he squeezed her thighs, pulling her in for another heated kiss. For a few more seconds they kept making out, only pulling away from one another as their lungs ached for some more air, “Come.”
With his hand reaching out for (y/n) to take, Charlie pulled her towards his home, guiding her inside. The second the door fell shut, she found herself pressed against it, lips once again pressed against Charlie’s. Even though (y/n) wouldn’t admit to it out loud, she couldn’t help but thank her lucky stars for the way Charlie was touching her. She had been worried about pressuring him into doing things he wasn’t ready for just yet, but the way he was touching her now seemed to erase every single worry she had about a moment like this one.
“Let’s go upstairs, you deserve a nice mattress at least.” Charlie tried to part from her, wanting (y/n) to feel as comfortable as possible, but she only shook her head, fingers working on the zip of her dress, stepping out of the thin fabric. His pupils grew bigger once again, wandering up and down her underwear-clad frame. Slowly she walked towards the couch, murmuring a soft “I don’t want to waste any more time, Charlie”.
Within moments he had her in his lap, allowing her hands to work on the buttons of his white dress shirt, suit jacket long forgotten. Both were desperate to undress one another, desperate to feel their naked bodies intertwined, and desperate to touch the parts they kept on longing for.
“Fuck, I tried to hold back, I really did, tired to give you enough time, but it was torture not touching you these past days.” His words left her grinning, letting go of a simple “Same” as she pushed his shirt down his arms. Her fingers roamed his chest, exploring his warm skin. (Y/n) was too concentrated on his skin to pay his wandering fingers any attention, and how they undid her bra. Charlie’s groan ripped her out of her trance, letting her bra drop to the ground while she watched Charlie undo his trousers, set on fucking her right there and then.
“Charlie,” his name rolled off her tongue as if she was reciting a poem, set on expressing her adoration, set on telling him all about her feelings for him without needing to put them into words. “Fuck me, please, just fuck me.”
A gasp left (y/n) as Charlie flipped them around, grinning down at her as he now hovered over her, doing quick work on her soaked panties, pulling them down her trembling legs. The sight of her bare cunt left Charlie groaning, eyes taking in every inch of her now naked body, “You’re dripping baby, making such a beautiful mess.”
“Charlie, I need you inside of me, don’t make me wait any longer.” (Y/n)’s words dripped with desperation, eyes growing wide as he spat onto her cunt, saliva mixing with her arousal. He circled her bundle and grinned down at her as a string of curses rolled off her tongue. She was at his mercy, ready for the man she needed like a starving woman who needed her food, he was the air she was desperate to breathe, the one she’d search all earth for.
“Let me grab a condom.” He tried to rise from the couch, but (y/n) wouldn’t let him, pulling Charlie down for a messy kiss.
“I’m on the pill, I want to feel you.” Her words drew another groan from Charlie, grasping his cock to pump himself a few times, pushing into her without another warning. Both moaned in unison, eyes holding contact, not daring to look away for even just a second. He didn’t hold back, didn’t move slow, no, Charlie fucked her into the couch, high on the feeling of her clenching around him.
It had been too long for the both, no longer used to feeling this close to someone they actually enjoyed being around, and yet it felt better than ever before, more sincere, more loving, more intimate. They didn’t hold back, didn’t try to swallow their sounds, giving into every call, choking on one another’s name.
His fingertips dug into her skin, not daring to let go of her, of the way she fitted to him oh so perfectly. (Y/n) was sure that she’d forever remember this, forever remember his sounds, his touches, the way he fucked her into oblivion on his couch.
“Fuck, baby, you feel so good.” Charlie’s raspy voice left her gasping, arching her back off the couch, trembling thighs tightening their grip on his waist. This was messy, this was rough, this was everything the both of them needed. She felt him shift, felt him raise her hips off the fabric with another deep moan leaving them at the new angle.
“God, Charlie, you’re so fucking deep.” She was sure that she felt him in her stomach, fucking her deeper than she had ever been fucked before. The way she shook beneath him, breaths uneven, eyes wide, warned Charlie of her quickly arising high, about to cum on his cock, about to let go with a call of his name.
And it was the prettiest thing Charlie had ever seen, a sight so vulnerable, so beautiful, he felt himself tumbling over the edge seconds later, cumming deep inside of her. Her walls pulsed around his twitching cock, needing to hold on for as long as possible, not daring to part before both could relax, heavily panting.
“See, I told you, there’s no better thing than weddings.” Her whispered words left Charlie chuckling, forehead pressed against hers. He pulled (y/n) in for another kiss before he slowly pulled out of her, watching her make a mess on his couch with a smirk glued to his lips.
“Well, if they always end like that, I’ll have to drag you to a lot of them.”

I'm having some filthy thoughts about mid-20s rockstar!eddie and hotel maid!reader.
18+ only! I started typing and didn't stop, and this ended up longer than I thought it would be 😅 whoops!
cw: drug and alcohol usage, innocent!reader (but not really), oral m receiving, spit play, ball worship, exhibitionism
I think underneath the bravado and smug cockiness of his rockstar persona, Eddie is still the same Eddie we know - the one who resented how girls in high school hooked up with him just to say they hooked up with the freak. I think a buried part of him carries that with him long after he graduates. I'm sure once Corroded Coffin made it big he fucked his fair share of groupies and escorts and the like - the typical girls that would be invited to afterparties by his band managers and other such people. And that would be good for awhile, but I think eventually after the novelty wore off, their vibes would be too similar to those high school girls. Even though these ones are fucking him because he's a rockstar, they're still doing it at least partially for the clout. And while they're always good fucks - sensual, skilled, vocal - there's an air of exaggeration and performance to those encounters that Eddie gets tired of.
Jeff, Gareth, and Charlie aren't sick of it, though. They're still full of gleeful testosterone every afterparty, giggling like boys when the chicks take their teeny tops off and shake their boobs in their faces. Eddie still enjoys himself, too. He clinks shot glasses with them, and they all throw back top shelf alcohol, take bumps off the ornate coffee table, rub the dust into their gums and sink steadily into their highs. Sometimes the guys take their groupie of choice back to their individual rooms, and sometimes they don't even bother with that - they just hook up with those girls there on the couches while the leftovers dance up on each other and make eyes at Eddie. He sinks back into the armchair he's claimed for the night, sipping bourbon from a heavy tumbler and occasionally letting one of the bolder ones give him a lap dance if she mildly interests him. The girls don't dare complain that he won't fuck them; instead, his aloofness makes him all the more desirable, enough so that even a flirty word or a quick ass squeeze might send them into a dazzled tizzy and make them feel special.
You, though - standing at the hotel door after knocking politely with your elbow, a bucket full of ice and Don Perignon clutched by the handle in your small hands, held demurely in front of your starchy maid's uniform - Eddie is instantly intrigued by you. His hazy eyes light as he sees you, and he slips into his persona like a swan into water: leaning on the doorframe with one lean muscled arm, smirk like honey as he gazes down at you, his eyes raking over your body. He likes how you look up at him, your eyes all big and sweet as you hold out the bucket for him, the picture of hospitality. Your lips pull into a shy, innocent smile as he thanks you in a purr and calls you sweetheart. And now Eddie's thinking about what your lips would look like parted instead, the sounds you'd make with your head thrown back and heat across your cheeks as he gives it to you. He has a feeling that you - sweet, innocent, shy you - would never fake or exaggerate a single one of the sounds he pulls from your throat, and that's exactly what he's been wanting.
Eddie doesn't know it, but he's right: right that you are shy and sweet, and that you wouldn't fake your sounds, and that you've never even attempted to fuck someone famous before. But despite appearances, you aren't exactly innocent. You'd even consider yourself a little naughty, at least in the confines of your own mind. So when this pretty rockstar coaxes you inside, soothing your weak protestations that you're working by pointing out that no one but he and his friends are awake at three am, you find yourself rather quickly seated on his lap and breathing in his heady scent - smoke, earthen leather, and expensive cologne. You decline a bump but let him feed you one shot and then another, and when his lips capture yours, you don't stiffen or pull away. You sink into it, into him, heart pounding wildly as the music and feminine giggles and party sounds fill your ears and you realize this is really happening.
Before you know it, Eddie's tongue is down your throat and his fingers are tweaking your hardened nipples through your cotton uniform. You moan breathily into his mouth and he wonders how far you'll be willing to let him go. The thought that you'd let him have his way with you here, in front of Charlie, Jeff, and Gareth and all the groupies and escorts and band managers - so many fuckin' people in this room, when did that happen, anyway? - makes his dick almost painfully hard. He palms the back of your head as his kiss grows more aggressive, more demanding, and it's cute how you try to keep up with him.
Considering your shyness, Eddie is surprised how easy it is to get you on your knees. Your mouth salivates as he stands and unbuckles his belt, and the sound of others in the room noticing what you and he are doing feels distant as he takes out his cock. It's ruddy and thick if not too long, pierced on the end with two silver balls that make you want to feel that metal against your tongue. Your head spins pleasantly as Eddie thrusts into your mouth, and he's gratified at how willing you are as you let him work his way into your throat. "That's it, baby," he groans, his dick kicking against your tongue as you look up at him with big wet eyes. His palms press to your ears, holding your head still as he sets a shallow but insistent pace, fucking your face in plain view of the others. "You're a fuckin' angel," he praises you roughly, and you whine happily, throbbing between your legs beneath your uniform. "Stick out that little tongue for me." You obey, and he taps his cockhead against it, smearing your spit over his pinked skin.
There are the groupies and escorts with their perfect makeup and flawless skin, and then there's you, baby hairs sticking to your skin as Eddie rubs his cock all over your face, getting you messy with your own spit. You kneel on the hotel carpet and let him, still with that dumb little smile and your thighs squeezed tight as you try to bring yourself some relief.
Eddie thinks, then, that maybe you'll let him do anything - anything he wants. He holds up his cock towards his belly button, and his sack brushes your nose. "Lick my fuckin' balls," he tells you, thrilling inside when you dive right in, burying your face between his legs, licking and suckling with your sweet little lips and your hot little tongue. He holds you against him with a grip on your hair, and you hum as he grinds himself against your face. "Fuck," he hisses, repeating it almost desperately when he catches a glance of your face when his fist tugs up his cock, so sweet and smitten as you look up at him.
A need burns in the pit of Eddie's belly, and that's when he knows:
He's going to fuckin' ruin you.

Okay okay... hear me out... your dad is Charlie Swan right? Either you're Bella's sibling or whatever but the important thing is Charlie is your dad, and he knows vampires are trying to seduce you. He knows they're going to get you into a world of trouble that he's helpless to fight against and YES of course he wants his baby to he happy but he also doesn't want you to end up dead or undead or anything to do with being dead in any form. So when you tell him you've been seeing this guy, and he's a little older but you really like him, Charlie's stomach drops. He thinks you mean hundreds of years older, that you've finally succumbed to whatever curse is in this godforsaken town that his kids always end up tangled up with these bedazzled leeches. But of course he loves you and wants you to be happy, so he agrees to meet the guy. The day comes and Charlie is sitting at the kitchen table, cleaning and prepping his shot gun when there's a knock at the door. He opens it to meet a rugged looking guy with a shotgun of his own.
"Dean!" Your voice comes from behind them as you descend the stairs, tackling him with a hug. Dean smiles warmly, greeting you with a kiss on the cheek before introducing himself and giving Charlie a firm handshake. To say Charlie is surprised is an understatement.
"So you're not a vampire? Werewolf? Leprechaun?" Charlie asks. Dean laughs, but there's a serious look in his eye when he answers.
"100% flesh and blood." He states. The relief Charlie feels is incomparable. Just when he thinks he can't like this Dean guy anymore, he tells Charlie why he's in town other than seeing you.
"There's actually a nasty vampire den in town I'm planning on getting rid of. You might know them, go by the Cullens?"
Suffice it to say, two things happened at once - Charlie, for the first time in your life, fully approved of one of your boyfriends, and the Swans joined the Winchesters as one of the most notorious demon and monster hunting families in North America.

Because It's You | Jacob Black Oneshot
Moving was something (Y/N) Swan was already used to. With her mother trailing her up and down, following Phil Dwyer until they finally settled in Florida. But the novelty of living in a hot crowded state had grown old and something inside her was calling to the coldness of Forks, Washington.
She didn’t understand the sudden urge to move back to her birthplace, but it remained incessant inside her. Growing every day that passed. Her skin itched for the gloomy nature of Forks. The rainy days, the freezing winters, the chilling winds, and the smell of the pines. Long gone was her love for the humid air, the bustling streets, and the burning sun of Jacksonville.
“Mom, can I talk to you?”  (Y/N) peeked her head into her mother’s bedroom one day.
Renee smiled and patted the empty spot on the bed beside her. “Of course, honey. What’s up?”
“For some time now I’ve been thinking about moving to Forks with Bella and dad,” she confessed. “It’s not that I don’t like living here, don’t get me wrong. It’s simply that something keeps calling me over.”
“Oh, (Y/N), you don’t need to feel bad for wanting a change in scenery,” Renee consoled. “And I know that your father will be absolutely thrilled to have you there. And even though I will miss you a lot. I, more than many, understand the need to find a new pace.”
“I’m so happy you understand, mom,” she beamed. “I promise as soon as I can I’ll come and visit you. And I’ll call you as much as I can and send you messages.”
“Maybe you’ll finally get Bella out of that weird funk she’s in over that boy.”
“First loves are something that are hard to get over. That’s something you taught me.”
“Oh, me and my ramblings,” Renée chuckled. “Do you need any help packing up?”
“I’ve got it,” (Y/N) smiled. “Thanks, mom.”
The girl packed excitedly, a morose feeling creeping up her back. It wouldn’t be her first time in the cold and rainy lands of Forks, Washington. But it would be the first time she would remain there for the foreseeable future. A mix of nostalgia and anticipation crept through her veins and made their home in her heart.
The hardest part was saying goodbye to her mother. She would miss the woman’s sporadic need to change things up. Whether it was a wall color, a couch, or even a state, their household was always in a constant state of evolution. (Y/N) could never say her life felt monotonous.
Still, she embarked on the seven-hour journey to Washington, ready to start her new life and answer whatever call the town had made to her.  She could feel it deep in her bones that there was a reason moving to Forks was the right decision for her, and she couldn’t wait to find out what it was.
Sleep overtook her two hours into the flight, her brain shutting down as tiredness flushed it. One second her eyes were focused on a book, the next, her head had fallen against the side of the plane and flashes of images started fluttering behind her eyelids.
But (Y/N) could not understand the visions that her subconscious played for her. She saw a gigantic wolf with russet-colored fur. She saw the back of a man with short brown hair and tan skin. She saw tears. But what jolted her awake was that she saw a baby. And the stewardess welcoming the passengers to Port Angeles, Washington.
She quickly gathered her things, unable to shake the image of that baby from her head. She couldn’t erase the image of the child’s coal black hair, its soft tan skin, its unforgettable big brown eyes. Every feature of the tiny baby had sewn into the very fibers of her brain. But she had to squash it down. To believe that what her imagination had conjured was only that, her imagination. (Y/N) was starting a new chapter and she did not want a silly dream to set off the tone for the rest of her book.
“I can’t believe how much you’ve grown,” Charlie Swan beamed as his eyes fell on his younger daughter. “I swear only yesterday you were a little girl asking to learn how to ride her bike.”
“Hey, dad,” she smiled, wrapping her arms around her father’s waist, sinking into the warmth of his body. “Can’t believe it’s been almost three years since I’ve seen you.”
“Yeah, three years too long,” he chuckled. “But I’m glad I’ve got both my girls with me now. Even if Bella is not quite herself right now.”
“Don’t worry, dad. We’ll get her back to being herself in no time.”
“I sure hope so, kiddo,” he sighed. “Now let’s get you home.”
Both Swans rolled suitcases and carried bags to the cruiser, joy wrapping around them comfortingly. (Y/N) had always loved visiting her dad. Even if it was only two months of the year, she enjoyed spending time with the awkward and lovable man.
Charlie had always tried hard to be a good father. He’d done everything he could to fit a whole year into eight weeks, trying with all his might to form a strong relationship with his daughters. He had always felt guilty for letting Renée take them without much fight, but he had believed it was the best decision for all of them. Even if he could only see his girls for a small amount, they would know how much they were loved.
“I have to warn you, kiddo, Bella is not herself,” Charlie finally spoke. “She’s kind of like the living dead. She goes to school, she goes to work, and she locks herself in her room. It’s like she’s stuck in autopilot and can’t turn it off.”
“Well, it’s her first-ever boyfriend. She’s probably still reeling from the fact that she lost her first love.”
“I guess,” he sighed defeatedly. “I just want her to get better. A boy is never worth your tears.”
It wasn’t long until they were parking in front of the house. The night was quiet, somehow unaware that there was now a new resident in its midst. Even the house had no idea that she had come home. Everything was just as she had remembered. From the couches to the curtains, to the dated kitchen, it was stuck in time.
“You’ve still got your same room,” Charlie smiled. “I wasn’t sure what you’d like so I kept it the same. We can change it up any time you want though. Buy some new paints and sheets or whatever.”
“Thanks, dad,” (Y/N) responded in kind. “And I’ll take you up on that offer. It’s been a while since I’ve liked bright green paint on my walls.”
“Alright, kiddo. Why don’t you go ahead and turn in for the night? Bella is definitely already in bed so you can try and catch up tomorrow afternoon after school,” he offered. “You start on Monday anyway, so you won’t see her until she comes back.”
“That’s done. I’m honestly exhausted and will probably sleep in,” she sighed contentedly. “Well, good night, dad.”
“Night, kiddo. Welcome home.”
Her childhood bedroom was truly exactly like the last time she had seen it. The walls were painted a painful neon lime green, the sheets a shade of teal that seemed too bright for the darkness of the night, and books and dolls littered shelves on the wall. She quickly felt like she had never left home. Only a couple of months into being sixteen and she had regressed to her thirteen-year-old self.
She could see herself spending her summer days in her room, playing make-believe, and imagining what it would have been like to spend more than two months living in Forks, Washington. She dreamed of how it would feel to spend the freezing winters bundled up in front of the fire and drinking hot chocolate. To watch the snow fall as she breathed in the scent of pines and damp soil. To know more of the souls that lived in the small town and the reservation.
After her eyes ran across the room, they fell on a little wolf carved out of redwood. She had forgotten it had existed, but looking at it then made a smile spread across her face. It was choppy and amateurly made, but it had been a sweet token of appreciation from a dear friend.
They had been but ten-year-old kids playing around the barn behind the Black residence. Jacob Black had been excited to show (Y/N) something he had made her, his face lit up with excitement. He dug into the pockets of his too-big-fit cargo pants and pulled out the little wolf.
“Mom used to say that wolves are a totem of protection,” he said sheepishly. “I want to make sure you have something that’s always protecting you. Even if it might seem like it’s all make-believe, but good vibes and everything.”
“It’s beautiful, Jake,” she had smiled. “I’ll keep it with me always.”
“Good, I don’t want anything to ever happen to you.”
“What’s that?” Bella had asked, joining the kids after going to the bathroom. She was already a head taller than the other two, and the fact that she was thirteen already was evident in how disinterested she had been to spend time with her sister and their friend. “It looks bad. Like you couldn’t have spent more than five bucks on it.”
“I made it,” Jake had peeped, his skin turning a deep hue of red. “I spent a whole month working on it.”
“Oh,” she had answered, taking it from her sister’s hands and inspecting it. “It’s cute.”
“Well, I think it’s amazing.” (Y/N) had snatched the totem back. “And it’s mine so your opinion doesn’t really matter, Bella.”
“It’s okay, (Y/N). You don’t have to say it’s good,” Jake shrugged. “I can take it back.”
“No, you have it to me, and I love it. You can’t take gifts back.”
She couldn’t believe she had forgotten the little totem had existed. She ran her fingers over the carved fur, the lopsided snout, the painted black eyes, and the slightly sharp ears. It was still as beautiful to her as she had thought the first time she had seen it. And it made her think of the boy she had grown up with.
It made her wonder how he looked. How tall he had become, how long his hair could have gotten, how broad his shoulders could have become. She wondered if his smile was just as bright, if his hugs were just as warm, and if his laughter was just as melodious. She wanted to know if he was still the same boy she had loved since she was a kid.
The next morning, rather the afternoon, she had woken to the sun beaming on her face. Even in the midst of the January snow, the sun was as bright. (Y/N) stretched out the soreness in her muscles, the seven hours sat on a plane taking a toll on her body. She rolled out of her bed, her eyes taking a second to adjust to her new surroundings. She wasn’t back in her room in Florida, wondering which shorts she would wear to take on the ravishing humidity and heat. She was in Forks now, rummaging through her suitcases for the warmest sweater she owned.
After she had gotten dressed, she noticed the note that had been taped to the door, her father’s scribbly handwriting evident from far away. She took the paper in her hands, a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.
Thought you might need some wheels to get around, kiddo. It might not be too new, but it runs perfectly. You have Jake to thank for that. Keys are on the kitchen table. J
The girl took off in a run, excitement running through her veins. Before going outside and seeing her new car, she stopped by the kitchen grabbing the keys and a chocolate chip muffin. Outside, a 1971 baby blue C-10 Chevy pickup truck was parked on the driveway, a thin sheet of white snow covering the car. It had been the very car she had been obsessed with since she was a kid and she had started to love cars just like Jake had.
She sat on the driver’s seat, turning on the engine, allowing the car to warm up. Her eyes unconsciously closed, reveling in the rumbling of the car and the warmth that the heater blew. The truck sounded beautiful, as beautiful as she thought it would have been in the 70s, maybe even better. Her fingers traced the inside of the car. She touched the gear shift and the steering wheel. She grazed the stereo that had definitely been replaced and the soft leather seats that had been clearly upholstered. It was perfect.
Jake had outdone himself with the car and it had made her heart flutter that he had put so much care into fixing it. All she wanted was to thank him. And that’s exactly what she had planned to do.
She remembered the road that led to the La Push reservation like the back of her hand. She had spent so many summer days there while her father worked, and she had been excited every single day she went there. The same excitement she felt as she parked by the beach to wait until the high school let out and she could finally see Jacob.
She found a spot on the beach, sitting on a piece of driftwood, watching as the waves rolled in and out of the shore. Even in winter, the reservation was always just a bit warmer, a bit cozier. (Y/N) had always enjoyed the time she spent there just as much as she loved Forks. She loved going to bonfires and splashing around on the beach. She loved the people that lived there and how welcoming they had always been toward her.
A loud hooting broke (Y/N)’s trance, her head snapping to the right end of the beach, not too far from her, where three boys were shouting from the top of a cliff. They were all tall and of deep-tanned skin, their hair chopped similarly, and something she could only assume was a tattoo on the right biceps of each of their arms. She couldn’t believe they were thinking of jumping into the ice-cold ocean, much less than she could believe how little clothes they were wearing.
Her eyes focused on the way the first one jumped, going straight down with a joyful scream before he slipped effortlessly into the water. He disappeared for a second into the dark waves, before he resurfaced with a cocky grin on his face. As he swam to shore, the second boy jumped and her head snapped to see him plummet just as flawlessly into the water.
“You’re not from around here,” a voice called her attention. It was the first boy. His dark brown hair was dripping, the drops falling onto his bare chest. “I would have remembered a pretty face like yours.”
(Y/N) could feel her cheeks growing red, the warmth that filled her body pooling in her face. “I’m not from around here, you’re right,” she smiled. “I’m from Forks. But I used to come here a lot when I was a kid.”
“And why haven’t you been here since then?”
“I just moved back,” she responded. “I’m (Y/N) Swan.”
“The sheriff’s younger daughter,” he said with a grin, sitting next to her. “I’m Paul Lahote. And on behalf of all the residents of La Push, I formally welcome you back to Washington.”
“Well; thank you, Mr. Lahote,” she chuckled. “It’s good to be back.”
“So, are you back for a visit or are you back for good?”
“And why would that be important information, Paul?” (Y/N) smiled teasingly.
“Well, if you’re just here for a visit then I won’t ask you out,” he smiled deviously. “If you’re here for good, then I’m not leaving until you say yes.”
“What if I say now?”
“I don’t take no for an answer.”
“Good,” she grinned the same way he had. “Because I was going to say yes.”
That very afternoon (Y/N) went home with a smile on her face, a new number in her directory, and a forgotten boy pushed into a dark corner of her brain. Her head had been filled with the image of a new one. Paul Lahote’s face had engrained itself in her, sending a rush of dopamine and serotonin through her body.
It wasn’t long until weeks had passed, and she seemed to be spending more and more time with one Paul. She had started visiting the reservation more and more, but it had never been to see the one person she had promised herself to reconnect with. She was spending her time with the Lahote boy, doing much more than just talking. She was sure that she was falling in love. At least she hoped that’s what it was.
Her schedule had become packed. It had been completely occupied by school, long dates in Port Angeles and the rez, and trying to get her sister out of the funk that had started to make the house reek. (Y/N) had grown tired of it and so had Charlie. Bella needed to make a change, for herself and her family.
Though as more time passed it seemed that Bella had found something to occupy her mind. The older Swan seemed to be in the house less and less, leaving early on weekends and coming home late, mimicking her little sister’s behavior. If she wasn’t at school or at work, she would be out of the house with the one person (Y/N) had seemed to forget.
“Why do you think she hasn’t come see me?” Jake had asked Bella one day as they worked on the motorcycles. “She’s been here almost a full month and I have yet to see her.”
“I don’t really know,” she shrugged. “She’s barely in the house when I’m there and I honestly haven’t asked.”
“I just thought…”
“Why haven’t you gone to see her? When I got here you were one of the first people on the welcoming committee.”
“Yeah, and look how well that turned out for me,” he chuckled dryly. “I just want it to come from her to want to see me. I don’t wanna ambush her.”
“Is this about the little crush you used to have on her when you were kids?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he blubbered.
“It was obvious you two liked each other. You would get so red in the face and nervous when she was around,” Bella laughed. “You would get all flustered and tongue-tied, it was cute.”
“Was it that obvious?”
“A blind person would have seen it,” she grinned. “But it doesn’t matter now.”
“What’re you talking about?” Jake questioned, his brows furrowing in curiosity. “Why doesn’t it matter, Bella?”
“She’s been dating one of Sam Uley’s friends. Uh, Paul Lahote I think he’s called,” Bella responded. She could see anger surging through him, his body shaking slightly with ire. “She basically spends all her time with him. I’m surprised you haven’t run into them here.”
“I haven’t,” he spoke through gritted teeth. “He’s not a good guy, Bella. You need to tell her to stay away from him.”
“You and I both know that no one can tell (Y/N) what to do,” she chuckled slightly. “And why shouldn’t she date whoever she wants? He hasn’t done anything bad to her.”
“But he will,” Jake spat. “Paul Lahote is bad news, and it won’t take long before he breaks (Y/N)’s heart.”
“Why do you care so much, Jake?” Bella pushed, for some reason growing annoyed at her friend. “She’s old enough to do whatever she wants. No, to be with whoever she wants. It’s not really my place to tell her who she can or can’t date.”
“You’re her older sister, Bella!” the boy exclaimed. “Why do I care? Why don’t you care enough?!”
“I do care,” she argued. “But I also know what it’s like when people start to comment on who you can and can’t be with. I’m not doing that to her.”
“So, you wouldn’t stop what happened to you from happening to her?” He was blind with anger now. He had closed any space between them, staring her down. “You would rather let her be heartbroken and try and protect her from getting hurt? You’d rather both of you be miserable than spare her the pain that I know she will be in? You have a chance to spare her heartache, Bella. You owe your sister that much.”
“What about you, Jake?” Bella added, standing her ground, and facing up to him. “Why don’t you tell her that Paul is such a bad guy? Why don’t you spare her all this hypothetical heartache instead of forcing me to do it for you? Or are you too scared to face her since she has someone else to occupy her time?”
“If she hasn’t come to see me, it’s clear she didn’t want to,” he said, his voice clearly broken. “But I am begging you. Tell her. It’s not a matter of how, but when he will do something to hurt her.”
“(Y/N) can make her own decisions,” Bella responded. “Heartbreak is a part of life. She’ll get over it.”
“Like you have?” Jacob called as the girl had started to make her way to her car. “If something goes wrong, it’ll be on you, Bella.”
“No, it’ll be on the both of us.”
But they didn’t know that moment would come sooner than they could have thought.
(Y/N) had not been feeling well for at least a week. Her body felt sore, and her stomach felt uneasy. Nothing she ate stayed down long enough to fill the unbearable hunger she seemed to have. She felt as awful as could be and she was ready to pass out by drinking the cold and flu medicine she was holding in the pharmacy.
But as she perused the aisles of the brightly lit establishment, her eyes fell on the sleuth of pink and purple boxes that were yelling at her. It was a hard thing to fathom, but it was a perfectly plausible explanation to how she was feeling. Her symptoms, and the fact that she had missed her monthly in January, were to the book the thing she was most dreading.
Time seemed to warp as she drove home, two pink boxes buried deep in her purse. One second, she was cowering from the cashier, embarrassed as she placed the boxes on the counter. And the next, she was making a beeline to the bathroom, locking herself inside as her father and sister called for her.
She had never thought five minutes could ever feel so long.
Five minutes and she would know if her whole life was about to change.
Dread was the only feeling that washed over her. As the seconds counted down, she could feel her heart dropping. Deep down, she knew what the answer would be. She knew that when the time was finally over, she would l have to accept her new reality. It was daunting. She was only sixteen and she was on her way to face one of the most life-changing events that anyone could go through.
(Y/N) could have never thought that a pink cross on a piece of plastic could be so permanent. She was holding the pregnancy tests in her hand, the two of them producing a very dark pink plus sign. There was no denying that they were positive. There was no denying that at that very moment, inside her body, was a bundle of cells multiplying to create a baby.
“Hey, kiddo,” Charlie called out from the other side of the door. His voice startled her, making the tests clatter loudly against the sink. “What was that? Is everything okay, (Y/N)?”
“Uh, yeah, dad,” she choked out as she finally opened the door.  “Everything’s fine. Just knocked over the toothbrushes.”
“Are you sure, kid? You look paler than a ghost.”
“I’m fine, dad,” she said, trying her best to give a convincing smile. “I actually just remembered I have to run out for a bit. Miriam just texted me and I forgot to give back her science textbook and she has a test tomorrow. I’m gonna go give it to her.”
“Okay, honey. As long as you’re okay,” he responded. Charlie could tell there was something lingering underneath his daughter’s smile, but he could see how hard she was trying to hide whatever it was. “Be careful on the road, alright? And don’t come home too late.”
“I will. I’ll, uh, see you guys later.”
In an instant, she was back in her truck and speeding down to the reservation. At that moment, she needed Paul’s comfort. She needed him to tell her that everything would be okay, and that they would figure things out together. She craved feeling his warm arms around him and listening to the soft coo of his voice as he calmed her down. All she wanted was him.
She reached the Lahote residence in record time, jumping out of the car and running to the front door. (Y/N) knocked against the blue-painted wood frantically, calling Paul’s name incessantly. She knew his father wouldn’t be home that night, taking night shifts was something he was prone to and that day had not been different. The girl rapped on the door, over and over again, until it finally swung open.
“(Y/N)!” Paul exclaimed in surprise. “What are you doing here, baby? I wasn’t expecting you.”
Overwhelming anxiety burst inside the girl and all she could do to not break down in front of him was to wrap her arms around his waist tightly. “We gotta talk, Paul,” she cried softly. “It’s… I don’t know how it happened l, but… I’m just so scared.”
“What’re you talking about, (Y/N)? You’re not making any sense.”
The youngest Swan couldn’t find the words to tell him. She wanted what she said to be perfect. For there to be no flaw to her monologue that could make him desist of the idea that this was what was meant to happen. That maybe it was a sign that they were always meant to meet and be together for the rest of time.
But a voice suddenly burst the delusion that (Y/N) had built in her head. “Paul, baby, come back to bed,” the voice whined. “Get rid of whoever’s at the door.”
(Y/N) released herself from Paul’s grasp, feeling as though his touch had burned her. He looks like a deer caught in headlights, surprise opening his eyes. “Who is that?” (Y/N) asked sternly, making the boy scramble for words. “Do you have another fucking girl in your room right now, Paul?”
“It’s not what it looks like, (Y/N).”
“Not what it looks like?! She just called you back to bed, baby,” she mocked. “I am pretty sure you’re not in there helping her with homework.”
Paul’s shocked expression didn’t last long. His agape mouth and huge eyes were instantly replaced by a stoic mask. “So, what, (Y/N)?” Paul spat. “I haven’t done anything wrong.”
“Nothing wrong?!” (Y/N) yelled. “You’re cheating on me! How can you think you haven’t done anything wrong?”
“How could I be cheating?” he shrugged. “You and I were never exclusive.”
The girl felt like she had been punched in the stomach. Her chest tightened, squeezing out whatever little breath that was left in her lungs. She felt warm tears fall from her eyes before she could do anything to stop them.
“I thought you actually loved me,” she said with a broken voice. “Did I mean nothing to you?”
“Look, (Y/N), you’re a great girl, but you had to know this was gonna end sooner or later,” Paul said. “Let’s just call this what it is, a fling. We were just having fun.”
“It wasn’t a fling to me! I fell for you, Paul! I loved you.”
“I’m sorry, (Y/N, but  I thought you knew what this was,” he sighed. “We were never gonna last long anyway.”
“I can’t believe this,” she said to herself. “I’m such an idiot. How could I have ever believed you?”
“At the end of the day, I hope we can still be friends.”
Now it was (Y/N)’s turn to be completely aghast. She had borne her heart to him; she had given him her time, her body, her soul. She had trusted that he returned the sentiment, even if it was a fraction of what she felt for him –that would have been enough. But he didn’t. He never had. And he was asking her to remain in his life as a friend with a sickening grin on his face.
She wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, she wanted to claw out that smile he was giving her. Still, deep down, she wanted him to choose her, to want her, to need her. She wanted him to be devastated that he was losing her, devastated that he had hurt her. Instead, he was giving her empty promises of friendships, and devaluing her as nothing more than a way to pass the time. She was carrying his child and he wanted them to be friends.
“You know what, Paul? You can take your friendship and shove it up that girl’s ass,” she spat. “I don’t want you to call me, I don’t wanna see you, I don’t wanna even remember that you exist. You will regret this, Paul. You don’t even know how much right now.”
(Y/N) got into her car, ignoring Paul’s calls of her name. The last thing she wanted was for him to see her cry and revel in the fact that he was the one that had made her spill tears. She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing just how deep her hurt was.
Only when she was in the safety of her truck and far enough away that he couldn’t see her did she allow the water to stream down her cheeks. It was an overwhelming surge of emotions –betrayal, heartbreak, sadness. All she wanted was to not feel that way, not anymore, not ever again.
In her distraction, she didn’t notice the person crossing the street. Only when she was seconds away from crashing into them did she look up and slammed on her brakes. The stranger braced themselves, their hands landing on the hood of her car, their face shielded by the hoodie they wore. Until they raised their head and (Y/N)’s world came crashing down.
The brown eyes that stared at her unmistakably belonged to the one person she had yet to see since she had come back to Forks, Washington. He seemed frozen for a second. Standing there in the middle of the night, staring at a specter from his past. All the questions she’d had about him, answer in a swift second.
Jacob didn’t understand what Sam had meant when he had explained imprinting. The shift in gravity, the way your whole being seems to incline toward that one person. Nothing else matters but them. He thought it was fiction. A way he could explain choosing his ex’s cousin after breaking her heart. But at that very second, he knew just how true it was.
The second he locked eyes with (Y/N) he felt it in the pit of his soul. He was almost sure he could see the way his world had changed, and everything became her, became about her. In that instant, he could feel her sadness. Whatever pain was tormenting her, he could feel it wrenching its way into his own heart. All he wanted was to wrap his arms around her and tell her that everything would be okay.
Instead, he kept quiet. He looked into her tear-streaked eyes, and he ran. He ran until his legs were burning with pain, until his lungs were begging for air, until his whole body hurt to be near her again. He understood Sam, but he didn’t want to. He had even gone as far as trying to force himself to imprint on Bella, that way he could forget the void that (Y/N) had created in his heart.
(Y/N) had avoided him for over a month. She had come home, and she had yet to even show her face to say hello to his father. She had preferred to run to the arms of Paul Lahote and forget the people that cared about her.
Most of his childhood he had hoped for a moment like this with her. A sign from the universe that she was the person meant for him. Even at his young age, he knew what love felt like. Jake had experienced it the moment he laid eyes on (Y/N). But she had made the decision to invest her time with someone he knew would only break her. A guy that would use her until there was nothing left and discard her the second he got bored.
And something told him that’s exactly what Paul had done.
He didn’t know where he was going until he was standing in front of the blue-colored door, banging loudly against it. “Paul!” Jake screamed. “Open this god-dammed door!”
“What the hell is up with people tonight?” Paul grumbled as he swung the door open. “What the hell do you want, Jacob?”
“What did you do to (Y/N)?” the boy said, fuming.
“What’re you talking about, Jake?” Paul pretended. “I haven’t done anything.”
“I just saw her, driving away and absolutely destroyed,” he seethed. “So, I’m gonna ask you again. What the hell did you do to her?”
“Why do you suddenly care about her, Jacob? It’s been over a month, and you haven’t even said hello to her,” he deflected, a mischievous laugh leaving his mouth. “Could it be because you just imprinted on her? Maybe you should be worrying about that rather than trying to pick a fight with me.”
“We’re not talking about me, right now. Now, I’ll be the bigger man and not access your thoughts, because I don’t need them to know what a jackass you are and that you’re the one that hurt her,” Jacob retorted, squaring up to Paul and staring him down. “So, I will ask you one last time before I beat the shit out of you for absolutely no reason, what the fuck did you do to (Y/N)?”
“I just reminded her that what was happening between us was just a bit of fun,” he shrugged, chuckling. “It’s not my fault she built up a whole fantasy in her head about us.”
“She was in love with you, and you broke her heart,” Jake scoffed. “Tell me was it worth it?”
“What was worth it?”
“Losing the best girl you could’ve had by your side all for a night of fun.”
(Y/N) didn’t take much time to dwell on why Jake had run away, or why her heart wrenched tighter as he left. She could only process one thing at a time and the most pressing matter was the fact that she was pregnant, the baby’s father had cheated on her –or sort of cheated—and she was left to decide what to do all by herself.
The second she got back home, she ran up the stairs and into her room. Once more ignoring her father’s calls to her name. She simply wanted to sink into her bed and disappear, to make every bad thing that had occurred in the last hour disappear. If that was only a fraction of how her sister was feeling, she never wanted to know the expanse of that pain. All she wanted was for things to stop.
“Hey, kiddo. Can I come in?” Charlie knocked softly on her door. He couldn’t bring himself to pass the threshold. Not without her confirmation. It wasn’t until she nodded softly, her face mostly shielded by the pillow she held tightly, that he entered the room. “Talk to me, (Y/N), what’s going on? And I’m assuming this isn’t about a textbook.”
“It’s not,” (Y/N)’s broken voice peeped. “I screwed up, dad.”
Charlie sat beside her on the bed, wrapping his arms around her. She shifted her hold from the pillow to her father, enjoying the comforting warmth from his body, allowing it to ease the pain she felt. As she settled against him, he had started rubbing her back, letting her empty herself of tears on him.
“What happened, kiddo?” he said, trying his best to not let his voice break as he stared at his youngest daughter. It was the first time he had seen her so distraught, and it broke him just as much as he had broken when Bella had been in that kind of pain. “I’m sure we can fix whatever it is, but you’ve gotta talk to me, kid. I can’t fix it if you don’t talk.”
“You’re gonna hate me for it,” she sobbed. “And I can’t take you hating me, dad.”
“Honey, there is absolutely nothing in this world you can do that will ever make me hate you,” he said, staring deeply into her reddened eyes, a hand on her wet cheek. “Even if you tell me right now that you’ve killed someone, I could never hate you.”
“You can’t say that, dad,” she chuckled. “You’re the sheriff.”
“No, but it made you laugh,” he smiled. “Now, come on, tell me what’s wrong, (Y/N).”
(Y/N) finally sat up, unable to face her father as she confessed what happened. She could not witness the look of disappointment she was sure would befall on his face. “I found out I was pregnant tonight,” she sighed defeatedly. “I went to see the father when I told you I was going to Miriam’s house, but I caught him cheating and I couldn’t even tell him. And now, I’m pregnant and alone, and I don’t know what to do, dad. I’m so scared.”
Instead of anger and displeasure, her father surprised her by wrapping her in a tight embrace. He cooed her as she sobbed into the hug, letting herself fall apart in Charlie’s arms. She had been so sure that he would yell at her, chastise her for being a stupid child. But he had never been that type of man, and he never would be. “Oh, honey,” he said as he smoothed down her hair. “You’re not alone, kiddo. You’re never going to be alone in anything as long as I’m around.”
“I screwed up, dad,” she cried against his chest. “I don’t know what to do and I’m terrified.”
“Well, we’ll go to the doctor as soon as we can and we can weigh out your options,” he offered. “It’s up to you whether you wanna keep it, if you wanna give it up for adoption, or if you don’t wanna have it at all.”
“I don’t… I don’t think I wanna give it up, dad,” (Y/N) responded sheepishly. It was the first thing she had told herself. No matter what, she wanted to go through the pregnancy –with or without Paul. “Even if I have to do it by myself, I want to have this baby.”
“Again, you’re not alone, kid,” he smiled. “And if keeping the baby is what you want then that’s what we’ll do.”
“He’s right, (Y/N),” Bella added. She joined her father and sister on her bed, a soft smile stretching the corners of her mouth. “I know I haven’t been there for you for a while –I haven’t been me for a while—but you are never alone. You will always have us.”
“That’s right,” Charlie beamed, his two daughters wrapped in his arms. “We’ll take it one day at a time, kid. And let me know the kid’s name. I might have a way to scare him straight. You think a night in a jail cell would do?”
“That’s illegal, Charlie,” Bella laughed. “But, for him, I think it’s worth it.”
“He’s not worth even another thought,” (Y/N) joined. “But thank you for offering, dad.”
“Sure thing, kiddo,” he grinned. “Now, I’ll still make that doctor’s appointment as soon as possible and we’ll see what our next steps are. You’ll also have to tell your mom, but we can do that together. You should get some rest right now.”
“Thanks, dad. For everything.”
“You’re never alone, kid. I love you.”
“Love you too.”
“I’m so sorry this happened, (Y/N),” Bella said as soon as Charlie had left the room. “I should have prevented this.”
“There was no way you could have known, Bells,” she sighed. “Paul is just a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.”
“But I did know. Not about the cheating but that he was a bad guy. Jacob told me.”
At the sound of Jacob’s name, her heart panged. The very boy that had been in her head since she was little. The very boy that had run away from her only an hour before. “Don’t blame yourself,” she added. “I don’t think I would have listened to you. I was so blinded by him that I would have probably fought you about it. It’s on me that I didn’t see the signs.”
“No, (Y/N). It’s on him for being a shitty guy.”
“I guess,” she chuckled. “But I’ve also been a shitty person. I’ve been here for such a long time already and I haven’t gone to see Jake. I’m a horrible friend.”
“Unfortunately, that I can’t spin,” she grimaced. “But so is he. Contact goes both ways, and he hasn’t come to see you either. And he’s been avoiding me for a while too.”
“I saw him tonight,” she added meekly. “I almost ran him over.”
“You did?! What happened?”
“He ran away,” (Y/N) shrugged. “He stared at me for a second and then he ran.”
“That boy needs to stop disappearing like that,” she sighed. “He came over the other night. Told me he was avoiding me for a reason that he couldn’t explain. I’m gonna go confront him about it tomorrow.”
“Can I come? I think seeing you yell at him will cheer me up.”
“I think having you there will make him more nervous,” she grinned at her sister. “And I don’t know if that’s better or worse.”
“Why would he get nervous?” (Y/N) questioned, her curiosity quickly peaking. “It’s just me. Bella’s little sister.”
“Are you serious?”
Bella was staring at her like she had muttered the dumbest words she had heard, but she had only said what she truly believed. Jake had always had a crush on Bella and (Y/N) was just her little sister. “He’s always been in love with you, Bells,” she said. “It’s obvious.”
“Oh my god, you are serious,” Bella said in disbelief. “You know it’s you he’s always been in love with. It's so painfully obvious.”
“What’re you talking about? He was always hanging around you when we were there, he even sought you out when you came to live with Charlie. Sounds to me like he’s always crushed on you.”
“Okay, first of all, the only reason he was always hanging around me was when you were around. He only used me as an excuse,” she retorted. “And when I came to live in Forks you were the first thing he asked me about. He’s been in love with you since we were kids, (Y/N). I honestly can’t believe you never noticed.”
“How could I if I really thought he liked you?” the girl cried as she covered her face in embarrassment. “Oh god, I’m an awful person. The only reason I went after Paul was because I thought I had no chance with Jake. Now I’m definitely never gonna have it.”
“Why not? You’re a great catch.”
“I’m a single pregnant teen that hasn’t even finished high school,” she told her sister. “Sure, great catch.”
“You’re also kind, you’re smart, you’re beautiful, and anyone would be lucky to have you by their side,” Bella said with a smile. “And if Jake can’t see that then he’s not the right guy for you. It’s not like he’s the poster child for perfection.”
“But why would he ever be with me when I tried to replace him with Paul? Jake knew he was a bad guy and that I chose to be with Paul over him.”
“Look, I don’t know how tomorrow’s gonna go, but I think it’s best if you do come with me.”
“Why? What could go wrong?”
“Just rest tonight and I promise everything will be answered tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she responded, still not understanding her sister’s reluctance to answer. “Well then, good night, Bells. I’m grateful you’re my sister.”
“I’m grateful too, (Y/N). Good night.”
“Night.”
The next day couldn’t come soon enough.
(Y/N) had spent the whole night tossing and turning in her bed. The daunting realization that she was growing a human being inside her weighing on her like a thousand bricks. She was set on her decision. She wanted to keep the baby and she would do it without Paul. But he wasn’t the boy that was running through her head anymore. Instead, she could not stop thinking about what Bella had told her. She was still hesitant to believe that Jake loved her. He’d never given her any indication that he did, at least not ones she had noticed.
“Ready to go?” Bella asked, breaking (Y/N) out of her trance. “Got the car all warmed up already.”
“Yeah, just a sec.” The youngest Swan gave herself a once over, trying to look perfect. No, trying to look strong. “I’m ready.”
The sisters talked and laughed like they hadn’t the whole time they had been reunited with each other. They had both led such different lives at that point that it felt like they had abandoned the other. But that wasn’t far from the truth. At the end of the day, they would always have each other’s back.
Bella parked her truck near the Black’s house, killing the engine before she turned toward her sister. “Look, I don’t know how to explain this, but you might hear some things that sound almost made up,” she said. “But they’re not. As crazy as it might sound, they are 100% true.”
“What the hell are you talking about, Bella?”
“I just –ugh—I don’t know how to tell you this without sounding like I’ve lost my mind,” she said, her eyes begging her sister for reassurance. “But, if you really wanna be in Jake’s world, it’s only fair that you know the truth. About him… and even about Paul.”
“Paul? What do you know about Paul?”
“Do you remember the stories Billy used to tell us when we were little?” Bella started, carefully picking her next words. “The stories about the reservation and their ancestors?”
“Vaguely.”
“You remember the stories about wolves and cold ones, right?”
“Yeah,” she chuckled. “But those were just legends and stories to explain the divide between lands. What about them?”
“They’re real, (Y/N),” Bella finally admitted. “Every single thing that they told us is real.”
“Come on, Bella,” the girl smiled, not too convinced by her sister’s words. “You’re telling me that you dated a vampire. And, what? That Paul and Jake are werewolves? That’s completely fantastical. Vampires and werewolves aren’t real. Next thing you’re gonna tell me that the tooth fairy and Santa Claus exist?”
“I’m serious, (Y/N),” she said firmly, her sister’s laughter dying as soon as she looked into Bella’s eyes. “I’ve seen it. It’s real”
“So, you’ve seen Jake turning into a wolf and seen your ex drink blood? What about that doesn’t sound made up?”
“Fine,” she resigned. “If you don’t believe me. Maybe you’ll believe Jake. Now, come on.”
(Y/N) followed Bella to the red cabin, her words swimming around in her mind. Talk about the supernatural had never been something her sister had been interested in, and there she was claiming that it was all real. It couldn’t be. It was just too much.
“We need to see him,” Bella said as soon as Billy opened the door.
His eyes ran from her to (Y/N), thinking over what his response would be. “He’s not in,” the man responded.
But Bella would not give in. She knew better. “Okay, I’m sorry,” she said before stepping aside and pulling (Y/N) with her. “But we really need to see him.”
“Girls!”
(Y/N) didn’t understand what was happening. She felt like she was stuck in a bad dream where no one was making any sense. When her sister opened Jake’s bedroom door and she saw him sleeping, the girl felt her heart squeeze once more in her chest. Ever since their encounter the night before, it hadn’t stopped doing that. It hadn’t stopped calling for him.
“He looks exhausted,” (Y/N) whispered.
“I think I know why,” her sister muttered, her gaze falling on the four figures that were walking up to Jake’s house. “Wait here.”
“What why?” the younger girl questioned before following her sister’s sightline. “Why is Paul here?”
If you still don’t believe me, you’ll believe me now.”
Bella marched out of the house, leaving her sister reeling with more and more questions.
“She told you,” Billy’s voice startled her. “You don’t believe her.”
His words seemed to want to be questions, but she could tell he was merely stating facts. “How can I, Billy?” she said. “We’re talking about the existence of supernatural creatures right in our backyard. Those things are stories you tell kids to feed their imagination. They can’t be real.”
“It is,” Jake’s voice joined. She turned to face him, any unease dissipating as she looked into his dark eyes. “I promise I’ll explain everything, but right now. I need to make sure your sister doesn’t get hurt.”
“What’re you…?”
Before she could finish talking, she heard her sister yelling outside. She followed Jacob out of the house, all in time to see Bella slapping Paul straight across the face. And everything that happened next seemed to muddle.
Where Paul stood in a split second was a silver-furred wolf baring its teeth toward her sister. Then, Jacob ran past her, jumping over Bella and transforming into a russet-colored wolf himself. The same wolf she had seen in her dream. The two animals fought each other, all teeth and claws, all snarls and growls. Even as it happened before her, it was still just as unbelievable.
Once the two wolves had disappeared into the tree line, did the older man of the group speak up. He told Jared and Embry –the two boys she had met that fateful day on the beach—to take her and Bella back to someone’s, named Emily, place. The duo quickly followed orders, jumping into the bed of Bella’s truck, never looking over to (Y/N).
The older Swan motioned for her sister to join them, telling her to get back in the car. But (Y/N) was still reeling. She still felt like she was trapped in a harrowing nightmare, waiting for the second she would wake up. All she could think of was the dream that had shaken her as she arrived in Forks. Because it hadn’t been a dream. It had been a premonition.
(Y/N) had yet to say a word, simply following the others to know what to do. Whatever they said or did, she wasn’t sure. The world around her had blurred and nothing made sense. At that moment, all she wanted was to know that Jacob was okay. The very fabric of what she knew reality to be had been changed and all she wanted to do was make sure that he was safe.
She didn’t even notice when she had entered the little house. Her gaze was far away, her mind completely disassociated from the situation. Emily, who she now knew was Sam’s fiancée and she couldn’t stare at, had offered her food or something to drink, but she couldn’t even respond. She simply shook her head and sunk into the background.
Everyone was speaking of werewolves and vampires like it was the most normal thing in the world, but it wasn’t, and (Y/N) knew that. And it seemed that Emily could tell that the girl was finding the information hard to digest.
“It gets easier,” she told her, breaking her out of her trance. “I know right now it might seem like nothing makes sense, but you get used to it.”
“I just saw two men rip their skin and turn into massive wolves,” (Y/N) finally spoke. “Don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.”
“I know how you’re feeling. When Sam told me for the first time, I was sure he had lost her mind,” she smiled. “Something tells me that once Jacob talks to you a lot of things will click into place.”
As Emily handed her a glass of water, Sam walked into the house, kissing her deeply. They were the definition of being in love. She couldn’t help but feel it when she saw them. It was what she had always dreamed of, and it was what she thought she had with Paul until the night before. It was what she had once wanted with Jacob too.
After Sam came Paul and Jacob. They were wearing matching scowls, walking as far from each other as possible. Paul entered the house, his eyes never landing on (Y/N)’s. Suddenly, the house went eerily quiet. Now knowing that they all shared thoughts, the girl knew that everyone was aware of what had happened between her and Paul.
(Y/N) felt like the walls were closing in on her and the looks of pity all the guys had given her finally made sense. She could barely breathe, and her heart hammered harshly in her chest. She needed to get out, she couldn’t be in the same space as him. Not right now. She tried to stumble out of the house, clutching at whatever she could to stabilize her body.
“Hey, (Y/N),” Bella tried to draw her attention, following her sister outside. “You’ve gotta breathe.”
But she couldn’t. Her lungs were aching, and her throat felt tight. Already, her vision was blurry with tears “I-I… I gotta…”
“Breathe, (Y/N). Breathe.”
“I can’t,” she struggled. “I-I… I can’t.”
Then, warm arms were wrapping around her, a hand running through her hair. “You’re okay, (Y/N),” Jake whispered. “I need you to breathe with me, okay?”
She nodded softly, her sobs choking her. Still, she followed the movement of Jacob’s chest, taking shaky breaths in and blowing them out seconds after. They could have been there forever and (Y/N) would have never known how much time had actually passed. But at some point, her breathing stabilized and she felt like her body was functioning properly.
“There you go,” Jacob smiled. “See? You’re okay.”
“I think I’m going crazy,” she chuckled dryly. “Nothing makes sense.”
“Let’s go for a walk, okay?” She nodded in response. “We’ll talk later, Bella.”
“Yeah, go ahead,” she said. “Make sure she’s okay. I have some words for someone else right now.”
Jake and (Y/N) walked side by side, neither daring to say the first word. The truth was, there was just too much unsaid between them and they had no idea where to start. There had already been so much change in a day that they didn’t know how much they could take.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N),” Jake finally spoke. “Firstly, for the way you found out about all of this. And secondly, for me running away last night. I’m sure you have a million questions.”
“I do,” she chuckled, staring down at the way the creek they were walking through rushed beneath her feet. “But I also want to apologize for not going to see you as soon as I got her. I actually tried… that’s when I met Paul.”
“You have nothing to apologize for, (Y/N). I didn’t seek you out either and I’ve been beating myself about it ever since,” he sighed. “I should have told you about Paul. I should have protected you from him, but I didn’t, and he broke your heart.”
“It’s not on you, Jake. It’s not on anyone but him. He knew what he was doing and that’s that,” she said. “But I don’t really want to talk about him. I want to know about everything else. You’re a werewolf.”
“Last time I checked, yeah,” he chuckled. “Only a few people in the tribe have the gene. It gets triggered when there are vampires in the area.”
“Bella’s ex and their family.”
“Yeah, and any that are passing by,” he confirmed. “Our job is to protect people from them. We keep it a secret because of the treaty our ancestors made with them decades ago. We can’t reveal their identity and we can’t reveal ours without revealing theirs. And people can’t fear what they don’t know of. ”
“Then, did they break the treaty by telling Bella?”
“They didn’t tell her about us, I kind of did,” he continued. “I was ordered to cut ties with her, but I couldn’t so I pointed her in the direction of the truth. She found out all by herself.”
“So, Bella knowing I understand. She already had knowledge of this whole world from that Edward guy,” (Y/N) started. “But why me? Why am I allowed to know all this? It can’t possibly be because she took me to your place. Billy would have stopped me from going outside but he didn’t.”
Jacob stopped in his tracks. That was the moment the truth needed to come out. He had to confess everything he’d ever felt for her and how the universe had decided to make it an unbreakable thing. All he hoped was that she didn’t push him away after.
“Being a shifter comes with more things than the ability to transform into a wolf,” he started, finally facing her. “You get superhuman strength and speed; you heal faster; you basically stop aging. And you gain the ability to imprint on someone.”
“Imprint?” (Y/N) questioned looking into his eyes for the first time since she had left the cabin. “What is that?”
“In the simplest of terms, it’s basically the moment you lay eyes on your soulmate,” he continued. His heart was beating faster, and he was sure his skin was flushing to a deep shade of red. “It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like gravity shifts all of a sudden. You’re not bound to the earth anymore, you’re bound to that person. You become whatever they need. A friend, a brother, a partner.
When I ran into you last night, when you almost ran me over with your car…”
“Sorry about that,” she chuckled. “That would have been horrible bad luck. To run you over with a car you fixed.”
“Eh, I would have healed,” he smiled. He was glad to see her lighter. Her laughter, the most beautiful music to his ears. “But when we looked into each other’s eyes I imprinted on you. That’s why I ran. That and the fact that I knew Paul had hurt you. I could feel your pain and your sadness, and as much as I wanted to comfort you, I needed to give him a piece of my mind.
But I should have stayed with you. I should have told you everything that I’m about to tell you now.
I love you, (Y/N). I’m in love with you and I have been since I even knew what love was. I have wanted to tell you since I gave you that whittled wolf I made, but I never had the courage to. And even if you don’t feel the same for me, I need you to know that, with or without the imprint bond, you have been and always will be it for me. My heart has been yours since the moment our dad’s brought us together and it will be yours until the day I die.”
Tears were now falling from (Y/N)’s eyes. She had waited for so long to hear those words and it made her heart swell as she finally did. But she feared he would take them back as soon as she told him the truth. Imprint bond or not, no teenager wanted to become a father, especially of someone else’s baby.
“You say that because you don’t know everything,” she sobbed, turning her back to him. “There’s another reason why I was crying last night that has nothing to do with Paul cheating.”
“(Y/N), nothing you say will change what I feel for you,” Jake said, running his hands over her arms. He tried to turn her back around, but she wouldn’t budge. “What is it, huh? Just tell me, (Y/N).”
“I’m pregnant, Jake,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “And I’m keeping it. And Paul has no idea. I went to tell him as soon as I found out and caught him with someone else. I don’t even know if he would care that the baby is his.”
“Is that all?” Jacob asked softly. “You think that’s enough to change my mind?”
“It would change anyone’s mind, Jake!” (Y/N) flipped around. Her eyes were red and streaming out tears faster than she could stop them. “We’re only sixteen. The last thing in our minds should ever be starting a family. We should be thinking about what college we’re going to or what countries we want to see, not about shitty diapers and feeding schedules.
What is happening is happening to me. I’m the one that’s pregnant and I can’t burden you with someone else’s child. I can’t do that to you. Why would you ever be okay with any of this?”
“Because it’s you,” he smiled. “And why do you think you or that baby could ever be a burden to me?” His hand cradled her cheeks, his thumbs wiping away the streaks that stained her skin. “I want everything that comes with being with you. The good, the bad, and the ugly. You’re all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). And I meant it when I said that there’s absolutely nothing you could do or say that would change that.”
“But I can’t do that to you,” she repeated, her voice breaking in pain. “I can’t do that to someone I love.”
Jacob’s mouth stretched into a wide smile, his eyes searching hers for any sign of deception, but it wasn’t there. All he saw was a girl in love that had been broken by someone else. “You love me?” he asked happily. “Is that what you said?”
“Of course, I love you, Jake,” she smiled softly, the tears still falling from her eyes. “I’ve loved you for so long it hurts. And that’s why it’ll hurt more to let you go.”
“(Y/N), I need you to listen to me and know in your heart that what I am telling you is the absolute truth,” he said lovingly but sternly. He needed her to believe him. He had lost her once and he would never do it again. “I want you. I want all that comes with being with you. I want to be there when you start showing; I want to be there when you go to the doctor; I wanna be there when that baby comes into this world, and I will be there every moment after. I will love that child as if it was mine because it’s part you –it’s already perfect.”
“You really mean that,” she smiled. Her hands were placed on his chest, her eyes gazing into the dark brown of his. “Why? Why do you care about me so much? I don’t deserve it.”
“You deserve the entire universe, (Y/N),” he beamed. “You deserve love and happiness, and I know I can give that to you.”
All the younger girl could do was smile as she stared up at him. If she had been dreaming, she did not want to wake up. Not now. Not after the nightmare was over. She needed to prove to herself that she was awake.
She stood on her tiptoes, stretching as far as she could while she pulled Jacob down by his shirt. She crashed her lips onto his and allowed herself to get lost in that moment. Everything around them stopped. The ocean had quieted, the wind had stopped blowing, and the sun had stopped beating on their skin. It was them and only them at that moment, surrounded only by their love and affection for each other.
“Thank you, Jake,” she smiled as they finally broke apart, their foreheads pressing against each other. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hear those words.”
“I think I have some idea,” he chuckled. “I have been waiting since we were kids to tell you.”
“Maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess if either of us had,” she teased. “But, honestly, I would have it any other way.”
“I love you, (Y/N),” he said before kissing her once more. “I love you today, tomorrow, and forever.”
“Well, I love you more. And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to show you just how much.”
As they walked back to the cabin, Jake’s arm draped over her shoulders, (Y/N) stopped in her tracks suddenly.
“What’s wrong?” Jake worried. “You feeling okay?”
“I haven’t thought of this, but what if Paul does want to be in this baby’s life? I mean, he has no idea that I’m pregnant.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he smiled. “If he does, he’ll have a lot to make up for. And I’ll make sure he is very apologetic for what he’s done.”
“You can’t just go around fighting him you know?” (Y/N) laughed.
“Don’t worry. He knows not to confront me with his fists –or paws—anymore.”

“I’m so glad you all could make it.” Y/n said opening the front door to see all her friends from Beacon Hills on her doorstep.
“Well you are part of our pack.” Stiles stated with a smile as they entered the home.
“Yeah, but I’m so far away.” Y/n added as she stepped aside letting them all enter the small Forks home.
“Your my beta, of course I’ll come visit you.” Scott smiled bringing Y/n into a hug.
“And your our friend.” Lydia smiled, pulling her into a hug after Scott.
“Your family now.” Derek stated he had a soft spot for the Swan girl. They had a lot in common.
“Well, I should warn you guys that there is another pack that lives in the area. On the Rez, but their not like us.” She explained as she shut the door.
“What’s that mean?” Scott asked with a furrowed expression.
“There more like shapeshifters. I have a back on them and there history.” Y/n told the pack.
“Great! So we can look it over during pizza.” Stiles clapped his hands together, ready for food.
“Pizza?” Derek questioned with a raised eyebrow. Did all he think about is food?
“Yup. Cause we are ordering pizza.” Stiles spoke as he turned with crossed arms to face the sourwolf, as he calls him.
“Y/n, who are all these people?” Charlie asked confused on why he came down the stairs to his living room full of teenagers and a adult.
“Dad, these are my friends from California.” Y/n smiled as she had told him they were coming to visit. But she didn’t blame him if he forgot. Work had been crazy for him.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Swan.” Lydia smiled
“Do you like to be called Mr.Swan or Sheriff Swan?” Scott asked as he reached out to shake the older man's hand.
“Either one’s fine.” Sharlie shook the hand of the young man. To Charlie the kid was just being polite but to Scott he was trying to make a good impression on his beta’s parent.
“That's right, you're a sheriff. My Father’s one to.” Stiles smiled at the comparison.
Charlie nodded awkwardly. “That's great. Well, I have an extra long shift tonight so don’t wait up. But don’t stay up to late either.”
Y/n nodded smiling. “Got it dad.”
“Bye Mr.Swan.” Scott and Stiles called out as Charlie left through the front door.

“I can smell them.” Paul stated as they ran through the forest.
“Me to.” Quil agreed
“We all can.” Jared said coming up behind them.
“Who are they?” Embry questioned as they watched the group of teens.
“That's what we need to find out.” Sam stated before the pack left back towards Emily’s to talk.
^     ^     ^
“Do you hear that?” Emmmet asked as the whole Cullen family and Bella stopped on their walk through the woods.
“Yeah.” Rosealie nodded in acknowledgement.
“Is that a wolf?” Bella asked as they all looked out in the distance.
“Its not part of the pack.” Jasper stated
“No, it’s smaller. But it seems off. Not animal like.” Carlisle agreed, stepping in front of his family.
“It smells different.” Rosaelie added.
When the wolf took off, the Cullens and Bella decided to follow the creature. From far enough away they stopped watching from a cliff nearby only to be very shocked.
“Oh my God.” Alice gasped, how did she not see that in a vision before?
“Isn’t that your sister?” Edward asked, looking at Bella in slight shock.
“Uh huh.” Bella nodded as she went to walk down the near by hill towards the clearing her sister was standing on as she just turned back into a human. She was very shocked and confused. The cullens followed also curious. “Y/n?”
Y/n turned around shocked to hear her sister's voice and see the Cullens behind her. “Bella. Everyone.”
“What- I don’t-” Bella shook her head in disbelief. How was hee sister able to turn into a wolf and how did she not know?
“I can explain.” Y/n said as she looked at all of them. Ready to explain.
^     ^     ^
“Your a werewolf?” Rosealie questioned a s Y/n sat across from her in the Swan residence. Cullens on one side and Y/n and the Beacon Hills pack on the other.
“Yes.” Y/n answered
“But not like Jacob?” Carlies asked, tilting his head in curtotisy.
“Very different.” Y/n nodded
“And this happened because he but you?” Emse looked on concerned about the girl that had become a good friend to her family.
“Yes. An he did it to save my life.” Y/n smiled softly towards Emse to show she was okay.
“You saved her life?” Alice turned her attention to Scott after Y/n’s statement.
“Uh, yeah.” Scott nodded sheepishly at all the yes on him.
“Thanks.” Bella nodded at Scott, gratefully for saving her sister.
“No problem. She’s my friend, practically family.” Scott smiled.
^     ^     ^
“Is that them?” Quil asked as the pack hung out at La push with Bella.
“It smells like it.” Jared nodded as they saw the group walk onto the beach.
“Is that who?” Bella asked confused on what they were talking about.
“With your sister.” Jacob pointed out.
Bella looked over. “Oh that's her pack.”
“Her what?” Paul looked over to Bella in shock.
“So she's a wolf?” Embry asked curiously.
“And you didn’t know this?” Sam asked, turning his attention to Paul.
“Yeah, Paul. She is your imprint.” Jacob smirked at the slightly older wolf.
“I was a little busy imprinting to notice.” Paul fired back defensively.
“Well, let’s go talk to her.” Sam stated as he, the pack, and Bella headed over to the Beacon Hills pack that had gone down by the water.
“Hey.” Y/n nodded to her sister as they approached her and her friends.
“Hey.” Bella nodded back.
Y/n looked around at the pack of shapeshifters, noticing their body language Y/n asked. “Okay, what's with the standoff?”
Paul decided to just come out with it. “You know we’re mates. Don’t you?”
Y/n nodded. “I felt it. Yes.”
“You didn’t mention your a wolf as well.” Jake pointed out.
“Different type but, it didn’t seem like the time to say anything about it. Not like you can just go around telling anyone or everyone.” Y/n explained and it seemed they understood.
“An this is your pack?” Sam asked, nodding towards the people behind her.
“I’m a part of it, yes. These are my friends. They are like my family.” y/n nodded glancing back at them as they all stood around behind her ready to protect her if necessary.
“Who's the alpha?” Jared asked curiously though he had a hunch between two of them who it could be.
“I am.” Scott stated stepping forward, next to Y/n.
“This is Scott.” Y/n introduced him as he stood beside her. “Scott Mccall. He’s a true Alpha.”

Next to me(Emmett Cullen)
Chapter one: oh the tragedies.
Table of contents

~2000
On the small screen of the small video camera showed two small children and their smiley dad running around with superhero capes and light-sabers. The children's squeaky laughter made the screen shake as the mother controlling the camera laughed. The camera moved to the left and showed a man that had similarities to the father. He was a bit scruffy and slowly growing a mustache. He smiled brightly as he held his only daughter who was a bit younger than her.
The small children are Owen and y/n Swan. They smiled for their family and it always felt like home when they stayed with their uncle Charlie Swan. One of Charlie’s best friends was the other father. Despite the divorces and children in Phoenix it was always happy…

--------( 2008, present day)--------
The little boy is now older. The 14 year old with curly hair and leather walked around the familiar house with the same camera from long ago. The house that used to be somewhere existing to visit now became too familiar and permanent. The boy Owen walked around and the only vision he had of what he saw was through the tiny video camera. He walked around like the Swan home was something to document or something important. In all honesty the home was important but it sadly became a strong reminder of what’s lost.
“And…we’re rolling,” Owen whispered as he pointed the camera at the cracked mirror. His reflection showed as he showed a slight smirk like he was proud of what he had become. It wasn’t something grand but you should be proud of him for being him. In the reflection you see his chocolate brown eyes shielded by his steampunk goggles he always wears around his neck; a silver Jason Voorhees mask necklace is also always there too. His torso was clothed by a faded forest green crewneck and a black and white flannel that had few rips and noticeable stitches. It was his fathers flannel.
Owen mumbled some commentary for his video as he shuffled down the creaking hallway as he would occasionally point the camera left or right to show a few family photos.
“Moring” Owen said using his best George Weasley impression as he pointed the camera in his sister's room. His sister, now 18, sighed as she looked up from her sketchbook and pulled off her headphones(Probably listening to Elvis Presley). She sighed at him but still held a smile for her little brother.
“What are you doing Owen?” she asked. Owen didn’t answer right away and turned the camera around so both siblings were in the shot. “We're here in the rainy town of Forks and today we are lucky enough to talk to one of the local residents, anything to declare?”
She looked up and smiled. “I hate you,” she joked. Owen smiled and held his thumb up. “Love ya too sis”
Owen paused the recording and looked up at y/n as she slipped an old Elvis ‘68 comeback hoodie she stole from her grandfather long ago. She dreaded the day as she looked out the window, it was pouring down rain and it looked like it wasn’t gonna stop anytime soon.
“You okay?” Owen asked as he studied all the posters and art that was plastered all along her new room. There were a few horror movie posters here and there along with a few Harry Potter and Elvis Presley art.
Owen had taken the move particularly well, a little too well. That's what everyone else sees, but on the inside he felt like he was being swallowed from the inside out. He wanted to move on and live and make sure y/n did the same. That's what their mom and dad would have wanted.
“I'm fine, you want some breakfast?” she asked, walking past her brother. She stopped in the entryway and softly smiled. “You can record it if you want”
Owen’s heart slightly shook at how much that sounded like mom. That would be a running thing she would often tell y/n as she would always carry around that same camera. She wanted to be a filmmaker and special effect artist. Her mother was her biggest supporter and as the support faded away Owen picked up the camera and tried to give her the support she lost.
y/n guilt silently consumed her and if you looked at her you would never know. She jogged down the stairs and went into the kitchen as Owen recorded. As the siblings made it into the kitchen Owen set the camera on the counter that pointed at the oven. “This is cooking with the swan’s part…I dont know”
y/n pulled out some eggs, bacon, and some frozen hash browns. The two continued to cook while also keeping their voices down as their uncle Charlie was probably still asleep.
“Oh good you guys are up” Charlie said suddenly as he entered the kitchen in his work uniform. “Hay, uncle charles, you hungry” Owen smiled as he gave him a plate of food.
“Thanks kid” he mumbled as he poured himself some coffee. He leaned against the counter and sighed as he looked between the two siblings.
“After work I'm gonna get Bella from the airport” the siblings both nodded. The silence broke again as he shared looks with the both of them. “I want you guys to start school with her”
Owen and y/n shared concerned looks. It's been about two months and Charlie has been extremely understanding but staying at the house for hours on in and having to mentally prepare themselves to get in the car wasn’t healthy for anyone. They both knew it. Charlie wanted them to get on with their lives and be normal teens. But normal isn't going through the loss they did..but being a shapeshifter wasn’t normal either, at least to outsiders it wasn’t.
“I want to say I'm proud of you both…you’ve been handling the changes quite well and i think it would be good for the both of you to start school fresh with bella” charlie said.
“Okay…but don't get all mushy on us now uncle Charlie” Owen jokes. y/n giggled and charlie’s mouth broke into a smile.
“You guys know what I mean.. And thank for all your help getting things ready for her to come, i really appreciated it”
“Sure” y/n smiled.
“Of course,” Owen added.
Charlie nodded and pulled them both into a hug. “I know its hard, I miss them too”
“And promise me that both of you will try” Charlie added, both of the siblings nodded with solemn expressions. Charlie then said his good-byes to the both of them and headed to work.
As the door latched shut Owen clapped his hands together. “So…whatcha want to do today? Go to the res? Watch movies? Commit a felony?” y/n laughed at the last suggestion as she walked into the living room.
“Harry Potter marathon?” she suggested. Owen sighed kinda disappointed about being cooped up yet another day but he didn’t plan on leaving his sister today.

Twilight Superlatives: Most Changed
This one was tough to come up with options for since like . . . no one really has a character arc outside of Bella and Edward really.
Lauren, from SM's NM FAQ: "Ha ha. I had fun imagining this one—I only wished that it had fit into the book somewhere. Lauren fell victim to the “model discovered in the mall” scam. An alleged modeling agent approached Lauren in a mall in Victoria, B.C., and told her she was a natural model. Lauren ate it up. The agent told her that if she did something edgy with her hair, and took some high quality head shots, her future was assured. Lauren followed the instructions—dropping fifteen grand on the pictures taken by the agent’s partner—and waited for her career to begin. She’s still waiting. Snort."

You and Charlie had discussed trying something new in the bedroom, wanting to spice it up a little, and you had asked for him to be rougher, more dominant. You noticed he had become hesitant, not talking about it after that, so when he pulled you into the bedroom, you could say you were shocked. “Uh… Undress for me, Darlin’.” You could see he was nervous, which made your heart squeeze, thinking he felt uncomfortable.
You crawl to the end of the bed and grab his hands. “Baby, we don’t have to do this if you feel uncomfortable. I love and trust you and am happy to do whatever you feel comfortable with.” You kneel up, placing a soft kiss on his lips.
“No, no. I want to do this. I just… I’ve never done this before and don’t want to disappoint you.” You nod, bringing his hands to your lips and kissing his knuckles.
You think of a way to try and trigger his more dominant side. You slowly let go of his hands and scoot back, lying back on the bed and spreading your legs. You expose your bare cunt to your man. “Why doesn’t Daddy have a taste?” You watch as something switches inside him, and his eyes darken more than they did from looking at your glistening cunt. You squeal as his hands wrap around your ankles and pull you to the end of the bed.
“Should I, huh? Should Daddy have a taste?” He growls, watching you gulp from his words. Charlie kneels, spreading your legs even more and leaning in. His tongue immediately begins to lap against your soaking cunt. Your fingers curl against the sheets, arching your back as he feasts on you. “Such a little slut for Daddy. Who made you this wet?” He begins to rub your swollen clit, flicking and pinching it, rolling it between his fingers.
“You did, Daddy!” You whimper, and your eyes roll to the back of your head as the pleasure intensifies. “Fuck, Charlie! Feels so good!” You scream as he slaps your cunt. You stare at him with wide eyes as you throb between your legs.
“It’s Daddy, you whore. Don’t you wanna be my good girl?” You nod, whimpering as you pout. Charlie buries himself back between your legs, lapping at your folds and swollen button, sucking on it as he watches you from below. You whine as he stops. “Such a good little slut. You better fucking cum, or I will punish you.” You whine, nodding, feeling your mind become fuzzy when he continues. His lips wrap around your clit, sucking and flicking it with his tongue while he inserts his fingers, thrusting roughly and fast, curling them upwards, causing your eyes to roll to the back of your head and your juices to squirt out of you, covering him. “Good girl.”
Your eyes flutter closed, and a soft moan escapes you when you feel his hardened member enter you. His hand wraps around your throat, and he begins to pound into you, grunting in your ear. “Fuck, darlin’. You always feel so fucking amazing around me. You’re my good girl and as my good girl. You’re going to take my cum aren’t you?” You whine, nodding and gripping onto him. “Made me nearly cum just by calling me Daddy.” He lifts your hips, thrusting harder and deeper into your warm cunt before he groans and empties himself. “Shit, so good.” Charlie slowly pulls out and begins to clean you, and then he crawls into bed, pulls you close to him, and kisses the side of your head. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you too, Charlie.”

looking for somebody- send me a gif of a character and I'll write a little baby blurb for it
LIPGLOSS | C.S.
word count: 0.9k
warnings: age gap, as always, reader who wears makeup?
summary: you always forget your stuff in charlie's car, but he doesn't mind all that much since it's a good excuse to get some extra kisses before you go
You made it halfway to the door when you realized your lips were uncharacteristically dry, the pause in your steps making Charlie frown from across the parking lot where he was watching and waiting for you to go inside. He wasn't all that fond of his current spot in the first place, he was too far from the door and he didn't like it at all, having to shift around slightly from where he leaned back against the car to see you and he raised a brow when you turned around and started marching right back towards him.
"What's wrong?" he was straight to the point when you were close enough to hear him, adjusting the tote back on your shoulder, regretting that extra book you forced in there now that your quick walk into work would be repeated more than once, Charlie noticed, not even thinking before taking it from you, looking into it with hidden judgment as he saw how much you had in there.
"Nothing's wrong," you smiled, scrunching your nose at his raised brow, gently forcing him to scoot up and away from the door so that you could open it, missing the little loving look of exasperation as he looked around the parking lot and then stole a glance at his watch, he didn't want you to be late. "Forgot my lipgloss," you explained from inside the car, knee digging into his seat as he tried and failed not to steal a glance at the sight in front of him, you looking into the little mirror to apply the sticky goo.
He was always intrigued by that little gesture, amused by the focused look on your face, the little pout to make the job easier, or even the little head movements to move closer and further from the mirror- it was the cutest thing in the world, he'd decided, though that changed daily with you.
"Take it with you," Charlie suggested, hand coming up to cover the frame of the door where you'd move your head through to make sure you didn't bump in. "I'm sure you can find room in here somewhere," you breathed a scoff at that, taking your bag from his hand and throwing the lipgloss right back into the little cup holder by the gearshift.
"I'll lose it if I take it with me," you explained to him and his hand found your waist before he could think about it, lips tilting just slightly, it was considered a smile by his standards. "At least here I'll know it's safe, got a whole policeman to protect it," he hummed, it was a lovely sound, one of your favourites, it forced you to steal a quick kiss from him, thumb instantly coming up to wipe away your gloss from his lips.
"I'm going to bring you lunch," you wanted to object, reminding him that you did in fact pack something to eat later, but then again, you knew it didn't count as lunch for him. "I'll stop by the diner, get you some pie, know you've been craving some," it was a sickeningly sweet offer, you'd mentioned you craving something sweet last night, he was getting ready for bed and you were sure he wasn't listening but then again, Charlie always pays attention when it's you.
"Will you get yourself a piece too? Stay here and eat with me?" he was considering it, didn't know if he'd have time with everything going on in town as of late, but he knew he couldn't say no to you, you knew too.
"I will," he was the one to steal a kiss, right on your forehead, gently guiding you away from the car, telling you it was time to go, and even if you didn't want to, you knew you should. "Have a good day, sweetheart."
"You too, bear, I'll see you later," you were walking backward, he absolutely hated it, instinctively moving forward with every step you took back, wanting to be able to catch you just in case. "Don't lose my lipgloss."
"Wouldn't dream of it."

Miss ma'am!! Idk how I'm just finding your blog but omggg you have the motherload of amazing FF's. THANK YOUUUU. It's hard to find sweet fluff and actual good angst. So thank you. please keep it up for forever.
Can i request a Paul Lahote x Swan Twin Sister Reader? I've had this in my head for forever but you can ignore it if you don't wanna do twilight. But i think you'd crush it!
Okay so reader is Bella's (fraternal) twin sissy. She moved to Forks with Bella and the whole first book happens WITHOUT her knowing what's going on. She's just as in the dark as Charlie is. However, after edward abandons her she gets to the bottom of it and is her sisters rock while she comes out of the depression hole she's in.
Okay so reader convinces Bella to go talk to Jacob after he too seemingly abandons the both of them (reader is good friends with Jake prior to the transformation instead of the Cullen's). Reader is too upset to confront him so she sits in the car. However, when reader notices Bella walking towards the Sam and his crew that's when she springs into action running behind her. She tries to stop Bella from slapping Paul but she does in her rage. However, instead of transforming reader calls out to Bella and locks eyes with him. Of course, reader is his imprint and it can be really sweet n fluffy after that. Like he falls the the ground, anger vanished and things just make sense to him. Obvi bella and reader are hella confused. Jake is super thankful bc he's obviously missed you.
Sorry this is so long but I think you'll crush it!!
First of all, thank you so much!!
Second of all, YASSSS you got it. My first twilight request!! I swear Twilight is what got me INTO reading. Sucked me in and I've never looked back. This series is what fanfics are made for hahah. You got it anon!!
(I also love really detailed requests, so no worries!)

ROUND 1A! MATCH 8 OUT OF 8
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda Under the Cut:
Scarlet:
Her big bad wolf is her mutant soldier boyfriend. She shot him once and honestly he was into it. Probably bi. Helped start a revolution.
Her wolf is actually. Um. A genetically modified soldier with wolf traits. At the beginning its not very obvious but by the end of the series yeah she's. She's a monsterfucker. Anyway that's not really relevant but I just think she's pretty cool (not because she's a monsterfucker)
She's a french farmgirl and a pilot who ends up in a plot to overthrow the queen of the moon. The big bad wolf is a genetically-altered soldier that she falls in love with. She's short-tempered, straightforward, and fiercely loyal.
"Grown up" Fairy Tales are a lot of fun. this one is also a cool mix of LRRH and BatB. She can totally take care of herself and her wolves are in for quite a story.
She’s a badass?
her family runs a restaurant and she’s friends with a furry
she's french. she's loud. she falls in love with the wolf (a guy named wolf who is genetically modified somehow). she sells tomatoes and gets in fights and just wants to find her grandmother. she is literally the little red riding hood character in a series of books retelling fairy tales in an alternate universe in space and I love her
she has a gun and she’s pretty cool. sorry she’s french if it helps it’s like 500 years in the future france. also she’s bisexual (TO ME!!! no straight woman thinks the things she thought about winter aka the character based on snow white)
Valerie:
The movie isn't some great cinematic piece, but I think this adaptation doesn't get enough credit. It came out near the peak of the Twilight vampire v Werewolf stage and the first attempts at live action retellings of fairytales (see Mirror Mirror). This girl's whole town and life are turned upside down by the murder of her sister by the Wolf. And when she goes to Grandma's there is extra tension because she isn't just going with the casual risk. No one knows who the wolf is, but every step leads Valerie to be suspicious of those closest to her most. It also doesn't help that Valerie understands the Wolf when it Speaks to her. Plus its got Sirius Black, Charlie Swan, and Sophie (Mamma Mia/Letters to Juliette) which is also So early 2010s.
Ngl I don't remember much about this but I just think that it would be funny if she won or even got far in the tournament when this book/movie was clearly made to cash in on the Twilight, Young Adult 2010s trend.

Hazbin Hotel Pilot (kinda)
Yeah, I'm either three years late or three months early, but I'm here now and I'm documenting this for the sake of posterity, because SOMETHING is going to come out in January and the internet deserves to laugh at it.
Tumblr media
Finally watched the pilot about a month ago. Loved it. Love the songs. Love Alastor because of fucking course I do. Love Angel Dust despite myself. Want to watch Charlie's story. Love it all. Am addicted to the fan songs. (One hell of a team and Radio Play are currently on repeat in my soul.) Hate fandom already. Miraculous Ladybug eat your goddamn heart out. No matter what happens, some part of the audience is going to hate it.
This post is actually more about why, than the pilot itself.
Before I get into it, I have to admit something. It's pertinent, I promise.
When Twilight was a thing, I heard all the hatred for it and believed it, but my sister was into it and I believe in giving everything a shot, so I read it too, expecting to hate it. And spoiler alert, by the final book, I LOATHED it. I literally had to stop myself from throwing that stupid thing across the room at least twice. But before that final book, I was so foolishly impressed.
Not by the writing, especially, but by what I thought it was doing. Because I looked at the characters and what I thought they were, and I thought that was so cool and subversive. An eternal teenager who was made a vampire against his will by a loving father figure. An immortal stuck in the body and emotions and hormones of a seventeen year old. And he falls in love for the first time. Could you IMAGINE anything worse? And a girl who swans (hah. Unintentional) into a new town and a new life, who also falls in love, but grows out of being seventeen. And there were these parallels! Romeo and Juliet! The fourteen year old trying to escape a life she didn't want, swept up in first love with an older lover! The idiot nineteen year old who's so desperate to Live His Life that he kills himself over a summer fling! THE PARALLELS, MY FRIENDS.
Yeah, I... I misinterpreted that one a little.
But this is the thing that we so often do with TV shows (and book trilogies....). We are watching and consuming something that is not complete, and in doing so we make assumptions and cling to things that may not actually be there. Edward was not an eternal seventeen year old, and Bella was not a normal girl growing into a young woman. It was a terrible, trashy, vaguely Mormon-propaganda teen romance that probably started as a Labyrinth fanfic, don't @ me.
(I love Labyrinth by the way, please don't come for my head)
Now, with Hazbin Hotel, and especially with Alastor, fandom is doing that in several different ways. Some of the fandom want him to be Evil Incarnate, here to corrupt the innocent and pure-hearted Charlie. Some of the fandom want him to be Bugs Bunny With Teeth. Some of the fandom (ie, I) want him to be Creepy Good and/or Do Evil Unto Evil (because that's what Louisiana Voodoo actually is, and it's so cool and I want to see a show do deals-with-the-other-side-for-good well andandand). Some people want him to be weak, some people want him to be super powerful, I would find it super interesting if he's super powerful because he's sold his soul to some greater power that's just using him to manipulate Hell... (today I was thinking about What If Lilith Is The Mastermind????)(also, ask me about my idea for a plot where he's actually a pawn to Heaven's worst)
No matter what happens with Alastor, some part of the fandom is going to be FURIOUS.
Now, for me, yes he's my favourite character from the Pilot, but the most important thing he does is provide a foil to Charlie, who is 100% the main character, and SHE is what's going to make or break the show for me.
Because the way I'm reading HER is that she's a preppy little private school girl that wants to save the whales and feed the children in Africa. She's taking gap years, she's doing voluntourism, she's holding charity balls for the homeless, she's taking cheesy photos in front of Homes She Built For The Kids and then gushing on Instagram about how she was hashtag blessed and got to feed the elephants.
The story I've read in this pilot, and the story I'm interested in, is that private school girl getting absolutely slapped down, so she can build back up into an actual good leader; stronger and better than her parents never even tried to be.
For me, the story I'm interested in, is all of the characters learning that redemption and goodness isn't some goal to achieve. It's a path. And sometimes, you find it only in the people around you. You shouldn't be good to get into Heaven, you should be good because you want to be good. Because you want to be there for your friends. It's about choice, and who you want to be. You make your own Heaven.
And to that end, I don't want Alastor to be the Evil Saboteur. I just want him to be her foil. Her equal and opposite, in every way that matters.
I want him to be evil only to those who deserve it, but be incapable of seeing himself as anything but worse still, even while everyone around him knows he's actually on the right team. The inverse of Charlie's arrogant light and hope.
I want him to push her, to challenge her, to be constantly watching and mocking and I want it to be a constant struggle between which of them is right or wrong about the sinners. I want them to represent the two sides of western religious ethics - the carrot and the stick. Be good so you're rewarded, or be good because torment awaits those who aren't. I want them to end up a platonic but perfect team, leading Hell's sinners out of this eternal struggle to survive and into afterlives they actually want to live.
But I don't know if that's what we're going to get. There are so many ways to read the second half of the pilot. Alastor rolling his eyes when Charlie tells him no voodoo, only to immediately offer a deal? The fact that Charlie, who effortlessly warps reality with her song, can't fix up the hotel or feed anyone, while Alastor, a supposedly mere human sinner, completely transforms everything with a few clicks of his fingers. The way Alastor treats Husk and Niffty - the way they respond to him! Niffty barely acknowledges this guy who we all assume owns her soul, and there are whole essays that could be written about how Husk responds to Alastor in general.
And outside the two of them, these characters are all so good! Angel Dust. I am not invested in his story (we've seen it before), but I ADORE him. A character that's so comfortable in his masculinity, and still considers himself a man, even as he wears women's clothing and works in a feminine industry and suffers a traditionally feminine tragedy. And he's so deadpan and snarky and horrible and I LOVE HIM. I'm not invested in his story, but I WANT TO WATCH IT.
Sir Pentious. What the hell is up with him? I must know more. I must cringe and groan and see him fail and then get back up to fail again.
Vaggie. What is she doing in Hell? HOW DID SHE DIE? How did she hook up with the king's daughter? Why is she signed onto this endeavour that she clearly doesn't really believe in?
I NEED IT.
So yeah. I will probably be disappointed, but god damn am I looking forward to this thing.

Love Song for a Vampire Pt.17
Tumblr media
Pairing(s): Edward Cullen x Wolf!Reader, Edward Cullen x Bella Swan, Jacob Black x Bella Swan, Slight!Embry Call x Reader
Warnings: none
Words: 4441
Summary: The treaty is revised and you get some alone time with Edward.
Part 1    Part 2    Part 3    Part 4  Part 5  Part 6  Part 7  Part 8  Part 9  Part 10  Part 11  Part 12  Part 13  Part 14  Part 15  Part 16  Part 18  Part 19  Part 20  Part 21  Part 22  Part 23  Part 24  Part 25  Part 26  Part 27  Part 28  Part 29  Part 30  Part 31  Part 32  Part 33  Part 34  Part 35  Part 36  Part 37  Part 38  Part 39
You felt like a sardine, packed shoulder to shoulder to near suffocation as you watch the Cullens stand timidly near the front door. There was no space of air where the scent of vampire didn't taint it. Admittedly, you had actually grown accustomed to their scent; the intense sweetness that clung to their essence had subdued over all the exposure you had to them. To the others though, it must have been harshly overwhelming.
"Dr. Carlisle, thank you for coming." Sam makes his way to Carlisle, bumping into several people in the process. Surprisingly he holds his large hand out to him.
Without hesitation, Carlisle grasps his hand in return. "No, thank you for inviting us."
Eryld huffs, cheeks blown out like a fish as he shakes his head. "You should have asked us first, Sam, before you invited them on to our land."
"You would have said no." Sam throws out in a monotonous tone as he crosses his arms in front of his chest. Dark eyes challenged the surly elder who shrunk back in his seat with a grumble. "Things need to change around here. We need a united force and to reform our treaty. So nothing like what happened with Bella and Victoria happen again. There's been too much death to the innocent people of not just Forks, but Port Angeles as well. And wherever else Victoria found victims."
Everyone had gotten incredibly lucky this time around. No casualties from either side and Bella was relatively safe except maybe developing pneumonia from having t suffer the icy cold mountain winds.
"It's true. We could have caught Victoria faster if the treaty to our border was revised." Carlisle says gently as to not ruffle any feathers. Most of your pack, having fought alongside them in an odd comradery, had changed their minds about the Cullens. Maybe, just maybe they weren't that bad. The younger members were especially quick to realize that not all vampires were complete monsters. Being a stickler for traditions, Eryld's sallow face came alive and for some reason his eyes dart over to you. Whatever he had been thinking while scowling at you must not have been positive as it made Edward cock his head in his direction. Jaw ticked in irritation.
The elders, the revered authority on the reservation, were divided on this topic; always had been. Billy and Glenn were easy going, but neither wanted to step on the toes of their elder. Having more years of the trio, Eryld was more well respected for that fact. Even if you did find the ancient old man insufferable. He would be the hardest to convince.
"The world is changing out there. We need to follow suit and accommodate." Sam explains patiently. "And whether any of us like it or not, (y/n) has imprinted on Edward. An obvious sign that we simply can't go back to normal."
"Or a fluke." Eryld grumbled. Back in his day there had been no female members of the wolf pack. It wasn't natural and you and Leah defied that norm.
Leah shot him a dirty look back but kept her mouth shut, an incredible feat for her. The Cullens look at one another uncomfortably at the mention of Edward basically being your soulmate. It was news to Charlie who lost his stoic composure and switched his face from you to Edward.
"Imprinted? What does that mean?" He asks brusquely, no one having the heart to tell him that his daughter's boyfriend was intended for someone else.
Expectantly, hopeful eyes turn to Billy to explain since he was close to Charlie once upon a time. He should be the one to break the news.
"It's a thing members of the pack go through. Think of it as love at first sight. When wolves imprint on someone, that means they have found their perfect partner. Their soulmate."
You ignore the terrible blush that lit across your face. Yes you had heard it plenty before, but the Cullens were right there to hear every word of it; to truly understand the nature of imprinting. An uncontrollable entity that held no  rhyme or reason.
Doing your best to avoid eye contact with anyone in Sam's living room, you look down at your worn out sneakers; suddenly very interested in your double knotted shoelaces at the moment.
Charlie's voice trembled as he spoke to Edward. "What about Bella?:
What about Bella indeed. You doubt anyone knew what would happen to their relationship after this. Not even Alice with her ability to look into the future could predict Bella and Edward's fat together. At least not on command.
The question made everyone go silent, even Eryld shifted in his seat uncomfortably. Charlie knew that Edward and his family weren't human. Hadn't been for decades and for certain members even centuries. Bella had been so smitten with Edward yet now Charlie faced the concern if their relationship continued on. Would his only child be turned into one of them? Doomed to live far longer than any human could.
"I still love your daughter. . ." Edward admits, clearly avoiding where you helplessly stood in the room. "She helped em to start really living again. But imprinting can't be ignored. And. . . I've put Bella in so much danger because of what I am. Maybe. . . Maybe it was right of her to give back the ring I proposed to her with."
Charliewould put a pin in the fact that Edward had even proposed to her without asking for his blessing. Instead he ran a hand over his weary lined face. This was simply too much for him to comprehend all at once. One issue at a time. That's how you learned to keep your head above water. You knew how overwhelming all of this was. Even when you first became a part of the pack it was a lot to even hear at the time.
Finally, old Eryld mutters "Alright. Well, lets begin on the negotiations. What, you thought I was just going to allow the Cold Ones on our land any time they pleases? No. There still need to be restrictions.
Sam and Carlisle nodded their heads. "Fair enough."
The next hour is used for back and forth deals, a few quips from each side. While you and Edward remain silent your eyes, however, held onto the other. You wished he could hear your storm of thoughts and vice versa.
***
It was a relief to everyone in the cramped quarters when an agreement had been reached and sealed away. You wanted to go home and get the sleep you rightly deserved. Celebrations could wait, your drooping eyelids could not.
The Cullens would be allowed on La Push territory only if they were invited an accompanied by a member of Sam's pack. Everything had to go through your alpha first and foremost. They were still not allowed to hunt on the land, but the Cullens didn't mind so much. They preferred to take their hunting out of state most of the time. Having conditions as well, the Cullens desired that if there were any other vampires that were to cross upon their watch be reported to them immediately. As to better work together on how to determine their fate.
Still not looking overly happy about the whole thing, the elders left, Charlie accompanying Sue and Billy back to the Black residence.
With this turn of events, the rest of the pack disbanded slowly; casting wary looks at the Cullens who still lingered in Sams' driveway although Rosalie appeared to want to be anywhere else. Younger wolves stare with appreciation at their expensive cars. Even as Emmett, now growing comfortable around Paul and Jared, joked and pushed each other around playfully. Everything seemed to be working out so quickly.
"You heading home?" Embry's abrupt question startles you out of your thoughts. Jacob and Quil wait idly behind him. "Jake's gonna go visit Bella, but Quil and I can walk you back home."
About to say your reply, you catch Edward walking up to your group. At first there's a stare down between Edward and Jacob, before Jacob cordially nods to his rival and tells the rest of you that he'll catch up later.
Funny how Edward always appeared stiff and awkward when he was about to talk to you. Like he had no idea how to start.
"Thanks Embry, but I think I'm gonna stick around for a little bit longer." You smile at him, immediately seeing his disappointment at you turning down his offer.
Quil puts Embry on the shoulder and moves him along.
"You looked like you wanted to talk to me." After having actually had an in depth conversation with him, your timidness had dissipated around him. You had to admit thought that your heart would never stop flutter around him.
His slow grin pulled at strings in your stomach. "If you don't mind. You looked exhausted." To have a little bit more time with Edward, you'd sacrifice your dearly needed sleep.
Finding a more secluded place in the woods behind Sam's, you and Edward take in the lovely afternoon. Not taking you long to realize with the threat of Victoria gone, you would no longer have an excuse to be near him. Whatever he had to say to you, whether good or bad, you would happily absorb it all. Possibly this would be the last time you would probably be with him. Edward would go back to his Bella, the girl he had fought an entire vampire army to save. She was lucky to be so loved by him.
Stray rays from the sun bathed Edward in a warm glow, specks like an opal appear across his skin in the millions. Enjoying the touch of the sun on your arms and legs, you close your eyes and ask "How is Bella doing?" Edward shuffles next to you, uncomfortable by your seemingly polite question. "Good. Really good. Carlisle took her off the IV and says she can probably go home today. She's ordered on complete bed rest though for a few days. . ."
Something was off with his stiff words. He wasn't telling you what he really wanted to say. "That's great. . . Is. . . Is everything okay with the two of you?"
His head droops, making you instantly regret your question and purse your lips tightly together. "She's not going to take me back. She wants to end it before she's hurt anymore. I can't even stop her. It's for the best honestly. But. . ." Anxiously, he runs a hand through his tussled bronze hair. Sweet citrine eyes you were normally accustomed to had darkened to near pitch black. "Remember how I had your pack leave once everything was taken care of?"
Hesitantly you nod.
"Your pack was instructed to leave because. . . because more vampires were coming. But these aren't vampires like Victoria and her brood. These vampires have been alive for centuries, bringing order among the vampire community of the world." For the first time, Edward appeared weary and you could make out the bruise like shadows under his eyes. How terrible to be a creature who couldn't enjoy the temporary oblivion that sleep offered.
"And if Bella doesn't want to be with you anymore. . ." Would she still become a vampire? "If she doesn't become a vampire on the day that Carlisle promised. . . what will they do?"
He shakes his head indicating that nothing good would prosper from Bella remaining mortal. "I never wanted Bella to turn into a vampire to begin with. I wanted her to cherish her mortality."
So the fighting wasn't over. If Bella didn't become a vampire, then these Volturi members would come to Forks. This should have been revealed during the meeting. Yet your chest thumped thinking that Edward had confided in you first.
"Either become a vampire or die." You murmur to yourself, those were her options. "What can we do? Does she still want to be a vampire even if she doesn't want to be with you?"
His shoulders sag forward. "I don't know. She doesn't have much of a choice now."
Bravely you place your hand on top of his, making his eyes flick up to you. "We'll figure this out." You tell him confidently. "Now that my pack and your family are finally on the same page, we can figure this out easily. No matter what, we'll protect Bella."
You watched his heart break through his eyes and you couldn't explain why his features contorted into one of sorrow. What you said should have made him happy and take off the stress that was clearly eating him from the inside. "I don't understand. Even now when your pack obligation is over, why do you still want to help us? Shouldn't you be happy that she doesn't want me?"
"Of course not!" you can't help but leap to your feet and frown at him. "I know you don't know me that well, but do you really think so little of me?"
"No! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it to come out like that." He puts his hands up on a helpless plea.
You take a deep breath. "She makes you happy, Edward. And I want nothing more than for you to be happy." You close your eyes, embarrassed beyond compare as you whisper "I've accepted a long time ago that you won't love me. Don't get me wrong! I'm not trying to make you feel bad. I. . . I would still very much like to remain in your life though. If you and Bella ever need a level headed wolf, I'm here for the both of you. God this sounds so mushy, but I have an urge to protect your happiness. Even if that means I have to watch you and Bella together. I want to see you happy, Edward"
A shaky breath streams past his lips that makes you hastily shift your focus to the swaying of the tree branches above you. The sound of rustling leaves was so soothing to you. Instantly you were regretting saying anything.
***
 "You make me happy."
That's what popped into his head in mere seconds after (y/n) stopped speaking.
During this whole arduous trial, (y/n) had been the only one who even managed to muster a smile out of Edward. Her easy going and honest nature relaxed him. He wanted to make her happy too. Grudgingly, his mind reminded him of Bella who lay still recuperating in his bedroom. Loving her had proved to be tiresome, but his life was so interwoven with Bella that he couldn't comprehend an existence without her. She was his singer, the love of his life. Being around the wolf girl though. . . he was able to relax his muscles and not forced to be constantly on guard. (y/n) had shown him early on that she was powerful and able to protect herself. Able to protect Edward too. They had fought with complete trust in the other, backs pressed against one another as they fended off Victoria's newborns. Neither feared getting hurt because they knew the other had their back. Something he couldn't say about Bella. True she had gone all the way to Italy to stop him from essentially committing suicide, but there was little Bella could do when faced against the three Volturi leaders. She might be mentally immune to their powers, but physically she was utterly vulnerable. Weak and flimsy as a sheet of paper.
Even in (y/n)'s human form, she looked strong and dependable. More so when her wolf broke free. Her shockingly large wolf was one to regard with awe and fear. If Edward were to touch her. . . she wouldn't break under him. Bella aimed to fix that by being turned into a vampire, but Edward had always been opposed to the idea. When she agreed to marry him, he was forced to truly consider it. Edward still wasn't excited about the prospect of killing the human inside of Bella just to turn her into a cruel creature like he was.
He had been ashamed about his daydreaming as of recently. Instead of Bella filling the role of his mate, it was (y/n). Running through the forest together, (y/n) playfully pouncing on him and the both wrestling to the ground in carefree bliss. While he didn't love her as fiercely as he loved Bella, not now at least, Edward could envision a sustainable life with the wolf girl. As unconventional as it may be to the outside world.
This wasn't fair. Not to anyone and especially not to the young maidens who had to suffer: (y/n) and Bella. Neither was at fault and Edward commended both girls for not acting out of spite or malice toward the other. Even though they hadn't spoken to one another directly, there was an unspoken bond that had developed. They as much as anyone else were fate's playthings.
Hastily, (y/n) jumps to her feet. "I'm sorry. Please forget what I said." Edward could hear the frantic pumping of her blood flooding her cheeks as she said good bye to him. Desperately in that moment, Edward wanted to beg her to stay. It wasn't his place though. Frozen in his seat, Edward watches her leave; longing thumping inside of him.
***
The breeze from the ocean was a welcoming caress to your still flushed face as you sat on the cliff that looked out across the waters that made up La Push beach. Many times you and your pack had jumped off this very cliff into the freezing water below; careful to steer clear of the jagged rocks underneath. Not that it would do any of you serious harm, but it would still be painful if you were to make contact. The final act once you joined the pack was to take the plunge. Everyone had done it, even sour Leah.
You should have run back home, enjoy the rest of your day with your parents and relaxing. Instead you sought shelter at the beach. Shelter and silence. Around you may have been quiet except for the crashing of the waves, but inside your mind was a hive of angry hornets. Why did you have to go and embarrass yourself like that? Reveal your heart so shamelessly to someone who was already spoken for. You couldn't help it. Being alone with him for the first time that wasn't a life or death situation had made your tongue loose.
Wanting to cry from your folly, you hide your face in your hands. Edward would make sure to put distance between the two of you now. You might never see him again if that was the case. Trying to convince yourself that that was okay, your heart broke on its own accord from the thought of never seeing him again. How could you go on?
Registering someone behind you, you turn around to find Sam standing there with a sympathetic expression on his face. "Mind if I join you?"
You nod, hands already rubbing away the stream of tears. Sam pretends not to notice your sniffling as you attempt to compose yourself for your pack alpha. Never before had you really been close to Sam. He was older and already off to college by the time you hit your preteens. Since imprinting on Edward though. . . you wanted to admit that your relationship with him had strengthened. Not only did you revere him as the alpha, but now you cared for him like an older brother. An older brother you never had yet always yearned for. You were envious of Jacob, Leah and even Edward. They had siblings that they grew up with. You suppose the rest of your packmates could be considered your siblings now. After all, you knew them better as well thanks to the pack telepathy.
Fiddling with your fingers, you break the silence by saying "The fighting isn't over."
"I know." His voice was monotone, unsure of what the future had in store for the people of Forks and La Push. If Bella didn't turn. . . You might need to fight another battle, one more deadly than the encounter with the newborns. The vampires of the Volturi were ancient and had been winning wars for centuries. Your pack had been lucky that Victoria's newborns weren't disciplined and that they were so concentrated on feeding that they were easy to overcome.
Sam's hand on your shoulder startles you for a moment before your shoulders sag in a relaxed fashion once more. "Try not to worry about it. At least for now. All we can do is take things one day at a time. Sorry I can't offer you more assurance. That's what an alpha is supposed to do yet. . . I failed."
"You didn't fail. I think you've been dealing with the Cullen situation quite well. We all forget that you're pretty young too, Sam. This must be hard on you."
A small laugh passes through him. His life must have been easier before wolves and vampires entered in. He had been happy and in love with Leah. . .
Sam lifts his dark eyes to your cheek, the one that had freshly healed scars. You notice a tremor in his jaw at the memory of the incident and the tightening of his hands into fists. Was he plagued by nightmares too? You had a lot of trouble sleeping since your encounter with Xiomara. Whatever creature she was, it was something you never wanted to see again. For vampires and werewolves to exist was one thing, something as twisted and horrendous as Xiomara? It convinced you that there certainly was an existence of demons and devils. That didn't sit right with you.
“Sam, do you ever think about-“
“That night? Yeah. . .” The weariness in his voice reveals to you that he was going through the same sleepless nights you were suffering. He runs a hand over his face. “Emily has had to wake me up a few times.”
“I’m really sorry that I dragged you there. I put us in danger.”
You feel him gently shove your upper arm. “Shut up. No one could have known what was going to happen. Isn’t that what the future is all about? Not even Alice Cullen can predict the future when it comes to us. Our lives have just become that crazy.”
No kidding. You think to yourself and smile. Certainly your concept of what was real and what you had previously believed to be just stories was flipped upside down. Anything and everything could be real. Had the possibility to possess a corporeal figure in your earthly realm.
Curiously, Sam peeks act you from under his lashes and grins. “So. . . You and Edward. . .”
Immediately you groan and hide your face once again in the calm burrow of your palms. “Can you not. . .”
”Everyone knows the way you two walked away into the woods. Together. . .” He continues, a teasing hum to his voice.
”Ugh, I don’t want to be reminded off what an idiot I am. I-I said the most embarrassing things. And I just couldn’t stop myself!”
Sam bursts into laughter. “Yeah, I know how that is. That’s what happened when I imprinted on Emily.”
“Will. . . Will I ever be able to stop embarrassing myself in front of him? “
”Unfortunately not.” His confession makes you shake your head. “But even though you feel embarrassed, I guarantee he wasn’t immediately weirded out by what you said.”
No, he wouldn’t possibly feel anything else but horror from all those syrupy words tumbling out of your mouth. “Don’t tell me you can read his mind now too??”
“I’ve seen the new way he looks at you. That timid was when he walks toward you. Love isn’t simple. Especially for beings like us. I don’t doubt he still loves Bella. But there’s a warmth now when he looks at you. Oh come on, don’t look at me like that! It’s true. You’re too young to notice the subtle signs.” He pushes your face away once you scrunch up your features into one of disgust.
”Regardless,” you notice dirt under your nails, a great excuse to keep your focus on anything except for Sam’s face. “I just want him to be happy. If that means accepting that he’s still in love with Bella, so be it.”
That was something that hit close to home with Sam. While it worked out with him and Emily, he wasn’t as lucky to say that about Leah. That didn’t mean he didn’t want her to be happy, on the contrary, Sam still loved Leah. Just not in the romantic manner anyway. Everyone knew it. Leah though. . . You didn’t ‘t know if anything would cure her bitterness. The passing of time perhaps.
Finally to lighten the mood, Sam happily remembers something from your childhood. “Weren’t you the one to shove snow down Quil’s pants when both of you were eight?”
Your abrupt cackle shocked even you as the memory comes to life in your mind’s eye. “Oh Yeah!!”
Both of you roll slightly back as you join each other in a laugh. Poor Quil! You couldn’t even remember why you had done such a thing. when your cackling had subsided, you remember the time you and Embry had put eggs in Jared’s shoes. Another round of loud howling ensued. You didn’t remember yourself being such a little shit!
Maybe you had had your long desired siblings all along among those who lived on the reservation with you. Becoming wolves just further stamped that bond. There was a difference though, you weren’t those barefoot kids anymore. Running around in the woods and beaches, no fear of the unknown. Unaware that real monsters from the horror movies you watched late at night were real. That childhood was far behind you now. You hated to say something so negative but becoming a wolf had killed the child in you. The transformation itself had been a sweating hell that you were forced to suffer through.
That makes your laughter die down, as you become morose. The almost lazy push and pull of the tides draw your attention, reminding you of how exhausted you were.
”Come on, kid. I’ll walk you home.”
“Nah, you don’t have to.”
”I know.” Without protesting, Sam helps you up and he throws an arm around you.
