I literally cannot make this shit up. Sophia Di Martino has obliterated the 'canon' ship. It has sank deeper than the titanic I'm afraid.
She called it "weird", "same person". The kiss was not romantic, meaning she just wanted to "go through with her plan" of killing He Who Remains.
"It's been fun, dude...so see ya" LMAOOO
I would be so embarrassed if Tom said that about Mobius💀

Everyone listen up! Owen Dennis is deleting the Infinity Train crew blog (infinitytraincrew) because of Tumblr selling people's art to AI datasets.
Tumblr media
I want to preserve the art, so I'll be reblogging the posts from that account. REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THIRD-PARTY SHARING IN YOUR BLOG SETTINGS! Also, here's Glaze, which protects your art from AI.
Update: turns out that Glaze does not actually work. please reblog this version instead!

Let's talk about this meme
Tumblr media
Obviously it's highlighting both extremes of emotional reactions. Rey and Finn as the melodramatic end and Luke as the "dull" end.
But I really hate the latter. I often see discussion on how Luke doesn't have a strong reaction to the murder of Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen.
I severely disagree. I have always found this scene to be heartwrenching because Luke is in so much shock and grief, he is unable to fully process his loss because of how horrific and sudden it was.
That expression above kills me every time because that is the face of innocence stolen. This is when Luke realizes what the Empire truly is which is why instead of taking the space to grieve, he immediately wants to avenge his aunt and uncle by becoming a Jedi and joining the Rebellion.
Luke may be a softy and his anger may not be obvious like it was in Anakin but nonetheless, when he tells Obi Wan he wants to become a Jedi, he has fury inside him. No matter how softly he says it.
(I imagine that's why Yoda was concerned in ep 5, while anger can be productive when processed, it can become all consuming when left untended)
On a personal note, I've always related to Luke's way of showing the negative spectrum of emotions. They may be subdued but it doesn't mean the pain, sadness, anger, etc. are any less and it's always made me feel seen. Which is why I will never accept Luke slander saying that he's unemotional and out of touch.

before season 2 aired i thought we would never get our original Mobius back. I thought they were going to shove Sylki down our throats. i thought i was going to have to slough through a poorly written, unbearable season of tv just to get little crumbs of Loki and Mobius interacting.
but this. this far surpassed anything i could have hoped for. even if this story hadn’t been Loki’s i would have devoured it. it was clever and well thought out. it was well written with amazing sets and lighting and music. it played up strengths from season 1 that i thought for sure they had long abandoned. like the incredible and compelling setting that is the TVA. and making the cast an ensemble with the already stellar cast they had (and adding the instantly lovable O.B.). Tom was excellent. Owen was phenomenal. and every scene we got with them together was a gift.
the story was crafted with care and forethought and amazing attention to detail. you can’t say that about most big budget studio stories these days. i’m so in awe of everything this season was. it far surpassed season 1 for me and honored the legacy of Loki in a way i never could have dreamed. i honestly think it will go down as one of the most epic seasons of tv ever, for me.
it may have ended bittersweet, but it really didn’t feel like the end of Loki and Mobius’s story to me. it definitely feels like there’s more to tell. and i can’t wait.

Reminder that making Loki and Sylvie romantic was not a huge mistake. It was very smart and very in-character.
Not because they love themselves. That’s just a very clever writer’s play on the Loki-Trope-words.
Because she’s the most not-him person that there is. He wants to be the center of attention. She wants to live a quiet life left alone. He wants to take thrones and rule. She wants to topple thrones and rulers. He wants to tyrannize and enslave. She wants to set whole realities free. He sets traps to defeat his most hated foes. She just runs up and stabs them. He never shuts up. She’s stoic and quiet.
Tumblr media
To people who believe it’s weird or gross because “they share DNA” or “they’re siblings…” Yeah. They share the same DNA, clearly—just like the Alligator Loki! 🙄 And they share parents, clearly—oh, except they don’t, because Loki’s parents were the kind of people to hide his true origins from him, and Sylvie’s parents were as different from that as you can get. They don’t share DNA, they aren’t the same gender, they don’t share memories or a similar history, and they don’t even share a name. They’re not like the same person, and they’re not like siblings.
The places where they’re similar? Like Sylvie’s chip on her shoulder against those who’ve wronged her? They’re all the places Loki has grown out of, or is in the process of growing out of when he meets Sylvie—and she’s been hellbent on avenging herself against those who’ve wronged her for her whole life.
He’s in love with her because of the—say it with me—“Idea of Potential” that she represents.
It’s just like how Ariel is in love with Eric, even before she gets to know him, because all she needs to know is that his character traits match up with everything she’s always hoped humans could be like. All Loki needs to know about Sylvie is that her character traits match up with everything he’s always wished he could be:
Confident instead of pretending to be confident; heroic instead of pretending to be heroic; secure in who he is regardless of what people think of him; able to focus on something bigger than himself; etc. Loki’s never been able to be those things and even convinced himself he’s proud of pretending—but Sylvie genuinely is all those things.
Tumblr media
And Sylvie? Since she was stolen from her home and family she has made no connections, had nobody care about her, and focused only on her mission. If she ever had dreams outside of that, it probably revolved around the idea of freedom. Then in comes this guy who not only expresses care for her, but is the type of guy who doesn’t let anybody tell him what he is or what to do—he can relate to her feelings of hurt, and eventually, tries to help her grow beyond them, too.
They both represent something that the other person has always wanted to do or be, and they both challenge each other, and they both have this big existential hole in their hearts of “nobody wants me or likes me” to relate to each other with.
How is this a mistake? It’s literally the smartest way they’ve ever had Loki make a connection with someone outside his adopted family. (Mobius is cool and all but he’s a Thor-stand-in for this Loki, who’s been ripped out of Thor’s timeline.)
I’m going to stop beating the dead horse, but basically, if you think Loki and Sylvie as a romantic couple is weird, try and look at it the way it actually is, instead of superimposing “female love interest bad” or catchy Internet memes like “Loki Show Approves Incest” over everything 🙄

One thing that gets on my nerves in the Star Wars fandom is when people criticize or even vilinize Owen lars for being kind of a little harsh on luke. Like what the fuck did you guys expect??? They live on a barren desert planet that has slavery and a bunch of other bullshit that’s constantly trying to kill you.
For all we know this is what responsible parenting looks like on Tatooine. Like damn sorry owen put a fucking curfew for luke so he doesn’t get snatched by some fucking slaver in the middle of the night.
I also don’t love when people imply that Owen and beru never made an lasting impact on Luke’s life or that anakin is the de facto the most important/valid parental figure luke has, like did we forget that he permanently disables his son and killed his friends and family???
In the Star Wars radio show when biggs tries to talk luke about leaving the moisture farm, Luke angrily replies that he would never leave his aunt and uncle. He says that to his BEST FRIEND. Luke skywalker, the guy who’s biggest wish is to get out of Tatooine tells his best and only friend to fuck off at the implication that he would be better off just ditching his adoptive parents.
When we watch the scene of luke looking at the burnt wreck of the moisture farm, you can literally see shock and dismay plain on his face. Yes, he doesn’t tear up or sob or anything like that, but then again neither does leia when Alderaan gets blown up, and we would never accuse her of not loving her parents or her planet.
And also what could Owen being abusive possibly add to Star Wars?? Does it explain any of Luke’s actions or characteristics?? Does it add a layer of depth on themes of fatherhood in the story ?? The only thing people ever seem to come up with is that owens “abuse” is what makes luke yearn for a connection with Anakin. There a number of explanations for this, one it could be a force thing, (I mean luke doesn’t seem as curious about his mother, could be that he can sense his father is alive), and two luke could just be curious because he has a sense of wanderlust and the stories about his dad who won his way out of slavery might be cooler than farming moisture.
I for one, believe that Owen and berus loss is one of the most devastating things from a new hope. It’s Luke’s first introduction to one of Star Wars most important themes, the act of letting go. It’s Luke’s grief for them and Ben that immediately makes him connect with Leia and her loss, it’s the gauntlet that transforms the young naive farm boy we see at the beginning of the film to the determined rebel we see at the end.
I’m not saying Owen was perfect or that he didn’t have a few issues when it came to parenting luke, but like at least acknowledge that all that tough love went into making luke one of the most resilient most capable rebels in the alliance.

The ending scene was them pining for each other.
Mobius' echo of "let time pass" reaching Loki and making him tear up confirming he was watching over Mobius.
Mobius leaving the TVA because Loki isn't there anymore.
Mobius being completely miserable whereas Sylvie is seen happy and care free and time hopping with only a "it's weird that Loki's not here, isn't it?"
Loki going to seek Mobius first for comfort when faced with the moral dilemma of choosing who lives and dies.
Loki staring at his hand wistfully, with tears in his eyes while he watches Mobius slip away.
Mobius being the first to notice something was wrong when Loki started walking towards the loom.
The fact that Mobius was present when Loki said "I know what kind of god i need to be... for you" means the director(s) and writer(s) are seeing him as a possible romance arc in the future for Loki that's why they put him there with Sylvie to claim plausible deniability.
The season one kiss being retconed.
Loki not killing Sylvie (which he contemplated at first) means he wants to give her the chance to go write her own story like she's always wanted without running. And we can see her being happy (without Loki) at the end because she's finally free.
At the end, Sylvie is comforting Mobius because he's hurting more and evidently more miserable.

I really like Sylvie. She's a great character and a good Loki variant. What I DON'T like is Disney forcing the selfcest of Loki in love with Loki.
Sylvie=great
Sylki=gross

I think the prequels should’ve made Owen Lars Anakin’s full brother. I think we should’ve had gruff 19/20 year old completely Force-null Owen in TPM and make the audience assume for a moment that that’s young Darth Vader, but nope, it’s the tiny blond Yippee boy who’s playing with droids.
I want to play with old Ben’s line about Uncle Owen in ANH “He thought (Anakin) should’ve stayed here, not gotten involved (in the clone wars)” as Owen urging Anakin to quit the Order in AOTC because a war is brewing in the Republic, telling him their mother sent Anakin away to be safe, and would never approve of him becoming a soldier.
Then Uncle Owen in OWK with that same dismissive attitude towards Obi-Wan but this time it’s not just protectiveness of Luke but also because he blames the Jedi for corrupting his little brother
