Wait are you still around episode 200 of Naruto Shippuden? How do you feel about it? What arc are you watching rn?
i think i'm at 208 rn? actual answer will be under the cut
i like it! i can only manage about 3 episodes a night though because the pace of information has increased RAPIDLY!!! like. my chats with kate (my best friend who got me into naruto) are really messy now and frantic when im watching naruto
it used to be that i could watch like 5 or 6 episodes in a row without feeling like i'd seen anything i'd want to tell them about, but now i'm constantly having to pause naruto to give them my liveblogged observations.
i think i'm at the 5 hokage summit arc. literally the last episode i watched, danzō revealed his fucked up sharingan arm to "madara" (who i am dead sure is just obito) and sasuke. i know sasuke kills madara. i hope this is where it is.
i feel really bad for all the team kakashi kids. like. sakura, the perfect mirror of her sensei, is trying to take on the burden of the whole team and spare everyone elses feelings, she said she accepts if naruto hates her for killing sasuke, i think part of her would probably want naruto to hate her for killing sasuke.
sai was just trying to "look out" for naruto (it seems he's really recently developed a bit of a. shockingly protective tendency towards naruto? i think he's finally given in to the sway of naruto's weird ability to make other lonely teenage boys obsessed with him) but he fucked up big time and goaded sakura into trying to kill sasuke, which obviously. is not. comforting for any of them.
naruto literally has not had a second to rest, every 5 seconds somebody comes to him with a new problem and is like "also? this thing you loved and trusted is exploding. good luck" and he looks dead on his feet.
yamato seems like hes getting REALLY agitated about that specifically? like when sakura showed up and started confessing her love to naruto and following it up immediately with "so stop looking for sasuke! please stop looking for sasuke. its fine. stop looking for sasuke" Yamato seemed to get almost legitimately mad. kakashi kinda kept him from interfering.
then sai's clone appeared and explained sakura planned to kill sasuke. and then gaara showed up and explained that sasuke attacked the 5 hokage summit. and naruto seemed so exhausted and overwhelmed he looked like he was gonna pass out. yamato, again, stepped forward like he was gonna try to help but kakashi held him back again and was like "let naruto deal with this on his own"
fair enough. a probably the last thing naruto needs is having somebody up in his space trying to make him feel better when he's already so bad at allowing himself to experience negative feelings in the first place. fair enough.
also unrelated but i hate when obito sucks people into the hole in his twisty little mask. it looks like hes inhaling them. like the kirby.
Tumblr media
i am sitting here trying to watch naruto and then it looks like he just fucking eats torune and fū (danzō's special Root Bodyguards). man. that obito guy is weird.

Secret Santa is here! @xsweetelegantdisasterx I hope you were good this year🤔
Anyways, here's a present for you🎁
Parring: gn!reader x Amamiya Masaki
Summary: Being Cobra's sibling might be hard but dealing with outsiders? Different story
Warnings: harsh language
A/N: Hi, Aimee! Merry Christmas, I hope you have a great time with your family. I hope you enjoy my little present 🖤
Tumblr media
"Long time no see!" The door to Naomi's diner opened widely as you walked in with a smile on your lips and a few wounds on your face.
"Finally." Noboru in two steps walked up to you and hugged you tightly, almost killing you with his love. "We were worried."
"As always." You laughed but coughed due to lack of air. "Let. Me. Breath."
Noboru immediately stepped back and smiled shyly. He might not look like that but he was strong, especially his hugs.
"So where were you?" Yamato, when Noboru moved, hugged you, more gently than his friend.
"Ah, everywhere." Your answer was very general. "Done some fighting. Met new people. Basic stuff."
"You always do your 'basic stuff' and come back in blood." Summarized Noboru.
"I hope it's not your blood." Finally, Cobra, who has been silent from the moment you had walked in, spoke up, making you all three look at him.
"Well...most of it ain't mine." You said with a proud smile. "Just random men in the Nameless City. No biggie."
Cobra said nothing, only rolled his eyes, but you knew he was smiling inside. He could look cold but come on, he wasn't a monster.
"Sit." Noboru, who disappeared for a second, came back with a first aid kit and pointed at the chair. "You need to look like a person."
"Nah, I'm fine." You walked up to the bar to talk to Naomi, who greeted you with a smile and a glass of water.
"Sit." Before you took a sip, someone grabbed you by the waist and dragged to the chair where you realized it was Yamato.
"I haven't been here for two weeks and you all act as if I just came back from a war." Your eyes moved to Cobra who was looking through the window. "Calm down, guys. I can handle myself."
"You sure?" The door opened again and two men came in.
When you realized who they were, you literally jumped up from your chair and hid behind Yamato's body, only peaking over his elbow.
"That's you?" A brown haired man pointed at you with a confused expression on his face. "Why are you here?"
"You know them?" Asked Noboru quietly, not moving his eyes from the guests.
"Amamiya brothers." Interrupted Cobra, slowly got up from his seat and walked in front of his friends. "What do you want?"
"Why are they here?" Masaki was still pointing at you, his eyes jumping from one person to another, including his brother. "Why?!"
"Not your business, giraffe." You hissed with a teasing smile.
"That's not what you called me a week ago." Masaki raised his eyebrow and smiled.
"No, I called you a bastard." Finally you came out from behind Yamato and faced brothers. "By the way, Cobra is my brother."
With that being said, you grabbed the first aid and went to the bathroom that Naomi let you all use.
A hot shower, that was something you needed. And fuck the stinging of the wounds, you enjoyed every second of the warmth on your skin, every hot drop tracing your body curves and the feeling of relief and relax. During those two weeks you were away, you forgot how the hot shower felt, you only had cold water and only from time to time, so now it was a blessing from the universe you could spend your sweet time in the warmth.
After you were done, clean and dry, you put on a hoodie that was hanging in the bathroom, probably one of the boys' and sweatpants you had with you, the one that wasn't covered in blood.
"Okay." Quick look in the mirror and you left the bathroom.
"Took you long enough." Joked Masaki when you again appeared in the diner.
"Mind your business, would you?" You sat next to Cobra, letting everyone in the room see the similarities between you two.
"I don't know what's going on between you two but cut it." Hiroto interrupted your childish argument and looked at Cobra who hasn't lifted his eyes even for a second. "You know what's going on. Won't you do something?"
"I don't know what's going on." Yamato looked and sounded confused. "Can someone enlighten me?"
"People are getting killed, buildings are burning, you know, basic stuff." Explained Masaki with a shrug. "No biggie."
"Well, your BETTER brother acts like the world is ending." You interrupted. "I guess it is a biggie."
"Better?" Masaki looked offended. "Excuse you? You didn't sl-"
"You are a bit late." Again, Cobra, after some time of silence, spoke up and looked at the Amamiya brothers. "It is being taken care of while we are talking."
"What?" Masaki got up from his seat and slammed his hands on the table. "We came here for nothing?"
"Anyone invited you?" You raised your eyebrow and smiled. "Don't remember saying anything."
"You were drunk!" Yelled Masaki.
"So were you!" You answered in the same manner.
The silence after your short argument was very quiet... more quiet than normally the silence is.
"Whatever." You got up and left, leaving all those men in the diner.
So you thought.
"Wait!" It was Masaki, running after you.
"Fuck off!" You yelled, not even thinking of stopping. "I've done talking."
"Why are you even mad?" Okay, this question made you stop and turn aggressively.
"Hmmm, let me think." You acted like you were thinking and finally got an idea. "Oh, right. You left me alone after that night."
"Really? That what's going on?" Masaki brushed his hair and sighed.
"Yeah." You felt like you two finished talking, so you continued on walking.
"And that's all?" He didn't give up.
"Ain't that enough?" You felt tears in your eyes, you were sure a few more words and you would explode.
Good for him, that he didn't disagree with you because that would break your heart even more. And you didn't want that...he didn't want that.
With that being said, or not, Masaki stopped and watched you, as you were walking away, disappearing from his view.
-
Night walkes. You missed it as much as you missed hot showers. Sleeping city, not lights disturbing the beauty of the sky, moon and the stars. It always would bring a smile to your face no matter what.
And it did now. Even though your eyes were red from crying, your lips were smiling while you were watching the night scenery. The comfort it was giving was indescribable.
"Ufff. I'm glad I caught you." The voice you didn't expect to hear now surprised you and the owner in a few steps stood in front of you and grabbed your arm. "And now I won't let you go until we talk."
"There is nothing to talk to." You answered yet you didn't move away, you kind of craved his touch.
"There is a lot to talk about." Whispered Masaki. "First of all, why are you mad."
"I've already told you."
"No. I know it's not the only reason." You again felt the tears in your beautiful eyes and a second later they were on your cheeks, making their way to your chin and then on your clothes. "Tell me, angel. Why are you mad at me?"
Angel?
That's what he called you a week ago. He still remembered?
"You...you made me fall in love with you." You whispered, eyes full of tears, lips trembling and lungs having problems with catching the air. "Yes, I'm madly in love with you. And after you left after that night, it broke my heart. I-I thought we had something....I was w-wrong."
As at the first you tried to control your tears, now you couldn't. You let them run down your face while your eyes were sadly looking at Masaki with the moon reflecting in them. And you waited, for the answer.
He only smiled and shook his head.
"Oh, angel." His fingers tuck a hair lock behind your ear and caressed your warm cheeks. "You really thought it was just a one-night stand? I might be crazy looking but I would never."
His thumb ran over your bottom lip, what caused those butterflies to fly in your stomach, just like a week ago when you two had been in that room, just the two of you, dim light, bottle of wine on the table that you had been pouring into your already drunk bodies.
And now, when his lips touched yours, the memories came back as if it all had happened yesterday. The tears dried, body stopped shaking from nervousness, eyes closed. Your fingers griped Masaki's jacket and pulled him closer even though there was no distance between you two. But everyone knew why...you didn't want to lose him again.
"I'm not going anywhere, angel." Whispered Amamiya with a smile. "You're mine."

La Danse Macabre Rabbit TV Part 4: The Fourth Intermission
Part 3
Momo: Ah, Haruka! Great job out there!
Haruka Isumi: Ah... ...Y-you too...
Momo: You haven't had any trouble during filming, have you?
Haruka Isumi: ...Trouble...
Haruka Isumi: Not me personally, but I'm not sure about him...
Momo: Who?
Haruka Isumi: ...Rokuya-san.
Nagi Rokuya: Yamato! Hug me!
Yamato Yamato: Give me a break..! We JUST hugged!
Nagi Rokuya: I want another!
Yamato Nikaido: I'm not gonna keep embarrassing myself for you..!
Momo: Ahaha! Oh, you meant Nagi. He's been like that 24/7 lately!
Haruka Isumi: He always acts like that? That's kinda different from how I imagined him...
Momo: The cool prettyboy and the guy who can't contain his love for his teammates are both Nagi, y'know!
Momo: What about your group? Do you guys have the kind of relationship where you can show each other even the more embarrassing parts of yourselves?
Haruka Isumi: ...I... I think we do.
Momo: Okay! That's good to hear!
Yamato Nikaido: Momo-san! Help me out, here. You and him are both in the Church of Nerve, so maybe you could get him to stop...
Momo: Nyahaha! But Nagi acts completely different during the shoots.
Momo: We don't get to film with the rest of you nearly as much, so it makes sense that he'd get a little lonely.
Nagi Rokuya: OH, worry not, Mister Momo. I have Yamato firmly in my arms.
Yamato Nikaido: And I'm telling you to let go of me, already..!
Momo: Even Haruka's shocked to see the guy who said lines like, "'Tis a man-made Heaven, but it needs a Hell below to prosper" acting this way!
Haruka Isumi: ...I was just a little surprised...
Nagi Rokuya: Hehe. Thank you, Isumi-shi.
Haruka Isumi: T-that wasn't really a compliment...
Nagi Rokuya: You have plenty of gap moe, yourself.
Haruka Isumi: Moe..?
Yamato Nikaido: Nagi. Don't go teaching the kid any weird anime lingo, now.
Nagi Rokuya: ...Right, my mistake. What I should have said is that you are much like Arme.
Haruka Isumi: Huh?
Nagi Rokuya: I happened to overhear you talking to your grandmother on the phone the other day...
Nagi Rokuya: You had the gentlest voice when you told her that you would return home soon.
Yamato Nikaido: Wow, really!? Come to think of it, you do live  with your grandma.
Momo: Oh my gosh~! That's the kind of stuff that really gets me emotional..!
Haruka Isumi: Wha... I thought nobody would be around to hear that..!
Yamato Nikaido: Ah, sorry about him, Isumi-kun. Nagi's got a knack for hiding his presence...
Haruka Isumi: A "knack" for it..?
Momo: ...Hold up. Nagi, teach me how to hide my presence!
Yamato & Haruka: Huh?
Nagi Rokuya: Oh, there are moments when you wish not to be seen?
Momo: ...I wanna film Yuki's daily life without him noticing.
Nagi Rokuya: Hm, I see...
Haruka Isumi: They're actually having a serious discussion over spying on people...
Yamato Nikaido: You're better off ignoring them. Trust me.
Momo: Besides, I think it'll help me play Eternea better!
Nagi Rokuya: ...Very well. I shall teach you a method of subterfuge anyone can use.
Momo: Please, Master Nagi!
Nagi Rokuya: The most important step is adaptive movements.
Yamato, Momo, & Haruka: Adaptive movements...
Nagi Rokuya: You must be aware of the other person's movements, without so much as looking at them. Match your walking speed with theirs, for example.
Momo: Uh-huh...
All: .......
Nagi Rokuya: I feel thirsty...
Yamato, Momo, & Haruka: .......
Nagi Rokuya: I do believe I left my phone over here...
Yamato, Momo, & Haruka: .......
All: .......
Nagi Rokuya: My suspicions have been confirmed. Not one of you could ever hope to become a spy.
Momo: Ah..! Crap, we were all following Nagi around..!
Haruka Isumi: I-I didn't even mean to do it...
Yamato Nikaido: ...Wait, who said anything about becoming a spy!?
Nagi Rokuya: Good grief. You cannot be trusted with looking after Misericorde if this is the best you can do.
Momo: N-now he's switching around the characters in the drama, too..!?
Nagi Rokuya: ...The role of Misericorde is very important. Since I have been chosen to play him, I shall fulfill my duty, even if it means betraying my friends.
Nagi Rokuya: However... I wanted to do at least one battle scene!
Momo: Ah, you and me both! As Nerve, we're basically the only noncombatants in the story.
Yamato Nikaido: I guess you are. You guys are so strong spiritually that I kinda forgot...
Momo: Yeah. We can be super imposing. That's why I really gotta hand it to Arme, or rather, his actor Haruka!
Haruka Isumi: ...Me?
Momo: You're probably not used to working with us yet, but you still manage to get past all the scenes that are really intense and tiring on you mentally just fine.
Momo: Lots of people get swept up in people's performances, but you never let that happen to you.
Momo: Your role's a really tough one, but let's both do our best!
Haruka Isumi: Y-yeah..!
Momo: By the way, Yamato, Yuki thinks your role fits you perfectly. Isn't that great!?
Yamato Nikaido: Why would it be great!?
Momo: Also, he said being ordered around by you gave him chills, Nagi!
Nagi Rokuya: Oh dear. It appears I have made yet another soul my captive.
Haruka Isumi: U-um... Everyone.
Yamato Nikaido: Hm? What is it?
Haruka Isumi: ...I've been learning a lot from working with you. Thank you very much.
Haruka Isumi: I'll continue to do my best.
Yamato Nikaido: Yeah! Right back at you.
Nagi Rokuya: Heh. We are all counting on you.
Momo: Ahaha! You're so cute, Haruka. No need to be so formal!
Momo: I know, we should all go do karaoke after this! I mastered PoiGang the other day!
Haruka Isumi: Huh!? Whose parts did you sing?
Momo: Toma's! I can even do the rapping parts!
Haruka Isumi: W-wow..!
Momo: Yamato, you sing Minami's parts. Nagi, you're on Torao duty!
Nagi Rokuya: OH! I have been entrusted with yet another important role. Let us give our all, Yamato!
Yamato Nikaido: A-are we really gonna do karaoke together..? I don't know if I have the nerves to sing in front of you guys...
Momo: Got it... Got it... Got it...
Yamato & Nagi: Say wassup!
Haruka Isumi: Ahaha! That was good!
Nagi Rokuya: Perhaps I should even make myself appear more like Mido-shi. Shall I take off my shirt?
Yamato Nikaido: And how do you suggest I make myself look like Natsume-chan..?
Haruka Isumi: Uh... First, you need to make your eyes droopy...
Momo: I've got tape, if you need any!
Yamato Nikaido: I'm not gonna have to do some kind of weird party tricks for you, am I!?
Haruka Isumi: Ah... Or you could tilt your head up a little and make a face like you can see right through us.
Yamato Nikaido: Uh, sure...
Haruka Isumi: Rokuya...-san, you need to stand more proudly...
Nagi Rokuya: Like this?
Momo: Ahaha! That looks really good! Let me style my hair a bit differently, too!
Haruka Isumi: U-um, would any of you mind if I took a picture of this?
Momo: Of course not! It'll make for a nice behind-the-scenes shot, won't it? C'mon, scoot over!
Haruka Isumi: Ahh...
Yamato Nikaido: I guess I'll just have to grin and bear it!
Nagi Rokuya: This will be a picture for the ages!
All: Peace!

So while I was working on my… analysis I suppose, on why Digimon Adventure: does not work as a show, it occurred to me that despite claims that Taichi in Adventure: is inspired by V-Tamer Taichi, his partner is an Agumon whose final evolution is Omegamon, and why that doesn’t work. But I realized that it is a point that I could expand on, and so I have separated it out here. Consider it a preview.
The protagonists of Digimon V-Tamer are Yagami Taichi and his partner Zero, a Veedramon. The story is carried by these two alone. While others help and hinder them on their way, their mission is theirs, and the responsibility of defeating Daemon belongs to no one else. It is with that power that they reach their highest form, UlforceVeedramon Future Mode While Taichi is the main protagonist, Zero is just as much a protagonist. Their names, even reference binary. While there are other characters who impact the plot, the role of protagonist belongs to these two.
This is echoed in the themes of Digimon Adventure:, the digivice in the title supposedly representing the bonds between human and digimon. And, while I don’t think it particularly succeeds, I can see clear attempts to be made to make the digimon partners their own characters, equals to their human partners.
But yet, Digimon Adventure: uses Omegamon as Taichi and Agumon’s final evolution. And that is a bit of a problem. Digimon Partners are not interchangeable. Well, okay, the species are a bit arbitrary, all things considered, (after all, Zero’s rookie form is also Agumon) but the problem is what UlforceVeedramon represents vs. Omegamon.
In Digimon Adventure, Omegamon is not Taichi’s power alone. Not by a long shot. Taichi is not the solo human protagonist of Digimon Adventure. Even in the first film, before Hikari was even meant to play a key role in the series, she shared the series debut. Regardless, the burden of defeating Apocalymon is not his alone to bear. And Agumon’s evolutions reflect that. WarGreymon is reached through borrowing Hikari’s power. Omegamon is literally formed by WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon (who was formed by borrowing Takeru’s power), but in reality is born from the power of hundreds of people reaching out from across the world. And perhaps even Taichi’s crest of Courage is not something that belongs to him alone. As Yamato puts it, “It’s everyone's Friendship”. Though Taichi best embodies courage, the courage he wields is not his alone. Even tri. which I usually avoid using as an example, has Omegamon Merciful Mode, which very explicitly draws from the other children’s partners. Adventure’s Taichi’s not strong because he himself is powerful. Really compared to Hikari he seems rather unimpressive on his own. He’s strong because he is able to easily act as a receiver to others powers, a trait that is fitting for a leader. Because that’s what sets Adventure Taichi apart from his peers, he’s a leader.
Note, that I didn’t really bring up the partners in regards to the discussion of Adventure, not that they aren’t important, but that they aren’t a driving factor. Digimon partners are something vastly different in Digimon Adventure. They are reflections of the children’s inner selves. For straightforward characters, like Taichi, his partner Agumon is very much like him, and for characters like Sora, Piyomon seems very different. This isn’t to say that the digimon are simply their partners, Tailmon went through quite a bit on her own. But nevertheless, Tailmon is the way she is, because Hikari is the way she is.
Digimon Partners and their evolutions are not things that are just assigned, and given. They are things that arise from the circumstances. Omegamon is there because the themes and circumstances make Omegamon the most appropriate "Ultra”. This is true both in and out of universe, who can forget SkullGreymon? SkullGreymon isn’t wrong. It’s just not the evolution that fits Taichi and Agumon’s situation.
And here’s the thing. Digimon has done the whole focus on “Bonds with Partner’s” before. That’s Tamers. And in Tamers, the final evolution was born from a human and a digimon literally coming together as one. The final episodes all appear somewhat humanoid as a result, particularly notable from WarGrowmon to Gallentmon. Because that was what evolutions were needed narratively and thematically. Otherwise, we have Megidramon. And guess what, the Adventure timeline also has a movie in which the focus is on the bonds between human and friendship, and lo and behold. In Digimon Adventure Kizuna, Agumon (Bond of Courage) and Gabumon (Bond of Friendship) were born. Born from the bond between human and digimon. They even use the “looking like humans” idea from Tamers.
Interestingly, Kizuna came right before Digimon Adventure: started.
Now, I am really advocating for the Bond forms to be used in Adventure:, those forms were something special to that timeline. But that’s just the thing. Many evolutions, whether unique digimon or not, are brought about by circumstances unique to that timeline. Look at 02’s usage of Armor levels, Frontier's Hybrids, and Xros Wars' Xros mechanic. It’s not new for later seasons to take these Digimon that have existed in these specific circumstances and use them generically later. It would, after all, be a shame to put all those good designs to waste. But at the very least, the evolutions of the main cast are carefully chosen, created if need be, to fit the show.
And that creates a problem for Adventure: as a reboot. It is pulling from the evolutionary lines of its predecessor, despite aiming for different themes and using an entirely different world and characters, and in the process the meaning behind the evolutions has been stripped out. While it has been able to throw in additional evolutions, most of those are well within the confines of precedent: Armors and Ultimate’s that are already related to these evolutionary lines. Adventure: is trying to be a show that, as a reboot of Adventure, it cannot be. Adventure: spends so much of its time screaming that it is not the original Adventure, while simultaneously dragging in call backs that it loses any sense of identity.
The enemies they fight are not Taichi’s responsibility alone. These kids have to have crests. Agumon must evolve into Omegamon.  Angemon still has to die, HolyAngemon and Angemon have to mean something. Tailmon has to be Adult, and has to have been evil. Hikari and Takeru have to give their brother’s power. Omegamon still has to appear. . They still go to summer camp, and Taichi still fights Parrotmon.
Note, that this is far from Adventure:’s only problem, however I do think it illustrates a large problem that affects the way certain elements and characters are used in this show. Taichi is a solo protagonist, but his “Ultra” is still Omegamon born of Yamato, Takeru and HIkari’s influence. Mimi is now a bossy rich girl, but her crest is still Purity. Yamato is a loner who doesn’t overly concern himself with others, but he’s still Friendship, and still Takeru’s semi-estranged younger brother.
When Adventure: manages to work a new angle into the old mold, it works well. Yamato’s focus on his friendship with Gabumon works well, and various side characters work alright. Resolving the conflict over Tailmon’s Ultimates by using both for separate things and bringing in Goddramon is a great idea. But more often than not, it doesn’t. Properly contextualizing what a holy digimon is is great, but Angemon’s death is awkward, and Pegususmon’s presence smooths over the issues of Tailmon being champion and keeping Angemon special in an awkward way, refusing to address what an Armor is. Because they are trying to write a story around a set of evolutions they are required to have while absolutely refusing to be Adventure where it matters. Leading to the awkward mesh of Adventure elements and characters, with themes and stories that they were never meant for.
If Adventure: was meant to be about the bond between Taichi and Agumon, Omegamon was never going to work, including the concepts of crests, was going to muddle things at the very least, and including 7 whole other partner pairs who are going to require at least a few episodes of focus a piece was not going to work out. It’s not that we couldn’t have had more focus on Taichi and Agumon within a reboot and their bond, or that the idea of Taichi and Agumon (or any other pair), activating an evolution because they are in agreement on a concept isn’t a good idea. Just an understanding that this primary focus wasn’t going to work because Adventure in its very concept has a lot of characters that need some degree of focus. Savers with its heavier Masaru focus and use of shonen tropes, dials back the number of “main” characters to half that of Adventure, because it is built around its premise. That unless they were going to be bumped down to secondary, recurring characters, this was never going to work, because that’s not how Adventure’s concept was intended. To tell a new story, it needed to have dropped a few more of Adventure’s elements. But to do that would be to essentially admit that this isn’t Adventure at all. Adventure: needed to have evaluated what story it could tell with what elements it was required to include.
Anything goes in Digimon, and Adventure: seems to want to make the most of this, using armors, Hybrids and Xros Wars digimon with regularity. But you can’t build a cohesive narrative simply by plucking your favorite ingredients and sticking it in a pot. Some things just don’t go together. You can’t take the ingredients to make bread and make a salad. But in short, V-Tamer Taichi and Adventure Taichi aren’t interchangeable. They are two different characters because they are designed for two different stories, and their partners reflect this. Adventure: was doomed from the start if it didn’t realize this.

One Piece Chapter 1001 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
God this wait has felt like an eternity While the official release of Chapter 1000 has been out for about 11 days the fan translations of the chapter have been up a week longer
And 1000 was one hell of a show, hyping up a big moment as we look to go into the climactic stage of the raid
Spoilers for Chapter 1001, Support the Official Release as well!
A cool cover page to start with Jimbei getting some much-needed lounging, feels a bit like a Ponyo reference too
Big Mom shouting at Luffy like he hadn’t just introduced Kaido to the floor
Come on Zoro I’m pretty sure you know Ryou too
Killer...did you not have faith?
The image of Luffy with WB, Shanks, Oden, Rocks and Roger behind him though is a top notch image, interestingly no Blackbeard behind him either despite being recognized as a Yonko
Dang Oda really likes to draw Thunder Bagua doesn’t he?
This time though base Luffy survives so that definitely is growth
I never considered Kaido to be deceptively fast, especially given how we’ve never really seen his motion, but to be fast enough to bypass Luffy’s futuresight is a bad thing
EXCUSE ME ZORO WHAT STYLE!?
Zoro out here using Kin’emon’s moveset! That is definitely an upgrade for him to be able to cut fire
Prometheus deserves this though, he’s always been an ass and Zeus already gets cut in half by Brook all the time
‘Luffy don’t let your guard down’ as Luffy lets his guard down and gets saved by Law
Law this isn’t the time to be a tsundere Nakama, save the ‘I was gonna do it without you asking anyway’ stuff for later
Lots of scrub talk here, come on guys you’re supposed to be fighting 2 Yonko here
Oda really likes this Wano face doesn’t he?
But Law you too? You’re supposed to be the brain cell of the trio!
Kaido wanting to solo these guys is a worrisome thought though, does that mean BM may plan something else?
Zoro got the bandanna on so you know he’s on the serious shit
Please Killer, you’re cool and all but those are excuses, I mean you were fighting Zoro who was a sword short and had Gyukimaru prodding him in his blind spot, it’s hardly the same
Looks like Zoro’s gauging Enma’s power too much though, could this bite him if he goes too far?
As I thought, Kaido’s beginning to enjoy himself, which is a scary thought when the heroes are about to unleash their big guns
Luffy’s Kong Gun looks like the same pose as his Jet Pistol on Blackbeard in Impel Down
Out comes the Dragon again, everyone’s using their strong suits this round
Oda nooooooo, not another break! Our hearts can’t take it!
Well okay then Now we have a fight!
While the chapter didn’t divert away from the action it was good to at least find a stopping point to move on to a different part of the raid later, what mattered here though was showing that the Red Roc merely stunned Kaido a little rather than Bellamy’d him We also got to see Zoro show something new which was pretty cool, there’s much more to this fight and it definitely feels like the Yonko are the ones with the advantage, at the same time though I don’t think any of these five will quit
Perhaps it’ll reach a point where the crew comes to support, as well as any recovered minks (Carrot and Wanda for instance) as well as Marco and Yamato. But it is a matter of dealing with Perospero, King and Queen down below
Overall still an awesome chapter and we are hopefully getting to the part of Wano where Oda has been saying it makes Marineford look small. Just gotta wait that extra week again and hope for more to come.

Thing's that makes me believed that Yameiko should be endgame.
Hello! It's been a long time huh!
First of all, that's my opinion about the digimon series, and it's not my intentions offend anyone. Only thing that i wanted here is just express my opinion and all of us put on a reflection moment about the serie.
It's been a long time that I wanted to talk about this, since that i watched the first Tri  movie, but I felt like I was only person that thought that way and my opinion wouldn't be well accepted.
But i see some Yameiko post's, i rebloged then and when i posted photostos or talk about them, people starting liked, and i felt more confortable in post this, even there's a little people talk about them, and i felt that i need to share this and who knew more people posted more about this ship.
So let's get started!
So I'm going to start with this list, with the times when Yamato saved Meiko's life. That's the part more evident in this ship.
Since i watch first move of digimon tri, there's only thing that kept me whatch all serie, i mean, there was two people that makes me watch the whole serie, Yamato and Meiko.
Why? Beacause the first interaction betwen them it was so intense and effective that it made me wonder if this wasn't something to keep an eye on them, for some possible development in the future.
They were also developing Koumi and, as far as I imagine, the first part it was to introduce us to the story that was being told. This also applies to any story being told.
Anyway! Let's go to the scenes.
The first scene them together, without anyone of the group, it was a scene that yamato saves Meiko, in a moment very vulnerable for her in the first Tri movie.
Tumblr media
I don't think Yamato in that moment saved her because she is someone importat to him, but he does because she needed help and we know he have these protect instinct when he’s see someone in danger.
But ask yourself, do you think that other times that his saved her life, it was only for because she was in danger?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For example, the way he screams because he is forced to accept that Meicoomon needs to die, and when he ran to stop Meiko (when she went after the meicrackmon) and wold end up killing herself along with meicoomon, he doesn't think twice before running up to her (as Taichi did and, he only did because Yamato ran after Meiko).
Do you think that there's not something more behind, and what could be?
Tumblr media
And if you were Meiko in these situations, do you couldn't feeling something for your savior? ...
I think this may be possible had some feelings for each other in a life-or-death situation. Because it brings good feelings of comfort, safety and protection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
See how in this scene it’s seems like them try to come closer to each other
Tumblr media
Or in this scene when Yamato say to her don't apologizes for what happening with Taich and move on.
You didn't find it weird the Meiko’s reaction when she find that Yamato is Takeru’s brother?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What If she does that expression because she started know more about Yamato, the one who saved her life and, and she felt grateful to him, and the guy who was more close to her until then (Takeru) it was your brother?
See how Takeru be impressed with this?
Probably he getting something behind the Meiko's expression. He knows better than everyone in the group how treat a girl, and how she could feellt and there’s a lot of scenes that could prove that.
And don't you think it's strange the way Yamato gets introspective in this second film?
Tumblr media
Okay... We know it's because he and Taich weren't well, but is there the only reason he's a recluse?
Did you see this scene when Meiko talked about Meicoomon to the girls, and said that her digimon never evolved before?
Yamato had his back to her and when she says so, it soon shows him leaving the table where the guys were sitting and Nishijima looking at him with his face that he didn't understand what was going on.
That doesn't seem like nothing important, but why put this part in this scene? There any meaning behind it?
Tumblr media
What if he was introspective and watched her and tried to get to know her better and how would she act with the rest of the group, at the same time he was still mad at Taich?
I think it might be possible because no one knew much about her, and he saved her and of course he'd keep an eye on her after that.
I started thinking that way when I realized how Takeru at the beginning of the second film, he was very attentive to what Meiko was doing, like trying to make her more comfortable with the group, when he saw her talking to Himekawa or when he was asking questions in front of everyone in the group.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Oh! See this reference that she lived in a city in the city where Yamato and Takeru's grandmother lived).
It may sound crazy, but what if Yamato and Takeru were suspicious of something and were wondering how Meiko ended up getting into this whole situation?
No one would suspect Takeru's behavior, since he was always a very kind guy and Yamato was always a more observant and reserved guy and both could draw their own conclusions in different ways.
And I think everyone agrees that Yamato would be able to do this kind of thing, like when he went to meet Himekawa and Nishijima to learn more about the Meicoomon’s investigation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i know this scene would be less important to defended this ship.
Anyway i still think this scene is very weird don’t you?
Now let's talk about how much he's worried about her and her feelings and always put her in the group as a member.
Tumblr media
It’s so cute that scene!!
The second time he saves her, she still wants to run after meicoomon to try to stop her, he stopped her immediately and say don't do it because she could get hurt and Meicoomon would become more unstable.
Tumblr media
Okay again it looks like he's protective instincts, but I could believe it if he'd done it a few times. but if you put other times that he done that, it seems something more envolved.
for example see this scene when Meiko comeback to school after days without talk with anyone in the thirth Tri movie?
Tumblr media
This scene call’s my attention for only two things:
Did you see the way Yamato talk to her and how Mimi call him?
Tundra (or correct term tsundere) is a Japanese proverb, used to describe someone who hides his good feellings by someone being rude to that person ( as like Yamato did in this scene). Usually this term is used in shoujo mangas or animes to develop a couple.
So ... why put this if there's not meaning behind that?
We know how Yamato it’s a person who hide he’s feelings and can’t get express them. So ... it’s could be possible that Mimi, Taich and Sora say the truth in this scene.
But there’s much more!
Tumblr media
This scene is very curious to analyze. For us who were watching, we knew that Takeru wasn't thinking about Meiko in the first place when he said that, but in Patamon who was infected.
But look at that curious, Yamato looks directly at Meiko, thinking that his brother was referring to her, he apologizes and is sad to have been insensitive.
But look what's more curious this, at first Yamato wouldn't bother to defeat the digimons if they were infected, but when it happened and Raguelmon had to be defeated, he had that reaction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This act for me has more meaning than any words.
Tumblr media
Yamato is one of those who scolds Joe for talking like that of The Meicoomon, because he knew how it affected Meiko.
Now let’s talk about the cave scene! ... Meiko’s talk about your insecurites about meicoomon and your friedns try to say her to don’t give up to Meicoomon and don’t close yourself and share with them all your problems and ...
Tumblr media
Only people talk to her to comfort and were Taich, Hikari, Sora, Mimi and Yamato, and the Yamato's words, there's more impact than any other said before.
And remember how the trailer made us thought that was Yamato holding Meiko’s hand?
And it’s not only time that he does that!
Tumblr media
This scene is so interesting. Look how mad Yamato seems for not being able to say the right thing for her. He tries so hard to say that she and Meicoomon are not undesirable and felt part of group.
And his not your first time do this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this scene Taichi, Yamato and Joe were talking about Meicoomon and Taich doubts whether they would be able to save Meicoomon. Yamato doesn't think twice before saying that both are part of group and leaves the place very mad.
It is curious to see how Taichi did not seem very sure that Meicoomon had salvation, but Yamato was willing to do anything to help because Meiko and Meicoomon were part of the group.
Tumblr media
And don't forget Yamato's reaction when he sees Taichi raising Meiko and how he seemed to want to cut that scene quickly by telling them to move on.
You think this scene he wasn't feeling at all about seeing both together?
These scenes It made me think that this kind of behavior is not typical of someone introspective like Yamato.
And why does he have such an intense feeling if he's met Meiko a couple days ago, is there something more than partner or friends?
A random curiosity!
Do you realize that in the scene where the digimons recover their memories, Meicoomon appears discreetly in only in Gabumon's and Palmon's memories?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This may sound silly, but if the digimons have a strong connection with their partners, they sure know what's going on in their hearts, and Gabumon knew that saving Meicoomon was important to Yamato, but why?
Did he have any hidden feelings that only Gabumon knew?
And last! Did you notice that the boku ni totte song the lyrics fit perfectly with Meiko and everything she went through?
Okay! ... know the song has another meaning, but doesn't that mean she can't have another interpretation either, right?
If you take the lyrics song sung by Yamato's Japanese voice actor. The lyrics speaks of a very vulnerable moment and this person says he wants to be strong enought  to protect someone and Yamato has a very great protective instinct for Meiko as we saw earlier.
In the chorus it says things like "You say good bye!" and “Don’t say goodbye”  At the end of Tri Meiko left everyone for returned to Tottori.
In addition parts of the song the lyrics say how the person who is leaving is irreplaceable for him, and as i said earlier, Yamato always tried to comfort Meiko by saying that she was part of the group.
Now it's coincidence or there's a deep meaning behind?
See for yourself!
I'm not trying to say that my opinion is the only truth, only the producers and writers behind of the series can answer that, but with all this evidence, wouldn't that be more than enough not to underestimate them?
I hope see more Yameiko's fans here, even  them not being canon in the future, because i think them deservered a especial attention in the fanbase for your "development" as a possible couple.
I hope you like it, and if you could, comment too, even if you don't agree with me, as long you argument be respectfull.

During the U-17 camp, Tezuka was contacted by the German national tennis team. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to go pro, and he had worked his ass off for it. Tezuka had long since earned this chance, but he was sitting on the fence, unsure if he should accept. Why? Because he’s the buchou of Seigaku and his teammates come first. He never wanted to let them down, and he had made the promise that all nine of them would finish the U-17 camp together. There was also another reason, though, and that reason was you.
You had been dating since his second year and you had quickly become his world. He loved you dearly, even if he didn’t do a good job of expressing that. The thought of leaving you behind tore him apart. He knew you would encourage him to go, so he didn’t tell you. You were completely in the dark.
You sat beside Choutarou, handing him an ice-cold bottle of water. He accepted with a kind smile. Ever since Niou and Ryoma were kicked out of the camp, you had gotten quite close to Hyotei’s kind second year and he was grateful to have the distraction since his best friend had been sent home as well.
“Y/N!” Atobe came stomping up to you, annoyance written on his face. You internally sighed, wondering what he was going to bitch about now.
“Yes?”
“You have some nerve,” his brow twitched in annoyance. “How can you act so nonchalant?!”
“What the hell are you on about?”
“Are you really okay with Tezuka giving up this chance for you?” He paused but continued talking before you could question him. “He’s giving up a chance to go pro because of you and you’re sitting here without a care in the world!”
“I – ”
“Atobe, it’s time for your match,” Yuushi called from the top of the bleachers. The purple-haired king sent you one last glare before turning around and walking away.
You looked at Choutarou with wide eyes, “Is… is that true?”
“I don’t know, senpai.” He frowned, “Maybe you should talk to Tezuka-san.”
“Yeah…” Your head was reeling as you looked for the brunette. This wasn’t the first time he had hidden something from you. When his arm was badly hurt, he never once said anything to you and you ended up being the last person to find out. Now he had the chance to go pro but he hasn’t told you that either… did he not trust you?
The boy in question was finishing up his scheduled match for the day, so you waited nearby with a towel and a bottle of water. When he saw you, he smiled for a fraction of a second before returning to his usual stoic mask, wrapping the towel around his neck.
“Kunimitsu?”
“Hmm?”
You frowned at the ground, unsure how to ask without making him suspicious. “Has anything exciting happened lately?”
He was silent for a moment, contemplating whether he should tell you. “No,”
You felt your heart drop, but you forced a smile. “I see~ I was just curious. It’s so hard to keep up with everyone is doing.”
He smiled again, so faint that it was barely noticeable. His hand rested on top of your head. “Don’t overwork yourself running around trying to take care of everyone. It’s not your job.”
“I know, I just want everyone to be happy…”
He pressed his lips to your forehead. “I need to practice for my next match. Do you want to come?”
Normally you would have said yes, wanting nothing more than to spend as much time with your busy boyfriend as possible, but your heart was heavy and you had some thinking to do. “Sorry, I promised I’d help Marui with something.”
He nodded in understanding and you went in separate ways. You branched off from the path to the main courts, heading towards the woods instead. It was peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to think over everything.
You knew that Tezuka had strong feelings for you. Why else would he express his feelings for you? It wasn’t something he did to just anyone, but… something was blocking him from fully trusting you and being honest with you. He was so talented and hard-working, he deserved to go pro and you knew that it was his dream. For him to give that up so easily because of you without even telling you about it… You just couldn’t let that happen. Tezuka is stubborn, though, and you knew talking to him about it would just be a waste of time, especially since he didn’t want you to know to begin with. You knew what you had to do.
‘I have to break up with him,’ your heart skipped a beat painfully at the thought. You loved him so much, but you had to think about what was best for him since he was too busy thinking about what was best for everyone else. ‘If I break up with him, he won’t want to stay because of me…’
You knew it would be painful and hard, but you had made up your mind.
☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚: *⋆.*:・゚ .: ⋆*・゚: . ☁
The next day, you waited for Tezuka to finish his daily training. You offered him a towel and a bottle of water, but no smile. He immediately realized that something was wrong.
“Can we talk in private?” You asked, not meeting his gaze. You caught Fuji frowning out of the corner of your eye but you did your best to ignore it.
Tezuka nodded, following you away from the group. You made sure no one was around before taking a deep breath and facing him.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while and… I want to break up.”
His lips tugged down and surprise flashed through his eyes, but his expression didn’t change. “This joke is not funny, Y/N.”
“It’s not a joke. I… I’m not happy in this relationship. It feels dead-end.”
His fists clenched at your words. Dead-end? Is that really how you saw your relationship? Clearly, he felt stronger about it then you did. “I see,”
“Are you.. angry?”
He lowered his head, pushing up his glasses. “No, I’m not angry. You can’t help how you feel.”
Your heart was breaking, and you knew his was, as well. “I’m sorry, Kunimitsu…”
“It’s okay, Y/N.” He pressed a kiss to your cheek before walking away.
As you watched him walk away, you felt tears streaming down your face. What had you done?
☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚: *⋆.*:・゚ .: ⋆*・゚: . ☁
A couple days passed of awkward glances and whispered rumors about what had happened, but neither of you said a thing. Because you shared the same friends, things were awkward and you found yourself isolated by your own choice. Being by yourself was easier than dealing with questioning looks as they tried to figure out what had happened between the two of you, not to mention how Atobe was now following you around demanding to know why you had broken up. Things remained this way until Tezuka’s match against his old captain, Yamato.
After the match ended and Yamato had successfully convinced Tezuka to follow his dream, Atobe stood up, gaining everyone’s attention.
“Ahn, does Ore-sama have to do everything around here?” He scowled, placing his hand on his hip. “You,” he pointed at you and then to Tezuka, “And you, are you really going to leave things like this, huh?”
You looked down at your hands, uncomfortable at the sudden attention you were receiving.
“Atobe,” Most people didn’t catch the hint of warning in Tezuka’s voice, but you could hear it clear as day. Tezuka didn’t get angry often, but he didn’t like it when people meddled in his relationship. Not like that stopped Atobe.
Atobe raised a brow at him before turning to you. “You have nothing to say? You were just telling me how much you love him and how cool it would be to marry him.”
Your cheeks flushed, “Keigo!” Why did you ever trust him with something so embarrassing? You could just feel Tezuka’s gaze on you.
He huffed, folding his arms. “Speak up, we’re listening.”
Yuushi looked between you and him, a look of discomfort on his face. “Maybe you should let it go, Atobe.”
“Ore-sama refuses,”
“I figured as much,” he sighed, sending you an apologetic look.
You bit your lip, hands fisting around your pants. This situation was overwhelming. You stood up, glaring at Atobe who returned the gesture. “You wanna know so bad, huh? I broke up with Kunimitsu to protect him!”
Atobe scoffed, “What kind of logic is that?”
“He was going to turn down the chance to be pro because of me, what did you expect me to do?!” You snapped. “Breaking up with him was the only way to ensure that he would take the offer!”
A warm hand rested on your tight fist and your body reacted to the familiar touch by relaxing just a bit. “How did you know about that?” Tezuka asked, softly.
“Atobe told me that you were giving up going pro because of me.”
His eyes narrowed at the king who had frozen at the news.
“I didn’t even know you had gotten the offer. You didn’t tell me, I had to find out through Atobe…” You sighed. “Why don’t you trust me, Kunimitsu?”
“It has nothing to do with trust,” he responded softly, uncurling your fingers so he could lace them with his own. “I didn’t want to worry you, Y/N. Nothing was definitive, I was still thinking it over.”
You frowned at him. “That’s what comes with being in a relationship, Mitsu. You have to be honest with each other, whether it worries them or not!”
He nodded, taking a deep breath as his hand clutched yours tighter. “I know, I’m sorry. I promise to tell you everything from now on. Forgive me?”
You bit your lip to stop your smile. “I’m sorry, too. I should have confronted you instead of acting like I didn’t know.”
“Ahn and Ore-sama saves another relationship!” He ran his hand through his hair, looking smug.
You deadpanned at him. “That’s pretty bold since this is YOUR fault.”
His expression dropped and he twitched for a moment before regaining his composure and walking away laughing obnoxiously loud.
“That guy is nuts,”
Tezuka nodded in agreement, pushing his glasses up.
“So… are we cool?”
He smiled, this time not bothering to hide it as he pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead. “Yes, we’re cool.”
You returned the smile, “Send me lots of pictures from Germany, okay?”
“I will,”
“Kiss already!” Kiku laughed and you suddenly became aware of all the eyes on you.
You buried your flushed cheeks in Tezuka’s chest, his arms wrapping securely around you.
Despite how annoying Atobe was, you had to be grateful towards him for what he did. Because he misread the situation, he acted in a way that forced the truth to come out. If he hadn’t, you’re not sure you ever would have found out about the offer for him to go pro. You’re going to miss him like crazy, but you’re happy that he’s following his dream.
“I’m proud of you, Mitsu.” You mumbled, smiling into his tennis shirt.
He patted your head lightly, a silent thank you.

Lets chat
This is mostly going to look at Sakura's involvement in the ship, because it mostly revolves around her feelings. If there any refutes please leave them in the notes.
.
.
Now SS is seen as a ship in the Naruto fandom. It consists of Sasuke and Sakura in a romantic/sexual setting. It can be a great ship but let's dwell on that later.
For now, it's time to actually look at the ship and see where it stands. Sakura loves Sasuke. It can't be refuted by the characters or JVA or Kishimoto but where does that love come from?
I've been going through the manga and other people's opinions to make something of my own. That is generally how someone can come to a conclusion but enough about human interactions!
Let's start with Sakura!
Sakura is first seen as a fangirl that crushes on Sasuke. That is how we generally see her. Obsessing over Sasuke and his image.
Now that's the opinion of Naruto and probably anyone that is new to the Naruto series. However, as the story progresses we see how Sakura stops seeing Sasuke as an idea. As an unattainable and unapproachable force.
We see Sakura treat Sasuke more as a person, once they are in a team and spend some time together. Sakura realizes that Sasuke isn't perfect and can be hurt, unlike her idealized version of him. It doesn't make her stop chasing him. It drives her more because he was always the invincable Uchiha. The first time this becomes a reality is during the infamous 'c-rank mission turning into an A-rank'.
The Zabuza arc. The most iconic and memorable thing to happen to them. As a team and trying to find their Nindo, their ninja way. It shows how harsh the Ninja world really is.
Back to Sakura; this is her turning point. This is the point that she wanted to change herself because she wants to help others and Sasuke. Because she's scared for him and his life. Up until this point, she has been thrown into the Ninja world without really knowing the full dangers.
She was from a civilian family, she was bullied by others because of her appearance but was saved by Ino. But, because she's always had to be saved. She finds out what her nindo way is: to save others.
This is her drive and this is what pushes her until Sasuke's revenge and hatred, consume him. At this point Sakura has stopped looking at the fantasized version of her crush and sees Sasuke underneath his mask, underneath his hatred.
Then the Chunin exams begin; it is the second time where Sakura finds herself in a helpless situation. At this moment, Sakura has barely made any progress with herself, but she is slowly improving. She acknowledges that even Naruto is ahead of her. This is the first change in character. She knows she isn't as strong as Sasuke, to protect him or help him.
She drowns in her insecurities, so she takes Sasuke's insult to heart. "You're annoying." But she is also encouraged by his acknowledgement when he notices that she can read Genjutsu like the back of her hand.
That's her drive. His approval, it conflicts me to point out the difference as to why this isn't necessarily good. If he was her mentor, it would have been fine. If he was older and a positive role figure for her, it would have been better.
But they are Ninja and compliments are either going to make them bitter or happy. But because he is a peer, her crush. It is unhealthy. To set her personality, her self importance, solely on one person? -as a person and on a growing girl? It affects them and it influences them greatly
Now, the chunin exam comes and goes and so does Sasuke. He leaves the village but before that Sakura tries to make him stay. She pushes her love to him and he rejects her because he has a vendetta. He has a goal outside of the village. A duty to his clan, his mother and to Itachi. But what sakura does is wrong.
I will point out, at any point, how their actions are wrong.
Sakura pushing her love onto Sasuke to make him stop leaving the village is emotional abuse. A small incident, yes, but she tried. Maybe she wasn't going to hurt herself if he left but her unwanted feelings and trying to guilt him into staying is the problem here.
"I had fun on this team and I know you did too." Is a line that stuck with me, throughout this whole interaction. She's trying to get him to understand that he wasn't alone but she wasn't putting his feelings into consideration.
Emotional abuse may be a strong word for something like this but it shows that they don't know that it's wrong. If he had felt guilt this would have stopped him, but he doesn't. It's his mission and stubbornness that lets him leave her behind.
Sakura is stuck at point A again, he leaves. She's helpless again. She isn't acknowledged by him anymore. So she begs Naruto to get him back. To her, to him, to the team. Because she can't help but feel useless and that it's her fault.
She's there in the aftermath. To clean up the wounds and get stronger. She has to rely on herself at the point because Naruto soon leaves to get stronger, as well.
This is the end of Genin Sakura. Shippuden Sakura is a different person entirely.
But before that, let's stop. I want to mention something. Sakura isn't a girl that will commit to something just because someone else is. I'm referring to her rivalry with Ino.
Before she knew that Ino liked Sasuke, Sakura liked Sasuke's admiration. Then she saw how Ino reacted to Sakura's obvious crush and started noticing more social cues. I.E. Hinata's crush on Naruto and his dullness to his surroundings. But oblivious to her own turmoil until Ino and her talk things out as teens.
Ugh shippuden. Let's get this over with..
Sakura returns with the confidence she lacked from when she was a Genin. That is a given. That is supposed to happen, you realize something you didn't before and move forward with your life and choices. But she doesn't ask for forgiveness from her friends for her attitude.
Because it's her attitude. She built herself up because no one else can do that for her. It still doesn't excuse her, she has to realize a border between herself and her actions. They have meaning and they have weight. It doesn't affect Naruto because nothing stops him but that doesn't mean that it's okay.
Moving on to the ship and yes: this issue will be back with NS.
Onto SS shippuden!
Sakura is more mature and is still after Sasuke. Because she feels responsible? Because she feels like she can support him? Because she wants to help? None of those are love. They are obligations. They are promises. They can be confused as love.
She might have felt guilty because she hadn't done as much when she was younger. It's at this point where I can't see Sakura as in love. Because of her guilt, because she feels responsible for him and his actions. But I will try to find some way to see it. Or understand it as such.
Something I didn't mention before is the curse mark and Sakura's reaction to it. The reason why I saved it to now is because it mostly represents how much has changed between them and how much of their old bond has deteriorated. It shows a passage of time between them.
The curse mark and Sasuke's obsession have been influenced and enhanced by the curse mark. That scared Sakura back when she was a genin, In the forest of death. she didn't want that to happen to him, to lose himself in that hatred. Meeting Sasuke back in Orochimaru's abandoned lab and seeing him for the first time: Shocked her.
He's no longer the Sasuke she knew from before but that didn't stop her from helping him. If it was "undying" love or obligation, I wouldn't know.
This makes her stance on wanting to kill Sasuke that less confusing; at least to me. It's her love/obligation that makes her resolve. She owes it to him. To stop his pain, to help him; even if it's killing her to go through with it.
But she doesn't follow through because it felt like betraying his goal and her love for him.
I will not be looking at her false confession: that will be covered in the NS analysis.
I only have one thing to say about that: in regards to SS. It makes sakura's feelings for Sasuke look like an inconvenience. To the mission, to her duty and to her team, because it is. But not because it inconveniences everyone else: just her.
Naruto turns it into his goal. Kakashi owes Sasuke, the proper mentor he should have been instead of being lenient. Sakura lets her feelings get into the way of the mission time and time again. The false confession, too flustered to stop him or kill him. Almost giving up on him and risking the mission. Almost killed by him.. twice.
I'm not solely blaming Sakura but Naruto and Kakshi both could've taken themselves out of the situation and go around to deal with conflicting feelings much later. Kakashi stops being the designated jonin leader because he couldn't stop Naruto like Yamato can. Naruto went with Jiraiya to help with the Kurama's chakra and get stronger.
Edit: Okay. Maybe Naruto isn't the best example but both Sakura and Him have priblems when dealing with Sasuke.
They let Sasuke's abandonment be a learning experience. Sakura is the only person behind and still stuck in the past. Because it is something she desperately clings to. It's why she doesn't give up and why she tries a false confession; it's a normalcy she wants back.
.
The war is probably the only place I can play off after this point. Because it's the most interactions between them at that point. Sakura meeting Sasuke on the battlefield is like living a nightmare. The one place she didn't expect him to show up and he still surprises her.
But she still doesn't know him, not like before. Fighting with him again, side by side, instead of against; is a sign of trust she isn't ready but will do because it's her duty. But she probably wants to show off and show she may look the same but is a different person entirely.
I wish this is the path she took. Instead we see her quickly bring him back into her life and rejuvenate Team 7. It's a bittersweet/nostalgic moment; the climax before the battle. It's just like before. Before he left. Except it shouldn't. It's the last battle to determine all, they are about to die. I get that but there should be boundaries.
"I'm not here for you, I'm here to protect the Ninja alliance." Sakura should have said something along those lines. But it's a shounen battle manga, that doesn't talk about feelings, moving on. They have a lot to talk about and during the black period, it should be a process of healing.
Yes, I'm still on this scene. Sakura's love can be described as unconditional. She will always hold a torch for him. Because she cares for him and his goals. That is what she's made to be and I hate it.
It's consistent, supportive, and it's to help him. Unconditional can be made out to be parental or motherly but for Sakura it's an innocent kind of love. It's passionate.
Should I even go analyze the two attempted murders? I'd rather go over Sasuke's love.
Now Sasuke's love is a much more simple case compared to Sakura.
Sasuke doesn't love or accept Sakura's love until adulthood.
Because he's no longer a curious and hopeful child and is now a socially awkward adult.
Because he's no longer a curious and hopeful child and is now a socially awkward adult.
He doesn't know what to do with that.
He doesn't know what to do with that.
He doesn't know how to handle that. His whole life, full of vengeance and looking for answers. A single goal but now; he no longer has a drive. So he looks within himself and seeks atonement for his actions.
He stays busy because he knows he's going to have to answer her. He needs answers within himself to see if he can accept her love. He might not feel worthy or okay with her love, after all, he put her through hell.
I sincerely hope he begs for fucking forgiveness from Sakura after this whole shit show of shippuden.
If Sakura's love is unconditional then Sasuke's is appreciated. He's thankful to Naruto and Sakura, they didn't give up on him. It might not be pure, adult, lust, passionate, or innocent; But it is there.
I don't see the men being as self aware of their actions or feelings. In the sense that they don't feel guilty for their actions. Men and women justify it, they all have too. Because they are ninjas and it's at this point where guilt may not have a huge impact on them.
"To finish the mission." and "No matter what." It's these thoughts and feelings that make up their personality. To commit to something, to finish what you started without fail and with your life.
Regardless, Shippuden and Boruto both make a great point that Sakura knows Sasuke, Intimately and Fully. She took the time to understand his pain and hatred. She took the time to help him, even when he didn't want it.
Sasuke didn't do that for Sakura, he can barely accept her love and acceptance. The knowledge that someone loves him, is enough.
.
Sasusaku is a good ship that supports each other. Sasuke is greatful for Sakura's constant signs of affection, even if he can't accept them. Sakura looks to Sasuke as a goal, one she needs to find within herself. She envies his skill but doesn't let that stop her or let her become bitter towards him.
That's the bare necessities, the foundation. But it progresses into something horrible and I stop shipping at that point.
Edit: The clear reason to me, as to why Sasuke liked Sakura back, is because he admires her strength. The strength that saved him from his emotional darkness and inner turmoil.
At this point he allowed himself to stop wallowing in self pity and hatred and let her in. This is adult Sasuke, this is resolve for her. So he tries to love again.
If that last statement doesn't make sense, it's because of Itachi. That should explain enough, if it doesn't go to notes!

so I actually don’t remember seeing the Digimon Adventure profiles listed on this site before. :o
They look familiar to me - tbh they read a lot like character profiles as they might have been shown when Adventure was first airing. A lot of it’s right from the first 13 episodes. I have most likely seen these before, and I’m certain the mega fans out there have done these already, but still there were tidbits I’d totally forgotten about!
So even if this wasn’t that last anon’s request, I’m gonna translate them. At the very least, it’s a nostalgia blast!
Taichi:
He's a "I don't like studying but I'm up for all physical activity!" athletic young boy. He's the super active type whose his body moves faster than his mouth. Sometimes he overdoes it and fails, but he never lets it get him down, and optimistically leads his friends on with his inherent courage and energy. He's in the soccer club at his elementary school, where he is their ace striker in spite of being a fifth grader.
“Anyway, let’s go! It’s no use just waiting around here!”
Sora:
An energetic girl with short-cut hair. She doesn't wear skirts and always dresses boyishly. She's got great reflexes and made a "two top" formation with Taichi in the soccer club. But while strong-willed like a guy on the one hand, on the other she's sensitive and considerate of her friends, so she often winds up with a sisterly role in the ragtag group.
"Hey, don't just get all relaxed like that. I'm not going to take responsibility here."
Yamato:
A cool kid who does well in both school and sports. His parents divorced three years ago, and now he and his father are living together. Perhaps because he has a strong sense of responsibility and is overly serious, he tends to be a bit cautious during their adventure in the digital world. Maybe for that reason, he often gets into conflicts with intuitive Taichi. He’s also overprotective of his younger brother Takeru, who lives with their mother. His special skill is playing the harmonica.
“I’m saying we should wait and take stock of the situation for a while! Everyone’s tired!”
Koushirou:
A boy who’s always carrying around his notebook computer and whose number one hobby is using the Internet. He’s very inquisitive, and when he comes a cross a puzzle he becomes totally absorbed in trying to solve it. But when he becomes too engrossed he can miss other problems or dangers in front of him, so he sometimes offends people. He isn’t great with socializing and always refers to everyone as “-san.” He swears he’s bad at physical activity (but is he?).
“Maybe we can solve the mystery. What this world is, who you are...”
Mimi:
She's the number one prettiest girl in Koushirou's class. Basically, she's a soft-hearted, young lady-type who everyone likes, but having been raised in a wealthy family without any cares, she can be a little selfish and irrepsonsibile. She hasn't known hardship, so when something bad happens she has a bad habit of quickly crying about it and relying on someone else. To be plain, she's not very useful, but she has an innocent personality that oddly no one can hate.
"I hate this! I'm going home!"
Jou:
A reliable, serious honors student. Born into an elite family, his future goal is to enter a first-class university. He’s the oldest of the group, so he always feels an obligation to bring the others together as the leader. But due to his indecisiveness and lack of skills, the reality often is it’s emotions only that are spinning his wheels, and he looks like a fool to the others.
"I have to be be strong. I have to bring everyone together."
Takeru:
Yamato's little brother. Since their parents’ divorce, he’s been living with his mother. Because of that, he really adores Yamato, and believes that everything will be okay as long as his brother is here. Although his personality is kind and honest, sometimes he listens to Taichi over his overprotective brother and unknowingly annoys Yamato.
"Yeah! It's summer vacation, so I came to my brother's place to play!"
Hikari:
Taichi's little sister and the eighth Chosen Child. She was supposed to go to camp with the others and journey in the Digimon's world, but she had to stay home due to a cold and was the only one left behind in the real world. Usually she's very kind and cares about her brother, but when a terrible adversary appears she has an inner strength that doesn't waver.
"He's very kind, my big brother."
I’m gonna do the partner Digimon too, but only the bits that I haven’t seen much before, since usually it’s the same stuff regurgitated again and again.
Agumon: He (probably?) inherited his quickfire personality from Taichi, often fighting recklessly to protect him. But he's usually easy and carefree, and the other humans besides often Taichi treat him with friendship.
“I... I will protect Taichi!”
Piyomon: She likes to be coddled, and loves her partner Sora. Her personality is honest and she feels sad when scolded by Sora.  She's really not so good at flying, and always competes with Patamon who's at a similar level.
“As long as Sora’s here, I’m not worried!”
Gabumon: He acts tough around his fellow Digimon and humans, but inside he's quite shy, and never takes off his Garurumon pelt (so his real face is a secret).
(When someone tries to take off his fur) “Ah, don’t ever do that!”
Tentomon: His relaxed and friendly personality with everyone maybe makes a surprisingly good combination with Koushirou, who is not good at socializing at all. He keeps up a running commentary as if he knows a lot about Digimon, but there is some good information thrown in. For some reason he speaks in Kansai dialect.
"I’ve never seen a legend before, so I don't know."
Palmon: Her personality clearly shows her emotions and she tends to go at her own pace. Also the way she likes to be spoiled resembles Mimi a lot. Depending on her mood, she can emit different scents from the flower on her head, and she can extend her leaf-like arms to photosynthesize.
“That’s right. Feet that are like roots are great!”
Gomamon: When he gets angry, the red fur on his hair bristles... He's a rascal who meddles with everything he sees, so of course he plays around without really listening to Jou either.
"It's okay, when push comes to shove, I'll help you out."
Patamon: He is particularly amenable compared to other Digimon, and bravely does what he is told. He can fly using his ears, but only at one kilometer an hour, so walking is actually much faster.
“I can fly, look!”
Tailmon: Although it's hard to imagine it based on her cute appearance, but she can take out Greymon and the others light as bean bags... Perhaps because she was in command of the Digimon unit [under Vamdemon]. she sometimes speaks to her fellow Digimon in a commanding tone like a strong-willed older sister.
"My training was different from yours. Alright, let's go, Patamon!"

Excerpt: Novel IDOLiSH7 Ainana Academy
Novel: Sasaki Teiko
Character Draft/Illustrator: Tanemura Arina
Original Work: Bandai Namco Online
(C) IDOLiSH7
In the darkness, a phantom flower bloomed.
It was a digital art flower projected on a jet black wall as if ink was painted on it. In a space where there was nothing, a speck of emerald green light suddenly flashed. Shining young buds quickly spread, leaves flourished, and at the tips, seven flower buds--fleeting like the moonlight--grew.
As the flower buds grew, each took on a different color and soft flower petals gently unraveled.
Here was the recording studio of a web-distributed program.
The ones filming were the members of the budding idol group, IDOLiSH7.
It was the recording of the final episode of the mini drama "Ainana Academy".
"Ainana Academy" was a drama in which Yamato, who planned to control the school, joined with Sougo and Iori to confront Nagi, Riku, and Tamaki.
Bright lights were lit simultaneously. The camera crew was on standby.
At the cue to start shooting, against a background of faintly lit digital art flowers, Nanase Riku, dressed as a cheerleader in a white chouran with the sleeves tied with a red ribbon, raised his voice.
"I hate the darkness! I hate your darkness! That's why with the power of love, I will burn away all your hatred! I will not forgive you--"
A gentle and honest voice resounded throughout the studio.
At that moment, a warm and pleasant atmosphere spread all through the studio.
No fragments of hatred could be felt from the way Riku crisply shouted, nor his direct gaze. Instead, Riku was making puppy dog eyes.
Confronting Riku was Ousaka Sougo, who was wearing a cape like a vampire, and Nikaidou Yamato, playing a doctor in a white coat, whose face relaxed.
"...Sorry, Riku. I don't really feel hated by you. It feels like I'm actually being forgiven,"
Told Yamato, who was fiddling with the stethoscope hanging around his neck.
"Um."
"If you say it with more contempt, onii-san might feel it."
"Uh...um."
Yotsuba Tamaki, who was waiting behind Riku, snorted.
Riku stared at Tamaki who just made fun of him. Tamaki, a current high school student, looked really good wearing a uniform casually and stylishly.
He looked back at Riku and as if a switch was flicked, Tamaki began roaring with laughter.
Standing to the side, Izumi Iori made a face like he swallowed a bug. Iori was properly wearing a uniform buttoned all the way to the top, with glasses as accessories. Iori pushed up the bridge of the glasses with his fingertips, and sighed heavily.
However, the director could not be heard saying "cut." In other words, filming continued.
"I-I will not forgive you!!"
Quickly turning towards Yamato and Sougo, Riku said his lines once more, for good measure.
Right in the middle between Riku and Yamato, Izumi Mitsuki who was tied up and sitting with an apron on, looked over Riku with a nervous expression. Next to him was Rokuya Nagi, holding a glow stick and wearing a happi. Nagi crouched down, untied Mitsuki, and stood up.
"OH! Riku. Hatred doesn't suit us. Even if your partner is the leader of darkness. When our weapon is ready, you'll feel not hatred, but love. So, Riku--"
Nagi informed with a smile. Hair of gold and eyes of blue. Anyone would be fascinated by the beauty of Nagi, who came from a small country in Northern Europe.
"Let us sing."
"What?! A song?!"
Riku batted his big eyes.
"Yes. Because we are IDOLiSH7. Come on, music!!"
Nagi snapped his fingers.
Music began playing.
While they were acting out the mini drama, in the background, a paradise of digital art flowers started playing, each bud blooming.
"...I didn't hear anything. About this."
Riku opened his mouth flabbergastingly. It seemed that not only Riku but the other members besides Nagi didn't know to sing there.
Mitsuki was the first one to suddenly run off. He raised his hand in front of the camera,
"Does each person have a mic?"
And signaled to the staff. The members each picked up the mics prepared by the staff.
They automatically settled into their positions.
The intro ended, and Riku's singing voice resonated in the mic. His overwhelming singing ability and rich singing voice enveloped the entire studio.
At first there was a bit of confusion, but once Riku began to sing, everything was clear.
A sparkling singing voice that would drive away the darkness burst out, and Nagi said, "Good job," and gave a thumbs up with a smile, and took his turn.
While Sougo waved his jet black cloak, he made a careful step.
Mitsuki's petite body jumped according to the music, exciting the staff.
Tamaki's dynamic dancing drew everyone's gaze.
Yamato looked at Tamaki's dancing, and showed a daring smile.
The appearance of Yamato, who was twirling the stethoscope while casually singing, immediately conveyed that, "Come to think of it, this is a scene from a mini drama."
He made a gesture like he was acting in a play, and while singing and dancing, Yamato’s presence overpowered Riku and Nagi. Iori immediately reacted to Yamato's acting, and he forced his way in front of Yamato to support Riku. Yamato was instantly impressed with the ad-lib and smiled faintly.
The director's "cut" still could not be heard.
The studio was dyed in IDOLiSH7's color.
IDOLiSH7 was asked to appear on a web-distributed program two months ago.
The first member who heard about this was Iori, who heard it from Takanashi Tsumugi--a manager belonging to the talent agency, Takanashi Production.
Although Iori was an idol, he had confidence in his analytical ability, and assisted Tsumugi a lot. However, that Iori took on the role of Tsumugi's brain was a secret to everyone. There was fear as a current high school student, whether other members might show resistance to the youngest among IDOLiSH7 leading the group.
"A web-distributed program...?"
"Yes."
As idols, IDOLiSH7 was a bud that just sprouted. With hidden sparkling and shining energy, they are absolutely "real idols", but they're still rather unknown to the general public.
As for the reason they haven't made their break yet, it was obvious to Iori. They had too little exposure.
If you listened to their songs and saw their dancing, you would become a fan. That was the only ability and charm they held. However, there were almost no TV programs that invited the rookie idols IDOLiSH7.
During this time, an offer arrived at the agency for a variety program that would be distributed online, rather than on TV.
"That's right. I think it may be good to try this,"
Iori said, checking the terms of the request. However, Tsumugi made a surprised face.
"Eh? Really? But before, didn't you say you had a concern about doing online programs?"
While Iori discussed IDOLiSH7's future development with Tsumugi, she recalled what he formerly expressed.
"Yes. I said that. We are an idol group that attracted attention from online videos. The assumption that we are familiar with online distribution is correct. But..."
Because of an accident, IDOLiSH7 had to sing outdoors during a storm, and a video of that went viral and drew them a lot of attention.
Idols of the Internet age. The video circulated among people who liked and favorited it on social media. Spread without corporate promotion, the radiance of a new and fresh group called IDOLiSH7. That was one of our weapons, Iori thought.
But at the same time, he understood that this precarious position was a double-edged sword.
"On the other hand, if we rely too much on online distribution, there's a possibility we may develop an unwanted reputation. If I may say this freely--I don't want us to become 'cheap idols.'"
"Cheap...idols...?"
"Yes. It's a really subtle balance...but with one misstep, cheap idols will fail. Now is an era where anyone can post online. Amateurs can get popular by posting videos online, and they collaborate with companies to make videos. In that context, we must think of what it means to be professional idols. It isn't just about increasing exposure."
Tsumugi listened with a despondent face. Although Iori wasn't mad about Tsumugi's management, he sometimes caused her to make this kind of face. Her chest hurt a little.
"But...I think it's fine!! IDOLiSH7's singing and dancing are not cheap. You're the real deal. You're true idols. I know for a fact. I believe when people see you, they'll definitely understand!"
Tsumugi looked discouraged, but as soon as she bit her lip and took a deep breath, and her big eyes moistened, she turned to Iori and declared this.
Iori, taken aback, gulped. Because she said this with a puppy dog face without calculation--manager is scary.
"Of course,"
He replied immediately. Because Iori himself "knew" that IDOLiSH7 was the real deal.
The idol group that ran before them--TRIGGER--wasn't strong in variety.
Therefore, it was a good strategy to target the areas in which TRIGGER was weak.
Also--.
"This time, the web-distributed program seems to have a tight budget at this stage, so we need to tackle the project sharply. As for the film editor, a freelancer is better than a well-known one, but..."
He looked over the proposal, and checked the names of the staff along with the plan.
Before, Iori saw one of the names of the people involved with the filming in an interview online.
The name came up in a question about "interesting people lately" in the globally active, up-and-coming digital art group, Y-Classic.
He was a student who attracted attention in the art world for the stylish video he created as a hobby, which spread by word of mouth and became famous.
"I watched the video he made. In addition to his skill, his excellent way of showing the theme, the beautiful imagery, the quick tempo, and how it made you laugh, was understandably popular. If we find that kind of fresh talent and attract him to our program--isn't it okay to entrust ourselves to him?
Tsumugi stared in wonder and muttered, "I didn't know. There was someone like that in the staff."
"Our greatest weapon is Nanase-san's singing. If they hear our singing and see our dancing, the viewers will definitely understand that we are the real deal. Finally, if we make a corner showing our singing and dancing, along with the main point of the proposal, the mini drama ‘Ainana Academy’, I think the staff will surely challenge it and make something interesting. This job seems worthwhile."
"Understood. Then, I'll take accept this job!!"
Tsumugi responded energetically.
Five days later, the script for the drama arrived at the agency. A job for all the members of IDOLiSH7.
Within the group, MEZZO" already formed as a two-person unit, and Tamaki and Sougo had their CD debut, so their workload would further increase. Their responsibilities would grow, but even so, the two in MEZZO" were overjoyed.
In the first place, Tamaki and Sougo didn't have the slightest intention of only doing MEZZO". Rather, for the sake of debuting with IDOLiSH7 as seven people, they had been working hard to cut through as the advance guard, and clear a path.
It wasn't lip service; they were seriously acting with those intentions. Therefore, when the manager wanted to focus on IDOLiSH7's management and business, MEZZO" had a lot of work where it was just them alone.
At a small and weak agency, idols were being produced. They couldn't buy a car for exclusive use yet, so the two people in MEZZO" moved around by train. For the time being, they hid their faces with sunglasses and hats, and moved with their idol switch off. Even so, people who notice will notice, but they haven't yet experienced someone overbearingly talking to them and causing a racket.
However, Tamaki was disappointed in hearing "there's still quite a ways."
Tamaki stepped into the highly exposed entertainment world because he wanted to find his missing little sister. He had not revealed this reason to others yet, but he thought he always wanted to be more famous. He wanted to appear on TV a lot more. It would be good if his sister saw his existence.
Tamaki had his head in the clouds while he was riding the train with Sougo. They were sitting next to each other on an uncrowded seat. To the public, MEZZO" got along very well, but the truth was entirely different.
"Tamaki-kun, did you properly read the script?"
Sougo took the script out of his bag, and began reading it. It was also Sougo who put effort into remembering their travel times. He was serious. He was the type of person who thought what you ought to do today, you should accomplish today. It didn’t mean he was not serious. He always kept his eyes on the ball, which was why he was now only thinking of their next job.
"I'll do it later,"
He brusquely responded. Sougo slightly lowered the corners of his eyes.
It was unknown how many times it had been repeated.
The two have had similar back-and-forths many times.
Sougo looks very kind, and spoke with a gentle tone. With an atmosphere like warm spring sunshine, Sougo was basically always gentle and kind.
However--sometimes Sougo gave instructive guidance to only Tamaki. Tamaki was displeased with this.
"Since it's a job for the seven of us, we must do our best. We discussed this when the job came in earlier. The recording is the day after tomorrow. If we filmed separately, it would look unnatural, so we're doing it on a day when everyone can gather together."
It always felt like this. Sougo just gave Tamaki a lecture.
"Okay."
"To match our schedules, the staff hurriedly booked a studio. Everyone suddenly had to memorize their lines, and they were even individually practicing in the dorm."
"Soo-chan, did Mikkii tell you to be so loud?"
It was a mini drama about a school. Sougo was cast as a hot-blooded teacher.
Sougo was worried about how to act hot-blooded, so he consulted Mitsuki about various things. According to Mitsuki's advice, Sougo tried waking up the sleeping Yamato with a loud voice and took him along running, loudly interrupted Nagi who was proclaiming his love for ‘Magical Girl★Magical Kokona’, confirmed the schedule, and earnestly asked, "For the next job I want to raise my level of enthusiasm, so please watch ‘Magi★Kona’ with me. I will use it as a reference." Even if Nagi wasn't asked, he was always devoted to spreading the word of "Kokona's splendor". When Nagi realized, he had Sougo sitting in seiza in front of him while reciting "Kokona Love", while Sougo nodded with a serious expression vowing to "study a lot".
"What was that, practice?"
Sougo nodded with a troubled face at being seriously asked this..
"It was practice."
"It was noisy."
"...."
"Last night, Soo-chan was so loud, I lost motivation."
Sougo, deeply serious about "creating a hot-blooded role", approached Mitsuki for a consultation. At Mitsuki's advice, he gently laughed, said "I'll try," and straightened his posture. Afterwards was a rare scene of Sougo loudly waking up Yamato.
Sougo boldly challenged Yamato who easily brushes those things aside, and yelled from the pit of his stomach. Sougo did not usually raise his voice like this.
Yamato dodged with a, "Sou, are you drunk? Don't run around, sleep next to onii-san," and it ended in failure.
Mitsuki laughed at Sougo's failure and said, "Don't mind." Sougo replied "yes" with a serious look on his face. Riku, Nagi, and even Iori surrounded Sougo and let out a laugh at the gap between the endeavoring Sougo and the everyday Sougo,
At everyone's smiling faces, Sougo said, "Being hot-blooded is tough," and showed a bashful smile.
However, Tamaki could not laugh.
The inside of his chest felt prickly and unpleasant and hurt a bit.
When Sougo was around people other than Tamaki, he always gently laughed like a flower swaying in the spring wind. He did not get mad at anything Mitsuki said, and acted earnestly in accordance with Mitsuki's suggestions.
Sougo did not consult Tamaki, among other things. He did not rely on Tamaki.
Even though he knew he was unreliable, Tamaki still did not like it.
"Is that so. Sorry. So that I don't bother you, Tamaki-kun, I'll quietly practice in my room starting tonight,"
Sougo said with a troubled face.
He was bewildered by the apology. However, that wasn't it, thought Tamaki. Tamaki didn't want Sougo to apologize to him. But he also didn't intend to complain.
Even though he didn't say it was a nuisance--.
Did he mean to sound that way?
Sougo was good at extracting unpleasant words from Tamaki.
Tamaki got depressed at telling him to throw away his blunt words.
Sougo also got depressed being told that.
The two in MEZZO" were not good friends in the slightest.
Once again, the inside of Tamaki's chest prickled.
Sougo hid away the beaming smile he showed everyone from Tamaki, and the shutter in his heart made a loud sound and fell with a clatter. He pushed aside the feeling of "Today's smiles are out of stock. The store is closing now."
Sougo began reading the script fervently. Tamaki still felt like he wanted to say something, but he was irritated and without saying anything, he firmly pulled down the brim of his hat and closed his eyes.
So then, the recording of the web-distributed program started.
In the studio, each person was reading the script which was prior distributed, and Yamato who was wearing a costume, asked Riku,
"As I thought, isn't this look tight for onii-san? Wearing a high school uniform after all this time at the age 22 feels too much like a punishment."
One corner of the program was a mini drama--"Ainana Academy".
Somehow, Yamato was forced to wear a high school uniform. He wore a navy blazer, red necktie, and white button-up shirt.
"The size seems right. Yamato-san, it's a perfect fit. Where is it tight?"
Riku answered Yamato with a straight face, and looked over Yamato's school uniform from the front to the back.
Yamato didn't know what expression to make at being thoroughly examined, and looked to the sky.
Riku spontaneously burst out. Even if he explained his reason to Riku, he would not understand. Yamato pushed his glasses up and muttered.
"Mitsu, Sou, and even Nagi get to play teachers, so why am I playing a student..."
"Ah, I also thought something was strange. I wonder why I'm playing the youngest character. It feels weird that Iori and Tamaki are playing my senpais."
Yamato tilted his neck at Riku who was wearing the same school uniform.
"Oh. Rikkun is my kouhai?"
Tamaki, who was wearing a school uniform, asked Riku with the sense that he "just found out."
"Yeah. That's right."
"Oh."
"Yotsuba-san, incidentally I'm playing your classmate,"
Iori confirmed with Tamaki.
"Really? Okay."
Iori was also in a school uniform. He wore an armband that said "Student President" on his sleeve, and blackish green glasses. They were the type of frames that would look uncool depending on the person who wore them, but they fit Iori's fresh and neat look very well.
"Tamaki-kun.... You read the script properly?"
Sougo heard the conversation, and asked Tamaki worriedly.
Sougo wore a cool blue three-piece suit. The necktie was tied in a small knot, and he wore thin frame glasses. With silvery-green glasses adorning his serious-looking features, Sougo looked sharper than usual.
"Yeah."
"Not just read it, did you properly memorize the lines?"
Iori asked Tamaki to confirm again.
Sougo stared worriedly at the silent Tamaki. Tamaki, who was sensitive to people's emotions like an animal, noticed that Sougo was feeling anxious, and his chest prickled.
"Yeah."
Again, he made an uneasy face. Tamaki just made Sougo worry about him.
Mitsuki nonchalantly cut through the silent, awkward atmosphere formed between the two in MEZZO".
"Sougo's just like a teacher. Although he isn't hot-blooded. So math teacher-ish! If you were a calm and kind teacher, you'd be fine without having to practice for the role!"
Sougo made a troubled face at these embarrassing words.
"Mikkii is better than Soo-chan as a teacher"
Tamaki said softly.
"Really? Well, I'm also a teacher though. Of home economics"
Mitsuki's role as a teacher did not seem bad at all. He was wearing a necktie, but instead of a jacket, he wore a traditional knit sweater.
"...So why am I a student? Even if I wear a school uniform, I don't know whether I look like a student, so onii-san is really worried"
Yamato grumbled again. He was not seriously convinced.
"OH! Now that you say that, I am also really, really worried whether I look like a teacher! My elegance naturally flows out. My unparalleled beauty can't be thought of as of this world. I'm troubled about how to look like an ordinary teacher. There's no reality where such a beautiful teacher is in this school, so will any viewers complain?"
Nagi put his index finger against his cheek, and with a worried face, let out a sigh.
Was his wide-collared white shirt silk?
The sheen was clearly different from everyone else's shirts. There was no tie, and there was the impression that the suit was not ready-made, but an exquisite brand.
"Nagi's confidence is always impressive,"
Mitsuki had a distant look.
Nagi was pondering about something.
"It's fine because sometimes there are really beautiful and cool teachers,"
Riku said with sparkling eyes.
"It's fine if Nagi doesn't speak,"
Mitsuki continued.
"Really? But Mitsuki, I have dialogue too."
"Isn't it fine if you don't add OH or HEY to your lines, and avoid ad-libs and winks?"
Mitsuki sheepishly replied as if he had misgivings.
"But my role is a special English lecturer. 'OH' is in my lines."
"...OH......"
Mitsuki let out an "OH" from the bottom of his heart. Yamato laughed at the same time. Iori crossed his arms and furrowed his brows. Tamaki's expression did not change at all, while Sougo made a bewildered face. Riku grinned.
A girl ran towards them from the crowd of staff who were staring at them from a distance.
"...Um, excuse me. Can I take your picture? I want to take a group photo of you behind the scenes, and upload it to my blog for publicity."
"Yeah. ...It's fine, right? Manager?"
Mitsuki looked around, and asked for confirmation from Tsumugi who was talking to the staff.
After getting Tsumugi's approval, the costumed members of IDOLiSH7 turned toward the camera and smiled for the group photo.
On the other side of the camera, "kyaaa" could be heard from the women in the staff.
Nagi winked at the women.
Filming began. It was a scene where Riku, a transfer student who was late on his first day of school, was running to school with bread in his mouth.
Riku was running.
He was running--with a loaf of bread in his mouth.
Naturally a loaf of bread was not something you could just hold in your mouth, so he supported it with his hands while darting his eyes about. Looking like a small animal frantically putting food that's too big in its mouth, he put on a serious expression and filled up with motivation to run.
Everyone watching became rowdy. Even Tamaki, who was in a bad mood, burst into laughter.
"...Why is he running with a loaf of bread in his mouth? Is it this kind of scene?"
Sougo said incredulously.
"Sorry, it was my fault. It said in the script that it was a scene where he runs with bread in his mouth, so I bought some freshly baked bread,"
Mitsuki said.
Since it was freshly baked bread, it was not sliced.
"I thought about cutting it later, but I forgot.... It unexpectedly became an interesting scene..."
It won't block Riku's throat, right...?
In a sense different from being worried over his acting, all the members watched over Riku anxiously.
As Riku ran with bread in his mouth, he bumped into Iori at the street corner.
It was a clichéd opening scene.
Iori who was waiting across the street corner according to the script, looked considerably distressed at Riku's appearance, who was running at full speed with "a loaf of bread in his mouth."
Forgetting to act, Iori lost his bearings, made a surprised face, and came to a halt, and then Riku crashed into him.
Even though Iori tried to stop Riku who was protecting the bread, from falling, he bounced back, got his foot stepped on, and he pulled Riku towards his chest to support him.
The bread was sandwiched between them, and his face became mixed with astonishment and worry. Iori said,
"Isn't it dangerous? Why were you running with bread in your mouth without looking ahead? You--"
They were lines from the script.
"S-so...sorry."
Iori apologized to Riku, but they were positioned much closer to each other than it stated in the script, and although it wasn't a scene where they hugged, it looked like they were hugging.
In a panic, they suddenly let go of their hands. The chain of events reflected the odd innocence of a fastidious youth in the throes of puberty, and all the members watching the filming let out an "oh."
"Cut!! That was a good scene. Yup. You two were also good. It was different from the script, but your ad-lib was definitely effective. Let's go there. One take."
The director, in a good mood, clapped his hands.

Flame Chapter 10
Fandom:  My Forged Wedding

Vivienne woke up and felt panicked at the sight of unfamiliar surroundings until she heard deep, even breaths behind her. She turned and saw Yamato’s sleeping face, and remembered the events from the previous night. She wanted to stay in this bubble of bliss with Yamato and never leave. Was this the right choice? Was it okay that she gave in to her desires? She traced his face with her fingertips. He really is a handsome man, and he chose to be with her. Somehow that made her feel superior. She stroked his hair, so it wasn’t falling in his face. She looked down at his neck, and chest noticing she had left several marks on him. Vivienne was surprised she had lost such control that she had marked him in such a way. Did her passion for Yamato go deeper than she realized? As she memorized his face, his moles and the freckles underneath his eyes she wondered if this relationship would even work?  despite their lovemaking and the passion, they shared he deserved a woman that wasn’t so...unstable. Yamato inhaled deeply, and his eyes fluttered open, seeing Vivienne he smiled. “ Hey, you.” She smiled back at him, and he leaned in and gave her a chaste kiss on her lips. He moved her long hair to the side and saw the marks he had given her
“ Vivienne, I’m sorry. I think I lost control last night you look like you were attacked.” She looked at him and laughed “ You should see yourself, you’re probably just as bad.” He got out of bed and sauntered to the bathroom. Vivienne watched him walk across the room wearing nothing, and she admired the muscles in his back and shoulders as he walked. “ How am I going to go to work like this?” She got out of bed and joined him in the bathroom looking at her own marks. “Everyone’s going to figure it out Yamato.” He looked at her concerned “ Do you not want them to?” She looked up into his big brown eyes, swimming with uncertainty. She wanted to take that pain away, she realized she wanted to be with this man. No matter what she needed him in her life, she was drawn to him like a fly was drawn to light. “ I don’t want them to think I’ll sleep with just anyone. I want us to take things at our pace without interference from other people.” The side of his mouth twitched “ I don’t think we can avoid it, we look crazy.” She laughed and laughed hard “ I didn’t know Mr. Kougami was such a wild beast. What will your students think?” His eyes widened “ You could say to the girls that sometimes I like to get it on, and there was this girl I like. So we got it on. HAHAHA” He hit her head “ Are you crazy? I can’t say that I’d get fired! I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do.” She faced him and traced the marks she left. He looked at her with a blush dusted across his face. “ I’m sorry Yamato” He shook his head “ Don’t be sorry, if anything it makes me happy.” She knitted her eyebrows together “Why?” He grinned “ Because you return my feelings because you want me too.” Vivienne kissed his cheek, and turned around and searched around his condo for all her clothes. “ We should be together, you get that right?” He said as he put some boxers on. “ I get that we keep getting pushed together, no matter how much I push you away.” She sighed “ I want to be with you more than anything, but I’m going through some stuff. Some pretty serious stuff. I don’t want to drag you into my messed up life.” He walked up to her, and took her hands, and looked deep within her eyes and held her gaze as if he wanted to convey his feelings just by looking at her. “ Vivienne, I am ready for anything you have to throw at me. I will stand strong, and stay by your side. I’ll help you through whatever it is you’re going through, but you’ve got to open up to me and tell me what’s going on.” He kissed her on the forehead tenderly. “ I will not take no for an answer, we belong together. You know, it all started because I noticed how sad you were all the time and I wanted to cheer you up, but before I knew it my jokes became flirting and I was completely enamored by you. You took over my brain.” She looked away a blushing mess. He turned her head to look at him “It’s all true, and I know there’s something hidden deep within you, and I’m ready. Vivienne, I want to be with you regardless of your demons.” She blinked and tears welled up in her eyes. “ You’re a wonderful man Yamato, I can’t tell you yet. I’m not ready, but maybe soon I will be.” He smiled and kissed her lips. She looked down feeling awkward “ This is going to sound weird especially after last night, but can we take things really slow? I want to be with you Yamato, I just... I want us to work out.” He grinned “ I knew you’d cave eventually they embraced each other knowing they had a hard road ahead of them, but they had each other so it would be okay. Later that day Vivienne stopped by Long Island, wanting to see everyone. She saw Akito sitting with all the other boys at the bar, so she went over to sit with them. “ Vivienne, how was work? Takeo asked?” She smiled “ Oh, good I’m almost done with a big project.” Takeo took a drink and smiled at her “ It’s nice to see you smiling, did something good happen?” Yuta looked at her “ Where were you last night Vivi?” Akito asked sternly, and Yamato coughed. “ You never came home.” Vivienne didn’t know how she was going to get out of this one without everyone finding out. “ I went to the bar last night and ended up staying with a friend. I didn’t want to come home drunk.” Akito raised an eyebrow “ Call or text next time I was worried. Vivienne nodded “ I will, I’m sorry I worried you.” He patted her on the head “ It’s okay” He smiled Vivienne and Yamato started visiting Long Island every day just so they could see each other. They tried to meet early at the train station before anyone got to the bar, so they could be alone. “ Do you know how often I think of you, it’s very distracting.” Vivienne laughed “ I find my mind wandering during work, and it’s hard to get myself to focus.” He laughed and kissed her temple. He held his hand out and she interlaced her fingers with his. It felt so natural for them to hold hands like their hands were made for each other. It was on this day though that unbeknownst to them they were being followed. When Vivienne and Yamato got to the bar they separated and Akito came in minutes later and sat down next to Vivienne. After all the boys came in Yamato went over to watch baseball with them, and Akito passed a napkin over to Vivienne. It said, “ I know you and Yamato are seeing each other, why didn’t you tell me?” She felt like her heart stopped beating, and she looked over at Akito, and got up “ Let’s go home.” They said their goodbyes to everyone, and when Yamato said goodbye he had want in eyes. He wanted to kiss her, to hug her to touch her. While Akito and Vivienne traveled home, they were silent. Once they entered the condo, he looked at her crossed his arms and said “ Spill it” She took a deep breath. “ It happened the night after you and I had that big talk, Yamato and I ran into each other at the bar. He started asking me why we couldn’t be together, so we got into an argument, but the argument led to a kiss which led to ...um...other things.” Akito cleared his throat Did you and Yamato sleep together? She smiled awkwardly “ Uh..yes” Akito just about choked “ So you didn’t stay with a friend.” She sighed “ Well, technically I did.” He rolled his eyes “ Be serious Vivi!” She laughed “ Okay, sorry. Yes, Yamato and I slept together, that’s where I was that night. It only happened once though. We are taking things slow now.” Akito put his hands on her shoulders and smiled “I’m glad you finally see that you deserve to be happy. Maybe you are making progress. I’m happy for you Vivi I really am, but why are you hiding it?” Vivienne looked down feeling disappointed in herself. “ I don’t know, I’m just not ready to tell the others.” Akito cocked his head to the side “ Why? this is a good thing, they’d be happy for the both of you.” Vivienne looked at Akito with uneasiness written on her face. “ I know, I’m scared, Aki. I really like him and like being with him, but I am scared out of my mind.” He shifted positions to stand next to her and put his arm around her and led her to the couch. Once they sat down he looked at her dead in the eyes. “ You need to do this Vivi. Don’t let Yamato do it, you need to be the one that does it. The first step was accepting him and accepting your feelings for him, and now the second step is to make your relationship as ...lovers public. This is progress, Vivienne. A couple of weeks ago I don’t think you could have handled being in a relationship.” Akito thought of something that he hadn’t thought of before “ Does he know about us, I mean that we’ve slept together?” She looked at him dubiously. “ I’m sure he’s been with his fair share of women. I’ve been with you, I don’t think it should matter.” He cocked an eyebrow “ Tell him, trust me tell him. Sooner rather than later, but emphasize that we have a purely platonic relationship.” She was worried and drew her eyebrows together, and put her head in her hands. “ Ugh! Why is my life so complicated? Why couldn’t we have met before all of this happened to me? I wish none of this happened to me in the first place.” Akito felt a breakdown coming. “Vivienne, maybe you met him now for a reason. Maybe he’s supposed to help you in a way no one else can.” He rubbed her back as she cried into her hands. He took out his phone and texted Yamato, Akito: Vivienne needs you Yamato: Why Akito: Don’t act dumb I know about you two. Please come over, I can’t calm her down. Yamato: On my way “ I can’t do this Aki, I can’t act like everything’s okay anymore! Because it’s not!” She was getting more and more worked up “You just keep moving forward. You have things that matter to you. A job you love, a boyfriend. Friends that care about you.” Tears streaked down her face “ None of that matters, I don’t get to be happy! She was yelling “ Calm down Vivienne” Yamato was about to knock on the door when he heard her yelling and crying. His heart tightened hearing her in distress, and he knocked. “ Who the fuck is that?” Akito got up and answered the door, and in walked a worried Yamato “ It’s me Vivienne” She wanted to crawl in a hole and die “ Why Aki?”She looked at him with fury in her eyes. “ Because I can’t always control you, you get so worked up you become so emotional that I can’t calm you down.” She ran her fingers through her caramel hair. “ What’s going on?” Yamato asked curiously “ She’s having a panic episode” Akito answered, and Vivienne kept her head in her hands and started rocking back and forth to try to calm herself. Akito sat back down next to Vivienne and touched her shoulder lightly “ It’s okay Vivienne, I think it’s time you tell him about your past.” She finally looked up. Her eyes were red and puffy. “H-how, I only told you because I was drunk.” He chuckled under his breath “Yeah I know, but I think you’re scaring your boyfriend.” She looked behind her at Yamato who only had concern written on his face. “ So how’d you find out Akito?” Yamato asked “ I saw you guys at the train station kissing and holding hands. It was pretty evident what was happening.” Yamato looked over at a distraught Vivienne “ Well I guess the cat’s out of the bag and we don’t have to pretend around you anymore. Feels nice.” Akito got up and motioned towards the couch with Vivienne still rocking. Yamato nodded his head and sat next to her “ What’s going on Vivienne?” She didn’t answer, He touched her back lightly “ I don’t understand what you’re going through right now, I wish you’d tell me but that’s okay. He brought her to his chest and cradled her “ You’re going to be okay, I’m here for you okay. So is Akito and everyone else.” She finally looked into his eyes “ There’s my girl.” Akito brought her over a hot glass of tea “ To help you calm down. I’ll be in my room if you need me.” Yamato nodded his head “ I don’t know if I can do this Yamato.” He combed her hair behind her ear. “ I need to know what’s got you so worked up. I think It’s time I get to know.” She nodded, and he took her hand and squeezed “ I hope you don’t think less of me.” Yamato kissed the top of her head “ That won’t happen” she took a sip of her tea and took a deep breath “ The reason I want to take things so slow is because of my past because of what happened to me.” Yamato’s full attention was on her “ I was date raped by this boy I liked in high school.” He squeezed her hand tighter and he swallowed loudly “ Vivienne...” He looked at her apologetically “ I vowed to myself that I would never settle down after that, never have a family. I didn’t want a husband and I was perfectly happy with that. Until you and Akito happened. “ I started having these feelings for you, and I ignored them, I brushed them off because I was determined to be alone. I also never wanted to have sex ever again, that changed recently too.” She twisted the blanket that was on her lap “ Before you and I were together when Akito and I were first trying to become friends again, we got drunk and I told him. He wanted to show me that sex can be enjoyable.” Yamato’s heart thumped wildly “ Did you sleep together?” She looked down “Yes, but it was only one time and it was before we were together.” Yamato lifted her head “ I’m not mad so don’t get defensive, I understand why he did what he did. Besides I’ve been with other people. I do admit it worries me that you live with him though.” Yamato stoked her hair “ Nothing would ever happen Yamato, I have feelings for you not him, besides he’’s helping me by taking me to therapy and just being there for me. Yamato’s expression softened “Okay, doesn’t mean I’m not jealous.” She smiled ever so slightly. “ So that is the whole truth” Yamato smiled and kissed her softly on the lips “ Thank you for telling me finally, and like I said I’m not going anywhere. I’m here to stay.” Vivienne had made dinner and was waiting for Akito to get home. She was so tired she laid on the couch and fell asleep within minutes. She didn’t wake up until she heard Akito walking up the stairs, she opened her eyes momentarily and realized he had covered her with a blanket. “Aki?” He turned around when he heard her voice “ I didn’t wake you up did I?” She sat up and adjusted her outfit “ No, I didn’t realize I slept for so long. Did you eat?.” He smiled “ Yes, thank you it was delicious. You really should eat though too if you haven’t already.” He sat next to her “ Did you have a rough day?” She yawned and shook her head “ No, I’ve just been so tired lately but today was the worst I could hardly stay awake at work.” Akito messed up her hair by petting her “ I’m sure it’ll go away, just get some rest.” She smiled as he went back up the stairs. A few days while at work she wasn’t feeling like herself. She had a hard time concentrating on the project because of the dizziness and nausea she kept experiencing, not to mention the pounding headache from the halogen lights was not making things better. She sat with her head in her hands rubbing her temples “ You don’t look good.” She looked at her supervisor. “ Yeah, you’re pale, you should go home.” She looked at him “ I’ve got all this work to finish.” He smiled and squeezed her shoulder “ It’ll be waiting for you when you get back, now go home and get healthy.” She bit her lip “ Alright,” But as she stood up, she felt another dizzy spell coming on, and reached out for her desk but collapsed blacking out.

The third time Rin’s mace gets stuck in a tree branch, she wonders if it was entirely a good decision to let Kakashi make her Kindling profile.
There’s something to be said for quality screening, and the type of images one displays on their profile says a lot for who might be drawn to match. She didn’t even take a good look at her alias before they began their attempts to swipe through every enchanted being in their area. While Rin has always considered her taste in partners a little bit out there, it’s never been quite so literal before. One league back, she swears she heard the voice of a man yelling from above.
This better be a good date, Rin thinks, whacking some of the foliage out of her face.
“It helps if you go under instead of through,” says a voice behind her.
Startled, Rin turns around. “Tenzō?”
Partly obscured by the denseness of the woods, she sees her friend wave at her. “I didn’t expect to see anyone else here tonight.”
“Me either,” Rin says, bending and reaching out a hand to pull him forward. The forest seems happy to bend around him, twisting to make room for him to stand beside her. “You’re not Tobi, are you? There were a lot of masks and odd lighting choices.”
Tenzō’s eyebrows disappear under his face plate. “Tobi?”
“My date,” she explains.
He folds his arms, making a speculative noise. “Mine too,” Tenzō replies, narrowing his eyes.
“Sleaze, or trap?” Rin asks.
“What time is your date?”
“A quarter after the eighth hour.”
With a sigh, Tenzō declares, “Sleaze. My date’s at half past. A decent kidnapper would make sure his victims wouldn’t cross paths.”
Rin shrugs. “Doesn’t say much for his dating strategy either. How smart can you really be to meet up with so many dates at the same location? And who’d choose to be in these woods, anyway?”
“We’re here,” Tenzō points out with a dry look.
Grinning, Rin replies, “Yes, well, we think Kakashi’s handsome. No one ever said anything good about our taste.”
“I wonder how his date is going,” Tenzō muses, laughing. “Better than ours I hope.”
Rin’s smile fades as a heavy wind from the sky catches her attention. A great dragon bears down upon them, hurtling unevenly as if it has just grown its wings overnight. She raises her voice to be heard over the rustling trees.  “Definitely better than ours. Is it just me or does the cloak on that dragon look familiar?”
“Trap,” says Tenzō apologetically, as a set of claws wrap around his waist.
Tumblr media
“So… does he do this often?” Kakashi asks, carefully balancing the next piece on top of his tower.
The creature responds with a, “Be quiet, brat,” from beneath his heavy pile of robes. Kakashi suspects the garment is mostly for show. Whoever’s underneath shifts their weight too much to be all that big. But then again, the dragon had caught him off-guard, so perhaps his instincts are a little off tonight.
“You know, I might’ve come upstairs anyway,” Kakashi tells him. “If he’d asked me nicely.”
When no response is given, Kakashi continues, stacking piece after jenga piece by himself.
“That’s traditionally how the date thing is done. First conversation, then we decide if we want to spend the night together. He must be very out of practice.”
His companion mumbles something that sounds suspiciously like, “I don’t get paid enough for this.”
“We don’t need a chaperone,” Kakashi points out helpfully. “I promise. I’m a very respectful date… what did the other one call you? Kakuzu?”
His question is met with a groan of disapproval, which Kakashi takes to mean ‘yes.’ “Kakuzu,” he says, in the same reasonable voice he uses when tutoring his students, “You seem tired. Really, I’m fine here. Where would I go?”
He gestures to their surroundings. The single window has nothing below it but a moat, and there are no other points of entry. Kakashi’s thought of at least thirty plans of escape, and for twenty-nine and a half of them, he doesn’t like his odds.
“Listen, if it’s the money you’re worried about… I have some gold on me. It seems like we’ll be staying in tonight, anyway.”
Kakuzu’s posture shifts at the mention of payment. Bingo.
Kakashi throws his coin purse, and tries not to blink at the distinctly claw-like hands that grab it. His plans for observation go out the window with Kakuzu when he realizes his bodyguard is hoisting himself across the bricks with hundreds of thick grey tendrils attached to his body.
He sighs, and begins searching the tower.
If Kakashi had to guess the personality of the chamber’s owner based on his belongings, he wouldn’t know where to start. In the closet he finds at least twelve different shades of the same cape. Looking underneath the bed yields a startlingly life-like statue of a man cast half in black and half in white that Kakashi swears is winking at him. He moves onto the desk quickly after that.
The book he finds in it reads, in bold lettering, DO NOT TOUCH, which seems promising. There are dogs on the cover. That seems promising too.
Tenzō and Rin are probably laughing at me somewhere, he thinks, as he pulls it into his grasp.
The crash from the window is not nearly as disconcerting as the beam of blinding light that follows.
—
“That is not how you greet a date,” says Tenzō, affronted.
Kakashi gapes. “Tenzō? Rin? What are you doing here?”
Brushing himself off, Tenzō shrugs. “Being attacked by a dragon. Why are you here?”
“I’m on a date,” Kakashi explains. He looks at the cloaked figure still upturned on the floor. “With him, I think.”
Rin nudges Tobi with her boot. “You arranged a date with all three of us on the same night?”
Tenzō looks heavenward. “Is that really what we’re mad about?”
Rin and Kakashi look at each other, and then nod at Tenzō. “A little, yeah.”
“I, for one, would like to know who we’re dealing with,” Tenzō remarks, crouching down by their host’s face. He pulls a spade out from his robes, and prods him sharply in the side. When this elicits no response, Tenzō rolls the man over.
Two intakes of breath punctuate the motion. “Rin,” says Kakashi urgently.
“I didn’t know either,” she replies. Shifting forward, Rin places a hand on Tenzō’s shoulder. “I’ll heal him.”
Tenzō rises, glancing between his two companions. The room is silent but for the sound of Rin's healing magic and the slight creaking of the door. “You know him?”
“It’s Obito,” says Kakashi.
“Obito, your old and dead teammate? That Obito?”
“I’m not dead,” says Obito, sitting up abruptly with the aid of Rin’s healing magic. Tenzō yelps.
Kakashi feels a little lightheaded. “We need to talk.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reconciled to the fact this evening is going to make no sense at all, Kakashi extends a hand to Obito. After a moment of hesitation, Obito takes it. There is a warmth between their fingertips that Kakashi takes to be familiarity, until suddenly, where there was empty space, there’s a small dog that Kakashi lunges to catch.
“Well hello, are you lost?” Kakashi asks, once the puppy is cradled in his arms. The Chow Chow merely tucks itself under Kakashi’s chin, which is a better answer than he could’ve expected.
Tenzō elbows him, careful not to jostle the animal. “What, you’re finally showing us what your powers are? Right here?”
Rin levels him with a doubtful look. “I have a hard time believing you could make infinite dogs and you limited yourself to eight. Konoha should be overrun with wagging tails by now.”
Shaking his head, Kakashi replies, “I didn’t make him appear.” He pauses, looking at Obito. “At least, I don’t think I did? Obito?”
Obito’s eyes narrow, and then widen. “You read my diary,” he says suddenly, with surprising indignation for a man who has confessed to running a magical terrorist ring.
“Diary?” Kakashi repeats, adjusting his grip on the dog. When his fingers touch, there’s twice as many puppies in his arms as before. “You know what? It doesn’t matter. This is the best date I’ve ever been on.”
Grabbing the book still lying open upon his desk, Obito shows them the same cover Kakashi had been inspecting earlier. “Anyone who lays a hand on this journal aside from me becomes overwhelmed by beasts!”
“They do look ferocious,” Rin teases, scratching the second dog behind the ears.
Obito eyes the scene, uncertain. “Curses aren’t an exact science! The book knows what it’s meant to do.”
Tenzō steps closer to Obito, considering him. “If you’re so worried about what’s going to happen to Kakashi, then take the curse off of him.”
Obito hesitates. “Wizards... are supposed to stand by their principles.”
This time, it’s Rin who steps closer, boxing Obito in. “You don’t know how to reverse the spell, do you?” she asks, trying not to laugh.
“Curses aren’t an exact science,” Obito says again, defensively.
A groan echoes throughout the room from his former teammates. “Why would you use an enchantment you don’t know how to break?” Kakashi asks, while the dogs try to climb up his shoulders. Three, now, as he reaches out to steady one with both hands.
“If it stumps me, it should stump all of my enemies.”
Tenzō puts his head in his hands. “I hate that he’s starting to make sense to me.”
“It happens sometimes,” Kakashi says sympathetically. The long-suffering tone is belied by the puppy licking his cheek above his mask.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Obito asks, clearing his throat for the third time since they’ve arrived. “Doesn’t Minato-sensei have a family now? Should we really be bothering him with this kind of thing?”
“It’s not our fault you broke Kakashi,” Tenzō mutters under his breath. They’ve improvised leashes for the dogs out of some of his gardening supplies, and dogs, which now number four, are mostly under his rein, though they keep tugging forward to approach Kakashi. One dog remains in Kakashi’s hands, thankfully keeping them occupied.
Kakashi opens his mouth, perhaps to argue the point of this curse being so terrible. However, whatever he is about to say is interrupted by the door opening to reveal a blond man in robes that look they belong more at a discotheque than at a ritual.
“So, what brings you kids here?” Minato asks, smiling broadly. “It’s unlike you to come for a visit unannounced.”
Kakashi and Rin shuffle aside so their final companion is clearly visible. “Obito?” Minato asks, gaping.
“That is quite the problem,” Minato muses, a hand at his chin. “It’s not a spell I’ve ever heard of before. And you have absolutely no idea how to counter it?”
Eyes turn to Obito once more, and he shakes his head. Kakashi sighs. “We were hoping you would know, sensei.”
“I know a few general counter-curses, but I suspect they won’t help in this situation. They’re for less powerful spells, like warts, or being turned into a frog. That second one’s surprisingly common, you know.”
Rin’s brow furrows. “Then there’s nothing we can do? Kakashi’s going to need to use his hands at some point.”
“I didn’t say that,” says Minato, with a knowing smile. “It’s common for some magical beings to cancel out a spell by using one that uses the same underlying magic. So in this case, it’s possible for us to free Kakashi by finding a curse of equal measure. Did you know that my teleportation magic is derivative of a curse?”
“Isn’t dealing with unfamiliar curse magic what brought us here in the first place?” Tenzō asks.
Minato tilts the brim of his hat. “It all depends on the strength of the spell Obito used. If he used a spell that’s stronger than my curse, then we’ll have to look for another answer.”
“And a second curse was supposed to have helped?” gripes Kakashi, clutching his forehead. “Now I can’t control where I go! This can’t be good for the dogs.”
“Well, there’s one other solution to your predicament,” says Minato, with a pensive gaze. “True love’s kiss.”
Kakashi looks pointedly at the ceiling. “If I were in love, why would I be on a dating app?” he asks, aware of four separate gazes on him. Well, eight, if he counts the dogs.
Minato shrugs, raising his hands in surrender. “I’m not saying you are, I’m just saying that it’s a method to break a curse.”
“Have you ever tried it?” Obito asks skeptically.
With a pointed look, Minato rejoins, “I usually memorize the counter-curse before I try out a new spell, Obito.” The younger man reddens, and glances around the room like the criticism might be directed at someone else. Minato stifles a laugh.
“You should try, Kakashi,” Rin says decidedly. “It’s better than not doing anything.”
Kakashi makes a startled noise. “Who are you suggesting I kiss?”
She shrugs, and gestures between her, Tenzō, and Obito. “Take your pick.”
The range of expressions Kakashi manages to convey with only his eyes in that minute is thoroughly impressive. His eyes linger on each of them, before he shakes his head. “I’m not going to choose between my friends,” Kakashi says firmly.
Obito huffs. “Then I’ll do it,” he says, reaching for Kakashi. Kakashi looks at him in him in surprise. “I broke you, I should fix you,” Obito adds, with a wry look at Tenzō.
Kakashi sighs. “I suppose I can’t argue with that.” Flushing, he adds to Minato, “Can you…?” Dutifully, Minato turns around and covers his ears.
He lets Obito pull him closer, and adds to Rin and Tenzō, “Hold onto us. If this doesn’t work, I don’t want to end up stuck in Minato-sensei’s ceiling.”
And so, with Tenzō at his back, and Rin at Obito’s, Kakashi closes the gap between them. With his lips brushing Obito’s, he reaches blindly for one of the hands at his side, and smiles when nothing happens.
Then, the ground is pulled out from under them.

“What happened to Obito and Tenzō?” Kakashi asks, trying to peer around the pumpkin.
A very loud, familiar voice, echoes through the room. “I’m Tenzō,” says the pumpkin, and Kakashi and Rin nearly jump out of their skin.
Carefully, they make their way to the other side of him. Sure enough, as if he were a jack-o-lantern, there is a vague impression of their friend’s features, along with a tuft of brown hair. The small frown is so characteristic of Tenzō that for a moment, Kakashi feels more normal and at ease than he has all night. Unwittingly, he imagines Tenzō in his own garden, and tries not to laugh.
“It’s not funny,” says Tenzō, even though it is.
Rin reaches out to pat his orange cheek. “Well, you make a cuter pumpkin than Obito did a dragon.”
“Hey!” a muffled voice interjects, offended.
Rin steps back to inspect the scene, trying to place the source of the sound. “Obito? Are you in there too?”
“Not quite,” Kakashi observes. He gestures towards the wayward limbs and messy hair sticking out under Tenzō. “Are you alright under there, Obito?”
Obito groans. “I’ve been better,” is his flat reply.
“Is anyone going to try to reverse this spell?” Tenzō demands. “I can’t exactly double up on curses like this.”
“Obito’s lips might already be touching some part of you,” Rin says with a giggle.
Kakashi can’t hold back his smile. “I think it might need to be his face, Rin. Stay there, Tenzō,” says Kakashi, like Tenzō’s not occupying fifty percent of the room.
Pulling down his mask again, Kakashi aims his lips at what he hopes represents Tenzō’s head. Where he touches, it glows, and he can’t tell if it’s the magic or what it looks like for a pumpkin to blush. Through another burst of light, the rough texture of the pumpkin is replaced by Tenzō’s warm skin. Definitely blushing, Kakashi notes, as he hears newly-warped buckles and accessories from Tenzō’s stretched clothing hit the dungeon floor.
When Tenzō recovers his voice, he says, with a hint of orange still in his cheeks, “The first one of you to make a gardening joke is being left in the dungeon.”

Digimon Related Stuff
I’ve wanted for a long while to write a few opinions I had about Digimon Adventure and Zero Two, specially about the ending. I’d love to read other people opinions as this one is just mine and we all can have different ones. ( I’m not talking about Tamers, but Tamers were even better in some mature and emotional stuff.) I know that it’s a bit useless as I can´’t change anything but I just wanted to write them, and now that Last Evolution Kizuna and the new series are announced I thing it’s a good time. I’m a bit worried about the new series as it seems to be a new story with same characters or something like this and I didn’t like when it happened to other series like Inazuma Eleven, in which it seemed that the characters were for fanservice and the nice development and story they had in the original was lost. Anyways Digimon is part of my heart since day 1 and I’ll see it and I hope I’ll be delight with the new stories.  In my opinion Digimon Adventure was wonderfull, being a child show in that time it talks about some important stuffs, and it has a depth that even if it could be more explored it’s fine as it’s aimed for children and me, as a child, found it great like it was. Like Doremi, I’m amazed about how in both series it’s shown different kind of families and relationships, someones being helthy and others not so much. And also the reactions to death, a dead brother, dead friends... dead Leomon once again and to the weight of responsability that makes Taichi lost confidence or Sora almost in the end of Adventure had a big depression. And in Zero Two BlackWarGreymon looking for who he is, that’s really interesting, BlackWarGreymon was one of best characters to me. Going back to families, in Digimon we have divorced parents, adoptive parents, strict parents, absent father, sick sister and more, and it’s said about how it makes their children act. And what’s best in my opinion is that these parents (most of them) get involved in the story and help their children fighting the bad digimons, each one as they can. Yamato’s father, Sora’s mother and Koushirou’s parents are the most involved. While the others give their support as much as they can. But in Digimon they don’t need to “kill the parents” to give freedom of moving to the children, parents help as much as they can, sometimes just being sure they eat enough. And improving their relationships with their children. About Zero Two, while a lot of people didn’t like it and myself find Adventure better, is also a good series. They had other issues, I think it’s more focused in siblings that in parents but also in the “who I am” as I said with BlackWarGreymon. Who I am is a topic that appears all the time and that every main character has to overcome, altough Ken and BlackWarGreymon take more time and importance. Also Daisuke is a sunshine boy, he was ready to die for his friends in the beguinning. And then it come the epilogue, and well, I didn’t like it, as many people. I’m not salty about it, the characters aren’t us, but some of the things that happened were like... “why”. And this could haven been answered along the series to not be so shocked. I’m going to talk about the chosed jobs for each child. When I saw the first time the epilogue I only understand the reason for 4, the others were truly unexpected. Taichi [8/10], as a child I dislike a lot his job but now I can understand why it’s important for him. He is the ambassador of Digital Work. I think Sora would fit this job too, but Taichi is the Leader so it’s okay. I only would like more if they focused it in Taichi and Agumon being the spokespeople of Digimon wih Children and other Digimon being the spokesmon of the Digimon without Children. And do you know how could have been? Leomon. So ending picture of Taichi and Agumon shaking hands with Leomon about agreeing some important stuff. To me it’d have been perfect.  Yamato [0/10], this one was the most unexpected in a bad way. I didn’t understand why or how Yamato ended as astronaut. Like... cheff? ok, musician? great, Taichi’s right hand in gobernment? amazing. Astronaut?... hell no. But I supposed they had their reasson altough I can’t understand it yet. I would have like if Yamato would have being side by side with Taichi, being the second man with Gabumon being the second Digimon. Or being the headmasters of an organitation to help Digimon that enter Human World by mistake to go back to Digiworld. Also continuing with the Music Career would have been amazing. A group with Humans and Digimon maybe?  Sora [4/10] I didn’t like Sora’s work at all either. In Tri they try to give a reason behind it but... Not enough. Trough the series Sora is portrayed as a strong and indepent woman but most important also Leader and Sportive. I’d have like if she would continue with something sportive. Yes, it can be a Hobby, but even if it’d have been good developed I’d have like more if she continued with her mother’s Ikebana’s tradition.  Koushirou [10/10] What else could have he been? Just perfect to him. I’d also have like to see Wallace and Miyako working with him, but Koushirou’s focusing, just perfect. Mimi [2/10] How a girl who adds sugar and cream to a fried egg endep as Cheff? Mimi culinary’s art are shown in the series (even in Tri) as horribles. But as a little kids Teacher... I think this job suits her more than to Hikari. Mimi is caring, with a gold heart as it’s seeing her growing from being selfish to being really sweet. I’d have like that Mimi would become a Teacher and Teaches the importance about living with Digimons. Jyou [10/10] Same that with Koushirou, this rol just fits him so much I couldn’t see him being something different. He started not wanting to become a doctor, but trough the series and seeing how his friends become injured and even dying, he changes he mind. It’s good developed in the series and I liked it a lot. Takeru [7/10] I didn’t like but also didn’t dislike, I’m neutral about this. I didn’t know what I could like for him better as it’s not showed anything. Maybe something that can help agains evils? But writing stories can be a good way to do too. Hikari [7/10] She said she wanted to become a teacher and she did. But with her character I would see her more being a Reporter. She likes the truth, enlight the things and it would have been a good way to do. But I’m fine with her being a Teacher just because in canon it’s said it was her dream. Daisuke [?/10] I just don’t know how to feel. Same that with Hikari, he sais it was his dream but... I found it so strange that Daisuke wanted to have a Noodles’ Restaurant. I think they should have explained why in canon. Just that. Miyako [2/10] I understand being at home as a house keeper is important but she had so much potential with informatics, she could work as a programmer from home or something like that. I also didn’t understand why she married Ken... like she couldn’t understand him at all, I always found Miyako crush on Ken strange and not really healthy, but well... I hope in Kizuna this would be good developed.
Iori [10/10] He was another one I really liked, I loved how he went from being so hard with “good or evil” to understand that maybe villains aren’t so bad and that they can be helped with compassion. It’s the one I like the most, because Jyou or Koushirou were easy choices, but with Iori, I was surprised to good. Ken [10/10] I also like this one a lot, he did bad in the past, he knew he did bad and then he tried to do good because it’s his life and his way to make the world a better place. Being a Police to help others with everything. I liked, I liked a lot it. And these are my opinions, I don’t know if someone would read them but I just wanted to share them! And as I said, I’d love to read other people’s ones, specially abot what everyon would have like them to work as adults? Just tell me!

[IDOLiSH7] DUSK TiLL DAWN (Story Translation 3)
Tumblr media
*Note: This is a Chinese-to-English translation using the official Chinese translation from the TW server! There’s a small chance that some phrases may differ slightly from the original Japanese text due to different wording and localisation, but overall there shouldn’t be too much of a difference so probably nothing to worry too much about xD
CHARACTERS: Iori: Io Yamato: Yamarson Mitsuki: Mick Tamaki: Tamathony Sogo: Somas Nagi: Nagistopher Riku: Rictor
(I will include the characters’ names in brackets even if they haven’t revealed their names yet, because it would just be too confusing otherwise. I recommend having the game story open as you read so you get a better feel of the characters’ actions and expressions, since I won’t be indicating them here ^^)   ---
STAGE 3
20:30
Tamathony: If we rush down this path in one breath, we’ll get to the underground subway!
Io: Woah…! There are monsters approaching from behind…!
Mick: Don’t look back! Just run!
Yamarson: Huff, huff…
Somas: That monster really was slow.
Io: What?
Somas: It really had the feel of a zombie, amazing!
Io: What are you still being happy about at a time like this!
<ROAR>
Yamarson: Oi, we’re being surrounded…! What do we do!
Mick: Ah, wait for me for a moment! I’ll bring out the secret weapon now! You guys block your ears…!
<CRASH CRASH CRASH>
<ROAR>
Mick: Okay!
Nagistopher: Mick. Throw it to the enemies here, too.
Mick: Okay, Captain! Ah, oh no, my hand slipped…!
<BAM BAM BAM>
Somas: Wow~! So cool…!
Rictor: S-So amazing… Not only shooting down a grenade, but also hitting the Gathereds…
Mick: That’s our Captain!
Nagistopher: Mick, that’s the seventh time you’ve done that since this term.
Mick: Eh, did I do it that many times…?
Yamarson: Woah! What’s that! Siren head!?
<ROAR>
Io: There’s no end to this…! Just how many are there! Somas, there are monsters over on your side!
Somas: Woah…!
Yamarson: Dammit, we were just a little away from the underground subway, and now I have to fight with this little knife…!
21:00
Io: Huff, huff… We finally managed to get to the underground subway.
Mick: It’s so quiet…
Io: It’s missing the breath of humans, this place makes me feel uncomfortable…
Somas: There’s not only a strange fog, but also lots of dead mice.
Yamarson: Sigh… Are we really going to go through a place like this to get to the lab?
Rictor: Sorry, taking this path is the quickest, and the safest. There’s a hidden passageway up ahead; even among those in the lab, only a small number of people know about it.
Io: Why do you know about this passageway? Didn’t you say you were a basic-level employee?
Rictor: … The doctors told me. People like me who were born in the lab rarely go outside, so they told me so that I could use it in case something happens… The doctors have always treated me well, trying their hardest to make sure I don’t feel lonely.
Mick: You say you were born in the lab, meaning that your parents are those two doctors?
Rictor: No, the doctors are the doctors. I don’t know who my parents are… Woah! Ouch.
Io: A-Are you okay?
Rictor: Mm, I’m okay… It’s too dark, so the view isn’t very clear…
Io: Rather than saying it’s too dark… why not say that it’s because you’re wearing that mask?
Rictor: Eh?
Io: Alright, stand up. It’d be better to take off that mask.
Somas: Eh! He feels really strong and cool wearing that mask, is he going to have to take it off?
Mick: Io is right. Bad vision could be fatal! If you don’t want to become a part of those guys, take it off.
Rictor: … But… is the air here okay?
Mick: Air?
Rictor: It must be really dirty…
Io: He seems to have been taught to wear that antivirus mask whenever he goes outside.
Tamathony: Is that so? Then isn’t it really bad that we aren’t wearing masks?
Mick: Not at all… Seriously, what kind of education did you receive. Rictor, the air here is fine. If there were any problems, we’d all be dead ages ago.
Rictor: Th-That’s true… I understand. Huff… It was so uncomfortable just before.
Mick: What, you’re still just a kid! Are you really a researcher?
Rictor: So mean! I’m a true adult through and through…!
Tamathony: Mick doesn’t really have the right to say that.
Mick: Ah? Did you say something just then?
Tamathony: No~ Ah… hey, we’re gonna continue ahead, right?
<ROAR>
Rictor: Woah!
Yamarson: Oi oi oi, just how many are gonna come…!
Tamathony: There are so~ many. It’s basically peak time.
21:45
<BAM BAM BAM>
…!
<ROAR>
Io, Yamarson, Somas, Rictor: Huff, huff…!
Mick: Just how many are there! You guys, don’t get surrounded!
Nagistopher: Get on the subway tracks!
Tamathony: Hurry up! Run, run!
Yamarson: Urgh…
Somas: Yamarson!!
Yamarson: Huff, huff…
Rictor: …! Just as I thought… you’ve been infected, right?
Somas: Infected…!?
Rictor: Your complexion has been looking pretty bad, and you have symptoms of a fever. And… your eye is already showing early signs of an outbreak…
Io: I-It’s shining…!
Tamathony: Is this for real…
Yamarson: N-No! I haven’t been infected! I…!
<CLICK>
Yamarson: No… please no! Don’t dispose of me!
Rictor: P-Please wait! He hasn’t broken out yet! We can still make it, we can save him if we have the vaccine that the doctors made!
Mick: … But we don’t even know when he’s going to break out!
Rictor: In any case, give him a painkiller first…!
Tamathony: Hey…!
Rictor: Yamarson, please eat this first… This is a new medicine, but I think it’ll work.
Yamarson: Urgh…
Io: Can he really be saved?
Rictor: Yes… As long as we give him the vaccine before he breaks out.
Yamarson: …
Mick: Sigh… Listen carefully, bringing him with us means placing everyone in mortal danger. Do you understand?
Rictor: I-I understand… But, he still has a chance to be saved.
Somas: … Um~
Mick: What is it?
Somas: Sorry, but I thought of a common trope in movies. If we kill our comrade now, it’ll raise a death flag for another person… We all went through so much to make it here, so I think it’ll be better if we get to the end together. If we can save Yamarson, acquire the vaccine, and everyone lives on, then it means we win. It’ll be a happy ending!
Io: You’re saying this kind of stuff again! I told you we aren’t filming a movie!
Somas: But…
Io: There’s never a good outcome when I listen to you, I’ve lost count of how many times…!
Somas: I-Is that so…?
Io: Did you forget? Something happened when we were in middle school…
Somas: Woah! Do you have to mention that thing now!?
Io: Anyway! You always act on a whim, never considering the outcome! … But…
Somas: …?
Io: If possible, I also hope we can all live on together!
Somas: Io…!
Tamathony: Hey~ Are you guys done yet~
Somas: Ah… sorry.
Mick: Captain! … Ah, it seems that there’s no need to ask, you’ve already made your decision, right.
Nagistopher: Yes, it’ll be fine as long as we keep a close eye on him during the journey, simple as that. Let’s hurry up and keep moving.
Mick, Tamathony: Understood!
<ROAR>
Rictor: !?
Io: What is it this time!?
Somas: So loud… Is it the roar of something…?
Mick: Something’s coming…! Everyone prepare for battle!
<CLICK>
<ROAR>
22:30
<ROAR>
<BAM BAM BAM>
Tamathony: Oi~ What’s up with this guy, he’s super strong~!
Io: My arrows are getting absorbed…!
Tamathony: It’s so hard to grasp whether its body is hard or soft!
Mick: Anyway, just take it on!
<BAM BAM BAM>
Rictor: I-It’s no use!
Yamarson: It’s can’t be…
<ROAR>
Somas, Rictor: Woah!
Io: Somas! Rictor!
<ROAR>
Tamathony: If we keep this up, more and more of them will gather!
<BAM BAM BAM>
Yamarson: Urgh…!
Rictor: Yamarson!
<BAM BAM BAM>
Nagistopher: Tamathony.
Tamathony: What~ Captain! I’m a little busy at the moment.
Nagistopher: You take everyone to the institute.
Tamathony: What!?
Mick: We’ll be wasting too much time if we’re all stalled here!
Tamathony: But, will you two be okay!
Mick: Please, did you forget who we are!
Tamathony: … Got it!
Nagistopher: We leave it to you over there.
Tamathony: Mm! Leave it to me!
Mick: We’ll be depending on you! We’ll catch up very soon!
Io: … I’ll stay behind too.
Somas: Io! What are you saying…
Io: It’s not like me to continue receiving help one-sidedly.
Somas: That may be true, but it’s really dangerous! It’s not like you to be so reckless!
Io: I’m very calm. Also…!
<SHOOT>
<ROAR>
Io: I can cover for them from afar!
Somas: But…!
Mick: You’re pretty good, huh! Alright, then Captain and I will fight that big one. We’ll leave the surrounding Gathereds to you!
Io: Alright! I understand!
Somas: Io!
Io: Did you forget about my skills!?
Somas: … Of course I didn’t forget… You took three consecutive wins in the World Archery Championships’ Junior Division! Right!
Io: That’s right! Having me go against those weak ones is way too easy!
Somas: … I understand. But don’t push yourself too hard!
Io: That’s my line. Leave this place to us, you guys quickly go ahead!
Tamathony: Why is he giving instructions.
Somas: Io is the student council president! So cool, right!
Tamathony: Then, Captain~! We’ll go on ahead~ Mick, don’t die~
Mick: I’m not gonna die!
Nagistopher: Alright, let’s clean up these guys.
<ROAR>
<BAM BAM BAM>
Nagistopher: Your opponent is here.
Mick: I’m already gearing up…!

Want him home (Vergil x reader)
I was tired for every second I wrote this, I don’t know how good it is, but if someone here enjoys it, then its good enough for me! (Also, again, AU where Vergil isn’t dead *wheeze* I just want him back)
Vergil goes missing, everyone is sad
You lay numb in your bed. Long having run out of tears. The blue sheets never seeming to warm without him. Vergil was missing now for a week. Dante had assured you the job would be simple. Vergil had assured you the job would be safe. He would come back in a day or two. In the privacy of his room, he gave you a last kiss. His unspoken way of proving his love to you. Then Dante came home alone. He avoided your eyes, and when Vergil didn’t walk through the door scolding Dante… You didn’t get many details. Not that you wanted them. You just wanted Vergil.
The door to the shop opened and you could hear Dante mumble something before the door closed. You weren’t going to sleep tonight. That wasn’t new. You had only been sleeping when it was halfway through the next day and your exhaustion would cause you to pass out wherever. Slipping on one of Vergil’s sweaters you headed into the downstairs of Devil May Cry.
On the couch sat a very familiar raven-haired hunter. Lady peeked up from her book and sighed as you walked past. Flipping on the electric kettle you grabbed a mug and tea bag. There was shuffling from Lady as she turned off the kettle and drew your hands away from the cup,
“Go to sleep.”
“I can’t.”
“Bullshit.” you couldn’t even form a laugh. Lady sighed placing a hand on your back,
“You’ve got Dante worried sweetheart, and I won’t lie, I’m worried too. Everyone is worried. I understand you’re hurting, but wallowing in misery won’t help.” you knew that. Every time you felt the emotions bubbling up you couldn’t help but curse yourself. You held your breath. The same feeling creeping up your throat. You buried your head into the black sweater. Trying to block out the oncoming sob with tender memories. Lady tightened her grip into a hug. The memories did nothing and you held in a sob. You cried into Lady. Words tumbled out of your mouth, but they were too garbled to understand. It was a while before you stopped, but when your sobs turned into whimpers, and your eyes began to close. Lady sighed walking you back to your room. You could only mumble one last thought before the exhaustion of the week of misery caught up to you,
“I want him home.”
Dante punched a building. The brick curved inwards as he pulled his hand back. He’d been so stupid. His gut screamed that something was wrong. But the idea of quick cash… He growled placing his hands in his pocket and sulking. At night he could hear you cry. At night he could hear Vergil yelling at him,
“Dante! Get over here!” Vergil would never admit it, but Dante heard the fear in his voice. He sighed as he walked around. He had no idea where the thing had taken Vergil. A part of him hoped that it had just gone to another part of the city. But he looked everywhere, and he couldn’t sense his brother. Vergil had been wary of the entire mission. He managed to dodge the demons ambush attack, but Dante didn’t. So Vergil attacked, freeing Dante and leaving himself open. Ducking into an alley Dante slid to the ground. Burying his face into his hands, Dante sat alone in the dark. This was his fault.
Vergil groaned his eyes burning as they focussed. He remembered the fight only barely. Red clouded his vision and he felt numb. Something had grabbed Dante… then he? The buzzing ambience of the room blared in his ears. Muddled voices floated behind him. Something closed around his neck and began to choke him. He was confused as black dots clouded his vision. The tension released and he coughed. He let his eyes focus and grimaced at the scene before him. Blood covered the ground, seeming to have come from him. Blank stone walls stared back at him as voices spoke in hushed tones,
“Why doesn’t he speak?”
“Master won’t like that…”
“Wake him. Wake the half-breed.” He coughed out blood that had collected in his mouth and growled,
“Who the hell are you, to call me that?” There was a hiss as something seared his back. He held back a scream,
“Hush seed of sin. Where is the sword?” He huffed saying nothing. The burning sensation cut into his skin and he clenched his teeth. The whispered voice growled into his ear,
“Where is the sword?”
“I thought you said, hush?” Normally he wouldn’t be as petty as this. But you try saving your idiot brother only to be tortured. Torture that -much to Vergil’s dismay- lasted for what felt like hours.
His body burned and the chains holding up his wrists cut into his skin. Coat and shirt cut to hell, he tried to move, all of his energy drained. He’d been moved to this blank bloody cell a while ago. He wondered how much time had really passed. His refusal to scream left him weak and constantly passing out during the torture. They never changed their question. Vergil had no idea what sword they were talking about. A sickening voice grated on his ears,
“The Dante boy looks a little different from the descriptions we got… Surely we didn’t grab the wrong one…” Vergil saw two demons, they looked almost like Mephistos but their vaguely human heads covered in bandages left him unsure. The other spoke much softer,
“White hair, an aura like you wouldn’t believe. Incredibly strong and quick-witted, this is the one.” Vergil hissed loudly wriggling his torso as his legs still refused to move,
“Let go of me you wretches.” they turned to him. The one that sounded like nails on a chalkboard pulled out a pure white feather grinning,
“Hello, seed of Sparda! How do you like the lashes we gave you? Finding it difficult to move?” Vergil could feel his legs again, though weakly. He shook his head. The demon laughed,
“So brave… Too bad our master wants all obstacles gone. Well, I hope you liked the treat our friends gave you! I’ll be giving it to you again! Open wide filth!” Vergil tensed feeling his power rush through him. He waited for the demon to float closer before pulling as hard as he could on his restraints. With a snap, the chains holding his handcuffs broke. Forcefully his hands slammed onto the creatures head. He warped to the corner of the room, much to his delight Yamato sat waiting. Stumbling he picked up the blade and promptly summoned swords. The creatures shrieked charging at him. He weakly threw up spiral swords and warped past them. He didn’t know where he was going and he was blinded by pain. But one thought and one thought alone kept him moving. You.
Vergil stumbled blindly, you on his mind. He didn’t know how much time had passed. Were you okay? Was Dante taking care of you? Vergil felt sick, he hated thinking of you without him. He hated thinking that he didn’t even say he loved you before he left. Yamato buzzed in his hands. The sword wanted something.
Vergil could remember the voice in the sword. He would listen to its every beck and call. But one day the sword fell silent. Its energy still gave him clues, but there was no verbal communication.
Hearing screeches in the distance Vergil found a crevice to hide in. He huffed feeling himself slowly heal. Whatever he’d been hit with hurt. Whatever they did to him was severe enough for his healing to be delayed. Yamato buzzed again. Vergil coughed, his chest felt tight. He shrugged angrily,
“I don’t understand you, stupid sword.” Clattering to the ground, Yamato turned so the tip of its blade faced a long hallway. Quickly ducking into the hallway and picking up Yamato as he went Vergil limped down the hall. It was a dead end. Vergil glared at his sword. Unsheathing it and stabbing it into the ground. He didn’t even have time to let go when the floor fell away and he was sucked down.
Hitting concrete Vergil coughed. Looking around, the buildings were familiar. He was back in the city. He sighed putting Yamato away and leaning on a brick wall. Yamato got a free pass today,
“Don’t ever try that shit again.” The sword vibrated like it was laughing. Finding a street sign Vergil found his bearings. The shop wasn’t far, he had to get home. The welts he felt on his skin burned as they healed. Why they hadn’t healed when he was… wherever he was, he didn’t know. But he was glad they were now.
The lights of the shop were off on the downstairs. Vergil sighed stumbling into the alley. He hopped up to his window and slipped inside. Huffing he sat on the ground. His skin burned and he’d already thrown up twice walking back. He could feel himself gag, but there was nothing for him to cough up any more. Shuddering he lay on the wood floor. Just trying to breathe. For once he hated how cold he kept his room.
As he lay shivering and weak, his senses alerted him to someone else in the room. His muscles screamed at him to slow down but he had to know. Scrambling to his knees he crawled over to the side of his bed. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw you. You were there. Asleep. Peaceful. He was about to assume you took his kidnapping well when he noticed your eyes seemed puffy. Then he noticed you were wearing one of his sweaters. The dark circles under your eyes, and when he felt your hair it was oily and tangled. Lying his head on the bed Vergil took one of your hands and held it close to his face. He would apologize in the morning. Gently he kissed your hand and got to his feet. Pulling the blue blankets over your noticeably thinner frame Vergil stumbled to the door. Silently he left and paused at the top of the stairs. He heard something he never thought he’d hear,
“I… I miss him. He’s my brother Lady. He’s annoying as fuck, but... I can’t believe I fucked up this royally.” The woman sighed patting his back,
“Dante. He’ll be fine. We’ll find him, and you can rest easy.” The unspoken bond between the brothers was clear when they fought together. Their unconventional tactics blending seamlessly into the others fighting style. The verbal confirmation of their tolerance for each other was… lacking. Taking a heavy step onto the first stair, Vergil huffed clutching the handrail for dear life,
“Dante… I’m never saving you again.” The look on Dante’s face was priceless. Vergil almost laughed but was interrupted by a coughing fit. When Dante rushed over to him, eyes filled with tears, Vergil found his own. He refused to let them fall. Dante lied him on the couch as the coughing stopped,
“Verge, what- What the hell happened to you?!” Vergil groaned,
“Dante, just… Torture you buffoon. Can I sleep now? Everything burns.” Dante nodded with an airy chuckle.
When Vergil woke he felt sore. He could barely move and he felt miserable. He heard voices,
“Don’t come downstairs just yeah darling. Dante has got a surprise for you.” Vergil almost cried out when he heard you speak,
“Okay… But… Last night… Someone opened my window.” He shot up and Dante was immediately covering his mouth as he groaned. The younger demon hissed quietly,
“Vergil!! Shut up!” Vergil grumbled. Resisting the urge to bite his brother. Dante sighed looking to the stairs,
“I don’t want her crushing you cause we both know she can. Also… I found this in your coat and I was wondering when you were going to mention it?” Dante pulled out the black ring box. Vergil glared daggers at Dante,
“Give it back!! I'm going to end you, Dante!!” Dante laughed pocketing the box,
“I’ll hold on to this for you.” there were heavy steps at the top of the stairs. Vergil and Dante froze listening to the two women talk,
“Lady please let me downstairs.”
“I can’t do that, Dante’s surprise…” There was a choked sob, and Vergil recognized the sound of Yamato unsheathing,
“He’s here Lady! If Yamato’s here! Please…” you sounded so broken... Vergil strained against Dante. The hand from earlier covering his mouth again. This time Vergil did bite Dante, and when Dante coiled back in pain Vergil called your name. In seconds you were hugging him. Sobbing into his bandaged chest. He sighed closing his arms around you. You squeezed him but he didn’t care how it stung. You were there,
“Hello, love. I missed you.” You smiled looking up at him managing a small laugh. Vergil pulled your head closer and pecked your forehead,
“I’m sorry. I’m so very sorry.” Vergil groaned pulling himself up to sit. You sat in his lap tears still pouring from your eyes as you slowly formed words,
“I should apologize Vergil… Look at me! I’m a mess… I should expect…” Vergil sighed holding your hand. He usually wouldn’t even cuddle when one of Dante’s friends were over. But Vergil sighed holding you close, he was too exhausted to care,
“I’m saying sorry because I didn’t tell you something before I left. Something I should always use words to convey.” You frowned looking up at him as he brought you into a kiss. He blushed pulling away and muttering under his breath, words meant only for you,
“I love you. My princess.”

[05 - The Birth of the Space-Time Traveler]
“I won’t tell you anything!” Strikedramon shouted “My brother and I won’t talk to any of you humans!”
“Don’t test me, or else…”
“Or else what, punk?”
Stingmon cracked his knuckles, giving a death glare at the Strikedramon duo who gulped quietly.
“Sir, we will t-talk!” the second Strikedramon babbled “We’re part of a gang called Roar of Freedom, and they’re planning to separate humankind from the digimon.”
“Y-Yea, and our leader is a big bad wolf named Lupin--”
“Don’t say that name idiot! Don’t you know he can hear you!?”
“... R-right, the troop might be around.”
“Don’t worry” Ken said with a serious tone “We will do our best to keep you two safe. But please cooperate with us” they he smiled.
“Wow, Ken’s really good at dealing with criminals” Agumon whispered to Taichi.
“Indeed” and he answered with a quiet voice.
“Okay, we will talk about it” the first Strikedramon nodded, “His name is Lupinmon and he has ordered us to invade the human world and get rid of the DigiWorld’s ambassadors.”
“He also has loyalty of two dangerous digimon” the second Strikedramon added “One is his most powerful soldier, and the other is his assassin.”
Ken recorded those on his phone and mind, while Taichi was learning against the wall and watching the interrogation.
“Thank you for cooperating with us” Ken said with a soft tone “As my promise, we will keep you two safe from them. I will call the assistance for you now.”
-------------------------------------------------
The gate opened next to the Motomiya-Inoue’s residence, where Kiyoko, Taisuke and Eiji were taking a break and eating some snacks.
“You brought us to my house…?” Daichi blinked “Wait, we need to help mr. Yagami--”
“Taichi’s old but not weak” Natsu said “Don’t forget, he was the leader of his group, the same group your parents were part of. And Daisuke also was like, the third in command, Yamato was the second.”
“Uh, guys” Ulforce interrupted them “I think there’s someone at home. It’s not a good idea go there”
“It must be Kiyoko” Daichi mused “I hope she’s okay… Wait I will call her.”
Natsu and Ulforce looked at each other while the kid took his phone from his pocket and dialed up his house’s phone. As he assumed, his little sister answered the call.
“Hello, Kiyoko? Are you and the guys ok? I was going to the theater when heard the news. Wait, you three left before it happened!? Ok, ok… Glad you’re fine. Anyway, I’ve met my friends and I will be a bit late today. Tell mom to not let her worried with me again. Thank you, sis” he hung up the phone and put it back on his pocket.
“So… you lied to her.”
“Not totally” he smirked “After all you two are my friends. Anyway, let’s go. I’m partnered with Ulforce now.”
“Wait, you want to go after your father right now!?” she gasped “No, no. Daichi, listen. Your father does not remember of you or him being human! He was brainwashed to think he’s a digimon!”
“He… he remembered of my name. I’m sure he’s still there. But i meant… Travel back to the time he was captured, before that and warn him!”
“Um… you want to do a minor change on the past?”
“That doesn’t seem a bad idea” Ulforce shrugged “It wouldn’t erase this world right?”
“Hm… I think not” she answered “How about we ask Skuld’s opinion? She seems to know more about space-time.”
“You trust on that woman-like Digital World’s agent, digi-girl!?”
“She seems nice” Natsu shrugged.
“... Let’s ask her, please” Daichi nodded “Take us there again Natsu.”
“OK! I think I figured it out, it’s connected to…” from behind her scarf, she took a pendant on her necklace. It seemed an octagon-shaped crystal, with some pink sand inside “... this little thingy I have here!”
Natsu took the pendant and pointed it from an empty place. In the next seconds, a flash came from the crystal, opening a gate in front of them.
“Daichi called and said he was inside when the theater got attacked” Kiyoko told Taisuke and Eiji, and they could notice her panic “But he said he’s fine. Do you think… No, the adults are adults and know how to handle things.”
“So you were concerned about my father huh” Taisuke didn’t know how to avoid bitterness but it was too late. Kiyoko frowned at him, and Eiji put a hand on Taisuke’s shoulder.
“I’m sure my dad will be called and he will protect uncle Taichi.”
“Huh, you really think that ol’ man is unable to protect himself!? Nothing to worry about!”
“You admit it. You’re worried about him,” she said with a deadpan face.
“What!? I don’t!?”
“It’s okay” Eiji laughed nervously “I think Kiyoko just misinterpreted your commentaries.”
“... I just want him to go home” Taisuke whispered “and safe.”
-------------------------------------------------
The gate opened in front a mysterious armored angel digimon, it seemed like part of the Angemon species branch, but nothing like anything Daichi had seen before. Its armor was white, and the chest plate had a keyhole on it. The angel was also holding a big key… That made the young kid think of an old game he had seen his best friend talking about once.
“Who’s there?”
“Uh, it’s me. I’m back” Daichi announced, and once everyone was on the mysterious dimension palace, the gate behind them closed.
“You…” the digimon approached from the boy “Ah yes, you. The child from the other day.”
“Excuse me, but I don’t remember of knowing you before…”
“Pardon, I’m Clavis Angemon and I protect this place.”
“Oh…! I’m Daichi, these are Natsu and Ulforce. Do you know where Skuld is, mr. Clavis Angemon?”
“She was waiting for your return, space-time traveler. Please come with me you three” and the angel digimon gracefully led the trio to a part of that emptiness place where was filled with doors, all of them of the same size and design. They had rustic wood, but the doorknob was completely made of gold.
“Mrs. Skuld” Daichi called her once they found the mysterious woman reading a holo-screen “I’m came back. I’ve decided what I want to do.”
“You did?” She moved her hands, and the screen disappeared “Say my child, what’s your decision.”
“I want to use the space-time power to prevent Motomiya Daisuke to be captured.”
There was a serious tone on Daichi’s voice. Very determined, somehow reminding of his father. Skuld smiled, then she responded to his bravery with a nod.
“Very well. You found an objective to be achieved. However, rules are important my young traveler.”
“Rules…? Like, not let anyone know I’m from the future?”
“Yes. And you cannot let any of your parents and their acquaintances to know about your true identity.”
“Fair. I won’t mess with more than warning the Chosen Children about the enemy.”
“But Daichi” Natsu interrupted him “You don’t know what kind of enemy is!”
“Heh, we will see” Ulforce nodded “It can’t be THAT bad!!”
“... Considering Daisuke got BEATEN and CAPTURED” she replied with a very angry tone “Oh yes, it might not be a real deal huh?”
“M-maybe he miscalculated!?”
“You’re saying that Daisuke messed things up and that’s the result of his own mistake!?”
“Stop fighting, please” Daichi interrupted them “My dad isn’t that smart nor that dumb, but he can commit a lot of mistakes in a row.”
“I’m so offended right now!” Natsu crossed her arms.
“Anyway, we can do that right Skuld?” Daichi glanced at the mysterious woman “Warn the Chosen Children that someone is after one of them.”
“I don’t see any problem” she answered “As long you don’t get your true identity be revealed, you’re free to do anything harmless.”
“Ok,” he looked back at the other two digimon “Natsu, Ulforce let’s roll.”
“You’re channeling into your mother right now” Natsu sighed, but nodded.
“Wait, his mother had some kind of catchphrase??” Ulforce blinked.
“She was the cheer of the group” the digi-girl explained “Used to say ‘Digital Gate open! Chosen Children let’s roll!' every single time they went to the Digital World.”
Daichi blushed, “L-let’s stop talking about my mom and let's go save my dad please.”
  -------------------------------------------------
“Mom, I’m home”
Taisuke closed the door after arriving at home, but the lights were off in the living room. He walked in, then something caught his attention: He heard his mother’s voice talking on the phone and hid in the corridor to hear a bit of the conversation.
“I see, you’re investigating those incidents…Should I tell Yamato and Koushiro?”
Seemed it was his father the one on the other side of the line.
“Are you OK though? I heard the premiere event had been attacked. Oh thank goodness you’re fine…! Are you… Coming home? Huh? You will be late again?”
“Tsk, just like the usual” Taisuke muttered.
“I… I understand. Do you need my help? No? Oh okay I will keep an eye on Taisuke then, don’t worry. The mom Sora is still in shape to protect those she loves!”
“Me? Protect me ?!” he thought and clenched his fist “I do not need to be protected! I can do anything by myself! I… I’m strong, stronger than you and mom!”
The rage Taisuke felt had been there for a long time ago. Mostly after Taichi had become an ambassador for the Digital World, working day and night to keep both parties safe. Sora is a Japanese fashion designer, but tries to find time for her only son, Taisuke.
It does not help that the young child despises how busy Taichi had became. Especially now with this new enemy reveal. However, Taisuke does not know about that. He does not know that both parents are linked to the old stories he heard from his aunt Hikari.
And deep down, he wanted to do something big enough to make his father look at him. Something…
“Oh, Taisuke you’re home??” once Sora had hung up the phone, she noticed him there eavesdropping, but pretended he wasn’t listening to her and Taichi at all “Did you eat something?”
“Uh I… I had. I was with Kiyoko and Eiji” he replied “I’m going to sleep. Good night, mom. Night, Piyo” and he went to his room.
“Is he okay?” Piyomon tilted her head.
“... I think he heard me” Sora frowned “He’s missing Taichi because lately...”
Piyomon got a bit concerned about that scene, but wasn’t able to cheer Sora up or give any kind of advice like she had used to in the past.
