I love mythology so much and it’s taking everything in me to not write a full fledge fic about a Cupid and Psyche au omfg

justttttt Cupid Bakugou who is just so, so fucking beautiful. he’s always been recorded by other mortals for being akin to sunlight himself—all golden hues and sharp angles and high cheekbones and massive wings. wings that span as wide as an entire village, that sparkle when the light hits them, loud when they beat to send him soaring into the skies above. but his mouth? his attitude?

everyone always wonders why he was never the god of war, instead. but he’s damn good at his job, with his arrows propped up on his back, swift with discharging them into another stupid mortal who’s fallen for the local towns idiot. but hey, they’re in love, and it’s his job to enforce that love go over well.

and then he sees you—the most beautiful mortal, that you’re even compared to the gods, to his mother. he wants you so bad, if not to treasure and keep you against his side as he travels over the oceans cold waters, than to keep you safe from the vile men who want you as their partner and the disgusting women who envy you for having it all.

omg and the part where he takes you to stay in his palace and asks you not to ever look at his face???? it’s killing him, to wear that mask to your nightly dinners, to be able to look at the soft curve of your mouth when you frown and ask him to reveal himself. to be able to look at how you stare back at him, eyes pretty and furious, frustrated and mad, wanting to go back on the conditions you agreed upon because having to sit across from him without seeing him is absolute torture. Alright so I just finished Earthspark and boy fucking howdy do I have opinions, but I’m not talking about those right now because I’m tired and the ending broke me in such a way I no longer care about anything.

What I would like to say though is I think Tanatulas should have been replaced with Shockwave in that on episode he had with Nightshade. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Tanatulas. He was literally so good, I loved his designs and his vibes and the only bad thing about him is that he never said his pronouns back. But really think about it. He didn’t have to be there. Earthspark spends too much time with the Maltos to really develop anyone so the more characters you add the more everything struggles.

Tanatulas showed up for one episode, he’s not even in the finale. Shockwave was there though and vaguely important, but it doesn’t make sense for him to just suddenly be okay with the Maltos. Unless he took Tanatulas role. Then his sudden willingness to help them would have made so much more sense. It also wouldn’t have been a very hard change, just as a whole, because neither Tanatulas or Shockwave are that important.

Just give Nightshade a line about how they should save Shockwave because they trust him and well everyone else acts the same.

Shockwave even fills a similar general role as Tanatulas being a weird scientist who care more about their science than the war. So it really wouldn’t be a hard switch and would make Shockwave make more sense. If you want to go further too Shockwave doesn’t even have a normal vehicle mode so he really could have given similar lines about alt modes to Nightshade.

Obviously Shockwave actual introduction episode would be different or maybe he’d just get replaced entirely but I really don’t think any of those changes would be too hard. Because again, he’s just not important enough for any changes to his character to be hard.

Tanatulas in Earthspark doesn’t validate his existence much as is. I really do love him, but he’s replaceable and just clutters an already poorly handled cast. While I think it would be cool if he was just more important they clearly didn’t want that by not even giving him a finale shot. So I do think just swapping his episode with Shockwave (and whatever other alterations are needed to make that perfect) fixes the problem with having too many underdeveloped characters since it removes one character and in the process developes another.

#id rewatch the show to see how well this fixes it but I don’t hate myself that much #genuinely can’t remember shockwaves intro very well so I dunno make I’m wrong but this feels right #i loved Tranchulas very much but no one gets screen time so I think instead of letting a one shot character take up more room #you just edit it so someone important to later episodes actually shows up more #my biggest beef with ES is just how little they care about anyone outside of the Maltos #all I wanted was a funky show about big guys with not usual teams and kinda gay moments #all I got was a very forced found family and acting like these background characters matter more than they do #fucking hate everything about the kids ngl. can’t stand child soldier characters. hate it when humans are important to TF shows #and I hate it when they get magic. literally prime connection. stfu. i don’t want to hate kids because they’re kids but I do not like them.#earthspark spoilers #tf earthspark #earthspark shockwave #earthspark tarantulas #hate to slander one of my favorite episodes like this but I do think it would help the ending at the very least #i don’t even like how this shockwave looks. he’s too slim for sw. but like he makes more sense story wise #transformers #transformers earthspark #ugh hate to add in more ranting in between actual tags but I keep thinking if more stuff #worst things about the kids in ES is like all tv show children they always follow people into stuff even when told not to and cause issues #like bumblebee telling them to stay back. he’s got this. he’s literally a scout let the man scout #but no! they gotta follow him and are the reason he gets caught!#that plot line and character type is so common and everytime it annoys me greatly #can’t you just listen to the guy who can handle themselves and know what they’re doing? can’t you just stay back untrained guy? please?#for my mental health #original post

as of today, all of my former coworkers in the circulation department have either relocated to different branches or resigned 🤭

#mads makes a text post #can't say i'm surprised tbh #i love the staff at that location but admin treats the circ department kinda shitty ngl #like all the other circ clerks at other branches do more than the ones at the main branch (where i previously worked)#also ngl working at the main branch during its renovation kind of sucks #im so glad i got a new position at the location i would float to #it's a longer drive (only 20 minutes) but it's bearable and i like my new position!#also lol since the final clerk resigned they put up a hiring ad #ngl I’m kinda salty about that #because since the renovation started they had a hiring freeze at this location for months #and guess what - a youth services librarian actually retired in early June #if I wanted to I could have applied but they’re not putting it out until like the fall I guess #so I could have stayed at that location (no one wanted me to leave) but!#hiring freeze and ngl I wanted out of my current position #bc again - circ clerks at the main branch are treated kinda shitty and most normal responsibilities are capped #so I wasn’t going to learn or allow to do much which would have hindered future career paths #it’s fine though I like working at my current branch now #it has its ups and downs but the patron culture is so different #plus I no longer have to handle fine money which is super nice #anyway I hope my former coworker gets to do what she wants #(she’s doing further career research for what she really wants to do)#I feel bad for my former supervisors I know they must be freaking out now

He’s a horrible sleeper

I mean sure, you can sleep and cuddle like the couple you are

However, that doesn’t stop him from sleeping wildly

Limbs sprawled all over the freaking place and the only reason you know is because of the concerning amount of times you’ve woken up under some of them

To make it worse?

He’s a blanket hogger

He doesn’t rlly hog it in the sense that he steals it all

I mean he does, but he sorta just slides off the bed and takes the rest of the blanket with him

But yea 😞

Nice to cuddle with but not to sleep with sorry not sorry

The first way is pretty compacted

What I mean is, he sleeps he sleeps bundled up by the blanket in a blanket burrito

The other one is where he sleeps sprawled out, limbs all over the place, blanket discarded

So when he’s in a blanket burrito best believe he’s taking you with him

He usually does this during winter because he naturally runs hot

Anyway, he pulls you in and kinda bundled the blanket around you two for you guys to cuddle and be as close as possible

But when he’s sprawled out with his limbs everywhere he likes to cuddle with you on top of him

That or you’re abused and crushed by him in your sleep

Plus yknow how he runs hot? Well it’s absolute hell

It’s so hot and honestly suffocating when he’s sleeping on you 💀
