Harper sent you the most astonishing suit you had ever seen.

The color complimented your skin tone, the cut was clean and highlighted every part of your body you liked; she left a note on top too.

“This is your new beginning, Ace, go get them.”

It made you smile, still you didn’t wear it, the suit was too expensive. Your choice was one black plain pencil skirt, white blouse and simple heels. Your makeup and hairstyle wasn’t too special also, you wanted Pepper Potts to see what you were capable of beyond your fashion choices.

After making your way to the tower and making all the procedure, you met your new boss.

“Maria is going to give some training and we can get some things done as we start working together” the ginger woman said behind her desk, you gave a nod and she smiled “relax; you’re going to do great.”

You didn’t know how to relax; it wasn’t in you to be able to do it.

Maria Hill, an intimidating but efficient woman, made you sign a confidentially contract which was fine with you, you were given an enormous pile of information that made you believe you were not qualified enough for this.

“Thank you miss Potts- Pepper” you rectified, giving her a list of her things to do “miss Van Dyme is coming after lunch to discuss your partnership with Pym industries and Dr. Stephen Strange asked for an appointment tomorrow too, you have your daughter’s teacher reunion at ten so maybe after it could be a good time”

“It’s perfect, Ace” the happy tone in her words made you smile. After being so long stuck with someone who only made you feel stupid, it was nice to have some reassurance.

You both went about your day and the familiar environment of the office setting helped you to focus instead of losing it, you were working with the Avengers! Your folks barely believe it when you called them, in all honesty you almost couldn’t believe it too.

The day was easy, probably because Pepper wanted you to don’t give up and when you least expect it, it was time to go home.

“Are you sure miss- Pepper?” you asked for the millionth time, obviously going home before midnight wasn’t usual for you.

“I’m completely sure, Ace. Please go home and rest, tomorrow we have a great day” not very convinced, you did what she say and after saying goodnight you took your things and walk to the elevator.

When the doors opened your heart raced in your chest.

Sergeant Barnes smiled at you when you entered the elevator, giving you enough space between your bodies.

“Are you ok, miss?” his smile faltered and you tried to look less like an idiot.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, just tired” you lied “I didn’t see you all day”

In the moment your words left your mouth, heat rushed to your cheeks, what the fuck were you doing?

“I was working on something with Sam, he can be a pain in the ass sometimes” he explained without making evident how dumb you were being. The doors opened again and he walked with you to the entrance “are you going home or-?”

“Home” it was a whisper under the city noise but he could hear you perfectly.

“Maybe I could drive you there, if you want” it sounded crazy but he almost looked shy, like you were about to reject him. For a moment, the memory of your dreams about that boy smiling at you in the moonlight came back.

“Yeah, I’d like that”

It was the right answer, his face light up and it took you a second to remember how to breathe.

Bucky directed you to his car in silence which was a good thing because your head was a complete mess, what were you doing? There was no way you could deny you felt attraction towards him but it wasn’t like you were the only one, the man was breathtaking so you were just reacting to that, it was a complete different story to think something could happen between you two.

He opened the door for you with the same politeness he let you walk first out of the elevator and your hands shook a little. It was nothing, he was a gentleman, he came from the time gentlemen were a thing, for all you knew he probably had a beautiful girlfriend waiting at home, ready to welcomed him with mind blowing sex and plans of a future together.

Being the silly hopeless romantic you were, the thought made your heart ache.

“Did you forget something at the tower?” he asked again when he started driving, Bucky looked a little concerned about you so you tried to smile.

“I’m fine, sorry, just leave me near the next subway station”

“Why would I do that? You are not going to the subway and not at this hour, little bird, it’s too dangerous” Bucky was too affronted to realize his mistake but you weren’t.

“Little bird?”

For a moment you could see how his jaw clenched, like he was scolding himself but then it was gone and he gave you a boyish smile.

“It’s ok if I call you that? Just felt appropriate, you’re sweet and small and I don’t know” he shrugged before the light turned green and then you didn’t think about anything else but how perfect it sounded that nickname in his voice.

“I’m obviously small next to you Bucky, you grew up like ivy around a stone house, don’t ya think?”

The most melodic laugh came out of him and you weren’t in his car anymore, instead it was a tent surrounding you and the chill of the autumn air around you.

You started bickering like you knew each other all your lives, he asked you about your day and then you asked about his and what had him so busy with Sam which led to something very interesting.

“Alright, in my defense I don’t go around looking for old ladies to charm” he defended himself after telling you a story about a bingo night in Louisiana with Sam and a very nice old lady who gave him her number.

“You’re a heartbreaker, Bucky Barnes” you told him holding back your laugh, he was so cute when he was all flustered, you could swear you saw him like this before.

“I used to be”

He stopped in front of your building and the sad tone in his voice made you want to reach for his hand to comfort him, despite that your hand stayed still.

“I’m pretty sure you still are, maybe you don’t find the right lady yet”

His sky blue eyes found yours, making the air inside the vehicle heavy with unspoken words. His gaze never left your face; he looked like he was fighting with himself.

“I did find her, actually” Bucky finally said and your hopes crashed against each other.

“Oh” was everything you could say.

“In the 40’s, she was… she was gone shortly after I disappeared” his voice was barely a whisper but you could hear him perfectly being that close, this time your hand closed around his.

“I’m so sorry Buck” your jealousy was long forgotten, a silly crush was nothing compared to losing someone like that, when the details of his pardon were made public they said that he was believed to be dead when in reality he was captured a second time by Hydra, you couldn’t imagine how it was for his lover to lose him twice when he was alive and suffering and for him to lose the woman he loved with everything else that monsters took from him.

A heart crushing pain that was always there hit you, your soul aching for both of them, for the young soldier Bucky was, for the woman who surely waited until her last breath to see him again.

“Please don’t cry little bird, I didn’t mean to make you cry” he wiped your tears with his hands and your skin felt hot at the contact, why were you crying? God, he surely would think you were an idiot or a fake jerk.

“I’m fine, I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m crying” stopping was impossible but Bucky didn’t look at you like you lose your mind, instead he hugged you, rubbing circles in your back. His scent of leather and mint made you close your eyes and start to relax.

“Everything is ok little bird, you’re fine, I’m fine” he mumbled against your hair.

Taking a deep breath, you calmed down and put some space between you two.

There was concern in his beautiful face and that was normal after your behavior but there was also something more, something that made you both move towards each other before a honk startled you, making you fall from his arms.

“I’m so sorry, Mr. Barnes, I don’t know what happened to me” you apologized, taking your purse before he could say anything and getting out of the car to your department.

You didn’t stopped running until the door closed behind you.

How do you think the events at the end of the movie would’ve played out had Miles actually gotten sent to his home universe (Earth-1610) and Gwen had also arrived there as well when she got the watch from Hobie? How different would that part of the movie be excluding the stuff that happened at Earth-42.

Honestly? That's a good question.

I initially was thinking of someone a fic response like I did with the jealous prompt I got a few days ago, but I couldn't find a way that I could align all the canon elements in the fic in a way that would give a good conclusion. Perhaps I would use that idea for a proper fic.

Regardless, the thing that I keep thinking is not on Miles or Gwen, but Miguel and his allies.

At first, naively so, I thought Miguel and the others were looking for the Spot; perhaps I just wanted to think this a bit more positively; because the idea that this grown ass man roped two other people to capture a 15 year old that wants to save his dad is...a choice.

(I swear I don't hate Miguel, he just tests my patience a lot.)

Now, for obvious reasons these would be a problem for any Ghostflower reunion because Miguel has no chill; and would not wait nicely for this young couple to settle an argument.

Where is he, though.

Not seriously, what is this?

I was thinking he would be in Visions Academy, but this doesn't look like it at first glance. The dark atmosphere and the rain is not helping this either. If anybody has an idea, I am listening, but the only clue I have is that Miguel has a gigantic red sign that says "Welcome."

(Fun fact, the first time I saw this movie i almost expected the sign to say Hell. It wouldn't make sense on a world building sense but that was what going on my mind seeing this situation.)

Riley we know was waiting in front of Miles's house.

Now, this one is not really a problem because in the scenario that they are all in the same universe, this would mean Gwen already dispatched the Meathead (the director's words, not mine;) with Miles just entering his room after that.

Considering the situation, there is a chance Gwen would either see Miles going into his apartment, or perhaps Miles realizing that Gwen is on the alley. However for the nature of this ask, we would not explore those scenarios in this post.

Here is when it gets tricky.

Jessica was following Miles' dad, which makes sense considering they are looking for Miles and he may try to go directly to his dad.

In the scenario the timing tracks exactly the same, Gwen would probably look at the window and see Miles, so she may or not realize Jeff is coming.

What would I think if Gwen got to Miles directly? That things would probably escalate rather quickly.

I think if Gwen saw Miles lying on the floor (As he did when he got home in Earth 42;) she would quickly rush to him. To which I would expect Miles to either adopt a defensive posture, or tell her to stay away.

We need to remember that as far as Miles is aware, she is still working with the organization, last time they saw each other she was attempting to capture him (Well, honestly she didn't try very hard, but it would still be betrayal for him.)

Of course, I imagine Gwen would start with either a "I'm so sorry, Miles," "I am not here to fight, I am on your side," "I know a way we avoid the canon event." Perhaps she would say a combination of all of those things, the problem is that I don't think we would have a chance because problem number 3 would arrive.

(Imagine this is Rio from 1610.)

Now, I am going to be a bit generous here, and I will imagine that Rio didn't hear Miles coming in (unlike Rio from Earth 42,) perhaps the other version of her heard Miles come in because she was picking up laundry and was close to the door.

But I am sorry, every time I try to imagine an scenario where Gwen and Miles get to met here, I can't imagine any of them being quiet enough to not make Rio realize there are people in her house. Emotions are running way too high for either of them to think about that.

In the movie, Miles was on the floor and heard Rio appear, so he had the time to get his jacket on. In this scenario? Frankly I imagine Miles and Gwen would be close to screaming so neither of them would realize of her coming by.

Now imagine you are Rio for a moment.

You all of the sudden hear your son and or/the girl he was with earlier screaming about nonsense you don't know what the heck could be about, and when you open the door you see your son and that girl in Spider suits. No idea if there is any information or pictures of Gwen's as a Spiderwoman on Earth 1610, but that's kind of a moot point when your son not only is dressed up as the current spiderman, but also is sporting these.

(Sorry I don't have a full image, I try to get ANYTHING in the movie that would give me a good visual, and no shot; I couldn't get the complete image of where I got these, and finding these was a pain and a half.)

There is a 50/50 chance that Gwen/Miles may be able to sneak a "is a costume!" lie, but all things consider this would probably make Rio realize a lot of things are making sense all of the sudden. Rio would probably rush to Miles once she sees he is this hurt and freak out, no doubt.

And if things couldn't get worse, is around this time Jeff is coming upstairs, and who came with him?

YEP.

Now, we see that Jess spies on Gwen and Miles' parents thanks a device, not sure if this is the spider thing Gwen used earlier to track the Spot, or something else; regardless, she would definitely see them there, if not hear the ruckus.

Here is the thing, would I think Jess would do something?

...Sadly, yes.

Jess has kind of a soft spot for Gwen, and while I don't think she was the best Mentor (less about what she taught Gwen and more on not being there for her enough, but that's another discussion.) Jess gave the chance to Gwen to go to 1610 in the first place, she also let her try to fix it (thought the circumstances weren't too generous,) and while we don't have a clue what she would do next, I am inclined to believe that canonically, she is not going to snitch to Miguel that Gwen went by, perhaps only mention that Miles isn't in this dimension.

Because here is the thing, she has a soft spot for Gwen, but we can see that she definitely thinks Miles is a problem; and considering she is still helping Miguel, I doubt her mind had changed much in that regard.

So while she let Gwen "go" to get Miles (though there is the chance she is just letting her go so she can track where she is going,) I doubt she would see Miles there and not do something.

Now we have Rio screaming her lungs out about what the heck Miles has been doing, Miles probably trying to explain the situation to her, Gwen may or may not try to defend Miles (honestly the only reason I may think Gwen doesn't say anything is because this is really a conversation she shouldn't be involved.) And Jess then comes out from the window to collect Miles; she may also bring her Motorcycle with her which would cause even more chaos.

Hey remember how Jeff was just going upstairs? I like to think is something like this.

I know is an old meme but imagine Jeff, happily coming back home after an end of his shift; and he finds the house with his son on a Spiderman costume fighting a very pregnant woman (who may have the motorcycle INSIDE HIS HOUSE,) the girl he brought with him earlier shooting webs or something trying to stop the black lady, and his wife probably screaming on a corner.

While writing this, I originally was going to say earlier that having Miguel and his croonies here could make things a tad complicated; no wonder I deleted that earlier because this is just chaos.

Speaking of Miguel, no doubt Jess informed him that Miles was at his house, with no signs of Riley. Depending or where he is, he may be coming by soon enough.

Sorry if you or anyone else was expecting a fluffy or heartwarming scenario, but in this blog I try to adhere to canon facts as much as I can for these analysis, and I couldn't answer with canon possibilities without taking everything into account.

That being said, oh my g-d this was so much fun; I should try to do these more often.

I will see if I use the original fic idea I had in mind, while drafting this I also thought of the possibility of what would happen if Gwen's picture (That as discussed in this analysis, she may have with her) fell off while she was leaving Miles' apartment; if anyone is interested in that last idea please say so because I am on the fence about it.

Norton is Alive in the Final Game

This is going to be less of an organized post and more just a collection of points. I wanted to post a theory I wrote about Time of Reunion here based on quoththeowl31's request, but I wrote the original theory right after the event (I needed hope) and it's been quite some time since then. I would've felt guilty just copy pasting it here considering how long its been, but I didn't have the energy to make it nice and neat. So I'm just going to take the important points from my previous theory, revise them based on what info we currently have, and go from there.

(Sorry, I only had the energy to be lazy for this. Hopefully this is good enough for you.)

Alice (Little Girl) is running from Orpheus during Time of Reunion in-game.

She disappears in Da Capo after Orpheus beats up Norton, leaving only her diary behind. The same thing happens at the end of the Time of Reunion event in-game. The diary is left on the ground near where Orpheus lies.

Possible Orpheus scared Alice due to his actions, even if he thought he did it to defend her.

This is the “final game”. No bodies are found except Orpheus’. The fire didn’t consume everything, so if Norton really were dead, his body should be around there somewhere, but it isn’t.

Melly and Alice are never found either, but if they did manage to leave, we’ve heard nothing about them.

Little Girl helps other survivors. If Orpheus was Nightmare, that’d mean she’d have to help Norton, Melly, or whoever the 4th survivor is (whether that’s Frederick or otherwise). Novelist was banned in this mode, meaning Little Girl couldn’t support him (and it’s possible this could have been meant to also signify Little Girl didn’t support him in the story either).

Alice is a rescuer. The only person we’ve seen hurt and chaired during the in-game cutscene was Norton. Ergo, it’d be her responsibility to rescue him.

Norton is a survivor built to harass the hunter (and potentially by-time for others/help others escape from the hunter), while Melly is built for kiting and running. This could explain why Norton is the one who is the one wounded during Time of Reunion

Norton and Melly, each time they appear as hunters during the animations, are always reaching towards Little Girl aka Alice, not Orpheus.

Norton was using the axe to break the door to the room Orpheus had locked himself and the girl in. The axe disappears right after he makes a big enough hole, meaning Norton didn’t intend to use it to hurt either of them.

Melly in Alice’s diary was said to be trying to persuade Alice to leave, but she refuses due to not finding the answer she’s looking for yet.

If Alice/Little Girl knew Norton and Melly were trying to help her, she likely would’ve sided with them. That could also be why she disappears after Orpheus beats up Norton (as well seeing how Orpheus truly is/how messed up he is). Or she disappeared so Orpheus, upon losing sight of her, she’d be freed and could help Norton without Orpheus stopping her.

Orpheus isn’t a reliable perspective. The memories we’re seeing are because of the Hydra drug, which “rebuilds” memories. “Rebuild” rather than “regain” or “remember” means the “rebuilt” version can look the exact same as the original, but it’s also possible for it to somewhat differ from the original version. For example, the memories Hydra gives Orpheus has Orpheus being chased by Nightmare, which we know is impossible as Orpheus is Nightmare, as well as shows Alice as Little Girl rather than her actual, present day version as Alice the Journalist. (Similar to what happens to Sora during Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.)

There are inconsistencies in the animation, which can help show that it, like the Time of Reunion event in-game, isn’t the exact truth. Besides Alice appearing as Little Girl rather than Journalist Alice, as well as how we can see hallucinations exist considering we see Melly and Norton appearing as hunters, but we know this is a hallucination as, for example, after Orpheus punches Melly, we see the real Melly briefly afterwards.

Only Orpheus and Little Girl are in color. Norton and Melly are in black and white.

Only Orpheus and Little Girl have real eyes. Norton has button eyes.

Norton isn’t fighting back. When Orpheus tries to punch him a 2nd time, Norton actually grabs his hand, struggles to keep him still while Orpheus continues to try to attack him, and then grabs Orpheus’ other hand when he tries to swing that at Norton too. In the second or so that Orpheus can’t attack, we see Norton trying to say something to Orpheus, but Orpheus isn’t listening and continues to attack. Norton this whole time hasn’t made any moves to attack Orpheus himself.

The strange scene where Melly is hiding in a locker, Norton touches something on the floor, walks over to the locker, shakes it once, hits it once, shakes it one more time, then runs out. It’s kind of nonsensical. If he was running from something, we’d see Norton moving quicker and more furiously, yet the nonchalant way he goes about his business before slowly walking to the locker says otherwise. Right after this, Melly opens up a trapdoor once Norton leaves. It’s possible Norton’s actions were a signal to Melly, potentially signifying that it was Norton, not Orpheus, and him trying to potentially say Orpheus wasn’t around, and that could’ve been why Melly only opened the trapdoor afterwards. This could mean Melly and Norton are working together, and as both of them seemed to be trying to reach for Little Girl specifically, that could help further prove the idea.

The only time we see Norton and Melly going against each other is when Norton punches Melly and causes her to drop the flashlight that Orpheus then picks up. I think the only reason this happened was because they might’ve known Orpheus was watching and had to pretend. Even when Orpheus firsts locks himself in the room with Little Girl, closing the door right as Hunter Melly appears in front of the door, in a few seconds, we see the axe coming through the door, signifying Hunter Norton is right outside the door now. Both Norton and Melly should be nearby, outside the door, but they’re goal is getting into the room, not fighting each other.

We also see both of them running past Orpheus at about the same time.

There’s also how Melly during Time of Reunion is shown to be using her bees to try to get Orpheus hit and killed by the hunter.

“Da Capo” is a music term and means to “go back to the beginning” of the music. This only happens once, with the second time you reach this symbol it doesn’t repeat, and instead goes to a different measure. This basically seems to symbolize doing things over but reaching a different ending.

Da Capo and redoing something can connect to COA 4, as Highway Cavalier and the others repeatedly die and are forced to redo the race over and over. Highway Cavalier does defeat Molten Hound and win the race in the end, receiving a “powerful life force” as his reward in the end. Molten Hound, who is absorbing the life force of the racers forced to redo the race in loop after loop, can parallel Orpheus as Nightmare, who does something similar with the participants of his experiments. Highway Cavalier obviously parallels Norton, while Melly can parallel Reflective Mirror, someone who at first did not get along with and was on different sides from Norton, but after Norton changes and starts to care, he saves her from dying at one point, and they become allies.

Considering what we know about Alice based on her letter to Orpheus in the 2nd anniversary package, where she says she’s going to save him (Orpheus) this time, she could parallel Pumping Tires, who sacrifices himself for Highway Cavalier to ensure Highway Cavalier can win the race and defeat Molten Hound.

There’s also how the COA 4 races were taking place in Yidhra’s Dreamlands, and Yidhra in canon seems to relate to Oracle and Orpheus’ drugs via the fern, as well as to Darkwoods where the Final Game takes place.

Norton in his 2nd letter was asked to assassinate some female in exchange for a lot of money. Despite this, we see in this letter that he (Hunter Norton/Fool’s Gold) is trying to convince himself (Survivor Norton) to go through with the job and kill the female for the money. This is similar to Norton’s backstory trailer, where we see Norton fighting with himself before he sets off the explosion in Golden Cave. We see him holding his head, as well as both him and his hunter version at the same time, before seeing Fool’s Gold win and cause the explosion.

It’s possible during the Final Game, Norton chose to reject the assassination request and side with Alice instead, similar to Highway Cavalier’s change from selfish to working with others during COA 4 to the point in previous loops he gets himself killed while trying to help them.

Norton in Time of Reunion is shown to be eliminated via chair rather than bleeding out. This means there is a chance he survived. (Orpheus is also shown with scars on his hand from the wires on the rocket chairs, meaning he survived despite being chaired. It’s possible he was rescued, but in-game, if you’re eliminated via chair, it does say “returning to manor”, which could be what happened to Norton).

Little Girl, as well as Nightmare, disappeared because Orpheus forgot about them. Because the gas he released via the valve is shown to have the Dionysus/Mnemosyne symbol, which is the drug that makes a person forget.

Strange split screen during the scene Orpheus attacks Norton. Suspicious we can’t see exactly who the shadows are, even though the left side shows us Orpheus and Norton. Considering we know the hallucination drug can cause people to see someone as something else, it’s possible the fact we can’t see who’s on the right may hint that maybe they aren’t who they seem to be. It’s possible rather than attacking Norton, he’s actually attacking Alice, which could also tie to why she sees him as Nightmare, as well as why Little Girl runs away from Orpheus during the Time of Reunion event.

Orpheus is focused on the past before the tragedy. He is “looking back”. He also “looks back” after attacking Norton in Da Capo, and when he does, Alice is gone. And like in the original myth, when Orpheus looks back, Eurydice vanishes forever. The fact Alice is gone could mean he did in fact attack her and caused her to disappear despite what he thought he saw.

Last thought. We see Little Girl disappear at the end. And based on Alice’s letter to Orpheus, this seems to echo this. If Yidhra really is involved, what if she made Alice, as well as Norton and Melly, disappear. Similar to what happens to the Lakeside villagers. And potentially similar to what Eli describes in his 4th letter, as he describes “dissipating” just like how we see happen to Little Girl in the animations as well as in-game at the end of Time of Reunion.

As Yidhra’s letters seem to connect her to the fern used in the drugs, as well as to Darkwoods, where the final game is, and where we can find a bonfire that Yidhra’s form can appear in, it’s possible she could’ve made Alice, Norton, Melly, and potentially all the other participants of Orpheus’ game disappear, similar to how she makes the investigators who wander into her territory see the steps to the Dreamlands.

Alice in her letter to Orpheus in the 2nd anniversary package does say “As I gradually regain my consciousness, I’ll find a way to escape from the prison that locks me in”, and though I don’t see how she could write a letter to Orpheus if she had already been sent to the Dreamlands, I still wanted to suggest the idea that the “prison” she refers to is the Dreamlands. Joseph is all about saving people from death, which he does by taking a photo of them, causing their souls to be trapped within the photo and their bodies to seemingly go missing. a/n: okay so i don’t know if this was exactly what you wanted but i hope you like it!! keep in mind english isn’t my first language, sorry about any grammar mistakes! also, i didn’t know what version of Peter Parker you wanted, so i used Ned to fill in a part of the story, but if that’s not the one you wanted please ignore that (sorry sorry)

You hated the concept of high-school reunions, you thought they were invented for the jocks that were never really able to move on from their popularity.

But still, ten years after your high-school graduation, you were waiting for some courage to overcome you and help you enter the restaurant that was owned by a rich guy you used to study with and see all the people that had seen you over your teenage years. This wasn’t going to be a fun night.

“Y/n?” You heard a male voice call out, distant but getting closer. You turn around and face yourself with Peter Parker and there was absolutely no way he had gotten even prettier. Ever since your sophomore year you had a huge crush on him, you both had most of your classes together, and you always talked to each other.

“Peter!” You smile, and he gives you a hug, holding you by the waist. He still had the same smell, in ten years he didn’t switchcolognes.

“How have you been?” He questions after pulling away.

“Great actually, I got this job in an industry like six months ago and recently got promoted. How have you been?”

“Good, I mean, the usual stuff, work and all. Are you waiting on anyone?” He asks, looking around.

“No, I was just trying to not freak out about this. Doesn’t it make you feel old?”

“A bit, but I’ll handle it. You look great by the way.”

“Thanks, Parker. You too.” You can’t help but smile at his compliment. He opens the door for you and grins.

“Shall we?”

“Thank you.” You enter the restaurant and he follows you. Fidgeting on your purse’s strap, you try and find a table for you to sit, you could see a lot of the friend groups stayed the same. Your best friend has canceled on you the day before, she had gotten a flu or something, so Peter showing up was kind of a miracle for you.

“There’s my table. I asked a friend to save me a seat, but I’m pretty sure you can sit with us.” Peter said, pointing to the table with only one guy sitting in. You were pretty sure you recognized him but you didn’t remember his name. “But you don’t have to sit with me if you don’t want to. I just guessed since you said you were alone”

“I’d actually like to sit with you, if you don’t mind”

“No, of course I don’t.” He smiled timidly and walked you to the table.

“Hey Ned, remember y/n?” Peter asked and you quickly remembered. Ned, he always hung out with Peter. You felt bad for forgetting, but it had been 10 years.

“Hi Ned.” you shook his hand as he got up from his seat to reach yours. Peter pulled a chair for you right next to him, you politely thanked him and sat down, putting your purse on the chair to your left, as Peter sat to your right. “Thanks for letting me sit with you.”

“No problem.” Ned said, looking at Peter with a weird look on his face. It was like they were having a whole conversation in front of you without even speaking.

“I’m going to go get a drink, do you guys want something?” You asked, trying to do something nice. They both shook their heads in a no motion.

“Okay” you whispered and went to the bar.

“I can’t believe you got THIS lucky!” Ned whisper-shouted at Peter.

“I’m just doing her a favor, she was alone at the door, I just wanted to help her out.” He replied, running his hand through his hair, trying not to smile.

“Please, everyone knows how big of a crush you had on her during school. You spent four years drooling over her, and you called her almost every day for a year after we graduated! Don’t lie to me, Parker.”

“Okay, I did get lucky meeting her outside.” He said, playing with a napkin on the table. “Do you think I should try again?”

“I don’t know. I know she’s alone at that bar and you should buy her a drink.” Ned points to you, leaning on the marbled counter. “At least before someone else does.” He pointed to a guy who used to be in the basketball team walking towards you.

“I’ll be back” Peter stated, getting up and walking quickly towards you. He came up from behind and rested his hand on your waist, seeing the guy immediately stop walking and turning around.

“Hey” you greet him again, your heartbeat racing.

Peter waved to the bar attender who was distracted looking at something on her phone.

“What can I get you both?” She asked walking to you and Peter.

“A vodka-coke and…?” He looked at you, waiting for you to order.

“A martini, please.” You reply, watching him as he paid for your drink. “You don’t have to, really.”

“No, I want to.”

“Thank you, Peter.” The sound of his own name coming out of your mouth sent him to heaven but quickly brought him back. He looked at you, eyes squinting, he couldn’t read you. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t. Once your drinks arrived, Peter thanked the woman serving you both and led you back to the table with Ned. You had been laughing at a joke he made.

The night went on quickly, you and Peter had spent most of the night flirting, he had even tucked your hair behind your ear once.

Every time he made you laugh, you unconsciously would touch him, pushing his shoulder, a quick tap on his knee.

You didn’t really mind once his hand rested on your thigh. And you did not hate it once he started squeezing it while you laughed. You loved every second of it, but you just imagined it was friendly touch.

As the reunion came to an end and Ned had already left, you told Peter you were going home.

“Mind if I come with you? Just to make sure you get home safe.” He asked, giving your thigh a caring rub before he got up.

“Not at all.” You say as he helps you put your coat on.

“I’ll call a cab.” He states, giving you his hand to help you up, but not letting go as you do so. He takes you to the entrance, making small talk on the way there.

Once you got to the door you saw it was snowing. You couldn’t help but smile. He turned off his phone and told you the cab would be there soon. You recall telling Peter how much you loved snow when you both were younger.

“You want to go outside, don’t you?” Of course he remembered.

“I really do.” You say, chuckling as he pulled you by your hand, opening the door to get outside. It was cold but you loved every second of it.

“Remember that school trip in senior year?” You nodded, looking at him as he spoke.

“We sat together on the bus and you were so happy because it was snowing. I’d never seen someone so happy because of a natural phenomenon.” He laughed, turning to face you.

You looked at him, he was so pretty. He had snowflakes falling on his hair and a stupid smile.

“You know, that was probably when I realized how into you I was. I mean, I always knew, it just seemed surreal that my seventeen-year-old self could feel that much.”

“Peter.” You whispered, feeling your body heat up with how fast your blood was flowing.

“Y/n, my teenage self wouldn’t ever forgive me for not kissing you tonight. And my right now self probably won’t either.” He was so close you could feel him exhale, and finally he could read your expression. His right hand went behind your neck and pulled you in, leaning to kiss you.

It was a quick peck first, then you pulled him in again, open-mouthed. He had a citric taste in his mouth from a tequila shot he had before. You felt it strongly once his tongue entered your mouth. His hands were now on your hips pulling you as close to him as possible, yours were on his shoulder and behind his neck.

As soon as he heard a car, he pulled away, making you miss his mouth on yours.

“Thats our cab.” He pointed out, conducting you to the car.

“Right.” You say, laughing a bit.

For the whole ride he kept his hand interlaced with yours, you couldn’t hide your smile.

Once the car got to your place, you didn’t want him to go home.

“Do you want to come with me or…?” You ask, looking at him with hopeful eyes.

“A lot.” He answered, smiling like a little kid.

I don't think we've ever seen Assane do a genuine fourth-wall break before

Assane really expected that he could just show up and Claire would just fall at his feet

I'm surprised Benjamin is just allowed to continue working at his shop

Hang on I'm just now realizing that Juliette is at this funeral, too (she's standing in the second row behind Benjamin and Claire and honestly doesn't seem too upset about Assane's "death")

I like how in the flashback Babakar tells Assane that he reminds him of his mother and then it turns out she was a criminal

This seems to be around the time of Raoul's birthday again; he really can't catch a break on that

Episode 3

New shipping war just dropped: Guédira/Belkacem vs Guédira/Fleur

That bit where Claire was outright begging Benjamin to tell her Assane was alive and he couldn't...that was sad

But then it was followed by Benjamin doing the "uhh my FRIEND just died" act with Belkacem which was funny

This gang of thugs is trying a little too hard tbh

Assane's disguise in this episode is fucking terrible lol

The basketball coach disguise, on the other hand, is the only time I've genuinely thought he wasn't recognizable

Episode 4

Ironically that coach persona is probably the best parenting Assane has ever done

Claire? Doing things that are vaguely cool?? That feels illegal. Also, she looked so proud of herself for swiping that book, lol

Betraying Benjamin was certainly...a choice on Assane's part ("everyone disliked that")

This episode is going to devastate the show's Tumblr fandom

Episode 5

Assane trolling the shit out of Guédira will never not be funny

These 1998 flashbacks are pretty dark actually

Honestly the way Claire got that reveal out of Benjamin was very well-played on her part

Guédira out here looking like present-day Ringo Starr with that disguise

Aww look at Assane playing the matchmaker for Guédira and Belkacem, heh heh

This is easily one of the funniest episodes

Except Benjamin is straight up not having a good time -- it looks like he got beaten up in prison

Episode 6

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not totally sure Benjamin knows that Assane betrayed him. It's possible he just thinks that he fucked up with the bracelet and then missed a cue in the maze

"Pasta with ketchup" jesus fucking christ Claire that sounds horrendous (although I'm guessing the only reason they did that was because of the ketchup-bottle reveal)

Assane really has Claire's number because he's now seduced her twice under two different identities

IDK whether or not Raoul has figured out that the coach is his dad but it's funny that he still seemed to be shipping it either way

It's nice that we get to see Claire's more playful side in this season, like her messing with Assane by acting really flirty with "Alex" after she realizes they're the same person

INCREDIBLE casting for the younger and older versions of Keller tbh; they easily look like they could be the same person

Episode 7

What a nice family reunion...it would be a shame if something happened to it...

The flashbacks are significantly darker than the present timeline this time around

Guédira finally got to arrest Assane, good for him!

The scene at the train station with the letter from Assane to Claire sort of reminds me of the ending to A Tale of Two Cities, which I had to read for AP prep a while back

Oh look, Hubert Pellegrini is back

So they're CLEARLY setting up another season with this ending

The choice of people to show on the montage there was interesting, lol

I could see a Juliette antagonist arc happening tbh

Maybe Assane's mom isn't all she seems either

So I'm having a real normal one here, not obsessing over the trailer at all. I shall demonstrate that by this presentation, where I tried to put some of the events from the trailer in chronological order based on Ed's looks and the injuries on his face. Like one does.

First we have Kraken Ed, freshly post breakup, with his depression makeup, wearing all leather and trying to look unaffected and cool by day, but ugly crying over his repainted cake toppers by night. No injuries, just tear streaks.

Second we get dangly earring up-do Ed. He's had a rough night, but he got up and did his hair up all nice, showing off his earring and pearl necklace, and he replaced the Kraken makeup with some nice eyeliner. He's unwell, daydreaming and moping at the helm, but starting to take care of himself. Again, no ouchies (only heartbroken).

Then Something Bad happens to him. Is this where he falls/jumps/is thrown overboard, perhaps? Does he get in a fight? Either way next Ed version is this, I think:

Head bump scene Ed is a mess, and this time not emotionally. He's unconscious in the beginning of this clip, and even once he startles awake, he looks super out of it, and I don't think it's because of the head bonk. Poor dude is concussed. The entire right side of his face is bloodied (cut eyebrow), and not just a little. There's blood in his beard, from a nosebleed and a cut lip. There's a cut on his left cheek. Our boy really was put through the wringer. He doesn't even realise that's Stede there yet, I think. (Also, this might indeed be their first reunion?)

Then we get a couple of different scenes that are somewhat shortly after this. Like the awkward meeting of former shipmates, and Ed smoking the joint. In both you can clearly see the split lip, the cuts on his left cheek and right eyebrow, and the bruises on his right cheek/temple.

I'm unsure if he also has those cuts in the weird blue light in the woods scene, where he fires the gun and tries to hit someone over the head, but those have a really unreal vibe to them, so might be concussed Ed hallucinating?

He does have the injuries in the bunny scene. It's a bit hard to see and I couldn't get a good still of it, sorry this one still sucks and is the best I could do, but the lip cut is there. You can see it in the trailer video if you look for it. The others are covered by his hair.

The bruising and lip cut are still there, but fainter in the "I am your captain" scene, you can see the shadow of the bruising when Ed turns his head, and I did manage to capture the lip cut, while the eyebrow cut seems gone. So this is later than blunt smoking and awkward running into Stede.

Then we have this pic, and Ed at Jackie's and at the beach. (There's also my mouse, oops.)

The split lip has healed, the cut on the cheek is still very faintly visible if you know where to look. Some time has passed to allow him to start healing. I'd guess this is more towards the end of the season. Ed isn't only healing physically, he's also out of the Blackbeard leather get-up, trying something new, as he says to Jackie and Swede.

How long do you think it takes the WBP to realize you're gone? Obviously their priority is teach, and because you're the one who saved Thatch, they assume your position with them is secure and that you're probably hiding somewhere on board (like you do when everything becomes too much, when you need to get away) with the fruit tucked away safely. And after Teach is apprehended, they go looking for you and... You're long gone. Panic ensues. If this is the version where some of them are starting to regret things, this complicates matters. Marco is proud of you, but horrified. Where the hell are you? He's still obsessed, still needs to know you're alive, gors out flying just to get some hint that you're alive. I don't see the reader escaping to Crocodile and immediately going "okay fuck it mass murder is fine with me now operation utopia let's goooo" so he probably keeps that little bit away from you. Begrudgingly accepts that you're kind of a goody two shoes, even if that's comically at odds with your ability. But there is something to be said about the parallels between calling out to save Thatch and then going on to kill Crocodile's would-be assassin yourself.

ooooooooh yeah, character growth in the "this isn't really how you're suppose to cope, but this is what happened."

After being forced to bond with pirates you want nothing to do with - or want nothing to do with enough that you ran away at the very least, and coming into things with Crocodile - who seems COMPLETELY DISINTERESTED in you beyond offering you the shelter you've requested. Who then goes on to teach you how to deal with what you now posses.

The difference in that would be jarring too. No one's fawning over you, no one's watching you sleep, or drugging your food, or making you participate in anything. You don't have to get permission for stuff, and while you're staying low to avoid detection, there's nothing forcing you into a room or space.

The vibes when the others learn about you too. Relief that you're alive, jealously that you're with HIM, anger that you ran away, maybe some humility in there because of Marco that you ran away because they drove you to it.

Which, yeah, okay, but they're better than Crocodile, they'll prove it.

But doing that means stealing you back, far as they're concerned.

Alabasta is effectively two wars in one as Crocodile moves to take over the country while the WBP move to capture you. In the end Crocodile ends up in Impel Down, along with Ace. You barely get away, and the Moby takes enough damages it has to stay on the island for repairs.

Teach gets free in the chaos and ends up with a different devil fruit - he's the one that still turns Ace into the Marines, a feat he only manages cause the little firebug was exhausted between looking for you, dealing with the war, and doing what he could to keep Luffy alive.

Maybe you even end up traveling with the Straw hats for a while. Robin knows who you are, but she also knows that without Crocodile you're docile, and you're pragmatic - Crocodile lost because he underestimated Luffy. Luffy's not an assassin, and Crocodile's alive. You're not really a revenge type of person.

Maybe you become Luffy's shadow. There's no darkness around him, but he's safe to hide around. You keep so quiet and transformed into shadow for so long that it's easy to forget you're there. You don't show your hand until it's Impel Down and you're protecting Crocodile from some attack or another.

Nice reunion, he's happy to see you for a lot of reasons, glad to have his shadow back. Maybe you're why Ace survives Marineford, and Ace knows it too.

Thatch owes you his life, now so does Ace. In exchange you just want to be left alone. That's a pretty good setup. ^_^

It's my random thoughts about Pit Babe the series ep 12:

What can I say? I still have so much fun watching this series. I know there are some loose ends and plot holes, but frankly I don't really care.

▪️ Way saved Pete from Kenta who fled the scene as soon as possible. It was really the episode where Way finally stopped spending all his time drinking and drowning his sorrow. He finally decided to properly apologize to Babe (even if he knew he would not be forgiven) and help everyone take Tony down. He used his power to help get some documents and tried his best to show remorse. I'm still not his best fan but it was a nice change from previous episodes where he was just crying and feeling hopeless. We can thank Pete who helped him a lot.

▪️ Speaking about Pete, this guy really see everyone good side even if they don't show it. He believes Way, still think that Kenta is a good person deep down (which I agree) and do his best to save all children taken by Tony. I still think their plan to do it isn't exactly the best but it works for the series so what should I say?

▪️ Babe really wants to put an end to Tony's actions and he does everything to get it. He didn't want to forgive Way, but to have his end goal happen, he accepted him in the team. When Way asked him if one day they could go back to how their relationship was, he wasn't entirely against it. He simply told him, it wouldn't happen soon but they might get there. Even if he is still really sad over Charlie supposed-death, he is poised and ready to fight no matter what. Babe is impressive.

▪️ Jeff was captured by Kenta to be sold to the new auction, since every special child Tony had, disappeared or is fighting against him. What is the point of seeing the future, if you can't save yourself from being kidnapped?! I know they told us, he can't really control his power but it's very unfortunate he couldn't this time. I was impressed about how calm he was.

▪️ Alan was trying is best to find him and was helped by his "family" (Can we say that Pit Babe is a BL type version of Fast & Furious ?). North and Sonic have always been helping him but I'm glad we saw Kim. Even if I get two minutes of him, I'm happy. I'm attached to this character. By the end of the episode, Alan saved Jeff. The power of love... always here when you need it. I only have one question: Why did they leave the children behind? Is there a good reason?

▪️ Finally, I'll talk about Kenta... It's been several episode where Kenta was abused by Tony and this one was no exception. I feel so sad for this man. He truly believed Tony was his father but unfortunately Tony never saw him as his child because he is not "special". It broke my heart to see Kenta kneeling and begging Tony. I wish he would understand how he could be loved and treated well if he just stopped helping him and leave! I hope in the next episode he will be free from Tony. He must be saved like the other children taken by Tony.

▪️ Oh and of course, we all knew the man who helped Charlie and Jeff is Babe's father. Anyone was surprised?!

▪️ Charlie also saved Babe in the last two minutes of this episode. and we'll get the reunion we were hoping between them, in the next one. It's a happy ending guaranteed. I just feel like 13 episodes is too light to tight up everything. Why didn't they make 14? Is there a good reason for this choice?

Anyway, Friday will feel empty when this series will end.

Anesagi: I was wanting to head to the gelato shop! When we came here for a shoot, Tenn had some and it looked really good! 

Tsumugi: Oh! I wanted to go too! Riku-san saw it on the program and recommended it to me…. 

Anesagi: Oh, really? Then, it’s settled. You have to kick off a trip with something sweet, after all. 

Okarin: Then let’s all go! …. Um, do you think that huge line is the one for the gelato shop….? 

Shirou: It does seem so…. Please feel free to wait on the bench over there, I can go and get something for everyone. 

Anesagi: Oh my, I didn’t realize you were such an attentive guy. It might be difficult to get through the crowd, so I may as well come with. 

Tsumugi: Ah, I’ll come too! It’d be difficult for one person to carry for everyone…! 

Anesagi: That’s also true…. Alright, in the meantime I’ll go and get drinks for everyone! We can divide and conquer!

Anesagi: Mmm, it’s so good! It’s not too sweet, and has a mature chocolate flavor. 

Tsumugi: The strawberry flavor is great too since it has large pulp…! What flavor did you guys choose? 

Banri: I went with a simple milk flavor. It’s rich but it has a refreshing aftertaste, so it’s easy to eat! 

Shirou: I also thought about getting the milk, but went with pistachio this time. It seems Okazaki-san got the peach flavor. 

Okarin: When I see something like this, I think about how Momo-kun would like the peach flavor, so I just end up choosing it. 

Anesagi: I understand…! I was told to forget about work and just enjoy myself, but I can’t help but look at things from the point of view of those kids. 

Tsumugi: Me too, I was thinking how if we did a collaboration with a gelato shop, I would want it served with rainbow colors…. 

Banri: That’d be nice! If it were for MEZZO, I’d want not only each color but also a pudding flavor. I wonder… if a chili pepper flavor could be adjusted….? 

Anesagi: How wonderful! For TRIGGER, I think bitter chocolate would suit their image. 

Shirou: I’d like to do a collaboration with the curry bread that Okazaki-san and Ogami-san bought. I can ask the members what ingredients they’d like for the filling. 

Tsumugi: Just thinking about it makes me excited….! 

Banri: …… Then, we should have the curry bread before it gets cold! We bought a variety, but what kind would you like? 

Shirou: Then I’ll go for the special super spicy one. 

Okarin: Super spicy?! You’re brave! 

Shirou: I can handle spicy food pretty well.

Banri: I once made keema curry with spices and got really into it, so lately I’ve been really enjoying it! Believe it or not, it even got the President’s seal of approval! 

Tsumugi: O-oh yeah, that’s true…! 

Shirou: But is there even such a thing as being good or bad at rock-paper-scissors? 

Okarin: There is…. Just how many times did my brother make me cry when I was little…..

Anesagi: Ugh, this seems like a dark past. I’d rather not ask for details. 

Okarin: I think that’s for the best. After we finish eating, let’s take a stroll around the beautiful and lovely streets of Karuizawa!

Okarin: …… Oh, look over there! It’s a rare bird. 

Shirou: It’s a tit. There’s two of them, so do you think they’re a pair? 

Tsumugi: They’re pecking each other with their beaks, how sweet…! I wonder if they’re grooming. 

Anesagi: Somehow… it feels like the hustle and bustle of the city isn’t real….

Okarin: ….. Here, I’ll provide some entertainment! When Re:vale did their uninhabited island project, they tried to sing to birds so they wouldn’t fly away. Would you like to try it?!

Tsumugi: Do you think gentle songs would be more successful? 

Banri: If it’s a gentle song we need, then that would be MEZZO’s specialty! 

Anesagi: Then, how about Ogami-san and Utsugi-san? I’m curious about Utsugi-san’s singing ability. 

Shirou: Ehh? Is that alright? I’m quite fond of “miss you” so I often hum it in the car. 

Banri: Really?! 

Okarin: It seems like it’ll be a great duet!

Banri: ….. So basically that’s why we were just sightseeing in Karuizawa together. What are you doing here, Morino? 

Morino: Ohh, so that’s how it is…! Actually, I’m a photographer. I was here in Karuizawa to have a photoshoot with a model for a wedding brochure tomorrow. 

Banri: A photographer?! That’s amazing, Morino! You’ve always loved photography, and now your dreams have come true! 

Morino: They have! …Except…. I’m having some trouble right now. 

Okarin: Trouble? 

Morino: ….. Yeah…. Wait. Ogami, how tall are you now?

Banri: …. I have a bad feeling about this. 

Morino: ….Yeah, yeah! I think it’ll work! 

Banri: What’ll work?! 

Morino: I have a favor to ask, Ogami! Today, the final adjustments on the wedding outfit for Banff (3) are supposed to be made, but we can’t get into contact with the fitting model. At this rate, tomorrow’s photoshoot could be postponed! 

Morino: So I was thinking, for old time’s sake, could you help me out and be my fitting model?! 

Tsumugi & Okarin & Banri & Anesagi & Shirou: HUH….?! 

Banri: W-wait a minute! Even if it’s just for a fitting, I’m just a normal person….?! 

Morino: But your body shape will fit perfectly! Right now I’m desperately looking for a fitting model, but I can’t find someone who can come to Karuizawa on such short notice. 

Morino: So I’m in a bit of a pinch this month. If the photoshoot gets delayed, then I…. .

Banri: I- I get it…! I understand your situation, but I’m not here on my own. 

Tsumugi: It’s alright, Banri-san! 

Banri: Huh?! 

Shirou: We all just talked about it and since we don’t have any plans after this, we agreed you should help out. 

Banri: Huuh?! 

Anesagi: Wouldn’t it be fun to see you as a fitting model? 

Okarin: I think there’s a lot to be learned about dealing with unexpected situations! 

Tsumugi: You got this, Banri-san! 

Banri: Aren’t you being pretty eager, Takanashi-san?! But, even if Morino is fine with it, it doesn’t mean the other party will give the OK!

Morino: I just called to check and they’d like me to bring you! 

Banri: Huuuuuh?!?!

Keema is a type of Indian curry with minced meat and vegetables. 

The literal translation is something like “Have you done something?!” but with the context of his reply, I went with “Do you have experience?” 

I assume he’s talking about Banff, Canada? Since it’s a resort town that is commonly used for a wedding destination. 

Side note: I was actually curious if “Morino” was the name of the friend that introduced Banri and Yuki since that was a classmate we knew about, but I don’t think he ever got a name since I couldn’t find one lol

V.W.P 2nd One-Man Live Gensho II

The conclusion of VWP's Sinka live series finally happened! I was so excited for this I was literally counting down the days. Piedpiper and VWP themselves had been hyping up excitement for it all during the last few months of 2023 and what made me look forward to it even more was all the versus battles they had teased.

They started by performing songs from their 1st album and Resonance was first. They ended off with Resonance at the mini live they held a week before Yoyogi Wars, so I had a feeling they'd perform it first! Also, Resonance is just a good song to introduce VWP in general. The girls called out to the audience yelling "Yoyogiii!!!" and i think it was cute how their confidence in interacting with the audience grew the longer the live went on.

Fire started blowing during Secret and the effect it created was great! While VWP can't be physically on the stage themselves, the fire created a physical way of interacting with the audience.

"We are....VWP!!!!" While introducing themselves they got a little surprised at how the audience cheered back at them and it was cute. The only other time they had an audience of this size was when Kaf held her 3rd one man live at Budokan, but covid restrictions were still being held then, so the audience couldn't cheer. It was cute seeing their reactions to the audience's calls and cheers (they deserve it!). They were giggly all throughout the first MC, I'm guessing they were both excited and nervous (even though Rim denied she was nervous). Right after this they performed Reunion and VWP's harmonies together were so gorgeous, Joucho's high note was godly as well. Then before performing Destiny the audience chanted the VWP! VWP! without being prompted to and you could hear someone in the audience going "sugoi!"

VWP then transformed into red versions of their outfits and sung duets! (and for some reason, all of the duets included Rim) I have to say that out of all their outfits, I liked the red change in Koko's outfit the most. I really hope they release 素的 (Idyllic), the Rim and Koko duet, somewhere on streaming services soon, its so good! This section also included a new duet featuring Rim and Haru and it had a great guitar solo, I hope they release it soon as well.

Around an hour into the live, the versus battles started! First was Koko and Ciel, with a new song!! I was originally expecting them to sing songs they already had but I guess Kamitsubaki wanted to liven the battles up. I've always felt like Koko and Ciel's voices would match up nicely. Unexpectedly, their new song felt very dark and powerful, and it even included a little rap section for Koko. After this was Rim and Guiano's battle, and they performed one of the songs from their collab album. It's always nice to see them sing together.

Joucho's idol persona brought back with Valis! Joucho turned into a fully-fledged idol this time and danced along with them (Joucho didn't dance all the choreo with them, there were some moments of her just swaying and waving her arms but it was still cute lmao). Their new song they sang together was sassy and upbeat, perfectly matching their energies. It also looks like Valis got new colors in their hair? Myu having half-green half-red hair looked great.

The sauna lovers! (Haru and Azusagawa!) They performed their new collab song Friction. I feel like these two are the "cool" members in their respective labels, their voices are both so handsome and they both know how to grate their voices and make them rough at the right moment, Azusagawa's voice was cracking so much yelling out "Yoyogi!!" but it was great! But then they both have moments where their voices whispery and soft too! And even if they both have cool images, they both have cute sides to them (a few weeks ago, Azusagawa was being called Azu-nyan by Haru during a collab livestream??????) They've been such a cool pairing to see since they sang together at Kamitsubaki Fes '23 and I hope they continue to collaborate with each other! And as for Azusagawa, he's definitely someone who deserves to perform in front of a big audience, he's so good at hyping up performances and is so full of confidence!

And then...the performance I was the most excited for! Albemuth and Kaf! The crowd yelled out Asu and Aru's names right before they sang and it warmed up my Albemuth fan heart. The new song they performed sounded very heroic, almost like an anime OP. Albemuth and Kaf sang so theatrically, like heroines! I love how they traded off lines to each other, I'm so glad Albemuth and Kaf were able to sing with each other again. And god, Aru's deep voice throughout this performance was great (really bringing out the Aimer in her), the Zan live chat kept complimenting it too. This was our first glimpse of Albemuth's kuro outfits in a performance and they look great. So does Kaf's new outfit! Kaf had a red flower in her hair, maybe to match Albemuth? (I'm being delusional) I missed these two...even though they already held a cover live last month.... I can't wait to see them perform at their own live in April 🥺.

After Discotheque, they surprised us with VIP and VWP singing together and Valis dancing! They used smoke this time!

And then VWP and VIP performed the most jaw-dropping song of the live, a new song called The Voice of A.I. The title of it already sounds like its full of emotion, but the song itself was just so powerful. Each VWP girl and their respective Cevio AI counterpart traded lines off of each other and it really pulled at everyone's heartstrings. It's been well, a month after the live, but I still think about this song's verse every day. The chorus was great as well! and Kaf's high note! and how all 10 of them harmonized! and also everything about it. Valis were also dancing in the back, and I don't think I've ever seen them dance so dramatically, they showed off a cool side of themselves! And the song was long, probably like 7 minutes long! To me, it was the climax of the live. After the live happened, Kashii Moimi tweeted that she was the one who produced it, and knowing her, the lyrics are probably so devastating and complex, I can't wait to read them! (This song seems like sort of a collaboration project between several Kamitsubaki groups, you have VWP and VIP singing, Valis dancing, Kashii Moimi producing, and several of Kamitsubaki's graphic designers and illustrators working on the MV playing in the background). In a world where AI is growing rapidly and is becoming a looming concern we can't avoid, it's interesting how VWP are incorporating AI voices made from themselves into their careers despite the fact that it's possible the creation of their AI voices could replace them one day. The thought of AI having a voice, of how the root of what AI produces comes from humans themselves is something I didn't think of VWP exploring (at the moment it seems like a controversial subject). As the musical isotope IP expands and as their voicebanks develop and become more lifelike, VWP's relationship with them is rapidly changing. And in our lives as well, we're just going to have to wait until time passes to see how AI grows and becomes more incorporated in humanity's daily lives. (And also, if it overtakes us). Really, what other vtuber or virtual singer group is exploring subjects like this?

Leading up to the transformation of VWP into a new era of their career, each girl sung one of the new songs performed at their own respective Sinka live. Behind them, each girl had a montage of their Sinka live playing in the background and it was nice to have a recap of how VWP have been leading up to this moment throughout 2023. And not only that, it's also a recap of how each girl has evolved and grown. Joucho's transition into an elegant multi-colored and multi-faceted form, Rim's reaffirmation with her ideals and identity after studying abroad, Koko's determination to be her compassionate self despite her vulnerabilities, Haru's rebirth into a more powerful and aggressive form, Kaf's growth into an independent and mature adult. Not only have they grown as people, their music and worldviews have changed with them. And so has the quality of their MVs and lives...Kamitsubaki and the artists themselves evolve more and more every day. Being a fan of anything has never been this fun. And it's emotional too! No matter how virtual they are or how much of themselves they can't share with us, it doesn't change that their art and music is fueled with so much soul and real feelings.

And then...! VWP's new outfits were revealed! The name for it is Yatagarasu. It's the name for a three-legged bird in Chinese mythology apparently? I think they look great. It's nice to see the changes made to their hair and changes in aesthetics while keeping somewhat similar silhouettes. I wasn't expecting the new outfits to look so dark and edgy, but I do like that they look more mature (Koko's new outfit is mature in another aspect though lmao).

Check out them incorporating more choreographed movements into their performances. It's been something each girl has started doing! (It's funny to think they were all really stiff performers in the beginning).

VWP introducing their new outfits and talking about their new hair changes. They asked "kawaii?" and the audience screamed "kawaii!!!" back at them.

Fog!! Them performing a medley of the songs Kanzaki wrote for them was so emotional. We're really saying goodbye to the Kanzaki era, aren't we?

Koko's new center song, Alliance! To open this song, they chanted "Virtual Witch...Phenomenon!! Virtual Witch...Phenomenon Time!!" and you can already tell this song is great at hyping up concerts. They also did some hand movements during the chorus and the audience picked it up pretty quick and copied their hand movements. Every time I watch this song I get excited. I think it's funny they chose Koko to center this song when she was having such a hard time pronouncing the word "phenomenon" some time ago.

Rim's new center song, Confidence! The verse starts off just as eerie and edgy as her own songs, but then the heroic VWP-like chorus hits and it turns into a compelling and song that combines Rim's and VWP's worldviews. For me, Joucho was the 2nd center of this song, her gentle whisper-like lines were great. Koko's bridge was great at well, her vibrato is always so heart-wrenching.... The song ended off with a big burst of fire too!

Haru's new center song, Emotion! The audience cheered immediately when they recognized it. It was great seeing the girls jam out while rapping, but then immediately switching to their emotional singing afterwards. Joucho's high note rap was great, definitely one of my favorite parts of the song.

Joucho's new center song, Trump Card! This song was used as the OP for the anime Cardfight Vanguard Divinez which premiered a few hours before the concert. It's a song that truly feels like suits a heroic battle. VWP introduced the band members during this song, and it's always nice to see them rock out on their instruments and show off how talented they are in their own solos. (They're an integral part of Kamitsubaki's lives!) VWP also posed dramatically to end off the song.

Joucho gave the audience a heart!

During the MC afterwards, they posed to introduce their new songs. Cute! Koko kept stumbling on her words during the MC and of course she did. (She tried playing it off and everyone laughed at her, oh Koko.) They then spoke in long speeches about their feelings surrounding this live, and everyone grew quiet and listened immediately. Talking about their feelings provoked them to get teary eyed, and the audience started screaming "ganbatte!"

After Joucho started crying they gathered around each other and it was so heartwarming.... They weren't only thanking the audience they were also expressing their gratitude for each other and it was cute how Rim and Koko bowed to Joucho when she said she loved the members.

They were all crying a lot, well, except for Kaf, who apparently cries the least out of the VWP members. Koko stumbling on her words while crying was cute. Rim also coughed quite a lot, I remember worrying about how she would sing afterwards.

The last song they performed was The Witches (true), and this was the song they allowed the audience to film on their phones. They also had the Zan-live chat projected onto the screens, and I remember the chat was full of people spamming "V.W.P! V.W.P!" throughout the whole song. I was even compelled to spam the chat as well. During the last chorus, they shot confetti into the air! After the live, apparently the audience were collecting the confetti and I even saw a few people selling them on Mecari.

They ended the live by saying their parting words, thank yous and goodbyes. Some fans yelled out "daisuki!!!" and rim yelled it back. Koko even cried again 😭. I'm really surprised with how much they said "thank you" and "i love you" during this live.

The keys have all been gathered! They came together to create a tree/portal that VWP walked into? Who knows what it means.

After the credits rolled, they unveiled that VWP's Sinka live series was just the beginning. Sinka lives 7 through 9 are planned for 2024. And included in this is...VWP's anime!!!!! And the crowd goes wild. I remember thinking an anime was so out of Kamitsubaki's scope and that VWP shouldn't be forced to do voice-acting work if they didn't want to anyway. But I'm so glad! I hope it goes well, there's a chance it could extend VWP's IP far, even internationally, with how anime has become so popular across the globe. I can't help but wonder which studio is behind it.... (Flat studio? maybe?) Also announced...VWP's 2nd album..collaboration music with Project Cold..our first look at Kamitsubaki City Ensemble (the musical isotope rhythm game)..Shamanism 3 (Haru's 3rd one-man live)..Piedpiper's mysterious new Kamitsubaki Verse project..and auditions for Sinsekai.

Originally I had thought that the purpose of the Sinka live series was Kamitsubaki taking a step further to make Kamitsubaki City feel more real (or a step towards making Piedpiper's metaverse dreams feel more real lmao) After watching the Sinka live series progress throughout 2023, it's not just about getting a first look at Kamitsubaki City's various avenues in 3D. At the root of the Sinka lives is VWP themselves, who they were before they became virtual singers, how they have progressed throughout their careers, and how they have changed into who they are now. It's nice to know that as Kamitsubaki are working at a rapid pace trying to expand VWP's lore and IP, VWP and their music are still at the heart of it all. Each of them individually releasing some of their most heartfelt songs during the Sinka live series confirms it even more. After reading some of Piedpiper's tweets, I feel as though the Sinka live series affirms VWP's relationships with their virtual singer selves. (I'm sure they each have their own feelings about their virtual identities, however Piedpiper has been highlighting the constrictions and benefits of being virtual artists recently.) And it seems as though their relationships with being virtual artists are going to continue to evolve as they constantly innovate what virtual artists can do. As we saw throughout the various Sinka lives, VWP and their alter 3 selves (Piedpiper's term for their fictional selves created for the VWP lore) became one. It's obvious with all the new projects they've announced that VWP are going to take on more narrative-based projects, which means VWP are going to be voice-acting and challenging themselves more and more. Which is great for those that have been waiting for VWP's lore to be developed! I'm glad it feels like VWP and Kamitsubaki are diving headfirst into developing the VWP lore. With Gensho II starting off 2024, the future is going to contain so much for Kamitsubaki!

The older cousins also love her a lot and make her join their card games all the time; you're gonna have to tell her that no, she cannot gamble with them because they will go broke because of her

She flatters the tias so much, they all love her dearly and they constantly ask you to bring her around

The younger cousins LOVE playing with her and she’s the one that amuses them; plays hide and seek with them a lot and she can see them but she pretends as though she can’t

Girl could give a run for their money when it comes to dancing, the other couples could never

She’s dancing bachata, cumbia, merengue, and salsa with you and no matter what your dancing level is, she ALWAYS makes you look good with her

Her hair is so long and the tias all want to practice hairstyles on her; she patiently lets them and says something like, “Oh, I look so good in this hairstyle! Thank you so much!”

When it’s time to play the loteria, somehow, she’s beating everyone in each and every round

Cue to her shouting “LOTERIA” very excitedly and everyone’s like “nombre niña, estas bien loca”

Bring her around for every family reunion, she’s suddenly part of the family and everyone is expecting your wedding now

━ MIDARI IKISHIMA ;

She terrifies the younger cousins and the older cousins are like “WOW YOU’RE SO COOL JOIN US”

Probably dances hardcore to reggaeton, like she knows how to dance to it and it’s impressive if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s half tempted to dance reggaeton on the brick wall 

Takes three plates at a time and somehow balances the paper plates with no problem, it’s a talent and unfortunately, she will not share her food with you because everything smells good and she’s going to try everything

The carne asada makes her astroproject, probably goes back to ask the tio at the grill for more (make sure to pull her away before she asks for him to just pile it all on her plate, she needs to leave some for the others)

One of the younger cousins timidly asks her how she got her eyepatch; with one look at you, she delves into a tale on how she lost her eye to some pirates

She’s a great storyteller so the kids are in fits of giggles and wonder by the end of her tall tale, then they think she’s not that scary anymore and drag her to play with them against her own will

Oh god, if there’s a piñata, she is DEMOLISHING it, this is why everyone places her at the back because she’s not going to give anyone else a chance

Doesn’t even care about the candy, but she probably takes a lollipop or two to take to Runa

The tios think she’s cool so they ask for her to come around more but trust me, she scares the daylights out of the tias so they are not too eager for her to come back

━ ITSUKI SUMERAGI ;

She is having the TIME OF HER LIFE 

She thinks that your family is so much fun, because everyone’s all over the place but everyone joins in with the others

Definitely plays pool with the guys and she ends up beating them all; hence for the rest of the party, all of them try to defeat her but none of them can

Eats so much and she’s pouring all the compliments onto the tias and they’re actually bonding over her nails and how cute they are

Cut to you going to the bathroom for a few moments and when you come back, they’re gossiping about some major drama happening between a CEO of some company and one of Itsuki’s father’s employees

When it’s time to go dance, she is dancing with reckless abandon with you

Probably knows the song Lamento Boliviano, requests it and when it’s on, she’s jumping up and down with you, screaming the lyrics at the top of her lungs

Listens to Pitbull, I’m not hearing any criticism, probably requests him too so that she’s bouncing around the dance floor, screaming the lyrics at the top of her lungs

When it comes to the pan con cafe and there’s a lot of it, she’s probably stealing a slice of the tres leches and a bunch of conchas and other sweet bread, she’s gotta have a taste for everything

Dips some of her bread in coffee because you tell her it’s good like that, it’s become her favorite snack now, she’ll definitely take more sweet bread home so that she can dip them in coffee

You gossip with her about the beef you have with some of your primas and she’s like O_O while looking at said person

She cannot keep it on the downlow, but she’s so much fun to gossip with

━ MARY SAOTOME ;

When you said carne asada, she assumed a family reunion and she didn’t get dressed up but when she walked in, she saw how underdressed she was compared to everyone else

She’s so embarrassed, poor girl, she wants to go home and change immediately

Mary is so awkward at first, she doesn’t know what to do so she sits on the sofa the whole time until one of the bolder cousins walks over to talk to her and eventually, she’s engaged in conversation with the others

The primos are cool with her and the primas are asking her what’s her skincare routine as well as what she does with her hair

You have to smack a drink out of her hand because it was an abandoned alcoholic drink

Mary sees the ring that the older primos have made where they’re chanting drunkenly while forcing someone to be in the middle of the circle dancing, she is terrified

She does a simple two step dance with you but when she sees the others dancing bachata at a speed unknown to man, she literally says, “Teach me how to dance to that.”

Records videos of you dancing with a family friend’s son, cackling while you look lost and confused

She eats a lot of the food, definitely likes the sweet stuff

Oh God, she takes one bite of the tres leches, you turn away and suddenly she’s back with the entire tray and everyone is too drunk or immersed in whatever they’re doing to catch her

Takes the tray home, she won’t share unfortunately

She loves your family, they may be a little overboard but they are a lot of fun

━ KIRARI MOMOBAMI ;

She’s hesitant at first because she’s scared that your family will think that she’s a monster or she’s going to drive you away or something on that line because of her status

Turns out, none of them know her, they’re all just secretly judging her so that they see if she will gain their approval or not

But the first people that interact with her are the kids, mainly because they see her hairstyle and think that it’s really pretty

The most drunk tio goes over to her and just slurs out, “Have you ever seen a tree?”

“Yes.”

“Have you seen two trees? One of them’s always gotta be leaning to the right.”

Kirari does not understand a word he says but you’re howling with laughter at how confused she looks and how this uncle is always the one trying to give advice but sounding absolutely out of his mind

If there are goodie bags, she takes five of them. No, they are not for anyone but her. 

She’s definitely involved with the chisme, she’s always saying stuff that happens at her school

Kirari: And so, the girl ended up going back to her ex--

The tias: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

She has a lot of fun watching your family have fun but she does dance with you at some point

She doesn’t even realize what time it is, but it’s midnight when she checks and yet the party is still going strong which makes her worry: “When does the party end?”

A bunch of primos are running past, yelling about how the sad songs haven’t come up yet; she’s slightly concerned but more amused

━ RIRIKA MOMOBAMI ;

She’s another one that’s really shy about being there because she doesn’t think that she should be there since it’s a family reunion

You assure her that “a bunch of my older cousins are gonna arrive with their own significant others”

When she gets there, she finds out that there’s a running joke about the significant others being in a club about not being “officially” part of the family

The tias dote on her so much and they’re like “ay que linda es!! es tan bonita!!”

She has to endure them asking about her hair and what she puts in it because it’s so healthy; also has to deal with the tias trying to put her hair into different hairstyles

She’s determined not to sit around so she timidly asks if she can help with anything; cue her actually enjoying her time with the tias as they serve food

Says that it’s the best food she’s tasted in a while (secretly thinks it’s because it’s homemade with love and she’s had food that was not made with the same kind of love)

When she goes home, she immediately asks you if she can go to more of your family reunions

They might have been very rowdy but they actually acted like the family that she wished she had

━ SAYAKA IGARASHI ;

Automatically, when she walks in, everyone can already see that she’s so good to you so it’s funny when everyone immediately treats her like  family and she’s like ???? I don’t know any of you ????

The tias ADORE her, they think she’s so fun

“Eres la secretaria de la presidenta?” They are so impressed by her being Kirari’s secretary and they are asking if she has any beef with anyone

Poor Sayaka gets caught up with the drunk tios offering advice and money to which you literally tell her, “Tell them whatever, just get that money.”

The kids think that she’s so pretty and the youngest cousin actually asks her, “Are you a princess?”

She gets her hair braided by the drunk tias that are ranting about men and especially their ex husbands, she gets all the chisme and you're shaking her to tell you because your aunts won't even tell you the time of the day

Goes to a room and finds a sleeping baby there and she's like, "Why is there a whole child here?"

Probably can do a little two step but she isn't as crazy as the others

She really likes being there, your family is welcoming but damn, the drama going on is better than the one at school

━ RUNA YOMOZUKI ;

She’s so much fun, she fits right in at the party to the point where you doubt if she doesn’t have some latin blood in her

The second she walks in, she’s greeting everyone like they’re old friends even though none of them know her but they’re greeting back eagerly, she even goes up to the shyest person and eagerly says hi to them

A menace when it comes to dancing, she steps on your feet and she also dances with other people, she’s just a chaotic mess when dancing but she’s trying and that’s what matters

The food is incredible to her, but the sweets are even better; she steals so many bags of chips and shoves them in her bag as she tries more of the sweets

The cake is Mil Hojas and with one slice, she’s already in love with this cake, says yes automatically when your aunt offers her more cake

Nah because she's a menace at video games, she plays with your primos and beats every single one of them

Has made some children cry when she wins and she doesn't even flinch, she just eats another lollipop

Enjoys the parties and if she could (probably will), she'd drag the entire student council with her

He doesn't go and you cannot convince him. He is afraid of family reunions, the end.

They definitely know her, or at least the cousins do because the tios and tias are just looking at her like any other significant other of their nieces and nephews

Some of the cousins don’t know her and others are like omg ??? you’re dating our cousin ?? how ??

It doesn’t matter what she says about only eating a plate of food, girl is gonna get more and everyone gives her containers of food to take once they realize that she has never eaten this before

Her manager is afraid of the amount of containers she has taken

Cannot stop talking about the party to the council, she wants to go to another one because it's crazy

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, adores her

She’s also another favorite cousin where she walks in and everyone’s like “REI QUE ONDAS”

Some of your cousins that are your age are definitely in love with her but secretly, for the sole reason that they see how she treats you and looks at you

GREAT DANCER, AMAZING DANCER, CAN DO NO WRONG

She’s so good at slow dancing too that whenever a slow song comes on, she has eyes for no one but you and it’s so cute 

The cousins that like her in the back: (punching the air because they wish it was them)

Oh my God, she's so good with babies, they cry and she's singing a lullaby which just makes them sleep and the tias go, "Y ERES UNA BRUJA O QUE?"

Let her go with the tios because they're now talking about the guys at their work and how some of them got their windows shattered and others got fired, it's so boring and she swears she fell asleep during the economy talk

It's like midnight and the party is still going, which makes her question at what time you fall asleep

You tell her to shove the centerpieces into her bag, it's tradition and that way no little kid tries to get it

Rei just goes, "Yeah, we're getting married next, probably" and EVERYONE (except some cousins) goes, "YEAHHHHH, Y/N WON'T BE ALONE!!"

Not appreciated, Rei has to bite back her laughter as you two leave

At first, she wanted to bring Miri along because of what you had told her about the party, but that’s when you shook your head frantically, saying that it was better for Miyo to get a taste of the party herself

The invitation said 3 pm, but you said to wait until 4 pm to get there; she didn’t understand why

“If we get there at 3, no one else is going to be there and they’re going to ask us to help with the food when we’re literally their guests, don’t worry about it.”

Her makeup is on point and she carries herself like a princess, but she falters when she’s greeted by everyone

“MIRA, TIENE UNA NOVIA?” “NO ME MIENTAS-”

The primos are all surrounding her and they’re looking between you and Miyo, to which Miyo is genuinely confused because she doesn’t know what’s going on until you say, “Yeah, she’s my girlfriend, so what?”

“We thought you would die alone!” “We were praying on your downfall!” “Are you getting married?”

Ah. So this is what you meant by your family is a bit nosy when it comes to other people’s significant others.

Since this is the first time that she has ever been to a party hosted by your family, she’s really awkward but she does see how everyone else treats that one boyfriend that has been here tons of times; it’s her goal to become as well liked as him

The tias are offering her many plates of food and to be polite, she takes multiple but at the end of the day, she actually finishes all of them because the food is incredible

Takes several goodie bags for Miri, she thinks that she’ll like them and she makes you swear that next time, she can bring her so that Miri can go in the bouncy house

“Sure, just be careful since my cousins will flip it over with kids in it.”

“I’m sorry, WHAT?”

A major sweetheart, everyone loves her

The event you take her to is a quince and she doesn’t know exactly what to expect in the party, so she goes along with what you say

She sees the pretty dress that the quinceañera wears and she really likes how for these parties, people go all out for the dresses and always make it look pretty; she definitely loves the theme of pink

When you tell her that it’s tradition to take the centerpiece, she’s troubled for a second up until she sees you pulling out a large bag from inside your smaller bag so that you can take as many centerpieces as possible

The entire family sees her with you and they’re like :O

The older boy cousins almost try to flirt with her until she tells them she’s with you; prepare for relentless teasing from them about “Y COMO PUDISTE SALIR CON ALGUIEN COMO ELLA?”

All you gotta say is that unlike them, you actually have a girlfriend and they’ll be an emotional wreck

The tias definitely ask her where she’s from, they have to know everything about her and she is so polite to them to the point where there’s no way they don’t love her in the end

The girl definitely listens to songs in Spanish, she listens to Chayanne (no I will not hear criticism) and her favorite songs are Tiempo de Vals, Torero, and Dejaria Todo

When the quinceañera dances with the dad to that first song, you can see her with tears in her eyes

Better believe she’s good at those slow dances, requests Dejaria Todo and sings it softly; looks you in the eyes when the song goes on about how the singer would leave everything for their lover

The talk of the party, everyone wants her back

Everyone knows her. Literally. Everyone.

She walks in and it’s like the music stops because ?? Why is Kawaru Natari here ???

You reveal that she’s your girlfriend and the ENTIRE family screams out, “WHAT?!”

If you sit at one table, suddenly fifteen more are there because they want to interview her about your relationship but mainly movies

Your mom definitely says, “Ya nos va a sacar de la pobresa!”

When you tell Sumika what she means, she quietly says that she’ll do that when you two get married and then she leaves you flustered but she’s so calm about it

The primos are all asking, “And how much did they pay you to be here?”

“Nothing. I came with them because I wanted to see their family.”

She has had movies take place in Latin America, so she knows how to dance to every single genre there is; trust me when I say that, no matter how hard you try, you cannot possibly look bad with her as your dance partner

Even the tios and tias that are hardcore about dancing are in shock about how elegant you are 

Loves the food there, it’s even more delicious because the guy at the grill served her generously, in awe about her arriving

The little cousins don’t know who she is, only one of them does and the child is constantly following her around, stars in his eyes

He timidly asks her a question and she picks him up, answering his question while cooing at him, she just thinks she’s adorable

choni truly has the best relationship arc this season, and I love how even though this memoryless version of them is a redo of their relationship, their story is about them falling for eachother again showing us their true feelings -especially in toni's case- while avoiding past mistakes. I wish we could have seen them as adults together but idk there is something so special with them this season that makes their story feel full circle

no, exactly. like, i always understood the potential of the 50s for choni, thinking they'd fall in love again and toni would be unable to fall out of love when they got back to the present and she'd have to confront the feelings for her she's been trying to ignore, but was annoyed at the possibility of them being there past midseason because i REALLY wanted to see choni together as adults for a solid handful of episodes. but once it became clear we were staying there for much longer, i accepted it, and now i love it. i do wish we could have a few episodes in the present, but alas. by now it's too late, and even if they did get back a couple eps sooner than 19 (which is when i expect it), they'd probably drag the reunion out until the finale at that point anyway.

but when you think about it, not only are we getting a redo of their early story and seeing the writers fix their mistakes, but it really adds such an extra layer of depth to their relationship and story that a simple straight forward reunion in the present wouldn't. like, yeah, i would love to hear present toni tell cheryl that she never stopped loving her and it was always her, but this storyline PROVES it, you know? she fell for cheryl in that very first episode and hasn't stopped, and not only has she not looked twice at fangs, but she hasn't shown interest in a single other person, in a season where all the other characters have been playing musical partners and feeling drawn to people they've had feelings for at some point. that says SO much, about both choni and t*ngs, it proves that toni never stopped loving cheryl and that she never loved fangs (and fangs never loved her), that without anthony's existence, they would have never even thought about it. which anyone with a brain already knew, but again, this is such a good way to prove it, both to the audience and the characters.

i also think that the way it's being written works well as a reunion arc substitution, the way they're giving them similar issues and dynamic so they can do it right. it gives them a chance to show to the audience how their relationship would work better the second time around, with their characters more grown and mature; not only are the writers not making the same mistakes with them again, the characters aren't making them either. like, their communication this last episode was amazing, especially compared to the mess in 3b, which will be important for adult choni when they get back together.

also, given what tabitha said in the present, i really do think they'll end up getting back to a present that's different than the one we left, and there's a decent chance some things regarding fangs and anthony might be rewritten, like if midge ends up being alive in the present (which i have to assume will be the case, because surely they aren't gonna have fangs lose a wife, fiancee and kid all at the same time lmao), which count me in! but if that's the case, i would like them to get their memories back in the 50s and have toni end things with him and tell cheryl it was always her, so i can have the best of all worlds.

lastly, it's just so nice to finally be the shipper group most satisfied. for once, we've finally got it the best and have the best storyline, with the most care being put into it. i waited years for this moment!

What's that?? Reports/rumors about a live action Danny Phantom movie are floating around?? Guess now is as good a time as any for me to write out my ideal movie series for the show that I have been thinking on for years now.

This is just a super rough outline/idea. And I highly doubt it's gonna turn out like this if they do end up making a movie. This is just for fun!

Okay, so in my head the movie series would be four movies long. More could be done afterwards or shoved between the four I have in mind so that more of the show's lore and characters could be included, but I think it's best to end a movie series before it gets stretched too thin and I think with this rough outline there's a nice enough arc throughout that it'll be satisfying to end it there.

Movie 1: So, first thing's first, the primary antagonists in movie one will be the ghosts. It'll focus on Danny getting a hang of his powers while fighting off a few ghosts that escape from the Ghost Zone, with the primary antagonist being Skulker. While I'm not sure how, I think it would be cool if the final battle with Skulker to be the movie's version of Public Enemies, where ghosts become common knowledge to the town and Danny is labeled a villain. While Danny would be dodging his parents throughout the movie, Phantom doesn't really get on Jack and Maddie's radar until this moment, setting up further conflict for future movies. Could also be a good time to set up Valerie, introducing her and having her hate Phantom as a result of the battle (maybe her house is destroyed in the fight?). Vlad could also be introduced here, or at least hinted at, but he's not revealed to be half-ghost like Danny, nor is he antagonist yet.

Movie 2: The one where humans are the antagonists. Vlad, of course, is the primary antagonist, though I think him being part ghost won't be revealed until at least halfway through the movie? I think the first half should focus on Danny's relationship with his parents deteriorating and setting up Vlad as a mentor figure before it's revealed that Vlad is pulling the strings. One of those strings being Valerie. I think it would be interesting if Danny doesn't know her identity right away, have it so her wanting to learn more about ghosts brings them together during school hours and then they unknowingly are trying to kill each other after. Could be a nice one-two punch to have her reveal happen not too long before Vlad's. Movie will end similarly to Bitter Reunions where Danny realizes he can't beat Vlad, so they come up with the truce of not revealing each other's identity to Jack and Maddie.

Movie 3: Reign Storm. I think Reign Storm is one of the strongest episodes of the show, so it just makes sense for it to be adapted to a movie. It'll serve as a nice cumulation of the relationships set up before, with Danny teaming up with his various antagonists to fight off against the Ghost King. And with a longer run time, the lore behind the Ghost King and the Ghost Zone can really be expanded upon. He'll be seen as a hero after saving the day, and since this is a movie series and they can change the status quo, it could also serve as a turning point with his relationship with his parents. They see this good deed and their opinion on him (and perhaps ghosts in general) could be swayed. Likewise with Valerie, whose relationship with Danny will be rocky starting out due to what happened in the last movie. TBH this would serve as a good conclusion to the movie series and it could possibly end here, BUT!!!

Movie 4: The Ultimate Enemy. Because this is also one of the strongest episodes of the show, it would allow for even more exploration on Ghost Zone Lore, and it could serve as a good character study for Danny as a whole. If they allow for Danny to age a few years so that he's in college (something I imagine they would need to do if they go the live action route), then it could serve as a cool parallel to Vlad getting his powers since Danny in the movie would be close to the same age Vlad was when his accident occurred. Also, I did not mention in the previous summary's when Jazz finds out about Danny, because I'm not sure where it would fit, but I always loved how The Ultimate Enemy resolved the plotline of him not knowing she knows, and I think it would be a nice way to tie things up. Heck, it could also serve as an interesting way to reveal his ghostly status to his parents. And with the longer movie runtime, I think they could really explore how that kind of future would mess someone up. I just really like this episode and would love to see it adapted somehow, and I feel it being the finale to the film series would work best if it were to be adapted.

Some random notes:

Ideally the movies would be animated, but the reports say live action which... I mean, it could work if done right. With the live action route (though it could also work if animated), I think the movies should span Danny's entire high school career and we would see him graduate sometime during one of the movies (perhaps at the beginning of movie 4 and have his anxieties of getting into college take the place of the CAT test?). This will allow for the actors aging and also allow for the movies to get more mature with its audience as it goes along.

If there is a romantic subplot, then Danny/Valerie would be endgame. I do enjoy Danny/Sam but I think adding the love triangle would complicate things too much and of the two relationships, Danny/Valerie would just more interesting to explore.

I did not mention Tucker and Sam throughout this but that's not because they wouldn't be there! They totally would!!! I just am not sure what their individual arcs would be between each movie. I mean in movies 3 and 4 it would be akin to how it is in Reign Storm and The Ultimate Enemy, but I'm not too sure beyond that.

Honestly, with this outline a lot of characters would be left out, which is a shame. But a movie series cannot support the same cast as a TV series and ya gotta pick and choose. I think several ghosts could cameo though if they don't play a major role.

In an ideal world the movies would aim for a slightly older audience than the show, especially the later ones, and thus the movies could explore the horror aspects that the show just hinted at/glossed over. This includes more exploring of the fact that Danny is literally part ghost. I think Movie 1 and 2 could really focus on the existential crisis this would cause Danny, with Movie 3 having him come to terms with it, only for Movie 4 to throw a wrench in this acceptance.

(Honestly, with how many horror-related things are popular among kids these days, I think it would be well within reason to expect the movies to lean a bit more into it. They'd ultimately be PG at the highest rating, but with some creativity I think it could work with that rating.)

I think it would be fun if some fanon things get a shout out. Things like Valerie being the Red Huntress, or maybe a Wes cameo. Just background stuff though, because I think too much could take away focus from the story.

Anyway. That's my very very very rough outline for how I imagine a Danny Phantom movie series would playout. I am not a screenwriter (I'm barely a fanfic writer lol), so I'm sure there are better/more interesting ways for this to be done, but I think it could be neat if the movies took this sort of route. I'm ultimately excited and hopeful for a Danny Phantom movie, but if it turns out to be less than good I'm not gonna be too heartbroken. I doubt it'll be any worse than some of the worst episodes in the show (coughcoughPhantomPlanetcoughcough), and as someone who dislikes basically all but one episode in the third season, I have been cherry picking canon for like 17 years now and am prepared to do it some more.

Right, finally weighing into the public sector with my opinions for Good Omens 3. Not seen any posts that say these things, but if there are, then awesome!

On the reunion:

1) one day, whilst Crowley is in the bookshop with Murial, Nina and Maggie, Aziraphale walks through the door. They just stare at each other and Crowley gets up, takes one step forward and folds his hands the way Aziraphale did in Se2ep1 and just ever so slightly cocks his head. Without blinking or sighing, Aziraphale does the apology dance and the corner of Crowley's lip gives the tiniest twitch and then before he realises what's happening, his arms are full of angel and Aziraphale kisses him. Crowley doesn't even hesitate to kiss him back. They just cling to each other. Meanwhile, Maggie, Nina and Murial all roll their eyes and carry on with their book club meeting.

2) The camera starts in the bookshop and the tinkling on a bell pans the camera to the door opening and it's Aziraphale. He calls for Crowley, as he walks around to look for him and gets no answer/can't see him, looking sad, he steps into the street and looks over to Nina's coffee shop and he stops in his tracks as Crowley walks out of Nina's (his usual 6 shots of espresso in a big reusable cup, in his hand) and as Crowley spots him, it starts to rain. They all but run to each other, crashing into each others arms, just hanging on for dear life. Then Azi pulls away a little so he can cup Crowley's face in his hands and he very gently says, "I'm sorry, I never should have left," and he kisses him. Crowley grabs on to Azi's coat and returns the kiss. Then they slowly break apart (traffic be damned), smiling at each other, then Crowley clears his throat, takes a step back and says, "not good enough, I want a proper apology," and a tiny smile lifts the corner of his mouth as Azi sighs, rolls his eyes and does the apology dance in the middle of the street.

3) The idea that Azi just turns up being like, "Babe, I need you to help me raise our kid, cause quite frankly, I'm exhausted and it's your turn." Crowley looks on, dumbstruck, as Azi picks up Junior and hands him to Crowley (who takes him on instinct) and says, "This is your Papa. Daddy needs a break, so behave yourself." Then he walks across to Nina's for an Eccles cake and then to Maggie's to listen to something that isn't a nursery rhyme/shit kids version of good pop songs.

I just feel like Azi would be all like, "Right, you can do this, Aziraphale. Tell him you love him and you're sorry and would he please help you raise Christ 2.0." Then when Crowley actually answers the door, he forgets that plan, panics and a louder part of his brain just screams, "FUCK I LOVE HIM SO MUCH BUT I'M SO DARN TIRED RAISING THIS CHILD I NEED A BREAK!!!"

It's Maggie and Nina that drag him back to the bookshop to sort it out, but as they walk in, they find Crowley sitting cross legged on the floor staring at the child, as said child is pulling books off the shelves, looking for a picture book probably, and telling Crowley all about how he "didn't really like Heaven, but Daddy is very nice and plays games with him and tells him lots of stories. His favourite is the story about a magician who decides to play a scary game called 'bullet catch', but it's OK because his best friend is the one who holds the gun and he knows that his friend would never let anything bad happen to him. He also really likes the story of how a bookseller and his best friend danced together at a party and how it felt like real magic when they held hands."

Crowley is just staring in disbelief at this tiny, blue eyed, black haired child rattling off "stories", whilst his heart is still trying to catchup.

On the ending:

The only ending that I think any of us will accept will be Aziraphale and Crowley retiring to a little cottage on the south downs where Crowley can keep bees and a beautiful garden and Aziraphale makes honey and sits in the sun reading, watching Crowley tend their garden.

Sure!!! I'll be definitely forgetting some but on the top of my mind these are some of my favorites (in order of publication):

↳ Fine Print by Hinalilly Such a cute and in character pre-relationship Valentine’s Day fic ;;;; I love them.

↳ Seven days of him just make me weak by frankenjoly Just wholesome assorted sskk snippets, I can always feel myself physically melt reading this.

↳ my pretty baby holds me down by ChaSeuBao but specifically Chapter 2: While the Other is "Asleep" Tbh I just feel this could perfectly happen in canon. They're just as immature and impulsive and in love as they act in the manga, and it's perfect. Post-canon fics where Atsushi and Akutagawa have matured and grown into proper men are v v good but fics where they still act childish and dumb because they never had a childhood they could grow out of are v v good too. Get together fic.

↳ the only exception by dextergrif I've reread this so many times avbkavkvcqbwsl opposite to the one above, it's nice to see a more mature version of Atsushi and Akutagawa who've slowly worked out of their traumas to be a better version of themselves!! I adore sskk being friends before getting together because ~they're the only ones who get each other~. Enemies to friends to lovers is good. Get together fic.

↳ someone to share the silence by UnicornFlowers Idk this is just one of the best fics I've ever read and so so beautifully written I'm sobbing. Such a good enstablished-relationship Akutagawa character study and sskk navigating their relationship 🤧🤧 On touch-repulsed Akutagawa and touch-starved Atsushi who's perfectly respectful of his boyfriend's boundaries. AND AKUTAGAWA CRYING that is SO good

↳ makeshift gauge by moderndaycain The post-doa arc sskk reunion we deserve (pre-relationship)

↳ Five Times Atsushi Was Hugged and One Time He Gave a Hug & Five Times Akutagawa Cuddled Atsushi And One Time He Asked For Hugs by why_cant_turtles_fly I feel it's only fair to mention these two fics together? The first one is more of a gen fic but you should read it anyway, it's so good!! Op's characterization is amazing and their fics so heartwarming ngggghhhh see ask under this

↳ How to Tame a Tiger's Hair by Mississippi_moon I think about this fic an unhealthy amount. Getting-together, friends sskk who still kinda act like kids in love. I love Akutagawa in this, I love how he speaks like someone who's worked hard to get rid of a fucked up mindset.

↳ midnight, somewhere by hybridsunshine This is so gooood I love sskk atypical getting-together events because nothing about them is typical and they speak a language that is only theirs

↳ split lips, soft teeth by wildsuns You know when a fic is so overwhelmingly good you feel like you need a month to recover

↳ guardian by fwootbat Just read this yesterday night and it was so cute!!! Also very in-character according to how they act in canon. Get together fic.
