Hi tumblr, it's been a good few years.

That's Lottie, one of my kitties. The others are Sid and Nancy. I live with my husband in the UK and I am 30. I'm officially diagnosed with bpd but it was diagnosed by a psychiatrist who saw me once in hospital for 15 minutes when I was at rock bottom, I no longer fit the criteria but I do fit the cptsd criteria so I'm doing EMDR. I sometimes trauma dump online. I lost a son via tfmr and I might grieve forever. Also have adhd that didn't get picked up on for a long time because this country's health system sucks and it was less noticeable when I was young.

I was finding cptsd groups on reddit helpful but I got banned for 3 days on reddit for saying in a private message to a friend of several weeks I'd made on there that I was at a party over the weekend where someone drunk drove, another was racist, all the men were rapey and belong in a wood chipper. Again, this was in a PRIVATE message. So I deleted the whole account and moved over to here because that place is becoming worse all the time. So hi!

We like to travel, especially to the US national parks and road trip around the country. We do visit other countries too though of course. So I'll often post photos from our trips, or just our cats. Sometimes I'll open up about my life, because it's been worse than most people can imagine.

I love music, all music, right now though I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan, which is unusual because my last main genre was folk punk. I think you should just love what you love and that is enough.

If anyone wants to chat about anything my inbox will be open :) now I just need to find some good blogs to follow and remember how tumblr works! Maybe if my tags interest you then you could follow me and I will follow you back? No negativity though, I can't be bothered, it isn't my job to debate you or change your mind these are just my opinions and the whole reason social media is so bad for our mental health is because people will say the nasty shit they wouldn't say to people's faces.

Want to discover new music?

The best high there is is discovering and falling in love with new music, whether they're new artists or just new to you.

Last night I was thinking about how much I love making playlists of new and old favorites that share a vibe and thought it might be fun to start making them for strangers, too.

If you're interested in getting a 10-20 song Spotify playlist, shoot me a message with an artist and/or song and/or genre and/or vibe you're looking for and I'll see what I can do! I also love making playlists inspired by fiction, TV shows, movies, books, etc. So if I'm familiar with the work of fiction, I'd be happy to make a playlist for it. And if you need a playlist to indulge a broken heart, cheer you up, dance to, anything like that, I got chu.

I am an elder millennial, with a love for music across decades and genres. It will be easier for me to list the genres I can't do:

Pop- specifically currently/recent pop. It's not that I don't like any pop, it just kind of defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do. Basically, don't send me T Swift wanting other things like T Swift.

Classical/instrumental- I love classical music. But unless it's Clair de lune, I just don't have the knowledge

Electronic/techno- I love a lot of artists and bands that have an electro inspired sound but, I'm not someone who listens to like Daft Punk or anything like that. I love awesome vocalists and admire creative songwriters so I'm very driven by lyrics when I fall for artists.

I will let you know if your request is out of my wheelhouse. I'm not asking for payment or anything, but will happily accept tips because like a majority of the world, I struggle to get from paycheck to paycheck. But seriously, I'm mostly doing this for my love of music and a desire to share what I love with others.

Context: I have 2,000+ songs on my Spotify playlist that I listen to while I work. After getting tired of pressing skip on shuffle, I decided to listen to my playlist in alphabetical order in October.

Working 21 hours a week, it took me until the end of December to listen to it in full.
