I've been catching up on the main story in Book 3 and Hansa is kind of just chilling, but if she dies they wouldn't have to worry about Jaania cuz I would blow up Lore MYSELF. My silly thoughts since I just got to Outpost Yeden:
Alexander is so silly. I've been playing so many old quests, and it's so interesting how different he is now.
I could've fixed Jaania
I HATEEEEEE the mushroom people. GOSH, I WAS IN HELL I HATE THEM SO MUCH I THOUGHT IT WASN'T GOING TO END.
I love how in these quests you can read chatter between the characters with you! Love seeing the banter.
What if they just stabbed Akanthus? That's not magical??🤷🏾‍♀️
JAANIA WAIT DON'T USE THAT SOUL--
JAANIA...HONEY...
Love my dragon's relationship with the hero. They're a little guy. My baby baby.
I'd die for the Golden Hand duo we're LOCKED in! (I hope)

Saw you want to write Clarisse x Reader and I NEED more clarisee x reader fics SO!
Can you a Clarisse x reader of when Percy broke her spear and just like readers reaction to the her scream and just very angsty but very fully at the same time! Pls and thank u!
I swear on my life reverse hurt/comfort is one of my favorite things to write on this planet. Also, I feel like it’s worth mentioning that Dior said she literally BLEW OUT HER VOICE when she did that scream?!?! She never fails to amaze me.
This got a bit sadder than intended but it's not too bad. Also, sorry this took so long, I had a math test, two essays, and a debate, on top of personal shit. But I FINALLY got it finished.
My Love is Waiting For You to Come Home
Warnings: Slight violence, mild angst, hurt/comfort, cursing, small amounts of blood, mentions of wounds, lmk if I left anything out.
Pair: Clarisse La Rue x Fem!Apollo!Reader

For the first time in what felt like forever, capture the flag was going great. It had been a long time since the red team had won, but you were actually doing really well. You were up in a tree close to the flag, shooting anyone who got too close with your arrows. They weren't sharp, but they had enough of a point to hurt.
Clarisse was hunting in the woods below you. You'd occasionally catch sight of her from the place you were perched on your branch. She always looked amazing like this. Hair pulled back, armor on, spear in hand. She was in her element, and you'd be lying if you said it wasn't extremely attractive. The way she looked so tough, her lucky red bandanna tied around her bicep.
Anyone else would say she looked terrifying. But to you, she was the most beautiful person you'd ever laid eyes on. You were the only one who got that side of her.
It wasn't long before she disappeared again, hunting down anyone who dared to get close to the flag or your tree. She had mentioned something before the game. Something about revenge on the new kid. She didn't go into detail about said revenge, but you new it wouldn't end well for someone.
You didn't move from your tree, assuming her and her siblings had everything handled. And they did, for a while at least. You had shot down another four people by the time you heard your girlfriend scream in a way that genuinely terrified you.
Jumping down from the tree, you raced to the sound as the conch horn blue. You made it in time to see her storm off as the blue team carried the flag over. Just before she made it out of sight, you saw the spear in her hand. Or rather, what was left of it.
Oh gods. You thought.
You tipped your head back, letting out a breath before turning in the direction she went. You found her in the arena, tearing dummy after dummy into shreds. You let her go at it for a while, watching from the doorway.
Eventually, you slowly walked towards her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Clar.." You whisper.
She jumps, turning quickly, ready to knock you into the ground before relaxing. All of the tension disappears from her face, her bottom lip trembling. You reach forward, taking the sword from her hand and tossing it into the rack haphazardly.
"I- fuck.." She drops her head forward, breathing hard.
"Come on.. it'll be okay." You lead her towards your cabin, knowing all of your siblings would be in the infirmary tending to peoples wounds. You can see cuts and bruises on her arms, giving you a feeling that her back will be even worse. You make sure to grab the pieces of her spear on your way out.
On the way to your cabin, her eyes don't leave the ground. Your hand stays on her back the the whole walk, not leaving even as you open the door for her.
She sits on your bed, putting her head in her hands. The broken weapon lays on the foot of your bed as you sit next to her. Her breath shakes with her body.
"Let me clean you up, okay?" She nods, at your words.
"Okay.." Her voice is smaller than you've ever heard it before. You lean forward and pull her shirt over her head, confirming your suspicions about her back. An angry red covers almost the entirety of her tan skin, small amounts of blood leaking from a few spots.
You hover a hand over the scrapes and cuts, a warm glow emanating from your palm. Her wounds slowly heal as her muscles relax. Your heart breaks for her every time you hear her wince or feel her breath hitch. Your free hand reaches forward, grasping hers. A few small scars form over the area, but nothing that won't fade.
You lean your chin on her shoulder when you finish, wrapping your arm around her front. Her other hand reaches up to hold your wrist.
"I love you.." You whisper into her ear.
She hesitates, not speaking for a few moments. When she does her voice is as shaky as her body.
"That was the only thing- the only proof he-" She can't finish either sentence. You can feel her holding her breath as if she's trying not to cry.
"I know, my love. I know." Your lips press into her shoulder. "I'm gonna talk to some Hephaestus kids, I think there's a couple of Hecate kids in the Hermes cabin. I'll do everything I can to fix it."
Her whole body shudders. She's never had the best relationship with her dad. He'd always said that she should've been a son. That spear was the only acknowledgement she'd ever gotten from him. And now it was broken.
A few tears slip down her cheek that you pretend not to see.
"It'll be okay, Clar'." Your arms tighten around her as her head leans into you.
"Thank you." She mutters. If it wasn't for your close proximity you probably wouldn't have heard it at all.
"You deserve someone to care about you.. I'll be damned if I don't do everything I can to be that person."
"I love you. So much." Her voices is so soft, so gentle.
"I love you more." You're not sure how long you sit like that, but it's long enough for your legs to go numb. You can bring yourself to care as she looks so comfortable. She's always had to fight for her dad's love. It gets tiring after you do everything you can to get no recognition. It was nice to know she had someone. If she didn't have anyone else, she would have you.
Eventually you moved positions to her laying on your chest. Your hand rubs up and down her back as her wrap around your waist. She traces patterns across your skin with her finger tips. It's not long before you're both sound asleep in each other's arms. She would never have to fight for your love, it was just there, ready for her when she came home.

I’m so sorry but these are not gonna stop anytime soon 😭😭 I have so many ideas for stories and I love seeing how they turn out and you’re the only writer I trust to do it. Feel free at any point to cut me off! Could I get one where the reader and az are in battle and one of them jumps in front of the other to save them and end up getting very seriously injured but they survive. And when they wake up the other can’t belive it and is still upset so they kiss all over them to prove that they are okay. Can I also get a little bit of worrying from cassian and Rhys in there too! Maybe if the reader is the one to get hurt they are worried about her and if it’s az then they’re the ones to comfort her. Thank you!!
lol keep em coming, love! I'm always happy for the requests💜
The Greatest Casualty
Azriel x Reader
Warnings: depictions of battle, blood, injury and death
Tumblr media
A storm personified, you surged through the battlefield, cutting down enemy after enemy in a blur of clashing swords and blood. Azriel fought alongside you, the two of you working in tandem as you fought in a darkly beautiful dance together.
As you moved forward, you caught the archer’s bow directed at you, cutting her arrow down effortlessly with your blade. What you didn’t notice in time was the archer lined next to her, firing their arrow quickly after, aimed straight for your mate. You didn’t have time to calculate the swing of your sword to deflect another arrow in time, adrenaline taking over your thoughts as you pushed Azriel out of the way, diving in front of the arrow yourself.
As your flesh began to burn, excruciating pain spreading through your veins as the world blurred, you realized the arrow was poisoned. Azriel’s raging scream was the last thing you heard before your vision faded to black.
Fading in and out of consciousness, you were unaware of how much time was passing as your body warred with itself to stay in this world. There were occasional muffled voices, some you recognized and some you did not. You once thought you could hear Azriel crying as a voice that sounded like Cassian’s comforted him, but when you tried to send reassurance to him through the bond, the connection was weak. All that you could feel from his end was a maelstrom of emotions, swirling torment and agony. Your heart broke for him before drifting back out of consciousness.
Another time, you could hear Rhys and Feyre, more clearly than you had heard other voices before. They were speaking in hushed tones, but the words you heard were enough to build a fire within you. As your High Lord and High Lady discussed what would happen to your mate should you never wake up, you felt a fire in your veins. You crawled out of that dark place in your mind where you had been resting, clawing your way towards the light in front of you, that golden mating bond tethering you to this life.
You grabbed that thread and tugged it with all your strength as a blinding light overwhelmed your senses. Your eyes shot open as you gasped for air, the blinding light you saw proving to be daylight shining through the window of your room. Rhys and Feyre turned from their conversation, shock and awe in their expressions before Feyre burst into tears, running to you from across the room. She brought you in for a gentle hug, the ache of your joints eliciting a wince from you regardless. She turned and directed Rhys to get Azriel and a healer, refusing to leave you now that you had awoken.
You nearly sobbed as you heard Azriel’s voice coming closer as he argued with Rhys that they shouldn’t have made him go downstairs to eat, because he missed his mate waking up. The door burst open, Feyre stepping aside to let Azriel settle next to you on the bed. You tried to speak, but the words came out raspy as if your voice hadn’t been used in too long. Feyre and Rhys left you alone with Azriel, heading downstairs to greet the healer whenever they arrived.
Az studied your face, pressing kisses to every part of you that he could reach. He brushed your hair from your eyes, aiding you as you sat up against the pillows. He helped you drink some water, making it possible for you to speak well enough to ask, “how long was I out for?” Azriel’s face crumpled, sighing as he clutched your hand as though if he let go, you might disappear. “Ten days.” Your lower lip wobbled as you attempted to hold back the tears, Azriel gently shushing you as he held you close to his chest. “You dove in front of an ash arrow with a poisoned tip.” You heard his voice break as he whispered, “We didn’t know how you could survive.”
Azriel pulled back to look in your eyes, a scarred hand stroking your cheek. “Why would you do that, love? I waited for you for nearly six hundred years. I didn’t know - I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.” You took Azriel’s hand in your own, pressing a kiss to his palm. “The arrow would have hit you. I can’t lose you either, Azriel. I would take an arrow for you again without thought. You are my mate, and I would give my life gladly knowing that I will find you in the next.”
Azriel laid down next to you, the two of you enjoying each others’ presence as you began to drift off to sleep. You were startled from your peaceful state as the door was bust open once more, Cassian running in to bring you into a bear hug, your stiff joints protesting as you winced at the overwhelming affection. Azriel pushed him off of you, snarling, “you’re hurting her, Cass.” Cassian pulled away apologetically. “I’m sorry sweetheart, I’m just happy to see you. The healers are here, by the way.”
Madja entered with another healer who apparently specialized in poisons, the two of them examining your injuries as Azriel kept a protective arm around you the entire time. They left, clearing you for light activity until your next check-up, and Azriel carried you down to have dinner with your family, the both of you overflowing with love and appreciation for each other and the others in your lives.

I wanted to ask, what would it be like if Fischl had an S/O who not only plays along with her, but is just as much as a Chuunibyou as her? I'd kinda like to see her reaction to that. Maybe see what the other Mondstadt folks think as well? Oh, and bonus points if the S/O does the whole Shining Finger thing. from Gundam. That "this hand of mine glows with an awesome powerrr!" thing.
(Genshin Impact/Honkai: Star Rail)
Fischl, Ayaka, Rosaria, Eula, Furina, Shinobu, Bronya, and Seele with a very dramatic S/O
YOU ACTIVATED MY SLEEPER AGENT KEYWORDS, YOU MENTIONED GUNDAM, AND SPECIFICALLY G GUNDAM
Tumblr media
Fischl's eyes seemed to gleam when she first realized that her S/O not only indulged her antics, but even joined her!
Their title was almost as impressive as her own, 'The King/Queen of Hearts'!
(Fischl) "Tell me dear, S/O, how can the fabled 'King/Queen of Hearts' measure up to the Prinzessin der Verurteilung?"
S/O clenched their fist and raised it in front of their chest triumphantly.
(S/O) "You may have your electric arrows, but I have these GOLDEN FINGERS!"
Oz on the other hand was completely suffering.
Well, at least he didn't have to translate for S/O, they were completely blunt and to the point, unlike his master.
Fischl did adore S/O for how brave and caring they were, but it was during a battle that made her heart first skip a beat.
(S/O) "HERE I GO!-"
S/O's pyro vision flared up as their fists began glowing a flaming gold, catching both Oz and Fischl by surprise.
(Fischl) "W-What?! S/O was serious with knowing an ultimate technique?!"
(Oz) "I thought they were in a similar boat to you, mein Fräulein-"
(S/O) "THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED! IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO GRASP VICTORY!"
They rushed past Fischl and Oz, who could only watch in awe.
(S/O) "ERUPTING, BURNING...FIIINGEEEEERRRR!"
Their fist immediately crashed through a Ruin Guard (somehow), and lifted them off the ground with one arm.
(S/O) "AND NOW, HEAT END!"
The Ruin Guard exploded violently afterwards, with S/O's fist going back to normal.
(Oz) "Wow, really?"
(Fischl) THAT IS SO COOL! "...Ahem, a fine display, dear S/O."
Everyone in Mondstadt thought that Fischl had just found another roleplayer that took things way too seriously and were somewhat dreading talking to them.
Only to realize S/O wasn't doing a bit, despite the fact they were just as dramatic as her.
They were just insane.
Tumblr media
Ayaka knew her S/O was a bit on the...flashy side, to put it gently.
They screamed all their attack names at the top of their lungs, yet she knew no one was better and hand to hand combat than they were. Especially when they began actually glowing red or ignited into flames.
All that did not matter terribly much to Ayaka. S/O was someone she loved, for their caring and valiant nature.
But, someone like S/O was something she had never expected to face, and they both drove her insane, and yet brought contrasting calmness to her life.
Nothing however would ever compare to meeting S/O's master for the first time.
Ayaka and S/O were travelling down the streets of Inazuma, until everyone, including the guards were watching someone coming down the street.
(Ayaka) "...Is...that person standing on their horse?"
Suddenly, S/O's eyes widened, and rushed through the crowd, unintentionally leaving Ayaka behind. She quickly followed behind and saw a man standing perfectly on the horse as it trotted along the streets of Inazuma, arms crossed and an expression that was razor focused.
(S/O) "MASTER!"
The man's head turned to S/O, and both of them exchanged a glance before Ayaka saw their master leap off the horse, extending a fist as they landed perfectly in front of them.
(Strange Man) "Answer me, S/O! THE SCHOOL OF THE UNDEFEATED OF THE EAST!"
S/O knelt down as they struck a dramatic pose, answering their master.
(S/O) "THE WINDS OF THE KING!"
In the middle of the city, they began exchanging rapid punches that traded perfectly blow for blow, so fast that even Ayaka struggled to keep track of.
(Strange Man) "ZENSHIN!"
(S/O) "KEIRETSU!"
(Both) "TEMPA KYOURAN!"
Both their fists collided before their other arms extended outwards in sync, screaming once again.
(Both) "LOOK! THE EAST, IS BUUUURRNING REEEED!"
Ayaka watched with a strange mixture of horror, second-hand embarrassment, admiration, and jealousy.
(Ayaka) ...I-Is it possible for S/O to teach me how to do that too...?
Tumblr media
When Rosaria first met S/O, she thought they were going to be a troublemaker.
She was correct, but they fought to keep Mondstadt safe as much as she did.
But while she did it with subtlety, S/O grabbed subtlety with their literal shining golden fingers, and made it violently explode, all while screaming their attack.
The first time she had watched S/O perform their "Shining Finger" attack on a treasure hoarder, she stood there completely slackjawed.
(Rosaria) "...Oh my Bratabos, you're completely serious."
Rosaria thought S/O was doing some kind of bit like this 'Fischl' character she had heard about.
No, they were just that dramatic for no real apparent reason, and they had the strength to back their nonsense up.
She even doubted that herself could take S/O in a straight fight.
In a strange way, it attracted her to them. They were clearly not afraid of what anyone thought of them, only caring if the people they loved were safe. She had respect for that.
But...why were they like this?
They couldn't just defeat their enemies normally, no, they HAD to explode. Every single one of them.
Sometimes S/O's Vision wasn't even active, she would just see them explode after they had shouted "HEAT END!".
(Rosaria) "You are both the best and the worst person I know of to clean up a mess of bandits discreetly."
(S/O) "Hah! The King/Queen of Hearts doesn't need to fight discreetly! I only fight with my fists!"
Honestly, as strange as this was, she also found it to be the funniest thing in the world. Maybe there SHOULD be more people like S/O and Fischl after all.
Tumblr media
Eula couldn't exactly call anyone out for being "flashy".
But her S/O took that word to a whole new level. Especially with their manner of speech.
It made Eula look polite in comparison. S/O appeared to be playing the bit of a mysterious, strong, and rude warrior who only thought with their fists.
She had seen them become soft and loving, hell they were a couple, she knows they can become serious.
But after watching them fight a few times, she's starting to believe that S/O wasn't doing a bit like herself, and she did not know how to feel about that.
Eula watched S/O pull out a sword made of pure flames from their hands, wielding it in both their palms.
(S/O) "THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! IT'S BURNING GRIP TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU!"
S/O slashed apart the Ruin Hunter with every swing, scorching the grass ablaze with their passion.
(S/O) "TAKE THIS! MY LOVE, MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW! SHINING FINGER SWOOOOOOORD!"
With one final slash, the Ruin Hunter was split in half, with S/O leaping back as their pyro vision died down slowly.
Honestly, Eula didn't know if she should be impressed, cringing, or not be thinking that was one of the coolest things she had ever seen.
Probably a mixture of all three.
Tumblr media
Honestly? Furina kind of gets it.
You spend so long doing a bit, it kind of becomes a part of you.
That being said, Furina isn't entirely sure if S/O's behavior was entirely theatrics.
But that's fine! It's a part of them after all, not like she had any room to criticize.
Whenever S/O wasn't in the room, she would be clenching her fists and throwing punches in the air, mimicking their tone.
(Furina) "How did they say it...? Ah, right! This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!"
Furina giggled as she said it out loud before putting on a 'serious expression' frowning as she concentrated.
(Furina) "It's loud roar tells me to grasp victory! SHINING, FIINGEEER!" giggle
As she turned to face the door, she nearly leapt out of her skin to see S/O watching her with a highly unamused face.
(Furina) "GAH! S-S/O! How long were you-"
(S/O) "The School of Master Asia cannot be replicated by simply mimicking my actions, Furina. It comes from within!"
Furina pouted a little.
(Furina) "It doesn't look that different from theatre, S/O! You're as dramatic as I am!"
(S/O) "Dramatic? Don't be absurd, I'm completely-"
(Furina) "You are not telling me you can say all that with a straight face every single time!"
(S/O) "...Can you not?"
...Either S/O was the best actor, or they lacked the self awareness that she (kinda) had.
Tumblr media
Oh good Archons, please no.
Shinobu already had to reign in Itto and the others, now her lover was adding fuel to the fire.
Or more like an explosion to it.
S/O had taught Itto and the other members of the Arataki gang their strange dances.
Now instead of dealing with one, she had to deal with seven other idiots shouting about Erupting Burning Fingers.
(Shinobu) "S/O, you're a terrible influence."
(S/O) "Huh? What are you-"
(Shinobu) "Sara had just told me that Itto and the others were making a ruckus in the public square."
(S/O) "What ruckus can the dances my master and I-"
(Shinobu) "They're trying to match the speed of you and Master Asia, but end up only punching themselves in the face."
(S/O) "Hah! Looks like I need to train them harder-"
(Shinobu) "S/O."
S/O sighed loudly, adjusting their red headband.
(S/O) "Fine. I'll reign them in myself."
Personally, she thinks their nature is...strange, to put it mildly.
She has no idea how S/O and their master became so eccentric, but they meant as well as she and the others did so...Not too much harm could be done?
And admittedly, she did find it really cool that S/O's vision could make things explode in such a spectacular fashion.
But why did so many people in her life have to have some kind of screw loose with them?
Tumblr media
There was only one word that could come to Bronya's mind watching S/O in action.
(Bronya) "What?"
She had been trained all her life to be noble, courteous, and elegant.
And here came S/O with all the elegance of a cannon.
S/O fought inside a machine that mimicked their actions 1 to 1. While the suit itself was strong, it was S/O who made it surpass the limits.
Their knowledge on martial arts was unsurpassed by anyone she had ever known.
But in a strange way, it made Bronya admire them. They wore their heart on their sleeve, with no one telling them how to live. That was really admirable.
And secretly, she found herself quoting S/O many times as she was training with her weapons. Much to her amusement and horror.
But the first time she watched them in action could not compare to anything.
The machine's wings flared out and formed an energy halo, with S/O's hand becoming a blinding fiery light.
Their chest opened up and revealed a large glowing orb, with the symbol of the King/Queen of hearts flashing in front of it.
Before Bronya could even question what S/O was doing, she watched them fly past all the Silvermane guards and save them by driving their robotic fist into the enemy.
(S/O) "BURNING, FIIIIINGEEEER!"
On command, the creature exploded into a brilliant light, making everyone recoil as their enemies fled in terror.
S/O turned around, their machine crossing its arms and standing dramatically on top of a hill, staring down at everyone.
(S/O) "Behold, THE SCHOOL OF MASTER ASIA! THE UNDEFEATED SCHOOL OF THE EAST!"
(Silvermane Guard) "...O-Okay...?"
Bronya had much of the same reaction, but a slight blush overtook her cheeks.
(Bronya) "That was...incredible!"
(Silvermane Guard) "Ma'am?"
(Bronya) "A-AHEM! Men, we continue onwards! Remember our training, and show that we are not to be surpassed!"
It was completely stupid how S/O shouted their moves but...damn, if it wasn't effective.
Tumblr media
Seele sighs whenever she watches S/O in action.
Their moves were completely unnecessary, way too flashy, and the thing that annoyed her the most?
They worked. Like, there was nothing to counter S/O's idiotic moves, nor anything that could actually survive them.
It worked, and she hated that it did.
Seele simply steps out the way of an incoming monster part that had exploded spectacularly.
(Seele) "I will never understand how that machine of yours makes everything it touches detonate. It's like everything's made out of Natasha's grenades to you."
(S/O) "HAH! You are just watching the King/Queen of Hearts in action, Seele! Try to keep up!"
Her eye twitched. Oh now it was ON!
She had a great deal of respect for her S/O, truthfully. But it was dwarfed by her annoyance of them as well.
They would go on about complete nonsense, and yet when they were together, S/O could be a surprisingly normal and honest person.
Then she would watch them in the fight club and watch S/O in their machine grab someone's head, ready to make it explode.
(S/O) "Article 1: A Unit whose head section has been destroyed is disqualified!"
(Man) "H-HEY! THAT'S MY ACTUAL HEAD!"
(S/O) "Then I have won this fight."
Seele had never heard about these articles, or schools on this planet. Maybe it was an offworld thing.
...God, she hoped that whoever trained S/O wouldn't meet Natasha or the kids.

!disclaimer! there is pretty much nothing we know about this clan but since i saw they are like ‚spiritual masters’ or something i thought i would use their name because it fits the story!
requested: no
type: angst/fluff
summary: (i am so bad at writing these) the reader is part of the clan you mostly hear about in legends, they are spiritually connected to eywa, more than any other tribe. she has to run away after the sky people destroyed her village and she meets a boy. his energy calls to her and she doesnt know why. both of them are children of clan leaders and both of them need to find a mate due to their age (both are around 18-20), they feel the pull towards each other and dont know that their fate was already written in the stars (its me, im the stars)
warnings: death of a loved one, injuries, mentions of blood and wounds, breakdown, grief, a happy ending
a/n: i hope you guys will like this one because i came up with the whole clan for the sake of the story lmao, but even if you wont like it i still hope you enjoy reading it!// gif is from pinterest, all credits to the owner!
word count: 5,818
[there may be some errors, because i’m too lazy to check it lol]
╰┈➤ a little glossary:
*Faysawtute! Wiya! - These sky people! Dammit!
** Oel ngati kameie, Olo’eyktan, Tsahik - I see you, Olo’eyktan, Tsahik
***evi - kid(in an affecionate way kinda)
Tumblr media
You weren’t sure how you ended up in that place. The last thing you remember is running away from the sky people who had somehow found your village, the screams of your people started echoing in your brain. You sat up and analyzed your surroundings carefully - the forest around you was vast and mysterious, you have never went into this part of Pandora before. You needed to find your friends, your parents, your ikran, but the only things you could see were trees and bioluminescent plants. A hiss escaped your lips when you stood up, blood was running down your leg and you noticed a big wound it was coming out of, a stab wound. All of this wasn’t unfamiliar, you have fought against the sky people before, but this time they were hungrier for blood than ever, targeting your tribe and searching for you. Your clan had knowledge others didn’t, your people had a special connection to Eywa which presented itself in the fact that your hair was white. You were hiding in the shadows, often migrating and avoiding direct contacts with others, to other tribes yours was just a legend. You almost never engaged, only when it was necessary, and even though you should have gotten rid of the strange enemies from the other planet – your father decided to keep moving and put the fighting behind you. You didn’t blame him, there has been enough bloodshed and there were only 87 of you left, well, now probably less than that.
‘Faysawtute! Wiya!*’ You cursed and pressed on your wound as you walked over to the nearest plant with long leaves.
You tore one of them out of the plant and used it as a bandage, as well as some small vines you found nearby. A faint sound of an animal could be heard in the distance and you were thankful you still had your bow and arrows; your knife however was nowhere in sight. You sat down on the ground, closed your eyes and pressed your palm to the ground, you needed to feel her so that she could lead you to one of the sacred places. A few deep breaths calmed your body down and you opened your eyes rapidly, your ears going down – you felt her. After standing up you started following your gut, you had learned to trust it as much as possible. You tried to stay focused on the energy flowing through your body as well as the one flowing through the forest, but those beautiful plants had caught your eye way too many times for your liking, causing you to lose that focus.  With each step you felt weaker and even more tired, the journey was taking too long, you felt as if you had been walking for eternity. The sun started showing up, soft light reflected in your sleepy eyes and something in the horizon suddenly caught your attention, you stopped in your tracks. A big tree, with white long vines and a strong aura you could see from far away - the source of power. You smiled to yourself and resumed your walk, you couldn’t give up now, she would heal you at last. When you finally reached the tree, you collapsed at the bottom of its trunk. Your hands took one of the vines and connected it to your queue making a tsaheylu. Your pupils dilated as the purest energy of all flowed slowly through your weak body. Next thing you remember was darkness.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
A sound of flapping wings caused you to open your eyes. You quickly disconnected from the tree and ran behind one of the larger roots to hide. As you were putting one of your arrows on the bow you heard the stranger approaching you. You stood up and pointed your weapon at them, but this wasn’t an enemy - it was a young Na’vi boy, probably close to your age. His bow was also ready to fire an arrow at you and you could tell he was confused too, because his eyes were scanning your body in a rapid pace. When you finally locked eyes, you lowered your weapon. However, he was still holding his up, cautious of you and your actions. But you knew better, you knew he wouldn’t hurt you; it was visible in his eyes that he was not a killer.
‘Who are you?’ He finally asked. ‘Are you an avatar?’
You tilted your head, confused about the new word he used, ‘What’s an avatar?’
He lowered his bow and hung it on his body, ‘Come.’
You didn’t move.
‘You’re Omaticaya, right?’ A question left your lips.
He nodded and opened his mouth to say something, but he shut it just as quickly.
‘What’s your name, boy?’
He grimaced at the last word, ‘Neteyam.’
‘(y/n)’ You replied.
For a moment you were standing there in silence, contemplating if you should ask for help. After all, you had nowhere to go to.
‘What are you doing here?’ He asked suddenly and stepped closer, which made you take a step back.
‘I got lost.’ You sighed. ‘The sky people found my village and the last thing I can remember is running away.’ You looked up at the tree. ‘I woke up in the forest and followed Eywa’s energy to find one of the sacred places to heal myself.’
‘Heal?’ He tilted his head in confusion once again.
You nodded, ‘I need your help.’ This time it was you who stepped closer. ‘I have to find my parents.’
He nodded, ‘I’ll take you to my grandmother, she’s Tsahik.’
Your ears perked up as you started following him to his ikran, ‘Who is the Olo’eyktan in your clan? Your grandfather?’
‘No, he died before I was born.’ He got on his ikran and offered you his hand. ‘My father is the leader.’
‘Hm.’ You quietly said and wrapped your arms around his chest gently.
You started wondering if you should tell him that you have that in common – being future clan leaders, that is. You knew the pressure, the responsibilities, the expectations and you could talk to him about that, but you wanted to keep that a secret for just a little longer. You could feel his strong energy, there was a certain feeling of calmness radiating from him and you swore it called to you. You have just met him, but he felt like an old friend, someone you never forget.
The ride was pleasant, you were curiously looking around and admiring the view. You thought he would take you to his home, somewhere in the forest, because after all the Omaticaya were a forest clan. It was surprising to say the least, when you landed inside a huge cave in one of the mountains.
‘I thought you were supposed to be tree people?’ You furrowed your eyebrows as you were looking around the village.
Neteyam helped you get down from the animal and softly laughed, ‘We are, but our home was destroyed.’ He looked down. ‘I never got to see it.’
You rested your hand on his arm and rubbed it softly, ‘I’m sorry, Neteyam. I am sure it was very beautiful.’
He sent you a soft smile which you reciprocated. Your eyes were locked with his, but he broke the eye contact due to something or rather someone coming from behind you. You turned around, a man was slowly approaching you, an elderly woman following after him.
‘That is father and grandmother.’ Neteyam stated from behind you.
‘Oel ngati kameie, Olo’eyktan, Tsahik.**’ You made the proper gesture and felt their tough gaze on you.
They greeted you in the same way and then looked at Neteyam. You knew exactly why they were confused just like he had been. It was because of your hair.
‘I come from the Mangkwan People.’ You announced in order to avoid unnecessary questions.
The Tsahik walked over to you and inspected your whole body, especially one part of it.
‘It’s been a while since I saw one of you.’ She said calmly. ‘Where is the rest of your clan?’
‘I don’t know.’ You sighed. ‘That’s why I’m here, I need to find them and I need help.’
She looked at Neteyam’s father who gave her a firm nod.
‘You can stay with us child.’ She informed you. ‘What are you called?’
‘(y/n) te Magte Leta’ite.’ You whispered your full name and the woman gasped softly, but didn’t say anything.
Neteyam exchanged a look with his father, both uncertain about the Tsahik’s reaction. The Olo’eyktan made a gesture towards his son to come closer and he whispered something into his ear. The young heir nodded and turned his attention to you.
‘Come, I’ll show you around.’
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
After a brief walk through the village, which mostly consisted of you trying not to pay attention to the people whispering as you walked by, you arrived at what you figured would be Neteyam’s home.
‘This is where we sleep. There is not a lot of space but I can give you my own area if you want to rest, I’ll just share with my brother.’
‘Oh, no, it’s okay. I can sleep on the floor, I don’t mind it.’ You chuckled. ‘No, but really, you don’t have to give up your space for me, I’ll be good with anything.’
He smiled at you and his eyes followed your movements as you were admiring the inside.
‘Forgive me for staring at you so much before.’ You turned around to face him. ‘I’ve heard legends about your clan and I was surprised that..’
‘I’m real?’ You softly laughed. ‘It’s okay, I know you don’t see people like me every day.’ Your happy expression faded away.
‘What’s wrong?’ He approached you.
You sat down without looking at him and he did the same, ‘There isn’t many of us left.’ You turned your head to look into his eyes. ‘That’s why you don’t see us often. We always run away, hide in the shadows, we don’t engage in anything… I’m sure your grandmother remembers the times when my clan would happily help others when in need, but times have changed. All I know how to do is run away.’
‘You don’t have to do that anymore, I’m sure your clan would be welcome here. To stay with us.’
You lifted one corner of your mouth, ‘Thanks, tree boy.’
‘Who is that, brother?’ Your focus shifted from the boy sitting next to you to the girls standing in the entrance.
‘(y/n).’ You answered before he could open his mouth. ‘May I know your names?’
‘I’m Kiri and this is Tuk.’ She replied and looked down at the smaller girl hiding behind her leg.
‘Come here, I don’t bite.’ You smiled at them.
They carefully came closer and sat in front of you. Their reaction was similar to everybody else, their eyes weren’t looking into yours, but above. You curiously looked Kiri up and down, there was something in this girl you couldn’t quite put into words, a powerful energy illuminated from her body.
‘Dad wanted to talk to you.’ She said to Neteyam.
‘Oh, okay.’ He quickly stood up. ‘I’ll be right back, treat her nicely, she’s our guest.’
He left their home, your gaze followed him as he got lost in the sea of other Omaticaya people. Meanwhile, Tuk was still taking in your strange looks, a confused frown was on her face.
‘You want to touch it?’ You asked her and she nodded eagerly.
She crawled closer to you and started playing with your hair, ‘It looks like it glows! Does it glow in the dark?’
‘Sometimes.’ You replied with a funny expression on your face.
‘Can you show me? Please!’
‘Maybe one day, okay?’ She nodded in reply.
‘Do you need someone to patch you up?’ Kiri asked.
‘Sorry, what?’ You gave her a confused reply to which she gave a nod towards your bandaged thigh. ‘Oh! I forgot about that. It’s okay, it’s fully healed.’
‘How do you know?’
‘Because Eywa healed me.’ You replied while taking off the leaves and vines, Tuk was still playing with your hair.
‘What?’ Her ears perked up and she sat up straighter. ‘What do you mean by that?’
‘When I connect to the source, such as your big sacred tree, I can transfer Eywa’s power into my body to heal myself.’ You explained like it was nothing. ‘See? All good.’ You showed her your thigh which  now only had a small, faint scar in the place you were stabbed.
You looked up to see her puzzled expression and it took everything in you to not laugh.
‘You need to teach me how to do it.’ She finally whispered.
‘I can try, but it’s a difficult craft. It requires patience, meditation, and strength, spiritual strength. My people start training the moment they connect with Eywa for the first time and it takes years to master it.’ You told her. ‘But I feel that you have all that is needed. I’ll teach you when the time comes.’
‘Really?’ She covered her mouth in shock. ‘Thank you!’
‘It’s nothing.’ You smiled and looked over at Tuk. ‘Are you having fun?’
‘Mhm!’ She exclaimed. ‘Can I braid some of it?’
‘Of course.’ Her smile warmed up your heart.
It’s been a while since you sat down and had your hair done by anyone, so why not let the little kid do it? You shifted your gaze to look outside and saw Neteyam talking to a girl. A light clench could be felt in your heart, why was your body doing that?
‘Is that your brother’s mate?’ You asked and gave a nod towards them.
Kiri turned around to see who you were referring to, ‘He hasn’t chosen yet. Mother is expecting him to do that soon but he keeps postponing it, he says he has to be sure.’ She explained and you felt a relief inside. ‘And that is Nelao, mother thinks she would be the perfect Tsahik, but I disagree.’
‘Why?’ Your curiosity won. ‘She looks nice.’
‘She does, but I just don’t feel like she’s the right fit for my brother.’ She murmured. ‘Nelao overheard my mother talking about her being the new Tsahik. Because of that she’s so certain he will chose her that she doesn’t even leave his side.’
‘You would be a better Tsahik, (y/n).’ Tuk peeped in.
You tilted your head and giggled, ‘I would be, indeed.’ You paused. ‘And I will. Perks of being the daughter of the clan leaders.’
‘Your parents are Tsahik and Olo’eyktan?’ Kiri gasped. ‘Why didn’t you say it before?!’
‘I like being secretive.’ You smiled. ‘Revealing too much information at once isn’t a good idea, trust me.’
‘You can be our Tsahik if you want to.’ Tuk added.
‘Tuk! You can’t say things like that!’ Kiri scolded her sister.
‘Why not?’
‘Well, for once, she may already have someone betrothed to her.’ Kiri explained and turned her attention to you. ‘Do you have someone promised to you?’
You shook your head, ‘No.’
You wanted to add more, but you bit your tongue. Your parents have shown you a few young men to marry, but none of them felt right. You had to feel it inside and you couldn’t choose just because they expected that, it was your decision after all. And it’s not like you didn’t try, you hung out with some of them, talked with them, laughed with them, and yet none of them matched your energy in a way you longed for.
‘See? She can be our Tsahik.’ The little girl muttered and Kiri just rolled her eyes.
‘I’m sorry for my sister.’
‘It’s okay.’ You giggled. ‘Don’t be sorry for her, be grateful that she’s here to make your day more interesting.’
She smiled at you, ‘She sure is.’
‘All done! Do you like it?’ Tuk asked and showed you a few braids she had done.
‘They are perfect! Thank you ‘evi.***’ You gave her a quick hug to show your gratitude.
‘Kiri can you show me where you clean yourselves? I think I need to wash away the dirt.’ You turned to the older sister.
‘Oh my, of course! I’m sorry I should have asked you if you needed anything! Can I offer you some new clothes?’
‘If you’d be so kind.’ You smiled.
The three of you got up and you followed them hastily. On your way out you locked eyes with Neteyam who was still talking to Nelao, he shot you a quick smirk which made you look down and break the eye contact.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
After changing and cleaning yourself up you sat down on the edge of the cave. You were taking in the view unfolding in front of your eyes.
‘Where are you mom?’ You whispered and felt someone approach you from behind.
‘We have not had a chance to meet. My name is Neytiri, I am Neteyam’s mother.’ The beautiful woman spoke up.
‘(y/n).’ You smiled and bowed your head to greet her.
‘Can I join you?’ You nodded in approval.
She sat down next to you, ‘Beautiful, isn’t it?’
‘Yes, it’s extraordinary. I love looking at Pandora from above.’ You replied.
‘You have your own ikran?’
‘Yes, but I don’t know where she is. I was hoping to go search for her in the morning with Neteyam if that’s possible?’ You asked and quickly looked down. ‘Or any warrior for that matter, it doesn’t have to be him.’
Neytiri smiled sweetly, ‘I’m sure he would love to help you.’
You shyly raised your head and while looking into her eyes reciprocated the smile. For a moment both of you were sitting there quietly, enjoying the darkness with some glowing plants in the distance. Your ears perked up when you remembered a strange word Neteyam had said to you before.
‘What’s an avatar?’ You asked your companion out of the blue.
She looked at you confused, ‘You don’t know?’
‘No, I am not familiar with that word.’ You answered. ‘Neteyam asked me if I was one and I didn’t know what it meant.’
Neytiri roughly explained to you the concept of the word, she also used the term dream walkers. You also found out that her husband was an avatar before, which surprised you, it’s weird you haven’t noticed his additional fingers.
‘Your husband has a strong spirit, strong heart. I could feel it.’
‘He does.’ She whispered. ‘It’s late, we should head inside.’
You nodded and stood up to follow the woman inside their family home.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
When you woke up there was nobody in the tent with you. While you were stretching a big yawn escaped your lips. There was some water left next to you in a small pot, you picked it up and took a few big sips. You wiped your mouth and stood up to go outside and search for any of the familiar faces. You approached Neteyam who was giving some food to his ikran.
‘Hi.’
‘Hi, did you sleep well?’ He looked at you.
‘Um, yeah, it was a good night.’ You mumbled. ‘Are you going to help me today? With finding my ikran and my people?’
‘Oh! Yes, right, I have this thing here for you.’ He pulled out some sort of device. ‘This goes around your neck and this into your ear. Those are comms we use for communicating. ‘He pointed to the one he was wearing. ‘I’ll show you how they work.’
He installed everything on you and explained step by step to you how to use it. The whole time you tried to stay composed and steady, but his fingers brushing your skin were not helping. After that you both got on his ikran, the first place you wanted to check was the one you woke up at and that’s where you navigated him. You were using your memory and it was hard doing it from above since you were inside the forest while looking for a way out. Neteyam was patient with you, he landed a few times in the wrong places because you thought each could be the right one, thankfully one of them was. You got off the ikran and immediately noticed your blood on the grass. It was faint but because of daylight you could see the trail you were running through that night. You followed the blood with Neteyam by your side.
‘Mom! Dad!’ You shouted into the forest but received no response.
Suddenly a faint ikran roar erupted through the trees. Your ears perked up and you quickly ran towards the sound while making noises to lure in the animal.
‘Wait for me!’ You heard the man shout behind you, but you didn’t stop.
Soon you noticed something blue moving between two trees and you slowly approached it.
‘Ra’ia.’ You whispered and came closer to your ikran.
You noticed she was covered with a net and that was the thing disallowing her to move. You spotted your knife next to her and grabbed it to free the animal. Now everything made sense, they must’ve shot that net at you which caused both of you to fall down, you somehow freed yourself and dropped your knife while running away.
‘I’m sorry I left you Ra’ia.’ You whispered while you were hugging her neck and stroking her skin with one of your hands. ‘Thank you Great Mother for keeping her safe.’
‘Is that your ikran?’ You heard Neteyam’s voice.
‘Yes.’ You nodded. ‘Her name is Ra’ia.’
‘It’s suits her.’
‘Thanks.’ You chuckled. ‘We should check my village now.’
He gave you a nod and started calling for his own animal.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
The place was a mess. Your started to feel heavy when you noticed limp bodies of your people laying on the ground. You took a deep breath and wiped away the tears already falling down from your eyes. With each person you examined you felt your heart break even more. However it broke down completely when you noticed your father’s  broken bow, his hand wrapped around the weapon. You swallowed a big lump and took cautious steps towards him.
This can’t be real. He’s okay, he has to be okay.
‘Dad?’ You whispered when you finally reached his side you moved his body, he didn’t move. ‘Dad, come on.’ You cried. ‘Wake up! You can’t do this to me!’ You shouted and started shaking his body.
A pair of arms wrapped around you and started pulling you away.
‘No!’ You shouted. ‘NO!’
Neteyam embraced you in a hug which you were trying to break out of, ‘Let me go! He’s okay! We have to get him help!’
‘I’m sorry, (y/n).’He whispered and held you tighter. ‘There is nothing we can do for him, we need to go.’
You were crying your eyes out, your screams were stopping in your throat along with the tears you were choking on. You don’t know how long Neteyam was trying to calm you down, it could’ve been 20 minutes or 3 hours, you had no idea. His palm was stroking your hair and his chest was wet from your tears, but it was working, he finally managed to help you steady your breath and stop crying.
‘Can you help me bury him?’ You looked up at him with glossy eyes. ‘Please, Neteyam.’
‘Of course.’ He replied and kissed the top of your head gently.
There was a sacred place, a small tree close to your village where you would bury the dead. Neteyam helped you carry your father’s body there, you whispered a quick prayer to him and to Eywa. You connected your queue to the sacred tree and experienced a vision. Instead of seeing your father you saw your mother in some kind of metal home, perhaps a capsule? It was strange and covered in various plants. You gasped and collapsed right into Neteyam’s arms. You looked at him and explained where you think your mother may be.
He widened his eyes, ‘I think I know where that is.’
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
‘Mom?’ You called out. ‘Mom are you there!?’
You moved closer to the entrance of the shack and looked through the broken window. Your mother was nowhere in sight.
‘She’s not inside, do you know if there is anywhere she could-‘
‘(y/n)?’ You heard your mother’s voice coming from the bushes.
You moved closer to the sound, ‘Mom? Yes, yes mom, it’s me.’
Her fragile silhouette emerged from the plants and she instantly collapsed into your arms, crying.
‘Your father..‘ She cried. ‘He..’
‘I know, ma, I know…’ You started caressing her tangled hair. ‘It’s going to be okay, ma.’
‘You need to find someone to lead the clan, you need to find a mate, daughter. We have to find the others as soon as we can, it is the only way.’ She explained and looked up to rest her sad eyes on Neteyam. ‘Who’s that?’
‘That’s my friend. We’re going to take you to a safe place.’ You explained. ‘The Omaticaya will take care of you, of us.’
‘No, no, we can’t. They are going to be hunting us. They know what we can do and they don’t like it.’ She stammered.
‘They are hunting my people too.’ Neteyam finally spoke up. ‘I can’t guarantee you will be safe in our hideout, but going there is the best thing I can offer you right now.’
‘We have to go, ma.’ You helped her stand up. ‘It’s okay, come on.’
The flight to the Omaticaya camp was peaceful, with no surprises from the enemy, but you felt your mother’s broken energy the whole time and it was draining you. You felt her pain, it was mixing with yours and creating a dreadful combination. There was also her unwillingness to go with you so she complained for most of the ride. When you finally arrived you were greeted by Mo’at, who immediately recognised your mother. She took her away from everyone and they both disappeared in her tent. You sighed and turned around to face Neteyam.
‘Thank you.’ You said. ‘For helping me. With finding my mother, Ra’ia and my..’ You paused, tears were starting to form in your eyes.
‘Hey, hey, you don’t have to thank me for this.’ He took your hand into his, caressing your knuckles softly with his fingers. ‘I’ll help you anytime you need me.’
You smiled up at him, ‘Do you-‘
‘Neteyam!’ A voice called out which made him drop your hand. ‘Is that this new friend of yours everyone is talking about? My name is Nelao.’
She grabbed Neteyam’s arm and hugged it to her body. The sight made your heart feel like a needle was going straight through it. You told her your name and complemented her own.
‘Thank you. Yours is quite unique as well.’ She looked up at Neteyam. ‘Shall we go? You must be hungry!’ She turned to you. ‘You’re welcome to join us, of course.’
You shook your head, ‘Maybe later, but thank you for invitation.’
You started walking away and looked at the man one more time, to your surprise you locked eyes with him once again. Then Nelao pulled him away as they headed to feast with the others. You approached Mo’at’s tent in hopes to find out how your mother was doing.
‘We have to find the rest. My daughter needs a mate, we need a new leader, Mo’at. I cannot believe all of this is happening.’ You heard your mother’s broken voice through the thin tent material. ‘I lost him, it hurts so much.’
‘I know what it feels like. I lost my husband because of these demons too. Your clan is welcome to stay with us when they are found.’ Mo’at spoke up. ‘Accept our help, Leta.’
‘It’s not nice to eavesdrop, you know?’ Neteyam’s voice startled you.
‘And why are you not participating in the feast?’ You tilted your head to the side.
‘I just..’ He paused. ‘Can we talk?’
You nodded, ‘Why didn’t you tell me you are the next Tsahik?’
‘What?’ You asked confused. ‘How-‘
‘I overheard your mother saying it to you before, she wasn’t particularly quiet so it’s not my fault.’
‘Right.’ You gave him a nod and smirked. ‘Do you want to go for a ride?’
‘If I do, will you answer my question?’ He tilted his head.
You shrugged, ‘Come and find out.’
You giggled and started running away to get on your ikran. Neteyam shook his head and followed your steps.
‘Where are we even going?’
‘You’ll see.’ You replied and took off, the man right behind you.
Throughout the flight you were constantly messing with him, whether that would be shoving him from the side or disappearing behind a mountain to scare him. He was pretending to be mad, but you knew he liked it. When you saw your destination you increased your speed. He tried chasing you trying to outrun your ikran, but to no avail.
‘It’s even more beautiful at night.’ You whispered when you landed.
‘It is.’ He replied, but he wasn’t looking at The Spirit Tree.
He was looking at something else or rather someone.
‘Come on, let’s go sit under it.’ You grabbed his hand and ran towards the tree.
For a moment you were just enjoying each other’s presence and looking around at the bioluminescent grass, leaves and vines. Well, you were the one looking around when his gaze was mostly lingering on your form.
‘So?’ He broke the silence which made you sigh.
‘I didn’t want to be defined by that. You out of all people should know the burden this role carries.’ You paused. ‘All the responsibilities, risks, duties… I just… I sometimes wish I wasn’t next in line.’ You looked at your hands. ‘Especially now when my mother urges me to find a mate immediately. Someone to step in for… You know.’
He nodded, ‘Yeah, I know what all of that feels like.’
‘But I can’t just take anyone and I think she doesn’t understand it. I have to feel it inside, it has to feel-‘
‘Right.’ He interrupted you.
‘Exactly!’ You exclaimed. ‘At least you already have someone to mate with.’ You whispered.
‘Huh?’ He raised his eyebrows. ‘Are you talking about Nelao?’
You nodded, ‘She seems really nice. You should be grateful your mom chose someone like that for you.’
‘She is nice, but at the end of the day it is not my mother’s decision.’ He responded. ‘It is mine.’
He raised his palm and rested it on your cheek.
‘And I don’t want Nelao.’
You felt heat going up to your cheeks and his face was slowly getting closer to yours. The kiss was slow and passionate, but most importantly – it felt right.
You were the first to break the kiss, ‘Are you sure about this?’
‘Are you?’ He asked.
You nodded your head eagerly, ‘You know, from the moment I saw you, your energy has called out to me.’
‘My energy?’ He chuckled.
You softly punched his arm, ‘Do not laugh at me! Last time I checked, I was the one seeing and feeling what you don’t.’
‘Oh, and that makes me worse than you?’ He tilted his head playfully.
‘Yes.’ You giggled and connected your lips with his eagerly.
After a while both of you pulled out your queues and observed how they connected with each other. The feeling was almost euphoric, something you have never felt before. You felt Neteyam’s energy, you saw it so vividly in your mind, all of his good and bad sides, everything about him was in front of you like an open book. All of it melted into your own body, your own energy mixed with his as you became one. There was no denying that all of this felt right.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
You woke up in the morning only because someone towered over you and their presence was enough to awaken you. You slowly opened your eyes and you felt Neteyam’s arm on your stomach, your back pressed to his chest. When your vision cleared up you looked up and saw your mother’s angry face.
‘Did you mate with this boy!?’ She screamed, which made Neteyam and you quickly sit up.
Jake was standing behind her and guided her to take a step back. Neytiri was also present, but she was behind the two, a small smirk spread out on her face.
‘Answer me, daughter.’
You stood up, your fingers intertwined with Neteyam’s, ‘Yes, mother.’
She scoffed, ‘You were supposed to find someone from our clan!’
‘It is my fault.’ Neteyam spoke up. ‘I was the one to-‘
‘No, it isn’t.’ You shook your head.’ It was all because of Eywa. We met before her and we mated before her.’ You told your mother. ‘From the moment I saw him I knew we were meant to be together, his energy called me, it lured me in and I could not resist. The feeling was stronger than anything else.’
Your mother shook her head, but deep down she knew exactly what you were talking about. She had felt the same thing when she first laid her eyes on your father. She looked up at Jake who just shrugged his arms.
‘There is nothing we can do about it.’ He told her. ‘It is done.’
‘There is nothing wrong with uniting our clans.’ Neytiri spoke up. ‘I must say, I think it’s necessary. Especially in those dark times.’
You smiled at her and she reciprocated the gesture. You turned to your mother with pleading eyes.
‘Please, ma.’
She was looking between the two of you quickly and her gaze finally rested on your mate.
‘Fine.’ She closed her eyes and sighed. ‘At least it’s done now. All we have to do is find the rest of the clan, but I must say, the boy I chose for you will not be very pleased about this.’
‘Ma!’ You scolded her.
‘The boy she chose for you?’ Neteyam asked.
‘She chose like 5 boys for me.’ You chuckled. ‘But they don’t matter anymore, do they?’
‘I guess they don’t.’ He smiled at you.
‘We should head back to the camp.’ Jake said. ‘And please, don’t sneak out in the night, I don’t want your siblings to follow your footsteps.’
‘Yes sir.’ Netayam nodded.
Everyone turned around and started walking towards their ikrans, you and Neteyam following after them.
‘I knew this would happen.’ You heard Neytiri whisper to her husband.
‘Who didn’t?’ He quietly replied.
You chuckled and turned your head to Neteyam. You gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
‘Want to race to the camp?’ You asked and started running to your animal before the man had a chance to process your question.
He shook his head and ran after you. He would always run after you.

Okay, so my experience with Stranger Things is a weird one.
I didn't care when it first came out, started to watch it out of "might as well" in 2020, wasn't interested in it enough to make it past S2, forgot about it outside of going "oh, hey, cool, there's a lesbian in it now, I guess," in S3, got really annoyed when "Running Up That Hill" got popular from it because it was a song I listened to on fucking loop after one of my best friends died in high school and I fully expected its appearance in the show to ignore the whole survivor's guilt theme of the song (and was very happy to learn later that it did the exact opposite of ignoring the lyrics), saw people drawing Eddie, suddenly got a lot more interested, watched just the fourth season like a fucking psychopath because I was seriously only there for Eddie, then got interested enough to start the show over properly, having mostly forgotten what I did watch of the show before.
And let me tell you something from the perspective of someone who started with the complete fourth season, who wasn't there from the start, who wasn't tainted by ship goggles or this internal battle of hope and despair, who wasn't theorizing about what the painting could be or expecting Mike and Will to kiss when Volume 2 happened or rooting for Mike and Eleven's relationship to go down in flames or whatever the fuck. Just someone who went blind into Season 4.
It's really fucking obvious that Will and Mike are gonna be endgame.
Like holy fuck. It's so fucking blatant I don't even know why people are nervous.
Tumblr media
No sane fucking person would shoot this scene this way if they wanted the audience to care about El and Mike as a couple. Despite being all blurry in the background, Will's reaction to what's happening here is smackdab in the fucking middle, clearly showing that the important part is what's going through his head here. What he's feeling. It's like the opposite of that scene from Kingdom Hearts II where Sora and Riku reunite and Kairi just fucking vanishes into the aether while it's happening because, despite the fact that she was standing between them when the scene began, she doesn't matter to the scene, so she's just kind of gone when the camera angle changes. Will could have been behind one of their heads, or so far in the distance he blends in with the background, but he's not. He's so obvious that despite being massively blurred out, he's still the first goddamn thing you look at. What, you think that's an accident? You think he's in the middle of this dramatic fucking scene because of a mistake? He basically has a big flashing neon arrow pointing at him with "THIS IS THE POINT" being screamed through a megaphone.
And then this?
Tumblr media
They're paired up like they're taking fucking prom pictures. Each one of these pairs is so fucking close to one another and so fucking far from everyone else. It's not, "Oh, they're standing vaguely near each other in a group shot," it's fucking Noah's Ark out here. Again, there's no way to take this as an accident. It's not just a framing issue. If they wanted to make the shot look balanced while still not hiding anyone else behind El, they would have scattered people around much more naturally. Even if they wanted to keep Nancy with Jonathan and Hopper with Joyce, there's so much room on that hill for three people to stand on El's left and three on her right. But they didn't do that. They put Mike and Will together on purpose in the most obvious way possible.
Like I get that coming up with crackpot theories is fun in and of itself and I'm not blaming anyone for having fun. I totally get the appeal of arguing a point and reaching for every stupid little thing to pull into it because it's like a game, okay? I've done that. But if you're trying to actually convince someone (whether it's someone who wants to believe or someone who's pissed at the very idea that Mike and Will could be in love), stay away from blue and yellow lights, stay away from costume design, stay away from the existence of closets in backgrounds. And don't worry about whether Mike's gay or bi when he's in love with Will either way. I'll give you a little tip about persuasion: You're only as strong as your weakest argument. Even if you've got strong stuff in there, too, the person you're trying to convince is going to dismiss anything you say as complete insanity the second you start going on an entire tangent about the shape of a character's fucking pocket.
Sometimes, clothes are just clothes. Sometimes, there's a closet in the background because it helps establish that a character is in a bedroom. Sometimes, blue and yellow are just a couple of colors that look nice together. And sure, it might be set designers and costume designers and cinematographers smirking and winking at the audience from behind the camera. But if the show was just those things, instead of those things in the context of everything else, they wouldn't be saying anything of note.
But this?
Tumblr media
This tells a story all on its own. Someone with no context can look at this and automatically assume that each paired person is standing with someone they care about deeply, seeking comfort as they watch some sort of disaster unfold. And yeah, romantic couples usually come in twos, and we live in an amatonormative society, so that's going to be the first association anyone makes seeing a bunch of people paired off.
It's the same reason you look at this
Tumblr media
And go, "Oh..."
Tumblr media
"Those two are probably a couple."
And I genuinely don't understand how people could have watched S4 Vol. 2 and gotten scared. Because as someone who went in with no investment whatsoever, I just looked at these two--
Tumblr media
--and went, "Oh, those two are a couple. Good for them." And I moved on. Shut up about the trees for five seconds and just see the forest for what it is.
Oh, and if you're still nervous? Little thing from a storyteller here: You don't leave a hanging thread like "Will confessed his romantic feelings for Mike by projecting them onto El, but Mike either didn't understand or at least didn't say he understood," without coming back to that later. That's Chekov's gun hanging on the wall, babes. It's gonna fire at some point. If Mike was going to reject Will's feelings, if they weren't relevant, they would have had that discussion in Argyle's van. There'd be no reason to leave you in suspense.

The Feral One • Ch 23
Finnick x Y/N
Series Masterlist Link
Ahhh so I actually love this part of the story. Prepare yourselves for a wild few chapters before the end. See y’all in the next chapter for the sewers ;)
Content Warnings - Injury, death, panic attack, games flashback
Tumblr media
When you wake up, your group is stopped for lunch in a different location from where you slept. Finnick explains that he had to sedate you last night and you’ve been out all morning. The group moved a few blocks but didn’t film you at all because you were passed out. He makes sure you eat before the group gets moving again.
You excuse yourself to the washroom of the apartment you are in to freshen up. Your arm is also killing you and you want to take a look at it.
Removing your shirt, you gasp at the sight. The veins on your arm have started to turn black as they pulse with pain. Were you poisoned? Were you having a weird reaction to the sedative? Whatever it is, you don’t have time to dwell on it as you pull back on your shirt and move to follow the rest of the group outside.
“Hold up!” Boggs states, causing the group to stop. “We’ve got a pod. Take cover.”
The group splits up to hide between two pillars. The camera crew get the shot set up before Katniss is instructed to shoot an arrow through an arch up ahead.
The street quickly erupts in gunfire as the pod is triggered. You feel paralyzed by the noise, the pain in your arm intensifying.
You finally calm down when suddenly you hear a loud explosion. Turning, you see Boggs laying on the ground sans legs. Katniss and one of the other soldiers rush towards the scene and Katniss gets the holo from him. The other soldier triggers another pod and chaos erupts.
Black goo floods into the now locked courtyard you are in. You are urged to run towards a building but the ringing in your ears is too much.
You stumble your way forward, not moving quickly enough to keep up with the group.
“Come on Y/N!” one of the camera people shouts as she grabs onto your arm to pull you along.
With a loud growl, you lunge for her, tackling her to the pavement. You snap your teeth at her face, but someone else pulls you off and sticks a syringe into you before you could jump on anyone else else.
You wake up a few hours later in a new apartment. Your wrists are bound together in an effort to restrain you. Finnick is sitting close to you but everyone else has made sure to keep their distance.
“What happened?” you groggily ask him.
“You and Peeta both snapped,” he sighs. “He tried to throw Katniss into the goo and you tackled Cressida to the ground when she touched your arm.”
“I have to go back to 13,” you mumble. “It’s too dangerous for me here.”
“You’re ok,” Finnick assures you. “It was a high stress situation and you reacted badly to touch. Nobody here blames you and Cressida is fine.”
“No something’s wrong with me,” you tell him, panic in your voice. Knowing he needs to take you somewhere to calm down, Finnick tells the soldier on watch that he’s taking you to the bathroom and walks you to the other end of the apartment.
You gasp for air as your hands grip the linoleum counter tops.
“Breathe love,” Finnick instructs. “You’re ok.”
“No I’m not,” you gasp, terror in your eyes. “It’s happening. My arm…”
“Does your arm hurt?” Finnick asks and you nod your head yes. “Which one?”
“Right,” you say through gritted teeth, the pain making you want to scream.
“Can I take your shirt off to look at it?” he asks as he unbinds your wrists. You shake your head no.
“I’ll do it,” you mutter as you attempt to use your left arm to free your right from your shirt.
Finnick gasps at the sight of your arm, the black veins having intensified and spread since earlier in the day.
“What happened?” he asks, worriedly looking over your arm.
“I can’t escape the clock,” you mumble.
Finnick quickly steps out of the room and calls for someone named Jackson. He returns with the soldier you saw on watch when you woke up and she takes a look at your arm.
“Don’t touch me!” you growl as you flinch away from her approaching hand.
“I’ve never seen this,” she states to Finnick. “I’d radio for medical but our communications are still down. She’ll have to carry on with us till we can contact someone.”
“When did this happen?” Finnick asks you.
“It… it started with… the headache,” you manage to get out. The black veins were slowly beginning to spread up your shoulder towards your neck.
“So it wasn’t from the pods,” Jackson notes.
“Maybe we should ask Katniss,” Finnick suggests. “She’s good with medicine.”
“No,” you growl, pulling your sleeve back on over your arm. “I’m fine. Not a word of this to anyone or I rip your throat out.”
That night your dream is different. Travis, the boy from 11, sits in Wiress’ place on the beach. Black blood flows from the gash in his side, and his eyes are dead as he looks at you.
The 69th games had come down to just you two. The game makers had released mutts to push you both to the cornucopia for a final dual, and what would be the death of Travis.
You were exhausted but determined to return home. Anger flowed through his veins, while adrenaline flowed through yours. He swung his sickle at you over and over as you did your best to evade his attack. Your lone knife was lost, buried deep in the forest after he threw it.
He was bigger than you but unfocused. Despite the swelling in your face making it impossible to see out of your eye, you managed to grab his arm as he swung at you, the sharp blade inching closer to your head.
You didn’t hesitate. Your teeth sunk into his fingers as your hands pulled at the handle of his weapon. He screamed in pain as the extremities were severed, his blood coating your tongue.
Your foot connected with his stomach, successfully separating him from his weapon before plunging it into his side.
On the beach, black blood streams from the stubs on his hand as he finally speaks.
“Your time is up, feral one”

A new family {Daryl Dixon X Reader} Part 1
Tumblr media
A/N: In this chapter, the reader already has a child! I came up with this idea while rewatching the first season and I liked it :3 Have fun!
(D/N) = Daughter name
Warnings: fem.Reader, Reader already has a child, Merle is an asshole, mentions of abuse, insults (slut, bitch, etc.)
Picture is from Pinterest!
Masterlist!
____________________________________________________
PoV (Y/N):
My daughter (D/N) and I were brought to camp by Glenn and Andrea while they were looking for something to eat. We were very lucky, our supplies were running out and we couldn't defend ourselves. Their leader, Shane, accepted us, but only after Lori and Dale talked him into it. (D/N) and I settled in well, we were given a tent, some food and tasks to do during the day.
I was supposed to take care of the laundry and the kids while (D/N) had to do study work and keep watch with Dale. Actually, they were just watching birds, but they still enjoyed it.
But there were also two people who didn't play well with us.
The Dixon brothers, Merle and Daryl. Merle was Daryl's big brother and they were more alone. It wouldn't actually bother me if Merle didn't constantly make comments and Daryl looked after him like his lap dog.
Once Merle whistled at me because I was wearing shorts.
When I tried to contradict him, Daryl immediately jumped between us and drove me away.
"Go awa´, ya damn bitch!" He screamed the whole time.
However, I didn't leave because Daryl scared me, but because (D/N) was coming towards us. After that day, I had avoided the Dixon brothers and I forbade (D/N) to be near them.
One day (D/N) made a necklace with a small stone hanging on it.
The stone looked almost like a heart and she had it attached to one of her shoelaces.
"She looks great, darling." I said proudly.
(D/N) grinned widely at me before looking around. Apparently she was looking for someone, but I couldn't figure out who she was looking for.
"Mom, where is Daryl?" Her question stole all color and emotion from me.
I looked around uncertainly before kneeling down next to her.
"Honey, we talked about it… you're not going to them, not even to Daryl."
I said, a little more sternly.
(D/N) just pouted before putting the necklace away and sitting next to a tree.
I felt bad about giving her so little choice, but there was no other option. At least she could still play with Carl and Sophia while I started doing the laundry.
PoV Daryl:
I sat by a tree and cleaned my arrows from my crossbow.
Merle had gone deeper into the woods to take a piss, so I waited for him, but at a safe distance.
"Daryl!" I suddenly heard someone scream.
I immediately looked in the direction from which I was being called.
It was that stupid bitch's daughter. She looked at me brightly as she ran toward me. You'd think she wouldn't understand the current situation, the way she sometimes ran around and laughed.
I stood up and sighed in annoyance.
"Wha´ do ya wan´?" I asked harshly.
(D/N), that was her name, stopped in front of me and held out a necklace. It was a shoelace with a strangely shaped stone attached to it. I briefly looked at the necklace in confusion, then at the little girl.
"Wha´?" I didn't understand what she wanted.
"I did that! For you!” she then said.
I knelt down so that I was eye level with her. Then I snatched the necklace from her hand and I looked at the necklace.
,, Wha´ is tha´? An a-…” I stopped when I realized she was only 8 years old.
I cleared my throat briefly before speaking up again.
"… A-an apple…?" I then corrected myself.
(D/N) laughed briefly before shaking her head and tracing the outline with her finger.
"That's a heart! Mom and I found it!” she explained.
"Ah…" I said before putting the necklace in my pocket.
"I won´t wear tha… it'll break while I'm huntin´…" I just lied.
Merle would just laugh at me if he saw the necklace and I wasn't in the mood for that.
But (D/N) nodded in understanding and opened her mouth again to say something, but a more aggressive voice made her stop.
"Daryl, what are ya doing? Leave tha´ kid alone!” Merle shouted.
I immediately turned around to Merle.
(D/N) looked scared and she hid slightly, behind me. Merle walked up to her and grabbed her arm roughly.
"He, little one… my brotha is too old for ya!" Merle said.
(D/N) whimpered loudly and tears gathered in her eyes. I stayed silent for a while before I spoke up.
"Merle, tha's enough… I was just ´bout to send her awa´." I said.
,, Oh yeh? Then why is tha´ stupid brat still here? Go to yar slutty motha.”
Merle then shouted loudly.
(D/N) cried loudly before he let go of her and she ran away.
Grinning, Merle stood up again before looking at me. I looked after the little girl before I could no longer see her.
"Wha´?" I suddenly heard Merle's voice.
"Nothin´…" is all I said before we retreated into the forest.
PoV (Y/N):
I chatted with Carol while we hung out the laundry together.
Her husband, Ed, stared at us the whole time. When Carol and I were alone, I told her what my husband had done to me and my daughter. Carol was in the same situation I was in, except I killed my husband. So I understood her.
“Mom!” I suddenly heard (D/N) scream loudly.
I immediately threw the clothes on the floor and ran to my daughter, who was crying and sobbing. I hugged her tightly and tried to calm her down.
"Honey, what happened!? Why are you crying!?" I asked her as I checked her for injuries. But I didn't find any, luckily.
"I-I…! D-daryl-! Merle…!” She stuttered around random words.
But I understood enough to let my anger rise. Even though I told her to stay away from the Dixon brothers, I didn't want to yell at her right now. Apparently the brothers had already done it.
"Everything is fine…! I will talk to them…” I promised her.
But (D/N) immediately shook her head and clutched my shirt tightly.
"M-merle called you a slut…! He’s just like daddy!” she cried loudly.
My eyes filled with anger and I carried (Y/N) to Lori, who was cutting Carl's hair.
She immediately looked at me confused while (D/N) was still breathing heavily.
"What happened?" Lori asked.
Carl also looked at (D/N) while I sat her down next to him.
"Dixon happened." I said simply before turning around and running towards the brothers.
They could hear something from me. Next Chaper!

Tommy x wife reader: Charlie and Ruby are theirs (no grace or lizzie) and they have a few other children, in order of their ages: Charles (Charlie) James (Jamie) Edward (Teddie) Ruby (Ru)
And just after Ruby dies and Tommy finds out he’s dying, his wife finds out she is pregnant again and she is just traumatised by it as she’s lost her only daughter and her aunt-in-law and about to lose her husband too
But Tommy doesn’t die and they have a baby girl, who they name Rose Elizabeth, because Ruby loved roses and after Polly and they nickname her Posy as a portmanteau of Rosy and Polly
Hey Love,
Sorry it took forever. This one is pretty sad and I really enjoyed writing it. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Peaky Themes, Childbirth, Child death, grieving.
Tumblr media
Not a single dull day had passed in Arrow House. It was always loud as the children ran around causing chaos. Today was so silent you could drop a tack in the kitchen and hear it in the attic.
You lay on the floor of your youngest daughter's room. Your little girl. The grief clenched in your chest and you felt your heart miss a beat as your body twisted in on itself. You’d never felt such a loss in your life.
Now you have a baby in your stomach, your husband is going to die leaving you with three boys. You knew you should be with him, enjoy his presence while you have him here amongst the living.
How could you worry about anything after watching your daughter slip from the world just a day ago? You remember holding her hand and singing to her. Thomas holding it together just until her eyes fluttered closed before falling apart in a way you didn't think him capable of.
You sat there silently. Something deep inside you felt at peace. She was safe where she was. Polly was with her. Knowing something deep in your soul had never taken away from the way your brain and body worked.
Your body hadn’t stopped shaking since it happened. Your limbs vibrating as you lay on her pink carpet. You felt discarded like all the stuffies and dolls that lay on the floor around you. Without her to come and breathe life into you, you would stay on the carpet like a doll.
Teddie was the first person to find you. His small body came and curled up against your side. The warmth of him seeped into your icy body.
A mother could only stop being a mother once she had no children left. And you had three. This moment of sadness and grief couldn't go on for the eternity you felt it needed. You had boys to wrangle. Little Ruby adored her brothers and you knew she wouldn't ever forgive you if you let them down.
With the strength of a British Mum, you brushed the tears off your cheeks with the side of your hand. You sat up even though every selfish part of you screamed to lay back down on that carpet. To rot away to a place where you could hold her again.
“Hey, Teddie.” You whispered running a hand down the small boy’s back.
“Mum I’m hungry.” He mumbled.
“Teddie! Dad said we have to leave her alone.” Charlie was in the doorway, with his arms crossed. His tone was angry and you could swear he looked years older than the last time you saw him.
“Darling, never leave me alone.” You said giving him a serious look. His face faltered slightly as he took in your words. “I’m still a mum. And mum’s make dinner, let’s go. Into the kitchen.”
Teddie was happy and you picked him up even though he was far too big for that now. Walking down the hallway, Charlie surprised you when he opened Jamie’s door.
You sat Teddie on his favorite spot on the counter and started getting out various pots and pans.
“She’s up.” He said and your middle boy came into the hallway. Silently the four of you made it into the kitchen. Grief was creeping in all the shadows of the room as Charlie made a fire.
“Ruby isn't coming home is she?” Teddie asked. Charlie let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose in the way only the eldest child could.
“No, she’s with Aunt Polly now. They live in the sky.” Jamie answered softly. You gripped the edges of the pot tightly as you pushed down the intense feelings threatening to overflow again.
The window opened and you could hear her voice on the wind that whipped around your face.
Keep Going.
That’s what you did. Death be dammed you’d made a deal with God to sacrifice and survive for these boys and that’s what you would do.
With a cracking heart you closed the window and looked around the kitchen at the boy's stunned faces.
“Please tell me you heard that as well right?” Charlie said with wide eyes.
______________________________________________________________
One dinner down a lifetime left to go.
The weeks turned into a month and the pain did not relent. You had no moments of peace only the love felt by shared grieving. Esme was always around now. All the kids lumped together in Arrow House like the days of the Changretta feud. She made sure your hair got brushed and your outfits matched.
Arthur came around every day. He kept Tommy together while they worked out all this conflict. He feels a war is coming and you couldn't imagine it could be anything worse than the one raging in your mind. Alfie stops by and tells you things that confirm it will be much worse.
Three boys, and a war.
You put your make-up on so you have a reason not to cry during the day.
You spend every evening with Tommy. You know what he is doing is important. It could change the outcome for the rest of the families on the planet. So you sacrifice your time with him and survive on the couch reading. When really you just stare into the fire wishing everything would burn up to be reborn as something new.
Three boys and one more undetermined in your stomach. Your hand rested there often. You expected to lose the baby so you didn't really think about it. If they did come into this world you prayed it would be before Tommy passed. Grieving with a baby in your stomach would be easier than grieving with a newborn. But you wanted them to meet their father, even if it was for a fleeting moment. You would suffer and survive.
Tommy finally got over himself and got a second opinion. He hated doctors and you expected him to be in a foul mood when he got back from a series of appointments in London. Alfie accompanied him back and you placed a plate of biscuits and cups of tea on the kitchen table. The kitchen was for family, but Alfie somehow managed to get an invitation out of Tommy. You were always happy to see him, but were wary of the news he often brought these days. You took a seat and he grabbed your hand and held it.  Your mind flashed back to the good old days when something so small would have sent Tommy after him in a rage.
Alfie knew better than to ask how you were keeping. Tommy finally sat down at the head of the table, he looked pale. Too pale to drive, which explains why Alfie had come back with him.
“I’m not sick.” His eyes closed and he leaned back against the chair.
“What?” You whispered.
“The f-uck-ing doctor was working for that stupid mustache piece of shit,” Alfie said his voice was venomous but his smile was unshakeable.
“You're not going to die.” Your eyes moved to Tommy and he shook his head.
“Going to have to wait a while longer to steal you away, love.” Alfie's voice was all humor now, but he knew it was time to let go of your hand when Tommy flashed him a look. The look of the old Tommy.
“I’m pregnant.” You blurted out.
“Looks like I dodged a bullet. Last thing I wanted to be raising up another little Shelby brat.” Alfie was laughing and Tommy smiled. A genuine smile.
You were happy, and then the brutal deafening sadness crashed down on you. The sheer panic of having a child hits again and the nausea has you throwing your head back in the sink. Tommy is there pulling your hair up.
“Like she would ever go for you,” Tommy said easily taking a sip of tea.
“Shit,” Alfie says from the counter near you. He gets a glass for Tommy to fill with water.
____________________________________________________________
You told Esme and you both held on to each other as you cried.
“I never thought I would say this but thank God Tommy will be alright.” She shook her head as the words strangled her. “You’ll never have to know what it’s like to raise em up with out their father.”
You both cried on the kitchen floor for a long while.
_________________________________________
The time came and you had high blood pressure meaning you had to do things in the hospital. Something that made everything a thousand times more painful. But that was your baby, and you would sacrifice and they would survive.
They kept trying to medicate you and Esme kept throwing nurses out of the room screaming at them in Romani when English wasn't scary enough. In the thick of it you kept crying out for Polly.
You didn't want these strangers to help you. They didn't care about you or your baby. They weren't family. Arthur came and spoke to Esme in the doorway for a moment. You expected news that Tommy wouldn't make it in time or that something worse had happened.
Instead, Esme handed you one of Polly’s rosaries to hold. You gripped the cold crystal beads and felt yourself split apart over all the reasons you were crying.
Tommy showed up and commanded the room with Esme. The window blew open letting cold air around the room and you could feel her love for you.
You gave birth to a little girl.
There were no pictures taken as you bawled. You got her latched on to your breast and cried and cried. The nurses kept pushing for sedation but Esme started at them and Tommy pointed towards the door. Arthur came in and read a passage from his bible for you. You're not sure why exactly but it helped. It felt like a blessing that this baby would be alright.
_______________________________________________
You brought her home the same night, itching to get out of the hospital. You carried her in and watched all your boys get excited. You handed her off to Charlie first.
“I love it when they look like grumpy old men,” Jamie said with a smile, Teddie let out a loud laugh.
“She does look like an old man.”
“What did you name her?” Charlie asked his finger tracing down the slope of her nose.
“Rose Elizabeth,” Tommy said sitting next to him placing his arm around his eldest son.
“Posy then,” Charlie said with a sense of finality.
Charlie, Jamie, Teddie, and Posy. Your heart was happy and sad at the same time.
Jamie came round and put his arm around you.
“Love you mum.” He whispered and you wondered when he got old enough to kiss the top of your head. The boys were strong like their father, and you had no doubts they were strong enough to carry you and Posy.
_______________________________________________________________
This chunk of time was easier than it was with the other four kids. Tommy took time off. Churchill had other moves he wanted to play and for now, Tommy wasn’t involved.
He’d sit while you breastfed in the night, he’d change nappies, and read stories. You watched him be a girl dad again and the pain was harsh and beautiful at the same time.
Esme helped you take down Ruby’s room. The idea of moving one of the boys to a different floor or wing of the house made your skin itch. Ruby’s room needed to be emptied.
You aired the room out and you knew that she would be happy about giving it to her sister. Esme assured you at every turn that she wouldn't be angry at you.
_______________________
Eventually Arrow House moved on. Posy was very attached to the idea she had both an Aunt and a sister in the sky watching over her.
The war came and what was left of the family did what they had to do. Thankfully Posy was there with you so you were never alone.
Thankfully when it was all over all your boys came home to you.

Your eyes snapped open, and you let out a big gasp, slight pain coming from your head, your heart pounding as you frantically looked around the room. Mo’at rushes over to you, “Mawey, Ma’ite, you’re fine,” she says in a calming soothing voice as you try to control your hands.
“Sa’nok, how long have I been asleep?” Mo’at pours some water into a small cup, giving it to you to drink. “Not for long,” she answers, mixing herbs in a bowl.
As you drink the water feeling the coldness of it going down your throat, you try to recall what happened, you and Jake were a part of the war party, Jake had received information that the RDA was transporting weapons to their new base and the only way to stopping them was to hijack the train and steal the weapons.
As the warriors were taking every weapon they could get, you were shooting the flying machines down, killing the pilots with your arrows.
You would look over at Jake to make sure he was alright a couple of times, you couldn’t fathom the thought of him getting hurt.
You saw something drop from the sky, it landed a few feet away from him and when you saw it was a grenade, you took off running screaming out his name and he turns to look over at you wondering what’s wrong and that’s when he looks to the ground seeing the device and fear struck into his eyes and before he can run over to you to get you out of the fire the device goes off knocking both you and him back and as you hit the ground, you immediately black out with Jake being the last thing on your mind.
Your heart starts pounding again and you get up off the mat, making your way to the entrance before you can step out, Mo’at stops you and you turn to her going to argue but she interrupts you, “You might need this,” you look down at her hands and see she carrying a bowl that had healing poultice and a bowl of water with a rag in it that she prepared while you were unconscious, knowing the first thing you were going to do was look for your mate and she wasn’t going to stop you if her mate was still alive, she’d do the same thing.
"Irayo, sa’nok, oel ngati kameie,” you say as you raise your hand to your forehead before motioning outwards she sends a rare smile towards you as she places the bowls in your hands and you make your way out of her tent, going in the direction of your home.
You couldn’t help feeling the worry build up inside of you. "Mawey [Name], he’s fine, he’s fine," is all you could think about as you try to soothe yourself as you head home.
"He has to be fine, maybe it’s not that bad," you take a deep breath as you steady your hands being careful not to drop the bowls you were holding.
When you arrive outside your home, your nose picks up Jake’s scent, a scent that always made you know he was close, a scent that made you feel safe, a scent that you never planned on losing… Your ears instantly lay flat against your head in fear when your nose picked up another scent.
Metallic. Blood! You rush inside seeing Jake with his back facing the entrance, sitting down at his table and cleaning his gun, your eyes immediately seeing the big gash on his back and the small wound on his arm.
Knowing Jake would rather distract himself from the pain than get it treated.
Jake already picked up that you were here by your scent and before he could open up his mouth to say he was fine you had already placed the bowls on the ground and carefully dragged him away from his desk by his uninjured arm placing him where the bowls were, his back facing you.
“Babe, it’s fine,” Jake said as he gets comfortable knowing he can’t escape it.
You let out a small hiss, “Yeah you say that but it could get infected!” you sit beside him after getting bandages out of the supplies you kept stocked for times like these.
You decide to take care of the small wound first, taking out the rag and wringing it out and gently cleaning the small wound, Jake winces at the touch and you let out a few soft sorrys' as you continue.
You set the rag carefully on the bowl as you scoop a small amount of the poultice and spread it on the small cut gently as you do you can feel Jake’s hard stare on you as he inspects your body for any bruises and happily see you got off with none.
When he saw your lifeless body on the ground, he was scared, his only thought was to get you to Mo’at so she could watch over you no matter if he was feeling pain, you matter more to him. You avoided his eye contact knowing if you did return his gaze, you’d break.
You carefully wrap the bandage around his arm and rub it softly after you finish.
Jake goes to touch your hand but you had already moved to the back of him getting ready to clean the wound on his back.
He knew how much you get in your head when he would get hurt, how much feelings you would build up inside you as you took care of his wounds. How could you not?
You almost lost him at the hands of that vrrtep, and seeing him passed out on the floor not moving struck fear in your heart that one day it can be permanent and you would be left alone on this planet.
‘What if the damage was worse than this? What would have happened if you had to wake up having to hear bad news from your sa’nok that your mate was no longer alive?’ You thought fighting back the tears that dared to fill your eyes, chest tightening as you finish cleaning the wound and you scoop up some of the poultice, spreading it over the big wound being extra careful to not hurt him.
‘I can’t lose him… not when I just got him…’ You think to yourself as you finish putting the poultice on the wound and start wrapping the bandage over it as Jake lifts his arms a bit to make it easy for you.
When you’re done, you set the bandage roll next to you and look to the ground as all the feelings that you have been holding in start to burst.
Jake shifts his body around to face you, and when he sees you trying to fight the tears from falling, looking to the ground in order to not face him, he brings his hand to your face, cupping your chin softly turning your eyes to meet his and just like that, the dam was broken, the sob you was trying to hold escape your mouth.
Jake brings his forehead to yours as he pulls you closer to him, closing his eyes as you let out all the emotions you were bottling up not wanting to ever let go of him.
You stay in his embrace for a while before you both transition to laying on the floor, still holding each other close.
Jake lies on his uninjured arm as his other rubs your back slowly as he kisses your bioluminescent freckles one by one.
“I…I thought I lost you…,” you softly spoke meeting his eye contact as one of your hands was placed on top of his heart.
“I’m sorry I scared you,” he says as he continues to rub your back. “You’ll never lose me, as long as I got you, I’ll fight to get back to you,” he kisses another one of your freckles.
“We’ll always make it back to each other because Sullys’ stick together,” he smiles down at you as a smile appears on your face.
“Nga yawne lu oer,” you say as Jake pulls you closer to him.
“I love you too,” you let out a small chuckle as you reach up connecting your lips with his as your hand stays on his chest feeling his heartbeat, a habit you picked up to reassure you that he’s there with you, safe and sound while your other hand intertwined with his as his thumb rubs the back of your palm.

Maybe there were perks of having a best friend like Wooyoung, but maybe, just maybe, his hesitation and skepticism when it came to your boyfriend made you a bit suspicious about his plans. Whenever your boyfriend came over (and Wooyoung acted like he owned your place in his cocky way), they would send hate-poisoned arrows to each other; as if they had a reason to be like that—one you had to find out about. Your boyfriend was everything you could have wished for, so why was Wooyoung trying to prove you otherwise every time? You were tired of his remarks, so you decided to knock a bit of sense into his head by ignoring him—maybe you were wrong, maybe you were actually the one needing that.
Wooyoung was preparing to go home after a tiring day at college, when his friend, San, screamed some interesting words: "Woo, look, it's Y/n and their boyfriend!"
Wooyoung looked immediately in that direction, just to be met with, indeed, your boyfriend, yet there was no sign of you. He gestured to San to follow him, approaching the boy and scrutinizing his companion with fierce eyes—anything when it came to you.
"That's not Y/n, stupid." he whispered to the older boy, then hid in a bush, where he could get a perfect glimpse of what was happening. "And that's the guy I'm ignored for."
Your boyfriend seemed to have fun with his guest, her lips all over his face as he held her tight—was he fucking cheating on you? His hands squeezed into fists as he wanted to go teach him a lesson right there—yet he was better than that. He took his bag and left without any other word, leaving a confused San behind as he started running to your house, not even bothering to take the bus anymore. He took his phone out and called you, fearing that you wouldn't answer—yet he calmed down when you did, smiling when he heard your sleepy voice.
"Did I wake you up from your beauty sleep?" he asked, his signature grin still on his face.
"What do you want, Woo?"
"Y/n… I miss you. Can we please meet up at the café next to your house?"
"Is there anything new that you dreamt up about my boyfriend?"
"Y/n… I will be quick, I promise. Just come, it's for the best. Please."
Hearing his kinda worried voice made you think about your past actions—you were too harsh on him for no reason. He was just protective and you should have appreciated that more. You dressed up immediately and went to the café, seeing him ready and waiting for you by the door. He was cute; a baggy outfit styled with some modest jewelry, his long, two-toned hair in a messy ponytail, some strands laying in beautiful waves of blonde on his face, making him look like the perfect college boyfr—what the fuck Y/n?
He came to you and gave you a short hug, opening the door for you and leading you inside as you took your own time to observe things—your boyfriend has never done this for you. Maybe Wooyoung was right—maybe there was something to discuss with your boyfriend.
"We need to talk!" you both said in unison, looking at each other.
"You go first, please." Wooyoung gestured, but you absolutely refused it.
"No, you called me there, so it has to be important."
Wooyoung sighed. "Can we talk about your boyfriend?"
You frowned, but nodded for him to continue.
"He's got a secret and he's telling you lies."
You looked at him, absorbing his words as you tried to reflect on them. "What kind of lies, Woo?"
Wooyoung inhaled deeply, before talking again: "He's got another girlfriend. I saw them on my way home with San, today. He never smiled like that with you, and it hurt me."
You stared at nothing in particular, spacing out as nothing around you seemed to be there anymore. You were surrounded by thoughts, and Wooyoung, and regret, and sadness, and anger, and oh, maybe you should have listened to your heart when it signaled that Wooyoung was the one. The way he came on the chair next to you, hugging you tight, staining your waist with sincere feelings—oh, how it all made sense.
"I was so straightforward, I'm sorry, but baby, I just gotta let you know—"
He didn't even get to finish his sentence when your boyfriend and his fling showed up at the entrance of the café, holding hands and laughing like teenagers in love (a teenage love Wooyoung secretly hoped won't last). You made yourself smaller in Wooyoung's arms, shutting your wide eyes as you wished for the world to stop right there, with you in Wooyoung's arms, and your boyfriend in that girl's arms, assigned by fate.
"—You really gotta let him go."
He sat the two of you up, holding your hand as he grabbed his things and led you to the exit—not before he bid your boyfriend a last goodbye, though.
"Congrats on your new relationship, idiot. And they are done with you, guess they found someone better themselves." He spat, smirking as he intentionally brushed his shoulder over your ex boyfriend's, getting you two outside.
You didn't know what to say—you were ashamed that you almost left your best friend for someone who didn't even accept him.
"Wooyoung? I should have listened to you since the first day, I'm sorry. It was you all this time."
He smiled softly, petting your hair. "It's okay, Y/n. Fate will have its way with us again." he said, brushing some hair strands off your face: "Sleepover at mine? With ice-cream and a movie marathon?"
"Couldn't agree more."
Tumblr media
With every passing month, every passing season—time made you witness the stages of nature, along with the kindness and love Wooyoung had to offer. He treated you right, he treated you the way you deserved it. He taught you never to settle for less than you deserved, and that's when you were sure you wanted him forever. There you were now, settled on the beach's warm sand, sitting on a blanket while the water touched your skin softly.
"Wooyoung? Thank you, for everything. For being here for me all the time, for fighting for me, for us."
"How could I not be there for the most beautiful person I've seen in my whole life?"
You blushed softly, the crimson adorning your cheeks beautifully, making him smile and grab your cheeks.
"Awee, you’re blushinnngg." he mocked playfully, booping your nose.
"You don't need to remind me! After all, I have the most beautiful boy right in front of me."
He blushed too; you thought it was the cutest thing ever.
"Is this the moment where we kiss?" he asked, smirking a bit.
"I guess so." you shyly admitted, pressing your lips on his softly.
The kiss was soft, full of blooming feelings, full of healing; it was simply right, and you were more than sure of it now. Wooyoung has always been the one.
"I love you, Woo." you said, pressing your forehead on his.
"I love you too, angel."

Neteyam telling his ex to clean him after "running" into her at the lake
Me and You Again
Tumblr media
Warning: NSFW content (MDNI), blowjob, fingering, public sex, mentions of blood and injury, etc.
Pairing: Neteyam x F!Reader
Synopsis: Neteyam 'accidentally' stumbled upon his ex girlfriend bathing in a lake and asked her for a favor.
People always say good thing come and go. That described your relationship with the eldest Sully boy. It was beautiful until one day it went downhill. No word in the Na'vi language or English could ever describe your heartbreak. But Neteyam's heart was broken even more. Why did he ever leave you?
The only woman who could make him smile and die of laughter. The only woman who did not look at him with eyes of lust but adoration and pure love. He got tired of the woman that clung on to his arms. His face was stone. He despised his father for even thinking he would mate with the who're of a woman beside him.
"I have to go.", Neteyam said. The woman looked hurt. "Wait Ma Neteyam, where are you going? Your scars and bruises are not bandaged as yet!", the girl yelled still on the ground as tears threatened to fall from her eyes.
Neteyam was furious instead to confront his father for his foolish request of going to the girl's hut to repair his scar and bruises, he decided to head to the lake. After all, that us where you usually are. Taking a bath. He watched a little taste before finally letting you go. He dragged himself through the bushes of the forest until he saw the bioluminescene surrounding the lake.
Although he was injured badly he wanted to see you in your purest form. The way you used to lay before him. He noticed your top and loincloth on the ground near him. The pleasure of watching you swim through the water bare overcame his thoughts.
He recalled the moments where you both would experiment in the forest and your family hut. He was curious then and he is now.
He watched carefully how your skin glowed in the dark, how your wet braids clung on to your skins. Your hands grazed over her breasts spreading the soap over them along with your neck and arms. You looked at the water for long. Someone was watching you. You could feel it.
Neteyam felt pressure building up in his cock while looking at his ex girlfriend bathing in the lake.
He accidentally stepped on a branch. You reached for your bow and shot on an arrow at the sudden noise you heard. Neteyam fell out of the bushes he hid behind. You backed up in water. As you aimed at your ex boyfriend. Neteyam crawled over the calm water. You realized it was Neteyam and lowered your weapon.
"Wait...Y/n please...I beg you, I'm injured. I mean no harm!", Neteyam begged. You were shocked to see the countless bruises all over his body. His blood spilled upon the ground as he tries to get up. He dragged his punctured leg towards you. His blood mixed with the water.
"Neteyam do you have no shame? What would the village think of you if I told them that you were watching me as I bathed.", you yelled at him. He reached for your hand but you slapped it away. He attempted to talk, he screamed as the shivering pain of the slit on his stomach.
You looked at him in shock. You touched his winced face and he lowered to your breasts. You left him to his feet, he panted. "Neteyam! How in the world did you even get these!", you asked. "Hunt...my father sent me to Ni'yeya but-", he tried to explain. "Are you a fool? Why did you allow her to patch you up?", you asked him. He State silent which only fuels your temper.
You sighed in frustration and disappointment, you grabbed the rag that was on the rock beside you and dipped it into the water. You began to clean up the wounds that were fresh.
He remained silent. You couldn't help it anymore. Curiosity took over you. If you were so far from the village and so many healers were there, why did he come to you out of all the people? "Why did you come to me? I don't understand at all! When will you get it? You and I are finished. What if I wasn't here and you came here for no reason? What if you were hurt here alone? What if no one found you? You knew I was here didn't you? Yet you still came! And if I were to tell the village that the leader's son was a pervert what would you have to say then?", you questioned him frequently yet he did not answer.
You watched as a sudden expression turned into a smile. "So you do care?", he asked. "Even though we're no longer together, you are still a part of this clan! Anyone would worry", you whispered. There it was again, that loving expression from a long time ago the same one that he would give to you everyday.
Your heart softened. You couldn't. It's wrong. He wanted you again. Together or not, you couldn't hold him close anymore and his parents want good for him as for you you were to remain a warrior and mateless for the rest of your life. You hugged him tightly from behind. He flinched from the feeling of your breasts on his back.
Your hands traced against his abs and down to his cock. He groaned. "I missed you Ma'Teyam.", you said. You patted on her muscular thigh, your smaller body clung against Neteyam. His experience was full of hunger. His eyes had a spark of dominance in him as he watched you remove his loincloth and threw it on the rock.
"I knew you missed me.", he stated breathlessly. You sent praises to Eywa for this moment once again. You stroked his frustrated member in a quick pace hoping he would cum quickly but instead he grabbed your hand off his member and picked you up by the dip of your small waist. You wrapped your legs around his waist.
"Ma'Teyam, your injures!", you squealed in his grasp. You felt your high developing. This was finally happening. You didn't have to touch yourself thinking of the experiences you've had with Neteyam in the past. It was happening. He then reached your hips pulled you down on his frustrated cock. He kept at an even pace not wanting to injure himself even more.
You were heaven-sent. The water rippled at the water at your movement. You moans echoed throughout the forest. You threw your arms around his neck, pushing your hips further. He grabbed the flesh of your hips going faster than before. At this time, he was trying to hurt himself. He pushed out of you.
You whined missing the feeling of his cock inside of you. He carried you to the smooth rock where your clothes and a towel were laid out. He laid you on your back. You spread out of your legs, inviting in Neteyam again. He pushed your fingers inside of your heat. Your hips bucked in the air. You were touch starved. " Be calm, ma tìyawn, I'm taking care of your frustration."
He grabbed your nipples which gently rubbed against the smooth texture of your towel. Your back arched. Your hips bucked back onto his fingers. "More Ma Neteyam, I beg you!"
He added another finger, picking up his speed. "Come for me, ma syulang. Come for me. I beg you." You were a moaning and whining mess. You tried to grab from a branch on a tree nearby but your hands felt so weak. Your juices dripped on Neteyam's fingers. He pushed himself back inside of you.
" I'm s-so close.", you managed to speak out. He moaned as his thrusts become slipper. He grabbed your braids forcing you to look at him. Your eyes were full with desire and passion. He growled slapping your ass. Attempting to run away, he forced you back on him, pumping his seed inside of you. You slowly ride out your high.
Neteyam laid beside your exhausted form. You kissed him on his forehead. "Lets try this one more time. Me and You again.", you smiled knowing he would never leave your side ever again.

jealous girl. cato hadley
( master list )
Cato Hadley x Female! District Two! Reader
This one shot is for a book I’m writing but enjoy this. Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/336569852?utm_source=ios&utm_medium=link&utm_content=share_writing&wp_page=create&wp_uname=riddlesbleachdrinker&wp_originator=lNYFXKoKSwZS%2FwkVU%2FVInkUksEX5fvHuroL2fOpLQzYw324EJ7uS7vH9NrK7EKz%2FtWuSTO96oj3SPi%2F%2F4Z9sCfk8um5LCzNHP2dloSxR2TYkqun4bDC2EUvFGW59AGeP (JEEZ THATS A BIG LINK, WTF)
“Cause I’m a jealous, jealous, jealous girl. If I can't have you, baby. If I can't have you, baby.”
“Let the 74th Hunger Games commence. May the odds be ever in your favor.”
The moment the countdown reached zero, Y/N jumped off her pedestal. She was racing towards the supplies before the other tributes even had time to process what was happening.
The H/C-haired girl grabbed the first weapon she saw, which was a sword. Cato wouldn’t be happy about that. Y/N slashed at the other tributes, not caring who she hit as long as blood splattered across the fresh grass.
“You took my sword.” Cato muttered as he stabbed a young boy with a curved knife. Y/N only hummed and shrugged.
“The District Twelve girl is getting away!” Glimmer shouted over the screams of terror coming from the tributes.
“I got her!” Y/N replied, throwing the sword at Cato’s feet and picking up an axe as she sprinted after Katniss. “Well, if it isn’t the girl on fire.” Y/N sneered as she grabbed the raventte’s braid, pulling her back. “You escaped from Glimmer’s arrows but you can’t escape me.” Y/N choked Katniss with the handle of her axe, listening to the way she gagged. Katniss scratched at Y/N’s arms, picking off bits of flesh until she realized that would do no good.
With a choked gasp, Katniss harshly head butted Y/N. The H/C-haired girl yelled out in pain as thick, red liquid dripped down her face.
“My nose! You little shit! You hurt my face! You’ve ruined it!” Y/N punched Katniss, screaming over and over again. She was like a vicious beast sinking its teeth into its prey.
Y/N slashed Katniss’ shoulder with her weapon, knocking her to the ground. The H/C-nette attempted to stab Katniss’ throat but she rolled to the side, getting a mouthful of dirt in return. Katniss kicked Y/N’s ankles, causing the latter to topple over.
Suddenly, Katniss was on top of her with a dagger pressing into Y/N’s throat, drawing a thin line of blood. Cato was quick to react. He grabbed Katniss’ shirt, heaving the black-haired girl off Y/N.
Katniss quickly scrambled up, sprinting away. Cato was too focused on Y/N to care.
“I thought you had it under control.” Cato grumbled as the pair walked back towards Glimmer and Marvel. The bloodbath was over, allowing the tributes to rest before the Careers picked them off one by one.
“I did until she tried to slit my damn throat.” Y/N lifted a hand to feel the small, slightly wincing.
“How much supplies did we get?” Cato questioned. There was a large array of bags on the bloody grass, and one of them was bound to contain medical supplies.
“We only got a few bags of food. Marvel and I can go find some more.” Glimmer offered. By ‘finding some more’ she meant stealing from other tributes.
“We’ll guard the supplies then.” Cato uttered, “Don’t take too long.” The blond began to rummage through the bags, searching for anything he could use on Y/N’s injuries and her bloody nose.
“This isn’t needed, you know. My throat will be fine.” Y/N mumbled as Cato forced her to tilt her head back as he cleaned her wound.
“Say that when it gets infected.” Cato fired back. Y/N lightly scoffed, the corners of her lips twitching into a small smile.
__
“Are you seeing this, Cladius?” Caesar grinned at his broadcasting partner. “It seems the District Two tributes have finally began showing affection to each other, starting with Cato saving Y/N.”
“Yes, yes. We all saw the lingering stares between the two during the tribute parade. However, we have two couples in the games now: Peeta and Katniss from District Twelve, and Cato and Y/N from District Two. How will that turn out?”
“We’ll just have to wait and see.”
__  Y/N bit into a piece of bread, finally silencing her rumbling stomach. Cato was quick to snatch the food out of her hand, shoving it into her mouth.
“Dude, seriously?” Y/N scowled, slapping his shoulder. Cato only laughed. “I was still eating that, you nitwit.”
Night was beginning to fall, which only meant one thing for the Careers: hunting time. Peeta was with them too. Only so they could find Katniss, though.
“Fire alert.” Y/N muttered, pointing over at a dim light slightly concealed by the forest. Truly a stupid move.
“Come on, let’s go.” Cato said.
With their backpacks fully stuffed and weapons in hand, the Careers went bounding into the forest in search of new targets. They followed the fire and found a girl warming her hands by it. She looked up, noticing the sadistic smirks on the Careers’ faces.
There was a loud scream and then a canon, signifying her death.
“Did you hear her shouting? Oh, please don’t kill me!” Glimmer loudly laughed as she imitated the girl’s plead. Cato chuckled, nudging her.
“Hey, that was a good impression.” He said, grinning from ear to ear.
Y/N, who was at the front of the pack, turned around. She saw Cato and Glimmer lagging behind, stuck in their own world. Y/N heaved a frustrated sigh.
She felt like her gut was being twisted. She clenched her jaw, trying to ignore the feeling. As Glimmer giggled again, Y/N’s grip on her axe tightened.
“Tribute, two o’clock!” Marvel announced, pointing at a boy who was sprinting through the greenery. He was making an awful lot of noise, which was the thing that led the Careers to him in the first place.
“I call dibs!” Y/N exclaimed, running after him. She threw her axe, hitting him square in the chest. It wasn’t long before another canon went off. Y/N ransacked his bag, grabbing everything she could and shoving them into her pockets and bag.
“Let’s set up camp.” Marvel uttered. It would do them no good if they were too tired to kill tomorrow. Cato, Marvel, and Glimmer lay on the ground while Y/N skilfully climbed up a tree. She liked climbing things. And turns out, it was a skill many Careers lacked.
Y/N swung her legs back and forth as she stared up at the artificial sky. She glanced down, staring as Glimmer cuddled into Cato’s side. He allowed her.
Y/N felt another strong pang in her chest as she absentmindedly played with a knife she found in her bag. She couldn’t sleep. The adrenaline and envy was keeping her awake.
“Are you ever going to come down?” Cato questioned. He slipped out of Glimmer’s arms and walked to stand underneath Y/N.
“I will.” She muttered, “Soon.” She wanted Cato to stay, but he simply shrugged.
“Alright. Don’t fall out of the tree.” He returned to his former sleeping spot, but kept his distance from Glimmer.
“Night, Y/N.” She heard him say.
“Night, Cato.”
__
It was another successful day for the Career pack. All of them, save for Peeta, were celebrating their latest kill. They walked out of the thick greenery, almost skipping with joy.
“Hey, look!” Y/N exclaimed, pointing at Katniss. She was wading in the shallow water of a river to relive the burn in her leg. As soon as she saw the Careers, her eyes widened and she bolted.
“Fish out of the pond!” Marvel yelled as they chased after her.
“She’s mine!” Glimmer playfully shouted.
Cato was at the front of the pack, Y/N not too far behind.
“Where you going, baby?!” Cato exclaimed, “There’s nowhere to run!”
Katniss resorted to climbing up a tall tree. She panted as she reached a high branch, looking down at the deadly pack.
“Get her, Cato!” Glimmer encouraged the blond as he began to scale up the trunk, jaw tightly clenched. However, he grabbed onto a frail stick and fell. He landed with a loud thud.
“Fine! I’ll shoot her!” But Glimmer overestimated her aim. She missed Katniss by a long shot. Cato angrily motioned for Glimmer to hand the bow and arrow over, trying for himself. He was just as bad.
“Maybe you should throw the sword.” Katniss sarcastically suggested.
“Or maybe you all should move aside and leave her to the one that can climb.” Y/N piped up, her arms folded over her chest.
The pack stepped aside, allowing Y/N to pass through. She held a dagger in between her teeth as she climbed the tree with surprising speed. Katniss scrambled away as Y/N stepped onto her branch.
“Hello again, girl on fire.”
Katniss pulled out a curved dagger, holding it in front of her. In such close range, her bow and arrows would be futile.
“You’re going to pay for ruining my face.” Y/N launched at Katniss, grabbing her by the shirt and throwing her back. Katniss hit the tree trunk and let out a strained wheeze. The Careers below cheered at Y/N stabbed the ravenette’s shoulder and kicked her burn so hard that Katniss screamed.
Katniss was skilled, but she was no match for Y/N, who was trained for this moment. Katniss heard a faint buzzing above her and she looked up to see some kind of wasp nest.
__
“Oooh, tracker jackers. If Katniss manages to knock it over, Y/N will be in a very dangerous position.” Claudius uttered to Caesar. The blue-haired man nodded in agreement.
“For those of you who don’t know,” Caesar said, “Tracker jackers are genetically engineered wasps. Their lethal stings can cause powerful hallucinations and, in some serious cases, death.”
__
Katniss clumsily jumped and sliced the nest off the tree. The tracker jackers emerged, buzzing around the two females. The Careers below were also affected.
Y/N fell out of the tree, screaming as she tried to swipe the wasps away. The pain was blinding her sense of sight as she scrambled to her feet.
“Y/N!” She faintly heard Cato yelling. Once Cato and Marvel realised neither of their District partners were behind them, the blond immediately ran back.
Glimmer and Y/N were both being attacked, trying desperately to run away from the wasps.
If Cato could save both of them, he would’ve. But time was running low and he had to choose. He chose Y/N without hesitation, leaving Glimmer behind to die.
“Shit! Y/N, come on. Wake up. Don’t leave me. Y/N!” Cato lay her on the ground and shook her shoulders, begging her to open her eyes.
“Cato?” She whispered, her cracked and bloody lips slightly parted.
“Yes. Yes. It’s me. It’s Cato.” He grabbed her face so Y/N could clearly see him.
“Why is Clove with you? She’s not meant to be here.” Y/N muttered, furrowing her eyebrows. “Clove, why are you here?”
“Y/N, Clove isn’t here.” Cato said, “But I am. Can you walk?” Y/N tried to stand up but she fell back down. Cato cushioned her fall.
“It hurts.” She whispered, lightly tugging his shirt.
“I know.” Cato gently uttered, stroking her cheeks. “I shouldn’t have let you go up there. I’m so sorry.” For a moment, Cato showed his vulnerability to the multiple cameras surrounding him. “You’re going to be okay, though. Just take it nice and slow.”
With Cato’s help, Y/N was able to stand up. She groaned, leaning against him.
“I’m going to kill her.” She muttered, referring to Katniss. She had gotten away from Y/N two times. It wouldn’t happen a third.
“You’ll get your chance. For now, relax.” Cato kissed the top of Y/N’s head, too distracted by her to notice the sponsor parachute. The small container hit him in the face and he clenched his jaw.
He opened the compartment, briefly reading the small note inside.
Nice romance, kids. Apply this to Y/N’s injuries. - E
Cato screwed open a round container, looking inside in confusion. “It’s, uh, melted oatmeal?”
“It’s ointment, you nitwit!” Y/N snapped, “For the stings!”
“Damn, the stings made her cranky. Here, let me help you.” Cato applied the ointment and Y/N sighed in relief as they finally stopped hurting.
“Thanks, Cato.” Y/N murmured, leaning against him.
“Any time, Y/N.”

————————
Humans are creatures of prescribed non-perfection.
No matter how hard one tries, they will never be the best version of themselves. They will never fit the puzzle piece of a perfect society member, and they will always have at least one thing wrong with them.
With you, your imperfections came at an alarming rate and were exceedingly wrong in most people’s eyes. Instead of playing with barbie’s as a kid, you played with knives and ouija boards. Instead of running around at the playground with Luka, you chose to snatch kids and drag them into the woods while they screamed and cried for their mommies. While every other “normal” child grew up to do normal things, you stuck with the abnormal side of the world.
In simple terms, you were just weird.
“I don’t understand.” Luka said, eyeing you carefully while you ate your salad, “You told mom and mama that you didn’t love them anymore?”
“Contrary, I just told them I wish they weren’t my parents.” You replied, chewing on a cucumber while you read your book.
“Basically the same thing.”
“No it isn’t.”
“Ehhh it sounds the same.”
“Luka.” You said, setting your fork down and turning to him, “Stop pestering me about it.”
“But-.” He started before trailing off when he saw the look you were giving him, “Okay.”
You nodded, reaching over to give his shoulder a gentle pat. He smiled at you, then turned back to his own lunch; raw cow thigh. It was still parents weekend, but the rest of your family wouldn’t be joining you until later for the carnival hangout.
You weren’t nervous, that’s not the word you would use, but you definitely were feeling uneasy about being around your parents. You knew how your mothers temper could get, especially if your mom was upset about something. You’ve never been in the line of fire with her temper, but you have witnessed the twins getting the heat on their necks from time to time.
To say it’s scary is an understatement, the way she yelled at them was a terrifying sight to see. Your mother was one of the very few things you were afraid of, hence why you steered clear of getting into trouble with her when she was angry.
Unfortunately, now you were the center of her frustration due to your honest comments about how you felt neglected, which ultimately leads to her being salty with you all of the carnival day. At the moment, Luka was dragging you around to each and every game he could find, your brothers are your heels while your parents trailed behind.
“Oooh, Y/N look! You could totally beat that one!” Louis said, pushing you towards an archery game.
You scowled, shrugging his hands off of you to turn to face the game clerk. He held his hand out for money to play, and Luka slapped five dollars into his hand with a smile.
“Our sister is gonna dominate this game.” Louis yelled, sneering at the game clerk.
“And she will make sure none beat her name.” Leo added on, a devious smile on his face.
“Ten for ten?” Luka asked from your right, watching as you picked up the cheap bow, “Should I bet on you?”
Your lips quirked into a small smirk, your eyes flickering to him, “If you do, you’ll definitely be rich.”
You drew back the first arrow, staring into your brother's icy blue eyes, and let go. The arrow flew forward, and pierced right through the center of the first target. Your brothers cheered, clearly happy with how your first shot went. To your left, you could just barely pick up on your mom lightly clapping, while your mother brooded next to her.
“Yeah, you will be rich.” You mumbled to Luka before hitting the next nine shots perfectly.
“That’s why you’re my favorite sister.” He chuckled, taking the large teddy bear from the now butthurt game clerk.
“I’m your only sister.”
“Exactly!”
You rolled your eyes, taking your bag from him and slinging it over your shoulder. Louis and Leo hurried past you and looped their arms into Luka’s, dragging him away towards an ongoing hotdog eating contest. You turned, just in time to see Wednesday hurry past you to follow them. Soon you were left alone with your mom, an awkward silence between the two of you.
“Your archery has gotten better.” Enid said, walking closer until she stood beside you, “Have you been practicing with Xavier’s daughter?”
“Yes, Mika has been giving me tips.” You replied, eyes trained on Luka stuffing his face with four hotdogs.
Another pregnant pause, one that made a bubbly feeling of anxiety rise in your throat. Your hands started to feel clammy, but before you could say anything, your mom beat you to it.
“I know you didn’t mean what you said.” She murmured, staring at you with warm eyes, “At least I hope you didn’t.”
You nodded, silently agreeing with her words. She smiled, and moved closer to bump her shoulder against yours in a playful way.
“Wednesday is upset,” She began, reaching out to brush a lock of hair behind your ear, “But I’m positive she would be happy if you apologized.”
You nodded again, sniffling softly as tears made their way to your eyes. Your mom picked up on that, and was quick to pull you into a hug. Your arms immediately went around her body, nuzzling your face into her chest for comfort as you tried to suppress your sobs.
“It’s okay.” Enid said, her lips pressing to your temple, “You are always allowed to cry.”
At her words you broke, letting the tears fall down your face and into her sweater as you hiccuped and cried into her chest. She rubbed your back, whispering words of comfort into your ear while she held you.
“I’m sorry.” You whimpered, tightening your hold on her, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean any of it.”
“I know, I know.” Your mom cooed, softly cradling your head, “It’s okay, I forgive you baby.”
You cried quietly, your sobs soon shrinking down to sniffles against her colorful sweater. She held you close, gently swaying from side to side to help calm you down. You vaguely heard footsteps approaching, but your senses were overwhelmed with tears and your mom that you couldn’t comprehend who they belonged to.
“Hey Y/N/N.” Enid whispered, giving you a small squeeze, “Wednesday is here.”
You sucked in a breath, leaning back to look up to your mother, meeting her black eyes. Her gaze was softer than usual, yet still held its brooding demeanor. You gulped, choosing to stare at the ground instead of her.
“I’m sorry…for saying what I said.” You mumbled, playing with your hands, “I didn’t mean it, and I never will.”
Enid had her hand on your back, gently caressing up and down to help calm you. You stood in silence, expecting your mother to rain hellfire down on you, but nothing came.
Instead, she moved forward and pulled you into her arms, giving you a tight hug. You stiffened, unsure of what to do since your mother almost NEVER gave hugs. She held you, pulling your body close to hers.
“I forgive you.” Wednesday said, pulling back to look at you, “Thank you for apologizing.”
You nodded, feeling a bit awkward just standing there. Enid came up next to you, leaning over to whisper something in your mothers ear. She smiled and nodded, but before you could even question anything, Luka comes barreling out of nowhere with a trophy in his hand and mustard all over his face.
“I WON!” He screamed, almost tackling you to the ground, “158 HOTDOGS!”
“Amazing.” You said sarcastically, pushing him off of you, “You smell like mustard, get away from me.”
He gave you a cheesy grin and turned to your mom, showing her the trophy in which she squealed to. The twins ran up with their own miniature trophies, and soon the four werewolves were jumping up and down in pure joy. You scowled at the sight, glancing at your mother who wore the same exact look, and let out a little laugh.
“What’s so funny.” She asked, turning to you.
“None of your business.” You shot back.
“It is my business if you’re laughing at me.”
“Who said I was laughing at you? Is everything about you?”
Wednesday snorted, pulling you into a side hug with a kiss to the top of your head. You hummed, leaning your head on her shoulder while your arm went around her.
“Thank you for forgiving me.” You said, looking up at your mother.
“Of course, I’ll always forgive you.” She replied, a small smile at the sight of her family in front of her.
“I…I love you mama.” You mumbled, tucking yourself closer into her side.
Wednesday froze up, and looked down at you, taking in the fact you said that before smiling warmly.
“I love you too, bonita niña.”

Promise braids -part 2
Tumblr media
Just wanna say I hate this so much but y'all deserve something.
Part one is here 👇
https://www.tumblr.com/yve-barr/721480354297495552/promise-braids?source=share
I might right a part 3 but honestly part 2 took a lot out of me.
@goose-gremlin love you gurl! Tysn for hyping this up for me❤️
@maeriel-arnosel you too 🤗
I'm so sorry everyone else who wanted tagged it's just not working 😞
Warnings: legolas, injury, shitty writing on my part, adult theme?, lil rushed, violence, smut, public sex,
When the time came for you both to rise from the floor and say goodbye you felt your heart sink into your stomach. So little time had been spent between you two.
You both walked to the door, a fresh braid in your hair.
"I shall miss you my love," you whispered to him in elvish.
"as I shall miss you," he hugged you tight and snuck kisses along your neck.
Then he joined Gimli and Aragorn outside.
"you know I happen to own a certain cloak that makes the wearer completely undetectable to those she does not wish to find her."
"and what about an unbetrayed heart? Because I happen to be in need of one," you sighed.
"no I don't however I do have a spare horse if one was to need it."
"I can't go with you," you looked him dead in the eye.
"why not?"
"because he needs to know I'm safe," you replied honestly.
"then stay safe with him," the old wizard smiled, and you returned it.
"he wouldn't let me leave," you could feel giddy butterflies in your stomach.
"then wait for us to be out of sight then head northwest."
"thank you," you grinned before dashing off to gather your things.
By the time you had everything together and changed into riding clothes the others were well on there way. Checking you had everything you glimpsed the bow legolas had trained you with many years ago.
Grabbing it you brought everything outside.
Just as you packed everything onto the horse Gandalf had left you, you heard a horn blowing of in the distance. Your stomach dropped.
The orcs had arrived.
Your heart in your ears you quickly mounted your horse and directed her north west.
You could hear the beginnings of fear as screams rang through the town.
You felt sick to your stomach as you kicked your horse's sides and galloped off.
Praying you'd made it out in time you glanced back at the town which was gradually being ingulfed in flames.
You let out the breath you'd been holding.
You rode faster up the steep hill, when you turned around you saw them the orcs unlike any you'd ever seen.
Bigger, stronger, scarier.
They had swords the size of ponies and spears to match.
The archers had bows the size of saplings. The arrows as sharp as broken hearts.
The same arrows that were souring through the sky.
Quickly you forced your horse faster, but not fast enough.
You could hear the others. They had stopped in a valley with a lone tree near the edge and a small stream gurgling around.
There chatter blurred almost as much as your vision as you slipped from your horse. Hitting the ground with a thud.
***
Legolas turned his head picking up his bow as he went.
"what are you doing?" Asked Aragorn.
"I heard something," legolas answered simply.
Quietly Aragorn, and Gimli followed him.
Then legolas saw you lying on the ground your breath coming in uneven gasps.
"Y/n," he rushed towards you dropping his bow and arrow to the ground. He picked you up in his arms.
Then he saw the blood streaming from the arrow wound in your lower back.
"She's hurt," Aragorn called to Gandalf.
"Bring her to me," Gandalf called and legolas sprung to his feet almost running over to the wizard.
Your eyes fluttered open as legolas placed you down on your stomach.
"I have something that may help," said Gandalf and he took a small bottle filled with a clear liquid out of his pocket.
"will it hurt her?" Legolas asked.
"extremely," replied Gandalf. "I need to access her back."
Legolas undid the laces at the back of your dress top, leaving your back exposed but he made sure your breasts would be mostly hidden.
"elavate her head and chest so she can breath," Gandalf said.
Legolas shifted so that your top half lay across his lap, his legs crossed.
Then Gandalf removed the cork from the bottle and poured a little of the liquid onto the wound.
It smoked and sizzled. And you screamed.
Legolas tried to comfort you by holding your hand and stroking your hair but it did nothing.
Pain racked your body as the liquid entered your blood stream and ripped its way through your entire being.
Gandalf flinched away momentarily before pouring more liquid onto the gash.
You screamed louder.
"STOP!" You screeched. "PLEASE!" Legolas bent over you holding you tight to him.
Gimli turned away and Aragorn stared at the ground.
"please make it stop," you whimpered tears stinging your eyes.
Gandalf looked at you simpatheticly.
Your wound had disappeared leaving nothing but a faint red mark.
Legolas tied your top closed and sat you up in his arms cradling you into his chest.
"I'm sorry my love," legolas muttered to quietly for anyone else to hear.
"why did you leave?" You murmered before losing conciousness.
Legolas felt tears escape his eyes for the second time that day as he sobbed over your unconscious form.
When you awoke you were on a fine white horse with someone riding behind you.
As the horse jostled you about you felt yourself sliding right but the person behind you quickly righted you pulling you into his chest.
"legolas?"
"I'm here," Legolas replied from behind and stroked the side of your face with the back of his hand.
"where are we going?" You asked sleepily.
"into the mountains," he answered leaving a sweet kiss on your neck. "Don't worry you will be safe there."
"Your leaving me?" You turned to look at him.
"We have to my love," he whispered his name for you in elvish.
You sighed and looked at your surroundings, you didn't want to argue with him right now.
You could see the level path gradually steepening, higher and higher until it disappeared amongst the trees.
Once you had traveled for what seemed like hours you reached a small cave in the mountain side. The cave extended about 5 meters back and 3 wide.
Silently you all dismounted your horse's.
"here we are," said Gandalf jesturing to the cave.
"and I'll be safe here?" You asked unsure. Trying to resist the urge to cling to legolas even with his hand in the small of your back. Especially with his hand on the small of your back.
"yes," said Aragorn, "no one will pass through here and if they do they shalln't see you."
"ok," you smiled and you took your small amount of luggage with you into the cave.
"oh and y/n, if someone does happen to come this way do not make a sound. Even if you are bleeding out onto the ground do not let anyone find you. They cannot enter this cave unless they see or hear you. You understand?"
Slightly taken aback you agreed and the company moved on.
"GOODBYE!" Called Gimli and legolas waved.
Wishing legolas was there you searched through your bags for the book you knew you'd packed, as it was your favourite and you had often spent whole nights with your nose stuck in between the pages.
Finding said book you settled down in a small alcove at the back of the cave with your bags resting beside you and began reading.
The story was on old one written by the first elves to travel to middle earth. It was about valinor, a place so pure that many elves were now traveling back to it.
Alas you could not return, not because of your human father. But you could settle for your imaginery version.
You would love to hear how it was now but no elves ever returnes from valinor.
The last thing you heard before drifting of to sleep was a horn blasting through the still silence.
When you awoke it was mid-day and the sun was streaming into the cave.
Rubbing sleep from your eyes you looked out at the lone tree gaurding the exit to your cave you saw shadows moving across the entrance.
Stiffling a gasp you shot back into the alcove.
You could hear bustling around outside before it all went silent. Peaking around the rock you could make out vague shapes lingering by the door.
Hurriedly you ducked back down reaching for the double recurve bow at your feet.
A voice came from outside and you let out a shaky breath collapsing your head into your hands.
"I swear she was right here," said Gimli.
"She was, she was right here," added Aragorn.
"maybe something happened?"came gandalfs voice.
"hopefully she's close by," said Gimli.
You made to stand up but froze. There were four shadows, three voices.
Legolas was there but hadn't spoken.
Silently you sat back down.
"where is she?" Gimli asked.
When you realise your name hadn't been mentioned you thanked your lucky star you hadn't walked out.
"where is she?" Gimli's voice asked again.
It wasn't them.
"probably gone," said Gandalf.
Suddenly you felt a sharp twing of pain in your head and you massaged your temple.
"I can feels it," whispered a wet voice.
Clasping your forehead you curled in on yourself. Wishing for the pain to end. You could feel your consciousness disappearing.
"it's in here," rasped another.
Then you heard the twang of a bow string and the thud of an arrow finding its mark.
Then three more times, before silence.
The throbbing in your head stopped and you straightened your back. Tempted to peer around the corner you shuffled further back against the wall.
You could hear footsteps outside quickly closing in.
"Y/N! Y/N ARE YOU OK?" Came legolas's frantic voice.
You peeped around the wall of the alcove and saw him walking inside the cave.
"yeah, I'm here," you called back meekly.
"oh thank god," legolas rushed to your side and knelt before you, "are you alright are you hurt?"
"no, I'm fine," you replied truthfully and he sighed in relief.
"I was worried."
"where are the others?"
"they sent me ahead, they are just coming," he said but his eyes didn't meet yours.
"legolas?" You raised an eyebrow.
"I ran ahead when I saw you weren't alone "
He helped you to your feet. Then he peaked outside seeing that the others were quite far off legolas turned back to you.
"we have five minutes," he said before slamming his hand beside your head and pulling you into him, kissing you agresively.
Melting into him you trailed your hands up his side's, resting them on his cheeks.
Legolas pushed your back up against the wall, his hand which was previously gripping your waist found its way to your breast, slowly needing it.
You moaned into his mouth and you felt his tongue lick your bottom lip before he took it in-between his teeth and rolled it around.
You pulled him impossibly closer and rapped your arms around his neck.
Panting he stopped gazing into your eyes. His own filled with longing.
"I love you," he whispers you tried to reply but he silenced you with his mouth. You gasped and opened your mouth wider, this must have been what he wanted because seconds later he had his tongue in your mouth.
The sounds of footsteps haulted your kiss.
"Y/N!" Called a voice much to close.
"I thought you said five minutes?" You whispered to legolas. He merely shrugged and walked out of the alcove.
"we are here!" He called out and suddenly Aragorn was upon you checking you to see if you were ingured.
"are you hurt?" He flustered about you.
"I am unharmed Aragorn," you assured him and pushed him back.
"I told you so," said Gimli as he hobbled up to you a humungus grin on his face.
"what bet did you win?" You asked him cheerily.
"Forty three!" Cried Gimli before he turned to see if Gandalf had arrived.
You turned to legolas for an explanation.
He merely looked at his feet and mumbled "one, it was one point," before sneeking his hand into yours looking for simpathy.
You gave it, squeezing his hand tight and rubbing your thumb across his nuckles.
Aragorn watched this exchange closly.
"so you two are really close then?" He asked.
"oh god yeah," you smiled back. "We're like siblings."
"Ah Y/n you are alright?" You nodded in response to Gandalfs question, "good, then we must make hast too Isengard."
"wait what about me? Legolas said I shan't be going to Isengard?" You pointed out.
"oh did he?" Said Aragorn. "Legolas failed to mention that."
All three looked to legolas sternly.
"in my defense," legolas trailed off unable to think of an excuse.
"well I suppose you could stay with the woman if Rohan," suggested Gandalf.
"Then I must stay aswell, harm befalls her whenever I leave," legolas objected.
"yeah, or legolas who is needed could go and I can fight with you guys?"
"No way," they all responded in unison.
"Tch," you tutted and walked too the entrance whilst the others discussed what to do with you.
Hopping down over rocks you walked further away. Following a small burn trickling down next to you.
That's when you heard it a rasping choking sound. The throbbing in your head returned.
"Gots you," gurgled the thing at your feet.
"Legol-" you tried to call out but you fell to your knees the pain in your head intensifying.
As the thing slowly crawled towards you, you kicked out landing a solid kick to its eye making it squeal in pain as it rithed around.
"Help," you cried a lot quieter but the thing at your feet heard.
"No helps for you," it said before lurching forward knocking your head against a rock. Blood poured into your eyes and you fumbled around for a weapon.
Finding a loose rock your turned to the creature bringing the rock down around its head. In the back of your mind you heard the twang of an arrow. But the creature seemed unbothered as it sunk its teeth into your calf.
You screamed an ear piercing scream and attempted to kick off the thing. Holding your rock more tightly you brought it down a second time this time hitting its jaw.
With a sickening crunch the creatures eyes flicked up to yours.
"Fiesty it is," a mix of saliva and blood pooled on your leg. You squeeked and tried to shuffle backwards but the pain in your leg was unimaginable. "Oh it's not leaving, it's not leaving," it laughed.
"Yes she is," cried Aragorn bringing his sword down splitting the creature's head in two. You let out a weak gasp.
Catching your breath you let your head fall back against soft moss.
"Thank you, I owe you one."
"You owe me nothing," he said pulling you into a tight imbrace.
"Where's legolas?"
"You know he heard you scream and ran out with naught but a single arrow and his bow."
"Then why is he not here?"
"Isn't it obvious, he missed,' Aragorn gestured to a singular arrow in the wood of a tree a few feet away.
"Oh," you said momentarily forgetting the pain in your leg but it was remembered harshly when you attempted to move.
Cursing Aragorn lifted you up holding you tight against him.
Tears soaked your cheeks as you cried in agony.
Aragorn started to run back up the mountain. Calling out as he did.
The blood loss would have knocked you unconscious but the pain kept you awake.
The cold stone of the cave floor did nothing to cool the hot pain searing through your body.
"Y/N!" Legolas knelt next to you but didn't touch you.
"Legolas," you reached your hand up to his face and he held it there.
You could hear gandalf ordering the other two around but your pain deluded mind didn't register it, you couldn't take your eyes off of him.
"Y/n I so sorry, I should have brought more arrows I should have helped more," his tears streaked his fave and landed on yours.
"It's ok, it's not your fault," you could feel someone wrapping bandages round your leg and you squeezed your eyes tight shut so you didn't scream. "Can I go with you know?"
"I am never leaving your side again."
"Thank you."
The road was rough everyone was tired as you trekked through marsh and forest alike.
You were camping out in a small gorge fire crackling and spitting.
***skipable smut from here till the next cut***
Everyone lay a few meters away from were you and legolas were sitting, all fast asleep.
You were proped up against a tree whilst he was leaning on your shoulder.
You were quite a bit away from the others so it came as no surprise to either of you that they hadn't heard you yet.
Legolas's hand was buried beneath your skirt, 'checking your bandages'.
His face was nestled in your hair his fingers working a silent apology on your clit.
You struggled to stay quiet his long fingers spreading your wetness around your folds.
you squirmed slightly and he picked up the pace rubbing circles around your sensitive bud making you whimper.
His fingers moved faster as you ground your hips against them desperate for more.
His other hand moved from your thigh up to your breast slowly massaging it and pinching at your nipple.
Wet squelching sounds erupted as he slipped his finger inside your soaked entrance quickly adding a second as you clenched around him.
His fingers pumped in and out of you in time with his hand on your breast making you moan and grip his thighs your legs spreading outwards.
He slowly let go of your breast his hand joing his other between your things only this one drew slow circles around your clit.
Your breathing quickened as his hands worked you faster.
suddenly you came letting out a silent moan.
He kept going through your orgasm until you had finished and her slowly pulled his fingers out of you and popped them in his mouth sucking them clean.
****end smut****
silence rung loud through the clearing broken only by gimlis uneven ear splitting snore.
The moon was high in the sky casting long shadows, and the cold air hung like a weighted blanket.
you fell asleep leaning against Legolas his breathing luling you to sleep.
Even with the ground poking you uncomfortably his arms were like a weighted blanket on your thoughts.

Your surroundings were way to quiet for your liking, the atmosphere way to solemn and even breathing felt hard. You stood a few meters away from the pevensie siblings surrounded by the remains of what used to be your home.
Exactly how long had it been? You knew time went by faster in Narnia than back home but you didn't expect it to have been so long, however long it's been.
You snapped out of your thoughts by Edmund's voice calling your name, you turned your head to see him standing right in front of you. "Here, I believe these are yours" he said handing you your old weapons and clothing. You took the daggers and fabric ,that looked untouched by time, no different from when you last saw them a year ago, from him gratefully and nodded in appreciation.
You'd been walking for some time, everything seemed so different, so quiet, the once lively kingdom now only a fraction of what it used to be.
The five of you came to a halt, taken aback by the scene unfolding Infront of you, two men in foreign armour atop a small boat in the river not too far away carrying a dwarf, gagged and tied.
Susan was quick to act, aiming at them with her bow "Drop him!" She commanded and ironically enough that's exactly what they did, dropped him in the river.
One of the men readied his crossbow yet before he could even aim he was pierced by Susan's arrow while the other cowardly fled. Peter quickly jumped in the river, saving the dwarf while you helped Edmund get the boat to shore.
Lucy used her dagger to cut the dwarf's restraints. "Drop him?!" Was the first thing he said directed to Susan "is that the best you can come up with?!"
"A 'thank you' would've been appreciated" you defended hearing Edmund snort beside you.
You laughed at the dwarf's expression when he put the pieces together "You're it?! You're the kings and queens of old?!".
It took some time to get him to trust you but it worked out after a short duel against Edmund. You learned that his name was Trumpkin and that it's been over a thousand years since you disappeared.
Trumpkin told you about prince Caspian and how he was trying to help the Narnians, how he was the one that had called for you using Susan's horn.
You spent most of the time of your journey walking by Edmund, you tried starting a conversation multiple times but he looked uninterested, trapped in his own thoughts, giving you short answers and not bothering to continue after that so you simply gave up and stuck to quietly walking by his side.
It was starting to get dark, the sky turning a beautiful indigo colour, full of bright starts, the starts you would admire at every night for 15 years. You decided to set up camp in a small clearing, you'd continue your journey early at dawn.
As you sat with Lucy and Susan quietly, you noticed Edmund out of the corner of your eye, a bit further than the rest of you sitting alone on a boulder.
Using your hands to assist yourself, you stood up, slowly walking towards him. He looked sad still like he's been for the whole time you've been back. The sound of your daggers clanging together as you walked made him turn back in alarm, visibly relaxing once he saw who it was.
Not speaking a word you sat by him for a minute or two before finally turning to look at him. "What's up with you?" You asked making him turn to you with a confused expression.
"Whatever do you mean?" You rolled your eyes, knowing very well he knew what you were referring to. "You've been looking all solemn since we got here. Are you not happy to be back? What's the matter?" He shook his head and faced Infront of him "of course I'm happy to be back it's just." He paused for a moment "it's so different, too quiet, too eerie" he explained, his gaze directed to you once more.
You nodded and moved slightly closer, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder "I understand, and I completely agree with you, but we have to keep our heads up. We need to be strong for our home, I'm sure we'll fix this." You reassured him, or tried your best to.
Your expression turned from that of compassion to one of panic as you noticed the tears making their way to his eyes. "I just can't stand to see Narnia this way, after all that I've done, all that we've done. Why did we have to leave? Why didn't we stay?" He cried with a shaky voice.
You opened your arms for him and he gladly accepted the affection, wasting no time to move into your embrace and cling to you, his handa gripping the back of your shirt as he hid his face in between your neck and shoulder.
You ran a hand through his hair, the other rubbing comforting circles on his back "it's okay. Let it out" you spoke softly to the sobbing boy in your arms.
He sobbed for a good 10 minutes before letting go of you and wiping his eyes "I'm sorry." You shook your head, your hand remaining in it's position on his back. "It's okay to cry, even as a king. You have nothing to apologise for"
He smiled slightly at your words, placing his hand atop your own which had moved from his back to his shoulder as you spoke.
"Thank you. For always being there for me." You smiled and placed a quick yet soft kiss to his forehead "you can always count on me to be there whenever you need me to, I promise" without further words he returned to your embrace a content sigh leaving his lips.
Knowing his has you by his side, always there, makes him feel invincible, like nothing could ever harm him. You can and will save Narnia like you did once, together.
