I don't care what anyone says these are my favourite Spider-Man movie ships (and definitely my favourite superhero movie ships in general) with the strongest chemistry and the best romantic storylines and they all feel like separated characters but also make great couples (and both shared a beautiful romantic sunset scene in their sequels before a lot of angst happened).

Sam Carpenter x Spider Man!Reader

Halloween time had come at last. And yet all was not calm for the Carpenter sisters and you, their friendly neighborhood Wolf Spider. The city was filled with masks and people in costumes. You knew all too well that anyone could wear a Ghostface mask, slash, and blend back into the crowd.

Trouble arrived the night before All Hallow's Eve. A murder of a film school student and his roommate. You snuck into the crime scene, Detective Bailey greeting you politely.

"Normally I wouldn't work with vigilantes" He intones.

"Well we're not under normal circumstances." you answer back. "knife?"

"Matches the slashes we found on that film studies teacher" Bailey answers back. His face goes ghostly pale.

"Ghostface"

"We don't know that yet!"

"Need more proof?" you head to the nearby ledge and swing out into the open air. You knew what it meant for your beloved girlfriend Sam and her sister Tara.

Your ear bud rings with the sound of your cell phone. A glance down to your phone reveals the caller id of Sam herself. Speak of the succubus herself.

"Hey honey" you answer the call. "How was your day?"

"My therapist was a total dick" she huffs.

You keep up the conversation while webswinging through the New York skyline, "Sweetheart, if i know a thing or two about blood, it's that you define you."

"But what about that incident with Richie?"

"I know several heroes who kill bad guys, it's only if you went after some innocent person that I'd get worried"

"Are you swinging?"

"M-Maybe"

"What have I told you about texting while swinging?"

"Well I'm not texting-" WHOOSH! A semi zooms right past you as you course correct your swing. "and that's why I love you so much, Sammie"

"Can you check on Tara for me?"

"Send me the party coordinates" you sigh as you swing toward NYU.

You found Tara drunk and being flirted with an obvious predator.

"Hey the lady and I were heading upstairs" the drunk college student continued pulling on Tara's arm. "Nice costume by the way"

"Sorry pal, you're heading downstairs" you sock the drunk predator straight in the jaw, knocking him clean out.

"I can handle myself, Y/N!" Tara intones before storming out of the party. "You're as bad as Sam sometimes!"

You quickly give chase. And so does Chad and Ethan. You charge after Tara and scoop her up before swinging off into the night.

"Where'd they go, dude?" Ethan asks your confused friend Chad.

"Put me down!" Tara drunkenly orders you.

"Well if you insist" you drop her from the height of your swing. Tara screams on the way down before you swing and scoop her up again.

"Are you crazy?!"

"Drinking's bad for your health and your grades, Carpenter" you offer a smirking smile under your mask. You come and set her down on top of the apartment's roof.

"Why can't you or Sam just allow me to make my own decisions?" Tara huffs.

"When you can start making the right ones." you huff back. "I don't mean to scare you but I can't let you wander the streets alone anymore."

"Why not?"

"Three murders recently." you remove your mask, "I think it might be-"

"Ghostface." Tara immediately sobers up before hugging you tight. "Thank you"

"You're like a sis to me, kid, I won't let anyone hurt you"

"What are we gonna tell Sam?"

"I don't know" you sigh, "could you tell her? I'm still on the hook for the whole texting and swinging incident"

Ghostface was loose in the Big Apple. You already knew who the targets were. Luckily, they had a Wolf Spider to back them up.

after 2 nights ago , you couldn’t get your mind off the masked hero. it felt like you two had…some type of connection. you had a feeling that you knew him and he knew you. you were really hoping to see him again. and he was hoping to see you again as well. Although he already knew you, he felt like when he was behind that mask he could do anything.

even though you were friends with his sister you two didn’t really know each other as much. he was nervous to talk to you but he felt like he could when he was behind the mask. nobody really knew his feelings for you other than his best friend ethan.

“Dude you should talk to her.” ethan says sitting down on the couch while handing a soda to chad “I have spoken to her…it’s just—interrupted by ethan “i mean,not while in the spider suit.” while laughing and cracking open his can of soda. “I can’t, I get so nervous each time I see her.” He said taking a sip of his soda

“shouldn’t you be getting ready to go on night patrol, It’s getting kinda dark now” ethan says changing the subject completely while getting up to look outside the window. “oh shit e, you’re right” Chad gets up and rushes to his room to change into his suit. after he changes into his suit he jumps out the window and starts making his way through the city.

he was hoping he could find you

a lot was on your mind and you decided that you wanted to take a walk to take your mind off of things. You grabbed a hoodie and your headphones and started making your way out the house. “it’s cold as fuck out here…” mumbling to yourself. this time you decided to avoid the alleyway and walk on the street.

while walking you put the hood of your hoodie on and start listening to music. But all of a sudden you were startled by a web hooking onto your phone and pulling it up. You knew exactly who it was, you looked up to see the masked hero sitting on top of a lamp post.

“Well hey there spider boy” with a smile on your face since you were finally able to see the masked hero again. “Hey there pretty girl” he says while hopping off the lamp posts. that nickname made you a bit flustered. “so..what are you doing out here this late? I thought you learned your lesson from last time” slowly leaning into your face. you rolled your eyes “well… I was bored and I wanted to get my mind off of some things” you couldn’t lie, he was quite humorous. you start walking off

“Well..since you’re bored how about I walk with you?” he says while catching up to you. “Aren’t you supposed over be watching over the city or something?” rolling your eyes at him. “Yeah I should..but that can wait I wanna get to know you…” this makes you stop in your tracks and turn around to him

“Do you already know me?” you ask shamelessly . This makes him freeze completely not expecting you to ask such a thing “Uhm…n..no I don’t.” He starts freaking out. “You don’t have to lie I know you know me.” You say laughing. “Why do you think that?” He’s curious wanting to know how you were able to figure that out ”I don’t know I felt like we have some type of connection.” You saying that made his heart beat faster.

“I really like you y/n—-” you eyes widened at the sudden confession. you were confused as to why the masked hero confessing his love to you. “woah woah..I don’t even know who you are!!” quickly interrupting him before he could finish his confession. He takes off his mask and revealed his identity.

your eyes widened at the reveal “chad…?” in shocked that your best-friends brother was the one who saved your life that night and the one you had a tiny crush on. you couldn’t lie, chad was always attractive you just thought you’d never have a chance with him. He was a athletic good looking guy and he had good grades also. You always thought his type would be some preppy cheerleader or something—like in the movies.

and you were the complete opposite from a preppy cheerleader, but he still chose you.

your train of though was interrupted by chad

“I really do like you Y/N….” He was really nervous and kinda scared you would reject him. This made you laugh a little bit “why are you laughing” Chad says while getting more anxious “Because…this whole time YOU were Spider-Man?” this makes you laugh more and he starts laughing too “yeah…”

“You know chad, you’re really cute” you say shamelessly. This caught him off guard “w..what??” his eyes widening completely. you give a kiss on the cheek “I like you too spider boy.” his heart starts racing at a fast pace he felt like it was going to explode! You just confessed your feelings to him.

while you were walking away he catches up to you “can I walk you home?” he asks you with a big smile on his face. “I mean yeah I guess.” You interlock with his arm and you start walking to your house. you two were basically dating now, “so when’s the first date?” You ask while standing on your front porch. “How about..Thursday? We could go to the movies” he says while putting his hand behind his head. “Sure, but this time don’t come as Spider-Man come as yourself.” Winking at him “bye spider boy, I’ll see you later.”

“Bye pretty girl” he says while you’re shutting your door to go in for the night.

Dating Sam Carpenter was like a breath of fresh air for you, the Spider-Man of the Scream Universe. You called yourself the Wolf Spider. Of course, Sam didn’t know about it, you’d know she’d freak out as much about that as she freaks about Tara.

You live just down the hall from Sam and Tara, makes it easy for her to sneak over once everyone else is asleep. Despite a title like Wolf Spider, you love being the domestic and soft hearted kind of lover around Sam. Cooking dinner and dancing in the moonlight with her. Honestly it’s the best kind of secret relationship.

Being part of the Spider Society, on the other hand, can be quite a drag. Your mentor, Miguel O’Hara, is always going on about canon events and how you’re disrupting your own by dating Sam.

You disagree with your mentor on very few things but definitely that. You believe that your fate is something you choose not something chosen for you.

But you do like Peter B Parker and Maymay as your other pal, Spideypool, calls her.

Occasionally you’ll babysit Maymay in your dimension. All that Sam knows is that May is your ‘niece’.

Well tonight is one such night. You were prepping May’s baby food when you turned and found that she was gone.

“May?! Maymay?! Where are you?” You tried to hush call out to her.

And then came the scream. You immediately recognize it as Chad’s. You run out of your apartment and into Sam’s.

“That baby’s possessed!!” Chad screams, pointing at little May who’s currently crawling happily on the ceiling. Little May giggles as she crawls, completely oblivious to the scene she’s causing.

You jump and crawl on the ceiling after her. Sam and Tara just stare at you.

“Maymay. Come here” you gently pull the baby into your arms.

You jump down and come face to face with the Core Four. Quinn, meanwhile, stares in shock from her bedroom door.

“Uhh…hi,” you shrug. “Yeah I’m the Wolf Spider.”

“Baby,” Sam breathlessly says, “that is so hot. You’re a great cook and a great babysitter?! I’m gonna have to keep you”

“You’re dating our neighbor?” Tara asks.

“Youre dating the Wolf Spider?!” Mindy asks excitedly.

Sam wraps her arms around your waist and gives Maymay a little kiss on the head.

Quinn meanwhile texts her dad worriedly, you’re not sure what for. But whatever it’s about it’s cancelling something.
