Hi, Your art is amazing, can I ask how you draw your kwamis? They look so pretty and soft, having their essence, without look like canon.
Tumblr media
Haha! Youve unlocked my secret kwami lore!
To answer you're actual question though, I usually use the 'shape abstractions' and they are pretty much just shapes. I usually focus more on choosing a specific shape for a kwami, one that kinda reflects their personality.
So triangles and sharps for Plagg, Trixx, Longg.
Rounds and softs for Tikki, Wayzz, Fluff.
And so on.
I try to keep them simple and about the same level of detail to each other, but not just... boring. So i like to use patterns, the obvious spots for Tikki, but the stripes and splotches for Longg and Fluff.
How i decide whether limbs are attached is just wether or not i think they look good.
Lore headcanons under cut, infodump warning, but also doodles!
So i think its pretty much canon that kwamis can just??? shapeshift? or project a form that they want to be. So i never really got why they chose or stuck with the form in the show.
I like the idea that they are not normal, theyre magical, they dont work with physics. They dont need to breathe or sleep or eat (except to recharge), they dont even need a mouth to talk, they just do that for funzies. And their form would reflect that (abstraction).
Where does the food go when they eat it?? its certainly not going into their guts, they dont have any. Its converted into pure energy, the kind they use to power up.
Tumblr media
Regarding the kwamis relationships with eachother, the zodiac kwamis are part of their own group, while the main five are alligned under Tikki and Plagg.
So really they should be separate boxes, i imagine some of the zodiac kwamis are abit peeved being stuck with them. Theyre essentially a found family, being stuck with another separate to theirs in the same house. or box even...
Kwamis choose their groups unless they are complementary (I.e. Tikki and Plagg), and when they do they bond for life, or eternity, since they arent mortal.
Tumblr media
Not all kwamis get along, but within their own groups, wether or not they get along its more like family, i.e. sibling rivalry, falling out with a parent, whatever. But they will always back eachother up no matter what.
Tumblr media
The zodiacs are not loyal to the creation/ destruction box and vice versa. They just happen to be put together by mortals.
Kwamis usually choose their primary forms as a group, so they match styles. Its usually done once every few decades unless a kwami chooses to bring it to attention and call a meeting. Sometimes if they bond enough with their mortals they might choose to reflect that in their forms, i.e. toys or truer to life versions.
Their true forms are similar to canon, giving biblically accurate angel vibes. Mortals dont usually react well, hense the smaller forms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kay, info dump over! For now anyway-
I once doodled a little comic strip explaining form shifting before, im not sure where it went, i never posted it 🤔

(for monologue ask game) Post Face-Heel turn Marinette (as BugNoire) tells dying Gabriel that "it's time for Paris to be ruled by someone that 'deserves it'" after taking away his "Infinity Gautlet" (you know what I mean)
Bug noire held the hand of a desperate Gabriel, he tried to use venom but she stopped him. One word and the rings would be destroyed.
“I can just say the word and the rings will be destroyed. You'll be powerless. The Kwamis will be free. Thanks to my magic ladybugs, I'll repair the chaos YOU created. Then, I'll send Plagg out to give the Black Cat Miraculous back to its holder, and everything will be back to normal. Checkmate.”
She could read the desperate expression on Gabriel’s face.
But instead of feeling pity, her emotions shift. It’s a red hot anger. How could he go to such lengths, how could he manipulate his son? How could he let himself do this.
Mercy? Compassion? Her nightmare made her think that killing him accidentally or letting him die would sadden Adrien. But maybe that was the wrong thinking. She has the power now. She Could fix everything.
With a quick motion, she yanks the rings off his fingers, causing them to fall on the floor.
Gabriel tried to grasp at them, but Bug noire grabbed his throat.
“You know, ever since I got the Miraculous. All I’ve seen are the adults in my life let corruption run rampant and cruel people get their desires. No matter how many akuma i fight, it only seems to get worse. And letting you go would be the biggest mistake.”
She tosses him into the glass coffin. Leaving a crack.
“Tikki Spots off, Plagg Claws in.”
The two kwami pop out.
“Marinette what are you doing?” Tikki said in fear.
“Reveal yourselves.”
The small kwami transformed into their true forms. Tikki the Kwami of Creation. everything that isn't yet and is yet to be. Plagg the Kwami of Destruction, everything that is and no longer will be.
Gabriel stumbled trying to get up.
“Gimmi, reveal yourself.”
Plagg and Tikki merged into a giant kwami, the kwami of reality, Gimmi.
Marinette looked at Gabriel.
“I should thank you, it’s only after seeing your depravity that I realize this mess can’t be fixed with a good attitude and hope. True change takes power. It’s Time for Paris to be ruled by someone that deserves it.”
Gimmi looked at Marinette. Knowing that they were only summoned to grant a wish.
“What is your wish?”
Marinette smiled
“Read my heart.”
“What do you exchange?”
Marinette’s gaze fell onto Gabriel
“Read my soul.”
“So be it.”
Gabriel noticed he was being lifted into the air. He realized what was about to happen.
“Please… not this.” He begged
“Goodbye Gabriel. No one will mourn you.”

Hey, would you please translate the dialogue from Gimmi and also how Plagg and Tikki in their true forms call themselves?
Tikki in the subs calls herself "Kwami of Creation. I am everything that isn't yet and is yet to be!"
I'm kinda confused by that because isn't that the same thing? Is it different in French?
Thanks in advance!
Hi!! Yes I can do that !
Plagg: I am Plagg, Kwami of destruction. I am everything that is, and everything that will be no more.
Tikki: I am Tikki, Kwami of creation. I am everything that isn't yet, and everything that will be.
For Tikki, it's not exactly the same thing because she means she's everything that's not existing and she's everything that will exist. So I picture it as if there's a lot of items that aren't existing yet, and you're picking only some of them that will exist? It's like she's all the potential that could be created and everything that will be created using this potential - but the potential is infinite so you can't create everything with it. Does that make sense? 😅
Now onto the Gimmi dialogue:
Gabriel: Gimmi, reveal yourself.
Gimmi: I am Gimmi, I am the Kwami of reality. I embody everything that was, everything that is and will be.
Marinette: GABRIEL NO!!
Gi: Hello little human, how's it going for you? Hey, say, what year are we in?
Ga: I wish to make a wish.
Gi: Uh? Here we go again, yet another malcontent (complainer?). Humans only ever summon me to complain, never to be happy.
Ga: There's only one thing that I'm asking to change.
Gi: Well, what do you want? Eternal life? Wealth? That beans turn red? However, I have to warn you. For each wish, there has to be a sacrifice because the universe is balance. For instance, if you want for beans to turn red, then strawberries will have to turn green.
M: Noooo, don't do this!! (*note: she's using the formal 'you')
Ga: Marinette. Make sure that Adrien never knows about the villain I have been, but more that he remembers the times I tried to be a good father.
Gi: What is your wish, human?
Ga: Read in my heart.
Gi: What are you ready to sacrifice?
Ga: Read in my soul.
Gi: So be I.
Hope it helped!!

Mary Todd pt 7
ao3 Beginning previous
It was raining in Gotham when Marinette arrived, which was far from unexpected. She heard sirens in the distance as she collected her bags, which was also in her realm of expectation. And yet there was something about Gotham that she did not expect despite having been warned about it, the darkness. Tikki and Plagg had explained it to her in great detail, but she had yet to wrap her mind around the situation until the plane had begun it's decent. For according to the kwami, part of what kept the word in balance were ley lines that collected and distributed magical energy throughout the world. Major cities and monuments always popped up where these ley lines intersected, draw to the magic being released. But what most people didn't know was what type of magic those lines were collecting at their intersections. Most believed that it was just magic at its purest form, but the kwamis told in plain words that that simply wasn't true.
Because the kwami's physical and mental states were bound to the miraculous, they could not release their power and energies into the world the way they were supposed to. So the kwami's had created the ley lines to distribute their magic, so that the world wouldn't simply stop functioning just because the will behind the power was no longer on the metaphysical plane. Thus, Each intersection naturally corresponded with a different kwami, and so the cities that had sprung up around these intersections reflected the corresponding entity. Paris's ley line's released Duusu's energy, which was why Paris had such a rich art history (and why Mayura's amoks were so powerful). London corresponded with Nooroo, which was why England, had been so fascinated with Imperialism. But Tikki's and Plagg's cities were unique even by those standards.
First there was Themyscira, the sacred island of the Amazon's was a paradise on Earth, and a large part of that was because of Tikki's creation energy seeping into the very soil and water of the island. Marinette couldn't wait to visit and train with the Amazon's who protected the access point of Tikki's raw power. They had already accepted her as an honorary sister, and she was eager to prove their trust in her. But then there was Plagg's city, Gotham. The destruction and darkness permeated the clouds, the mud, even the rain. Marinette didn't understand how anyone could stand it. She was surprised Gotham had survived this long, with such chaos suffocating her lungs. Marinette's respect for Batman instantly increased as she began to comprehend exactly how hard his uphill battle must be. What with the very forces of nature against him, it was a pure miracle that he had been able to protect even one person much less the entire city!
Marinette took a deep breath as she left the airport. Is this what Jay-Jay has been living with? she wondered, Has his life been nothing but chaos and destruction since the moment we are separated? If he's been working with Batman that there's no way he could avoid the effects...he must have been through so much... Her thoughts drifted as she tried to comprehend what living in Gotham must mean for someone who was actively fighting the destruction. And she was so engrossed by them that she almost missed her second surprise. The Waynes had sent a car for her.
Marinette smiled at the elderly gentleman holding a sign with her name. He was dressed in a fashionable chauffer's uniform; and although he stood with a rigid formality and professionalism, there was a kind twinkle in his eye and a gentleness to his smile that warmed Marinette instantly. She held out her hand to him, as he introduced himself as Alfred Pennyworth, and explained that not only had Mr. Wayne and Mr. Drake-Wayne provided her with a car, but they also had arranged for her to stay at one of the apartments they kept for visiting business partners, who either needed or deserved more security and stability than a hotel room could offer. Marinette wasn't sure which category she fell into, until M. Pennyworth said kindly, but formally,
"I assure Mlle. Dupain-Cheng, that all of the Mr. Waynes believe you deserve the very best we can offer you. After all they have been a great admire of your work for sometime. Master Tim especially. He was very excited when you decided to accept his commission."
Marinette cocked her head with a simple smile. There was double meaning to his words, but she couldn't find what it was so she just said, "Please give them my utmost gratitude. But please, just call me Marinette, M. Pennyworth, Mme. Dupain-Cheng is my mother. And I don't think I'm quiet ready to take her place just yet."
"Of course, Miss. Marinette, but in that case you must call me Alfred, it is only proper."
Again there seemed to be a double meaning to his words, but without context it was impossible for Marinette to figure it out. So, she just nodded and let Alfred load her bags into the car and drive her away. She texted her friends and family to let them know that she was alive and had not been attacked by a psychotic, color blind clown yet, and then turned to watch the city roll by as Alfred drove her in a comfortable silence that was a stark contrast against the chaos surrounding them. However, it did not last as Alfred spoke, "So, Miss. Marinette, what made you decide to take our commission? I understand from Master Tim that he had been waiting four years for you to design for the family."
Marinette smiled casually and said, "Are you close with the family, M. Alfred?"
"I raised, Master Bruce after the death of his parents," he said with both sadness and fondness. Marinette understood and did not push the question when she answered sheepishly,
"Well then I'm sorry to say, but I originally had no intention of working with M. Bruce due to his public image and me being under age for the majority of my career. If I had know that it was M. Tim who had originally commissioned me, I probably would have been more generous."
Rather than being affronted Alfred seemed amused by her answer, but perhaps also a bit concerned when he said, "I understand how Master Bruce's public persona could give you the wrong impression of both himself and the family. But please let me assure you, that anything negative you might read about in the papers is not a true reflection on the reality of the situation. In fact, I might be so bold to say, that when it comes to anything in Gotham, things are not always as they first appear. And I encourage you to look beyond the public image as much as possible, if you want the true measure of a person."
Again there was that double meaning, that Marinette just could not decipher. Alfred didn't seem to be testing her per say...she was always passive aggressively tested anytime an adult realized that the professional they had been dealing with was a child, as Ladybug and MDC. She had hoped that that would change when she turned 18, but so far there was no such luck. But the current gentleman seemed to be using his coded words to encourage her rather than degrade her. It was puzzling, but Marinette sensed that it was kindly meant so she said with complete honesty,
"M. Alfred, I am no stranger to the dangers of a false image. Paris was just freed from a terrorist who used a false image to hide his depravity. And I personally had to combat a false image a particularly bad liar tried to force on me. I promise, that I will give the entire Wayne family the benefit of the doubt moving forward, and I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership between MDC and WE."
Marinette could not see Alfred's silent response from her position in the back seat, but when she met his eyes in the mirror they were shining with joy and kindness. Marinette smiled. The darkness might have been overwhelming, but she believed that she could find joy here.
Dick leaned against the batcomputer desk as he watched his father and brother whisper argue with each other. It was becoming physically impossible for him to restrain himself from just pouncing on them. Movie night had quickly spiraled into an unprecedented disaster once Jason had left, with Damian demanding that they switch their movie choice, the girls determined to just start the film, Tim jumping up and down with unnerving giddiness, and Duke just watching the chaos with popcorn. Under normal circumstances, Dick would have stepped into control the growing insanity, but he and Roy were too concerned about Jason to notice much of it.
Roy had then confirmed that Jason had begun acting oddly when they had met Marinette Dupain-Cheng at the Paris Hero's Gala. Roy had then tried to recount exactly how Jason had been odd, but he admitted that the only thing he really remembered about the encounter was being impressed by the beautiful, young woman, and frustrated with Jason for being so rude to her. "At first, I thought it was because I was flirting with an 18 year old. But there's only a three year age gap, and it's not like Jason could talk considering some of his relationship age gaps."
"Yeah," Dick said, "But he was always the younger one in those situations. But if that was all it was, then he wouldn't be reacting this way! Do you think this could have anything to do with why he went up to the Watchtower?"
Roy shook his head as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm at a loss here man. There is something we're missing here. Something important, and it has to do with Marinette, Paris, and probably Ladybug. According to Laurel, Jason went up there to have it out with the Parisian and Batman. No one knows what they talked about, but Wonder Woman was pissed when she heard that Batman was confronting her by himself. Laurel said he stormed in with a storm above his head, and ran out as if the devil was on his heels."
Dick sighed and rubbed his head as he tried to make sense of everything that was going on. He was missing something and that had only become increasingly obvious the longer he watched his brother and father talk down in the Batcave. The whole thing put him on edge because they were getting along. They were actually getting along and talking with each other as they tried to plan for...whatever they were trying to plan for. Dick was trying to respect their boundaries, and let them come to him for help. But the longer their hushed planning beside the Batmobile continued, the closer Dick came to jumping in the Batcomupter's chair and doing a quick search on MDC before they could stop him.
Finally something happened to distract him. True, Dick almost jumped out of his skin when the phone rang, but it was enough to keep him from tying his family to a chair and flat out demanding information. "Go for Nightwing," he said as casually as he could into the phone's receiver. He was not ready for the voice on the other end of the line.
"Nightwing, this is Ladybug, hero of Paris. We haven't officially met yet, but let me just say I am a fan of your work. Your fashion sense is a little...off putting, but you have improved so I'm willing to forgive ad forget as they say."
"Uh," Dick said stiff and confused, "Thank you?"
"Now," Ladybug said with a deadly seriousness, "This is of the utmost importance, and you must answer with a clear yes or no. And please don't lie, I'll know if you do. So, tell me, is Batman there and is Red Hood with him?"
"Uh..." Dick hesitated, conflicted with what he should do. Curiosity and fear waged a war within him, but in the end he decided that it was probably best not to lie to the superhero. He had read the reports, and he had nothing but the utmost respect for her and Chat Noir, and maybe even a heathy amount of fear. "Yeah," he finally said, "Do you want me to put him on?"
"On speaker if you please," Ladybug said. And Nightwing turned to the pair still whispering by the car oblivious to what was going on.
"Hey B," Nightwing said trying to be casual, "Ladybug's on the line."
Both Bruce and Jason froze so stiffly and quickly that it would have been funny if it wasn't terrifying. Anything that had those two acting in sync could not be good for any of them. But, as if to add to the confusion, when Bruce groaned and moved forward, he used his "tired dad" groan, not his "this is another world ending disaster in the making" groan. It had Dick sending a questioning look to Jason, who just ignored him. Instead his little brother just stared at the phone in longing and in terror, as if that simple machine held all of his hope and fears at once. Dick didn't know what to make of it as he pressed the speaker button.
With a shrill beep, the whole cave went silent until finally Batman spoke gruffly saying, "Ladybug, I thought I told you to stay in Paris."
"I thought about it," and there was a smile in Ladybug's voice when she said, "But sitting back and letting the 'big boys' handle things has never really worked for me. Not in any timestream. Besides you had your chance, now it's mine turn."
"I'm not sure what you mean?" Batman responded.
Ladybug scoffed through the phone, "Very well then I'll spell it out for you. You knew. I don't know how long you've known, but given the fact that Red Hood has been your ally for, ohhh...the last five to six years give or take, and probably longer, I'm guessing you've known for a while. And you did nothing. No, you did worse than nothing, you actively hid me from my brother! So I only have one question for you. Why?"
Nightwing stepped back at the rising anger in the young hero's voice. He didn't get a lot of it without context, but he did understand that they were talking about bio-families, and that Red Hood was somehow involved. He also knew that bio-family searches tended to get messy in the hero community, so he could understand why B might have decided to hide this girl if her brother was a part of Red Hood's organization. And it was probably why Jason had been acting so strange. He really did care about his people. He looked to Jason. Jason was just staring at Bruce with eyes that were both threatening and pleading. Dick hated that face, it made him look so desperate. He was pulled from his thoughts again when B said, "Why what?"
Ladybug gave an audible sigh, "Take your pick! Why lie? Why hide? Why not come and talk to me? Why try to bury me? Why wait? Why can't I see my brother?"
"These questions are not for me to answer," Bruce said carefully, but the panic did not leave Jason's face, nor did the frustration leave Ladybug's voice when she said,
"Then get me in touch with the person who can! I know you know how to find him, so just tell him...tell him I'm here. Tell him I want to meet. Tell him..." Ladybug sighed, and the frustration seeped from her voice, and a quiet pleading replaced it. "Tell him I just want to talk. Just once. And if he won't...if he can't...then just tell me that. I have been waiting for 15 years to see him again. So please, none of these half answers and empty promises. I'm in Gotham, so...if he wants to meet, tell him I'm here...if he doesn't then...tell me, and I'll be gone first thing in the morning."
"What about you're business in the city," Bruce said and Dick narrowed his eyes at the concern he heard in the man's voice.
Ladybug gave a dry laugh and said, "Of course you know about that. Don't worry about the Waynes they'll get their suits. I do most of my commissions online anyway, so it won't be a problem." Dick's eyes widened at that but he dared not speak as Ladybug, no...Marinette Dupain-Cheng kept talking, "The only reason I'm here is because I want the truth...you can respect that, can't you?"
"I can," Batman said gruffly, "But these truths are not---"
"Not yours to disclose, I know," Ladybug said with a sigh. "Look just put Nightwing on."
Dick blinked when Bruce and Jason turned to him with very different expressions but with the same message. Bruce seemed to be giving him a quiet warning, while Jason was just threatening. The message was clear, "Don't say anything unnecessary."  But the only thing Dick could think about was why Ladybug was pretending to not know she was on speaker, and that Red Hood was in the room. He soon got his answer when he cleared his throat and said, "This is Nightwing."
"Nightwing," Ladybug said quietly, almost desperately. "Your Batman's oldest partner, so I'm sure he's told you what's going on." Dick didn't say anything as he cast his father and brother a critical look. They didn't react and Ladybug continued, "So, I'm leaving this message with you, because I don't want anything lost in translation, and I have a feeling Batman isn't the most...emotionally in-tuned person."
Dick scoffed as Bruce flinched, but he said, "Yeah that's a fair assessment. So what's the message?"
Ladybug could be heard taking a deep breath through the phone, and Nightwing could almost see her squaring up in preparation. But whatever, Dick thought she was going to say, he was in no way prepared for what came next when she said, "Tell Red Hood...tell him...tell him I'm sorry. Tell him I never meant to leave. I never wanted to leave him. Tell him...tell him I still remember the stories, and that I try to live be them...I try to help people just like he told me to. I try to smile, just like he taught me...Tell him...I never wanted to leave...I never...Please, just tell him that...
"That I understand...I understand if he's disappointed, and never wants to see me again. I understand if he can't forgive me. And tell him...that I mean it...if he really can't stand me anymore then I'll leave, and I'll never look for him again. I'll force Batman to make sure we never have to see each other, if that's what he wants...but...I really hope that he doesn't want that...I really truly hope that...Just tell my brother that...I love him...and that I'm waiting for him...I'm waiting for you Jay-Jay."
Silence filled the cave and Dick stared in shock at the phone as if he could see the voice coming out of it. Jason has sister! MDC is Ladybug! MDC is Jason's sister! JASON HAS A SISTER!" were the only thoughts in his head. He shook himself when he realized the silence was stretching, and cleared his throat. "So...ahem...How long does he have?"
"If I don't hear from you or Batman first," Ladybug said weakly, "Then I'll leave right after the Wayne Gala. If I don't hear anything from any of you by then, then...I'll go and we never have to speak of this again."
"Right...uh..." Dick said awkwardly, "That sounds reasonable. I'll make sure Hood gets your message. And I'll personally see that he gives you a proper response."
"Thank you Nightwing," and it sounded as if Ladybug's smile was back at least a little. "And thank Batman for me too, I know I'm not his favorite person, but I appreciate his discretion with the rest of the League. Anyway, I'll await your call. Bug out."
The call ended with a resounding tone. Dick turned to face his family. Bruce was staring and the droning machine over his steepled fingers with his regular practiced stoicism. While Jason had his back turned to them, as he leaned heavily on the consul. The silence was palpable for three solid seconds until Dick couldn't contain himself anymore. And he shouted, "WHAT THE FUCK?!"

What powers and concepts did you give to your versions of the canon miraculous?
Ooh thank you for asking I was probably going to make a post on my own otherwise. I have quite a few issues with the canon powers and concepts of several canon kwamis.
Tikki the Ladybug of Creation
Tikki's powers remain mostly the same. To be honest the biggest difference comes in the form of the Miraculous Ladybug power. For one thing the name doesn't change from holder to holder I thought that was a very odd decision but the bigger thing is that the power can be used without summoning a Lucky Charm. We see in the New York Special and Destruction that every lucky charm is used specifically for one crisis and Ladybug needs it to repair the damages caused by said crisis and if multiple crises take place at once or if she loses her Lucky Charm everyone is screwed. I've changed things so that a Lucky Charm or capturing an akuma/amok just focuses the Miraculous Ladybugs in a specific direction. When used without one of those things the Miraculous Ladybug power would release an unchecked wave of creation and restoration. With time the holder could learn how to direct it but to an inexperienced holder like Marinette in Season 1 there's no guarantees that she'd fix everything that needs to be fixed or she could cause more harm than good by say causing plant life to grow out of control. A Lucky Charm used to solve a specific problem or an akuma that created a villain will act as a guide for the Miraculous Ladybugs.
Plagg the Black Cat of Destruction
Plagg's powers definitely changed quite a bit more than Tikki's in attempt to help equalize the two (The Ladybug and the Black Cat are supposed to represent balance and yin and yang but Ladybug is significantly more powerful than Chat Noir) Cataclysm has remained mostly the same except now it can be used to destroy Sentimonsters and it can kill a human like what we saw in Volpina's illusion in Heroes' Day. The only reason that doesn't normally happen is because of Adrien's innate sense of self control that prevents him from permanently injuring or killing someone. Miraculous holders are offered some protection and they won't immediately die unless and very skilled and powerful Black Cat used Cataclysm or the power I'm about to talk about. Black Storm is in essence the opposite of the Miraculous Ladybugs, unfortunately it doesn't have a focusing tool like the Miraculous Ladybugs so most holders don't learn about it until later on when they have complete mastery of Cataclysm and of course can be trusted with such a dangerous power. Black Storm releases a wave of destruction and decay and can very easily kill many many people including miraculous holders if untamed. Black Storm can also cause other natural disasters like tsunamis and earthquakes if properly directed. Black Storm looks like a massive cloud of black energy crackling with bolts of green lightning. Finally Black Cats can capture akumas and amoks as well it's just instead of purifying the dark magic they assimilate the energy since dark magic and the negative energy the Black Cat can control are so similar. The baton has a special black void like the yo-yo.
Trixx the Fox of Deception
I've changed Trixx from Illusion to Deception because I think it fits exceptionally better and covers a broader spectrum than illusion alone. Mirage is basically the same except amped up so Volpina (screw you Lila you are awful) is left as nothing but a pale imitation in the face of a true Fox. Mirage can now be manipulated and changed in anyway the holder wishes from a beautiful display of fireworks to a raging dinosaur with a single illusion. Mirage can now also deceive multiple senses at least if the holder wills it, a bakery will smell like fresh bread and pastries, the illusions will have shadows, a rain storm will leave you feeling wet as long as the holder is thoughtful enough to include those things. Even teenaged holders can maintain an illusion for extended periods of time because as long as the illusion remains unbroken the timer will not start and even then skilled holders can split the illusion into multiple parts so that even if one part is broken the Mirage can still exist. The Fox also gets another power Reality. Now instead of only being able to dispel their own illusions they can dispel any kind of illusion or deception (For ex: if Rena Rouge was fighting against Volpina, Volpina's illusions could be banished with a word and a wave of her flute or if she was fighting Chameleon she could force her to return to her original form)
Pollen the Bee of Subjection
Notice how I wrote Subjection instead of Action because even if the writers want to retcon her concept I will refuse to comply. Pollen's power allows her holder to immobilize an opponent so her concept should be Inaction if anything because if we followed this logic Tikki could destroy things, Trixx could force people to tell the truth, etc. Now Pollen, as you could probably tell from my profile photo, is my favorite kwami and as such I believe she deserved a major upgrade and a power that fits her true concept of Subjection. Venom now instead of paralyzing someone transforms them into the holder's loyal servant akin to Miracle Queen, this control is absolute and unbreakable outside of the holder themself dispelling it, the Eagle using Liberation, or if a Black Cat with exceptional control used Cataclysm to specifically destroy it. As long as the body is physically capable of it the holder can force them to do it, forcing someone to forget something, performing exceptional acrobatic feats, or even...killing someone with a single word are all within the realm of possibility. Similar to Trixx's upgrade a teenaged holder's timer will not start until the victim is released and that power is called Absolve. Absolve not only dispels Venom but any form of magical control or subjection such as Malediktator's orbs or Princess Fragrance's perfume.
Wayzz the Turtle of Protection
Wayzz was mostly fine in my opinion his power just needed a little tweaking. Shell-ter's shape can now be manipulated by the holder. Inexperienced holders are limited to simple stuff like changing the shield from a dome to a sphere or vice versa but more skilled holders have much finer control, think Steven Universe's bubble power (specifically in the movie and Steven Universe: Future). Wayzz like Pollen and Trixx gets a little buff so that the timer doesn't start until the shield is broken or dispelled. Speaking of dispelling Wayzz gets a new phrase too, Exposure. Exposure like Reality and Absolve dispels the holder's power but also foreign powers as well, in this case foreign protections like Style Queen's barrier or Penalty's bubble
Duusu the Peacock of Manifestation
Now I’ll be honest I debated Duusu’s concept for a while but I think Manifestation is the best concept for their powers, Emotion did work but I feel that the kwami of Emotion should be able to control emotions. Anyway now instead of only being able to manifest emotions into corporeal form they can manifest desires, thoughts, and even memories. Senticreatures (which is what I’ve decided to call the good sentimonsters) can still be basically anything and have pretty much any power the sheer magnitude of said powers are greatly reduced similar to the Butterfly which I’ll get into in a second, their strength comes from their versatility not their raw power. Avatar is the new power name which I took from the official kwamis’ book just like the Peacock’s detransformation phrase: Fold My Feathers which to me sounds a lot better than Fall My Feathers. Also now the Peacock’s telempathic link you know the one we saw in Heroes’ Day with the cool light mask is much more limited, now it only appears at the moment of contact between the amok and the object, the holder makes their deal, the senticreature is manifested, then that’s it no further communication after that. The Peacock is a little more detached than the Butterfly in that sense. They can also create more than one senticreature at a time they just need to wait a little while between creations or else their previously created senticreatures will begin to fall apart. The amount of time they have to wait after creating a senticreature to create a new one all depends on how complex and/or powerful the first one was and how much energy the holder can pour into it.
Nooroo the Butterfly of Transmission/Transformation
Now here’s the thing I’m conflicted about on Nooroo in a similar vein to Orikko and Barkk multilie concepts fit well (although in this case the powers don’t really change all that much unlike the other two) I just haven’t decided which one I like better solely based on the additional powers I grant each Miraculous. Anyway the base power which I’ve decided to call Metamorphosis, because it fits and is a whole lot better than Empower, still functions relatively the same way, the power scope as I said earlier is just more limited. In canon we see Gabriel creating akumas like Volpina and Stormy Weather 2 who are in one case exceptionally more powerful than the true Fox Miraculous holders and in the other able to create a volcano powerful enough TO FORCE THE EARTH OFF ITS ORBIT. If Gabriel could create akumas like this from the start why not create an akuma to heal Emilie or make Stormy Weather that powerful in the first place. In the case of a champion like Volpina, one specifically created to emulate a miraculous holder, will always be inferior to the real thing. Stormy Weather 2 would only be able to accomplish anything remotely close to canon if her powers were boosted by a sentimonster. Also no akumas like Gang of Secrets where they’re not even touching the objects and all get akumatized to they’re previous levels, either they’d be significantly depowered or Gabriel would need a sentimonster that could boost his powers. None of this hiding this akumatized object either like we saw in Risk, if a Champion gets to far away from their object they start to lose their powers and can even detransform. An akuma (in this case a dark magic powered butterfly) cannot multiply they will simply continue to gather negative energy, which I said before is extremely similar to dark magic. Eventually they’ll return to their original recipient except they will be incredibly more powerful, Stoneheart for example would now be able to manipulate stone and earth and potentially even encase other people in stone to create allies. Now hopefully the last thing is that the phrases are now just Wings Rise and Wings Fall (Gabriel just adds the dark to be dramatic which is totally in character considering he talks to himself and says stuff like evilize) I don’t really get the whole Good vs Evil phrases thing canon has going on
Mullo the Mouse of Multiplication
Nothing much had changed with Mullo honestly especially since we found out in Strike Back that the holder can further multiply even after they’ve multiplied originally. The big thing is that skilled holders can eventually get to the point where they can multiply without losing any size at all. The Mouse does get the Fox, Bee, & Turtle treatment though, Solitude allows the holder to reunite with all their clones and cancel out the effects of other multiplying magics like Sapotis for example (I will be choosing to ignore the canon counter phrase: Unite). Also the phrases have once again changed to Scurry Forth and Scurry Away as coined by my friend @graaythekwami. Get Squeaky was okay but it’s counter phrase Unsqueak is awful I mean they could have done Get Quiet, Quiet Down, or my favorite Quiet as a Mouse, but in general I prefer Scurry Forth and Scurry Away. Oh and also when it comes to unification if a unified Miraculous holder multiplied the other miraculous would get multiplied as well and their power could even be used multiple times by an underage holder but it would be incredibly draining for the kwami no matter what because their powers weren’t meant to stretch the way Mullo’s are.
Stommp the Ox of Determination
Stompp’s powers get some name changes and buffs and I’ll be telling you about two of her powers out of the 3-4 I have for most all kwamis. Resistance is now Stampede however instead of only stopping superpowers the holder becomes truly invulnerable and unstoppable in motion à la Juggernaut from Marvel comics. Holders also gain the power: Bulldoze which turns their determination into raw strength which causes their hammer and body to glow and they can cause massive amounts of damage. The activation phrase Make Way has grown on me but I’m conflicted on the deactivation phrase between Push Back and Stand Down
Roaar the Tiger of Confrontation
Listen Exaltation wasn’t a good concept to begin with but the english concept Elation is even worse especially considering we have Jubilation as well. Of course I myself have kwamis of War and Aggression so isn’t confrontation very similar, well yes it is but all their powers manifest differently. War is about the battle, the bloody conflict between opposing factions, Aggression is the feeling of rage and ferocity from when you’re pushed over the edge. Confrontation is the actual clash, the attack, Roaar is in this sense the opposite of Wayzz (I really wish Attackion was a word), the Unstoppable force to Wayzz’s immovable object, the Spear to his Shield. Speaking of spears I changed Roaar’s weapon, bolas aren’t a bad weapon in concept but they don’t fit the Tiger especially the one we go instead of the one we all thought it would be. The phrases are now On the Hunt and Off the Hunt because they fit Roaar a million times better than they did Barkk and also because Stripes On/Off is stupid. Clout is now Collision which I stole from the Portuguese dub because it sounds better and the Tiger also gets another power: Tiger’s Fury. Tiger’s Fury envelopes the holder in a shroud of raw energy that boosts all of their physical abilities to new levels beyond even that of the other miraculous; stronger than the ox, faster than the horse, and more agile than the fox. This power can also be focused into their fist, spear, foot, or even head for Collision (basically Collision just focuses alot of raw energy into a single focal point to be unleashed). But this can’t be reversed unless you’re already an adult, once Collision is used Tiger’s Fury cannot be.
Fluff the Rabbit of Evolution
Fluff is complicated (as all time travel is) her power is basically the same except for two main differences. 1. Only adults can use it an unlimited number of times unless a loop hole is abused. Whenever a Rabbit or any holder of time related Miraculous enters the Burrow, the center of all timeflow and temporal energy, their Miraculous is charged to full capacity. So bascially it functions the same as canon as long as the Rabbit holder enters the Burrow at some point, but solely sending someone else through time like adult!Bunnyx did to Monarch in Evolution will start the timer. Now to explain the second difference I need to explain more about Fluff’s role in itself. The avatars of Evolution are tasked with maintaining the timeline, the best timeline or that is to say the timeline that benefits the most people. If you really want a deep dive into what that means I recommend you check out my friend @graaythekwami‘s fanfiction Crimson & Noire. (I’m not just saying it’s great because they’re my friend I was reading their fics before we became friends and I love them; C&N, Withered Wings, and Mother Hen are my favorites of theirs) C&N really does a good job explaining what the Rabbit is supposed to do and more importantly what they’re not supposed to. Basically the Burrow is guarded fiercely by every holder of the Rabbit Miraculous there’s ever been and ever will be and if you try and make a change to the timeline that Fluff wouldn’t approve of then you’ll get your butt kicked by countless different Rabbits and their companions. Speaking of companions from modern times onward most Rabbits are joined by another trusted Miraculous holder to support them as being the avatar of Evolution is a very very difficult job. These companions join the Rabbits on almost every mission except for the most delicate and imperative which must be managed solo.
This post is long enough already I’m afraid so I’ll cover the rest of the kwamis in a following post. I’d like to thank @graaythekwami for all their help with ideas and headcanons specifically about the Rabbit Miraculous because time travel is already complicated enough xD

Plagg, kwami of destruction, in his true form
Tumblr media
i'm absolutely in love with his character design

Note
Can we just talk how miraculous masacres and wastes their lore?
They have around 100 miraculous and possible 1000 past miraculous wilders on their records
The past miraculous users being prominent figures in history (possibly) including freaking Jesus Christ
We’re is the in world implications? Like if any virus or empire or religion was formed by the miraculous
Where is the remmants of This? Like rivers of chocolate made by Tikki madness or plagg numerous catastrophes or the bug miraculous time breaking powers or any other effect of any unknown miraculous
Where is the enemies of the miraculous? This kids have literal planet bursters gods in their jewelry (which isn’t the first time someone this stupid has this powers like Hercules if he’s history’s are true) and the order of miraculous taking children to turn into guardians which some people would be against the sole existence of the order and their methods and would try to destroy the miraculous or monsters made by the miraculous (like if someone mixed some kinds of magic with the peacock or butterfly miraculous and made a race of beasts unable to be controlled or destroyed by the miraculous or something) or natural enemies to the miraculous (like demons or parasitic creatures who feed on the miraculous powers like creatures made of dark matter or something) what happens with the evil users of the miraculous (Gabriel couldn’t be the first, right? What about a evil tiger user or evil rooster user or evil bee user or a evil ladybug user searching for the miraculous for ages and how her obsession has basically forced her to make inhuman things to live a while more so she can get her dearly miraculous back making a parallel of how Marinette obsession if ripping her apart) what about evil Kwamis (we know they’re autonomous and plagg caused massive chaos and destruction so what if he was part of a gang of evil miraculous who obeyed no one but he got reformed and now he’s gang hates him and Tikki,of what if plagg destruction made a kwami into he’s enemy which has been getting rid of the other cat users for all the ages which could be used to make the heroes face a true threat by how they have to face this gargantuan monster which has killed all the more skilled cats before him or just a freak roaming around the planet causing chaos because he’s a sociopath)
Miraculous has a massive lore potential by how chaotic, present, uncontrollable and sacred the miraculous are but they’re treated more like plot tools instead of elements of this world (and the other heroes in New York make the miraculous more like if the power rangers existed in the MCU,just this weird guys in latex doing stupid posses fighting this ugly guy and he’s army of 90’s looking bad guys which wouldn’t look this pathetic and useless if Thanos wasn’t in the right he corner fighting captain marvel which would destroy the power ranger villain of this season making everything feel a bit less impactful and Not like a part of something bigger like the movies in the MCU but just a side quest) miraculous you had so much potential but waste it on repeating the same scenes with the same characters over and over again while everything else is wasted and burn to the ground
It honestly feels like the idea of past historical figures having Miraculous was just thrown in for the hell of it, because like the origin of the Miraculous themselves, it’s not really built on much.
The only time we really got a proper explanation about something like this in canon was showing how Marquis de Lafyette had the Eagle Miraculous, and that Joan of Arc had the Ladybug while she was a revolutionary.
Other than that, we know nothing about how and why the Miraculous were given to a bunch of famous historical figures other than to possibly inject real-world history into the worldbuilding, as flimsy as it is. Again, the only time the origins of the Miraculous have been properly explained was in a tie-in comic nobody actually got to read because it was cancelled before the first major story arc could even finish.
This is why it’s a terrible idea to spend so much time introducing other heroes and different power sets, because the history of the Miraculous themselves is barely touched upon in the show.

Scarlet Lady: The Collector
Directory - Volpina
The old man glanced at the Kwami of Destruction, who, true to form, flitted around without a care for the world.
“You know you weren't meant to bring him here, Plagg,” he chided the Kwami, who smirked.
“Yeah, yeah, you'll change your tune when you see what we brought!”
“Wait, you two know each other?” Adrien asked.
“Of course!” another voice said, and another kwami, this one resembling a turtle, flew out from behind the old man. “He's the last of the Miraculouses' Guardians! Hi, I'm Wayzz!”
“And the one who chose you to be a hero, Chat Noir.”
He clenched a fist.
He felt an eye twitch.
This was the guy responsible for some of the worst things he'd ever had to deal with in his entire life?!
“So you're also the one who chose Scarlet Lady?” he asked, and he knew that the old man had understood the message, given his utter panic.
“W-Wait!” he replied, and stood up, opening a box in the form of a gramophone. “I'm investigating how she obtained the Earrings. Which is difficult since I don't know who she is.”
He showed him a box that had an engraving similar to the one in his book's cover and opened it. It contained five sockets, each looking like a singular piece of jewelry... but only one was full, a yellow hair comb with black stripes. He recognized one that fit with the ring.
“However, my focus has been split between that, and finding the Peacock and Butterfly Miraculouses, as well as the Grimoire. It is fortunate you found it! It contains spells for new superpowers that I can decipher for you!” he said, closing the box and returning it to its hidey hole.
Adrien flipped through the book and suddenly grimaced.
He didn't want to know, but he had to.
“You mean I have to share powerups with Scar?”
“My condolences.”
Yeah, he didn't want to know.
The man – who presented himself as Fu – made some tea for both of them, while Plagg and Wayzz played around, as they hadn't met in months; Adrien smiled as the two kwamis enjoyed a game that quite resembled Tag, but flying.
“You know,” Fu said, checking the book, “I always suspected whoever had the Grimoire would have the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous.”
“Huh?”
“How did you obtain this Grimoire, Adrien?”
“It's my dad's.”
Fu blinked.
“Ah...”
Yeah, that was kind of a bummer.
----
“You worried about your dad?” Plagg asked. They were on their way back from Fu's, and Adrien felt like a storm was about to blow all over him.
“Of course! Him being a supervillain almost makes too much sense. It's practically cliché.”
The story's big bad being a hero's parent? He had lost count of the stories where that happened.
“It'll be hard to investigate, though, since I never see him,” Adrien said, pushing the door open. He needed to return to his room and–
“Adrien, where've you been?”
“Uhhh...” For God's sake, you're never here when I need you, but the moment I wanted you distracted, you show up? Make up your mind!
“Go to your room.”
As much as he would like to do otherwise, he obeyed his father, who followed him there and immediately brought out a tablet, showing him a photo of him.
Unfortunately, it was a photo that showed him taking the Grimoire.
“Why did you take the book?” his father asked, clearly angry.
The idea that his father may be Hawkmoth, plus these past months' work as Chat Noir, probably informed his decision to reply in the least helpful way possible.
“Uh, it has superheroes in it? Why do you have it?” he fired back.
“First you betray my trust, and now you give me attitude?!”
You're one to talk, and you haven't answered the question, Adrien thought.
“Obviously, going to school has been a negative influence,” his father stated, fortunately unaware of what he was thinking. “I'm pulling you out immediately.”
Adrien froze for a moment. The best thing that had happened to him in years (because if it weren't for school, he would have never met Nino, Alya, Marinette!, the others, and he wouldn't have had a chance to have a normal life) and his father wanted to take it from him.
You want to play dirty, Père? I can play dirty, too.
He pulled out his cellphone.
“Are you ready for the PR nightmare when I tell my friends – one of which has personal ties to Nadja Chamack – about you keeping me prisoner here?”
His father froze. Gabriel Agreste had clearly expected him to meekly accept such a disproportionate punishment. Instead, he had revealed he had a big gun, was aiming below the waterline – and wasn't afraid of pulling the trigger.
“You're... grounded?” he said after a few sweaty moments. “For a month?”
“Better. You almost sound like a parent.”
Even if he was still punished, he would take it as a victory. The Parthian shot was just a bonus.
----
As usual, Chloé was happy – even humming! – for some unknown reason that escaped Tikki's mind, and as much as she hated the usual consequences, she had to ask.
“Why are you in such a good mood?”
“Why wouldn't I be?” Chloé crowed. “Now that I've shattered Lila's credibility, everyone will go back to worshipping their true Queen – me!”
Yes, she hated it.
Instead of pointing out that no one in her class would spit on her if she was on fire, she went for the most obvious part of why Chloé shouldn't be happy.
“Yesterday was a train wreck and a half and you know it. You didn't even get the book!”
Of course, that was the moment Chloé's cellphone dinged.
“Oh! A text from Adri-darling!” Chloé drowned her out.
“Ugh.” Times like this, she wondered why she kept trying.
----
The students were getting ready for class, with some of them talking to each other about the day's business, hoping they'd be able to hang out in the approaching holidays –
“WHAT?!”
The scream that shook the air was so shrill that it would have probably destroyed the windows if it had been just a bit closer. Several of the students held their hands above the heart, feeling a suspicious lack of beating for a few moments, while others ended up dropping some of their belongings. Poor Nathaniel had to deal with a combination of a tear in his drawing and a pencil with a broken tip.
Sabrina sighed. The only person that could have uttered such a crime against nature was someone she knew, and she also knew she would probably have to deal with the consequences.
----
When Marinette arrived to class, it was to the usual scene of Chloé making... well, a scene. She was crying over a table, while Sabrina did her best to pat her in the back, while everyone watched, bemused.
“What's with her?” she asked Nino.
“THE WORST POSSIBLE THING HAS HAPPENED!” Chloé shrieked. “ADRIEN'S NEVER COMING BACK TO SCHOOL! EVER!”
Ignoring Chloé's histrionics (while also wondering what kind of sucky mascara she used that was running all the way down her face), she looked at Nino, trusting him to tell her things in a less Chloé-ish way.
“Actually, he's just grounded. He's just gonna miss the last two days of school before the break.”
Alright, that made a bit more of sense.
“HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!”
Marinette looked at Chloé in disgust and annoyance. When Chloé was in 'Chloé Bourgeois makes everything be about her' mode, she was particularly insufferable.
“You're not grounded.” Dumbass.
“He lost his old man's super rare book,” Nino explained, showing her the message Adrien had sent him. “So, not totally unreasonable.”
Wait, book? The one I found?
“Huh? But I–”
“THE BOOK! THAT WITCH LILA STOLE IT! SHE'LL PAY FOR THIS, WHERE IS SHE?!”
“Apparently, she caught a cold,” Rose said, sadly. “Poor thing.”
“How would you know that anyway, Chloé?” Alix asked, looking with suspicion.
Chloé ignored the question and decided to assault Marinette, who had her hands full trying to shove her away.
“CLASS REP! YOU HAVE HER NUMBER, DON'T YOU?! GIVE IT TO ME!”
“I'm not letting you harass her, especially when I gave Adrien the book back!”
----
Chloé didn't even bother to stay in class, leaving in order to carry out her revenge.
“C'mon, we gotta track down Liar Rossi! This is all her fault!” she yelled, uncaring of the fact that only a door or two kept her from being heard by other people.
“But Marinette said–” Tikki tried to reason out, but since when had Chloé listened to reason? Particularly when it wasn't in her interest to do so.
“Tikki, Spots On!”
----
“A cold, huh?” Alya asked.
“Makes sense, after walking around in winter, soaking wet,” Alix pointed out.
“Yeah, well, she deserves it.”
“You're still mad? It's not that big a deal.”
“Easy for you to say! It's not your blog that she lied on!”
“Okay, okay, you don't have to forgive her.”
You could remember that you were the one that chose to publish the interview, though.
----
Playing foosball by yourself, Adrien thought, is boring.
Hell, the only reason he was getting any entertainment out of this was because Plagg was willing to play the goalie!
“At least your father didn't find out about me! Lucky I don't show up in pictures and videos!”
He had to agree with that. If his father was actually Hawkmoth, him finding out about Plagg would have spelled disaster.
“Just bites that I'm grounded for the whole break.”
Whatever Plagg was about to say was drowned out by what sounded like a large fragile object breaking in pieces.
Which was followed by several more similar noises. And, judging by the direction, it was obvious where it was all coming from.
“Yikes,” Plagg said, although he couldn't avoid grinning a little: destruction was part of his portfolio, after all!
“Père's taking it really hard. Maybe he really is Hawkmoth.” He turned to look at Plagg. “I guess we should tell Scar.”
“Aren't you grounded?” Plagg asked, surprised.
“You know who's not grounded?” Adrien replied, smirking and giving Plagg the finger guns.
“Eyyy!” Plagg almost felt like crying. His kit was properly learning the art of being a rogue!
----
The matter of Adrien stealing the Grimoire – something that she had never thought would happen, Adrien was too nice a boy to delve into such actions – shook her up a bit, but didn't keep her from continuing her job. She was a professional, and she would keep working unless M. Agreste dismissed her.
At the same time, she wondered what M. Agreste was planning. She had heard him breaking several large objects – if she had to hazard a guess, she would say the mannequins he used for his work at home – but couldn't tell how that could be related to the previous event: she knew M. Agreste, and she knew he wouldn't be one to delve into fits of rage.
“NATHALIE!” M. Agreste yelled, but his voice sounded... different.
He suddenly kicked the doors to his office, forcing her to jump away.
“You'll be the first on my list of inspiration!”
“Agh!” she shouted, crashing against the ground, and she turned to look at him.
“M. Agreste... the fuck.” She wasn't prone to using such words, but the event merited it.
“Call me The Collector!” M. Agreste – who was wearing something that resembled his usual suits, but less dignified and with more colors, as well as a set of butterfly glasses, a hairdo that made him resemble a zebra and a pair of heeled shoes – declared, holding a blank book in his hands.
And he was sparkling.
Nathalie glared at the man.
This was your master plan? Fake becoming akumatized and send a butterfly at yourself?
“I'm going to hit you when you lose,” she stated, before she became trapped into the book.
Screw him being her employer, she was officially pissed off.
----
“Adrien!” the Collector said, kicking in the doors to his son's room. “You'll be a great... piece...”
Too late, he realized that the room was bereft of human presence. Particularly of the one person that should be inside.
“What's the point of ground my son if he's not here when I attack him as an Akuma?!” he said. Seriously, the boy didn't have any respect for his elders anymore!
----
Tracking Scar was easy – she wasn't the only one with features that told him where a partner was – and he quickly set off for her. The sooner this got through, the better.
He finally found her just a few minutes away from school, which was good because this would be a good place to plan out how to deal with the situation.
“There you are, you mangy –” she started.
“Yeah, yea, listen up,” he interrupted her. “I got a lead on Hawkmoth.”
“Now?! Lila Rossi is more imp–”
“Shut up,” he interrupted her again. He wasn't in the mood to discuss the Italian girl. “It's Gabriel Agreste.”
----
If I defeat Hawkmoth, my reign as Scarlet Lady is over! I'd only be celebrated for a few months after!
“He fits the profile: total recluse, financially stable, a total dick, you're not listening...”
She didn't pay him any mind, as she realized the silver lining.
But then I get to comfort my poor, lonely Adrien!
“You know, your poker face sucks.”
----
Scar eventually deigned herself to do something and followed him to the Agreste mansion, entering through the window to Gabriel's office – where they found multiple mannequins strewn around the floor, along with folders and paper pieces containing some of his work.
“Ugh. Someone threw a temper tantrum,” Scar noted, and the perfect retort was on his lips before he could think it.
“You would know exactly what that looks like.”
“What'd you say?!” Scar yelled. He ignored her.
The noises coming from the main hall were much more important, after all. He ran out of his father's office, followed closely by Scar, and they found the Akuma at the top of the stairs. It was clearly his father, if dressed in something he knew he wouldn't want to get caught dead with.
“Where's Adrien?!” Scar shrieked.
“Where's Gabriel?” he asked. If his father was truly Hawkmoth, then he might actually make a mistake or something.
“There is no Gabriel, there is only–”
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY ADRIEN?! LUCKY CHARM!” Scar immediately shouted, bringing out the object meant to be used to fight this Akuma.
“Why do I even bother with my evil monologues?” the Collector complained, while Scar looked at the object with obvious confusion.
“What even is this?!”
Being more world-knowing – even with the seclusion that came from being Gabriel Agreste's son – he decided to tell her.
“It's a bike pedal.”
“A what?!”
What a surprise.
Putting the pedal to her waist, she wielded her yo-yo and tossed it at the Collector.
“Take this!” she shouted.
“NO!” he shouted, but it was too late.
“Thanks, I will!” the Collector said, as the yo-yo got trapped into the Akuma's book.
“EEK!” she shrieked. She had certainly never expected to lose her main weapon like that.
Not that she normally uses it, anyway, he thought.
“You idiot, retreat!” he ordered, and for once Scar was willing to obey and get away.
“A fine addition, isn't it?” the Collector stated, smirking.
Chat Noir grabbed a chair and tossed it as hard as possible.
“GET BENT!”
Before leaving the room, he was satisfied to see the chair smacking the Collector in the face.
Chat Noir – somewhat reluctantly – led Scar to his room, having had an idea that could probably give them the opening they needed.
“You won't escape me!” the Collector shouted.
“Creepy,” Scar said, and for once Chat Noir agreed with her.
“We gotta fill his pages!”
Looking up, he jumped to reach his DVD collection close to the ceiling, the one he needed a ladder to access, and waited. Hopefully, using it to trap the Collector would work, and also hopefully the Miraculous Cure would at least restore them if they broke.
Just in time, the Collector entered, aiming for Scar.
“I will immortalize you!”
“Cataclysm!”
The wardrobe containing the DVDs decayed, allowing him to access its contents – and he began to throw everything at the Collector, distracting him as he kept trying to put everything that was raining on him into his book.
“Ah! Ugh!” He was fast, but not enough to avoid getting hit multiple times.
“Scar, the book!”
Grabbing the pedal, she swung it at him –
“TAKE THAT!”
– and she hit the Collector in the hand, forcing him to drop the book.
“OW!”
Jumping off his perch, Chat Noir quickly ripped the book apart, freeing the black butterfly as well as everything the Akuma had collected, including the yo-yo, which Scar used to purify the butterfly and then cast the Miraculous Cure.
----
So, that's how it feels, he thought. While his accepting of the Akuma butterfly allowed him to retain consciousness, it was still a heady feeling to come out of akumatization.
“What hap–! Where's Adrien?!” he said; he did have to play out his role of 'innocent victim'.
“That's what I wanna know!” Scarlet Lady demanded, but clearly Chat Noir wasn't keen on further dealing with his partner.
“Don't worry, your son is probably hiding,” he said, grabbing Scarlet Lady by the waist as their amulets kept beeping.
“HEY!”
“He'll show up soon enough. Au revoir!” Chat Noir declared, jumping out of the window while Scarlet Lady kept insulting him.
“See you soon. Heheheh!”
That was when a recovered Nathalie smacked him hard in the back of the head.
Alright, he may have deserved that.
----
Fu listened patiently as Adrien told him of the encounter with this newest Akuma, and the successful resolution of the event.
“Since he was akumatized, my dad can't be Hawkmoth, right?”
“Very probable,” he admitted, inwardly lamenting that the first lead he had had in months had gone nowhere.
“I feel bad for giving him a hard time now.” He sighed. “But I'm still grounded unless I return the book, which isn't really an option. I'm totally gonna miss Marinette's birthday party.”
“Says who?” Fu replied, pulling out his cellphone and beginning to take photos of every page.
“Ooh! So I can give the book back?!” he said, smiling.
“How could I come between you and the girl you love?”
“Huh?!” Adrien said, blushing up to his ears.
“I know everything, Adrien.”
Save for the two things I would really want to know, that is.
----
Much to his shock, he found Marinette waiting inside, talking to his father.
“So, I'm just confused why you think–” she was telling his father.
“Marinette?” he asked, confused.
“Adrien!” his father said, either unbothered for his foray into unwilling superpowered villainy or just hiding it very well. “Mlle. Dupain-Cheng was explaining that she found the book and already returned it to you. Is this true?”
Thank goodness Fu allowed me to bring it back! he thought, pulling the book out of his bag.
“Sure is!”
“Why did you not say so before?”
“Would you have listened?” he replied, crossing his fingers behind his back.
It's not like I had it on me! he thought. He wasn't the only one capable of dealing in deflecting questions, after all.
Fortunately, his father's awkward cough told him that he had fallen for his half-lie.
At least, there was that.
----
In the end, Adrien's father decided that he could lift the punishment from him, since it was technically his fault that Adrien hadn't returned the book, and left her and Adrien to say their goodbyes.
“Thanks for getting me un-grounded, Marinette!” Adrien replied, smiling, and she felt herself blushing.
“Oh, I didn't do much in the end,” she said, giving a hand wave.
“You headed home?”
She sighed, and smiled at him.
“I've got another stop first.”
Saying her goodbyes – and with Adrien promising to call her later – she left for the second target of the afternoon. She had to check on someone else.
Finally arriving to her destination, she resolutely knocked on the door, which opened a few moments later to show the face of a tall woman that clearly resembled her daughter in an older format.
“Yes?”
“Hello, Mme. Rossi!” she greeted, waving a hand. “I'm Marinette, the class rep for Lila's class. May I come in?”
The woman bid her in and asked if she wanted some tea, which she accepted.
“It's so nice of you to check on Lila!” the woman gently said. “How unlucky for mia bella to catch a cold on her first day of school! Lucky we're so close to the end of the semester. She'll catch up in no time!”
The woman sighed, sipping on her hot tea.
“Marinette, Lila wouldn't tell me why she came home soaking wet. Do you know what happened?”
Before Marinette could answer, Lila – wearing her pajamas and a very flushed face – came running from the corridor and slid into view, making the picture behind her actually vibrate.
“Mamme, didn't you need to go grocery shopping?!” Lila asked, talking too fast for it to be just an attempt to remind her of something.
“Oh, that's right!” the woman said. “Marinette, I apologize, there are some things I need to buy. Is it alright by you?”
“Well, sure. I just needed to do a couple of things apart from seeing Lila. I shouldn't disturb her too much.”
“Good, good. Now, Lila, you go back to your room, you're still running a fever. I'll be back soon, mia cara.” She gave a kiss to Lila, grabbed a bag and her purse and left, while Marinette followed Lila to her room.
“Why are you here?” the Italian asked, giving the back to her.
“Mme. Bustier wanted to pass on this pa–”
“I'm not going back to school,” Lila interrupted.
“Huh?”
“What's the point? Everyone knows I lied and Scarlet Lady humiliated me! My social life is over before it even began!” she said, sitting on her bed.
“So you're running away?” Marinette asked, sitting next to her. “You think you can trick your mom and miss a whole year of school?”
“You underestimate my power,” she replied, giving a weird grin.
“Good lord,” she whispered, before rallying back. “Why did you lie anyway?”
“Cuz it's fun!”
“Huh?!” What was so fun about lying?
“Well... it became fun. At first it was a defense – new kid syndrome or whatever – since I'd move so much,” she explained. “After a while I started seeing how far I could push it. How crazy I could get with my stories. Like a game!”
She pulled her knees up and half-hid behind them.
“But the game's over. Scarlet Lady ruined everything and everyone loves her. No one will be on my side.”
“Yeah, no, Scarlet Lady sucks,” Marinette replied, disgusted, and causing Lila to turn to look at her with surprise. She stood up and grabbed her backpack, having left the papers on her table. “Look, I don't like liars. But Scarlet Lady is the biggest liar I know, so I'd pick you over her any day. And just so you know, Rose was worried about you. And Alix stopped Chloé from spreading rumors about you.”
Lila now looked really surprised, and pondering at Marinette's words, before she continued.
“What I'm trying to say is that you're gonna have to earn back some trust, but... you're not as alone as you think. Maybe rethink your assumptions before you give up,” she finished, walking to the door and making her way back home at last.
----
The next day was the last before the Christmas break, and the mood was quite festive, if only a bit subdued due to how two of their own were missing.
Then a car gently stopped at the school's gates, and Adrien came out of the back door.
“Hey guys!” he said, cheering up.
“DUDE!” Nino shouted, and ran to hug Adrien. “You're free!”
“Ahaha!” Adrien laughed as he returned the hug.
“Adri-darling! You came back for me!”
Adrien dodged her and went for Marinette, the one that had allowed him to return.
Chloé crashed into the ground.
“Agh!”
Nobody cared, as they were all busy greeting Adrien.
“Welcome back!” everyone said, their moods lifted by the turn of good luck.
----
Nathalie, now more willing to listen to her employer without desiring to hit the man (a marathon of The Best of Gabriel Agreste may have been involved in it), followed the man as he checked the book once more and returned it to its safe.
“Why did you bother if you already copied the book?” she asked.
“I did what was necessary to keep my secret,” he said, pushing the buttons that activated the lift to his secret underground base.
As the hole closed above the man, she couldn't help but drop one last retort.
“You're truly the picture of subtlety, sir.”
----
Lila.
Lila.
Lila.
OMG, what Alix?!
LOL, you comin' to Mar's party or wut? It's @4 at the park.
So I've heard.
Come on, come on, you gotta come!
“Again, Alix? Geez, you're relentless.”
----
La Befana
@zoe-oneesama Hawkmoth keeping himself out of trouble by using his powers on himself. Funny, that.
We're getting closer to the debut of our favorite heroine! Only 4 chapters away!
Marinette's Nonna will come before the end of the week!

GOD, The final episode was amazing.
When Chat noir and ladybug started to fail because they were separated showed how dangerous the codependency was, getting in a relationship without having a strong sense of self is the worst thing to do, you shouldn't do it just because you fell alone.
AND THE AGRESTE FIGHT, Gabriel working hard to gain the worst father award, I can't believe that he brought his son to see his mother's body so he could finally Akumatize him. All the episodes showing the guilt that Adrien felt because he thought that it was his fault that she was gone (and of course it was his father that was saying that), how hard he worked trying to find clues about what happened to finally accept her death.JUST TO KNOW THAT HIS SHITTY FATHER KNOW THE TRUE SINCE THE START.
It was so scary seeing the butterfly enter his ring but SO FREAKING GOD SEEING HIM PUNCHING THE SHIT OUT OF HIS FATHER.
Gabriel though that Adrien will be sad and guilty the perfect weapon for his cause. But he don't know his son, all the grow that Adrien had gone through with the support of his friends, how he had lost the blindfold that his father put, that episode showing the different types of abuse was painful to see but so necessary. Adrien wasn't sad he was ANGRY and tired of being used by his father, how he rejected the akuma and proceeded to transform was so satisfying.
Was so hard hearing his voice so raw and full of pain this poor boy, but was truly heart breaking was the flashback, OH GOD THE FLASHBACK seeing the agreste family before the tragedy god, the playful fencing fight GABRIEL JOKING WITH HIS SON, ADRIEN GOT HIS SENSE OF HUMOR FROM HIM,and then the same scene with chat noir vs Monarch overlapping GOD.
Adrien winning and trying to reason with him for a moment even I believe the words of monarch, like holy shit maybe we had been so hard with Gabriel BUT THEN THIS GARBAGE OF MAN STAB HIS SON IN THE SAME FUCKING MOMENT THAT LADYBUG ARRIVED, that scream of pain and the look of betrayal in Adrien, Ugh.
Ladybug making the same move that she had done so many times to put chat out of the way of harm, how she was hugging his body, Adrien Giving her his ring, Plagg crying for this silly, brave human boy that even in death doors is smiling at him.
The Union of both miraculous, Marinette going full warrior while the power consumed her slowly, the difference between how Adrien and Marinette fight him, Adrien the holder of destruction was trying to defeat him he was angry but still wanted to save him; Marinette the holder of creation was trying to kill him this man was the responsible of so much pain and misery, she wanted to end this war so badly. AND SHE WAS SO CLOSE if Lila have Taken an little longer if Marinette wasn't so tired already, she could have won.
But Gabriel won and now he get to make his wish, the true forms of the kwami were cool the only good thing about it and is funny how the all powerful form gives Three wishes like a genie. The deranged smile of Gabriel was creepy, how his first wish was that the roles of the heroes and him were changed in the civilians mind making him the Hero that fight for justice, the second was obviously to revive Emilie, the moment that she finally woke up was so tense, I remember the theories about if she was bad or good and we got the answer the moment that she take the power and ended the last wish by taking her husband with her as request.
Boy, seeing Adrien in the hospital alive was so relieving but his house is destroyed with both parents gone, Lila have the butterfly miraculous and Marinette is weak and is possible that she is going to die for the overuse. I can't wait for the next season.

Passionate Pussycat
Passionate Pussycat by Cakedecorator
Ever since her 18th birthday, Princess Marinette hasn't had any peace and quiet. She's grown into the most beautiful young woman in the whole world, and as a result, there have been too many adoring fans and "suitors" for her taste.
None of the men can be bothered to look beyond her beauty, and they've started comparing her to the Goddess of Beauty herself, Chloé. Hell, Marinette's even been nicknamed, "The Mortal Chloé" because of this. Comparing a mortal to a god is never in good taste!
All Marinette wants is to be married to her one and only true love, someone who can see beyond her beauty and love her for who she truly is.
Outraged over Marinette's popularity and the negligence of her temples, Chloé concocts a plot to get Marinette to suffer for the rest of her life by making her fall in love with a vile, repugnant monster that will make her life miserable!
It works, just not in any way, shape, or form that Chloé had in mind.

Le Chat Et Le Serpent - Chapter 19
Please note that the entirety of this story is a ****TRIGGER WARNING***** - mentions of child abuse, graphic violence, alcohol use, mental health, suicide, suicidal ideation, self-harm - basically a constant blow of pain towards the characters - as well as some "steamier" moments.
Chapter Summary:
This chapter has some bad decisions that our characters have made, past and present.
Chapter 19: Bad Decisions
Breaking a Pact
Colette fought the sensation that the room was caving in around her. Every cell in her body was shrieking to leave.
“Mme. Graham De Vanily?” The man spoke from the back of the dingy shop.
“Oui?” Colette stood to meet his gaze. His loupe was still attached to his glasses frame as he called her over.
“I may be able to do what you need, but I am a bit worried.” The man informed her as he held the thicker band up to his loupe, as if he needed a second look to ensure that his words were accurate.
“How so?” Colette looked towards the rings, as if the issue would be blatantly obvious.
“These rings hold true to the tale, therefore I must ask, why are you wanting to release the hold on one?” He continued to spin the thicker band within his finger tips.
“My… my sister passed. And, I… I don’t want to do this alone. I want my husband to wear the band.” She defended her actions.
“Do you understand the power within these rings?” His inquisitive eye was magnified by his loupe.
“I understand that they are dark magic, but they have been keeping our family safe for generations.”
“Quite true, but the rings have always stayed with the twins. You must know, that as the carrier of the love ring, you will bear the twins to whom will carry the rings?”
“Yes, but they are supposed to keep our children safe! How can they be safe if the other holder is gone?”
“This modification comes with a price. May I ask, have you heard of the complications that arise when someone outside of the destined holders wear them?” He asked out of pure interest, he knew that they were warned of devastation, and the changes would not mend that, only stave the consequences.
“My mother said that my uncle was incredibly envious. He despised the fact that he couldn’t inherit the power of the rings. One night, he slipped the ringer off my grandmother’s hand. The moment the ring laced his finger, he lost his mind. For the rest of his days he remained shackled to a bed, his skin writhing in constant pain… So, I’m sure you can understand why I would want to help keep my husband safe.”
“I cannot take away the dangers of the ring, they will always be connected to Graham De Vanily blood. I hope this spell will take away the physical pain… but since we cannot simply remove the power, I can only work to transform it. I can not guarantee what form it will take. However, I can add a sedative spell - it will help to ease the physical pain.”
“Yes, please, whatever it takes.”
“When we do this, you must ensure you never lose sight of these rings, any holder will be able to wear them.” He warned.
“Them? This will affect both of the rings? I thought it would only apply to Cosette’s ring.”
“Mme., with all due respect, I don’t think you fully comprehend the depth of dark magic you wear upon your hand.”
Denying Help
Luka pulled out his phone to call an ambulance, but Plagg quickly grabbed the cellphone from his hand.
“Plagg! He needs help!” Luka held out his hand for Plagg to pass him the phone back.
“I can’t let you. He said he won’t go.” Plagg slightly inked as he hugged Luka’s phone. Unfortunately, Adrien had become far too experienced with the rules binding Plagg. The Kwami of destruction had used the loophole of “not asking” for years, so Adrien took extra steps to ensure it was clear what Plagg could say or do in the event of a bleed.
“No, I’m getting help.” Luka jumped to his feet to find aid.
“No! He gets these bleeds from stress! He just needs to go home.” Plagg despised that Adrien wouldn’t get help, but he would honour his wishes. Plus, he didn’t think there was much a regular doctor could do.
“Normal people don’t bleed when they’re stressed, Plagg!” Luka yelped in horror.
“Look, it’s already stopping… just… just bring him home. Please, Luka.” Plagg floated by Adrien’s face, still gripping Luka’s cell.
Luka pressed his thumb under Adrien’s nose to verify that the bleeding had stopped. “I don’t like this.”
“You’re telling me.” Plagg handed back the device.
“Plagg, is this?” Sass motioned to Adrien in horror, asking a question that only they knew the content to. Is this dark magic?
“I think so.” Plagg gloomily nodded.
“Luka,” Sass grabbed his attention, “you should transform so we can get him home as quickly as possible.”
Why the fuck won’t they tell me what’s going on? Fuck. Just get Adrien home, deal with the rest after.
Viperion cringed as Adrien’s blood contrasted against his green suit. Easily picking up the boy, he began to soar from roof to roof.
-
Luka paced the room, struggling with his helplessness. Adrien was still unconscious on his bed, the blood now scaling as it dried.
“How long has this been happening Plagg?” Luka demanded.
“I can’t tell you that.” Plagg was frustrated at the constant recounting of questions.
“What can you tell me, Plagg?” Luka shouted.
Plagg floated to a far corner of Adrien’s room. “All I can tell you is that it’s related to distress.”
Fuming, Luka stomped over to where Plagg seemed to cower. “What kind of - holy…” his words trailed as he understood why Plagg had chosen that corner.
Luka dropped to his knees as he trembled at the pile of discarded t-shirts. Appalled, he grabbed the first yellow shirt off the top. Stained with blood.
The second piece he saw was coral. A smear of diagonal blood smeared from the collar to the bottom hem.
The third he pulled was white. He suddenly understood why Adrien rarely wore that colour anymore. A lake of brown covered almost the entire shirt.
Panicking, Luka continued to throw shirts behind him. Stained, stained, stained. “I - I don’t understand.” Luka muttered through tears as he paused at the lilac cashmere sweater. Adrien hadn’t worn that piece since he fell asleep at his desk. Through his mind's eye, Luka pictured Adrien cradled in his arms; when Luka set him down his shirt was clean.
Luka held the soft fabric to his chest. Is it me? I’ve seen all these shirts. What does Plagg mean, stress?
“It’s not you, Snake Boy.” Plagg stated, reading Luka’s expression.
“I don’t understand.” Luka repeated, sobbing into the sweater.
“You said it yourself, he has some demons.” Plagg defeatedly exhaled.
“What fucking demon is THIS?” Luka shook the shirt in his direction.
An inaudible sentence tore Luka’s focus. Following the sound, he met Adrien’s green eyes that glowed in the dark room. His face and hair was still coated in a dark shade of blood.
His heart in his throat, all Luka could muster was a croaked, “Hey.”
Adrien silently blinked in return, as if he couldn’t decide if the moment was real or not.
“Are… are you okay?” Luka shifted his kneel to point towards Adrien, cashmere shirt still in hand.
Adrien continued to stay silence, his blinking increasingly unnerving Luka. Adrien sluggishly brought his hand in front of him; a brink of understanding flashed through him as he saw the dried blood along his fingers.
Luka crawled to the edge of Adrien’s bed. He wrapped his hand around Adrien’s cold fingers. “Hey, it’s okay, I’m here.”
Adrien’s glowing eyes continued to follow Luka’s movements. His head pushed into his pillow, obviously still confused.
Luka took the stained shirt in his hand and tried to rub off some of the blood, but most of it was too dry to simply wipe.
“It’s okay,” Adrien finally whispered, pushing the sweater away.
“This - this is not okay.” Luka tightened his grip on Adrien’s hand.
Adrien meekly smiled, his eyelids weighing heavy as he started succumbing to his fatigue.
“Don’t, don’t fall asleep yet.” Luka whispered, running his hand along Adrien’s face.
Another weak smile pulled at Adrien’s lips.
“You need a doctor. This isn’t normal.” Luka’s lip quivered as he spoke.
Adrien wrapped his scaly hand around Luka’s and shook his head.
“Let me help.” His whisper cracked.
Instead of responding, Adrien pulled Luka onto the bed.
“Adr - I -,” Luka started to protest, but knew he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to be anywhere else besides where the muted boy was taking him.
Adrien wrapped Luka into his arms. The flood gates broke within Luka as Adrien enveloped him. Adrien soothingly ran his hand down Luka’s back as it quaked.
Staying Out of Duty
“Adrien!” Emelie shook the dozing boy.
“Mmm?” Adrien instinctually responded, but his consciousness was still deep within the dream realm.
“Wake-up!” She shoved him harder, breaking him from his dreams.
“Wha-?” Though Adrien could barely see his mother under the moonlight, he could still make out the worry that spread across her face.
“Will you come with me?” She pushed an empty backpack towards him.
“Where are we going?” He rubbed his face as he began collecting clothes in his bag.
“I want to leave your father.” She leaned against his bed, straining to fight a fainting spell.
He froze, holding a shirt just above the opened zipper of the bag. “Where would we go?”
“Maybe your aunt’s. You haven’t been able to spend time with Felix in so long.”
“What will happen to Father?” Adrien couldn’t imagine the pain that Gabriel would feel when he woke up and they were both gone. His father had been pulling away for years, but he always felt his gaze. He may be distant and icy, but Adrien knew, without fail, he was there. Gabriel would show his affection in different ways, such as decorating his office with Adrien’s achievements.
“Maybe… Maybe he’ll get some help. Sweetie, there’s things here that you don’t fully understand.”
Going to London was not a small journey. If they truly were to flee, his father would be alone. His mother would at least have Amelie, but Gabriel would have no one. “Why can’t he get help while we’re here?”
“It’s not that simple… Do you… Do you not want to leave?”
The last time he had spoken to his father, they were discussing modelling and working together on a design concept. He knew better than anyone that his father had demons; but they would only grow without support. Abandoning Gabriel would destroy him. “Mom, he’ll be all alone.”
“Don’t worry about that, he’ll have Nathalie!” Emelie worked to reassure Adrien.
“Oh, yeah… We’d need to leave Nathalie too…” The weight of the proposed journey began to crush him.
“I swear, we can come back to visit.” Emelie began to plead.
But he may never be the same. What if he doesn’t forgive me? He may not be the father of the year, but never seeing him again? Adrien reminiscenced on his warm memory of him and his father sitting in the kitchen, hot chocolates in hand. Gabriel was the only one who knew how to talk Adrien through his nightmares. Gabriel may not always have the time, but Emelie didn’t have the energy.
“Mom, you go, please. If you truly think that’s what’s best, I want you to be happy. I will stay with Father.” Adrien decided that Emelie did not need him as much as Gabriel did.
“No, I - I can’t go without you!” Emelie began to cry. She pinched her finger, outlining the tan line from her wedding ring. Maybe - maybe I should put the ring back on. No - you wanted this to be his choice. He needs to decide for himself. But this is for his safety, that was the entire concept behind the rings. No. It’s been abused too much. It’s his decision. “Please, please Adrien, we can help your father better from London than we can here.”
Adrien kneeled before his mother. “I can’t leave him. You should go, and I’ll take care of him.”
“He’s a grown man, Adrien!” Emelie began sobbing. She just wanted him to trust her. But Adrien had always had too big of a heart; he came by that naturally.
“I know Mom, but he’s too proud. He’ll never do it on his own. I’ll take care of him, I promise.” He pulled himself into his mother’s embrace.
“When did you grow up so fast?” Emelie rubbed her teary cheek against Adrien’s short blonde hair.
“Can I blame it on puberty?” Adrien hoped that he could at least bring a smile to his mother’s face.
Rehabilitating Alone
The trap door creaked as Alya pushed it open. “Marinette? You didn’t forget did you?” Alya expected Marinette to be obsessing over outfits, or having a breakdown over gifts - definitely not the silence she had entered.
“She’s… she’s not feeling very well…” Tikki hushly responded.
“What’s going on, Tikki?” At least the last time Marinette succumbed to her depression, she would answer her phone.
Before Tikki could provide an evasive answer, Marinette pulled herself up. “Alya?” Her voice was gravely from the last two days of vomiting.
“You look like shit.” Alya’s mouth rested agape at Marinette’s complexion. Her face was white, her lips frosted with peeling skin, and she’d lost an unhealthy amount of weight.
“Yeah, I’m… I hope the worst is over.” Marinette pushed against her temple.
“What happened to you? I can call Nino, we’ll skip the memorial and take you to the hospital!” Alya shifted to action mode.
“It’s okay, Alya. I already have my outfit picked out.” Her bony finger directed to a black dress on a hanger.
Alya picked up the dress, a true Marinette design. “Girl, you can barely stand.”
Marinette shook off her friend's concern as she ran the silk of her dress through her fingers. “For Adrien.” She mumbled.
Nodding, Alya supported her decision, “for Adrien.”
Author's Notes:
OMG so - I love that Luka did all this to take care of Adrien, is panicking about him - but Adrien is the one who does the calming down. "It's okay, don't mind the fact that I am bleeding on a regular basis, I've got you"
-
I also really enjoyed the creation of the scene where Adrien is waking up. Because his eyes are so damn bright they still almost have cat like aspects where they reflect whatever light is there, even if it's just a crack. Making for an eerie scene.
Also - it will likely be stated later - but - Cosette/Colette are the generation before Amelie and Emelie.
As you can tell, there is still a lot to learn about the rings! There has been a lot of hints within this mini segment, but we shall see more as the tale continues to unfold.
-
The Kwamis recognize that these symptoms aren't normal, but the dark world is just a whole other bag.
-
It was mentioned in the very early chapters that Adrien was offered to leave, so that is the scene that was being referred to. Also - the abuse against him didn't get severe (still happened, but not as horrific) until Emelie passed.

ML Reboot: Miraculous: Heroes of Miracles: Tikki and Plagg
-Yes even the Kwami get some changes.
-So Tikki and Plagg are among the most powerful Kwami, being that they are the avatars of concepts of Creation and Destruction. So other Kwami are Reverent of them. A healthy amount of fear and respect.
-Tikki gets a bit of a shift. She loves Inventions, constantly learning about the world and the new things added to it. She is inquisitive and thinks humans are such creative creatures. She loves seeing how it works.
-She also LOVES Marinette’s plans and creative designs. She even adds suggestions to it, finding the simple solutions more boring. If anything Tikki loves when things are complex. Baked Goods being an Exact science makes her LOVE them more.
-She is less Marinette’s Good Angel and more Marinette’s motivator. She doesn’t discourage Marinette’s ideas, only if she doesn’t think the idea is creative.
-Tikki loves art… but HATES counterfeits. And Tikki hates Unoriginality more than anything. Being inspired by something is different than ripping it off.
-Tikki’s concept of Morality develops along with her time as Marinette’s kwami. Kwami adapt to their user, gaining more from them the closer they grow. Tikki becomes more of Marinette’s second opinion later on as Marinette will know that Tikki is right because SHE knows what is right. But this is much less preachy.
-Tikki views Marinette as her favorite holder.
-As for Plagg, there isn’t as much of a change for him. He is pretty much the same as in the OG. With some quirks.
-Plagg loves watching things break and loves watching hydraulic press videos.
-Plagg also sees Adrien as a servant at first (like all cats) but starts to care more for Adrien. Even bonding with the boy. Something he rarely does.
-Though as he bonds with Adrien, like Tikki with Marinette, he becomes Adrien’s second opinion on things as their morality aligns
-Plagg loves rotten smells as in canon, and also enjoys fish. Finding their smell “Decadent”
-Plagg usually avoids getting close to holders because they eventually die, and it’s that mentality that usually keeps him at a distance but… after getting to know Adrien he feels that maybe his mentality is wrong.

-Plagg and Tikki true forms exist outside of the universe, in a realm that contains their respective powers.
-Marinette and Adrien both get to see the true forms of their kwamis and are the first holders to do so with the permission of their Kwamis.
-Should the true forms enter the universe, the power they emit simply entering it could disrupt the universe permanently, that’s why they make their little kwami avatars. (Think True form Darkseid, )
-Tikki and Plagg true forms are in love with one another (kwami not being in love is fucking bullshit and I’m retconning that). And their users often fall in love. Not because of the miraculous making them so, but because those with compatibility are often drawn to be users of the miraculous.
-The ladybug and Cat miraculous are rarely used due to their power, but have made their marks throughout history.

ladies and gentlecats, we now know Gabriel Agreste's motive.
YALL. let's get to it bc i gotta book it
Important parts:
evil tikki confirmed
Tumblr media
So, at the beginning of the ep the Kwamis warn Marinette not to let Tikki eat the king cake because when she loses control she can create things of catastrophic proportions. Then she explains that Tikki is always controlling her hunger (ahem, unlike plagg, we love these parallelsss), and she was afraid of showing mari her cravings because she'd lose contron and she thought Marinette would be afraid of her true form or she would stop liking her. but also
THEY GET SOME OF THEIR KWAMI'S TRAITS CONFIRMED
Tumblr media
Last time tikki lost control like this was when they invented chocolate and Plagg is like 'lol chillax we got this, it's part of our job'. but we've been knew.
Tumblr media
"Since I'm the king, would you be my queen, m'lady?" "With pleasure my kitty, tradition is tradition after all"
P L EA S E 😭😭😭😭
Tumblr media
MARI GETS A SCOOTER. WE'RE OFFICIALLY IN KIM POSSIBLE TERRITORY.
Tumblr media
And the most important part:
"thanks to the forces of creation and destruction i will destroy that world which took you away, and i will create a new world, one where we never have to be separated"
Tumblr media
i'm so frustrated because this explanation is so vague and it could mean anything, but if I understood correctly:
THIS MAN WANTS THE MIRACULOUS TO PULL A THANOS AND ENSURE HE'S NEVER SEPARATED FROM HIS WIFE BY LITERALLY DESTROYING THE WORLD AND BUILDING A NEW ONE 😃😃😃

I’ve talked about this before on Discord, but it’s something I’m very interested so now I’m going to share it here. I present to you:
Eldritch Kwamis
Think about this for a second: Kwami are basically living primal concepts. They’re elemental forces, fundamental concepts of the universe. There is no reason why they should look and act like fairy children—except if the Miraculi are making them act that way.
Except that the Miraculi are human-made. And you can’t trap entropy. Or time.
I posit that the Kwami we see are only tiny projections of a minuscule portion of the power of the true intelligence behind each force. The Tikki-Kwami we see is only a hand puppet of the true Tikki, which is something much more vast, much more ancient, much more incomprehensible. Something that is barely aware that Earth exists, much less humanity, much less individual humans.
So what are they?
True Tikki is the act of creation itself. The Big Bang, or perhaps a white hole the size of the entire universe. The Azathothian Nuclear Chaos. All things come from her.
True Plagg is nearly impossible for man to perceive even obliquely, as he isn’t just destruction or entropy. He is nonexistence itself.
True Kaalki is a Yog-Sothoth. All points in space are his body. The universe is him. Using Kwami-Kaalki’s portal power does not, per se, create wormholes—rather, it simply squeezes a little bit of True Kaalki.
True Fluff is the timeline. All timelines. It’s actually possible for humans to perceive a fraction of his form: the Burrow is not a separate construct, but in fact his true physical form—or rather, the closest mortals can come to understanding his true physical form.
True Lonng is all storms, everywhere, at all times. Hurricanes, the Great Red Spot, solar flares, quasar accretion disks—all of them are him and he is them. They are his body.
True Wayzz is the edge of the universe—the thing that separates existence from non-existence.
True Pollen is absolutely horrifying. Why? Because she is subjugation. She can’t turn it off—she can’t even conceive of the concept of turning it off. Perceiving True Pollen in any way wipes out your individuality, your self, and makes you just another part of her. A finger of her consciousness. She won’t even notice.
The Kwami we see are simply anthropomorphized projections, built to allow humans to interact with primal forces without utterly destroying their own bodies or minds. But they’re not real. They’re constructs.
Knowing the truth of the Kwami is to know true terror.
