Some ramblings and thoughts on Octavinelle ch1.

I think Jade finds the MC very attractive in a non-conventional way. He finds Yuuta unique and interesting, even though Yuuta would most likely be considered an ordinary, even uninteresting, person in his own world.

Size had never really mattered to Jade. Even when he met Azul, he thinks Azul 'looks different', but different not in the sense that 'he looks funny' but more like 'he's different from me, different from everyone else, I've never really seen someone like him'.

Part of the reason why is that Jade essentially came from the depths of the ocean. In the ocean, at a depth of 300 meters, life starts to become more scant. Fishes in deeper parts of the ocean are mostly inactive and passive except when they had to hunt. Jade definitely came from a place deeper than a mere 300 meters and as a carnivore who's adapted to life in a place where food is scarce (which he also mentioned in canon), they eat at a very small frequency of one to three times a week. The rest of the time is spent curling up in coves or generally just wandering around aimlessly until his hunger instincts strike again. This means that for most of Jade's life in the depths, he sees and interacts with literally no one except for Floyd and his parents. It doesn't help that Jade's favourite attacks tend to be an ambush attack, to strike only at the most crucial time, resulting in, more often than not, instant death of his prey. This leaves very little opportunity for him to even interact with his prey, though there are times when Jade might toy around with them before delivering the final kill. It's not enough for him to learn about them. Leading an isolated life in the ocean allowed him very little exposure to not only surfacers, but also among his own peers.

It's pretty obvious that when Jade came to the surface, he was still just plainly non-human in more ways than one. He's literally just a wild animal wearing human skin, he's unfamiliar with the most basic living necessities on the surface and unable to blend into human society.

One other reason that makes him interested in Yuuta is that Jade has the opposite problem of Azul. He doesn't get gain weight or get bigger even though he eats plenty and rarely exercises. He's been stuck in a slim and slender form for most of his life, and since the Coral Sea's general population seems to perceive being fat as a negative trait, that makes him curious about Yuuta who is happy with his body as he is. It's the same curiosity as a cat who saw something strange showing up in a place they're familiar with. Though Jade might actually reach out and touch him whenever.

ah thanks for your question!! :D

i'm glad people have wondered about Octa, i've been working on it much less lately but i still have so many phrases i want to "translate" into it! Octa has a lot of phrasing from Esperanto, but also Japanese, Spanish, Gaelic, and other languages! @mariecuttlefish has been a massive help with helping me figure out language vernacular.

i've wanted to get back to it and manage my Octa document some more, since there's a lot i still want to mess with! that's definitely on my list of things to do once i'm free from classes for the rest of winter...

Maybe it's nice and dark and the only thing you can see is the pale blue of Azul's eyes or maybe you watch as the bioluminescent patterns dance along his skin(I love me bioluminescent octatrio) Don't worry, you've got eight strong limbs working you over, each one truly seems to have a mind of their own as they work you over. This man, he's leaning back and just seems to be enjoying the show until you're begging him to fuck you properly. Who is he to deny your wish, he's such a benevolent mate, now isn't he?

Azul's never had good stamina, in the sea or out, and it shows when you're intimate with him. It's why he focuses in on making you come via his hands and mouth so much before actually getting to the main event. Poor Azulito only has one orgasm in him before he tires out, but it's a very yummy one when he's with you, and by the time he's actually fucking you, your bones are all jelly, and you're blissed out.

It's a very pleasant surprise when his mating season first comes around after you two get together. When he was single, Azul would get a bit feverish, hot and bothered, and more irritable than normal. Usually, he'd just manage with some potions and rest, but once he's gotten a mate, it's like a switch flipped in his brain.

Instead of being mildly inconvenienced, his entire body is heated and sensitive to touch, yours specifically. It's as if he's taken a high dosage of an aphrodisiac and the only cure is your gummy insides. If you two never had quickies before, you sure as hell do now. He's using you over and over on any surface in his room, office, even in a nearby empty classroom if the need to breed (ha) hits. It's enough of an issue that you both get a stern talking to by the teachers, who are recommending that you two take a rest of his mating season off as to not distract the other studies. They'll make sure to have someone bring your work over, just please go back to Azul's dorm, the beastmen and fae students are starting to complain about you two and the scent of sex.

Once he's got you in the water after that, you're getting bred over and over again and again until he's positive his seed is taken (even if you can't get pregnant). So, uh, hope you have good stamina at least, or else you're gonna have a tough time.

okay maybe he can reach their expectations in ways that doesn't involve a clean record. in his defense that person had crossed a line so jade had to... remind them which line to stay behind. it's not like epel knows that the speeding ticket was just a cover up for the more concerning one and as much as jade liked to tell the tale, he supposes he'd get much more disagreement if he told the other story, so he resorted to talking about the less... severe crime.

jack in particular voices his disagreement, more so when jade had commented on craving meat while eyeing jack in a way that the buff man immediately got offended and snitched to you.

safe to say that as much as you love your concerning, tall, red flag boyfreind he's definitely gonna feel the heat from your glare. that day jade learned not to mess with jack cause despite how ironically strong the man is? apparently he's a pretty big snitch cause he always goes to you and tries to 'convince' you that even kalim makes a better lover.

jade did not like that at all. why like the excruciatingly boring sunshine of scarabia? I mean come on, over kalim and jade? who's less boring? he questions you with a particularly coy smile.

for your sake, he supposes. the five troublesome first years had gotten less treatment for him nowadays and he's made it perfectly clear that he has the capability to mess with them once again, be it in a battle of mentality, or strength. but just cause he let them off doesn't mean their off the hook yet! which is great because with the subtly implications he had made meant that jack with the quick mouth wouldn't be so quick to snitch on him.

for a guy who tortur—I mean, gave a perfectly justified punishment to a sinner jade is pretty childish and competitive to prove that he's a pretty damn good boyfriend that no one,,, absolutely no one (not even your kids lol) can mess with.

floyd's grin was very ominous but when was it not? though his specific harder emphasis on 'no one' concerns you a little and you even had a moment of realization because besides that one guy who miraculously disappeared after he flirted witn you quite literally disappeared from thin air... who else approached you after that?

but just like any other MC you shrug it off :) (for the sake of the plot)

for some reason floyd believes the family thing wholly and had now squeezed himself into it—to the dismay and endless complaints from sebek. besides the obvious dislike the angry teen had out for him, floyd seems to think the opposite and even finds sebek amusing! (to the further suffering of sebek floyd had requested for him to call him dad)

sebek refused of course and explained he already had a father and simply could not!

floyd took it the wrong way and asked you if you were seeing another person 😭 I mean there's only one person 'lilia' in the school and from sebek's 'master-lilia' from their conversation it's clear that the boy was referring to whoever lilia is as his father so he tried to get jade up in it (who loved the idea of storming diasomnia but hell, even jade was wary of the nobody floyd never heard of in his life!)

^ coughs that was his jealousy speaking. in the end jade outright talked him out of it and told him that he could always spread some.. things since it always works.

out of jealousy floyd had told you that lilia sounds like a 5 year old name and is lame. jealousy may come in fire but floyd's come in grude. you just feel kinda bad for lilia lol

Sometimes Floyd peeks at the records they have on file just to learn your address or phone number. If you conveniently run into your child's pediatrician at your local grocery store, don't think about it too deeply. It's just a happy coincidence.

Doctor Jade.......... hmmmmmm. Surgeon Jade Leech who becomes infatuated with you after you come in and meet with him in anticipation of a major surgery you're scheduled to have. With your permission, Azul presses a hand to your leg. His eyes follow the path his hand takes, trailing up the skin tenderly and cupping the back of your knee. He leans in and kisses the joint softly, his other hand holding the back of your calf. Pressing his cheek against your thigh, he whispers how beautiful they are. They’re so unique, they’re so pretty. Darling two legs, why don’t you like them? They’re so delicate and soft, so adorably inefficient in the water. Sure, he’s used to dishing out flattery to whatever poor soul comes knocking on his door, but with you it’s different. You’ve accepted every single ugly part of him even though you could have anyone you want, and he doesn’t think he’ll ever understand it. His hands drag back down your legs and pull away at your ankle, but just when you begin to miss his touch he’s treating your other leg with the same reverence.

“Oh my, you don’t like them?” Jade tilts his head, taking off his gloves before he climbs into your bed with you, already clad in his pajamas, “I think they’re rather darling, myself.” You sputter out a baffled why but Jade won’t hear it. He clambers into bed with you, his lanky form shadowing you like a big cat ready to pounce. His grin is wide at your concerned expression, and he slinks down to your thighs as your eyes follow him. He rests his head on the flesh and curls up in a fetal position, dragging his hand down the length of your leg. You jerk away at the foreign sensation, which makes Jade laugh at your expense. “Look at how beautiful they are.” he coos, kneading the flesh of your thighs, “I love them most when they’re running from me. I do so love chasing you, don’t you know? We wouldn’t be able to play those games if you didn’t have these pretty legs of yours.”

Floyd huffs when you tell him to get off of your legs, saying that they’re gross and honestly, did you really think he’d listen to you? “Ehhh? What are you talking about Shrimpy? I like ‘em. It’s none of your business.” Floyd grumbles, shoving his face into your lap. You shriek something about how you really don’t like them but he just jabs you in the side in a vain attempt to shush you. One of his hands grabs at your knee and the other pinches your thigh as he nuzzles the fat, and now you’re shrieking because it tickles. “That’s the yelling I like to hear, Shrimpy!” Floyd cackles, scraping his teeth against your thigh and leaving a trail of goosebumps in his wake. “Your legs are real pretty. They’re good for dancing and jumping, ya know? They’re fun to grab too.” Floyd giggles shrilly as he caresses the skin, leaving you squirming like a worm on a fishhook.

Dorm!Darling Series - Octavinelle

It‘s been a hot minute with this project I’ll admit. I got so frustrated writing Savanaclaw and Octavinelle that I temporarily lost interest in it, but I recently got my act together and I hope you guys will like Octa ♥ I know the correct order would be Savanaclaw first but shhh let’s not talk about that yet lol

Being Octavinelle’s darling looks like…

♡ Like most dorms, Octavinelle has the open secret that—for the right price—anyone can visit a very special dweller in the VIP section of the Mostro Lounge. Saying the right words to the waiters who smirk and grin at yet another unfortunate soul searching for the dorm's siren will prompt them to open up a path behind previously double-locked doors, down dark staircases and hallways where all they hear are their own footsteps and the mellow tunes of jazz in the distance. But just before anyone can push aside the heavy red curtains containing the most precious pearl of the sea behind them, they'll be shoved into a small, musty room to sign away what little they have to their name. You'd be surprised how easy it is for those people to accept the harsh conditions of the contract when the treasure is so close.

♡ Said treasure, however, is sadly just as trapped as they are. Only when they lay eyes on you do they realize the mistake they made, but at this point, it's already too late. You sure are a sight for sore eyes, lolling on your little pearl bed in the center of the room. Your stage constantly rotates to allow every eye in the room to see you for the wonder you are. You're like a treasure clothed in even more treasures, from gold to pearls to satin. Lights shine down at you, your skin glowing and sparkling as you are put up for a show. But with the chains around your wrists and ankles keeping you in place, there's not much to be happy about as you are forced to remain seen, even if you wish you could disappear. Not many can afford the luxury of being in the presence of the Octavinelle darling, but it's not like you have any gain from yet another awe-struck admirer gaping at you as they never reach out to help. To them, for a horrendous price and only throughout the day, you are an unreachable treasure they can never touch. And so, no one helps you escape from this place, treating you less as a person and more as an exhibition.

♡ Azul's contract naturally includes a non-disclosure about what he's doing to another person in the basement of his establishment. Still, no matter the amount of security he puts up, he can only sigh as he watches patrons getting a little too close to you for his taste. Any distance is too close to you, and he hates that they look at you in such distasteful manners. There was a time he kept you all to himself, believing that as long as he had you, no insecurity nor bully could harm him. You grounded him in even the most stressful of times, and he wishes for these times—and especially you—to come back to him. Even now, he's occasionally overcome by the desire to pull you in his lap, cuddle you and encase you in his arms to replace the many tentacles he'd like to wrap around your body so he can keep you all to himself while he tastes and explores you. However, he's always humbled fairly quickly by his own dorm and thus agrees to hand you over to the benefit of everyone, no matter how much Azul hates you looking at anyone but him. Even so, he's the brain behind the operation, making sure you lack nothing in life, going out of his way to procure you the best of the best, whether it be clothes, food, or other things you might need. No skincare is too expensive, and Azul has procured you a room full of outfits from Pomefiore, so you don't even have to think about what to wear anymore. Almost all the income he curates through you is spent back on you, one way or another, and Azul would not want it any other way. And after a long day of hard work for you two, he cuddles up next to you on your bed, telling you what a good job you two did that day, wiping away your tears and burying your face in his chest, grinning from ear to ear as he finally has you all to himself for a while.

♡ You are the dorm inhabitants' little mermaid, not necessarily because you drag them to the ocean's depths with your singing, but because you are the wonder to awe at and forget their stressful everyday life for a while with. It's not magic that eases their tension, but the knowledge that you are waiting for your captors to come home and take care of you. A purpose to strive for greater things, even though their achievements will never mean anything to you personally. The students believe there is more in life than just getting good grades and building their own fortune. So, to learn the true meaning of benevolence, they've decided to share and worship you. No matter how much they admire you, are thankful to you, and love you, you, on the other hand, have very little to aspire for, as Azul and the Tweels have assured you many times that for as long as they can guarantee it, you'll not leave this magical place they created for the dorm. After all, it's for the sake of everyone, and staying is quite benevolent for you.

♡ It's hard to say which of your personal guards is worse, but whenever they force you to decide who you like better, Jade is more likely to take pity on you if you say it's him. At least... at first. If Azul is the brain, Jade is the reliable right hand taking action. Whenever you refuse to participate in living, Jade spoon-feeds you, washes, dresses, and ensures you're living up to your reputation and responsibility. His hands may be cold and abrasive, working quickly and efficiently, but you don't dare to underestimate them wandering, exploring, and studying you, his eyes so full of hunger as if he wanted to gobble you whole and to have you all to himself. Not choosing Floyd when they demand a choice from you also makes him more likely to tease you, nails scratching over your skin, fingers pinching you whenever he wants to correct your behavior or attitude, and his breath against your body a warning and promise of how much he wants to bite into it. Jade is ravenous when it comes to you. Even though he knows you belong to everyone, he likes leaving his mark on you somewhere barely hidden by your clothes. Hence, he has a reason to punish you if you accidentally show it to anyone and upset the other students. You are the perfect outlet for all the mischievous wants and emotions he keeps under wraps throughout the day to be as perfect of a Vice Housewarden as he can be. But once you two are alone, everything is fair game—especially you.

♡ Most of the students are too much in awe of you, treating you like an oracle rather than a captive. A small percentage of students only come to thank you and tell you how much you mean to them, but most are much pushier in their pursuit of you. Once the patrons paid their dues to see you, the students flock to you in masses, invading your personal space with no regard for your well-being, pleading their woes, and kissing your feet in worship, believing you'll grant them some kind of luck for their next endeavors. It's the most stressful time of your day, but you can always feel Azul's or the twins' gazes in the back of your neck, ready to punish you if you don't fulfill your purpose and give everyone the peace of mind they're seeking from you. It's your job to stop students from fighting over you, to correct unwanted hands slipping under your clothes, or students getting a bit too comfortable with the power they have over you. It's chaos, and it's your fault if it escalates. It's tiring, and you are worn out when the last one finally leaves, only for the dorm's management to have their turn with you.

♡ There have been so many breaking points for you that sometimes, you can't help but sit numbly on your bed, letting these eyes rake over you while your thoughts are elsewhere. You merely wait out the time until you can breathe again since everything feels so suffocating, only your dreams taking you away from this place, but you're stuck in reality. You've fought so hard against the mistakes you made in the past, but you never succeeded in getting away from this horror basement you were kept in. By now, Azul merely gives you a pitiful smile when you ask for your contract again, wanting to find some impossible loophole in it that will allow you to leave. You begged and cried, fought your captors and punishments, but still, they swear they love you and, much more important, need you! So you have to remain with them. You don't know what will happen to you when they graduate, but you don't even know what is happening outside of your basement prison, so your foresight is generally very short. Asking for help doesn't work. The only patron that ever tried to touch the chains keeping you on stage had been swiftly removed by Floyd and Jade and never returned to the Mostro Lounge again. It's all so hopeless that sometimes you'll entertain the idea of being the perfect little human to keep for your dorm. Sometimes you snuggle into Azul's chest, asking him to tell you about his day so you can hear something other than the same old jazz from the music player. Sometimes you lean back and enjoy Jade applying your skincare, listening to him hum some sea-folk song as he gently lets his fingertips flutter over your skin. And sometimes you force the corners of your mouth upwards when Floyd stares at you, watching his features soften as he breathes out, smiling at you before rubbing your head appreciatively. Those are the little things you can control. Your little escapes.

♡ Many people feared Floyd obsessing over you, even his friends. Not for your sake but for their own. However, Floyd is brusque and dismissive of you, even though you can always feel his protective gaze at your back while you're 'performing' on the stage or when he's trying to find fault to punish you. There's no saying why there's a discrepancy between the way he treats you and the very obvious way he wants you, especially because Floyd tends to do whatever he wants regardless of orders from anyone. But if you had to guess, then it would be because he absolutely hates loving you. He hates that he's so invested in his little oyster because so is everyone else. Floyd wants you all to himself while constantly being told not to get too attached and everyone holding him back from having you. Hating, punishing, and hurting you are the only ways he can cope with this. It allows him to deal with being denied having you, and at the same time, it's the only way he can be close to you without being reprimanded. Thus he gladly takes punishments as his duty, but just as much, when no one is looking, he cradles you after punishing you to the brink of tears, hushing and wiping the tears away while slipping the salty wet, and little drops of blood into his mouth to still his yearning for you. He rarely lets himself be vulnerable, but when he's allowed to join you on your stage, he needs to have something of yours in his hand, like an ankle or a wrist, so he can regain his sanity after staying away all day. And if he has to take over Jade's duties, he'll do nothing but cuddle and squeeze you all day, napping and exploring you with his hands and tongue, even if it means you aren't fed or washed that day. At last, he got to keep you all to himself for once, and that's more worth to him than you'll ever know.

♡ Punishments are more hurtful than useful, really. There are so many little twists in your contract that make you responsible for everything that happens. Patrons touching you? Well, you must have asked them to do it. Students going crazy over you? You're not doing your job in helping them become more benevolent. Trying to escape? You're breaching your contract on purpose. It's been made this way to give you no chance to even try something and revolt against the dorm's wishes. If you behave well over the day, Azul or Jade might pardon you from minor crimes out of affection for you. Floyd, on the other hand, only cares for what he wants, and if given any kind of chance, will not hesitate to drag you off the stage and to his little punishment backroom where he'll squeeze your bones to the point of cracking just because you let someone other than the dorm members touch you. He has slammed you into walls for rebelling against orders and your contracted agreements, anything he needed to do so you'd be too numb or broken afterward to pull any more stunts in his presence. And if you resist Floyd, he takes it very personally, applying his nails and teeth to leave a personal punishment on you too.

♡ After going through this so many times, who can blame you for dying a little inside? For giving up some days just to keep the peace and to allow yourself to heal? You can't help but go unresponsive and mute. Let people push you around and use you to absolve them of their worries. Luckily, you are never alone with all these caring, loving students around you to worship the stage you remain on. And when things become too hard, you can rely on Azul, Jade, and Floyd to be the puppeteers while you play the part of the numb puppet. No one outside your little cave will ever know about the poor, unfortunate soul trapped under the sea of twisted love, and until the next patron pays for a glimpse of you, you'll remain forgotten like seafoam.

OOOOOOOOUGGHH DETER AND HIS MOM. FUCK, THE H U G S BIT HURTS MY HEART EVERY TIME IT IS VISCERALLY EFFECTIVE PELO YOU MONSTER ❤️

Moloch is so threatening I GASPED as we finally got to see him achieve Leg Rights and dud he ever put them to WORK running like that all over town!!

Gregor was incredible and competent and despite being opposing to the norm of how the kids go about things, a net positive for the town. His entrapment/death/conversion to what the cult put him through in the ending is an endangerment to the safety of everyone. That he really did care and want to protect the kids was sweet, and while harsh his reality check to Lila was something she's had coming.

I WAS RIGHT ABOUT SO MANY THINGS GOING INTO THIS I WAS SO EXCITED!!!!! Not beating the witch allegations in the slightest and still with so many questions and wonder.

I love how much we learn and yet how much there is to learn. Connections that are only half-given and have to be speculated and discovered with the ARG and background inferences. I still need to go over the frames and take in all the background characters. I don't know how far into November this is set but it's not long enough for Lila.

Getting the feeling that the Theives Duo were hired to go through the house yet settle on the attic, to nab THE DAD'S STUFF given its all strewn about the house after they get whooped, and then the New Grounds Ending confirms it had me shaking. Had me wondering if that's what BOB was sent to do initially in the very first epsiode, but when Lila ran into him he was gonna get a snack. That the cult members backed off at mentioning the spider and the Candy Dealer notes them as having been lucky + the picture revealled of it having been the Dad's (plus Pelo mentioning it has eaten people before) is making thoughts mimic a windows 98 trying to run the Sims.

The Gregor and Moloch ship those working on the show go for and snuck reference to in the show. The "and they've never been married but they are SO divorced" vibes of their interaction here, how Moloch called him by name and would have only ever lied in the past due to Gregor not having Moloch's in kind [the devil a deciever to any word said] hooooo I don't go there but it's next door and it looks fun!

The foreshadowing with the drawings done with Dexter and it's accuracy + Pelo drawing Moloch possessing a lot of characters + also doing so with Eyes + the Other Drawing = F E A R AND EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!

THE EYES IN THE BUCKET STILL LOOK LIKE DEXTER'S AND ARE ACTIVELY MOVING (especially in the Ending Spider Scene) HE IS STILL THERE AND TRAPPED AND AAAAAAAAAA!AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

The Ooga Booga Jumpscare was fascinating and done super duper well!!!! Wanna make a whole breakdown about why and how it worked better than any other so far. There are some layers and misdirection and it's built up really well! Plus what looks like a version of her on Jaune's TV foreshadowing what's gonna happen like it did before with Bob.

It makes me wonder if there's more parallels to Moloch based in the line "I can be ANYWHERE now!" After scaring the Audience. I have a theory that a part of his possession tactic is Fear. To enter someone's body who isn't willing they need to fear him and he can only get one such victim at a time (hence why only Roy and not the whole Hatzgang at once vs Skid and Pump at the same time with no difficulty as they let him in). It's why he Stalks and Stares (Patty, Ignacio) and consistently when we get to be around for when he goes for it, he *roars*. Not bite and claw but roars. He's put off and doesn't enter those that have no fear of him (Gregor, Rick, Ignacio) and I think it's because he CAN'T. It's why even when at his weakest he roared at Gregor. To break the chant, the concentration, to make the wounded and bleeding enemy falter and fear and let him in with that response of weakness. It fails, of course, but hoooo with anyone less devoted I don't think it would have.

BRICK TO THE HEAD. THE COWARDS. THEY GOTTA AMBUSH THIS OLD GUY EVEN WHEN HE'S ALREADY LIMPING TO STAND A CHANCE THATS HILARIOUS.

The way Pump was distracted from opening up and being vulnerable with his sister and kept happy by the toy and the lie, while Skid has no such escape as his own heart to heart is burdened further by the sobs of his mom in a home that is no longer in any illusion safe with a shattered door and evidence of earlier break-in everywhere. These 2 have been diverging in small ways in their outlook on things for awhile now, but this episode's ending and scenes about parents, about knowing more and less than each other (The way Skid didn't know about Moloch not running but Pump did and how Skid started to ask what he meant, how Skid still associates all Happy Fellas as Stabby while Pump could see it was Dexter-specific because he could **see** through to what Dexter WAS according to the notes... if Gregor hadn't interrupted there may have been Words. Going forward, it feels like they're going to again.)

IGNACIO AND THE ILLEGAL GUN OF COMEDIC CONTRAST

I cannot stress enough how much Kevin feels like he's being pushed further and further towards a total breakdown and that he NEEDS a coworker to help like Radford [AAAAAAAAAAA THEATRE MAN RETURNS I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE HIM HE PLAYS OFF KEVIN SO SO WELL AAAAA] It's not an if so much as a When with the way his vision is Scribblifying so much (a treat for the eyes tho) and while he CAN cool off if nothing goes immediately wrong its just gonna keep going wrong.

Roy is having problems and given his parents and vibe of his family plus his contact to Skid and Pump, guessing it's likely tied to how it's status quo isn't sitting well and the need for escape with friends. Parents who are present yet Not in how it matters and how they're needed by the child. So glad he's willing to open up at all (the contrast from the second episode is staggering) but like Kevin it feels like he's building up to a bigger breakdown.

It is for Susie's safety and well being that she never met Moloch and yet she might well have been a huge fan given her enjoyment of demons! Have to wonder how she'd react to seeing the ashen form of Moloch in the attic if she ever went digging for what's been going on herself.

Ignacio may be any number of things and the picture with the dad is making me run in circles around the room I am seething with th3 need to shake him even though he'd shoot me point blank. Speaking of, the fact that he was carrying it on his person with taking out the trash and how he used it genuinely made me think that if Skid and Pump bothered him one more time he was going to pop 'em where they stood the same way he was so unbothered and at the ready I was wheezing XD

Why does the portrait have a diamond why does it have only ONE diamond why is it like that despite looking like it's the one for the old mansion we glimpsed in the second epsiode what the hell is with the mannequin and SHY DOES IT HAVE A FACE IN THE HELL CREDITS CARD

The oath Gregor uses portraying a Lord yet not a Father yet maintaining The Son, as well as a Sacred Sky, has me going no-clip on my chair. I am Not Normal about this and I cannot pretend to be I need the implications of this world's religions being impacted with Eyes having been ever-present STAT and the horror of the cult not being to a different God but the same as Gregor's, simply met by a bridge of heresy to meet mortals with the divine while still of flesh and bone and claim of Death....

I thought Evermore was bribing the hobos to blow up the church but now... now it feels more likely to be either Bob's place (seeing his corpse wheeled in the soundtrack video + that Patty was about to cut into him again when the kids interrupted+ Evermore asking for a specific body to be moved) OR the Mansion (not being invited into any cult and wanting John to shut up about it so he gets an unofficial, literal backalley deal going for some nobodies with no credibility to do the work for him). Evermore is the kind of vain who'd spill that he was in an exclusive group to brag and is also wonderfully insufferable with his blatant ego; the idea that he ISN'T part of the cult and his not knowing and terrible mayor strats only benifit the cult so they don't bother with the risk of somone in power knowing about them and his denial that somone as important as him would EVER be excluded if there WAS one which must mean there ISN'T just has such a good punchline and I hope it's true I really do.

THEY SHARE A VA, IS THE MASCOT GUY THE SAME CHARACTER AS THE BOB COSPLAYER CAUSE HIS BAD LUCK AND MISFORTUNE FEEL SIMILAR! Also the happy fella furthest left moves its eyes after the kids so uh. So uh they might've been on the money to destroy them cause looks like one is already possessed by Something and it also gives greater legitimacy to the internment of the one in The Candy Tube of Shame at Kevin's workplace gosh they're STILL BEING SOLD if they become A Problem beyond Dexter and that's when we get to meet Robert's little sister who has one....

The way Pelo has explained how Moloch got stuck and how the possession works means we KNOW Patty was tethered to her body and unable to do anything except watch as Moloch used her to kill (any by the mess and lack of remains) eat Michelle (mom's name in description cast list) to regain some power and begin to sate the prolonged hunger Moloch has been trapped in. It's how he was able to perfectly mimic her and Dexter. It's why her lower half is coated with so much blood it may as well be dyed the color. It's no wonder she's adamant to have a gun! Glad to see evidence of her still actively working with John and Jack on the mystery in the ARG images too.

That doctor, Mort, I don't know who he was talking with but while he's sus as hell I'm not so sure he was taking the call we see Ignacio make. There isn't a reason to be informing him about the priest, even if bother WERE in the cult- going straight to the mourge and opening with asking if the body had been moved feels like it was a micromanage from Evermore to be sure that what he asked for is happening in a timely way. Have to wonder if he's going to take Patty's place now with having a distinct full name and reoccurance in the episode as he does for 3 scenes.

Gosh I love the soundtrack I've been looping the playlist for it while writing all this, again, not well, so so many thoughts. This isn't even all of them but it's past 1 am I have been typing for over an hour gonna pause it at the realization that something DID curse the Candy Corner for the holy water to have worked as well as the fact that the red head kid, Lucky was super cursed for what we now know as LEGIT HOLY WATER to have had such an effect on him. It wasn't boiled it was in that pot to get as many of the kids crowding as possible, as we see the bottles only effectively splash a single person. A friend mentioned Gregor may not even directly see Lucky given the behavior towards the child is abnormal and as we see here he IS normal towards children, even with costumes he sees as mockery of the lord, so ignoring him crumpled on the ground and the siezing on the doorstep are strange outliers. ALSO LEARING ABoUT GREGOR'S FULL NAME AND THE MEANING AND THE RELEVANCE OF THE ANGEL WINGS IN THE CREDITS AAAAAAAAAAAA!! So much thought and care went into this, I love this series so much, thank you for asking my thoughts on it! ^^))

Shrimpy's Log 002: New Year Schemes

✎ Ficlet ✎ Characters: Azul, Cater, Floyd, Jade, Ruggie ✎ Gender-neutral ✎ Slight use of swear words ✎ Tagged as x reader but can be platonic, it's just a funny little scenario ✎ Based on the current New Year event on the English server, on Octavinelle's day (feat. Cater, Ruggie)

Cater and Ruggie knew that Azul, Jade and Floyd would return for another match, and the dread outweighed the celebration of their most recent victory.

Seeing you in the crowd came as a huge relief. You were even-tempered and sweet, and even if it would be hard to convince you to spend more money than necessary (managing Ramshackle meant you had to be a practical spender, after all), talking to you would undoubtedly ease the nerves. Especially since you knew the horrors of Octavinelle all too well, and could easily sympathize with their plight.

"Hi Cater, hi Ruggie! Having a pleasant shift, I hope?"

It didn't take long to figure out that they were not, in fact, having a pleasant shift--at least not with the fish mafia prowling about. You seemed to catch on to their source of anxiety a little too quickly.

"It's that game Sam's introduced this year, isn't it?" You deduce. "Three versus two... that's not very fair, especially when Floyd's practically two people on his own."

"That's not our only concern," Ruggie replies, tactfully keeping his voice out of earshot from the nearby merpeople. "Jade and Azul keep coming back with better and better strategies, and Floyd's accumulating more skill with each round, even if he isn't abiding by anything the other two have to say. We've managed to come through a few times so far, but..."

"...but Azul's relentless," You nod. "Yeah, I know. So, what about your strategy?"

"Not exactly my strong suit," Cater chimes in. "Ruggie's doing fine on that end, but there's not much to strategize. We already studied all the tips and tricks before this whole thing started."

"Of course there's plenty to strategize. Those three aren't infallible, you know," you reply, eyes sparkling. Your cheerful expression was far too innocent for the blunt analysis that followed. "Floyd's definitely the best athlete, but he's also the easiest to take down. It's not hard to put him in a bad mood--the most surefire way to do that would be to get Azul to berate him, and if you want to get Azul to berate Floyd, you just have to make Floyd so excited that he starts tuning Azul out. Not even Jade and Azul can control Floyd's mood."

...fair enough, Ruggie and Cater supposed. They weren't expecting that to be the 'strategy' you had in mind, but in all fairness, you were around the Octa-trio more than the rest of them.

"The second biggest weakness to exploit is Azul," you say. "I'm sure you remember from Beanfest, Cater--Azul's not exactly the most enthusiastic when it comes to... well... physical fitness as we experience it on land. He's crazy strong, but his speed and agility aren't there. He thinks strategy is enough to compensate for it--and ordinarily, it is--but if you target him over Jade, that's where you'll get the slip-up you need. Jade's the most composed and, like Floyd, he's pretty competent with all land games that aren't heavily reliant on flying, so to throw him off, your best bet is to convince him that it would be more fun to see Azul frustrated than it would be to receive the prize of victory. He's a sucker for all things entertaining."

Cater and Ruggie blink at you with wide eyes, but you don't seem to even notice.

"Say, do you guys have spackle for sale? Ramshackle's crumbling again, I have some walls I need to patch up," you say nonchalantly, completely moving on from your strategic tirade as if it'd never happened in the first place.

It was a fortunate outcome--once Ruggie and Cater helped you find all the things you needed to find (you'd already planned to shop in bulk, since Ramshackle had a lot of unmet needs and the New Year prices were extremely generous), you owed enough to earn yourself a few rounds of hanetsuki. Cater and Ruggie didn't seem particularly threatened by the idea of taking you on, which was kind of offensive, but you understood. You didn't seem as threatening without your usual crew (Ace, Deuce, Grim) around for backup.

Less fortunately, at least for Cater and Ruggie, was that Azul, Jade and Floyd were back to play, and the two had nowhere to hide. Floyd greeted you with a hug while Jade curiously poked at all the stuff you bought, but Azul's sharp blue eyes were focused on the prize.

"I believe we're due for another round," he remarks confidently.

"Coincidentally, I've earned myself a round as well," you chime in, turning to Ruggie and Cater. "Though I suppose three versus two is rather uneven. Can I join your side?"

Immediately your friends--on both sides--began to sputter at you.

"T-That's not the rules!" Azul accuses. Clearly, you joining Cater and Ruggie would completely wipe his strategy. Jade, however, seems greatly amused by the prospect.

"What a wonderful idea," he chuckles. "After all, you shouldn't have to fight this battle alone, you poor, unfortunate thing."

"The prefect could be on our side," Azul snaps. "Why should they join the enemy--ahem, the employees?"

"Hate to break it to ya, hon, but Zulie's right," Cater notes. "It's so totally cute you wanna be all even and all, but the game is that you challenge us."

"I'll pay double," you counter simply. "I need 50 for a round, right? Well, how about 100 lets me play with you? I'm not gonna win on my own anyway, I've seen Ruggie play spelldrive and you, Cater, were a little too competent during Beanfest. Since it's more profitable for you guys that way, I'm sure Sam wouldn't oppose."

Ruggie raises his eyebrows, but after some thinking, grins.

"We do have to win against Vil and Sebek," he reminds Cater. "And there's no rules saying we can't do that. Gotta take the opportunity when it's handed to us, right? No holding back."

"Now hold on!" Azul snaps again, before turning to you. "Why do you wanna join their side? Are you plotting against me?"

You raise your hands in mock innocence. "I'd rather play a fun game with my friends than suffer a crushing defeat by my lonesome. Besides, I know you have a strategy in mind, Azul--one that doesn't accommodate me joining your team. Do you really see me as that much of a threat?"

In the end, only Azul protests the decision, though Floyd and Jade are so enthusiastic about 'playing against Shrimpy' that Azul's protests fade to the background. He ends up agreeing, only after you put on a show of apologizing to Ruggie and Cater for having no experience in the game whatsoever, and after Cater had to thoroughly explain to you how to handle the hagoita. With that settled, the games begin.

...your strategy works like a charm of course. Floyd was so, so excited to 'play with Shrimpy' that he was entirely distracted throughout the first half of the game, causing Azul to snap at him and put Floyd in a terrible mood. Jade was so amused by the disaster that he purposefully half-assed the rest of the game, driving Azul even more up a wall, and eventually Azul slipped up, causing the Octavinelle team to lose once again.

"Bah! We could've had that!" He growls. "One more time. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to spend another 50 thaumarks..."

He and Jade make their tactical retreat, with Jade grinning like it was the best day of his life. Floyd lingers behind, his foul mood still written over his face.

Luckily, he was just as easy to cheer up as he was to upset. You approach your friend with a peace offering and a hug, shoving a small box in his hands from the stack of items you'd purchased earlier.

"I bought that for you. You mentioned wanting to try new candy a while back, so when I saw all those weird candies on sale, I figured you'd wanna try 'em." That much was true. You'd intended to save that candy for a more special occasion, but it was a worthy sacrifice.

Floyd perks right up, returning the hug and thanking you before returning to his twin and his housewarden as if the last match hadn't happened at all. Then you turn to Cater and Ruggie, smiling innocently.

"Thanks for that," says Cater with a smile. "You really are one clever little prefect. We owe you one."

"You do, in fact," you reply in that sweet tone of yours. "One golden ticket, to be exact. I was on the winning team of hanetsuki, after all. The rules were explicitly clear that the winning team earns a ticket."

"Huh? I don't follow."

"Wait..." Ruggie trails, a horrified look appearing on his face as he starts to piece it together. "You didn't... you didn't join us to help us out against Octavinelle, did you?"

"Well, of course I did," you say, your tone as sweet and charismatic as ever. "I know those three like the back of my hand. I've found myself on the receiving end of their tireless ambition and relentless schemes too many times to count. If Azul got his hand on that ticket, he'd use it to its fullest value, you know that."

"You tricked us!" Ruggie replies, scowling. "Ugh, I should've known better than to trust that innocent act of yours."

"Hehe--awe, don't be so upset Ruggie. I learned from the best. You can thank yourself--and Leona--for teaching me how to think strategically," you wink. "Aren't you proud? I've come so far from being that unassuming prefect who signs contracts blindly, don't you think?"

Cater hands you a golden ticket, which you hold with visible awe and excitement. Ruggie shoots Cater a look, as if he might've been able to bend the rules and keep you from cashing in on your prize--but the Heartslabyul junior didn't seem too bothered about being outsmarted.

"You're a smart little freshman cookie, Prefect. I suppose you no longer need Cay-Cay to look out for you," He teases. "Here's your prize. Got anything in mind you want to spend it on? Something cammable, perhaps?"

"Hmm... I don't know..." you muse. You catch the look on Ruggie's face--a look of masked anxiety--and you decide to offer some consolation. "Awe, Rug-Bug, relax. The most expensive items in the store are magical--items I have very little use for. Of course, I could go through the trouble of selling said items and making a profit, but I won't do that to you. There are a lot of practical items I need--items to improve the quality of life at Ramshackle--so I'll stick down that lane. This ticket isn't such a major loss for you."

Here is the thing about us and characters’ virginity: it kind of resets all the time lol Because we’re multishippers + also love to play around with different scenarios, there’s rarely one just one headcanon that we keep in mind. For some, like Diasomnia boys for example, it’s generally the same every time, but someone like Idia is cursed to wake up being a virgin every day no matter what happens to him in our stories and posts lol I’ll try to mention different scenarios, but the possibilities are truly endless.

Alright, let’s go.

Riddle would lose his virginity to either Trey or Floyd. Ace is also technically an option, but for some reason I imagine him either entrusting his vulnerable self to Trey or doing something truly reckless with Floyd and maybe regretting it later lol We actually have a post about his first time with Floyd… No matter what happens though, Riddle won’t stay a virgin by the end of his time in NRC, even though he intended not to have sex until he gets married.

Trey’s first would probably be Riddle, but I can also imagine him having sex with some nameless character maaaybe when he was a freshman. He seems more experienced somehow, and also like someone who is much hornier than he looks lol But maybe he just watches too much porn.

Cater doesn’t remember who was his first, or at least he says that he doesn’t. Maybe it was some girl from one of his previous schools… or was it a boy? He didn’t even get to cuddle with them properly, so it’s a bit of a blur. He went through a phase when he tried to score a lot of “firsts” in just one week, I guess.

DEUCE AND ACE!!! There are options lol I know we like to joke about Ace being a forever virgin and Deuce being kind of a hoe, but I actually quite like the idea of these two being each other’s firsts. Because it definitely won’t be as nice as it sounds, and they do look like someone who would want to “explore things” and go too far. The tension these two have is just way too insane.

I also ironically (based on how many replies we have on this topic…) don’t really think that Deuce would sleep around in NRC, even if he tried to make Ace mad. That being said, I do think that it’s quite possible for him not to be a virgin. He used to be quite a bad boy after all, so one of his gang member could have been his first. Or was it that police guy he mentioned at one point? Could’ve been either.

ACE… is way too funny to make fun of because he’s a virgin lol but I’m pretty sure Deuce would be his first. Unless we’re going an AceRiddle route, and that would be absolutely disastrous.

Leona lost his virginity a long time ago and he absolutely won’t tell who the lucky person was. He wouldn’t refuse to reply either, he would just roll over to his other side and yawn, making it seem like he didn’t hear your question. What is he hiding..?

Ruggie actually does remember his first time because it was the moment he realised that he can make a lot of money doing this stuff! It was probably some rich guy whose identity Ruggie won’t reveal for obvious reasons, but Ruggie still remembers him fondly.

Jack is a virgin! >:C He waits until he falls in love with someone special he wants to spend his life with! But he’s still either end up having his virginity taken either by Epel, Deuce or Vil. The first two would be very spontaneous, passionately sloppy and anxious. If it happens with Vil, it’ll look more like Jack being tamed.

Sigh, the Octa trio…..

Azul is absolutely a virgin lol And while I love him with Jamil too and he could easily lose his virginity to him in some scenarios, it’s much easier to picture him doing it with Idia. It’s just way less intimidating to Azul that way, Idia is much easier to handle. This sounds kind of rude to Idia, yikes… but Azul is just as pathetic, so it’s okay lol

Jade is a mysterious man…. Is he a virgin? It’s not like he cares about sex. But one day he would just randomly mentioned that he isn’t a virgin and like?? Since when?? With whom?? Is this a person from NRC or??? Jade won’t give an answer to that :( He’ll say that he is horribly shy to talk about it, but the smile on his face would make it clear that he isn’t shy at all.

Floyd doesn’t remember who was his first, because he is super horny in general and used to be even more horny when he was a freshman. He doesn’t think much about these things, he just craved all the experiences he could get back then. But at the same time, it’s possible to come up with a scenario in which Riddle would be his first… but Floyd being a virgin doesn’t make him even a little bit less of a menace lol

Kalim’s first was Jamil, 100% guaranteed. Even if he is supposed to get married, even if he gets a harem, his first time would still somehow be Jamil. This is just how Kalim is wired…

Jamil is an interesting one, because he is so stressed and married to his job that I feel like he isn’t that into sex. Which means, Kalim would absolutely be his first too. That being said, I can also picture him sleeping with someone out of desperation, frustration or even self-punishment: it could be either a random Scarabia student, Azul or even Floyd.

Vil’s first time happened with Rook <3 Like I already said, we’ll dive deeper into these two in another post, but I’ll say that despite being quite flirty sometimes, Vil is actually sentimental and careful enough not to kiss or have sex with a lot of people that he liked, so him wanting to have sex with Rook was actually a big deal.

Rook’s first could either be Vil (<3) or honestly some other mysterious person whom he met prior to becoming a NRC student. He is surprisingly experienced for someone who is supposed to be a virgin, so it’s not impossible to think that he hides some things about his quite exciting past.

Epel is a virgin that has a lot of potential bachelors around him lol Rook definitely could be preparing him for himself, but the most possible option for Epel could actually be Floyd. This guy is everywhere…!! Jack is also an option of course lol

With Idia it would also heavily depend on which couple is the main one in any given universe. Because we could have a sweet messed up scenario of Idia and Ortho being each other’s firsts and having more secrets that people realise, absorbed in each other and their own world <3

But in any other scenario, he is SUCH a forever-virgin. Azul is a very possible option for him to lose his virginity with, and of course the Tweels could also work, and Sebek… it truly depends on the ship lol

And OF COURSE Lilia is a very possible one! He would get so nervous thinking about how Crimson Muscle is definitely very experienced and mature and has a family and stuff, and he is just a pathetic guy with a crush~

Ortho would probably have his first time with Idia in any possible scenario lol Even if it was just an experiment on his part. He really loves his niisan…

Just like I mentioned, Diasomnia boys are a bit more “concrete” in the way we headcanon their first times. For example, Lilia was the first for both Malleus and Silver; they have this weird love triangle/square that we always keep in mind for some reason. I guess it just works nicely…

With Sebek it’s either Silver (very likely) or Malleus (if Sebek is LUCKY!!), but he is also one of the more passionately uncontrollable hormonal boys, so no one is truly safe around him. It could be Idia or even Epel lol

As for Lilia, well, he either doesn’t remember his first time or wants us to believe that he doesn’t. Maybe it was someone from the battlefield, maybe it was a specific woman from his past, maybe it was just a random guy. I feel like Lilia could even think that it was one way, but totally misremember things lol

Rollo is a virgin. Duh.

Che’nya is very close to what Floyd has going on, but a bit less active; his first would still be some cute beastboy from his school.

Trein’s first was his beloved wife, but that doesn’t mean that Trein was his wife’s first. Trein used to be quite a shy guy…

And Crewel’s first was some guy from his dorm when he used to be a student. He does remember him, but doesn’t think much of him: Crewel wasn’t the nicest guy back then (and he isn’t really a nice guy now lol).

Part 3

“Hello New York!” Danny exclaimed, stepping forward and greeting the crowd. They screamed.

“Thank you so much! Hey, it’s great to be back! And have you met our newest Horsemen, the May sisters! Y/n and Lula!”

The audience cheered louder and you and Lula waved, bright smiles on both your faces. Danny grinned back at you with a wink.

“Feels good right?”

You nodded, “Yep.”

“Pretty good,” Lula said, walking across the stage, “Pretty good.”

Danny turned back to the audience and started to calm them, “Thank you, thank you.”

The cheering quietened.

“Um, okay. We want to talk to you about your privacy. What does your privacy mean to you?”

“Because apparently to Owen Case, it means absolutely nothing,” Merritt continued.

The audience looked around nervously. Your smile widened as you moved to stand next to Danny.

“No actually, Merritt, it means less than absolutely nothing,” you said before addressing the audience, “You see, Owen’s mocked your privacy. He’s scorned it.”

Danny nodded, running a discreet hand down your back and loosening the tension in your shoulders. You tried not to blush in front of an audience of people.

“Right,” he continued, “and we’re not just talking about the things that you already agreed to when you signed probably without reading the terms and conditions of Octas 1 through 7.”

“So,” Lula began, “Before we start the show, we had Owen agree to a few terms of our own.”

You grinned at her, proud of her for reaching this dream. She looked so comfortable up there, talking to the audience. You were glad to be able to do it with her, too.

“So everything that he had once considered private…” Lula trailed off.

Your heart dropped to your stomach as her mic cut out. One glance at Danny told you he understood and he quickly walked over to Lula.

“Yeah, everything that he once considered private is now…” his mic cut off too.

“Shit,” you whispered, not bothering to mind your language as you assumed yours had cut off too.

The screen behind you flashed and white noise filled the theatre. People screamed.

“Oh my,” a computer-generated voice echoed through the room, “As the Horsemen like to say, magic is about controlling perception.”

You gazed up at the shifting face that appeared on the screen. Someone grabbed your arm gently and you turned to see Danny.

“Y/n!” He exclaimed, “Are you alright?”

You swallowed, fear piercing through you, “I… yeah. Yeah I’m okay. What’s going on, Danny?”

He shook his head, “I don’t know.”

“You see them as the champions of the truth,” the voice continued, “but are they? Or is that just another one of their illusions?”

“Shit shit shit,” Merritt was saying as he and Lula joined you and Danny in the middle of the stage, “Where’s Dylan?”

“And Jack?” Lula added.

“So since they clearly love secrets, let’s reveal some of theirs.”

“Danny, everyone, get off the stage,” Dylan’s voice crackled through the coms, “Jack, go with them. I’ll see you at the meet up point.”

Danny’s hand moved down your arm and gripped yours. You squeezed his fingers in response.

“Let’s go,” he said, pulling you off the stage behind him.

The four of you began running, the voice echoing behind you clear as day.

“Do you recall the death of Jack Wilder? What if I told you he’s not just alive, but he’s actually right here.”

Jack’s alarmed face under his security cap was displayed on a screen you passed as you ran out of the backstage area.

“Dammit,” you heard Danny mutter. His hand was still firmly clasped around yours. Normally you would be bothered by the tightness, but adrenalin was coursing through your veins and you were just that desperate not to lose track of him in this chaos.

“And do you know who else is here? The FBI. Let’s let them in, shall we? And now for the big reveal…”

“Where’s the door to the roof?” Danny called to Jack as the younger man joined the group running to the meeting point.

“Take the next left then up the stairs,” Jack said.

“There’s a fifth Horseman, and he’s the biggest criminal of them all. FBI agent Dylan Rhodes.”

The five of you punched through the door to the roof.

“How the hell could this happen? I thought Dylan had everything under control!” Merritt yelled.

“Yeah. Apparently he didn’t,” Danny said, quietly frustrated in the way you knew he could get.

Merritt whirled on the illusionist, and something in his expression told you Danny wouldn’t like what he was about to say.

“Maybe you’re the leak, Dan. Where’ve you been sneaking off to?” Merritt demanded.

Danny let go of your hand and advanced on the mentalist, “Don’t you dare for a second insinuate that I had anything to do with this!”

“I’m not insinuating, that’s your-“ Merritt began to retort, but Jack cut in.

“Let’s get to the truck, come on!”

You all ran to the black tube. Danny nudged you in front of him, and you jumped in.

Gritting your teeth against the roller-coster sensation in your gut, you crossed your arms over your chest and noted with some curiosity the pulsing sound coming from the gaps in the tube.

You could also hear Jack sliding ahead of you and Danny behind you. After a moment you also heard Merritt screaming further back.

Then, with a thud you tumbled into a laundry basket.

“Wha…” you breathed, getting a split second to gaze around at your surroundings before Danny slammed into you.

“Oof,” he said, “Sorry. You okay?”

You winced, “Yeah. A little bruised, but I’ve had worse. You?”

He nodded as Lula and Merritt tumbled into the basket next to you, “Yeah. What the hell is going on?”

“Wasn’t there supposed to be a truck?” Merritt asked, clambering out of the basket. The rest of you followed his lead. Asian people in white aprons started yelling at you, shoving you through a crowded, steamy kitchen.

“Wait,” Danny said in between being shoved by Chinese chefs, “did you mis-run the tube?”

“No, I put it in the truck, I know I did!” Jack exclaimed, bumping into you while trying to dodge an oncoming tray.

“We’re really not in the truck right now,” you said, stumbling into Danny who reached back and grabbed your hand, the sensation becoming familiar to you.

“Somebody must have moved the tube,” Merritt said, as you all moved through a set of doors into what looked like a restaurant, “Were we above a Chinese restaurant?”

“I’m moving, relax!” Lula yelled at the man who was shoving her out of the kitchen.

“Okay, why are we here?” you demanded.

“Why am I frickin’ starving?” Lula asked, staring at the Chinese food everywhere.

“Yeah, I’m weirdly starving too,” Jack mused.

At their words your own stomach growled, responding to the smell of noodles and stir fry surrounding you.

Merritt moved towards the door, popping his head outside.

“Something’s very wrong,” you told Danny softly.

He nodded, brows furrowed, “Yeah, I agree.”

“At least,” Lula began as Merritt returned, “And I know this isn’t much consolation, but apparently we’re now surrounded by Chinese food. Right?”

“Guys…” Merritt said and you all turned to look at him, “I think where we are right now, they don’t refer to it as ‘Chinese food’. It’s just called… food.”

“Shit,” you muttered.

“Wait, what are you saying?” Danny asked, “How is this possible?”

A high pitched giggle directed all of your attention to the man with a perm sitting at the table nearest you, facing away with a menu held up in front of his face.

“I believe in your particular parlance, the word is ‘magic’.”

I hope it’s okay for me to call you Violet 💚🌷

This is a rather interesting question 🤔 and I had to think on it a bit. I honestly don’t know if some of what I say is unpopular or not, so I guess I’ll express a few of my opinions that I have. ☺️🌺

I guess before I list them I should say that this is my opinion only. I don’t mean to hurt anyone by expressing them nor am I calling out anyone. Literally just my thoughts. You’re allowed to agree or disagree✨✨

Normally, I would assume I wouldn’t have to put a disclaimer such as this because everyone has their own opinions and we should all have an open mind but I’ve seen the internet lol and wowza on how some act to such things lol 🌺🙏

I hate the guest room. Personally, I’m not into that kind of mechanics in gaming. It’s not for me. The fact that we have to do it to level up friendship levels irks me. And it’s a complicated system too which is another annoying aspect. I also kind of blame the guest room function for personal stories being lowered since those have been replaced with furniture. It’s just an extra chore that I’m not really into.

Event wise: I think we have too many octa (+ ortho and ace) in them. My diasomnia bias aside, I don’t think the other characters get enough spotlight. When was the last time Ruggie was in an event? Cater? Riddle? Jack? Kalim? Rook? Deuce? I know octa make them money but still, give the others more spotlight? I don’t count the beach or Halloween event either. Because Halloween, half the cast is in it and beach event was similar. Even New years I don’t count, because eventually, we will get them all in new years outfit. The usually four character events is what I’m speaking of because that’s when you get proper screen time and development for each character. I can literally go on lolol

I don’t know why this would be unpopular but it seems it might be? But I don’t hate RSA. They have a lot of potential story telling wise and their side of things. And I know there’s biasness with NRC and we wanting them to win, but I feel there’s more to RSA than we know. Like how we shouldn’t judge villains, we shouldn’t judge the “heroes” either.

Jp schedule wise I don’t think they are too slow as many believe. I think for the working female class, which the game is aimed at, the scheduling is perfect since it was made for them after all. It gives them time for daily life and twst gaming. Doesn’t mean I don’t get impatient either lolol

On the other spectrum, EN is going too quick. With events and main story. Slow down. What are you trying to accomplish except burn out your fanbase?

I don’t want an anime. We will get one. There’s a high chance and I’ll watch it obviously. But I honestly don’t care for one. The issues that an anime will bring…is a lot.

I don’t think the gameplay is boring. As mentioned before, the game was made for the female working class. So the gameplay is to the point, and depending on the event, can be challenging. But grinding wise and all that? It’s pretty working class friendly. If I didn’t have the auto lessons and battles, I wouldn’t be playing it. It’s because of those mechanics that I am. Thats what stops me from playing many mobile games. The constant forced to play and keep track. Hence part of why I’m not into Hoyoverse games.

I don’t really care for “this place in twst = this place in IRL.” to me, it’s a game in a fantasy world. Is it interesting to see some of the influences? Yes, of course. But that’s it. I’m playing this game for the fantasy setting, the magic, the story, and the characters. I don’t really care to add, realism, I guess you could say? (I’m trying to escape reality okay? Why would I want it in my games?? 🤣🤣)

I wish we had more magic in my magic world. And I think it mainly applies for book 7 for me personally and how “wow, tech is going to beat malleus and save the day” but I kind of wish that isn’t the case. Yes, it makes for fun story telling and memes. But, for a magic based dorm, I want a magic based solution. That and the fact, I don’t care for the implication how magic is slowly being taken over by technology. Kind of hits close to home you know?? With all the AI shenanigans.

I hope two certain popular theories aren’t true and I’ll leave it there. My personally thoughts on them is, I hope it’s not that predictable and I had hoped for a different route for such characters/events.

I’ll stop there before I make a whole essay for you to read lmao 🤣🤣 I have more thoughts that I could share but this is already so long 😆

I don’t know if this was a “unpopular opinion” or more me rambling but I’ll let you decide that Violet 🙏💞☺️

So I edited some of the Lost In The Book With Stitch event with some headcanons

I always headcanon Riddle being ftm transgender-nonbinary (he/they) and while his mother sucks and doesn't support she allowed him take top surgery just didn't give him the emotional support afterwards in a way of "If you're enough to make big decisions in your body than you're old enough to not ask for mummy's cuddles" kind of way

This event helped him the most finally find peace with himself, yeah he felt comfortable with himself after the surgery but for some reason he felt more free here with these people he wouldn't be on a vacation with in the start with this odd fluffy creature

I have a headcanon he has a tooth gap still growing from Ace's punch in chapter 1 that he secretly likes

He started collecting sea shells after this

Lots of freckles

Kind of realizes his crush on this trip, he had it for a while obviously but this made him realize "Oh shit-"

My sister says she can see Riddle's whole reaction to his crush on Floyd like Moana's poll to the ocean and I can see it

Ftm transgender (I grew with that headcanon) and got his top surgery right before attending Night Raven Collage

Lots of freckles

Kind of wishes he stayed just cause he adored the feeling of being there so much

Knows now he would be a good dad

After this his mood with his friends became different, he became more chill and nicer to those he isn't too, even Riddle after they kind of talked things over by the water

Has lots of scars over the years

Thanks to the Twitter @gay-salt-amber showed me, he had piercings and tattoos he hid for the sake of being a father and student, biggest tattoo is on the back of his thigh that was made in honor of one of the solders in his old Army who died

Nonbinary gremline

Sung with the ukulele during a beach campfire

He feels like he gets Stitch the most out of the whole cast

Vows to hopefully bring Silver and everyone else there

Lowkey wants more kids

Literally almost cried when leaving

I always think the Octa-Trio get some traces of their merform, so the Leech twins has a teal-greenish undertone under their skin when that becomes visible when exposed to water and if you look closely their toes get webby kind of

LOTS OF FRECKLES

Has a tongue piercing he sometimes takes out

Had the most fun being in his dream element, especially when Azul and Riddle there!

So I know I didn't edit their cards cause they honestly didn't strike editing art on them but I'll add Jack and Azul!

Really enjoyed the sudden change of pace and weather

Didn't like the beach life at first cause the salt water was knotting his furr and the sand did not help the idea, but he quickly grew adapting the idea of it and even enjoyed the knots and combing them out

After this he set up a vacation to the beach with his siblings

Fell in love with the scent of the beach

Was super self conscious about taking his shirt and being in the water and wouldn't have done either if it weren't for Floyd threatening to throw him into the ocean and Grim's teasing

Calmed down after a while and relaxed enough to just enjoy everything

Let his merform out during the night when it's too dark to see when Floyd joined in, did the same, and Riddle joined it but wasn't scared which amazed and calmed him more

Got inspired for profit but just inspired in general as he spend those days enjoying everything all together, swimming in the water, eating food, running and rolling in the sand

He also has freckles but they're small and light

Because of his bright mood after he was extra nice which freaked people out

He surprised the Leech twins with a dish of their favorite foods but didn't tell them how he managed to cook that stuff being he's, well, a octopus merman

Doesn't believe in gender but doesn't want to think about his own

Lowkey wants kids now

They all got closer after the whole thing

They all shared things of their pasts, with choices of being vague to some parts and areas for obvious reasons on Azul's and Lilia's part

As soon as Yuu mentioned a store that sold Stitch plushes, they got one right away

Lots of lowkey romantic tensions for whoever you want to say, Riddle x Floyd, your favorite ship, any of the cast with Yuu/You

They visit the Mostro Lounge every time they have free time or after a dorm head meeting, bring along people from their dorms as well

And in tradition of every Twst event so far, there's a playlist I made
