The Drakes get into some financial trouble. They’re not sure how, but their supply chains have been scooped up left and right. Their stocks have been very volatile. They’d suspect a hostile takeover attempt, except there hasn’t been any actual attempt. It’s strange.

Luckily, they get offered a great investment opportunity. Low risk, high rewards. It’s almost too good to be true. But the problem is they’re not very liquid at the moment and can’t really raise the funds.

So they decide to sell Timothy.

There’s no point in having an heir if there’s nothing to inherit. (he wasn’t that great of an heir anyway. It’d be better to increase their net worth and try again with hopefully a less needy child)

Luckily, Bruce Wayne has just started looking for a nice gift for Jason, and Timmy would suit him nicely. And Bruce Wayne is willing to pay higher than they’d thought they’d get for him!

At first, Tim is relieved when he hears who’s going to own him. Bruce Wayne famously bought Jason from Willis, only to turn around and adopt him instead. But then it turns out that Bruce has enough sons, and he really is a gift for Jason.

And then Tim finds himself owned. A possession. Just as much rights as a toy. Hell, he is a toy, just one that needs to be fed and watered.

It could be worse, he tells himself. His parents were also going to offer him to Sionis. And Jason isn’t cruel like him.

Turns out he is a bit of a bully though, and very demanding. Especially with all his teenage needs. Jason is insatiable.

But unlike Tim’s parents, he doesn’t mind teaching Tim new things. Like, Tim is a LOT more flexible than he was before. And he’s still learning to improve his gag reflex. Luckily Jason doesn’t mind when Tim struggles to swallow him down. He just takes what he needs, so even if Tim can’t get it quite right, Jason’s not mad. As long as Timmy tries.

And he does try! Tim has never liked doing anything but his best. So he quickly learns how Jason likes to be woken up-with Timmy bouncing on his lap or swallowing him down. He learns to always stay warm and wet for Jason. To hold Jason’s come inside as long as Jason wants.

Tim’s favorite days are when Jason brings him to school and he can listen in on the lessons from under the desk between Jason’s feet, head buried in Jason’s la, keeping him warm. It’s where Tim belongs now.

Tim only wears enough clothes to satisfy Jason’s possessiveness, and never when he’s in Jason’s room-unless Jason is in the mood to rip them off. It seems like a lot of the DP/DC crossovers I’ve seen have Danny either secretly related to Bruce or Damian or Dick, and if he’s not directly related to one of them, Bats is at the ready with adoption papers. But if it’s a fic where anyone is related, it’s one of the bats related to Danny, but I think there’s a better candidate. May I present for the Phandom’s consideration:

Sam Manson.

Hear me out!

Bruce and Sam have a lot in common. They both

Have black hair

Have eyes in the same color family (Bruce and Sam’s parents are blue, Sam’s are purple)

Are both goth

Come from inherited, generational wealth

Are Jewish

Are intelligent and athletic

Will aggressively fight for causes and the change they want to see

And of course, they both fight superpowered entities that should be beyond their capabilities to handle as normal humans.

The timing also works out for Martha and Ida to be sisters. Out of ease, the kids use the titles of Aunt and Uncle for Bruce, Pamela and Jeremy even though they’re actually cousins. They don’t really see each other that often, mostly for holidays and big events like graduations or Sam’s bat mitzvah. Every so often, they all get together for more formal galas and charity events.

Plus, it makes it so much funnier if these are the “cousins” Sam refuses to babysit. Can you blame her? Would you want to be in charge of keeping Tim and Damian from killing each other? Plus, the interactions between them and the way they relate would be great!

Bruce (43), Dick (26), Jason (21), Cass (19), Steph and Tim (18), Duke (15-16?), Damian (10), Sam (14)

Dick: Is the perky ball of sunshine Pamela wishes Sam could be, and she get compared to him a lot. Sam can’t stand him. Dick has never seen Sam when her mother isn’t around, so his impression of her is she’s moody and surly. Doesn’t like being in the middle of their fights or getting his cheeks pinched by Pam every time he comes over.

Jason: Pamela can’t stand him. Due to whatever cover story they made up to cover up Jason’s death and return, Pamela is now convinced that he’s some delinquent who’ll wind up a criminal (she’s not entirely wrong?). Such a shame since he was so sweet as a kid. His death is what started Sam’s interest in the occult. Sam’s favorite cousin. She loves that he’s actually a giant dork and bookworm behind the cool, tough-guy façade. He keeps Sam well supplied in combat boots. If they both disappear at a function in Amity Park, they’re probably hanging out at the Skulk n Lurk.

Tim: Another problem child according to Pam. He’s the one who introduced Sam to videogames and Doomed. Tim changed the Manson’s home theater set-up so they can play videogames on the big screen whenever the Wayne’s come over. Will go out of his way to piss Pamela off.

Steph and Cass: Steph doesn’t always come over when the rest of the Wayne’s do, but when she does, she sticks to Cass. Big sister vibes from them both, scarily insightful, and good listeners. They’re cool.

Damian: They have the most shared interests, so you’d think they’d get along, but neither can stand the others’ attitude. It’s a case of like repelling like. Sam helped him figure out what kind of vegetarian he wanted to be and gave him a bunch of her favorite recipes. If the two of them disappear while at Wayne Manor, you can usually find them hanging out with Batcow.

Duke: The newest addition to the family, Sam is aware of him, but they haven’t met yet.

Chapter 10

Hi! Its been a while! But I'm about to take a break from school so I'm finally allowed enough time for hobbies :) I hope you enjoy!

J'onn had not drawn from his experience as a school teacher in quite a while so when approaching this meeting he felt some semblance of reminiscence and slight rustiness.

"Have been informed that you are in need of guidance on your phasing abilities."

Danny was far too engrossed in tinkering with whatever gadgets he had found around the bat cave to really be insulted.

"Its not my fault you don't understand my weathered, ancient advice."

"Not if you're a genius like me!"

"You still haven't caught on that Alfred leaves old tech around the cave for you to find!"

"I-"

"..."

J'onn's face remained neutral as they bickered but those who truly knew him would be able to catch the slight tinge of amusement in his voice.

"May I resume?"

Jason straightened his posture at the question and turned his attention to Martian Manhunter.

"From what I have been able to observe your intangibility occurs involuntarily at random intervals throughout the day." J'onn began.

Jason cringed at the apt description before catching himself as he nearly phased through his seat.

"My intangibility differs because it is a voluntary process. My practice was initiation of the ability and subsequent control. Yours will be on cessation and then control."

Jason nodded along with this lesson.

"Sometimes involuntary use of powers has a subconscious aspect to them. If one truly believes in their own abilities it can become second nature to use them."

Jason's receptiveness receded a bit. Subconscious aspects?

"I know that there is a certain discomfort surrounding allowing another to peer into your mind in earthen cultures but it may be helpful to be able find the reason why you are struggling with control over your intangibility."

Jason did not like this idea. Introspection is already uncomfortable enough he did not want someone else to witness it. Jason was at his wits end though, and he couldn't stand this lack of control much longer. He was tired.

"Okay."

"Thank you for trusting me. I will try to remain as close to your surface thoughts as possible."

J'onn began to approach.

"Wait."

Jason looked into the eyes of the hero.

"Please don't tell anyone what you find."

J'onn nodded.

Jason gripped J'onn's wrist hard enough that his fingertips left pastel green imprints in his skin.

"Please don't tell Batman what you find."

J'onn paused and then assured him.

"Your thoughts will remain confidential I promise."

Jason truly did not like vulnerability. It very rarely ended well for him. But his life has changed so much in the past few weeks that maybe that streak of luck might have changed too? Maybe.

Jason let go.

So perhaps Dick had inherited some of his adoptive father's intense vigilance. Was there really a problem with that? He was better than his father. He communicated with others and allowed his teammates to participate in planning. He clued people in. His contingency plans were known of by his teammates so there was no drama, no betrayal. He learned from Bruce's mistakes. So when he saw a considerable increase in temperature in the cave he did so not because he was secretly monitoring the lesson out of worry but out of routine. He sprinted, very calmly mind you, to the nearest cave entrance. What he found was outside his expectations and expertise.

A Martian writhing on the floor in immense pain.

A Ghost boy looking rather sallow as he attempted to keep the room cool with his ice powers.

And his brother lying on one of the examination tables whilst ON FIRE!

FIRE?

FIRE!

At some point Dick heard a plea for help from the only conscious person in the room.

"I can't keep this up for much longer! I also can't wake up Mr. J'onzz!"

Dick's communications skills may have taken a significant blow but he was able to communicate everything that came to mind.

Legally Jason and Dick are related. They were both adopted by Bruce Wayne. Under laws concerning incest any romantic or sexual relationship between them is considered incest. This applies to anyone who is legally a child of Bruce Wayne. How are you 23 years old and you don't know how adoption works? You don't get to completely disrespect the concept just because you wanna fantasize about two brothers fucking. Dying doesn't erase someone's adoption. Just because you wanna ship it doesn't mean you can just erase the moral implications of enjoying incest to make yourself feel better. Jaydick deserves the hatred it gets. All incestuous ships do.

Well, the main problem with incest is that if close family members have a child, it will inherit not variable pack of genes. Which limits the child’s chance of survival and might be a cause of genetic dysfunctions.

But that does not apply to Jaydick really, even if legally they are related. So what is the real harm in shipping it?

Why would you shame people for shipping fictional characters anyways? How does it hurt anyone? Or do you think we go around and encourage incest? Most people don’t even mention that they ship anything away of Tumblr.

There are so many ships that are worse that Jaydick in many ways. Will you just shame everyone for their weird choice of ships?

Why hate? You can just block Jaydick tag on Tumlr and you won’t see it… As I am saying, people who ship Jaydick do not go around and support incest, nor do they ship Jaydick for the incest factor… they majority just head cannon them as the people with the same mentor, not brothers.

Which of the Bat Children would be best to marry finincally

I would like to start this post with a word of warning. I am an economics major and thus I get REALLY into the economic state of fictional worlds. Just ask my Intermediate Economics professor from this semester after she got a paper on 'The Macroeconomic Development and State of Detroit: Become Human'. I also ran out of writing steam by the end of this but trust me the logic is still there.

I'll go in age order

Dick Grayson

Okay a key thing when building financial wealth is diversification of your portfolio. While Dick has a lot of diverse skills, majority of his shares in the stock market come down to one company 'Wayne Enterprises'. As he gets both his inheritance and received Alfred's shares. Should this company fail, he would be forced to sell his shares in the company and he would be left with only his day job's income. While this is nothing to snuff at, we are comparing billionaires and millionaires here.

Another important thing to note is his property ownership. While this list could be changed by who exactly inherits the Wayne and Arkham property deeds, until then Dick Grayson does not own the home that he lives in.

One thing on his plus side is his interest in a political career. Which can be used to gain money. However, from what we know about Dick Grayson, he would not be corrupt enough to skeeve money from his own campaign. This is a tried and true way of gaining money quickly. It is also the best way to gain money while inflation is high, thus one doesn't have to borrow money from the Federal Government.

Jason Todd

I love you Jason. But you are probably the worst on this list. He did have money coming from the Al-Ghuls. But now he is cut off from that.

He also has one major problem: he's legally dead. This can go two ways.

He is still legally dead. Which means he has no id, no social security, no proof of residence. He could inherit some money from Bruce. But once again if he is legally dead in America, he can't put that money in a bank.

He is declared legally alive. He can open a bank account. He can inherit from Wayne enterprises and he can own property. As he is the first adopted child he could be ruled by the courts to inherit Bruce's land deeds.

Now, let's continue with the legally alive track. He cannot take any of the money from any articles or documentaries made about him while he was pronounced legally dead. I asked my family lawyer about it when I was a kid. So all of his money would come from him getting jobs and maybe Bruce.

Cassandra Cain

Now Cas was really hard to research into. If there is one more thing to hate about the League of Shadows, it's that I can't access their financial records. Seriously, just make me their accountant. Anyway, She does get some of the Wayne inheritance. Again, this does come down to getting the deeds and the land.

Now I am angry at the League of Shadows because does she get an inheritance? Does Damian? Does Jason? Does Tim? Seriously what is the payment method of the league of shadows.

Lady Shiva is dead (?). And you know was obsessed with killing her. So I don't think she's in that will. She is besties with Barbara Gordon which might also float her some cash but it's not enough to compare.

Tim Drake

Okay so Tim, I would argue would be the best to marry financially. He has money from Wayne enterprises, a job at Wayne Enterprises, money from the Drakes. We know that he has at least owns the deed from the land for Drake Manor.

Tim has experience in the work force in Wayne Enterprises. This would be great on a resume and allow him the flexibility to change to a different company if need be. In higher level business positions, a good resume and better name is more experience than a high school degree.

Thus Tim Drake has the diverse financially profile that we had discussed earlier. The one down side with the Drake money is that a lot of it comes internationally. This doesn't make as much money domestically when inflation is up.

Damian Wayne

Finally, the boy.

Let's just consider his financials. He will, presumably, get the deeds for the land from the Wayne and the Arkhams. As the court usually goes by blood lines. He would most likely get some shares from Wayne Enterprises.

Once again the Al-Ghul's are making my job hard. I have no clue if he would get any money. Presumably his mother would leave him some so that is the best.

If all of these are true that would make Damian the best to marry financially, along with his high school degree from a prestigious private school.

But for constancy I would choose Tim Drake for the best financial option. He has the potential to shift job. He has more than one stake in companies. He already owns land.

But a close second is Damian, who could possibly be first if all works out.

Dick liked when Tim had nightmares at night he would tuck in to his room with the plush toy they got after he was adopted in his hand

A tiny body, slightly flushed around his blue eyes, wiping his nose on the sleeves of his sweater, would enter by lowering the handle of the door and put his head towards the point where Dick's chest was

Usually, before approaching the room, the squeak of his slippers would be heard in the old mansion, and this would be a harbinger for Dick that his little baby was approaching him. Sometimes he would open his eyes, which had just begun to fall asleep, to the boy who was trying to get up with his little fingers moved on his chest, to this image that made his heart feel warm

Either way, Dick would take a stroll through the silky hair, while his lips would drop little kisses on every spot he found. Tim gradually began to calm down with the feeling of security provided by his touch, and after a while Dick would let out a slight giggle at the trail of saliva flowing down on his T-shirt because of him

A few months after the adoption of his little baby, he began to call him dad, causing him to become overwhelmed with excessive love. Tim was so innocent, and him giving Dick the strength to take care of him with this way of calling was like completing a missing part in his soul

Everything felt so right, and Dick would watch Robin's back when they were on patrol at night, and when he was injured, he would dress his little baby's sore spots, hold him in his arms and show his love with soft touches on his back

He also knew that Tim especially enjoyed Dick's treating him like the child he already was, his biological parents had deprived him of this right, so sometimes Dick could see him as younger than the age he was

This could sometimes lead to babyish movements that started with a slight blurring of Tim's eyes, which Dick was definitely not bothered about helping his increasingly defenseless little one

They continued to live in this order a few years, however, as always, at one of the moments when he felt that everything was falling into place in his life, everything got mixed up

Joker, who has not been able to get out of his cell where he has been locked up in Arkham since Bruce's death, Dick had made certain expenses from the Wayne inheritance that he now has to make this situation permanent, he escaped by taking advantage of a problem that occurred during the security exchange

Since Dick received the news, he has been doing laps around his room at the manor, sometimes taking slightly wavy tufts of his hair on his hands out of anger and pulling hard

He couldn't bear to go through the same thing. He could not allow one of the family paintings that colored the pale walls to be painted with a blood-colored crimson again

He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. He should have spoken to Tim and stated that he would not be on patrol while these events were happening

There shouldn't have been a flight he didn't know about, like with Jason. Dick should have had the opportunity to install the safety net

He put his decision into practice. A few days before Tim's twelveth birthday, and nearly two years after adding his own surname to him, Dick put the still small body on his knees and told the story of the first Batman and Robin after himself, whom Tim did not remember

And he wanted only one thing after that conversation, Tim would stay safe while the Joker set the streets of Gotham on fire once again

During the first three days, that promise worked really good. When Dick returned to the cave, Tim had a first aid kit in his hand and a smile that he knew would comfort him, even though he was so nervous, he tried to dress his wounds and sometimes gave directions over the coms

As time progressed, his distress was increasing and his desire not to stand still was surging, but he was still doing everything in his power to keep his word

But right now he grabbed his oldest friend by the collar and moved her wheelchair, hitting the wall, forcing himself to open his lips, wanting to vomit poison, even though his eyes were full of tears

How would she did this to him, Dick stated that he would only cooperate with the police or the other heroes if necessary to catch the Joker, and said very precisely that Robin would not be in the field

That was a fact, Tim liked to disobey Batman's orders like every Robin before him did at least for once. Especially if he believed that the outcome would be better in his all-thinking brain, sometimes he wouldn't even feel the need to warn Dick

But Batman wasn't the one who banned Robin from the field. Dick Grayson-Wayne had asked his adopted son Timothy Grayson-Wayne to stay at home and be safe

Tim was not a boy who rejected what his father said. Sometimes he even understood what he wanted from the body movements without even waiting for the young man to say anything and tried to help with everything he could

Tim would listen to the words, while Robin would dive into danger

Barbara decided on her own and woke up Robin, who Dick had put to sleep before leaving for that case, and sent him into the middle of danger saying Dick needed help

And now his little baby was dead

Just like what happened to Bruce and, in a sense, Jason, a single psychopath took away his entire family, and now he was trying to spread his celebratory music around the city

He let go of the hand on Barbara's collar he had placed and started walking towards the exit without a word

He ignored the shouts coming from behind telling him not to be like him and the red-haired woman asking for help, possibly by calling the police

It was too late for everything...

If the Joker wanted to laugh so much, he would draw a new smile on his body for the sake of the years they spent together

He broke all the traffic rules whether he knew it or not, squeezing the steering wheel of the Batmobile until the knuckles in his hands turned white and driving towards the cathedral building where he knew the Joker was found

If he didn't manage to arrive before the police, it would be very difficult for him to take revenge, so he had to be fast

For a moment, even though he heard Bruce's voice in his head telling him that killing wouldn't do anything, he kept stepping on the gas. He fulfilled his wish for his death and was never became the reason why the psychopathic clown took his last breath

The point to which these words brought him had resulted in another desire for revenge...

He angrily closed the door of the car he got out of with a firmness that caused the windows to shake, and took a deep breath outward over the empty street view

Then he started walking with fast steps, not caring about one of the Joker's employees who invited him in

For a moment, he wanted to think that Tim had left his life between his fingers, at least without suffering and tears, with a death that he had not expected Dick's help for in the previous hours

But now when he saw the body holding Robin's torn costume in his hands with the cut smile under the eyes covered by the green hair, he clenched his fist without uttering a single warning sound and passed it to the face that continued to grin

The booming sound of each fist made Dick laugh. The body that started to fight for his life after a while under was bringing a question to his mind 'Was it really so easy?'

If it was something he could have done before, why had he lost so many people?

He started to put his fists harder. No, he was refusing to have an easy death for him. He would physically reflect every single one of the pain he had caused himself to him

Although after a while he felt that he began to completely lose the perception of time, he refused to stop and continued his process until he was distracted by thin fingers touching his arm and then his ears started hearing again

'Dad, dad, please stop now...'

His baby boy, who was wearing nothing but a singlet and a mask, was holding the end of his upper clothing and sobbing, trying to stop the tears flowing from his blue eyes

His body was shaking and he was looking at Dick as if he was afraid of him

With quick movements, Dick threw the pieces washed with Joker's blood over and lowered the cowl from his face, knelt down, then began to wait for his tiny baby to arrive to him with open arms

Seeing this scene again, which they did in the first days after the adoption, will have ignited something in his emotions, because Tim quickly curled up to his chest and squeezed his T-shirt, starting to cry

Dick muttered something to calm him down, dropped little kisses on the places where he could touch without disturbing him and tried to prevent his own fast-beating heart and the curling of his lips

He knew that just a one-time acceptance was not the solution to everything. Tim was probably afraid that Dick would return to being someone like his biological parents because he killed, but they would find a way to deal with it somehow too

Because now there was nothing left to make him afraid of losing...

And if it would happen, Dick will do everything necessary so that him and his baby can be together forever

Actually a Warlord AU Gotham would constantly be in a succession crisis. It would be annoying as hell to keep up with the news as a peasant there. Okay cool Bruce Wayne is their rich and unbeatable warrior king, great, that’s that, they probably expected him to get married fast but then instead he keeps courting different nobles and never making anything stick, except for the world’s briefest marriage to Talia that nearly ended in war between their kingdoms

So oh no, the king is unmarriageable, there will be no heir and war is inevitable, except then he adopts Dick! Great, everyone rejoices, Dick will be a great king. Then Dick grows up and refuses to inherit Gotham and become its next warlord and he runs off to Blüdhaven to rule there instead, he would have to marry some random noble to avoid getting dragged back because now he’s officially the king of somewhere else. Back to square zero

Then Bruce adopts a street urchin named Jason and okay this is good, this is manageable, Jason is actually excited to rule Gotham one day, it’s in his blood and he loves it here, he really connects with the people, crisis averted. Then he dies.

The people have a brief moment of hope when Selina agrees to marry their unmarriageable king but then he gets left at the altar :(

Tim ends up as the Dark Knight’s squire at this point, the warlord’s second like how both princes were, but he is unfortunately unadoptable due to having parents, unless something suspicious should happen to Jack Drake, which people keep reminding Bruce of and he wishes they would stop. Fortunately around this time Cass is sent to assassinate the warrior king of Gotham and haha! Bruce simply adopted her instead. Now this random assassin is next in line for the throne

This is when suspicious circumstances befell Jack and Janet Drake and now Tim finally gets adopted for real and is second in line for the throne, Gotham actually has some semblance of royal security at this point for the first time since Bruce took over. And crucially, this is when Jason returns from the dead as a vengeful lich king with an attempted coup de grace

Right then is when Talia drops Damian off and declares him the only rightful true heir of both her and Bruce’s kingdoms, so therefore they have to be united under one rule (Ra’s rule, conveniently). This way the people of Gotham can now have the exact opposite problem of too many heirs all claiming to be first in line

Anyway war breaks out

And then enter Duke

Ranking The Flash's Kids

Jimmy Garrick: 10/10

Buckle in folks, this one is sad. Little Jimmy Garrick was adopted by Joan and Jay Garrick shortly after World War Two. Jimmy was only four months old when he came into their lives and less than two weeks later Jimmy died of pneumonia. Although Joan and Jay had always wanted to be parents, the heartbreak was too much to bear and they never attempted to adopt again.

Jimmy gets a 10/10 for me because even though he was only in their lives for a short time, he meant the world to Joan and Jay.

Dawn and Don Allen: 5/10

The Tornado Twins are sharing a ranking because I have 12 kids here and Tumblr only allows ten photos. They got the same ranking anyway so it works. Dawn and Don Allen are Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen's biological children. Born in the future (after Barry and Iris time travelled there to retire) they grew up without their father as Barry had died saving the world. Both were born with superspeed and they became the heroes 'The Tornado Twins'. Don is the father of Bart Allen aka Impulse (and technically the genetic father of Thaddeus Thawne aka Inertia) and Dawn is the mother of Jenni Ognats aka XS. Both twins died saving the world from an alien invasion.

They both get a 5/10 because while they are very nice and their kids are awesome, ultimately, they don't really do much. On one hand, I get it, they're dead. But on the other hand? Dead speedsters show up all the time, so not really an excuse. The twins are great but DC needs to use them more.

Nora Allen: 3/10

Nora Allen is the daughter of Barry Allen and Jessica Cruz (aka Green Lantern). Nora is from an alternate universe where Jessica and Barry got married instead of Iris and Barry. Nora inherited Barry's speed and uses it to fight in her apocalyptic version of earth. She is the oldest of Barry and Jess' children and is dating Wonder Woman's son.

Nora is getting a 3/10. The Barry and Jess thing is just too weird. I'm not a fan of the age gap between Barry and Jess and I'm certainly not a fan of Barry marrying anyone but Iris. Nora seems nice enough but her design is just meh.

Jason and Jenny Allen: 4/10

From the same universe as Nora Allen, Jason Allen is the middle child and older twin to Jenny Allen. Jason (presumably named after Jason 'Jay' Garrick) was not born with superspeed but rather the full range of Lantern Light. Jenny also has 'Lantern Light' powers, like her twin, and they both seem to have problems controlling it. Barry and Jess are dead in this universe which had effected all of the kids but Jenny seemed to take it the hardest.

Jason is getting a higher ranking than Nora (4/10) only because his design and powers are a little bit more creative. He wasn't just a copy'n'paste of his parents which I like. He's still getting a lower rank, however, for the reasons I listed for Nora.

Like her twin brother, Jenny is getting a 4/10 and for all the same reasons. The design is a little bit more creative and the powers are neat. Nothing more to say really.

Joshua Jackam: 10/10

Are we counting Joshua Jackam as Wally West's kid or Barry Allen's kid? Josh is a tricky case but I wanted to add him because he's so cute. Warning, this one is sad as well. Joshua Jackam was believed to be Wally West's son with his ex girlfriend, Julie Jackam. Josh displayed lightning powers incredibly similar to Wally's speedforce lightning. It was later revealed that Josh was actually Weather Wizard's biological child. After Julie's death, Josh was adopted by none other than Iris West, Barry Allen's wife. Josh was ultimately killed not long after by Thaddeus Thawne. Now I'm counting Josh because Iris adopted him and even though Barry wasn't alive to meet him, this makes him Barry's adopted son in spirit to me.

Josh is getting a 10/10 because this little spark plug is an absolute cutie. There was a while where Iris couldn't show up in anything without Josh in her arms and I think it's adorable that the two of them were that close.

Iris 'Irey' West II: 10/10

Iris 'Irey' West the Second is the daughter of Wally West and Linda Park. Irey was born with a strange connection to the speedforce which caused her to rapidly age and made her powers manifest as intangibility rather than superspeed at first. After she fixes her speedforce connection (by taking her brother's half of it) she develops full blown superspeed and takes on the mantle of Impulse.

Irey gets a 10/10. She's smart, she's cute, she's sweet and she's fast, what more could you ask for? Sure she's a little impulsive at times but hey, what can you do? She has to live up to Bart's legacy.

Jai West: 9/10

Jai West is the twin brother to Irey West and the son of Wally and Linda. He shared a speedforce connection with his sister which caused them both to rapidly age and caused his powers to manifest as temporary super strength (he speed up the growth of his muscles). After his sister took his half of the speedforce he lost his powers completely. Although lately it's 50/50 if Jai shows up without powers or with full blown superspeed. Although he's been trained to fight, he has yet to pick an identity.

Jai is getting a 9/10. I love him as much as I love his sister but he does get a point demerit for his attitude. Saying mean things to his sister and suggesting that his father should rob a bank will unfortunately lower him to a 9/10.

Iris West II: 7/10

Iris West II, aka Kid Flash, is technically a different person than the Iris 'Irey' West II that we already ranked. This Iris is the alternate universe half sister to Irey. Although they look similar, Iris actually has a different mother because Wally didn't marry Linda in this universe. They just share the same name because Wally likes the name Iris in every universe. Iris grew up without a mother and a distant father. She was constantly trying to prove herself to her father. She wanted to show him that she could be a hero and that she would be his legacy.

Iris gets a 7/10. She's cool, her outfit rocks and she's constantly trying to help people, whether it's through volunteer work or through heroics. She gets some points off for her impulsivity. It'd be acceptable and fine if she were a child still (or even just Impulse) but as a teenager (and Kid Flash), it's not a great quality. Also she's a little bit hot headed, which she definitely gets from her father.

Barry West: 0/10

Barry West is the older brother to Iris West and is Wally West's son from an alternate universe. His mother is not Linda Park and is instead an unnamed woman that Wally married. Barry never became a hero or did anything with his life. He drinks, smokes and belittles his sister and father. He hates the Flash legacy and wants nothing to do with it. He even steals food from a charity.

0/10. Barry is the worst kid. Absolutely zero redeeming qualities. He acts like Rudy.

Johnny Tyler: 2/10

Johnny Tyler is the son of Jesse Chambers aka Jesse Quick and Rick Tyler, aka Hourman. Jesse was formerly the Flash so Johnny fits on this list. Johnny was named after his grandfather Johnny Chambers, aka Johnny Quick. Three of Johnny's grandparents were in the JSA (Johnny Quick, Liberty Belle and the original Hourman) and both of his parents are current members. So far it is unknown what powers Johnny has inherited, if any, as he is still an infant.

Last but not least (that honor goes to Barry West) is Johnny Tyler at a score of 2/10. Why is he so low? Because we've only seen him maybe twice. Where did he go? Does he even exist anymore? I don't think I've seen his parents mention him even once since Flashpoint.

May I introduce the Tumblr DC community to one of my two favorite Batfam AUs I have created. Bruce Wayne owns a hotel/museum near an ocean cliff and still has a chronic adoption problem but doesn’t fight crime. (If anyone writes this you can make it to where heroes still exist, the Batfam are the inly no capes)

WE still exists but it isn’t run by Bruce it is run by Lucius because back in the 60s Thomas and Martha bought the hotel and wanted that to be their legacy. They still die the same way but Bruce puts all his efforts into running and blossoming the hotel which was his parent’s dream project.

I’ll get back into the hotel in a minute I’m taking about the kids now

Dick is gotten a similar way, he visits the Cape with Haly’s Circus, his parents die because of faulty wiring sold to the circus by Zucco and Dick becomes an orphan. Bruce just so happened to use his one night off in a while to go see the circus. He keeps thinking about Dick and ends up adopting him. He helps Dick and the Circus bring Zucco to justice and sues the hell out of him and shuts down his business. (Adopted at 8))

Jason was found living in one of the shut down rooms of the hotel. Because his dad left and was in prison and his mom od. So Bruce treats him like a wild animal and starts to leave food out on a regular schedule until Jason gets comfortable with him and he adopts Jason. (five years younger than Dick)

Tim was the son of two wealthy archaeologists who were gone 11 out of the 12 months. Bruce met Tim because he liked to come into the museum and take pictures of the museum exhibits and hotel architecture and shoreline which he would develop and give copies to Bruce. So he opens his house to this little boy with a penchant for photography. Until one day Tim’e parents call Tim telling him that they are staying in Egypt permanently because the archeological dig is producing wonderous results and they’ll be hiring him an around the clock sitter. Only for Tim to wait three weeks and no one shows up. They went so far as to fire Ms. Mac but never hired a sitter for their son. So he goes to Bruce in tears and explains everything, because this is it-his parents finally did abandon him, and Bruce sues them for custody of Tim. (Three years younger than Jason, adopted at 7)

Damian was the result of a relationship Bruce had in college while studying hotel management and hospitality. Talia is the daughter of a hotel conglomerate owner who is currently trying to buy Bruce’s hotel so it can be torn down and Ra’s can built a new hyper expensive hotel in its place. Damian was sent to live with Bruce to try and get Bruce to have Damian inherit the hotel so Ra’s can get it and destroy it, but that backfired because instead Damian falls in love with the hotel and his new family (reluctantly) and wants to see the hotel and museum flourish, not tear down this historical piece of architecture to replace it with a soulless hotel only available to the wealthy elite. But something available to everyone that families vacation to because there is so much history and beauty in a thing that has stood for centuries. So Damian turns against Ra’s. Due not that while Damian and Tim do have a sibling rivalry it is not as vicious and cutting as it is in canon. They love each other they just don’t mesh well while in the same room. And yes, Damian still has his variety of pets (7 years younger than Tim)

Cass came to the hotel with her “father,” David Cain, who went to the Cape for business, and just ended up leaving and forgetting Cass at the hotel. He was still abusive and Cass had trouble speaking but he wasn’t “turn Cass into the world’s greatest assassin” abusive. After Bruce finds Cass, he sues Cain for parental custody and then ruins his life unrepentantly. (Couple of months older than Jason)

After Martha and Thomas died, Alfred took over managing the hotel while Bruce was still growing up and while he was getting his degrees, now he is the grandfather to Bruce’s many kids and helps to keep them running and cared for while they run and care for the hotel. He’s also the one that helps the new kids transfer into the life of running a hotel.

Barbara is the daughter of the Police Comissioner still who became friends with Dick and works, first part time at the museum/hotel and then full time. Same with Steph and Tim (1 year older than Dick)

Cullen and Harper work at the museum, Helena works at the hotel. Carrie does both. Duke is the newest acquisition. Only, his parents disappeared and no one has been able to find them yet. So Bruce currently had temporary custody of Duke who lives at the hotel with everyone. (Harper is a year older than Tim, Cullen is a year younger than Tim, Carrie is the same age as Jason, Duke is a few months younger than Tim)

Each person has different jobs. (Dick is concierge/check-in, Jason does guided history tours of the hotel/museum/grounds, Tim works in financials because he deals with the least amount of people, Helena, Carrie and Steph are both maids, Carrie also does janitorial stuff with Cullen, Barbara works hotel check-in with Dick, Barbara and Harper work cashier at the gift shop, Duke doesn’t have a job yet because he is still dealing with the disappearance of his parents, Damian does every job to see where he fits in best.

JARRO IS THE FAMILY PET STARFISH THAT TIM ADOPTED WHEN HE FIRST JOINED THE FAMILY AND RESCUED FROM BEING EATEN OFF THE BEACH

The hotel is still fully staffed with not-batkids, like grounds keepers and other hotel cleaners and janitors.

Location time!

I’m turning Gotham nicer and changing the geography of the city.

The hotel Museum rests about 200 yds from a cliff that overlooks a beach. There is a well maintained stair case put into the cliff for people to walk down, as well as a longer gravel path that follows the cliff edge down to the shoreline. It is frequented by seals, sea lions, and in the distance, dolphins and whales. The hotel it’s self has about 100 or so acres of land and a long drive but it is technically within walking distance to the city. And it’s a normal coastal town with a port and touristic areas. Kinda eerie at night when the fog rolls in but that’s part of the charm of the NorthEast.

Selina is just Bruce’s friend in this. She is Helena’s mother and Bruce was a surrogate for her. She decided she wanted a baby and Bruce offered to be a donor. So Selina had Helena and Bruce is part of her life but not as her dad, which was the agreement. Selina takes care of the stray animals on the grounds and favors the cats.

Clark is a reporter that was tasked to right an article on the hotel and it’s history, became good friends with Bruce and brings his family (Lois, Jon, Bizarro, Kon, Kara, Lena, Chris, Ma, Pa, and Lex) on vacation to it every year. Lex and Clark are divorced husbands that left on good terms and are friendly enough to coparent their son, Connor, who was made the same way as canon but less hush hush and illegally, Kara is Clark’s cousin and Lena is her fiancée, Lois is his wife, Jon and Bizarro are their two biological sons (Bizarro has autism), Chris is their foster son. Bizarro latches onto Jason in a way that he hasn’t before and always loves coming to the hotel, Jon and Chris are best friends with Damian, Connor and Tim are long distance dating.

Collin, Maya, and Maps are Damian’s best friends from school (Damian has a crush on Collin) and he’s trying to convince them to join the hotel staff like his siblings’ friends but they are a) too young and b) not interested.

Roy has all of his problems as in canon and gets help for it, so as a way to try and bring the family closer, Oliver and Dinah arrange a vacation to the hotel for them Roy and Lian. As a stepping stone kind of thing. Get away from daily stress. Roy is resistant at first until he and Jason hit it off and start talking and Jason talks sense into him and they strike up a friendship turned romance.

The Flashfam visit the museum diring a countrywide roadtrip and mad the stop because Bart is a history buff and wouldn’t stop talking about it the entire trip. He becomes fast friends with Tim and is the only person to ever get a Tim Wayne history tour. No matter what Kon tells you he is super salty about it. Wally and Dick were internet friends and used the roadtrip as a way to be able to meet up.

Thad is the obligatory complainer who doesn’t want to stay in a musty old hotel.

Ivy is the main grounds keeper and is in charge of the native wildlife sanctuary most of the land is used for, as well as taking care of the native plantlife and lives in town with her girlfriend, Harley. Harley helps the kids prank Bruce.

Harley is a children’s psychiatrist hired by Bruce to help the kids deal with their various traumas. Her coming to the hotel for sessions is how she and Ivy met.

They started dating between Dick and Jason and Dick talks up each of them to the other, but each individual kid that comes in think they’d be cute together (since they are both professional while working there isn’t immediate proof that they are dating. But they will flirt with each other if they see each other) and it’s basically a right if passage to try and convince their siblings to help them get together and then try and set them up on their own and find out the hard way that they’re already together. They love seeing all the different way the kids try and set them up. They tend to go along with it until either the kids realise or they take pity on them.

Their favorite was Damian’s where he set up an entire romantic dinner at the hotel restaurant and Dick managed to slyly convince him to set it on a certain day that turned out to be Harley and Ivy’s anniversary.

Alfred is the head chef for the hotel, making room service meals and the breakfast buffet line up. Jason will help him out if he isn’t busy with other things.

Victor Fries and his wife hold an ice cream social ever summer at the hotel with all the ice cream flavors they came up with over the last year.

Edward Nygma, famous escape room designer, is hired to make an escape room themed on the hotel and museum that is built on the grounds near the main building.

Another ritual that starts, begins with Tim, where the older siblings convince the newest one that the hotel is haunted and Jason takes them on a “haunted ghost tour” of the abandoned part of the hotel (the part that is too dilapidated and run down to remodel safely) while the others are stationed at different parts of the hotel and grounds to run whatever scenario to scare the new kid. The only one that hasn’t been done to is Cass because even after several years she still jumps a little too hard at loud noises. But one time Jason accident closed a door a little too harshly while Cass and Tim were doing something and it caused her to jump so hard she knocked over Tim and started crying. They were contemplating whether she was strong enough to do it or not and that cemented that she wasn’t.

Tim and Cass are nearly inseparable and are commonly referred to as the Wayne Twins. For Halloween they decided to go as each other.

An Idea for the Bio Dad! Bruce Wayne AU

After Hearing about the odd things happening in Paris, the Bats start investigating. They're only source of information is the Ladyblog because apparently the mayor blocked all international news, and made all tourists sign a waiver where they couldn't speak of anything super-hero related when not in Parisian territory. They also find out that they've band all superheroes that were not their own or called in specifically by Ladybug and Chat Noir. They decide to send Damian undercover there, with the excuse of some foreign exchange program, and enroll him in "The Akuma Class" (even though he's younger than them all he's far above their curriculum and has no problem skipping some grades). Almost as soon as he steps through the door, your typical rich brat with a superiority complex and lack of manners, he is adopted by Marinette. She sees this kid whose new to the country, all alone in some fancy apartment, doesn't know how to socialize, and becomes immediately defensive when his family is brought up and immediately decides that she was going to be the parent he obviously never had. She all but kidnaps him from his apartment and sets him up in the guestroom in her house where Tom and Sabine welcome him with open arms and hardly question his appearance in their home. It doesn't take him long when he's attending classes with her AND living with her that he figures out she's Ladybug. After that figuring out the rest of the teams identities are easy. He confronts her and after a very long conversation where he demands to help her and her being ConcernedTM she caves and gives him the Bat Miraculous (Yes I did make up a whole kwami for this shut up). After some introductions and basic training with his miraculous Damian debuts as [Insert Name Here IDK I'll figure it out later]. A few months The Bats have been following the Ladyblog feom the beginning and are all absolutely shocked when they get a notification simply titled 'MommaBug being Proud of Her Baby Bat for 30 Minutes Straight' with Ladybug looking down proudly at a black and dark blue hero they've only seen briefly before now in the thumbnail. Turns out they were right to think that this 'Alya' girl was leaving out some parts of the battles, it hadn't crossed their minds that she could have been saving the footage for something else and especially not this.

A week later test results for a DNA test (that apparently Damian suggested and provided samples for) that no one besides Tim was aware of and it turns out that Ladybug was actually a Ladybat.

Bruce promptly freaks out about another bio kid and starts planning a trip to Paris immediately, Dick is happy crying about a new sibling, Cass is on her way home to welcome the new sibling, Duke practically vibrating from the excitement of having another Meta in the family Alfred is smiling fondly and is happy he followed his instincts when he set up a new room in the manor, Jason wastes no time talking about how "It's Genetic!" (In reference to the adopting of random kids/animals, the Cat themed lover though only Mari inherited that, and the control freak nature) and he's "Glad he skipped out on THAT mess." (Though everyone knows he's joking and how excited he is for a sister), Steph is just happy for another girl, Tim and Babs are more than happy to bring out all the research they'd done of her as soon as Damian said he had suspicions about her identity so they could brag about how cool she is to the rest of the family. Babs is also happy for another girl and Tim is almost scared just how alike she is to him in so many ways.

That's what I got for now, it popped into my head and I couldn't get it out so here you go.

Day 7: joint family vacation | proposal | free day

“Stephanie, I swear to God if you play that stupid song one more time.”

“Shut up, Jason, you didn’t have a good music taste even before your first death.”

“Come on, guys, I’m sure we can find something nice for every-” Duke dodged a hamburger and decided it was better not to get in between.

“Has anyone seen my sunglasses?” asked Conner, his sunglasses obviously over his head.

“No,” answered Tim not even making an attempt at pointing his mistake.

“I’m just saying, it would totally rock if you made a ‘Is Bruce Wayne Batman?’ headline,” Cassandra nodded at Dick’s words.

“You know it would actually be really funny,” Lois smirked, her smile too similar to one of the evildoers they usually fought.

“Not it wouldn’t!” interrupted Barbara visibly angry. “Because then we, instead of him, will have to deal with it later.”

“I stopped dealing with Bruce’s shit a long time ago, you should do the same,” proclaimed Kate taking a sip of his wine.

“This is the fourth time I have to repair a train, Kent,” argued Bruce on the other side of the field. “Is it really too much to ask to show a little restrain?”

“Oh, excuse, mister billionaire, next time a train is about to run over some innocent citizens I will kindly ask the train to stop,” refuted Clark.

“The only thing I’m saying,” not too far Alfred was in the middle of another discussion with Martha and Jon Kent. “that the recipe is obviously done with raisins.”

“Raisins? Maybe in that rainy spot of yours,” Martha seemed to be terribly offended. “But not here.”

Damian sighed for the hundredth time that day watching how the whole family continued creating absolute chaos. If his calculations were right there were just a few minutes left before someone screamed “food fight”. Next to him, Jon munched on a hamburger as if the picture did not bother him at all.

“Let’s have some picnic together, you said,” said Damian. “It would be fun, you said.”

“I think is nice.”

“Your cousin tried to throw Todd over the roof just an hour ago.”

“And I think Steph is about to ask her to do it again,” laughed Jon pointing at were Jason and Steph continued to argue about the music, Duke and Cass now enjoying their exchanged while eating popcorns.

“At least Grayson has stopped with the puns,” he was starting to question why the hell he had accepted Jon’s idea, this was bound to end in disaster.

“Well, actually I think he is telling my mum that story about the Napkin man.”

Jon could not help but smile at his groan. Maybe their families were a bit… chaotic when they met, but he actually enjoyed spending time together like this. As long as he kept a safe distance between him and Jason’s guns there should not be a problem (he still remembered when the Red Hood first discovered he was dating his younger brother, that had been a fun chase). And deep down he knew Damian enjoyed them too, but his boyfriend was too stubborn to admit it.

“I just don’t understand why you insisted so much on this.”

The box in his pocket seemed to get heavier with his words. They have been dating for almost eight years, living together for six of them. While he worked as a journalist in the Daily Planet, Damian had his hands full with inheriting the Batman legacy and leading the new Gotham Justice team along with Duke, although he still made some art exhibitions from time to time. He still went out as Superboy, mostly with Damian, but the defence of Metropolis had gone mainly to Supergirl and Conner, who now called himself Supernova. Their fathers had told them they would soon pass their mantle to them and Jon had decided he wanted to ask the big question before that happened.

“D, mind walking with me for a minute?”

Damian raised an eyebrow confused as to why his boyfriend wanted to walk on the same fields that had seen him grow, but he decided it would be way better than staying there. They walked while holding hands, chatting about their little things until they reached a familiar forest.

“Does it ring a bell?” Jon smiled.

“This is where we first met,” realised Damian. “Well, when I kidnap you after discovering you were a threat to society.”

“Well, you suspicious turned out to be correct, only not to society,” he winked at him. “Only a threat to you.”

“Hmm,” Damian wrapped his hands around his neck. “Maybe I should have let you tied on the examination table of the Batcave.”

“Then, you wouldn’t have this.”

Jon then proceeded to kneel in front of him, taking the box out of his pocket. Damian didn’t say anything but his eyes widened.

“Damian Wayne,” he proclaimed. “I never thought I could hate anyone more than the first time I met you. But with time, you showed me the great person you are. Because many might think of you as brash and arrogant, but I know your actions speak more than your words. I have seen you bleed for your teammates, cry for your brothers and sister and take care of your pets as if they were the most valuable thing on this planet,” he opened the box to show a ring with a green gemstone. “You became my best friend and later the love of my life and I can’t think of a better person to share the rest of my life with so… would you do me the super honour of becoming my husband?”

“Did you have to add the super thing?” but Damian was smiling and he could swear his eyes were shinning. “Of course I do, you sap.”

Jon did not waste any time jumping to capture his lips while putting the ring on his finger. The gem was the same shade in his eyes and the moment Jon saw it he knew he wanted his boyfriend to wear it.

“I’m going to make you the happiest man on Earth,” he whispered between kisses.

“I already am.”

There were still a lot of hardship to face, millions of adventures waiting for them on the corner, but in that instant, in the same forest where they met, both could feel the strength of their bond. A union that could not be broken by time or dangers, a connection that will be with them until the time they expired their last breath. So for the moment, they enjoyed this moment and the pure bliss of knowing they would never be alone as long as the other was next to them.
