Are you in the mcu fandom? Just curious that's it
Heyyyy friend!! Thanks for asking!
Yeah, in a pretty casual way. I really loved catching the films at the cinema at midnight premieres and stuff as soon as they came out, it was a cool and collective experience. Especially Infinity War and Endgame, it felt like such a global experience we all shared. I miss that, I hope we can have that again soon. I’ve been enjoying the D+ shows too, WandaVision had a strong start and TFATWS has... Zemo. I’m not fiercely passionate about it though, I bug my friend to give me all the deep lore I might need.
Tumblr media
This being said you can always come @ me to discuss MCU stuff, friends!! I’ll try and be really smart for you.

100daysofwriting - Day 1
So I thought for the first day I might just briefly outline all of the WIPs I have actually made a start on and that might help me to decide where I want to focus some energy. I have some for Katniss/Peeta in THG fandom and some for Natasha/Clint in the MCU.
Everlark
folklore series - so I started this series of fics inspired by songs from Taylor Swift's album folklore because honestly those songs just immediately bring to mind so many scenarios that made me think of Katniss and Peeta. I made a start on chapters based on peace, my tears ricochet, invisible string, this is me trying, and mad woman. I also have a bit of an outline for continuing the story that was started in 'the 1'.
I've had this one WIP ongoing since about 2015(?) which is a bit of a monster that has grown beyond me but basically it involves Katniss and Gale being raised in the Capitol in relative poverty after their fathers are conscripted into the peacekeepers because of traitorous activity. Mrs Everdeen is still from 12 but was moved to the Captiol to be married (this part is sketchy) and she still had a little childhood romance with Mr Mellark. Peeta gets reaped and Mrs Everdeen reacts to this as he looks like his father. Katniss gets a crush on him as she watches him prepare for the games. She hates herself for it but finds herself checking up on how he is doing even during non-mandatory viewing.
Arranged Marriage - I feel like this is such a cliche for thg fandom, but I just imagined my own way that the pairings happen but I'm so bad at writing slow burn so this will probably never materialise, but if you want a semi-decent thought out pairing/arranged marriage system I would be happy to lend you mine.
Miscarriage fic - I will never post this, but it's in my WIP folder. It's full of nasty feelings that feel a little better when they are written about.
Modern AU Pandemic Quarantine! - ofc, this is essential. Katniss and Peeta end up as the only people not to move home from their dorm for the quarantine. Slow burn that I can't fucking write should ensue.
Canon Pandemic Quarantine AU - pandemic a few years after the end of the war forces Katniss to admit she wants Peeta as more than a friend with whom she hunts, bakes, rebuilds the district. Cue sexy pandemic times and a resentful Haymitch that keeps accidentally breaking the rules.
Divorced but co-parenting Everlark - obviously finding their way back together
Another classic of their children being reaped and dying - I don't know why I write things this depressing. They just tend to come out in one big rush and then I never address them again.
Real weird teen pregnancy modern day AU - don't know where it's going or why...
Modern day AU dead Prim - Peeta and Katniss just met each other through mutual friends and are kind of flirting. Peeta is a bit infatuated. Katniss stops going to mutual friend parties and he finds out it's because her sister died. Instead of staying away he gets tangled up in her grief and does all sorts of practical things while Katniss wallows. Also it's E rated but not that much fun... can't entirely explain where this one came from either...
Single Parent AU where Finnick and Annie play match maker. Probably my fave Everlark in the works but it's another one that has grown so big for the 20 minutes I can dedicate to it each week.
Clintasha
Red Room Take Down - Nat and Clint are retired and living a quiet family life with their child. SHIELD appears asking for Nat's help in taking down the red room and dealing with the fall out, specifically what to do with the girls that they get out. Nat is torn but chooses to go. Chaos ensues with the 'rescued' girls. I need to actually develop some OCs a little if I ever want this to be good but tbh the pending Black Widow movie is kind of holding me back on this one too because I hope we find out more about the red room.
So I have a weird habit of writing from Lila Barton's POV. I can't explain it. I have AoU and like to pretend it never happened but anyway I have a WIP about Lila detailing the collapse of her parents' marriage after Clint retires and he and Laura actually have to spend time together without Natasha. She then goes on to describe the custody settlement and her utter joy that Auntie Nat sleepovers with them at her dad's place. She feels utterly betrayed when she finds out they are getting engaged.
Fluffy AU - Clint and Natasha in an established relationship with a son born between infinity war and endgame. Natasha still sacrifices on Vormir, but Steve gets her back no bother and it's so nice and happy and fluffy and Clint and Natasha are together and they have a son who has both parents back and Steve gets to make all this happen and he is so happy too and they have a barbecue and go swimming in a lake and clint/natasha have private time, and their kid wants to be captain america, and did I mention how HAPPY everyone is?
Another fic similar to the above just about everyone being so HAPPY. Endgame reverses the snap and instead of weird farm family coming back Clint and Natasha get their daughter back and it's just a cute moment about her reappearance and their race back to the spot she disintegrated from. (Steve/Bucky go to Vormir and Steve is sacrificed, but that fucker CHOSE to leave).
This is another one that has just grown bigger than my brain. it's based off the idea that Natasha helped with coordinating fosterings during the blip time. Clint loses his mind when he loses his family and crashes in BedStuy but finds a neighbour girl (Kate Bishop) who is fending for herself in post-apocalyptic Brooklyn. He helps her out and tries to get children's services involved but it has collapsed. Finds out Natasha is the one getting everything in order. He gets in touch. She's at the end of her tether and asks why he can't keep looking after her. In the end he does and she ends up getting involved and all three get overly attached to each other. I haven't got as far as the events of endgame and idk what's going to happen. It might be tragic.
Pregnant Natasha but nobody knows what is wrong with her because they don't even suspect her being pregnant is possible. Just a real vivid description of the early unpleasant pregnancy symptoms.
Another absolute monster - Sort of canon compliant to begin with aside from before the farm family disappear. Clint and Laura are in the middle of separating and tensions are running quite high at the farm. Snap happens. Nat and Clint accidentally run into each other while both a bit low during the blip and get drunk and share home truths. Begin working together from HQ and both get a little less sad. He convinces her she doesn't have to be responsible for the world's fate every moment of every day. Clint has a break down at Morgan's 1st birthday and realises that things will have to change. Nat has this realisation later. They begin sleeping together. Accidental pregnancy. More feelings come out between them. They enter a more conventional relationship and have baby. Baby is really hard work (colic) and they struggle with comparisons and feelings of inadequacy. Pepper helps them to identify the colic and improves everything greatly. Happy times with baby while also running the avengers. Opportunity to reverse snap. Some good scenes between Nat and Tony. A big conversation between Nat and Clint about what it will mean. Steve and Nat end up going to Vormir together. Nat is obviously about to commit suicide. Steve over powers her and gives her a pep talk about the situation she is running away from and how to deal with it. He self-sacrifices. Clint goes back to farm fam and Natasha goes back to BedStuy with baby. Clint has to tell Laura and then the kids about the last 5 years and their new siblings. Nate is super into it. Cooper is a bit aloof and cynical. Lila is confused. Laura is quietly seething. Clint helps put the farm back together about 5 years of neglect and the kids meet baby. Family gets happier. Laura and Nat eventually meet again and it's civil/friendly.
My own version of what happened in Budapest.
The Call - inspired by a post here on tumblr. Nat calls Clint as she bleeds out. Just needs a beta reader and then I would consider publishing.
AoU reimagined but with Clintasha - I'm not sure where this one is going it's like a massive spider web right now with lots of ideas shooting off, but basically it is inspired by this post and just involves a lot of hoodwinking the other avengers.
Accidental Baby Acquisition - Natasha becomes Yelena's child's legal guardian after Yelena gets taken out. Natasha and Yelena are estranged at this point and Natasha things the whole thing is a trap and brings Clint along. He is surprisingly good with the baby so she ropes him in to teach her. The three of them end up bonding.
5 times there's only 1 bed + 1 time they choose to sleep in the same bed.
non-superhero AU Clint and Nat both think they have adopted a stay cat but actually the cat has owners and just likes strokes and eats a lot so has many 'families'. They get into an argument over which of them the cat belongs to only to find out the cat has owners and they are moving away. They decide to adopt a cat between them as both are not hope that much and the shelter refused them as single people. Slow burn ensues, which I am shit at writing.

Top 20 BEST Animated Series of the 2010s-1st Place!
And now.
For real this time.
What is hands down.
The Best.
Animated series.
In the 2010s.
Is…
(Pause for dramatic affect)
#1-Adventure Time (2010-2018)
I mean...what else?
The Plot: The magical land of Ooo has many things: A kingdom made of candy, a sociopathic Ice King, and even a self-proclaimed Vampire Queen. Amongst all this chaos are two adventures: A human boy named Finn, the Human, and his magical dog/best friend/adopted brother (yes, really) named Jake, the Dog. These two then go on adventure after adventure, facing against the many oddities that the Land of Ooo offers. What type of dangers? Well...you’re just going to have to watch the show to find out.
Before I start praising the crap out of this show, there’s one thing I want to get off my chest. You see, I hate Top X lists that always end with “the one that started it all.” It comes across as lazy because there is no way the first story tops every other one after it. Case in point: when looking at the best episodes of your favorite shows, how often do you see the first episode making the top ten, hell, even the top five? Not often, I bet. And sure, you can make the argument that “Without X, there wouldn’t have been Y,” but is that even a fair comparison? Sure, Disney wouldn’t have been as big as it is now without Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs being a success, but does that make it right to ignore great movies like Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), and The Lion King (1994)? Sure, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope is the reason why fans love to hate Star Wars in the first place, but how often do you hear people saying Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the franchise. And sure, the Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn’t have existed without Iron Man being a box office hit, but with movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, can you really say Iron Man is the best in the franchise anymore? To me personally, if you’re going to pick “the one that started it all,” then it better be something that can outshine “it all.” This is why I chose Adventure Time as the best-animated series of the 2010s. Not because it’s a show that practically sparked the existence of almost every show on this list, but because it really is that good of a series. Unfortunately, with a series that really is that good, there will be people who try to pick it apart. This is why I’m going to do my best to defend against some criticism that Adventure Time seems to face.
The first criticism I want to talk about is one that hasn’t even occurred to me until I watched JelloApocalypse's video called, “So This is Basically Adventure Time.” In that video, I realized that Adventure Time doesn’t really have a proper storytelling structure. Hell, most episodes don’t even have a conclusion. They just stop almost randomly. But there’s a remedy to this problem, and it's one that I discovered somewhat effortlessly during my rewatch of the show. And that solution is to stop looking at Adventure Time as a series of episodes and more of a series of experiences. What do I mean by that? Well, while watching, you can either have a good experience or a bad experience. A fun experience, or a depressing experience. A philosophically brilliant experience or a randomly stupid experience. All of which can happen separately or conjoined in every episode. Personally, I like this style of storytelling because I’m more likely to remember the experience of watching something rather than the basics of what is being viewed. However, as JelloApocalypse has proven, not everyone is going to be ok with this style. This is fine, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just remember that if it doesn’t work for you, that doesn’t mean it won't work at all. Case in point: there’s a reason that this show got ten seasons.
However, with those ten seasons come the inevitable seasonal rot. Which, in this case, can easily be explained. Halfway through season five of Adventure Time, series creator Pendelton Ward left and made Adam Muto the head showrunner. And where Ward’s style relied on being random and hilarious, Muto took the series in a more philosophical direction. Several fans were turned away from this aspect, but I like to argue that this isn’t seasonal rot and more of a series’ development. Tons of shows on this list went through their own transitions, some subtle and some drastic. Whether or not you’ll be ok with those decisions is entirely dependent on who you are. And personally, I actually enjoyed the direction that Adventure Time took. While I was entertained by how hilarious the original seasons were in Ward’s run, Muto caused me to think more intensely than any other show I have seen in my life. This is why, once again, I would like to point out that just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean that it won’t work at all.
But one thing that didn’t work for me, and one criticism that I’m inclined to agree with, were how some characters got treated in later seasons. Now to be fair, most of the characters actually become more interesting as the series goes on (Ice King, Marceline, BMO, Susan Strong, etc.) There are just two characters that got a little iffier compared to others: Finn and Princess Bubblegum. The main reason why Finn’s character seemed to fail is that the writers focused more on Finn's love life (or lack thereof). I genuinely believe that Adventure Time has some fantastic romantic relationships, but that aspect of Finn’s character is easily the most uninteresting. It’s even worse when an episode focuses on his armorous hangups through past...mistakes. I even heard that this decision ruined Finn as a character for some people, which I can totally see why. Luckily the show course-corrected itself, and by season six, it started focussing on an aspect of Finn’s character that is actually interesting: His family. Not to give away any spoilers, but let’s just say that Finn gets significantly more fascinating through this decision. Unfortunately, one decision that never got better was how the show treated the one and only Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum. This character started off as a gentle/playful ruler who was as sweet as her kingdom. Only to evolve into a sociopathic control freak who is obsessed with science. What went wrong is that the show goes so far as to say that she’s always been that way, even since she was a kid. I guess she just was good at hiding it in early seasons. Once again, the writers try their best to course-correct Bubblegum, but all they did was make her bearable than despicable.
But while Bonnie doesn't work for me, do you want to know what does? Literally everything else about this show. One of the reasons why Adventure Time is the best series on this list is because it has elements of every other show that has already been mentioned before it. You see, Adventure Time can have: Hilarious comedy, intense action, superb animation, creative ideas, compelling drama, catchy music, thought-provoking stories, good romantic subplots, gay romantic subplots, great lore and backstory, intriguing mysteries, and, most important of all, bacon pancakes. All of which can be handled in ten to eleven minutes, where most shows struggle within twenty-two.
But one element that stands out among the rest is Adventure Time’s serialized storytelling. You see, there are two different types of storytelling: Plotting and pantsing. Plotting is how it sounds: You come up with ideas beforehand and work your way into making them come to life. Pantsing is where the goal is to basically make things up as you go along and try to make everything connected afterward. The ladder is the route Adventure Time takes. Every single amount of lore, character development, and even surprise twists were thought up almost on the spot. And one might think that this makes things more complicated, but when I rewatched the series in 2019, a solid 99.9% of what’s written lines up. Sure, there are small things that get confusing or downright forgotten. But that’s the keyword: small. It’s the big things that the writers try their best at explaining away, which can be much appreciated. And while I can love a show for creating a well-crafted story, I got to give Adventure Time respect for doing the same thing just by improvising. But do you want to know the real reason why I stuck with this show? And why do all the elements mentioned before manage to work so well? The same reason why any show can work so well: The characters.
And yes, I know I just complained about how certain characters were nearly ruined in this series, but that doesn’t change how good they are. Almost every character that the show focuses on has a level of intrigue to them, and characters that don’t still manage to be incredibly entertaining, to the point where a worm’s butt can carry an episode by itself (Yes. Really). But nothing beats the central duo, and I’m being honest when I say they make the series enjoyable. Finn and Jake not only have such an entertaining brotherly dynamic, but the two of them are just so much fun that I can’t help but smile whenever they’re on screen. They’re easily the best thing about the show, as well as the most entertaining characters in it. This is saying something because Adventure Time has a LOT of characters. One might say too many. In fact, one could argue that Adventure Time suffers from the too-many-characters syndrome, which I can absolutely see. However, every character is so unique and creative that to this day, I still remember the Tree Witch in the episode “To Cut a Woman’s Hair.” From her voice to her design to even Tree Witch's creative and hilarious way to convince Finn to get her some princess's hair.
This brings me to another great thing about the show: Its endless amount of creativity. Everything that Adventure Time does is something you will never see anywhere else. From all the unique ways the show has Jake use his stretchy powers, to also having a vampire drink the color red instead of blood, Adventure Time is always a show that leaves me scratching my head wondering, “Why hasn’t someone else done this before?” And the best part is, no other show can do the ideas that Adventure Time has had. Because there is no way of doing it without coming across as a carbon copy. Which I can appreciate. Believe it or not, I would rather see an idea done once and never again, rather than repeated to the point where it becomes stale. Letting Adventure Time keep its creativity helps the show stand out among the rest and prevents it from being forgotten through time.
Thus, we come to the real reason why Adventure Time is the best-animated series on this list: Memorability. When doing a rewatch of the series, I was surprised by how many episodes I somehow remember. In fact, out of over two hundred episodes, I only manage to forget one (which coincidentally managed to be an episode I hate). I honestly don’t know why so many episodes managed to stick with me. Maybe because the show is so creative that it’s hard to forget. It's probably because the characters are instant icons that their impact just won’t leave me. Hell, perhaps it’s because the show is so gosh dang weird that my brain refuses to forget a second of it. No matter what the reason is, it all still stuck. And I’m not going to lie, I feel as though there are going to be a lot of shows I'll forget over the years. But ten years from now, something tells me I’m never going to forget Adventure Time.
Now that I think about it, there really have been many great cartoons over the previous decade. And we owe it all to Adventure Time. The act of being unique and creative with one’s ideas came from Adventure Time. The idea of being more mature and deciding what should and shouldn’t be for kids came from Adventure Time. The fact that a show needs well-written characters to tell a great story came from Adventure Time. Even certain shows were made because creators worked on Adventure Time (looking at you, Steven Universe). Is the show perfect? No. Far from it, even. But when looking back at the many great series we’ve gotten in the 2010s and the many great shows we’ll get in years to come, I realize that the fun will never end WITH Adventure Time.
(Especially since we’re still getting it with four hour long specials on HBOmax)

 Initiate Phase 4
In the year 2020, Marvel will be undergoing a few needed changes to their slate of films. The first film that will drop is the DLC layer of content needed to fill in the gaps of what was occurring with Natasha Romanov aka Black Widow. When she was on the run from the Sokovia accords at the end of Captain America Civil War. Ushering in a sense of clarity to a point of the marvel timeline that goes unnoticed from the apparent transition of Civil War to Infinity War.
In addition to the Scarlett Johansson getting the kudos she has earned from her tenure of being this iconic character for the past ten years of the MCU: From her first appearance in Iron Man, 2. Juxtaposed to her death in the mega-blockbuster Endgame that was the culmination of everything Marvel intended. However many felt her death in the film was unwarranted. It was also ironic and felt cruel that she didn’t get the same amount of entitlement that Iron Man was bestowed from his reputation of films.
The success of Robert Downey Jr, and being a cog in the machinations that fueled his universal sacrifice; leading to audience reactions towards his departure as being the one who made everything possible. Many would go on record without Iron Man, there would be no MCU. Yes, that is the case, however, many would fall into the symmetrical comic accurate casting later down the line. Johanson was a prime example of this.
Kevin Feige has gone on record with stating that the true mission of phase 4 is to give a deeper sense of spotlight for characters that went unnoticed during the events of Infinity War, and Endgame. Feige also said, “The movie everyone always asks us to develop is a Black Widow film”. The prayers have been heard, and come May 1st, 2020 fans will get their wish. In the form of a deep-dive character study from the direction of Cate Shortland and the team at Marvel; Given the track record of success, this film was already in good hands.
My personal thoughts, at first, I was skeptical of this idea due to the fact Widow is dead. The only way possible that this concept could be greenlit is the reveal of it being a prequel.
The first trailer gave a deeper context of what the film was hiding. It wasn’t a formulaic film that the company usually spits out year after year. It was a blueprint of how to adapt. Black Widow feels exactly like a reskin of Mission Impossible with Romanov taking center stage instead of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hawke.
The supporting cast of team Widow is rounded out by newcomers in the form of Florence Pugh portraying Yelena Belova. In the comics, Belova is the second to don the title of Black Widow. It only seems fitting with the death of one comes another.  In the world of comics Belova is a member of the Thunderbolts.
Another character that finally makes an MCU appearance is the Red Guardian. In all honesty,  I don’t really know too much about David Harbour’s character. In my opinion, he feels like a combination of Fat Thor and Captain America. I truly feel look for Harbour to be the comic relief sprinkled throughout the Marvel flick.
Getting back to the Thunderbolts, and the premise of the Avengers type organization formed by General Thunderbolt Ross. Surprisingly enough member of that team is in this film in the presence of Taskmaster.
Taskmaster is a villain that many don’t know. Only the truest of fans who dive into the abundance of comics and the various forms of cartoons will understand the concept of the mimic ability of Taskmaster.
Something that has been shown off in the film. The second trailer gave immediate praise to this subtle detail. Widow has an encounter with the masked foe, and he can know her entire pattern move by move, and step by step. The combat appearance of Taskmaster is evident; however, the gripe many have with the silver screen debut of the villain is the appearance of costume.
I don’t have a problem with Taskmaster, but some feel he looks like a motocross biker. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Maybe the bigger picture many are missing it could be his prototype or first costume.
Moving on speaking of costumes Johannson has a few various costumes in the new film. For example, finally getting a comic accurate representation of the Black Widow costume from the comics. Also, Black Widow will don an all-white suit that feels very nostalgic of Eva from Metal Gear Solid: 3 Snake Eater pointed out by director Jordan Vought Roberts.
The action is running on all cylinders an element of narrative clearly evident through the screenplay. One gripe is that CGI is a little unworked, and feels out of place. The cycle of the film is still early so give it some time to polish some things.
In closing, Black Widow has a tough job of being a swan song for this character. While also injecting new life in a franchise that is undergoing a massive rebuild. I feel the crew at Marvel Studios will nail the premise of this film like they always do.
Im not worried at all, however on one note for a closing thought; how cool would it be if a post-credit scene attached to the film was a highlight reel or a memorial of sorts.
Marvel is moving away from the infinity saga that spanned 23 movies, and three phases. Now in Phase 4 with a new vision for the future Marvel is on track of success, and is not gonna stop any time soon.

MCU movies ranked by how well-written Loki was
Well, one person did tell me to post them, so here we go. This list ranks the 6 MCU movies Loki appeared in - solely based on how well-written he was. This list disregards how good/bad I thought the movie was otherwise, and also doesn’t factor in how well the story treats the character - it’s based just on how much I agree or disagree with Loki’s characterisation. (In other words if he gets brutally murdered or treated like shit by his family, that doesn’t necessarily mean he himself was ooc.) Also, this is of course just my opinion and very much up for debate :)
This ended up getting kinda long, sorry - I just really like talking about Loki :D
ALSO THIS LIST CONTAINS ENDGAME SPOILERS
6th Place - Thor: Ragnarok
Yeah... Sorry, I know people love this movie, but it really deserves last place on this list. Now, to be fair, I didn’t completely hate how Loki was written here, there definitely were some nice moments (”I’m here”), but overall I felt like the movie played Loki’s trauma for laughs to much, made him the butt of a joke too often and didn’t make him stand up for himself like he did in his previous movies - which is one of the things I liked most about him. I also didn’t like that the movie tried to retcon him into someone who’s been hurting Thor his whole life, or that they made his “redemption” involve forgiving Odin. And even though this movie is praised for its “anti-colonialism” message, it really fails to address that Loki was one of the biggest victims of Asgard’s colonialism and that Odin never really changed his ways after banishing Hela.
And beyond that, I just felt like there was something slightly “off” about how Loki was written here. It was his first time back on the big screen in 5 years, and somehow it just didn’t feel like the same character anymore. Ragnarok was the only movie Loki was in where I went out of the cinema and didn’t feel the need to read tons of fanfic about him. At first I thought it was just because I’d moved on in those 5 years and wasn’t as invested in his character anymore - but then Infinity War happened and (despite killing him off) absolutely nailed Loki’s characterisation and brought my love for him back full force. And that’s when I realized I hadn’t moved on - Ragnarok just hadn’t gotten Loki right.
5th Place - The Avengers
I initially wanted to place this higher, mainly because it’s such an iconic movie (that I really like) and because so many of Loki’s most iconic and well-known lines are from this one. Tom absolutely plays the sassy, charming but vulnerable trickster to perfection here. Then why is is to so low on my list? First of all, because I feel like there was a giant personality shift for Loki between this movie and the first Thor. Loki has previously stated that he never wanted the throne (of Asgard) and now he suddenly tries to conquer earth and we’re not really meant to question it.
Now before you all say it - Yes, I’m aware that Loki was tortured by Thanos between this movie and the last one. And while the movie doesn’t explicitly tell us that, I think between him looking like hell and limping in his first scene and his scene with The Other (”He will make you long for something as sweet as pain”), the implications were clear enough. Plus, there’s the whole revelation that the mind stone influenced his thinking. So yes, I think his personality shift is understandable - BUT I wish the movie itself had made that clearer instead of leaving it to fans to connect the dots and understand why Loki is acting so different now.
And lastly, I don’t like his “mewling q**m” line to Natasha. I think it’s incredibly misogynistic on the writers’ part (ahem... Joss Whedon again), and it’s also incredibly ooc for Loki, who subverts gender roles, is genderfluid himself if we go by the comics, and has always been shown to respect women, especially his mother. So I don’t feel like using gendered insults is something he would do.
4th place - Avengers: Infinity War
Yes, the scene was horrible. Yes, it broke my heart and made me angry at the Russos. No, I don’t have the desire to rewatch it. BUT the one thing I do have to give this movie credit for is absolutely getting Loki’s character right. This was the movie that reawakened my love for Loki after Ragnarok failed to do so. Tom’s acting throughout this scene is brilliant and heart-wrenching and the dialogue features some of my favourite Loki lines. I mean: ”For one thing, I’m not Asgardian - and for another, we have a Hulk.” “The sun will shine on us again.” “You will never be a god.” Loki finally acknowledging himself as “not Asgardian” and “the rightful king of Jotunheim”? Loki repeating “We have a Hulk” - symbolizing that he’s on the same side as the Avengers now? Loki looking his biggest fear in the eye and choosing to sacrifice himself for his brother? GOOD SHIT. That’s some good shit right there!
Even Loki attacking Thanos with a butter knife isn’t necessarily ooc - He didn’t do it because he thought it would work, he was simply out of ideas and decided to distract Thanos and save Thor. He knew he would die. And if you tell me that wasn’t absolutely heroic then I don’t know what is. Though I do agree that the writers (not just of this movie, but of all of them) seem to have forgotten all the powers Loki is supposed to have and I’m also annyoed that they just make him stab people instead. And also, I don’t like that Loki calls himself “Odinson” in this scene. Forgiving Odin shouldn’t be a part of his redemption, bla bla, we’ve been over this. I like to headcanon that that part was more meant for Thor than Odin.
3rd Place - Avengers: Endgame
I know what you’re thinking - Does Loki even have enough screentime in Endgame for it to be on this list? And yeah, good point. It’s hard to be completely ooc when you basically have two minutes of screentime and I did consider leaving it off the list for precisely that reason. But, I mean COME ON. I just had to give a shout-out to how absolutely iconic those two minutes were. Imitating Cap? Sarcastically waving at the Hulk from the elevator? Dramatically rolling his eyes when Thor mentions Odin? Grabbing the tesseract at the first chance and just noping out of that horrible mess of a movie? ICONIC. Two minutes of screentime and he somehow stole the show. When could your fave ever?
2nd Place - Thor 1
This is the movie that made me fall in love with Loki in the first place, so obviously it had to be high on this list. The way he was written (and acted) here was absolutely beautiful, his story is heartwrenching in all the right ways, he makes all the wrong choices but as a viewer you understand why he makes them. He’s presented to us as this outcast who doesn’t quite fit in, who’s always in the shadow of his brother, kind of gets bullied by his brother’s friends, yearns for his father’s love - and who one day has to deal with the realisation that his life was a lie and that his father resents him for something beyond his control. The confrontation between him and Odin in the Vaults is still the best Marvel-scene ever, hands down.
Fun fact: I literally first watched this movie because I wanted to know “who that Loki-guy is and why people love him so much”. I finished watching the movie and was like “Ah. I get it now.”
My only complaint would be that they deleted all the scenes that explained Loki’s motives and made him more sympathetic. To be honest, I sometimes forget that they’re “deleted scenes” because I’ve watched them so often that I just consider them canon.
1st Place - Thor: The Dark World
Honestly, it was close between this one and Thor 1. I love them both, but while I think the first one is a better movie overall, Loki’s portrayal in the second one is probably my favourite. He starts the movie already disillusioned with his family and spends it unafraid of calling them out on their mistreatment of him. This is the movie where Loki won’t be silenced about the injustices he’s suffered, and I love that about him. I also love how he just replies to threats with sarcasm now (”You’ll kill me? Evidently, there will be a line.”).
I also like that his movie gave more depth to his relationship with Frigga, and also showed Loki being heroic: Helping Thor, never betraying him, protecting Jane, sacrificing himself for Thor. In fact, I stick by what I said before: Loki wasn’t a villain in this movie. There isn’t a single evil thing that he did in this film. NOT ONE.
I also love how this movie makes Odin’s hypocrisy more evident than ever (Telling Loki they’re not gods and that he shouldn’t think himself above Midgardians, but telling Thor he shouldn’t date Jane because Midgardians are “goats”... You get the idea). I also like the contrasts painted between Odin and Loki and how they think about Thor’s relationship with a mortal - Odin tells him he shouldn’t date Jane because she’s “beneath” him, Loki tells him he shouldn’t date Jane because she’ll die one day and that’ll break his heart. And that’s just one of the many contrasts between them in this movie.
And THAT ENDING! Thor getting his only bit of good parenting ever and it was actually Loki - Loki still being alive - Loki sitting on that throne. HELL YES.
(I seriously don’t get how people thought that ending meant Loki was evil? Hello?? He just freed Asgard from a totalitarian dictator? Last time I checked that was a good thing? Have some people not gotten the memo that Odin’s evil? This movie in particular was very clear about that.)
My other rankings: Thor | Steve Rogers | Natasha Romanoff

So... a theory about Endgame.
Okay, so, I have a theory that probably ISN’T true. But when I thought of it, it was such a brutal and interesting twist in my head ntm it’s been bouncing around in there for days now that I have to share it with you guys.  Is it a little stevetony influenced? Maybe. Am I probably going to write something like this in the future if it’s not canon? Yeaaaaah. But here goes...
Steve is the man out of time in the most literal fashion. He has already lived through the snap. He’s known about it since that very last scene in The First Avenger, and has been reliving the years up to the apocalypse... but with one major difference between timelines.
Tony survived the battle of New York this time.
Tumblr media
Further explanation below the cut:
So, all of the marvel fans who have seen the various leaks can reasonably theorize by now that the Avengers are going to use quantum tech to go time traveling. Whether this is to collect the Infinity Stones or to stop the snap before it happens isn’t certain yet. But we all have seen from this clip
youtube
that they’re gonna go pick a fight with Thanos sometime in the beginning of the film.
But what if that’s a flashback?
What if that’s what Steve and the remaining avengers did in another timeline, and lost? What if Steve was the last one left standing against Thanos and — instead of the power stone — he used the time stone against him? Pushed him back through time?
Maybe he just aimed to reduce Steve back to his skinny self to humiliate him.  But... that’s not really in character for Thanos, is it?
youtube
“Dread it... Run from it... Destiny still arrives.”
We never heard that line in Infinity War.
Yes, maybe Thanos just aimed to reduce Steve back to his skinny self.  Or maybe Thanos threw him back on purpose, to hammer home the point of inevitable defeat and ultimate destiny.
What if that line is from Endgame?
If it is, all of the MCU movies have been from this second attempt. This second timeline that Steve has been living through. Because when you rewatch the movies in this context?? A lot of Chris Evans’s acting choices make SO MUCH MORE SENSE??  I nean, let’s start from the beginning.  Picture going through Steve’s whole ordeal, living nearly a decade of your life in the future, pursuing Thanos again, facing a horrific battle with him where you see all your friends die, unable to fix the snap... then Thanos flashes you with a green stone and a line about inevitability and your brain turns to jelly and you pass out...
And wake up at the very beginning.
In that context, watch this clip:
youtube
There isn’t a vast amount of curiosity or confusion in this portrayal.  There is fear and a massive fight or flight response, and when you’re waking up for a second time in a world you don’t belong in, with full knowledge of where you are and what happened and what’s going to happen... just trying to get the truth out of people that you’ve already met, hoping like its some kind of practical joke or hell, maybe even a fever dream.  This is a nightmare scene for Steve because he’s already lived it.  And nobody else -- not even Fury -- seems to realize what’s happened.  You’ll notice that he never asks who Fury is.  Because he knows.  But he’s asking the questions he already knows the answers to because god, this can’t be happening...
But then look at that face journey at 2:38.  That’s not confusion.  That’s realization and sorrow and resignation.  Resigning himself to the fact that Thanos threw him back in time, deciding that he has a second chance here and trying not to see it as a punishment, but still grieving over the reality of the situation.
Then... the line.  “Yeah.  I just... I had a date.”
That’s the moment.  That’s the moment when he decided that he couldn’t tell anyone what he’s been through.  Because telling them would cause despair and panic when that kind of reaction wouldn’t be productive in any way.
In that context, let’s move onto the Avengers and the Captain America trilogy.
You’ll notice that throughout these films, Steve doesn’t react viscerally to anything.  He doesn’t even look surprised when Tony tells him that SHIELD is making weapons.  He doesn’t skip a beat.  He obviously doesn’t know the exact context of a few things because he was in a different place the first time around, but any questions he asks are remarkably flat, like he’s asking them just to go through the motions.
Moving onto Tony however, this is where the timelines start to diverge.
youtube
^^ Watch this video with this theory in mind.  It’s got some gems. ^^
So, Avengers 1.  Steve’s going through the motions.  You’ll notice that he doesn’t really react to anything majorly -- not even Coulson’s death -- until Tony taunts him on the helicarrier, and then one more time after Tony wakes up.  I theorize that in his reality, a lot of that taunting was the same, but in Steve’s first run through on this, Tony actually died beyond the portal.  Steve uses that irritation and grief to channel that argument, thinking that most likely it was what spurred Tony to make the necessary sacrifice in his 1st go.  In his first timeline, Nat closed the gate and the battle of New York ended with Tony dying out in space.
Then, in the second timeline, Tony comes hurtling down through the sky.  Steve is actually relieved to see a difference from the first run around!  He’s happy!    But then Tony reaches the ground and seems to be dead.  Steve is disappointed after thinking that there’s some kind of difference here, but again, he doesn’t seem to be surprised or horrible heartbroken about the death of a comrade.  After all, Tony made the necessary sacrifice.  This is how it played out the first time...
Then Tony wakes up and this is Steve’s face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
:O  “w8 he’s alive???”
The first major change in his perspective on the timeline.
Moving on to The Winter Soldier.
Tumblr media
This movie is unique to the 2nd timeline aka the MCU that we know because if Tony hadn’t survived the battle of New York, it wouldn’t exist.  Fury says here that the mini-helicarriers for Project Insight were made possible by repulsor technology.  If Tony wasn’t around to contribute to it, Project Insight wouldn’t have existed and Hydra never would have brought the Winter Soldier out of hibernation.
Therefore, giving birth to the other moment that took Steve genuinely by surprise.  Bucky’s reveal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Tony had died at the battle of New York, by extension the events of The Winter Soldier never would have happened.
Also, there’s this scene in the Winter Soldier.
youtube
Look at Steve’s face.  He is not confused.  He is not sad.  He is angry.  He is angry that Bucky has been alive all these years and he never knew.  Even through Thanos and the snap, he never knew Bucky was alive.  He’s gonna burn the world down before he lets Bucky suffer through whatever horrible fate he had in the 1st timeline because Steve wasn’t there for him.
Steve’s most genuine reactions in this entire trilogy are when he’s fighting his best friend and Hydra; a situation that he never saw coming.
Moving onto Avengers 2!  Age of Ultron!!
This whole movie was Tony’s responsibility and ergo, it was another massive event that Steve didn’t see coming because -- again -- if he had died in the battle of New York, Ultron and therefore Vision never would’ve existed.
But the most notable scene concerning this theory is this one:
Tumblr media
LOOK  AT  STEVE’S  FACE.
Tumblr media
HE KNOWS THEY’LL LOSE!  LOOK AT HIS FACE!!  HE’S SEEN IT!!  HE’S SEEN THEM LOSE!!  But he also knows that Tony is the only one that’s been able to change the timeline so far.  He lived through the battle of New York.  He helped cause the events of The Winter Soldier.  He directly caused the events of Age of Ultron.
And that’s why Civil War cut him so deep.
Tumblr media
Imagine.  Going through almost another decade of your life, dealing with new and old threats.  Realizing that this one dark-eyed genius is probably the best chance at beating what’s to come, because not only was Tony taking precautions, Tony is effecting the timeline.
But... he can’t let Bucky suffer.  Not again.  Not when Steve wasn’t there for him on the first go-around.
Steve makes a choice in Civil War, and it is a pure, heart-ripping, emotional choice.  He sacrifices one friend in order not to betray another, even if it wasn’t the smart thing to do.  Even if it put the past 5-6 years and the future in jeopardy.  It tore him apart, but he made a choice, and he sent Tony the burner phone.
“If you ever need me, I’ll be there.”
Steve knew that the best chance they had to defeat Thanos was together.
But Tony never called.
He disappeared.
The Avengers aren’t together when Thanos comes.  And they lose.  Again.
Tumblr media
Just....................
Look at his face...
This is fury.  This is anger.  This is denial.  This is the culmination of everything he’s worked for, everything he’s done to prove Thanos wrong.  And...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh god.”  Not like this.  Not again.
That is why, in Avengers Endgame, instead of rushing after Thanos, Steve tells the Avengers his story.  The full story.  His first timeline and Tony’s death and the death of all the Avengers against the mad prophet.  He turns to the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, Iron Man, Earth’s Best Defender, and tells him that he’s sorry.  That he made a choice in Civil War.  That Bucky died and maybe it was all for nothing but he refuses to believe that.  He refuses to give up.  Thanos will not win.
So they wait.  They train.  They look into quantum technology.  They stand as one.  And when the time comes, they will undo what Thanos has done... and they’ll do it right this time.
Because other people might move on.
Tumblr media
“But not us.”
...
So... would I shit my pants in the theater if this was canon? Probably.
Am I excited for Endgame?
Hell yeah.

Watch The Marvel Movies In Order
Tumblr media
AVENGERS: ENDGAME, opening on April 26, is more than just another Marvel movie. It’s the final film in a story that’s been over a decade in the making, a celebration of everything Marvel Studios has done to date. If you’re like us, a binge-watch of the entire MCU is in order to prepare for the big event. Here’s the big question: How should you watch the Marvel movies in order?
There are two common ways to build a Marvel movies timeline. The first is in release order, kicking off with 2008’s IRON MAN. The second is in chronological Marvel movie order, following the order of events. That means moving CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER to the pole position and shuffling Phase Three’s movies in some interesting ways.
Over on Reddit, however, one smart fan suggested another approach — a thematic structure that may be the best viewing order yet. Here it is, updated for the latest Marvel movie releases.
Captain America: The First Avenger
Tumblr media
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER is something of an extended introduction to the MCU. The bulk of the movie is set in the ’40s, and it introduces viewers to the SSR, which becomes S.H.I.E.L.D. Even the end-credits sequence, which features Nick Fury, is a nice setup for everything that will follow. Want to watch the Marvel movies in order? Start here.
Captain Marvel
Tumblr media
CAPTAIN MARVEL effectively takes the spot formerly held by IRON MAN as the proper kickoff for the entire MCU. The story is primarily set in the mid-’90s and features the first evolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. and an important stage of Nick Fury’s career. The story also sets up the Kree (later seen in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) and, most importantly, deals with an object that becomes significant toward the end of Marvel’s Phase One. As the origin story for Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), this also feels more like a Phase One movie than anything Marvel has done in the past few years. In terms of tone and theme, it sits well in the beginning of the viewing order. Yes, there’s a connection to INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME, but just keep this film’s first post-credits sequence in your back pocket for later.
Iron Man
Tumblr media
Although IRON MAN was the first MCU movie, it has more power when placed here. We know who Howard Stark is thanks to THE FIRST AVENGER. Watching his son take his first faltering steps into the “bigger universe” is an effective stage of the MCU movie order. The final scene, with Nick Fury stepping out of the shadows, will take on a subtly different meaning after the events of CAPTAIN MARVEL. Rather than hint at the birth of the MCU, it will become connective tissue linking the first three films together.
Iron Man 2
Tumblr media
After IRON MAN introduces viewers to the modern-day iteration of S.H.I.E.L.D., the sequel dives deep into that organization. It also features Nick Fury in a far more significant role, allowing viewers to get a sense of just who this figure really is. Meanwhile, the focus on Howard Stark’s legacy continues to draw the narrative threads together. It makes perfect sense to watch IRON MAN 2 at this point.
The Incredible Hulk
Tumblr media
This particular adjustment to the viewing order is appropriate — while THE INCREDIBLE HULK actually happens at the same time as IRON MAN 2, the end-credits sequence assumes Stark now has a “consultant” role with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Thor
Tumblr media
THOR introduces viewers to Asgard and launches a series of stories inspired by events in the Realm Eternal. At the same time, it continues to develop the story of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Coulson and Hawkeye playing important roles.
The Avengers
Tumblr media
This is a natural fit after the events of THOR, continuing many of that film’s themes and character arcs. Loki returns as a villain; the concept of the Tesseract is explored; and the existence of dangerous alien beings becomes public knowledge when the Chitauri invade New York. There’s also a more subtle detail as this is the first film to really hint that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t just “good guys.” THE AVENGERS includes a disturbing sequence in which the World Council orders a nuclear attack on American soil.
Thor: The Dark World
Tumblr media
Here’s where the order of events really changes, but for good reason. The last two films have explored the cosmic side of the MCU, and it makes sense to continue that line. Some of the most important themes and ideas — particularly the relationship between Thor and Loki — follow on perfectly from THE AVENGERS. This also introduces the idea of the Infinity Stones, although they’re only partly explained at this point.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Tumblr media
Continuing the cosmic focus, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY unveils another Infinity Stone. The Collector, introduced in the stinger of THOR: THE DARK WORLD, makes another appearance, tying the two films together. Viewers are left with a strong sense that the Infinity Stones are being brought into play across the universe.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Tumblr media
The events of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 are set only a couple of months after the first film, so it makes sense for this to follow straight on. It continues the space-opera style and tone established by the last two films in our Marvel movie order.
Iron Man 3
Tumblr media
The cosmic diversion is over, and the focus now moves back to Earth, where Tony Stark is dealing with the emotional fallout from THE AVENGERS. The passage of time between the films actually makes Tony’s PTSD feel more significant, while also more making it feel more natural that Stark has had the time to build so many armors.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Tumblr media
Continuing with the Earthly focus, this movie shows what Captain America is up to. This story could even be happening at the same time as IRON MAN 3, explaining why Cap doesn’t help Tony against the Mandarin and why Stark isn’t on hand to deal with Hydra. Or maybe Cap and Stark are merely still wary of one another at this stage. Perhaps most importantly, placing this film here begins a Falcon arc that will run through the next few movies.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Tumblr media
This is another natural fit. The film opens with the Avengers taking down a major Hydra base. In thematic terms, placing this close to IRON MAN 3 makes Tony’s emotional journey feel more immediate and natural. This film also begins to tie the Earth-bound adventures into the cosmic stories, with another Infinity Stone revealed. Thor’s vision establishes a sense of impending threat.
Ant-Man
Tumblr media
Set in the immediate aftermath of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, ANT-MAN contains subtle references to the devastation at Sokovia. Placing it here in the lineup makes the Falcon fight carry additional weight, bringing Sam closer to primary character status.
Captain America: Civil War
Tumblr media
The Sokovia arc that begun in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON comes to a head in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, tearing the Avengers apart. CIVIL WAR acts as the launchpad for the next batch of Earth-bound stories, so they slot in nicely after it. It also follows on perfectly from ANT-MAN’s end-credits scene.
Black Panther
Tumblr media
Black Panther was introduced in CIVIL WAR, and this continues his story. It’s appropriate to drop this movie in next, as BLACK PANTHER is set only a week after the Avengers divide, and the Wakandan focus follows on nicely from the end-credits sequence.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Tumblr media
Set two months after CIVIL WAR, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING focuses on Peter Parker. It’s important to note that Tony Stark has been given time to heal a little, so this viewing order makes sense.
Doctor Strange
Tumblr media
Placing DOCTOR STRANGE here gives the film real importance as a thematic tie between the MCU’s Earth-bound and cosmic movies. DOCTOR STRANGE introduces the concept of magic and brings the Time Stone into play. The Quantum Realm also plays a subtle role, as Strange glimpses it while being sent careering through the dimensions. Finally, the end-credits scene leads nicely into THOR: RAGNAROK.
Thor: Ragnarok
Tumblr media
This film follows on logically from DOCTOR STRANGE. (There’s even a cameo.) The end credits begin the direct buildup to AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, with the Asgardian refugees intercepted in space by Thanos.
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Tumblr media
This is a difficult one to place in this thematic structure. While it returns to the Earth-bound adventures, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is fantastical and funny. The bulk of the story is set before the events of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, so it makes sense to place it here. This particular viewing order does change how the post-credits scene plays, however. Rather than knowing what’s going on, you’re with the same sense of shock and horror felt by Hank Pym or Scott Lang.
Avengers: Infinity War
Tumblr media
In this order, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR will be the last thing you watch before AVENGERS: ENDGAME. That works particularly well when you consider that, according to screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the snap was originally in ENDGAME. These two films may not be a traditional Parts I and II anymore, but their relationship is so close that it’s better to watch them back to back — just how they were filmed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really a fan of Superhero Movies, but after watching Captain Marvel last Friday, I was hooked. I’ve decided then to binge-watch all the Marvel Movies so I can catch up before they release the Avengers : Endgame. My only dilemma was, I have no idea what to watch first and so on. I tried to do a little research and I came across with this article. I’ve watched the 1st three movies, and since I’ve already tendered my resignation, I have all the time to finish the remaining movies before the opening of the final story. Yey!!

I can't DM you because you don't follow me, but I am curious about the break down.
hey no prob
this is the most accurate and fitting leak description I have heard so far, and it falls in line with all the set photos, toy leaks and even the Captain Marvel post credit scene....
so potential SPOILER ALERT
so potential SPOILER ALERT
so potential SPOILER ALERT
Endgame 1st and 2nd Act Spoilers from 4chan
“Original text:
I have a good chunk of information regarding the first two acts of Endgame:
-The first act of the movie isn't very action heavy but moves very quickly and covers a lot of ground.
-Tony and Nebula are trapped in space.
-The whole opening is a spiritual reimagining Tony's "escape from the cave."
-He uses pieces of Nebula to repair the ship and escape to Earth.
-Title card
-Thanos is on Titan 2, alone and meditating.
-Gamora appears to speak with him. She forgives him for his actions, and apologizes for her own.
-Gamora disintegrates to reveal he's using the gauntlet to do some weird-ass puppet show for himself with the image of Gamora. This shows the audience that while damaged, the gauntlet still works.
-Ant-Man is falling through the quantum realm. He trips through time, seeing the past and future laid out before him. He sees himself becoming Ant Man, going to prison, and even gets a glimpse of his daughter years down the road.
-He tries to exit the realm as close to the present as possible but lands a couple of weeks later than intended. How convenient!
-He exits on the roof next to the van and Pym's equipment. No one is to be seen.
-After some NYC post-snap establishing shots, we catch up with Captain America and Rhodey at the Snap support meeting.
-The scene makes it clear that Cap has absolutely no intention of moving on.
-Thor has found a place for his people to live and Rocket has joined him as Rocket doesn't really have anyone else.
-Short Valkyrie cameo here. Thor wants to find Thanos ASAP and avenge the dead by killing him. Valkyrie insists it's dangerous for the Avengers to strike back before they're ready.
It's at this point that Rocket receives a signal from the Benatar headed toward Earth.
-He and Thor intercept the ship as it lands. Rocket is super bummed to see that everyone but Nebula is dead.
-He comments on Stark's impressive modification of the ship and the two hit it off immediatley.
-Widow and Banner speak at Avengers HQ. They still aren't really sure where they stand with each other. Steve and Rhodey eventually join the group at HQ.
-Steve and Natasha want to try to do something to avenge the dead. Rhodey and Banner are ready to give up and don't believe anything can be done.
-Tony makes a stop at home to see Pepper. He makes it clear that he needs to fix what happened and she has to accept it. He leaves.
-A computer alarm sounds at Avengers HQ and the group go to see that Fury's beacon has stopped transmitting the message that lead them to it in the first place. Marvel shows up looking for Fury and they begin to explain things to her.
-Tony, Thor, Nebula, and Rocket approach the Avengers HQ. Thor senses an Infinity Stone nearby and they prepare for a fight with Thanos as they soar into the compound.
-Marvel engages in a skirmish with the understandably trigger happy Tony and Co. before Steve, Rhodey, and Widow break up the fight.
-Thor tells the rest that Marvel gives off the same energy as an infinity stone. Banner asks her if he can take some scans.
-Tony and Steve reunite. They don't speak about their differences, and only engage in awkward small talk.
-Thor expresses his wishes to go after Thanos, and Tony doesn't think it's worth the risk. Tony explains that he wants to fix things just as badly as they all do, but that's he's made the mistake of running into things headfirst too many times and if they're going to attempt anything, it needs to be done carefully.
-The next day, Ant Man shows up at Avengers HQ. His daughter and family have all disappeared and he's freaked out.
-Rhodey makes a joke about how many people have shown up at the door in the last day.
-They tell Ant Man what happened with Thanos.
-Ant Man explains the breakthrough they had with the quantum realm. Scott is convinced that they can go back in time to change the events of the past and stop Thanos, but Tony makes it clear that changing the past drastically is too dangerous.
-Ant Man is hysterical and begs Tony to try anything, telling him about how he saw his older daughter in the quantum realm and believes that some reality where she is alive must exist. This strikes a chord with Tony.
-Banner finished analyzing his scans of Marvel and speaks with Tony. He tells him that Captain Marvel is almost a perfect replica of an infinity stone herself (even more powerful than Scarlett Witch,) and this leads Tony to the idea that he may be able to replicate the stones with the right tech. This would enable them to retrieve the stones in the past without drastically upsetting space/time.
-Tony goes to Wakanda with Banner, Marvel, Rocket, Nebula, and Rhodey to look into some of Shuri's research and her scans of Vision.
-They are able to get some useful information that will help them create something to control the stones.
-M'Baku pledges to help them should the need arise. Tony asks him to continue using their tech to help the world deal with the repercussions of the snap.
-The rest of the group go look for Clint. They run into him showing off his new combat skills as Ronin. They manage to recruit him.
-On Titan 2, Thanos has another conversation with young soul stone Gamora. She shows him all of the souls he snapped.
-Now the group begin to plan their assault on Thanos.
-The plan is to copy each of the stones in the past via the quantum realm and form a new gauntlet.
-The info from Shuri's computer helps them understand how to build a receptacle for the stones.
-Captain Marvel's composition helps them understand how to copy the stones.
-Once they get the new gauntlet, they will undo the snap and then attempt to kill Thanos to keep him from doing more damage.
-Ant Man will help one team enter the quantum realm and Marvel will help the other team pass through it.
-We get a timeskip montage that brings us into the second act of the film. They aren't explicit about how long the skip is, but it isn't nearly as long as other leaks have suggested.  Maybe a few weeks max.
-In the montage, Tony reworks some old tech with Banner and Rocker to make devices for copying the stones. They also make suits for everyone. We get a sneak peak at the War Buster Armor. Cap gets his shield back.
-Before they set off, there are some character moments.
-Thor and Ronin discuss the loss of their families.
-Natasha and Banner talk about Banner being unable to summon Hulk.
-Tony and Steve have an awkward conversation about working together again.
-The team heads out in two groups. One will get the Space and Mind stones, and one will get the Reality and Power stones. They will regroup after that and move onto the final two stones.
-Space and Mind: Tony, Ant Man, War Machine, Natasha, Banner. Battle of NYC. The Tesseract is in plain sight, mind stone is literally inside Stark tower at one point with only Loki defending it.
-Banner is tasked with copying the Tesseract while Natasha and War Machine help defend it.
-Banner struggles to bring out the Hulk still and Natasha tries to help coax him out but is unsuccessful.
-Tony and Ant Man go after Loki and the scepter, running into past Cap, who they have a brief comedic interaction with.
-They disarm Loki immediately after his conversation with Past Tony and copy the scepter before giving it back to him, much to his surprise (evacuating the situation after copying stones to the shock of past characters becomes a bit of a running joke.)
-Banner comes face to face with the past Hulk after Hulk saves him from some Chitauri. They share a silent state amd Banner has some kind of visible mental epiphany.
-With both stones copied, they ditch the city, much to the confusion of the old Avengers.
-Reality and Power: Thor, Cap, Marvel, Rocket, Clint, and Nebula. Rocket and Thor's combined knowledge tell them that there were two stones on Nowhere at one time.
-They intercept the Guardians showing the stone to the Collector and demand he bring them the Reality Stone.
-He brings them to the massive receptacle he keeps the reality stone in and they prepare to copy the stones.
-Unfortunately for them, they still need to deal with Ronan. Rocket figures that preventing him from showing up entirely will affect time/space too much.
-Marvel, Thor, Rocket, and Nebula fight alongside the past Guardians to hold back Ronan's army while the stones are copied, mostly playing defense so as not to change the past too much.
-Ronin and Cap defend the stones up close.
-They manage to copy the stones and abandon the Guardians, much to their confusion.
-During the copying scenes, we see Thanos on Titan 2. While the stones are being copied, the stones in his gauntlet begin to flicker as if they're being activiated. Thanos notices this and puts on the gauntlet. He pauses for a moment and says "Stark."
-The group meet back at HQ. On the way through the Quantum Realm, Tony sees that he and Pepper have a daughter in the future. They repair equipment and Cap congratulates Tony on a clever plan. They send Thor and Cap to go find Wong for the next phase of the plan.
-Natasha and Banner discuss Hulk. Banner realizes that he hasn't been appreciate of the Hulk saving his ass and treats him like a child.
-Tony goes home to see Pepper before they finish the mission. He's attacked by several Outriders at his home.
-He kills them and rushes back to HQ.
-Cap and Thor are also attacked while recruiting Wong.
-Everyone returns to HQ. Thanos attacks.
-Thanos is kicking ass. Marvel holds her own. Banner manages to Hulk out and evens the odds.
-Wong tricks Thanos and traps him in an alternate dimension. He's clear that it won't hold Thanos for long.
-The group begin hunting the last two infinity stones after this. Unsure what happens past this point.”

Bits and things about movies and TV shows in 2018
It is a rather similar post to what I have done back in 2016, and I thought it would be a great way how to re-start /for at least a fifth time/ to write and share some stories of life, movies and some other things as well.  Movies and TV series have always been something that I enjoy watching. I love it for many reasons, starting with the fact that you can see a form of art displayed on the screen. Imagine how many people it took to put the whole thing together. Actors, directors, designers (costume and set), producers, editors, sound engineers and way more. Movies and TV shows in a way also provide a great escape for those who need it. You can let your imagination flow with the movie and explore something above your own life. Movies and TV shows can also change our perception of life. I am not saying it alters your life completely, but I do believe that a great idea caught in a movie can be taken home with you and it shifts your understanding at least a little bit.
This is not a list of the TOP 10 movies, created by the academy or a scientifically proven list, this is just me as a friend and a lover of the arts sharing my own favourite movies and TV shows of 2018. A fair warning ahead, these are not just movies and TV shows released in 2018, but I have included older ones, which I have seen and enjoyed in the past year. I have been nice and I linked all the titles with the IMDb pages as well. /Enough blah, blah and lets start!/
The Voices (2014) - /Told you that I ain't sharing just 2018 love affairs/ This one definitely has flown under the radar by many. Ryan Reynolds is in it, so do you need any other reason, why not to watch it? It is a very psychedelic thriller comedy. It definitely made me a bit sad the next day /and slightly relieved/ that I can not understand what my animals are trying to say.
Tumblr media
Black Panther (2018) - Of course this is on my list, not just because I am a huge fan of the Marvel cinematic universe, but also because this raised a new bar for superhero story telling. I know that a lot of people did not like the movie, it was not their taste. That is totally fine, cause we are so different, with so many opinions. But for me the movie felt great because it was engaging both on the action, I loved the story how Black Panther came to be and it was filled with color. Also in my opinion the African style was very nicely added within the clothes and each tribes specific culture. Additional reason why it is one of my 2018 favourites is also due to what it did on a social level. If you have no idea, what I am talking about, check this article. Wakanda forever!
The Office (2005–2013) - As I had no job for a month and a half, between writing job applications and sleeping /officially we stick with this story/, this was what I devoted my whole attention to. For sure this is not everyones cup of tea, but as a person who quit working in a big corporation I could relate to a lot of things within the show. Also I started daydreaming of having a similar love story as Jim Halpert and Pam, but more in reality I was driving towards being Stanley or even Creed. Not sure what I am talking about, again? Just check out the show. The jokes are still very relevant and the corporate environment is still the same.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - /Give them all the Oscars/ A second of many entries from the Marvel universe. Not everyone likes superhero movies, but for those who do, I think this one is one of the top ones. The sheer pressure throughout the movie and the rather dark ending of it brought many people to shed a tear. /Me included/ What in general I love about superhero movies lately is the fact, that it is not all fun and games, and being the best. It is portrayed as a challenge that actually in the end destroys you. Speaking in philosophical terms, it is the same as being nice and open to everyone in these days. Sooner or later you will burn out for the sake of others. Back to the movie, it is also amazing that they managed to connect so many characters together and bring a good story with them all. Marvel has definitely worked this out, and the result of Captain America: Civil War already showed it.
Lady Bird (2017) - Yes, standing next to superheroes there is also this film. The simple question - do you remember how you felt when you were seventeen? When I look back at things now, sometimes I would give everything to be seventeen again. Take away the responsibilities and everything, but then I also remember that even back then the world felt a bit too big to handle. Most of us have managed to step away from the idea that we need to please everyone, but still we do like the idea that people like us. Remember how it was back then?
The End of the F***ing World - There are many opinions about this TV show, from people saying that it is awesome, to people saying that they don't get why others waste time on it. I loved it. It is best if you check out the trailer and give it a try. Maybe it connects to people on a personal level and it drives them to watch it, maybe that is also the reason for such divided opinions.
The Magicians - I have not seen Harry Potter /for shame... I know... how can I even exist/ but I think this would be something a HP fan would love as well as anyone else. The premise is simple - what would you do if you would find out that magic is real? I watched the first season with a buddy in 2017 and then I binged watched the second and third once I moved back home. It is a crazy story that can also drive the question in your mind - what would do if you would find out magic exists? Watch the first trailer here and do the goddamn magic! P.S. Hurry up season 4 is just around the corner.
The Orville - I owe a lot to my buddy Marian for sharing this with me. This show definitely receives a gold medal from my side. It is funny, engaging and it talks about so many social questions and issues all at once. In our society I would expect we would be more advance and wiser, but there are still so many instances of racism and homophobia around us. This show tackles these serious notions and others perfectly. Of course in reality most probably if we would meet alien species at first it would be bombarding them and asking questions later, but just think how our belief and general acceptance would change if we would live and work side by side with aliens from many different planets. There is more to life than just black and white, and it is my belief that we should be advancing to a more open, understanding and diverse society. Second season is out now and so far it is as amazing as the first one.
Tumblr media
Papillon (2017) - The story plot I think is not heard for the first time. A wrongly accused man gets imprisoned and forms a friendship with someone. But the story develops and takes you along with it. The sad reality is that quite a lot of people have faced it back in the day and in some countries they face it still.
A Prayer Before Dawn (2017) - The plot of the movie is based on a real life story of an English fighter who is imprisoned in Thailand. It is not an easy afternoon movie to watch, it is actually rather hard to digest, because of the simple notion that it is true. I can only be surprised how in reality the main character has survived it all and how he now works with prisoners and tries to help them.
Origin - This was such a damn surprise. Started it at the end of the year and binged watched it until the end, after coming back home from a New Years party on the 1st of January. It is a thriller horror mashup. The idea of moving away from direct jump scare and gory horror is something that I love, and this show delivered on it. Being a suspense play between hunting an alien on a spaceship, surviving and dealing with their own pasts, the survivors on the ship portray brilliantly how people in stressful situations change. The horror genre is not for everyone, but seeing that this is not the standard horror flick with gore added, I can only recommend it.
A Quiet Place (2018) - I started 2019 by really jumping into scary (or I would much rather call them thriller) movies. In a way, I blame Origin for that, because it filled me with adrenaline and I needed more suspense, and boy o boy, did A Quiet Place deliver on it. John Krasinski has directed a great movie, playing in it with sounds and sign language, adding suspense as the movie develops. It is called one of the best movies of 2018 and there is a good reason for that. I did not like the ending of the movie, but that is something you can check out and share your opinion about.
Aquaman (2018) - Yes, I am ending the list with a superhero movie. I just will come out and say it - I loved Aquaman! I am still so hyped about it, that I am even going to take my sisters kids to see it. The DC universe has been in the shadows ever since Batman v Superman (I am on of the few people who loved it), better let's stay away from Suicide Squad because it was a pure disappointment. Justice League was ok, but in all honesty I forgot I have seen it. But Aquaman... oh Jason Momoa, hats off for bringing the character that has been a bit of a joke between the comic fans on the first spot. The visual effects, the action, the story. It was all really well combined. I do hope that Warner Brothers and DC take this into account and they maybe find their vibe in creating good movies. I still don't get it, why did they get so afraid when people said that Batman v Superman was so dark.
Tumblr media
Honorable mentions:
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) - Perfectly stands next to Avengers: Infinity War and tries not to compete with it.
Venom (2018) - Not sure why people did not like this one.
Deadpool 2 (2018) - It is Deadpool... how can you not love Deadpool?
The Terror (2018) - Literally a chilling TV show thriller.
Bird Box (2018) - The hype is very real and deserved.
Outlaw King (2018) - Netflix definitely has the power to create great movies (most of the time)
Darkest Hour (2018) - As it turns out Mr. Churchill in real life was not such a nice guy, but Gary Oldmans performance of the character was amazing.
Altered Carbon (2018) - I like Sci-Fi and in particular I liked Blade Runner 2049, and this gave me a similar feeling to it.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017) - I did not know Vince Vaughn could play such a strong and steady character. This movie reminded me Shot Caller which in a similar way undeservedly flew by people.
I did not get it:
The Predator (2018) - They had such an amazing material (first two movies in particular) to work with, but they created such a dud.
Bright (2017) - I miss the days when Will Smith was in good movies.
Skyscraper (2018) - I know that The Rock can do way better movies. Just look at The Rundown (2003).
Daddys Home 2 (2017), Tag (2018) and Night School (2018) - Comedy movies in general are facing a hard time, it could be because most of the jokes have already been said and also because it is hard to connect with a slightly older audience. /Yes, yes 27 is not that old, but it is not that young as well either/ I think comedy movies should stop dumbing it down and maybe trying to find more intelligent and maybe sarcastic approach to jokes. Not saying that the movies are bad per say, but they are not impressive enough in a genre that deserves and needs impressive, good comedy movies.
Murder on the Orient Express (2017) - Tried to watch it at least three times and could not finish it.
This is for sure a view point of my own and I am not expecting that everyone would have the same opinion about the movies selected. Movies and TV shows are something to enjoy and entertain ourselves with. It is not just the story plot, the acting, it is also camera work and playing with words and in some cases even sounds. Spending their free time in front of the screen is not for everyone, but for me, I love a good movie and TV show, the same as I love reading a good book in the morning whilst going to work. 2019 will be an interesting year for movies and TV shows, as Marvel is releasing Captain Marvel, Avengers: End Game, there will be also many great shows returning like The Magicians, The Punisher, Vikings is now running as well, and of course Game of Thrones comes to an end.
Have I missed something watch worthy?
Let us hope for a headbanging and awesome 2019 inside and outside of the big screen!

The problem with saying Loki ruled Asgard longer, and was a better ruler of Asgard than Thor,  is VAST.
First off, Thor didn't have a fucking chance. He ruled for only a few hours if even before Thanos came and slaughtered the Asgardians because of LOKI stealing the tesseract in Ragnarok. You can not compare their ruling based on time. Thor needed the time to be away from Asgard to learn to be a good man, and to know his limits and when not to be a spoiled brat chasing war for no reason, and to learn what was important about ruling people/learning more about what it meant to truly protect people and the things/places he loved. He has major character development through the series that makes him a good king because he recognizes that the title requires more than sitting on your ass eating grapes watching bad theater.
The way they rule... Originally if he had been king in the first movie, Thor would have had Asgard at war at every turn. It would have been chaos. But after everything he's been through, going from God/Prince/Future King to Mortal/Weak to Slave/Possession (for someone's violent amusement )the character development changes how he would have ruled. He thought only for the best of his people, got half of them to safety with Valkyrie, and fought -most likely with the intent of dying for his people- until he had nothing and was completely broken. Thor's actions in Infinity War are flat out suicidal and fueled by rage and depression. He's lost everything - and it all started with Loki allowing Jotuns into Asgard to prevent his intended rule. But at the same time, Loki helped him be a better fit for a king by doing so. But Thor didn't have a chance to prove himself a worthy and good king before Thanos came and fucked shit up because Loki couldn't keep his hands off of the Tesseract. But, that brings the question of if Thanos would have come either way. Loki owed him the debt from his failure after all. But in both scenarios- he came because of Loki. Loki has ruled twice. Let's talk about instance number one-    to get the title of king he a)let enemies into Asgard b)caused 4 deaths and showed zero remorse for what he'd done c)Had Thor banished (you can argue if this was intentional or not based on the movie and one of the Thor guidebook which says he intentionally goaded Thor into going to Jotunheim to get him in trouble with Odin) d) Only got it because Odin went into Odinsleep (you guys joke but this dude was already in poor health-poor enough for his enemy to take notice of his weakness- add the stress of his 1st son being banished because 'well fuck he's just like the banished child and needs to learn not to be' and the stress of Loki finding out who he really is/that originally he planned to use him and Loki refused to let him explain further and instead went full out pissed and yelling at a weak old man)
Now there is that deleted scene where Frigga gives him the title BUT IT DOES NOT FIT INTO THE MOVIE. Rewatch it, try to place that scene. It doesn't fit. Loki is playing King before he speaks with Frigga in that deleted scene- which was shortened and edited in after he's already playing king. It does not fully apply to the canon of the movie because of this technicality. So for all we know- he took the title without Frigga's knowledge. So during that first rule, what did Loki do? A)closed off the Bifrost to prevent Thor's return B)Sent the Destroyer to kill Thor, and even told it to destroy everything in the little town Thor was in -with no regard for the lives which could be lost because of his actions. C)Allowed Laufey into Jotunheim, and let's be real Laufey could have easily turned around, stabbed Loki, and then gone off to kill Frigga and Odin. D)Let Laufey hit Frigga, played perfect hero son only after Laufey was already on top of Odin about to stab him, and pretended not to know a thing, like 'Lol how'd he get here idk mother but I'll protect you even though he already flung you across the room'
Loki's rule should technically end when Thor returns. But even then, Loki has Gungnir, which is basically saying he's still in some way in charge and what does he do with this power? He takes the kings staff to the Bifrost with the intent of destroying an entire planet after already murdering his biological father/a king, putting Asgard in danger, and his own king and queen-his adoptive parents, in a very dangerous position. -Frigga may be good with small knives but she was struggling with that sword.
Let's move to rule 2.
Take into consideration everything he did in Midgard-   bringing an alien army to attack the planet, killing over 80 people in like 2 days, causing destruction and chaos in New York which would later lead to the problems in later MCU movies that take place in Midgard (Spiderman Homecoming is a good example) and let' not forget having mind slaves he completely damaged. All of this was in his conquest to gain enough power to be king. But we know Midgard was never the end game for Loki- it was always Asgard. And remorse? Yeah, not really there. He has a brief moment of 'It's too late', but he uses that to stab Thor- meaning he was likely playing on Thor's emotions knowing Thor would fall for his puppy eyes.
So Loki's imprisoned (for showing no remorse and acting like everything is just a silly children's game-and Odin knows where it is headed because of Hela), he's not in any way a king or ruler of anything, but even in his cell he inadvertently causes Frigga's death in hoping to send Algrim/Kurse to Odin and Thor. 'I don't think the people of Asgard would take kindly to a king who murdered their predecessor' -So I'll send someone else to do it for me. (Because who is next in line if Thor and Odin die? Loki, you know if they hadn't decided to do that fuck up of 'lol Hela is their older sister now', but I digress.) The fact is Loki never shows real guilt or remorse until he realizes he is the reason that Frigga, the only person still giving him any chance and sneaking around to speak with him, died. So the story goes -he sets off, helps Thor, even protects Jane, and then fakes his death. Again. Both times were different though- I believe he truly believed he'd die if he let go of Mjolnir's handle based off the tie in Avengers comic-they believed Loki would be torn to shreds by the world tree. But in this fake death, it's all Loki. He gets up, brushes off, returns to Asgard.
So how does he get to be king the second time? He curses Odin, banishes him in Midgard in a retirement home -and never checks up to be like 'oh yeah whatever happened to dad?'- which leads to Odin being a homeless vagabond just chilling in Norway waiting to see his sons one last time. In the meantime, Loki gives Thor what he wants and sends him to Midgard. Of course, Thor says he returned to Asgard once in AOU- but did he really? He would have caught on that Odin wasn't Odin if he really had. (Really it's a shame they wouldn't let Joss focus on Thor like he wanted) - So that mention of going to Asgard in AOU-let's assume Loki was off doing Loki things and avoiding Thor. Which leads to Thor traveling the universe for YEARS trying to find answers about the Infinity Stones. -A mess Loki helped make worse, but that began in Captain America. (Thanks, Red Skull.)
So what's Loki doing while Thor's off trying to save the universe? He's ignoring Asgards duties, which leads to the Dwarves slaughter and the gauntlet being made (of course he may have thought he had the real and only gauntlet in the vault).  Loki gathers up some bad actors, writes his own little play, erects a giant statue of himself, MOCKS FRIGGA'S DEATH by making his 'sacrifice' in avenging her a total joke in the play and by laughing at it, and maybe even hoes around with the servant ladies that surround him while he watches the play. Which if he did- further mocks Frigga and Odin.
Thor arrives and calls him out on his shit, his reign is pretty much done for. But Thor doesn't get the chance to rule, he has to clean Loki's mess and get Odin, and then he has to clean Odin's mess with Hela. Thor tries to prevent Hela from reaching Asgard, but Loki shouts for the gate to be open-if Heimdall was in charge of the gate and saw this shit he would have kept it closed. Just saying. So Loki gives Hela an opening to put Asgard and its people in danger- which if she had won in the end, would have led to death and chaos across the universe. But that's not how the story goes. Thor and Loki get thrown into Sakaar. Loki's been there for weeks and is just mingling and partying, making jokes about his first death, and while he's stolen ship passcodes-is making no real effort to leave and go fight for his people. But that is all Thor is worried about and wants to do. Even when Thor is a slave, locked up and unable to do much but fight to get his freedom, he only thinks of returning to Asgard to save the people. Loki even tries to prevent Thor from doing so for money.-and possibly being petty that Thor would not go with his plan to escape together and ignore Asgard, let it burn. Thor escapes, he fights for his people- and Loki turns up afterwards, only to ham it up and be a big diva like 'LOOK I AM BRINGING A BIG SHIP AND I AM SAVING YOU ALL WITH IT' -yes, he fights, yes, in the end, he pledges allegiance to Asgard, but his actions prior to his Infinity War death are not the actions of a good king, only a selfish man. He and Thor both understand ruling well, but they both understand different aspects, and Loki's is the toxic form, while Thor's is the good-natured and humble form. Combining them together=great king.
If Thanos hadn't of come, Thor would still have people to care for and rule over, but he doesn't. He has nothing. He's a space hobo now. His rule would have been much longer than Loki's, and, in an ideal world, they could have learned to work together to combine their understanding of what it means to be king. But that world doesn't exist.

ok, hear me out. I would like to jot down something about Thor ragnarok. Warning *spoiler!*  and *personal opinions!* alert!!!!
As I watch Thor Ragnarok, I find/assume that..........
First, Thor Ragnarok is becoming a comedy movie but I LOVE THIS WAY!!!! >w< also I’ve never thought to see female main villain before...so, marvel is trying to make a change and it’s works!! great job!!!
(Mostly) Loki’s being bully by everyone (trust me you could count it) and 2nd is goes to Thor.
I always wonder and think that Thor’s power came from his hammer but it’s not....
Is it me or Hela is look like Loki from the 1st movie (and the 1st avengers movie) and I’m glad that Thor has a big sister (who is more violent than him).
Thor is now mature and grow up man While Loki’s character also has a development. Thor is also being more troll (as he trolls his enemy and his own brother) than Loki and Loki is like hot-head person since he picks a fight with everyone who piss him.
Loki is now understand everything more clearly (Odin call him and Thor for my sons and he said that he loves them both before dying)  and maybe began to care his brother and love Odin more as Loki and Thor’s relationship becomes really strengthen as they spends time together more than any movies. He also make a morn together with Thor when Odin’s dead. (perhaps we could see him fight along side with Thor in the avengers infinity war too. just a thinking, just a thinking....; w ; ) I just always wanted him to have this way of relationship it’s like bromance and rivalry brother love.... <3 <3 <3
I surprise (and glad) that Loki is confirm by big sister of odinson sibling (Hela) that he (sounds)looks like Odin than Thor?!?! (Hela said Thor doesn’t look like Odin at all )  and I connect to the previous story......Does that mean, Odin some kind of  (little dislike and) ignore Loki because he did really look like him (Odin) in personality?!? (and maybe it’s remind him of his younger day too)  And as Thor’s growing up, He becomes more like his mother (in personality : you see, Frigga tends to care for Loki even he did the crime so does with Thor) and you know, Odin loves his wife, this could be a reason why Odin give Thor more attention than Loki.
so, inclusion Thor = Mainly Frigga personality (+ some of Odin’s too) , Loki =  Tends to have Odin’s personality from the start.
I’m really glad to see Bruce banner takes more role ; w ; (I also like Hulk but I prefer Bruce more lol)
I still confuse but I assume that Loki doesn’t take the Tesseract with him. maybe he completely change his mind and trust his brother more.
I have an idea for the ending credit, Thor and his co. somehow manage to get on midgard (Earth) and Dr.strange is keeping an eye for and nagging Thor about brings the Asgardian (and his brother) to Earth.
Dr.Strange : I can find better place for you, so please, “all” of you asgardian leave this planet alone???
As Thor and co. is insisting to live on earth.
The end, thank you for reading this. (sorry for focusing on Thor and Loki, I just love them so much ; w ; )

Projection Room: The Smit Awards 2018
Tumblr media
What a year it’s been. YouTube channels got ripped apart, launched and ripped apart even more, Disney actually closed the Fox deal, life at two cinemas has become the norm, superhero films have dominated the box office, and for a change Hollywood has had less scandal than it usually does... hang on, I sense a Gunn has been fired somewhere.
As ever, here on TheJackSmit.com, we end every year with our satirical awards that honour the best and worst of the last 12 months. It’s our way of looking back at a year where 66 films got reviewed in-cinema, a new strand of screening was conquered, and I got to witness actual film production for the first time. So, let’s just get on with it. Welcome to this year’s edition of the Smit Awards.
Before we begin…
Time for the usual rules and regulations of these elusive honours. There are none, except for the main Film of the Year- that has to have been screened on a British cinema screen (whether it’s previews, Screen Unseen or general release) between January 1st and December 23rd, and the important bit: if it was nominated for any of the major Hollywood awards back in February, it’s of no interest here. So, here we go, and be warned, there are potential spoilers ahead.
DIRECTION
Bart Layton, American Animals
This guy worked wonders on this film. After making a few documentaries in the past, his first true feature film blended the worlds of fact and fiction incredibly well, and stylistically, this film just worked on so many levels. I really wanted to give this award to a fresh filmmaker, and for Layton, he did his thing at the right time.
PERFORMANCES
Lead: Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody and Viola Davis, Widows
Tumblr media
These set of awards were difficult. And as usual, because of the way distribution works, I can’t go with the big films yet- so these two are the strongest performances in my eyes. Malek was able to become Freddie Mercury pretty damn well, and for Viola Davis, she is able to pull off quite a complex role and make it her own.
Support: Timothee Chalamet, Beautiful Boy and Claire Foy, First Man
Tumblr media
Again, it’s been difficult to pick these awards. Chalamet continues his blistering rise into Hollywood’s elite with his work on Felix Van Groeningen’s adaptation of Beautiful Boy (and that performance arguably saved the film, believe me), and with Foy’s performance in First Man- a film which has been looked down upon by cinemagoers, it is subtle, nuanced and very thoughtfully worked out.
Ensemble: Bad Times at the El Royale
Tumblr media
I can’t not give this film some love- when myself and film production guru Ed Greenberg seen this one back in October, we were rather taken back by the quality of the entire cast- so it felt like the natural choice for this year’s Ensemble award.
SCREENPLAYS
Original: Bad Times at the El Royale
And speaking of the El Royale, Drew Goddard’s script really did make that film come alive- we all know how good his films have been, and this one is no exception, every character has their own narrative, and it is balanced so well that even the mighty Ed Greenberg (who I have worked with more than ever for this blog over the last year) was impressed with it. And me and him are not easy to impress.
Adapted: Black Panther
Hail to the king. Ryan Coogler added a whole new take on the superhero genre with his work on Marvel’s February release this year, and his script with Joe Robert Cole felt refreshing. This may be the big award it scoops at the Oscars, and considering the success of this film, it is fully deserved if it wins the big one.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
First Man
You can’t really argue with the work of Linus Sandgren nowadays... unless it’s on films like Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Just the sheer scale of that landing sequence in First Man was enough to convince me for this award- but obviously shooting it for IMAX is the real reason that cinematography worked.
Traditionally we’d deliver an award for Visual Effects in this bit. But because the standard this year has been so good, picking one film wouldn’t do any justice. So here’s the best of the best.
AQUAMAN
AVENGERS INFINITY WAR
READY PLAYER ONE
MARY POPPINS RETURNS
All of these films had some top quality CG, and like I say, picking one sole winner would be too difficult.
MUSIC
ORIGINAL SCORE: Daniel Pemberton, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
This guy has had an absolute killer few years. Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E, Molly’s Game, Ocean’s 8, and now his masterwork- not bad for a guy who once upon a time wrote the title music for Peep Show. Watch the film first, then listen to that score again- because it fits the action perfectly.
SOUNDTRACK ALBUM: A Star is Born
Tumblr media
Obviously. The impact this film has had in the charts kind of warrants this particular award, and potentially that Oscar for Best Original Song too.
WTF MOMENT OF THE YEAR (THE I SMELL BULLSMIT AWARD)
The entire film, Sorry To Bother You
Tumblr media
Anybody who’s seen this film will know exactly what I mean when I say that the ending was literally unexpected. But seriously though, Sorry To Bother You is the most surreal thing I’ve seen in a cinema screen, and that’s saying something.
TURKEY OF THE YEAR
Awarded to the film that disappoints audiences and critics alike
There were so many contenders for this award in 2018. But there could only be one.
SHOW DOGS
Tumblr media
Angry. Disappointed. Regular readers will know that those are the most scathing words I can bestow upon a film, and in this case, those are the most suitable.
In a year where we’ve had Venom, The Happytime Murders, Patrick, Nutcracker and The Four Realms as well as Robin Hood, none of them could compare with the mediocrity of Raja Gosnell’s Show Dogs. It truly was horrific. And that’s before I mention the infamous ‘zen place’ joke.
THE ‘MYSTERY FILM NIGHT’ AWARD
Awarded to the most surprising Screen Unseen film of the last 12 months
AMERICAN ANIMALS
Tumblr media
I am honestly surprised that this film didn’t open wider than it did- because it was a film that really came out of nowhere. It was bold and unique, especially considering the true nature of the story, and quite honestly, seek this film out when it’s released on DVD- because it’s unlike any heist film you’ve ever seen.
OUTSTANDING BRITISH FILM
WIDOWS
It’s been a rocky road for this film at the box office, but Widows was another masterclass from Steve McQueen, one that qualifies for this honour through its link with Film4- it’s Ocean’s 8, but way more serious, brooding, and it’s a much better take on the female heist movie.
BEST ANIMATED FILM
SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE
Tumblr media
This was a real surprise considering that we finally got The Incredibles 2 this year- but seriously, Spider-Verse really delivered upon the goods, and broke Sony’s curse of making some pretty mediocre superhero films. It has some brilliant comic-inspired animation, a perfect script, and so much more.
THEJACKSMIT.COM FILM OF THE YEAR 2018
The big one. Which film will follow Dunkirk, Arrival, Brooklyn and others into the history books? It has been an incredibly difficult decision, but the 2018 Film of the Year is...
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT
youtube
Now, because of the way the awards films are released, we haven’t had the proper contenders like The Favourite or Green Book here in the UK yet, which is a real shame. But in terms of what Chris McQuarrie did with Mission 6, there isn’t much to fault. Everything about this film was incredibly well thought out, and even with a slight injury to Tom Cruise, the film got finished on time, and it delivered upon the hype. I rewatched it earlier this week during the final deliberations, and it is just hard to believe that this is a 2 and a half hour film.
2019: Back to Basics
Tumblr media
And that just about does it for 2018 here on the blog- but as you’ve seen in December’s Journal and our little rebrand last week, there’s a few changes on the horizon. Guest writers, merch, podcasts, and 100% less bias to any cinema chain will become the norm over the next 12 months. And readers, you are a key part of it all. Keep your eyes peeled on the blog over the next few weeks for further announcements, because this is a bold new era for TheJackSmit.com. An era where we are all #BornIndependent.
