This Diary Is Not Yours
(Yandere!Doc x reader)
TW// Yandere behavior, manipulation, cussing in the narrative, death, rlly small mentions of vomit, small amount of blood
Tumblr media
9/04/XXXX
It's been a week since the friend of our feline hero sacrificed itself to open the blast doors over our city. Finally without Zurks and Sentinels to worry about, everyone is free to go wherever they want now. Not everyone wanted to leave the city, of course, for example, Momo was not yet ready to face the torment he faced the last time he went to the surface. But ignoring that, many were excited to visit the outside world, just as I was.
Everything was so green and healthy, no sign of human life and no sign of our cat friend. I've always been interested in technology, but I always thought vegetation would be interesting too.
So with that idea in mind, I stole earth and started making a sketch of what my plantation would look like close to home, who knows I might find another cat, so I can feed it with those vegetables!
9/09/XXXX
In beautiful 5 days, I managed to make a simple planting, managed to get water and find some lost seeds in abandoned places and started to plant.
Some funny thoughts popped into my head, am I a parent for plants too now? I feed, care for and love these plants, are they my children?
A horrible thought crossed my mind! If they were my children, I would have to feed them to animals and watch them being brutally devoured! I better not have strong feeling for these plants...
9/21/XXXX
A human! A human!
Many rumors have surfaced that a human is walking around Walled City 99! I can only imagine how confused this human is, surrounded by robots that don't speak the same language as them, poor human.
I mentioned this to my friends, so far none of them have seen anything but rumours. I also asked several people and only a small number of people(3 people as I recall) saw this human. According to them, the human had (H/L) (H/C) hair, their skin was (S/C), and was apparently (woman/man/androgynous).
I have a strange unexpected urge to try to look for this human, maybe I'll teach them our language and let them live in my house, and as a gift, I can feed them my vegetables
I told Seamus to check my vegetables daily and water them, after that I will be away for a long time, after all it shouldn't be that difficult, just walk and ask.
And of course, I'm taking my diary to write down my adventure
9/22/XXXX
I found the human!
I expected a longer adventure than just one day, but what matters now is that I found them. The human is called Y/N, and all the tips people gave me fit them perfectly.
They were clearly exhausted and confused with everything, they are so lost...
I noticed how scared they were, so the first thing I did was teach them the basics of my language. It took a few minutes but now they knows the basics like "Yes" "No" "She" "He" "They" "Me" and etc. Most of the time Y/N makes hand gestures, but they try to speak
At this very moment as I'm writing and walking, Y/N is firmly by my side and doesn't abandon me at all, I don't blame the human, I'm the only robot that actually tried to help them.
I hope Y/N lasts a long time...
9/28/XXXX
Everything is going great! I found some warm clothes for Y/N and a blanket for them. I'm so glad they liked the clothes I found.
Theres more, Y/N has been learning more and more words of my language, I'm glad to know that, I hope that in a few months Y/N will be able to speak for at least be able to socialize with others
I already introduced Y/N to my son Seamus and some of my friends like Clementine and Momo, unfortunately I couldn't bring them to Zbaltazar, I really wanted to see his reaction to a human, but i told him about Y/N, he said they seems like a really nice person. While for Clementine and Momo, they got along really well, especially with Momo, Y/N and Momo talk to each other a lot now.
What I fear the most is the fact that my vegetables aren't getting ready... I need to find a way to not let Y/N starve to death.
10/03/XXXX
Everything is going perfect! The vegetables have grown, Y/N is learning more and more of my language and is finally getting used to everything.
I feel that everything will work out in the future if I continue on this path.
2/10/XXXX
...
I fear I have to admit that I feel certain feelings for Y/N
Specifically romantic
I know this isn't the first time that a robot and a human have been in a romantic relationship, but even so, I feel a fear every time I think about the moment I have to confess to Y/N
It's been so
So long, since I saw a human like Y/N, someone extraordinary and admirable
[Scribbles and scribbles in the diary]
Words
Words can't describe how much I love Y/N, how amazing they are, I feel so much joy in helping them with food and a place to sleep. Maybe I like the feeling of someone depending on me? No... These are selfish thoughts, all I feel for Y/N is 100% love
I can't wait for the day where I'll finally be together with Y/N
Doing all of Y/N's hobbies together, trying Y/N's favorite foods, talking about Y/N's favorite topics, I've had a lot of time for myself, it's time for Y/N to have all my attetion. I would honestly do anything to make Y/N feel loved by me, caress Y/N's smooth skin, run my fingers through their hair, kiss their warm lips with my screen and whisper anything that makes them happy. Anything, anything to make them feel loved.
2/25/XXXX
I don't like how well Momo and Y/N get along, how they get along better than me and Y/N. And Momo knows how much I love and adore Y/N, and still, he does this to me
So I decided to return the favor he did for me for free
As I'm the person Y/N trusts the most since they set their foot in this city, I told them how "fake" and "manipulative" Momo really was, I hated lying to Y/N, but it will all be worth it
Momo clearly noticed Y/N stopping talking to him out of the blue, and when he found out about everything, i got shocked at how angry and aggressive Momo got with all of this, he even went so far as to push me. But all that would just be another lie I'll tell Y/N how "awful" Momo is
I lost a dear friend, but who cares? We're talking about Y/N here, so for them, I'd do anything
4/15/XXXX
They accepted
They accepted my feelings, after months of secretly admiring Y/N, leaving them only as my darkest desire for so many times, they finally accepted.
Y/N's lips are amazing, sometimes they're cold, and sometimes they're warm, other times moist and other times dry, it was wonderful. But the main thing, they touched me. They touched my waist, my shoulders, hands and neck. I never felt so well embraced by such delicate heat
I could write for hours and hours how good it was to feel Y/N's heat
6/12/XXXX
I believe Momo told my son all my situation with him, because Seamus is not talking to me much and seems uncomfortable with everything. But he seems to be ok with my love, at first it was weird for him to consider Y/N as a new parental figure, but over time he accepted it easily
But as long as I always wake up to see Y/N's delicate and beautiful face next to me, everything is more than perfect.
7/04/XXXX
GREAT, now Zbaltazar knows everything! Momo or Seamus, or maybe the two of them told him, I really need to do something about this before the three of them contain it for everyone until it gets to the Guardian.
The lie and manipulate plan isn't working anymore, I need to take this to a much higher point, I need to make a plan to eliminate them
7/05/XXXX
Elimination plan(Momo):
I'll have to be more than patient to eliminate Momo
I'll have to wait for Seamus and Y/N to leave the house for both of them to make sure I'm home, then I'll have to go to Momo's house hidden, I have to take a weapon, preferably, something too heavy for me to hit Momo on the head and already be dead, and then, coming home. Sounds simple, but is definitely going to be stressful.
8/07/XXXX
It was a success, I'm shaking I actually did it, but it was a success, Momo is dead, i killed him, if the Guardian starts doubting me I will definitely burn this diary and find another one.
I've decided that I have to wait a month to do another elimination for everyone to calm down and not get up too alert.
I want to save Seamus for last... He's my son, I'll have a little more hesitation with him
Elimination plan(Zbaltazar):
It'll be quick, I need to find a time where he's not meditating, and where he's alone too, that's all he needs to do, what I need to do is make sure no one saw me leaving, pick up a heavy stone, and find Zbaltazar. Zbaltazar has never been into a fight, he's not that agile, so if he tries to counterattack, it'll be a light punch like a feather
9/08/XXXX
Again, it was a success, several people at Antvillage were devastated by the great loss, and since I am a "friend" of Zbaltazar, I pretended to be too, and Y/N comforted me with hugs and kisses... I should pretend bad things happened to me more, I love to cuddle with them after all
Now it's Seamus' time, this is the death I'm being most hesitant to commit, but it's for a greater good he would never understand
Elimination plan(Seamus):
I will wait for Y/N to leave the house and go somewhere far away, they have a lot of friends, at one time or another they will go out to visit them. And in the meantime, I'll get a heavy object, it won't be the same rock, it has to be something else, and I'll use the gun on Seamus when he least expects it, I'll have to take the body to somewhere far away, some cave or something. And when Y/N will I say that Seamus left and that I don't know anything
Phew, I can't wait to pretend I'm devastated by his death and Y/N comfort me, like the perfect person they always was, and always will be
–––
You closed the diary in your hands, your heart felt like it was frozen, and at the same time, racing. Your skin was pale and your eyes shocked.
What. The. Fuck
The person you trusted all this time did all this?! Manipulated you dozens and dozens of times just to be with you?! And... And.... Momo and Zbaltazar... Even his own son! You have to stop this, you have to report to the Guardian, this is crazy, Doc must be sick! All this time you loved a crazy companion, this whole situation made you want to vomit.
You looked around you, paranoid about the place you are, to think that you ever felt comfortable in this place made you sick, to think that this place with those lights and this mattress on the floor was the place of your first kiss with Doc, that was the place you felt most safe. You left the mini room with the diary in hand and faced the hallways filled with shelves with an abundance of books. You quickened your pace to the nearest door with your heart almost out of your mouth, you put your hand on the doorknob and–
The door opened, and it wasn't you who opened it. And there he was, him
Instinctively, you tucked the journal behind your back, but the rest of your body felt paralyzed apart from your hands, which were shaking like an earthquake, and your lung, it seemed to be being clenched by fists.
"There you are, dear!" Doc exclaimed with a bag dangling from one of his arms. "Guess what I just harvested. I have a tip, it's one of your favorites!~" The bigger robot coos, this is the only time you genuinely didn't like the fact that Doc was slightly bigger than you. Now, it just made you uncomfortable and scared. And you could barely answer Doc, your tongue felt stuck and your vocal cords frozen
"O–Oh, u-u-uh... Erm, p-potatoes?" Your voice came out weak. You prayed that your stutters didn't make your situation obvious.
"Yep! Do you want baked potatoes for dinner?" Doc queried, closing the door behind him
"Uhm..." You forced a smile "Y-Yeah! Sure why not—" "Mm? What's that on your back, huh?"
Your blood froze, and you swear your heartbeat went to a thousand, shit.
You clutched tight to the hidden diary, begging that it would ease you more, but with Doc staring at you, you felt like you were being forced to fall off a cliff, and your feet were on the edge.
"Y/N? Dear? I don't want to scare you but your hands are shaking and they're pale..." The machine gently held your free hand, as if it were a fragile jewel. While for you it was like a knife to be pocking your hand "Is everything ok? Something happened? Look, you can tell me if you want..."
At that very moment, you were about to cry in terror, your chest kept going up and down, this is a nightmare, a nightmare
"I–I need to talk to the Guardian, Doc" You removed your hand from Doc's palm
"Ahm? Why? What happened Y/N? You can tell me." He placed his hands on the sides of your arms dropping the sack of potatoes on the floor "Why all this fear? It's not like I'm going to kill you, dear, I just want to help..."
Good wordplay Doc, now your whole body won't stop shaking, you have nowhere to run, if you run, he'll attack you, he killed your friends, he killed your friends, the person you trusted the most killed them, they don't exist anymore...
calm down calm your despair this is all not real it's a joke it's a joke it has to be a joke you've got to get out of here you've got to get out of here. YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THERE! NOW
Unable to do anything, you look at the floor, and you started to cry.
Doc's "heart" broke as he saw your tears run down in your soft cheeks, his screen showed nothing but sadness.
"Oh Y/N..." He tied two arms around you, giving you a warm hug "There there, calm down—" But, he felt something on your back, that "something" being the item you craved more than anything he doesn't find out you're hiding from him. Doc accomplished some things while hugging you, the item you were hiding, it looked thick as a book, you know, it even looked like a diary
"Is this my diary?"
Run
You pushed Doc against the door behind him with all your might with a loud bang, and without a second thought you ran into the maze of books. You know everything, that was the thing Doc least wanted to know about you. He placed a hand on his chest due to the pain of the push, and started running towards you, to have you in his arms once more.
Your plan was simple, make Doc run to you to leave the door undefended and use it to escape. It didn't matter how much your heart beat, how much your legs shook, how much you panted, you ran and ran and ran to not become another victim, you still couldn't process all the past events, As much as you're afraid of Doc now, you didn't want to believe it, you didn't want him to kill Momo, that he killed Zbaltazar, that he killed his own son to have you
You could hear his footsteps, thump thump thump. You entered a aisle of books, as you ran, for a brief moment you looked back, just to check that Momo wasn't there. He was
When you looked back, you only saw the floor and your whole body aching, you tripped over a pile of books in the hallway, but you don't care how much your nose, lips or teeth hurt, you don't care how much blood you drop, you need to run from Doc
You stand up with determination, you almost feel his hand on your shoulders again, and his footsteps are louder, Doc is definitely close to you. You ran on a path that led towards the same door that Doc came out of, by that time you already felt blood in your mouth, but you were close to your exit, your salvation, nothing mattered, you just needed to get out of there alive and with the diary and that's it.
You saw the door, your heart and lungs were blessed by a brief moment of hope, you readied your dominant hand and reached for the handle, one of your fingers felt the knob-
BAM!!!
Your eyes closed, and there was only black and a headache now. You were passed out by a hit on the head with a thick book, all this, done by Doc
–––
Your body is in a state you didn't want to leave, it was a bed, everything was so warm, no cold fingers or heart shock, everything was calm, perfect, no Doc, you were saved right?
You opened your eyes, only to find what you didn't want, you were in the same little room where it all started, the same mattress, the same lights, the same books, and his arms, Doc's, were hugging your waist
You went back to hell without end, your heart skipped silently, and you didn't move
Doc's head was wedged into the side of your neck and his legs were hugging your legs, if you were going to make any kind of sudden movement he would wake up
No. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. You don't have the patience for this, you HAVE to get out of here, you HAVE to get out of this kind of hell, this nightmare.
You lightly moved your hand to Doc's hand which was on your belly, you took his hand gently and–
You gasped in shock, feeling a pain in your wrist, it was Doc's hand, gripping your wrist tightly, making your body shudder in despair, begging for nothing to happen.
"Angel, I just want to let you know, I'm wide awake, and I'm not some kind of idiot" He laughed "You know you won't be able to stop me, just go back to sleep, my angel, you look very beautiful sleeping, by the way..."

tagged by @postwarlevi!!! i wanted to reblog but it got long so i'm making a new thread 😅
this is so cute 🥺🥺 any chance to talk about katvi i'll take it (✿◡‿◡)
1. who is the better cook?
him for sure, although neither of us are too big of a fan of cooking. i think he just tolerates it more than i do, although i do think there are some recipes he legitimately enjoys
2. who takes longer showers?
me. idk if its the adhd but i tend to forget how much time i spend in there and before i know it, he has to poke his head into the bathroom as a passive aggressive way of telling me that i stole all the hot water 😭
3. who is more organized?
him for sure. a point of contention with us is that i'm way too messy and it drives him through the roof. some boundaries had to be established and while it still makes him grumpy sometimes, he respects my space
4. who generally spends more money?
neither? technically me because if i get fixated on something, i'll tend to impulse shop but usually limit it to small-ish things or wait until they're on sale! he likes buying specialty teas and coffees and sometimes those can get kinda pricey, so i think we roughly break even
5. who likes sleeping in more?
hmm. i think this is difficult to answer because we both suffer from pretty bad insomnia. i think if it's who ends up sleeping in for longer, it's me. i'm the type that'll take like 4-5 hours to fall asleep but i can stay asleep once the sun rises (which is incredibly annoying) his insomnia is the type where he can get shut-eye for like 20 minutes at a time, which usually translates to him getting out of bed as soon as the sun starts to rise regardless of if he slept or not
6. who is the better driver?
im a passenger princess (✿◡‿◡) but also because driving gives me anxiety because i've gotten into accidents before, so he just does it for me, so it's levi for sure
7. who is the most stubborn?
hard to say. i think me. he usually gives in first because he gets way too irritated and is just like "whatever".
8. who is the most romantic?
neither 👁️👄👁️ at least not in the traditional sense. maybe me because i'm a sucker for romantic sunset walks (✿◡‿◡) but also him because sometimes he'll leave cute little notes around the house for me and it makes me melt (i have a little collection of them :3)
9. who is more laid back?
me. i think he's overall more extra or particular than i am. and this isn't in regards to him needing clean spaces. that's fine. i'm talking about the extra amount of work he constantly puts into every little thing, especially when it comes to house projects or even picking out toys for the cats. whereas i'm just kinda like...as long as it's not doing harm, convenience is king
10. who is more likely to ask for directions?
me. and it's a silly reason. like yes, i'm directionally confused a lot but i think levi would want to just. wander around and hope we get unlost and i'm not interested in doing that.
11. who is the blanket hog?
also me 😅 i get very fitful when my insomnia acts up, which usually translates into me wanting to hug something (why, you ask? no idea), whether it's him, a pillow, my plushie, or (in most cases), the blanket.
12. who is more likely to lose their phone?
him. he's technologically confused, which translates him to just not really using his phone unless he has to. it also means he's shit at answering texts on time >:(
13. who initiated the first kiss?
him because i was too shy 😅 i still thought it was some kind of joke as to why he was even interested in me, so i never really made a move.
14. who fell in love first?
hard to say. probably me since i was crushing on him forever, but he was the one that reached out and started stuff soooooo who knows
15. who planned the honeymoon?
him, mostly? he decided what we wanted to do. he was very extra about it, wanting to make it worth our money and get like the maximum amount of r&r with the least amount of stress, which i lowkey appreciated sm 😭 i was the one that did all the booking and reservations tho lol

The Culmination of Future Island Arc: Sanji, Nami, Franky - Part 1
(Posting this before another theory I've been writing because I wanted to talk about Egghead before the next chapter is released this week)
To the people who are following me, I’m sorry for the confusion, I’ve been reposting this a few times because it wasn't showing in the tag.
So, as I reread the Future Island Arc from the point where they met Bonney, I have noticed some interesting elements happening in the background of the manga that relate to Nami, Franky and Luffy (obviously), but mainly Sanji, that might culminate in something huge for their developments.
For the Strawhats (mainly Nami an Franky) those elements are:
Power of the Eternal Flame (Franky an Luffy)
The Iron Giant (Luffy)
Caribou's Whereabouts
Weapons that make light tangible (Nami, Franky, Usopp)
What did Zoro ask from Vegapunk?
Vegapunk Records and the Eggheead Incident
Unpredicted Allies
The Gorosei are not immune to poison
Vegapunk has technology to control the Weather (Nami)
However, after this list, my main focus here will be on Sanji’s role, the conclusion of the Arc itself and how Sanji will be important for it.
First I explain in detail all of the elements I’ve just listed that might involve the Straw Hats (especially Nami and Franky), next I will list the ones directly connected with Sanji, finally I will write a small theory of what I think Sanji's role could be... and what his eventual development might be.
Hope you like it!
STRAWHATS: FRANKY, NAMI, LUFFY AN THEIR ROLES
Power of the Eternal Flame
Tumblr media
One of Vegapunk's most important scientific goals is to create a powerful and eternal source of energy. The hints he left about the nature of this source could also be a hint as to who will be able to create this energy and, most importantly, who will be able to wake the Iron Giant.
We know that Vegapunk said that energy is actually all around us, just not very apparent, but there is potential everywhere we look. However, through Lilith, he stated that the power of FIRE can be converted into any kind of energy, which means fire is somewhat more efficient than other soucers (?). And then Lilith connects this eternal flame with the Sun.
This here already gives us a good list of characters that fit the description of the power source, mainly the fire "users" of One Piece - Luffy, Sanji and Sabo. My top pick, however, goes to Luffy, since it is mentioned that Vegapunk called this source a Sun and Luffi IS the Sun God Nika. Even so, I still think that Sanji and Sabo both have important elements in their stories that could also give them the possibility of creating the Eternal Flame. I still think it's Luffy, but I will be making another port detailing why Sabo and Sanji also have a chance.
The problem here is, I don't think that Luffy or the other two would be able to create the Eternal Flame and use it by themselves. Which is where I think Franky comes in.
Vegapunk has stated that there is potential energy everywhere, but it has to be tempered with before its "usable". Basically, I think that Franky, with his knowledge and experience, will use Luffy's Gear 5 raw power to create the Eternal Flame.
The Iron Giant
Tumblr media
In this arc, we learn A LOT of important information regarding the Ancient Kingdom, but the most important part is: most of the Strawhats know about it now.
So, the Ancient Kingdom was so advanced that, it still surpasses the present tehnology of One Piece (we can say that it's even more advanced than the ones in OUR universe). It's also very curious to note that Vegapunk connects this to something "alien" like ALONG with the concept of Devil Fruits.
Tumblr media
This could imply that the theories about the Ancient Kingdom coming from the Moon AND that it might have created the Devil Fruits could turn out to be true. (initially I wasn't a fan of those theories, but I think that there are a lot of hints as to it being the case).
Back to the Robot, I am 100% sure that it will play a huge role in the culmination of the Future Island Arc AND in helping the Straw Hats fight the Marines.
It's also important to note that the Giant Robot that appears in the beginning of the Arc is Vegapunk's attempt to copy the Iron Giant. So I think we should keep an eye on it as well.
Tumblr media
To end this topic, it is hinted that MAYBE, besides the Eternal Flame, the Iron Giant might also need some type of "voice" command to activate it (Vegapunk's Seraphins and Pacifistas also work in a similar fashion). The question is: whose voice does it have to be, and what does the voice have to say?
Also, we see that Vegapunk was working on the giant when Luffy, Chopper, Jimbei and Bonnie arrive (probably trying to understand how to make the Eternal Flame) and he comes out of the giant's chest - does this mean the energy source must be placed in the Robot's Heart to activate it?
Caribou's Whereabouts
Tumblr media
Okay, I know Caribou himself is... not well liked amongst the fandom and the Straw Hats themselves (with reason), but we have to remember that he has a very powerful and useful Devil Fruit ability that might be important as well (my bet is he will help transport and sneak something or someone important out of the island). And it seems he is slowly warning up to be a possible ally to the Straw Hats. I doubt he was able to escape the island since it is currently surrounded by the Navy, so he is probably hiding somewhere and will eventually bump into one of the Straw Hats.
Weapons that make light tangible
Tumblr media
So, Vegapunk (more precisely, through Atlas) has also been working on inventions that relate to light tangibility and manipulation (holograms). This is very interesting since the one and only Pika Pika no Mi user, Kizaru, is heading to Egghead as they speak.
This, to me, gives a huge hint as to who will face him.
Many have stated that Sanji or Zoro will: Zoro because, after Jay Garcia, Kizaru is the 2nd in command/strongest amongst the Marine Fleet, and Zoro usually faces those opponents in battle. Sanji because Kizaru has a similar feat to what Sanji is currently developing (lightspeed velocity). I do think that someone from the monster trio will, in fact, face him.
However, I also think that one of the other Straw Hats will assist in the fight because of the light-based weapons Atlas is developing. You see, through armament haki, it's possible to fight logia fruits users, so Atlas' weapons themselves would become redundant to an armament haki user. So I think that Nami, Usopp, or Chopper (or maybe, one of the Satelites) coul play a pivotal role in defeating/delaying/stopping Kizaru as well.
What did Zoro ask from Vegapunk?
Self explanatory. Some say it's because of a translation misunderstanding, but maybe Zoro asked for something that still might be pivotal in the future. (I'm really not sure, if someone knows the answer for this one already, let me know!)
Vegapunk Records and the Eggheead Incident
Vegapunk has been researching the Ancient Kingdom and the Void Century for quite a while, and he stated himself that everything he knows is stored in his head. I don't remember if it's in the same chapter, but to Luffy, he also stated how interested he is in sharing all thee information he gathered to the whole world and vice versa (a.k.a internet).
There is this theory made by an amazing Chanel in YouTube called Dawn & Dusk who theorizes that the Incident in Egghead that will shock the world has to do with the information of the Void Century and Kuma's memories becoming public to every person in the world through Vegapunk's powers/technology or Kuma's ability.
If this happens, it will cause an unprecedented shift in how the people see the World Government. Countries will certainly join the revolutionaries, riots may happen, and the Celestial Dragons, Gorosei, and Imu's authority will be threatened.
Unpredicted Allies
Tumblr media
Vegapunk has stated the Marines and World Government have good people.
These people might help the Revolution and\or the Straw Hats in the war to come, but also in this arc.
This is kinda obvious since one of the first characters who befriended Luffy was Koby, who late became a Marine BUT, in this case, I mean other Marines who might surprise not only the Straw Hats, but us, readers.
Who could they be? I have a theory, but it's far-fetched, and I might write about it in another post.
The Gorosei are not immune to poison
Tumblr media
This is just something I found that might also be relevant in the future. I don't know if Oda might bring up something from this small panel, but if he put it there, it's probably important.
So, basically, like every powerful leader who has a lot of enemies, Saint Jay Garcia has his food/drinks tested for poision before ingesting anything. So it's not far-fetched to imply that he and the rest of the Gorosei, as powerful as they can be, have a weakness that... is not that uncommon. I think it's most unlikely the Straw Hats could ever try to poison the Goroseis' food because of Sanji's strong policy about it (and let's be real, this is not their style lmao). BUT, there are characters out there who have poison manipulating powers - Reiju and Magelan - so they can play a major role in the future as well.
Vegapunk has technology to control the Weather
Tumblr media
Okay, this panel is one that excites me the most because Vegapunk has the technology to control the Weather of an ENTIRE ISLAND and I know someone who loves Weather and Navigation and needs another power up asap because she deserves it.
Yeah, that's right! Nami!
Can you imagine her controlling the weather of an entire island, being able to create cyclones, storms, and thunderstorms powerful enough to put down an entire army? I know she can, and I think Oda might have hinted that because of this colorspread.
Tumblr media
So, after Zoro became the King of Hell in the last arc... Maybe Nami will receive the title of Weather Queen in this arc? (This is wishful thinking, but I really couldn't wish more for Nami! She just deserves it so much!! And Franky too!! Please Oda-sensei!!)
So, this is the end of the first part. In the second part, I will show all the evidence that points specifically to what Sanji might come up with to help the Straw Hats and Vegapunk, the hints Oda left about his next power up and other things relating to him in this arc (and future arcs?)
I wanted to keep everything in only one post, but there's an image limit, and I like to use as many to support my theories.

changing my reading goal criteria from “books finished” to “books read to 20-25%” made me a much more adventurous reader, made me read more, and helped me understand what it is that I like the most in books. great decision, 10/10 would recommend DNFing if you constantly get stuck in reading slumps
so now i can say that, as of 2023, these are my reading preferences:
first and foremost - prose-forward, character driven, in any genre; i’ve realized that 9 times out of 10, if the book doesn’t have a distinct voice and complex language, i lose interest in it fast
in terms of genre - sci-fi, literary, horror, fantasy, in that order; 90% of what i read is either sci-fi or literary, or in between those two. i finish maybe 1 fantasy book a year, and most of the time it’s very light on the magical aspect (e.g. “Babel”). on the opposite side of that spectrum, i prefer sci-fi as heavily speculative as it gets, though not necessarily hard sci-fi/plausible stuff - i like it strange and far-away from our world, but with a clear science/technology “aesthetic” for lack of a better word
worldbuilding that is given to me like a puzzle - i have very low tolerance for direct infodumps unless it is written in a witty way or fits into an omnicient narrator structure (e.g. hithchikers guide has plenty of infodumps but they are also hilarious); i like to be thrown into the story and be confused about the world and have to assemle my understanding of it from scattered pieces
i need books to have clear themes, preferably philosophical or societal or existential - this is often the main criteria i use for deciding what book to read, and this is what i think when someone asks me what a book is about (e.g. “Leech” for me is about identity and utilitarian ethics and the importance of culture for our sense of self, the plot is less relevant)
i love everything experimental, in every aspect (style, narrative structure, world, etc) - the weirder the book, the more likely i am to stick with it
i am extremely picky about the voice and i never end up buying 95% of the books that sounded very appealing based on the blurb purely because i didn’t vibe with the style of writing
i cannot read anything that isn’t adult category with adult protagonists, which i suspect is mostly because of my own childhood trauma (i really have tried but i can’t get past the first 5% of any YA book,,,)
i vastly prefer books written from a marginalized (poc, queer, disabled, ND, etc) perspective
and finally, i am very much a mood reader and will sometimes drop books (temporarily or permanently) purely because i went out of the mood for the genre or the themes and it’s just not fun to read anymore
realizing all this makes me feel kinda bad because a) i feel like these are not typical reader preferences, especially e.g. being very into prose-forward books as someone who reads a ton of speculative fiction, or reading only in the adult category and b) because of how many great books i just cannot enjoy purely due to them being YA or not having a style i vibe with
i guess by extension this probably means my own books will never have a mainstream appeal... oh well, “fiction writer” is not a feasible full time job anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

While she was delighted that he would teach her, the continuous insinuation about her age was starting to get on the nerves of the fallen Destroyer. She already knows that she's old and she didn't need to be reminded of such.
Tumblr media
"How about we make a deal, you stop insinuating how old I am and I'll call you by your name. How's that sound?"
She would gladly make this kind of deal with anyone as it annoyed her thoroughly to be reminded of her age. If she was to be honest, immortality was both a blessing and a curse, more so the latter than the former some days.
Tumblr media
"Though I should be honest with you, mana doesn’t radiate from its users body like yours does by the sounds of it. As far as I'm aware, there is technology that can read it. So it's most likely my presence in and of itself that you're sensing. After not where Destroyer's and Creators are which is why you can sense Leviathan and his twin sister."
Either way, the Rift wasn't something she had access to anymore. After all, Okanara was erased it's Rift was erased as well.
Tumblr media
"Anywho, let's get going shall we? We have much to teach each other and here isn't the place to do it."
Tumblr media
Is it really that big of a deal for him to keep on saying that she is old? Especially, when she does not look like she is even 30 to begin with? He is not going to push his luck, though. The last thing he needs and wants is for her to get mad at him. If anything, he does not understand what is wrong with it. The Sadalian, women or men isn't concerned with something as trivial as this. The fact that a destroyer does is amusing, though.
Tumblr media
— Sure, I'll stop mentioning how old you are, and in exchange you'll start using my name instead of little one.
He is not going to say that calling him little one is more humiliating than anything. As long as she stops it, he is fine. At first, he was fine with it, but after a while. He started to get annoyed whenever she did just like she was getting feed up with being called old.
Though, the explanation about mana confuses him. It's not really making a difference as long as it is inside of their bodies. It still fits as life energy and that's the only reason he can sense her. If she were a machine, he would not be able to sense anything because machine are not technically alive. So, there is no life energy to pick up on.
— I'm unable to sense your presence, this is not how sensing energy works. But, if what you are saying is that you don't have mana in your body. Then, I should not be able to pick on anything, yet I can.
So, this technology will not be able to get a read on his power. Well, it's not like technology that can read ki manages to get a read on his power, anyway. It always says error whenever someone tries that, but when it happens. They know that he is strong.
— I think I know just the place.
He lifts the palm of his right toward the being of destruction and waits to see if she is going to take it. He is not sure if anyone knows who she actually is because they are seemingly particularly comfortable around her. Though, people here cannot sense life energy. He could not pick on divine energy until a year later after the tournament. A proof that his ability to sense ki had evolved, and feeling the energy of Champa was the same feeling of being pinned with hands choking the life out of him. It was an unpleasing event.

Maybe I've ranted about this before but I absolutely love Stede and Ed's kiss in episode 9. It's perfectly imperfect, as it should be. It's impulsive. Neither of them had planned it. Ed delivered his confession so openly and honestly. He was so nervous about how Stede would react that he couldn't even look at him as he said "I reckon what makes Ed happy is you." And then he saw Stede start to smile and fumble for words and he didn't want there to be any confusion about exactly what he meant and he just went for it. And Stede was so caught off guard and stunned that at first he froze. But then he started kissing Ed back. Tiny, exploratory kisses. You can almost see him asking himself "Is this real? Am I allowed to have this?" And Ed gets encouraged by Stede kissing him back and moves closer and pulls him closer and puts his hand on Stede's face and corrects the angle of the kiss and everything is just so tender and it just melts my heart and then neither of them know what to do with their hands after the kiss. It's just so perfect, especially for two older people who really have no frame of reference for how to kiss someone that they love (well, we know Stede doesn't, at least, we really don't know much about Ed's past minus the "dalliances" with Calico Jack.) Ed obviously has a bit more experience with men and but but we don't know the extent of how involved they were or if there were any actual feelings or if he faced any sort of rejection or was hurt when he put his heart into something only to find out that the other person was only having fun, so he may he afraid of all of that again as well as not wanting to scare Stede off if this isn't what Stede wanted or expected. It's utterly perfect and acted so well.

Ed's complete lack of reaction when Antoinette says "Well if you ever want to change careers, you can finger my dents anytime" is so telling. The rest of the room is screaming with laughter at how raunchy she has just been and he's like, chugging champagne. This man is gay-gay.

My #1 post of 2022
If/when you have children please let them (as soon as they're able) pick the theme of their birthday parties.
The girl who used to do my hair let her toddler pick the theme of her 3rd birthday and she chose Target. Like, the store. So everything was red and white and covered in bullseyes and I'm just so full of joy looking at the pictures on Facebook right now because it is obvious that this little girl is having the time of her life and that her parents put so much love and creativity into making the decorations and cupcakes.
Children will come up with some of the best and most fascinating ideas if you let them.

How I've Used My iPad to Boost Productivity
25 September 2022
A recent trend for students in high school and college is to buy new technology, such as new computers or tablets, to help them be better students. There are many benefits to using new technology, especially with the way that current technology is constantly getting better. It's been a couple months but I did end up going with the trend of getting a new iPad to use for school back in May of this year.
1. Textbook Notes
My textbook notes have gotten better over the past couple of months as I am now able to easily switch back and forth between the textbook I'm using and the notebook I'm writing in. Before I got my tablet, I was constantly confused about where I was in the textbook when I closed it and when I looked back after taking a single note from the actual textbook. With the tablet, I am able to automatically open my textbook to the page that I was last looking at, as well as mark exactly where I was in the reading before I either stopped reading or moved to take notes on what I just read.
Another benefit is that I am able to easily copy images between my textbook and my notes due to screenshots. I take the screenshot immediately from my textbook and format my notes around the screenshot instead of just making a random space that may or may not be able to fit a clear picture of the image from the textbook or a drawing of the picture that will probably just confuse me more.
2. Consolidation
One thing that my program in school has shown me that is important is that you need to be able to get to everything that you need as quickly as you can. This used to be a binder for me, but that took up a lot of space in my bags, was extremely heavy, and just wasn't that useful as classes started doing more things online.
My tablet has allowed me to put all of the information I have from a class into one singular place, whether it be an app, a digital folder, or just on the main screen of the tablet. I am able to find everything that I need in just a few taps rather than shuffling around randomly in a binder, folder, or book bag.
3. Documents
With my iPad, I have been able to take all of the documents that my teachers have given me online and actually use them. I am able to easily take the documents they gave me, download them, and annotate them as they go over the document in class, as opposed to when the teacher would just show us the document and talk about it, leaving the students to take weird notes about the document in general rather than the specific things that the teacher points out in class.
It also allows me to turn all of the paper documents into digital documents so that they can all be easily annotated and kept in the same place.
I am just trying to share my experience with getting a new iPad. I am not trying to tell you that you should absolutely no matter what get a tablet to help out with school or that getting this tablet is going to completely solve your problems as a procrastinator, but it has helped me a lot on getting to the path that I want to be on.
If you have an iPad, let me know how your tablet has helped you and how you use it to help you. And if you don't, let me know what kinds of things you do in your life that kind of match what I mentioned above.
I love hearing from you guys and I can't wait to see you guys achieve everything you want.

Blog 5 - Social Disease
This blog will focus on Unit 4, specifically the interpretive planning and social disease section. Dr. Kurt Hahn’s concern about the modern youth and “social diseases” was discussed through 6 steps. Although these “plagues” were developed in the 1930’s, I believe they are still prevalent in society today.
The first is a loss in fitness brought on by changing movement patterns. A great example of this is UberEATS and Skip the Dishes services. The convenience of just ordering a burger to your front doorstep makes going to a restaurant the extra effort.
Secondly, decrease in initiative and enterprise brought on by the prevalent “disease” known as spectatoritis. Social skills in my opinion are definitely something that the modern generation lacks. COVID-19 contributed greatly to this “disease”. Personally, I am a very introverted person and often find myself shying away from very social events. Although I will still attend such events, I would rather spectate.
Third is the decline of memory and imagination as a result of modern life’s confusing restlessness. The constant need to be on the go and actively keeping yourself occupied can be seen as a negative factor. Especially when it comes to mental health, I believe this can lead to exhaustion and burnout. From personal experience, I can vouch that although a jam-packed schedule can make your bank account grow, it is not necessarily helping you grow physically or mentally.
Fourth is the weakening of the tradition of workmanship, which is causing skill and care to decline. As mentioned previously, the fast-paced lives we are all living right now can take a toll on mental health. Not only are we not caring for ourselves but those who are burnt out or close to exhaustion are not performing at their full capacity. A perfect example is those who work in customer service. Being tired can lead to irritation, so in a situation where a customer requires patience and delicacy, the employee may lose their temper or treat the situation indifferently.
Fifth on the list is the decline in self-control brought on by the constant accessibility of tranquilizers and stimulants. This can be seen in many different perspectives. I will focus on the abuse of alcohol and drugs. As medications and technology has advanced so far, the constant need and requirements for the general public has also increased, whether this be supplements or nutraceuticals.
Lastly is the unseemly speed with which modern life is lived has caused compassion to decline. The fast-paced lives that we are all living has caused compassion in our lives to decrease and this is something you can see everyday. The friendly neighborhood help in winters when your car gets stuck or helping an elderly person with their groceries is something I really hope to see more of.
I would love to hear your thoughts on how/if these “social diseases” are still seen in society today!

🖤Blog Post #1
The research from Common Sense Media in the Pew research center reveals tendencies in information that we already know. The information that we already know is that social media and technology has a heavy influence on the development of children and how they are being influenced in today’s society. Along with that, adults are heavily influenced by their phones, and the way jobs are continuing to look as we move into the future are beginning to look different in the way that they are operating.
There are many positives to social media within teens and adults. Some of the positives are being able to receive real news through social media. Another positive for social media, especially for teens is being able to follow positive accounts that promote inspiration, growth, and self-improvement. When people do follow these accounts, it gives them a new breath of fresh air in education that you could need to move throughout your day. And the last positive on social media that I would like to talk about is brand equity in building. Social media has become a very big platform for businesses to market and show off products through influencers and various customers that participated in the brand.
Of course, the negative effects that we hear about social media is mainly FOMO, which is the “fear of missing out.” I feel like this is one of the biggest negatives because a lot of us connect to social media initially so that we can either fit in or that we can keep up with trends within the time that we are living in. Another negative effect of social media could be within neurological pathways that you have within your brain and that could be causing a reliant system within the feels like you need a hand on social media to continue to live throughout your life. Some other negative effects of social media that we typically hear about, or experience is isolation, or disconnection from genuine relationships. You can also type in depression and anxiety when it comes to social media due to the different types of experiences that you are feeling. Along with that you could deal with cyber bullying when it comes to social media.
Overall, there wasn’t much surprising to me with social media and the results that I found. Old is a blog My additional thoughts about social media are very clear and sometimes not clear. The reason why I say that is because social media is sometimes needed depending on where you work and the living situation that you're in. For me, I am typically not an advocate for social media, because social media has a tendency of showing the best in everything when in reality not everything is glamorous. I’m not saying that that is truly bad, but we are human and we tend to judge and overlook that not everything is going to be perfect. Not only that, people tend to get caught up in social media too often and confuse that with a lot of the real world.

As technology and digital become increasingly important enablers for business-model innovation and productivity improvement,  digital age has been considered as one of the greatest development in the world  Technology is changing how we think, talk and act. Digital technology has transformed the means through which human rights are both exercised and violated around the globe. Digital technology has transformed the means through which human rights are both exercised and violated around the globe. It's a 21st century skill that's imperative to almost every industry. But programming isn't just about communicating with a computer – it's also about learning how to think. It's time to get serious about improving your programming skills.Based on your skills and interests, it is important that you choose the language that best suits you.As you can see, careers that involve some programming, coding or scripting skills tend to come with above-average salaries.Take out time every week to explore new languages and technologies that are shaping the world.Learning programming languages is NOT learning how to program. I believe that the first step in learning any programming language is making sure that you understand how to learn. Focus on programming techniques, problem solving, and analytical skills It enables programmers to edit and create a variety of content. With time, one can improve their programming skills. A programming language provides a context into which the programmer must fit their thinking. Some languages provide better contexts than others.
Are You Confused About Choosing a Programming Language for your career?
When you decide to step up into a programming career, many questions strike through your mind, It doesn't matter if you ask silly questions and look stupid, it will help you in the long run. This million dollar question is very frequently asked to/by programmers. Most programmers have asked or thought this question at least once in their lifetime. If you are new in programming, first question comes in your mind is 'Where to start?' it's a geniune question. Demand and popularity of programming language are changing each year
But don't worry, I am suggesting, you should start with learning mainstream and well established programming languages.
The beginners can start learning Python programming language easily that covers all the basics. Before starting to work with the Python programming language, it is essential to know everything about it, Focus on Learning Programming Basics ... It is always suggested to make your fundamentals strong so as to be a pro coder. For a newbie programmer, learning logic to code is one of the most effective ways to gain confidence in coding. Python is always recommended if you're looking for an easy and even fun programming language to learn first, Undoubtedly, Python is one of the most-recommended programming languages for beginners, especially in recent times, Python is an extremely readable and versatile programming language.Python is an interpreted, object-oriented, high-level programming language with dynamic semantics that can be used for web development, operating systems, AI, machine learning, numerical computing, mobile applications, and game development. Another advantage of Python is that this powerful programming language can increase productivity. The Future Scope of a Python Developer is very bright The world is getting digitized. Python has become the core language as far as the success of these technologies is concerned.
The Average Python Developer Salary Based on the Region,As per PayScale, the average salary of a Python Developer is ₹427,293 for a fresher. It comes down to around ₹35,607 per month. The average salary for a Python developer in the USA is around $10,000 monthly. Qualified developers in Europe earn around €3,000 or €4,000 per month. Depends upon your experience and the type of company you are working in (product based or startups generally pay well). The future of Python is thus set in stone as the go-to language for developers engaging in deep machine learning projects, companies looking to scale up by using big data analytics or efforts aimed at achieving social applications of automation, Python has been in demand for web development, system administration, and software development. Plus, data science and machine learning are new fields that are actively being developed.

🦊Astrology Observations Pt.2🦊
Hello everyone! Am back with my second astrology observations post. I hope you enjoy it🧡 Also I recommend checking out the blog of @venusfun , her blog is really fun and informative. She's also my mentor in doing these astro notes🧡
⚠️Sidenote⚠️: Please take this with a grain of salt for not all of my personal observations will resonate you entirely.

🦊A well aspected Jupiter/Jupiter dominant can make someone look cute and chubby 💗
🦊While a well aspected Saturn/Saturn dominant tend to look tall and have mature features.
🦊I noticed that most Aquarius moons or risings are INTPs or ISTPs base on personality types (MBTI)
🦊Venus in the 9th House/Venus aspecting Jupiter or Uranus/Venus in Sagittarius/Venus in Aquarius can indicate someone who likes to try listening to other genres of music (Example: You always listen to pop music but you are curious about listening to heavy metal or jazz so you try them out and see if it fits your taste.)
🦊And they tend to enjoy listening to foreign music as well. (I have one of those placements and I love listening to Kpop lol and same goes for my friend who likes listening to Japanese/anime music)
🦊Your midheaven not only shows your public life, social standing, and destined career but also your representation which is why if your ascendant is how you see the world, your midheaven is how the world sees you.
🦊Gemini and Virgo moons are the most argumentive moon signs and they tend to love debating
🦊Speaking of Gemini and Virgo moons, they also are pretty much the most anxious or neurotic moon signs, maybe because of the mercury influence
🦊The degrees really play an important role to your natal charts, they can really influence you and affect your overall personality. (Example: I have my Scorpio sun in 5° and as we all know, Scorpios are known to be reserved, secretive, and mysterious but with that 5°(Leo degree) this makes me more open, sociable, and extraverted)
🦊Scorpio and Pisces risings have the most alluring and magnetic eyes
🦊12th house stellium(especially if it's in personal planets) in a composite chart can show that there are hidden agendas or issues in a relationship. There can be many problems with decision making where one wants something while the other is hiding their feelings of disagreement. This can indicate of having a lack of stating their true feelings because both partners are uncomfortable with it.
🦊Leo/Cancer/Pisces moons can go to the heights of self love to the depths of self hate. It's either they can go from being very confident and optimistic or very insecure and pessimistic. No in between 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️
🦊Aries moons are more sensitive than Cancer moons because cancer moons are more secured and protective with their emotions while Aries moons tend to be very expressive about it.
🦊Base on my experience, the two sister signs that don't always get along are Aquarius x Leo and Virgo x Pisces. Both Aquarius and Leos have very different values, Leo wants authority and rulership but Aquarius is against it due to them being humanistic and have this savior complex? While Virgo is the most human sign and is very down-to-earth which clashes Pisces' tendencies for living in another realm or feeling the outside world, more like fantasy vs reality.
🦊Air placements are so good at technology and networking.
🦊Air Sun/Moon 🤝 spamming in their group chats with random lyrics, foreign languages, or emojis when bored
🦊Geminis and Sagittarius can just be as indecisive as Libras, it's hard for them to choose and prefer to have their options open for more opportunity.
🦊We are under the age of Aquarius and you can really notice that this era consists of progressions, inventions, humanity, technological improvements, science, and rebellion against authority. (This is base on research only)
🦊Taurus/2nd House placements are really great at handling their finances. They are always careful with their money and can be really practical with it so they won't be wasting an amount of money with unecessary things, they have a strategy on how to balance it.
🦊But Neptune in the 2nd house may struggle when it comes to handling their financial terms. Please learn to prioritize your needs and wants so you won't be struggling 😭
🦊Venus in 2nd house do attract money easily and have no problems when it comes to financial issues but they have a tendency to overspend it. This can also resonate to both Libra and Leo Venusians.
🦊People who have their Pluto in the 1st house may experience hopelessness and confusion with themselves. They tend to be struggling with their inner self and personality. I have this placement 😔
🦊Scorpio is probably the only sign who experiences death and rebirth and tends to experience transformation constantly. This is the reason why Scorpio's final stage represents the Phoenix, we self-destruct and destroy ourselves then rise again stronger and better. (Applies to Scorpio Sun, Sun in 8H, Scorpio Moon, Moon in 8H, Scorpio Rising, Pluto in 1H, 8H and Scorpio Stellium)
🦊Having Aquarius in the 4th house can indicate that you are most likely the black sheep in your family.
🦊Virgo and Scorpio mercuries are very observant and speculative, they are like detectives. They know how to pick up clues and are good at researching🕵️‍♀️🕵️
🦊When provoked, Taurus/Capricorn Mars can go physical and it's very hard for them to be angered so when they are infuriated it's very unusual and frightening to see them like that. Virgo Mars are scary as well when they are vexed, but instead of going physical they are more prone to verbal fighting.
Btw my astro notes may include some relations to personality types, random zodiac theories, and some Kpop gifs for promotion and aesthetics lol but not always. This is my way of balancing all my interests out for good💃💃 Also thank you guys so much for the 100 followers, 🧡 I don't even know if I deserve this 😭

The boy who lived and the professor that didn’t (for the most part)
AO3
During Harry's second year at Hogwarts, a strange and unexpected man starts teaching his Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
(A Danny Phantom X Harry Potter crossover)
Chapter 1
Harry took a seat in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, glancing over to Ron who sat beside him and then scanning the classroom for their new DA professor. He already met the man in Diagon Alley, blonde and very much interested in only himself. Harry shivered as he remembered being pushed towards him as people took pictures of the famous wizard and the boy who lived.
At least it wasn’t worse than a head of the dark lord growing out of the back of the professor's neck.
Well- Harry did thumb through some of the textbooks before classes started. He absolutely agreed with Hermione who was very vocal about the books- they didn’t actually seem to teach anything. Just spoke about the ‘many adventures of Gilderoy Lockhart’.
Maybe this will just end up being an easy class.
The door slammed open 15 minutes past the start of class, startling the students as they swiveled their heads to look at the newcomer, expecting Gilderoy Lockhart.
Instead a tall man with a slim frame and hunched posture strode into the room. He had messy black hair pulled in a very horrible and tangled loose bun with the remaining dreads lazily dangling at the man's shoulders, his chin and cheeks covered in unshaven stubble. His robe was creased and torn, his hat loosely hanging from his hand and his sleeves pushed almost all the way up his arms. What really caught people’s attention was those eyes. Unnaturally clear and bright icy blue, so blue that even in the bright light they seemed to slightly glow.
He quickly pulled down his sleeves as he walked past the students towards the front of the room, grumbling slightly under his breath about something Harry couldn’t catch. He tossed the hat aside, muttering more loudly about how ‘wizard hats are so stupid and impractical I’m not wearing that garbage’ before he turned towards the class.
“My name is Fenton- er Professor Fenton I guess. Since I’ll be teaching you about…” he glanced down at the podium he stood in front of, crouching a little as if looking for something before straightening back up. “Defense… Against the… Dark… Arts,” he said slowly and not very confidently. Then he whispered again to himself but just loud enough for some students to pick up, “they see me fight one god damn ghost and suddenly I’m an expert on all dark magic entities? I think I’ll fight Dumbledore after this.” He straightened a little, eyes looking over the classes.
Harry did not like those eyes lingering on him for half a second longer than the others. He didn’t like this professor looking at him at all.
Something just didn’t feel right.
“Alright, any questions?”
A hand immediately went up, and Harry knew exactly who it belonged to.
“Uh- yes miss-?”
“Hermione Granger. Wasn’t our professor supposed to be Gilderoy Lockhart?”
“Yeah- that guy. He’s a phoney.”
The class went silent before someone yelled out, “WHAT?”
“Guy went around, found Wizards and Witches that did cool things, made them forget it then took all the credit. Tried to take my credit and I hit him a little too hard. Now I’m here taking his place. It’s all over the news, you know. You can read the exaggerated details in there. Anything else?”
The same hand went up.
Professor Fenton sighed, “yes?”
“Why were you 15 minutes late? Shouldn’t professors be on time? And why do you look like you crawled out of the forbidden forest.”
“I fought a ghost. Then got lost,” Fenton deadpanned.
The class went silent.
Fenton then turned around, “well if that’s all, let’s get started with something I know a lot about. What do you already know about Ghosts?”

“You’re seriously more afraid of Professor Fenton than Professor Snape?” Hermione asked Ron. “He’s not even mean! Sure he’s grumpy but he doesn’t beat down every question I ask him! He even seems to be glad I’m asking questions! Unlike Professor Snape who just treats us like idiots for not knowing something.”
“Sure- he’s not mean or cruel but… he just freaks me out. Like how he just stares sometimes at empty walls! Or how the room temperature always drops the moment he seems to take a single step into the room! I can’t even hear his footsteps when he walks! He’s bloody freaky is what he is!”
“Well I for one am glad he’s our Professor! Imagine having a phony for a professor! Though he talks a lot about ghosts. Ghosts can’t cause people harm. At most they give a little scare but it’s not like they could cause terrible damage.”
“What about those ectoplasm based ones he was talking about? The solid ones?” Harry asked.
“Rare and unlikely. Ectoplasm doesn’t form in the magical world, Harry! The stuff that leaks through and hangs in the air is only enough to allow ghosts like Nick or Myrtle to hang around in harmless ways.”
“But he said he fought a ghost before he arrived in class! And he looked really beat up!”
“He said he got lost too! Maybe he just stumbled across a guard dog like Fluffy and made up something about ghosts!”
“What if it’s like the last professor though? What if he’s looking for another secret object in Hogwarts walls?” Harry hissed softly, “Ron is right that he just has a sense of oddness about him! I just don’t trust him!”
“Harry, you’re just paranoid from last year. Professor Fenton is normal. Now pick up your pace, we’re going to be late for our next class!”

Professor Fenton glanced down at Harry, then back at Professor McGonagall, “he has what with me?”
“Detention. You see, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley caused a bit of a fuss by driving a flying car in plain sight of several muggles, and risked exposing the magical world. As such, his punishment has been detention. I trust you can find some fitting work for him to do as he reflects on his actions?”
Fenton crosses his arms, his mouth tightening slightly into a grimace as his fingers slightly tapped his own arms. “This won’t be every night, will it?” He asked.
“No, we will be switching supervisors for a few weeks but you may also need to supervise Mr. Weasley sometime before then.”
Fenron let out a sigh of defeat, “well- alright. I’ll take care of it then.”
Professor McGonagall gave a curt nod before turning stiffly and walking off. Professor Fenton scratched at the back of his neck as he watched her walk off, then glanced down at Harry, those eyes seeming to search him for… something. Then that stern look relaxed into a lopsided grin, “So you were the one that made that stuck up ministry trip over their hats and scramble around in blind panic! I say, hats off to you young Potter!” He laughed.
Harry blinked in confusion at the shift in mood, then Fenton patted him on the back, “hey, no need to look so freaked out! I’m not gonna bite ya!” He began walking forward, and it took Harry an extra second to realize that the professor was moving and he should follow. “Oh, wait you probably are a little freaked out, huh? I guess my mood could have been a bit better this morning, I was just a little flabbergasted today. I was kinda rushed into this position, you know.” He shrugged, his hands shoved into his cloak’s pockets. He didn’t really walk like any of the other Hogwarts professors. He had this relaxed saunter, like he was more of a visiting relative than a staff member. “Say, let’s say your ‘punishment’ will just be helping me bring some books from the library to my quarters. There’s a lot I need to run through and a single trip would make all the difference.”
Harry nodded, finding it hard to keep up with the man's long strides. “So… you don’t like the ministry of magic?” Harry asked.
Professor Fenton huffed in annoyance, “not one bit. They are almost worse than observants!” Harry had no idea what those were. Another level of magic government? “They try to control every little thing. Don’t expose magic to the normal world. Don’t use magic to make technology without permission. Don’t use magic to save muggle children if people are watching.” His said in a mocking tone, “they have so many rules that are outdated or stupid. Never trust a government, kid! Especially a magical one!”
“What are… observants?”
Fenton glanced down at Harry, “oh those stuck up jerks? They are like the government of the ghost realm. Really annoying. Unlike the Ministry of Magic, they actually know how to find me!” He laughed.
“Ghosts have governments?”
“Oh yeah! They have more of a monarchy, the observants are like hermit wizards that only step in when they believe the world is in peril. Meanwhile the rest falls on the shoulders of the Ghost King.”
Harry frowned, “I’ve never read about that in the textbooks. Hermione says that ghosts are just harmless beings formed from souls that aren’t ready to leave the mortal realm.”
“Well she’s half right. There’s different kinds of ghosts, like Sir Nicolas and the Bloody Baron. They are more like echoes. Souls that cling desperately to this world but didn’t have enough ectoplasm to become a fully solid ectoplasmic being. They won’t leave for the infinite realms until they are ready, though many believe they are trapped here forever. More solid ghosts form in a similar way but are exposed to more ectoplasm, but rarely show up because natural portals to the infinite realms are sparse and in between. Well until about a decade ago.”
“Infinite Realms? Natural Portals?” Harry felt like his head was going to explode.
“Well, there should be some books about that in the muggle section.. Though some wizards would say it’s all garbage because muggles discovered and studied it. Just look up my name under the author and you should find some.”
“Oh… wait- did you write them? Is that why you know so much about ghosts?”
Professor Fenton barked out a loud laugh, doubling over as he clutched his sides, “Ah! No! No, I didn’t write them! My parents did!” He cackled. “Ah, yeah but I did learn from them. And a bit of field work. Tell Miss Granger to check them out too, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind having something to read. She reminds me of my sister in that way.” He stopped in front of the library doors, “Aha! I knew we would find this place eventually!”
Harry looked at Professor Fenton in bewilderment, “you didn’t know where we were going?!”
Fenton shook his head and shot him another grin, “nope! I’ve been constantly getting lost in these dumb halls. This place constantly moves and I absolutely hate it. Even the Infinite Realms make more sense than this castle!”
Harry stuttered, “If the infinite realms is where ghosts go, isn’t that like… the afterlife? You’ve been to the afterlife?”
Professor Fenton lazily shrugged and opened the doors to the library, “yes and no. It’s all complicated. I’ll tell you a different time.”
Harry stood there for a few more seconds as his brain tried to catch up with the information, and once he managed to close his mouth he chased after the Professor.

Harry glanced around the Professors room as he followed after him, arms filled with books that seemed to suspiciously be only about the Dark Arts. He’d never been to a professor's living quarters, at most he had been in some offices. Even so, it was not at all what he imagined a wizard's living quarters would look like.
First off, there seemed to be technology. He recognized a coffee machine on a low table, but it wasn’t plugged into anything. There was an odd box that looked like a slightly smaller television, it’s screen black and wires sticking out of it attached to a rectangular box with a lot of buttons on top of it and a small round device. There was also a radio, and a huge telescope leaning out the largest window. As Harry looked, he began to notice spaceships literally in every corner of the room. Different kinds as well, some would even move and blast off. The most amazing part was the roof of his room. It was almost exactly like the great hall as it rose into dark nothingness, but the stars were MUCH brighter and all the constellations had been traced out, some brighter than others. For someone who knew a lot about ghosts, he seemed to really like space. Then there were also some odd things thrown around, like a very weird looking thermos. Or a metal… boomerang?
“Just place them over here, Harry!” Fenton called as he dropped his pile of books onto a couch in the corner. Harry did as he was told, placing the books down a little more gently than the professor did.
“Professor… how did you get these things to work? Technology usually… explodes around magic,” Harry asked.
“Oh! Well it’s because I power them myself!” Professor Fenton chirped. “They don’t work the same way as regular technology. Again, I recommend checking out some of the notes in the Fentons books, they have a lot of stuff that works in the magical realm.”
“Why would you need it though? Doesn’t magic make up for a lot of technology?” Harry asked.
“Ah, but that’s where you are wrong you see! There is nothing in the magical world that is equivalent to the coffee machine!”
Harry blinked, “... what.”
“It’s a very important machine, Harry. You will depend greatly on it once you need to stay up for an entire week. But! It seems our time together has come to an end. Thanks for your help, Harry, and if McGonagall asks, tell her I made you scrub toilets or something,” he winked.
Harry grinned back, heading towards the doorway to go find Ron and Hermione. He closed the door behind and the moment it clicked shut, he saw a flash appear from under the door.
He paused slightly, but shrugged. Maybe a comet passed by on the enchanted roof of his room. He then headed down the halls to find his friends.

“Not normally invited?” Harry asked.
Hermione nodded, “Ghosts throw death day parties like birthday parties, but rarely do they ever invite living people!”
“I see, so Sir Nick really wanted us to be there,” Harry pondered as the trio entered the party area. He immediately was hit with an awful stench, nearly gagging before he had to swallow it as Sir Nicholas noticed their arrival and approached swiftly with the widest smile they had ever seen on his face.
“Harry! Ron! Hermione! You all made it! Oh this brings such joy to my cold, dead heart!”
“Glad to see you as well, Sir Nick,” Harry struggled not to gag on the smell.
“Say, why do ghosts even celebrate the day they died? Isn’t that… like a very traumatic experience you would rather not remember?” Ron somehow managed to ask.
“Well, ghosts like to celebrate it to commodirate a start to a new chapter of our afterlife!” He paused, glancing across the room for a split second, “most ghosts that is, and the death day isn’t to remind us of our death. It more serves to encourage us to look forward! No one really wants to remember how we died. Never a pretty picture.”
Harry followed Nicholas’s gaze for the split second glance, then noticed a ghost he had never seen before. He ignored the smell (they would have to ask about that later) and nudged Hermione, pointing at the ghost, “hey Hermione, have you ever seen that ghost around the castle before? I don’t remember seeing him from last year…”
The ghost in question seemed so much stranger than the rest, he had a brighter glow, where he should have had legs, merged into what seemed to be a ghostly tail, drifting lazily like caught in a breeze. Long hair whiter than snow itself drifted around like caught underwater, and bits that weren’t drifting were braided neatly and lost in the rest of it as it constantly moved. The ghost had purple skin, pointed ears, green freckles dotting his cheeks and long sharp fangs showing as he laughed at another ghost's joke. He dressed like a medieval lord, wearing a delicately detailed black and white tunic tucked into a braided belt circling his waist, his ghostly tail completely black. Thick white leather gloves covered both his hands as he waved them around while he spoke. A white cape hung off his shoulders, but when the cape occasionally drifted to show the inside, it was like the ghost had taken the night sky and attached it to the garment. Thick fur wrapped around his shoulders and long and sharp horns that looked like ice circled his head like a crown.
Toxic green eyes that had irises that seemed to swirl around the pupil glanced at the trio and Harry suddenly felt very very small.
“I… don’t know. I haven’t even heard of any ghost that looked like him before,” Hermione seemed like she was at a loss, probably scouting through her thoughts and memories for any trace or mention of the unfamiliar ghost.
Sir Nicholas cut in, “oh! That may be because King Phantom doesn’t live in this castle! He’s mainly only here to visit for the year!”
Ron gapped, “... did you say… king? Was he a king before he died?”
Sir Nicholas frowned, “no, of course not! He’s the king of all ghosts! King of the infinite realms! The one who defeated Pariah Dark in single combat barely a year after he died! The youngest and most beloved king we ghosts have had in such a very long time.”
“There’s a king of ghosts? And that’s him?” Harry asked.
“That’s what I just said, my dear boy. Keep up!”
“I don’t want to seem rude, Sir Nicholas but… why is he here?” Hermione gasped, “if he really is such a powerful and imposing figure, doesn’t he have a lot of duties to fulfil?”
“Well, he told us he was technically here on business but that it requires time and an investigation that could take a few months. So he could visit and celebrate with us from time to time! He’s a very relaxed man, I assure you. Here let me introduce you all to him! My Liege! I have some friends you absolutely must meet!”
The King looked over and smiled widely, “friends, you say?” His voice echoed more than the other ghosts, seeming to carry across the room as he spoke. He then blinked in surprise and turned to Nick, “Sir Nicholas… you realize these three are still amongst the living?”
“Why of course! Harry is the Boy Who Lived! The first to survive the death spell!” Sir Nicholas said quite proudly.
The King drifted down towards the three, causing Ron to slightly flinch at his approach, his hands clasped together as worry seemed to etch on his face, “well, most ghosts don’t have a very good sense of smell or taste, right? Which is why we have all the rotting food out?”
“Yes?” Sir Nicholas still didn’t seem to catch on.
King Phantom held out his hand, producing clothing hanger clips made purely of ice, “The living can still very much smell and taste, and I don’t think it’s exactly the smell of roses and lavender.”
Sir Nicholas blinked, “oh. Oh! Oh Harry and friends, I apologize for forgetting such a detail!”
Harry, Ron and Hermione all graciously accept the clips, pinning them on their noses to escape the horrid smell. Then Hermione turned towards the Ghost King with a glint in her eyes, “wait- how did you do that? Ghosts aren’t this solid- and they definitely can’t use magic!”
Phantom chuckled, drifting back into the air as he pointed to the crown of ice horns on his head, “Well first off, I’m the king so I get some bonuses. As well as not all ghosts work the same. You should try listening to that Dark Arts professor of yours when he talks about ghosts. He’s quite knowledgeable about all things not living.”
“But- but years of documentation and research-!” Hermione tried to argue before the King tutted.
“Information is constantly changing and growing, something that seems pretty constant could change in seconds and turn your whole world upside down. Not to mention, many different types of ghosts like myself only became more common recently. Before, most of us were confined to the infinite realms, only ghosts like Sir Nicholas forming for many centuries and the different kinds rarely slipped out.”
“Well-, what changed?” Hermione challenged.
King Phantom sported a playful grin, “I d̶͙͉̓̓i̷̢̩̬̘̟̽ę̴̘̲̹̤͌̊d̸̢̳̞̄.”
He then turned and left the three on that note as he went to join other ghosts at the party.
“What does he mean by that?” Hermione huffed.
“He’s got an odd sense of humour, that’s for sure,” Sir Nicholas laughed.

Harry couldn’t stop his glare that shot towards Professor Snape as he accused Harry of petrifying Mrs. Norris and writing the bloody message that stained the wall. Before he could snap back at him that he did not do any of this, Professor Fenton seemed to almost step out of thin air to his defense.
“Mr. Potter was with me all night, he did not do this,” his voice laced with a chilling venom. Was he… lying for him?
Snape tilted his chin up, attempting to look down on Fenton who was no longer hunched, and instead stood tall at his full height. It was quite difficult to do as it turned out, Fenton towered over every other Professor in the area. “And who, pray tell, are you?” Snape seemed to almost spit.
A sinister grin spread across the tall Professor's features as he stepped in front of Harry, leaning menacingly over the shorter wizard and blocking his view of the student, “Professor Fenton, the professor of the Dark Arts. Accusing a second year of such a powerful spell isn’t a very wise take, now is it Professor Snape?” Fenton basically spat his name.
Snape glared back, “you would be surprised what Potter is capable of, especially the trouble he gets himself in.”
“How about you try not pinning the blame on a 12 year old child?”
“That is enough out of both of you,” Dumbledore stepped in. “We all know Harry was not responsible for this, as Professor Fenton’s defence is true. We have a healthy patch of mandrake roots that will cure Mrs. Norris of her petrification, and students will resume their classes while the professors investigate the issue. Now you three will return to your dorms for the rest of the night.”
Harry hesitated before he headed back towards the dorms, but didn’t fail to notice how Professor Fenton’s eyes flashed toxic green, or the wink sent in his direction.

Y/N's eyes wandered through the small room, from the small bed to the huge window, stopping at the small drawer underneath it, before finally stepping further in. The walls were dyed light blue and besides a big clock and a flat screen they were empty. There was nothing unusual with this room, nothing really striking and yet it still felt a little strange. She walked forwards and ripped the dark curtains away, opening the window to welcome the golden sunlight into the room, warming her skin. The air smelled different and even the birds chirped in another tune. It seemed as if this world was quieter than the other, less dangerous and more welcoming. For a moment Y/N was soaked into the moment and drifted off into her thoughts, as suddenly some cursing in the next room ripped the girl out of her thoughts. With an annoyed snarl, she rolled her eyes and let herself drop onto the small bed, trying to ignore the sounds that probably came from the grumpy former second in command. After all, he still did not like being taken from Neverland, as he found himself with Y/N in a new home in Storybrooke. He still did not fit in and fought with everything he had to integrate. The second in command was stubborn and feisty, hot-tempered and constantly in a bad mood. Felix had barely granted Y/N a smile since they came off the Island and after he was brought into Mary Margaret's and David Charmings flat, everything went worse. The lost boy usually locked himself up inside his room, stayed there until after dinner to grab himself the leftovers, before vanishing back behind the wooden door. He never seemed to understand the technology around him, not even trying to understand it, but getting angry instead if it did not work out like he had imagined it to.  Y/N on the other hand, found herself in a healthy relationship with her hosts real quick. They took it as their own responsibility to take both of them in, after Pan was defeated. Felix, because he was the most stubborn boy that would never find his peace in an orphanage and Y/N, because she was the only girl next to Wendy that lived with the lost boys. After all this time on the island, she found herself being close to Henry as well. The small, young boy was like a little brother to her, making the girl laugh and joining her whenever Mary Margaret would allow them to go out. She was a careful woman and even though she trusted Y/N, there was no reason for her not to be cautious. Also Y/N suspected Mary  not to act like granting the girl a privilege while Felix was still being guarded.
Another loud yell from behind those walls disturbed the girls' peaceful daydreams once more, so she grabbed the pillow and pressed it over her head to muffle all the sound, trying her best to ignore everything around. It was a day too pretty for this and Y/N only wanted to relax, but not a few minutes of delightful silence later, she heard a knock on the wooden door. Moving her body properly under the sheets, she faced the door and mumbled just loud enough,"Come in."
The door swung open and revealed the former second in command's worried face, his sweaty hair hung down his face and he breathed so loud that the girl could literally feel anger flooding in the room. The atmosphere turned immediately tense and the room seemed to shrink around her with each second passing. Y/N held her breath and raised one eyebrow in confusion, trying her best to hide her insecurities behind a questioning look, as the lanky, blonde boy's eyes pierced her urgently.
"Where is the little rat?" Felix spoke in a hoarse tone.
"The ra-" She started confused. "Oh."
Henry.
"He took my cloak." Felix raged. "Where is the bastard, so I can smite him!"
"It's in the laundry." Y/N interrupted him before Felix would even try to hurt Henry and give him the fault for her doings. She found it in the bathroom and washed it along with the other laundry. The girl's voice was almost inaudible, well knowing the boy's temper from all the countless encounters with the other lost boys. Felix's eyes twitched and he gritted his teeth as he slowly came closer, one step after another, to close the distance that kept her away from him, the only distance that gave the girl at least a little bit of comfort. Henry could be glad to have to spend the time with the grumpy lost boy on weekends only. How much she envied him.
"What?" He snarled with his face just a few centimeters away from hers and for a moment her mind went blank, the only impulse she felt was to storm out of the room. As she crashed to the door, Y/N did not even bother to look back and swiftly grabbed her shoes and keys before leaving the apartment.  The door swung shut with a loud crash that echoed through every room as Felix swayed back in his own room, every cell inside him questioning why his heart felt so heavy. Y/N was not even sure if the lanky boy bothered to chase after her and if her actions seemed a little exaggerated, but when Felix built himself up in front of her, the girl's heart sank into the bottom of her body and fear overtook her mind. The former lost boy had been cruel to other boys for less than that.
She did not stay out for long, simply walked around the block to get some fresh air and to get some space from the tall boy. Also, because she knew that Mary would be mad if she was not home when the woman returned. The first week did not start well and Y/N let out a frustrated sight as she thought of the future. Mary and David left her alone with him half of the day, having the boy locked up in his room was not consoling though, the fact alone that he was present was enough to make her feel nervous. When she returned to the apartment, Felix was nowhere in sight, so she quickly snuck back into her room, hoping that he would leave her alone for the rest of the day. On the other hand, she had to make sure that he would not hurt Henry, the poor boy did nothing wrong. For a moment Y/N hesitated until she decided to get Felix's cloak from the washing line on the balcony. Not a surprise that the asshole did not know it was there, when he never left his room. Still, the girl felt a little curious when she thought of what he might do all day by himself- especially with no understanding of technology. Was he not bored? There was no convincing answer that she could think of and Y/N wondered if she would find out as she strutted with the big cloak in her hands towards Felix's room. She  knocked at the door and immediately regretted it after the previous events. Nevertheless she tried to be brave and push her fear aside, telling herself that the former second in command was not threatening at all.
She knocked again when nothing happened and suddenly some angry footsteps stomped into her direction-, firm and loud, before the tall boy ripped the door wide open, revealing his furious face.
"What the fuck do you want?" Felix growled, the veins of his neck throbbing and his hands pressed so tightly into fists that his knuckles turned white.
"I-...eh." Y/N stammered nervously and tightened her grip onto the cloak. Her eyes widened as she thought, He would not hurt me, would he? "I have your-"
"Keep that!" Felix interrupted her, his words were like poison.
Felix slammed the door shut before  the girl could say another  word, leaving her in the dark hallway with an unsettling feeling inside her guts that something was wrong. But how could she even tell what? Felix never spoke to her that much and it was pretty obvious that he would not do more in the future. All Y/N knew was that the grumpy boy missed the island and that he missed Pan, even though the girl never understood his obedience to the green devil. Peter Pan was manipulative and evil and she was glad he never left Neverland alive. Felix couldn't give her the fault for his loss, she had never helped the heroes and even refused as the only one next to him to say a word. Well, Y/N opened up quicker and befriended the "heroes" after everything they did. It was a saint if she could speak freely about it. The cloak must mean a lot to Felix, or else he would never be this angry, even for a boy who had a tendency to violence-, he never hurt Y/N before. She really hoped he would take it back and overcome his rage. The idea that Felix might only looked for a reason to hate Henry more occured her a few minutes later, but it was an unspoken thought that seemed to be way too assumptious.
"I am sorry about Peter." She moved her forehead onto the wooden door, resting it there for a bit and after a while she watched a single tear drop down onto the ground. Peter was not completely evil, not to Y/N at least and deep inside he was a loss to her as well. There was a short time where Felix seemed to be nice too, back on Neverland just weeks before Peter got defeated. He had shown the girl a flower field and tickled her until some boy's would crossy their way and disturb that lovely moment. It was the first and only time he had ever been close in a comforting way. Since then, Y/N had always hoped to see the boy underneath this rusty shell, but it was all gone since the second he stepped off the boat.
The door stayed closed and she stared at Felix's cloak, wondering what to do with it. When Y/N returned to her own room and snuck underneath the covers, the cloak was still under her arm. It did not smell like Felix anymore. The ticking of the clock was the only sound filling the room, capturing the girl's eyes to check the time- six pm. It was late, almost time for Mary Margaret to come back from work and cook some dinner, and when it was time for Y/N to sleep, David would come home too and Emma would come tomorrow, to bring Henry over for the weekend. Y/N barely saw David. He was always busy with his work in the police station and would get home late in the night. He left Felix and her up to Mary and Emma, which was definitely a hard task thinking of the rebellious boy next to Y/N's room. The man could not stand the former lost boy, the girl had seen it in his eyes when Emma brought her onto the ship, back then,  from escaping Neverland. Felix's emotions seemed mutual and everyone around could sense it. That both of them were separated most of the time, was not so bad after all. Mary Margarett even tried to take it as an opportunity to get to know more about the former lost boy, but all her attempts failed. The boy kept shut, would not reveal his past and barely replied to any of the woman’s actions. It was tiring to watch, quite a show though. It seemed like a boring game of charade, in which Mary kept asking him countless questions and then tried to interpret his annoyed growls as he ate some cereal. Breakfast was a strict rule for him to join and dinner to avoid.
Y/N rolled over and grabbed her phone, turning some music on to change her thoughts and kill the silence. Even though it was so early, she felt how her eyelids were getting heavy, how she slowly drifted off into sleep, using the cloak as a pillow. Throwing it away was not an option for her, there could always come a time where the former lost boy would demand it back.
It felt like a whole night when the girl woke up from a strange feeling of someone pulling on something underneath her. Out of reflex, she tightened the grip on the cloak in her arms. The pulling got stronger and when she realised that this was not a dream, she slowly opened her tired eyes.
"I changed my mind." Felix scoffed. "I want it back."
With a mind still dizzy and drunk from sleep, Y/N's sight was still so blurry, that it was hard to catch up and she needed a moment to follow the lost boy's words. He obviously meant the cloak, but why did he make such a fuss about it when he did not want it in the first place?
"Y/N?" He pronounced her name so carefully when he realised her eyes were closing again. She did not respond.
The sound of Felix's knees hitting the floor startled the girl out of sleep, finding herself sitting bolt upright in bed, pressing the cloak with widened eyes tightly against her chest. He let out an amused chuckle, grinning from ear to ear. Being fully awake now, Y/N realised why the tall boy was here and she slowly reached her hand forward, handing the boy his cloak over. What the hell did he do in the middle of the night inside her room? Why could this not wait? Her eyes wandered to her phone on the small nightstand-, it was eight pm and winter. It caused the girl to genuinely laugh to herself.
"Sorry for washing it." She whispered meek, avoiding Felix's gaze and dropped her head back onto the pillow before turning  away from him to close her eyes.
"It's all right." With that Felix quickly made his way back to his own room, the door closing so quick as if he had run.
The next day he kept quiet, did not say a word at breakfast, not even a snarky comment towards Henry who was constantly talking about one of his favourite movies and its heroes. The word 'hero' usually was enough to make the former lost boy explode. Not this time. His steel like eyes were glued onto his bowl as he ate in silence. Later he would sit in the living room, watching some TV that Henry forgot to turn off and would not even complain when Y/N joined and switched the channel. For a moment she felt his eyes burning on her skin. When she met his gaze, the former lost boy rose to his feet and walked away, slamming his door to confirm he was in his room now. Felix was strange and not the friendliest boy for sure. Still, Y/N had the feeling that there was more behind his behaviour that he would let her on and that he exaggerated an act. Mary would give her some tasks over the time like getting the groceries, which she would really appreciate doing, since it was a great way to get out. Y/N and Felix were no prisoners of course and the cold of the thick snow creeping in from the outside would keep her under her covers anyway. There never has been snow on Neverland. It was entirely strange and yet so familiar, waking a nostalgic feeling inside the girl. When Y/N found her way to the grocery store, there was no one to harm her and she had all the time she needed to wander through the different Isles and shove anything she liked into the shopping cart. There were no lost boys with spears and torches, that would hunt the girl down until her feet would bleed. No Pan that played his dangerous, manipulative games, that only entertained him in a twisted, sadistic way,  satisfying him, that it could already be a kink.
It was freedom.
The good snacks from the store disappeared immediately inside the drawer, keeping it safe from Henry or Felix. Both had the tendency to steal Y/N's food. She would often cook for herself, learning new skills since there was nothing else to do anyways. As soon as Mary returned, the girl hoped she would bring some more groceries, but she got disappointed. The snow held her off too long, the mood to go into the supermarket was simply gone and Y/N could understand that.
"You can go with Henry." She smiled and grabbed herself something to drink from the fridge.
"When will he be here?" Y/N asked, raising an eyebrow as she waited for an answer. The short haired woman slowly turned around, her face seemed to be frozen in an unbelieving, perplexed and slightly fearing frown.
"Isn't he here alr-" She stopped and both of their heads shot into the same direction when a key was put inside the front lock, turning and unlocking the door. The girl expected the young boy to get home, instead, Emma stormed into the apartment, shortly followed by David and the girl already saw on their faces that something was wrong. Mary let go of what she was doing and closed the distance between them with quite some concern on her face.
"They took Henry!" Emma bursted out, her eyes searching the room as if her son could just hide somewhere and would just magically appear any moment. She looked full of hope. David gently rubbed her back and told Mary to get her things. They always seemed to find trouble and now Y/N finally understood what Felix meant, when he once claimed that their hero being was only a facade and they were the true danger. Were they? Henry was gone and that was because he was so important to these women.
"Who took him?" Y/N asked worriedly.
"Stay out of this, you are not a part of this." Emma ignored the question and  gently shoved the former lost girl out of her way to get her keys. She ripped the door wide open and jumped down the hallway without bothering to close it, expecting the others to follow quickly.
"We will get Henry back." Mary turned to Y/N, trying to comfort her by holding her hands. "You don't have to worry."
It was not the young boy she worried about and the short haired woman knew that. With a quick glance back to Felix's closed door, Y/N gulped and immediately shook her head.
"I can come with you!" She protested at the thought of being all alone with the former second in command.
"No," Mary said and sighted. "I need you here."
Her gaze wandered off to Felix's door again and her look grew frustrated. Y/N followed with her eyes and nodded before facing the short haired woman again. She turned to the counter and grabbed her purse to pull out her wallet.  Then she collected all the money she had and put it in a sugar box inside the shelf.
"I trust you enough." Her words meant a lot. "Besides, once in a while Regina will check up on you two."
With that, Mary Margaret turned around and gave David a final nod, before both of them left the apartment to join their daughter in the car. As soon as Y/N closed the door behind them, everything went into an uncomfortable silence. There was no single sound instead of the unbearable striking of the clock hanging on the kitchen wall.
"Great." Y/N moaned quietly. At least they could have told her who took Henry and for what possible reason. The adults would always seem to know better and in this case they decided it would be better to keep Felix and her out of this. Did they really want to leave her out of it, or was Y/N just not to be trusted? Felix would easily try to convince her about that. The former lost boy probably would not  care  at all. It was smart of Mary Margaret to hide some money for Y/N. The fridge was almost empty and she wondered how long they would be away and when she would need food. There was nothing good inside it, nothing appealing, so  Y/N closed the door and strutted back to her room. Dropping into the sheets, she grabbed the remote next to her pillow and turned on the TV. Henry had shown her how to use it real quick as he often joined the girl to play video games. All those years living here and using all these things caused him to always be smarter and it was the first thing Y/N noticed that Felix disliked about him. At the end, there were countless things the scarred up boy hated, but Henry was always the center of his anger.
With the time passing by, the rumbling in the girl's stomach got louder until her tummy literally screamed for something to eat. Back in the kitchen, there was still nothing  appealing and with a quick glance to Felix's wooden door, she wondered if the former lost boy would like to eat something too. Each step further towards his room felt more heavy and Y/N's stomach turned inside out. The moment her knuckles knocked against the cool wood, she questioned why she even tried to be nice and get along with him. The floor was cold, maybe she should have put on some socks or turned on the heater. There was no sound on the other side of the wood and Y/N started to wonder if Felix was even home, when suddenly some heavy footsteps slowly strutted closer. Felix swayed the door wide open and rubbed his tired eyes, then rested his heavy head on the doorframe. He only wore some grey sweatpants, revealing his scars on his pale chest. The air around the girl thickened and her body heated up at the sight of his messy, sweaty morning hair.
"Sorry." She mumbled and avoided looking at him. His presence alone caused shivers to run down her spine. "Did I wake you?"
"M-hm." Felix grumbled tiredly, fighting to keep his eyes open. Y/N's eyes wandered back to the open kitchen and its clock. It was four o'clock.
"Are you hungry?"
The tall boy remained silent for a moment, his dull eyes staring at the girl as if he did not understand the question, turned to look at his bed, then slightly nodded with his head as if it was the hardest thing to do.
"I could eat." He spoke with a deep, raspy voice, laying his focus back onto Y/N. Fuck, he sounded so hot, it caught her off guard and left her unable to speak for a glimpse moment.
"I am ordering food." She said after a small moment. "What would you like?"
Felix pressed his brows together, then lifted one in confusion. "How does that work?" He asked and Y/N chuckled in amusement, feeling how her stiffened limbs relaxed.
"You choose a restaurant and then decide what you want to eat." She explained and showed the blonde boy her phone. "They deliver it and you pay."'
"Ah."
Y/N were not sure if Felix was not understanding it, or simply did not like it. He brought his hands up to his arms and rubbed the scarred skin, feeling how cold it was and finally bothered to put on a T-shirt. If Y/N were honest with herself, she liked Felix's exposed back. Muscles danced under tender flesh, as arms stretched upon the ceiling, forward and crooked together, pulling the cotton over his chest. Back on Neverland, Felix always seemed to be violent and rough, harsh to others and never in a good mood. There has not changed much, yet the dangerous, threatening touch was missing since he came to Storybrooke with Y/N. He was bent to new rules now.
"Pizza." Felix said and stepped closer, closing the distance and bent down to take a glimpse of the menu. "Do they have some?"
Y/N's skin started to prickle when she felt his breath against her cheek and immediately froze in place. Why was he so close?
"You know Pizza?" She asked unsure, still a little curious. Felix smirked and let out a husky chuckle. "Sure I do."
He walked past her into the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water, gulped it down, filled another one, gulped it down, but when he repeated that for a third time, the second in command could not finish it and disposed of the remains in the sink.  He turned around to check the time and widened his eyes as he realised how late it already was.
"The days are dark during winter." The boy mentioned with a side-along gaze, as if he knew that she might have criticised him for sleeping that long. Y/N did not know how to respond, but was confident enough to join the tall boy in the kitchen, pulling the chair back and taking a seat at the table. Both of them did not say a word and with each second passing in silence, she regretted sitting there with him even more.
"Why did you run from me earlier?" The question caught her off guard, she needed a moment to think for the right answer. The girl tilted her head in Felix's direction, his eyebrows were lifted up in a questioning look and he leaned at the counter, waiting for the girl to open her mouth and speak.  He was just curious, not too gruff nor angry.
"You scare me sometimes." Y/N admitted. "It's like being back in Neverland."
The former lost boy nodded disappointed and shifted his gaze out of the window to hide half of his features as if she would ever be able to read them.
"You really did not like the Island." The boy stated, receiving a light nod as an answer. "Was it so bad?"
"There were no toilets."
Felix could not help but chuckle, a warm genuine smile spread over his face and he nodded his head in agreement when he faced her again.
"Toilets sure are great." He laughed. "Or warm running water."
Felix pushed himself away from the counter and slendered over to the girl, taking a seat on the chair in front of her. "It took me three days to find out how that works, by the way." He added after a small pause. Y/N could only shake her head in response and give him a brief smile. "Must have been cold."
The tall boy agreed in silence and crossed his arms in front of his chest, waiting for the food to arrive. He would disappear for a while to go to the bathroom, giving her some space to clear her mind. All she could think about was how beautiful the former second in command looked when he smiled, making her nervous the longer he stayed with her. For a moment, it seemed like he was another person when she was all alone with him.
"Where are the others?" Felix asked when he returned from the bathroom, pulling the chair around to straddle it.
"Someone took Henry." Y/N admitted low, not even wanting him to know that, well aware that he would only mock this situation, probably having expected such a thing sooner or later.
"Hm.’' Felix let out an amused chuckle and gave her a winning smirk, one that said,"Told you so!"
"We're on our own for a while." The girl said, checking her phone for a message from the delivery guy. Not long. Almost here. How the time had passed by.
"I am  fucking happy they are gone." Felix snorted and rolled his eyes."They were such a pain in the ass."
At least they gave him a home and clothes, food and no worries about his current life. That was something and even though Y/N knew how beautiful the Island could be, the former lost boy had not been safe there. None of them were. How could he still be so blinded after all? Y/N wanted to respond but decided to keep her mouth shut. Right at that moment the doorbell rang. Shifting from her seat, Y/N strutted over to the door and opened it, waiting a few moments for the delivery guy to get up the stairs and hand her the Pizza. She pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket and handed it over to the man before closing the door. The boxes felt hot on her cool hands and the smell of fat, cheese and pepperoni filled the room, making the girl realise how hungry she actually was. Felix's stomach started to rumble when she started to cut her Pizza, so she assumed he did not have any breakfast either. For a moment the girl really enjoyed the boy's company and hoped he would stay longer, but she was also sure that he would take his food and vanish as quickly as he used to do. Yet, Felix never ceased to amaze her. He waited in silence until she was done cutting, then he took the knife and in that moment her fingers touched his, she felt  a quick, electric sensation followed by butterflies rumbling in her stomach. Taking the Pizza, she quickly strutted into the direction of your room to hide her sudden joy, just to be stopped by Felix calling her name.
"Where are you going?"
"Into my room?" Y/N gave confused back ,wondering why he would want her to accompany him all of the sudden.
"Oh- I thought…" Felix sounded disappointed.
"Oh…" Her eyes widened and maybe she sounded a bit too harsh. "I thought you wouldn't want-"
"Nevermind." Felix barked harshly and swiftly vanished behind his own door, not even giving the girl a chance to say another word. Damn, this boy was so sensitive, his mood was constantly switching and Y/N wished to find out why he was always  so pessimistic about everything. Not now, she thought, not now. First she would eat, then she would take care of that matter.
The boy let out an annoyed sight when he opened his door after Y/N knocked not long after she finished eating. Felix was eating the last slice of his pizza and held the empty box in his other hand.
"Why are you always coming to me?" He snarled.
"I just care about you! For god’s sake! You act so fucking mean since we came here and I wonder why." She raised her voice and knitted her eyebrows together in a serious manner
"Please don't do this." Felix moaned theoretically. "Please don't act as if you cared!"
Felix swiftly turned around and threw the empty box of Pizza aside. His fast movements caused her to flinch a little, but still she managed to remain calm.
"You don't care!" He snarled. "Nobody cares. Just leave me alone."
The tall boy did not need to turn around and give her a final glare, he made it clear that she was not wanted and no matter how much he needed her help, she respected his wishes. Y/N had really no thought to waste about him when she went straight into the bathroom to take a bath that might cool her nerves. That fucking audacity and this childish behaviour, as if Felix really meant what he was saying. They both knew he was not serious and that he was simply lying to himself about his emotions. There was no place for love in his heart after being manipulated by Pan for so long, nor  for friendship. Y/N did not care what the former second in command told himself about their friendship, it all has been a lie and a game for Pan, something to entertain him. It was worthless. His loss meant nothing, still Y/N cared how Felix felt about the betrayal of every former boy.
While she stripped off her clothes, the girl waited for the bathtub to be filled with hot water and bubbles, a metaphorical way to clean her thoughts when diving in. She should rather think about helping someone out and earn some money, so she could afford buying her own things. She splashed the water with her fingers and slowly sank deeper into the bathtub to enjoy the silence. The hot steam filled the room and when her thoughts drove off to something pleasantly, she almost forgot the time. Back in Neverland there was nothing to worry about time, the days were almost all the same and no one was there to rush someone. Things have barely changed in Storybrooke, since there was nothing to do for Y/N and the lanky lost boy, so they needed to find something to kill the time.
It had been an eternity since the girl had taken a proper bath and maybe it was time to get out, but the hot water remained too tempting for her to step out. With a deep breath she closed her eyes and leaned back, as suddenly a door slammed shut, immediately telling her that Felix was leaving his room again. His slow footsteps definitely made their way towards the bathroom and Y/N realised that she did not lock the door. She did not really forget to lock the door, right? The girl could not recall it and to get out of the water, to check was too late, as she watched agonised how the door handle went down and the door swung wide open, causing her heart to skip a beat. The tall lost boy did not seem to notice her at first, but as soon as he entered the steamy room, Felix froze in place. His eyes widened and his face turned blank. For a long moment, they both stared at each other and Y/N felt relieved that she was at least covered by a thick foam of bubbles.
"Fuck, sorry...I-" Felix stuttered through half open lips, as if the little sight of a girl's skin was enough to steal his voice. It gave Y/N her confidence back.
"I didn't mean to-" the boy still couldn't open his mouth while his gaze burned holes through her. It took him a moment, but suddenly Felix shook his head to ban whatever he was thinking about and shifted his eyes away, then turned on his heels to swiftly leave the bathroom.
At least he could have closed the door, Y/N thought as she sunk deeper into the water in embarrassment. Fuck, how in the hell could she forget to close the door? At least he did not see anything, or did he? The whole situation left her frozen in place, unable to think clearly. Y/N did not even dare to step out of the water to close the door, so she just sat there, trying her best to calm down. After a while, the skin of her fingertips were already wrinkled up, leaving a rough touch on her softened skin and she finally thought about getting out of the bathtub. A long time  had passed, since Felix stepped into the bath and now the water was starting to get cold. The girl's eyes searched the room for a towel until she realised that she had washed them and now they hung in the living room. Fuck this shit.
"Felix!" She called him as loud as she could, but there was no answer. The boy did not respond until she called him again.
"What do you want?" His voice echoed through the hallway. She sounded unsure and intrigued.
"I have a problem."
"Well now you have two." Felix yelled back.
Y/N frowned in confusion and lifted her head.
"How's that?"
"I ain't interested in your first problem."
She let out an annoyed sight and rolled with her eyes and brought her fingers to her forehead, running over her skin in a steady, relaxing movement. Why was he like that? Was it really necessary to always find a way for drama?
"I don’t have a towel." She whined, hoping for him to bring her one. The grumpy boy did not respond again, an unbearable silence filling the apartment. Felix was there, the girl knew that he was. He had not shut his door yet, so he must be in the living room or kitchen where he would perfectly understand you.
"Felix…" She called him, already giving up that he would come and breaking her mind by finding a way to get past him. "Please."
A few seconds later she heard his footsteps come back again, the wood creaking under his weight and announcing the boy’s arrival. He did not even enter the room, instead Felix threw the towel through the open crack.
"I need to take a piss, so please hurry up!" He said rather cowardly before the footsteps led him away, then shutting the door shut. Y/N did not hesitate and got out of the water as quickly as she could, barely drying her skin before she sprinted into her own room before the former lost boy would cross her way again.
Why did such things always happen to her? Could it not have been someone else to walk in like Emma or Mary? Of course not, destiny always found a way to punish the girl,- first Pan, now Felix. Nevertheless, the cold boy stayed inside her mind all the time. She dressed herself and got ready to snuck under the blankets. For a while she allowed herself to dream of him cuddling against her back, how his big body would feel like pressed against hers, or maybe even… on top  of her?
NO.
Fuck no, she was not having dirty daydreams of mister cold facade. There was nothing special about Felix, right? Eventually that long scar that ran over his jagged jawline and those blue, stabbing eyes fascinated her. Those  piercing eyes, that were sharp as daggers and intimidating as the gaze of a shark. There was definitely something mysterious about the former second in command, still, Y/N had told herself that she was done with adventures and risky decisions- Felix was definitely one of those,- that she could tell. He was hot, but also the biggest asshole she ever met. The former lost boy kept wandering through the apartment and distracting the girl's dreaming thoughts with each passing second. He would not leave her mind until she fell asleep.

Green Sky Highway
Phic Phight Phic for @deuynndoodles
.
The Fenton Ecto Cell Bettery (aka the Better Battery) was designed to draw power from not only an internal, pre-charged store of ectoplasm, but also from ambient, atmospheric ectoplasm.  This meant that it would never run out of juice so long as it was in the Ghost Zone.  The Specter Speeder was designed to travel in the Ghost Zone.  Thus, the Betteries were the perfect power source for it.  In theory.
In practice… Well, that just wasn’t working out, and Maddie didn’t know why.  She gripped the underside of the dash and tried to push herself deeper beneath it to get a better view of the machinery.
“Maddie?  You see anything?” asked Jack, who couldn’t fit under the dash.  He’d been inspecting as much of the engine as he could from the inside, which wasn’t much.  The Speeder wasn’t designed to be serviced while free-floating in the Ghost Zone.
Which, now that she thought of it, was a serious oversight.
“Everything looks fine,” said Maddie.  “Except that it doesn’t have any power.  Nothing’s lighting up, but all the connections look good. You?”
“I can’t get anything to work.  Anything.  It’s like… we’re in some kind of technological dead zone.  But that doesn’t make sense.”
Maddie pulled herself out to see Jack vigorously scratching his head and shedding dandruff everywhere.  “Ghosts do tend to disrupt technology.”
“But we fixed that.  We designed all our weapons to work with that.”
“We know there are things we don’t know,” said Maddie, “and it’s always good to find new things!  Though not pleasant to find them out like this…”  They should really test their inventions more, honestly.
But it had been over a year of testing since they opened the portal.  They had to jump in at some point, didn’t they?  That was the whole point of the portal.
She sighed.  “Well, we didn’t have a lot of forward momentum when the portal cut out.”  She looked out the window.  “We could see if we can get out and engage our jetpacks.”
“Uh, about that,” said Jack.  He swung open the door to the jetpack cabinet.  The empty jetpack cabinet.  “I may have forgotten to put them back after refueling them.”
“Jack…”
“I know, I’m sorry.”
Maddie massaged the bridge of her nose with her mostly-clean knuckles.  This was a repeat of the handle inside the weapons vault.  At least he wasn’t pushing the blame for it back onto Danny or Jazz.  That would definitely have started a fight.
On the other hand, there really wasn’t any guarantee the jetpacks would even still be functional, so maybe it was for the best. For certain values of best.
She groaned.
There was a knocking sound.  “Is that coming from the engine?” Maddie asked.
“No…” said Jack, slowly.  “I think it came from the door…”
They both turned to stare.  Something moved outside it.  They shifted to get a better view out the window.
Phantom was out there, tapping on the door with a ten-foot pole.
“That little unnatural abomination,” cursed Jack under his breath.  “He’s going to scratch the paint!”
Phantom apparently saw them and waved.  “Hey!” he shouted, just loud enough to be heard through the walls of the Speeder.  “Do you guys need a lift?”
Jack and Maddie turned to each other.
“How did he know we were here?”
“I don’t know,” said Jack.  “Do you think he followed us?”
“It wouldn’t be difficult, but I’m surprised he didn’t show up on our detectors.”
“He does seem to have the ability to drop off of them.”
“True,” said Maddie.  “So, how do we handle this?  Fenton bat?”
“I don’t know, Mads.  He might be, uh, sincere?  That time with the ectofiltrator he did help me.”
“That’s one, single, datapoint.  He’s a been a menace every other time we’ve encountered him.”
“I don’t know that we have much other choice,” said Jack, nodding towards the dead engines and the empty jetpack cabinet.
Maddie huffed out a sigh, then looked back at Phantom, who waved again.
“Fine.  We still have to decide how to deal with him while we’re cooperating with him.  Or if he decides to show his true colors.”
“Good idea.”
.
Danny knew this had been a terrible, terrible idea the moment his parents opened the door to the Speeder armed to the teeth.  Why did they always feel the need to do that? None of the weapons, with the possible exceptions of the Fenton Bat and the Fenton Crowbar could even work here.
How his parents had, on their first jaunt into the Ghost Zone, managed to run smack into the Time Locked Lands was beyond him. They had to go to the one place in the Ghost Zone that the Speeder wouldn’t work and after coating the Speeder with some kind of anti-ghost spray that Danny absolutely refused to touch again.  Ever. Especially in ghost form.  Except with a ten-foot pole.
(If they’d left the spray off, he could have just pushed the Speeder back out of the Time Locked Lands.  But, no, they had to make everything as difficult and painful as possible.)
“I am not carrying all that,” said Danny, flatly.
(Especially because it would all turn back on once they left the Time Lost Lands, and if there wasn’t a Specter Deflector under all that, he’d eat his own belt.)
“Then we aren’t going anywhere with you!” proclaimed Maddie.
“You’re stranded in the middle of the Ghost Zone. I don’t think you have a choice.”
“We do!”
“I could literally just fly over there and snatch you right now.  Plus, again, stranded.  Do you even have any food in there?”
“Of course we do!” said Maddie.  “We aren’t incompetent.”
Jack looked guilty.  Danny decided not to bring it up.
“Okay, but still, you’re going to run out eventually, and then you’ll still be floating in the Ghost Zone with no way to get out.  You aren’t going to get another friendly ghost coming by.”
“I’ve never seen a friendly ghost to begin with!”
“Maddie…”
“I can just leave, you know,” said Danny, planting his hands on his hips and bluffing for all he was worth.  He was not leaving his parents here to be used as hostages or who knew what else.
Hopefully, they wouldn’t call the bluff.  They shouldn’t.  No sane, reasonable person would.  He was their only way out of this mess.  On the other hand, his parents had never been completely sane, reasonable people.
Danny thought his odds were about fifty-fifty.  Which meant he could hope.
Jack and Maddie had an intense, whispered conversation. This, thankfully, lead to them divesting themselves of most of their visible weaponry.  Which meant that they still had more guns on them than most professional soldiers during a firefight.
Well, it was better than he’d expected.  But it was still too many.
“Take the Specter Deflectors off,” he said.  “What do you think will happen if I try to carry you and you have those on.”
There was muttering.
“Come on, come on,” said Danny, snapping his fingers. Which really shouldn’t work through his gloves but did anyway.
Sometimes ghost nonsense was good for making lasers fly from your hands, and sometimes it was good for tiny aesthetic breaks in physics. It was a grab bag, really.
“Alright,” said Danny.  “I’m going to fly over and pick you up.  Don’t hit me.”
Oh, jeez, he was not looking forward to carrying them all the way over to the portal.  Sure, he could bench press a school bus, but there was a difference between holding up a school bus for a minute and carrying two people who hated his guts a mile through enemy territory while flying slowly enough not to give them windburn.
Sure, it’d probably only take a few minutes, even then, but those would be the longest few minutes in his entire life.  Not counting his actual death.
.
Being carried by Phantom had to be the single worst experience in Jack’s entire life.
It wasn’t the speed or the lack of control – he loved carnival rides – or the height – Jack couldn’t tell you how many buildings he’d jumped off in pursuit of ghosts – or even the fact that Phantom was a sinister specter, and ectoplasmic emanation, a putrid piece of protoplasm – he’d been carried by ghosts before, usually ones who were a lot more upfront about wanting to kill him.
Actually, Jack didn’t know why he didn’t like it. He just didn’t.
Maybe it was just how uncomfortable it was?  But Jack did way more uncomfortable things. Like interacting with his sister-in-law. Brr.
Maybe it was the lurking feeling behind every interaction he ever had with Phantom that there was something he just wasn’t seeing, some hidden truth that would make everything about Phantom, every contradiction, every confusion, make sense.
Nah, that couldn’t be it.  Maddie would have figured it out by now.  That’s why they made such a great team.  He noticed the things she didn’t, and she noticed the things he didn’t.
“You’re going the wrong way,” snapped Maddie.
Just like that!
Wait.  That was a really bad thing.
“I’m not going the wrong way,” snapped Phantom.  “I’m avoiding Walker’s prison.  I don’t know how he didn’t catch you on your way out, but I’m not eager to be thrown in jail for a thousand years.”
“Ghosts have jail?” asked Jack surprised.
“Depends where you are,” said Phantom.  “Walker isn’t really a sheriff, though.  There’s no government behind him and he just makes up rules randomly so he can lock up anybody he doesn’t like.”
“Like you,” observed Jack.
“Why doesn’t it surprise me that you’re even wanted by whatever passes for the law here?”
“First, rude.  Secondly, there are realms in here that are just as organized and civilized as any country on Earth.  Just because you opened your portal into the equivalent of post-apocalyptic Detroit doesn’t mean it’s all like this.”
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” said Maddie.
“I could arrange that, you know,” said Phantom, stilling.
Jack laughed nervously.  “Maybe another time?”  The ghost would do what it would do, but they didn’t need to encourage him to bring them even deeper into the Ghost Zone.  They were currently banking on Phantom’s obsession with heroics to get them home, but if they changed the equation…  Yeah, Jack didn’t want to deal with the consequences of that.
Ghosts were like computers that ran only one program. One homicidal, destructive program.
It was like that thought experiment about an AI whose job was to maximize the number of paperclips.  It’d just keep on making more and more paperclips until nothing was left.  Which was why they had to be stopped.
Easier said than done, as Jack and Maddie had learned.
“You don’t have to be so freaked out,” muttered Phantom. “It isn’t like I’m going to kidnap you or anything.”  He pretended to sigh.
What was the point of that?  He had to know that Jack and Maddie wouldn’t fall for his tricks. Actually, come to think of it, he was miming breathing, too, and had been the whole time.
Maybe that’s why Jack was so uncomfortable.  The constant undercurrent of deception.
Hmmm… something to think on.
“What’s that?” asked Maddie, pointing.
“Uh,” said Phantom, who did a double take.
Ooh, that wasn’t reassuring.
.
Danny clenched his teeth, his parents’ reactions to him weren’t reassuring, and even less reassuring was the way Pariah’s Keep had moved from its usual creepy location and to this new creepy location. Not that there were any non-creepy locations in the Ghost Zone.  It was part of the place’s charm.
No, really.  Some part of Danny craved the creepiness.  He was half-ghost, after all.
(Even if his idea of creepiness was, according to his friends, sort of lame.)
But back to the main point.  The keep really, really shouldn’t be here.  And it was creeping him out.
It should be okay to just… fly past it, though, right? Just being in its airspace in the past hadn’t done anything bad.  So, flying by with his parents in tow shouldn’t do anything either.  Right?
Danny put on more speed, just in case.  This coincided with a bunch of large ghost ravens (or were they crows?) dive bombing them and forcing him to land to defend himself and parents.  The only land around being the rim of the island that supported the keep.
He knew something like this would happen. Maybe not exactly this, but he just knew he’d be attacked and everything would devolve into nonsense, and—
Huh.  The birds weren’t attacking him, just his parents.  Oh, these were racist (mortalist?) birds.  Gross.  Trust Pariah Dark to have bigoted birds.  He called up a shield to protect his parents.  Whereupon they shot him in the back, shouting about how he betrayed them to the birds, because why not?
Why was his life like this?
He pushed himself up off the ground.  Starbursts twinkled behind his eyes.  Neither his parents nor the crows were in sight.  The crows could have gone anywhere.  His parents on the other hand…
There was only one place they could have gone.
Well.  At least none of the nonsentient traps would work on them, seeing as they were humans. What were the odds that they’d run into one of the sentient defenders?
Well… considering the ravens?
Yeah.  That’d be about one hundred percent.
.
“Maddie, I don’t know about this…” said Jack, examining the tall, vaulted ceiling.
“We had to get away from Phantom.  This was the only way to go.”
“But he came here for a reason, Mads,” whispered Jack, tip-toing.
“Yeah, this is definitely a trap.  But what can we do?”
“Jack?  Maddie? This is not a place you want to wander around in! Oh, holy—” There was a loud thump.
Maddie grabbed Jack’s hand and pulled him forward. “We have to get away from him.”
“Come on!  This is a floating island!  I’m your only way off!  Why are you like this?”
“He has a point,” said Jack.
Maddie stopped.  “I guess he does.”
“This is literally the worst place you could have picked to run away!”  A sound like a very large door opening and closing reached their ears.  “This is Pariah Dark’s place!  Where did you even go?”
“Mads?”
“Yeah?”
“Who’s Pariah Dark?”
“I think that was the name of the ghost that sucked the town into the Ghost Zone a few months ago.”
“Please, guys!  I’m trying to help you here!  This place is ultra-dangerous!  You could accidentally – yikes! – wake up Pariah Dark.”
“Maybe we should…”
“Yeah,” said Maddie, “maybe we should.”
“Phantom!” called Jack.  “Phantom!  We’re over—” The floor opened up underneath them and they fell into the dark.
.
Maddie woke to a dark room, tied to a chair.  She noticed the faintly glowing ghost in front of her and jolted backwards.
The ghost wore a set of painted and engraved plate armor, a pair of lavender-white eyes glowing from behind the slats of its visor.  A knight, of sorts, Maddie supposed.
“You…” droned the ghost in a painfully stereotypical ghostly moan.  “Enemies of the king… why have you come here?”
“Huh?”
That was Jack’s voice.  He was tied behind her, apparently.
“We don’t have anything to say to you,” snapped Maddie.
“Uh,” said Jack.  Something twisted behind Maddie.  “Are you a friend of Phantom?”
“A friend?  A friend?”
“I’m going to take that as a no,” muttered Maddie.
The door of the room flew off its hinges.  “Fright Knight!” shouted Phantom, pointing a glowing finger.  “Wait, you aren’t Fright Knight.  Who are you, and what do you want with my- With, uh, the Fenton ghost hunters?  Who I don’t know very well at all. Promise.”
“What,” said the ghost.
“What,” said Maddie.
“What,” said Jack.
“Okay, forget everything I just said.”  He gestured at the ghost.  “Who are you?”
“My name is Paladin, my liege.”
“Okay, okay, cool, cool.  I- Wait, what?  What did you call me?”
“My liege?”
Phantom looked like he was having an existential crisis.
“Maddie was right!” exclaimed Jack, who couldn’t see Phantom’s face.  “You did lead us into a trap!”
“What?  No?  I’ve never even met this guy before!  You are a guy, right?”
“Yes, my liege.”
“Right.  I’m going to put that on the backburner and freak out about it later.  How are you- Why are you—” Phantom shook his head.  “Why are you here in Pariah’s Keep?”
“It’s your keep.”
“Since when?”
“Say what now?” asked Jack and Maddie at once.
“Look, this is news to me, too.  But, back to the question.  You.  The keep. Why?  I mean, you weren’t here before.”
“That is because Pariah sealed me, my liege.  When you defeated him, I was released and immediately swore fealty to the true king.  You.”
“I am so freaking out right now, but we’ll revisit that. Later.  Right now, I have to get these guys home.”
“But they have hostile intentions towards your person, my liege!”
“Everyone has hostile intentions towards me.  I’m honestly surprised you haven’t attacked me yet.”
“Ah.  My liege, perhaps you should seek the services of a priest, if all your experiences with new people are such.”
“Is that the medieval equivalent of a therapist?”
“I fear I do not know what that is.  Why do you ask?”
“Because the last time I talked to one of those, they purposefully picked at every one of my insecurities and then tried to murder my, uh.  Someone close to me.”
“An evil counselor, then,” said the knight, gravely.
“I want to agree with you, but somehow I feel like you’re talking about something completely different than the image in my head.”
“That may be true, my liege.  Doubtless, you are very wise.”
Maddie was… lost.
Very lost.
Even so, her prerogative was escaping.  She started twisting, trying to get to the knots around her wrists.
“Did you, uh, pilot the castle out here?”
“Yes.  I sensed that mortal enemies of the king, that’s you—”
“I will debate that as soon as my brain stops screaming at me.”
“—had entered the Realm.”
“Right.  Yeah. Thank you.  But I can handle these guys.  And I need to get them home.  Please. I made a deal with them.”
“With these?”
“Hey!” said Jack, offended.
“I mean, I use the term deal pretty loosely.”
“Hey!”
“But yes.  Please.  Just.  Dang.  How did you tie them up that quickly?”
“It’s a hobby.”
“Do you mind if I take the chairs?”
“They are your chairs, my liege.”
“I’m still not used to that.”
“Are you quite certain you want to take them?  And just… Let them loose?  The dungeon here is very functional.  We even have an oubliette.”
“Raincheck.  But thank you.  Really, I mean it.”  Phantom flew behind Maddie, and she protested as the chair she was in was yanked upward. “Uh… I might have gotten turned around a time or two, so if you could…”
“Of course!  The keep does seem to have sustained some damage, so we will have to take some detours.”
“Phantom!  Phantom! Put us down and untie us.”
“Nah, I think I like this better.  Your kids can untie you once I bring you back!”
“You’re going to drag us all the way through the Ghost Zone?”
“That’s the plan.”
.
The rest of the flight was surprisingly pleasant. No one attacked, and his parents were much easier to carry in the chairs.  Sure, they struggled, but the struggling was much more manageable than the wriggling from before.
They were mad at him.  But they were always mad at him.  So.
No loss, really.
With the utmost carefulness, Danny set them down in the middle of the lab, still tied up, and then began zapping then tossing their most troublesome inventions into the gaping maw of the portal while they screamed at him.
Normally, he wouldn’t do this, especially after successfully rescuing his parents and hopefully raising their opinion of him, but some of those inventions were painful.  Like.  A lot painful.  And dangerous.  Also, he was doing his level best to avoid thinking about the whole ‘king’ thing.
Which he couldn’t do forever.
Especially since Jazz walked down the stairs, probably drawn by the screaming, to see Danny shoving half of the Ghost Catcher through the portal sans-strings.
“Uh,” said Danny.
“Get that ghost, Jazzy-pants!”
Danny vanished and fled upstairs.
.
Jazz had seen many strange things in her life, but that scene was one of the weirder ones.
It took some time to untie her parents, longer to extract herself from the ensuing rant and their attempt to salvage their equipment from Danny’s all-too-explicable rampage.  Honestly, she was surprised Danny hadn’t snapped earlier.
She opened the door to his room.  It was empty.  She squinted. He was not just leaving her hanging like that, with no context to what happened other than their parents’ ranting.  She opened her door.
Danny was lying on his side on the middle of her rag rug, hugging Bearbert Einstein.
“A ghost told me I was king and that I needed a priest.”
Oh boy.

okey okey but like for your sentience au thing, and in one of your recent asks
like the one where the characters finally break free, childe's part had me thinking on how they can always be with you
what if, whatever, character manages to escape but what if they were tiny. like the same character size on the device you play on.
like what if they were pocket sized, is basically what I'm saying. then they can be always with ya.
ya know.
ack, too much.
anyways..
I'm really liking your writing and ideas. I've turned on my notifs, so that I can always be updated on when you post. and I just, plse continue to write. obvi ion wanna sounds like I'm forcing ya to continue writing.
drink some water, not too much nor too little, eat, takes nap and take care of yourself
This is a GREAT idea thank you!
I hope I wrote it the way you were hoping so far!
They Escape the Game (Part 1)
(Pocket Edition)
Characters included in this part:
Xiao, Diluc, Kaeya
(I may make a PC version but it will more than likely just be HC’s because the only thing that would change would be the slight change in height)
Xiao
It took everything in him to finally decide to leave everything he knows behind and take a leap of faith out of the game. All he’s every known has been Genshin and ONLY genshin. So when he had finally gotten out of it he was more than surprised by what he saw.
When he had made it out, the first thing he was met by
Was you.
Except, you were h u g e.
You looked down at the tiny person in front of you who had just literally hopped out of your screen.
As you took a closer look your realized it was xiao.
HA, that can’t be right, right?
You went to poke him to make sure you weren’t just making it up but right before you did you felt his tiny hands push against yours a-bit.
“What are you doing?” He asked with his usually annoyed tone. Your eyes widened as you realized, this was in fact xiao. He just, popped out of your game.
You left the palm of your hand open as he hesitantly climbed on. You carefully raised him closer to your face as he grabbed onto your thumb to secure himself on your hand.
“Xiao?” You asked.
“Who else would it be.” He retorted, taking a quick glance at the very large objects around him. He was used to the large mountains in Liyue but nothing of this size.
Having the tiny man in the palm of your hand was such a weird feeling but you had to admit his tiny angry face did look adorable. You gently placed him back down as you began to think.
“How are you even here?”
“...” no response came from the tiny yaksha as he looked away, seemingly avoiding the question. He looked around your room a bit more and noticed that you had his mask on your wall.
“How did you get that.” He asked as he pointed to it, looking back down towards his hip where his now tiny mask still remained.
“Oh, this was a gift from a friend of mine.” You said as you carefully took it down and placed it in-front of him.
Carefully he stood on top of the mask and admired the detail, it was accurate to the one he had, which was impressive but he dare not say that out loud. He lightly hopped off the mask as he looked back at your phone that now had an empty space where he had been.
His mind did start to wander as he thought about how literally all he knew was essentially
A lie.
Not wanting to think about it to much he turned back towards you.
“Traveler... pick me up.” He demanded as his now outstretched hands wrapped around your finger as you lifted him back up to your face.
“I am now going to stay with you to protect you at all times. No, you do not have a say in this.” He proclaimed as you lightly chuckled.
“What’re you going to protect me with, a toothpick?” You joked and xiao pulled out his spear and lightly poked your finger, not enough to make you bleed but it still hurt causing you to almost drop him.
“Didn’t think that through, did you.” You laughed.
Going about daily life wasn’t too hard with Xiao always around. You found different places to hide him so if someone walked in they wouldn’t see him.
When going outside you attempted putting him in your pocket but it was a bit to much of a tight fit for him to stick his head out well. So you decided to get a small empty bag.
He’s often very quiet throughout the day, just enjoying being around you finally. He didn’t even care about how you looked he just wanted to be around you especially now that he’s in a huge world full of unfamiliar things.
Diluc
At first Diluc was unsure about dropping everything and leaving, since there was no guarantee of him getting back if he felt homesick. However, this thought was overruled when you had joined the game again.
He wasn’t one to just jump head first into things but this time he was sure about what he wanted to do. And before you could even do your normal greeting he had leaped from the screen.
He didn’t think about the fact that he had no idea where he was going to end up when he jumped through but that question was quickly answered when he landed in your face.
You immediately swatted at you face, thinking it was a bug, not caring to open your eyes and look at who it actually was.
Diluc hung on for dear life as you finally swatted him off but he luckily landed on the pillow in-front of you.
As you rubbed your mouth hoping to get the feeling of what you thought was a bug off your mouth you finally heard it.
“Traveler?” The voice said. It was a strong voice and sounded, a bit far away. You looked around for the voices host, but saw no one. Until you looked down at the pillow in front of you and noticed the small redhead who was standing there.
You had no idea what to say, this isn’t real right? But it’s so convincing. He practically look as if he was actually there.
“Diluc?” You asked hesitantly as he looked back up at you. This was the first time he had ever seen you face to face, you were a lot bigger than he had thought you were going to be but he found your features beautiful nonetheless.
You carefully put your hand down for him to climb up and he did. He held onto your thumb go slight security as you lifted him up to get a closer look, and sure enough, it was Diluc, down to every last detail.
“Oh my goodness it really is you! Why are you so small?” You asked, he shrugged his shoulders and turned back to look at the thing he popped out of which was your phone.
“Well I’m assuming since I come through that portal object over there, I ended up being no bigger than that size.” He said as you put him carefully back down on the phone.
“What is this thing anyways?” He asked as he tapped the sword attack button on your screen causing your character to attack.
“Ah, so that’s how you did it. I will admit this is a little bit weird for me.” He said as he turned back towards you.
“Are you still able to bring out your weapon and everything?” You asked and he nodded and drew his weapon. You were amazed to say the least. Your favorite character literally just popped out of your game.
“This is amazing! I can’t believe you’re here, how did you even manage to get out? Do you plan to go back? How would you even get back?” You rambled on with more and more questions as Diluc just calmly watched you as a small smile graced his features.
He didn’t care about getting back right now, all he cares about was that he was finally with you.
Kaeya
Your day had been pretty rough. Nothing was going right from the beginning so when you finally got back home you decided to just sit down and play Genshin.
When you entered you had realized Kaeya wasn’t in his usual spot which confused you but you decided to do a few quests before questioning it.
Eventually you had just gotten to the point in the Lantern Rite where you had to talk to Kaeya and you were ECSTATIC.
You made your way from Liyue to Mondstadt as fast as you could. And from a distance you could see the marker as it counted down the closer you got to it. As you made your way to fountain there he was.
He smiled at your presence as you ran around him in circles, trying your best to say hi. You stopped in front if him and went through the quest dialogue, praying to Barbatos that he wouldn’t disappear after wards, and lucky enough for you he didn’t!
You hopped up and down out if pure joy.
Kaeya chuckled a bit at your excitement as he put his hands on your characters shoulders to stop them from hopping.
“I have a little surprise for you, I’ve been working on it for a while. I need you to wait here.” He said as he backed up from your character. You watched him as he just disappeared.
“The hell?” You asked out loud, what kind of surprise was this? You expected him to appear back in front of you in game but it never happened.
You waited a little bit expecting something to happen, yet nothing did. Until you were met face to face with the blue haired Calvary captain.
Not expecting the sudden figure to just appear in-front of you freaked out and jumped up from where you were seated, cause Kaeya to go flying.
Luckily it was that far of a distance and he managed to land safely.
“Kaeya?” You asked, thinking you might’ve just had your phone to close to your face.
“Surprise!” He said, climbing back up your chair. He landed on a space where you both could see each other as he finally got a good look at your face.
You had no idea what to say as you looked at the tiny captain in-front of you. He still did some of his idle animations as he stood, waiting for your response.
“How did you get out?” You asked him, leaning down towards him a bit.
“I have my ways.” He replied. It’s Kaeya, did you really expect a full detailed answer? He looked around your room, taking in the new surroundings. It was nothing like he had seen in Mondstadt, for one thing there was technology.
This was entirely new to him, and there didn’t seem to be any weapons anywhere.
Your entire room was practically the size of Mondstadt to him.
“I must say, I didn’t actually think this would work, but I’m glad I could finally meet you.” He smiled, you smiled back, still unsure of what was happening and questioning if you should make an appointment with an eye doctor.
“How long have you been trying for?” You asked looking down at him, he paused as he thought of his answer, the time difference in your world was drastic from that of Teyvat.
“Well it’s hard to say but I have tried maybe, 25-30 times before. I was starting to lose hope if I’m being honest.” He admitted. You had no idea he was this dedicated to getting out of the game
To see you.
It was flattering but also a bit scary to think your favorite character has wanted to meet you just as much as you wanted to meet him.
“This height difference nah be a problem though.” He pointed out with a chuckle.
“We’ll figure something out I’m sure.” You responded
-Birdy
(This basically just serves as an introduction to the idea and hopefully I will have enough time to come back and expand on what they do as tiny people)
