this is a long shot but do you have any information on German folk magic or German American folk magic?
I'm not a German folk practioner but you are in luck because I do know of a few creators online who are! They'll do a hell of a lot better job at directing you to good information than I can.
I'd recommend doing the usual stuff like searching on social media platforms for relevant tags like #germanfolkmagic #braucheri & #hexe. Learn the language, read the folktales, learn some recipes, listen to the folk music & learn the history. When searching online, use whichever web browser is commonly used in Germany because that'll open you up to a lot more information.
There are a few awesome German & German American folk practitioners on tiktok I follow. Go check their content out & look on their Linktrees for more information. I think all of them are on YouTube as well.
Hexe Marie ◇ A Hearth Witch ◇ De Spokenkieker
For more Pennsylvania Dutch folk magic (also known as Powwow or Braucheri), i'd recommend these channels on YouTube:
The Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center
The Pfalzisch Braucher (I'm pretty sure Olivia's also on Tiktok)
The Powwow Guy
Douglas Maderford
Hopefully this gives you a good place to start. ❤️

❤︎
I can tell you,
I know your bed does get cold at night.
Making food only for yourself gets boring.
Trying to find a pretty match to join your smokes with gets tiresome.
I know you’ve been searching for someone who’s got that.
So maybe I’ll love you hard enough to make you stay or give you all the freedom you need to roam to come back me.
Seems like coincidence.
❤︎

A bit of dull history from the Cincinnati area. They have this thing called goetta, which is made from ground pork, spices, and pinhead oats. Its original purpose was to stretch the volume of meat. It is normally sliced and pan-fried. Many Cincinnatians will tell you that Goetta is German - which isn't really true. Goetta is derived from a German dish called Knipp which is similar but not the same. Goetta was likely invented by German immigrants.
The irony is, goetta is approximately 2x the price of ground sausage by weight at the supermarket. It is delicious though. This is a slab of the most famous "Gliers" goetta on some homemade rye.

From Verse in Prosa by Lotte Lehmann, translated from German by Jameson Fitzpatrick
Lotte Lehmann (1888–1976) was a renowned German-American soprano best known for her performances in the operas of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss. She was also the author of eight books, including Verse in Prosa (Verlag Hugo Heller-Bukum AG, 1923), the collection of prose poems from which these translations are drawn.

Introduction
My old blog du-bist-lecker got terminated, so I am back with this one. Here is a (much) shorter introduction than the one in my old blog, in case this one gets deleted as well. 🫡🇩🇪
I am a FTM German-American living in the states. I will not share my age, but I am young. I am gay and I am into video games, horror movies, hard kinks (these posts will be limited to avoid being terminated again, as will my porn posts), and nature.
ALL NSFW/GORE POSTS ARE FICTIONAL. DO NOT REPORT MY BLOG, SIMPLY LOOK THE FUCK AWAY. For the nsfw posts, always assume I’m the top unless stated otherwise in the tags.
Posts included:
- Some porn (gay only, and posts will be limited to avoid another ban)
- Bands/Music
- Posts related to Germany
- Antifascism/Leftist/Political
- Masked Men/Slashers/Tactical Men/Men 😮‍💨
- Erotophonophilia/Hard Kink Stuff (limited posts to avoid another ban)
- Horror Movies
- COD/MW2/MW3 (especially König, Krueger, and Price)
‼️‼️‼️DO NOT INTERACT:‼️‼️‼️
- Minors
- Gross kinks. You know what I’m talking about.
- Republicans/Right Winged

German-American Day was started to commemorate the founding of Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1683, and to celebrate the culture and art of people with family ties to Germany.  Nutcrackers and Steiff stuffed animals are two iconic symbols that everyone knows as German.

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Schoolhouse, a "one room school, which now serves as a thrift shop in downtown Algonquin, Illinois. That's McHenry County, northwest of Chicago and Cook County. Don't quote me - I think it dates from before WWI. I'll get that exact year. The village was incorporated in 1890, so I'll guess 1902. Algonquin is on the shores of the Fox River. It isn't named for the people who lived, farmed, hunted & fished in its waters. Those were the Potawatomi.

wait yorue also from cincy! hell yeah cincy german fam. anyway, goetta sucks and i will fight everyone- including my extremely large german family- over this.
I cannot claim that honor and apologize for any confusion. I looked at the piece on goetta (something I adore), copied full stop from a Dull Men's Club (not just for men, hardly dull, on Facebook--quite possibly the only reason to have a Facebook other than sending memes to that one cousin you like) and realize that I neglected to edit or source it, since I posted it mostly as a reminder to myself to make goetta soon, as I've got some pork sausage in the freezer that I should thaw and use.

Hey Germans...
What's your favorite German tradition or dish?
My dad's family immigrated from Germany to the US so I kinda want to see if there's things we've just always done that are German without me realizing it.
