My first hero! 🌟 Uncountable tantrums, unjustifiable stubbornness, limitless mischievousness and whatnot, you remained extremely patient Dad, and enjoyed watching this annoying mess grow into an adult. When mom used to narrate a whole story of the troubles I caused her entire day, you subtly smiled at my innocence. At every moment, your goal was to impart values in me like a 'गुरु', shape my character like a 'मूर्तिकार', and empower me like a ‘कुम्हार’.🌻 You taught me how beautiful the satisfaction of sacrificing for your loved ones can be. You had just entered your twenties when life threw difficult challenges in your path. A twenty year old young adult had the burden of looking after his mother and younger siblings, with limited resources, no backing of any kind, and little experience. The burden of responsibilities never let you live a single day just for yourself. Life presented itself in its most raw form possible, yet you kept going. Amidst all this, you became your own institution and learnt everything who had to in order to look after the family. You never let them see your vulnerable side, that you need a listener too, and that you need a shoulder too. When your loved ones looked up to you, they saw unfathamble love, compassion, and a sparkle of hope in your eyes. So much has changed, but you’re still the same- a pillar of strength for the entire family, as much ready to make any sacrifice for them, and provide unconditional love and support. 💫 You’ve laid the foundation of my character which is today my biggest strength. Here’s is life update!🌻 Ever since I moved to Hong Kong a plethora of incidences have happened in my life. Dragging myself through the quarantine, seeing my university in person for the first time after two years, trying to keep pace with the fast life of this place, and to add to it was the cultural shock. 🌱 Amidst all this, what I forgot to do is to embrace this newness, form new connections and live a little more.
