"I'm not—" It's the first thing that comes out of his mouth, instinctive and automatic, and he blows out a big breath as he tilts his head back over the edge of the couch to look at Leon as the other seems to be all but pacing a hole into his floor.

Poor floor…

"Look, I'm trying okay?" He muttered, pouting slightly and kicking off his shoes so he could curl up on the couch more comfortably, shifting in his seat to better be able to see the other from his perch as well.

"It's not that easy. Can you imagine me just dropping everything out of the blue? They'd think Xehanort possessed me or something." Which, quite frankly, he wouldn't be surprised if that was the conclusion they jumped to. Sora's public veneer was growing more different from the way he felt and conducted himself in private that by now the difference was staggering.

He'd stopped crying and raging a while ago, for which he's silently grateful as he'd been on the verge of breaking character in front of Donald and Goofy, or worse yet in front of Yen Sid and he'd have been in for no end of trouble then. No sad faces… No angry faces either, of course. Not that that counted for anyone but him clearly, considering how often Donald got jumped up. You'd think someone had shoved something up— Ahem. Anyway, better not derail…

"I can't change things now, and I didn't know better a few years ago when I might've still had the chance. It's… not fine, but it is what it is, I guess." He glanced up at Leon again, resting over the back edge of the couch now as if trying to get closer to the man who had become such a reliable and beloved anchor to him.

"It was the same for you, right?" He ventures after a small pause. Leon hadn't yet told him much of what life had been like for him before the worlds had gone and tangled themselves up in each other the way they had. Still, Sora loved the stories, even if it wasn't all good cheer and fun times. He figures one day maybe he'll be talking about his own adventures to some bright eyed and hopeful youngster and they'd feel the same way he did now.

It really was a cycle, huh?

"I can be myself here, that's enough for me." He finally offers in resolution. He can't change his attitude towards everyone else right now, he's doing all he can already to the edge of utter exhaustion to regain whatever it is Yen Sid thinks he's lost (it had better not be his innocence because that was impossible to recover—) and he's barely got energy left over for everything else he's got to deal with beside that.

Such as keeping up his veneer of joviality and good sportsmanship in front of his companions and friends.

He still desperately wished he could pull Riku aside and have a few hours to talk about how they both felt and how things were going, maybe reveal the truth to him even if knowing his cheerfulness was an illusion would likely hurt Riku some… It'd still be better to know the truth, just like he'd want Riku to tell him if something were wrong on his end too.

It's all he wants really, to clear the air and go home, but the way things are now it's already a miracle he can escape to Leon under the guise of extra training. At least here he can catch up on some much needed sleep and talk to his mentor about the things that are bothering him without needing to fear judgement or corrective measures of any kind.

"Hey Leon…" After a moment he glances up again, biting at his lower lip with an air of insecurity he didn't display all that often anymore. "Do you… Do you think I'll ever be able to go home?"

A/n: I can actually write something over 1k words? Also I think the end is poorly written, so bear with me. xdd

Joost was locked in his room all day. You didn't blame him. He was gaining popularity and he was doing everything he could to make the most of it. But you also were scared for him. These last few days were a lot. 

He was stressed and you just wanted to help him. To give him some break from work. But he didn't want one.

"Joost? I made you some tea." You said and opened the door from his work room. He didn't say anything, he was still staring at the same spot on his computer. You didn't know if he was ignoring you or if he was really that busy with work.

You put the cup down on his desk and came behind him. Wrapping your arms around his shoulders. He still said nothing. 

"How is it going Joost?" You asked, truly curious about his work. 

"Good." He replied, it was short and without any sweet playfulness that you loved. 

"That's good." You whispered, with a small smile that was more forced than happy. He was just busy with work, you were repeating in your head, all and all over again.

"Do you wanna..." you began, "maybe, take a little pause from work?" You felt him tense up under your hands just as you finished. 

"Y/n, I have some work to do, can you stop?" Joost angrily remarked. 

"I didn't mea-" you didn't even finish the sentence, as Joost turned around and pulled out of your embrace. His face and eyes were hard, he was really mad.

"I told you to stop bothering me." He spatted at you. "Don't you have anything to do? Or bother?" The more he continued, the more it hurt. 

Inside of your head, you began to panic. What have you done? What were you going to do now? 

You didn't say anything, didn't do anything, just looked down and slowly left the room, softly closed the door behind you.

Why would he do that? You just wanted him to take a break, nothing more. Were you really that annoying? 

You made your way out of the house, leaving all things behind. Including your bag, phone and most importantly a keys. 

You had to clean your head. You didn't really realised you were crying till you touched your face. Where am I going? You thought, you just simply didn't know anything right now.

And the fact that it was getting darker as night approached, didn't help much. You made your way to the nearest park where you and Joost, from time to time, spent some moments together. You sat down on the bench, and just looked around.

You were enjoying the quiet atmosphere around you, but your thoughts were traitorous. Telling you all the bad things, even though they weren't true and real, only you were real, right now, at this moment.

As the night came, you still sat at the same place. You were playing with the rings on your fingers, as the cold slowly started to absorb you whole. 

And then you heard it. The soft call. Someone was calling you, your name.

"Y/n!"

Where was it coming from? Who was calling you? 

"Y/n, where are you!" 

It was getting closer. He was getting closer.  Joost. You could say something, anything, but you had no strength to do that. You lowered your head back down, doing nothing.

"Y/n-" Joost stopped in mid sentence as he saw you sitting all alone on the bench. He ran to you and as soon as he stood in front of you, he slowly crouched down and put his hands on your knees, where you were playing with your fingers.

"Hey..." Joost whispered, but now it was you who were silent. You didn't even look at him.

"I-I, I'm-m-" he was struggling to somehow put the whole sentence together. 

"I-i'm sorry Y/n. I'm so s-sorry." He began and looked down on the ground. "I shouldn't have yelled and been mean to you, it wasn't fair...to you, you were just trying to help me." As he continued, he put his head on your knees, you felt him shaking and your heart broke a little, but he  hurt you.

But he also knew about your traumas. You told him how you can't handle it mentally when someone yells at you, and he promised you to never do that, just to break that promise. 

"I'm so sorry Y/n. I really am." Joost whispered. “I was just stressed a-and I know that it doesn't change anything I said, but I'm still so sorry."

He broke in front of you. Crying by your legs.

"Can you say something...?" He whispered. And then he felt as you took your hands away from his own and he feared the worst. He didn't want to hear it, to go through another loss of someone he loves, but now just because of his stupidity.

He wrapped his arms around your legs, now wanting to let you go. But what he didn't expect was you to put your hands in his soft, blonde hair and started massaging his scalp.

"I forgive you." You whispered. Joost raised his head and looked you in your eyes with his red ones from crying. It took him some time to realize what he'd done, and when he went to apologize, you were nowhere to be found.

This panic that washed over him, he didn't feel it for a long, long time. When he tried to call you, he heard your phone ring in the kitchen, where you left it, along with other stuff he knew you wouldn't leave the house without. 

So he went searching for you, and all the places you could have been. He was also asking other people if they saw you, but they didn't. His last hope was a park. It was where you met. You were there, and when he saw you, he felt like he could finally breathe again.

"You...forgive me?" Joost couldn't help, but ask. His arms lose a bit around your legs, but it was still strong enough to keep you in place. 

"I forgive you." You repeated and took his face in your hands."I know you have it hard right now, but I just, I don't know...got scared a-and left. I shouldn't have done that. To scare you like that too." You felt his fresh tears as you spoke to him. He was really scared you would leave him too.

"I should be the one apologizing to you." Joost's voice cracked and then he kissed your palm. "You're not going to leave me, are you?" He asked with his crystal blue eyes. 

That question made you panic. "No, of course not. I could never." He is the love of your life, you couldn't just leave him.

"Let's just go home. I'm really cold." He stood up and pulled you in a hug. He didn't care about anything as long as you were with him, in his arms. Joost was repeatedly kissing the top of your head, with one hand in your hair and the other around you.

You heard him keep muttering how sorry he was, but you already forgave him. Now he just needed to forgive himself. 

"Here, take my jacket." He said and took his jacket off as he let you go. As soon as you had it around you, he took your hand in his and together you made your way home.

I was thinking that they're kind'a a cross between the two.

They pillage and raid other ships, but they don't normally go for "innocent" ships.. if they attack anyone, its usually other rotten pirates or slave ships maybe? "Bad" ships I guess you could say-

As for the voice claims. If like you explained- you happen upon an OC of mine and think "HE LOOKES LIKE HE SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THAT OTHER GUY" Then feel free to send it on over to me! :DD

As for Papyrus.. its complicated.

Papyrus had accepted long ago that Sans and all his friends were gone. And that he was never going to see them again.. It really hurt. And it took him a very long time to accept that fact. But he did. He knows in his soul that his true brother is gone..

That didn't make seeing "Sans" again any less painful though. He probably saw a Sans through the trees in a new Snowdin. Man, I cant imagine how he felt.

The whole multiverse thing was explained to him by Frisk. He knows that's not his Sans. He knows its not him. But gosh. Its been so long since he's seen his brothers smile. What he would give to hear one of his silly puns again. What he would give to hear his voice.. to just.. to hug him one last time..

Frisk would grab Papyrus' hand, "Papyrus.. we need to go.. please, common.."

Seeing the other Papyrus walk into view and begin talking to that Sans.. He recollects himself. Its not him. Sans is gone. He's been gone for a very long time..

With tears streaming down his face, he would find the strength to grip Frisk's hand.. and turn away.

It never gets easier..

I didn't intend to ever draw Frank and Eddie in a romantic light.. becuase yeah like you said, I just don't really like ships. Or honestly any romantic content that isn't my own OCs. Idk I just don't really enjoy drawing it--

But that's kind'a what I feared about the Welcome Home fandom if I'm being honest. I felt like people were really protective over Eddie and Frank. And if I revealed that I wasn't interested in drawing them as an item, canon or not? I felt like I would get a loooot of backlash.

But hey, I found a loophole. Just don't draw them together and there wont be any drama! :D It sucks though becuase Frank is a big part of Eddies lore and all his flashback shenanigans-

Well the strongest would be Blue Beauty by far- but looking at the smaller cookies? I think Seafoam is probably the strongest. But that's mostly due to him being so big. He's the biggest cookie on the crew and most of his strength just comes from packing more weight to his punch.

Though another toughy on the ship would be Louis. He may not be very big. But boy that crab arm? He has a grip strong enough to break cookies in half. And enough upper body strength to take your pieces and chuck em overboard--- 💀💀💀I wouldn't mess with either of them tbh--

As for the bounty.. that's a good question. :0 I wanna say Seafoam because he's the Captain an all.. but I really like the idea of Cuttlefish having this dark past and a surprisingly huge bounty over her head- 👀👀

As for the Octonauts question, bro I EAT questions like these! :DD

Its a very interesting prompt. Usually we think of Captain Barnacles as very level headed and calm. He seems like one to bounce back from any situation and keep leading the team no problem. But man. After something like that? That's gotta scare him to his core.

I can see Barnacles being more tense and not wanting any of the crew to stray too far from him or the Octopod. I can imagine that he would give Kwazii a lot of time to recover, a lot more than he actually needs. And maybe even going as far to forbid him from going on certain missions.

But after a little time and maybe a talk with Kwazii. I'm sure both Kwazii and the Captain would recover from the experience and continue on as normal.

(Also thank you! I hope this response was along the lines of what you were hoping for-- :00 )

I pictured it being like really dense soap bubbles. They smell nice and can be picked off his coat or head. But if you jumped on his coat foam you wouldn't sink through. It would be like a big cushion that you could sit on top of. If that makes sense?? <XDD

◈　RP PET PEEVES?　 ⋯ 　Hmmm, so one would be one way roleplays. When someone doesn't help push the story along. I don't want to sit here, debating on how I can encourage some reactions or what not. So I always try to give something to reply to whether its by an action, a question, a response that can be added to, etc... I also don't like when I reply with several paragraphs and someone only gives me 1-4 sentences. I do not expect mirror reflections of my post, but I do like quality. Quality does not equal quantity, but can still give absolutely plenty with a couple of paragraphs. And lastly, not communicating. I know sometimes it can be hard, some days your mind literally has no ideas or process. or if your distracted (I know a few people have that with me right now cause I'm playing BG3 XDD) but when you just, don't communicate, how can you write with each other? Its why I always try to send out welcome messages and encouarge the first step of communication.

◈　EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS　 ⋯ 　I started roleplaying when I was 11 on a site called Avidgamers. So its been a good.....24 years ish?

◈　FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT　 ⋯ 　Hands down, Angst is my go to. I will, without a doubt, love angst. Its never too much for me, i could have a bunch of angst going and it doesn't wear me down or anything. That being said, I don't like certain kinds of angst, like person versus person (example, my character and your character getting into an arguing and hating each other, or break ups or things like that). My kind of angst tends to be two people versus a situation, or where one is trying to save the other cause they are cursed, or trapped, being tortured, etc....Angst comfort too is good. I do like smut, but I tend to like to write it with people I talk to often and we have a good dynamic between our characters. Fluff is a bit harder for me, I can't do domestic cutesy things as I tend to get a little bored after awhile.

◈　PLOTS OR MEMES　 ⋯ 　I prefer plotting, plotting helps get a dynamic down (as I do not write first meetings or encounters) so this allows me to get a development of what are muses are like together. Its also a nice little platform of security to know what is going to happen in a thread. It isn't step by step plotting, but just enough of like 'okay, tehy are going to this place, its probably going to have a fight, and this is their objective'. Really simple plotting that allows for the comfort of stability while still allowing the flexibility of a character to control teh flow of the scene. Memes I tend to use after we've done  some plotting because I understand dynamics better and I know what to write or ideas to creat.

◈　LONG OR SHORT REPLIES　 ⋯ 　I'll never give short replies. the shortest you'll get from me is about 2 paragraphs. I don't like gives just a skeleton writing and I tend not to follow people who do one liners or small less then 5 sentences writing. I'm in this for the long haul, I want stories and adventures and fun paragraph form writing.

◈　TIME TO WRITE　 ⋯ 　While I'm online almost all day, its more then likely you see me writing about 10-11pm CST. Writing at night is a lot easier then it is writing during the day. Don't know why, I'm a weird little night owl XD.

◈　ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)　 ⋯ 　I tend to write characters I associate with in some form or manner. Karlach for example, her absolute love of animals, and Caitlyn's more reclusive nature, or Vi's heart on her sleeve, and Aylin's protectiveness. I like to think I am in some way like them which allows me to bring them to life even more through this connection.

I read ch 1 of DM and my god you took your sweet time because its LONG!!

If am not wrong the story happens before the kraang invasion and leo - YET AGAIN - try to escape the leader responsibility, i know the DM is 4 chapters but that makes me more worried about little leo's faith and how this would effect him, will he even start leading at 16?!

Am fighting to know HOW the two switch places/timelines? Could it be that the two leos opened the portals at the same time so it somehow clashes?

Back to the chapter, i had crazy fun reading Leonardo's part since raph kept saying " LEO IS OLD!! " and am over here laughing, i wasn't surprise when leo forgot where draxum lives because as Donnie said " a decade had passed " and if he's late 20s which could be idk... 28... 29 then it's been 12 - 13 years.

Leo enter the apartment for draxum to protect himself by a fork... A MF FORK AM WEAK!! 🤣

Then after they calm down and leo giving them 5 questions to ask and mikey & Donnie mess it up - as usual/hj - I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN RAPH SMACK DONNIE WITH THE BUNNY SLIPPER XDD COMPLETE ASIAN MOM BEHAVIOR!!!

That until leo answers the 4th question and the chapter ends there... It makes me think the kids could save the 5th question until before leo leave back to his timeline, maybe asks what causes the future to be like this?

All in all, i never thought i would love DM from the beginning because am not good with angst, i subbed to the story, put kudo on it already so i won't mess any new updates out!!

Listen. Distorted Mirror used to be planned as a 20k~ oneshot. That’s it. But with those first POVs I already knew I was greatly underestimating my need to write. And I thought I could salvage it as a oneshot by plotting out exactly what I wanted and what I could exclude. But then I hated it as the oneshot it became.

So I erased a good amount, rearranged some scenes/dialogue and replotted the outline and here we are. I still need to fill in the pieces from the oneshot used to be for the upcoming chapters hehe

Anyways~

Yes, Leo’s timeline takes place after the shredder fight (after season 2) and Leonardo’s timeline takes place 10 years after the krang invaded. I think I’m going off of someone’s calculations of Leo being 17 sometime after s2, so Leonardo is 27!

About the switcheroo, we’ll just have to wait for the specifics but you’re close!

Everybody laugh at the old guy! /aff (Leonardo is only a few years older than me…) but this is seriously doing some heavy mental damage on Raph’s sanity being face to face with a Leo that’s a decade older lol

The Saga comics for the fandom ask

M/F OTP: as I told you I wanted to catch up with the comics (and Monstress for the other ask) before I answered this (65 issues so far... #66 initially came out next week but it's been pushed back to September)... but I strongly suspected what my answer was going to be lmfao.

The only romance I'm here for it's Alana/Marko. It's foundational to the story, it's impactful. I love the star-crossed shit, I love the real messiness in their marriage, and I love the PAIN and ANGST they cause me *cries in issue 54*.

And... they made Hazel. I love that girl to pieces. And not only did they make her but also they raised her like this:

[Redacted]: Last Night, [my son] and I had a disagreement. In the heat of the moment, I may have inadvertently… laid hands upon him. Alana: You hurt your own child?! Hazel (narrating): Despite all the violence I’d seen by then, this was the first time I had ever considered that parents could do anything but love and protect their kids.

The usual caveats: not a lot, only when he “really deserved it”, never too hard, they were just trying to raise a good boy, products of another time... you get the idea. Still, my father always felt it had done a number on him. So before Mom and Dad had me, they promised each other they’d never resort to spankings or whatever, no matter how much I might misbehave. And they never did. Even though I was plenty bad. Somehow, I managed to turn out all right.” Saga #54

Hazel's life is next-level chaos. One look at her -at the horns in her head and the wings on her back- betrays her mixed heritage between two warring empires and puts a target on her back. But these two, whatever their flaws might be, tried their hardest to give her safety and joy during her childhood against all odds and in conscious direct opposition to their own upbringings*, and I love them for that.

*we don't know as much about Alana's youth (yet) but we know her father ends up marrying a girl she went to summer camp with and that she joined the army "to escape" so err... yeah.

And the 'timeline' doesn't make sense, I absolutely don't know how some stuff could be put into the canon timeline so yep accept it doesn't make sense sometimes x'))

And I am really not good to write serious/angsty stuff because I prefer shitpost so idk if that's really angsty or not :00 (and there are still some stupid stuff here too I couldn't stop myself XD)

-Mei once joked that the mystery kids had at least one thing in common and it was having an identity crisis. It hit a little bit too close to home for all of them and they never mentioned it again. 

-Shinigami knows all the people who will die/died in the school. When Sousuke learned that he asked if he was the one who took care of the human Sousuke’s soul and if he talked to him. Hakubo didn’t come out of his boundary for a week and number 3 dropped the subject because he understood the other didn’t know how to answer. 

-Akane and Sousuke have a complicated relationship because Akane knows the other is jealous of him (how can he be human and supernatural at the same time? It’s not fair). Akane has a soft spot for him because he understands how he wants to be human even if only a little. He tries to explain human stuff as best as he can (even if he is pretty terrible at it since he is 12 oops). Sousuke tries to do as many things as humans, it drives his supernatural ‘life’ and it is sometimes really hard to watch how much he tries but can’t interact with anyone or do things like real humans.

Akane realized he actually met the real Mitsuba Sousuke who was the first human he met who was able to see him as a supernatural. He understood really recently that the reason the real Sousuke was able to see him was because he would die soon. 

Number 3 discovered it while looking through a window’s memories once and didn’t talk to Akane for two weeks because he felt betrayed he never told him. Akane managed to apologize for not telling him because he was afraid number 3 would think he talked to him only because he met the human Sousuke.

-Tsuchigomori knew all of the mystery kids before their deaths (or their human counterparts). He decided not to interfere too much because he can’t but still helped the real Mei to continue her art classes when she went into the hospital and was the one who said the photography club would be great for human Sousuke. 

Number 4 knows because she has some of the memories of the previous Mei and Number 3 saw it in the mirrors. They all pretend they don’t know. 

-Tsuchi absolutely hates the fact he doesn’t know what is gonna happen to the other mysteries especially number 3 and 4 since they are supernatural. Akane’s book is pretty much like every other human except for his future which is really really blurry, because of his supernatural status. Some pages are pitch black because he is in between, and Tsuchi absolutely hates that. He hates being unable to do things when he knows what is going to happen, but the others say they prefer him to stay with them rather than disappear.

(I am not sure if mysteries have any books? because maybe here it could be their books (that’s mostly because I think it’s cute Tsuchigomori keep them in his secret place with his yorishiro ahaha))

-When he saw that Akane was chosen to be number 1 he only helped him but from far away (letting him take books about supernaturals to better understand what he was). The first time they interacted was when Akane got sick when he was 13 and he couldn’t go ask any humans since his body doesn’t react the same way (so he would have been placed in a hospital or something like that even for just a cold, since his body reactions are really weird for a normal human). Akane has a low tension and his body is colder than a human’s body. His temperature is around 35° most of the time and he gets super sick because his fever can go up to 39°. Whenever he is sick he goes into a boundary so people don’t realize he isn’t here (because whenever you are in a boundary people forgets you). Akane was mad af to see that someone had been watching him, knowing he didn’t know if he was going absolutely crazy for a year because he could see stuff no one else could see and didn’t do anything to help him. He understood much later why Tsuchi couldn’t do anything and that he was the one helping him from far away.

-Yako has those bad  moods where she doesn’t want to talk to anybody around the date of Misaki’s death, they let her be most of the time. Mei is the one who is the most approachable around Shijima Mei’s date of death and they never guessed when Hanako died because he never changes his behavior most of the time. 

-Number 3 likes to be called Sousuke by the other mysteries (because humans have two names! He wants two names too!) Sometimes he doesn’t feel like being called that way, (especially around human Sousuke’s date of death) as he is only a ‘cheap copy’ of the real Mitsuba Sousuke, so he stays with Mitsuba or number 3 if he feels really bad. The others respect this and Mei proposed him to call her Number 4 when he is in those moods so he isn’t alone. 

He refuses to see Akane during those periods most of the time (his jealousy can be really strong towards him). Akane pretends he isn’t really hurt by this but number 4 always ends up telling nicely to number 3 that the redhead didn’t choose to be this way either. Number 3 ends up giving him something he tried to cook alone or invites him to chill in his boundary with only the two of them.

-Number 3 and 4 have a really strong bond. Even if number 4 doesn’t really see herself in the human Mei she knows she still has a part of her soul in her and number 3 knows she is the one who understands his worries the most. She listens to him when he is talking about becoming humans even if they both know it can’t come true. He has a little mirror in her boundary he can use to come whenever he wants.  

-Sousuke absolutely HATES the fact that Mei doesn’t mind disappearing at all. She never wanted to be a mystery when he wanted to be one so much. She kinda knows now she has some reasons to stay and had to tell Sousuke several times that no she wasn’t going to disappear now. 

-Number 3 actually thinks a lot of what the real Sousuke's mom would think of him. (He saw her in a mirror because she went for student orientation days) He is really jealous of Sousuke because of this too but he is absolutely afraid to imagine if his mom knew a 'monster' has her son's apparence.

-Number 4 is really sensitive when talking about Mei mostly because she thinks she doesn't deserve to be her creation and that she stained her memory a lot. She tries to be more proud of what human Mei decided for her now.

-Mei has operation marks under her uniform because human Mei had some and drew them on her drawing. She doesn’t mind people seeing them at all , contrary to Hanako who always wears tons of layers to hide his scars.

-In terms of pain resistance, Mei doesn’t feel anything, Hanako is pretty careful with wounds and Sousuke is scared of anything which could hurt him. Their main problem is Akane who absolutely doesn’t give a fck about his injuries because he has a high pain resistance . They often have to tell him that no he doesn’t have to go into suicide mode for them and protect them from everything because if he is badly hurt he will DIE contrary to the others. That’s something he is still working on (accepting to see the others getting hurt for him, because they can’t die as easily as him). Mei is actually the one who goes the most suicide mode most of the time, using her power way too much and ending up being nearly powerless for some days after. 

-Number 4 can create a lot of clones and has to put a bit of her personality in each of them. If she creates too much for something once she gets rid of them she is sometimes unable to show any emotions for a week. She never deleted the ‘bad’ clone which is only just a brush and is the one who she uses the most. She knows this brush is one of her earliest clone she created before going crazy to try to save Mei, so the brush’s opinion is kinda important to her; (it’s like a good voice she hears in the back of her head when she is trying to do something stupid) 

-Even if Hanako pretends to always smile and jokes he is definitely the edgiest of the mystery kids. They don’t annoy him when he is in one of ‘those moods’. He feels like he is not loved at all by the others and Tsuchi often has to tell him that they just are very wary of him and if he opened up a little bit more it would be okay. (and that he loves him *sobs*) That they still love him but would like to understand him more.

-When Hanako refuses to assume his role as Hanako-san sometimes (especially at the beginning) his body starts to be really transparent with a wound around his stomach. It is when he feels too human. It hasn’t happened to him for a long time now since he doesn’t recognize himself in Amane Yugi. Hanako was human once but has lost most of his connections with humans because he has been a mystery for a long time, he doesn’t know what is left of Amane Yugi. He has a really really hard time to learn things or to change his mind because he isn’t growing up anymore and it drives him crazy especially because he knows that he used to remember everything quickly when he was human.

-When Akane started spending more and more time with the mysteries, Tsuchigomori had to remind the other mystery kids to take it easy on it and to let him time to sleep (now they are the ones who force him to go to sleep most of the time). Even if his body can go a whole week without sleeping or eating (but that’s really the maximum and if he does this he is gonna have to push himself a lot. He never went a whole week like this; his maximum was 4 days.)

 -Sousuke goes to see Hanako during class time sometimes and they play games together (Hanafuda most of the time) They get along okay and can accept each other's company. Sometimes, Hanako teases him about the fact he does things to imitate humans (like sleeping or eating) and Sousuke always tells him how much of a hypocrite he is and that’s why no one wants to stay too long with him. When Number 3 gets really mad at Hanako’s teasing (he uses it to say a lot of things that are not really nice) he calls him Amane-senpai and that makes him shut up and hides in his boundary right away. They rarely apologize orally but go back to normal some days after, accepting they both went too far but too prideful to say they were wrong.

-No one talks about the time when Akane will leave. 

-One day Sousuke went to see Tuschi nearly crying, to apologize because he saw in the mirrors that he used to be friends with the old number 3. Tsuchigomori had to tell him several times that he didn’t hate him at all because of this (Tsuchi would die for all of them) and that he knows it’s not his fault the old bird died. 

-Mirai is not allowed to go out of the boundary. Akane doesn’t really know why except for her causing some ruckus she isn’t that bad. Especially because the youngest doesn’t seem to understand what is sad about her situation, because she is always happy to have someone ‘escort’ her everywhere she goes (when they are here to prevent her from doing anything.) Akane will learn later that it’s because she used to ‘kill’ students on accident (because she didn’t control her powers entirely or at least didn't see the problem in doing this) with moving their time too much forward and even if Kako can turn back time it is really difficult to do when the person is dead and just… a pile of dust and the kids who went through this will always be more fragile after.

-All mysteries have a hard time to taste things. Mostly Mei because she is at first made from paper. Everything she creates also has a paper texture/taste if she can't get a good idea of it.

-Akane once decided to go see the graves of Sousuke Mitsuba and Mei Shijima to put flowers on it (because the others clearly wanted to do something during obon but can’t leave the school (the only other place Mei can go is the hospital and she didn’t go for a long time because why would she?) Tsuchi definitely tagged along with the most ridiculous excuse ever. Akane was unable to go see Hanako’s because he refused to tell him his real name. (and he knows the other two know it, he is kinda jealous and doesn’t feel included because of what they lived during the perfect picture arc sometimes. He is also the only one not knowing who Tsukasa is) He realized later because Tsuchigomori told him not directly, it’s because Hanako doesn’t have a grave. He once came across Mitsuba’s mother and had to lie about his connection to him, saying he was his senpai and just went to check the students’ graves because it’s his job as the vice president (full bullshit Akane, well done)

-Tsuchigomori is the one the most used to change the rumor/keep them okay (he tells them to his students) and Akane is the second option among the mysteries (he tells them to Aoi indirectly, he hates to do this but he knows he has no choice sometimes.) Akane knows the clock keepers rumor is the one which has changed the least since he is here (and maybe even before) and he understood it’s because of him. He didn’t ask why though. They are all using Nene a lot to change the rumors if anything happen. 

-Yako, Tsuchigomori and Hakubo often go to see Kako to have ‘adult meetings’ because they are the most responsible mysteries and also think that the others can spend more time having fun, it wouldn’t hurt.

-Hakubo never talks about Sumire and Yako often goes to see him when he is even more quiet than usual and will force him to go out of his boundary to go see the garden and annoy the Kodama tree (who is really easy to annoy). 

-Tsuchigomori, Yako and Kako are trying to find a hobby for Hakubo because he doesn't know what to do without having orders. (He usually listens mostly to Kako and then Hanako). Akane hates him with his whole being and the others kids are not super fan of him at first. Even if he doesn't say anything, the others 'adults' can say that he would love to be a little bit more expressive and loved by every mysteries.

-When any of them fight, it’s dirty, like really. They are supernatural. They will stand their ground because they think they are right and think they definitely know what is better for others. Accusations can be really violent and some of them can even stop talking to each other for weeks. They rarely forgive the others, they just know they will have to work together again at one point and that they still care for them in the end. It is really hard to make them change their minds, especially between each other. Humans are the ones who are able to change their minds at least a little. Akane is known for being stubborn but he met the mysteries and realized that maybe he was okay?

Anyway as soon as Seb said he had something to tell Carlos I got SUPER nervous and I was pausing so much but as soon as I started to say it and I saw the subtitles I literally screamed and his for like 3 minutes straight 😭 xd. Y'all I am living my worst life right now lol xd.

And THEN I was like okay so Jarred, is this the dancer, an ex, the guy he cheated with, or both Carlos's ex AND the guy Seb cheated with. Luckily it's just the dancer xd. Not great news, still, but, you know lol.

Just. Wow xd. Leave this man ALONE!! Like in the angst department 😭. I mena I love it but come on xdd. Anyway lol!! They seriously are all going through it though lol xD.

Anyway!! This episode was absolutely AMAZING and I loved and despised it :DD. How could you do this to me :')). The music was amazing (y'all that first song was SO FREAKING COOL!!! I loved it it was wild :DDD)!! Both songs were so good, and COMPLETE opposites lol. Despite partially being about the same thing xD. Like storyline wise lol (as in at least a bit about Ashlyn and Maddox being sus). Anyway! The drama was off the CHARTS and it was just a really good episode all around :)). I did genuinely enjoy it lol xdd. Still though, I am going to kill someone <3. I don't know who, but somebody :) xd. And Carlos is death so he's in on it, he'll help me with it lol.

Anyway xD. It was great. I am so freaking scared for the next episode and episodes, thank you :')). But SO EXCITED!! Still dying though lol <333.

Thoughts on the New York Special!

I never thought I’d see such an episode but here we are. I think I screamed a dozen times or more, I’m not even sure. But I have a sore, scratchy throat to show for it and I’m okay with that. Most of it was at how many times Adrien kept being not-just-a-friend and both secondhand embarrassment and pity for Marinette’s attempt to see him only as a friend kicked in. But I’ll start from the beginning. No, the voice actors aren’t different, the audio’s been manipulated and is pitched down! **Except Nino. Nino’s voice actor resigned and has been replaced**

Ladynoir friendship + a glimpse of their Astro forms? Heck yes!

Ms. Bustier having a baby was something I had a feeling about but can’t actually believe it’s happening and I’m just so happy for her. Best teacher award should go to her and her student’s reactions just prove that.

You know, instead of what a good girlfriend/love interest/friend would do and try to sympathize and attempt to make him feel better, she pushes aside his feelings and makes it about her... Oh Kagami, this won’t bode well. Poor Adrien deserves better than being told he and his feelings aren’t as important. He gets plenty of that at home.

LUKA IS THE BEST FRIEND EVER UGH. How many girls have a guy in their life that has feelings for them, yes, but still would do anything that would make her happy, even be with someone else? Who would go to lengths to make sure things work out how she wants them?

Okay, the whole plane scene before everyone fell asleep was intense. I can feel Marinette’s anxiety and desperation so hard, I feel so bad.

I also feel bad that Adrien sounded disappointed by her not sitting by him (and probably doesn’t quite understand why she won’t, either) as well as Ms. Mendeleiev knowing her students think less of her than Ms. Bustier and doesn’t like that.

AND also that both Marinette and Adrien for having to feel guilty for making a trip out of the country. :/ Nobody deserves it more than them.

Poor Adrien’s traumatized now. He knows he’s lucky she wasn’t human and things worked out, but he also knows that he came this close to Cataclysming Ladybug, and he couldn’t deal with that.

Liiri is so cute I want to see more of her! Very grateful she doesn’t end up in the hands of Gabriel for long.

But really Gabriel, it would’ve been smarter to take it to Paris than give it to a villain in New York where it ends up with a superhero. xD

Couldn’t you see that he was just waiting for you to tell him to stay?” “He made his choice. What did you expect me to do?” “It doesn’t matter what I expected you to do! Who’s Adrien to you? A friend or more than a friend? There will never be a better time to be clear with yourself, Marinette! Do you want him to leave or do you want him to stay?”

Within minutes, Marinette said the same thing about both Chat Noir and Adrien. o.o

Also hold up. If what Alya’s saying is true, which very well could be considering how he went from looking sad but still smiling, to looking utterly crushed after saying that line to her and her reaction, and the fact he said it before... Along with every single thing he did the whole trip.... Are we missing something, here? At first I thought it’s just Adrien being Adrien but about to actually acknowledge his feelings, just not yet. Seeing just the trailer I thought it was gratitude maybe, but obviously this is much more than that. But is it possible at all that he already has and, considering how she’s told him she doesn’t have feelings for him more than once before, that he’s been hoping to drive her to say otherwise this entire time and find out if she actually really does have feelings for him? 🤔

Because dang that’d explain everything he’s been doing.

I know he’s hurting over what happened with Uncanny Valley and giving up his Miraculous and leaving Ladybug. But it

So Majestia decided to just blow skyscrapers far through the city and into the water that would no doubt kill everyone inside... in New York City...where skyscrapers were literally destroyed in real life killing thousands? I really hope this isn’t supposed to be a kind of reference.

Also the President of the United States being a superheroine that’s in harms way interacting with supervillains that can do horrific things such as forcing her to spill national secrets or use her power from things such as mind control to control the nation, for example, probably isn’t the smartest thing to do. Cool for plot but dang that’s dangerous.

Majestia is like Captain Marvel because she’s the only other superhero I’m familiar with that could launch a rocket to the sun with her hands.

The animation in this is so beautiful. I haven’t said it yet, but some of the scenes are so breathtaking.

I’m sad that Aeon won’t remember they’re Ladybug and Chat Noir, but surely she’ll remember Adrien, Marinette, Ladybug, and Chat Noir right? x.x

This special was as if they took the best from S1-S3, then threw in a bunch of amazing new things that I couldn’t have thought would happen, and gave us such an amazing special. Also that it opened up things for the next special and S4! I don’t think I could’ve asked for much better. I’ve missed this show terribly and love that it’s back in a way.

Also terribly sorry for such a long post but I mean the thing was 52 minutes long after all. xD

My day started like any other. 

Woke up to Asra’s soft snoring and Faust’s little tongue blepping out as they snuggled together on their half of the bed. I was a bit groggy and my body ached, but I got up and ready for the day. 

Making breakfast I thought about what I would for the day. Nadia and Portia were out. Julian was making housecalls all day, I didn’t know what Asra was going to do but judging by his snores he would be asleep for a while. 

A grin broke it’s way across my face as I thought about visiting Muriel. I’ve been meaning to say hi again to the ladies (the chickens) and give Inanna a gift I had made for her a bit ago. 

I finished up breakfast and hurried to get my things together. Surprised, I found no Asra in our bed. He must’ve left while I was eating. 

It was no matter, I had a mountain man to see! My heart fluttered a little as I thought about him, he just...he made me so happy. 

His little blushes, when he actually smiled. Oh that soft smile was killer. I couldn’t be mad or sad when he gave me that soft little smile. 

My skin buzzed as I thought about touching him. Running my hands along his arm as we talked (me talking more, chattering on about what was going on in the shop and what everyone was doing while he listened, nodding along).

I seemed to skip on my way to his house, humming a happy song I heard a while back from Julian. 

“Hi little Apprentice! How are you?” Selasi called, smiling at me. I waved vigorously, grinning back at him.

“I’m doing great Selasi! Going to see a friend!”

“Would you like some pumpkin bread for the lucky person? New batch is coming out of the oven now!”

I pursed my lips, fighting back another large grin. “Okay! I brought enough for it anyways!”

“Ohh dear you don’t need to pay I’ll make it special for you!”

“Selasi this is a very poor business you’re running,” I chided with a laugh. “Let me pay for it, please.”

He sighed before laughing. “Stubborn as ever, fine. But it’s half off. Just for you.” He winked, making me roll my eyes. I would not win this fight.  

I paid for the bread, Selasi handing it to me in a small bundle. The spices wafted up to my face, making me sigh with happiness. 

Selasi laughed, waving me off as I headed back to the forest. “Have fun up there apprentice!”

I waved back with a large smile. “I will!”

It didn’t take long for me to get to the forest and begin my trek through it. My cloak got caught on a few branches but it didn’t do anything to sway my mood. I was determined to stay happy today.

Today was going to be a good day. 

Turning against the now beaten path, I spotted Muriel’s hut. I picked up my cloak and started to run, the chickens running around my feet, cooing at me. I bent over to run my hands along their backs. Their feathers were so soft, almost like silk. 

I wondered if he used a charm when bathing them, or maybe they just were taken care of so well their feathers reflected it.

“Hey ladies, can you point me in the direction of Muriel?” I asked, one of the chickens squawking like a reply. 

I nodded, pretending to understand. “Oh! He’s inside his hut? Thank you darling I’ll head there right away.” Another squawk. “And bring food out. Don’t worry.”

Tucking the bread into my side, I made my way to his door. I wanted to surprise him with the pumpkin bread, he seemed to like it a lot. Even asked Selasi for the recipe (the former replying with a wink saying ‘that’s a family secret’)

I could hear muffled voices when I got to the door. The door was cracked open. I tensed, magic sparking at my fingertips. 

Then I heard Asra’s voice and relaxed. I smiled again. He was here! Great! He would be ecstatic over the pumpkin bread I brought.

I snuck closer, listening to their conversation. It sounded heated. I stopped moving. “-I just hate how touchy she is!” Muriel’s voice. 

I froze. 

Was...was he talking about me? I was the only person to touch him as often as I did but...

“Muriel she doesn’t mean any harm by it! She’s just friendly!”

“Yes but I don’t like it when she gets so close to me like that. Like she’s always got to be touching me or she’ll die.”

I froze. 

When Asra dropped my name my blood ran cold in my veins. 

“Muriel she’s just being friendly. She loves you and she loves being around you. Touch is how she communicates that!”

“Yes but she talks so much and I never can get away. She always so touchy and always talking. It makes my head hurt. What if I want to be alone?!”

Asra let out a small sigh. “I understand. I know what you’re feeling but Muriel please understand she loves touch and she loves having conversations with you.”

“She just talks too much. Touches too much. It’s all too much.”

Each word was a knife to my heart. 

I did talk too much. I did touch him too much. And he hated me for it. Of course he hated me for it. 

Tears sprung up in my eyes. I didn’t know any of this. He never told me any of this.

I thought he was fine with it, used to it!

It just hurt so badly. 

Swiping at my eyes I turned and started to run. I dropped the pumpkin bread along the way but I didn’t care. I just needed to get away from them. Away from Muriel especially.

I let out a choked sob, tree branches scratching my arms and my cheeks. My tears fell faster and faster, my stomach curdling. All hopes for a good day were dashed. 

Tripping on a branch I went sprawling, my cries getting stuck in my throat as I pushed myself to sit upright. My hands were scratched up and they stung but I didn’t care. My cries were silent, my chest heaved and my body trembled. 

There was a cracking of twigs to my left. I tensed, but it was only Faust.

Friend?

I sniffed. “I’m fine Faust. Go back to Asra.” She flicked her tongue at me.

Friend hurt!

“Faust I’m fine.” I snapped. She blinked, and she stopped swaying. I wanted to bite back my words. Just because I was hurt and upset didn’t mean I could make her feel like that. “Faust I’m...sorry. I just...”

Muriel? Touch? Friend sad.

I nodded. “Nailed it right on the head.” She slithered closer, curling onto my lap. I ran my hand along her head and down the coil of her body.

Faust help.

“I don’t know if you can help...Muriel hates me. I’m so stupid!” My hands shook. My head was starting to hurt. Dizziness would soon set in. My hands, arms and face were still bleeding. 

Friend not stupid! Friend smart!

“Friend hurt another friend by not picking up body language clues.” Faust looked down at my bloodied palms.

Friend needs help.

I smiled, tears rolling down my cheeks. “Yeah. Yeah. I’ll just go home. A-And sleep.” My voice cracked as I spoke. “I want this all to be a dream,” I whispered to the snake on my lap.

The day had just started and I already wanted it to be over.

Faust curled around my arm. Faust come with friend.

I got to my feet, my legs shaking under me. I’d go home, clean up, sleep...and then....figure something out from there. 

“Thank you Faust,” I said softly making my way home.

The days after that moved slow and sluggish. Asra watched me, concerned with my wellbeing. I didn’t eat much. And I was sleeping more. 

I knew he knew. When he brought back the cheesecloth the bread was in I knew he knew. 

He didn’t mention it. We only went about our days. 

Me only talking to Faust in fractured sentences. Whenever I saw Muriel I kept silent unless he spoke first. 

I never touched anyone, keeping my hands curling into my sides, tucked into my arms. 

Just not touching him.

He seemed to notice my behaviour with a wrinkle in his brow and a small huff. 

I didn’t care. I didn’t care.

I didn’t care about how my skin ached without touch. I didn’t care about how I wanted to cry every time to open my mouth to give a short answer to a question or conversation. 

I didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. I didn’t want him to hate me.

So I swallowed into myself.

“Damn it all!“

Right now you were running all the way to what seemed to be the center of the battlefield where your boyfriend Aizawa was supposed to be fighting against Overhaul, the leader of the crime organization ‘Shie Hassaikai’.

Or at least that is what a very injured Mirio had told you just a few minutes ago. Nighteye had apparently given him the task to protect Eri and try to escape with her. Hoping to be of some help you tried using your quirk on him and successfully managed to rewind and heal the stab wounds around his torso.

You had a similar quirk to Eri’s and that was the exact reason as to why the pro heroes were against you joining the mission, so why were you here anyway? Well the answer was quite easy...you snuck in and tried fighting as sneaky as possible alongside the other heroes.

The reason why you decided to be a rebel despite all of the warnings you got from people close to you, was because of something Aizawa had told you just before he left for today’s mission.

‘There are things in life that only we can do, no matter how dangerous or unreasonable they are.’

That were his last words before he kissed your forehead and left for duty.

You knew that his words were meant to calm you down, but they actually did the exact opposite.

After he had left you thought about what you could do with your similar quirk and all you came up with was to sneak in, pretend you were a part of the mission and sacrifice yourself.

It was the worst possible plan, it was stupid and you knew all that but you were desperate. Desperate to finally free Aizawa from all the stress he had to endure for this mission. Sleepless nights, nightmares or even days on which he didn’t return home. You witnessed it all and it pained you seeing him like that...so you decided to put an end to his own and his colleagues’ suffering, by doing the only think you could do.

Sacrifice yourself...

“(Y/N)?! What are you doing here...?”

Nighteye’s question brought you back to the present.

You had finally arrived at the battlefield and watched the horror that unfolded in front of your very own eyes.

Nighteye was hurt, bleeding and lying on the floor.

Midoriya’s whole body was bruised and scratched while he fought against Overhaul.

And there, close to Midoriya was Aizawa who had his quirk activated but luckily enough, he wasn’t hurt as badly as the others.  

Before you could call out to him, you saw someone slowly creep up behind your boyfriend, but luckily...you were quicker.

“Eraserhead, behind you!”

Chrono unfortunately beat both of you to it and managed to pin Aizawa down while pressing a knife to his neck.

“Don’t move or he’ll die.“

That warning was meant for you as well as for Midoriya, who had to fall back in order to ensure his teacher’s safety.

Meanwhile Overhaul just giggled darkly at your failed attempt to rescue the black haired man. With a small nod towards his underling, the villain began a monologue on how he’ll get Eri to come back to him and that was your call.

“Overhaul, wait!”

This was the first time Aizawa actually turned to you and one didn’t have to be an expert to notice how mad he was to see you here, but that was the last thing on your mind right now.

With confident steps you slowly made your way towards the masked villain who eyed you from head to toe.

“(H/N)! What do you think you’re doing?!”

Completely ignoring the blade which was slowly piercing his neck’s skin, Aizawa’s eyes were glued to you and no matter what kind of comment he threw at you, you kept on walking and pretending not to hear his pleas.

“Now now...you shouldn’t interrupt (L/N) here, can’t you see that we’re striking a deal right now?”

You weren’t surprised to hear your last name coming from the villain’s mouth. He as well had done his researches...considering your quirk how could he possibly not do them?

He had played with the thought of kidnapping you as well (just in case that Eri’s body would give out some day), but he would’ve never expected to hear that exact same thought coming from the person in question. There was only one problem. You actually demanded for your comrades’ safety and Eri’s freedom. It didn’t seem like that bad of a deal, since Eri was just a child which makes her less durable than a full grown adult like you, additionally her powers have yet to achieve their true potential while yours were basically your second nature.

Overhaul nodded after a short while, signalizing his agreement. Fighting over a small and mentally unstable child wasn’t worth the trouble nor the casualties, so he didn’t want to prolong this conversation any further. He also didn’t know when you might actually change your mind, so for him the clock was already ticking.

“Don’t leave me! P-Please (Y/N)...”

You were just one step away from sacrificing yourself, but Aizawa’s voice finally reached your ears and what he had just said broke your heart in thousand pieces.

What am I doing...?

Overhaul saw the determination you had a few seconds ago, vanish from your eyes so he immediately grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him, making it harder for you to escape his grasp.

Now matter how much you or your boyfriend struggled against your opponents neither you nor Aizawa could escape their grasp. Midoriya and Nighteye couldn’t intervene and risk both of your lives, so they had to stand by and watch helplessly as the both of you were being separated from one another.

The only thing the two of you were able to do was to extend your hands towards each other and call out the other’s name. Nighteye had just closed his eyes for what seemed to be a few seconds, but these seconds turned out to be several minutes during which Midoriya’s injuries had doubled, Aizawa as well as Eri who was alongside Mirio were gone and you had apparently arrived. He felt your arms wrapped around his sore body, but what he didn’t feel anymore was his injury...he figured that that was your doing so he looked up at you with a thankful and relieved expression.

“(Y/N)...y-you’re here”

Your boyfriend was happy to have you here next to him, but considering the situation you guys were in, it would’ve been better for you to completly stay out of this fight. So he sat up and held onto your hand, determined to get you out of here.

“(Y/N) you need to go and call for reinforcements. I’ll be helping Midoriya out while you-“

“No Sasaki. I may have healed your wound, but you still need to rest so stay and I’ll help Deku out...got that?“

Nighteye looked up at you and saw your eyes glistening with something else than determination, he trusted you but he had a feeling that you had an entirely different plan than the one you had just suggested.

You saw how hesitant your boyfriend was to answer and you felt like the more time he used to think about it, the quicker he might catch onto your plan and that mustn’t happen.

Sasaki was surprised to see you get on your knees in front of him and holding onto his hands,your actions began to scare him a little.

“Do you trust me?“

His eyes visibly widened after hearing your question, the fear he had earlier slowly began consuming him. Nighteye wanted to nod, but he feared what you might do next if he said ‘yes’. That’s when he came up with an idea.

What if I used my quirk on (Y/N)...?

Luckily you had never been against it before, so he wasn’t as afraid as he thought he’d be to read your future but desperate times call for desperate measures.

He began concentrating and calming down his nerves so that he could calmly look into your eyes and see what your plan looked like...but you were quicker.

You slowly raised your hand, softly moved his glasses away and covered his eyes causing him to flinch lightly.

“Please don’t...not yet. Just trust me Sasaki.”

Before he could answer you kissed his lips ever so gently and soon you felt him kissing you back. After a short while you got up slowly and smiled at your boyfriend as you turned your back to him and began walking towards Midoriya and Overhaul.

I woke up teary eyed and completely drenched in sweat.

That dream again...damn it.

How many times does this make already?

Since Overhaul took (Y/N) away from me there wasn’t even one night on which I haven’t dreamed about that one moment.

The mission was considered a success in the end, but not for me...

Since I had seen All Might’s Future back then, I was afraid to look into anyone else's....but now?

After I’ve lost my most precious person...this is something I am going to regret not doing for the rest of my life.

To put it frankly, you just don’t know anymore...

These past few minutes you were running around beating up villains left and right, thanks to the order you had received to support any hero you came across and help them save Eri.

You knew that the girl should be your top priority at the moment, but you couldn’t deny the fact that the worry for your boyfriend Taishiro (also known as Fatgum) was way bigger than that for the girl.

“(Y/N)? Is that you?!”

Your boyfriend’s voice suddenly called out to you from one of the rooms, startling and making you stop in your tracks.

“Taishiro!“

Seeing him in his skinny form was something you weren’t used to since it only occurred when he used up too much of his power.

You looked around in order to catch a glimpse of his momentary situation. Him and Red Riot were fighting against two peculiar looking man whose appearance was clearly different than that of the other evil guys, they looked....stronger.

“Listen, you need to go and help with the fight against Overhaul!”

At your boyfriend’s sudden order your eyes went wide.

“W-What? You can’t be serious...I can’t leave the two of you alone! Look at yourself...you and Kirishima are badly hurt, so-”

“(Y/N)! This is not the time for worry, we’re on a mission right now. Concentrate on the important things!”

It surprised you to hear him sound that cold and it hurt your feelings a little, but you decided to suck it up. You had to admit that you were quite the worrywart when it came to your boyfriend and that was sometimes inappropriate...like right now.

With a small but hesitant nod you exited the room and once again began running at full speed, but now you at least had a clear goal in mind.

“Don’t worry Kirishima. You did an amazing job and deserve some rest.“

After fighting two members of the Eight Bullets and winning against them, Fatgum needed to take a breather and think about what to do from now on. So alongside his enemies, he went to the aid room and began taking care of his disciple while his thoughts wandered back to you.

He wondered if the things he said were perhaps to harsh and thinking about the possibility of having hurt you with his words, only made his heart drop.

If there had been another hero by his side right now, he wouldn’t have hesitated to run and look for you, but right now all he could do was wait...

After what felt like hours reinforcements had finally arrived and happily delivered the message of the mission’s success. Everyone was in good spirits and felt relieved and now, all Taishiro wanted to do was wrap his arms around you and kiss you all over.

So when he saw Sir Nighteye, Aizawa and Midoriya standing together while talking to an injured Mirio he just knew that you had to be somewhere close to them as well...so he began jogging in their direction, completely ignoring the pain throughout his body.

But he soon noticed that something wasn’t right...

When the trio saw him approaching, their facial expressions suddenly changed. Now they looked somewhat sad.

“Hey you guys! Have you seen (Y/N)? As far as I remember she should’ve been with you.”

“Well yes...she was”

Nighteye was the first to speak up. He took a quick glance at his surroundings and took a deep breath.

“In order to protect us and Eri, (Y/N)....went with Overhaul.”

After processing what the man with the glasses had said, Taishiro felt like he had been run over by a giant truck.

W-What did he just say...?

“W-Wait...you mean to tell me that you guys just stood by and let her sacrifice herself just like that?“

It was Aizawa’s turn to talk now so he stepped forward.

“There wasn’t anything we could do, we tried to talk her out of it, but she kept on insisting.“

“I don’t care if (Y/N) did! The two of you are pro heroes damn it, you could’ve sto-, no...you should’ve stopped her even if she resisted!“

They continued arguing back and forth, getting more heated with each passing minute. Mirio and Midoriya didn’t know if they should or even could do anything to stop them at this point, so they remained silent.

Suddenly Fatgum felt a gentle tug on his shorts which caused him to pause his argument and look down.

He found himself looking into a pair of big red eyes which belonged to none other than Eri, who was holding out a small pendant to him.

“The nice Miss that saved me, told me to give this to a big, cuddly looking and yellow dressed man...I think she might’ve meant you.“

A little reluctant he took it from her small hands and looked at it. 

He gasped as he realized what kind of pendant that was. 

“(Y/N)...“

Seeing the muscular man fall to his knees and gently caress the small object in his big hand was surprising and heartbreaking at the same time.

Between his silent sobs, he softly pet Eri’s head and thanked her several times.

The pendant he now held close to his heart was the first present he had given you. It had your and his name engraved on the outside and on the inside there was a small photo of the two of you cuddling.

When you received it, he made you promise him to always carry it with you...until the end of your days.

I read part of a YOI fanfic where Viktor cheated on Yuuri with Yuri (gross and it was not even labeled) and it was pretty ... ehh. But I wanted to ask you - is cheating more common or accepted in Russia? The author seemed to think so. I could not tell if it was because they truly have a more realistic and gritty version of Russia or because of anti-Russian sentiment. It seems strange because my understanding was that cheating was actually way more common in Japan than Russia. Japan’s economy, it is said, would collapse without cheating culture (according to a Japanese YouTuber’s video on it). Yet Yuuri is constantly portrayed as cheated on and weak and submissive and clueless. This seems racist or stereotypical to me, but I am not Japanese so if any Japanese people want to talk about it? Also, my understanding was that in Russia cheating is seen as very bad culturally. It also seems like it would be more accurate for Yuuri to cheat on Vitya when considering culture and what is considered cheating. Do you have any thoughts about this? If I got anything wrong, I want to clear it up now.

Interesting question! I can’t say anything about how common it is in Russia (stats are unreliable), but it’s not culturally accepted and rarely forgiven if disclosed. It’s a serious reason to break up. And Victor cheating on Yuuri with Yuri... No idea what a more realistic version of Russia may have to do with it. This plotline is perhaps not about trying to portray some culture (be it in a good or bad light), I believe; sounds like it’s something subjective like the author’s dark fantasies or the desire to write angst or something similar. The author is probably processing their own issues through a story.

As for cheating in general, there are a few differences between Russia and Japan that play a role in the way cheating is seen. 1. Unlike Japan, Russia is permeated with Christianity (and not so long ago with Soviet moral ideals like ‘there’s no sex in the USSR’); there were no sexual revolutions or anything like that. Our culture is intervined with religion; cheating has always been viewed as a serious sin that requires repentance and is not normally accepted. Japan has never been under a heavy influence of monotheistic religions with a detailed concept of sin & repentance, so cultural codes are a bit different.

2. In Russia, relationships are usually committed and tend to be more on the possessive side (compared to, say, France where relationships between young people are usually less serious). Partners tend to ‘control’ each other xDDD So cheating is a full-blown betrayal. Open relationships, friends with benefits, casual sex are not mainstream, it’s still something out of the ordinary and very much disapproved of. In Japan, casual sex seems to be a more common thing, sex is not viewed as SUCH a big deal.

3. In Japan, cheating is also connected with the lack of sex between husband and wife, especially after she gives birth to children (not in every family, ofc, but in, let's say, typical or maybe stereotypical families...).  Here’s an interesting sum-up of this. But they don’t divorce, b/c it’s convenient to stay married. For example, the wife doesn’t have to work full-time and gets the money earned by him, and the husband keeps the veneer of a respected married man in society xDD Being divorced may even hinder his career. So each of them may have affairs, but stay married for pragmatic reasons and for children. In Russia though divorces are more common, no one (at least at work) usually cares if you do it, and people divorce if they want to. And cheating is one of the reasons why they may do it. Usually there are no social ‘perks’ of being in a marriage that doesn’t work for either side (there may be some personal ones though)... Besides, the Japanese are one of the most asexual nations in the world, and the lack of sex between husband and wife is not concidered as some serious problem, while Russia is in the top 3 most sexually active nations, and in Russian marriages, sex plays a bigger role; it’s important for Russian couples to have sex with each other. I’ve seen some videos of Russian youtubers married to Japanese women, and they emotionally described how their wives, after a while, told them that sex was too troublesome and suggested that they found somebody else for this stuff. But the Japanese women had never fathomed that it was actually really that important for their Russian hubbies! They were used to Japanese men who would understand this idea, but most Russians just can’t 🤯 xD The suggestion to have sex with somebody else while staying (more or less happily) married sounded totally insane to the guys, so they and their Japanese wives divorced in the end. So for the Japanese, sex with each other is not automatically connected with satisfaction from family life, important aspect.

But all of this is related to heterosexual couples. When it comes to gay men, they’re within a different paradigm initially, and the concepts of open relationships & commitment & cheating may be... not different, but treated differently. However, I don’t think that Yuuri or Victor are the types to cheat on each other (even considering some cultural/subcultural moments) if we take their canon personalities, feelings and story, but if a fanfic is deeply AU and OOC (intentionally or not), anything may happen O_o

More of that redemption AU!

At long last!!! It's finally here! That took a while but with ten pictures to make and an essay to write it had to XD

I'd like to say a couple things before starting. First, the following content features angst, blood, injuries and images that may be viewed as disturbing by some people, I apologise in advance. You've been warned. Second, I'm accepting any asks about this AU and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability. Third, for those who haven't seen part 1 yet, you can find it here.

That being said, let's get into it.

When Abaddon freed Azrael, the Angel of Death understandably had trust issues. He was sure the Destroyer is trying to deceive him again. Since he was still in a rough shape after his imprisonment and the run-in with Straga, his former friend got him out onto a balcony to let him catch a breath of fresh air and there try to persuade him that he has no ill intentions this time. The negotiations however, were stopped before they even began.

The two archangels were caught together by an unfortunate Demon Sorcerer. Unfortunate, because Abaddon didn't want any witnesses just yet. The poor sod barely registered what hit him.

In that moment Azrael believed that his friend could've returned after all. He just jumped the unsuspecting demon without a second thought. The Destroyer would never just off his own soldiers when each was priceless in these trying times. But this kill fueled Destroyer's bloodlust and triggered Abaddon's first ever loss of control ever since he turned to Light again. When he realised what's happening, it was too late to stop it…

As short as it was, it nearly cost Azrael his life. For Abaddon, losing himself so easily was like a slap to the face with a wet rag. He'd almost killed his friend and could've done nothing about it but watch like a prisoner in his own body. It was… scary. For the first time in way too long he said - and meant it! -

Abaddon realised that the Destroyer inside of his head is still displeased with the steps he's taking and actively seeking to ruin his plans. And that makes him dangerous to both friends and foes. He couldn't take any chances and risk if it were to happen again. Needless to say, he peaced right the hell out of there. This is one of the main reasons he didn't reveal himself to Uriel until she found out herself. He didn't want to repeat the mistake he made with Azrael. But after their first meeting, find out was exactly what she had in mind (for those who don't know what I'm talking about in this paragraph, here's a fic I wrote a while back).

To be frank, Abaddon wasn't actually sure what on God's green earth he's doing and what he's trying to achieve (aside from figuratively spitting into Lucifer's face) but he knew he couldn't keep flying around and causing random violence, even if it was giving everyone the impression that he's completely out of his mind (which wasn't far from the truth) and more or less satisfying his darker counterpart, keeping it mostly quiet and content. He couldn't win this war alone. Abaddon was thinking about making allies with anyone he could or at least rallying the last of Heaven's forces. Unfortunately none of this was easy to accomplish. He was the Destroyer after all… No self-respecting angel would stand beside him without a good reason which he didn't have. Eventually, he decided to put the power Lilith bestowed upon him to use. To some extent, he started to understand Death. Once you view necromancy as a tool instead of an abhorrent crime against the natural order, it doesn't seem so despicable anymore. "Ends justify the means" yet again. Still, Abaddon was reluctant to resort to resurrecting corpses. Though, for different reasons... It reminds him of the promise he'd made a long time ago. One he broke out of cowardice.

Even with a small army of the living dead, the task Abaddon had designated for himself was going to be challenging. But this particular archangel is nothing if not one of the most stubborn creatures in the Universe. He was going to do whatever it takes to see it to the end. Even if his sanity and control he once held over his fate continued to slip through his fingers and slowly but surely leave him. Every day he lives through, his mind remains in the perpetual state of a constant struggle between the Light and Dark in his soul as he strives to fight the evil that has taken root within him.

And that will be it for now (I ran out of space, goddamnit 😂). If I have any new ideas I'll make sure to share them. Feel free to ask like I said above!

I'm gonna have to take a break from painting. It was draining but damn if it wasn't satisfying! Especially the last one. I'll have to sit down and finally write this fic cus I'm a dumbass who is insecure about the garbage I make even though some people still love it 😆

(Also, on the side note, screw that sword and all those bloody runes. They look amazing but painting them sucks ass XDD)

Not really for the personality, because my Spamton's personality is actually a bit similar.. but more for the visual aspect. I headcannon that canon Spamton's body shrunk when he fell into an acid pool. My Spamton fell into an acid pool as well, but it didn't shrink him. It destroyed the structure of his body and elongated him. Making him much taller and extremely deformed..

Imagine the two of them standing side by side. Original Spam would be up to my Spams knee! <XD

As for what kind of monsters they'd face,, I'm actually unsure- I haven't played either game and I don't know any of the lore or characters.. so I'm not sure what kinds of dangers the real cookie run pirates face.. :( But what I DO know is that Blue Beauty is their main form of protection.

She's not exactly threatening to a lot of creatures I'd imagine.. She is just a Mer-whale. No teeth or stingers to make her more intimidating.. But what she is, is huge. And incredibly strong. She's a real power house and uses tools and weapons the crew taught her how to use to defend herself. And I imagine with her thick blubber, it takes a really deep wound to actually hurt her. So she doesn't fear getting a couple scratches here and there.

When it comes to the other cookies, most everyone stands up and fights. Only a select few retreat to the lower decks to protect their goods or hide. Those likely being Ellie, she's too old for this crap- and Coco and Red, though don't be fooled! Coco can fight! She's just retreating with Red in order to protect him. Everyone else though is up there duking it out with who ever dares cross their ship! ⚔⚔

Ok, so for headcanons on my Unknown Soldier WIP (idk why, but I keep doing these with that one WIP XDD). Its almost like I don't have any other WIP, despite the long list I actually have XD

Moving on, so I have two fun facts about two characters that come to mind rn. There may be more as I write, but here we go.

Daisy loves animals. She never had any, obviously, but she would really like to have a pet at some point. She asked uncle Steve and aunty Nat for one when they were in Wakanda, but they said no. What a shame...

This is new, and only for this part of this WIP, cause Daisy is really OOC in this. I love it, cause it just warms my heart to think of something so sweet for a character that was so damaged by life. This particular tidbit doesn't really add anything other than cuteness and another perspective on Daisy, I guess. Not gonna say much, tho.

Tony will never say it, but he loves Manchurian Candidate's spawn. She's cool. He also has so many nicknames for her, and he won't be afraid of using them no matter how much she hates them. He only does it cause he cares, not because he wants to annoy her, despite what people might think. Also, he's not going to admit it, but after she leaves, he will miss that little assassin.

Also a new one here, cause I don't really write Daisy and Tony together in the same fic often. This is just another perspective on Tony that he will never admit to having, cause, well, we all know Tony. I wanted his secretly nice self to shine a little, even from the shadows and behind the lines.

Bucky never wanted to be a father. Not just because he wouldn't be good at it. Cause lets face it, he's the Winter Soldier and his best skills would be bad parenting on his part. But when he gets to know Daisy better, he really likes her. When he comes back with the Blip, he is thankful for Nat and Steve to have helped Daisy through it, especially when he couldn't be. He will miss her after she's gone.

Why are my headcanons (are those actually headcanons, idk) so long! Ok, so again, I don't write Bucky and Daisy as a family often, so this tidbit isn't used anywhere else. Bucky as a dad is just flipping cute, that's all I'm gonna say. It just warms my heart too much. I need fluff in the angst, cause no one will survive if I just pull angst shit all the time.

1: are there any fics that you wanted to leave multiple kudos for, and were disappointed when you could only leave one?

Oh definitely! 

I’ll list the more recent loves of mine (or continuing old loves) that I read/reread over quarantine in 2020, because there are simply too many to count overall: 

Inuyasha: 

- Catching Feelings, by @dyaz-stories. The way she just captures everyone’s emotions so beautifully and painfully is just... *chef’s kiss* It’s so raw and full of feels and fluff and makes my heart CLENCH FGHLFDTUFYGKUHLVH 😭😭😭

- From the Ashes, by princess-j3ss (does anyone know her Tumblr???). Historical setting in Ancient Rome (specifically Pompeii), slow burn/quick romance through intense situations, clear concise language that flows well??? *chef’s kiss x10* This AU is highly underrated, but I’m so glad it’s finally picking up a larger audience lately! Count me among the bigger fans akhsrgkjhkghd I cannot WAIT for the finale! 😍😍

- I Hate That Fucking Well, by @kstewdeux. I’m so glad I rec’d this so many times on the Inuyasha server, because it is GODDAMN INGENIOUS LOL XDD. 85% hilarious, 15% heartfelt FEELS, I always love revisiting this gem of a fic. 

- You Rescued Me, by @keichanz. I revisited the first 14 chapters over the summer of 2020, and oh my goddddddd. The angst! The drama! The romance! HkHFJKLJG<KXHFCBVNMVKJ 😍😍😍 I still need to read the latest chapter jfdkgjd but seriously, you want a LONG romantic slow burn, read YRM! 

Harry Potter: 

- The Potter of the Ages, by Anera527. A Harry Potter/Star Wars crossover, one of my oldest faves, and one that gave me great comfort rereading in the earlier days of quarantine. This fic has not been updated in 4 years and is one of my few favorited “hiatus” fics that I deeply, truly love and look forward to any future updates (if ever). It’s the kind of “non-ship” indulgence I never knew I needed until I first discovered it several years ago 😍😍😍

- Time is the Fire, by Oddment Tweak. Further below, I mention that I’m not really an HP AU fan, but this? This is PHENOMENAL. Technically, it’s an AU that is canon compliant and canon-divergent and post-canon AND a Time Travel AU all in one bundle and it’s fucking BRILLIANT. I went into it apprehensively, but I devoured all 97k+ words in less than 24 hours which is INCREDIBLY rare from me! I recently reread it again, taking a slower pace this time, and I just!!!!!!!!! It gives me all my Harmony needs, WITHOUT sabotaging canon or other characters and it makes me so happy jhdfkdbgkfjewsfghekjrghfbg 😍😍😍

- can you light the fire?, by elixirsoflife. Congrats, author. I, a hardcore Harmony shipper, fell head over heels IN LOVE with your Hinny fic! XDD 

- you will bleed to death with the pain of it, by @lullabyknell. SOULMATE 👏 AU 👏 GOALS!!!! 👏👏👏 A canon-compliant gen fic that inspired me to write more of my own soulmate AUs. Absolutely beautiful. 

- you’re in love with her, idiot, by natasharomanhoffs. Another exception of an AU, except this one is an (long-ish) oneshot, and I LOVED IT! Harmony indulgence through the ROOF!!! 

Percy Jackson

- if i were to pluck on your heartstrings and its companion piece, would you strum on mine, by seaweedbraens. Soulmate AU + angst? Yasssss, gimme more!!! 👏👏👏

Narnia

- just.... this entire series of beautiful oneshots, by dirgewithoutmusic. You don’t even have to be the biggest Narnia fan, the prose and details in every single of these “retrospective” fics are just.... amazing. Writing GOALS, right there!!! 

3: slowburn or established relationship?

ESTABLISHED 👏 DOMESTIC 👏 RELATIONSHIP 👏 FLUFF ‘N’ SMUT 👏 PLEASE 👏👏👏

okay okay, yes I’ve read a handful of excellent slow burns, but many of my ships already had canonical slow burns, so I go to fanfiction searching for that sweet, sweet INDULGENCE 👏👏👏. That said, sometimes my favorite form of slow burn is the “10-20k+ oneshot” so that way I read it one go and not be driven up the wall by how LONG it’s taking lmao XD

14: what’s your favourite AU setting?

Depends on the fandom. Harry Potter, I prefer no real AUs, just post-canon, maybe canon-divergence. Inuyasha, for Plot Fics, I like me some good Historical AUs or post-canon/canon-divergence; for Shameless Smut, I love the College or Modern setting lol XD 

But across the board, for all fandoms/ships, I fucking LOVE fan art featuring any and all AU concepts! Historical, steampunk, fantasy, fairytale, crossovers, etc etc, it’s all so amazing in the form of artwork! 😍😍
