Can we hear your thoughts on Leona! Yutu?

Since Leona died fighting the Phantom, Yutu obviously wouldn't have met him, and I'm wondering about your ideas between what Leona became after NRC, how the loss of Yuu affected him, Leona's death, and Yutu's opinion of him before and after meeting him. I had an errant idea of Leona having Died a Hero's Death and then when Yutu meets him it's like, "THIS is the guy my parent was willing to spend the rest of their life with???"

Anyway yeah. As a Leona Simp, I would much appreciate anything you write.

Does he like cats... you know I have always sort of seen Leona has having a petty rivalry with Grim because he thinks he should be the King Cat, so the image of Leona! Yutu lying in a field with a bunch of cats is sort of a perfect contrast. I like it: Leona! Yutu absolutely loves cats and they love him.

Leona and and his position in the kingdom's line of succession... Based off my understanding of what we see in the Tashmina event I think the Savanna would prioritize protecting their royal family over a lot, something that pissed Leona off. He went to fight the King of Beast's phantom because he saw it as a problem he made and that he needed to take responsibility for sure, but also because he had no faith in his brother to do anything meaningful about it. I want to say that his brother wanted to enshrine Leona as a hero for his sacrifice, but that this decision was very unpopular with his advisors so he was buried in the Elephant Graveyard without much fanfare. He is an extremely popular figure with the hyenas, as is Ruggie. They see him as restoring the Kingdom's honor in a way by defeating the false king, something no other country in the apocalypse can claim, but things are still rough since they can't rely on tourism anymore and the blot has been making the weather really unpredictable, leading to bad harvests and starving people.

If Yuu was Leona's... losing them wouldn't have a noticeable affect on him but it was a massively crushing blow. We know he hates his unique magic because turning things to sand is a curse in the Savanna, but did it really have to be his own family this time? The family he got in spite of himself, the one fucking person who chose him no matter how much he snapped at them and tried to convince them to see him for what he was; a worthless dead end that would only hurt them. And what's worse is he knows that whoever took them had his brother's cooperation.

"Couldn't let me have this one fucking thing could you?" He's laughing as he says it and not even the irritation in his sister in law's eyes makes him back down. "Stuff it. I ain't stupid enough for whatever line you got fed and I don't care about your justifications. You're gonna have to live with this one on your own, Falena. Just like I have to."

He refuses to talk to his other family after that. No matter who is asking or making demands, taking Yuu and Yutu away from him is just one step too far. His brother probably thought that Yuu would be allowed to come home and that's why he let them go, but that's not exactly an excuse Leona would be willing to accept from anyone, let alone the supposed leader of a state. He almost feels relived when the blot phantoms start wreaking things, Leona might just want to sleep until you come to wake him up again but fighting things gives him an excuse to get his mind off things. Dying is a relief, he doesn't have to deal with Idia's whining or living without you any longer than he already has. His only regret is that he had to take Ruggie with him.

I really love this fanart and head cannon fima11 had of Leona's hair being light when he was born, and the color getting darker as he grows, so the idea of something similar happening with Leona! Yutu when he's born is really sweet. Leona's hair sort of resembles a mane, it'd be cute if Leona! Yutu's did the same. And genetics are already so weird I don't think any earth doctors would like too much of it.

Leona! Yutu is a sleepy boy. His hobby is napping and his favorite place in the whole wide world is his bed. He has a bad habit of laying face first in his pillows because he snores pretty loudly and he doesn't want to wake anyone up, which sort of makes him look like he has passed out as opposed to just settled down for a good snooze.

Because he is being raised by a single parent in the human world and not a bunch of gossipy servants hired by emotionally neglectful royalty, Yutu is significantly less entitled than Leona is. He has good sense with his money and can work hard, he just has a bit of a problem with resting bitch face that leaves people thinking he is rude. And to be fair? If someone is testing his patience then he really can be. Apple didn't fall far from the tree, Yutu is absolutely brutal when people test his patience.

Yuu's memories of Leona don't exactly help with his perceived behavior problems, they recall Leona's catty personality and how rude he could be, but that he was so remarkably clever and so very strong, that they were in awe of him sometimes. I think they would mention that he struggled with depression due to a difficult upbringing and feel a need to make sure Yutu felt appreciated and like he could do anything he set his mind to, no matter who he was born as. Yutu just takes that to mean that being a bitch runs in the family and he fully intends to ride that excuse to the bank.

It's a nice thought but Yutu feels a bit conflicted by it. He has no doubt that Yuu will always love and support him, but other people? Yuu might be able to ignore what their neighbors say about them but Yutu can hear them loud and clear. They think Yuu's amnesia is an act, and that he's a weirdo freak. Not to mention they don't have any money so even if he wanted to be a doctor or something like that going to school would be a bit of a pain, even with his grades. He finds school to be boring, and even when he gets bullied by one of the coaches in to taking up a sport because of how strong he is it doesn't help much.

I could see him being very into space and astronomy because he feels like he doesn't belong in your world. He knows a lot of downright stupid stuff about UFO sightings and aliens even though he doesn't believe in them. He is SO DISAPPOINTED when Twisted Wonderland turns out to have no conspiracy theories to talk about, can't think the moon landing was faked if you never had one after all. If the world wasn't literally ending he would be pushing for the Sunset Savanna to win the space race, c'mon guys it is in our name everything the light touches totally expands to the stars-

Like the other beastmen Yutus he maintains his instincts, even in your world. He is extremely territorial about his things and especially your home. Like Cater! Yutu, he has strong feelings of nostalgia for your world, but unlike him it has nothing to do with the monsters or hardships. Lions just tend to stay in the same place for a long time so moving to entirely different world and ecosystem makes him feel weird, even if he prefers his beastfolk body to his human one.

Gets put in Savanaclaw by the mirror. He might like space but his preferred type of argument is rearranging someone's dental work before asking them to explain themselves. He'd be terrible at defending a thesis.

Leona! Yutu's place in the Sunset Savanna hierarchy is tricky. I think, as Yutu is his brother's child, Falena would want some sort of relationship with him as he does clearly love his brother. What makes that hard is that as far as the government is concerned, Leona is dead and that's the end of his part of the family line. Acknowledging that he had a son could further destabilize the already tense political situation in the Savanna since Leona's sacrifice is already a point of conflict between the royal family and a portion of their people. While Crewel has no problem telling Yutu about his father since he has a right to know, the fact that he is technically a prince is completely hidden from him for a long time.

We haven't really played with this idea yet, but I sort of like Leona having a ghost that hangs around his grave sometimes. Idia arranges for Yutu to go there on a day he thinks he'll be hanging around and while Yutu doesn't get to talk to his father he does get to see him and the look of pride in his eyes when the grumpy lion realizes who he is. Leona gets to pass on and be with Yuu while Yutu gets a lesson from his cousin about the concept of the great Kings living on in the sky and how the past lives on in him. Because while Cheka understand his dad's concerns like hell is he not going to meet his favorite cousin. His enthusiasm is really exhausting to Yutu, he appreciates the fact that someone has nice things to say about his dad but he isn't too sure how much he trusts this guy.

Oh right one more thing, I don't want to say each of the Savanaclaw boys would pass their magic on to their Yutu's so if we ever get around to Jack he won't, but Leona should pass on King's Roar to his kid. Causing a drought might be considered a curse but I want to say Leona! Yutu wears it with pride. He loves his roar and that despite all the effort put in to erasing Leona from existence he still lives in him. His head is fit to wear the crown, no matter what anyone says.

Leona clocks what Yutu is the instant he steps out of the portal. It's all in the kid's scent and what runes he used to make the jump. He takes some time to think about what it could mean and comes to a few conclusions. Firstly, if he has a kid with you then he will always have some sort of relationship with you, no not in the yandere possessive way (mostly), he just knows enough about himself and his wants to know that having a kid would not be something he did by accident. If he did that at some point in the future it would be because you were going to stay with him forever and he actually believed that. Something that clearly did not get to happen because of how protective Yutu is of his parent.

Yutu was a bit confused if he should go about interacting with his dad or even ask about him so you can imagine his surprise when he stops by Ramshackle to see Leona half asleep on the couch.

"Oh sorry Yuu isn't here-"

"I know." Leona doesn't even open his eyes, and is he seriously wearing his shoes on the couch? Yuu would kill him for that it's so unsanitary.

"Um. Ok I'll just leave you be the-"

"Why'd you travel back in time?" Oh Leona's eyes are open now and there is something about that stare that's nailing Yutu to his spot and tempting his tail between his legs. His dad must notice because he laughs and shakes his head. "Seriously? If that's all it takes to scare you shitless we really are fucked."

Leona doesn't outright say he knows he's his dad, but Yutu gathers that's probably the case from the difference in his attitude around him compared to everyone else. There's a degree of coldness and severity to Leona when he's giving orders that really isn't present when he's talking to him about overblots or his theories about who is responsible for the bad future. He's almost playful about it, like he is messing with a cub. Which Yutu supposes that he is but still, he doesn't like being treated like a kid. Something he very much regrets telling Leona because holy shit his dad is strong just like Yuu said he was.

I think Leona would make him play chess against him a lot. You can learn a lot about a person by playing chess with them, and since it's something Leona really likes to do he would enjoy sharing it with his son. I think he would also get a kick out of seeing Yutu get really competitive with him about it. Maybe there is some lion in this kid after all.

Leona also makes a subtle effort to teach him about how the court of the Sunset Savanna works. I think Leona would sort of enjoy the fact that his kid didn't grow up as royalty just because it meant he was free of the pressures that he had, but hate everything else he learned about Yutu's childhood. It inspires him to think a bit deeper about how he is going to address this when Yutu is born in this timeline, though he is admittedly lacking on solutions beyond refusing to die this time. He must have been really far gone to even consider making a heroic sacrifice that's not like him at all.

He does get the appeal of his father sort of? Sure he's lazy, but he is extremely intelligent and clearly a lot more knowledgeable about literally everything than Yutu thought he was. When they're working together he sees a very impressive person and reliable leader. When he sees Leona interact with you he has questions. Why do you let him pick fights with you so often? Yutu can tell he's making heart eyes at how you fight back but that's because he's a beatman himself so he can read his body language. And he's not crazy about how he orders you around because if his father is a Prince... wouldn't that mean by marrying him you would also be royalty? He is so confused...

Meanwhile Leona isn't rushing things just because he knows you return his feelings at some point. He wants you to choose to be with him of your own free will, wants the feeling that comes with knowing you did that and he is willing to play the game to get that. Every milestone he reaches is so much sweeter for knowing that he got you on his efforts alone, crappy attitude and all.

The reveal to Yuu, much like the reveal to Yutu is extremely mundane. Leona invites you to spend the night with him sometime after you get together and he asks you while you're curled up on his chest and he's holding you just a bit too tight (not because he's afraid you'll run, not at all) how you would feel if you could never go home.

"A little upset." Because you had resigned yourself to the possibility a long time ago now. There's a chance you're only in Twisted Wonderland because you died in your world anyway, might as well be grateful you're still kicking. "And if you stayed and things went bad here, would you still be alright with that?" You don't hesitate at all to his surprise. "I think I'd be safe if I was with you." Well he really hates to prove you wrong but you still deserve to know.

Leona is weirdly quiet in his anger. He roars sure, but that's to exert control. When he's mad he just gets smug and says a lot of hurtful stuff. He leaves the screaming to Yuu, and I could see a Yuu that got with Leona only to learn they didn't get to spend the rest of their life with him doing a lot of screaming. Preventing the apocalypse is a team effort now but first Yutu and Leona are getting scolded for not letting Yuu in on the secret sooner. Leona is down bad horrendous and Yutu wants to die, he hates making you mad.

If I had to make a list of characters I would trust to find a solution to an apocalypse, Leona would actually be pretty close to the top. He is going to bitch about it the entire way, but if he were given the facts before things went too sideways, I think he would be able to make a good plan to set them straight. And there is no way anyone is going to tell him that he managed to have something as precious to him as Yuu taken away from him and not have him do something about it. He'll swallow his pride and take his licks when he has to, but not on this. Never on this, whoever thought he'd just roll over and die is going to shatter in his hands and be like dust on the wind. He really hopes they have enough sense to be prepared....

I'm sorry but I absolutely lose my mind over them ( I have literally no one who I could ramble about this to and I need to get it out). I want to analyse stuff, so let me just:

*breathes in*

It's visible that they are good friends and have been since the time when Doc deviated, research partners doing... research? Or whatever researchers do *shrugs*.

But there's one thing to it, X created Doc and most of other androids. He understands what is deviation because Doc explained it to him but his friend is still an android after all. We also know that X always calls Doc "Docm" but in previous comic he calls him "Doc" and it is stated that it's the first time he ever called him that. In which moment he calls him that? In the moment when he realises that Doc is more human than android now, I may be delusional about this all but I just feel like: the moment when he sees Etho overpower Doc, shove him and break him and stuff, Xisuma sees that Doc isn't a fearless machine but a someone, a human, he got overpowered by Etho and suffered consequences, he felt fear like a human not a machine. Also he lost his arm because he was trying to stop Etho from hurting X as we see in the second part of the comic, which only adds to that. So, this is the moment where X fully realises that he means something to Doc, not as a creator, but as a friend, and that's why for the rest of the comic he constantly makes sure if his partner is alright by talking to him, glancing at him. You know stuff. He grew closer and closer to Doc as time passed and I think this was the climax - the moment he called Docm77 "Doc".

While Doc is doing the most stoic stuff ever and trying not to self destruct and stuff, he cares about X too, very much even, he's protective towards him and shows it by jumping into danger he could have avoided [ Etho attacked X because he's an admin and probably knows where's Grian - Etho wants to hunt down this pesky bird for killing Bdubs] just so his partner won't get hurt how sweet <3 RIP arm you will be remembered...

Anyways I feel like they should talk about stuff and maybe cuddle and maybe I don't know LIVE?? NOT DIE??

Yeah, I think that I don't even need to explain for how long they've been spinning in my head.

Also wanted to thank you so much for so many kind words on my fanart !! Everything was relatively normal the following week. His and Charlie's long overdue moment with no more miscommunication made Lucifer feel a whole lot better. He couldn't ask for a better daughter.

Dressing himself in one of his battle suits, he felt like he could take on the world. Nothing says King of Hell like your best warrior outfit and a badass sword in full display.

Lucifer: Looking pretty dapper there, me.

Lucifer doesn't even bother to style his hair- it now flows animatedly like that of Lilith's.

Flowers were still being sent to him especially when he was first spotted roaming around the hotel after a week-ish long recovery. Charlie had the amazing idea of making a greenhouse or some sort of garden to put all the flowers and keep them alive as long as possible.

They got rid of any red ones after someone sent a buttload of them which then caused him to have a mini panic attack. Alastor is subtly trying to take that moment off his mind by leaving Marigolds everywhere. It's sweet but soon they're going to need a separate greenhouse for just the Marigolds. Where'd he even get these??

Finding his first Marigold of the day, in the bathroom of all places really Alastor??, he makes his way to the lobby. Everyone was there doing their own thing.

Husk and Angel are at the bar as usual, with the latter talking animatedly about something that puts an endearing expression on Husk's face. Nifty is putting on roach puppet shows for Alastor. The radio demon notices him and conveys his most 'help me' face but he just chuckled and gives him a thumbs up. The cyclops named Cherri is today's gift screener, grumbling about the pollen and the shitty taste some demons have.

Charlie and Vaggie were talking to a small group of demons by the entrance. As soon as his daughter sees him, she said something to the group then walked over to him.

Charlie: Good morning, dad!

Lucifer: You look busy.

Charlie: They're sinners who are asking about the hotel! I'm so happy that people are at least coming here to check it out. Did you have a good sleep?

Lucifer: Well, I don't feel like passing out today. So pretty good!

Charlie: That's great, dad!

Angel: Short king! Looking good in that fit!

Cherri: Yeah! Do a spin, hot stuff!

He blushes at the sudden attention. Everyone is looking at him in awe- maybe it was too much?

Alastor: Nonsense, dear.

Alastor appeared beside him in a flurry of shadows, seemingly reading his mind. He bends down at Lucifer's level to whisper in his ear. He plucked the Marigold Lucifer was holding, putting it behind the King's hair.

Alastor: I, for one, think you never looked so.. raveshing~

Damn him.

Lucifer: Shut up.

Lucifer hisses in response. Like, seriously? In front of his daughter? Thank Father, Charlie didn't hear that.

Charlie: Yeah! You look so cool. I don't think I've seen you wear that except for when there's a banquet.

Lucifer: Yeah, well, I wanted to look put together after everything.

Charlie softens at his words.

Alastor: No need for that, sire. I'm sure no one is foolish enough to comment negatively on what the King of Hell chooses to look like.

Lucifer: What does that make you then?

Alastor: Privileged, my King~

Lucifer rolls his eyes at the audacity but he can't help but smile. Man, he never thought he'd miss their constant banter.

Charlie: You look awesome, dad, okay? Al, please slow down with the Marigolds, Nifty's going crazy. Oh! Dad, right, Aunt Bel called said that the Sloth Ring is making incredible progress and that she'll visit again soon. I think Aunt Bee is planning a party with the other Sins and would like it to be held here in Pride! At the hotel! It would be so cool and of course if you're not ready I can tell them and maybe a little get together would be better. I'll even invite Sev! He gave flowers for you too and Vaggie was so jealous when I said he was my ex and thought the flowers were for me, she was so cute-

Lucifer tried, but he stopped listening halfway through his daughter's talk. It was a bit of an information overload but he kept a small, genuine smile on his face for her.

Then something caught his eye that made him stopped smiling altogether.

Charlie notices this causing her to stop talking.

Charlie: Dad?

He should answer but his eyes were locked on the wall behind Charlie. Plastered on the higher part of the lobby's wall was a glowing mark- gold wings with a dot on the center.

Lucifer turns around so fast to look outside the hotel's window. Heaven looks so out of place up there, sticking out like a sore thumb upon Hell's red skies.

A glint in the distance made him act. Without warning, he took off with such force that those inside the hotel were knocked down by the gust of his wings.

He breaks the window on his way out and pulls out Lightbringer. Lucifer brings the sword up and-

A powerful explosion lit up the sky. The sky split in two and fire appeared high and wide over Pride. At that moment, everyone became so hot that they couldn't bear it, as if their whole body was on fire. They wanted to rip their skin off just to get a sense of relief but then the sky shut closed. A strong thump was heard by every demon in the vicinity and then they were all thrown a few meters.

It felt like an eternity before Charlie and the others could get their bearings. Those that didn't get knocked out went outside, once there, they see Lucifer far up in the sky, holding up a flaming sword. The signature pentagram of the city has been fractured by whatever happened and demons all around were either hurt or unconscious.

Charlie: Dad!

Charlie calls out to her dad but he doesn't acknowledge her. His gaze never leaving Heaven, as if he's seeing something that no one else can.

A screen locked on Hell zooms out as the machine's voice rang out 'target disengaged'.

An angel looking similarly to Lucifer, except there's blue tints on the spots where Lucifer had reds, was looking down at Hell pulling back a large, golden gun. They blew the smoke residue and sighed.

Michael: Hello, Lucifer... Still causing trouble, I see.

i definitely want a vtuber au as a means to explore genderfuckery but i think objectively the funniest option is corpo vtuber agency sisheng peak

chu wanning is a rescue, he used to be employed under rufeng productions but suddenly graduated. after his graduation it slowly came to light that rufeng is extremely exploitative and neglectful with it's livers.

he's the first liver in sisheng peak -- honestly, sisheng peak wasn't even supposed to be an agency at the start, xue zhengyong just noticed his specialest princess was feeling down now that he couldn't stream anymore and decided to lend a hand

tanlang elder/xie fengya becomes cwn's manager, they have a very endearing bickering relationship.

xfy nags him in chat to end stream and sleep/eat/etc.

xzy is affectionately called tianshi-laoban by fans, as he is also anonymous for the most part and is extremely beloved.

in rufeng cwn had the persona of a scholarly, tortured (musical) idol with extremely deep lore, he was adored for his guqin streams as well as asmr.

im sorry to say this but the funniest option for cwn's new vtuber persona is xia sini. extremely deep-voiced child saying "mods, ban him". he is obviously immediately nicknamed the boss baby.

the guqin streams return, the asmr streams do not. it is heavily theorized he was being forced to do the asmr.

cwn, partly due to his previous renown and the drama tied to rufeng, is a massive success

there's more than enough to profit coming in to fund any projects cwn wants to carry out (mostly some extremely ambitious charity streams) and xzy can't think of anything better to do with all this anime boyfriend cash than support more up-and-coming creatives and make more anime boyfriends.

thus enters their conservative second wave! the promos are angel-and-devil themed, which briefly makes people very excited that maybe tianshi-laoban is debuting but alas, that is not the case

shi mei and taxian-jun drop and some people are sad there's no ceo

most of them are just excited about the femboy and the daddy dom

shi mei (irl: hua binan) is the most sickeningly sweet powerfully pink femboy you have ever seen in your life. he opens every stream with a charmingly cringe "hi honeys! <3"

taxian-jun (irl: mo ran) is the sort of obnoxious sultry daddy dom you expect him to be. he's the only one who really bothers with a lore video. a demon emperor who died lonely, nobody willing to love him due to his out of control temperament, only to be reborn and shown his first scraps of kindness by tianshi-laoban and xia sini.

he does so much asmr. a nauseating amount of boyfriend experience asmr

I have an absolutely insane number of reddie fics saved in my bookmarks for how recently I joined this fandom so I decided to share my absolute favorites with you. Please give these authors some love and let me know which ones are you've read and enjoyed!

1 chapter, 14,838 words, No Archive Warnings Apply. Summary: The day you get the most important email of your life, there’s a new black skidmark on the wall of the stairwell, and you know exactly whose fault it is. “Margaret,” you intone to the harried, wild-haired woman in the lobby. She sighs at you as she tries to jimmy her mail key loose. “I know.” It wouldn’t even be that bad if the kid would just skateboard outside. Or get good at skateboarding. Either of those things. Maggie’s a nice lady, though, and she’s had “trying my best” scribbled all over her since they moved into 6B maybe eight years ago. So you try not to be a dick, even if her son is a gold-standard pain in the ass. He’s good for three things: smells, noise, and reminding you how big Eddie must be by now.

The first It fic I read that made me go "holy shit, this is fantastic" and remains one of my all-timers (hence why its first in this list). Really fun and unique outsider POV from Eddie's estranged gay dad, and tells a very sweet story mostly through dialogue. Young adult Eddie and Richie are very cute.

There was Richie’s soppy campaign of making cow eyes at the back of Eddie’s head as he passed, gently pressing Betty for details about his personal life (“I don’t think he has one. He had this awful fiancé a few years ago, but we’re all glad that’s over”), and chasing the incomparable high of a quiet, muttered “Thanks, Rich” whenever Richie picks something up for him from the copier.

Richie is a wannabe stand-up comic daylighting as the receptionist at Eddie's office. Eddie is a tightly-wound corporate asshole. They are both disasters. Or: five times Richie watched Eddie and one that Eddie watched him back.

I really enjoy workplace dramas and this one satisfied the itch so well. So many good scenes and dialogue, this author characterizes them in a way that really works for me. The perfect read-in-an-afternoon fic.

12 chapters, 137,708 words, Major Character Death. Summary: "You need to wake up now,” Stan says softly. “This isn’t real.”

“I know, but I can’t,” Richie sobs. “I don’t want to be here.” Not again. Never again. It is dead, why is It still haunting him?

Stan fixes him with one of those looks of his, the one where he can see his every thought as if it were written on his face. “That’s not true, Trashmouth.”

Alternatively: We all know Richie gets caught in the Deadlights, but do we really know what happens after?

(Deadlights, timelines, Stan’s ghostly meddling—oh, my.)

This one is fucking weird in a way that I absolutely adore. Kind of like a sci-fi novel in that it requires you to pay attention to figure out what the fuck is going on but its so good and worth it. The MCD is Stan, not Eddie, and the last couple chapters are actually a very normal domestic Eddie lives AU. One of the first reddie artworks I made was fanart for a scene from this fic that I really enjoy.

21 chapters, 103,571 words, No Archive Warnings Apply. Summary: "So Eddie, what brings you to the bar tonight?" Richie asked. "Gonna rebound from the divorce? Pick up a hot young twenty-something to feel young again?” “Fuck you,” Eddie said, jutting his chin forward. “What a terrible way to ruin the mood.” “I’m sorry, all my moods are poorly cultivated. What mood were you looking for?” A nervous lump grew in Eddie's throat. He threw back his drink to get rid of it.

Hand wrapped around the glass he’d just slammed back onto the bar, he said, “The mood that gets me leaving with a schlubby forty-something.”

Pre-chapter two, Eddie and Richie meet and don't remember each other, but have an instant connection anyway...

This one is just... so fucking good. Decently long without ever feeling like it's dragging. Part 1 is them developing their totally-casual-I-swear relationship, which blows up right when Mike calls them back to Derry. Part 2 is them navigating both killing a nightmare clown demon and the awkwardness between them. Also everybody lives! So that's nice.

Eddie takes a deep breath before he speaks, and Richie closes his eyes, braced for it. "I didn't look at your dick pics."

"Well hey, Eds, thanks," Richie says, laughing incredulously. "Thanks for that."

I LOVE THIS ONE SOOO FUCKING MUCH. I urge you to consider this as a rec for this author as well, as they have a bunch of other reddie fics I think are fantastic. I have a weakness for any reddie fic that lets them be just a little mean to each other. As a treat. (Also the podfic is very well done, you should check that out too.)

I know I meant the last rec as a blanket rec for all this author's works but I'm including this one specifically because it has a twist ending that is well-foreshadowed and it slapped my dick clean off.

Things that Happen after Eddie Lives by IfItHollers

Summary: In a world where Richie manages to save Eddie from It after the deadlights, they still have problems on their to-do list. Featuring everything from Derry to Los Angeles—Richie Tozier's murder trial, Eddie Kaspbrak's divorce proceedings, bedsharing of the platonic and non-platonic varieties, an investigation of magic, a truly disgusting séance, the quintessential morosexual road trip, and OH MY GOD THEY WERE ROOMMATES.

Definitely NOT your average Eddie lives AU. Drama! Mild peril! Psychic abilities! The ghost of Stanley Uris collect calling from beyond the grave via Richie Tozier's vocal chords! Fun and freaky and weird. Three things that make any fic a Josh favorite.

One thing Namjoon hated, was stereotypes.

People tended to club up pastel+soft appearance = Soft girl who is kind, loved to read and do all those soft aesthetic stuff.

Or, for instance, Pierced guy with tattoos + motorcycle + leather = Bad boy who hooks up with everything has a pulse with no academic interest and most probably bullies nerds.

He had been in such circumstances a lot of times, where his personality was misinterpreted due to his fashion sense.

Yes he had tattoos, yes he had a very sexy looking bike and loved riding it, yes he looked everything like a bad boy.

But yes, he also loved to study, read books and write soft and gentle music.

He had an IQ 148 for a reason.

But still, truth is, he is clumsy. Very very clumsy. But he is never clumsy during riding a bike.

But this time, staring at you through the modern looking glass wall of the bakery you were working at, as your eyes locked in with his, he fucking lost his balance and crashed right on the gravel floor as his bike skid away from him.

The streets were empty at this hour, but a few passer-by had gasped and crowded around him, asking if he is alright.

He groaned, feeling a thick liquid run down his forehead as he cradled his right arm, which made the veins of his forehead pop out in pain.

There was a loud shout, a female voice, shouting at the crowd to stop crowding him as gentle hands held his face, lightly slapping his cheeks.

"Stay awake, stay awake, open your eyes, that's it, that's it, your doing great" The voice, sweet as tingling bells, praised him as he droopily kept his eyes open.

His vision was slightly blurred, but he could very well make out your features as you gently tried to pull him up.

You groaned at his weight, after all, he was pure muscles.

He would have chuckled in some other scenario, but it even hurt to breathe.

"Can-Can anyone hold him for a minute?" You say, trying to keep steady on your feet.

He whines at the loss of your lovely warmth as some other man held onto him.

"Hey, stay awake mate. " The guys voice entered his eardrums in a painful jab.

He wanted you to hold him.

But soon, he heard the very familiar roar of his bike.

His senses heightened, feeling angry and ready to spew shit to anyone who touched his precious bike but then-

Then-

His brain sputtered and stuttered. His thoughts going to a standstill. He could only hear the throb and beat of his heart in his ears and the pain in his forearm.

You sat perched on his bike, dressed in the soft pink shirt and brown trousers with the familiar bakery apron, as you ordered the man holding him to gently help him sit behind you.

He could not have asked for a better vision before his death.

The bike was the typical black Kawasaki Ninja ZX 4R, and seeing you sit on it with you back arched, leaning forward, it did something inside him.

But sadly, his sex appeal in that state was similar to a chicken nugget.

Slowly and steadily, he was set on the back of the raised seat of the bike, uncomfortablly flopped onto your body, breathing hard.

Is this how girls feels whenever they would sit on the back of the bike?

His ass felt like it was sitting on a pin. And his height did not help him at all.

At this rate he would fall off.

But, suprisingly, you grabbed his arms and wrapped it around your full waist, ordering him to hold on tight before you took.

Namjoon had seriously underestimated you.

You looked a soft, shy girl when he saw you through the glass window who did not know anything about being cool or whatever this was.

And he was pleasantly, happily regretful.

You knew how to ride a bike. How cool is that?!!!

"Stay awake, don't close your eyes! Talk to me, what your name?" He heard you yell over the sound of wind.

"I AM awake, thanks for asking. But i would like to know yours at first" He says, a small smile on his lips, groaning occasionally at the painful thumbs on his forearm. It must be broken but, how is he not screaming and crying right now?

You let out something similar to a laugh "I asked first!"

"Namjoon, Kim Namjoon at your service ma'am" he replies.

"Well, right now it's me who is in service. I hope you don't mind me using your bike to escort you, do you?" You speak out, words filled with mirth.

He grinned "Use it as much as you want. You look sexy anyways"

He cursed internally. This isn't how he usually advances on girls, but right now his pain made him do useless things.

But, surprisingly, you laughed yet again "Why thank you Namjoon, but I don't know if it's you or your fear of life speaking" you said as you smartly manouvered through the traffic and also the twists and turns of road.

"It's me speaking. I can see your a proffessional" he says, happily nuzzling into your neck.

"Namjoon, it tickles." You deadpan.

"Oh shit im-"

"Chill dude, why are you getting so shy? You weren't so when you were blatantly staring at me. Do you do that always?" You ask.

He shakes his head as no, his energy depleting more and more as his eyelids turned heavier.

"Don't fall asleep on a pretty girl joon, the hospital is here" you nudge him with your shoulder and keep him awake.

Soon enough, the view of the hospital came into his sight and immediately, he felt his body give out.

Well, so much for keeping up a charming appearance.

The next time he opened his eyes, he swore he saw a great wakening light.

But it turns out it was just the vicious lightbulb in his hospital room.

He felt woozy and his right hand felt heavier than usual. His throat was parched as he reached for a cup of water.

But soon, a cup had been put infront of his mouth, filled with water and urging him to drink.

Putting his lips on it, the cup tilted up as the cool refreshing water slowly trickled down his throat.

"How do you feel"

On hearing the voice, Namjoon instantly spat out thelast remains of water and coughed as water entered his sinuses.

He didn't expect you to be there.

"I think at this point I'm a hazard to your health." You say cheekily as you start to peel an orange, sitting beside him in a chair.

Namjoon blushed, hard. Why were you still there?

"Eat up" an orange was forwarded towards him.

Namjoon turned and looked at you and cursed a little.

You were out of the clothes he had last seen on you. Instead sporting a sweet yellow coloured sundress with white polka dots printed on it, your hair loosely braided.

Namjoon swear he could kiss you right now, you looked so pretty, so beautiful.

"Stop staring. You were out for 2 full days" you say as you stuff the orange in his mouth, unable to hold your hand up any longer.

"You have a broken hand and slight bruising on your ribs. Thankfully, no concussion. But i dont think your family of seven boys will be as soft as me" You said, looking at him straight in his eyes.

Namjoon's eyes widened. You even met his brothers?!

Namjoon felt a little self conscious, he wasn't the most attractive in his friends group, what if you started to like someone else there?

Namjoon's mood visibly flattened, as he slowly chewed on the orange.

You noticed his fallen expression almost immediately. Your heartstring tugging at you slightly as an innate urge to pat this pouty man's head came over you.

Unlike his exterior, he was pretty cute.

You had slightly freaked out when he passed out completely on your back on the bike, nearly falling off of it.

She managed to make it through the remaining distance and immediately screamed at the medical staff for immediate assistance.

They were quick and soon he was admitted and his brothers were contacted.

You sat there outside the emergency room for about an hour before 6 screaming voices were heard and 6 figures clad in various mismatched outfits barrelled through the glass doors.

"WHERE IS HE? WHERE IS KIM NAMJOON?!" A guy with broad shoulders, strikingly handsome face which was red due to the amount of screaming came into your view.

You waved at them, ushering them towards you.

"Yes hello, he is in the emergency room for now." You informed them as they tensed up.

A young boy with several piercings and a shy demeanor stepped forward, eyes darting around nervously "W-well...will help be alright?" He asked.

You gave him a comforting smile, nodding at him "A nurse informed me, he will survive. It wasn't anything major, just a broken hand and a gashes forehead and several other scratches and all that. They are just doing the final check up and will soon shift him to the general ward." You informed.

They visibly sagged their tensed shoulders, relieved.

Another silver haired guy, who strangely resembled a cat stepped forward and nodded at you "Thank you for your help, if you please, we want to pay you for your generous help. And also can you please tell us where his bike is so we can bring it back?"

You took a step back, eyes blown wide with a frantic expression "No no, I don't want money. Absolutely not. And don't worry about the bike, it's parked in the parking lot. I drove him here on it. And riding that bike was enough gift for me"

The guy's eyes widened "You rode that bike here? With him on your back?"

You nodded as a reply.

Before they could continue, the same nurse came out and informed them that he is stable but will be out for 1 or 2 days because of the sedatives to help him rest.

You heaved a sigh of relief too. You could finally feel the sticky feeling of dried blood on your back as it started to itch. This shirt was ruined.

"Yeah so, I'll get going now. Please tell him a get well soon from my side" You bow to them and head towards the exit before the silver haired man stopped you.

"W-would you visit him tomorrow again? I'm sure he would like to thank you properly" he told you.

Thinking about it, you really did want to visit him.

He caught your eye afterall.

You nod at him with a big smile "Yeah, if you don't mind I mean"

The broad shouldered guy shook his head aggressively "No no, Absolutely not, your welcome here anytime miss".

Two days passed since then,you would visit him with a basket of fruits or small muffins with you everytime you were free from work.

You also bonded with the brothers well by that time, and the youngsters practically loved the muffins you brought.

"So uh, what next?" Namjoon's voice interrupted your thoughts, as he looks at you with a forlorn look.

"Hm...I wanted to ask you something Kim, if you don't mind" You ask him, leaning towards him slightly.

"Uh yeah, anything" Namjoon felt his face heat up a little at the slight proximity.

"Do you want to go on a date with me?" You ask, completely throwing Namjoon off at the straightforward question.

Namjoon felt like a high school girl with a crush, all red faced and stuttering and stumbling in front of his crush.

"I uh- yes?" He uttered out, making you raise your eyebrows.

"Is it a question or an answer?" You quiz.

He immediately shakes his head "NO NO, I mean I would love to go on a date, if you want to i mean"

You smirk at him and continue to peel more oranges.

"so....is that a yes?" Namjoon asks, quite unsure of your expression.

You look up at him and hand him yet another orange "After you get discharge, rest for a week, then bring your bike out at the central plaza. We can go bike riding as a date" you tell him, popping a orange in your mouth this time.

He flushes up, the image of you sitting sexily on a bike was NOT what he wanted to imagine with you infront. But he couldn't help it.

"FINALLY, MY BABY BROTHER IS GETTING THAT ASS!!!" A very loud voice, interrupted them yet again. Making Namjoon groan.

"FUCK OFF SEOKJIN" He yelled, embarrassed out of his wits as the girl laughed out loud beside him.

"YAH! WHERE ARE YOUR HONORIFICS YOU SHIT MONSTER".

Hey I'm that anon from the first ask of this : pick one of your favourite mutals and go into detail why you like them/became mutals with them (has to be different from the last mutual you picked)

One of my favorite mutuals is @cupid-shortcake!!! She is SO SO SO AMAZING!!!

I first met them when we both joined the Better Casino AU, and they immediately struck me as a super interesting and funny person! They seemed to click instantly with @cups-and-pentacles, who is also super awesome, and watching them banter with each other and get really excited over things and build EPIC character lore together in the discord chat was energizing! The way they showed such enthusiasm for the things they cared about made me want to do the same thing! They always made me smile. (They still do all of these things. I’m not sure why I used past tense.)

But THEN I also got to build character lore with Cupid!!! We’ve collaborated a lot actually, and it’s always a blast, because she always has such great ideas, and she’s so encouraging of my own ideas, and the excitement builds as stories go bouncing back and forth with increasing speed as details accumulate and solidify and connect! We collaborated on our TADC OCs, for instance, making them siblings and revising their designs and starting to build their lore, and it was so much more fun than just working on my own OC alone. And of course, in the Better Casino AU we’ve figured out that [PLOT SPOILERS REDACTED] because [PLOT SPOILERS REDACTED] which makes a clever parallel to [PLOT SPOILERS REDACTED]. Ooooh, I’m so PROUD of all that lore you’re not allowed to know yet!!! And it was so much more fun to collaborate on it!!!

And also I will always be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL to Cupid for being the first of my friends that I have managed to convince to read The League of Seven! One of my absolute favorite obscure book series!!! It’s not just a favor to me, they seem to be very invested in the plot by now. Muhahahaha I have trapped her. It’s so amazing that I finally have someone to fangirl over these books with! It makes me happier than I can coherently express!!!

OH, and I almost forgot to talk about Cupid’s actual, y’know, ARTWORK! I LOVE Cupid’s art so freaking much!!! The way she draws all her characters just feels friendly somehow. It’s cute without overdoing it, a gently approachable sort of whimsy. It’s spunky without feeling sharp, and is soft while retaining a reliable solidity. The colors are somehow both bright and pastel simultaneously. It is charming and sweet and I love it so much!!! :) It’s the sort of art style where you instinctively smile when you see it, especially when the character is waving right at you and smiling back.

From their amazing art to their sugary pink aesthetic to the enthusiastic and genuine way they interact with their friends and others, Cupid is just a really wonderful person to know and to create stories with! I feel so so lucky that I’ve gotten to become her friend and make art with her!!!

For Meronia’s Christmas reading list I’d recommend 3 fanfictions from @empressofthewind . I love all of them and want to draw fanarts (more ambitious: to do the illustrations) for them 🤣🤣🤣

1/ Gingerbread: this fic is so sweet that I have a toothache. I picture in my head it’s 7 year-old Near and 9 year-old Mello. If you are into fluffs don’t miss this. Unfortunately I have drawn a gingerbread house in my latest fanart I shouldn’t repeat the same thing in such a short time 😅

2/ Bright lights and warm lips: I think this is the second part of “Gingerbread” but they do sound older in this fic to me: maybe 11 and 13 years old? Anyways there are A LOT of scenes to draw: the market scene, the robot toy charm scene, and especially the kissing under fireworks scene!!! 😭😭😭 Imagine a white boy with all the colors luminating all over him and his dark eyes. And below is the market in bright lights. So many glowing things to draw. So beautiful 😭😭😭 I have been wanting to make it a “Happy New Year” fanart since I first read it in September. But someone else beats me to that and although the empress said she didn’t mind me drawing it again, well … I do mind 😝 so see you next year.. or Fourth of July?

3/ Red, Green and White: to me this fic is the most creative among the 3 because it’s a normal life AU: just 2 random guys being “competitive neighbors” and yet it’s sooooo Meronia 🥹🤣😂 And yes I chose to draw the kissing under mistletoe from this fic 😘 I wanted to make it a tender kiss but clearly it wasn’t what happened in the fic and I tried to respect the author’s idea and made it as close to the fic as possible. So we have here Mello smirking at a blushing and shocked Near after the unexpected kiss (I think I failed at their expressions though looool). The empress always writes Mello as an annoying childish brat with a lot of flaws/bad traits but somehow I can never hate him 🤣🤣🤣 The ending with Mello being “the most popular attraction” is very endearing to me 🥰🥰🥰
