how did you learn to draw? im a beginner and trying to figure out how to do all this stuff (with some tips from artists i like)

I studied a lot from photos and artists I admired and I started with subjects I really liked (anime) so I was motivated to practice a lot. My mom used to work at a paper manufacturer so we had all these huge pads of paper around the house that made drawing very accessible. If you're the kind of person that can learn from books I remember books about shape and form being helpful. Ummm some tips are to save all your drawings even if you hate them because it'll be excellent motivation down the line to see how much you've improved and it's a good time capsule into that period of your life. If you're working with pencil use a second piece of paper under the heel of your hand to keep it from smuging your work. If you do digital art flip your canvas a lot. Once you know how to draw a realistic human eye it's really not that hard but it will look cool and impress your friends.
