A stupid fan theory, nevertheless-
So, I just finished reading ACOTAR for the first time after a couple of years, and My refusal was initially  because a couple of years ago I was a big brain book snob who wouldn’t read “ tiktok books” but thank fuck I’m not anymore because- OMMGMGMGMGMJDIHGSUYEGURRHG HELLLLLOOO. AZRIEL? HI LUCIEN? DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE YA FANTASY YA’LL I AM SCREEECHINNNG.
Anyway.
Imagine if Rhys and Feyre weren't suppose to be mates, but because Rhys had basically had fallen in love with her by the time of her mortal death, that the magic in him from the cauldron recognised his want and forged the bond he had already felt with her much more thoroughly than any mate bond before, essentially doubling the mate bond and it's strength.
I need to go touch some grass.
Idk this is something that just popped up into my head this isn’t a researched fact ppl

A court of thrones and roses-
romance 3/5
spicy 1/5
Guys, I sold my soul to Sarah J Mass...jk alright, the hype was worth it. Booktok was right again. and I highly recommend it. I love Feyre; I love her character development and her whole family issue; coming from taking care of her family and sacrificing so much of her life to just coming to an entire New World to reinvent herself is so exciting. This happens because she kills a wolf, a fairy who was Tamlin's soldier who he sent off in the woods so that he can break a curse that was on Prynthian for the last 50 years. The curse is for 50 years; most of Prnthian has to be under the mountain, except for part of the spring court, which is stuck wearing masks for 50 years and tormented by a magical curse that depletes the magic from each high lord. Acotar is actually a beauty and beast retelling which i didn't know until after the reading the series.
Feyre is given an ultimatum of being killed or being brought to live in Prythian on the treaty between of the fairy and mortal lands treaty and this is when she is brought to the spring court by Tamlin, and this is when the plot starts to quicken we learned that there is a curse and she knows she has to break a curse, but she doesn't know how to because everyone is so secretive about it, so she has to find specific ways how to break it without breaking. The rules are so crazy to me, and she also falls in love with Tamlyn, a spring court high lord, who she hates. Still, in reality, she hates all fae just because of the prejudice of the mortal lands, and how they make them seem, but once she gets over that prejudice towards the fae, she starts to fall in love with Tamlyn. And the whole under the mountain part is one of my favorite parts of the book. Yeah, Amarantha captures her, and she has to go through these trials, but just reading it is just so awesome to me. Mind you, I also had the graphic audio audiobook while reading at the same time so that I could hear the characters' voices while reading it, and I like the music, and the sound effects help you experience the book so much better as well. It's so cool; not only do you get to imagine it in your head, but you also get the sound effects, guys. It makes the book experience so much better, and if you can get your hands on the graphic audio audiobook, I highly recommend that you do.

Please understand that there are cultural differences and language differences, if you see this happening let the person clarify what they meant, that person might just not be familiar with words the western side of the internet use

So, just curious how many writers and creators will have to be forcibly outed by relentless harassment before we acknowledge that "This queer characters was written by a cishet person and that's why they're bad" is not good criticism.

Hunting Prince Dracula
By Kerri Maniscalco
Spicy 0/5
Romance 2/5
This is the sequel to the series Stalking Jack the Ripper, and I loved it because this is one of the few second-series books that don’t have second-book syndrome meaning it still is captivating even after the first book. We get a lot of angst between Thomas and Audrey, and the tension keeps you on the edge of your seat because you want them to hurry up and get together by the end of this book. This takes place around a month and a few weeks after the first book, and I recommend if you haven't read the first book, read it before starting this one. Spoilers are ahead, so read the following sentences knowing the first book will be spoiled.
Audrey Rose is going to a forensics academy in Romania with Thomaswell. While on the train ride over, a body is discovered murdered and impaled, and a whole new career murderer is on the loose, stabbing and draining victims of their blood. While navigating being the only female student at the academy and trying to unravel this mystery, she must cope with the loss of her brother and process the fact that he committed the murders to bring their mother back to life.
Even though this book series is YA and I tend not to read as much as any more than when I first started reading, I expanded my horizons and decided to complete reading this series because Kerri Maniscalco is such a good author and, in my opinion, is such an underrated author.

Idk man I might get torn to shreds for saying this, but I simply cannot understand the new trend, particularly among younger internet users, where people write a laundry list of their triggers in their bio and then expect everyone to read and cater to said list on a PUBLIC PLATFORM.
This is the same mentality that drives people to attack appropriately tagged fics on AO3 for having x y or z content because “How dare you post this when I have trauma about this???” Obviously if someone is going to write a super heavy and highly sensitive fic and NOT tag it properly, they ought to be called out on it. But this isn’t about that, it’s about the people who don’t curate their own content, it’s about the people who enter public spaces and demand that the general public cater to THEM specifically.
Additionally: Listing out your triggers for everyone to see is just ASKING for trolls to come into your inbox and flood you with triggering content. (Unfortunately, as much as we would like to believe otherwise, the internet is full of selfish jerks who don’t give a crap about anybody’s trauma.) Not only this, but the algorithm does not read your bio. The algorithm does not care about your triggers unless YOU make sure to block specific tags and content.
YOU are responsible for curating your own content, and nobody else.
Obviously this is not to say people shouldn’t try to tag their posts for common triggers, because that’s the common courtesy thing to do. But if Becky has a phobia of bees, it is on her to block that tag and curate her feed around it, and she does not get the exclusive right to suddenly demand that nobody talk about bees within a ten mile radius of her. If Alec has a phobia of dogs, then it is well within his right to avoid contact with them, but he doesn’t get to go to a public park and yell at anybody who brings their dog there. It is his responsibility to know his own limits and seek out parks that are dog-free. (If someone brings a dog to a dog-free area, that’s a whole different issue that I won’t be getting into rn but yes, the person who does that is in the wrong there.)
The internet is widely a public space. If you want to create a safe space completely and utterly free of your specific triggers, you have to put the work in to make that space for yourself. You don’t get to ask other internet strangers to do it for you.
I’m saying this out of genuine concern (and admittedly, frustration) because there are so many young teens in fandom nowadays who don’t understand this, and they end up putting themselves in extremely vulnerable and even downright dangerous situations because they don’t understand that putting your well-being in the hands of a stranger is a terrible idea.
Please be safe, and for the love of all that is holy, be reasonable. Curating your content yourself is just as much a protection for you as it is a vital key that allows public communities to function.
