Mid July WIP Update!

Man, I haven’t updated in forever. I suck lol

Anyway! I’m up to chapter fourteen of the third draft currently for Hidden Report. I’m taking it a bit slower at this point since I have two readers currently working on the beginning chapters, and I don’t really want to go into draft four without their feedback.

So, why not use the time to take draft three slow? I was hoping to have it published by November, but we’ll see how likely that is to occur. If it isn’t, I’ll just end up shelving it until December since I’ll be focusing firmly on NaNoWriMo and the second book in November. It’ll likely get backburnered somewhat in October as well, since I’m going to be doing a lot of warm up writing for Kinktober to prepare for NaNo.

I’m actually really pleased with how it’s coming along. I’m working on incorporating some more internal details for both Ash and Faysal since some of that inner dialogue has been missing across the board and has been feedback I’ve received multiple times.

I’m also still chipping away at Beloved. I need to post the next scene to AO3, but I want to do some more editing and adding to it before I do. The editing I’m doing to the novel is making me think I should do the same to Beloved and my other accompanying short stories for HR.

The cover is also coming along nicely. I’m still going back and forth with my amazing artist, and the progress it is making is fantastic! I just worked out the font the title will be in, and we’ve figured out the lighting for the cover illustration.

I also have been working on my art. You can see here one of my experiments since I recently bought Clip Studio Paint and have been trying to learn how to use it, and this cute illustration came out of that effort. I quite like it, rough as it is in places.
