Whatever dread Hiccup was harboring inside him vanished. Snow gathered at the edges of his vision as he leaned in to kiss Jack goodbye. He was in love — he was loved. He wanted to ask Jack if he could come with him this time. The fierce desire to step over the threshold of Berk with both Toothless and Jack by his side reared its head, but he swallowed it for now, content with the chilly pressure of Jack’s forehead against his. He was in love, he was loved, and he was struck with a deep certainty that he would do anything to keep that love in his life. He shivered from the gentle sensation of Jack’s claws tracing his cheekbone. He’d keep this. As long as Jack loved him. He’d keep this.

It’s not the exact anniversary, but last April I posted the first WWH drawing which led to me meeting the some of the loveliest people, making a genuine friendship, and rapidly developing my artistic style and writing voice. It’s so bizarre to think this crack crossover ship would mean so much to me in the last year but it did. What is in the water here. Anyway. Thank you for engaging with my work, it means the world!

it’s my first ever hardcover bind so i was prepared to make a lot of silly little mistakes and this one definitely does, but i love how it turned out still, i think she’s so cute .. i’m also just happy to finish a personal project that took up so much time to make 🥹

Translations Chapter 3 WIP

Believe me. Jack wouldn’t believe himself, drenched and shaking as he was, but he needed Hiksti to. He couldn’t let him worry.

Hiksti began speaking again, more slowly and less frantic, and Jack focused on the words breezing past his right ear, ruffling his hair. Winter, cold, fear, dream. A sigh. Hiksti unfurled from him then, and Jack’s entire front chilled with his absence. He kept one hand on Jack’s bicep. For reassurance — whether for Jack, or for himself — it didn’t matter. Jack was just glad it was there.

Hiksti led him out of the water.

“No, wait, Jack!” Fishlegs rummaged through his horse’s saddle, and sure enough, he pulled out Jack’s beaten up hat, the blue feather dripping with mud.

I wanted to let you know that you are one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to art. I found you through your previous deathnote stuff ages ago. I have no idea who the guys you are drawing now are (its called hijack but i don't see any unlawful possession of vehicles), but they're always so full of life and emotion that I can't help but love them and every drawing you put out.

Will. You ever finish The Lights of Avalon? I'm literally sooooo invested now I can't wait for you to post more chapters (I don't wanna rush you of course, I just love the story soooo much! I love your story writing AND your art so much!

I PLAN TO!! Irl stuff's been keeping me busy lately is all! It was working on TLOA that actually sidetracked me from TLOA because I got really into Arthurian lore and started playing in the sandbox and coming up with some original projects! My heart's still very much attached to the fic for that reason, and I want to take the time to smooth out the bumps in my outline before returning to it (I reread it recently and the writing's so clunky weeps)

Thank you so much for reading it and sending me such a sweet ask!! Just know that the wait's for the best because oh god....the old writing.....help.....

Fr tho I've gotten similar asks a couple times and tbh I don't have a solid answer. Like, EVER ever, within the next decade? Probably at some point 😂 Lately I've been leaning towards personal projects I have in the works, so hijack is taking up what little fandom space I have left in my wee lil' brain. I've tried sketching them a couple times but wasn't really feeling it. Death Note typically isn't my go-to comfort media, I made this tumblr after being inactive on all platforms for several years because the rewatch made me so sad I had to aggressively make lawlight happy to counteract it😂😂😂

Long story short is don't wait on me! There's awesome death note artists out there and my old stuff is still up for perusing! I'm really happy you enjoyed my dn craze, I had a blast when I was active in the fandom!

In all honesty---and I was just talking with a friend about this---I really don't like how most of my old death note art looks 😂 Most of it was drawn during a time where I felt really disconnected from art, and the softer shading/unfinished sketchy-lookingness came from my wanting to make things low pressure so I could just have fun! So I completely agree!! I started enjoying art more when I went with the flow of the mistakes! Technical foundations are always important to practice, but on the whole I often find letting the medium do its own thing and meeting it in the middle results in some of my best work (otherwise I wouldn't be even attempting colouring art rn LMAO)

I really love your dn art, I love how shiny and blurred out it is. There's something so tender about that texture especially the way you draw lawlights cheeks and hair love you 😘🥰

Aw thank you, I really appreciate that! I'd like to say that was intentional but really it was because I didn't have a good workflow for polishing drawings digitally so I just used one soft charcoal brush for literally everything and sized it up when I wanted to shade something 😂 Thanks again dude!
