Some behind the scenes pictures from Paul's short film The Day of the Sun Dog, which was filmed this time last year on the Isle of Wight.

Also starring Kerrie Taylor (who was with Paul in a theatre play in 2021) and Alvin the Dog.

It has been selected by a couple of festivals already.

In Roxy's case? No. It won't give her an upset stomach or case anymore trouble than it would your average human. In basically every setting this would even be relavant, she would have a similar digestive system to a human but more slanted towards needing more meats and stuff. She can have cheese, milk, chocolate, anything she wants basically. Even if she couldn't, there's still dog safe chocolate she could have so she wouldn't have to miss out or anything.

She just really hates grapes. They give her all the bad brain signals saying 'this is bad and you shouldnt eat it' kind of thing. It won't kill her, but she likes to say it will so she can avoid eating them lmao

#i mean #chocolate isn't good for anyone or anything really #I've never known it cause more than an upset stomach in dogs before so it's like #some can and some can't tolerate it right?#I just think it would be a little funny if she's an animatronic in this scenario and she was programmed to avoid the same stuff you would-#with a dog #and then she just Doesn't.#and loves basically all of it EXCEPT the grapes #loves the chocolate she's not supposed to have but will cry if she has to eat grapes #gets so dramatic over it #imagine a husky tantrum but it's because chica is trying to convince her to eat a singular grape #just on the floor acting like it's a death sentence when she can process it completely fine #but hey it works out!#she learns how quickly they can kill off a dog and now she makes absolutely sure that anyone with a dog knows this!#her fucking hating them helps to sell it to people that you should not give dogs grapes!#it worked out!!!#not for roxy though.#she's even MORE dramatic about it now #she is forever upset that all the drinks flavours with her face on are grape :(#she's actually devastated #sees Chica drinking it and is staring in absolute horror and disgust #the look on her face is akin to Monty's when Chica eats a spider in front of him #the only dare roxy will not ever do is one where she's dared to consume any grape flavoured product #there was too much at stake one time and she felt she had literally no choice so she did it...#you know the meme where a blorbo drank the grimace shake and died immediately?#she did that.#she was fine of course but devolved into pathetic little whines on the floor #she won the dare but at what cost #i love it when blorbos are so passionate about hating one very specific thing like this it's very fun #she's just sulking in the corner for like an hour how could they make her do this

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
