really tired of seeing gen z on tiktok romanticizing and glorifying psych hospitals by calling them “vacations” and posting about how fun they are when in reality most hospitals will not let you have your phone, they don’t have fun group activities everyday, you don’t have your own room, you don’t get a three course meal etc.

and then i’ll see people come out of some hospitals being like “i was just having a silly little breakdown and people there were actually severely mentally ill?” like where do you think you are? you’re in a place designed to help severely mentally ill people and now you’re surprised that severely mentally ill people are there?

stop romanticizing psych hospitals. stop calling them ‘vacations’. stop making fun of people with debilitating disorders utilizing the facilities that are designed for them.

Love the idea of anytime Bofur gets really drunk after meeting Bilbo his go to drunk action (we all have one) is to just grab hold of Bilbo and cuddle with him all night while the others still bring him drinks. Bilbo is just content to lean back against his chest and enjoy the cuddles.

Someone walks over and tells Bofur he needs to get up to do something and he just grumbles. Fili and Kili were in hysterics laughing when Bofur ended up accidentally telling Thorin to fuck off because he didn’t notice it was him when Thorin asked him to do something. Bilbo is trying not to laugh while the others are laughing their heads off and Thorin is rolling his eyes but doesn’t take it personally because he’s happy his company are enjoying themselves when they have such a tough road ahead of them.

Can’t stop thinking about how the best way to keep Eddie safe in most time travel fix its, whether it’s a loop or not, is to have the police arrest him and put him in a cell. Ideally before anyone dies, but if that’s not possible, before Patrick and Fred die. He can’t have killed them if he was sitting in custody at the time.

Mostly can’t stop this thought from bubbling up because of the idea that Steve is the one who brings the police after Chrissy, and stands there and watches while Eddie is arrested, watches it, knowing that he’s saving Eddie’s life, and ruining any chance of Steve ever finding out if the spark he felt the first time was real.

It’s all birds: blue Jay and Baltimore oriole, with fresh spring green ash leaves and an autumnal red oak. And maybe a hexagon in there somewhere, I can’t sort that out.

Anyway, this would encapsulate a lot of my favorite things in one go. All that’s missing is bugs! And a loon and pines, but that’s going on the other arm!

Maybe it’s futile to say this, but this humble scribble is for my use only.
