to me mounders are found family but not in a standard siblings-esque dynamic or anything. particularly early on it’s like they have the unshakable camaraderie of like, college dormmates bonded through their mutual befuddlement of what shared teachers they have, or acquaintances stuck in a elevator together, or shipwreck survivors caught in the same stretch of land.

and it’s happenstantial up until they’re maybe a little too loyal a little too giving for what should ultimately amount to amicable neighbors. it’s happenstantial until they start to notice that they choose eachother over and over again, in their own ways. it’s that they care for eachother and they fight for eachother and they mourn for eachother as a whole and individually. and it’s fascinating.

It’s canon that Roy flirts with Hetero-acceptable Jamie (Jamie’s mom) and Jamie makes comments about the attractiveness of Hetero-acceptable Roy (Roy’s sister is indeed well fit)

Listen, professional sports, especially for men are notoriously homophobic right? Hyper masculine spaces that any sense of weakness or femininity is ruthlessly mocked and shamed.

Roy and Jamie are not toxic like that, and I’m not saying they are, but Colin wasn’t afraid to come out for no reason, right?

So I’ll never not find it absolutely fascinating that the first opportunity they get to show interest (even faked interest, Jamie was absolutely saying something about Roy’s sister to get a rise out of Roy) in women related to the object of their obsession (each other) they do.

Something something Freud and this isn’t well thought out, but like? Dude.

Roy’s sister is a safe space for Jamie’s attraction to Roy and Jamie’s mom (beautiful casting honestly) is an acceptable outlet for Roy’s attraction to Jamie, especially in an already emotionally charged moment that’s set Roy back on his heels.

Keeley being there also drastically alters the dynamic and maybe makes Roy’s penchant for hugging Jamie feel a little odd? They’re both supposed to be in love with her after all.

Jamie’s comment about Roy’s sister being well fit is obviously meant to give Roy an option to be grouchy and mean when he’s emotional about his uncles day gift, but it does allow Jamie to make a flirty comment.

I have not thought this out well, but there’s something about it that makes me feral.

Damian sneers at Jason, wrinkling his nose as he somehow looks up at Jason but down his nose at him. God, he’s a brat.

“You’re such a butthead, Damian,” Jason taunts, placing his hands on his hips. He purposefully leans over Damian, reminding the little twerp of how much bigger Jason is.

Damian tuts, forehead wrinkling as he glares at Jason.

“I would expect nothing less of you, Todd. Resorting to such childish insults.”

Jason, then, vaguely recalls a memory of a similar conversation between him and Dick. Back when Jason was Robin.

Smirking, Jason grabs Damian quickly. Damian yelps, eyes widening as he is pinned to the ground. He thrashed in Jason’s hold, but Jason’s already moving.

Jason sits on Damian’s head. Gently, mind you, he doesn’t need a lecture from anyone for being too rough.

“You’re literally a butthead, Damian.”

Jason laughs over Damian’s outrage, shooting up and running out of the room. Damian’s war cry follows after him.

Oddly specific headcannon time:

So, we know Neil is a neck kisser. It’s just a fact. HOWEVER, I do believe Andrew also is a neck kisser (specifically, Neil’s shoulders) he’s a biter. Too add to this- when he does it, he holds the back of Neil’s neck. (Time for the oddly specific description). His fingers are wrapped around the back of Neil’s neck. His thumbs (which are in the front. Almost like this 👍 but with his hands open) are touching Neil’s jawline. When he bites kisses Neil’s neck, he puts his thumbs underneath Neil’s jaw and tilts his face up. He does this because he doesn’t want Neil to look down (aka, he doesn’t want Neil to try to kiss him) and this helps him keep Neil where he wants him.

Part 2:

Neil also does the same hand position when he and Andrew are kissing (the fingers on the back of his neck and the thumbs on his jaw). When they pull away, he presses their foreheads together, gives Andrew this soft, totally in love look, and rubs his thumbs against Andrew’s jawline.
