MC is a big fan of horror and it scares people
Deuce: Hey Prefect, what are you listening to?
MC, taking out an earbud: It's, uh... a podcast.
Ace: Oh, don't tell me ya listen to sports podcasts like Jack?
Jack: Hey!
MC: No, it's a true crime podcast.
Grim: What's true crime?
MC: Stories of crime that actually happened. Here, I'll show you.
[MC unplugs their phone and turns up the volume]
Narrator: ...Police were horrified at the sight of the young man, standing with a distant look in his eyes over the corpse of his brother, who had received several bashings to the face and shoulders.
Ace:
Deuce:
Jack: Why do you listen to this?
MC: It's soothing, okay?
Epel: Murder. Is soothing.
MC: Yes!
Sebek: Humans and their violent tastes... how disgusting.
MC: Oh, wait until you hear about the Zodiac Killer.

Lmao so funny story, I found history searches on my fathers devices about *cyanide* and “easily obtainable poisons” and *I hate women/I hate my wife and kids/abuser/misogynistic related things* also chemsee sells test kits for not too expensive amounts. Also, just keeping these posts as a reminder that my father (and brother) tried to poison me since I was a minor, so it doesn’t get lost.

"Jaydee why do you keep defending paraphiles"
Because I also have a mental illness that people think is scary (Borderline Personality Disorder is often treated-- even by psychiatrists!-- as just "crazy female disease"). I listen to a lot of true crime and love hearing about serial killers. Men who commit horrifying acts of violence and end up on "top 10 most evil people imaginable" are diagnosed as psychopaths. Women who do the same thing are diagnosed with BPD.
(Katherine Knight, an Australian woman who murdered her husband, skinned him, cooked parts of his flesh and was going to feed him to his own children, has the same diagnosis as me. Fun!)
"Jaydee, the vast majority of people who suffer from BPD and other personality disorders live relatively normal lives. Just because someone has BPD doesn't mean they're going to cook their husband."
Tumblr media
If it's hard for ME to find a therapist who's equipped to treat my diagnosis-- cluster B personality disorders are considered "hard mode" and I have to have someone specially trained-- imagine how difficult it is for someone experiencing sexual attraction toward children (or animals, or cars, or corpses-- paraphilia just means "sexual feelings towards an inappropriate subject") to find the help they need and deserve.
At least I can TELL people I have BPD and I've been trying to talk about it more to normalize it, but in the "real" world? You tell someone you have one of the scary flavors of brain sauce and they will always look at you differently. I'm especially aware of that, but rarely do I feel like if I tell someone I have BPD, they'll immediately block me on all social media or stop being my friend.
Having BPD doesn't mean it's okay to cook your husband (or that you're going to) and having paraphilia doesn't mean it's okay to harm a child (or that youre going to). No one's saying "it's okay to hurt people actually."
What we're saying is that thinking about something is not doing it. People who suffer from mental illness-- from thoughts they did not ask for and often do not like-- deserve compassion, not stigmatization. Being mentally ill is not a crime.

People I wanna Know Better Tag
I was tagged by @gaym3bo1 🙃🙂
Last Song? -
Favourite Colour? - Pink (all shades), Goldenrod, Royal Blue, Slate Grey.
Currently Watching? - The Sign, Cherry Magic Th, Dead Friend Forever.
I really wish I had time to watch more than three, but I really don’t. Actually it’s not even time, it’s the mental wherewithal. I’m not well enough physically or mentally to be able to focus on shows, which is why I’m typically at least one episode behind (except with The Sign). Usually if I get more than three episodes behind in a series, I just put them on hold and ‘watch’ them via my dash and YouTube videos.
Last Movie? - Pretty sure it was The Haunting in Venice, a surprisingly good murder mystery with a stellar cast, based extremely loosely on the Agatha Christie novel; Hallowe’en Party.
Sweet/Spicy/Savoury? - Spicy.
Current Obsession? - If I had to say something, it would probably be The Sign. If you can even call something I spend one night/morning a week focused on, an obsession. I wish I had a hobby I was obsessing over at the moment, but I’m battling anhedonia currently and because of that mental health issue, my ability to really even have a hobby or obsession is basically null.
Last Thing You Googled? - Ummm 👀👀 I may have been looking up crime scene photos of a decapitated head from 2012. Listen, BestGore is gone okay!? It’s hard times out there for us fuckers with a morbid sense of curiosity and strong stomachs. And before anyone comes at me for me being disrespectful, firstly I couldn’t find any of the pics of the head, just the pics of the various crime scenes. Also I’m nowhere near as disrespectful as the dude who ate the woman, okay 😝
Selfie or another picture you took? - We’re gonna go with another picture, this is my fun corner of the internet and I’d rather not have my gaming profile and followers find out and ruin that for me lol.
So have a picture of my cat (I have two) The other one is nowhere near as big or as fat as this dude is. Love this big guy but there’s not a thought in his head lol, bright eyes, empty head.
Tumblr media
Tagging - I honestly don’t know who to tag, I don’t wanna be a bother to anyone. It’s currently 1am and I’m feeling weirdly anxious, so the idea of possibly bothering someone with an unwanted tag is actually really nerve wracking so some reason. So if you wanna do this, consider yourself tagged!

Your serial killer!Joel has given me thoughts: you know how there's a lot of interest in true crime? What if Joel is a notorious serial killer. Maybe he's in prison, maybe he hasn't been caught. Is he still active and looking for his next victim?
What if Reader was a true crime fanatic and Joel was her fav? She knows everything that's publicly available about his crimes, has fallen in love with him, and even moved into his hunting grounds hoping for a chance encounter.
She just knows she could make him love her. (Idk if she'd want to cure him of his ways, or join him. 🤷🏼‍♀️) Basically a "Oh, you thought you were the one hunting here? Heh. Think again." situation.
Oh I absolutely adore this idea. I usually have true crime phases that come and go I might start to get into it again dfbbf
If he's in prison, I love the idea of reader writing letters to him and even stopping by for a conjugal visit 👀 but if he's roaming free it would definitely be interesting if she joined him, OR she manages to find him without much thought and Joel decides to keep her 😩

Iggy didn’t usually keep company but now and again enjoyed having someone to talk to her books about. This one being full of true crime along with some released court documents.
“Yeah..or um, Ed Gein’s furniture,” She has to bite back a smile, maybe she was a little morbid, a little insensitive, “Could you imagine buying a leather couch and it has teeth?”

hello kokichi!!! i know you stated in your pinned post to not ask if you edit something and just check your blacklist, but in this case, i think it's very important to ask. would you be willing to edit for real life killers or shooters? the tcc fandom is getting bigger and bigger and we don't really have people willing to edit for us lol, and it's totally understandable, i'm a big fan of your blog, and i just wanted to ask, sorry if you already answered this before!
thank you ;) there's absolutely no prob in feeling uncomfortable w it, your well being is the most important thing
Well, aside from the fact that RPF/real-life people are on the blacklist (I'm assuming you didn't read the blacklist if you didn't know that. /nm /srs), I am not at all comfortable making edits for real-life killers and shooters for a multitude of reason.
I thought listing RPF/real-life people on my blacklist would be enough, but if I have to add the tcc as a separate thing on my blacklist, I will. /lh /srs
Hope this doesn't sound rude, I don't mean it to seem that way, and thank you for understanding!

TW: mention of unhealthy hyperfixations, mention of true crime, just not the best mental health in this one.
autism culture is getting triggered by being reminded of a character you loved in a show that punished the character like constantly and you got really unhealthily hyperfixated on the show so bad that you didnt sleep for 36 hours straight and its a true crime show and you like true crime but then the character got severe trauma from a case and because you were so attached you had to stop watching and now ever time you see even a slight mention of the show you almost cry and when theres a mention of the character you have a panic attack 🥲.
im doing better now but seeing that character mentioned really sent me into a mini spiral

One of the true-crime shows I watch is “Fear Thy Neighbor,” which is basically stories of neighbors getting mad at one another and usually murdering one or the other.
Anyway, I bring this up because I just started the new season and the first episode is about a set of neighbors in Wilkes-Barre, which is about forty-five minutes from me. One set of neighbors is a pair of loudmouth homophobic bullies, the other neighbor is their verbal punching bag who snaps and murders them during a snowstorm almost three years ago, and literally *everybody*, even the witnesses that day, is fucking armed.
The number of times I heard something on the episode, thought about this area, sighed, and muttered, “Yeah, that tracks” … y’all, I’m just lucky I wasn’t playing a drinking game.

tw death/murder, mention of SA, mention of torture, mention of blood.
fucking. just. saw a horrible tiktok. where this guy assigned his high school freshman students (for normal ppl that’s 14-15yo, so teens but still minors) a project of making a fucking diorama of a true crime murder scene. like the dead bodies, cut off limbs. blood, torture weapons, etc made of clay in a cardboard box room. he skipped one saying that it was deemed "inappropriate for school" (as if all that was appropriate? okay) which i can only assume means it probably was sexually violent? considering the otherwise violent scenes, bodies and nakedness were all left up. i’m disgusted to my core. i’m fortunate to not have had anyone i know personally be a victim of a crime like this, but a family friend’s child (we didn’t know them when this occurred) was murdered in a very horrible way, can you even imagine that child’s pain, that family’s pain, being exploited like this? most of the dioramas included the actual victim’s body, dolls made to look like people who were tortured to death. mostly young women, people of colour, and queer people.
this is bad enough, but what’s worse is that 95% of the comments are praising him, saying this looks like a fun assignment. very engaging. voting for which looked "the best". people were fucking laughing in the comments. i’m not going to link the tiktok because a) it is disgusting to me, b) it doesn’t deserve more traffic, and c) the kids involved are also in video’s on this guy’s page and they don’t need harassment. tbh i thought putting minor students on your public social media wasn’t legal but i guess it is.
as one of the few critical commenters said, "y’all can have kids doing this but critical race theory is where you draw the line". i don’t usually care much about true crime, sometimes a mystery is cool or whatever ig, but this… well for starters it’s no mystery, these were all well known serial killers, i think maybe one wasn’t caught. second, more importantly, this is exploiting horrible crimes and morally so very very wrong, for those families whose children, parents, siblings, cousins, etc were killed and are now being disrespected. that teacher should be disgusted with himself. those praising commenters too.

WHY WHY WHY do people feel the need to either villainize or infantilize disabilities? Like there is rarely any belief in between. I’m thinking about this because of how badly people want to associate Disability with a cold-blooded criminal. I was just reading on the Idaho case and people on Twitter are obsessed with the fact that the suspect used to advocate for invisible disabilities and they are theorizing that he could possibly be autistic AND honing in on possible OCD. WHY do we immediately assume that when someone is a bad person or does something inappropriate/downright awful that they are Disabled? I don’t think people understand how harmful this is to the Disabled community. Stop. Stop. Stop.

do you have any suggestions or advice for people with ASPD who experience strong homicidal thoughts (or thoughts about acts of strong violence in general)? I feel like this topic is already so rarely talked about, and even when it is most resources focus on people struggling with intrusive thoughts, not genuine fantasies. (just to clarify: not in crisis or actually planning to do anything, just annoyed of constantly thinking about this). People usually just say to “get help”, but I’ve been getting help for years now and nothing has changed.
To be honest, most of my current coping mechanisms for violent thoughts are unhealthy but not destructive (most often w**d which is legal where I am and/alcohol), so I don't recommend them. I agree that getting help for these types of thoughts is extremely difficult, especially while balancing the dreaded "danger to yourself or others" mandated reporter line. I do have some ideas, though.
Check google to see if there is a "wreck room" of some kind around you. These are safe places with safety practices and PPE that exist to allow people to take out aggressive anger on items (aka smash things) in ways that are not destructive to your or other's property or person. These are showing up more and more nowadays as we realize that this outlet can be done healthily if people are given the access and tools to do it in a healthy way. While it isn't the same as hurting someone, it stimulates many of the same parts of the brain. Also, doing it in a wreck room means you don't have to do the cleanup. Major bonus there.
If you can't afford that but have things you can break and a safe area you're willing to fully clean later, you can do the same type of thing at home. Make sure you always wear PPE like goggles and gloves, and if you are doing it outside make sure anything a child or animal running through your yard (even if you don't have kids or animals, kids wander and strays exist) is fully cleaned up. Please inform the people you live with if you take this method, as it can be scary to walk in on this type of thing and you could get the cops called on you if you don't inform them. Lie if you have to: "my friend needs broken pieces of XYZ for an art project", "this is really bulky and took up too much space in the garbage can so I'm breaking it down", or the ever iconic "my ex gave it to me", for example.
I sometimes find other replacement behaviors via video games like COD and Apex Legends helpful, but they don't always help everyone.
Punching bags are one of my preferred replacement behaviors, but they are often expensive and difficult to set up, making them inaccessible.
Watching violent movies or documentaries or true crime podcasts on real violent crimes often helps me, but that kind of thing makes things worse for some people.
Gross motor activities like walking, running, swimming, etc can be helpful as they stimulate similar parts of the brain to the ones violent actions do.
I know you mentioned you are not in crisis or active planning, but for anyone who may be, a disclaimer: If you or anyone reading this honestly feels they may be a threat to themselves or others, I can only advise getting help and speaking to a professional about this. Top priority should always be safety above all else, and checking yourself in to get help before you do something drastic is always going to be easier and better for everyone than trying to hide from or handle the repercussions of that event later. There are emergency systems and programs in place to help you learn to cope or find medications that can help you if you are in an urgent situation, before something bad happens, but tumblr is not one of them; I am not one of them.
Whatever you do, please keep yourself and others safe. I hope this helps.
