“Todoroki-san…” Shouto had never cared about honorifics before, but something about Midoriya’s voice speaking his name with such careful, precise formality made him feel like he’d stepped into a fog of humid air. It was thick and oppressive and uncomfortably stifling in a way his quirk could never abate. “It’s not Ka—Bakugou-san—it’s not him I’m avoiding. I mean,” he bit his lip in the same way Midoriya did when he wanted to slow his speech, to ensure he took the time to choose his words carefully, “it’s true that it’s weird for me. It’s not just the cousin thing. Or, I mean, maybe it is, in the end, but it’s just…where I’m from, my Katsuki, he’s always protected me. So it’s odd, being near yours. I know your Izuku isn’t me, but…well, we’re similar, right? I think maybe we have to be. So I don’t like the idea that there’s a version of me out there that a version of my cousin could hate. But more than that…Todoroki-san, more than that, the person I’m avoiding is you.” “Midoriya.” He wasn’t sure what he was going to say and he wasn’t given time to figure it out before Midoriya was speaking again. “I’m sorry,” he said, gripping the edges of his jacket and twisting them in his hands. It was a nervous gesture he’d seen dozens of times, performed by hands that were rough and mangled and broken and nothing at all like the pristine hands he was now looking at. “I’m sorry,” Midoriya repeated. “It’s such an awkward situation. I sort of…I thought maybe your teachers, or your heroes, or whatever it is, I was hoping they would figure things out and this wouldn’t come up. But they haven’t and…I’m so sorry, but if I’m being honest, Todoroki-san, it really hurts to look at you and it feels unfair, because the others, they say I look a little different from your Izuku, but for me, you look just the same. You look exactly like my Shouto, so when I see you, it’s hard because…because in my world, Shouto is…he’s everything, Todoroki-san. To me, I mean. He’s everything. And I know he feels the same because he looks at me like I’m everything, so when I see you and you’re looking at me like you don’t like me, and it’s with his eyes—” “I do like you,” he interrupted. “Or him. Midoriya. The one from my world. He’s one of my best friends.” Midoriya smiled and any words Shouto had left to speak turned to dust in his mouth. Midoriya smiled like he’d been hurt. He smiled like he wanted to apologize for his own injuries. “It’s not that kind of like, Todoroki-san.” Understanding bled through him like a slow-growing stain, permanently altering the fabric of his person. “You mean…you and me…?” “Right. And so that’s why. A Katsuki that isn’t my cousin and a Katsuki that dislikes me…that’s odd and it makes me feel a little strange, but it isn’t something I can’t handle. But a Shouto that treats me like I’m only a friend…that’s more than I can bear. So please. I know I’m overexerting myself. I know it isn’t healthy to keep practicing like this. But right now, this is all I have. So please, Todoroki-san.”

Don’t mind me, I’m just back on my nonsense. Anyone who knows me knows I love Idol Izuku, so this is just based on one of the many daydreams I’ve had on that subject. In this one, a quirk accident causes Izuku to swap places with an Izuku from an alternate universe. This Izuku is cousins with Katsuki (thus the eye color change), has a quirk that is related to increased agility (which he uses for dancing), and is dating Shouto. In this world, there are no heroes or villains, but simply law enforcement and criminals. Quirks aren’t as strong or diverse as they are in the normal bnha world. UA exists, but rather than training heroes, it’s simply a renowned school for specialized career training. Izuku is in their music academy, under Hizashi. Shouto and Katsuki are in the law academy, maybe?? Katsuki wants to grow up to be Izuku’s bodyguard, lol. Enji is a professional fighter—sort of a quirk MMA type of thing—and he wants Shouto to follow in his footsteps. Shouto doesn’t want to. I’m thinking he might want to be a defense attorney. Anyway, I’m never going to write this as a fic but enjoy this little blurb!

TickleTober Day #6: Fog

TodoDeku (MHA)

“Wow, Todoroki,” Deku marveled as he took in the state of their dorm’s living room. He could barely make anyone out for the sudden fog. “This is really impressive! Good job.”

Todoroki’s “thank you” was a quiet mumble, but the greenette could hear how proud he was of himself. He didn’t like to combine his heat and ice unless necessary, but his friends had begged him to try for the sake of giving their dorm an eerie look for Halloween, and Deku could tell that he thought it was pretty awesome too.

“Where’s the creepy music? Bring it on already!” demanded Bakugou, and soon a cheesy Halloween soundtrack off of YouTube was playing through a set of speakers, and a cheer went up among them.

As the others indulged in some spooky-themed snacks or gathered to play games together, Deku sidled up to his partner and nudged him playfully. “Knew you could do it.”

“I thought I could, too,” Todoroki admitted softly. “I just…”

Deku took his hand. “I know.”

Todoroki smiled at him gratefully. Deku smiled back, then shivered. “But now it’s kind of chilly in here, don’t you think?”

“It adds to the ambience.”

“It does.” Deku shifted so he was hugging his boyfriend, snuggling into his chest. He was aware that Todoroki’s heart began to race faster – cute! – but he was on a mission, and he wouldn’t be deterred. “But still…can you keep me warm, Shoto?”

“Hmm? Of course I ca-hahahan!” Todoroki squealed and slapped a hand over his mouth when the smaller boy began playfully tickling his sides. “Ehehehehe wahahahait! Midohohoriya!”

Somewhere nearby, a couple of the girls cooed at him, making him blush furiously and squirm in a desperate attempt to get away.

Deku beamed up at him. “Trick or treat!”

Todoroki could barely form a retort, he was so flustered. He giggled and pushed uselessly at his partner. “I dohohohohon’t hahahahave any cahahahahandy!”

“That’s okay. Your laughter is sweet enough to make up for it!”

TDDK AU | Call the Soul by Name

Soulmate AU where you only find your soulmate when they call you by your name.

For heroes or those with another alias, it's not uncommon for the hero name/alias to also be the name their soul responds to.

Circumstances may differ for each individual of course.

Sometimes you'll find your soulmate when they say your last name. Sometimes it might be your given name, or a nickname. Sometimes you don't find out until your soulmate has their own nickname for you. Sometimes the 'feeling' - the indescribable sensation many relate to the phenomenon of your soulmate uttering your name - may respond to various names you identify by, but differ in intensity for each.

Shouto finds out Midoriya is his soulmate during their internship with Endeavor. When Midoriya yells "Shouto-kun!" while throwing his costume case at him.

Which shocks Shouto into stumbling for a split-second - almost getting hit in the face by the  case.

Once they've calmed down afterwards, Shouto convinces himself that, with the sudden rush in battle, he might've mistaken that 'soulmate feeling' for adrenaline. No one's been able to describe how it felt in concrete detail so Shouto isn't exactly sure what he's supposed to look out for.

He decides to save the conversation for another time - after they deal with all the villain attacks.

A plan that is promptly flung into the back burner when chaos erupts and leads to Midoriya leaving UA.

When Shouto finds Midoriya gone, anger at himself and regret for putting off the soulmate talk burns in his chest. If Midoriya knew about the possibility of their connection, would he still have left?

Knowing his self-sacrificing tendencies; probably.

Midoriya would carry the burden of fighting villains by himself to protect everyone. Maybe even more so if there is a soulmate to be kept safe.

And a part of Shouto is angry at Midoriya for that as well.

For not trusting them to have his back. For being so reckless to do this alone. For not letting them share the burden and fight alongside him.

Nevertheless, it fuels his drive to find his soulmate and bring him back.

Izuku finds out when the 1A comes for him.

When Todoroki yells, calling him 'Deku'.

Todoroki has never called him by his hero name before - it had always been 'Midoriya' even during their internships.

A feeling he can't describe shoots up his spine, almost freezing him in place. His gaze snaps towards sharp heterochromatic eyes and understanding dawns on him.

His resolve wavers for a second.

It's enough to give 1A the opportunity to finally catch him and bring him back.

Back in UA, Todoroki practically sticks to Midoriya's side the whole time, waiting for the opportunity to start that conversation they needed to have.

As the class slowly and hesitantly goes off to give Midoriya the space to clean up, Todoroki volunteers to get an extra set of clothes for him, then silently stays to wait.

When Midoriya steps out of the showers with that heartbreaking exhaustion that now constantly painted his face, Todoroki silently takes the towel from his hands and gently helps him dry his hair.

A tentative silence settles over them before Midoriya softly asks if he had known about them being soulmates. Todoroki only pauses for a moment before admitting that he hadn't always known, but he'd suspected it since their internship.

Midoriya responds with silence.

And something about it draws honesty from Todoroki's lips -  about how he was convinced that he must've imagined it. About how a part of him chalked it up to wishful thinking. Too good to be true because he didn't expect the universe to grant him a soulmate in the first place - much less someone he felt strongly for.

"I'm glad it's you", Midoriya admits with a small smile.

At Todoroki's surprise, he flushes and ducks his head shyly, muttering about how he sees Todoroki as one of his closest friends, and trusts him wholeheartedly.

After another moment of hesitation, he adds that with everything that's been happening, he'd been too preoccupied to think of soulmates or romantic attractions.

Todoroki starts to pull away, but Midoriya frantically holds onto him. "But, Todo- Shouto-kun!"

Shouto shivers at the prickle of warmth that races underneath his skin.

"Ah, I'm sorry, that was rude, I should've asked first, I'm so--"

"No." Shouto interrupts him. "Say it again. Call me Shouto... please..." he tacks on the last part almost like an afterthought, yet it doesn't dampen the expectant look on his face.

"S-Shouto-kun...?" Midoriya acquiesces, jaw dropping at the blush it draws out from the usually reserved.

"It feels warm..." Shouto muses.

Midoriya really can't help but stare.

"I can imagine falling for you easily." He blurts out. His cheeks redden at the horrifyingly honest declaration.

He doesn't take it back though.

Shouto tenses despite how fast his heart pounds. "You don't have to-"

Midoriya shakes his head, "I'm not just saying that... you're... you're incredible, Shouto. You're so strong in many ways. And so kind. You're amazing." He ducks his head, anxiously biting his lip. "I want to try this soulmate thing... if you want--"

"Yes." Shouto breathes out before he could even think about it. "Yes, Mido-- De-- Izuku."

Izuku's eyes widen in surprise and his cheeks turn an endearing darker shade of red. "Oh." He breathes almost reverently. "That sounds better than my hero name."

Shouto's fingers tighten around scarred hands, "Izuku".

The smile that lights up Izuku's face is so radiant Shouto almost chokes out a sob. He hadn't seen that kind of smile from the boy in so long that he eagerly welcomes the burst of affection he had tried to push down before.

"Shouto-kun." Izuku says like a prayer. "Is it selfish? Even when there's so much going on and everyone is in danger and--"

Shouto shakes his head, "it's not selfish to want something good in this shitstorm."

Izuku laughs at his language, "Shouto!"

Shouto's lips quirk up at Izuku's reaction - a far cry from the exhaustion he'd been sporting earlier. "And in any case, I think you, more than anyone, deserve to be a little selfish right now."

Izuku freezes, eyes watering ever so slightly - a glint of hope in the sea of hesitation. As if the idea of something positive seemed impossible to reach for but desperately wanting to leap for it. "Can I... can we really...?"

Shouto leans his forehead against Izuku's - their noses touching. "Yes, if that's what you want."

"Do you? Want this too?" Izuku's scarred fingers trembled in Shouto's grip.

"Yes." He repeats without hesitation.

Izuku's tone softens even more. "Can you give me time? To fall for you?"

"You can have forever if you need it." Shouto responds so earnestly that Izuku can't help but chuckle.

He leans more against the taller boy, trusting him to support his weight as tiredness ladens his limbs despite the way his chest flutters with bliss.

"That's a lot of time," he rests his ear against Shouto's chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat.

Shouto presses his cheek against Izuku's damp locks, "I'll wait."

Izuku's face grows warmer, but his smile doesn't waver even as he feels the beat of his heart racing ever so slightly to catch up to the rhythm of Shouto's.

There's still more they need to talk about later on.

But Izuku's pretty certain of one thing.

"I don't need that long, Shouto-kun."

Little Celeb!AU for BNHA

All of Class1A, along with 1B and others (Shiketsu, etc.) are this new era of actors and big celebrities.

So we have Izuku being a fuckin nerd like he always is, and we have Todoroki, Bakugo, most of the others being sexy mofos getting action movie gigs, big tours. Here’s what I think some of them would become in their celebrity businesses.

Izuku Midoriya is the really cool actor that can fit into a lot of roles. He loves History and published a book about studying under Yagi. He has a very quirky social media presence and is the head of the 1A Finstagram and all their social events are planned by him.

Katsuki Bakugo is just a sex icon, and he fucking knows it. He’s a big face in the Action movie industry and on the weekend posts his gym picks on Finstagram. Only his close friends know he wears glasses and is a huge book nerd, introduced to fantasy by none other than Izuku.

Shoto Todoroki is the wild card of the ‘new era’ actors, or that’s what the people call the young actors that all famously studied together under the famous Yagi ‘All Might’ Toshinori. Shoto will one week show up in a sitcom as a special guest and the next week will be the sexy bad guy in a James Bond movie. He also posts sickeningly sweet things about his fiancé Izuku.

Denki Kaminari is a comedian and an actor. Think Kevin Hart kinda. He is the funky guest that does stand up on the late night talk shows and is a huge face in social media. He appears as the funny guy, but has a Bachelors of Engineering under his belt and a butt ton of money.

Tsuyu Asui went ahead and immediately became a talk show host. With all her friends becoming big in the acting and music industry, she decides to help with their PR, along with getting more connections in the industry.

Eijiro Kirishima is the human version of a Golden Retriever. He is huge in the voice acting community, is in multiple different superhero movies *cough* totally in crimson riot sequel *cough* and all the girls and guys are jealous of him behind married to Bakugo.

“Hey,” Todoroki said gently, prying Deku’s hand away from his blushing face and holding it while his other hand continued to scribble along his side with soft, featherlight touches. “Don’t hide your face.”

Deku let out a little whimper, turning his head to the side. “It’s embahahaharrassing…”

“Embarrassing?” Todoroki murmured, bringing his captured hand up to kiss the knuckles. “Your giggles? Perish the thought.”

“Buhuhuhuhut…” Deku squeaked when Todoroki increased his tickling pressure, making him giggle even harder. “Nohohohoho! Shohohohoto, plehehehehease!”

“I love your laugh, giggle bug.”

“Dohohohohon’t cahahahahahall me—!”

“I love your smile. I love your cute, blushing face and your freckles and your eyes. I love how happy this makes you.” Todoroki kissed his palm. “Don’t feel embarrassed about this. I love it, and I know you love it. Let’s enjoy it together, okay?”

Deku whimpered again, increasingly flustered but also feeling safe and loved at the same time. He tugged his hand away from his boyfriend’s and hid his face again. “Okahahahay, but…but lehehehet me gehehehehet used to thihihis my own wahahahahay. Plehehehease?”

Todoroki’s heart could have about burst. It was just so cute, seeing Deku all blushy and giggly and loving every second but too nervous to be open about it yet.

One step at a time, Shoto.

“All right,” he replied, leaning down to kiss him briefly. “I’m going to tickle a little harder now. Sound good?”

Another whimper. “Yeheheheah.”

Todoroki slid his hands down Deku’s torso to his waistline, gently skittering his fingers along the curve of sensitive skin there, smiling when his boyfriend couldn’t help but squeal and grab onto his wrists, putting his beaming smile on display again.

“Shohohohohoto…!”

“There you are,” Todoroki cooed, putting a little more pressure on, watching Deku toss his head back and cackle helplessly and happily. “See? There’s no need to hide, Izuku. I love watching you fall apart while I tickle you~”

1 - 2 (tododeku)

to Keigo, Touya is warmth, he is fiery passion, and he is the molten heat of mornings after, he is the smell of the fireplace on a cold winter day, he is old worn out hoodies and t-shirts with logos long faded from the wash, but so soft and comfortable they get to stay anyone, he is the clearest of blue skies and the wildest of stormy nights, he is candles flickering late at night, he is the soft and reassuring pressure of a hand on his lower back at times he didn't even know he needed it, he is lithe fingers dancing over piano keys on the rare days he feels the music inside of him, eyes trained on Keigo the entire time he plays, a small, soft smile painting his face in the most beautiful way possible.

To Touya, Keigo is the air itself, essential to life as he knows it, he is bright as the sun, he is the way the first sun rays of the morning sneaks trough the window and paints his wings stark gold, he is the smell of tea morning, day and night, his pretty hands always clutching a warm mug when they are inside their home, he is the mess of tiny freckles dusting his nose, cheekbones, shoulders and arms, the ones only Touya is allowed to touch, he is the sound of fluttering feathers and their eyes meet, every single time, he is the huge collection of grandpa sweaters he has hoarded over the years, he is the small noises of cooing and chirping in the small spaces between them, meant for him, and him only, making it the most special thing Touya knows.

When they are together, they are safety and comfort in ways neither of them have ever knows before, they are long conversations had trough their eyes only, they are the comfortable silence you only find with people you have no fear left of the quiet, they are beds and sofas so filled with blankets, pillows and comfort that it can be categorized as nests, they are the comfort to laugh out loud and unapologetically, slow dancing in the kitchen after midnight, they are going out to find that one 24 hours place who has those pastries they both love at 3 am when one of them wakes up and needs it, no questions asked.

They are the family they always craved, they are comfort and safety, true, unconditional love in the best, most passionate, raw, soft, mundane, special, wild and comforting way possible.

Together, they are the essence of love itself.

Hello! A tododeku hc to drabble, if you're still taking them.

It's not uncommon for them to still feel energetic after training, so they playfully wrestle to get the energy out, but it usually ends up in a tickle fight after accidently grabbing each other’s tickle spots

Headcanon to Dabbles Event: CLOSED!

Cute cute cute so freaking CUTE!!! I love this so much, anon! So I did end up modifying the headcanon a tad- this came out more lee!Midoriya then an actual full blown tickle fight. Still, I hope you like it!

“CATCH ME!” Midoriya called- the only warning Todoroki received before the green haired gremlin was on his back, legs wrapping around his waist and arms around his shoulders. Immediately Todoroki secured him, bending forward slightly so the other wouldn’t fall. 

“Wow, you’re good at this.” Midoriya grinned, resting his chin on the other’s shoulder as they continued to walk. “I was sure you’d hit the ground.”

“You do this after every training day. I’m eventually gonna catch on.” Todoroki huffed out a laugh, feeling his heart skip with each breathy giggle the other let out. “What’s so funny?”

“Yohhhohur tihhihckling me!” Midoriya snickered, squirming against him. It was only then that Todoroki realized where his hands were.

“Oh? You’re ticklish here?” He grinned, squeezing the hand against Midoriya’s thigh, making the other squeak. “What about here?” His other hand joined in, wiggling gently behind his knee. “Should have thought about that before jumping on, huh?”

“Gehahahahha! Shhoohoohohohtoohohohoho! Coohoohohohome ohoohohohohon!” Midoriya snickered and squeaked, squirming against the other helplessly. His arms stayed tightly along Todoroki’s shoulders while his legs kicked and flailed with each new squeeze. “Dohoohoohohon’t tihihiiiihihckle mehehhehhehehe!”

“Or what?” Todoroki retorted. “Whatcha gonna do?”

Midoriya didn’t answer. Instead, he felt the other lean back. Within seconds-

“PFFFFFFFT!”

“GAH!” Todoroki shrieked, dropping the other upon feeling Midoriya’s lips against the back of his neck. He stumbled slightly, hands coming up to feel the skin as the green haired boy behind him howled with laughter. “Ew, you got spit on me! You’re so gross!” Todoroki tried to glare, unable to hold the look as he watched Midoriya roll about in the grass, wheezing with mirth.

“Ahehahahahhahahaha! Yoohohohu scrhehehamamamed so lohoohoohud!” Midoriya rasped, heels kicking the dirt as he hugged his belly, cheeks red and smile wide. “Ohhohohohw my ahahahhahhass huuuhuuhhurts!

A snicker escaped. Then a chuckle. Soon Todoroki was laughing just as much, falling to his knees beside the other. “Pfft! AHehahhahhaha! Serves you rihihihght!” He snorted, only making Midoriya cackle more.

He liked training days.
