Rayla is like:Â
Watched her parents leave âI watched you leave"/"Stood there and watched you walk away, from everything we hadâ, - them being gone/missing for most of her childhood (âbut when will you be back?â) âSkies grew darker, currents swept you out again, and you were just gone and gone, gone and goneâ- Their ghosting/outcasting âCause I honestly believed in you/Holdinâ on, the days drag on" - Her trauma and stigma around her parents betrayal slowly isolating her from everyone âMy friends from home donât know what to sayâ
Coming on a mission of vengeance and murder at only 15 years old and choosing to change the narrative (âMy heart for Xadia!/Say the word and Iâll go back into that tower with you!â) âPeople look at me like I'm a monster"/"I brought a knife to a gunfight"/"when I fought you used to tell me I was braveâ - Fighting her father for people she doesnât know just because its the right thing âthey strike to kill and you know I will"/"you had to kill me but it killed you just the sameâ - Getting ghosted herself and literally being able to travel all over the world and go anymore but not the place she grew up in âAnd I can go anywhere I want, anywhere I want, just not homeâ - Believing in her core that sheâs not good enough even though she did the right thing, believing everyone is right to be disappointed in her (âtheyâre right to reject me! Iâm never good enough and I never will be!â) âI had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting"/"They used to cheer when they saw my face, now I fear I have fallen from graceâ - Truly believing that her pain is irrelevant âI know my pain is such an impositionâ because she thinks she doesnât matter âAlways taking up too much space or timeâ, - Expresses surprise over being loved because no one has ever been so open about it or loved her in her hardest darkest moments âstarry eyes sparking up my darkest night"/"Rare as the glimmer of a comet in the sky, and he feels like homeâ - Thinking she has to defend her parents honor and die because of their supposed failure (âAll of this happened because my parents ran away, so I have to stay and defend the dragon queenâ) âGhosts from your past gonna jump out at meâ/âRemember how I said Iâd die for you?â- Thinking it is her job to save everyone without letting anyone be there for her but it always ends up being more complicated âNever a clean break, no one here to save meâ
The war finally over, everyone thinking things were finally âcalming downâ but she was distracted, stressed, looking for closure, her mind kept reeling until her body finally did as well âClearing the air, I breathed in the smokeâ, - Waking up from nightmares with the reality of 3 of her parents being dead crashing over her and holding strong to that sacrificing mentality ("They said that, sometimes, we make sacrifices so that the ones we love donât have to. Itâs part of protecting themâ) âI wake in the night, I pace like a ghost, the room is on fire, invisible smoke, and all of my heroes died all alone, help me hold on to youâ, Waking from horrible nightmares that Viren has done something to Callum which results in her leaving before he can leave her âI wake up screaming from dreaming, one day Iâll watch as your leaving, and life will loose all its meaning, for the last timeâ, Desperately wanting her logic to be understood ("Please Callum, this is about who I am") "You say, âI donât understand,â and I say, âI know you donâtâ - Had such a fear the world would divide them it tore at her inside until she couldnât bear it âI loved you in spite of, deep fears that the world would divide usâ - Leaving without telling him (âDonât follow me, and donât look for me {I have to go}.â) âLeft Cornelia Street before you even knew I was goneâ - Her self-sabotaging brain thinking that despite the love the last two weeks have given her she still wasnât deserving of good things, and she had to leave because thats what they (meaning her family) did (âBut I canât let you stop me, Callum. No matter how much I want to. I wish I could say that we will see each other again, but I donât know if we will.â) âDonât pretend its such a mystery, think about the place where you first met meâ, - Believing sheâs a burden and her parents arenât Callumâs problem to deal with/sheâs not Callumâs problem to deal with anymore (âfrom doing what I know I have to do. Leaving.â) âIâm not your problem anymoreâ, - desperately hoping that he doesnât hate her even though sheâs hurt him, because she thinks sheâs doing the right thing by building an illusion to protect him (âPlease donât hate me when that illusion fades, Callum.â)âNever wanted you to hate meâ - desperately hoping heâll still trust her and want her after âWill you forgive my soul when youâre too wise to trust me and too old to care?â - Searching everywhere for any trace of Viren, any trace of what happened to her parents to make the wound stop bleeding âTrace the evidence, make it make some sense, why the wound is still bleedingâ - the thought of Callum being something that got her through her hardest times alone âAnd when I was shipwrecked, I thought of you/When it was real enough, to get me through" - the idea of coming home to Callum & Ezran being the only thing keeping her going âAnd I just want to run to you, And every time I donât, I almost doâ,
Not knowing what to say, not knowing how to turn up empty-handed after two years, not knowing what to do to make things better, but only knowing that she is falling apart and is goddamn trying her best and she needs him (âAll day Iâve, I mean, all week really, Iâve been so nervous and kind of edge-frazzled, you know?â) âAnd maybe I donât quite know what to say, but Iâm here in your doorway; I just wanted you to know that this is me tryingâ/âStanding in front of you saying, âIâm sorry for that nightâ, - The part of her brain that is mean to her thinking its justified if Callum doesnât want to be with her anymore after what sheâs done âSo if the chain is on your door I understandâ but deep down her heart wants him to say that it wasnât her fault and everything will be okay and they will be best friends again and that he understands her twisted logic and forgives her for it âTell me that youâre still mine, tell me that weâll be just fine, even when I loose my mind/tell me that its not my fault, tell me that Iâm all you want, even when I break your heartâ - knowing that she has a lot of trust to rebuild with a lot of people âThere are so many lines that Iâve crossed unforgivenâ -resulting to wait forever, offering to put his heart back together, and promising to never leave again, âI want you for worse or for better, I would wait for ever and ever, broke your heart, Iâll put it back togetherâ because he is the best thing that ever happened to her and the best thing thats ever been hers even if she is realizing it and admitting to it a little late (âthe best thing I ever had: youâ) âYou are the best thing thats ever been mineâ.
Long story short the world screwed her over and over and over again. She was the prey so much she quickly had to become the archer in order to survive.
PS. I didnât want to tag every song cuz then it gets launched into a whole different side of Tumblr, but if youâre wondering where I pulled lyrics from they are all listed under the cut in (hopefully) chronological order (even though I did repeat songs a couple times but not lyrics!)

~~
12:59 pm.
The birchwood table nestled in the back of the library was long but otherwise empty, the only thing occupying it being your laptop and quite a few books. He wasnât late. Yet. You werenât going to hold onto that hope, however.
Tutoring Bucky Barnes was not what you had in mind when you volunteered for the peer assistance program at your university. It was true you were only using the club to boost your resume, but you had assumed the only people reaching out for help would be those that actually wanted it. Unfortunately, that was not the case.Â
Sure, Bucky wanted help. Just not with anything that actually warranted the word. He wanted help sweet talking the cops so they wouldn't shut down his parties. He wanted help recruiting girls to show up to his parties. Andâthe one thing you could actually doâhe wanted help passing his classes with the minimum GPA required to not get kicked out of his frat. So he could continue to throw parties.Â
Everything in his life revolved around his fraternity, which made you very important to him. When he wanted you to be.Â
With your apparently astounding knowledge of biology (you took notes during lectures), you became the star in Buckyâs life every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm (give or take ten minutes) to 2:00 pm. He was also very attentive during the thirty minute phone calls he initiated prior to tests, and always looked happy to see you when he passed you devouring a bagel at the crack of dawn in the dining hall.Â
Every situation in which you had come in contact with Bucky was isolated and purposeful (minus the bagel). You didnât hang out or invite each other places, and you were almost positive that if you were to see him in his natural habitat, you would want to tutor him even less than you did now, and that was saying something. So you were important to Bucky during the times you were supposed to be important, and he was important to you in the sense that he was a job.Â
But as your laptop blinked the numbers 1:22 pm back at your unimpressed expression, Bucky became much less important today. You took in a long, tortured breath before sending your gaze up to the ceiling, giving it another three minutes before you truly gave up on him for the day.Â
One minute.Â
Two minutes.Â
The library really needed new ceiling tiles.Â
1:25 pm and you snapped your laptop shut. Your fingers itched to send yet another complaint about this whole ordeal Natashaâs way, but you stopped yourself. She had already heard plenty about Barnes at this point, plus she always gave you a weird look every time you came stomping into the apartment, grumbling about something else he had done.Â
You hated her weird looks, all raised eyebrows and stiff lips.
With your backpack heaved onto the table and your things slowly funneling in, you figured a nap was the best reward for sitting in the library for an unnecessary twenty-five minutes. Your last prickle of irritation was stifled at the prospect of a warm bed as you stood, only to find that irritation had returned to you tenfold. In the form of Bucky Barnes.Â
âYou going somewhere?â he seemed to taunt, his bag slung casually over one shoulder.Â
Your jaw ticked. âHome.âÂ
His mouth turned up at one side, an expression you had learned meant he found you amusing. He never seemed to outright laugh at your annoyance, but apparently, it was hard to tamp down all of the joy he got out of it. Bucky took two long strides to meet the table you were attempting to abandon.Â
âBut I still got aboutââ he checked his watch ââthirty-three minutes? And an arsenal of questions about amino acids. Help a guy out.âÂ
âAnd I still gotââ you checked the nonexistent watch on your wrist ââno patience for this today. Youâre over twenty minutes late, Barnes. Use that watch to set an alarm on Wednesday and Iâll tell you everything youâll inevitably forget about amino acids then.âÂ
He groaned, rounding the table to set firm hands on your shoulders as he hovered behind you. âSit. Iâll buy you a coffee and I promise I wonât be late on Wednesday, okay? I was dealing with something before this and lost track of time.âÂ
âWere you dealing with another sorority girl in your bed? Who was it last week? Amber? No, Michelle?âÂ
âItâs a Monday, y/n. Cut me some slack.âÂ
âYou came to me on a Wednesday with a hangover,â you deadpanned.
Bucky grimaced, the expression visible to you as he managed to guide you back into your chair. âOat milk, right? A double?âÂ
You grumbled, crossing your arms over your chest as he tossed his bag by your feet and jogged over to the coffee cart just outside the library. He fumbled with his wallet when he went to pay, and you watched him point to the carton of oat milk the barista had yet to reach for. His greek letters were printed on the gray hoodie he had haphazardly thrown over his shoulders, and you held the reprimand on your tongue when you saw the matching sweatpants he donned.Â
The last time he had shown up in his pajamasâlateâyouâd had some choice words for him. Bucky turned around with your coffee then, poking the straw through the lid and sending you a sheepish smile through the window.Â
He was lucky you accepted bribes.Â
~~
âPlease,â the boy across from you continued to beg, a pen held loosely between pliant fingers. âJust ask her, thatâs all I want. You can even come too.âÂ
âOh, wow, the great frat president letting me come to his stupid toga party? How could I ever thank you enough?âÂ
It was Wednesday now, and Bucky was surprisingly on time to the tutoring session. Youâd gotten through about half of the last bio lecture before he started asking you ridiculous questions that had nothing to do with the content. Today, he was dead set on getting your lab partner from chemistry to go to his party this weekend.Â
âOkay, yeah, you could come to whatever party you want, you know? I put you on the listâbut this one will be even better if youâd just do this one thing for me.âÂ
You finally tore your eyes from your laptop, glancing lazily at him. âAnd what would make this one soâwait, what list?âÂ
He waved you off. âThe one at the door. Did it like⊠the second week we started this? Anyways, Wanda?âÂ
You let this new information settle and tried to ignore whatever implications came with being on some frat list thanks to Bucky. He had never explicitly invited you to any of his parties over the past few months and you had never asked to come. Apparently, you could have shown up whenever you wanted to and had a grand old time.Â
Not that that sounded the least bit grand.Â
Bucky was looking at you still, all pleading features and a soft, infuriating smile on his lips. When he wasnât talking to random girls in the library or taking annoying phone calls in the middle of your sessions, he was sort of endearing. In a terrible, awful sense.Â
You groaned, throwing yourself back against your chair in begrudging defeat. âI donât even talk to her outside of chem. Donât you think itâd be a little weird to invite her to a party that Iâm not even going to?âÂ
âSo come,â he answered simply, as if that was in the realm of possibilities.Â
âYeah,â you scoffed. âSure, Iâll come to your party, Barnes.âÂ
âGreat,â he grinned. âVisionâs gonna be so hyped.âÂ
You watched as he pulled his phone from his pocket and kept your lie to yourself. He wouldnât notice that you didnât show up on Friday, and likely wouldnât even bring it up the following Monday. He always had such vibrant, headache-inducing stories that you were sure your absence would be nothing more than a fleeting footnote.Â
âYou have a toga, right?â he mumbled, face still screwed up in concentration as he continued his text.Â
âIsnât it just a sheet all twisted up?â you asked, shutting your computer. Tutoring was obviously over.Â
Bucky pocketed his phone again, brows raised in amusement. âDepends on your motives for the night.âÂ
âAnd my motives wouldnât be to⊠wear a toga?âÂ
He chuckled and huffed out your name, resting an arm along the back of the chair to his rightâyour chair. âOther motives. Like if youâre trying to get someoneâs attention.âÂ
You blinked at the warmth along your back. âOh, of course. Then I would twist up a pillowcase instead, right?â
âSomething like that.âÂ
He smelled like coconut. Like a day at the beach but afterwards, when the sunscreen still lingered in the air but fresh clothes covered skin that had been warmed by the sun. You could usually ignore whatever expensive combination he had on his skin, but when he got close like this it was almost impossible.Â
Part of you always wanted to chuck his arm away when he leaned over you, but another part of you liked that he kept it there. It was a strange part of you, the same one that relished the looks you got from sorority girls in the library and harbored a sense of pride each time he made a blatant attempt to touch you.Â
You had spent fleeting moments analyzing these emotions and chalked them up to some internalized desire for validation. Nothing else. Bucky was a hot guy and everyone knew that, so having his attentionâin any capacityâfelt nice. Sometimes. Meaning right now it was nice that he was looking at you with his arm practically glued to your back, but next week when he showed up late with a hangover and tried to steal the jacket off your body it would be not so nice.Â
The duality of man.Â
It helped your partial insanity that Bucky would never actually be interested in you. You werenât in a sorority or interested to his parentâs money, and, worst of all, you didnât know how to maneuver a sheet into a toga. When he put his arm around you or moved your hair from your eyes as you leaned over a book, it was probably out of habit. It felt nice, but you knew reality. This was a passing phase, and by the summer you wouldnât even speak to him anymore.
âIâll text you more info about everything,â Bucky called, pulling you from your thoughts. âYou can come early and Iâll help you with that pillowcase.âÂ
You froze, the book you were shoving into your bag pausing in your hands. âUh, maybe.âÂ
âNo, seriously, itâd be better if you came early. I was kidding about the pillowcase but if you come on time itâll be too crazy for me to show you around.âÂ
âYou donât have to show me around, Bucky. Iâve been to a house party before.âÂ
âY/n, are you not coming to this thing?â Bucky accused, swiping the book from your hands and softly tossing it on the table. It still made a loud thud that had a few bitter looks thrown your way.Â
âDude!â you whispered, meeting each mean gaze with your apologetic one. âWhy does it matter if I come? You just wanted Wanda anyway.âÂ
He knocked your hand away when you went to reach for the book again, encircling your wrist with his fingers. âYou just lied to me. Straight to my face. You said youâd come and now you gotta.âÂ
You gave his fingers an experimental tug, but he was unrelenting in his soft grip. You glared at him through your lashes, meeting his uncharacteristically stern gaze that contrasted the humor on his lips.Â
âYou ever hear of sarcasm?â you whispered with a half-hearted bite.Â
âUnfortunately, thatâs about all I hear outta you,â he smirked back.Â
You rolled your eyes, finally yanking hard enough to free yourself from him. âThen you should have known I wasnât going to come. No matter what âlistâ you put me on.âÂ
âWhat else could you possibly have going on on a Friday night?âÂ
Ouch. You felt your brows furrow even though you didnât will them to, and even worse, you felt a rash defensiveness lodge itself in your throat. You hated the heat that now prickled along the skin of your neck, and you hated even more how it extinguished all of the good warmth you had felt from him earlier.Â
This was humiliation, surelyâthe kind that only came from feeling small.Â
âYou donât have to be a dick,â you seethed, snapping up the remainder of your belongings. âJust because I donât want to go to your stupid frat doesn't mean I have nothing to do. I donât spend all of my time hoping to get invited to ridiculous parties.âÂ
Bucky shifted up in his seat, eyes blown just a fraction wider. âWhoa, I didnât meanâhey, stop a sec, I didnât mean it like that.âÂ
âWhatever, Bucky,â you droned, as a new temperature seeped into the skin of your palms and made them clammy. Any semblance of delusion youâd fallen into earlier was long gone now, but you knew to expect that. He wasnât interested in you and you werenât interested in him. But embarrassment wasnât a good feeling, regardless of a multitude of reality checks.Â
Bucky got up when you did, his clothes looking creased and lived in. âWe still have time in our session,â he defended, arm jutting out to the table. âCâmon, I didnât mean you donât have friends.âÂ
Your glare sharpened. âGreat, another insinuation.âÂ
Bucky sputtered out incoherent words as you continued your trek outside, resorting to grabbing your wrist again, this time with more urgency. You felt the heat in you simmer down to a dull throb as he made contact, mostly out of respect for your future self. If you made this a huge deal it would only embarrass you more.Â
âLook, it doesnât even matter, okay?â you huffed, but he just tugged you forward. It was then that you realized you were in the doorway of the library, effectively blocking it off from anyone trying to leave. Bucky pulled you close enough to his chest that you werenât in the way anymore. His cologne was back with a vengeance, your nose just inches from his collar. Â
You took a steadying breath, blinking away the remnants of shame. âIt doesnât matter, I overreacted.âÂ
He clicked his tongue. âIâm still apologizing. I didnât mean any of that stuff you were talking about.âÂ
Of course he did. You were sure he thought it all the time. He just didnât mean to say it out loud.Â
âItâs fine,â you rushed. âI have to go, anyway. Office hours.âÂ
âOkay,â he nodded, soft and low, like he just remembered he was in a library. âYouâll still come this weekend, right? Even if Wanda canât?âÂ
âYou have some kind of girl quota you need to meet?â you pressed.
Bucky smiled, still so close to you that you could feel the small breath that accompanied the expression. âAnd sheâs back.âÂ
You left without promising anything, and Bucky left feeling like you had.Â
~~
Sometime between Wednesday and Friday, your detestment for frat parties had snowballed into determination. You were going to go and you were going to look like you were having so much fun it was ridiculous. Then, on Monday, when Bucky would usually poke and prod about what youâd gotten up to over the past few days, you were going to pretend that it was nothing for you. That you did that every weekend.Â
Of course, you didnât. Your weekends typically consisted of calm nights with friends or dinners near campus. Youâd been to a party before, sure, but you didnât exactly frequent those kinds of scenes.Â
Bucky had continued to make it clear that you were invited. He had texted you a few times, prompting you to come and thanking you for getting Wanda to agree. The messages looked strange under the plethora of biology related questions, but that just spurred you further into action. You werenât just a tutor with no social life, and Bucky was going to see that tonight. You couldnât remember doing something out of pure spite before, but you figured having fun to prove a point wasnât the worst thing.Â
Wanda pulled you out of your thoughts as the Uber rounded the last dark corner and revealed an overcrowded house with too many lights on. She rambled on about some guy she couldnât wait to see and confirmed that she would likely be spending the night. You expected as much; it hadnât taken much convincing to get her to come. If this night resulted in anything good it was apparently the blossoming relationship between your new friend and a man youâd never met.Â
Wanda continued to chat as she yanked you out of the car and past the yard littered with sparse grass. The music was loud alreadyâthe type of loud that you needed to be at least a little drunk to enjoy. And that was the plan.Â
âOkay, if I start dancing on a table you pull me down. And if you start dancing on a table I support you, right?â Wanda giggled, her voice now raised as you walked past the threshold of the house.Â
âExactly,â you yelled back. A guy nodded to you as he leaned against the front door, his eyes glancing up from his phone and then returning. It seemed Buckyâs âlistâ was a page on some guyâs notes app. How luxurious. âLetâs drink.âÂ
The next hour was a blur. You tried your hardest to get as drunk as possible and Wanda tried her hardest to find the British man she was enamored with. You hadnât seen Bucky, but you figured he wasnât looking for you too hard since you hadnât responded to any of his texts. Not out of anger, but because you didnât know what to say. Somehow, with alcohol warming your blood and music vibrating your skin, none of that mattered anymore.Â
You: Your house is soooo dirty
Your phone jostled in your grip, people bumping into you from every side. When he didnât answer in the thirty seconds you spent staring at the screen, you locked it and continued on with your mission.Â
After a few too many shots of hard liquor, you switched to beer. Gross, but decidedly less likely to make you pass out on the staircase of this house. Because you werenât lying in your textâit was slightly disgusting. You figured you should clarify that with Bucky. You reached for your phone once again, knocking your head against the wall in the process and giggling to yourself. You had no idea where Wanda went.Â
The device was snatched from your hands just as quickly as the screen had lit up your face.Â
âYou ever answer this thing?â an accusing voice called out. âOr do you just insult people and put it on do not disturb?âÂ
The look on Buckyâs face would have made you roll your eyes in any other circumstance. Right now, however, it had a startled laugh bursting past your lips. You clutched at your stomach as the laugh grew and you found yourself tipping forward until your forehead met his chest. You felt delirious, almost silly. A hand came around to rest on the back of your neck.
âAlright, alright.â Buckyâs words rumbled against your face. âI get it, this is hilarious.âÂ
âYour⊠your face,â you breathed out, catching your breath enough to part from him. âIt was allââ you mimicked the straight line of his eyebrows, voice raising in a mocking tone. ââYou donât ever answer your phone. Youâre so boring, y/n, answer your phone.âÂ
âI didnât call you boring. Heyâhey,â Bucky stressed, reaching for you as you leaned too far to the side, a smile still lingering on your face. âJesus, y/n, how much did you have to drink?âÂ
You went to mock him again, but his fingers on your jaw stopped you. He tilted your head up and to the left, and although he was much more composed than you were, you could still smell the alcohol on his breath. You scrunched up your nose as he continued his inspection.Â
âWhyâre you being so uptight?â you slurred, trying and failing to push away from him. âI thought you were all like, âIâm Bucky and I party and get drunk and have sex with girls.ââ
Bucky pulled you forward as you laughed at your impression of him, his shaking head making you blink away a bout of dizziness. You toppled over a set of stairs as he threaded his fingers through yours, and then you stumbled through a doorway and onto carpeted floors. Being pressed into an uncomfortable chair was the most jarring action, the world still spinning as you sat.Â
âYouâre even more mean when you're drunk,â you heard Bucky mumble. You couldnât quite catch him as he moved around whatever room you were in. âAnd I donât talk like that.âÂ
You let out a careless sigh and leaned back. âYou soooo talk like that.âÂ
Something cold pressed to your hand, followed by another touch to the back of your neck. You gazed down at the water bottle being guided up to your lips and couldnât find it in you to fight against it, despite the small spark of defiance on the tip of your tongue. After about four large swallows, Bucky was satisfied.Â
He asked again how much youâd had to drink.Â
You answered that you didnât knowâthat it didnât matter because he wasnât your dad and you were having fun like you always did. He bit the inside of his cheek and didnât say anything for the next few moments.Â
And then, âThought you werenât gonna come tonight.âÂ
You hummed, rolling your head against the chair to look up at his standing form. âOf course I was going to come. I love parties. Love drinking alcohol.âÂ
His expression twisted into something you couldnât recognize. âGod, youâre so drunk.âÂ
âMânot even that drunk!âÂ
âYouâre willingly in my room right now. Youâre plastered.âÂ
âMaybe I want to be in your room.âÂ
âWe both know thatâs not true.âÂ
You chuckled breathily, closing your eyes so you wouldnât have to see the pretty flush of Buckyâs face. âYou think you know everything, donât you? Donât know much about me though. Or biology.âÂ
Bucky kneeled down to the height of the chair. âAnd what do I not know about you?âÂ
âSo much.âÂ
âHow much?âÂ
You bit into your lip and cracked an eye open, catching the amusement that had slipped past the strange mask of his emotions. With blissful ignorance, you heaved yourself forward on the chair, your nose a few inches from Buckyâs. His eyes didnât waver from yours as you swayed.Â
âYou donât know that Iâm the most interesting person on Earth,â you boasted, fingers gripping the upholstery of your seat.Â
âThat right?â Bucky probed, his voice a melodic hum.Â
âYup, Iâm always really busy and even though you think Iâm some boring biology tutor Iâm actually super cool and, like, go to raves and stuff.âÂ
His brow twitched but his mouth stayed soft. âIâve never said you were boring. And I donât think youâve ever been to a rave.âÂ
You groaned loudly and flopped against the backrest of the chair. âSee! Iâm telling you I do all this cool stuff and Iâm so drunk my fingers are buzzing and you still donât believe me.âÂ
You crossed your arms with a huff, a small pout forming on your lips. In any other context, this behavior would probably embarrass you to no end. In the dim light of Buckyâs room where you felt the feeling leave your fingers and the care leave your mind, you were just disgruntled, not embarrassed. If you remembered this tomorrow the latter would surely catch up to you.
Bucky stared at you from his spot on the ground, his gaze a bit foggy and unfocused. He was clearly intoxicated, as you deduced earlier, and it made him look more wild. Mused hair and pink cheeks, he looked like heâd been having plenty of fun before he found you. It was distracting. He was distracting you from proving that you were having a blast.
âWhat?â you snapped, the tone a testament to the drunken fit you were throwing.Â
âYouâre so fucking pretty.âÂ
He must be really, really drunk. Despite your clouded mind, you knew that, but the words affected you just the same. Your lips parted as a new lightness both lit up and compressed your chest, and Bucky watched the movement.Â
âYeah,â you scoffed, but it was hardly a scoff. âSure, Bucky. How much did you have to drinkââÂ
âIâm not lying. Iâve thought about you in my room for weeks and now youâre here and youâre so pretty. Even when youâre yelling at me.âÂ
âYouâve⊠thought about me in your room?âÂ
Bucky shuffled forward and you subconsciously parted your legs to allow the space for him. âI think about you everywhere.âÂ
This was crazy. It was certifiably insane. A voice in the back of your headâNatashaâs voice, it sounded likeâwas screaming at you to stop and think about the situation at hand. He was drunk, you were even more drunk, and he was far too close to you. He had ushered you in here with good intentions and had sobered you up a fraction, but things had taken a turn and this was a sensitive situation. The kind of sensitive that altered your reality and his and probably a bunch of other peopleâs youâd never met.Â
Or it could be nothing and you were over exaggerating.Â
But then Buckyâs hand was warming your thigh. Youâd felt the press of it on your back and your shoulder and your head before, but it had never been on your thigh. It felt heavy there, hot. His other hand moved to touch your face and he propped himself up on one knee. His thumb brushed your cheek. Words tumbled from your mouth before you registered that you were speaking.Â
âAre you going to kiss me?âÂ
Why would you ask that? Who asks Bucky Barnes if heâs going to kiss them?Â
âWould you let me?â he responds.Â
âYes.âÂ
He didnât waste any time, his mouth hot against yours. He tasted like mint and vodka and his lips moved so slowly it ached. You had expected a fervor behind his lips, but instead you got a build up, an orchestra reaching its crescendo. He was kissing you like you were important, like this wasnât some random hookup in his bedroom at 1 oâclock in the morning, and you had to catch your breath when he parted from you.Â
But he moved back in so quickly after your brief respite, and you were eager to give him more. This was crazy, insane. This was the best kiss youâd ever have and also the worst. This was months of staring at his stupid lips when he tried explaining concepts back to you, but this was also weeks of feeling small in his presence. Bucky slid his hand back to press against your hair and you didnât feel small anymore.Â
A loud thud from the hallway interrupted the silence youâd created, and Bucky pulled back, keeping his hands on you as he craned his neck around to stare at the door. He waited a beat, and then two, and then he turned back to you. The moment was gone, but he was still touching you. You werenât sure what you wantedâif you wanted him to kiss you again or run out the doorâbut when he slid his hands from your body and rubbed them down his jeans, it became clear that was not what you wanted.Â
A knot formed in your stomach when he met your gaze again, and you tried blinking the feeling away. It didnât work.Â
âUm,â Bucky began, his voice sounding more clear, his tone not holding the weight it had.
Your plan had backfired. Severely. This was a mess and you needed to save yourself before you ended this night even more humiliated.
You were still drunk. Pretend you were still plastered.Â
You giggled airily, the sound burning your throat. âThat was loud.âÂ
Bucky blinked at you in what you assumed was disbelief. âProbably just someone trying to find the bathroom,â he clarified.
You shrugged, nudging him back with your knee as you stood from the chair. âIâm bored now.â You took fast steps to the door, your words foreign to you. âThanks for the water,â you all but gritted out.Â
You expected him to get up. Not to run after you or proclaim his love or even say anything. But you expected him to get up.Â
He didnât, and you couldnât understand how the knot in your stomach had moved to your throat. Or how it made tears spring to your eyes when your feet hit the sidewalk outside. Your Uber came and you couldnât understand how you felt hot and cold at the same time. How it was freezing outside but you were sweating.Â
You couldnât understand why you were crying over a boy that so often infuriated you, or why he kissed you in his bedroom. The reasonable side of you sent gentle reminders that he was in a frat and kissing people is just what he did. All the time. But the unreasonable side of you won out tonight, and it was telling you that this felt different.
That you should be different, somehow.
~~
Bucky: Youâre here???
Bucky: Where are you?
Bucky: Y/n answer your damn phone
Bucky: This place is fucking packed tonight I thought you werenât comingÂ
You stared at the text messages you hadnât read last night, the bright light of your phone burning into your retinas. You had a brutal hangover, and the memory of the disaster in Buckyâs room felt like an even bigger one.Â
Youâd gone through a myriad of emotions the night before, tossing around excuses and speeches in your head until you were so exhausted you let the alcohol in your system lull you to sleep. With all of that delirious thinking, youâd landed on blacking out. You were going to tell Bucky you blacked out last night and couldnât remember a thing. He obviously wouldnât care and would probably appreciate it.Â
Saturday was slow-moving. Reruns of television shows and bags of popcorn and overthinking. Natasha was at her parentâs house in the city, so you had no one to bounce your racing thoughts off of. You certainly werenât going to text her about it.Â
When the evening finally rolled around and your attempts at distracting yourself with mind-numbing movies failed, you checked your email. You always tried not to on the weekends, but doing anything else sounded much less appealing.Â
Unfortunately, you didnât get past the first one.Â
From: University Peer Assistance ProgramÂ
Dear Y/n Y/l/n,Â
This is an automated message from the campus peer assistance program. We thank you for your continued devotion to the betterment of students at this school. At this time, your tutoring placement with James Barnes has ended. We will search for a new placement to fill your current hours.Â
Thank you,Â
University Peer AssistanceÂ
You blinked at the email, then blinked again. The breath left your chest and the muscles on your face twitched, but you were otherwise frozen.
This was what you wanted, wasnât it? To be free from the haughty frat boy that didnât even listen to you when you tried to help him raise his grades. You wanted someone nice, someone that had the same goals as you and appreciated the color-coded notes you took for them. Bucky only tried to get a rise out of you. He sat too close and made fun of you and put you on lists you didnât ask to be on.Â
But he had kissed you. He had kissed you and then tutor-dumped you.Â
You knew you werenât his type, but were you really that bad? Was the kiss so terrible?Â
Every inferiority complex you had developed exploded. You over-analyzed things that had already happened, things you had said. Not just at the party, but in the library, the coffee shops, the lecture halls.Â
Was he really willing to risk his position in the frat just to avoid you?Â
The strangle tickle of tears itched to be released from your eyes again, but you pressed it down. No, this wasnât on you. He had kissed you. He had dragged you into his room and stumbled on pretty words. If he didnât want you to tutor him anymore because of his stupid mistake, fine.Â
His mistake.Â
That word felt wrong.Â
You tossed your phone on the couch with vigor. The clock above the television read out 10 pm, but that meant little to you as you slid on your shoes at the front door. You were wearing sweatpants and a jacket that was far too big on you, sadness and frustration and raw confusion propelling you down your apartment stairs.Â
Ice cream would fix this.Â
The only place open at this time was the gas station at the edge of campus. It wasnât university affiliated and was usually overrun with belligerent greek life trying to buy alcohol, but the decision-making part of your brain was currently shut off.Â
Ice cream, anger, probably watching tiktoks until your eyes were too heavy to keep openâthose were the only things rattling in your head.Â
You yanked open the gas station door after your short walk, the glass smudged and fogged from the cold night. The fluorescent lights aggravated the headache youâd been sporting all day and the floor made sticking noises with each step you took. To add insult to injury, there were only three cartons of ice cream left, and they werenât even the good flavors. Grabbing the least offensive one, you made your way to the small line of people by the register.Â
âNice outfit.âÂ
Too enthralled by the disappointing ingredient list on the side of your ice cream, you had missed the tall man now looming at your shoulder. You whipped your head around with a start, taking a step back, smelling menthol and asphalt and nothing good.Â
âThanks,â you quietly replied.Â
He waited until you turned back around to continue. âYou go to school over here?âÂ
You kept your gaze forward. âUm, yeah.âÂ
âNice. I graduated a few years back. Marketing.âÂ
âCool,â you replied. What had compelled you to leave your phone on the couch? This night sucked.Â
You found reprieve in the line moving, the employee calling you over to check out. As soon as you paidâa few dollar bills funneled out of your pocket with shaky handsâyou booked it. Your ice cream burned in your palm but you didnât care, feet carrying you out the door and into the dimly lit parking lot. You fisted your keys in your fingers; pointless, you knew, but a small comfort.Â
The manâs voice returned with the chime of the bell over the gas station door. âWait! Wait, Iâm Beck. I own a business nearby.âÂ
You should have kept walking, but one of your fatal flaws was, apparently, people pleasing. You turned to him. He smiled at you but it made your stomach twist.Â
âOh, nice,â you responded, rocking back on your heels.Â
âWe should connect. Maybe go for coffee or something?â He took a step forward. You fought the urge to take one back. His beard was unkempt and he held a six pack in his white-knuckled grip.Â
âUm, I donât know. Iâm pretty busy with finals coming up. Plus, Iâm not really in the business field.âÂ
âNot for business then,â he smiled again, teeth dull in the streetlight.Â
Just agree. If you agreed you could block him soon after and everything would be fine.Â
You took too long to answer. He took the final step forward to arrive in your space and wrapped his fingers around your bicep. âCâmon, Iâm not asking you to marry me or anything.âÂ
Frozen by fear, you let out a weak laugh. The pint in your hand was sticking to your skin now in a way that would be painful when you tried to let go of it later. Your breath rattled in your chest when you laughed again.Â
âSure, okay.â But he didnât let go of your arm, instead sliding it down to the bone of your wrist.Â
âWhat about now?â he posed. âYou donât look too busy. I can make you something at my place.âÂ
He was at least ten years older than you. You attempted to pull yourself from his grasp to no avail. Maybe reasoning would work.Â
âMy roommate's waiting for me,â you lied. âCould you let go? I sprained my wrist at the gym last week,â you lied again.Â
He refused with a shake of his head. You took a panicked glance inside the gas station to your right. No one was looking.Â
âPlease let go of me.âÂ
The call of your name from the other side of the parking lot initially sent more unbearable fear down your spine. But then the owner of that voice registered in your brain, and although it had been the cause of your recent internal strife, you couldn't be more grateful to hear it.Â
He said your name again, closer now and questioning. Bucky jogged up to the pair of you, saw your wrist and the man holding it hostage, and looked back up at you with confused, wild eyes.Â
âYou know this guy?â he asked, jutting his thumb out at Beck.
âNo,â you whispered. The word was short but the syllable still trembled.Â
Bucky didnât look confused anymore. He looked pissed. âWanna take your fucking hands off her?â
Beck was tall, but Bucky was taller. And angry. Beck released your wrist and raised his hands in a placating gesture. âWhoa, man, no need for the theatrics. Iâm guessing youâre here to stock up for a party? I used to be in Sigma Nu.âÂ
When Buckyâs silent glare failed to dampen, Beck continued with, âWe were just planning a night at my place, right?âÂ
His nod in your direction made your breath catch. Bucky took his piercing gaze off of Beck and softened it as it fell on you. You wanted to respond, but words were gone. They were impossible. Your ice cream was melting.Â
âYeah, I think weâre done here,â Bucky scoffed, placing his arm around your shoulder. He guided you past the wall of a man, making sure to drive his shoulder into his chest as he went. Beck went to say more, to protest or whine, but Bucky shot him such a scathing look it almost made you wither.Â
The smell of coconut and spices and a hint of whisky met your nose, and it was familiar. It was safe. You fumbled with the keys in your hands as your feet guided you wherever Bucky was going, and then you fumbled even more, soft jingling disrupting the softness of footfall. God, why wouldnât you stop shaking?Â
A hand fell atop yours, crunching the keys to a halt. You stared down at them, unsteady breath hitting the tanned fingers that served as your current anchor.Â
âLook at me, y/n.âÂ
You couldnât. You couldnât do anything.Â
âSweetheart, eyes up. All you gotta do.â Buckyâs voice was as soft as it was last night. That was the only reason you were able to follow his request. âThere she is,â he hummed.Â
He removed his arm from your shoulders and shifted in front of you, placing his hand on your cheek. You ignored that it felt the same as it had last night. You ignored that you wanted it to feel the same for him, too.Â
âYou okay?â he asked, tilting his neck down to better see your face. His thumb brushed under your eye. âHe hurt you?âÂ
You shook your head, whispering no, whispering that you were fine.Â
Bucky nodded to himself, eyes tracking down to your toes and then back up again. He must have mistaken your shaking for coldness because the next thing he did was guide you into the car behind him. You didnât know it was his.
He blasted the heat the second he got in. He had shuffled you into your seat with his hands before that, smoothed your hair down and closed the door after you were settled and not shaking as hard. The heat dried out your eyes. It distracted you enough to let words form.Â
âThank you,â you said. âHe wouldnât leave me alone. I didnât bring my phone with me. I shouldâve.âÂ
âOf course.âÂ
There was a beat of silence. The relief you had felt earlier had been muddled down to an awkward pit in your stomach, and you werenât sure if Bucky felt it too or if he was still riding a testosterone-fueled adrenaline high.Â
You wanted to go home now; this was uncomfortable and you had felt Buckyâs lips on yours less than twenty-four hours ago with no closure. He obviously didnât want to be around you. This was probably a responsibility thing for him.Â
âI can⊠I can walk home now. The guy left. Iâm just a quarter mile away and you probably have to stock up or whatever.âÂ
He looked at you with a pinched expression. âIâm not letting you walk home after that. You kiddinâ me?âÂ
âIâll be fine, really. I walk over here all the time.âÂ
âYou get harassed all the time too?âÂ
âNoâŠâÂ
âExactly. So youâre not walking home.âÂ
âBuckyââÂ
âLook Iâm not gonna kiss you again, alright? So you donât have to turn down a ride because of that.âÂ
Your ice cream was soup at this point. You let it roll into your lap as you clamped your mouth shut just to open it again. Bucky ran a rough hand through his hair before dropping it on the steering wheel, clutching at it with no place to go.Â
âIâm not following,â you finally relented.Â
A loud sigh released from his nose. âYou donât have to worry about me kissing you again. I just want to make sure you get home safe and then Iâll leave you alone.âÂ
âWorry aboutâyouâre the one trying to avoid me,â you snapped, frozen fingers pointing to your chest. âYou tutor-dumped me.â
âTutor-dumped? How do youâŠâ he trailed off.Â
âI get an email when you make a change request, Bucky.âÂ
He stared at you for a moment, lips parted and unmoving. He clenched his jaw a moment later, a red tint adorning his cheeks.Â
âWell, youâyouâlook, I know you donât like me, y/n. Youâve made that clear,â he stuttered, words getting louder as he moved his hands around with each one. âBut I like you. I like when you get mad at me and when you yell at me for not listening and when you get all embarrassed when I play with your hair. And Iâve been trying to get you to come to one of my parties since we started this whole thing, but every time I talk about them you seem to like me even less.Â
âIf I had known insulting you would get your attention, I woulda done that week one,â he exasperated. You sat up in your seat but he continued. âI didnât mean any of that shit you thought I did. Youâre not boring. And I didnât mean to kiss you, but you lookedâwell, I already told you.âÂ
âSo you donât want me to be your tutor anymore because you like me?â You spoke slowly, each word careful.Â
âNo,â he sighed, frustrated. âI canât be around you because I kissed you and you didnât care. Because Iâll want to kiss you all the time and you didnât even wanna kiss me once. I know we were drunk, I get that, but Iâve wanted that for a long time and I need to move on. Itâs nothing against your⊠tutoring skills. If thatâs what youâre worried aboutâÂ
âBut you talk about hooking up with other girls all the time, Bucky. To me.âÂ
âYou ever hear of lying?â
âWhy would youââÂ
âYou really gonna make me live out all of my failures with you?âÂ
Youâd read so many things wrong. Taken so many things the wrong way. You figured the email earlier was the final nail in the coffin, but this was something else entirely. This was Bucky, sitting next to you in his car looking distressed and frazzled with his hair six different directions, telling you that heâs been trying to get your attention since he met you. That you werenât small or insignificant or boring.Â
It was probably a terrible idea to follow through with your next thought. Youâd probably get hurt in the long run. But you did it anyway.Â
âI wanted you to kiss me.â Buckyâs head whipped towards you. You bit the inside of your cheek and said, âI want you to kiss me all the time.âÂ
He whispered your name. It sounded like the air had left every corner of his body. But he didnât move, and you needed to rectify that.Â
âYouâre infuriating,â you began. Bucky cringed, but you needed to explain as he had. âYouâre like the antithesis of everything I want out of college. You donât care about classes. Youâre always late. You talk too loud in the library.âÂ
You took a deep breath, fiddling with the loose thread of your pants. You couldnât make eye contact with anything but the ground.Â
âBut then you know my coffee order when Iâve never told it to you. You save me from losers in parking lots and make sure Iâm not drunk out of my mind at your obscene party. You make me feel⊠you make me feel stupid sometimes. And I thought it was because youâre everything Iâm not, but I really think itâs because youâre everything I told myself I should stay away from. But I donât want to.
âI wanted you to kiss me at that party and I want you to kiss me now.âÂ
âThen get over here. Iâm not kissing you over some bullshit center console.âÂ
You twisted to follow his directions, gasping as his hands clasped around your waist to tug you into his lap. It wasnât seamlessâthere was laughing and your head briefly connected with the roof of the carâbut Buckyâs touch was everywhere, soothing the uncertainty and fear and slight headache.Â
His forehead connected with yours when you felt secure in his arms. His fingers slid down from your waist over the material of your sweatpants and when he spoke next you felt the words on your own lips.
âYouâre wearing sweatpants. You get so mad when I wear sweatpants.âÂ
You laughed. âI get mad because it usually means you just rolled out of bed, and youâre usually. late.âÂ
âI got a secret,â he whispered, nudging his nose against yours. âIâm never late. And I only wear those sweatpants around you. You get cute when youâre pissed at me.âÂ
ïżœïżœïżœWell, Iâm about to be really cuteââ
He kissed you. Youâd have plenty of time to argue later.

this may be insane but Bonten takes their omega out for vacation accompanied by they're pups, each member having their own pup so that'd be like 8 pups in totalđ
Title: vacation nightmares
Fandom: Tokyo revengers
Pairing: Bonten x reader
Warnings: reader insert, male reader, omegaverse, Omega ready, mpreg, angst, Bonten sucks, shitty husnands
đŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïžđŻïž
(name) LOVED his pups, he really did... But he was hoping for a vacation without his little army.
(Name) With the help of two nanny's and his husband's when they got home, took care of right pups, all ranging from five to infancy and it was taking a toll on him. His husband's worked long and hard to care for them and he loved that they worked hard to provide and when he was told they would be going on vacation, he was excited to have a break.
When they spoke of having children, they promised to be there for him and even help alternate since there were going to be right children but here (name) was, making sure his pups went to bed instead of going to do fun resort things with his mates because he had a ten month old and toddlers, wanting to cry a bit from the stress.
Thankfully the pups had their own connected room so (name) could collapse on the bed, feeling like he was drowning and he felt ugly and god! When was the last time his mates touched him!
When they came home in the dead of night or on the rare occasions at a reasonable hour, they were either exhausted or dad mode or both! The occasional kiss on the cheek but (name) hadn't felt loved in forever!
The Bonten men noticed (name) was distant during the vacation, during family adventures and such he seemed like he was drifting further away as the kids pulled for his attention.
When they got home, (name) was robotic as he walked to the bedroom and locked it before plopping on the bed and falling asleep, the smell of distress pungent in that part of the house as he slept for 13 hours.
"So let me get this straightened out, you guys told your over worked Omega that you were taking him on vacation to a resort that's famous for its couples activities and you brought the children be is watching 24 seven instead of having your nannies watch them and letting your omega unwind yet you are asking me why (name)s mad" Emma said over the phone as Mikey called her, (name) refusing to open the door "we thought it would be fun for the family!" Sanzu grumbled and Emma sighed over the phone at their lack of understanding.
"(Name) Rarely has a moment alone, he can't even pee by himself and you guys are rarely home! Do you know what toll that takes on a person! Theirs eight of you and yet you guys never considered taking the reigns and just letting (name) go do things by himself! Or just did things as adults!" Emma scolded them and the men eventually ended the call, thinking about it... When was the last time they gave (name) some proper loving?
Like outside of a heat?
... Holy shit it had been almost two years.
They hadn't had sex with him since their youngest was conceived.
(Name) Knew he had to go out there eventually but curled into the blankets and the exhausted expression and tear stained face spoke another story, he knew his pups were in capable hands with the nannies and questionable hands unfortunately with their father's whom he did not want to see at the moment.
He was just so done.
Just once...
He wanted a break.
Instead he felt like a single parent despite being mates to not one but eight alphas!
He felt like some 50's Omega and he hated it.
It wasn't until the following day that (name) stepped out of the room, the lack of child sounds or cartoons worried him as he went to look for his pups only to see his mates looking stressed and worried "where are the children?" (Name) Asked softly as their heads snapped up "baby! Your up! The kids are with the nannies, they're going to be with Emma and Draken for the day" ran said softly as he went up to the Omega who nodded as he looks at the for once spotless house "can we talk?" Koko asked softly and (name) sighed before nodding, better face this.
"We fucked up" kakucho said simply and (name) just stared "I just... Why do you guys only care for the kids when it's the fun stuff? Why do you guys not clean their puke-- I'm constantly CONSTANTLY with the children all the time and you guys promised! You promised to help! You guys said you would take turns being here to help and you lied! You're never home and I hate it! I feel like a single parent get im mated!" He said crying uncontrollably, curling into himself "you guys don't even look at me anymore! I know pregnancy fucked up my body but can you be a little less obvious!"
Fuck.
They really fucked up, like holy shit.
"You think we don't find you attractive?" Mochi whispered as the alphas crowded the Omega "baby, we fucking suck... Fuck we didn't even realize we were doing this" RindĆ said genuinely as Mikey went to hold him "please don't, I'm sorry but I am constantly being touched or holding a tiny person and I am deeply overwhelmed especially because I just spent a week watching our children while you guys had fun-- by the way never do that to me again" (name) seethed out "you took me on a vacation and had me be the sole watcher while you guys got tanked" it would take a long time for (name) to get over this one.
"You haven't taken me on a date in over a year and yet you fucks went partying on a family vacation yet I babysat our children! Seriously what the fuck is wrong you guys!"
"Yeah, that wasn't our shining moment" takeomi said honestly and (name) scoffed "we will be better, we are so fucking sorry" Koko said genuinely and (name) just stared "I'll believe it when I see it"
Who would have thought a family vacation would have eight men sleeping in the guest rooms.

Hello!
I was thinking about this a little too much today. I often read fics / drabbles about Pedro being all sweet and flirty or him being very confident and flirty ⊠I just want to read a fic about him being the worst flirt ever đ
I know heâs a flirt in his interviews , but what if heâs really bad at it when itâs time to really seduce someone. Like he messes up what he wants to say , he makes stupid jokes that donât land.
Do you think you could write that?
summary:Â Pedro is a bad flirt
A/n:Â I'm genuinely sorry this took so long, but I had to study like a bastard just for my professor to be an asshole
"please introduce me to her"
"why don't you go there and do it yourself?"
"because I can't"
"why?"
"please"
"fine"
__ __ __
It was a relatively small party, just a few friends and some friendâs friends, nothing huge.
Vanessa, your best friend, had insisted on throwing it, encouraging you to âlive a little now that that asshole isnât in the picture anymoreâ.
âThat assholeâ, was indeed your, as of two weeks, ex-boyfriend.
Neither of them had ever been fans of each other, and thinking back at it now, that should have probably been if not red, at least some kind of colored flag.
Anyway, as always, when it was V talking you into something, you had accepted, with a few conditions of course.
Hence, the small party and your playlist playing in the background.
âY/n, did you know that?â
right, you should have probably been listening to the conversation.
âUh, no, itâs news to meâ you topped with an awkward laugh you hoped would go unnoticed.
âthatâs crazy, you learn something new every dayâ Ryan commented, making you wonder for a sec if perhaps you had actually missed something interesting.
Just as you turned to Claire beside you to investigate, everyoneâs attention moved to Vanessa as she strolled toward you.
Not unusual, you thought, she wasnât a woman that got unnoticed.
What you found when you turned too, however, did pique your interest.
A man walked beside her, Pedro Pascal.
He fell into the friend-of-friends category.
He was one of Vanessaâs oldest friends from back when she studied in New York. She talked about him sometimes, but you had never actually met him, which, thinking about it, why was that?
"hi there, how's it going?" V asked
"very well, Pyke here was telling us that sharks do not have bones"
There it was, mystery solved.
V raised her brows clearly unimpressed "Wow, well that's great" she patted his shoulder, as everyone made space for the pair.
Pedro still hadn't spoken, and a match of awkwardness lighted as you all came to the same realization.
"Alright then, I think I'm gonna get another drink" The shark expert spoke, and all of a sudden Claire and Ryan both got really thirsty too as they followed him to the kitchen.
A strange smile pulled at V's lipsÂ
"Anyway, Y/n, this is Pedro" she gestured "Pedro, this is Y/n"
You felt like one of those women in period dramas when their mothers introduce them to a man they think they should marry.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you" You shook his hand "V has told me about you"
"H-hi" he cleared his throat "it's very nice to meet you too"Â
" Pedro's here to film a movie"
"are you?" you asked, interested
"yes, I- Uhm- I am"Â
He looked nervous, and you had no idea why.
"Can I know which, or is it like one of those secret Marvel things?" you joked.
"Oh, no, of course" he laughed, "It's Weapons, it's like a horror movie"
"oh" you winced "Well that's lovely, but you'll have to forgive me if I'm not going to watch it. I hate horror movies"
"Oh, why?" he asked looking genuinely perplexed
"I get scared very easily, and... I'll sound like a 5-year-old, but every time I watch one I have troubles sleeping"
"oh that's fine" he laughed " I get it" he nodded "You don't look like a five-year-old at all" he blurted out, his eyes instantly widening as his brain realized what he had just said "Sound! I meant sound like a 5-year-old" he breathed "you look- you look extremely beautiful, not like-" he stopped himself before he could talk again, and just let out a small "oh god"
You shot Vanessa a glance.
"it's fine" you laughed "I got it," you reassured him, placing a hand on his bicep.
"so, since I'm not going to watch it, why don't you tell me what's about?"
His eyes found yours again, something sparking inside of them at the question.
"Oh you know, it's about guns and swords and rifles," he said with a smile.
You couldn't hide your confusion
"I'm sorry?" you asked, half-laughing
"y'know, because it's called weapons" he explained, his voice getting smaller as he realized the joke had bombed.
"Oh" you laughed, actually laughed "Of course! I'm sorry!"
"No, no don't be sorry it was a stupid joke"
"it was funny, I'm just..." You mimicked something with your hands.
"Y/n!" a shout from across the room caught your attention.
Mary was waving desperately at you, which could only mean that she had either broken another piece of furniture or wanted to do shots.
Neither of those options seemed particularly interesting, for some reason you wanted to know more about the man in front of you.
However, you also couldn't ignore one of your best friends.
"I'll be back in a second, I just need to make sure she hasn't broken another vase" you joked with a grin.
"o-ok" he nodded, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down as he swallowed harshly.
"get ready to tell me about all those weapons!" you called out, already walking to the kitchen.
Once you disappeared, Vanessa raised an eyebrow at him, her expression an open book.
"Don't say anything"
"I'm not"
"good"
there was a brief moment of silence before Vanessa couldn't hold it anymore.
She busted out laughing
"Guns and swords!?" she laughed, recalling his joke
"Shut up"
"And the five-year-old thing!?" she kept going "Dude you've been drooling over her for two years and that's what you go for the moment you finally get to talk to her?"
He couldn't do anything but sigh "I need a drink," he said "And I thought it was funny"
"Yeah, you were the only one, my friend"

Baby Fever
Pairing: Miya Atsumu x f!reader
WC: 1.2k
Summary: Osamu and his wife just had a baby. Now Atsumu sees them everywhere.
A/N: This kind of took a very different direction than I was originally planning and tbh, I kinda hate it now, but I spent over two hours writing it, so I'm gonna roll with it anyway. Maybe when I re-read it in the morning, I'll hate it less đ
There's a term for it. Atsumu isn't sure what it is, but he knows that as soon as you're exposed to something new, you start noticing it around you more and more. That must be why, ever since Osamu's son was born, he's been seeing babies everywhere. They're at the grocery store. They're at the park. Suddenly, half of his teammates have been expanding their families like it's some kind of competition.
Suffice to say, Atsumu has seen more than his share of babies over the past few weeks. Sure, they're cute, or whatever. When a baby smiles at you, you can't help but smile back. When they grab onto your finger, you let them hold it for as long as they want. When they engage you in a staring contest across the grocery store aisle, you only put up a little bit of a fight before giving them the satisfaction of winning, flashing a sheepish smile at their mom or dad as you turn the corner.
The sight of the little monsters has started to trigger a strange twinge in Atsumu's middle, which he chalks up to the fact that he's an uncle now. There's a brand new member of his family, and he's really happy for Osamu and his wife. Seeing the babies everywhere reminds him of that. That's all it is.
See, the two of you had talked about this. You aren't ready for kids right now. He's in the prime of his volleyball career, and you love your job. You're both happy as just the two of you, spending your free time together doing the things you enjoy and getting a full eight hours of sleep each night. Having a baby would change everything. Your last discussion on the topic, right after Osamu and his wife had shared their pregnancy with the two of you, had ended on that exact note. He's pretty confident that's still how you feel. He's relatively confident that's still how he feels, too.
Of course, the longer it goes on, the harder it is to explain away. He watches Osamu doting on his son, snuggling him close and kissing his cheeks and smiling bigger than Atsumu's ever seen before. He knows his brother is tired, but he doesn't seem to care. He watches the way he looks at his wife, and the way both of them look at their son, and it softens something inside him. He sees you cradling your nephew close, cooing down at him with a soft smile, and his heart turns over in his chest.
Finally, one day, he comes to Osamu with a question.
"What's it like?" Osamu is wiping down the counter at Onigiri Miya, clearly trying to disguise his surprise and mild consternation at seeing his brother show up out of the blue, five minutes before closing time.
"What's what like?" He grunts, scrubbing at a ground-in glob of rice.
"Y'know," Atsumu gestures vaguely, "Being a dad."
"Ah," Osamu hums, grasping that quickly what this is all about. "It's incredible. I mean, don't get me wrong," He chuckles, "It ain't easy. It's way worse than whatever ya try to imagine based off a' everybody's helpful advice," He lifts his hands in air quotes. "But somehow, it's also worth it, in a way ya never could've imagined it would be. The way ya feel every time ya look at 'em - ya can't even put it into words."
Atsumu isn't sure how he's supposed to respond to that, so he just nods. Osamu smiles, looking him up and down with a too-critical eye. "Any special reason yer asking?"
"No," Atsumu says with a quick shake of his head, "Just curious, 's all."
Osamu nods, not saying another word, but the smirk on his face is more than enough to make Atsumu want to knock it clean off. Osamu's answer is exactly what he'd been afraid of.
It comes to a head one sunny Saturday afternoon when the two of you meet up with Osamu and his wife and son to visit a festival. The afternoon is starting to wind down when Osamu unceremoniously dumps the baby into Atsumu's arms. "Hey, mind watching him while we go to the bathroom quick?"
"Ah, sure," Atsumu says to his brother's already-retreating back. You poke at the baby's irresistibly pudgy cheeks, giggling along with him when your attentions illicit a bout of laughter.
"Oh my, what a sweetheart!" The elderly woman seems to appear out of nowhere, something Osamu is constantly describing but which Atsumu hasn't experienced until this moment. "Such a happy baby," She grins. "How old is he?" She looks expectantly at you, and after you gather your wits, you answer her.
The woman nods knowingly, as if she'd predicted as much. "Are you having a fun day with Mommy and Daddy?" She asks next in a goofy voice, completely oblivious to the way Atsumu chokes on the breath he'd just been inhaling and you shoot him a wide-eyed glance.
"Ah, well, actually-" You stammer out, at the same time Atsumu blurts, "We're not his parents."
"I see," She says good-naturedly, "Well even so, he looks very happy with you." With that, she goes on her merry way, and you and Atsumu share a bewildered look. Osamu and his wife return from the bathroom, and neither of you mentions the awkward encounter. It doesn't come up until later that evening, when the two of you are lying in bed.
"That was really somethin' today, huh?" Atsumu asks, trying to ignore the fact that his stomach is suddenly in knots.
"The old lady?" You chuckle weakly. "Yeah, 'Samu's right, they really don't have any shame, do they?"
"Yeah," Atsumu says, then takes a deep breath. "Do ya think, maybe, it's time to have that conversation again?"
You're silent for a few moments, and he can't quite place the emotions that cross your face. He doesn't have to explain which conversation he means.
"Maybe," You finally agree in a low voice. "Are you saying that your decision might be different this time?" It could be his imagination, but Atsumu almost thinks that you look hopeful.
"Maybe," He says carefully. "Would yours?"
"Maybe," You echo him, but there's a smile playing at the corners of your mouth.
"There would be a lot of changes," He says softly, fingertips tracing aimless shapes up and down your arm.
"Maybe we're ready for those changes," You murmur back, catching his hand in yours and letting him twine your fingers together.
He brings your hand to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to the back of it. "As long as I've got you, I think I might be."
"Me too," You say, leaning in slightly to nudge the tip of your nose against his. When he kisses you, he hopes the pressure of his lips can convey even the things he can't put into words. He can't imagine living this life with anyone else.

 âOh-kay! I think thatâs enough!â
You frowned when Nami took the drink from your hand, whining in protest when she kept it further away which she knew your drunken self would be unable to reach.
âB-but itâs good, itâs making me happy!â You giggled as you pointed at yourself and then pouted, pulling your manipulative tactic, one you did a lot when you wanted something especially one you did when you were shit-face drunk.Â
With large doey eyes, you pleaded at her, âYou donât want me to be sad right? Iâll be sad if you donât give me- that.â You pointed in a direction you thought she placed the beer but of course, it was way off.
âSee, you canât even make out where Iâve placed the beer! I donât care if it makes you upset and honestly, it was fun to see you make a fool out of yourself, but now itâs justâŠsad.â She sighed, a tone of sympathy as she finished her sentence,
âI know why youâre drinking and itâs not a good way to distract yourself from your feelings! Drinking worsens the problem!â She scolded you to which you now felt a small anger form within you.
âWell then, how else am I supposed to get rid of this dread and just stupidity huh? Being sober is a constant reminder!âÂ
âYour feelings arenât stupid! You like him, Iâd say even love! You canât just assume your feelings are invalid not until you know how the other person feels!â Your best friend felt a rage youâd feel if you saw someone you care about demean their feelings, a sort of anger at them hidden with laces of sympathy.
âHe doesnât fucking care! He only cares about his promises and thatâsâŠthatâs his life, his ownâŠway of living so itâs fine!â
âFeelings to him are justâŠdistractions.â You gulped as you recalled the way he replied to Luffy when the Captain was teasing him about falling in love.Â
[ a few moments ago ]
âZoro, donât you think you should consider finding a partner, donât you also want to fall in love and experience all the magical things that come with it?â Luffy teased as you all sat around a barrel, deciding to just hang out after a busy day.Â
Zoro had a beer in one hand as he took a sip and then rolled his eyes, youâd been seeing his reaction, undoubtedly your heart picking up its pace when you heard the question.Â
âI donât need love, or call it a partner if you will. I already have enough on my plate, all that so-called magical stuff is just a distraction.â He replied, with no hesitation which left no option but for the listeners to believe his words.
Just because heâd spoken his opinion, it didnât mean it hurt less. You knew it though, from the start that Zoro was a determined individual. Despite having his own goals, he also cared about others like Luffy even though he didn't show it much, less that he said it verbally.
It was what made you like him in the first place. After all, whatâs more, better than a man who knows what he wants, is determined to get what he wants, cares for those he considers his friends, and the bonus cherry on top being he was quite easy on the eyes too.Â
A whole package indeed.Â
And you didnât even know when your supposed âI admire him as a person to look up toâ turned into âOh, I think I am in love with him.âÂ
But ah, thatâs the beauty of love and all the magical stuff, isnât it? You never know when youâll be the one who finally falls into it.
Thatâs why, after hearing his words, you felt your heart sink just a little. Screw it, you think you felt it weigh a shit ton and sink to the very pit of your stomach.Â
Nami, oh Nami, what a friend she was truly, because immediately her eyes darted to you after Zoroâs words and she saw your expression go down just as quickly as Zoro downed his bottle of beer.Â
Luffy chuckled, of course, he would, the poor lad was just teasing in the first place anyway to irk Zoro and obviously, he didnât know about poor old youâs feelings.Â
I think I need to go.Â
It sucked how you couldnât refute against him. How you couldnât yell that love is not just a âdistractionâ, love is something that makes one feel moreâŠhuman. Love is a wonderful thing and how if someone were to experience it, it makes you feelâŠ.it makes you feel just happy at being in the presence of the one you, love. JustâŠlove is notâŠitâs not-
âUh guys,â You piped up after sensing the tense atmosphere, tense to you anyway since you felt like a seashell was clogged up your throat.Â
âIâm gonna goâŠget some fresh air. Yeah uh- Iâll be behind if you need me.â You abruptly got up, smiling tightly at Luffy, purposefully avoiding Namiâs questioning yet pitiful look and harshly blatantly ignoring how Zoroâs attention turned towards you, about to question you too, his face showing the emotions heâd not show before 5 bottles of beer.Â
Sighing quietly, you picked up the drink youâd been downing, still having an adequate portion in it and you thought about it, saying fuck it as you grabbed two more from the stack that was in the middle.
âContinue withâŠyour shenanigans,â You turned around and let your emotions finally show on your face, words repeatedly swinging in your head as you tried to filter them out.Â
Itâs nothing but a distraction.
And now, a few bottles (2) and a whole lot of giggling later, you may have truly begun to take Zoroâs words seriously.Â
âI feel sick, perhaps itâs my heart breaking, see it hurts here the most.â You groaned as you looked out into the sea, pointing to your chest, though inaccurate as you held your right side, the sun appearing as a blurry blight light due to your vision becoming hazier as you got more drunk.
Nami sighed at you, realizing you should probably just be made to go to bed, despite it being only a few hours away from actual nightfall.
âCome on, letâs go, youâve thought enough,â She stood up, having been sitting beside you on a barrel while youâd been sitting on the same.
She pushed her hand outwards towards you, to which you giggled and you were pretty sure your cheeks ached now.Â
âNamii~how do you have-â you pointed your finger out, counting the fingers â-ten fingers! On one hand?!â You continued staring at her hand in awe as she rolled her eyes, a small grin on her face, finding your drunken self a tiny bit cute.Â
Suddenly you felt your world stumble as she grabbed you and pulled you upwards, you now decided you did not know how to walk and leaned your entire body weight on her.Â
Now, Nami wasnât a weak person but considering how you were more on the taller side than her while also being a bit more buff due to the immense training you did every day to practice your own skills, you did weigh more.
She quickly made you sit back down when she realized she couldn't possibly carry you, she needed help.
"Stay here 'kay? I'll be back." She told you to which you obediently nodded, which made a genuine grin form on her face.
Maybe she did prefer drunk you who'd follow her orders with no protests.
You looked back at the sea, the sun even lower than before, a type of golden shining on the blues that reminded you of a certain someone's earrings and oh, there it was.
Your thoughts slowly getting consumed by the moss head who despite drinking so much to forget was so embedded deep into your memory and probably heart at this point that even the slightest similarity you saw, be it colors or flowers, reminded you of him.Â
Ah, that's love and all its magical stuff am I right?Â
Sighing, she made her way back to where the rest of them were, the crew picking up on her presence,
"Where's Y/N? Weren't you bringing them?"Â
"Well, for one they are SHIT face drunk, I don't think they are even conscious of where they are right now so I'll need to take them to bed but also, I can't carry them alone."Â
She rolled her eyes at the stupidity of drowning yourself in your feelings, quite literally but she knew she wouldn't complain to the rest of them or more so she couldn't.
"Well I'm sure, one of us can help-"
"I'll help you carry them." Zoro interrupted your captain who was just about to suggest him. If there was one who could probably carry anything heavy too, it was him of course.Â
Nami eyed him curiously, she did know he wasn't ready to doâŠkind deeds, not unless it helped him in some way. Though, she thinks, you may just be an exception.
He stood up and walked towards where you were, which was at the back, Nami followed suit to which he turned towards her.
"It's alright if you don't come, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to carry them myself." He said it and Nami narrowed her eyes, half out of suspicion and half out of spite after hearing the cocky undertone to his words.Â
Proving that was one corner of his lips being turned upwards, forming an annoyingly handsome smirk that if you saw it, you'd probably be more on the brink of absolutely losing it.
"Take care of them and if they are hurt-" Zoro rolled his eyes at the over-exaggeration, and Nami knew that but as your best friend and a platonic soulmate at this point, she felt she had to say something.Â
"I don't mean it that way, you know damn well what I mean." She told firmly, to which a slight confusion did flash in Zoro's eyes but he didn't make it obvious as he glared at her, ready to bicker.
"Nami!" Luckily, Luffy's timing seemed impeccable as he called her, to which she turned around, allowing no further talk.
Zoro just brushed off her words and moved to where you were.
Despite, Zoro admitting to never wanting a partner, it didn't mean though, that he didn't feel.Â
He cared. He cared enough for Luffy to stick with him. He cared enough to fulfill a promise.Â
And he cared for you too as he saw you sleeping soundly, laying your head on the ship, using your hands as a makeshift pillow.Â
And yet, he somehow knew it was different. It was different from how he cared for others.Â
He gulped as he moved closer, now being able to see your features being highlighted by the afterglow of the sun setting.Â
It was as though you were the sun's favorite child at the moment, touching parts of your face softly, careful enough to not awaken you yet enough to rest on it to make it golden.Â
The evening breeze couldn't have picked a better time to pass as strands of your hair messily moved, your face scrunching up in disturbance.Â
He didn't even perceive how he'd reached you and was actually touching strands of your hair to push them back in place so as to not disturb your sleep.Â
He wasn't even a gentle person, but he was using soft fingers with even softer touches to push them back.Â
He figured he should in fact take you back to your bed, well shared bed with Nami.Â
Deciding there was no need to wake you up, he moved beside you, putting one arm underneath your knees while the other looped just above your waist and below your chest.Â
You blinked open your eyes when you felt yourself floating, it seemed like you were floating for a brief second, engulfed by warm clouds and a nice pillow that was-
You looked up and saw the side profile of someone.Â
They seemed familiar.Â
A glint of gold caught your eye as you put your left arm up and poked the earring, giggling as you saw it move.
"Wow, pretty," You think you'd seen it but your eyes being hazier than before after your mini nap seemed to only make your vision more blurry.
The sudden exhale and whisper down his neck almost made Zoro trip as he didn't really expect you to be up.
He was just near your shared room.
"Where are you taking me? Who are you?" You asked the important questions now, your mushed brain being able to form somewhat coherent thoughts.Â
"You- you don't know who I am?" He asked you, confusion in his features and then remembering why you were lost.Â
Right, practically wasted. And apparently memory loss due to being wasted.
He pushed the door open, as flimsy as it was, careful to not eventually break it down.
You looked around your surroundings, now even more lost as to where you actually were.
You squealed as he let you down, immediately realizing it was a terrible idea when you almost toppled over, unable to hold your own weight as he pushed his arm around your waist.
You held onto the man's shirt as you tried not to trip and fall.
"Here I'll just- I'll get you to bed." He guided you towards your bed, hand still wrapped around your waist as he looped yours over his neck.Â
You plopped down with your eyes shut, your head began spinning when you almost tripped and you groaned in regret.
"Drinking too much was such a bad idea, like all my decisions lately." You put your hand on your forehead as you tried to rub the forming headache away.Â
Hearing a walking sound, you peered your eyes open. Half-open anyways as you still couldn't make out well anything.
You could see the supposed stranger who'd help you till your bed was going to turn around and likely go but at that moment, you decided you didn't really want to beâŠalone.
Grabbing his hand before he moved away, you pulled him back with all your force. It didn't phase his movements much though other than him halting.Â
Zoro turned back to you after deciding he should probably leave before he either said something he'd regret or worse, did something he'd regret.Â
It wasn't his fault though with howâŠcute you looked as you plopped down, making him want to ki-
"StayâŠplease." You whispered to him, still holding onto his wrist as you blinked at him.
A familiar green color sat on top of his head but you figured it was a common color despite being sober you absolutely made fun of it when you could about how uncommon it was but also whined about how unfairly good it looked on him.Â
The same him who looked at you in confusion and disbelief,
"You want me to stay, right now? With you?"
âOf course! I feel quite alone right now, maybe the company will make me feel better here.â You let go of his arm, the loss of your colder hand in contrast to his warm skin making him slightly frown.Â
You pointed at your chest, surprisingly getting it right this time by pointing toward your left side.
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, âDoes your chest hurt or something?âÂ
There was a slight concern in his tone, one which made you giggle.Â
âNot- not physically silly, itâs- itâs my heart, it feels like itâs been gutted- wait no too- too gruesome, it feels like someone just punched it and it broke.â As you blubbered about your heartbroken state, your words made him more curious and concerned.
He decided he should probably hear you out, after all despite not being a great talker, heâd consider himself a decent listener.Â
Grabbing the barrel you used as a chair placed under your makeshift desk, he moved to sit beside your bed.Â
âItâs ridiculous. I should have known there was no chance, but it isnât like you get a choice sometimes on how you should feel about someone, it justâŠhappens.â You spoke softly, as Zoro turned his attention toward you, wondering who was this person whoâd caused you to feel soâŠsad.Â
He didnât realize it but he felt a slow anger build up, one he excused as frustration due to your mumbling but not one out of simply, probably, jealousy.
Yes, he was jealous ofâŠ.this person because it sure as hell seemed as though you were deeply in love to have been feeling like this.Â
Ironic.
âWhy do I even like him?â Oh, he definitely did not want to hear you talk about him, he decided.
Screw being a good listener, he was already in a crisis when Luffy put him on the spot asking about whether heâd want a lover or not, and then him trying his best not to divert his gaze towards you, so instead he chose an option ( one heâd regret later on ) and gave a seemingly believable answer.Â
Maybe a while ago, heâd have stuck to that answer, and actually no, he was sticking to it, quite well too.
That was until you stumbled onto the crew or more like in true Luffy fashion, were persuaded enough to stay.Â
At first, he didnât care enough. It was more so he didnât particularly like you too. You were what he was not. Careless, overly enthusiastic at times, and way too optimistic for your own good. You looked to see the good in everyone, believing that there was always some sort of goodness in everyone.
Zoro found that stupid, knowing how reality was always different. Everyone is and will always be selfish for their own greed. He was too, he wanted to fulfill his promise and that was it.Â
That was his goal and nothing else really mattered to him.
Itâs what he thought would remain the same till he accomplished it but a sudden diversion came in the form of wellâŠyou.
He didnât even realize it but the annoyance heâd get when he heard your lame jokes turned into him looking away from your silly smile to try and hide his own forming grin.
How heâd always automatically be looking for you if theyâd stop at an island, choosing to follow you and dismissing Namiâs suspicious glances by saying youâd likely do something stupid that might put everyone in danger if left alone.
It was funny what this could make anyone feel. He didnât ever feel like this, he didnât even want to admit he was close to feeling but how long could a person remain in denial?
He was in love with you.Â
He couldnât simply excuse his heart racing at your presence as simply annoyance, he couldnât excuse finding pretty flowers and them reminding him of you as wellâŠ.yeah you get the point.Â
That revelation honestly made him spiral into a sort of existential crisis.Â
So he decided it was best to do one thing.
Ignore it. Ignore everything and simply wait until it all fades away.Â
But silly him, he didnât know one thing about love and he assumed it was something that fades away, yet there it was, in his gaze as it softened and in his heart as it sunk slowly like an anchor.Â
Clogging his throat as if he couldnât simply breathe when you admitted to being in love with someone, someone who wasnât him.
Ah love and its magical stuff, yet why does he feel like it's more of a curse right now?Â
He opened his mouth, and closed it again, resembling a fish and it felt like he wanted to say everything yet nothing.
They probably donât deserve you.Â
The thought resonated in his head, but really who was he to say so because did someone like you even deserve him?
Turning to face him completely, ducking your hand under your head, you blinked at him slowly, a grin forming on your face as you saw the strangerâs hair.
âYouâŠyou remind me of him, your hair, itâs that ugly color.â You softly giggled to which Zoro was left in yet a contradiction of emotions, whether or not he should feel offended or light over the sound of your soft giggles.Â
Wait.Â
âCome closer, Iâll tell you a secret.â He blinked at you, trying not to show any emotions and wondering if youâd ever even talk to him like this sober.
Deciding to follow what you said, something heâd never do if you were sober, he leaned in, putting one arm as support to hold him due to the slightly uncomfortable position.Â
âI- donât laugh at me first of all, itâs ridiculous, Nami says Iâm being too much of a coward not saying it upfront.â You looked at him to which he nodded, in your mind you presumed it was reassurance and agreeing to not find you ridiculous.
Somehow, despite you not knowing who was in front of you, your heart was picking up in pace and you felt a slight nervousness, actually, you almost felt like throwing up.
As if you were just about to actuallyâŠ
âI think, actually no, I am definitely in love with Zoro.â
âŠconfess to Zoro.Â
Good thing, Zoro had quick reflexes because he felt his arm slip and if it werenât for those quick reflexes, heâd have fallen face-first into the ground. He sat up straighter as if what he heard had physically burned him.Â
âIt sounds ridiculous, falling in love with someone like him but heâs actually a very loveable person, at least once he begins to get moreâŠmore comfortable around you. He talks less, shows emotions or any reactions even less, always carrying around a bitch face- Nami says so- but-but he also cares through his actions like-like that one time he found Luffyâs straw hat when he thought he lost- he spent hours helping him look for it and trying to keep Luffy from crying and then, then this other time he stayed up all night when I got hurt and wasnât able to sleep. And-and thereâs sooo many other times heâs done, the small things, he cares for that.â
âYou know. I think that was when I knew I loved him. When he didnât need to stay up, yet he did to make sure I didnât die or something.â You finished with a soft giggle as memories of that day flashed in front of your closed eyes.Â
Suddenly he felt way warmer than the room was.Â
âI know, I know youâllâŠyouâll call me stupid for loving someone whoâs already in fact rejected me, not-not to my face of course but indirectly I suppose.â
Wait, what?
Rejected you?
How could he do that when- when he didnât-
âI hate this! I hate the way I feel, it- itâs making me feel pathetic.â Your words slurred as you whined, using your makeshift pillow to groan into.
âWho said love is magical? Itâs pathetic! It makes you stupid enough to have stupid hopes that only make you fly high until suddenly the actual reality crashes you down hard.â You spoke somberly, your words slowly fading out as you gave into the alcohol-induced sleep.
âLove isâŠpathetic. But- but I love him. So much. I loveâŠyou.â The last word came out as a hush as you exhaled, shutting your eyes and letting go of the pillow as you finally got knocked out.Â
It pained him to see you call yourself patheticâŠall while being the reason you felt that way.Â
Zoro was conflicted. The contradiction of emotions making him all do,
Nothing.Â
He was frozen. He couldn't say a word, couldn't raise his hand to rub your back to perhaps comfort you.Â
His mind was in more chaos, your words replaying like a loop.Â
And finally, he came to a conclusion.
I need a drink. Fuck, maybe even three.Â
Perhaps if you were awake, itâd be a different reaction. Perhaps if you werenât drunk, youâd have not said it.Â
The idea of you then getting over him, probably because youâd think he rejected you indirectly due to his words. This left a more bitter aftertaste in his mouth and mind than the beer he just downed.
He left your side, deciding he needed a breather to process what heâd just been told. He made sure youâd be in a comfortable position, placing your arms to your sides and even draped a sad excuse of a blanket, one that you brought yourself of an old woman when you had stopped at an island and one you loved, sad excuse because it was very thin but apparently you couldnât sleep without it.Â
He had turned back to you, one more time, about to say something but he just sighed and turned around, walking away to where he was now.Â
Now, almost halfway through the crate of beers, he still couldnât get rid of the confusion.Â
Did- did you mean it?
It was conflicting because for one you said it under the influence, maybe youâd even meant someone else and just said his name by mistake. He hated that, so he chose to focus on you saying it solely for him.Â
âWhy-just why are you trying to die of alcohol poisoning? What is up with you idiots drinking like maniacs today?â A voice said in both disgust and concern as she walked up beside him, facing the sea, and then looking at him, the concern being evident as she saw the conflict of emotions on his face.
She knew he wasnât one to speak up, it was rather his body language and eyes that spoke what he felt.Â
He just sighed, taking a smaller sip of the drink, placing both arms on the side of the ship, and observing the waves.
Nami truly wondered what could have happened until she realized.Â
âDid something happen with Y/N?â She cooly asked, observing his expression and surely enough a change of emotion was seen with the way he suddenly stiffened up.
âNothing remarkableââ
âOh cut the crap Zoro, you look like someone stole your fucking swords and threw them into the sea.âÂ
Now he turned towards her, a slight look of horror while he narrowed his eyes at her,
âThatâs oddly specific.â
âWonât deny anything. But, donât change the topic.â
âThey toldâ you something?â She figured she should just straight up ask it, put it out in the blue, out of the bad.
Zoro contemplated whether he should spill it, feeling like maybe it would be invading your privacy but even if he didnât want to admit it, he needed some sort of advice.Â
âThey- uh told me they lo- well see-â He shifted his attention back to the sea, finding it hard to say it to her face without giving away much.Â
Technically you confessed but also you didnât? You ranted about being in love with Zoro and how you wished you didnât, you did that thinking you were spilling it to a stranger but it was the man himself so is that a confession?Â
âSo they finally did it?â He turned towards her raising his eyebrows in question, âThey confessed?âÂ
Now he was surprised but how accurate she was, â They are too coward- no offense- to do it while sober so âfigured from the way you look likeâ She pointed towards his face with her finger âThey either kissed you, which doesnât seem evident from your face not being smothered with lipgloss, they confessed.âÂ
He gulped from his active imagination flashing a picture of you kissing him and how-
âBut why are you so freaked out then? Shouldnât you be happy your silly little crush is mutual?â
âIt wasnât a confession. More like a rant, they thought I was someone else and they basically spewed it all, and wait what do you mean mutual- I donât uh-â
âOh don't give that bullshit now. I know- in fact, even a blind person could see how in love you are with them.âÂ
Zoro didnât know whether to get offended or embarrassed if it were really that obvious. He exhaled heavily, clearly not satisfied with the situation still.Â
âWhat if they donât even remember? What if they begin to ignore me because they think I donât like them?âÂ
âWell you did say you werenât looking for a partner or so on, did you forget that idiot?â Nami shook her head as she rolled her eyes at him.
âI-well- It wasnât intentional! I panicked!â
âAnd now this is your consequence. Though thereâs a simple solution to this crisis which isnât a crisis actually, itâs pretty straightforward.â
Now he was curious, a way to solve this whole catastrophe?Â
âSince you think theyâll forget by morning, how about you confront them then?â
âIn the morning, you clear out your feelings before you dumbasses end up avoiding each other to purposefully brush this aside and I swear! I swear if it gets awkward because you both wonât look past your egos, Iâll force you into the damn cabin and lock you there to talk.â
Nam smiled sweetly, yet a threat underlined beneath her final words and Zoro thought of the only thing he should do now.
âFine then.â
âIâll talk. IâllâŠconfess to everything.â

Could I have an imagine/a little scenario of Madara, Itachi, Sasuke and Hashirama explaining to his son that his wife is pregnant again and that he'll have a little sibling soon? Thank you! I hope I'm not bothering đ
[ đž ] these four give me vibes of being mayhem with a little kid around them⊠pfff-
characters: madara uchiha;; itachi uchiha;; sasuke uchiha;; hashirama senju;; some character mentions
genre: fluff;; lovely-family comedy;; sad moments?
warnings: none;; grown men trying to explain to a child where babies come from (it goes wrong);; pregnant reader;; is a happily married couple a warning?

madara uchiha
*welcome to see the scariest man in the ninja world being a puddle of nerves with his son.
*He does not know how to explain this topic to the child đ
*The only reason he does it is that you talked him into it.
*And he, being the good husband that he was, succumbed to your wishes lmao
"But darling, I don't know how to explain this to our son-"
"You will do a good job, love, besides, who would be the best to explain this than you?"
*Letting out a dramatic sigh, your imposing husband - who didn't look so imposing now - sat down with his boy, and spoke
"You're going to be a big brother"
*He would try to explain your pregnancy situation to the best of his ability to his four-year-old son.
*What it entails, the burden your body will carry. How in your precious womb you carry his son, his beloved youngest son, who will be born in a few months.
*But, despite everything- it fails miserably.
*Your son, oh, your precious and clearly confused son, innocently asked his dad, âBut daddy, how did mommy get pregnant?â
*Madara.exe has stopped working- Seriously, the question leaves him paralyzed for a full minute.
*You think he just stopped breathing because he just doesn't move anymore.
*But no- there's nothing to worry about⊠he just doesn't know how to function anymore.
*His mind went blank, and he forgot the steps to follow to exist.
*He's had his Windows reset, just give him a moment- and yes, he'll be fine, I promise.
*When he comes to, he gives you a 'helping' look as he adorably babbles nonsense.
âI-âŠuhhh well IâŠâ, he tries to speak as you try not to laugh at his unfavorable situation. How could you avoid it? The only times he's been like this is only when you annoy him-also when more racy things happen, and you're the dominant one... but that's a topic for another day-
*But seriously, help him or send help please... He's going to collapse at any moment, pfff-
*Also remembering his younger brother, Izuna. But he trusts that his son will not make the same mistake that he did, which was not protecting his younger brother.
. - - -
itachi uchiha
*Actually, it happened unexpectedly.
*You had not yet told your son about your pregnancy.
*And One night you were having a hard time with the terrible vomiting of pregnancy. And Itachi, like the loving and protective husband that he is, was by your side comforting you and holding your hair so it wouldn't get in your way. Your beloved partner was so focused on you that he did not notice that his son was at the entrance of the bathroom door watching what was happening.
*He only became aware of his son's presence when he helped you up because your body had been very weak.
*He could see the worry and fear in his son's eyes, the little boy was worried about you, his loving mother.
*After helping you get clean, he took you to your shared room to tuck you into the soft bed, after making sure you were comfortable and that you were asleep, he went to where his son was. When he approached his son Itachi's heart ached, his child looked like he was about to cry. With quick steps he approached the small body of him to hug him.
*With a trembling voice, his son, soon to be five, asked, "Daddy, is Mommy going to die?"
*Itachi had to hold back the amused smile that was about to appear on his face. After all his son was genuinely worried about you, he had to calm down those worries first, and then the next morning he could tell you and laugh along with you about his son's innocent question.
*Stroking the soft hair of his son, he spoke, "Your mommy will be fine, little one, it's just that she's pregnant."
*And congratulation's! You now have two official bodyguards; your loving husband and son.
*"I'll protect you mommy!" //Itachi supporting from the back//
*Rather, you and itachi protect him, but- don't tell him, okay? Your baby is proud and Itachi only feeds your son's pride lmao
. - - -
sasuke uchiha
*He is proud and happy to have another child (he vaguely wants it to be a girl)
*Since he wants to break the news to the boy, he tries to mentally prepare himself to explain to his son about your situation (you support him deep down).
*When he feels ready, he goes to where his son is and sits next to him.
*He starts off softly preparing the boy for the big reveal.
âHave you ever⊠wanted to be a big brother?â
*The question brings out everything his son has imagined, when he thinks about what he would be like as a big brother.
*How he would always protect his little brother or sister, how he would play with him or her and how he would always be there for them.
*Vaguely, his own son reminds him of Itachi, his beloved older brother now deceased. And Sasuke remembering his family again wonders if his father and his brother had this talk before he was born.
*He swallows the urge to cry just remembering Itachi again.
*but, he is happy just thinking that his son will be a good big brother, just like his uncle.
*And Sasuke knows that, if one day he and his beloved wife are no longer in this world, his eldest son will take care of the youngest⊠just as itachi took care of him.
"You're going to be a big brother"
*Yes⊠his son is going to be a good big brother.
*And that same afternoon a happy Sasuke, but a little sad, returned to your arms along with his son, very excited who kept asking you about your little belly.
. - - -
hashirama senju
*He's nervous, you'd think it's just because of your pregnancy
*but it's not like that
*is he nervous?, yes
*but he's scared too, you know?
*His father was not the best father figure, he was not a good husband either
*and you would really think that being the head of the village he would be sensible regardless, but no.
*He's just afraid of becoming like his father, he's afraid of hurting you one day and hurting his children.
*And even though you're always reassuring him that he'll be a good husband, there's still that little pressure on his chest of fear.
*But surprisingly, he gets up and talks to his son.
*He knows that if one day the fear of becoming like his father comes true, his eldest son will be able to protect you from him.
*According to him, he is avoiding catastrophes⊠pfff-
*His son, seeing his not so animated state, asks him what he has, and despite only being five years old, your husband tells him about his fears.
*And the child in his innocent little head assures him that he would never be a monster, he could never be like that, because he is his precious daddy.
*the one who always tells bad jokes and makes his beloved mother laugh.
*Your husband, being the sentimental man he is- cries, cries like when you said the same thing to him the first time while he hugs his son.
*When the hugs end and the thoughts and fears leave Hashirama he can rest in peace. He no longer sees himself as someone who will be bad one day.
*And most importantly, if he ever disappears or dies, he knows that his older son will protect you and his younger brother.

HELLO! :) I kind of kept the idea you had, but added the friends to lovers trope as well. I hope that's okay! I've been trying to right this for the last couple days and that was the only way I was getting the full inspiration to write a long fic haha.
Falling - Ethan Landry x Fem!Reader
This contains SMUT - Minors DNI
Summary: You need a date for your cousins wedding, so Ethan agrees to go with you. You're in a complicated friends with benefits situation, and him seeing you in your dress is too much for him to handle as he tries to sneak you away from everyone else.
Contains: 4.1k words, Fluff, FWB relationship, Oral-both m and f recieving, fem!masturbation, p in v sex. If i missed anything, please let me know:)
A/N: I'll update my master list tomorrow. Honestly a little nervous because I've written so much since the last time I updated itđ
Ethan is one of your best friends, but heâs also your friend with benefits, your sneaky link. No one else in the friend group was aware of what happened behind closed doors when the two of you were alone, or seemed to pay attention when Ethan would leave a party, that youâd slip out five minutes later. He asked about the friends with benefits thing after what you assumed would be a one-night stand, but thatâs easier said than done when you see the person almost every single day.
He'd be lying if he said he wasnât starting to get caught up in you, wanting nothing more than to have you to himself. You werenât hooking up with anyone else, but he was always worried about you finding someone. The agreement was his idea, but you said it was fine as long as no one caught feelings. Your words played in the back of his mind every time heâd want to show you affection outside of hooking up. It took everything in him to not grab your hand or pull you into a kiss whenever he wanted to.
He still felt like he had the best of both worlds. He loved that you two could be playing video games one minute, and youâd be bent over the side of his bed the next. He thought you were beautiful, but your personality is what really sucked him in. He loved to listen to you talk about the things youâre passionate about and loved the way you treated people.
As you put your clothes back on after a quickie before your afternoon class, you started to think about your cousinâs wedding you had to go to, and how you still needed a date. You knew that if you asked Ethan, heâd say yes. You still felt nervous about the date concept, though, because your family would be there. Theyâd take the âHeâs just a friendâ thing and twist it until theyâd ask if he was coming home with you for the holidays.
Ethan noticed that you were lost in thought, and started to think he mightâve done something wrong.
âWas I too rough?â he asked, sitting down on the side of the bed. It snapped you out of your thoughts as you started to smile.
âNo, that was perfect,â you said, sitting beside him.
âWhatâs on your mind, then? I could tell you were thinking about something.â
You sighed, turning your head towards him, âOkay, you might think this is a stupid idea, but my cousin is getting married in two weeks, and I kind of need a date. Would you maybe want to go with me? Itâs okay if you donât.â
He started to laugh at your rambling as you said everything so quickly that it was hard for him to keep up. âIâll go with you.â
âBut my whole family will be there, and it might get a little awkward,â you said, as his hand rested against your thigh.
âIâll go with you,â he repeated. You were about to say something else, before he continued, âWhat, are you nervous theyâre going to call me your boyfriend or something when they introduce me to people?â Â Â
âYeah,â you said, as he leaned in to kiss you.
âSo what if they do?â he smiled, âWeâre about to be late for class if we donât leave right now.â
Later in the week, you started to talk to Ethan about the wedding, and the dress code requirements. It was a black-tie event, meaning Ethan needed a suit.
âDoes this look okay?â he asked, walking out of the dressing room. You glanced up from your phone, your mouth falling open as you gawked at him. âMy eyes are up here, sweetheart.â
You started to laugh, your cheeks turning pink as you composed yourself. âYeah, you look really good.â
âI wasnât sure, that kind of reaction usually means really good, or really bad,â he said as he headed back in the dressing room to change back into his clothes. You almost didnât want him to take it off. He was always attractive, but there was something about seeing him in a suit that made you a little hot and bothered.
When he walked back out with the suit bag in his hand, you couldnât help but think how torturous the wedding was going to be if you had to look at him dressed like that all day, silently cursing your cousinâs dress code as he went up to the counter to pay for it.
Your reaction made him feel a lot more confident about being your wedding date. He was excited to go with you, but he was scared that he would look awkward when he knew youâd look amazing. He wanted to impress your family, too.
The day of the wedding, you took so long to get ready. Ethan had been in the parking lot waiting for you thirty minutes after you said youâd be out.
âWeâre definitely going to be late,â he said to himself, as he pulled out his phone to text you again.
Then he glanced up and saw you walking down the stairs of your apartment complex, holding up your long dress a little so it wouldnât drag the ground. His eyes widened as his heart pounded in his chest. He was realizing how difficult the night was going to be for him to keep his hands off you.
âHey, Iâm sorry,â you said, opening the passenger door. As you sat down, you looked at him in the suit again as you closed the door. You racked your brain for the right way to compliment him, because if you spoke your mind, youâd never make it to the wedding and just take him inside to fuck him. You finally settled on a simple âYou look good.â
âYou are so beautiful,â he blurted out before he had a chance to think about what he was saying. You curiously looked over at him as you giggled, before he continued, âThat mightâve been a little much, but itâs true.â
âWell thanks, Eth,â you smiled, as he passed you his phone to control the music as he drove.
He stayed silent the rest of the way there. He was still a little embarrassed about being so forward with you, even though it was truly how he felt. But thatâs what this little agreement has turned into. He canât ever say exactly whatâs on his mind or how he feels, because you told him he couldnât catch feelings. The last thing he wanted was to ruin the friendship with how he felt.
Once you arrived at the venue, you rushed inside with Ethan. You knew you were cutting it close, showing up five minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start. As you and Ethan sat down in the chairs beside your parents, you were happy that they wouldnât have much time to grill him right off the bat.
âSo, is this Ethan?â your mom asked, as he reached across you to shake her hand. âYou look so handsome. Itâs nice to meet you.â
âItâs nice to meet you, too,â he smiled, sitting back in his seat. She glanced over at you like she was about to say something.
âWhat?â you asked, and she motioned with her finger for you to move a little closer.
âHeâs cute. How long have you been seeing him?â she asked, as you rolled your eyes.
âWeâre just friends, mom,â you whispered, âPlease donât make this awkward.â
âThereâs something else going on, I can tell by the way he looks at you,â she said, before the music started.
You scoffed as you sat back in your seat, knowing exactly how the night was going to go. Yeah, he looks at you differently than a normal friend would, because he regularly sees you naked. You started to feel bad for what Ethan was going to be subjected to at the reception.
Once the ceremony was over, you searched the seating chart to find out what table youâd be sitting at. You felt anxious once you found your table, and noticed that Ethan was sitting across from you, your dad beside him.
âFuck,â you muttered, as your mom walked up beside you and Ethan.
âWatch your mouth,â she said, sitting down in her seat.
You sat down beside her as Ethan sat down across from you. Your dad soon joined the table, officially introducing himself to Ethan. As they talked, you were trying to listen to their conversation to make sure they werenât talking about anything that might make him uncomfortable, until your mom started to talk to you.
âThat ceremony was beautiful, wasnât it?â she asked, as you nodded.
âYeah, I was trying so hard not to cry. Their vows were so sweet.â
âThey were,â your dad said, joining the conversation, before leaving it to talk to Ethan again. âSo, what are your intentions with my daughter?â
âDad!â you said loudly, âWeâre just friends.â
âSheâs quite the catch, though,â he said to Ethan as he gestured to you. Ethan started to blush, the conversation making him nervous.
âSeriously? Is this how the whole night is going to be?â you huffed, as Ethan smirked at you.
Your dad started to respond as your eyes stayed on Ethan, your heart starting to thump in your chest. After months of secretly hooking up, you had these signals you used. The smirk meant he wanted to get you alone as soon as possible.
âAre you listening?â your dad asked, trying to get your attention.
âSorry.â Ethan was smiling at the flustered look on your face as your dad started to speak again.
âI was just saying that you need to put yourself out there. You never date,â he said, as you rolled your eyes.
âIâm focused on school. You know, the education that youâre paying for,â you sighed, exchanging another quick glance with Ethan.
âJust be sure to take time for yourself, too,â your mom said, as the bride and groom were about to share their first dance.
Your parents were distracted as they watched the newlyweds dance, while Ethanâs eyes bored into yours. Heâd been trying to fight off the urge to touch you since you first got in the car. It was getting more and more difficult as he watched you get frustrated with your parents. He wanted to fuck that frustration out of you.
Once they were finished, the DJ invited everyone else out to the dance floor. You took the opportunity to snatch Ethan away before your parents could make things more awkward than they already had.
His hands went to your hips as yours went around his neck. The tension was so strong between the two of you as he looked into your eyes.
âI need you,â he said, the grip on your hips getting a little tighter. You softly gasped at the feeling.
âWe canât right now,â you said, glancing around you to make sure no one else was hearing the conversation.
âWhat if we could find somewhere to be alone? Or we could go to my car,â he said, his hands subtly rubbing your hips.
âMy parents are watching. As much as I want to, we canât.â You looked over, smiling at them.
Before Ethan could say anything else, they asked everyone to clear the floor for the wedding games. Ethan stood behind you in the crowd of people, his hands going to your hips as he pulled your ass against him, his hard cock straining against the material of his pants.
He leaned down to whisper in your ear as everyone else was distracted, âThereâs a hallway over there. Want to see where it goes?â
You looked over to your parents who were so focused on the funny interaction happening in the middle of the room between your cousin and her new husband. You knew if you were going to sneak away, this was your chance. You noticed the hallway Ethan was talking about a few feet away from you.
He was still leaning down waiting for your answer. âIâll go first, I need you to wait a few minutes. I donât want this to be obvious.â
You looked at him as he nodded, his bottom lip in between his teeth as you pulled away to explore the dimly lit hallway.
You didnât have to go very far as you eased open the first door you saw, noticing that it must be one of the rooms the wedding party got ready in. There were several empty beer cans scattered around the room, so you assumed it mustâve been the groomâs area. You slipped inside and cracked the door, waiting for Ethan to walk down the hallway. You soon saw the tall, curly-haired boy, and opened the door far enough to pull him in.
His lips immediately connected with yours as he pushed the door shut with the hand that wasnât on your hip and clicking the lock so no one else could come into the room.
âYou have no idea how hard Iâve been,â he said as he pulled away, his eyes hooded and dark in lust. âYou look so fucking hot in that dress.â
âAnd you look hot in this suit,â you said, grabbing his tie and pulling him to you so you could kiss him again.
He backed you over to the loveseat in the room, not breaking the kiss. When his lips trailed over your jaw and down your neck, he started to hike your dress up your legs. His hands roamed your smooth, newly exposed flesh before kneading at your thighs.
âMmh, I need you, Ethan,â you whimpered, as his teeth grazed your neck. As bad as he wanted to mark you up, he knew there was no way to hide it.
âYou want me to fuck your pretty little pussy?â he asked as you nodded, his hand brushing over your panties. He realized the effect he was having on you as his fingers ran over your clothed clit. âFuck, youâre soaked.â
âI told you that you looked hot in that suit,â you whimpered out, his fingers moving faster as he rubbed them against you.
He pushed your panties to the side, his fingers not wasting any time to dip inside you. He watched your face as his fingers worked inside you, intentionally missing the spot heâs so familiar with. He noticed you were getting a little frustrated with the lack of attention where you needed it, the smirk on his face giving away that he was trying to tease you.
âPlease, baby,â you whined, his smirk turning to a smile. He moved his fingers the way you needed him to, as he continued to watch you. During sex, you had a âno pet namesâ agreement. You only called him Ethan or Eth, and he only called you by your name. His heart was swelling as you kept whimpering âYes babe, right there.â
He leaned his head down as your dress was bunched at your hips, his tongue brushing against your clit. Your hips started to move against his hand as his licks got faster, chasing the release you needed. When he sucked your clit into his mouth, that was all it took as your pussy spasmed around his fingers, your moans flooding out of your mouth. Your chest was heaving as he kept fucking his fingers into you.
âOh my god,â you finally let out as you came down from your high, and Ethan slid his fingers out. âWhat was with that teasing?â
âWhat was with you calling me baby?â he asked, your cheeks turning red as you stammered. âI didnât mind it, though.â
âOh, I uh, I guess I just couldnât help it. It felt like the right thing to say,â you laughed a little, as Ethan eyed you curiously. âLetâs talk about this later. We donât have much time.â
You leaned forward to the edge of the couch and unbuckled his belt as he stood in front of you. His cock was throbbing as your hand brushed over it, your lustful eyes connecting with his.
When you unbuttoned his pants and slid them down his thighs along with his boxers, he groaned at the free feeling. Your mouth went to his tip, placing gentle licks to get all the precum that was starting to drip out. You took him in your mouth, gagging a little to get to the good spit, your saliva starting to drip down his cock. His hand was about to go to your head when you pulled away and started to stroke him.
âDo you really think Iâm beautiful?â you asked, your hand moving at a steady pace as he watched you. You couldnât get his comment from earlier in the day out of your mind.
âYeah,â he said, his answer making your hand move faster. âOh fuck.â
âDo you think we could ever be more than friends who fuck?â you questioned, taking him in your mouth again before he could answer.
âOh shit,â he groaned as you looked at him through your lashes, âI want that more than anything.â
You took him as far back in your mouth as you could, the gagging feeling around the tip of his cock making his orgasm build quickly. His hand went to your hair, his hips thrusting a little into your mouth.
âIâm gonna cum, baby,â he groaned out, the new nickname making you throb between your legs as his cum started to shoot down your throat. You sucked for a few more seconds, getting ever drop of his release out of him as he started to pull your head away.
You wiped your drool from your mouth and chin with the back of your hand, intently watching him.
âGive me a few minutes, I promise Iâll fuck you,â he laughed, looking down at his half-hard erection.
You took the free time to stand up and slide your panties down before stepping out of them. He watched you sit back down in the loveseat and spread your legs, his attention going to your dripping pussy. You didnât want to overstimulate him to get him hard again, so you decided to put on a little show for him.
Two of your fingers started to rub against you, the feeling of the attention on your aching, needy clit making you gasp. You started to circle it as your whimpers got louder.
âThis is the hottest fucking thing Iâve ever seen,â he groaned, his cock getting harder as he watched you. When you slid your fingers inside of you and started to move them, he turned his attention from your pussy to your eyes. âYou wish those fingers were mine?â
âFuck,â you moaned out, âYes baby, your fingers feel so amazing.â
âWhat about my cock? Do you wish I was pounding into you right now?â he asked, his words bringing you closer to your orgasm.
âYes,â you mewled, as he grabbed the condom he kept from his wallet.
You started to pull your fingers out, desperate to feel him inside of you, before he stopped you, âYouâre so close, baby. I want to see you get yourself off.â
Your fingers started to move faster as your legs started to shake, âThatâs it, baby. Cum for me.â
He rolled the condom on as he watched you hit your peak, your mouth falling open as the beautiful sounds slipped past your lips. Your hand was shaking as you tried to finger yourself through the wave of euphoria, your arousal glistening on your fingers as they slid in and out.
When you started to relax into the sofa and pull your fingers out, Ethan took your hand and sucked your release off your fingers.
âSo fucking good,â he groaned out, looking at you. âDo you think you can cum one more time for me?â
âI think so,â you said, the exhaustion evident in your voice after the strong orgasm.
âItâs okay, Iâll do all the work,â he said, pulling you up by your hand and taking you to the side of the couch. He slid your dress back up around your hips as he bent you over the arm, your face pressing into the cushion as he lined up with your entrance. âWeâve been in here a long time, so Iâll need to be quick. If itâs too much, stop me. Okay?â
âOkay,â you replied, a whimper slipping out as he slid inside you.
His pace picked up quickly, your ass jiggling as the sounds of slapping skin and your moans filled the room. He had your hips angled just right so the tip of his cock hit that spongy spot inside you with every thrust.
âYouâre taking me so well, baby,â he said, his grip on your hips tightening. âIs this pussy mine?â
The previous conversation was giving him confidence that you felt the same way he did, and he wanted to hear you say that you were his so badly.
âYes babe, itâs all yours,â you whimpered, his speed increasing. âItâs always been yours.â
He groaned at your words, close to cumming for the second time of the night. He knew you were close, too, as the pitch of your moans got higher. He was so thankful for the loud music hiding what was going on in the room, because the sounds of your moans and wetness were absolutely filthy as he brought you closer to your high.
He was trying to focus on other things as he kept his pace up, not wanting to cum before you. He started to feel your walls squeezing him, drawing him right back into the moment as you started to shake underneath him.
âIâm gonna,â was all you got out, your voice cracking from all the moaning as the feeling completely washed over you. You soon heard Ethanâs groaning get shaky and the grip on your hips get even tighter as his thrusts started to slow.
âFuck, that was amazing,â he said, looking over your tired, fucked-out body as it stayed bent over.
The handle on the door started to jiggle, the sound making you quickly stand up and search for your panties as Ethan slid his pants back up his hips and hook his belt.
âWhere the fuck are my panties?â you asked, glancing around the floor. You were so dazed from the multiple orgasms that you couldnât find them. Ethan tried to help you look, but it was too late as you heard a key slide into the keyhole. You straightened your dress back out and ran your hand through your hair to tame whatever might be going on with it.
When the door opened, you saw one of the groomsmen standing there.
âSorry, one of his contacts is bothering him. I was trying to help him out,â you lied, as the man smiled and shook his head.
âIâm sure thatâs what was going on. Are those yours?â he asked, pointing out your panties that were sticking out from under the couch. Your face was full of embarrassment and panic as you reached down to pick them up. âHey, Iâm not going to say anything. Itâs none of my business.â
He grabbed a beer out of the mini fridge before walking back out to join the rest of the wedding guests, locking the door before he closed it behind him.
âSince when do I wear contacts?â he asked, laughing at the awkwardness of the interaction.
You slid your dress back up and put your panties on before looking at him. âIt seemed like a good lie in the moment.â
âYou think heâll say anything?â
âHe said he wouldnât,â you sighed, âI really hope he doesnât.â
He started to smile, âYour parents already think thereâs something going on between us. Thatâs just something else youâd have to deny.â
âWhat if I feel like there is something going on between us? More than just a friendship, and more than just sex?â you asked, your eyes meeting his as he leaned in to kiss you.
âI feel the same. If you ever want to give me a chance, let me know,â he said, walking towards the door.
âEthan, come back here,â you said, as he turned around. âYou heard me, come here.â You laughed as scoffed at your demand, but ultimately did what you asked as he stood inches in front of you. âLetâs try this and see if it can work.â
He kissed you in response, lifting you off the floor a little as his hands wrapped around your waist.
âSo, does this mean youâre my girlfriend?â he asked, a goofy grin on his face as he sat you back down.
âYes, nerd,â you joked, taking his hand in yours. âLetâs get back out there. Weâve been gone for at least an hour.â

Eddie Brock x Pregnant Reader Imagines
When you first told him it was almost first thing in the morning and his mind wasnât fully awake and functional yet. He was making breakfast when you told him and it took him a hot second to realize what you said.
âThatâs great honey.â *five seconds later he realizes what you said*
âWait what?!â
Heâs so excited he actually starts to cry as he hugs you. (After he picks you up and spins you once in the air with tears in his eyes) Cause this was his chance! His chance to be the father that his father wasnât! Heâs hugging and kissing you and thanking you for this (writing this makes me wanna cry đ
đ„Č)
Venom already knew all this because this mf slithered under the bathroom door like a little snake and saw your reaction when the test showed positive.
Baby shopping with this man is like showing with a kid during at a toy store. Heâs just so excited and wants everything to be perfect!
One day you went to lunch with Anne (if you befriended her, if not then another friend) Eddie decided to try and build the crib while you were out.
He struggled. Venom asked to help but Eddie first said no. Then he asked Venom for help. Then he called Dan. So now thereâs two grown ass men plus a symbiot sitting in the not yet finished nursery, on the floor trying to build the crib.đ
When Anne (or other friend) and you return to your place you hear three sets of male voices arguing and walk into the nursery to see Eddie sitting crisscross, Dan laying on the floor and Venom in a glob in the corner connected to Eddie by a thread.
You ordered them all out and you and Anne (or bestie) built that crib in less than ten minutes, leaving the men speechless.
He just LOVES your baby bump and talks to it CONSTANTLY.
âHey bud, all ya all nice and comfy in there?â âWhat are ya gonna be buddy?â âYou need to calm down on the kicking kiddo, mama needs her sleep.â
Gets excited whenever your baby kicks or moves.
Gladly goes on grocery/late night runs to get whatever food you crave. (Venom even shares his chocolate)
When your water breaks he LOOKS calm, but inside heâs scared shitless.
Venom grabbed the bag and your stuff in the rush.
Held your hand and encouraged you the entire time. âHey honey Iâm right here okay, youâre doing so good.â
Silently bursts into tears when he heard your babies first cry.
When the doctors came in with your guys baby and handed it to you, Eddie kisses your forehead and just stared in awe at the little bundle of joy that you two created. âWe did it hun, we did it.â
When you asked if he wanted to hold him he was a bit nervous. When he your guys child in his arms he started to cry all over again. He said he loved them promised that nothing bad was going to happen to them.
Eddie invited Venom (with your consent) to come out and see the baby. Venom moved up Eddie arm in his blob form and stared curiously at the child. âItâs so small and chubby.â With a tiny tentacle, he brushed the babyâs cheek and the baby moved against it. âI will protect this little thing with my life and eat whoever harms them.â
You both laughed at this and weâre glad that Venom loves your child.

After you and Minhoâs little moment on the couch that morphed into fucking in his room you crashed hard. When you woke up together the next morning Minho acted completely casual, like it was something the two of you did all the time. You both got up, got dressed and ate breakfast with the guys as if youâd slept over on the couch when everyone knew you hadnât. Just before you left to go home you finally said something to Minho about what had happened.Â
âUh Iâm not crazy right? We did fuck last night correct.â Minho laughed and shook his head.Â
âDid you like it?â You nodded.Â
âBut... well... I donât want things to get weird...â You trailed off. Â
âLook things donât have to be so complicated. Itâs not like weâre married now. Weâre friends that wanted to fuck and so we did. We both liked it, Iâm definitely down to do it again some time if you want to, just donât think so much.â You took a deep breath, a sigh of relief really. You did have fun and you love Minho but you werenât sure if it would ever be more than physical between you. It had the makings to possibly be more but you liked that he was so relaxed about it. It made it easier for you to relax. Â
âSo weâre good yea?â He asked. He wanted to be sure your mind was put at ease. The last thing he wanted was for you to regret what happened.Â
âYea absolutely.â You smiled and Minho felt better seeing it. He leaned in and pecked your lips as if he were giving you a high five.Â
âCool! See ya!â He smiled and waved before he walked back towards his room. You shook your head laughing as you made your way out the door. About a week after your encounter with Minho, Changbin called you to see if you wanted to chill. All the guys were off visiting family for the weekend and he had to be by himself since his family was out of town. He wanted company and you had no plans so you told him youâd be over after work. Â
As soon as you were off you made your way to the guysâ place to meet up with Changbin as promised. You got changed into your lounge wear and curled up on one side of the couch, the same couch that you and Minho had been on only a week before. You tried to shut those memories out while you sat there with Changbin. It didnât' help that he put on the most boring tv show youâd ever seen.Â
âBinnie this is boring change the channel.â He scrunched his face.Â
âI like it I want to know how it ends.â You whined and reached for the remote in his hand.Â
âIt ends when you press the channel button.â He pulled the remote away and just out of your reach.Â
âBINNNN!â You reached further and he pulled it further away bringing up his other arm to help block you. Â
âIf you want to change it so bad then take the remote, itâs just right there.â You narrowed your eyes at him and lunged forward throwing yourself on top of him reaching again. Again Changbin pulled the remote just out of your reach. You were laid across his firm body reaching still. You finally licked his cheek and when he went to wipe it off in disgust you managed to get the remote away from him.Â
âNot fair!â Changbin whined as you changed the channel as he was reaching to get the remote back. You pulled it away just like heâd done to you, putting your arm up in defense.Â
âIf you want to change it so bad then take the remote, itâs right there Changbin.â You said mockingly. Changbin almost growled as he pounced on you pinning you down. The remote fell from your hand to the floor. Changbin hovered above you and you started blushing. He smirked; his eyebrow cocked knowingly. Â
âIf you wanted to be under me, all you had to do was ask princess.â Your jaw dropped and you blushed harder at Changbinâs forwardness. He started to lean down to kiss you and what had happened on that same couch a week before flashed before your eyes. You stopped him.Â
âUh...Changbin?â He froze.Â
âYou want me to stop?â You hesitated. Did you? Changbin was strong and handsome and sweet. There were a few times his figure popped into your mind as you took care of yourself with your vibrator. You didnât think it was fair to him though. Youâd just fucked Minho the week before, you couldnât fuck him too.Â
âI just... I think you should know... well... Minho and I...â You were looking for the right words to not come off as crass, before you could Changbin nodded.Â
âYea, I know. What about it?â Your face contorted.Â
âYou know? What, did Minho run his mouth about what we did? Was you inviting me over here all some scheme to...â Changbin shook his head quickly and sat up.Â
âHey hey no. Look I know about you guys because we all came home that night and heard the two of you fucking and then you came out of Minhoâs room in the morning to have breakfast so it was pretty obvious and I asked you to come over because weâre friends and all the guys are gone and I didnât want to be lonely. We donât have to do anything. Iâm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, we can just watch your show.â He started to get off you and you held onto his shoulders pulling him back down.Â
âWait...â Changbin stopped and a little half smile crept onto his face.Â
âYou donât think it will upset Minho?â You asked. Changbin shook his head.Â
âIs he your boyfriend?â Â
âNo.â Changbin shrugged.Â
âWell then, he doesnât get to be upset about it. Youâre single...â Changbin leaned down and kissed your cheek.Â
âIâm single...â He kissed your neck and you closed your eyes.Â
âAnd if you want it, I want it too.â He grabbed your wrists and pinned you to the couch again grinding his hips into yours, pressing his hard on against your throbbing core. You were so wet already it was almost embarrassing. He hadnât even touched you, his lips hovered over yours.Â
âSo princess...â He got closer still.Â
âDo you want it?â You clenched uncontrollably at his words and gave him a small nod.Â
âUse your words princess, tell me, I wanna hear you say it.â His lips roamed your neck and face but never touched you, as if a force field was stopping Changbin from kissing your body. He stopped when his lips ghosted yours again.Â
âI want it Binnie, want you to fuck me.â He finally kissed your lips as one of his hands trailed down your body, slid inside your yoga pants and traced his fingers through your wet pussy. You let out a little gasp when he pushed two of his fingers inside you.Â
âGotta stretch you a little baby, so you can take me. Donât want to hurt my princess.â He placed sweet kisses on your face as he held your wrists down with one hand and finger fucked you with the other. Once you came on Changbinâs fingers twice he deemed you stretched enough to take him. He sat up and you immediately missed the warmth of his big bulky body near yours.Â
âIâm gonna go grab a condom. Be naked before I get back and Iâll give you something extra special.â He pulled off his shirt, his amazing body on display, winked, and walked off towards his room. Youâd never stripped your clothes off so fast in your life and by the time Changbin was walking back into the living room you were naked and spread out for him. He bit into his knuckle.Â
âFffuck princess, look so pretty like that.â He palmed himself over his pants, rubbing his cock through the material. Â
âYou want it?â He asked again looking down at his hard length in his hand. You looked at him sweetly nodding.Â
âYes Binnie, pleaaase.â He walked towards you sliding his pants and boxers down, walking out of them and you immediately saw why he felt the need to prep you so much.Â
âOh my god!â Changbin smirked.Â
âDonât worry baby itâll fit.â Changbin knelt between your legs stroking his thick cock before opening and rolling the condom down his impressive length. He gripped his cock and started to rub it up and down your drenched folds pressing the tip against your clit and rubbing harder, the feeling amazing for both of you.Â
âIâm gonna stick it in now princess, try and relax.â Changbin eased the tip of his dick inside you. The abundance of your arousal helped him slide in but you still felt the stretch and slight sting as he slowly filled your cunt, pushing deeper. When Changbin was balls deep inside you he grabbed your wrists again and held your arms down above your head. He rolled his hips into you and you moaned out uncontrollably from the feeling of his huge cock inside you.Â
âBin!â He nodded as he gave you another slow roll of his hips.Â
âI know princess hold on for me...â He gently rolled his hips into you again and the stinging finally went away and made way for body numbing pleasure.Â
âFFffuck! Fuck! Oh god itâs so BIG Binnie! Feels so good!â Changbin grunted and thrusted into you a little harder, your arms still held down above you, your legs spread wide for Changbinâs thick frame. Once Changbin was certain he wouldnât hurt you he set a quicker pace, snapping his hips into yours harder each time.Â
âYou take me so well baby... look at that fat cock disappear inside that perfect cunt.â You looked down and almost came at the sight of Changbinâs big dick covered in your juices, pumping in and out of your quivering hole.Â
âLooks good doesnât it princess. You like the way I wreck your pussy donât you.â You nodded you were starting to lose your mind, it all felt so good, and the things he said, the praises he gave, you were so close to exploding, you were certain of it.Â
âHarder! Fuck me harder Binnie!â Changbin pressed your wrists into the couch hard as he slammed his huge cock into you faster and harder.Â
âYou gonna cum for your Binnie? Hmm? You gonna cream on my cock princess?â You nodded babbling nonsense at that point.Â
âCum yes, for you Bin cum, Iâll cum.â He absolutely loved seeing you fucked out and totally wrecked under him while he held you down so helpless and fucked you harder. Your back arched and walls squeezed and hugged Changbinâs cock so hard when you came he struggled pulling out.Â
âCum... ing Iâm fu-fucking cu... uming d-don't s-stop d-don't stop, fucking fucking ruin me Binnie!â Changbin fucked you hard through your orgasm until your legs shook and your body slumped limp on the couch. When your wave of ecstasy dissipated Changbin let go of your wrists, pulled out, and got up quickly, pulling off the condom before standing over your fucked out body and aiming his cock towards your partially open mouth.Â
âOpen wide princess, Iâve got a treat for you.â You opened your eyes enough to see Changbin jerking his huge cock right over your face. You lazily opened your mouth and stuck out your tongue.Â
âFuck thatâs a good girl.â He was sweating, grunting, and pulling on his cock harder and faster, then Changbin gave you his warm load right in your mouth rubbing the last drop of cum on your bottom lip.Â
âMmmmm yes princess, eat up, itâs good isnât it?â You showed him the huge load in your mouth then swallowed it and nodded wiping the last of his cum from your lips and sucking your fingers. You laid there sweaty and fucked out as Changbin caught his breath, pushing his messy wavy hair away from his face, kneeling above you. You looked up at him and gave him a little frown.Â
âWhat is it baby, why the face hmm?â You sat up on your elbows.Â
âYou said youâd give me something extra special.â You pouted. Changbin cooed at you then stood up and flung you over his shoulder, smacking and gripping your ass cheek with one hand and playfully biting the other, making you squeal out laughing.Â

Song: It's Only a Paper Moon - Ella Fitzgerald (totally optional to listen while you read, if you like that sort of thing)
The small plastic bag carrying your lunch swung from your wrist as you pushed the door to the counselorâs office open.
"Thanks again for helping me organize around here," said the woman standing beside you.
"No problem, Ms. Keene!"
By the time you stepped inside, Miles was already sitting at the round table in the middle of the room.
The boy spoke first as soon as your eyes met.
"Hey," he greeted you flatly. His stare wasn't too far off from the look of curiosity you get from a stray cat that isn't certain whether you're trying to give it food or not; neither malicious nor particularly excited.
You tilted your head in surprise.
"Hey, you in trouble or something?"
Miles shook his head.
"Ms. Keene lets me have lunch in here."
"You two know each other?" The tall, dark-skinned woman asked. Though she had asked you both, she beamed at Miles as she spoke. He glanced back and forth between you and the woman.
"Kinda."
She clasped her manicured hands together.Â
"I'm glad you're starting to make friends again. That's progress. Enjoy your lunch," Ms. Keene said as she spun on her heel to leave, her short bob cut bouncing along with her.
"And put on those glasses!"
Miles rolled his eyes as the door shut with a click.
"Everybody's on your case about these glasses, dude. Just put 'em on," you said as you sat down next to him.
"Don't need 'em."
"Okay," you pointed to the analog clock hanging directly across from him, "tell me what time it is without using your phone."
He scoffed.
"Easy, it'sâŠ"
The boy stood, and squinted so hard that his nose scrunched. He heard you laughing through your nose behind him after a minute and soon dropped back down to his seat, hands raised in resignation.
"Alright, you got me. But who's looking at the damn clock all day?"
"Sitting in the back of the classroom with no glasses on is nuts, Miles. What's so bad about them?â
Miles pouted in indignation, "They make me look like Steve Urkel.â
âThey canât be that bad,â you said, grabbing the case from next to him and prying it open. âLemme see.â
âNope.â
âJust this once!â
âNuh-uh.â
âPlease?â
The boy sighed, then took the glasses from you with a wary expression. He looked at them like they were a moldy piece of bread before finally putting them on.
âHappy?â
Neon green color aside, the glasses were truly not that bad. The thick lenses framed his face and made him look younger. The boy blinked, awaiting your verdict.
âAwww, you look like a little nerd!â
âDon't start with that,â Miles shook his head, a grin spreading across his face in spite of himself. He swiped them off of his face and took the case from you.
âItâs not a bad thing,â you said over a bite of your sandwich, âyou look cute in them.â
He froze, a hand instinctively flying up to scratch the nape of his neck before turning his gaze in the other direction. You could still see the impression of his dimples peeking out from the side.
âDonât get a big head over it, now,â you elbowed him gently. He quickly changed the subject.
âIâm finna tell Ms. Keene that youâre distracting me.â
Miles was now hunched over his notebook again. He had his homework sheet covering one page, but you could tell he was sketching. When you tried to look over his shoulder, he frantically shut it closed.
âCan you not be nosy for five minutes?â
âMy fault, bro, damn.â
Miles continued to draw quietly for almost the entirety of calculus, never once allowing you to peek at it. He didnât pause until you lightly tapped his arm.
The boy flinched at the sudden contact, but you had his attention.
âIâm stuck on this problem you wrote, just this one. Help me out?â
He tapped his pen lightly on the desk in consideration. Finally, he shrugged, closing the notebook and sliding it to the side.
âSure.â
You placed the worksheet between you and Miles, where your desks met.
âItâs this one. Iâm not getting the solution you got,â you explained, placing a finger on the offending equation.Â
Miles peered closely at it. His braids nearly brushed the desk as his head moved.
âYou gettinâ it wrong because you forgot to distribute here,â he pointed. âEverything has to distribute.â
You nodded as the gears in your head got to turning again. âThanks.â
-
âMa!â Miles whined as he took his plate of yellow rice and peas from the table.
âIâm just saying! La chica es muy linda, sigues mirĂĄndola. Donât do anything crazy up there, understand?â
You were far from fluent, but the first bit of the brown womanâs sentence made a shy smile grace your features.
âThis looks so good, thanks Mrs. Morales.â you said as you grabbed your own plate, carefully carrying it with both hands.Â
âNo problem, baby,â the woman replied, gently smacking the back of her sonâs head before sending you both upstairs. âSame time as usual.â
âYour momâs nice,â you remarked once you entered Milesâ room.
âYou just sayinâ that âcuz she gassed your head up,â Miles laughed.
âWhatever. Iâm âbout to fuck this plate up!â
âNot on my bed, I hope.â
The boy gave you a warning glance.
âRelax, you see me sitting?âÂ
You blew on a spoonful of rice before trying it, and the flavor nearly made your eyes pop out of your skull.
âYour momma went crazy in that kitchen.â
âM-hm,â was all Miles could reply as he shoveled the rice into his mouth, already halfway through the plate.
Soon both of your plates had been scraped clean, and you started working after taking the dirty dishes downstairs to wash. All three calculus problems had been completed, but a small squabble broke out over the appearance of the slideshow that Miles had put together.
âIt looks so boring,â you complained. âAt least make the background a different colorââ
âUh-unh, you gonâ make it hard as fuck to read. I say we keep it simple,â the boy swatted your hand away from the keyboard.
âMake the title dark magenta, and you got a deal.â
He sighed, âFine. Itâs legible, I guess.â
It was still only 7:30 by the time the project was finished, and you didnât feel like leaving behind the warmth of Milesâ home just yet.
âCan you play some music?âÂ
Miles spun around in his swivel chair.
âWhat kind?â
âI dunno, whatever you listen to,â you tilted your head at him quizzically. âWhat do you listen to?â
âUm,â He reached into a drawer and pulled out a small Bluetooth speaker, setting it on his desk. âJustâŠwhatever I feel like. Lots of stuff.â
He carefully laid down on his bed next to you, making sure to maintain at least a few inches of distance.
Old jazz music began to float through the air.
âYou like Ella?â
âYeah,â he said at a near-whisper. â...I do now. Forgot what this song was called.â
ââItâs Only A Paper Moon,ââ you answered. âFrom âThe War Yearsâ. Beautiful record.â
Miles snuck a glance at the side of your face while you stared up at the ceiling. He liked the dreamy, far-off way youâd said the title.
âYou sound old as fuck right now,â he commented. âRecordâŠâ
This made you burst into laughter, and Miles decided that he didnât mind that sound, either.
âMy momma always calls âem ârecordsâ, so I picked up the habit.â
âI like how you talk.â
You finally turned your head and met the boyâs eyes. The small grin playing on his face wasnât a teasing one.
ââHow I talk?ââ
âWhen youâre not grilling me with questions like a cop? Yeah, itâs nice.â
Not sure what to do with this new information, you turn your gaze back up to the ceiling.
âYouâre a strange one, Miles,â was all you could say.
There was a brief pause before you asked,âWhat did you mean by ânowâ?â
Miles raised an eyebrow. âWhatâd I say about complete sentences?â
âSorry,â you rolled your eyes. âYou said you liked this song now, you didnât like it before?â
He was silent for a good, long, ten seconds before answering.
âI used to not be super into jazz. Dad used to play that shit on the radio, driving me to school. I hated having to hear it the entire ride,â he laughed. âI know heâs somewhere making fun of my ass now.â
You hummed in acknowledgement, wondering if you should offer comforting words, or your condolences. Knowing Miles â at least a little â you decided against it.
âI used to listen to Ella songs when the house got too loud, or while I was eating lunch.â
âThey let you listen to music down there?â
âNah, I was eating upstairs with the English teacher after she saw me sitting by myself.â
âYou still sit by yourself?â
Shaking your head, you answered, âI usually sit with Tianna, sheâs usually my calc partner. This weekâs kind of an exception.â
âSo if it wasnât for her, I woulda finished this shit three days ago,â he joked.
You placed your hand over your heart and gasped dramatically. âYou mean you donât enjoy being graced by my presence?â
âHm,â Miles conceded, âI enjoy it a little.â
âIs this your way of saying we besties now?â
âWhoah, never mind. You killed the moment.â
âThat was a moment?â
âNope, forget everything I just said.â
-
Fun trivia since we're almost at the end: what book do you think Miles and the MC are reading in English class? There's no prize for answering but i'll be really excited about it. Thanks again for reading!

You were against a wall bent against the bed, gagged by muzan's fingers, his claws about to pierce your thighs at any moment. His pace was fast and wasn't planning on slowing down. He slammed his hips against you over and over again until the sound of slapping registered in your mind until it went num. "Don't fall asleep on me whore"
He kept slapping your ass leaving harsh red prints in his wake. He was too pussy drunk to care about your orgasms. You've had five at this point. Blind With Rage
Description: Whilst you've handled witness interviews alone before, as part of your work at Nelson and Murdock, you know that Matt's always close by and all-too ready to step in if you ever need him.
A/N: He protect. He attack. He is a snack đ
...
Warnings: Angst, mentions of violence, mentions of crime, swearing, Matt being a full-on protective baby XD
Masterlist
Being a lawyer, you were used to visiting clients in rough places. Prisons, holding cells in local stations, and even crime scenes - youâd been to them all.Â
Even with a vigilante for a boyfriend, and rather unorthodox client base, there wasnât much that could surprise you. Working at Nelson and Murdock, Attorneys at Law, had pretty much ensured it.Â
Still, this morningâs meeting had gone pear shaped and youâd barely seen it coming.Â
Youâd only been sat with a possible witness for you latest clientâs case for about five minutes, before it had happened. Matt had been running late at the time and Foggy was out of the room, talking to officers in the corridor, leaving you alone with the man opposite you - which was totally fine. After all, you'd handled witness statements alone before and it wasn't like there wasn't a dozen officers in the building with you if anything did go wrong.Â
Also, you only had a couple questions that needed to be asked before you could go back about your merry way and possibly swipe a quick lunch on your route back to the office. If anything, you were more concerned about your choice of sandwich than the petty thief sat on the other side of the table.
He'd so far been cooperative, corroborating your clientâs story that he had been nowhere near the crime scene when the crime had occurred. Picked up by police after a failed pickpocketing, the man opposite had apparently been near the scene of the crime and confirmed your client was nowhere to be seen. In fact, he was pretty quick to tell you who was around when the crime had occurred and just who he thought might have done it.
"Thanks, Mr Jerome," youâd nodded, scribbling the last of your notes on the yellow legal pad in front of you. "You've been incredibly helpful. My client will really appreciate your testimony."
"Anytime, sugar."
Yep. That was it; That was the moment when things took a turn for the worst.Â
You could see it now, playing back in your mind in slow motion⊠the way heâd followed the nickname with a rather crass compliment about how you were looking that day.Â
His eyes then dropped, roaming up and down your body in a way that just made you feel dirty without even being touched.Â
And when youâd told him to stop? That the meeting was done? Heâd lunged.Â
Of course, he hadnât got very far - his handcuffs attached to the table made sure of that. Still, you'd be lying if you said you hadn't jumped at the sudden movement.
You flinched, opening your mouth to say something. However, you never got the chance as the door slammed open behind you with an almighty bang. It was then that you saw who was responsible for the sudden interruption as Matt Murdock came racing into the room so fast it made your head spin.
Wait, when had he got here?
You blinked, staring up at your partner with shock as he reached over and pulled your chair back with a harsh screech, cutting you off from protesting. You could see the fury rolling off of him in waves and for a moment you couldn't be sure it wasn't directed at you.
Thankfully, the source of his rage became clear as he positioned himself in front of you, his focus never leaving the man sat on the other side of the table. He had created a literal human-shield between you, a silent challenge against your would-be assailant.
Without a word, his hand reached backwards, hauling you to your feet and frogmarching you from the room. His grip was ironclad.
"Matt."
"Y/N, don't."
"Wait, Matt," you barked, "Let go of me, I had it under control-"
"-Of course you did, Sweetheart. Wait here," he ordered, his tone lethal as he addressed the police officer waiting for you both in the hall. It was clear you weren't going to be allowed anywhere near that room again and that he was holding this poor officer responsible for ensuring that was the case.
A sudden urge to argue roared up from inside of you, but you bit your tongue as Matt released you. You didn't need to ask if he was ok. It was clear he wasn't from the concerned pull of his brow. If you didn't know any better, you'd have said he was actually worried about you.
"I'll be back in a minute. Mr Jerome and I need to have a quick word - stay here with Foggy."
You weren't entirely sure if talking was actually Matt's plan, given the way his hands were clenched at his side. Still, no one made a move to stop him as he marched back into the room you'd just come from, slamming the door behind him hard enough to make the two-way glass rattle.
He'd always had a flair for the dramatic.
"Wow."
Wow indeed, you thought, staring across the room at Foggy. The fact the other lawyer looked like he was trying not to laugh made it clear what he thought about the entire exchange.
"Whatever sassy joke you're about to make, Nelson, just don't," you grumbled, your cheeks burning in embarrassment.
âI wasn't going to make a joke,â Foggy scoffed, his shit-eating grin only growing as Matt's furious voice echoed from the other side of the wall.
"-You feel like a tough guy, huh? Picking on other people? You utter piece of sh-"
The both of you winced at the sudden flurry of colourful expletives.
âI mean, Iâm sure Matt would have thrown himself just as chivalrously in front of me if some sleazy douchebag made a gross comment about me.âÂ
You eyes were rolling before he even finished the sentence. âFoggy? Shut the hell up.â

Okay hear me out: what about rubenâs girlfriend losing her memory temporarily, and ruben literally leaves everything to take care of her. He asks some time away from football to help her on her recovery journey, and he would make her one of his usual breakfasts, full of nutrients and he would help her exercice slowly and would help her remember little things at a time, and he would just do everything for her well being đ„ș
THIS IS THE ONE, MY 100TH RUBEN FIC! đ„łđ„łâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łâ€ïžđ„łâ€ïžđ„łâ€ïžđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż

. But in honor of my 100th Ruben Dias fic I have written a 8 part series based on this request. Hope you enjoy!
Ruben Dias x Reader - Remember You and Me Part 1/8
Enjoy!
You slowly opened your eyes, groggily taking in your surroundings. You were in a hospital room, surrounded by your family and a man you had never seen before. The man, who you assumed was a nurse, was holding your hand and smiling at you.
"Hello, honey. Welcome back" your mother said warmly.
"What's going on." You grunted. The pain hit you all at once as you tried to sit up.
"What hurts the most?" Your mother was quick to pat you down, not wanting you to over extend yourself.
"My neck." You said and reached up to touch the brace that covered your throat.
"The doctors say you have to wear it for a couple of weeks. You were in a terrible car accident that almost left you paralyzied head down."
"What?" You tried to sit up again but squirmed as the pain hit.
"Careful." Said the male nurse, still holding your hand in his. "I know this isn't easy for you to hear Y/N," He said. "but the truth is that you've been in a coma for the last four days. You've had multiple injuries on your spine, ribs and if it wasn't for the doctors deciding to put you in a sedative state your brain would still be swelling."
Your brain swelled with all the information you were given. "I want to go home." You said. You hated the smell of hospitals and always have.
"I know honey, I know." Your mom stroked your head. "But I'm afraid it won't be that easy."
"Why not?" You looked around the room, meeting the faces of your family. They all carried the same expression of sadness and concern for you.
"What's going on?" You said through the tubes plugged in your nose.
"Honey..." Your mother tried to break it to you easily. "You don't live with us anymore, you haven't done so in the past five years."
"Um, what?"
"Honey, what is your last memory? How old do you think you are?"
"Mom what are you...I'm nineteen years old and I live with you, dad and Eddie. Why are you asking me these stupid questions? Why am I in the hospital, what happened to me?"
You were getting quite worked up, however your mother was patient. "Y/N, the doctors suspect a temporary memory loss as a result of your severe head trauma. You are not nineteen years old but twenty four years old. And you don't live with your father and I, you live in England with your husband, Ruben."
Your mother pointed to the nurse standing next to your bed, his hand still intertwined with yours.
"My what?" Your eyes widened in confusion. Husband? You had no memory of getting married. In fact, you had no memory of anything that had happened since you were a teenager. "What do you mean?" You asked, voice shaking. "I don't remember getting married."
The nurse smile faltered for a moment, but then he took a deep breath and explained. "You were in a terrible car accident a few days ago. And in a coma ever since this morning, when you finally woke up, not remembering anything. We've been trying to help you remember, but it's been a slow process."
Your mind was reeling. You had no memory of your childhood, your friends, your job, or anything else. It was as if your entire life had been erased.
"Mommy." You cried, letting go of the nurse/your husband's hand. "I want to go home, take me home right now."
"I know sweetie, I know." She brought you in for a hug, a tight and safe mommy hug. "The doctors say that your memory loss is only temporary, that it will come to you naturally as you go on with your daily life."
"Okay, so I'm free to leave the hospital then?"
"Yes, the sooner the better. However you have to leave with Ruben not us."
"What? I can't go live with him, he's a stranger I don't even know him."
The man's eyes widened in suprise, his expression unreadable.
"Yes, you do honey." Your mother was determined. "Ruben is your husband and you must stay with him. We will be here through your recovery, every step of the way. But for your memory to return to you naturally you must go back to living your old life, the life you spent together with Ruben, your husband."

i will take literally any dad travis kelce or dad patrick mahomes imagine
a/n: dad Travis is such a popular request in my inbox nglđ
(not mad about it I love it)
her little chubby legs carried her small body to Travis, the white sheet of paper with scribble marks all over it proudly wiped back and forth in her grip. she jumped into his lap on the couch hiding the picture behind her back, âwhat did you make me baby girl?â he asked, she bit her bottom lip with her baby teeth, eyes growing bigger in excitement revealing the white sheet of paper with pink, blue, red, and yellow scribbles all over.
âyou like it?!â she giggled, he took the paper out of her hands gasping at the lines, circles, and squiggles that were nothing to him, but to her it was something. of course he loved it, the fridge was decorated in every picture she made him.
âI love it! why donât you go hand it to mommy to put on the fridge?â the words barely left his mouth before she took off from his lap, rushing into the kitchen where you sat eating lunch. you heard her screaming your name as she whipped around the corner.
âanother one?! we are going to have to get a whole other fridge to display your art!â you got up from your seat at the table, taking the paper in your hands, searching for an empty spot on the fridge that wasnât already occupied with scribbles.
âhow about right here?â you asked her, positioning it below the picture of her and Travis on the fridge at career day. she was proud that day to tell everyone in her kindergarten class her dad played for the chiefs.
âyes!â she nodded, jumping up and down watching you grab a magnet to secure its spot. you stepped away slightly shaking your head at the sight of your fridge. you couldnât believe what your life had become in the matter of five years.
âsay thank you, mommy.â Travis appeared in the kitchen, he swooped his daughter into his arms, her eyes meeting yours at the same level.
âthank you, mommy!â she gave you a big semi toothless grin before Travis carried off her to their imaginary tea party. it made you chuckle that the big bad tight end secretly wore pink skirts, tiaras, and played Barbieâs. thatâs just how much he loved his daughter.
