Revenge is a dish best served with love; Spider and So’lek found family
I’ve been bothering @dirtytransmasc about it all day and I can’t stop 😭 there is such a strong potential for a story between these two if they were to ever cross paths!
It could go so many ways, but I see Jake giving Spider away to him as one of the possibilities. He does it under the guise of giving Spider training necessary to keep up with the Na’vi, so he could help out the insurgency but in reality, he bribed So’lek into taking Spider under his wing with the opportunity for revenge. And we know So’lek loves nothing more than revenge.
What better way to make Miles Quaritch himself roll in his grave than to mould his biological son into a sky people killing machine?
So the two set off for the western frontier and Spider begins his lessons in survival, as well as combat. He gets to see the man behind the legend and the truth is — the man is barely there. His mind is always partly consumed by violence; thoughts too dark for the boy to imagine. He also sees that So’lek lacks emotion in anything unrelated to war, and is a man of a few words unless discussing tactics. He’d heard that this Na’vi lost his entire clan in the battle of the tree of souls, but seeing the consequences of that event up close was different from being told about it. Trauma defined him.
They reach the clouded forest, and So’lek begins to teach the boy ways of battle. He is just patient enough for Spider to catch things on the fly but as usual, offers little empathy if he struggles or smalltalk when they’re out of combat.
So’lek’s "hunts" are the worst part. They happen rarely as Socorro is not dubbed to be ready for that yet, but he is often taken along to be taught by example. He gets to watch as something like an unsuspecting convoy of RDA grunts falls victim to what they call, among other things, "blue death". He sees them scream and shake in pure terror of a creature they clearly knew, sees how little of a chance they stand against a seasoned warrior as he moves like a silent shadow and takes the sky people out one by one. Swiftly, yet brutally. He calls those outings "hunts" for a reason.
And the way he speaks of sky people makes something in Spider’s spine shudder. The man speaks of them as game, seemingly forgetting that the student who’s intelligence and strength he often praises is still a sky person himself — not in spirit, but in body.
Socorro isn’t sure about this ordeal anymore. The more he finds out about the legendary warrior…the less he wants to follow in his footsteps. Protecting the people has always been something he wished to be useful in, and he loved the Na’vi, loved Pandora, his one and only home…but he can’t let himself become anything like So’lek. The way he sees it, killing should be performed mindfully. Spider hates the idea that taking a life, no matter what life, maybe become second nature to him. A reflex.
Killing should not ever be so easy.
On the other end of the line is So’lek himself. He never thought that taking in a child, even as just a temporary ward, would be so difficult. For the first time in fifteen years he has to feel again, and he hates it. Socorro makes him feel out of control, makes him feel frustrated, confused, tired, amused, alive.
With how stressed Jake sounded when he offered to give him the boy, So’lek assumed Spider was a danger; a nantang disguised as a harmless yerik, but the longer he waited the more he realised that said nantang was nowhere in sight. Not to say that Spider was a yerik either. If anything, the child strongly resembled a playful syaksyuk (prolemuris).
Spider, as any other kid his age, hungers for adventure, for freedom and fun. Even with all the respect he held for So’lek, he was a difficult boy to reel in and keep in line. He was constantly busy with something, be it a crafting project for their base (which, since he appeared, more and more resembled a home), exploring the wilderness or collecting something. Most often rocks or herbs.
His smile is so bright, So’lek feels blinded by it every time.
…no. This isn’t right. This isn’t how it was supposed to go, the man catches himself think. He was supposed to "steer Socorro in the right direction", as Jake had put it yet as weeks passed, his resolve melted into something he haven’t felt for years. Could it be…?
No. So’lek was absolutely not getting attached to the child in his care. He couldn’t. He was a sky person; a son to the demon.
But, he was so different from anything So’lek has encountered. There was fire in his honey eyes, but it burned with desire to protect, not hurt. He had an impressive muscle mass, but used it for climbing and weaving only. He made each kill matter, praying for every fallen thing even as So’lek hurried him to skin the meat before it got shrouded. Everything about nature fascinated, awed him, so he thirsted to learn of this new forest and every creature living within it.
Spider could speak of his home for hours. About the animals, the different plants, the remedies one could craft from them, and eventually, as always, he’d speak of his family. His precious siblings he’d raise hell to protect. He loves them more than anything because they are all he has in this entire world, no parental figure in sight. So’lek fights down the urge to hold a child he sees himself in when he hears it.
Spider…has subverted every possible expectation So’lek had of him. So pure and naive and filled with hope in spite of what he has already lost, and the dangers surrounding him…
And So’lek planned to break him. Take all of it away and turn him into a cold-blooded soldier. No more then a weapon for the Na’vi to wield.
What in Eywa’s name was he thinking?
So’lek wants to return Spider to high camp and forget about the deal, but it’s too late. He felt his wards crumble as the human he thought he needed to fear nestled deep within his heart, and now they were bound. He looked at the tiny thing sleeping in a hammock far too big for him. Then at the walls, now painted with images of animals and insects; painted the Omatikaya way. He then turned to the floors, now covered in mats Socorro weaved in his free time.
He made this place a home. Put so much effort with both his skill and voice. He brought So’lek’s base alive. Brought alive him even. It is only fair that So’lek puts in the effort to make this a home for the boy as well.
Just for fairness sake, he thought, tucking the child in as a smile tugged at his lips.
He wasn’t getting attached.
Not at all.

The sparklers, fireworks. Aries moons are in my top 3 fav moons signs, i adore them. These people are spontaneous and so so fun. If you wanna travel to a different country impulsively or do something really spontaneous these are your people to go to. They can have a reputation for being perhaps a bit stubborn or hot headed. But here’s the thing. These people are unbelievably passionate, so they can be reactive (within varying degrees) when they feel they aren’t being heard or taken seriously. Not every aries moon is unable to regulate their own emotions. The aries moons i’ve met personally have such a love for living and experiencing new things. It’s like the most childlike thing i’ve noticed about them is their sense of wonder. They are the explorers and wanderers. They can be slightly rebellious in terms of their curiosity. Aries moons have such an amazing way of taking you out of your head. They’re like come on let’s go. They help people live in the moment. Aries moons never take a moment for granted, they have such a untouchable appreciation for experiences. Aries moons are also very riveting to talk to. Their expressions and gestures are so fascinating. They get so lost in their words, they can’t control how they express this passion. Aries moons are accepting, the things you think make you weird, they love. They have a way of making people let loose and just be themselves. These people value authenticity, it’s extremely important to them. They can see fake so easily. They can be in the worst situation and they’ll see a way out. They can be sensitive in regards to their passions or the people they love. So if an aries moon is talking about something they love please don’t sigh or rush them. So why are aries moons expressive? Well aries moons sort of have to express themselves. The reason for this is because they can have boiling point moments if they don’t. This is usually triggered if they feel dismissed or belittled. The worst thing you can do is dismiss an aries moon. These people are LOYAL. This is specifically in terms of friendship. They will defend you in any situation. They’ll be at the rescue if you’re in danger or you need help. This is not an easy moon placement to have. But as the aries moon gets older, they usually learn to channel their (varying) explosiveness towards something they’re passionate about. They just feel so intensely. I would say aries moons are in the top 3 most intense feeling moons. Aries moons don’t hold grudges. It doesn’t mean they’ll keep you around no matter what you do. However, they move on emotionally. They don’t feel the need to wallow and pity themselves. They also don’t feel the need to waste their time being resentful, they see resentment as self destructive and a waste of time. Aries moons value independence. If you are trying to attract an aries moon, avoid being clingy or suffocating. Gemini moons are known to be crackheads or bubbly people etc. But i want to dig and see what else there is beyond their exterior. These people are very mentally stimulating, their conversations are always so interesting. I never get bored talking to a gemini moon. They are fun to be around, they make people feel more childlike. They also have a reputation for being childish. But i think it’s important to establish the difference between childlike and childish. They have an uninhibited sense of wonder about anything and everyone. Their mind works on overdrive. They like to knows lots of facts about random things. Libra moons. So sweet. So soft. So- hold on. ahaha I'm going to try to include every libra moon because I feel like they can have a very generalised reputation. I've seen posts here and there about libra moons being catty or 2 faced. Honestly it's ridiculous, so i'm going to debunk this. To me there are 2 categories of libra moons. The libra moons who avoid confrontation at all costs and the libra moons who face it head on ahaha. This could surprise you because whenever you search libra, diplomatic, mediators are the terms you see. People are multi faceted. Just like I wouldn't say all virgo moons are critical, I wouldn't say libra moons are all diplomats. I think the reason why libra moons have a people pleasing reputation, is because they like people to feel comfortable around them and sometimes this can come off as perhaps a bit fabricated. Libra moons are idealists, they like to imagine outcomes and scenarios. I would even say they're dreamers. They love to imagine romantic scenarios, yeah i'm exposing you ahaha. Every libra moon i've spoken to has a romantic fantasy, whether it's sexual or about a specific partner they want. Libra moons value respect. Disrespecting or being condescending towards a libra moon is probably the worst thing you could do. An unhealthy libra moon likes to cause chaos in varying degrees, i'm not judging we all have shadow sides. Sometimes it can be hard for them to get to know themselves, they have to rummage and separate themselves from the external. They can get lost in their feelings. Their feelings can seem like a weapon out to get them. Most of these people have a hard exterior, you can’t see they feel so much. This is a protective mechanism, because they learned early on that exposing such parts of yourself can be used against you. People can see their facade as weakness, but scorpio 🌛 are far from it. These people are investigators so they’ll dig and probe until they reach the point of discovery. Of course i’m going to mention the obsessive aspect of their personality. When they really like someone, not just romantically but in general they become obsessive. Let me explain why. Their obsessive behaviour links to their abandonment issues. It’s not a i want to control you obsession, but it’s please stay obsessiveness. Control or power dynamics could have been prevalent in childhood, hence the obsession. This can overwhelm people. But it’s not anything to be ashamed of. They like anything to stimulate their senses, so you'll probably find a sag moon who's a candle or incense enthusiast. They are go getters. They don't wait for the moment, they are the moment. They can be futuristic thinkers, but they don't usually let the future stifle them. The unknown thrills them. A healthy sag moon has a balanced awareness of the present and future. I'm mentioning this because an unhealthy sag moon disregards the future as a faraway moment and can make reckless decisions because of this. Not every capricorn moon, but a lot of them, have dealt with a cold adult figure growing up. we meet again. You already know how I feel about you. I think aqua moons are the most misunderstood out of the moon signs, like ridiculously stereotyped. So being an aqua moon lover, i'm going to debunk the stupidity i've seen and i'm going to talk about them in depth. Aquarius moons are known to be, I guess, weird or detached. Here's what i'll say. I see these people as highly intelligent, they are bigger picture thinkers, hence why their ideas can seem somewhat abstract or far fetched. They think about the possibilities of reality and the multiple outcomes. Yes they can indulge in conspiracy from time to time. They have an absolutely amazing ability to link patterns, it's something i've noticed. In conversations i'll notice them mentally making links, it's so endearing. This is turning into a love letter and i'm not going to apologise for it ahaha. Anyway going on from my point. These people can take a point from one topic and draw a point from another topic and relate them. It's so specific, but does this make sense? They are so intellectually stimulating. I just can't get enough of their brain. They are iconoclasts and they never take things at face value. They will come to their own conclusions despite what anyone else is saying. They walk away from the crowd and dig their own path. They aren't afraid to disregard deep rooted structures to pursue their own belief system. To me they're simply fascinating and they are so so unique. This is why i hate them being described as weird because they are far from it. Weird is such a shallow way to describe them. Iconoclast, visionary, so on and so on. Much better. Perhaps even eclectic. They have no desire to find a way to make themselves fit in, they just don't bother because they don't need to. They don't care about how they're viewed because they know themselves and that's enough. They don't care for approval. However, i will say these people are human (contrary to popular belief) so during their teens years, being outcasted or unseen can bother them, which can result in reckless behaviour. But this placement ages so nicely. Once they accept themselves, instead of trying to fit the common narrative, they become so powerful. They can take down structures. They are so intelligent. I just love this about them so much. I can go on about this forever ahaha. My next point. The aquarius moons have a no feelings stereotype, this is frankly ridiculous. The reason why they can seem detached is because they don't see a reason to open up to you. If they want to open up, they do. And let me tell you, when they do reveal their emotions, they become even more interesting, even more complex. They can also seem detached because they see their emotions as a puzzle to solve. This can cause them to become observers of their own emotions, instead of actually feeling them. Being an observer is a great trait, but in moderation. A healthy aqua moon has a balance of both feeling and observing. What i love about these people is how they don't hold themselves to societal standards, they understand everyone has their own pace and purpose. I've never had more deep and intellectually stimulating conversations than with an aqua moon. They are simply- no complexly amazing.

Here's the thing, these people are empathetic, but they're not dumb. If you try to manipulate their empathy, they aren't afraid to cut ties. Setting boundaries is a lesson for these people to learn and it doesn't come naturally, it's usually learned the hard way. They are usually artistic is some way. If not literally, then their imagination is boundless. They can visualise and create pictures in their mind. These people are usually easily able to astral travel too, so please be careful if you attempt this. They are very receptive to people's emotions, so over time they tend to limit social interaction to conserve their energy. They, just like libra moons, like to imagine scenarios before bed. Yes i'm exposing you ahaha. They like to imagine there's more than what is. You think what is, they think what is possible? Unhealthy pisces moons live in their imagination to escape reality, or use creative vices such as reading etc as an escape. This of course isn't an issue, unless it starts to become a crutch or a hinderance within day to day existence. They are such genuine individuals and they have such positive intentions. Their rose coloured glasses can get in the way sometimes, so a balance of idealism and realism is so important for these people.
I wanted to mention timothee chalamet quickly because I recently watched Dune ahaha. He's a great example of piscean empathy being utilised to his advantage. I mean his acting is impeccable. I always wondered why until I discovered he's a pisces moon and it made so much sense. He has a delicacy about him, despite his saturian placements. This leads onto my next point. These people have a very vulnerable delicacy about them. Unhealthy pisces moons will use this to their advantage to manpiulate. But the healthy pisces moons will embrace this quality instead of seeing it as their hamartia. Their delicacy does not equate to weakness. It takes so much power to be delicate, because vulnerability is powerful. These people are also absorbed in their own bubble ahaha. You’ll be rambling on and they’re on a different planet mentally. I love this about them. I always wonder what they’re thinking about. A lot of these people need loads of sleep to be functioning optimally, but some of them have great difficulty sleeping. It’s a catch 22 sort of situation. These people can also be lucid dreamers. They have a great understanding of people and they make people feel so understood. It’s like you don’t have to explain anything, they just get it. They are very observant, more so because of their empathy. They can feel what you feel, so they often feel changes around other people. They can feel sudden changes in their emotions when they’re around people. A lot of these people have hidden psychic abilities not necessarily how people understand the definition of psychic, but i’m sure you know what i mean. Their eyes are so dreamy. It’s like you can see what they see when you look at them. There’s a whole dreamscape in their eyes. These people are so beautiful, raw, genuine and so real. People like them are hard to come by these days.

So like this is my first post and I’m not really sure what to do so I’m just going to do a one-shot (｡•́‿•̀｡)
So tho one-shot is you telling Ukai you’re pregnant, his reaction, and the teams reaction. You and Ukai are already engaged and neither of you have even thought about kids before.
“Keishin?” You say when you hear the front door open. “Hey, how are you?” He says after he finds you in the kitchen and he bends down to kiss your cheek.
You softly smile to yourself but it fades as soon as you remember what you have to tell him. You told yourself that you were finally going to tell him. It’s been about two weeks since you found out you were pregnant and you were scared. You know the Keshin would never leave you for a reason like this but you still couldn’t help but worry.
“Y/n?” You hear your fiancé. “Yes?” You ask him. “Are you alright?” he asks, concern written all over his face. “Oh uh yeah.” You brush off your earlier thoughts. Although he doesn’t seem to believe you entirely her still trusts you. “Ok love, Im going to go shower.” He kisses you one more time and leaves the room.
Once he leaves the room you let out a big sigh. How were you supposed to tell him he is going to be a dad? You hear the water start running and decide to start dinner.
You finish up dinner and you feel your fiancé’s arms around your waist. You giggle and turn around to hug him. “I love you.” He says. “I love you too.” You say smiling big. You and your fiancé walk to the table and sit down.
You start to think about what you have to tell him. You got nervous and Ukai took notice.
“Are you ok baby?” He asks putting his hand on yours. “Keishin I haven’t been honest with you.” You admit. He looks confused and then a bit worried. “About what?” He asks. You excuse yourself from the table to grab something. When you get back to the table you set it down in front of your future husband.
“Y/n? What is this?” He asks picking up the pregnancy tests you took. “I-i’m pregnant Keishin.” You say your voice hiccuping.
He looks at the tests and then back at you. Slowly he stands up and walks to your shared room. Assuming the worst you start to tear up. After a minute you are quietly sobbing as you hear your fiancé walk back out of the room.
He smiles and hugs you as tight as he can surprising you. “You’re not mad?” You ask. “Why would I be mad? The love of my life is carrying my baby.” He says into your neck. You start crying tears of happiness. He sets you down and you guys finish eating dinner.

Keishin had to miss practice today because you had your first doctors appointment. He cried a little the second he heard your baby’s heart beat. You giggled and the nurse smiled at the scene.
The next day Ukai had come to you and complained about how the volleyball team was giving him shit for missing practice. Mainly Hinata, Nishinoya, and Tanaka.
“You should tell them Keishin.” You say brushing you fingers through his hair. “Maybe, but they’ve also never met you. They are going to ask a lot of questions.” He says looking up at you. “That’s ok, they’re going to have to know anyways.” You say hugging your lover. “Why?” He asks. “Other appointments and you’ll have to explain why you’re not at practice when I’m in labor.” You say. “I’ll tell them.” He hugs you tighter.

“Ok boys. I have an announcement.” Ukai says. The whole team focuses on him. “My fiancé is-” he is cut off by Nishinoya who yells: “YOU HAVE A FIANCÉ?????”
Ukai looks annoyed and tells him to sit. “Yes, I have a fiancé. She’s also pregnant so there will be some times where I’m not going to be here because of that.” He announces. “You’re going to have a kid?” Hinata asks. “Yes.” Ukai answers. Ukai hears many congratulations before he ends the practice.
“So y/n is pregnant, huh?” Takeda asks. “Yeah.” Ukai answers, smiling.
AHHHHHH I can’t tell if this is good or not 😭😭😭😭 but I really hope you like it because I’m not much of a writer byeeeee

im rewatching obx and i forgot how fucking tragic Rafe’s character actually is like its breaking my heart😭😭😭
100% 😭 once you realize rafe carries around a lot of pain and secretly hates himself… ouch… under the cut because this became an ESSAY exploring rafe’s trauma
ok i always think about how we haven’t learned what happened to his mom. rafe is the eldest sibling and the loss probably hit him worst of all because being older, he’d remember more. and why do i think he was a mama’s boy? his heart shattered when he lost her and never came back together. hate that my mind goes there but what if he witnessed her passing away and that’s why he’s so broken :(
and his dad is always expressing how disappointed he is in rafe and how much he clearly favors sarah... so detrimental to rafe’s self-worth and mental wellbeing. on top of that, he sees his dad do horrible things, which tells him it’s okay and acceptable. ffs his dad wakes him up in the middle of the night to help him dispose of a body… it’s because of shit like this that rafe is so desensitized to violence.
and when rose tells ward there’s something wrong with rafe and has been since he was ten? ward disregards this and it just shows how rafe’s constantly dealing with consequences of nobody caring about him enough :(
and when rafe tells his dad he’s scared because he has intrusive thoughts and he doesn’t think he can control them. he’s afraid of what might happen. a VERY blatant cry for help. one that could have helped him had it been listened to. but ward tells him to ‘man up’. tells that to his son who could have a severe mental illness. rafe is seen later on telling himself to ‘man up’ when ward turns violent on him, saying ‘i suck. man up’ :( he’s internalised the way ward treats him and it’s turned into a form of self loathing. i think that’s why he is so obsessed with acting like he’s above the pogues. he needs to lie to himself that he’s worth something, even if it’s just because he’s wealthy
rafe has a conscience. he shows remorse for the things he does. he knows deep down they’re wrong and that he’s struggling with thoughts he can’t control. HONESTLY with help, therapy, love, and at least someone in his corner, there is so much hope for rafe being a good, happy person :(

“One whisky, neat, please.” You slide your card across the bar table as you settle onto the barstool. The case which the team had been attending to wasn’t the worst you had seen, but having been assigned to the precinct had you spending the most time with the family of the victim, and by the very nature, resulted in you seeing the most of their pain, which always made it worse.
You nod a thanks to the bartender who slides your drink and card back across to you. Swirling the liquid around in the glass, you put it to your lips, tipping it back, letting the woody burn slide down your throat. It offers you momentary relief, and for the first time in days you let your shoulders sag with relief as you exhale deeply.
“I’ve got something else that you could knock back down that throat of yours baby.”
Your eyes fly open, a deep frown sliding onto your features and you come face to face with a tall middle aged man, leering openly at you. He smells like a distillery.
“Excuse me?” Your voice is clipped, a scowl on your features as you notice his gaze darting down the v neck of your blouse. It makes you pull your jacket tighter around you, belly clenching in disgust.
“I said,” he leans forward, the alcohol on his breath an assault to your sense of smell, “I’ve got something else that your pretty throat would be good for.”
He steps closer, rolling his hips in your direction and you feel white, hot rage bubble inside of you. This was the last thing you needed tonight.
“Get. Lost.” You turn away from the man, training your gaze on the bottles behind the bar as you take another swig from the glass.
“Come on now baby. Why act modest, when we both know you are anything but an angel.” His words cause you to ball your hands into fists as you fight an internal battle within you, debating whether the trouble you would get into at taking a swing at him would be worth it.
“Fuck off.” You growl as you finish off the glass of whisky. Slipping your card back into the pocket of your jacket, you make to climb off the stool when you feel the creep’s hand grab your arm, his fingers pressing into the fabric of your jacket.
The pressure on your arm makes you snap, and you raise your fist an inch, ready to take a shot at the drunk, when you feel another warm hand catch your fist. Your back connects with a chest, and the scent that wafts over you helps you identify Hotch.
“Is this man bothering you Honey?” He squeezes your hand, a signal for play along because this is the easiest way we are going to diffuse this situation without drawing any more attention to ourselves.
“This gentleman was just about to get going before you showed up, Sweetheart.” You wrench your arm out of the creep’s hold, which has slackened with the appearance of your unit chief, and press your side against Hotch’s chest, looking up at him through your eyelashes. He slides a protective arm around you, you can feel the muscles under his shirt shift and you can’t help but wonder what those same bare muscles would feel like under your hands.
“Cockslut.” The man spits out venomously, glaring at both you and Hotch. His words however, are in contrast to his body language which you note, had severely shifted with the appearance of Hotch.
“What did you just say?” Hotch beats you to punch, his eyes hardening, as he tightens his hold on you. He is, at this point, radiating anger. You instinctively nestle yourself further into his embrace, and you feel him squeeze your shoulder in reassurance, angling himself slightly so half his body is blocking yours.
“Not-nothing.” The man’s eyes widen, knowing that he would be picking a losing battle and he turns on his heels, scurrying off.

“Why are you both holding onto each other.” Rossi’s voice causes both you and Hotch to jump apart, and you feel a blush falling rapidly across your face.
“Just helping her chase away some creep that was trying to hit on her.” Hotch explains for you both, his tone calm, but a slight tinge of red colouring the tops of his ears.
“I see.” Rossi muses, as you excuse yourself, muttering an excuse about getting to bed, before you half sprint to the elevators.

“So, you think she knows?” Rossi asks, hands in his pockets, question directed at Aaron as they watch you jab at the elevator button, willing it to come faster.
“Knows what.” Hotch’s gaze is trained on you, a small smile ln his lips as he watches you slide quickly into the lift, jamming the door close. He can still feel the imprint of you nestled into his chest.
“That you both are idiots and pining for each other.” Rossi chuckles, slapping Hotch on the back before he turns his attention to the bar.

I just had a thought while cleaning my AirPods.
We all know Matt uses headphones so he can like listen to audio files and everything he needs to have read out for him because obviously he can’t read Braille on a laptop or any other digital device. And of course, there are the interrogation tapes and everything. We know he uses wired headphones. Period.
I just had the weirdest scenario with him in my mind. I imagined gifting him AirPods because you know, I love my AirPods (or anything that doesn’t have wires because I once accidentally almost choked myself to death when I fell asleep with wired headphones, and I fall victim to Apple’s marketing strategies all the time, but that’s not the point). I think gifting him AirPods would go terribly wrong and there is a reason he uses wired headphones (and not switches from wired to wireless).
They. Get. Lost.
Like, seriously, I lose them all the fucking time. They either fall behind the mattress or my case opens in my bag and they fall out. I find them in the most random places. Matt is blind. He would not find his AirPods until he like accidentally steps on them and then you have $150 damage. That’s not something you’d want.
Although every iPhone user has the ‘Find My’ function and it could help him (I know he uses Android in the show, but let’s not get into detail about the kind of phones our man uses. I said AirPods, let’s just make it wireless headphones instead).
He’d lose them and he wouldn’t fucking find them again. And then his s/o or Foggy or someone else would be like: “Well, why don’t you use the ‘find my’ function to make them make that sound to find them.” And he’d just get the worst headache because it’s way too shrill for someone with his senses. I mean, he’d probably find them, but he’d bump into a million different things along the way, and maybe they’re actually stuck somewhere he can’t reach because y’know he’s blind after all.
And his s/o or if I were the one who gave the wireless headphones to him would just be like:
Honestly, 1 day into having them he’d just be like, “I want my wired headphones back 😭” and throw the wireless ones out somewhere far, far away.
Just a thought. It’s not even particularly funny, I just like to share things no one’s ever asked for.

I have no idea how things are going to pan out for either Bradley or Corey now after that episode!
I'm a bit disappointed with the Bradley/Cory content we've got this season tbh, there have been some good scenes but not nearly as many heartfelt/romantic moments as I'd hoped for. Is it too optimistic to hope next episode changes that?!
I read that spoilery article before it got changed about how Bradley 'falls into' Cory's arms (I think that's what it said anyway, not sure!) but I just wondered how you interpret that and what you're predicting for Bradley and Cory in the finale next week?
me too 😭😭😭 tbh i still have hope for s4 bc the set up is there, a lot of things have hinted at b/c romance in the prev eps.
hmmm idk about ep10, nothing romantic will happen for sure (bradley needs some time to process her breakup), i just hope they’ll be able to talk and sort some things out. that spoilery article said "perhaps laura’s harsh words to bradley don’t literally push her into cory’s arms, but that is, in a way, where we leave them at the end of the season". so this implies that the show is turning more towards b/c romantically after b/l breakup. so far we’re not getting these vibes, meaning that we’ll probably get a good scene between them in the finale, and we'll see a noticeable change in their dynamic. also there are a few tracks from tms ost that caught my eye "he saw me - no one knows" and "one i could trust". heavy b/c vibes right here, i could see them being featured in ep10 👀
i get why you feel disappointed, but this was never ‘their’ season to begin with. s3 is much more focused on bradleylaura and why they are not right for each other. since their romance has pretty much concluded (as far as we know), the show can shift focus to b/c in s4. it’s good that both of them are in their unemployment eras now, bc they can’t be together while both of them are working at uba. bradley quitting her job and laura breaking up with her marks a new beginning for them in my opinion. part of me loves slow burns but they’re also the worst thing ever and make me slowly die inside bfhjdnsk pls help

“We’re just going in and out, got it?” Miles Morales of Earth-1610 tells him. “C’mon, are you even listening, man?”
He’s not listening. His eyes are fixed on the portal that appeared in front of him, watching it distort and spin with a burning intensity. If the place they’re headed to can make hundreds of watches that can do this, well, Miles of Earth-42 can’t imagine what other tech they have there. Tech he can use.
“I hear you, I hear you,” he tells his doppelgänger, his mask sliding over his face and distorting his voice. “Let’s do this.”
His first experience with interdimensional travel reveals that it is as strange as it is unpleasant— almost like he’s free-falling, but directionally. He’s not usually one to get queasy, but Miles’ stomach flips with the sensation. He can’t help but be grateful when his feet connect to solid ground.
The group of spandex-wearing teenagers he’s accompanying are unphased, talking in low voices about their big plan—ignoring the way the ground shifts below them— the panel they’re standing on beginning to rise.
Miles isn’t sticky like the rest of them are. When the elevator panel starts to rotate, flipping the group of teenagers upside down, he doesn’t bother trying to hang on. He drops back to the ground below, the shock absorbers in his shoes reducing the worst of the fall, and tries to take in his surroundings.
The place is huge, that’s for sure. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in his immediate vicinity, but getting around unnoticed isn’t going to be easy. His suit is particularly lacking in the spandex department, and even if he were to take his mask off, he happens to share a face with the universe’s most wanted teenager. Plus, the band of spider-delinquents he’s supposed to be with will surely come looking for him when they realize he’s missing. He needs to move quickly—and he needs to move now.
Miles was right about the tech here. Screens beep and buzz down every corridor he turns, holographs appear with no clear point of projection, gravity is casually defied—even the ringing sound of the alarm comes from all around despite there not being a speaker in sight.
Those idiots. Miles presses himself into a corner as a group of Spider-People rush past. He knows he should probably go help his pseudo-team, but the room is clear now, and something catches his eye.
There’s a flash, and a giant metal spider crawls back into its home on the ceiling. Or at least, he hopes it’s a robot. He can’t really tell from here, he needs to get closer.
His mask disengages as he inspects the equipment— he can’t get close to the spider creature— but the scanner itself moves around like it’s…animate. Miles’ curiosity makes him careless. He doesn’t notice she’s there until she’s behind him.
“Let me guess,” She says, her voice clear and amused, unphased by how quickly he whirls around with his claw raised. “You’re Miles, right?”
He stares at her and squints— until she smiles.
He can’t help the way his guard lowers.
“I’m Margo.”
He’s heard that name before. She’s on their side— the “inside man—” as the others had called her. She’s the one keeping an eye on the situation inside of HQ, providing them with the opportunity that let them get here undetected. It hadn’t really mattered to him before, but now that he’s face-to-face with her, it’s no longer something he can ignore.
Just like he can’t ignore the erratic beating of his own heart.
She’s undeterred by his lack of response— or the way his mouth hangs slightly open as she inspects him.
“I like your braids, they look really nice on you.”
God, his mouth is so dry. He has to swallow, trying to push down the red that he can feel rising to his cheeks.
“Also that suit is fire! Did you make it yourself?”
Miles can barely nod, trying to force words out of his mouth with little success. “You gotta show me the sketches for it sometime.”
The alarm changes, getting shriller and more urgent— demanding their attention. She raises an eyebrow at him.
“Lemme guess, that has something to do with you.”
He barely has time to give a sheepish shrug before the large bay doors slide open, a hoard of spider-themed ‘heroes’ push their way through.
Miles sees his opportunity and takes it, sliding his ungloved hand into Margo’s—trying not to think too hard about the way their fingers lock perfectly.
“Run.”
