Probably one of my fave things about CPC is the fact that Gwen genuinely isn’t conventionally attractive, she’s not just some girl who *gasp* wears glasses and has her hair in a ponytail or something X_X The amount of ”””ugly””” characters I’ve that seen that fall into that trope bruhhh. But as the comic goes on, like Frederick, you get used to her appearance and come to appreciate her as truly beautiful bc of who she is <3

You’ve always had a thing for writing stories.
From the most devastating tragedies of a sapphic couple in medieval times, to the spiciest of female homoerotic tension during a zombie apocalypse, there were no words beyond the coaxing grasp of your vivid intelligence.
Encompassing was what it was, how the words flowed from the edge of your mindwires to the tips of your fingers, spilling onto page after page of literary beauty. You could get lost in it for days on end, spinning that marionette with a poetic dexterity, making her dance to your stories until her legs could take no more.
It was no secret that writing had been an extraordinary talent of yours, that would later take shape in the path of your future career.
So there you were, sitting at your study desk on a lazy Saturday morning, nimble fingers flying over your keyboard in an intricate dance, each pausable breath, each rush of words that woved into the fabric of your story.
It’s quite picturesque, if you’re being frank; what with freshly brewed coffee in a steaming hot mug that read ‘Pride not Prejudice’ (Yes, there was an overload of rainbows decorating its surface,) and a breathtakingly idyllic view of the morning sky.
Of course, the skyline would never quite compare to the sight of your lady stepping out of the bedroom. The only causation to cease your words.
“Y/N?”
It’s a beautiful calling, tainted with a sleep-dragged croak of the throat. Brown doe eyes slowly blink to meet your gaze, soft feet making tentative contact with smooth marble.
“Hi, sweetheart,” you respond softly, eyes savouring the sight that is your wife in one of your cream Oxford shirts. Wanda's beauty is underlying and unsaid, beyond the boundaries of conventional and beyond your dictionaried words.
Certainly, Wanda has the traits of what define beauty: your shirt on her is partially unbuttoned to tease at a tantalizing cleavage, the hem of the clothing is high enough to show off the expanse of her porcelain legs.
But it's also the way the sunlight falls on Wanda's skin, like she's a descendant of the Gods that crafted the essence of light, like she was made to dance and roam in the beauty of the day.
It's the way the morning glow accidentally highlights her Grecian-sculpted cheekbones, and the way her light-brown freckles casually pop in that light. It's her collarbone scattered with your marks of violet hues, and that fading scar on her right thigh you never fail to kiss.
A sleepy sigh escapes from Wanda’s lips, and she runs a hand through her perfectly dishevelled hair. You don’t have to say anything, only nod your head in the slightest. The rest is second nature: Wanda slides herself into your lap, arms hooking around the back of your neck, head tucked into the crook of your neck.
Perhaps it was second nature, truthfully, because Wanda didn’t need control when she was around you. You were her control, her steadfast pillar, her rising sun. You were a constant in her ever-changing world, always by her side regardless of whatever insurmountable task might be in her way.
You let an imperceptible sigh of content slip through your lips, but you never stop typing for a second. Emotion was difficult for you to convey, paradoxically, considering the amount of feeling you could put into words. In actuality, it was hard for you to laugh carelessly or have an outburst of fury. Your emotion was quiet and unspoken, much like in the present moment.
Wanda, however, seemed to have other plans in mind.
It started off innocent, because you truthfully believed she was just being affectionate and physically in need of human warmth. And maybe it was, as your girlfriend eased into your lap, nuzzling adorably into your comforting scent.
But when Wanda’s hips begin moving unsubtly, breath growing more delicate on to the curve of your neck, you’re sure without a doubt that this is another one of those times Wanda sought a different kind of fulfillment, the kind that lay adjacent to her pretty thighs.
Your hands dance a little faster on the keyboard. Your eyes are still gazing over the top of Wanda’s head, firmly determined to complete this part of the novel you were working on.
“Y/N…” Wanda says, reverently softly, pressing up into the warmth of your bodily heat. “Mhm?” you hum absent-mindedly, tucking your forearms in a little closer to entrap Wanda in your embrace.
You replace a comma with a fullstop just as Wanda shifts uncomfortably in your lap. Your wife’s legs fall open and slides her centre around the muscle of your right thigh. Something rises in your chest at the sensation of bare centre meeting your warm skin.
She cranes her pale neck like a swan, pressing her warm mouth against your neck. You shift imperceptibly, switching a three-letter phrase into a subject-verb concord. When Wanda’s tongue pokes out between her ruby lips, when her sharp teeth scrape over the pulse point of your neck, when her curled hair brushes your exposed skin, an uncontrollable shudder runs through your body.
Backspace. Backspace. Backspace. Your spelling is becoming sloppy, almost like there’s a distraction.
Almost in retaliation, you jerk your knee up, the one that had been situated between Wanda’s thighs, and the mewl that leaves her mouth breaks her porcelain-doll composure. Satisfaction pools in your hips.
Words don’t need to be said between the two of you, as a slight shift in the atmosphere of the dining room sets itself. Wanda’s pants become shallower and quicker, the undulation of her hips speeding up, her legs clenching tighter around your thigh.
Your hands are flying over the keyboard now, your fingers twitching with bridled electricity, having need of some alleviation to express your ever-increasing libido. It’s a wonder how your eyes aren’t yet completely glazed over; yet, they’re moving in mechanical function to type, like you’re clinging on to a fragment of sanity.
Because honestly, remaining sane while your wife let out the most pitiful whines into your ear certainly wasn’t an easy task.
“Y/N,” Wanda cries, finally, emitting a sound as she clutches onto the soft fabric of your collared shirt. You can see, in your peripheral vision, the way Wanda’s face morphs into an expression of pleasure, the lines in nose-bridge forming a scrunch.
Wanda is, without a doubt, the most breathtaking woman you’d ever laid your eyes upon. Reverent devotion bleeds from your mindwires and on to the page, staining it a crimson red as she nears her high.
Your right thigh is moving in sync with each of Wanda’s humps, and she’s chasing that pleasure for all it’s worth: The clenching of your thigh muscles, the harsh jerks of your thigh as she struggles to ride it properly.
Leaning down, your lips caress the shell of your wife’s ear, and from your mouth flows the words that are the final seal of acquiescence.
“Come for me, sweetheart.”
Just like that, something snaps inside Wanda, and the edge of your brainwaves fray like an old rope. In that moment, you know your words can take a rest.
The movement of your fingers come to a halt. There was an unfinished story before you, the plot unfolding but not quite complete. But with Wanda by your side, she writes your story for you, carves the path towards a bittersweet ending.
She takes the words from the deepest depths of your heart and lets it pour out her mouth, unashamedly, unapologetically, indescribable emotion overflowing from those blossomed lips into her trembling figure, her flushed cheeks.
“Y/N,” Wanda moans, and her sounds raise in pitch when you buck your hips up in a moment of your fractured composure. Her hips grind shamelessly onto the muscle of your thigh, chasing that stimulation.
It’s far from the most intense orgasms you’d brought Wanda to, because she can’t ever reach that level of ecstasy without your prodding fingers or your devil-tongued mouth. Perhaps that’s half of its beauty, though, that the two of you were incomplete without the other.
Wanda curls in your lap as she recovers from her high, enclosed within your forearms and the desk, face buried into your chest to engulf her senses in your scent. There’s sacred solace in the way you tilt your head down to press a fluttering kiss on her neck.
Your word document remains open but unfinished, the coffee in your mug grows cold. Sweet nothings and promised everythings are exchanged between the two of you until the sun has fully risen, hues of amber and gold painting the room.
The only story that mattered was the one before you, the one waiting to be explored.
You’ve had a thing for writing stories since young, and this particular one ends with a happy-ever-after.

Day 20: reading together
Tumblr media
Masterlist flufftober 🎀
Reblog if you liked it!
“If I didn't love you so much, I'd probably be strangling you right now,” you muttered, watching from your spot on the couch as Spencer broke the spine of the book he had just gotten.
Although you two were very skilled readers, which had brought you together in the first place, your book care habits were very different. You could stand him writing in the books and bending the pages, but the first time you saw the man break the spine of a book you almost screamed to stop him. You were the type who opened the pages only as much as necessary, loaded them into a special bag, and used only post-its and pretty bookmarkers in them.
“I already told you that this is more comfortable and gives life to the books”
“It doesn't give them life, it kills them” you sobbed dramatically, while you raised your feet a little so that he could take a seat on the couch and once he was, he took care of placing your legs on his lap “What is this one about?”
"Physics. I want some distraction”
“Oh, sure,” you laughed ironically, as if it were common to read physics books to clear your mind.
You had been reading, for a couple of weeks, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, because the movie was one of your favorites in your youth and you wanted to know how much the book delved into the story of both lovers.
You were used to these kinds of moments with him, because since you had started living together your literary discipline had improved, so you tried to continue with your reading while he started his.
Everything was fine until you tensed when you felt his hand coming down from the cover to hold your leg firmly. You looked down from your book and a shiver ran through you when you noticed that he was able to hold all the flesh of your limb with those hands; big, calloused, and warm, always so expert at touching you just the way you wanted. But Spencer was so focused on the book that he didn't seem aware of what he was doing to you, not even when he started to slowly stroke you with his thumb.
You tried to shake the distraction from your mind and focused on the printed lines, the only sound being the turning of the paper pages in your lover's book. Spencer's fingers traced patterns and drummed on your skin, to the point where you got used to it and stopped paying attention to the tickling he was doing with it.
“What happened to you here?” Spencer asked suddenly, feeling interrupted by curiosity to know the origin of the bump his fingers had touched. You closed your book slightly and looked up to see what he was talking about.
"That? I think it was from a fall when I was little.”
“Sometimes I'm surprised to think how many things I still don't know about you,” he murmured, with unexpected sentimentality. His hand went up and down your leg while he maintained a thoughtful attitude “You are like a book; I think I know you well enough and when I look at you again you have a different meaning or I find something new about you”
“At least I hope you don't break my spine” you laughed and you heard him laugh too. You readjusted yourself on the couch until you were sitting next to him and you placed a kiss on his cheek, so he took the opportunity to surround you from the side “No one had ever compared me to a book.”
“I like being innovative,” he said, quite proud of himself, feeling how you fit better against him.
Once again one of his hands remained busy on your body and with the other he kept the book open, taking a little more time than usual to turn the pages. You carefully opened your reading and continued to enjoy the tragic romance the story told, having your own happy romance at your side.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE LOKI SERIES' ROMANTIC TROPES AND JANE AUSTEN
I am going to compare the relationships and romantic undertones of Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius with my all-time favorite Jane Austen adaptation because the character archetypes and plot-points are strikingly similar with Ang Lee and Emma Thompson's 1995 Sense and Sensibility.
This sounds cracked, but stay with me. Tropes are tropes for a reason. They are often repeated in writing subconsciously because they are very old and near-universal story arcs regardless of the literary genre we are discussing.
Please note that this is not a 1-to-1 comparison. This is an analysis of basic archetypes, tropes, and plot-points: the barebones skeleton of story structure. With that said, let's dig in:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki = Kate Winslet's Marianne Dashwood
Sylvie = Greg Wise's John Willoughby
Mobius = Alan Rickman's Colonel Brandon
For those of you who have not seen (or read) Sense & Sensibility, the story is about a family of women who are rendered near-destitute when the patriarch passes away and, due to English law at the time, all the family finances fall to the only son. The only hope for the women to escape the edges of poverty is to marry into wealth.
The Loki series’ main storyline is a far cry from that of Sense & Sensibility. It is first and foremost a sci-fi action-adventure, but don’t let that genre fool you. Well-written stories are always character-driven. The setting serves to establish the rules of the world and the tangible challenges the characters must confront to achieve their goal. The end goal for Loki is his ascension to the God of Stories (and time). Therefore, his character arc must follow a trajectory that prepares him for that ascension.
Tumblr media
Love, above all else, is essential for Loki’s journey. In order to understand and be capable of love, Loki must experience love in all its forms including but not limited to romantic. I've seen a lot of social media posters mocking shippers with comments saying, "the story is not about romance." I wholeheartedly disagree. While romance is not the main concern of the series, romance does serve Loki's character development.
It is critical that we remember romance does not require physical contact or even blatant declarations of love. If that were true, unrequited love would not be thought of as romantic, which we know is not the case. Further, it is possible for physical intimacy to exist without any romance at all. One does not require the other.
While dismantling HWR’s old regime is the Loki series’ “Plot A” thread, Loki’s emotional experience serves as the series’ “Plot B” thread. Love and romance exist in Plot B.
THE CHARACTERS & THEIR ARCHETYPES
LOKI & MARIANNE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Within Sense & Sensibility’s plot, one of the main heroines, Marianne, has the archetype of the mercurial, passionate, and freewheeling spirit. She is rebellious at heart, chaffing at society’s rigid expectations of emotional repression and polite rather than fiery courtship. Much like Loki with Sylvie, Marianne is drawn to John Willoughby because his temperament, values, interests, and talents very closely mirror her own.
Like Loki, Marianne is emotional. Her emotions drive many of her decisions, some of which are rash and socially unacceptable for her era.
Like Loki, Marianne detests social norms. Refusing to contain her nature for anyone, she is unafraid of the stares and judgment of others.
Like Loki, Marianne is poetic, a lover of words and metaphor.
Like Loki, Marianne is a hedonist. She will follow where her heart takes her regardless of the consequences. Just as Loki runs after Sylvie through the portal door, Marianne chases after Willoughby.
SYLVIE & WILLOUGHBY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Willoughby fulfills the archetype of the ideal lover at first sight. He is young, handsome, strong, deeply romantic, and a lover of poetry, pleasure, and unfettered emotion. I will not go into the deeper details of his character and plot here as I don't find them relevant for the purposes of this analysis. The key point to remember is that Willoughby is meant to be Marianne's perfect match by virtue of similarity.
Like Sylvie, Willoughby is emotional and consequently chaotic in nature. At his worst, Willoughby is unafraid of hurting others in the pursuit of his desires.
Like Sylvie, Willoughby chooses absolute freedom over the genuine love and care he has for Marianne (Loki).
Like Sylvie, Willoughby views institutions with social authority with contempt.
Like Sylvie, Willoughby judges character based on association with institutions rather than the individuals themselves. He holds repugnance for Brandon’s (Mobius’s) association with the military (the TVA). Fair enough, both the TVA and the military (especially the British military) are institutions that have committed horrific global atrocities.
Like Sylvie, Willoughby is unable to separate the institution from the individual people living and working within it, who are capable of goodness.
MOBIUS & COLONEL BRANDON
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Colonel Brandon, a decorated military officer, fulfills the trope of the “dark horse” in love. He is Willoughby’s opposite: older, "less physically attractive", reserved, practical, and orderly. The main character (Loki/Marianne) appreciates his friendship yet does not feel any romantic affection for him (Mobius/Brandon) until the primary love interest (Sylvie/Willoughby) abandons the relationship for absolute freedom.
Like Mobius, Brandon is drawn to intelligent, artistic, footloose nonconformists.
Like Mobius, Brandon accepts and loves Marianne exactly as she is, including her faults. He does not want her to change against her will and gently reprimands her older sister, Elinor, at such a suggestion.
Like Mobius, Brandon serves an institution with significant influence on the lives of others.
Like Mobius, Brandon accepts that his love is not returned yet continues to express his love through his support of Marianne’s (Loki's) wishes, including his romantic rival Willoughby (Sylvie).
Like Mobius, Brandon is seen as a dear friend rather than a potential romantic partner in the first 2/3rds of the story.
Like Mobius, Brandon’s personal desires are secondary to Marianne’s (Loki’s) happiness.
THE ROMANTIC PLOT
It is understood by the audience that love is not only a feeling; it is also an action that requires incredible responsibility. In that responsibility, both lovers must choose to take into consideration the feelings, wants, and needs of the other.
The trope of a main character meeting their perfect match and falling quickly in love informs the audience that conflict must lie ahead, and that the third party of the love triangle will be tested for their worthiness as a romantic partner.
Loki & Sylvie and Marianne & Willoughby possess a fast, passionate, and explosive love.
Loki & Mobius and Marianne & Brandon posses a slow, steady, and gently burning love.
These two relationships, which are BOTH valid AND romantic, are set against one another to contrast each suitor's strengths and weaknesses, as well as to shed light on which suitor best meets the feelings, needs, and wants of the main character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The main character's (Loki/Marianne) love interests inevitably collide in a tense confrontation. Being the Georgian Era, Brandon and Willoughby do not discuss their dislike for one another directly but with Marianne's older sister, Elinor.
Sylvie, on other hand, is not afraid to tear into Mobius, saying exactly what she thinks of him. Both directors of photography frame their shots in a near-identical fashion, demonstrating who are at odds and the individual (present or not) who is between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whether in the realm of fiction or reality, the act of love inherently requires some degree of self-sacrifice.
While Sylvie performs self-sacrifice by pruning herself in hopes of finding and rescuing Loki from the Void, that self-sacrifice does not extend to her personal values and beliefs with respect to free will.  She therefore fights Loki, ultimately kissing him farewell before kicking him through a time door to get what she wants.
Likewise, Willoughby, cut-off from his family's estate due to indiscretions he refuses own, prioritizes wealth over his relationship with Marianne in order to continue his lifestyle of luxury and absolute freedom. Willoughby therefore marries the exceptionally wealthy Miss Grey to achieve this end, abandoning Marianne and breaking her heart in the process.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the midpoint of each storyline (where the narrative turns), both Loki and Marianne have lost the person they felt most strongly about because they were not that's person's priority.
Marianne's quote in the above gif is significant. It is a poem she and Willoughby recited together when they first met. She recites it again, alone, as she looks upon the estate Willoughby has married into in the rain. The poem is as follows:
"Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove. Oh, no. It is an ever-fixed mark that looks upon tempests and is never shaken."
This poem defines love as not fickle but persistent in the face of challenges and "never shaken".
THE DARK HORSE IN LOVE
Brandon, who falls for Marianne first, establishes himself as not only a friend of Marianne's but her whole family's. All of his actions throughout the film are performed out of love for Marianne, but these actions are not read as romantic by Marianne because there is no fast-burning fire and (seemingly) little commonality between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marianne's mother cautions her, pointing out that the romances she cites all meet pitiful ends. In return, Marianne describes such love as not pitiful but "glorious."
Brandon and Mobius express their love for Marianne and Loki through practical means. Their actions are predominantly viewed as marks of friendship rather than marks of romantic love. It should be noted that in both cases, no verbal declaration of love, nor any physical declaration of love, such as a kiss, is ever made by either Mobius or Brandon on screen. Brandon's unrequited love, however, is readily apparent to everyone (the characters and the audience) due his presentation of the opposite gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brandon, upon seeing Marianne struggle cutting reeds for weaving, offers her his pocketknife. Mobius, knowing that confrontation with Sylvie at Roxxcart will be dangerous, offers Loki his daggers for protection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brandon, recognizing Marianne’s need for artistic pursuits, gifts her a piano. Mobius, recognizing Loki’s need for validation, provides him with words of affirmation, encouraging Loki’s talents in magic and cunning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brandon, acknowledging Marianne’s love for Willoughby, invites Willoughby to a picnic at his estate despite his distaste for him.  Mobius, acknowledging Loki’s love for Sylvie, frees Loki and is pruned despite his jealousy of her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marianne, out in the rain and in distress over her loss of Willoughby, succumbs to a deadly fever. Loki, kicked through a time door and in distress over his loss of Sylvie, succumbs to time-slipping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brandon and Mobius actively make themselves available in response to their loved one's individual break-ups with ZERO expectation of having their love returned.
Brandon, concerned that Marianne's illness may kill her, rides nonstop for hours to retrieve her mother during a storm. Mobius, concerned for Loki's wellbeing, risks his life on the loom's gangway, risking exposure to temporal radiation and death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end, both Brandon and Mobius are the triumphant winners of Marianne's and Loki's hearts.
Indeed, Brandon reads poetry to Marianne, and when he announces he must "away", Marianne worriedly asks "where?", demonstrating her desire for him to stay. Brandon teases her, fulfilling Marianne's need for romance and excitement by saying, "it is a secret."
Mobius, meanwhile, begins to open himself up to worldly pleasures, allowing himself to drop the strict, no-nonsense behavior he exhibited in S1. Loki, in turn, begins to provide him with the type of emotional support Mobius has consistently given him since the beginning (yes, he has a jealous meltdown, but he recovers relatively quickly).
The outcome of their successes, however, diverge due to their gender presentation.
Whereas Brandon happily marries Marianne ...
Tumblr media
... Loki returns Mobius's selfless love with a sacrifice of his own, and they are separated.

Willy Wonka was the man behind the most manic creations of confection, yet he had never tasted as delectably sweet a treat as you.
His hot breath lingered between your thighs, melting your caramelized center for him to devour like a man starved. His flattened tongue lapped reverently against your slit. He was always gentle, probing touches and tentative licks as delicate as spun silk.
Your eyes were glazed and you dared not look at him for if you caught sight of what he was doing to you, there would be no hope of you stifling the string of hedonistic sounds that would pour from your mouth.
He plucked and tasted every sugared petal from your rosebud like it were made of candy.
Electric roots embedded within you; small vibrations sent shockwaves at every sound which emanated from him. You reached for him and felt him smile against your hot flesh as you gripped handfuls of his frizzy hair to keep him firmly in place.
Your head felt full of cotton candy fluff, sweet thoughts with no substance.
How was he so skilled at this?
That tongue of his knew its way around a literary device, so what was so shocking that it could also physically stimulate, as well as mentally?
He compared it to eating cotton candy: one touch of the tongue could cause the entire bundle of sweetness to melt.
Sensation gripped you. Suddenly, you were far beyond cloud nine, having left both the ground and the stratosphere behind, and were running laps on Saturn’s rings, squeezing out the last drops of imagination from your world-weary brain.
A soft cry escaped you and in your heavily stimulated state, you felt his grip on you tighten. His forearms pressed firmly against your inner thighs to keep your legs apart as his tongue delved inside of you to taste your sweet cream.
He could not contain his voracious need for you. So infrequently did you ever witness him become demanding, but there was something about the way you tasted which drove him mad with desire.
He could have a sweet treat any time his heart desired, but this? You were a craving which could only be satisfied if he were to eat from the source. As confident as he might’ve been that he could replicate your taste so that he could have it all the time (that was the inventor in him talking), he wouldn’t try. Something so delicious was meant to be sampled in one way alone and if he thought otherwise, then he had no right to call himself Willy Wonka, world-famous chocolatier and dreamer of dreams.
Perhaps this was one example of how some of his realities became dreams, because nothing this perfect could be anything less than a dream and yet it was somehow his reality.
His world became saturated in sensation each time he did this and he savored your sounds of pleasure as much as he savored your sweet honey.
Still, he had to warm you up to the idea of being tasted. The humiliation and shame over being so exposed always made you want to close your legs, but it was that delicious mortification that made you taste even sweeter to him.
He had to make a mess of you, then would you finally give in to him.
Willy Wonka was not a greedy man, but he indulged on occasion. However, this was a different sort of craving that consumed him. He would never pass up an opportunity to settle between your legs for a sampling of the sweetest candy that had ever touched his tongue – and he wasn’t even the creator of it!
How ironic.
He wouldn’t let that tidbit get to him, as long as he could have you for himself. The thought of sharing your delectable body with anyone else sickened him with jealousy and his tenderness turned more possessive as he nibbled at your slick folds.
You noted the change in pace, your heart beating rapidly as though it were trying to escape your ribcage. Your hot flesh pulsed against his tongue and you rolled your hips, wanting more of that delicious friction. You felt him chuckle as his tongue flicked from your core to your sensitive clit, teasing the hooded skin around your bundle of nerves that was engorged from stimulation.
You whimpered pathetically as your body tingled. Hot, slick heat pooled in your abdomen, burning brighter in intensity at the incessant teasing.
His tongue flickered over your clit and you cried out his name, making him let out another pleased chuckle. The sounds he pulled from your lips made the experience even more worthwhile for him; he took pride in having the capabilities necessary to make you sound like that.
He had every reason to take it further, to rush through to the end so that he could finally taste your essence once again, but no. Of all the work that he did, Willy Wonka was an artist. He believed in excellent craftsmanship and the art of the skill it took to create a work of perfection.
He was much more appreciative of what he had because he worked for all of it.
He would accept his reward gratefully, after he had put in the effort to receive it.
“Willy…” You whispered his name breathlessly, gazing down at him now.
His striking blue eyes peered up at you from the erotic scene playing out between your legs. You felt yourself clench as your eyes met and his tongue flicked against your clit for good measure, making your hips twitch.
You couldn’t tell from this position, but you swore he was smirking at you; he knew just what he was doing and how to make you squirm.
“Yes, my dear?” you felt him mumble the words more than you heard them, the vibrations making you throb. He seemed to be thoroughly enjoying your euphoria as if it were his own.
You tried to answer him as his tongue dipped back in for another taste of sweet nectar and his nose brushed lightly against your clit, making you lose consciousness for a few short seconds as your brain rewired itself. All that forced its way out of you was a moan and more delicious juice dribbled out of you for him to quickly lick up with a pleased sound of appreciation.
A whine tore itself from your throat as you felt him licking you clean, “g-gonna cum…”
“Is that so?” he responded casually, as if he were surprised to hear this.
The hunger in his gaze betrayed him and he began tasting you with a renewed vigor, eager for your release so that there would be more cream for him to greedily enjoy.
His tongue left your opening in favor of massaging your clit. He was determined and would have what he wanted if he pleased you just right.
Lips suctioning around your clit, he gently sank one finger into your dripping core.
You let out a guttural cry and your muscles seized up around the intrusion. Soon, your body relaxed enough for him to add a second finger. He wiggled them inside you as he pressed in deep in search of your sweet spot.
Between the internal and external stimulation, you were unable to hold off any longer.
The heat of your orgasm flooded your senses and your walls clenched, spasming around his thick fingers. Your pleasured cries and soft moans filled his ears with sweet music as his tongue continued massaging your clit until your orgasm had finished.
Your body went limp as you soaked in the afterglow. The dense fog had cleared; a sensation-spiked sunshine rose from the depths of your mind and shone through the clouds.
You barely registered what he was doing as he continued licking away the excess ejaculate, savoring the last remnants of your pleasure that his fingers dug out of you upon extraction.
You moaned lightly as you watched him suck your juices off his fingers like sucking on a lollipop.
“W-Was that good?” your voice sounded shaky as you asked him the question.
He wiped his fingers off with a handkerchief that he then stuffed into his pocket before laying on the bed beside you. His arm extended around your shoulders and brought you in against him for a cuddle after the deed was done.
“Heavenly,” he whispered against your hair as he leaned in and gave the top of your head a kiss, “I’ll admit, I had a hard time controlling myself.”
His admission made you chuckle and he smiled down at you as though you were more precious than jewels, or candy, in his case.
“Satisfied?” he asked, his deep voice of velvet made you begin to ache all over again.
A shudder traveled down your spine, “Always. But perhaps…it is now your turn…”
He chuckled, blue eyes lighting up with mirth and a hint of curiosity, “is that right? Well…we’ll see…”

I think this article is relevant to a lot of the very stupid, wanky debate that I keep seeing going around my dash about TEENS SELF-DIAGNOSING WITH DID. It is a funny quirky article written by a literary fiction author about how one of her characters got into her head during the pandemic and started dispensing Wry Life Advice, disappearing as soon as the stressful situation ended.
there's this bit that I think @pervocracy wrote, about how if your culture only had two words for 'fear', and one of them was "mild nervousness about passing a test" and the other was "the bone-chilling horror of being chased by zombies in a graveyard", that keeps you from talking about a whole range of human experiences. if you have crippling social anxiety, or you have an uncommon phobia, or any kind of fear that isn't 'mild nerves' or 'IMPENDING PHYSICAL DOOM'? you're stuck choosing between two words that do not suit your experience to describe what's going on.
I think "the experience of having an entity in your head that is Not You" is actually remarkably common- way more than 1%- especially among writers/artists/actors/fandom folks, and especially among anyone who's going through a severe physical or mental stress. an entity like this can exist in varying degrees of independence-from-you and interest-in-the-outside-world. Sometimes this entity is a comforting presence, other times it's a malevolent one. some disappear as quickly as they appear, and others stick with you for your whole life.
A lot of historical cultures had a framework to explain this kind of thing. "This is your daemon." "This is your guardian angel." "You're hearing spirits; you're possessed." Mainstream Western culture rejected these explanations, and in some cases, rightfully fucking so. But we don't really have a framework to replace them.
So if you are experiencing this phenomenon, because of how our society has decided to handle it, you really only have two words for it- "imaginary friend", or "DID alter". in the vast majority of cases neither of these words are appropriate, in the same way that severe social anxiety isn't Test Jitters or IMMINENT FEAR OF YOUR LIFE.*
there is a wide range of human experiences here being collapsed into 2 points. but people who are having that experience are going to need the words to describe it. if you're a published litfic author and the experience is over, you can write an article about it and just come off as a Little Quirky. if you're a teenager on TikTok, the experience is ongoing, and the only word you're being offered is DID? you're gonna take that word.
we need more words for this range of experiences. we need more people to be able to talk about this range of experiences- including DID, which is a very different experience from Brain Octopus up there- without getting tarred as Bad Psycho Crazy. we need to stop arguing whether or not you can only have this state of being from Severe Enough Trauma; we need to be able to accept it as a natural part of how humans are without judgement or shame.
*(Not saying that having alters is the same thing as ZOMBIES IN A GRAVEYARD; it's the Wide Range Of Intensity And Experiences that I'm comparing.)

Sonic and the Mirror of Trauma: Scrapnik Island
Tumblr media
Scrapnik Island is by far the most intriguing and impressive IDW Sonic miniseries so far. Daniel Barnes wrote an excellent story about recovering from trauma, struggling to escape your past, and facing the setbacks that come with both of those, and Nathalie Fourdraine and Jack Lawrence produced some beautiful art.
On its surface, the story has the potential to be a cheeky, cliché one-off akin to a spooky Halloween story (that started in December… hehe). But, when you look deeper at the plot and some of the tropes, and once you remember that it takes place between issue 56 (which I’ve crucially discussed at length) and issue 57, it suddenly becomes so much more important.
Mecha Sonic is a version of Sonic who has been forced to address the pain of his life and dabble with the consequences, and he represents the moment that Sonic has to face his own trauma—and that scares him.
Scrapnik Island sets off with the Scrapniks pursuing Sonic to help him, but Sonic, of course, has missed the memo. Mecha Sonic is hottest on Sonic’s trail, which stands out to me as not only is Sonic visibly afraid of Mecha (both from his sudden presence and from his memories of their last encounter), but he’s actively running away from his trauma, his past, his fear.
Even after Sonic’s been set straight on the Scrapniks’ deal, he’s still put off by Mecha Sonic’s silent demeanour and their history. So, Sonic treats him coldly, and this animosity triggers something deep within Mecha that he fights to starve off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is lots of visual storytelling to indicate that Sonic and Mecha Sonic are meant to be literary foils, but below is my favourite example. A flashback of a decommissioned Mecha Sonic fades into a present shot of Sonic “taking it easy,” but more so getting fed up with his situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sonic is also particularly distrustful (and afraid) of Mecha Sonic, compared to the other Scrapniks. However, as time runs on, Sonic comes to an initial understanding of Mecha’s changed ways and wants to make peace. However, right after this, Mecha Knuckles attacks, Mecha Sonic defends and, in a way, sacrifices himself for Sonic, and things fall apart from here.
Tumblr media
After Mecha Sonic is triggered during his battle with Mecca Knuckles (after a forceful encounter with Mecha Sonic’s past that sends him down a path of relapse), Mecha Sonic loses his ability to starve off Eggman’s primary programming. He turns on Sonic once again, but instead of serving Eggman, he strives to serve himself. While Mecha is falling victim to his traumatic past and coping mechanisms, the unfortunate thing about this is how it all reads to Sonic: another betrayal of his trust. It all calls back to Mr. Tinker, Metal Sonic, and Surge.
Tumblr media
Mecha Sonic’s plan is to swap bodies with Sonic so that Mecha can use Sonic’s speed to escape the island, but the Scrapniks attack before the transfer can complete. This leaves Mecha and Sonic in an in-between state where they hear each other thoughts and feel each other’s feelings.
Tumblr media
Even though Sonic states that the anger and sadness in his head is not his own, he’s still clearly shown to be feeling those feelings. They don’t originate from him, but their presence mingles with his own emotions to produce something darker and more irritated. Their presence also acts as a gateway of sorts, where the latent anger and sadness that Sonic can’t suppress makes it harder for him to put away his own feelings. Couple that with his physical pain from his sprained ankle (on the same leg he busted up a few issues prior), and soon, Sonic snaps for the first time in the entire IDW comic’s run.
Tumblr media
I love whenever Sonic’s anger is allowed to shine because he is never enraged for petty reasons. Sonic has an attitude that often leads him to cranky comments, but Sonic is genuinely angry here because it hurts him to see someone speak so lowly of themselves, to have been hurt by the world so poorly. Mecha Sonic is also yet another person who has been created by Eggman’s terror specific to oppose Sonic. It’s another example of Surge’s “I will kill you or die trying” with the added complexity of Mecha’s attempt at redemption being corrupted by the trauma of Eggman’s influence. This puts pressure on Sonic because these impositions put Mecha, Surge, Kit, and others like them in direct opposition to Sonic for reasons entirely of no fault of his own—and that angers him. All Sonic strives to do with his life and his gift is help people, and to have so many people come out of the woodworks to say that the only thing he can do to help them is to kill himself is absolutely devastating to him. Not only because he believes in the direct opposite—that the only person who can give one purpose is oneself—but because it threatens to strip his own purpose away from him whenever these notions are unearthed.
Sonic isn’t angry at Mecha, personally. He’s angry at the system created to hurt them both.
The most important thing to remember is that, unless I fully missed something*, that strange mind-link thing between Sonic and Mecha Sonic is never undone. After Sonic cries Mecha Sonic’s tears, the story cuts to Tails officially deprogramming Mecha Sonic and Mecha Knuckles from Eggman’s directives, but it’s never explicitly stated that Mecha Sonic’s and Sonic’s mental link was reversed.
Tumblr media
It can be reasonably assumed that it occurs off-screen (off-page? Outside of what is shown to the reader) because that would make general sense, but then again, so did the reprogramming, and that was explicitly mentioned. Further, it’s a general rule in writing for media that if you want something to be known about your story, it needs to be shown to the audience if not alluded to or directly referred to having happened. So, this is either an oversight, or it’s entirely intentional.
* The only way I can imagine this being accounted for is that the machine that linked Sonic and Mecha’s brains, the Egg Noggin, is (obviously) an Eggman device. Thus, whenever Tails removed Eggman’s programming from Mecha Sonic and Mecha Knuckles, perhaps it also restored Sonic’s brain to normal. This, however, feels like a bit of a stretch because we never see or hear of Sonic needing or receiving any treatment, but I am willing to consider it to be a viable reason. Either way, I think the point I’m about to make still stands as either a physical change or an emotional change in Sonic’s character.
This experience, this sharing of minds in such an intimate way where they can both so clearly hear each other’s hearts, taught them something. I read this as some sort of floodgates being opened, where while Mecha Sonic can more easily feel compassion and listen to the good in his core, Sonic now more clearly feels his anger and has a harder time suppressing his emotions. Whether there is lasting physical damage left in Sonic or he’s simply reeling from the depth of his emotions felt in this adventure, there’s been a clear impact.
Even if Sonic isn’t fully delving into things just yet, he’s taken a lesson away from all of this.
Tumblr media
(From the IDW Endless Summer One-Shot, set between issue 64 and issue 65 and after the 900th adventure one-shot)
If nothing else, Sonic clearly understands trauma better now. Sonic is absolutely traumatized by his experiences with Eggman and other high-stakes adventures, but again, due to his tendency to push away his darker emotions, he hasn’t processed much of this. Sonic puts all his sadness and rage and fear and confusion into box after box after box before shoving everything onto a big, cluttered shelf, never to be seen again… until now. With such a clear look into the mind of someone actively reeling through trauma, a trauma so like his own, that shelf has collapsed, and now everything is spilling onto the floor before Sonic, quick as can be, can stop it.
Sonic is finally starting to understand the bigger picture, but I don’t think he’s fully on the path of self-awareness. I think there’s more boiling under the surface, more than even he realizes. And if Sonic keeps taking these micro-risks (instead of his usual Hail-Marys) that are fueled by his anger, like storming the Eggperial City too soon, then something will have to give.
Scrapnik Island is incredibly important to the IDW storyline because it showcases not only Sonic learning the depths of his pain and the pain of others but also yet another nail in Eggman’s coffin.

why is everyone always hyping up Ms. Mendeleev as this amazing teacher who takes no bull when she really isn’t? in evil illustrator, Mendeleev sees Chloe picking on Nathaniel and even physically rips his sketch book out of his hands and embarrasses him in front of everyone. but not only is Mendeleev more focused on him drawing in class, she only scolds Chloe but doesn’t punish her for being disruptive. in Marinette’s flashback, when Marinette arrives to class late looking downtrodden, she yells at her in front of everyone instead of waiting until the end of class to talk to Marinette privately. she doesn’t ask her what’s wrong, she doesn’t shut down Chloe’s offensive comments about “looking more depressed than usual” and “she wants to design clothes but can’t keep hers clean”, and she yells at Marinette for accusing Chloe of putting paint on her seat by stating that she had no basis to do so. this woman sure does yell a lot doesn’t she? Mendeleev has zero empathy for her students and has no business being a teacher. if we’re going to call out Damocles and Bustier, she deserves a call out as well.
No no, you have a point. I find I want to argue with you because I'm one of those who likes Mendeleiev substantially more compared to the other teachers, but that's just it: when compared to the other teachers.
Other than Damocles as the Principal, Mendeleiv is one of only three teachers we've been introduced to in the whole of the series. Well, until the Art teacher in season three, but even he has the same issues as Bustier and Damocles of admonishing the other students while saying nothing against Chloe.
Chloe issues aside, Bustier's teaching methods are "nice", but notably useless and not age appropriate. She was shown teaching the class about a fairy tale, and not even a specific one. Just about how a Prince saves a Princess with a kiss, with "true love" being the lesson rather than the literary implications or analysis in what I can only assume is a literature class.
Then there's D'Argencourt, and do I really need to get into this guy?
So I think part of the reason here is that of the very few teachers we've gotten any focus on, Mendeleiev is the only one who has actually ACTED like a teacher. Not the nicest teacher, no, but at least A teacher.
She was admittedly harsh in how she went about things with her students, but she had valid points and reasoning behind what she did.
Nathaniel in Evilustrator was drawing in science class, a subject he is struggling in.
Rose was spraying perfume in class without consideration to the hazards it could cause. Someone could have a health issue. Plus...y'know...the canon problem of the perfume being VERY FLAMMABLE.
And she's the only teacher who has at any point at least scolded Chloe for her behavior. Which given how everyone seems to bend over backwards to appease her or admonish her victims, that's saying something.
Plus out of all the school staff who have been akumatized, Mendeleiev had the most sympathetic reason. Then there's her aborted storyline in the New York Special. So she comes off as a teacher who wants to be liked and do right by her students, even if her way of going about her interactions seems harsh, and I think that's the aspect that the fans have taken notice of.
It stands to reason we've all had a teacher like her in our lives. Strict. No nonsense. Didn't let us get away with anything. And it also stands to reason that having that teacher in real life made us dread that class.
So yes, Mendeleiev is no saint. But she at least IS a teacher who ACTS like a teacher. A strict teacher who takes no excuses and seems more impartial (at least when compared with Damocles and Bustier who make it quite obvious they're under Chloe's thumb even if it's in different ways and for different reasons). She could do with some education on empathy and communicating with her students. But she's still at least doing her job as an educator to teach them.
At least until the writers ruin her just like they ruin everything else because they saw what the fandom came up with and decided we can't have nice things.

What do you think of this?
Tumblr media
I was oddly disappointed when I came across this.
I honestly feel sorry for anyone who couldn't see what this story was all about. They missed out on so much, they missed out on emotions and feelings that could have been their unraveling, a catharsis, something that could have led to a more accepting heart, a more sensitive mind, a sharper intuition, a keener emotional intellect.
This story is about Naruto and Sasuke and their bond. A bond that changes their current corrupt and chaotic shinobi world for the better. That they were fated and are soulmates is not a SNS headcanon, it is an intricate part of their dynamic, their portrayal. It's literally canon. They are supposed to be yin and yang, they are fire and wind, sky and earth, they are light and darkness, sun and moon, they make each other stronger emotionally and physically, they are the main act. This is all literally text.
The point of this story is that true love transcends all constructs made by humans. True love is a greater motivator than hate and revenge. True love is the solution that will bring the world together, that will finally break the cycle of revenge and hatred and bring about peace. Even if this concept has its own problems, the point is, that's what Kishi wanted to portray, at least till chapter 699.
What would even be the point of this story if Sasuke was shown to not love Naruto? Like apart from all the symbolic and literary elements, the larger narrative itself will be cancelled out if Kishi meant to show only Naruto as obsessed with Sasuke, no?
So why do these fans think this way? Denying the narrative, denying the story, denying the visual imagery, denying the characterisation of the hero and the anti hero, denying the major themes that make this manga, denying the whole point of this manga?
Projection and/or they are almost incurably dumb.
Like I don't know how many lies they have had to tell themselves to believe in their wacky theories. Their sense of comprehension is worse than a tween's. And given that a lot of them are adults, it is so embarrassing for them. Like if I were in their shoes, I would go back to school. I would burn all my degrees in the society bonfire. I would spend all my savings to relearn about the world.
Like if 700 exclusive freaking chapters of Sasuke and Naruto's bond weren't enough for them to get this story, they should maybe burn all their books. Apologies, I doubt they read. My bad.
One really doesn't need to be a media expert to get that they love each other. All they have to do is to be open minded and read the story for the story itself. Literally, one doesn't have to put any extra effort. Leave the extra effort to the bloggers and analysts who write about the literary, socio-political, narrative and visual influences and such. Just do your part. Just be the reader. Follow the story for the story's sake. That. Is. All.
But you know...fans will be fans. They find a character hot, so they would project, self insert, be dumb, deny, whine and cry, fight uselessly, embarrass themselves on public platforms, reveal themselves to be raging idiots of the first degree, etc.
Anyway.
Thesis statement of this answer : Naruto loves Sasuke and is surely obsessed with him because - Sasuke inspires it in him. Sasuke is equally obsessed with Naruto, and one would think it is subtle and it certainly is as compared to loud Naruto, but objectively, not subtle AT ALL.
At. All.
Sasuke is so in love with Naruto, is so damn crazy about this funny, cute, earnest, raw and determined little urchin, that his brain practically turns to mush when he sees him.
You know why Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto in Shippuden? He keeps saying that Naruto is his closest friend, his one and only.....friend, which is why he needs to kill him. Why?
Because Sasuke is so in love with this boy, that he self-sabotages his goals when it comes to Naruto. It has been a damn pattern with him from DAY ONE.
Naruto is Sasuke's WEAKNESS.
Sasuke trains so hard, resolves to accomplish his goals so determinedly, promises himself to be strong, but when it comes to Naruto, all of it goes right down the drain. And it is a BIG problem for Sasuke. A practical problem. Because how is he gonna accomplish his goals if Naruto keeps coming in his way, distracting him, making Sasuke's knees weak, his heart thump, his eyes tangle with Naruto's gaze, his mind completely focused on Naruto's every move?
Team seven formed. Naruto and Sasuke hadn't even spent much time together exclusively. Naruto had just been an ass to Sasuke, kissing him in public and embarrassing him (Why didn't you beat him up Sasuke? You clearly said you would lol) then tying him up, gagging him and impersonating him, but what does Sasuke do when he sees a perennially hungry Naruto? This.
Tumblr media
Even though he very well knew that he would be disqualified and wouldn't be allowed to train as a shinobi which is required for him to get stronger so he could one day, kill Itachi.
#self-sabotage
Sasuke goes on his first important mission with the team, and ends up protecting Naruto from the bad guys like a damn romantic hero on the way to land of waves country, tries to match his pace with Naruto while blushing, worrying for him, training with him at all hours of the night while everyone else including Sakura is resting, and he is having fun at it too, asking him for help and not Sakura who is 'supposed' to have better chakra control (only because she has a very small amount of chakra as compared to Sasuke and Naruto), and then out of nowhere, freaking sacrificing his life for him. He really was totally prepared to die for this boy at age 12. For love.
#self-sabotage
Tumblr media
His "Body moved on its own."
Naruto couldn't believe his eyes. Naruto was still oblivious as to how Sasuke felt for him before this point so he was flabbergasted at Sasuke's sacrifice. But Sasuke can't actually tell him he loves him, that would be so embarrassing for him. Lol. Hence the awkwardness later.
But Naruto now knows Sasuke really cared for him. He valued him. And so what happens?
Tumblr media
Sasuke inspired this in him. It didn't come out of oblivion. That's not how it works.
Then comes the forest of death arc. And we see how much Sasuke and Naruto work in close partnership, how much they know each other, how their instincts are so attuned to the other, especially Sasuke. Sasuke is certainly an observant person but his knowledge of Naruto is just too accurate. Not just his appearance (and why wouldn't it? Just see how much Sasuke stares at Naruto throughout, because it's too difficult for him to escape that 'gaze' of his lol) but his mannerisms, his insecurities and weaknesses.
Tumblr media
His laser sharp focus on Naruto is so evident. And it's not only that, he goes OUT of his way to protect Naruto.
Tumblr media
These fans should really ask themselves if this was really needed. Naruto was being flung around by a transformed Gaara left and right before this. And Sasuke was already injured and completely out of juice. Naruto would have gotten bruised at most here. Why would Sasuke go so out of his way to cushion his fall? And why would Kishi make Pakkun point it out too? Sasuke doesn't do this type of thing for ANYONE else. Absolutely no one. So what impression does it make? How exactly do these fans read this scene? Or they just conveniently ignore whatever doesn't satisfy their agenda? That's how denial works lol.
Sasuke retrieval arc. Not only is it remarkable that the entire arc is about Naruto trying to protect Sasuke, to bring him back so that his life isn't jeopardized at the hands of Oro, but just the sheer amount of space and footage Kishi gives to vote 1. Eight freaking chapters. A world famous manga where every single panel counts, eight chapters were devoted by Kishi to make sure that their bond, the intensity of that bond, their intimacy comes out clearly. Why? Is Kishi dumb? Like these fans are? No. He wanted to make sure that absolutely no stone was left unturned for the reader to understand what their bond is really about and how freaking intense it is. The whole point why Naruto simply couldn't digest the fact that Sasuke would actually be trying to kill him, was because Sasuke, at every point, SHOWED Naruto how important he was to him.
Tumblr media
Naruto simply couldn't compute that Sasuke would do this to him. And this is exactly why Naruto was pushed to say - Can you kill me calmly, Sasuke? in a big ass panel. So much build up man. Like goddamn. Kishi put so damn much emphasis on it because of this. Why?
Because it was contradictory behaviour. Naruto couldn't believe Sasuke would even consider killing him because of the kind of insane lengths he went to, to protect Naruto. Even at the cost of his own ambition and freaking life. Why would Sasuke do it for him? Why would Sasuke jeopardize everything that is important to him, killing Itachi and restoring his clan's honour ie, for someone he doesn't care about? Does this look one sided?
I mean if even after all this, one feels so convinced that Sasuke doesn't care about Naruto in this manga, maybe go back to reading Archie? lol.
And even after the fight, the crazy power ups, what with breaking out hidden strengths with Sharingan evolution and kyuubi chakra and kyuubi cloak and curse mark transformation, they fight and fight, their faces incredibly pained at hurting each other like this, and Sasuke manages to overpower Naruto with SO MUCH effort........all for this.
Tumblr media
Sasuke hovering over an unconscious Naruto. This scene has so much tenderness, so much emotion, so many panels were drawn to highlight this emotion. The clouds finally breaking through to give way to a beam of light that centres on Naruto's face and then gently fades away, while Sasuke is standing atop Naruto, looking down, at his face as he lies there unconscious and injured at the hands of Sasuke. As rain patters down on Sasuke's face, he says with such anguish and emotion - Naruto, I.....
But then dramatically falls down on his knees as the aftereffects of his curse mark make themselves known and ends up right over Naruto's face, looking at his closed eyes with so much pain and longing.
What was that about? Is Kishi stupid? Are all his editors stupid? What about the publication house? So these fans are the only smart ones in the universe? That must be it. Lol.
Think about it.
Sasuke was planning to kill his closest friend at Itachi's suggestion because that would have given him access to Mangekyou Sharingan and he would have come much closer in strength to Itachi, right? Naruto was completely disabled, right at Sasuke's mercy. Sasuke had the PERFECT opening. Sasuke was one second away from gaining that power. Something he battled hard for. Like hard hard. But what did he eventually decide? He decided not to.
Why? Do fans not see the contradiction in Sasuke's behaviour? Why would Sasuke have abandoned the perfect opportunity of gaining the power required to kill Itachi, someone he was absolutely ITCHING to kill, in favor of training with Oro, a man he despises, a man he very well knows has evil intentions towards Sasuke, for THREE fucking years when he could have skipped all of that here by killing Naruto in a matter of seconds??
Why?
Because he loves Naruto. Sasuke decided if being powerful enough to kill Itachi meant that he would need to kill his most precious, his usuratonkachi, then he would rather come up with his own way to become stronger. Even if it took him waaaay more time and effort, even if he could taste the desire to kill his brother on his tongue like blood, even if it meant giving up his body to someone like Oro, he would do it if it meant Naruto would still keep living.
#self-sabotage
During the reunion, he tells Naruto that he would give his body to Oro over and over if it meant he would be able to kill Itachi. So all of THAT is acceptable to Sasuke but not killing Naruto. Sasuke is not Itachi. Sasuke is his own person, and he would make his decisions based on his feelings, he will not pander to his brother. Because he is him and he loves Naruto.
But that didn't stop him from being entirely devastated at being separated from Naruto. Crushed. Heartbroken. As he is shown having left Konoha and entering the darkness, his face, paralleled with Naruto's own as he is carried away by Kakashi, shows his true feelings about separating from his most precious person. Someone with whom he feels like family.
During their reunion, Naruto asks Sasuke why he left him alive? Why he didn't kill him off? Naruto knew Sasuke had the best opportunity to do it. But he didn't do it. Naruto knew very well that Sasuke didn't kill him for the same reason he protected Naruto all those other times. Because Sasuke really cared for him, he valued Naruto.
Tumblr media
Sasuke deflects. He tells him he doesn't need to explain it to him. Naruto looks skeptical. Then he says he left him alive on a whim. And of course Naruto doesn't believe him. Naruto knows Sasuke is lying. Is Sasuke a person who would do things on a Whim? Is that how he is characterized in the manga? What other thing did he do on a whim? Sasuke says that even Oro was not powerful enough to take on Itachi, let alone himself. He could have made things so much easier for himself if he had killed Naruto and gotten MS, but no. If Naruto didn't mean so much to him, what was stopping him to kill Naruto? Even when the stakes were so damn high?
When Naruto asks him why he let him live during the reunion, Sasuke is actually struggling to answer him. He feels vulnerable. Look at his face when he says that emotions weaken a person, causes confusion. He knows this from experience. Because he couldn't kill Naruto. He again sabotaged his own objective, like always, because he just cannot bear to have Naruto hurt. He just cannot. Someone who couldn't even let Naruto be freaking bruised by a tree trunk, who cannot even let Naruto go hungry for a mere few hours even at the cost of his own freaking disqualification, can he kill Naruto so easily? Heh. The narrative is doing its work. Sasuke is a simp for Naruto man. Even if Sasuke isn't able to say what he feels due to self preservation and his own tsundereness, the reader knows the truth. How? Because we aren't blind or stupid. We know how to read. We enjoy stories and storytelling.
The crux of it all was that Sasuke wasn't able to kill Naruto even though it would have had been really really advantageous for him in reaching his goal. But. At what cost? By killing Naruto? No way in hell. Heh.
Honestly, Sasuke says everything himself. No one has to look anywhere else. He knows Naruto is his weakness. He simply cannot help himself when it comes to Naruto. That's why he says he needs to cut him off in vote 2. As long as Naruto is alive, and keeps getting in Sasuke's way, Sasuke would never be able to help himself. Everytime Naruto comes along, Sasuke's objectives and goals take a backseat, in fact, go right out the window. Sasuke is defined by love, led by love, motivated by it, inspired by it. Itachi taught him how to hate. But Naruto was the one who caught his nerve, who reached his heart, who made him warm and fuzzy, who taught him to love, to accept love, to let himself be loved. By Naruto.
Sasuke says he will be the darkness, and live on by eating the ashes. He needs to be the darkness to be the true hokage, that's his goal. But how can he be the darkness if Naruto, the light incarnate, fills him with the light of his love? With his warmth and care and affection?
Sasuke's actions towards Naruto are often contradictory. During the reunion, Naruto is urged by Kurama to draw on his power, but Naruto resists and then Sasuke (who just couldn't stop staring at him throughfuckingout) enters his mind space and makes the kyuubi retreat. Why should it matter to him? Why should he even feel the need to be there? He already knows that Naruto has a special power. So he glided down like an angel, hugged Naruto (which he really really didn't need to do), whispered in his ears (why are you here Naruto when you could be out there training huh? huh?), and then was so damn focused on him that Yamato found the opening to attack Sasuke even though Sasuke is a person thoroughly anal with being on guard all the time?
#self-sabotage
And I only mention this because Sasuke's character is already established as someone who is not a touchy feely guy. When a character does something out of character, it registers itself in the reader's mind. You simply cannot deny it. Kishi put so much effort in writing and drawing him, do these fans think all this comes out of oblivion? No thought, no idea behind it? So if Sasuke is made to do something out of character, there must be some reason for it, no? Except when it comes to Naruto, it is in character for Sasuke to do something he doesn't rationally intend to. Because love is not rational.
Sasuke was already reminded by Sai of Naruto. Sasuke is told that Naruto is still looking for him. And then Sai proceeds to disparage Naruto, and how does Sasuke react? He genjutsues his ass. Lol. Don't you think it is a disproportionate action for Sasuke to do this if he didn't care about Naruto?
Tumblr media
Like when fans are used to big actions, big gestures and big reactions, which are typical of shounen, they often miss out on more subtle actions and reactions. But just because they don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. I am sorry (not) but SNS fans cannot be blamed for other fans' ignorance and incompetence at media comprehension.
This might be subtle by shounen standards but it's not that subtle. These fans would certainly benefit from watching a wider variety of media. Learning more about how narrative and visual language works. If they can't see that Naruto and Shippuden are a love story, it's a problem, for them. Because what a waste of their time and energy.
Sasuke looks at the Great Naruto bridge and smiles fondly. Why do you think Kishi put this panel here? Why was it needed? What purpose does it serve? Every panel counts right? When Sasuke is told of Naruto defeating Pein, he smiles like he is proud of Naruto. Why? What was even the need to do that? If Kishi means to tell the audience that Sasuke wants to kill Naruto because he hates him or doesn't care, why the hell would he put these panels there so strategically that give exactly the opposite impression to the viewer, and the impression that they give is completely consistent with how Sasuke acts with him in part one? I seriously cannot fathom the amounts of denial these fans must need in order to simply erase and sweep these multiple moments, scenes and dialogues under the rug.
What is even the point of reading this manga? And what exactly makes them so righteous about it too that they have the audacity of criticising SNS fandom for shipping the boys? Who told them they could do it? Who the hell are these people to say shit like this? Who told them they had the qualification? Because the comprehension that they show indicates they should still be reading nursery rhymes. Like learn how narrative works, learn how imagery works, learn how a scene works, learn how mise en scene works, learn what an arc is, learn how characterization works, learn how literary tools and tricks work and THEN talk about it if you are so sure. But hell, if they actually cared to learn all that, they wouldn't be saying this shit. Hell, don't do any of it, just be honest with yourself. That is enough. But no. They are way too precious for that. Learning is beneath them. Lol.
Ignorance breeds more ignorance.
Sasuke saves Naruto during the war arc over and over again, even when it wasn't needed or doing it with so many extra measures, they were unnecessary, so much so that even Naruto is taken aback by it. Why? What impression does it give to the reader? Isn't it reminiscent of part one, when Sasuke saved Naruto from the evil tree trunk? Because he is just so damn protective of his precious boyfriend, his one and only........friend. Lol. This is how narrative works man, psychological and emotional manipulation. That's what storytelling is all about, and talented writers/storytellers/creators understand the concept of perception very well. Perception of text, visuals and sound effects.
Think of the story as a patchwork rug that is patched with complementary coloured pieces of fabric stitched with connecting threads that bring out the brilliance of the rug. An audio-visual story or a film works the same way, where the visuals/scenes are thoughtfully edited and joined together with strategically placed complementary visual effects, text and sound effects to bring out the messaging and impact that the storyteller wants to convey to the reader. The talented a writer/creator is, the smoother and believable the narrative is, the more perceptive he is, the more his intent comes out and makes itself known to the reader, the greater its impact on the reader.
Kishi wrote them as the main act. That is the truth. Everything is intentional.
Tumblr media
During vote 2, Sasuke is so damn emotional fighting with Naruto. He climbs on his lap and punches him senseless, and Naruto takes it. It's obviously a parallel to vote one when Naruto climbs on Sasuke's lap and punches him senseless and Sasuke takes it. Does this look like a normal fight? Where else do players fight like this in the manga? Any other example?
No.
It's an emotional fight. They are not fighting for political reasons or to prove a point. The fight is emotional. Just like vote 1. Both are nerve wracking. Emotional overload. Mind short circuits. Lol. Here are two characters who are experiencing them and I can't even read about it without curling on my bed and holding my torso tight because it's just too much man. And I am not easily affected. I have seen all sorts of melodrama and I thought I was immune. Fortified. But damn Kishimoto, he just wrecked me. Sigh.
This sort of reaction doesn't come out of oblivion. Fans who say shit like the one in this ask, have no idea how much effort and thought and emotion it takes to write something like this.
Sasuke didn't show this type of emotion even when he was battling Itachi. He was composed and in control. But with Naruto, he loses it. Why? Because he is doing something he doesn't want to. Not in the heart of his hearts.
Killing Naruto is a requirement for him because for him, Naruto has become an emotional liability. He loves Naruto despite his better judgment. He loses all perspective when he is with Naruto. No matter how strong his convictions are, Naruto makes his heart flutter. His resolve weakens. That is why he left Konoha in the first place. He says to Naruto - Did I get stronger playing around with you?
Hatred towards Itachi was his motivation to get strong enough to kill him. But if Naruto kept making him fall in love more and more, how would he kill Itachi?
The whole reason Orochimaru separated them was because Naruto was changing Sasuke, meaning, he was healing Sasuke.
Naruto and only Naruto, had the power to do that. If Sasuke had completely given over to his feelings for Naruto, no way he would have been able to carry on his revenge plans. A heart filled with love cannot hate. Unless that love is taken away forcefully, then the love transforms into hate.
Naruto tells him he simply won't let him be alone. Naruto understands why Sasuke wanted to kill him. To be alone. To be devoid of love. Love would have been a hindrance to his goals. But it would have meant unending loneliness for Sasuke. Darkness. Pain. Misery.
And Naruto wouldn't have it. No way siree bob. Not on his watch. Naruto loves Sasuke. Beyond comprehension. Just like Sasuke loves Naruto. He simply WON'T let Sasuke be alone because Naruto understands what it means to be lonely. That was the point of their intersection in the first place. Naruto won't let Sasuke be alone because he cares for Sasuke's well being. If Naruto is obsessively in love with Sasuke, and he IS, and proudly too, it's because Sasuke simply won't be swayed with anything less. Naruto had to have immense amounts of love for Sasuke to counter the immense hate in Sasuke. If you want to call it obsession, fine. But the more appropriate term is - Devotion. Something that Kishimoto himself uses when he makes Yashamaru explain love to Gaara. It's called context building.
Sakura? Can she even compare? With Naruto? Bah. She was prepared to kill him in kage arc when Naruto was preparing to lay down his life for him shinjuu style.
She made every confession to Sasuke about herself. Naruto made it about Sasuke. If it weren't the case, Sasuke wouldn't have listened to him in the kage arc. Sasuke was bent on killing Sakura and Kakashi, drunk on power and grief, but he calms down when Naruto confesses to him. And accepts Naruto's proposal. Are these fans telling me Sasuke is shallow and stupid enough to fall for it if he didn't care? Will they not give Sasuke the agency to make the right decision for himself? What he wants to do? Will these fans take away from his intelligence by saying shit that goes against his characterisation and arc development? So Kishi is wrong and these fans are right about him? Lol. The levels of delusions.
When Naruto tells Sasuke that he hurts when Sasuke does, that he hurts so much, he cannot stand it, look at Sasuke. Why would he be so taken aback? Why? Why is he so affected if he didn't care for Naruto? When Sasuke asks him why he goes to such lengths to save Sasuke, Naruto tries to distract him from it and Sasuke gets triggered. Is Sasuke really a person who would get triggered like this if he didn't feel for Naruto? Sasuke asks Naruto with such delicacy and hesitance - But what does friend mean to you? Why does he want to know? How does it matter to him if he didn't care?
Why would Kishi write this stuff in this conclusive chapter? Is it meaningless? Does it not say anything about Sasuke's character? Like I know people twist it and twist it some more, but really, the simplest explanation is always the right one. It might not be as direct, but if you really gather all the data and compute it without prejudice, you can and definitely will see it for yourself. Storytelling can be layered you know. Why be as bad as those dudebros? Even dudebros call him Susgay. Because even if they cannot comprehend much more than that, they can feel it. Why? Because that's how Kishi wrote him. That's how storytelling works.
Dang, when Naruto assures him of his love for Sasuke and his trust in him, Sasuke cries. Fucking cries man. Is Sasuke a person who would emote meaninglessly? The only other person who affects him enough to make him cry is Itachi. Are these fans saying that Itachi meant nothing to Sasuke?
Notice how at peace he looks when he says - I have lost..
Why should he feel at peace? Why? Because he finally accepts love. He is convinced of it. Naruto reminded him of his bonds with his family, something he always wanted, something he missed deeply when they had gone. But now, he can let himself feel it again.
Kishi had already thought of this ending back in 2009, or even before. Not a retcon. Regardless, if these fans had any sense, they could tell it from the story itself.
In conclusively significant chapter 698, in Sasuke's monologue, it is finally revealed that Sasuke, after all that he did to and with Naruto, had always had an eye on Naruto. He had had always felt weak for him. He felt warm and fuzzy. He resonated with Naruto's loneliness. Every little thing that he did for Naruto, all his sacrifices even when the audience couldn't really find commensurate with their dynamic back then in part one, were revealed to be Sasuke's acts of love for Naruto. Because this boy had been loving him since then, since they were eight years old, even when Naruto had no clue. He didn't ask for anything back, nothing in return, he just LOVED. As he knew how to. Not with big declarations of love and guilting the other party, like Sakura or Hinata for Naruto, but with actions and genuine heartfelt emotions. Because that's what unconditional, genuine, devotional, true love is all about. Isn't it? Naruto's zeal, spirit and desire to connect made him think about his bonds with his family, the centre of his emotional core. And it grew more and more as they trained together and fought together being part of the same team. Naruto had reached the core of his heart when Naruto was not even aware of it. Naruto's own acts of love came much later. But Sasuke's were just there, even when the audience couldn't clock it out. This is how Kishi wrote Sasuke. THIS is Sasuke's character. His stans think they really get Sasuke, think he should be a single man and get rid of annoying Naruto. They DON'T get him AT ALL. Sasuke is about love, that he had been giving Naruto unconditionally all this time. Without asking for any thing in return. Because that's who Sasuke is, because that's how strong and selfless his character is. Because he is a fucking legend of a person. He learnt something at age 8 that takes people a lifetime to learn, despite all the odds he faced. Despite Itachi's every attempt at filling him with hate, Sasuke knew how to love. Sasuke IS LOVE.
If these fans don't wanna see it, it's one thing. But don't come for the SNS fandom. This story is a love story. About them. There are more than a dozen literary romantic references, drawn from Asian media and symbology, very evident to people who know about it already. So all of that is wrong and these fans are right who can't even fucking read right? Do I give them a badge of honour? Yep, bravo. Lol.
I have done a lot of cringey shit in my life, but fortunately for me, there's no evidence left except in my own memories. Sad thing is these fans will potentially grow up one day and see it all differently. And mark my words, they will cringely cringe at their cringeworthy behaviour and takes. Which is all DOCUMENTED for everyone to see. Lol. Nothing much they can do about it. But they can always learn. To be better.
Conclusion -
If Naruto is, as they say, obsessed with Sasuke, it's because he learnt from the best of the best. Sasuke. 😏

Soft
(CW for body image issues, disordered eating)
Billy's getting soft, and Eddie doesn't draw attention to it at first, because he wants to enjoy it as long as he can.
The last thing he wants is for Billy to relapse into overdoing his exercises, his weight lifting, counting calories, protein, and carbs.
Billy hasn't measured out his portions in almost six months. He hasn't stared at the nutrition facts panel on a box for over five minutes in almost five months. He hasn't lifted weights and exercised to the point of exhaustion in almost a year.
He indulges in dessert at least once a week, and he doesn't look around the room as if expecting danger. He has a beer and takes his time to enjoy it. He shares more joints with Eddie, and doesn't fight the munchies when they come.
Last week, he shared a plate of chili cheese fries and a greasy, oversized burger with Eddie- he even had a Coke with it.
He still goes for runs, or swims laps, but instead of them being daily occurrences, he does them when he has time, because he's slowly replacing over exertion with hobbies he never allowed himself to enjoy.
Eddie comes home from his shift with Gary to find Billy sitting on the bed, hair pulled up in a sloppy bun, chewing on a pen, surrounded by books and notebooks.
Edgar Allen Poe. Mary Shelley. Oscar Wilde. William Blake. Bram Stoker.
He's comparing them, writing notes in his small, neat, precise handwriting. He also has a large book of Blake's watercolors open on "Book of Urizen- the creation of Urizen in material form by Los, 1794."
Eddie's never been much a literary nerd- he prefers to write and create his own works, rather than read what was written a long time ago. Still, he knows about Blake, and how the religious themes are important to Billy, because he's been struggling with them due to his upbringing.
Eddie's happy to see him fully investing his time and attention to something he enjoys- and is clearly absorbed by.
But what really has him smiling, is how Billy's stomach now has two gentle rolls to it as he leans forward to look at a page before taking another note. How he has the start of love handles visible from the waistband of his shorts digging into his hips.
Physically, Billy is getting soft, while sharpening his wits, and Eddie has never been more attracted him than he has been in that moment, seeing his softness paired with his hungry mind, proof that Billy isn't ignoring any of his appetites anymore.
Eddie comes into the room and sits on the edge of the bed, pulling off his boots. Billy looks up and smiles, the expression lighting up his face.
"Didn't hear you come in."
"Didn't want to interrupt," Eddie replies, leaning over to plant a kiss on Billy's cheek. "You look like you're in the middle of something."
"Really into the Book of Urizen right now. Something about the conflict between him and Los makes me think of how I had to deal with Neil."
Eddie lifts a brow.
"How so?"
"Urizen wields nets, with which he ensnares people in webs of law and conventional society," Billy says, reading from his notes. "While Los, his counterpart, is an aspect of art and imagination, and in their struggle to control the world, Los and Urizen fall and bind each other in human forms."
Eddie frowns.
"I don't get it."
"Their downfall was that they wouldn't stop fighting, and it warped their purpose. I've been fighting Neil so long, I lost sight of who I am, and what I want, even how I feel about my body. I was bound in a human form Neil forced me to take, and my fear of him... made me keep it that way."
"Not recently," Eddie says gently, kissing Billy's shoulder. "And I've never seen you happier."
"I've never been happier," Billy agrees, then frowns.
"I struggled with it for a while, you know."
Eddie nods, but says nothing. He knows Billy well enough that the silence isn't the end of his train of thought- it's the calm before the storm of words that he needs to get out.
"I was worried I'd get bad again. Over doing it, going back to constant working out, skipping meals, or only eating protein. I was worried that I'd need to be that same person in high school, the same build, even though he's not a threat anymore. He's far away, out of my life, but he still has a hold on me."
Eddie leans against Billy, providing silent, solid support as Billy continues.
"But I see how you look at me, Eddie," he says. "I saw when I took my shirt off yesterday, and how your eyes lit up. The way you smiled when we shared that really greasy meal."
He looks at Eddie meaningfully.
"I feel how your hands linger on my hips at night. I can feel your fingers run over my stomach when you think I'm asleep."
Eddie flushes.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, Billy-" he begins, but Billy puts a finger to his lips.
"I'm not good with words. Never have been. Not with saying them, and definitely not with accepting them. If you told me you like how I look now, I wouldn't believe you."
His face lights up as he smiles again, the beginnings of crow's feet at the corners of his eyes wrinkling in contentment, and those tiny little lines take Eddie's breath away, knowing that his happiness is becoming such a regular thing that it's leaving its mark in his skin.
"The way you touch me when you think I'm asleep, or when you think I won't notice- I do, and it means more than any of your silly speeches. You don't blow it out of proportion, you don't draw attention to it."
Billy rests his head on Eddie's shoulder.
"You just love me, the way I am, and you never ask me to change, but you appreciate and encourage me in your own, unspoken way every time I make changes for the better, and it keeps me from going back, from second-guessing those changes."
"Because I love you, and I want you to be happy and healthy, babe," Eddie says, reaching up and pushing a lock of hair behind Billy's ear.
"And I know I haven't said it until now, but Billy... I love seeing you soft and content."
Billy laughs, looking at his notes.
"Kind of arrogant to compare myself to a mythical figure," he says, but there's no self-derision in his voice, only amusement.
Eddie grins.
"I'll have you know, Dionysus is one of my favorite mythical figures, and everyone agrees- that god knew how to party, was a symbol of fertility, just an overall rock star."
Eddie lifts a brow.
"And in most of the statues and art of him? He's built just like you- sometimes, even with man tits."
Billy laughs, flushing a bit.
"Are you saying I've got a godly figure?"
"Not just saying it- I'm stating it as fact."
Billy smiles, and closes his notebook, stacking his books up and putting them on the nightstand along with his pen. He pulls Eddie to him, and grins wickedly.
"Well then, Eddie," he breathes. "Worship at the altar of my body."
Eddie can't get either of their clothes off fast enough.

GROUP 1
How will you meet this person?
(High Priestess, The Magician, 5 of Cups Reversed, The Fool, Ace of Wands, Page of Wands Reversed)
Literally, anything that is connected to witchcraft, religion or spirituality in general. Could be church if you're Christian, could be an esoteric shop, could be a specific event where witchy people meet up or have their rituals, coven maybe. So again, anything that is connected to beliefs but also magic and rituals. This is a brief description because for every single one of you it's going to be a different situation. There's a lot of energy flowing so I think of a place where there are lots of people and it's a little bit chaotic, a lot is happening. One thing is for sure; you're going to be in a good place mentally when you meet. Look out for Aquarius season (January/February) and Aries season (March/April). For others of you Scorpio/Cancer season.
Who are they?
(Hierophant, 7 of Pentacles Reversed, Queen of Cups Reversed, Knight of Wands Reversed, 5 of Pentacles, 8 of Cups Reversed)
They are a very serious person with strong male energy. If I had to compare them to someone, it would be Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. This is this type of person; kinda cold, serious, strict, well-mannered, calm, critical, doesn't talk much, doesn't like social activities, prefers to be alone, cynical, and someone who complains. Just imagine Mr. Darcy! They're a pessimist for sure, but someone who is loyal and has a hard time letting go of people they love. They repress their feelings a lot and are not very good at social cues. Their career is well-developed, and they have money or prestige for sure. Their love language is acts of love and quality time. They are not fond of physical love or affirmations. Likes books. Would like to have a partner that is equal when it comes to intelligence and hobbies.
Their energy has strong earth vibes (especially Capricorn) but let's see what the cards say.
Astro Details from my Astro Cards: Sun/Ascending in Fire Sign, influential/stelliums in 12th/6th/3rd house, Saturn in Earth Sign or influential Saturn, influential Venus/Pluto, influential Aquarius. We have lots of Air and Earth energy.
From Tarot: influential Taurus/Cancer/Leo, Saturn/Mercury in Taurus, Saturn in Pisces.
So, in conclusion: strong Saturn/Capricorn/Taurus energy, strong earth and air energy.
The energy of the connection.
(ALL REVERSED - 4 of Wands, Page of Cups, High Priestess, Queen of Pentacles, Justice, 7 of Pentacles)
This connection will require a lot of work from both of you. You are different people, sometimes too different to communicate properly and this connection is here to teach you how to fix whatever needs fixing. It's a very important connection for you, dare I say karmic. Will you be long together? I can't say, it varies from person to person. All I know is it's going to be very tiring and frustrating as if you can't find the same wavelength. There are feelings, of course, but your person will not be used to expressing themselves when it comes to emotions and what's underneath and you're just going to ask and ask because you want to know them but they're so mysterious all the time. There's a lot of stress, and hardly any fun. Will you be happy with this connection? No. I think it can last a few months but you will quickly see negatives.
Channeled message from this person.
(The World Reversed, 6 of Pentacles, King of Swords, Strength, 10 of Wands, 5 of Wands Reversed)
I wish we had more time together; I really tried, you have to believe me. It just feels like the world was against us and our relationship was always destined to fail. I would give you everything I could and I would buy you everything you wanted, but you didn't want my money or fancy stuff. You just wanted someone that will fulfill your emotional needs and I thought I could, but in reality, I am unable to make you happy. We were both fed up and exhausted. I know I'm too rough on the edges and the soft side of me is so well-hidden that no one has seen it yet. I didn't want to fight so I let you yell at me and say whatever you wanted to tell me, hoping it would be enough; hoping I didn't have to express my feelings for you. I wish I could do things differently, but then again, I probably wouldn't.
The Universe's take on this connection.
(Pond, Noose, Yesod, Phanuel, Uriel, Peaceful Among The Thorns, Atonement, Malady, Sweetheart, You Deserve Love, Chemistry, Mookaite Jasper, Carnelian)
With the Pond and Noose (they come from the same deck) it's like... "I will save you from drowning but you have to hang yourself" type of connection. As in there was never a good option or a way to fix whatever was wrong between you. You can drown in a Pond or you can die by a Noose. There was never an option of saving this connection.
Malady and Sweetheart: those two cards only show women so it's almost like the only one that was driven to bed (as in sick) was you. Your person was fine, you were the only one getting the short end of a stick, so to speak. From this energetic person to a nightmare-looking person. This connection was just bad for you.
Yesod (Root/Connection), Phanuel (Angel of Truth), Uriel (Angel of Flame): Yesod "forms the gate between physical and spiritual", it's also the last emanation so in this relationship, the connection is severed or non-existent. You're just from different worlds. Uriel, on the other hand, just tells me of a more physical/sexual aspect of your connection. The flame is weak, Uriel "knows only yearning" and here the attraction is... not there. Maybe you just have different views on sex or different kinks. Now, finally, Phanuel here means that both of you knew what were you going into, you knew the truth of this connection, yet you chose it.
Chemistry and You Deserve Love: another sign of no chemistry, my dudes and You Deserve Love just means you deserve better. Not that this person was toxic, they weren't for you, that's all.
Mookaite Jasper and Carnelian: this connection is a challenge and a learning experience so treat it as one. There are misunderstandings and differences in the sexual area.
Frequency: earthy to medium/high. Chakras: base x2, sacral x2, earth star. Soul Path: drawing on ancestral wisdom and expressing soul vitality. Mookaite Jasper: You are what you eat. Good nutrition with wholesome organic foods sustains your well-being. Carnelian: Sufficient vitamins and minerals support your metabolism for optimum well-being.
Atonement and Peaceful Among Thorns: for something beautiful to appear in our life, we have to go through shit and mud. We have to pay more than what is due, creating closure. You can't speed or slow this process down, you can't manifest just because you don't want this tough connection.

How will you meet this person?
(6 of Wands Reversed, The Moon, Page of Wands Reversed, The Fool Reversed, 7 of Wands, 4 of Swords Reversed)
It's going to be a cold summer night somewhere outdoor. I see a bonfire for some of you, for others of you a lake and you are just observing the moon. Fishing maybe? Maybe it's a trip with your friends; you know, this kinda trip where you don't know any people, food and entertainment is already paid for. I'm not talking about any abroad vacation, I'm not even sure it's a vacation. It's a max 2-day trip. I see woods and general nature, away from the city center. The timing is whenever the weather is the warmest. Actually, you might know this person or not, I don't see any particular information about that but with the Fool Reversed it's like.... I know you and you can't fool me. So for some of you, you know this person. Could be even a school reunion!
Who are they?
(Hierophant, 5 of Swords Reversed, Ace of Swords, Emperor Reversed, High Priestess, 2 of Pentacles)
Their energy is very difficult to read. This is someone who is grounded but has a spiritual side. They're pretty balanced out, has female energy. They don't say what they truly mean; they hide a lot. It doesn't mean they're lying, it just means they're very avoidant with the truth. There's some blockage with communication. They portray themselves as someone weak or someone who is not a danger to others - they know they can be vicious though but I don't think they manipulate others on purpose. They're very elusive, whatever that means. Again, it's a very difficult energy to read.
This person has strong water energy.
Astro Details from my Astro Cards: Venus in Earth/Water Sign, Mercury in Air/Earth Sign, stelliums/influential 8th/2nd house, influential Sun/Pluto, Pluto in Air Sign, influential Scorpio. Very strong Scorpio as well as Venus/Mercury.
From Tarot: Taurus, Aries, influential Moon, Venus in Aquarius, Jupiter in Capricorn, influential air energy.
In conclusion, very strong water/air/earth placements. VERY BIG Scorpio energy (Pluto and 8th house as well), but Mercury/Venus is significant as well.
The energy of the connection.
(2 of Swords Reversed, Knight of Pentacles, 5 of Wands Reversed, Knight of Swords Reversed, 3 of Wands Reversed, 2 of Wands Reversed)
This is something that will develop very slowly. There's a lot of uncertainty here and cowardice as well. Both of you are afraid to cross a certain boundary so whatever you have won't crumble. It could be a friendship that you have and that you're afraid you're going to lose. There's something about the past so there is a group of you that knew this person before. There's a lot of back and forth, playing this game of what the other person thinks. It's all really slow, there's not that much communication but most of all, there is no bravery or initiative to come forward or to push this connection forward. You are focusing on building a strong fundament (or re-building).
Channeled message from this person.
(The World, 5 of Swords, High Priestess Reversed, 9 of Cups, 8 of Cups, Temperance Reversed)
I am unhappy without you. I thought it would be better after I left, I thought I'd be satisfied and free but I want to come back to you. We keep finding each other, doesn't that mean we are destined? I gave you up just so I could have someone better or so I thought. I overestimated myself and underestimated you. I was wrong, we both know that even if we don't say it out loud. I know that trust has been lost but I'll try my best to bring it back, to show you I am worth your time and energy. I got karma for leaving you and it was bad. I was miserable. I am coming back home.
The Universe's take on this connection.
(Janet Frame, Joy Harjo, Mirabai, Sandalphon, Tiferet, Gabriel, Gilded Regret, Is This Me?, Lapis Lazuli, Brandenberg Amethyst, Wedding, Stay Optimistic About Your Love Life, Message, Journey, Ecclesiastic)
Janet Frame, Joy Harjo and Mirabai: this is a person that is yours and you are the person that is theirs, no matter if it's platonic or romantic. When you're together, it feels like home. You belong to stand side by side. However, there are a lot of things to fix and clear, someone needs to take the initiative, otherwise, it could take a long time. But you guys can give each other so much, you're so loyal to each other and you almost worship one another.
Message, Journey and Ecclesiastic: the Universe and Guides are working to bring you guys back together. This connection is guided and protected by outer forces and there is nothing you can do to stop it from existing. You will get a message soon/you will get in contact soon.
Lapis Lazuli and Brandenberg Amethyst: you guys have a past, that's obvious but I think there are some past lives connections that bond you together. It seems like you find each other in every life if you are reborn at the same time, of course. But there is also a huge need for letting go of what once was between you, all regrets and pain. Forgiveness is important.
Frequency: high, extremely high. Chakra: throat, third eye, crown, all. Soul Path: divine reconnection, seeing the perfection in each moment. Lapis Lazuli: Attuning to your own divine nature enhances your well-being. Brandenberg Amethyst: You are perfect exactly the way you are.
Sandalphon (Angel of New Life), Tiferet (Heart/Beauty), Gabriel (Angel of Heralds): Tiferet is the "pillar of balance" and "is without extremes or absolutes". This connection is everything you could ever want in your significant other on a spiritual level. This is it. You are home to each other. Gabriel is another indication of how much this connection is protected by the Universe. Sandalphon is the last angel in this deck. This is it. You complete each other so much you could ascend. I can't say it any clearer.
Wedding and Stay Optimistic About Your Love Life: for some of you, this connection will end in a marriage of convenience, not love. It's not that you don't love each other, you do but not in a romantic way. You do it because why wouldn't you marry your favorite person in the whole world? None of your other relationships worked so might as well have this person even closer. For others of you, your connection will end up in a marriage as well, just in a more romantic way, however, there are still a lot of friendly vibes.
Is This Me? and Gilded Regret: "If the old dream is alive, it's time to go back to it". Both of you will never be happy when you're apart. You need each other for support and understanding. You can't just not talk to each other for several years because deep down, it makes you miserable. You will always miss each other and reminisce about the past. You look for each other subconsciously.

How will you meet this person?
(Two Blank Cards Reversed, King of Pentacles Reversed, Knight of Wands, 4 of Wands, The Hanged Man)
You have either already met them OR there are too many people to exactly say how and where. The one thing I can say for sure is that you will have two (or more) false starts - you will begin your connection by either not liking each other/straight up hating each other OR the fate/Universe/guides will bring you together for a quick chat and the "we have to meet again" and then you don't meet again for like a couple of years. Again, it depends on a person. When it comes to significant places I see a couple of them: lake, concert, party, rave. No specifics. The timing is not up to you and you can't fuck it up; you will get together when you're meant to. At the moment, the energy is quite fast so maybe you're being brought (back) together as you're reading this.
Who are they?
(The Emperor Reversed, The Star, Devil Reversed, 2 of Wands, 8 of Swords, Justice Reversed)
They're the humanitarian, the charitable, the kind. A person who is an advocate for those who are treated unfairly and who has a bad life. They hate politicians, they want to abolish government, and "eat the rich" vibe. Strong male energy; I feel like he's more action than thinking/planning. He's ready to go and to do whatever needs to be done. Reckless at times. Strong sense of justice and morality in general. Sometimes get overwhelmed by the dark side of the world, can get stuck in their head a lot, and be very emotional. They're just a good person, a little bit unstable.... or maybe that's the wrong word, I meant that they are very into their charity work so they can get lost in their ideals. Sometimes not in check with reality, irresponsible. Strong Aquarius vibes.
This person has strong fire/water energy.
Astro Details From My Astro Cards: Mars/Pluto in a fire sign, Neptune/Moon/Ascending in a water sign, Venus in an earth sign, Jupiter in an air sign, influential 11th house, big Scorpio energy, lots of/significant square placements.
From Tarot: significant Aries/Aquarius/Capricorn/Libra, Jupiter in Gemini, Mars in Aries.
In conclusion: very strong Scorpio/Aries influence, some significant air placements as well. Significant Mars/Jupiter.
The energy of the connection.
(10 of Swords, Justice, 5 of Pentacles, Page of Swords Reversed, The Devil, Queen of Pentacles)
This is a highly addictive connection, that's for sure. There's an attraction and mutual understanding, but if we go deep down, major issues start to resurface. You'll realize there are things you didn't talk about or consider before getting together. You enjoyed the idea of this person and the fantasy of being with them - then the reality came and it was disappointing. They are not what you expected them to be once the honeymoon period passes and you take off your rose-colored glasses (you can finally see the red flags). You begin to disagree on almost everything. There were things in the past that you thought you agreed on but now you realize, you have completely different views. But the major issue is how you see the most important parts of living/being together. However, I am not saying this connection can't work. This relationship is here to teach you the downs of sharing a life with another person and how to overcome the obstacles. If you really want to, you can make this work; remember though that it takes lots of work to figure it out.
Channeled message from this person.
(The Fool Reversed, 7 of Swords, 2 of Pentacles Reversed, Justice Reversed, 9 of Cups Reversed, 7 of Cups Reversed)
Will you leave me like everyone else in my life? Will you betray me like them; tell me you love me and you'll stay, then run at the very first sign of my flawed persona. I know I'm not an easy person to love or to be with, but that doesn't mean I deserve to be abandoned. Every time someone tells me I'm difficult, I lose part of myself and get lost in the darkness. It's not fair. I give all I have to others, I want to make this world a better place to live in, yet I can't make people around me happy. It's not fair and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
The Universe's take on this connection.
(True Love, Forgiving and Learning, Death, Love, Chrysocolla, Turquoise, Elixir, Snail, Parasite, Bride In A Cage, Uriel, Yesod)
True Love and Forgiving and Learning: this connection could make you really happy but under one condition: you're willing to compromise and forgive each other. Also, understanding each other and learning how to cope/interact is also important. It's mostly a lesson for both of you, but a lesson that could end in a happy relationship.
Death and Love: you can't see the pictures but they are 2 extremes that exist next to each other. They're looking in the opposite directions, one is looking up while the other is looking down, one is colorful and happy while the other is gloomy and dark. Yet they chose to appear next to each other in reading to symbolize that despite the differences, you still can find a way to work together in harmony.
Elixir and Snail: elixir can kill or make someone ill BUT the snail is so slow to drink it that the elixir loses all its toxic characteristics and became just some weird and awful drink. This is how I could describe this connection. It basically confirms what I said before. You neutralize each other in the right environment, so to speak.
Uriel (Angel of Flame) and Yesod (Root/Connection): this is like the 3rd group that has those 2 cards, it's very frustrating so let me say this: there's an attraction and willingness to make it work. However, if you want to keep this spark/flame alive, you have to cherish and take care of it (aka the root of the spark aka Yesod). Do you feel me?
Chrysocolla and Turquoise: Chrysocolla literally speaks about forgiving, remaining strong during challenges, "accepting what you cannot change" and "rectifying relationships that can be healed". If you're dealing with some trauma from the past, then that also can have a big influence on this connection so... notice the patterns. Turquoise is about karma, "letting go of what no longer serves you" and "speaking what used to be unspeakable". It also tells about good friends.
Frequency: medium to high, earthy. Chakra: throat, third eye, cleanses and activates all. Soul Path: attuning to inner riches, loving and valuing yourself. Chrysocolla: Recognize that bitterness and self-doubt have no place in well-being. Nourish your body with self-love and gentleness. Turquoise: Your true riches lie not in the bank but in your heart.
Parasite and Bride In A Cage: as I said before, this connection can be addicting at times so be careful not to lose yourself. Also, notice when your partner is being an energetic vampire or takes too much from you while not giving anything back. Talk with them about any doubts you might have; don't let yourself be manipulated into a cage from which you won't be able to escape. The same goes for your partner.

How will you meet them?
(8 of Cups, 8 of Swords, 6 of Wands Reversed, The Fool, Blank Card Reversed, 7 of Pentacles)
You'll meet them when you're entering a new phase in your life and when you're the most vulnerable. Could be a move to another city, starting college or leaving a relationship. You're lost and looking for something that will make you comfortable or something that you see yourself staying in. You're looking for your place in the world, somewhere you could belong.
Who are they?
(King of Wands Reversed, Queen of Pentacles, Page of Wands, 6 of Pentacles Reversed, Hierophant Reversed, Chariot Reversed)
They're friendly and charismatic, that's for sure. They have some ugly energy that's hidden under all that charm though and I can't quite put my finger on what exactly is wrong with them. I feel they're a good manipulator or at least they know how to read people and use that to their advantage. For others for you, they have learned how to hide their flaws and less ideal characteristics so people wouldn't be put off by their presence. For some of you, they could have an antisocial personality disorder (psychopathy/sociopathy) BUT that doesn't make them evil or serial killers, just to clarify - also, they don't have to have that disorder, they could be toxic and that's all there is to them. They also could be a narcissist. They experience things differently and that's all you need to know. They are also non-traditional (LGBT, abstract career, an odd sense of humor or hobbies, etc).
This person has water/fire energy.
Astro Details From My Astro Cards: Uranus in an air sign, Pluto in a water/fire sign, influential Pisces, Mars in a fire sign, Jupiter in a fire sign, Moon in a water sign, Saturn in an earth sign, influential Venus, a lot of aspects that work well together (Trine).
Tarot Astro: influential Cancer/Taurus/Capricorn/Sagittarius, Moon in Taurus.
In conclusion: VERY strong water placements (Cancer is the strongest, second is Scorpio, then Pisces), important Moon and Pluto, and strong fire energy (Sagittarius is the strongest), some Taurus and Capricorn influence as well.
The energy of this connection.
(The Devil, 4 of Wands Reversed, Page of Pentacles, The Lovers Reversed, 9 of Swords, 2 of Pentacles)
This relationship exists so you can learn from it and the lesson is painful. This person is The Devil - very charming and hard to resist, they will pull you in and never let you go. It's very difficult to get over them and to be honest, I don't think anyone truly has succeeded at that. They will either try to alienate you from your friends or just test the waters and see how far will you go to satisfy them. This is a very toxic relationship, I'll say that. You will be in a lot of mental pain, I don't see any physical abuse. This person is not capable of love or genuine feelings, at least not for you and you will realize that very quickly; however, this won't stop you from pursuing this connection. Very addicting and toxic energy, something that you will have to cut off on your own because if they can, they will have you in their grasp for as long as it's possible.
Channeled message from this person.
(King of Wands Reversed, Queen of Pentacles Reversed, 6 of Cups Reversed, The Magician, Justice Reversed, The World Reversed)
You stabbed me in the back and hurt me after all that I've done for you? I was so good to you, I would give you starts if it was possible but you decided you don't need me anymore and left. You knew how people treated me in my past, yet you chose to do the same. It's not fair. Why must I suffer this way? You took everything from me just to keep yourself happy and entertained. What about me and my feelings? I learned a lot from this relationship, though. I am stronger than before but I won't give you credit for that.
The Universe's take on this connection.
(Citrine, Quantum Quattro, Is This Me?, Parasite, Getting To Know Each Other, Retreat, Falseness, Blank Card, Azrael, Remiel, Doll, Octavia E. Butler)
Getting To Know Each Other and Retreat: it was very difficult to shuffle this Romance Angels Oracle Deck because lots of cards just flew out constantly. This person will make you a lot of promises and will say sweet words, but they don't mean anything. Learn how to differentiate between false and true.
Falseness and Blank Card: Falseness card is self-explanatory but the Blank Card means that they are able to paint their reality however they want. They will say one thing and then get angry because they never said anything like that!
Doll and Octavia E. Butler: You're just a toy to them, a pretty doll to show off to everyone but no real feelings attached. You fit their personality/appearance and that's enough. Octavia E. Butler tells me they're interested in the dark things and the dark side of the internet. They could be scary at times or they're just very good at taking all options under consideration and picking the best one that suits them.
Azrael (Angel of Death) and Remiel (Angel of Visions): Remiel is here to tell you that you can get through it. This reading might seem scary and now you're terrified but remember that it's a general reading and not everything will resonate or be true for you! Azrael will intervene in this relationship and will give you the strength to end it when you will be ready.
Is This Me? and Parasite: this person is an energy vampire. They make you feel small just so they can feel bigger than they actually are. They are feeding off of you and your pain. This connection will allow you to understand who you are and realize how strong you are to be able to deal with the bullshit they put you through. You have to learn resilience and independence from this relationship.
Citrine and Quantum Quattro: Quantum Quattro literally says "Release yourself from co-dependencies and abusive relationships. Heal your inner child. Recognize the many resources you have to draw on.". You will have to dig deep within yourself and you'll appreciate the people that you have around you that helped you when you needed it the most. There might be some past issues that need awareness. Citrine keeps talking about healing the inner child so you might want to get into that during the relationship.
Frequency: high. Chakra: cleanses, activates, and reenergizes all. Soul Path: embodying abundance, holistic healing for the soul. Citrine: True abundance comes from within. Nurture your desires, do what gives joy to your wise child self. Quantum Quattro: Recognising that you cannot heal anyone else or influence their behavior allows you to focus energy on your own well-being.

How will you meet them?
(Knight of Wands Reversed, Hermit Reversed, King of Cups, Emperor Reversed, 3 of Wands, 2 of Swords Reversed, Temperance)
Meeting them can take a long time. Most of the cards are reversed and also it took me so long to read for groups 5 and 6. I see some maturity and healing have to take place for you guys to come together. There are too many blockages between you - if you meet now, you won't last. There's a need to realize your own potential and find out who you are. Self-reflection and introspection are crucial. Other than that, I see the sea and mountains so maybe you'll meet each other somewhere around the water. Possibly winter.
Who are they?
(King of Cups, 2 of Pentacles Reversed, High Priestess, Ace of Wands, 8 of Swords, 8 of Wands, 7 of Pentacles Reversed)
They are someone who is spiritually evolved and emotionally mature. Kind, caring, and empathetic but also cold, cruel and unforgiving if they want to be. They might have a short temper and sometimes it can overwhelm them. Possible ADHD. They can experience emotions stronger than you, it's more intense for them. If someone breaks their trust, they don't give them another chance. They can get too much in their head and often they need space to figure stuff out. Can be reckless and chaotic. Patience is needed for this person. Lots of motivation and ideas but it also could mean high sex drive.
This person has strong fire/earth energy.
Astro Details From My Astro Cards: Venus/Neptune/Saturn in earth, Uranus in fire, Mars/Ascending in Air, Neptune in water, Aries, Scorpio, Asteroid Lilith. Significant Scorpio/Aries influence, significant Neptune, fire/earth influence, difficult placements in general.
Tarot Astro: Pisces, Jupiter in Capricorn, Moon, Jupiter in Gemini, Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn in Taurus. Significant Jupiter and Sagittarius placements. Strong fire energy.
In conclusion: strong fire energy, influential fire/earth placements, Mars is a complicated placement, difficult Aries/Scorpio influence, significant Jupiter/Neptune and Sagittarius. Some Capricorn energy.
The energy of the connection.
(3 of Cups reversed, Queen of Pentacles Reversed, 9 of Pentacles Reversed, 3 of Wands, King of Pentacles Reversed, Empress Reversed, 4 of Wands Reversed)
There's a huge gap between you guys. You will learn how to love, how to forgive and how to live with each other. A relationship is hard work and this connection will force you to become your best selves. This connection has so much potential, but it will be very difficult at first. All the cards are reversed except 3 of Wands. One person will have issues with jealousy and trust, and the other person will turn to substance abuse when confronted with a problem (or will be an excessive party person, neglecting their partner).
Channeled message from this person.
(Page of Swords Reversed, 10 of Swords, Knight of Pentacles Reversed, Page of Cups, 4 of Pentacles, 3 of Swords Reversed, King of Swords Reversed)
I don't know how to explain to you all the ways I'm hurting inside. I have my demons and they won't leave me alone; I don't know what to do to be happy and make you stay by my side. I know it's difficult to be with me but please don't leave. Words get stuck in my throat and I swallow them - they leave a bitter taste. You teach me how to love and how to cope but I have a long road ahead. Please be patient. I know I can do this. I know I can be better. You've already helped me so much but I still am this pathetic little creature you had met. I'm sorry. Please be patient with me.
The Universe's take on this connection.
(Boar, Toni Morrison, Hope, Enemy, Sahaqiel, Da'at, Pink Granite, Smoky Quartz Elestial, Triumph of Lies, Envious Gluttony, Keep an Open Mind, Heart-to-Heart Conversations, Calling in your soulmate)
Keep an Open Mind, Heart-to-Heart Conversations and Calling in your soulmate: This person will differ from your usual type (could be either in appearance or personality). You will not be convinced you like them but with time, you will grow to enjoy their company. Communication is very important in this connection and this will one of the major issues for both of you. Keep an open mind when it comes to this relationship.
Boar and Toni Morrison: Both of you will have to learn how to keep your ego in check because both of you have strong personalities that might clash. Compromise is important. Masculine energy is strong here - there's a need to get in touch with feminine energy more. Leave the toxic masculinity behind. You don't have to argue and win to still be in control.
Hope and Enemy: The message here is pretty clear. Have hope for this connection and remember that you are not enemies. A relationship is a partnership and fighting and proving the other wrong will benefit no one.
Smoky Quartz Elestial and Pink Granite: Shadow side will come out and it's going to be ugly. You will see each other and yourselves in a new light - you will be surprised at how much darkness you have in you. You will create the fundaments for a healthy relationship after how much you've been through together.
Frequency: earthly, high, exceptionally high. Chakra: all, earth star, higher crown, sacral, base. Soul Path: a lightning conductor for positive change, total transmutation. Smoky Quartz Elestial: No part of you is evil or bad. Embracing your shadow leads you to healing gifts hidden in the darkest reaches of yourself. Pink Granite: Everything must pass away. Death precedes transformation and rebirth.
Sahaqiel (Angel of Sky) and Da'at (Null/Emptiness): When you find yourself in darkness, search for your partner's hand and trust they will not harm you. Compassion and understanding are needed.
Triumph of Lies and Envious Gluttony: Message again about leaving your ego and the need to win behind. You can't win in a relationship. Feelings inside of you will be ugly but sometimes it's important to take what's dirty and show it to your partner so that you can clean it. Let go of the expectations of what a relationship should be. This is your own business and no one else's.

How will you meet them?
(King of Swords Reversed, 9 of Pentacles, Chariot Reversed, 6 of Pentacles Reversed, Star Reversed, 2 of Pentacles, Queen of Swords)
You'll meet them at a bad moment in your life. You will feel stuck and lonely, and you'd avoid people and be unpleasant to others. They come in as someone who has their shit together, who doesn't fuck around and who doesn't tolerate bullshit. Other people will treat you like a delicate flower because you're in a bad space but not this person - they are mature and have a sharp tongue. Just because you're hurting doesn't mean you can be mean to others.
Who are they?
(Judgement, Star, 8 of Wands Reversed, 5 of Pentacles, Knight of Wands Reversed, 6 of Wands Reversed, Hermit)
They are someone who went through a lot in their life. They are mature, serious, independent, and reliable, they stay strong and fight for what they believe. They judge others a lot, and they strive to be their best self. They are calculating and could be cold/emotionless. They have problems with being spontaneous and chill and fun. They treat life very seriously. They need a lot of alone time. They don't talk a lot (I have some difficulties with saying anything more about them).
This person has strong earth energy.
Astro Details From My Astro Cards: Mars in earth/fire, Neptune in air/earth/water, Venus in water, Uranus in air, Aquarius, Leo, Air Element.
Tarot Astro: Pluto, Aquarius, Mercury in Sagittarius/Taurus, Leo, Jupiter in Leo, Virgo.
In conclusion: very strong earth/air energy, very strong Virgo energy, influential Neptune/Mars, very little fire/water placements. Difficult Leo/Aquarius influence.
The energy of this connection.
(7 of Wands, Sun Reversed, Judgement Reversed, Knight of Pentacles Reversed, 6 of Pentacles, 8 of Pentacles Reversed, Knight of Wands Reversed)
It's a very challenging connection. This person will give you financial/material stability and they won't have any problems with spending money on you. However, they're very difficult to deal with when it comes to emotional support. They hide their feelings and prefer not to talk about anything difficult. Talking about emotions with them feels like fighting with a crocodile - you beat the crocodile with a stick for it to just fuck off already. They are very negative and pessimistic. Sex is not important to them (could be asexual as well). It seems like no matter what you do, they don't want to change (or even try to change). This is a very difficult energy to deal with because it's stubborn and fixed.
Channeled message from this person.
(4 of Swords, Ace of Wands, King of Cups Reversed, 4 of Wands, Queen of Swords Reversed, Page of Swords Reversed, 2 of Wands Reversed)
I stopped trying a long ago. I don't know how to make you happy and we fight constantly. There are so many things I will never say to you because it's something that I don't want anyone to hear. I am tired. You make me feel exhausted. I don't see us together if our relationship stays this way. There is a slight hope in me that it will work out in the end but the realistic part of me already knows the answer. I just want to lie down and sleep.
Universe's take on this connection.
(Glove, Janet Frame, Remph, Yesod, I Won't Cry For You, Is This Me?, Bloodstone, Garnet, Blue Lace Agate, Sadness, Constancy, Children, Let Go Of Control Issues)
Children and Let Go Of Control Issues: Major issue in this relationship is how your partner's childhood affects their adult connections. You have to let go of the possibility this person will change or heal - either accept them how they are or walk away.
Sadness and Constancy: Very literal message here. Constant sadness and negativity are present in this connection. It's very unlikely anything will change.
Glove and Janes Frame: This is not a connection you will be happy in, you will realize the huge gap between you guys. Even when you are together, you are truly alone. You have different priorities.
Remph (Angel of Time) and Yesod (Root/Connection): It will be only a matter of time for you guys to split. Your connection might last longer than it should have (or longer than you expected) but it will end inevitably. Seemingly you created fundaments for your connections but they are weak and your relationship falls apart when faced with any major issue.
I Won't Cry For You and Is This Me?: You will question your identity while in a relationship, but also after the breakup. You will feel lost and unsure of what you want anymore. Most of all, you will be angry at this person, at yourself, at the world.
Bloodstone, Garnet and Blue Lace Agate: This connection will show you how important communication and expressing your feelings are. Don't feel discourages by this connection. It happened because it was meant to make you stronger. You will see human relationships in a different way and you will benefit from that. It's fine to make mistakes and love the wrong people.
Frequency: earthly, medium to high, medium. Chakra: purifies and aligns lower chakras, throat, third eye, heart x2, crown, base, and sacral. Soul Path: freedom from the past, expressing yourself fully, expressing your soul's passion. Bloodstone: Nourish your blood and you revitalize your whole body. Garnet: Finding an appropriate outlet for your passions and your emotions creates well-being. Blue Lace Agate: Expressing yourself fully releases shoulder and neck problems, thyroid deficiencies, and throat or lymphatic infections.

Hello hope you're doing well.. uhmm can you write yandere and normal version Roach x female reader headcanons? Please? Have a nice day :)

Roach's unassuming nature is actually his greatest strength. He's like a box of chocolates. You actually never know what you're gonna get with him. It's really like discovering something new just about every day.
Is actually much more facially expressive than he is verbal. You absolutely have to rely on his facial expressions to gauge the veracity of his words.
Has a pretty noticeable scar on the side of his mouth. As a result, Roach's smile is more of a lopsided grin that makes him look uniquely boyish. He was self-conscious about it until you told him that his smile was cute and fit him.
On the flip side, Roach can also be Christopher Walken-esque in his mannerisms at times which makes him unintentionally funny. He doesn't exactly get why you're laughing but... okay. He doesn't think he's an incredibly funny guy in general but whatever floats your boat he supposes. 🙃
His love language is a mixture of physical touch and quality time. It seems few and far in-between that he gets the opportunity to see you. He makes it a point to cherish those moments because he never knows if it'll be his last.
His hugs are always tight, especially before he leaves you to go on an assignment. Loves to kiss your forehead, too, before departing.
Also has no problem alternating between being the big and little spoon. Roach's only condition is that he sleeps on the side of the bed nearest the door because if something were to happen, at least he'll be there to protect you and give you a fighting chance to escape.
Will text you like he journals. Roach is actually a pretty good writer; if he wasn't in the military, you could see him being an author or something else with the literary arts in another life.
Is a homebody at heart; he's seen the world twice over it seems but it's nothing compared to the comfort of the four walls of your home.
Thanks to you, Roach is much more comfortable with being still. Used to get antsy until you helped him through it. It took some time but he absolutely appreciates the moments when he can be still and in the present.

Hey you, space orc!
Sometimes, Dave The Human got mistaken for an actual human, because someone saw the name and mistook her for Dave the Human - an actual Human, currently under the moniker of Phalanges Mitten as part of his deep cover as a female Atrix after accepting a sort-of marriage proposal from a small, actual Atrix.
And then the female Tsin would show up as per request and someone would double take and go 'Oh er'. and they'd call EVA 43, who was known for being an unkillable badass, or Phalanges, who was not known for being an unkillable badass, because he never mentioned the thing with the Thotari assassins or that one time he beat up an entire pirate ship.
This prompted Dave to broach the subject over food in the Cafeteria:
"So... what is a Space Orc?" she asked. Cat fantastic said "Gweep?" and Phalanges and EVA 43 did that thing where they leaned back and swapped significant looks and made 'Mmm, hmmm' faces.
Dave watched Cat Fantastic, Phalanges Little Guy copy the move thoughtfully, and then EVA 43 said. "It's an old joke. Like from before the Wallandernook showed up and got us interstellar."
Dave nodded instead of doing the ear sweep, a carefully learned habit. "Yeah... they got us off planet entirely - Without artificial gravity, we can't do it in person - And of course there's that whole 'oops bombed ourselves into an anti-space doctrine." she said.
Cat Fantastic said 'Graak' and Dave wondered what he meant by 'Nice exposition'.
EVA 43, who's actual name nobody could ever recall for more than a few seconds continued and once again Dave was bemused that the moment she looked away she couldn't picture 43 in any away: not their gender, skin colour... nothing: As though someone had written a character and failed to give them any description at all and for some reason kept up with the gag.
"We have this literary tradition of writing fantasy works - Fiction - With uhhh..."
"Tropes." offered Phalanges.
"Tropes - Yes, OK so one is Orcs. They're barbaric, kind of dumb compared with Humans... but they're a bit bigger, a bit stronger, a bit hardier..."
"So in any physical situation, the Orc is the one who's most likely to survive, discounting any plot necessity." said Phalanges.
"Oh I guess I get it." said Dave. "We've got something similar but it sort of loosely translates as Even Bigger People." - She herself was a Big Female, which was unrelated to size. It just meant that without modern medical intervention she was unlikely to change gender, unlike three quarters of the Tsin population who would swap to maintain gender balance naturally. The connotations were 'The most female type of female', which got adjusted for the benefit of talking to other species.
Cat Fantastic said "Graak." which was true: As a monogendered species who's reproductive roles were defined by body mass out of convenience, and who's actual reproduction was 100% external and more akin to a turtle dumping her eggs and then letting the hatchlings just deal with survival, the Atrix version of a bigger stronger more durable Atrix was literally just the biggest strongest and most durable Atrix that you knew.
And compared to Humans Atrix were fragile: A normal human could walk off injuries that would be incapacitating to an Atrix.
43 famously stepped into hard vacuum with nothing but a surgical gown, after surviving a few hours with life support disabled in a crippled EVA suit, by just being reversibly dead.
They'd done it to save their friend, an Atrix, who had to have a new eye installed, and had life-long scars from mere low pressure exposure that was too low for them to maintain consciousness... a situation that for a human would possibly, if sustained for a while, caused a hickey and dry eyes, maybe a wheeze from inhaling hard.
Phalanges nodded. "So yeah - In comparison to most species, we can survive higher gravity - or no gravity - injuries that would cripple or kill other species with shock - We've got redundant organs, and emergency chemical responses that turn off the limits of our muscles so we can trade massive damage for survival... or not feel pain."
EVA 43 frowned and thought about that, then nodded and ticked off a couple of fingers, "And we can stop breathing for a couple of minutes, consume our own body mass if there's no food, keep moving for longer than almost any other starfaring species...."
Phlanages picked up, "And then pack bond with nearly any organism or object, so instead of getting obliterated by everyone else because we met you guys and reached for a recipe book..."
EVA 43 added "... we can eat a stupid range of food including what a lot of other species consider poisonous chemicals..." to the list.
Phalanges continued cheerfully, "... so you guys were like 'Oh crap, no wait, these dumb monsters are friendly. Maybe they'll pick stuff up and carry it for us.'"
"And do human related stuff." EVA 43 added.
Daver held up both her small hands, the one on her second set of arms. "OK, and it helps you have this really weird flexible language and you're just right in the middle of the audio and visual range almost everyone uses." she added drumming her big claws on the table, which Cat Fantastic mimicked.
"Yeah."
"Squeap." said Dave, making a pity comment in her normal, near ultrasound dialect of Southern Tstktk Tsin. "I do enjoy these weird little culture discussions. But I feel like I'm letting the side down because people keep calling me for space orc stuff."
Phalanges, mouth full of purple breadroll shrugged and gave EVA 43 a look.
43 leaned back and pondered. "OK well... look, it's going to be mostly Atrix calling, right? Humans don't need another human unless it's a specific uh..."
"Phkil" mumbled Phalanges.
"Bingo. And there's just not many Tsin doing work that needs a human. They're mostly in Med or admin where the gravity is safest."
Dave nodded again getting an idea of where this was going.
"So it's Atrix. Therefore..." said 43...
"... you just need to figure out what you can do that they can't." finished Phalanges, "And do it in the most flamboyant way possible."
---
Mothers Pride, looked down at Dave, having requested them to the bowels of the station - An area that really was the bowels as it dealt with the processing and containment of the sanitation system. Which means exactly what you think.
Actually, this was part of Dave's area of expertise, as they were a certified life support specialist like Phalanges. She had the horrifying stains on her jumpsuit to prove it.
"Oh we, er thought you were going to be a human." said Mothers Pride in very formal Tsin.
Two smaller Atrix peered around her, doing complex colour patterns with their faces.
"Well... I am for tax reasons." said Dave. "Is this anything to do with the overheating steriliser?" she asked in her natural colloquial yokel manner.
"How...? Yes, yes, it's in an awkward place and we can't get in because of the heat and the close quarters." Pride said giving Dave a peachy-green look.
"Ah, oh that's no problem. Just let me take a listen... hmmm... OK the circulator pump's not running fast enough..." she said and put her claw tips on the piping, "... yeah feel that, the vibration's about half what you would expect." she said.
The three Atrix simultaneously looked at their tablets where the diagnostics were telling them something similar, at length with less detail.
Then she paused, ears swivelling, making a high clicking sound that made the Atrix twitch minutely flush orange with each ultrasonic burst, and carefully added, "Ah you might want to step back", and rapidly knocked on the pipe as she stepped into the accessway - Too tight for an Atrix. OK for one of the slim wiggly humans, fine for the short and stocky Tsin. There was a startling gurgle and a thrumming vibration: The impellor picking up started pumping the horrible gunk through the system - the increased flow taking the building heat from the pasteurisation unit with it.
Then she shuffled back out with some new trophy stains on her overalls, flicked her ears once and said "Nice working with you, Pride." and ambled back down the corridor.
Mothers Pride and her two interns watched, astounded. They stared at each other, flickering colours on their cheeks and foreheads, amazed.
Dave, who's vision was at the other end of the spectrum to Atrix vision, and who'd been able to see the infrared coming off the machinery as a grainy glow, and who's vocalisations and hearing were good enough to do a little fuzzy ultrasound, had detected the mass choking the pipe (And gotten lucky that strategic knocking had make it move) got all the way around the bend before allowing herself some excited squeaps.
After all, she was a Space Orc now.

Graeco-Roman Art: A Cautionary Tale
There is nothing more common than seeing a statue or painting from Ancient Rome described in these terms:
Roman, 1st-2nd C CE after a Greek original.
The Greek original is almost always lost, so the supposed connection to the assumed original is built around the following approaches:
1. The scanty literary evidence of ancient authors who saw the works themselves and described them to a greater or (generally) lesser degree. The main sources called into service for the Classical period are Pliny and Pausanias.
2. By comparing the statue/painting to others with a similar form; the assumption being that, if there were multiple versions of the same statue/image made, then there must have been an original on which they are all based – and that original is always assumed to be Greek.
3. Drawing conclusions from comparisons of style with that of known artists. Does the statue have similarities in physical composition? Similarities in how, for example, leaves are carved or the way musculature is rendered?
All of these methods are vexed with problems which I will try to break down a little with examples.
Literary Evidence
The literary evidence is never, in my opinon, clear enough to be describing one image, and one image only.
Take the Medea from the House of the Dioscuri at Pompeii.
Tumblr media
She is assumed to be a copy of a (lost) painting completed by Timomachus of Byzantium, bought by Julius Caesar and hung in the Temple of Venus Genetrix in Rome at enormous expense.
Nine Greek epigrams exist describing the work, and it’s on this basis that the painting is considered a copy.
I give an example from the first century CE:
‘Murderous Medea. When the hand of Timomachus was painting her,
as she was dragged in opposite directions by spite and by children,
he took on himself infinite pains to inscribe her schizophrenia,
He got both in full measure-look at the figure: in threats
tears re-surface, and temper in pity.
'Deferral will do just fine', as the sage put it. The blood of children
was right for Medea, but not for the hand of Timomachus.’
[Antiphilus of Byzantium, quoted in Classical Art: From Greece to Rome.]
Such descriptions could just as surely describe any image where Medea hesitates before carrying out her deadly intent as much as it describes this particular scene. Could it not be that a Roman artist, familiar with the mythological story, might come up with such a composition for themselves, without recourse to an original Greek version of the painting?
Comparison with Similar/Other Copies of the same Statue/Painting
While this is perhaps the most likely to lead us to imagine that there is an original which must have been in demand, and hence why there are so many copies of the one subject (the Discobolus, for example; or the Aphrodite of Cnidus), this must surely be approached very cautiously.
For one thing, this search tends to lead art historians to making arbitrary determinations about quality - they seek out those versions which are most similar, and then decide which is the best within that group in the belief that this gets them as close as possible to what they perceive to be the superior original.
This functionally depends on factors which are entirely questionable.
First, that the original was in fact the best; that no one who was imitating the style and form of the projected original couldn’t improve upon it, but would naturally produce an inferior work.
Second, that the original may in fact not be the one of which there are the most examples – a variation made to suit Roman tastes may in fact have been more in demand and hence there would be more copies left behind.
Third, who decides which is superior? On what criteria? Any judgement of this kind is naturally imbedded in the ideology in which the art historian is functioning – for example, French scholars in the 1600’s viewed quality in very different terms than an American scholar might do today.
Finally, the conclusion is almost always that the original must have been Greek. There is no reason whatsoever to believe this, except the cultural snobbery that promotes the belief that Roman sculptors didn’t have the creativity and skill to make their own original work in a Greek style. This is frankly insulting but entirely typical of the dim view many academics take towards Roman art.
Stylistic attributions
This is always a shaky basis for judging art, even in the modern day. We need only look at how many frauds are sold as the works of modern masters to know exactly how easily style can be imitated; but it is even more so when we’re talking about an extremely limited pool of known artists. The temptation will always be to shoe-horn a work alongside a known name.
A case in point is the Belvedere Apollo.
Tumblr media
The Belvedere Apollo was discovered before the beginning of the sixteenth century somewhere in Italy – ‘near Antium’ is generally accepted.
He evokes the perennial questions – where was he made? Was he of Italian craftsmanship or was he looted from Greece? Was he a Roman copy or a Greek original? Can we match him to any masterpieces in bronze or marble described in the literary works of Pliny or Pausanias?
But most importantly here, how firmly might he be placed in the stylistic language of a known famous sculptor?
The fact is, we know nothing about this work other than it was found in Italy probably near Antium; everything else from this point onwards is academic speculation which is in no way fact. Yet looking online, you will find these details everywhere:
Roman copy of a Greek bronze statue of Leochares 350-325 BCE.
Date: 2nd C CE/Imperial Roman.
The fact that there’s no other version of this work known from antiquity, by Leochares or anyone else, is ignored entirely; the attribution has been made on stylistic bases alone, from an assumed similarity to the Diana below.
Tumblr media
Apollo Belvedere is as likely, as far as real evidence can prove, to be a Roman original as it is to be a copy from the Greek. It is as likely to have been crafted by an unknown artist as it is by Leochares or any other known artist.
That’s the truth – we don’t know either way.
Conclusion
This particular commonplace in art history is one of many that afflict the world of historical studies, and ancient history in particular.
Unfortunately, we are the inheritors of an academic tradition in which the phrase ‘we can’t be sure’ was absolutely precluded. We desperately need to put that uncertainty back into our thinking.
[For a much more comprehensive analysis of the problems around this topic, I highly recommend Classical Art: From Greece to Rome by Beard and Henderson.]

I remember you saying earlier (on twitter, not here) that the autobots were kind of boring, since they only fit into a few archetypes. I’ve kind of been thinking about that, and I thought they may also have been boring because of another thing: these few personality types means no one really bounces off eachother, and it doesn’t lead up to any interesting conflict.
This may only apply to G1,or I may just be talking nonsense, but compare them to the decepticons. The decepticons have a lot of different personalities , so they contrast against eachother and a lot of the times, disagree with eachother, creating conflict. However, with the autobots, the similar personality problem can come when no sort of conflict, even ones between certain characters, exists, and everyone has no sort of unique opinions towards eachother. And conflict, you know, makes up a lot for a story and characters.
A lot of people don’t care much about the autobot moments a lot, however you don’t really need to scour the internet to see videos and people posting about Megatron arguing with Starscream or skywarp getting clowned by rumble and frenzy, if you know what I mean.
hey!! wow, it is always surprising when people remember stuff I said lol
I’m admittedly just not really a big autobot fan (if I get the opportunity to write the autobots they’d be very messy) but I totally agree with you here—people seem to like the autobots, conceptually, for very different reasons than people like the Decepticons, and it factors into an interesting dichotomy between how different people view characters as a literary device.
while it isn’t a rule by any means, I’ve noticed there are a lot of people who love certain autobots, but specifically like them in isolation. the idea of the character is more important than anything they’ve actually done. pretty much every autobot that exists has a fan, but they could have little, if any, screen presence. this isn’t bad, of course! in many cases, it’s extremely novel and sweet. that being said, I’ve noticed that even the most prominent autobots have this happen—Optimus Prime is more of a symbol than a character, and that separation is a source of comfort.
This also happens with Decepticons, but I’d argue it’s to a lesser extent? They tend to have much more defined and consistent character relationships, arcs, and themes. The decepticons who are viewed in isolation most frequently would probably be Soundwave and Autobot Megatron, which is interesting (I am honestly not a fan of the modern characterizations of either of these, but I totally understand why people are!), in that their interactions, story purposes, and even personalities are flattened to separate them from the underlying narrative. People love the idea of Soundwave, but fail to give it a personality.
Once again, I don’t think any of this is bad! Moreover, isolating characters from the existing narrative and putting them in different places according to where they might better suit a story is a very good thing, actually. I’ve never agreed with the pushback for iterative/adaptive media altering existing characters’ traits or personalities to suit their thematic purpose, because I think it takes away the agency and undermines the vision of the artist. obviously you can dislike certain characterizations (I do that often) but blaming a deviation from the norm is extremely reductive. Trying to stick to an idealized checklist of how a character ought to act instead of recognizing them as a reactive, dynamic story device is how you end up with flat, unchanging characters and a boring story.
To tie that back to what I like about the decepticons, I think the fact that they are so messy is their strength—they aren’t all just different skins on the same archetype, they’re unique thematic elements which adapt and serve a function in the story. You can make them physically and even archetypally unrecognizable, but as long as you utilize them as elements in the story and afford them the conflict and complexity they deserve, it’s much more difficult to go wrong.
thanks for reading, and thank you for the question!! I hope this all makes sense—I wiped myself out last night and I’m still recovering, so I apologize if this was incoherent lol

Jane of Lantern Hill, chapter 2
"She was beginning to wonder how any one so lovely as mother could have a daughter so plain and awkward as herself."
I'm reminded of that Wrinkle in Time bit where Meg despairs of being ugly when her mother is beautiful and Charles Wallace goes, "mother is beautiful, which means at your age she must have been awful." I'm not sure how sound that logic is (although it holds true within the WiT universe, since Meg does grow up to be beautiful) but someone should definitely tell poor Jane that she won't always look the way she does at 11.
Anyway, we get bits and snippets about Jane's mother here, hints of who she might actually be if she weren't under her own mother's thumb. We learn that she would prefer simpler clothes and seems to share Jane's interest in cooking. We get a suggestion that perhaps she would prefer not to spend her every waking moment fluttering beautifully at a social event. But, of course, the entire household is structured around what Mrs. Kennedy wants, and those she loves are no less consumed by the need to not upset her than those she does not love.
We get to meet Aunt Gertrude in this chapter, and she too has been eaten by the house. And yet, she has probably the most autonomy we've seen so far? We're told that Mrs Kennedy does not even respect her, much less love her, but Aunt Gertrude "would not let grandmother keep a housemaid." That implies a level of standing up to her mother that we haven't seen from Jane's mother so far (although of course Jane exists, so clearly her mother did some amount of making her own choices). And Mrs. Kennedy apparently is willing to let her family clean, even if she won't let them cook. Or at least, she is willing to let Aunt Gertrude do so. There's some really insidious class stuff going on here that I am entirely too 21st century middle class to fully parse.
I will say that LMM has motifs that she seems to return to when writing emotionally abusive families. I haven't read the Emily books, so I can't speak to Teddy's family, but Jane and Valancy's families use a lot of the same tactics and have a lot of similarities:
-Physical needs met while emotional needs are ignored or mocked
-Rigid, iron-clad cleaning routines
-Controlling and scrutinizing food
-Religion used as a weapon
-Uncles who ask demeaning questions to humiliate you in public
-The pretty, popular cousin you get compared to
The rigid routine and pretty cousin in particular jump out at me, because they're very specific details. Some of it could be literary tradition or stock narrative devices -- Jane's household is reminding me a lot of Marius from Les Mis' family situation, except that his mother is already dead -- but LMM definitely seems to have some beats she likes to return to.
