FIC COLLAB WITH @jalapenobee
I really enjoyed this sm. I normally don't write fanfiction because I'm too scared of getting the characters inaccurate - so doing this collab made me really happy.
Bee did the initial writing, and I did the first pass of editing while Bee did the second and final pass of editing !
This was initially a request I made of Bee, but I loved the unedited version sm I wanted to edit it 💔
It's also super short and bite sized!
“And you! Ra…Ranpo-kun! I will defeat you! Someday! HAHAHA—whOAA!” Upon hearing that declaration of war, Poe wrapped his arms around his long-time rival (the great detective Ranpo Edogawa!!! See that? Poe gets to date the world’s greatest detective while the rest of you are off with criminals. Suckers), falling backward and dragging the shorter man with him. Said detective yelped in surprise, reaching his arm out in a pathetic attempt to grasp hold of thin air for leverage. If Poe finds that endearing and sorta cute, it was nobody's business to know. Landing on the couch with a muffled POOMF, Poe lets out one last laugh.
“That’s what you get for being out in the rain. And then stealing my dryer and ‘pretending’ to be me.” Poe slightly lifts the collar of his coat off the nape of Ranpo’s neck, gesturing to the fact he had caught his partner wearing it. Ranpo huffed, squinting his eyes and letting a pout form on his face as he dramatically tossed his head back—an action that made him feel a lot like Dazai.
“I didn’t actually steal your dryer Poe-kun! My cloak was wet and I had to put it in there.” Ranpo tangled his finger in a curl of Poe’s dark hair, complaining. “You’re just being mean.” Even so, Ranpo lifted his legs, shifting into a more comfortable position and resting his head against Poe’s chest. Poe’s hand drifts to the side of Ranpo’s head, his fingers running between his hair as he strokes the back of Ranpo’s ear, Ranpo’s hand clutching onto Poe’s shirt. Some sort of drama was quietly playing on the TV—though neither Poe or Ranpo seemed to care all too much about what was happening on the screen. Outside, the heavy rain that had previously drenched the detective hadn’t let up any, providing a calming soundtrack to the scene of the two cuddling.
Detective Ranpo found this to be the perfect opportunity to trap his ‘rival’ to the couch as a cat would its servant. He pulls the author’s coat tighter around himself, burying his face into Poe’s collarbone (Poe protests, but it’s clear that he doesn’t mean anything with it and quickly resigns to his fate). Neither of the two said anything, sitting in comforting silence for at least a little while, Ranpo’s breath shimmying through Poe’s shirt, leaving a warm sensation against his skin. Soon, Ranpo’s grip on his lover loosened, his body relaxing against him. He shifted in his sleep as if he was a pea plant slowly curling around a pole. Poe turned his attention down to the younger man against his chest, to find that he had fallen asleep, his mouth very slightly agape.
There were two different manuscripts sitting atop the table to his right that Poe had wanted to finish by morning. The sun had already begun setting, making it far too late to continue his work if he did not want to disturb Ranpo. Poe vaguely remembered he had coffee in its pot he had wanted to enjoy before it got cold, and hears the dryer finish tossing Ranpo’s cloak around like a chew toy.
…Maybe all that didn’t matter at that moment.
Poe didn’t seem to worry all too much, his eyes slowly fluttering shut as his fingers mindlessly drift over Ranpo’s black hair. Poe’s rival detective begins stirring very lightly, his arm shifting itself to wrap around Poe’s body.
“Mhngg…you’re so sweet…Poe-kun…“ Ranpo mumbles, still asleep. Dimly, Poe registers his own arm shifting to lay across the middle of Ranpo’s back as he himself begins drifting off.

(It sounds like what you I had in mind is different from how I thought about it. Meanwhile, chaos? Chaos.)
There's a certain little red girl on the side of the venue with her golden haired guardian. The red girl has stars in her eyes as they looked around the venue. So many new things she's never seen before. Her guardian watches over her, and speaks in hushed whispers.
"Klee, I know our Creator gave us permission to come in their stead. But be on your best behavior, okay?"
Albedo shifted his eyes to the other guests in the hall. "The last thing we need is any of them getting upset at us," he muttered under his breath, inaudible to anyone else.
"But Albedo, look!" Klee pointed up at the celestial decorations.
Albedo looks up at the decorations, which remind him of the skies he's read about. The skies that the Creator may have seen in their world before coming to Teyvat.
"Yes, it's pretty."
Klee shuffled around in her bag.
"Klee, who did you bring with you?"
"Just Dodoco."
Albedo raised an eye.
Klee guilty held out the little Jumpty Dumpty doll she made. "And Jumpty Dumpty."
Oh no.
Albedo shook his head. "Klee, who told you that Jumpty Dumpty could come?"
Klee paused. "Um. I don't remember. But he said to bring it just in case."
"Klee," Albedo said, trying to cover the bomb in her hands, "I don't think we need Jumpty Dumpty here. Let's just have a good time okay?"
Suffice to say, The Creator had their hands full. Or well, they would've had, had they not met their unfortunate demise. But then again, surely their acolytes can at least keep up the ruse for now, while they work on resurrecting their creator?
A lady,with long brown hair and clear brown skin,wearing a long sage green dress that faded into dust,walked up to the duo with a small smile on her face. Albedo straightened up,on guard. The lady speaks,looking Albedo in the eye. "Hello. Are you both having a good time?" Albedo smiles nervously.
"Yes,we're having a very good time." He raises an eyebrow. "You are...?" The lady looks suprised.
"I'm Mist,the host of this Ball." Oh. Before Albedo can respond,Klee excitedly speaks to the lady.
"Whoaa,are you a God just like our Creator?" Mist looks down at Klee,kneeling down to one knee to get on her level.
"I am! Tell me young one,what is your name?" Mist questions with a soft smile on her face.
"My names Klee! And this-" Klee shows Mist Dodoco "is Dodoco! And this is Jumpty Dumpty!" She then shows the bomb to Mist,whose eyes widened in suprise.
"Oh my-" Albedo quickly covers up the bomb.
"It's not what you think-" Albedo says,trying to cover up the fact that Klee had carried a bomb into the Ball. Mist laughs,shaking her head.
"No,no,it's quite alright." She turns to Klee. "Tell me Klee,I have a sister just about your age. Would you like to meet her?" Klee nods,before looking at Albedo nervously. He hesitates,but gives her the go ahead. Mist gets to her feet,signaling for Klee to follow her. Albedo wonders if he should follow. He does,and they all leave the ballroom.
He'll be back soon,but for now,he just wants to see this sister of Mist's. And to make sure Klee is safe and doesn't blow anything up on the way...

Angus' cold, sweaty hands trailed your body, exploring every inch of you delicately. He was practically drooling over your perfect body. Just as he imagined, beautiful. His long, dark amber and brown ambition hair fell over his face. His starved eyes couldn't help but look all over. "My, Your so beautiful Y/N. Perfect as me imagined." He said in a very high Australian tone. He grabbed ur hips, leaving a passionate kiss upon ur lips.
He gripped ur hair, smothering you in kisses. He grunted, kissing ur neck, sucking ur sweet spot that he discovered. He left a bite mark upon ur shoulder, licking the blood that covered it. "Please, Angus." You whined. "Not yet angel," He said, even though he couldn't wait himself. He pulled his shirt off, it was striped and short sleeved. His pants came off quickly, and his boxers fell with. You bit ur lip, your eyes connected.
You moaned softly when entered you. His size wasn't too adjustable yet. He adjusted himself inside of you, holding onto your hands. Your fingers entangled with his. He slowly buried himself inside of you. "Bloody hell," He mumbled. He moved his hands, gripping ur waist once more. You moaned his name, while he went in and out of ur tight heat. Your bruised heat dripped and your wetness trailed down ur thighs.
Angus couldn't help but get sloppier. You were drenched in sweat and bruises from Angus, love bruises and bites. "Oh my god," You breathlessly said. Cum dripped from you, all over Angus' dick. You whined, "Just wait for me, ya?" Angus murmured. He leant down and kissed ur lips before getting sloppier.
He came, and pulled out. You panted. "Damn," Angus said. "That was great." He took a cigarette out and smoked it before putting it out. "Mhm..," You sighed. Angus helped you with ur clothes, and he fell asleep next to you. He held onto you, not letting go.

YOU SAID YOU ONLY LIKE PULITZER X HANNAH AS CERTAIN SCENARIOS THAT ONLY EXIST IN YOUR HEAD BUT PICTURE THIS.: "They leaned in pausing for a quick moment, wondering if this is what they're really doing. Wondering what comes next. They lean in immediately loosing themselves in the sweet bliss they've held back for so long, they kiss until they so badly need air it hurts. They pull apart, Hannah's hands on his waist and Joseph's arms around her neck. Smiling, Hannah moves a hand to his cheek and Joseph moves his hands to rest on her shoulders. As they gaze into each other's eyes, a sense of serenity washes over them. For years, they've been close friends. They always thought they would stay close friends, but this changes everything. They both knew that they wanted to be more than just friends. Hannah takes a deep breath and whispers, "What are we going to tell Kathrine..?" Joseph lets out a breathy laugh. He takes a moment to gather her own thoughts and then replies, "That she has a mother with the same hair color as her I hope." They both smile at each other, they've confessed, in their own ways. That's always what they did, they learned to do things with each other in their own special ways. That's always been what drew the two together anyways. They embrace each other tightly, before sharing a kiss of that same sweet bliss." WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Chapter 2: Welcome to Hogwarts and the Sorting Ceremony
Tumblr media
~~~~
It was nighttime as the train pulled into the Hogsmeade station. Harry, Ron and [Y/N] had changed into their school robes and got out of the train carts. Hagrid, a large, hulking figure of a man, walked up to the train, holding a lantern. Students in black robes, either starting their first year, or ending their sixth year, poured out of the train.
"Right, then! First years! This way, please!" Hagrid shouted, directing the First Years towards him. "Come on, now, don't be shy! Come on now, hurry up!" Hagrid shouted. Harry, Ron and [Y/N] walked up to Hagrid. Hagrid smiled down at the dark haired boy.
"Hello, Harry." Hagrid greeted. Harry smiled up at the man.
"Hi, Hagrid." Harry greeted. [Y/N] and Ron stared up in shock at the man.
"Whoaa!" Ron exclaimed. Hagrid nodded.
"Right then. This way to the boats! Come on, now, follow me." Hagrid shouted. The First Years followed the man towards the boats. [Y/N] got into the boat with Hermione and a couple other First Year students. [Y/N] smiled in aw as the boats seemed to magically float across the Black Lake. The stories her mother had told here did no justice to really experiencing it.
A wile later, the first year students walk into the castle, and up the staircase. On a higher level, a witch in green robes and a black hat, Professor McGonagall, was waiting. She tapped her fingers on a stone railing, and then goes to the top of the stairs to greet the newcomers.
"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said in a commanding voice, making the first years fall silent. "Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin," Professor McGonagall explained. "Now while you’re here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup,"
"Trevor!" A first year shouted. Nevil Longbottom, a first year, a little round in the cheeks, rushed up to the steps next to Professor McGonagall and gently picked up the toad. He looked up at the Professor, who had a disapproving look on her face. "Sorry." Nevil muttered, and he slowly backed away, embarrassed. Professor McGonagall looked out among the students again.
"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily." She said, and left to go into the Great Hall.
"It's true then," a new voice spoke up. [Y/N] turned and looked at a boy with short, slicked back, platinum blonde hair, was smirking in Harry's direction. "What they're saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts." The boy said. He didn't look very friendly. This caused the other students to whisper in shock at hearing Harry's name. The boy nodded to the two boys next to him. "This is Crabbe and Goyle," the boy introduced. The two other boys didn't look very friendly either. "And I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." Malfoy introduced. This caused Ron to snicker at Malfoy's name. Malfoy glared at Ron. "Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair, and a hand-me-down robe? You must be a Weasley." He turned his gaze to [Y/N]. "And you, [h/c] hair, [e/c] eyes, you must be a Scamander," Malfoy said. He turned to look at Harry again. "Well, you'll soon find that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter," he said, glaring at Ron and [Y/N]. "Don’t want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." Malfoy said, extending his hand to Harry. [Y/N] tensed. This boy was definitely bad news. Harry looked down at Malfoy's hand then back up at his face.
"I think I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself, thanks." Harry said. Malfoy's smile fell and he glared at Harry. Before he could say anything, McGonagall returned and tapped Malfoy on the shoulder with some parchment paper. Malfoy turned to look at her. She rose her eyebrows slightly. With one last glare to the trio, Malfoy walked back over to his friends.
"We're ready for you now. Follow me." Professor McGonagall said, and lead the students into the Great Hall. She lead everyone through two large doors and into the Great Hall, where there were four long tables with thousands of students, as well as floating candles. [Y/N] looked around in aw at the sight before her. She looked up at the ceiling and smiled. The ceiling appeared to be the sky.
"It's not real, the ceiling. It's just bewitched to look like the night sky," Hermione, who was a few steps ahead of [Y/N], said. "I read about it in Hogwarts: A History." Hermione said. Real or not, it still looked amazing! McGonagall lead the first-years to the front. An old looking witch's hat sat on a stool at the front of steps. [Y/N] knew, from the stories her mother had told her, that the old looking hat was actually the Sorting Hat.
"Will you wait along here, please?" McGonagall requested. The students stopped before the first step. "Now, before we begin, Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words." Professor McGonagall said, turning her attention to the Headmaster. Dumbledore stood up from his seat at the main table.
"I have a few start of term notices I wish to announce. The first years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, has asked me to remind you that the 3rd floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you." Professor Dumbledore said, sitting back down. [Y/N]'s widened at what the Professor had said.
'Is mum sure that this place is actually safe?' [Y/N] thought to herself. McGonagall unrolled the parchment she had been holding in her hands.
"When I call your name, you will come forth, I shall place the sorting hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses." McGonagall said. She looked at the list and looked back at the students. "Hermione Granger." McGonagall called. [Y/N] looked at the brown haired girl. She saw Hermione's eyes widen slightly before composing herself. Hermione muttered something to herself before walking up to the stool. Ron leaned in to Harry and [Y/N].
"Mental that one, I'm telling you." Ron whispered. Harry nodded in agreement and turned his attention back to the Sorting Hat. [Y/N] rolled her eyes.
"Oh, come off it, Ron. She's just nervous." [Y/N] whispered back. Hermione sat on the stool and McGonagall placed the sorting hat on her head. Suddenly, the Sorting Hat came to life. Its fabric eyes narrowed and rose, trying to make a decision.
"Ah, right then, hmm, right. Okay...Gryffindor!!" The Sorting Hat shouted. [Y/N] smiled and clapped with the rest of the students. Hermione jumped off with a smile, walking over to the Gryffindor table. McGonagall looked at the list again.
"Draco Malfoy."
Draco sauntered up proudly. Before hat even touch Malfoy's head, the hat called out,
"SLYTHERIN!" The Sorting Hat shouted. The Slytherin table erupted into applause. Malfoy wore a smirk as he got off the stool and walked over to the table. [Y/N] leaned in to Ron and Harry.
"There isn't a witch or wizard who went bad who wasn’t in Slytherin." She whispered.
"Susan Bones."
A small, redhead girl walked up to the stool. As Harry looked around, he noticed a black haired man, wearing all black robes. The man was glaring at Harry. Suddenly, Harry's scar started to hurt.
"Ahh!" Harry groaned in pain, placing his fingers on the scar, hoping that the pain would go away. [Y/N] looked at Harry in concern.
"Harry, what is it?" She asked. Harry glanced at her, his fingers still on his scar.
"Nothing, nothing, I'm fine." Harry said. He could tell that she wasn't quite convinced with his answer, but she decided to not push the subject.
"Let's see, I know. Hufflepuff!" The Sorting Hat shouted. Susan smiled and got off the stool, rushing over to the Hufflepuff table. McGonagall looked at the parchment again.
"Ronald Weasley." She called. Ron's eyes widened. He gulped and stiffly walked up to the stool. [Y/N] patted Ron's back in reassurance as he passed her. He sat on the stool and McGonagall placed the Sorting Hat on the stool.
"Ha!" The Sorting Hat shouted, making Ron flinch. "Another Weasley. I know just what to do with you. Gryffindor!!" The Sorting Hat shouted. [Y/N] cheered and clapped as Ron sighed in relief and walked towards the Gryffindor table. McGonagall looked at the parchment again.
"[Y/N] Scamander." She called. [Y/N] froze. She hadn't expected her turn to come so quickly. She felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked over at Harry, who gave her a smile. He gently squeezed her shoulder in reassurance. [Y/N] let out a breath and walked up to the stool. She sat down and McGonagall put the Sorting Hat on [Y/N]'s head.
"Ah. Another Scamander, I see. My first choice would be to put you in Hufflepuff, but, no, maybe not. You have other thoughts about it I see," the Sorting Hat said. "You are loyal, traits that put you in both Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. But, you are also stubborn. You have a great deal of courage and bravery. So where to put you, eh?" The Sorting Hat asked. The Sorting Hat then hummed. "Oh, I know, Gryffindor!" The Sorting Hat shouted. [Y/N] sighed and smiled. Though she had wanted to follow in her mother's foot steps, being a Hufflepuff, she also knew that Gryffindor was right for her. [Y/N] walked over to the Gryffindor table. She sat down next to Ron, who gave her a side hug. She introduced herself to the others at the table.
"Harry Potter." McGonagall called. Everything went silent as Harry walked up to the stool and sat on it. McGonagall placed the hat on his head. The Sorting Hat hummed.
"Hmm, difficult, very difficult. Plenty of courage I see, not a bad mind, either. There's talent, oh yes, and a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you?" The Sorting Hat questioned. Harry closed his eyes.
"Not Slytherin, not Slytherin." Harry whispered. The Sorting Hat sounded slightly surprised.
"Not Slytherin, eh? Are you sure? You could be great, you know. It’s all here in your head. And Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness! There's no doubt about that. No?" The Sorting Hat asked. Harry kept whispering.
"Not Slytherin. Anything but Slytherin." Harry whispered. The Sorting Hat hummed.
"Well, if you're sure, better be...GRYFFINDOR!!" The Sorting Hat shouted. The Gryffindor table erupted into applause and cheers. Harry smiled and got off of the stool, racing over to the Gryffindor table. He took a seat next to [Y/N], who gave him a side hug. For some reason, the hug made him freeze lightly in surprise. He didn't dwell on it and returned the hug.
//Here's chapter 2. I hope you all like it. I ultimately decided to put the Reader in Gryffindor. I felt like the story would go more smoothly if the Reader was in Gryffindor and not in a different house like Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Sorry to everyone who wanted to be in a different house other than Gryffindor.//
happy birthday homestuck 😊😊🤮 also yea he’s coughing in the 4th pic
id:
the first image is a lineup of all the beta homestuck characters. rose is first, one hand pointing up and the other towards the ground. rocking the no eyes look, cause like, if the striders get no mouths then the lalondes get no eyes. right? anyway please immediately forget this information for the third image where roxy has eyes and oh my god it’s june time! she has short hair that is wavy-ish and looks based as fuck. jade is here too and she is super cool. big poofy hair. then there’s dave and he’s cool too. he looks like a slicked back weasel. they’re all wearing their god tiers
second and third image are of the beta kids. roxy and jane pose epically together in the first picture. roxy holds a levitating generic object and jane holds her little mini trident thing. and yeah roxy has eyes because she has the little mask thing and like that’s so cute how can i not draw her with that.
anyway then there’s dirk and jake in the third pic. dirk looks like an unamused dalmatian, in resonance and in spirit. his hair is very angular. jake is there too and WHOAA HIS COCK IS HUGE!! sorry. anyway he looks happy as a clam and has lots of hair on his silly legs.
in the 4th pic, june, karkat and dave are smoking a joint together. dave is taking a hit and karkat is wheezing his lungs out to the point of tears. he thinks, “WOW I’M SUCH A LOSER” while dave thinks, “wow he’s such a loser.” june is staring blankly into the distance with a smirk plastered on her face thinking, “best of garfield hallmark montage $14.99 blockbuster compilation” and then it cuts off so sorry but you won’t be able to hear the rest of that sentence. sorry.
i will start the description for the fifth image with only its text: SO. MANY. HOES. rose lalonde is positively SURROUNDED by the finest madames and mademoiselles homestuck has to offer. with a vriska on her left, and a terezi on her right, she looks quite pleased with herself. vriska looks like she has neither showered nor had a coherent thought in 2 weeks. terezi looks like she is about to bite someone, though is keeping her cool for now. kanaya is awkwardly sitting on the floor beside them, with an expression that reads “kill me”, though is not explicitly written on the page. june is there too. looking quite amused
last image is just karkat flipping you off
Bowers gang x fem! reader from NYC that has a heavy accent and does alot of the stereotypical new yorker maneurisms/slang 😩🤌🏽
New York Meets Maine
Warnings: Foul language and Derogatory terms
You were forced to move from Manhattan, NY to Derry, Maine thanks to your parent’s decision.
Let’s just say you stood out like a sore thumb as a native New Yorker living in Maine~
Everyone knows New Yorker’s have a very distinct accent so trying to blend at school wasn’t an easy task.
You see, when a New Yorker talks, they emphasize certain syllables in their words.
For example: Talk is pronounced like “tawlk”, dog= “dawg” ….. You get the idea.
So the moment the Bower’s Gang laid eyes on you was the day you became their new target.
You were familiar with their reputation but would be damned if you let them mess with you.
New york girls are known to hold their own and be outspoken. ...basically no filter.
One weekend, the Bower’s Gang were walking down the street when Victor happened to glance inside the coffee shop window. He nudges Henry and does a held tilt towards you.
Henry gives a twisted smile as they now make their way inside, walking up behind you as you order.
“Yeeahh uhh, lemme get uh regulah hot cawfee and a small wawter bahttle ta go.” you say talking with your hands, pointing at the size cup you want and the menu board on the wall.
Instantly you hear snickering behind you. You turn around angrily, glaring at them now.
Patrick was first to imitate you purposely using a nasally voice “Lemme get a CAWWWWWFEEEE and a WAAATHHAAA!”
You roll your eyes at them and scoff. “Oooh fuck awff yah muthafuckas.”
This doesn’t help your case… it only makes them laugh more at you.
You grab your drinks, shoving the bottled water in your backpack and quickly grabbing the coffe before walking out of the shop at a fast pace.
The guys follow you close behind and continue to for a few blocks as you drink your coffee
.“Whoaa Ms. New Yawker is in a hurry, guys.” Belch says, chuckling.
“Yeah what’s the hurry? Gotta catch a subway and chill with the rats?” Vic says teasingly, tugging at the back of your hair.
You spin around angrily, “Pshh New Yawk is a much betta place than this lame fuckin’ town where losars like you just bum around on the cawner for fun!” You shout, face turning red in anger as your arms flail about.
Henry pulls you in by your hips so your back is against his chest.
“Aww your right sweetheart, I do hang around the corner waiting for a cheap fuck like you to suck me …. “awff”, he imitates your accent again.
Once again this makes all the guys laugh.
You jab Henry in the ribs, pulling away.
“In your fuckin’ dreams Bowers. You can fuh-gedda- boud- it!” you say, throwing your now empty cup of coffee at him.
Henry stands there in shock that you had the nerve to do that.
You can hear Vic, Belch and Patrick laugh saying, “oooohh” as you walk off.
“She’s gonna regret ever moving here..” Henry says through gritted teeth.
BnHA Ch. 347 - Review, parallels, and comparisons
“Inflation” was a short chapter at 13 pages, and there’s another official chapter coming in 5 days (a Friday release). But damn, when the art is this good, does it matter if the chapter is short???
Soooo….how do you solve a problem like Midoriya? Apparently you shout his name a lot, then tell him he’s on his own because Shigaraki’s just one blink away from decaying UA. (I like that the heroes who knew him as a student call him Midoriya, not OFA or Deku.)
Tumblr media
I love Horikoshi reminding us that Monoma continues to be a rock star, plus the little notes saying THIS IS MONOMA. (I guess Hori thought we wouldn’t recognize him without his bangs? Hmm, perhaps there will be a chapter extra page on this when the volume comes out!)
This chapter was also brought to you by the word “whoa.” Bakugo’s left gauntlet shatters from Shigaraki’s hands (whoa!), Aizawa realizes Midoriya needs a warp but they can’t do it (WHOAA!), and Midoriya has Toga come flying at him (WHOA!) It’s an oddly cute way to tie together these characters realizing that they’re in over their heads.
Tumblr media
I’ll skip talking about the singularity here bc I have another post planned on that (I meant to finish it Friday but it didn’t happen!). All I’ll say is that the heroes continually underestimate Shigaraki’s non-quirk strength…. [Insert “I can’t believe it’s not quirks!” snark here.]
Tumblr media
However! I will say it’s odd that Shigaraki’s face is changing and his eyes are disappearing and reappearing rapidly. Compare feral war Shig, when AFO just starts to exert control, to this chapter.
Tumblr media
Since AFO’s face is covered by his mask right now, and we know he used to have white hair and red eyes, I wonder if his mask will eventually come off and we’ll see he has the same face as “perfected” Shigaraki. As Shigaraki and AFO have merged, it’s getting much harder to tell “who” is speaking, because it’s both. For example, yelling about heroes “sweeping things under the rug” and “couldn’t possibly comprehend” sounds very Shigaraki. But lecturing heroes on the singularity and how he’s so much smarter than the heroes? That’s AFO.
Tumblr media
Ok, it’s TOGA TIME Y’ALL! I quite enjoy Horikoshi putting his twist on romance tropes. Red string of fate? Check. Confessing at the end of the world? Check. Toga goes all out to yank Izuku to her so she can confess her love and, hopefully, save his life. See, Toga doesn’t want Izuku to go to UA because she fears the destruction that awaits. Shigaraki promised her that he wouldn’t destroy what she loves, but the Shigaraki she knew is gone. And AFO wants Izuku even more than she does. If she really does love Izuku — and in her own way, she does — then she can’t let him go because she might not see him again.
Tumblr media
I know people are upset that Danger Sense is used in this chapter as a shortcut for the “hard work” of getting to know Toga, or truly building an understanding with villains. But, to be honest, it doesn’t bother me. (There’s no right or wrong here, I’m just making my bias clear.) I personally don’t mind handwaving inconsistencies in quirk powers because powers always serve the story’s needs; e.g., we all know we’re gonna get “awakenings” and new moves during important battles. Though perhaps Danger Sense itself is a misunderstood and poorly named power. Wouldn’t be the first time a quirk wasn’t aptly named or known by its wielder.
Anyway. A few chapters back, Horikoshi introduced the idea that both Ochako and Izuku (and Shoto!) view the villains as humans. While that’s a big first step, it turns out to be … not very useful in actually making change happen. Humans are complex creatures motivated by many different things. Ochako recognized that what’s obvious to her isn’t obvious to Toga, but can’t put her finger on what IS obvious to Toga. Once that breakthrough happens, they can start to relate. Toga has said outright that she loves Izuku and Ochako, but Ochako couldn’t believe that because Toga’s always trying to stab them. Now, between Danger Sense and Ochako’s observations, I think both Izuku and Ochako are grasping how Toga sees the world.
Tumblr media
…..Okay, before we go on….this final sentence isn’t 100% true. Toga will carve someone up out of love, yes, but she will also kill in self-defense, to avoid getting caught by authorities, and out of rage/revenge in extreme circumstances. Sometimes she kills when she needs someone’s blood to transform (the woman during Toya’s war fight with Ochako) and sometimes she doesn’t (Camie, Rock Lock, Aizawa).
Where does Toga’s confession leave us??? Well, I’m really glad we get a new chapter early, and it’s pretty much guaranteed to continue the Toga storyline since Ochako and Izuku are on the magazine cover. But, speaking of things that are not obvious… I have NO idea how Horikoshi will handle this. I hope Izuku and Ochako can gently talk Toga down (while battling Moonfish and the Nomu, hehe). If Toga truly loves them, and if she truly wants them to live a good, long life with her, then she can’t keep trying to stab them. But maybe Izuku and Ochako can voluntarily give Toga a vial of blood and show her it’s not the love or the blood that’s the problem; it’s really the random stabbing.
Like many other fans, I do hope this doesn’t turn into Toga and Ochako fighting over Izuku’s love, or immediately turning into a romance for Izuku and Ochako. I also don’t want Izuku and his powers to overshadow what Ochako can do. In fact, if IzuOcha will be canon, I’d like this to be a chance for Izuku to see Ochako help Toga. Like he understands what’s happening because of his Danger Sense insight, but he’s not equipped to help Toga the way Ochako is, so she takes the lead. Seeing Ochako be a hero, and save a villain in a way he hasn’t yet been able to, would be a good way for Ochako to inspire Izuku. And if Izuku decides he needs to be a bit more like Ochako as he approaches Shigaraki, then there’s something meaningful connecting the two (plus, thematically, it ties back to inspiration vs imitation). That said, I don’t think BnHA needs any endgame romantic pairs for the story to be complete, and I’d rather there be no romantic pairs than some last minute shoehorned pairings. But I’m still along for the ride no matter what because dammit I love these characters.
↷ SUMMARY ↶
Hinata’s overwhelming greed to grow–will it be a blessing or a curse for the team?
As the temperature rise, so was the tension–at first you didn’t really acknowledge the heaviness present in the air, but now it was suffocating. Your team certainly had it around them at first, however it now increased tenfold after Hinata bumped to Asahi for the ball. The prickling in the air almost felt as if it was scratching your skin.
“I wasn’t imagining the tension between Hinata and Kageyama-kun, right?” Yachi asked uncertain, but Shimizu nodded in agreement.
“Yeah. But it’s not just Hinata and Kageyama. Ever since Hinata and Azumane bumped into each other, they’re all on the edge.”
“That, and Hinata-kun just blurted out what everyone’s thinking right now,” you added, making the two turned to face you. “Hinata-kun wants to rapidly change, if everyone couldn’t keep up or made their presence clear in front of him…”
They’ll be eaten by that overwhelming greed the orange-haired boy has.
.
.
When the penalty was over, you quickly distributed the water bottles and towels with Yachi while Shimizu handled the notes. The absence of Hinata, Kageyama, and Sugawara were clear because as soon as they finished their penalty, the third year asked them to have a private chat outside the gym.
“Azumane-san, you felt that, right?” you asked the older boy, handing his water bottle. “The feeling of being eaten up.”
“Yeah,” Somehow, Asahi didn’t really surprise hearing those words from you. For him, you’re rather different–maybe it’s because you’re quite knowledgeable about volleyball and a quite observant person.
“I think you should try putting him in his place,” hearing those rather bold words from you made his eyes widened.
“P-putting him to place!? L-like scolding him? I don’t think I can.”
“N-no, just declared out loud that the ball is yours? From what I saw, Hinata-kun is trying to steal that ball away from you. You need to tell let him know that it’s not his.”
Asahi fell silent at first, thinking over and assessed what you just said. He found that you’re right–it’s ace’s job to get everyone in the team grounded. He gave you a smile and a nod. “Yeah, I’ll try. Thank you for the insight, [Name].”
“Oh, Hinata-kun, let me see your chin!” Asahi then watched you jogged towards the shorter orange-haired boy.
“Huh? Why?” he asked in confusion.
“You hit it when you’re doing the diving drills, right? At least let me check if it’s bruising or not.” You bent down to take a closer look, although still keeping a respectful distance from the boy so he wouldn’t be having a heart attack.
“A-alright, thank you!”
.
.
Your team didn’t stay for too long–once the last practice of the day was done, all of you were already packing to return to Miyagi. This practice camp was short, but you heard Coach Ukai mentioned that it would be even longer the moment summer vacation started–at that time, you will be staying around for a week.
Huffing, you lifted up a big luggage with the team’s necessities and began walking towards the bus in the parking lot. Ennoshita mentioned that if anything’s too heavy, you should ask for someone in the team’s help–however you were reluctant, especially after knowing all of them were certainly tired from practice match and diving penalties.
“Here, let me help you,” suddenly, the weight was removed from you. You were greeted with Akaashi’s figure with the bag in hand, you almost felt jealous on how he could carry it with ease.
“Thank you, Akaashi-san,”
After that you didn’t exchange any word as you approached the bus, but the silence wasn’t uncomfortable either.
“So, how is it being the manager?” his question threw you off guard, not expecting him to start a conversation.
Laughing nervously, you replied. “It felt like being thrown into a room full of color and being doused in ice bath.”
Once again, you didn’t expect him laughing slightly at your metaphor. You cursed the moment you laid your eyes on his figure because how can someone be so goddamn gorgeous from just laughing. Your heart skipped a bit and blood rushed to your face almost instantly.
“I could relate to that,” he hummed. “Especially having someone eccentric in the team, like Bokuto-san for example.”
“Hey, hey, hey, Otohaku-chan!!” As if being called, the mentioned boy jogged towards the two of you. Akaashi put the bag onto the ground after asking if it’s okay to do so. “Be sure to join the summer training camp so you can cheer on me, alright!?”
“That’s a wrong thing wrangled into one sentence.” Kuroo commented, accompanied by his infamous smirk. “And why would you drag other team’s manager when you already have two?”
“Please don’t request anything weird to Otohaku-san.” Akaashi deadpanned.
“What?? Why!? The only one here’s nice enough to compliment me is Otohaku-chan!!”
“You pushed her into doing so, Bokuto-san. Otohaku-san, if he’s bothering you feel free to ignore him.”
“AKAASHI!!”
“Well, Bokuto do have something correct, though,” Kuroo folded his arm across his chest. “Be sure to join the summer training camp. The more, the merrier, you know?”
“I will,” you smiled. You had no reason not to join–a manager’s duty is to help the team grow by letting their mind off doing mundane things, so you would do your best to support your team.
Kuroo’s hand reached out, finding itself on your head again and ruffling lightly. “Then we’ll be waiting.”
“[Name]-san is already good friends with Fukurodani and Nekoma’s captain,” Ennoshita, who watched the interaction from the sidelines, commented. Sugawara and Sawamura nodded in agreement, smiling proudly. You were known for being rather reserved, but seeing you began to have more friends were a huge development.
“It’s good she begins to open up and make friends, but,” Ennoshite flinched from the murderous atmosphere surrounding Sugawara. “I hope they could limit the physical contact with our dearest manager, though.”
“Right? They’re too close to my liking.” Sawamura added, smiling but with menacing intent.
“Whoaa!! You’re so tall!” as if the world was trying to spite the two, Lev joined into the picture–his hand found yours and immediately had them in his grip. “And pretty!”
Ennoshita had to refrain Sugawara and Sawamura from murdering the oblivious first year.
.
.
It was quite late at night the moment all of you were back at the school. Assuming it was late, you didn’t have any reason to stay longer and need to go home as soon as possible. However, noticing how the gym was lit, both you and Yachi decided to check it out–finding Kageyama and Hinata were in there with net fully set along with volley cart.
“Huh? You two aren’t going home yet?” Yachi asked.
“It’s quite late. You should get some rest instead.” You added, knowing how harsh the practice match and penalties combined together.
“Yachi-san, [Name]-san, if you don’t mind, could you throw us some balls?” instead of answering, Hinata requested some help.
“Huh? I can do that?” Yachi yelped.
“You just have to throw the ball above Kageyama’s head.” Hinata pointed out.
“S-sure, I’ll give it a try.”
“If you’re tired, switch with me, Hitoka-chan.” You said and she nodded.
Yachi throw ball after ball for Kageyama to toss while Hinata tried to hit it–and he failed. The ball didn’t sync at all with him, his movement didn’t fully pull out because he’s too focused on the ball. It’s not just second or third, with every ball being tossed, not once did Hinata successfully spike it.
“One more time!” Hinata called out, however there’s no ball this time because they already used it all.
“Instead of practicing an attack we’re not sure you’ll ever be able to do, you should be working on the attacks we’ve been using as well as serving and blocking!” Kageyama spat.
“But if this quick doesn’t work, there’s no point in me being on the court!”
“And I told you, your will isn’t needed for that quick! I’ll give you tosses that won’t be stopped by blocks!”
“But then I’ll never get better!” Hinata argued.
This is bad, you internally said. It’s not the usual bickering the two always do.
“The prelims for the spring tournament start next month! They’re right around the corner, what do you think will be an effective weapon for us? A complete quick or an absolutely useless quick!? Huh!?” Kageyama yelled, his hand already clutching onto Hinata’s collar.
“N-no fighting, guys.” Yachi stuttered, trying her best to get situation under control. “Calm down, Kageyama-kun. You, too, Hinata…”
“I want to be strong enough to compete by myself!” Of course, the two wouldn’t give any spare second to your friend’s pleading. And Hinata’s words seemed to be the trigger that snapped the chord.
“Your selfishness is going to destroy the team’s balance!” shouting in anger, Kageyama threw the shorter boy to the ground–the sound that echoed throughout the gym made both you and Yachi winced.
“L-Let’s all be f-friends, o-okay!?” Yachi stuttered.
“Stop it you two,” you stated, making sure to said it out loud so it could be heard. “Fighting doesn’t solve anything.”
Your heart thumping against your chest, your ears were ringing from the adrenaline rushing in your bloodstream. If you or Yachi couldn’t do anything, thing would escalate to a bad degree–the worst would be fist fight. And that would result the two being suspended from club activities. Separating the two physically wouldn’t be a good thing either–as much as you want to, you’re a girl and it would be dangerous.
“I’ll toss to anyone who’s essential to winning.” Kageyama declared. “But I don’t think you’re essential to winning right now. And I don’t feel any different now.”
“Kageyama!!”
Hinata certainly didn’t accept those words–picking himself up, he threw himself to Kageyama and clutching on to him.
“Damn it, let go!”
“I won’t let go until you give me a toss!”
 The second time Kageyama threw Hinata to the ground full force, you knew you had to stop this somehow. Turning to look at Yachi, who’s standing behind you, you said, “Call someone, Hitoka-chan. We have to stop them!”
“B-but, what about you [Name]-chan-!?” she yelped, not wanting to leave you alone in a place where two boys were fighting.
“I’ll be fine, now go!” Yachi immediately bolted towards the exit to search for anyone who’s near–now that left you with the two. “Stop it, Kageyama, Hinata!”
“Don’t be ridiculous!”
“That quick was stopped!! Today and during Seijoh’s match!”
“Are you trying to say that my toss was a fault!?”
“Enough!” You tried to pry Hinata away from Kageyama, holding onto his arm and pulled it. And it didn’t end up good for you. Maybe he was too blinded by anger or desperation or your existence currently didn’t exist in his mind, he shoved arm to shook you off.
His elbow hit you right in the stomach, which made you winced in pain and the sheer power you never thought he had thrown to the ground. If it’s only the ground then you wouldn’t have any difficulties, but you forgot there’s a volleyball cart near by and your back just happened to hit that first before the ground.
There will be bruises without a doubt.
Their yelling flew past your mind because the pain from your back and stomach already had your mind occupied. Soon, you heard another yelling and another set of footsteps. Yachi immediately ran and kneeled beside you.
“Y-you okay, [Name]-chan!? B-blood! You have blood on your arm!” she yelped, hands trembling.
At the mention of blood, you lifted your arm automatically–Yachi was right, there’s a long cut running from your elbow to your wrist. You didn’t even feel any pain from it, maybe it was being overshadowed by the pain from your back and stomach even though the cut was dripping blood.
It was a rough night for the four of you.
.
.
“This will be enough,” you said, making Kageyama stopped on his track to look at you. “My house is just around the corner. Thank you for walking me home, Kageyama-kun.”
“Y-Yeah…” he replied in stutters.
You didn’t immediately turn your back to him and walked away–because he was shuffling on his feet while looking here and there, you knew he had something else to say. Kageyama isn’t the best in pouring his mind into words, that’s why after knowing that you tried your best to be patient and let him composed himself to talk.
“Is there something you need?” you coaxed, noticing he couldn’t get his thoughts straight.
“Uh,” Kageyama lifted his hand, finger picking on the band-aid you put upon his cut from where Tanaka punched him. “Y-your arm,”
“It’s fine,” showing him the long cut, he stiffened when he rested his eyes on it. “It stopped bleeding and I already cleaned it so it’s fine.”
Silence fell between the two of you for the second time.
“Sorry…” Kageyama finally said–you almost didn’t hear it from how soft he spoke.
“It’s fine Kageyama-kun, it’s my fault anyway. I should’ve waited for Tanaka-san instead of trying to stop you two on my own.” You sighed. “I’m worried about you two more, to be honest…”
The raven-haired boy outwardly grimaced at your statement.
“But, I know everything will fall into place soon,” you quickly added, trying to ease the guilt Kageyama was feeling. “Hinata will find a way to have mid-air battles, and you will look for a way to do something with your tosses. Then in the end, everything will connect and Karasuno will have a new weapon.”
“…Yeah,”
Seeing Kageyama’s shoulders shook slightly, you understood this also took a toll on him somehow. Stepping forward until you’re one foot away from him, you reached your hand out to gently hold on to his. You didn’t really know how to comfort the opposite gender, usually you would just pull Yachi into a hug when she’s not having the best feeling. Kageyama replied to your gesture by tightening his grip on your hand.
Not caring for the time, you choose to stay with Kageyama until he let go.
Congrats on 3k!! SO its canon that Osamu loves onigiri n even opens his iwn shop in the future, I want to request a scenario where Osamu meets this girl who chill n nonchalant n loves onigiri(n all food!) just like him and isnt interested in him like all the other fangirls yk n hes just slowly falls in love yk hehe (set in high school pls!) Thank you!! I love ur blog!
Aight bet- I’m finally working on this piece skfkjdsfkjsdf
Genre: Fluff, one-shot
Warning(s): mild cursing, mild nsfw themes at the end
Foodie. (Osamu Miya)
- the one in which your love for food perks Osamu Miya’s interest-
-----------------------------------------
“Whoaa, Samu- why so much today?” Suna sweat drops at the sight of his friend’s lunch box as the gray-haired boy runs a hand through his fringe, shrugging lightly as his friend pulls up a seat to eat lunch with him at his desk. Breaking his chopsticks apart, his voice falls to a casual tone.
“Took ‘Sumu’s.”
“Why would you take your brother’s if you have the opportunity to get like six bentos a day?” Suna poked a straw into his juice, tilting his head with a lazy smirk.
Osamu visibly shuddered, pretending not to see the group of girls peering around the corner and into his classroom, knowing better. The first time he had accepted a bento from any of them, it had obviously been store-bought and rearranged to make hearts and such. The gesture would have been ignored and eaten if he didn’t find a few stray hairs in the octopus weiners, and the thought of someone’s hands rearranging perfectly good food made him queasy.
“I wish ‘Sumu’s rejects didn’t come to me.” Osamu mumbles, and Suna chuckles lightly, setting down his juice before peering to his right at the classmate who had settled back down in her seat from having her lunch in the courtyard.
“Oi, Y/N-san. That looks good.”
“You want the rest?” You offer, having made too much onigiri the night before, stopping the movement to put the lid atop your bento. You were done with it anyways, and the leftovers usually got put in the fridge to be forgotten about.
Suna glances at the onigiri, shrugging before taking the two left in the box as you smile cooly at his thanks, putting in your earbuds before laying your head on your desk to catch some much-needed shut eye before class resumed.
Osamu looks up, not really paying much attention to Suna’s interaction, with a now cleaned out bento-box as his dark eyes land on the now outstretched onigiri in Suna’s hand. The middle blocker shrugs, eating the pointed top of the onigiri with a content look on his face: it was good.
“Where’d you even get that?” Osamu’s voice was on edge as Suna rolls his eyes, pressing the ball of rice further.
“Some place safe, I promise. If you weren’t too absorbed in your food you would know.”
Osamu looks at the onigiri in his hand warily, seeing there were at least no hairs on it before sighing and taking a cautious bite. Onigiri was something he loved most, and he hoped taking this mystery rice ball wouldn’t ruin his-
wait.
Suna swore he could see stars in his friend’s eyes as Osamu took a second, larger bite, snapping his head up to meet Suna’s what the hell expression.
“Where did you even get this?” He repeated his last question, staring at the onigiri as if it had to be sheltered, protected, and loved under his care as Suna lazily finishes his last bite.
“Tuna mayo. I used special seasoning in the rice when I formed them.” You interrupt, yawning with a stray headphone out of your ear. “Turned out good, no?”
“Oh. I’m not interested in dating right now, sorry.”
The beat of silence that followed Osamu’s blunt sentence was heavy, and you amusedly look at Suna, who had the bridge of his nose pinched between his fingers.
“Oh. What a shame.” The teasing tone filled your voice as Osamu arched an eyebrow, and you glance at the slightly glaring group of girls before connecting the dots. Still, you couldn’t really find the meaning in explaining that his assumptions were surely not the case, settling for sticking your headphone back in and resting your head back on your desk.
Suna sighs as Osamu blinks, realization dawning onto him.
“Wait...she wasn’t-”
“No. She wasn’t. Idiot.”
The bell rang as Suna got up to return to his desk, and Osamu Miya casts a glance at the girl who sat next to him, tiredly pulling her earbuds out again to listen to the next lecture. A part of him wanted to apologize, but the thought of that had sent an unexplainable heat to the tips of his ears.
Instead, he rummages in his bag-
and you blink when a can of coffee hits the corner of your desk with a slight tap, Osamu pulling his notes out as if he hadn’t in the first place. He sits forward, feeling your confused stare as he flips open his notebook.
“For the onigiri.”
-------------------------
“Again? Another one?”
“Don’t act like you don’t get them too.” Osamu sighs to his brother, shifting the letters around in his shoe locker to get his actual shoes. “This is all your fault, anyways.”
“The little pigs never learn, do they?” Atsumu grins, and his twin rolls his eyes at the brashness of his words as Atsumu’s shoulder touches the lockers. “You coming to practice today?”
“Do I have a choice?”
“Nope.” Atsumu pops the p, spinning on his heel. “I’m going ahead, sweet brother of mine.”
“Bite my ass.” Osamu replies evenly, shoving the letters deeper into his locker.
“No, mine is better. Thanks for the offer though.”
The wing-spiker runs a hand through his silver hair, seeing out of the corner of his eye a group of girls hyping up the girl in the middle, looking in his direction as he witholds a sigh. He didn’t hold the brashness of his brother, but he did get tired of the endless confessions sent his way, based soley on his looks- nothing else.
His mental preparation for rejecting her was interrupted when a hand reaches out, and dark eyes widen slightly when you lean into him, your hand resting on the area of the side of his body. Osamu arches a brow at your easy smile as your face remains inches apart from his own.
“What are you doing?”
“Give it...twenty more seconds.” You reply, and Osamu blinks in utter confusion, about to ask what the absolute hell you’re talking about before a series of footsteps run away, a few whimpers in the mix as you pull back abruptly.
“They’re gone.” You say, opening up your own shoe locker before slipping the pair out casually. “Sorry if that made you uncomfortable, hope it was at least better than having to deal with another crying girl.”
Osamu remains silent as you tap the point of your shoe against the ground twice before glancing at him, slinging your bag over your shoulder.
“You don’t have to be so...emotionless about it, you know? A simple apology afterwards would be enough. But hey, you don’t have to listen to a stranger.” You wink, waving backwards. “Sorry again, I thought I’d thank you for the coffee. It woke me up, Miya-san.”
Your footsteps stop when he finally speaks.
“...Osamu.”
You glance back in surprise.
“You can call me Osamu.”
“Y/N.” You smile a little, nodding your head before continuing to walk. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Osamu.”
Osamu didn’t reply as you walked out of the school, watching from behind you as you untangled your headphones in the midst of walking-
not understanding the foreign feeling of being on the other side of a crush, usually being the one crushed on all this time.
-----------------------------------------------------
“Y/N, got any free food for me today?”
“Suna, I swear-”
Suna grins lazily at you as you cross your legs, rolling your eyes playfully as Osamu scoffs at the audacity of his friend. Today, you ate your lunch with the two boys in your classmates you had somehow grown closer to, ignoring the heated stares on the back of your neck.
“I’ll trade you a tamago for a kaarage.” Suna says finally, and your eyes light up at the offer.
“Deal.” You say immediately, Osamu hiding the beginnings of a smile at your love for food behind his hand as he continues to eat. Suna easily swipes one of the pieces of chicken from your box, putting into his mouth before nodding as he chewed in appreciation for the flavor.
The silver-haired middle blocker found himself not eating anymore when Suna held a rolled egg up to you on that same pair of chopsticks. You look at him strangely, and Osamu, the quieter one of you three, could only watch as you ate it anyways.
“It’s good, right? I made it.”
“Tell your mom I send her my regards.” You reply nonchalantly, and Suna groans at how easily you had figured out his lie before you notice that the quiet Osamu had somehow grown even quieter.
Did...did you two just indirectly...?
You and Suna exchange glances, and the dark-haired boy simply shrugs before going back to his lunch as an idea pops into your head.
“You want to try, Osamu? I won’t make you trade anything for it.”
“Favortism, much?”
The middle blocker feels his chest swell when you lift your own chopsticks up to him, grinning when Osamu’s spirits immediately lift.
“You and food, it’s abnormal-”
“Suna, no one likes your commentary.” You bite back, and you tilt your head slightly when Osamu takes your wrist, steadying your hand as he eats the kaarage at the end of your chopsticks.
You’re wide-eyed when he pulls back, chewing with the beginnings of a smirk on his features at the doe-eyed expression on your face. The place where his hand held was warm.
“ S’ delicious as always. Thank you.”
----------------------------------
The sky swirled with dark clouds forming over head as you looked up, frowning while tightening your hands on your grocery bags. Osamu glances at you, the light patter of rain hitting the pavement as you look at him guiltily.
“Sorry ‘Samu, I shouldn’t have asked you to come shopping with me after school.”
The unlikely friendship had developed to the point where you and Osamu were really good friends, the silver-haired boy even seeing you home on some nights after an unplanned hangout with Suna after their volleyball practices.
You even called him ‘Samu, and he didn’t correct you.
....In fact, he liked it when you called him that.
“Mm. Yeah, you shouldn’t have.”
“I hate you.” You pout, and Osamu puts a single hand atop your head, shrugging while smirking a little.
“No you don’t. Got anywhere to be tonight?”
“Nah, no one’s home right now.” You chewed on your lip, knowing Osamu was watching you as you stared at the coming rain. He knew you hated storms, and in all honesty wanted to get you somewhere safe with people as soon as he could.
“Want to come to mine? ‘Sumu’s practicing extra and my parents are working.”
“...are you sure?” You say in unease, and Osamu clicks his tongue before taking the bags from your hands and setting them down, shuffling in his practice bag for a second.
“Here. We’ll run to mine, it’s not far from here. Pull the hood all the way up.”
“Awh, do you care about me?”
Yes. “Nah, don’t get your hopes up.”
Osamu watched as you slipped the oversized material over your head, coughing to hide the smile that came at the sight.
“You’re telling me we’re going to run? In the rain?”
“Do you want to protect the food you bought or not?”
“...you’re right, let’s go.”
-------------------------------------
He could definitely get used to this.
Almost immediately, Osamu had shoved you into the bathroom after turning on the hot water, ignoring your whines about how you were fine before setting a folded pile of one of his shirts and sweatpants in front of the door.
It felt comfortable, the pouring of the rain outside, as Osamu mixed broth in a pot while knowing you were here with him in the safety of somewhere he knew you’d be okay. Months of friendship hadn’t made him take any particular advances towards you, seeing as you hardly noticed his feeble attempts anyways. Suna’s advice to just go for it, rang in his ears, the silver-haired boy becoming so lost in his thoughts he doesn’t see you enter the kitchen.
His breath hitches at the bareness of your legs, his shirt covering down your form to mid-thigh as he quickly returns his attention back to the pot.
“I left pants there, you know. Real comfy.”
“They don’t fit.” You shrug, approaching the sink. “Do you need me to wash the vegetables?”
He merely nods once, fighting to keep his heart rate under control as you do so, continuing to bring the broth to a boil. Still, he physically liked the atmosphere of you here in his kitchen, wearing his shirt while making dinner. Your hair was damp and pushed to one side, and you hum a light tune to yourself as you begin to chop carrots.
“My curry is going to knock your onigiri out of the water.”
“I’m offended.” Osamu glares at you as you giggle, looking down at the final product after an hour. You offer him a bit of the broth on a spoon, rolling your eyes at the cautious look on his face when he sips it.
A pleasant look crosses his face before he can stop himself, and you grin, not really thinking about it as you put the spoon in your mouth to get a taste for yourself. You cheer, jumping up and down cutely as Osamu leans against the counter, crossing his arms with a small smirk as you open up the rice cooker.
“Man, wish Suna was here. We made way too much.”
A spike of jealousy flits through his stomach as he watches you begin to plate the food, his jaw clenching.
He wanted this. He wanted your banter, your cooking, your love for food, and your nonchalant personality.
 He wanted you. He wanted you with no risk of losing you to anyone else, no matter how platonic.
Just go for it.
“Y/N.”
“‘Samu, can you grab the-?”
You never finished your question.
Osamu took two wide steps across the kitchen, hand grabbing your waist to pull you into him tightly while his other hand rested against the counter top on your side. He gripped onto the stone countertop as he kissed you, roughly and impatiently, as you sigh into it as if you had been waiting for it.
He deepens the kiss, his tongue slipping your lips as the hand on the counter moves to entangle in your hair. He uses his weight to lean into you, lifting you slightly to sit you on the counter as he stands between your legs, the smell of your clean skin filling his lungs in the now heated kitchen.
When a sound slips your lips, he’s pulling back, wide-eyed at the fact that he had let every bit of pent up emotion spill out of him. You bite your slightly swollen lips, pulling him closer to you with your hand on the side of his neck.
“It’s about damn time.”
“Whatever.” Osamu says, the corner of his lips quirking up as he kisses down your neck sweetly, loving the way your bare legs tightened around him. All the sexual tension, every moment of heavy silence that seemed to say all the words he had feared to say, all combusted in this moment.
“Samu?” You pipe up, pouting when his hand begins to slip up your thigh.
“Hm?”
“Can we eat first?”
Osamu stares at you for a second before chuckling, resting his head on your shoulder as you kiss his temple.
“Of course we can eat first. God, I love you so much.”
Hot Pot
Nothing soothes the soul like hot pot /j
This is... Modern AU. Yeah, I’m aware PGR already takes place in a futuristic setting but I wanted to step away from that and... you can either pretend they’re in high school or college. Shh, it’s an AU.
Still, it felt weird to make them not use “Commandant” or “Captain”, so you can interpret that as an inside joke of theirs.
Tumblr media
“Uuu… s-so cold…” Hamea’s breath came out as a small puff of white in the frosty air. “I-I think I’m starting to lose feeling in my face…”
“Commandant, you should have listened when I said to bring a thicker coat,” Liv gently chided, a frown on her delicate face as her hands softly rubbed the sides of Hamea’s arms.
“Sorry, sorry… It was a lot warmer during the day, so I didn’t think it’d ever get this cold… Still, that should mean the hot pot would taste even better, right?”
Lee sighed at that.
“There’s no point in eating if you’re a frozen block of ice by then.”
“Let’s hurry and get inside,” Lucia said.
The raven-haired girl reached for the door and opened it, allowing everyone else inside first before closing it behind her.
Hamea sighed in relief with the gentle warmth of the restaurant immediately chasing away the biting cold.
When they entered the establishment, the hostess enthusiastically greeted them at the front.
“Good evening! Do you have a reservation with us?”
Chrome stepped up to the counter and answered, “I have a reservation for 11 under Chrome.”
The hostess checked her tablet and eventually nodded with a wide grin—most likely at the prospect of the huge gratuity tip to come. She moved from behind the counter and gestured to the group, “Well then, right this way, please.”
She led them to what seemed to be a private dining room. Hamea wondered if Chrome had specified this arrangement considering their… rambunctious group.
Their private dining room was so large and spacious, with a wide table that had four large slots for the soup broths. Despite there being only four, the sheer size of it could easily accommodate the size of this party.
Although Hamea had seen her share of pricy establishments, even this had almost made her eyes pop out.
The hostess momentarily left to grab an extra chair.
“When you have settled into your seats…,” the hostess held up a tablet for them to see and placed it on the table, “please use this to place your orders and we’ll bring it out for you as soon as possible.”
Everyone climbed into their seats, with some debate over who sat where.
Lee scowled at Wanshi and grumbled, “Why do I have to sit next to you?”
Wanshi languidly shrugged his shoulders in response.
“Where else am I supposed to sit…?”
Kamui snatched up the tablet right away—as it was closest to him—and started scrolling through the menu, his lilac eyes sparkling at the wide variety: “Whoaa! There’s so much on here… The soup broths alone have eight different options. Ah, looks like we have to choose the soup before we can pick anything else.”
“Oi, don’t hog the entire thing to yourself!” Karenina yelled from the other side of the table.
“Hold on~.”
As Kamui contemplated the choices, Chrome said to him, “Don’t get something too spicy, it won’t be good for your stomach.”
Hamea and Camu felt there was another reason for why Chrome suggested such a thing. Although neither of them voiced their thoughts, the latter gave her an expectant look.
“Let’s get the tomato soup broth then, Captain!”
“That sounds good.”
Kamui then passed the tablet over to Karenina, who had only given the menu a few seconds of her attention before giving it to Hamea.
“You better pick something good.”
“Sure thing. Hm… let’s see…” Hamea glanced over at Camu and asked Karenina, “Is it alright if I choose something spicy?”
“I can easily handle something like that!” the girl said with a proud grin.
“Then how about spicy pork bone soup?” Hamea suggested.
“Huh? If you want spice, then why not go with this one?”
Karenina then pointed to the option above the spicy pork bone soup.
“Which one?” Camu asked, trying to get a look at the screen.
“Ah… the mala soup base…?” Hamea sheepishly laughed. “I’ll have to pass… I don’t like the numbing feeling it gives you.”
“Hm. Well, spicy pork bone soup doesn’t sound awful. Let’s just go with that then,” Karenina agreed.
She then took the tablet from Hamea and passed it around the table, with everyone eventually making their choices—mushroom soup broth for group 1 and regular pork bone broth for group 2.
“Ah, I almost forgot to mention this restaurant has a self-serving station,” Chrome spoke up, pointing down the hallway. “You can help yourself to the sauces and mix your own, and I believe they also have snacks too.”
Kamui had practically leapt out of his seat as he cheered, “Oooh! We should definitely go check it out, Camu!”
“Hm… wonder what they have to offer.”
Hamea moved out of her seat to let the others go.
“Mr. Watanabe, do you have any idea what to mix?” Liv asked.
“Usually these places offer a recipe or two for people who don’t know, but I do have some of my own that work too,” he said.
When Lucia turned around and saw that Hamea sat back down, she stopped to ask, “Commandant… you’re not coming along?”
“Nah, you guys can go first,” Hamea said, waving her hand. “We should probably keep at least one person at the table, so just go on ahead.”
“Mm… okay.”
Not long after the group left, a waitress had arrived with their soup broths. Once she set them down in the proper sections and turned on the stovetop, she excused herself and Hamea offered a quick “thank you”.
Hamea held out her hands, relishing in the extra warmth along with the fuzziness in her chest. A content smile had spread on her lips without her even realizing it.
Her ears eventually picked up on the group’s commotion as they came back down the hallway, though what she heard was… slightly concerning.
“Watch it, Kamui, it’s going to start tilting on your end!” Lee nagged.
“Have some faith in me, I can do this!” Kamui argued.
“You needn’t worry, Lee. Kamui has steady hands when it counts,” Chrome said calmly.
“Still… it’s hard not to be concerned when it’s stacked like that,” Bianca noted.
“Then again, given the choices, this was the best arrangement possible,” Liv remarked. “Lucia, you’ve got this!”
“Carrying something like this isn’t a problem,” Lucia assured her.
Hamea had contemplated getting out of her seat to see what was going on, but by the time she came to a decision, the group had already returned to the room. The sight that greeted her was… an interesting one, she had to say.
Chrome, Kamui, Lee, and Lucia were carrying a large platter of fruit—cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew, and orange slices—that were meticulously arranged into a tower. It was stacked so high that the slightest mishap could topple it over. Was it… a coincidence that all of the choices were ones that Hamea loved the most? She tried not to think about that fact, but she still couldn’t help her hand going to her mouth to cover her gasp.
“Whoa… you guys got so much,” she said.
“Well, Commandant didn’t come with us, so it was only fair that we brought something back for you!”
Kamui’s answer had come out so effortlessly, and the bright grin he offered with it was infectious.
Lee cleared his throat: “Ahem, we should put this down before we drop any of it and it all goes to waste.”
“Ah, we should also figure out what to order while we eat this. The soup came while you guys were gone,” Hamea suggested.
After they carefully set down the fruit platter and everyone got back into their seats, Camu passed a small bowl of sauce over to Hamea.
“Hm? This is…?”
She looked at Camu with a bit of confusion.
“Everyone else got theirs, so I figured to mix something for you too.”
“Oh…” Hamea’s smile widened even more as she said, “Hee-hee… Thanks, Camu!”
Though she couldn’t discern everything he had mixed, it did include minced garlic, scallions, and cilantro. She was then nudged on the side by Karenina.
“Hey, take a piece before it’s all gone.”
“Ah, right.”
Hamea reached for a slice of watermelon and happily bit into the juicy red fruit. Everyone soon followed suit and helped themselves to the platter. In the meantime, Chrome had the tablet in his hands, with Kamui and Wanshi both peeking over at the screen.
“Right now, I have four orders of beef tongues and short ribs,” Chrome read aloud. “What else should I add?”
“Fatty beef and ribeye!” Kamui eagerly chimed in.
Wanshi stared at him, eyes half-lidded from laziness, in exasperation as he quietly muttered, “All meat…?”
“If you want variety, then you should add a few servings of Chinese cabbage and oyster mushrooms,” Watanabe said.
“Not a bad choice,” Lee agreed.
“We should also get some udon noodles,” Bianca added.
“Ooh, and some dumplings!” Hamea said.
Chrome nodded his head as he added their suggestions. After sending in their order, he set the tablet aside.
“By the way, we’re about to have a week off of school soon, right?” Kamui asked.
“The week after next,” Chrome answered. “Why do you ask?”
“Because we should go on a huge trip for vacation!” he said giddily. “Wouldn’t it be fun if we went skiing or something?”
“Shouldn’t you be studying?” Lee pointed out.
“Ehh? But the other day, you and the others were talking about what to do over that week!”
“The group project is due shortly after that, followed by exams. Our vacation is the only time to prepare for both.”
“Ah but… skiing sounds fun,” Hamea remarked, “or ice skating… Well, sightseeing in general too, hehe. We may have exams and our project coming up soon, but it’s also worth taking a breather from all that.”
“It would be nice to do something in the snow,” Liv agreed.
Lee suddenly seemed less dismissive about the idea of going on a group trip.
“We could also rent out a cabin with a fireplace,” Bianca said.
Karenina nodded along: “That doesn’t seem too bad.”
As they continued to throw out ideas for their vacation, a machine had arrived with their order, though it had accidentally bumped into Camu’s elbow. The silver-haired man said nothing as he moved the plates to their table, while Hamea and Kamui passed them around.
Soon enough, the smell of food cooking in the soup filled the room as everyone added to their pots.
Hamea hummed as she scooped out the cooked fatty beef, and handed several pieces to both Karenina and Camu before helping herself. She dipped the meat into the sauce and put the entire piece in her mouth, though she winced as it was still rather hot.
When she was able to chew it, she found the meat was tender and bursting with flavor.
“Mm~, this sauce you made is pretty good,” she said contentedly.
Camu huffed with a bit of pride, a smirk on his face as he agreed, “Naturally.”
As she took another bite of the meat, Hamea noticed that Kamui had a strange look on his face.
“Is something the matter?” she asked him.
“Hmmm… There was something I’ve been thinking about,” he said. “So, theoretically speaking, if you were ever stranded on an island—a deserted island… who from this table would you choose to be stuck with?”
Lee was the quickest to answer, “Do not ever let me be stuck on an island with you.”
“It wouldn’t be much better to be stuck with you either!” he argued. “Who knows how long it’ll take for me to even chase you down!”
“What does that mean!”
Chrome, who had been genuinely contemplating the question, asked, “Are we not allowed to take anything with us? Just one other partner?”
“Yup, that’s right! And you can’t just go choosing the Commandant, cause I know you’d argue about it.”
“We’re not like you,” Camu nonchalantly commented as he leaned forward to pull his udon noodles out of the soup.
“I’m pretty curious to know who Camu would choose though,” Hamea said.
“Not Kamui.”
Kamui whined, pretending to be offended by Camu’s words, “How harsh!”
“Ah, but… Kamui is also pretty strong. He’d be good at collecting supplies,” Liv noted.
“True, but there’s more to gathering supplies than just being strong and carrying it back to base,” Watanabe reminded her.
“What do you mean? It can’t be that hard to chop a tree or find water,” Kamui said.
“Do you know how to purify water…?” Wanshi asked.
“Aah…”
Kamui, who had raised his chopsticks to make a point, suddenly lowered it and went quiet for a moment.
Lee looked straight at Hamea as he said, “Whoever’s stuck with Kamui is going to get dysentery on day one.”
“Still, it’s not the worst choice,” Watanabe added. “If we were to combine Kamui’s ability to get things done with my basic survival skills, I’d wager we could both survive on the island until help arrives.”
“Hehe, Watanabe and Kamui, huh?” Hamea hummed to herself. “That’s an interesting team.”
“Well! I, for one, would be a better choice than Lucia!” Karenina spoke up, her golden eyes focused on Hamea.
Upon hearing her name, Lucia, who had quietly sat out of the conversation, looked up from her bowl of noodles: “Hm…?”
“Because one thing I do know is how to light a fire!” Karenina explained.
“And how exactly would you plan to do that?” Chrome asked.
“Well, I do know how to make a campfire with regular wood. But if there isn’t… you just blow something up enough times and it’ll start a fire eventually.”
Chrome blinked as he processed her words and had nothing to say in response.
“That’s… I suppose…”
Lucia decided not to bother with the argument and continued eating.
Bianca patted Karenina’s shoulder and said, “That would be helpful for cooking and light, and there is some merit to knowing how to handle explosives on a deserted island.”
Karenina grinned.
“Hmph! Bianca gets it!”
Hamea looked around the table and realized there wasn’t a platter of mountain yam. As she tried to find the tablet, Camu had already picked up an order of it from the machine and turned to hand it to her.
When did he…?? Hamea blinked in surprise until she eventually snapped out of it and took the plate.
“Ah, thanks, Camu. Did you want some too?”
“Cook a few pieces for me.”
“Do you want them to be crunchy or soft?”
“Hm, I don’t mind either way.”
As Hamea added the mountain yam to the pot, she joined in on the conversation, “I think it’d also be nice to be with someone like Liv and Wanshi since they both know how to do first-aid.”
“Eh?” Liv seemed flustered to have her name mentioned, but she had a happy smile on her face. “W-Well, I’ll do my best to be of help.”
“Hamea does have a good point,” Chrome agreed. “It’s good to know how to get supplies or start a fire, but injuries are also inevitable on a deserted island. This type of hypothetical situation is certainly something to think about…”
“When you put it that way… maybe I will have to be a little serious about it,” Wanshi remarked. “Being on a deserted island doesn’t sound entirely bad either…”
“Because Captain’s not there to wake you up?” Kamui joked.
“…Well…”
Wanshi couldn’t quite deny that comment.
But at the same time… it would also be a good thing to have Chrome as a partner on the island, though he didn’t voice this particular thought.
“But I do think Hamea would also make for a good partner on a deserted island,” Chrome noted. “She’s well-versed in botany, so she would be good at identifying what’s poisonous or what’s edible.”
“Hee-hee… do you really think so?” Hamea bashfully responded.
“It’s all fun and games until the wind blows her into the ocean or off onto another island,” Camu teased.
“Hey!”
She nudged him with her elbow, though it had only earned a bark of laughter from him. Chrome put a hand to his chin, as if he was seriously thinking about that possibility.
“Chrome, I’m not gonna get blown away like that,” she huffed.
“But it would be concerning if there was a hurricane,” Lee interjected.
“A hurricane would blow anyone away though!”
The room was filled with laughter as they continued to eat their hot pot and talk, not quite thinking about the time that passed.
Eventually, as everyone had eaten their fill, Hamea stood up from her seat.
“I’m gonna go use the bathroom,” she said.
Chrome too stood up from his seat.
“I will have to excuse myself as well.”
The two suddenly stared at each other, fully aware of what the other was planning. Hamea rushed out of the room with her wallet, with Chrome following behind.
“Uh-oh, has the battle already started?” Kamui remarked. “Who do you think will make it to the register first?”
“Most likely Chrome,” Wanshi said.
Lucia shook her head: “I wouldn’t underestimate the Commandant.”
“Especially when she’s hell-bent on something,” Camu added.
“Like the time where she tricked Chrome and sprinted all the way to the register?” Lee reminisced.
Liv thought back on it: “But there was also that one time where it turned out Mr. Chrome had paid for our group in advance. Ah, then again, that was a buffet where you only had to pay the entrance fee.”
“…We should bet on it,” Kamui said with a grin.
“You owe me a soda if she wins,” Camu agreed.
“Deal.”
"good! now, i changed into much more comfy clothes. let's go."
i confidently opened the door. the hallway after midnight was a pitch of darkness. was it because no one was using the hallway at this hour? no light was visible from here. (though i did bring a candle just in case... right, this feels like a haunted mansion..!) my body started to quiver from the fear that something might jump out. but i knew that i couldn't escape this castle in broad daylight, so i had to bear it.
"phew.. you can do this, y/n"
i lit up the candle i brought. i slowly recalled the map i drew in my mind. i was originally planning to take the parchment with me, but decided to leve it just in case i get caught (w-was it this way...) i slowly took a few steps (th-this is creepy...) my footsteps rang the empty hall, and echoed through the dark castle ( i feel like i'm testing my guts...) i took my steps as softly as i could, step by step, crouching down "oi" (!!!) all my hair pricked up when i heard a voice calling me from behind. "stop"
(!!!) from the darkness, a pale white hand suddenly reached out to me, and covered my mouth "shh-" and it's other hand slowly wrapped around my neck "..!!" "hey-" a low, wet voice clang onto my ear "you should be more careful" "huff....!"
i couldn't say anything from the hand covering my mouth. the wet breath slowly drew near me "why are you wandering around here so late? what if someone bites you~?" "...!!" (i-it bit me...?!) something hard, wet, and hot gently pinched my ear, it was someone's teeth "come on"
then the hand that was covering my mouth pulled away. with a snapping sound, all lights in the hallway lit up "what are you doing out here at this late hour?." there stood Yuta, looking drowsy as ever "whoaa...! Y-Yuta?!"
"what are you doing out here? out of your bed this late?" and Yuta made a loud yawn "n-n-no, uh, you see-, it's-..." "...oh, i see you even changed your clothes" his eyes sharpened "are you on a run?" "n-no way!! i wouldn't-!! ugh..." my voice echoed through the silent hallway "alright, so let's hush. it's different at night out here, it rings louder than a day time" "oh, i-i'm so sorry...." "nah, i wasn't scolding you for it. so, why were you out here this late?"
(wh-wh-what should i say...) Yuta's eyes sharpened once more. it felt threatening that i was afraid of what to come if i told the truth "i-i changed m-my clothes..." "your clothes?" "a-and i like it...?" "you liked it?" "..s-so i wanted to..." "you wanted to?" "..sh-show it.... to you, Yuta..!" (... i'm sooo screwed..) it was an obvious excuse "...hmmm"
Yuta lowered his body towards me. and he whispered in a low voice into my ear "you look beautiful" "..!?"
unlike my expectation of him telling me to stop making nonsense, he clearly complimented me by saying i look 'beautiful' "th-thank you..."
(h-he whispered into my ears from so close..!!) maybe because of Yuta's sudden appearance, or something else-, my heart started to pund loudly "now. that's it for the compliment. we should go back to bed" "okay.."
Yuta took the candle from my hand "i'll walk you to your room" "oh, no. you really don't have to" "but how could i just let you go alone?. when you came all the way here to show me your new beautiful look?" "ha, haha... right. came all the way here... for you.." i let out a sigh, remembering that the exit was just around the corner "why are you sighing?" "no, it's nothing" "you don't like my reaction?" "no way, i, uh, liked it" "hmmm..."
then suddenly, Yuta halted in the middle of the hallway "...Yuta?" "or is it because you were caught running away?" "...!!!" Yuta's eyes sharpened, as if he was piercing through my mind "but, you weren't on the run, right?" "huh..? r-right! of course i wasn't! haha!" "right, you wouldn't run away. haha!" (wh-what's up with this guy..?!) i made and awkward smile, and was escorted back to my room by Yuta
(.. but you'll never stop me!!!)
after Yuta escorted me back to my room, i stayed awake. and for several hours, i carefully timed the chance for my second escape. i was standing in front of an illuminating cylinder "the teleport point..."
when i was about to step forward into the teleportation point, i remembered Yuta's face again
"you're beautiful"
"ah..." i felt a little embarrassed when i remembered his quiet, low voice "why now...?"
without realizing, i kept on thinking about Yuta. (though he's a little bit lazy, he was sincerely worried about me.. it was actually quiet fun to be around him) i was surprised that my mind was full of Yuta. "no, no. you gotta go, y/n. you really have to leave"
just before i fully stepped into the illuminating cylinder, i turned around and watched the castle (would Yuta worry about me?) but i can't marry Yuta only because he worries about me. (let's head to the human world first. the village chief might know something... anything, at least...) though he might never tell me anything even if he knows. unless... i bring him at least one head of a demon lord "...goodbye Yuta"
i made a silent farewell that would never reach Yuta- and stepped into the light "woah!" a strong, blinding light poured out. somehow, i thought i caught a glimpse of Yuta far away
"wh-where is this-..." after the flooding light faded away, i was finally able to open my eyes "desert..." it was an empty desert (wasn't this point supposed to lead to the cave?) but where i landed was not a dessert with the cave way to the human world, but i just a deserted desert
"...Haechan... Haechan, you bastard!!" He told me the way wrong
"Hey, who's there?!"
"?!?" soon, three dangerous-looking men appeared from a corner
"ooh, it's a girl!!"
"girl!! it's a girl!!"
(wh-what...?! i-i have to go back..! but... but how?!) i hurriedly looked around for the cave but nothing was caught on my sight
"but that girl.. she smells like human!"
"ah, i can smell it too. the drenching scent of human those stupid demon lords support!"
i could feel their hatred when they spoke the word 'human' (Y-Yuta..!!) i closed my eyes, and instantly, my mind was filled with Yuta again. "'i told you to listen to me! why do you have to torture this old man by not listening?!'" (... he'd certainly say that...) i could imagine his reaction clearly inside my head
"haha, shall we feast on this girl-?"
"...-ta.... Yuta...."
"huh? what the heck are you saying? speak louder, human"
one of the man grasped my wrist then buried his face into my neck "Y-Yuta..!!" "didn't i tell you to not run?!" from the distance, i could hear Yuta's shout "Y-Yuta?!" Yuta's face with a lazy pair of eyes appeared in front of me "b-but how did you-...?"
"L-Lord of the south?!"
"what?! was it this Lord's human?"
the men hurriedly threw me towards Yuta "ugh.." i was powerlessly thrown over, and held onto Yuta so i won't fall over "ey, wait- wait-. you really shouldn't be throwing girls." he held my waist with one arm, and he scratched his ear with his other hand and lowered his face near mine, whispering into my ear. "oi, you're so dead when we go home" "huff..." i instantly felt intimidated at his dangerous glare "close your eyes." then Yuta covered his hands over my eyes "farewell"
with a loud explosion, i was covered in a blinding light "..." "...." 30 mitunes after we arrived back to the castle. Laika was sitting in front of me, staring at me in silence. "...i.. i'm so sorry..." "oi, YOU!!" "yeek..!" "you had me worried so much" "..!"
unlike my worries, Yuta hugged me tight instead of scolding (ugh, i can't breathe..!) he held me too tight, that i didn't even dare to struggle
"why-... why did you-,,,, hah..." i felt the guilt arise from inside when he let out a sigh with half anger and half worry "i'm sorry.." i sincerely made my apology "you should be!" "oow!" Yuta lightly pinched my cheek and finally let go of me "you smell different from demons from the start. you understand?" "d-do i smell...?"
i took my wrist in front of my nose and sniffed here and there "i don't mean you smell. it's just, there's this distinctive smell of human" "that's amazing" "oi, aren't you paying attention? you were nearly dead" "...i-i'm sorry, sir..." Yuta started into my eyes for awhile, then returned to his normal drowsy manners "well, it's all good. didn't you get hurt?" "nope, i'm fine"
Yuta made a suspicious face, then pulled me by my arm "huff!" "i have to take a close look. humans got such fragile bones" (s-so close..) with one hand, he pulled my arm, and with the other hand he gently pulled my chin towards him
he was pulling so hard that i couldn't move or take a step back (how come he's pulling me so firmly...?) "...hmmm" "..!"
his warm breath tickled my ears and i blushed my face without realizing (wh-why am i so nervous...?) "...hey" "s-sorry?!" Yuta made a mischievous grin and spoke in a low voice "why are you blushing?" "i-i'm not!" "hmm~ don't you agree that this old man is quite good looking from up close?"
(what is this pervert saying?!) but somehow, i couldn't deny, so i just closed my eyes ( i can feel him drawing nearer!) i could feel a figure getting closer beyond my closed eyelids (h-his nose's gonna touch me!) when i could feel his nose slightly brushing my nose, i pulled his collar and looked away "haha!" "...?" suddenly, Yuta bursts into laughter "ha.. haha-"
Yuta let go of my hand and started to laugh out loud "wh-what was that?!" "what were you expecting? come on, i told you that this old man, has a very picky taste-" "meanie!" i quickly grabbed a cushion nearby, and threw it towards his laughing face, but Yuta gracefully caught the cushion "i'm going to my room!" "alright~ go rest" (such a meanie!) but when i was about to leave his room, "y/n" Yuta called me from behind with a stern voice unlike usual "...yes?..."
at they pressuring voice, i slowly turned around and answered "you were lucky this time. don't run away" "..." "you might get killed" Yuta's eyes were piercing through my body so sharp that i could hardly breathe (s-scary..) "i don't wanna see you get hurt"
(..!!) then instantly, Yuta's eyes changed the mood and softened. it was pity-. no. it was clearly, a worry. (but, why?) my heart started to pound as i watched Yuta's face, dying from worry. someone worries about me, and someone thinks about me, and- (a face, that he might die, if i disappear...) as his sorrowful face, i asked him before i could think "...you worry about me?" "...because you're mine" "sorry?!"
when i was startled at his words, Yuta shrugged and climbed up the bed "it's this old man's nap time. you got me awake during the morning" "wh-what did you just-..." "zzz~"
He made a sleeping sound and tossed his body to the other side (Y-Yuta.... i really don't understand his real intentions...) i quickly stepped outside the room and closed the door behind me.
Part 2 of Obsessed with you
____________________________________
Sitting and waiting on the Bullhead wasn't the most exciting thing and it was nearly killing you as Blake read beside you. It had been one of your biggest dreams to become a hunter, but you nearly gave up on it because of Adam and the White Fang. But now you could finally become the greatest one that ever lived.
["I'm sorry, Y/n but You need to focus more on the White Fang instead of your little fantasy. You'll help more that way."
You bit your lip before slowly nodding. "You're right like always, Adam." You let out a loose chuckle.
Adam gave you a quick smile before gently patting your head. "That's the perk of being the older one."]
You let out a small groan before leaning onto her. "Are we almost there?"
Blake didn't care to answer you right away, smiling slightly at your childish behavior. "Just wait a bit more."
You sighed and crossed your arms, and was about to complain a bit more before you were rudely Interrupted.
A hologram of a blonde woman appeared, grabbing your attention.
"Hello, and Welcome to Beacon."
A blonde girl your height glanced down to a smaller girl with black hair and red tips and asked, "Who's that?"
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch."
"Oh."
"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen, Huntresses and Hunters, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect the world."
And after that wonderful speech, Glynda disappeared, leaving you starting in awe.
You'll finally be able to live your dream. A bright smile made its way onto your face as you leaned back into your seat, the feeling of overwhelming joy running through your veins.
Turning your gaze out the window, you noticed how small everything looked. "Whoaa.."
While you were busy looking at all the scenery, feeling amazed by it all, you didn't seem to notice Blake's eyes wandering away from her book and taking long glances at you.
Timeskip x1
You let out a small satisfied sigh as you stretched out your arms only to cringe as a blonde boy puked his guts out in a trashcan nearby.
"Come on, Y/n." Blake said, gently grabbing one of your hands before pulling you along, somehow reading and walking at the same time.
Stumbling slightly, you let her drag yourself around. "I am!"
Then she went back to being quiet, which led to a comfortable silence between you two as you analyzed the other soon to be students. Or well, that was until a small explosion was heard and a small glass bottle landed near Blake's feet.
Never taking her eyes away from her book, Blake picked up the bottle.
Such an incredible reader... You snicker quietly to yourself before turning your gaze over to two girls.
The same small girl you saw on the Bullhead and a..Schnee...
And suddenly your scar over your left eye started to feel like it was burning again.
Blake finally took her attention away from the book and turned the bottle around to see the Schnee Dust Company's Logo. She glanced up to see The Schnee yelling at the Bullhead girl.
"Stay here, I'll be back." She mumbled to you, handing her book over to you too, before walking away. You nodded and nervously fixed the bandana covering your eyes, deciding to watch the scene play out.
"I'm really, Really, sorry." The bullhead girl played with her fingers as she tried to apologize. But Weiss wasn't taking it.
Having both hands on her hips, she continued to complain. "Ugh! You complete dolt! What are you even doing here?" She scoffed, "Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?"
"Well- I- I-"
"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparing and practice, you know?" Weiss crossed her arms, frowning as she continued to scold her. "We're here to fight monsters. So, watch where you're going." She finished as she looked away.
"Hey I said I was sorry, Princess." The Bullhead girl defended.
"It's Heiress, actually."
Blake calmly walked over to the two, before standing a few feet next to them.
"Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company." She brought up the dust bottle. "One of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."
Weiss smiled at Blake, mistaking her knowledge for something good.
"Finally! Some Recognition!" She sent a quick glare over to the bullhead girl as Blake continued.
"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners."
Weiss' smile fell as she glared at Blake, "Wha- How dare--! The nerve of--!" She was at a loss of words as The Bullhead girl started to giggle.
She just huffed as she snatched the bottle from Blake, storming away with the click of her heels.
The bullhead girl took a few steps forward before calling out, "I promise I'll make this up to you!"
And after that, Blake returned like promised as you gave back her book. "That looked like it went well." You joked as Blake shook her head.
"Let's just get going."
You playful rolled your eyes as you followed her, leaving behind the Bullhead girl. "Jeez, I'm just messing with ya, Kitty."
She lightly punched your arm, "You can't call me that in public." Her face turned a bit red as she playfully glared at you.
You chuckled before locking her free arm with yours, "Why not? Most would think of it as some pet name." You stated, this time pulling her along. "Now let's forget about the brat, and Make it into Beacon!" You beamed.
Timeskip x2
Finding Beacon's giant auditorium was relatively easy when following random strangers who seemed to know more in places you don't know.
"See? I knew where I was going." You boasted, standing tall as you pointed to yourself with a smug smile. "I'm the perfect leader after all."
Blake rolled her eyes as she glanced up at you. "Mhm, Sure. You totally didn't follow some blonde girl because you totally weren't lost." She said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
You shrugged, "Hey, it just happens she was going the same way." And before she could counter your argument, a man on a stage cleared his throat.
"I'll... keep this brief." He said, pushing up his glasses a bit. "You have traveled here today in search of knowledge - to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." He finished, leaving without another word as Glynda stepped up.
"You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins." She calmly explains, "Be ready. You're dismissed." She finished off, leaving the soon-to-be students to talk among themselves.
You couldn't help but smile. "You hear that, Blake? We're almost there."
"Yeah...We are."
Timeskip x3
You returned back to Blake after changing into a comfortable white shirt, and basketball shorts. Of course, she was reading when you came back.
"Do you ever put that book down?" You teased as you plopped down beside her. "OoooOo~ It's this one!" Blake was reading the book about the man with two souls again, which caught your attention. Now, You would never read unless you were really forced to but you did enjoy reading from time to time.
"What can I say? I just like to read unlike a certain Faunus I know." Blake remarked, not even caring enough to take a single glance at you.
You rested your head on her shoulder, being careful about your horns. "I wonder who that could be."
She just playfully sighed as you both peacefully read in silence until the blonde chick you followed to the auditorium and the Bullhead girl walked [The bullhead girl was kinda dragged] over to you guys.
The Blonde waved over to you guys, and sang, "Hellooooo~!"As she pulled the smarter girl closer. She placed both hands on her hips, as she continued, "I believe you two by know each other?"
Blake calmly looked up at them both, while you huffed quietly. You both were getting to the good part and they had rudely Interrupted. "Aren't you the girl that exploded?" She asked bluntly, causing you to repress a snicker.
"I- Uh- Yeah...." She stuttered, as she stuck her hand out for Blake to shake. "My name's Ruby." Only to get nothing in response. "But you can just call me...crater..." She blurted out awkwardly before saying, "Actually you can just call me Ruby..."
"Ok."
The blonde turned her head over to Ruby, "What are you doing?"
"I don't know, Help me!" She whispered-yelled.
You softly chuckled before lifting your head up, "Don't mind her, She's not a people person." You joked as you stood up, "She's Blake and I'm Y/n. Nice to meet ya Crater Face." You greeted while sticking your hand out.
Ruby grew a light blush before awkwardly shaking your hand. "Uhh...Nice to meet you too Y/n..!"
"Well, Y/n and Blake, I'm Yang!" Yang introduced herself, giving a friendly smile. "Ruby's older sister!"
You frowned slightly, remembering Adam before you shook your head. Can't focus on him right now. He wouldn't want that.
"I like your Bow." Yang said.
Blake just muttered out a quick thanks.
Deciding to continue the awkward conversation, "It goes great with your...pajamas!"
"Right."
You chuckled softly, as Yang tried to talk with Blake.
You turned your head back to Ruby, tempting to make a small friend. "I like your red tips. It makes you look cool."
Ruby smiled, "I like your toos."
"Uh, Thanks-!" Blake wasn't fond of it but you liked it. It kept some of your original hair color with your new (H/c) hair.
"Quick question if you don't mind me asking..."
"Huh?"
"How do you see right now?"
You stared at her for a few minutes before understanding. You were currently wearing a sleeping mask to cover your scar. "Oh, That's a secret~" You smiled. "Maybe one day I'll tell ya."
Ruby blinked before nodding. She turned her attention back to Blake after Yang said she was a lost cause.
"What's it about?" Ruby asked, causing Blake to look up at her.
"Huh?"
"Your book." Ruby explained, "Does it have a name?"
That peaked your interest too.
You never did really get the name of the book, You just joined Blake whenever she was reading it and didn't ask any questions.
Blake paused for a moment before answering, "Well...It's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body."
Yang smiled tightened a bit, "Oh yeah...That's real lovely..."
Ignoring her sarcasm, you nodded. "It's a really good book."
Ruby smiled at Blake, taking a step closer. "I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed."
"Stories of heroes and monsters, they're one of the reasons I want to be a huntress." She added.
Blake gave her a small smile as she asked, "Why is that?"
"Hoping you'll live happily ever after?"
"I'm hoping we all will." Ruby answered as Blake just stared at her before continuing on. "As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books. Someone who fought for what was right, and who protected people, who couldn't protect themselves."
"That's very noble of you, Ruby." You patted her shoulder, missing the quick glare Blake shot at her. "I'm sure you'll make a great huntress."
"Unfortunately," Blake spoke up again, "The real world isn't the same as a fairytale."
You frowned at Blake, taking a seat by her again. "Oh, Blakey, Don't be such a downer. We're here for a reason." But Blake just rolled her eyes.
"Ohhh, I'm so proud of my baby sister!" Yang trapped Ruby in a bear hug, even lifting her off the ground a bit.
"Cut it out!" Ruby whined in return before they started to wrestle on the floor.
You let out a laugh at the scene, but still feeling slight envy towards them. Blake must have noticed and patted your shoulder. She never liked to speak about Adam but she knew he was important to you.
You smiled at her before turning back to the two sisters. "Well, Crater Face, Yang, that was a wonderful cha-"
You were rudely Interrupted the third time today, or You thought it was three, you didn't care to remember.
"What in the world is going on over here?!"
Goddamnit..! You tensed up at the sight of the Schnee as she glared at the two sisters.
Ruby held onto Yang's foot as she tried to balance herself on one foot.
"Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep?!" She shouted at them, causing you to sweatdrop.
Yelling doesn't help people sleep either...You thought, refusing to start anything with The Schnee.
Yang and Weiss made eye contact and said at the same time, "Oh, not you again!"
Ruby quickly hushed them both, "Shh! Guys, She's right! People are trying to sleep!"
You turned your head over to Blake.
"Oh, now you're on my side!"
She frowned and set her book down, noticing you guys wouldn't be able to continue reading with them.
"I was always on your side!"
"Yeah, what's your problem with my sister?!" Yang butted in, starting to get defensive over Ruby. "She's only trying to be nice!"
You tugged on the sleeve of Blake's pajamas, and quietly whispered, "Quickly! Blow it out before they take this any further."
"She's a hazard to my health!"
And just like that, Blake finally blew out the candle, causing the whole room to turn dark.
