Interesting that Stephanie Brown reminds Dick of a young Barbara Gordon but reminds Bruce of a young Dick Grayson. So much to read into there.

They’re both projecting. They’re impressed by what they see in Steph so they liken her to the person they hold in the highest of regards; for Dick that’s Babs and for Bruce that’s Dick.

On the other hand, Stephanie, current Batgirl and former Robin, does in fact draw parallels to both Babs and Dick; the first Batgirl and Robin!! And Dick and Bruce recognise this. Her spirit is relentless and fucking unbreakable and she’s independent to a fault; qualities associated with Babs’ strong character. More technically, she’s light-footed, agile and always pinging around the battlefield, and she’s also cunning, always using her words to throw off her opponents; skills and techniques particularly associated with how Dick operates.

Another important thing to note is that that Dick, now Batman, has come to know Stephanie as the Batgirl, and so likens her to the original Batgirl, while Bruce still remembers Stephanie as his Robin, and so likens her to the original Robin.

Nevertheless, despite what a lot of the bat fandom may tell you, people can be more than just one thing.

First of all I'm sure Vox doesn't understand Rosie and Al's relationship at all, all he sees is that she's allowed to be affectionate with him and he's not, sees them as a couple because he doesn't understand Al's aroaceness or the relationship he has with Rosie (all he thinks is "what does she have that I don't??")

Rosie on the other hand, I love the idea that she teases him about it! Even if she doesn't have any romantic interest towards Al she understands she has a really special place in his non existant heart and is happy to rub it off on Vox's face any chance she gets (like hug Al or scratch his ears shamelessly when Vox is around eheh) and sometimes even has a "he's mine :)" energy when she teases Vox about it.

Would be even funnier if Alastor has absolutely no clue that the two of them have a silly rivalry over him

I didn't explore that yet in my art but that's such a great idea I'll note it somewhere in a corner of my brain 👀 I really need to explore Rosie Al and Vox as a trio more they could be so fun in so many ways. That post abt new years resolutions being fun changed me. Its like. My resolutions rn are to read more mytheopoeia nominees&winners because I've been getting into reading a lot of fantasy novels again and it makes me happy. And also buying and USING more stickers. Even if they're silly trendy things that I won't love with the same intensity in a year, or I'll have anxiety about sticking in 'the right place'. They're cheap, they're fun, they brighten my space and add a little bit of weird personality, they scratch the itch of covering my walls with giant prints I can't afford.

Just. 2024 resolutions: u are allowed To Do Things that are frivolous and have no deeper meaning or teleological function. Harmless fun isn't selfish! This is not a rake yourself over coals and be miserable out of guilt for your own existence behaviour.
