Trey's birthday is coming up and you really want to buy him a present.

But what if he doesn't want it? What if he just thinks of your efforts as annoying, or even worse what if he sees right through you and makes things awkward. What if he stashes things away and makes fun of them later, years later when he barely remembers your name.

What if he's secretly looking forward to your presence and hasn't even considered he'd be lucky enough to get a gift. What if... what if...

You didn't want to indulge Trey's teeth thing.

Sure it will make him happy, smooth over all your little insecurities pricking at your heart as you poke through the second hand store for what you had thought would be a really cute idea on your way here but now weren't so sure about. Besides you are pretty sure that everyone else is going to buy him a bundle of floss and call it a day, well other than Rook who has been waxing poetic about how he had "the most fitting cap for the Rose Chevalier" so all the more reason to put a little less of a personal interest into your gifting and more of a thoughtful touch.

As thoughtful as you could afford anyway. You aren't even sure Trey likes these sorts of things, though that worry is sort of drowned by how surprised you are to find nice looking china in Crane Port's equivalent of a Good Will. There is a nice selection of tea cups, mismatched saucer plates, and the odd pot sat all by its lonesome all with neatly written prices on stickers you don't look forward to scrubbing off.

Afternoon Tea Special~ Pick one Pot, 4 cups w/ saucers, creamer, and sugar bowl: all for just 25 T!

Cute, and not a bad idea you supposed even if it did feel a bit overkill. Your original intention had just been to pick up a sugar bowl and maybe one cup, something for him to put candies in that had a lid so no flies could get at his violets. But it really would be a shame to pass up such a nice deal and hey, if Trey didn't like it he could just ditch it with the Heartslabyul kitchenware once he graduated and never speak to you again.

"Oh this is such a cute little selection!" The lady at the counter's eyes practically sparkle as she carefully wraps up your choices in tissue paper.

"It's a birthday gift." You can't help but mumble and the sparkle flutters out to her entire body, ah that's right, this lady always did look a bit bored when you came in. It seems like you have fed her and her knitting circle for the rest of the week.

"Well then this won't to at all." She huffs and stops wrapping up your order and bends under her counter, the tell tale ruffles of paper and boxes sounding oddly comforting as she produces what you think is a hat box and proudly begins to organize the mismatched set and fetches out even more tissue paper. "Must be for someone important with how long you've been eyeing up a sugar bowl." She wiggles her eye brows. You try to keep your focus on said bowl, you didn't realize she'd been watching you but then again you have been coming down here every spare weekend to stare at it. This shop was nice, it had a bunch of cheap clothes and nick knacks that were used sure, but a life saver for someone from a completely different world. If the lady is thankfully not offended by your silence. She simply tacks your receipt to the box and sends you off with a wink.

"Thank you for your purchase! Please come back soon!" And tell me all bout it! You swear she says it but you don't hear it, too much blood is thrumming in your ears

The hat box is not out of place among the gifts on the party table, so trey doesn't have an excuse to stare at it even if his eyes keep coming back to it. It's lavender, plain save for the cream bow he hopes Yuu tied around it, and had been decently heavy when he picked it up before Cater scolded him about playing favorites.

"Be a good Senior and eat the cookies we made for you until Riddle brings out the cake." He flicks his nose with a knowing look. "Normal people save the best for last right? I'm sure Yuu-yuu will be fine with waiting, since they can barely look at you today~" And of course like a fool he whips his head to look, startling them and proving Cater's point as they immediately scurry back to Ace and Deuce.

"Screw you." He's only half joking but Cater's fully laughing and probably already took a picture. "I'm just worried they felt like they needed to bring a gift I would have been happy just to-"

"No you wouldn't have." For someone who likes lying to himself Cater really doesn't seemed thrilled with his choice to gaslight himself. "You would have spent the rest of the night thinking 'ooooh it'd be really nice if I got something from Yuu, I wonder if they hate meeee, I should make sure they think I don't care about helping them some more so they leave me alone and I don't have to think about how nice it would be to-'"

"Cater!" Trey has never been so grateful to hear Riddle yell about anything in his life. "Could you please help me with the cake? I was going to ask Yuu but they had to go back to Ramshackle."

"Yuu's back at Ramshackle?" Trey reaches to adjust his glasses, trying to ground himself.

"Yes, they said they were feeling sick and-" That's all Trey registers, though he hears the rest "went back to lie down, Grim insisted on staying to make sure the food didn't get them sick." It's his party, he can't just leave that would be an extreme violation of the rules but Cater's earlier accusation comes back to him. Make them think I won't care about them. It's not intentional, he thinks it's obvious he always will but then again-

"Fifteen minutes." Cater whispers under his breath.

"Thirty."

"You're delusional." Still Cater doesn't sound mad. "Eighteen."

"Twenty." He's already snatched up the hat box and making his way towards the doors.

"Awww Yuu." Phineas would pat your head if he could. "I'm sure it's not that bad, you're just overthinking things."

"Yeah I think anyone would be happy to get a gift from you!" Gus tries, all three ghosts perking up slightly when you smile just a bit at his encouragement. "And if not then well..."

"I know I'm just being dramatic but I couldn't stand waiting anymore." You don't mention how Ace and Deuce had been teasing you, not wanting to relive the absolute embarrassment of having been caught staring at their Vice-Warden one too many times for dots to remain unconnected. "I asked Grim to bring back some cake but I don't know if he'll remember."

"Oooh let's take bets on it!" Ezra cheers and a familiar, unexpected laugh interrupts sending the ghosts scattering and leaving you at the mercy of a familiar face.

"I think it's safe to say that would be a pretty obvious bet." Trey sets the hat box on your coffee table, folding his strong arms and firmly sticking a lump in your throat. "You should have bet on me."

"Returning your gift is not bringing me something." You huff and Trey has the decency to look a bit awkward.

"I'm not here to return it, there's rules to gifts you know." Oh no. "For example, on our birthdays, the Queen of Hearts says we get to ask for anything we want." He finally moves, unfortunately for you he's decided to use his height to his advantage and lean over the table to crowd you back into the couch. "And I spent a long time thinking about what I should ask for from you."

"Um- I well-" You're looking everywhere but him now, as if you were before. "I did get you a gift though?" He laughs.

"And you ran away before I could thank you." Trey begins to unwrap the ribbons, slowly as if he's waiting for you to look at him but not wanting to deny his curiosity any longer. "But that doesn't change the rules. Sorry, I didn't make them."

The sugar bowl is the first piece he finds, the shop lady has to have set it on top on purpose. His eyebrows raise, not in disappointment you think, curiosity hopefully as he slowly opens the rest of them.

"Sorry." You immediately say to fill the space out of habit, and Trey stops his examination to look up at you.

"What for?" He picks up the sugar bowl, just as amused as you with the clover flowers patterned across it in a nice twist on his name and half the accessories he owns. "Don't tell me you want this stuff back, its mine now."

"No! I'm glad you like," you cringe at the question in your tone and cower at the smirk on Trey's face "I mean I hope you like it."

"A hand picked tea set from the Ramshackle Prefect? It's perfect. Especially for a birthday gift for me." He carefully wraps up the cups and their saucers, silence once again falling over the room as you wonder why he hasn't called you out on your lie, the self doubt suggesting he hadn't noticed. "I meant what I said earlier you know."

"What, about making demands of me?" You say.

"Hey chill I only sort of meant it like that." He doesn't even bother trying to hide his amusement. "I mean betting on me. I know it might sound strange to hear me say, but I do have things I think are worth extra effort. And if I have to put in a lot of it to get you to understand that I am glad you are in my life, then I'll just have to do that." So he did know you weren't sick, and was just dancing around the subject to be polite as usual.

"Happy birthday Trey." Because what else are you supposed to say, and he tries his best to not let his disappointment show as he takes his opened gift back to the rose garden. "I'm- I hope you have a nice time at your party."

He pauses at the threshold of your dorm, the wicked smile returning. "I think I know what I want to ask you to do."

"Oh no." You did not mean to say that out loud.

"Mhm. But you are going to have to come back to Heartslabyul to hear it, but after the party, we can use our cups." Our cups he says, as if you had picked out any cups that were supposed to represent you.

He noticed, of course Trey noticed that there was no trace of Yuu in this very you gift. But he could fix that, if you would just give him a chance. And maybe get the calm celebration he actually wants when you do.

Hello Lady Raven! How do you do? I hope you're having a good day.

I was looking stalking at your blog when I saw your post which contained a world map of the game. This made me really curious: what informations do we have about the countries, kingdoms and other lands that appear in the map? Specially the Land of Dawning, Sunshine Lands and Kingdom of Heroes. Does the world of Twist have other lands that do not appear in the map? Are the shaftlands some sort of Twist Europe (as in; a bunch of countries that signed a agreement to be sort of unified)? And what is that big empty land north of the shaftlands?

I'm really curious about the countries and their cultures in the Twist world, I feel like we don't really have a lot of info on them, and as someone that really loves geography and history, that makes me a bit sad 😂.

Hello, hello!

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m able to compile ALL lore we have on all available countries, cities, and towns into a single post (especially when there’s a lot of other questions that have also been posed + need answering in your ask). That’s way too large of a scope for a single post. I did compile lots of food/related lore here if you want to take a look, as I find the food and food customs in a region say a lot about its culture and history. (Plus, I’m just very interested in food!)

If you’re curious about each location, you can find the bulk of information yourself in related hometown events—however, tons of lore tidbits are also dropped in non-hometown events (ex: Floyd talks about land training camp in the second beans day event), voice lines (ex: Dorm Uniform Leona says that in his home land, scars are seen as signs of bravery), and vignettes (ex: In Jade’s School Uniform vignette, Kalim talks about how serving very sweet tea is a luxurious way to welcome guests to your home in the Scalding Sands). There’s lots out there if you’re willing to search for it!!

Please be aware that we haven’t visited most of the areas on the map, so we are still missing a lot of information on them. The Land of Dawning, Sunshine Lands, and the Kingdom of Heroes are particularly lacking in information. They’ve been mentioned offhandedly every so often. Platinum Jacket vignettes feature the boys visiting the National Museum of Art in the Land of Dawning, and there are sometimes bits of lore which mention these lands. The Mermaid Princess that strengthened the bond between merpeople and humans married a prince from the Sunshine Lands, I believe. In his Broomquet card, Idia says there is a place called “Hydra Valley” in the Kingdom of Heroes (which probably is a reference to the place Hercules defeated the hydra at). Finally, Crowley went with Idia’s parents to the Land of Dawning with to discuss important matters yet to be explained to us. The Land of Dawning is also referenced in a call for evacuation in book 7.

The map you see above is definitely incomplete. We don’t see several vital spots marked even though we’ve visited them: the City of Flowers/Fleur City, the Scalding Sands (and Silk City), Clock Town, Fairest City, the Land of Swords, Dawn City, and more. Heck, the continent that contains Briar Valley isn’t even labeled but somehow Briar Valley itself is. We cannot tell if this is even the entire world map or just a portion of it, since Lilia describes “a land to the east”/the Land of the Crimson Long, but the most eastward locations depicted seem to be the Queendom and the Afterglow Savanna. I definitely feel like there has to be more to it than what we currently see.

I would caution against saying that “[TWST location] = irl location” as even though there are oftentimes strong parallels or inspirations drawn between the two, they shouldn’t be conflated for one another. TWST often forms cultures of its own or borrows from many inspirations to create these places and to present them to us. Comparisons can be made, but let’s remain cautious to not veer too much into that since there’s no clear 1:1. For example, the Shaftlands could be interpreted as “twisted Europe”, but not really because the area often considered “twisted Britain” (which is a part of Europe) is seemingly separated and located on the other side of the map. And then you notice that this “twisted Britain” has a collection of islands that very much resembles irl Japan, an eastern country. So… in essence, sure, the City of Flowers/Fleur City resembles Paris, Fairest City feels very European and German, and Harveston is a blend of Nordic inspirations, but at the end of the day, they’re their own thing.

We don’t know what the land right above the Shaftlands is as of right now. For all we know, it could just be even more of the Shaftlands since the country seems to be a large expanse of land with variable weather depending on the region.

I have a terrible plan for defeating the ghost bride that I like to call “Operation Homewrecker.” It hinges on convincing the bride that Idia can’t be married because he’s already taken by the Prefect.

If Idia is so perfect then of course he would have a partner already and now it’s the Prefect’s job to prove that Idia and them are so very in love and that the bride is an interloper. The entire plan is meant to be played out like something straight out of one of Lilia’s dramas, full of embellishments that leave Idia himself more and more confused. Ortho photoshops pictures at speeds unseen by the average person. Idia is almost convinced of their fake relationship himself.

Bonus comedy points if Idia and the Prefect have never spoken to each other before.

Extra bonus comedy points if, despite being strangers, the Prefect claims that Idia and them have a child together and that the bride is ripping a family apart.

There is no contingency plan for if Eliza opts to attack the prefect. Nor a goal to get the ring on her hand. Essentially everyone is hoping is that she’ll become someone else’s problem, somewhere else.

You know what? That plan sounds like an absolute trainwreck, and I love it. The theatrics. The drama. The spice. The plan is fuck around and find out.

Imagine all the boys that are stuck, Eliza, Idia, all the ghost attendants, hear a commotion outside the cafeteria and in storms the prefect looking like and complete wreck with Ortho in tow. Clothes disheveled, mascara down the face as if they had been bawling their eyes out.

They point at Eliza. "You Homewrecker!"

"I beg your pardon?!"

"You heard me! How dare you take my husband!" They flash a ring on their finger. "Idia and I are married, or do trollops like you not care? We have a child and everything!"

"Ghost lady, why did you take my papa away?" Ortho fake sobs so loud it hurts everyone's ears.

Its a spectacle.

If Eliza does beat their ass and freezes them, at least it was worth it. Give them an Oscar for the performance.

It happened in Book 5, Episode 5-13, near the end of the episode! As Cater and Lilia were explaining the Shrouds’ situation to Yuu and guys, Grim commented that Idia is a total brocon, or something among the lines lol

Keep dreaming Kalim, the dude literally sees you as a toddler to babysit!

Hmm, I think they aren’t super close, but those who are closer in age are more likely to be friendly with each other + those who have the same mom (let’s be honest, there is no way all of the Asim kids were born by one lady). And the younger ones probably love Kalim much more than the older ones, both because he is better at connecting with kids + because the older ones technically still have a chance to take Kalim’s place if they’re lucky. But they’re never openly antagonistic; the “default” state for all of them is that Kalim is their beloved older brother that is always playful, fun and kind.

There absolutely are some of the Asim siblings that are obsessed with Kalim and THERE ABSOLUTELY ARE some of the Asim siblings that are obsessed with Jamil!! Imagine looking at Jamil your whole life and not getting obsessed?? lol Jamil would probably think that his own little Asim fanclub is the worst thing to ever exist (having Kalim only is troublesome enough…), but wait until he learns about the KaliJami fanclub… Kalim’s little sisters watching these two always being together and being closer to each other than Kalim is to his actual real brothers? They absolutely ship them lol

Kalim really is such a toddler though… And while I don’t think his wish to see Jamil and himself “as brothers” is in any way related to anything brocon-like, I do think that he really wants to express that his bond with Jamil is special.

Alright, now we’re entering the people-are-annoying territory.

Yeah, Anon, this is one of the most annoying things. When they cancel a piece of media + an author + everyone who enjoys the same piece of media, at least it’s somewhat consistent. Still quite stupid, but it’s not trying to sit on two chairs at once. But when they harass artists and writers that are doing fan-content for a piece of media, but then completely ignore when the said piece of media does it… I always remember that twitter argument about how Ortho isn’t shota-bait and therefore the antis have all the rights to enjoy twst since they aren’t weirdos, plus all the endless talks about how Ciel isn’t at all sexualized in the manga and how there is nothing at all sensual in the way the official manga art for Kuroshitsuji is drawn… at times things that they say sound honestly quite concerning (i.e. things that they consider platonic or fatherly), and if I didn’t know for a fact that these people are just bluffing, I would’ve become worried about their own life experiences. But yeah, thankfully, this is just them trying to punish people for thirsting for twst characters and then somehow do it themselves without being called out for it. They enjoy that piece of media critically, which means they’re off the hook! Not like the “weirdos”!

I had a point to make, but I just got salty lol

Also yep, you’re completely right: the developers/the authors tend to distance themselves from the type of fans that ultimately negatively impact the enjoyment people get from their product, and it’s never the type of people who ship characters and draw smut with them. Really makes you think.

i haven't really thought out much about her yet, and shes not really based on any specific Disney character, but i have some fun facts about her-

Her shirt is the same style as Epel's, because its a spare pomefiore shirt that Rook gave her during her first week at school. She's really scared of him though. Her first encounter with him was him commenting on her messy uniform, (since i doubt that Crowley would do much more than just grab whatever's in the lost and found basket for Yuu and call it a day) Rook basically drags her to Pomefiore to play dress up while she tries desperately to find some excuse to leave jkhfdfdshhsd

She wishes she could have just kept the job as a janitor instead of being a student at first (but she comes to like school starting the second year) since she enjoys cleaning and tidying and just going for walks, so being an errand runner for Crowley didnt seem too bad to her.

Because of this i wanted to make Floyds nickname for her "Vampire squiddy", since they feed on marine snow and are generally one of the "cleaners" of the deep sea. They live really deep in the sea, matching her gloominess and dislike for crowds and bright light. BUT THEN I REALIZE THAT LILLA CALLED DIBS ON BEING VAMPIRE SQUID so now i don't know anymore... i guess shrimpy still works..

Ever since accidentally stepping on Leonas tail she's been avoiding him like the plague. She thinks he's still mad at her, and nearly cries anytime she sees him dshdhdhdfhj she thinks he's super scary

The skirt she actually sewed by hand herself , using a spare curtain from Ramshackle as fabric.

Back in her "home world" she used to collect and make her own jewelry, the one she wears is one of them. She makes friendship bracelets for her friends of course.

She's good friends with Ortho, and they are desk neighbors. He's tried multiple times to invite her over for game night but she's too scared to hang out with Idia around. But her an Ortho hang out and study together a lot :) he's the designated extrovert friend

Hi @alice-angel12x, I have a question, what are ghosts in the Death universe? Because if death takes all the souls, and with the help of Terry you count all the souls, ghosts are a special case . This question arose when I was watching the ghost marriage special.

And by the way, he asked me what the meeting of the ghost princess Eliza and Death would be like.👻

Ghosts are souls that Death let roam the world of the living. Usually, cause the soul had unfinished business. The ghost bride is a prime example of that. So Death makes a report to Terry to inform him to not count those souls.

Now, for the story

Y/n was aware of the ghost bride's arrival at the school. They remembered when they first meet the princess, when she died of the betrayal of a prince she hoped to marry. She begged Death to not take her just yet, till she found her true love prince, and marry him. Death parted her but said that if she chose a man from the world of the living, she will be walking a fine line. Death said they will be there to be sure the groom truly excepts this union.

So princess Eliza promised to be careful, and couldn't wait to see them at her wedding.

So when Princess Eliza was going to arrive at the school. Life called Death over to the Origin tree to discuss something. It was totally not just some excuses Life made to have alone time with Y/n Death.

So you can imagine Y/n's surprise when they return to see the school in such a state. Idia was basically kidnapped, Some students were held against their will at the wedding site in the cafeteria, students were trapped in their dorm, and Ortho was ready to blow up the school.

Y/n got what happened when they talked to Ortho, and Y/n Death was not happy. So they busted down the door to the wedding.

"I Object!" Y/n shouted, causing everyone to go silent.

The student with joy as someone who could put an end to this, and save them, finally arrived. With the ghost stood in fear as Death angrily stomped into the wedding hall.

"W-why does everyone keep interrupting my wedding?!" Princess Eliza whined. "It's almost midnight, and I finally found my true love. Why are you angry Death?" She glared.

"Shut up, you don't even know what that is. Since when do you tie up your "True love" and hold him captive?" Death asked as they got closer.

Princess Eliza stuttered as Death towered over her, Chubby tried to say something. But Death was quick to shut him down.

"Idia? What are your thoughts on this wedding thing?" Death asked.

"He is my-" "Shut up Eliza. Don't speak for him," Death spoke over her.

"I-I want Nothing to do with this. I don't even want to get married!" Idia shouted.

Death quickly cut his ropes, freeing the boy. Death then turned to the crowd of ghosts.

"I let you stay to make sure things like this wouldn't happen. Your princess begged me to let you stay so that you may accompany her. Why did you let this happen?" Y/n asked with a disappointed glare.

"We are tired of wondering the world, Sir/Lady Death. Many of us want to cross over into the great beyond," One of the ghost servants said, as the others cheered in agreement.

"W-wait, you all want to leave me alone," Eliza asked as tears wheeled up in her eyes.

"This is your dream, your highness. And we want nothing but the best for you. However we are tired of remaining here for so long," A maid ghost said.

Death opened a portal to the great beyond, and all of the ghosts began to enter the portal. The knight, servant, and even the royal family Slowly made their way to the portal. The princess could only watch as they peacefully entered the great beyond.

Soon all of the ghosts entered the great beyond, all except chubby.

"Princess, I will never leave your side. No matter what," He said as he gently held her hands.

"Cubby," Eliza gasped as tears of joy ran down her face. "Thank you so much."

"I love you, Eliza," Chubby smiled.

Suddenly things snapped in place For Eliza, her prince charming was by her side the entire time. She turned to death with a happy and shy smile.

"I have been a fool as of late. I was looking high and low for my love when he was next to me the whole time. And since the priest left for the great beyond. Could you do the honors?" She asked Y/n.

"Of, course," Y/n smiled.

Hi everyone!! Just some Grim theories and questions I needed to get out of my head!! May have spoilers

I don't think Yuu is the only one who is from another world. Don't you think Grim is too? Considering he knows nothing about Twisted Wonderland. Like he didn't know what Spelldrive or even Halloween. I understand he probably didn't come from the cities, but he must have at least heard of one of these once. For example, for Yuu, there is absolutely no way they should have heard of Spelldrive. There was no magic, and in their world, it wasn't an event. But if Spelldrive is so well known(even enough fo Tv) , it makes me think, " How has Grim never ever even heard of this"

Also before I kept brushing off the question about why he even came to NRC but now that I think about that's actually a good question. I feel like NRC was way too specific. Like there is something else that drove Grim to NRC rather.Because if he just wanted to become a great mage, he would've looked for another prestigious school like RSA (back then he didn't even know about the types of people who studied there) after being kicked out by Riddle. This also sparks the other question "How?"If he was travelling in the wild, how did he know abou NRC, its not like monsters would communicate with each other. Or if Grim was just floating around Twisted Wonderland, surely, he must have been spotted by someone. Like taken into custody because why would people have a direbeast amongst magicless people. Even if they didn't see Grim as a direbeast, they would see him as a familiar and insist on finding his owner

Also we know that he is a monster but I don't know if I'm the one who wasn't paying attention to the game but it does seem like no one actually knows what Grim actually is? I find it weird that the professors for such a prestigious college doesn't know what Grim is, and I'm assuming they actually do know a lot about the different creatures of Twst. I know about the overblot that happened at the beginning but its weird how no one knows a single thing about Grim. They called him a "direbeast" but that's still too vague. For example, a phantom is a monster, but if we had to specify, we would call then phantoms. But for Grim, I feel like we can't specify here. So I really can't tell who he is meant to be based on.

His past. I get that Grim doesn't actually know much of his past, but he is bound to come from SOME where. Not even his parents. During the winter break, he didn't show an ounce of feeling like going out. It makes me wonder as well that he hasn't shown any sign of curiosity about himself as well. All he knows is that he is a monster, and he wants to become a good mage(I don't think he even knows why he wants to be a good mage). It just sounds like someone brainwashed him to wanting that like that is just a future he can see himself doing, it don't even know if he truly feels for this.

Idia's findings.What I find weird is that he says when he tried to measure blot numbers, it goes crazy like people who turned into Phantoms. I think that Grim is actually a phantom. The question is, is the phantom of who? Most of the phantoms we have seen through the overblots are linked( for example, the old lady phantom for Vil's overblot). Grim must be linked to someone else. I am actually not sure if it is Yuu since Yuu is incapable of using magic, but then again, who knows. But then again, he is way too close to Yuu, like them both being one student, the fact he was so attached to Yuu at Chapter 6, and maybe even them both sharing Ramshackle.

Lastly, this links to what I just said. I think that Grim is actually a very power-hungry monster. Yes, he had shown some feelings for Yuu during Chapter 6, but it shows that all he wants is to be a strong magic user. For example, eating the stones, he ate the stones before losing control, I feel like those stones somehow contained a bit of "evil" from the users. Like Riddle is now more lenient for the rules, Vil understands he is still beautiful even though he still lost the performance, Azul is letting the contracts go etc and the evil that inspired them to do that in the first place is getting onto Grim especially after Grim's outburst( that's why I feel like after every black stone he eats, the more evil/crazy and monstrous he becomes, rather than power because it seems as if he already had the power in the first place but he just needed the feral part that makes him a "monster"). Plus, he even said that he didn't feel anything after eating them. If it had something to do with Power,.he would have felt more powerful, but maybe instead, it was evil since that is more of a mindset thing.

After that day, you frequented the Shroud brothers in their shared room. Oftentimes, Ortho would sneak out unnoticed, and leave the two of you alone. You and Idia geeked out about loads of things. But it wasn't long before something else had stewed in the school, and you were dragged elsewhere.

"What did you want to talk about?" The floating tablet asked.

"I'm being forced as the manager for the boys in the VDC, so I won't be able to hang out for the next month or so." You explained, your sadness evident.

"What? But we haven't even got through season 6 of 'I'm An Old Lady but my Husband is a Hot Vampire!' Or gotten through the boss rush in-"

"I know, I know," you whined "But it's only for like a month or so," you tried to rationalize it, but you sighed say it out loud.

"Normies have to do normie things, It's whatever..." He said as he abruptly hung up. He knew this was coming. You were social, and he wasn't. You have shared interests, sure, but you lived two completely separate lives. You came from another world for the seven's sake.

He got up from his chair at his desk and flopped on to his bed. He pulled up his tablets receiver and called it back so he'd have something to do. He'd always been alone, this wasn't anything new.

He didn't want to admit he'd grown attached to you.

Idia was in trouble. Two weeks had passed since the last conversation you had. His grades were slacking, his mood was lacking, and most importantly, he could barely focus on staying at the top of the leaderboard in every game he played.

"This is the worst..." He mumbled as he logged off his computer. Usually he could handle trash talking, making up for it with his skills. But lately he'd been all bark and no bite.

He didn't want to leave his room, but worse than usual. He didn't want to play games anymore. He didn't want to do anything. He only wanted...

He knew what, and why, but he'd be dammed if he admit it.

'At least, out loud...I won't say I...-'

His thought was interrupted by Ortho coming back from his usual social hour around the school.

Chicago Things I’ve Experienced that give TWST boy energy

Cw// uh shit you find in urban cities, swearing, chaotic behavior, light bullying of my hometown and also the boys

Riddle: I went to the library when I was like 12 and a lady yelled at me about my jacket that had a lyric on the back (I did not know her. She went on a rant about keeping my image clean and not doing free advertising for people I don’t know. Very strange I cried afterward)

Ace: saw a guy wearing the different patterns. One was neon tie dye, one was checkered pattern, and the other was like a gradient background with palm leaf pattern on it. He was also wearing socks with sandals and really stupid sunglasses

Deuce: going to the museum of science and industry into the cloning exhibit and having to listen to 20 small children ask where the chicks (baby chickens) come from (cloning)

Cater: walking down the street and running into some asshole taking pictures of the building in the middle of the fucking sidewalk.

Trey: the roughly 10 million donut shops in Chicagoland area that all claim to be the best. The best is dorite donuts or firecakes but every mom and pop place thinks they have the corner market on overly sweet fried dough

Leona: the bus driver that looks like he’s slept 3 hours in the past week and has definitely run over someone glaring at me while I try and pay for my ride

Ruggie: ex coworker of mine being given popcorn by a guest (“They said they didn’t want it”) and proceeding to eat it. I suspect this popcorn was dropped on the ground and that’s why they didn’t want it but it remains a mystery to this day

Jack: saw two people get off of the bike path to bike on the highway. This is very illegal and very dangerous, please do not do that.

Azul: mafia tours. Chicago literally has so much mafia history that we take tourists on TOURS of the city to go see old crime spots.

Jade: me telling everyone not to swim in the lake and being ignored until I tell them about lampreys in the lake, then people want to listen.

Floyd: Floyd is literally so Chicago vibes I don’t know if I can narrow it down. I’m gonna say riot fest being banned from a park because of property damage but in reality it’s just the whole city he would love it here

Kalim: Lincoln park zoo. Just like as a whole

Jamil: calling it “the bean” because fuck Anish Kapoor :)

Vil: the Magnificent Mile that is decently impressive and actually 1.3 miles. He would love the overpriced food and clothes

Rook: that time the archerfish at the Shedd aquarium spat on me not once, not twice, but four times. Stop hunting me you fucking fish that’s so fucking rude I am not a BUG.

Epel: the cow tunnels going through the city and also the fact that we just built roads on top of each other since we’re slowly sinking into the swamp we’re built on

Idia: Chicago formerly being the candy capital of the world long, long ago. We actually still have a lot of candy places here and Idia would probably adore getting a 15 pound bag of sour patch kids :)

Ortho: the fact that Greek town smells like chocolate half the time. This is because of the chocolate factory, Blommers, that is still in town and in production! Ortho would enjoy simply knowing it smells nice

Malleus: malleus is making friends with every gargoyle in town, except for Defiance and Prowl in front of the art institute, which are not gargoyles and he will be informing everyone who has that misconception about it.

Lilia: the guy that tried to cross Lake Michigan in a giant red hamster ball. Twice. He was retrieved unharmed both times

Sebek: the chance the snapper incident many moons ago

Silver: the people who sleep on public transport. I’m terrified of them how do you know when to wake up?? How do you know when to get off the bus??

SOME CONTEXT ABOUT THIS EVENT REWRITE;

—Ashi cross dresses and shoots for Eliza right before the final group enters to try and woo her over (cuz she sees all the guys fail and she’s like “yyyeah. watch me pull this ghost lady better than y’all)

—she succeeds actually!!! she woos Eliza over w her W rizz and allows Idia to escape

—Her and Ace previously fool around w the ghost ring; causing a real and fake to get mixed up

—so guess what. she accidentally uses a fake ring instead of the one actually needed 😔 banishing no more

—NOW ASHI’S TRAPPED AND BOUND TO MARRY ELIZA!!!!!! (and Ace is left to blame)

ASHI, ACE, AND THE MARRAIGE VOWS OF DOOM!!! (1.8k details)

Ashi isn’t sure how Ace acquired it (although it most likely came from a visit with Sam) but the grin on his face melts away her concern and leaves a giddy mischief in its place.

“Doesn’t it look just like that ring the Headmage wants to use to send that bride back to her realm?” Ace laughs, twirling it around the tip of his finger, “Can you imagine what would happen if someone were to switch out the rings?”

“Ace, c’mon!” Ashi shakes her head, giggling along with him.

His grin turns wicked, and before Ashi knows it he’s snatched the real ring right out of her pocket. She shrieks for him to give it back, hurling vicious insults such as “meanie” and “stupid,” but Ace doesn’t relent.

“Where is the real ring? I bet you’ll never guess.” he smirks, holding out his closed hands.

His eyebrows are doing that irritating thing he does when he’s feeling a bit too smug.

“You’re a cheater! I bet it’s in your pocket.” Ashi lunges for him, digging her hand into his pocket as Ace jerks away, trying to get her off.

Sure enough, she pulls out the ring with a triumphant “ah ha!” Ace rolls his eyes and makes a big show of huffing about it, but his eyes linger on her radiant smile as she sticks her tongue out at him.

“It’s not like you play fair either, you goober!” he cackles, jerking his arm out to snatch the ring from her hands.

As their hands collide, both rings go soaring through the air and clatter to the floor. Ashi and Ace look over in the direction they landed, only to come to the sinking revelation that neither of them knew which one was which.

“Can you tell which one’s the fake?” Ashi asks, tilting her head.

Ace removes himself from her to confidently saunter over to the rings, scooping them off the ground and flashing them with a smirk.

“Don’t worry goober, I got it. You almost messed things up there, huh? This is totally the fake one.” Ace mocks, flicking Ashi’s nose when he’s made his way back to her and places the real ring in her hand.

“Oh quiet you!” she pinches his cheek, face heating up at the teasing.

Ace rubs his pink cheek and glares, but the glare holds no malice.

Ashi watches in amusement as Idia is thrown to the side, totally blown off by Eliza. Ashi kneels before the bride, arms outstretched as if to accept her. Eliza squeals, rushing towards her “groom” with stars in her eyes. Ashi takes her hand, gently, and gives Eliza the most affectionate look she can.

“It’s an honor to be wed to you, my lady.” Ashi grins, a dazzling smile that makes Eliza swoon in her arms.

The ring slides onto her finger, and...

Nothing happens.

Ashi looks confused but quickly schools her face. Eliza doesn't notice the way her smile falls, and instead swoops Ashi up into her arms and calls for her attendants.

“Please, escort Mr. Tamadai to the dressing rooms! I await our wedding, my darling!” Eliza giggles behind her hand, waving Ashi goodbye.

Footsteps pound on the stone flooring outside the room and Ashi looks at the door with hope. The door flies open with a loud bang, causing all the ghosts to jump out of their nonexistent skin.

Heh.

“Stop the wedding!” Ace yells, pointing an accusatory finger at Eliza, “You! Bride lady! We gotta talk!”

Eliza scoffs, all warmth in her deposition gone as Ace storms up to her with fire in his eyes. Ashi tries to go to him, but the ghosts are keeping such a harsh grip on her arms that it’s starting to hurt.

“Ace!” she yells, and he whips his head around at the sound of her voice.

He turns back to the bride with a clenched jaw and a furrowed brow.

“Listen here, all of you! You can’t just force someone to marry you! Relationships don’t work like that! Ashi doesn’t want to marry you at all! Aren’t the rest of you ashamed? You’re just enabling your princess into feeling even lonelier as the years go on because you’re not letting her let go! You all sound like useless retainers to me!” Ace yells, “Let go of Ashi right now!  I’m gonna get this ring on your finger and send you off once and for all!”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about! Mr. Tamadai was quite sweet in his courting! He even answered all my questions correctly! He's perfect!” Eliza insists, voice breaking as she speaks.

“Uh, news flash princess!” Ace snaps, “You shouldn’t be picking your prince based on a few questions. How about picking someone you can laugh and cry with? Someone you can share everything with?”

He looks over at Ashi and pauses.

“Someone that makes you feel like you can be something. Even if you know you’re a stupid troublemaker.” he says, voice softer for just a moment before he turns back to the princess, “Have your retainers taught you nothing? It’s embarrassing that I have to spell this out for you, seriously!”

Ashi squirms in the ghost's hold, her cheery smile fading into a frustrated grimace. The rare sight makes Ace’s breath hitch, and his anger only gets more intense.

“Don’t listen to him, princess!” Puffy yells, taking his place next to Eliza, “How dare you say such things! I would fight the world to make sure the princess is happy, you—!”

Ashi gnaws at her lower lip before slipping one of Ace’s stupid cards out of her pocket. Sliding it between her two fingers just like he taught her, she flicks it at Eliza.

The card reaches its mark.

The ghosts restraining her rush to their princess as she yelps out in pain and Ashi beams. It's funny how Ace’s tricks were useful in situations like this, even though all he ever used them for was to target Riddle.

“Princess!” she yells, running towards her, “Wait!”

Eliza shakes off her hovering attendants to gaze upon her groom, a sour pout on her face.

“Listening, I’m not actually a guy. I was dressing the part because my and my homies were trying to save Idia over there.” she points to the boy in question, watching as he shrivels up again at the attention, “But I think you should totally marry Puffy! He seems to really care about ya! And just like Acey said, you’re supposed to find someone you can laugh and cry with right? He was about to fight this whole room for you!”

Eliza stops as if considering what Ashi just said. Ace’s hand circles her wrist, as if ready to run and find cover if the ghosts actually do attack. His subtle concern warms her heart.

“Oh Puffy...I think I’ve finally figured it out.” Eliza turns to her ghostly companion and smiles, eyes full of love, “You’re my prince! My true love!”

“What?!” Ace squawks, but Ashi presses a finger to his lips to shush him.

“Princess...all I’ve ever wanted was to see you smile.” Puffy murmurs, cheeks turning blue, “It’s my dream...my lingering attachment...I just want you to be happy.”

“Oh, Puffy!” Eliza swoons, kissing him without a second thought.

“What just happened?” Ace blinks, absolutely baffled by the display in front of him.

“I dunno, but we should get everyone else out!” Ashi beams as the sound of groans and complaints reach their ears, “It sounds like the curse has been broken!”

As Ashi runs off to help a whining Floyd, Ace puffs up his cheeks and stares.

She looks really pretty in that suit.

Now without further ado: Cynthia Widow

Background: Cyn does not talk much about life pre-mirror. She mentions her Grandfather but that is all. Whenever anyone asks she stays vague and switches topics. The only one who knows anything about her past is Lilia and that is That.

Time at Night Raven: She loves being at NRC. Between the great friends, the magic education, and the interesting events that keep happening, she has no desire to find a way to her ‘home’. She has already made a new family with Grim, Grace, the guys at NRC, and the incoming girls now that Crowley has declared the school to be Co-Ed. The constant Overblots are kind of a bother, but they also allow her to get to understand the dark side of the school's most powerful. Things get even more interesting when the “Thatch School for Troubled Mages” join NRC as the new members of Ramshackle. Now with a dorm of 8 troublemakers, she is learning what it takes to be a leader and starts to discover another side of herself, a darker side that fits in with her dormmates and her school.  

Personality: At first glance, Cyn looks like the stereotypical Good Girl: patient, kind, considerate, and funny, but that was a pure mask. The longer she stays at NRC, the more her true colors start to reveal themselves. She is cunning, sly, intelligent, mischievous, and curious. She becomes more herself. Outspoken, stating her opinions, ideas, beliefs, and her new seen darkness matched her peers and scares most. She likes to solve puzzles whether it is people problems or board games. She is determined, headstrong, and organized which makes her a great dorm leader. She is able to deduce the risk of situations and likes to take chances with her dice. There are times she is too scary, mischievous, or cold due to "unfavorables" and that is when she becomes, as Floyd calls it “The Barracuda”. But she is generally a good person, but when someone pushes her too far, she can get… scary… Boogie Man Scary.

Trivia:

She has a weird fondness for spiders. Whenever she sees one, she watches it for a while and only moves it if absolutely necessary (i.e. someone will kill it and she isn’t there to stop them)

Lilia calls her Lady Luck since things always seem to work out in her favor, in luck games at least (This started when she won three games of Yahtzee in a row).

Idia thought she was actually the boogie madam from his nightmares since the first time they met it was dark and in one of her "moods".

She loves to analyze movies and books. She has notebooks full of notes, connections, and theories from all different kinds of media. She loves Claymation and animation in particular as she appreciates the artwork that goes into creating feature-length films.

Her study playlist is full of movie soundtracks and, if asked, she can tell you exactly what’s going on in the movie at any point in any song. (Carter likes to quiz her, and the only time she lost was on a movie she had yet to see)

Her Mom glare and scheming smile are her scariest faces according to the majority of the school, she is second only to the Leech Twins.

Her prized position is a necklace with a spider pendant made from amethyst and silver. It is the only thing she has from her world and she refuses to take it off.

Floyd called her Shrimpy when they first met, but after he saw her ‘other side’ when they scammed her friends, he quickly change her nickname to “Barracuda”
