The walk to "the beach" this chishiya guy is taking me is.. Not so awkward nor tense, just a chill walk. He really gives off this mysterious and smart vibe yk? It's quite intriguing.

For after a long walk we finally made to a bridge and across the bridge there I saw a big.. Hotel? But the signs were crossed though. It's says "The beach Utopia" what an odd choice of name though.

And I guess he really isn't lying about the electricity and full of people part. Once we got inside I was greeted the smell of alcohol and the smell of sex in the air that made my nose scrunched up in disgust, blaring music and giggles and screams of people partying in the pool. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦.

Walking through the crowds eyes of the people inside were stuck on me and chishiya. What's their deal? Why are they looking at me like I'm some kind of an alien. Feeling annoyed with their eyes, i glared to whoever I made I contact with.

" why are they looking at me like that. " I asked the man in front of me, chishiya.

"Probably because it's the first time I bring someone here. " he answered with his signature smirk. Seriously does this man can only make one expression?

I just nodded in acknowledgement as we continue on making our way to the head of this utopia.

Finally with all the walking we stopped into a big door with two Simingly guards in the side.

" you might wanna take a deep breath and lengthen your patience for this one. " he warns which made me quirk a brow at him. Is the boss here is that bad to make me loose my patience? Huh guess we'll see later, don't wanna misjudge a person again.

I chuckled on my thoughts as we opened the door and invite ourselves in.

I spoke to soon. Once we got inside I see this funky lookin man with a to bathrobe hanging loosely in his shoulders exposing his bare chest. And just wearing a.. Short..

He was freely. Making. Out. With. Two. Womens.

I had to hold myself back from throwing up here and there at the sight in front of me. I glanced at chishiay beside me, he also have the same reaction as mine but less visible?

Once this funky ol' man is done with his.. Session, finally. He greeted us with a warm smile which I find it odd and also walked over at us with his arms open. What the fuck is this guy doing?

I glared at him which he backs away, thankfully.

" why hello there my beloved executive, who's the lovely girl you bring here on our warm Utopia? In fact, it's the first time you bring someone here so I'm guessing she's worth it. " the "boss" chuckled.

" but first let's take a seat shall we? " he gestured at the sofa behind us. No I am not sitting there after knowing he probably make out with some girls in that. Chishiya, to, stayed in his position also having the same idea as mine.

I stared at the man who still had his hand behind him, pointing to the sofa.

" no? Don't feel like sitting? Ok then. " he chuckled.

" so what's your name dear? " he asked.

" L/N Y/N. " I replied shortly.

" well Y/N, it's very nice to meet you. As you may know chishiya here, never really bring someone here with him, so, I would like to know the reason what did you do to change the mind of our little chishiya here, hmm? " he smirked as he leaned closer to eye me up and down before looking at chishiya's direction. I literally smell the strong smell of alcohol in his breath and I almost lost myself there. He's disgusting.

I scrunched up my nose as I back away, glaring at him. I should've bring my pack of face mask before going here.

" she seems interesting, back at the game where I met her, she figured out the little twist on the game. Oh and the difficulty of the game was 8 of hearts plus, she remained calm in the entire game. Honestly, if it weren't for her I would've actually fall for the trick. " chishiya chuckled. Isn't he over-complimenting me right now?

" who knows, she might be a better player then I, she might even have played most of the cards we still haven't gotten. " chishiya added with a confident smirk. Why is he more confident then I am?

I glanced back at Hatter, he seems to be Intruiged at his "story" he hummed for a few moment before turning to me.

" if it's alright Y/N, may I see your cards? " I quirk a brow at him. What cards?

" you know the cards that you get after you played the game? " oh.

I slid my hands on my baggy cargo pants finishing out the cards I got.

" I'm not here that long, so, I don't have much. " I nonchalantly stated which Hatter nodded in response. I handed him the cards which he gladly took it.

Once he got the cards examining it careful, his eyes slowly widening. This also perks the blondes attention.

" my.. I guess you are right about her having good cards chishiya. " Hatter chuckled as he handed the cards to chishiya to see. Chishiya took the cards and examine it his eyes slowly widens.

" 7 of spades, 6 of diamonds, 8 of hearts, 2 of clubs, 5 of hearts, 6 of hearts. " chishiya began to list out the cards.

" this is.. Really impressive. " chishiya muttered in surprised as he hands them back to Hatter.

Hatter took the cards back as he pocket them in his short.

" well L/N Y/N, before we give you the warm welcome of the beach. I'll explain you what you must and mustn't do in this utopia. It's quite simple actually. " Hatter smirks as he started to walk back and forth while explaining. I crossed my arms on my chest as I quirk a brow at him.

" ok first, RULE NUMBER ONE, you must wear bath suit, bikini perhaps. " what.

" RULE NUMBER TWO, you can do 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 you want in the utopia, and by what I mean 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. Sexs, drugs, are permitted, get high is smokes AND get drunk however you like. " Hatter smiled. I grimaced at the thought of it. No way in hell i'd enjoy those.

" And last but not least, " his smile vanished and turned into a serious look. " Death to all traitors. " I stared at him for a moment before nodding. I don't really care to be honest, I mean, what else I'm about to rebel here? Well unless if this utopia thing gets really stupid.

" for you to stay alive and stay here, you must give me the card whenever you play games. " he explained. I quirk a brow at him before shifting my weight to the left side of my leg.

" why exactly I have to give you my cards? "

( too lazy to explain all of it. )

Hatter gave me a little smirk before starting to explain me on why I should retrieve the cards I could get in my games. He also show me a board with cards in print on it. Some were crossed to. Honestly, his little plan was stupid and ridiculous. It's unbelievable that people believed this without him having a proof to show them that that's the actual way for us to get out of here. Well I guess that's how a desperate person works.

I sighed before nodding and asking him if I could leave. He gave me one of his bubbly smile which I find it quite annoying.

" sure you may, but before all that, since you got some good cards and serious skills, I'm putting you next to chishiya's number. " the both man smirked.

" well L/N Y/N, welcome to the beach, no. 008. " Hatter smiled before giving me a bracelet with a tag on it.

I accepted the bracelet and wrapped it on my wrist before leaving the room with chishiya behind me.

Once were out of the room, I let out a deep sigh, relieved that I'm out of that room, away from that disgusting mans presence.

" so what do you think? " chishiya suddenly asked. I glanced at him for a second before groaning.

" he's annoying and I cannot stand another mere second in his presence. God. " I groaned which I earned a chuckle from the man beside me.

" we're in the same boat. Follow me, I'll show you your dorm. " I only hummed in response as I let him guide me to my suppose dorm.

Once we got there chishiya told em to pick any swim suit or bikini I want in the wardrobe and also adding a a little insult of that rule which I of course insulted it, telling him that it was ridiculous and nonsense which he agreed. He also told me after I'm done with everything he told me to meet him on the rooftop and I agreed. Chishiya and I bid goodbye before closing my door and went to the wardrobe and looked whats in it to wear..

When I laid eyes on them.. I felt myself glaring at them. All of them.. Were 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩. Well actually not all, I found a bikini that is comfortable enough for me to wear. It was a black bikini that isn't that much revealing. Like the panty was big enough to cover my whole ass, oh just to share this information. My ass is actually not that big nor small. And the bra is kinda like a sport bra. I'm honestly really glad there's at least good bikinis here.

I took a bath first before changing into my bikini, once I'm all done. It's time to meet chishiya.

what was your dave hc for that davekat comic? just curious

okay so. two things. first of all a content warning for discussing homophobia and child abuse (i mention child sexual abuse but don’t go into detail). second of all, i read homestuck for the first time last month and i’ve never read any analysis of dave’s character, so i have no idea of what the general opinion is!

this is insanely long so it’s all under the cut, sorry if you didn’t expect this wall of text anon

i think it's pretty much explicitly canon that dave has a complicated relationship with his attraction to men, both because of internalised homophobia and because of the abuse he suffered as a child from his bro. as someone who didn’t pay much attention to dave until later pages, i want to say that his first meeting with dirk was the only moment in all homestuck that made me cry and left me with my heart stinging. i had to stop reading for a while

my comic was the result of days of thinking of how dave is a deeply repressed and traumatised boy who left earth thinking being gay is a joke, only to fall for another boy whose entire species is bisexual by default. i like to interpret dave as someone who is simultaneously uncomfortable with and yearning for intimacy – he is kinda okay with having a partner, with casually making out, but he freaks out the moment he has to talk about his feelings or take things a step further. the fact that he (as davesprite) suddenly breaks up with jade, unable to put his feelings into words for a proper explanation; the way he (pre-retcon) describes his relationship with terezi on the meteor as “a thing” and refuses to talk to karkat (or anyone) about it; the whole goddamn conversation between him and karkat and john in the final arc… this poor kid has gone through a lot

a lot of the abuse he’s suffered because of his bro is very explicit, like being denied privacy, but a lot of it is also left implied. he’s weirdly fixated on dirk being gay, not only because he wants to know how he came out, but also because learning about it made him have a realization about his bro that he refuses to even bring up in the conversation. the first though i had was that he went through some kind of sexual abuse, not necessarily involving physical touch (though it could be) but strong enough to damage his perception towards his own body. even for a headcanon in which that doesn’t happen, dave says his bro never truly loved him, and i can imagine him having never received any kind of genuine physical affection

we also have to take into account that dave’s last sight of earth was 2009’s earth. we’re in 2023 as i’m writing this and men all over the world still have a complicated relationship with affection and feelings, especially straight men towards other men. dave grew up in a time in which gay marriage wasn’t legal in the united states, in which a lot of feminist ideas were outright discarded as crazy, and he never had to question lgbt issues because all of his crushes before karkat were girls. so he left earth being not exactly homophobic but finding jokes about gay people funny, and then he was forced to live with aliens that don’t understand heteronormativity because they quite literally don’t care about gender. and on top of that, the only other human in the meteor who happens to be his sister is suddenly a lesbian, and he feels like he’s the only one who can’t come to terms with his own sexuality

as much as it’s tempting to think that dave and rose had some conversations about the topic on the meteor, to me it is much more interesting to think that they haven’t. rose is another can of worms, and i personally love that the way she sorted her feelings out is 100% up to interpretation (i have dozens of explicitly repressed lesbians to read about in other media) – however, in every possible scenario i imagine dave dying to ask her personal questions, but ultimately deciding against it because it would put him in a vulnerable position. he isn't alone, but he's been taught to believe he is

so, finally coming back to how i envisioned my davekat comic: they have made out more than once but they have never talked about how they feel about it. karkat is afraid to death of hurting dave because he apparently can’t stop hurting his loved ones! but he guesses that at this point they are both on the same page and they should take it a step further and maybe dave just needs someone else to silently take the initiative? which isn't entirely wrong (they are horny teenagers physically craving for touch), but the sudden skin-to-skin contact is too much for dave, who isn’t mentally prepared for this. and he won’t be prepared until he talks about it, but he will eventually. because he will learn that he isn't alone and he will never be

honestly, out of all things i didn’t expect when i read homestuck, the last one was a well written teenager coming to terms with the fact that he’s bisexual. i really don’t want to hear any debate about this topic, because i was genuinely touched by how human dave’s development felt and that’s the emotion i want to remember. i too have been a lgbt teenager with no words to describe my experiences, afraid of coming out to my friends, and it was very nice to read that two of the four main protagonists of homestuck are explicitly lgbt. sorry if the wording isn’t the most pleasing, i know that literally almost every homestuck character is explicitly lgbt (you could argue that all kids are), but i guess that rose and dave being *inarguably* lgbt while being so important to the story makes my heart warm. we don’t usually get stories like this that get so insanely popular. also, i hope this hasn’t come across as me reducing dave to his insecurities and sexuality, it was after all a reply to a specific question!!

When he asked what you could do, he was surprised of how strong you were compared to the humans that he knew. He knew that he could bring you on small missions and he did eventually give you bigger and bigger missions so you can grow and learn.

When he started to feel emotions for you that he did not know previously, he was conflicted on himself of what it was. He had never fallen in love before due to him being a prime. But a human managing to break that was surprising for him

It honestly took him a while for him to muster to courage to say something about it. He tried to go the most professional way about but nonetheless, it sounded funny hearing it from such a serious guy

Ratchet ➵

When he first meet you, he honestly thought of you as something small to take care of and just be in the way. But when he learned different, he felt like he could relay on you to protect the kids from getting them self's in trouble.

He knew that he could trust you when you told him what you could do. He placed his full trust in you to protect the kids when ratchet has to go on missions while the others are busy

As much as a grumpy mech that he is, he can still get attachments and surprisely, he fell in love with you. He was in Major denial that he could be in love with a human. He honestly scoffed at himself for it.

But it wasn't long until he noticed that he was a hopeless mess and gave in the fact that he was in love and was also grumpy about it. He was coming into terms about it very slowly

Arcee➥

Arcee had neutral feelings on the matter of a high respected being on the team. It was basically a second opinion when fowler was in a grumpy mood. So for her, it was a win win

When she learned what you could do, she was surprised just as was everyone else. She knew that you could help Jack when she wasn't there and make sure that he was doing the stuff that he was supposed to do.

Arcee wasn't surprised with herself when she started to notice her feelings for you. She was used to this feeling but felt regret due to her past partners. But nonetheless she still loved you for who you are

Wheeljack ➵

When he visits the Autobots and sees you and fowler, of course, he is gonna try to become a flirt. And when this doesn't work, he trys even harder. But fails due to your mindset being hard as stone

when he finds out what you can do, he is baffled. Flabbergasted even. A human that is basically captain America but in reality? He finds it awesome that you could do all those cool stuff

Of course, when he finds himself falling for you, he isn't surprised as well. I mean he basically tried to get you within the first day of meeting you so it would make sense that he would fall for you.

Bulkhead ➥

When he first meets you, he treats you like how he treats fowler, with the most up highest respect. As he knows that your most likely respected already by people.

When he figures out why, he is not surprised. Why else would agent fowler bring someone to big robots? Just to have a tea Party? Yeah no so when he finds out, he blames himself for thinking that it was for something different.

Ultra Magnus ➥

Much like Optimus and bulkhead, he treats you with high respect. Fowler wouldn't bring some lousy person in a base filled with alien robots from a different planet.

When he figures out what you do, he is honestly fantasized by it. But of course he won't tell. He thinks it's lucky for a human to be talented as much as you are.

When he finds himself falling for you. He is a total wreck. He can't believe that he feel for such a talented human especially as much as he as already fallen for you

One of Farrukh's many partners.

He's having a love affair with a priest. Farrukh calls him "Father" because he thinks it's funny. His name is Abraham and he's a well spoken middle aged man who's internalized homophobia has always been like a noose around his neck. He keeps a journal where he expresses his negative emotions and sinful thoughts, and he never lets anyone take a look at his journal as he's ashamed of most of the things he writes in there. He isn't harsh towards other queer people and doesn't condemn them (he has queer friends and family), he only punishes himself for being a homosexual and isn't out to anyone except five people. He's also a bit awkward and neglects his health from time to time. He also has a terrible sleep schedule. He doesn't joke around much but so he catches people off guard when he does.

He tries to be kind to everyone, rarely gets overtly angry and has enough self awareness to not express his questionable beliefs. He justifies dating Farrukh as not being homosexual as Farrukh isn't a "real man" (im not gay, my boyfriend has a fat pussy ☝️🤓) but he feels guilty and disgusted over thinking this. He loves Farrukh deeply but is too scared to express his love publicly and avoids him at times.

He does recognize his flaws and tries to be better for his community and for Farrukh. Yet a lifetime of indoctrination cannot be completely undone. Farrukh occasionally stalks him from afar and tries to get his attention at the church because he doesn't get to spend as much time with Abraham as he wants. He usually meets Abraham at night and they both kiss and hold hands and don't do anything NSFW ever I swear! Farrukh sometimes slips gifts into his bag like a cat bringing in objects for you it finds outside. His church is also filled with queer nuns although they suspect the other to be homophobic so the tensions are high 😭😭. Alot of them became chose this life to avoid being pressured or forced into being married (same reason for Abraham)

The only other person who knew much of their affair was Fatima (the short messy haired person with the mustard colored shirt). Fatima is a good ol atheist and debates Abraham's beliefs every now and then. Xe wants to help him live a life not dictated by religion (xe is especially keen on helping him because xe has also grown up experiencing religious trauma). Xe also enjoys his company and discussing film, music and poetry with him (Fatima is a nerd). Fatima also confides in him after xyr breakup with Farrukh.

He has a younger sister named Naomi (13 years younger 💀) who is openly a lesbian who was in the closet herself for a long time but came out to the family one Christmas and got disowned 💀💀. Abraham is supportive of her and doesn't want her to feel the shame he feels. They don't talk much, they never really had a strong bond to begin with but they check on each other when they get the time.

They both hate their parents because they recognize how they've been traumatized by them. I'm also reading and watching videos on queer people's experiences with Christianity (religious trauma) and how parents play such a big part in the alienation of their queer children. Honestly I'm doing way too much research for a dumbass oc but it's so fun.

A way too long analysis/rant/review of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I watched Rocky Horror Picture Show a few days ago and then proceeded to watch it twice more in the following days. And I have very strong feelings about it. Those feelings are almost exclusively positive, so don't worry.

This is gonna be mostly just me rambling, so maybe not the most interesting thing to read, but I had a lot of fun writing it.

Kind of a content warning before I actually start talking about it, this post will be talking about things like homophobia, transphobia and dubious sexual consent, and include swear words and (reclaimed) slurs. So if any of that bothers you, proceed with caution.

Also I'm gonna spoil the whole movie but honestly the plot isn't as important as some other things in this movie so you should watch it anyways.

I will only be talking about the 1975 movie in this post since I haven't seen the play.

For those who either don't remember or know the plot, the film centers around four people. We're first introduced to a young couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss who get engaged in the very beginning.

To celebrate their engagement they decide to go visit their former teacher, Dr. Scott, who taught the class they met in. However on the way there, they get lost and a tire in their car breaks. The only building nearby is a creepy-looking castle. In the castle Brad and Janet meet the owner of the castle, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, who is a self-described "Sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania". Frank tells the couple that he's been trying to make a man (like Frankenstein) and thinks that he has finally succeeded. Frank brings a man named Rocky, who is very hot but very stupid, to life, and seemingly marries him.

In the castle there are four more important characters: Riff Raff the butler, Magenta the domestic, Columbia who just kind of hangs around, and Columbia's boyfriend/Frank's implied ex-boyfriend Eddie. Soon after Eddie's entrance Frank kills him, "out of mercy". This will be relevant in a bit.

Janet and Brad are brought to their seperate bedrooms and soon after that Frank sneaks into Janet's room and tries to have sex with her. After some resistance she agrees to it. Soon after Frank does the exact same thing to Brad. Janet finds out about this and has sex with Rocky while Magenta and Columbia watch and have sex with each other. Aforementioned Dr. Scott comes to the castle to ask about Eddie, and it turns out that Eddie was his nephew. At this point it turns out that Frank, Riff Raff and Magenta are aliens from the galaxy of Transylvania from the planet Transsexual. A fight breaks out and Frank turns Brad, Janet, Rocky, Columbia and Dr. Scott into statues. He then moves the statues to a theater stage in his castle and dresses them up in corsets and heels. The statues are turned back into humans and perform a song and a dance.

Also they imply that Dr. Scott is a nazi who moved to America after WWII so that's interesting.

After the performance Riff Raff and Magenta enter the room, kill Frank, Rocky and Columbia and leave back to Transsexual. Brad, Janet and Dr. Scott leave the castle and I'm assuming, head home.

Yes, that is the actual plot. Wasn't that fun?

Now we can get to actually talking about this weird-ass movie.

To me the most important thing about this movie was its unapologetic queerness. Recetly there has been a decenty chunk of movies and TV shows with queer characters and themes, but none of them have really worked for me perfectly for a few reasons. These shows and movies usually either:

a) Center around the fact that the characters are queer and are almost exclusively coming out stories

b) Have queer (usually side) characters who don't really "look or act queer"

I'm not saying that either of those are bad things, but I personally find them boring and can't relate to them. I just kind of always knew I was queer and didn't have that closeted gay teenager phase that the first types of movies are usually about. These movies often also center around relationships and I didn't date at that age. The second type of movies and TV shows don't really work for me either because I do look and act queer and it's a big part of my life. So seeing a character to whom being gay doesn't really matter that much or affect them as a person, isn't very relatable to me either.

Also most of the time gay characters in shows and movies are just boring. They're either evil faggots or cute flower boys who could do nothing wrong. But because Rocky Horror Picture Show isn't really a movie about queer people, all the characters just are very queer, they have the same amount (or even more) depth as straight characters would have in a similar "regular" movie. But a straight movie with the plot of Rocky Horror simply wouldn't work. Sure, the plot would make about as much sense (which is not a lot) but the movie would lose it's meaning. If you removed all the crossdressing, gay sex and queer symbolism from Rocky Horror, it would just be a weird musical Frankenstein adaptation with aliens, cheating women and occasional incest. Doesn't really sound like a movie I would personally love.

Without it's queerness, the movie would not have the cult following it has today. Fans don't watch the movie for the plot, they watch it for representation, hot men in corsets and heels and women finding confidence in embracing their sexuality. The movie is watched because it has been giving people something they don't really get anywhere else, especially around the time the movie came out.

At this point I would love to talk about the songs. Everything from their lyrics to symbolism to just how I personally like them. The movie has around 15 songs but it's hard to say what the exact number is, since some of the songs are so short they barely count as songs, at least one song was deleted from the final product, and at some points it's unclear if it's several songs right after each other or one very long song. But I will talk about these songs in this order in this post:

So this is the first song of movie. It is technically unrelated to all of the plot and kind of just sets the vibe for the movie while also referencing many Sci-Fi movies as a kind of tribute to them. Rocky Horror is after some kind of parody of Sci-Fi and horror movies. The video during this song is just red lips sin ging. Funny enough, the lips shown belong to Patricia Quinn (actress of Magenta) but the voice belongs to Richard O'Brien (the creator of the movie and actor of Riff Raff). Kind of a fun detail if you ask me.

During the song the credits are shown and that is really what this song is for. I personally don't care for it that much, especially since I'm not just a huge Sci-Fi fan but it's a nice song that actually makes me want to not skip the credits.

Dammit Janet

Dammit Janet is the first song sung by actual characters. The song is in the very first scene and during it Brad proposes to Janet. It's a pretty cute love song, the lyrics themselves aren't too special in my opinion. But there are a few fun details in this song.

First there's kind of foreshadowing of the fact that Brad's and Janet's relationship is going to fail. Before Brad sings "The road was long but I ran it", Janet tries to kiss him but he leans away. If that was me and my girlfriend, soon to be fiancée, tried to kiss me when I was singing, I would absolutely stop for a few seconds to kiss her. Especially since he leaned away at the last second. Kissing her wouldn't have taken any time from his song. Later when Brad gives her the ring, Janet seems to care about how pretty the ring is way more than the fact that she's going to marry her boyfriend. This is a fairly common trope but still. She also says "Now we're engaged and I'm so glad that you've met Mom and you know Dad". She isn't glad that they're engaged, she is glad that Brad has met her parents.

Also the whole songs takes in place at a graveyard adn in a church preparing for a funeral service, yet they seem unaware of that. Something something ignoring the bad signs about this relationship.

ALSO in this scene you can see people from the castle. Literally what are Riff Raff, Magenta, Columbia (?) and Frank doing there?? (Also it took me too long to realize that one of them was Frank 'cause he's not wearing any make up.) But like did they plan all of this? And if they did, why?? Is there something special about Brad and Janet? Were they just trying to find random people to trick to coming into their castle?

Over at the Frankenstein Place

I sadly don't have much to say about this song. It's honestly just a bit boring to me. It doesn't really move the plot forward or anything. Though they sing about how there's a light in everyone's life and they can seen a light in the castle. Maybe they will find the light (hope) in their life from the castle. Arriving there does change their lives drastically for the better or for worse depending on how you look at it.

The Time Warp

Honestly when I heard this song, is when I was sure I was gonna like the movie. This kind of fast tempo rock is very much up my alley, especially when the lyrics are abou ignoring time and enjoying life in the present. I have always been deeply afraid of the passage of time and forgetting about it, even for a while, is always great. Also during this song we get to see Frank's Transylvanian guests. I honestly love how they look.

We also learn a little bit of Columbia's backstory. It seems that unlike Frank, Riff Raff and Columbia, she is a human. Columbia's line also implies that Frank owns a pick-up truck which is very funny to me.

The song doesn't contribute much to the plot but it's a fun jam and also taught me a cool dance (Which based on Mgenta's line later in the movie is like a common dance on Transsexual.)

Sweet Transvestite

Frank's introduction song! I love him.

Sure transvestite is technically a slur for crossdressers (is that a slur? I honestly don't know dude) but sometimes things just are like that. Also he can call himself whatever the fuck he wants. Like damn, maybe I'm a sweet transvestite too, who knows.

I'm sure many people know this already but it's pretty funny that when when you hear him say "From Transsexual, Transylvania" you would assume that he's just calling Transylvania (on Earth) transsexual for some reason. But he's just saying that he's from the planet Transsexual from the galaxy Transylvania.

Also yes, transsexual is also a slur but it fucks so I'm using it.

The Sword of Damocles

Sadly this song isn't on the official soundtrack. It's honesly great. Rocky is a silly little guy and I like hearing him sing. Funnily enough all of his songs are dubbed and that is not the actor's voice.

Rocky literally just gets born and immediately starts singing about how his life's gonna suck.

It seems like he's afraid of Frank for some reason. Maybe it's just 'cause he's a weirdo, but it could also be because Rocky has half of Eddie's brain. Maybe he like subconsciously remembers Frank literally cutting his head open.

I Can Make You a Man

When I see the title written out like that I just hear the line from Lola in my head. It's not even the exact same line, I am suffering.

This is kind of funny to listen to 'cause Frank says that Rocky weighs 98 pounds and I have literally no idea how much that is. I'm assuming it's not a lot.

Also Frank starts straight up riding the pommel horse. I sadly don't know how to make a GIF but please go watch the video, I'm begging you.

Look at him go. Oh, how I wish that pommel horse right now. Saying pommel horse so many times in a row sounds very weird but I don't know what native speakers actually call it.

Hot Patootie / Bless My Soul

Eddie simply didn't have enough screentime. He's honestly so cool. Sure, one of the news articles says that he like killed a woman or something but shit happens. I am stupid and gay and Eddie is hot so I'm willing to forgive him.

The song, again, doesn't really contribute much to the plot but it slaps. Even the Transylvanians jam out to it.

Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me

This is in my opinion pretty much the perfect song for Janet. Her whole arc in the movie is her breaking free from 70s purity culture. She has sex for the first time and realizes she really enjoys it and now she wants more. Especially the line "Touch-a, touch-a, touch-a, touch me, I want to be dirty". Earlier in the movie she was this very classic cute pure female character from a movie in the 70s and now she finally gets to do what she has probably been told not to do for her entire life.

In this song she also gets her obligatory bisexual moment, fantasizing about everyone in castle, including Magenta and Columbia.

Also someone is finally nice to Rocky :)

Once In a While

So this song was cut from the movie, at least on Disney+, but is still on YouTube and the complete soundtrack on Spotify. I don't know if the video on YouTube is the original scene but that doesn't really matter. The song is also in theatrical releases but again, I have only seen the 1975 movie.

Anyways this is Brad's only solo and it happens after he slept with Frank. It seems like he's reflecting on his and Janet's relationship and feeling quilty and/or sad about sleeping with Frank. (Apparently in theatrical versions he had also found out that Janet cheated on her.)

I don't really want to comment on this song that much because I don't know everything about it, but it does make Brad look more bisexual. In the version that I saw, there wasn't really a lot indicating that Brad was attracted to women. Of course there's Dammit Janet and the fact that they are engaged but I don't know, he just didn't really seem to be that into her. Especially with his verse in Rose Tint My World, which I'll get to in a moment. But yeah, this feels like a more genuine love song to Janet even if he never mentions her name.

Also I find it funny that Frank is just sleeping on the bed right behind him. I like to think he's actually singing this out loud in the quiet dark bedroom.

Eddie

I've also seen this song being called Eddie's Teddy but it's just called Eddie on Spotify so I'm going with that.

This song really just sums up Eddie's short life. This comes a bit out of nowhere but Eddie's cool so it was actually pretty interesting to hear about his life. A very catchy song.

Also Frank implies that he's serving Eddie as their dinner so that's lovely.

Planet Schmanet Janet

Honestly I have no idea what's going on in this song but the line "A mental mind fuck can be nice" kinda slaps. So true bestie.

Planet Hot Dog

This is technically a part of Planet Schmanet Janet but it's listed as it's own song on Spotify.

Characters basically just finally acknowledge the fact that his name is literally Frank-N-Furter. Very funny if you ask me.

Rose Tint My World

My absolute favourite song from this movie. There's just so much going on. This is actually the reason I wanted to make this post.

First of all, all the characters look very hot in the corsets and heels so I definitely enjoyed that. Also they zoom in on Rocky's dick and show Columbia's titties so that is also very lovely.

Let's go over everyone's verse seperately.

First there's Columbia. She sings about how things were great when she first started hanging out with Frank but as soon as he started working on Rocky, things started to go downhill. He started giving all his attention to creating Rocky and stole hald of Columbia's boyfriend's brain. Now Frank has even killed him and Columbia doesn't have much to live for. She ends the verse with "Rose tints my world, keeps me safe from my trouble and pain". I'm assuming she's talking about the expression of wearing rose-tinted glasses aka pretending that everything is better than it actually is. At this point it's all she can do.

Second verse is Rocky's. Rocky sings about how he was born only hours ago and how the only thing he has really been taught is sex. Throughout the movie everyone just takes turns either fucking him or abusing him. And of those two things only one is widely considered to be nice. Because of this the only thing he knows to keep him safe is having sex. He ends his verse with the same line as Columbia. To him it means ignoring everything negative in his life and only paying attention to the thing that has brought him pleasure.

Brad's verse seems to be many people's favourite (that includes me). Out of the four, he seems to be the most afraid at this moment. He has found out things about himself that he did not want to know and could've lived a decent life by ignoring, but now he's forced to face the reality that he's queer. In his verse he shows disbelief that this could be happening to him. He begs for his mom to help him and wake him up from this dream, missing his days of innocence and naïvety. After falling to the floor he still says that he feels sexy, possibly for the first time in his life. To this point he has always been just an average American young man with nothing that "special" about him. Now he's dressed up in corset, fishnets, heels and make up and actually feels beautiful and wanted. He doesn't know what's come over him, since as he has probably been told, queer people are perverts, rapists and murderers and suddenly he is one of them. And he didn't get to have the slow realization and time to reflect that many others have. All of this has happened to him in one night. He doesn't sing the line "Rose tint my world" like Columbia and Rocky but it is implied. He just wants to pretend that none of this happened and everything's fine in his life. Also unlike Columbia and Rocky who just kind of stay in random poses after their verses, Brad covers himself up as seen during Janet's verse. I feel like this comment on YouTube puts it well:

Janet's verse is pretty much the opposite of Brad's. She seems to be the only one to be genuinely thankful to Frank for opening up her world. Frank let her break free from the oppressive society and she feels more confident than ever. She also says that "[Frank's] lust is so sincere" unlike any attraction Brad has shown towards her. She also very much shows off her body in this scene, clearly enjoying the revealing clothes she's finally allowed to wear. I'm also going to mention now that in the next songs she says "God bless Lili St. Cyr". Lili St. Cyr was a famous stripper around the time. She again is happy that people like sex workers have made it more normalized to wear revealing clothes.

Don't Dream It, Be It

This is technically Frank's verse of Rose Tint My World, but again Spotify lists them as seperate songs on the ceomplete soundtrack. He starts by telling us about how when he was younger he saw Fay Wray (who was btw earlier referenced in Science Fiction / Double Feature) on TV and started to cry because he wanted to dress just like her. I'm sure this is a familiar feeling to many members of the LGBTQ community, getting gender envy as a kid from seeing an attractive person on TV.

After this he sings about how you should give yourself over to absolute pleasure, including dressing and acting however you want. He also encourages you to enjoy "the sins of the flesh". For any fellow non-Christian's out there, sins of the flesh according to Google include "sexual immorality", sensuality, orgies and "things like these". Many of these things are considered pleasurable by the vast majority of people.

After this he jumps to a pool that just is there. He tells you to be it instead of dreaming it. By it he could mean pretty much anything but I'm assuming it's just general "If you want to do something (like crossdress or have gay sex), you should do it instead of just dreaming about it and dying unhappy."

Also the floor of the pool is painted to look like Michelangelo's painting The Creation of Adam. This is slightly unrelevant but there's a fair amount of proof that Michelangelo was not straight.

After this Columbia, Rocky, Brad and Janet join him in the pool and they all start making out with each other. During this Dr. Scott manages to turn back from stone and says that they must get out of there before he also 'goes crazy' so to say. However it's too late and he reveals his leg so that the audience can see that he's also wearing fishnets and heels, becoming like Frank and the rest.

Wild And Untamed Thing

This song is still in a way part of Rose Tint My World.

Frank gets up from the pool and starts singing about how he's "a wild and untamed thing" and "a bee with a deadly sting". This part feels like it's just about Frank's personality. He is a very short-tempered nonconforming murderer. Then the rest join in on the song and now they're singing "we're a wild and untamed thing". Maybe I'm just imagining it but 5 (6 if counting Dr. Scott) bisexuals in drag on stage singing how they don't fit into society, makes it really seem like "we" means queer people.

Also a fun thing about this song is that by the end of it Rocky's actor can't keep up with the rest an he's unable to lift his legs as high as others or even jump. I just think that's a funny detail.

After this song Riff Raff and Magenta enter the room declaring that they're returning to Transsexual. They're also wearing fishnets which kind of makes it seem like this is a normal attire on Transsexual, but that's not really important right now.

I'm Going Home

This is genuinely the saddest song to me, partially because I know how it's going to end.

Frank sings about how when he left the galaxy of Transylvania, he didn't feel like he missed it. But now on Earth he has seen beautiful things including the blue sky, which possibly doesn't appear on Transsexual as it is described as the land of night. But he realizes that it's time for him to go home. At this point he imagines an audience on the empty seats in front of the stage, showing his desire to perform to large groups of people, even if they never say it out loud.

Sadly he is not going, home and he is killed immediately after the song, ending his life too early but completed.

Conclusion or something

I'm not crying, you're crying.

I feel like I've really said all I wanted about this movie. It's been really fun writing about this movie and why I love it. Though I'm surprised if anyone has actually read this far. This post is 4176 words long by the way. That's longer than my Finnish essay for school.

I realized that Robin inngame becomes infinitly more tolerable and fun if you just think of her as kind of a dumbass. Like ok listen I dont know what the fuck is up with her voice lines. Like hers specifically. Everyone elses dialogue is pretty alright and even great. But something about Robin just does not click. Shes presented as this badass, marvel esque strong female character tm. Not to an unberable degree. Shes fine. But I feel like when I first played I only tolerated Robin when Al-An was stuck to her, because she would bring interesting things out of him. And it felt off sometimes. The worst bit Id say is, "How do humans cope with the loss of memories? Like forgeting someones birthday?" Like girl, this is clearly some existencial shit this man is on, get a grip.

Now, everytime I play and she says some shit like that, I go, "Sure sweetie. You go do that" And thats what got me to like her. Like to just think shes as a person is just out of touch as fuck actually makes sense with everything a lot more. Like yhea shed yeet herself into an alien planet with no way out just to comfirm a suspicion because she dosent like a company and cant accept the idea someone she loves isnt a perfect angel. All her brain holds is plant facts, you think she can make good choices? Yhea shed really just recite poetry to an alien expecting him to understand, without even knowing the damn thing in full. Girl is 90% pure unfiltered emotion and cant explain abstract concepts worth shit. Homegirl will really meet an alien thats like, "I wont explain who I am or my intentions but get me out of her real quick" and INSTANTLY be like "Bet, get your ass in this iPad". (Granted she didnt want to go as far as she did with the whole brain situation and she was rushed but still, not even panic.) Shed be the friend that everyone goes to when thyre in truble, because shell agree to murder without asking question if she digs your vibe. OF COURSE Robin will genuenly unpromted go "Hey that new body of yours in kind of making me feel something, Imma just give you the rest of my life and follow you into the void of space, leaving everything else behind k?" Bitch has never had a plan in her life, you think shes going to start now? She sees some alien ass and all else is irrelevant.

It also works with the gameplay, cause like idk about you but in Below Zero it felt like everything was yelling, "Hey, you have 30 seconds of oxigen. How about you go into that cave at the bottom of the ocean floor I bet theres cool shit in there." And sure enough I did.

And like, you have any idea how little self preservation biologists can have? Robin is the girl that will lick the frog to test if its poisonous, shes the one that does the pain tests for insect bites. She can and will manhandle a hipo because she wants to see the inside of its mouth.

This is so not what the game intended but I love waterlogged brain Robin and I will deny canon til the end of days.

angel!draken + 14] “this isn’t funny.” & 15] “a joke? you think this is a joke?” cw ; reader is being stalked by an unnamed character

you could feel their eyes pulsing into your very being. for weeks now, they’d been following you - stepping quietly as they walked behind you ; peering just out of your periphrial vision ; brushing against your skin as they walked past you. never had you seen their face, but this person - this stalker - pushed a strong sense of fear into you.

trembling hands held on tighter to your bag, eyes dancing around the city frantically as paced footsteps behind you copied your movements. the bell of a convenience store dinged in front of you and you sped up your walking.

a group of loud, boisterous boys met your eyes and a feeling of relief settled over you. there were so many of them and they all looked so intimidating - surely this person would leave you alone if they thought you were part of the group. taking in a gulp of breath, you shouted out to them. “hey, there you guys are! i was wondering which store we were meeting at.”

“uh-” a brunette boy looked at you dumbfounded as he sipped his noodles. the shorter blond beside him tilted his head curiously before his eyes trailed to the figure farther behind you. nudging a lavender haired boy and another blond, he nodded with his chin at you.

the atmosphere tensed immediately as you approached them. seeing your shaking hands and tearful eyes, the boys crowded around you protectively. the tallest blond wrapped an arm around your shoulders, covering your body with his as the purple haired boy offered you a sip of his drink.

from the corner of his eye, draken was just staring. his eyes were piercing into the creep who was following you, watching them and daring them to make a move. “about time you showed up, yn.”

you were startled at the sound of your name - until you looked closer. right, you went to school with the two blonds - when they decided to show up, that is. mikey grins at you, but something about it feels unsettling. “nice of you to bring us a new toy to play with!”

apparently your stalker snorts - or makes some kind of move to indicate they’re amused - because draken is turning to face them. his arm is now wrapped around the front of your waist as he glares at them. “something funny?”

“a joke?” mikey tilts his head again, blinking innocently. the facade melts and he’s grinning roguishly once more. “you think this is a joke?”

the brunette - baji he introduced through a mouthfull of noodles - laughs loudly. “it’s been a while since we’ve had a good fight!”

mitsuya nods as he stands on your left side, “i think ken can take care of things from here.”

draken’s hold on you tightens before he’s lowering his mouth to your ear. “close your eyes, ‘kay?”

even through closed eyes, you can see a flash of something bright. there’s a scream - followed by a giggle - before draken taps your hip to signal that you were safe once more. “didn’t bring our bikes, so we’ll walk you home.”

“did you guys see that light?” you don’t even think of your stalker anymore. draken has slung his arm across your shoulder once again as the four boys walk you home. you don’t acknowledge the absence of pitter-patter’s - your stalker is nowhere to be seen. your eyes are wide as you look at them like a meerkat, “think it was aliens?”

they laugh at that, mikey scream-laughing into baji’s side. draken tugs you closer and you can hear his laugh against the side of your head. you frown, “this isn’t funny! they could be real!”

“if that’s what you believe,” mitsuya grins at you. he shares a look with draken as they hear echoing footsteps start up again. but they sound weird now - like someone is staggering and limping and struggling.

draken turns his head as his eyes flash white. the footsteps stop again.

Doctor Who: The Ultimate Speedrun Marathon - Series 2 (2006)

Woah. I mean, what a Series! I didn’t know how Tennant and Piper would follow up Series 1, but they did a great job, not just in carrying over aspects from Series 1, but doing new things and carving out a new niche for the 10th Doctor. A lot of fun from all angles.

General Thoughts

I’ve always really loved David Tennant as an actor. Even before I properly started watching Doctor Who, he was my personal favorite Doctor (that might change over the course of this marathon, but that’ll come much later). Now having actually fully seen him in action as the 10th Doctor, I’m really happy that he met my expectations and more. He’s fun and snarky, same as McGann and Eccleston, but he brings this new sorta wide-eyed manic energy that one would probably expect from a 900+ year old time/space traveler. His look is also really fun and iconic, with pinstripe suits, long trench coats, and spiked-up hair. It compliments Tennant’s already tall and slim figure, giving 10 a lanky look reminiscent to a sort of alien Sherlock Holmes. The converse are a fun touch, too.

He’s definitely different from his immediate predecessor, but in a good way that makes sense given his new found attachment to Rose after Series 1 (or at least that’s my reading of it). He’s got a bit less angst, although it does peer through in good dramatic moments. Overall, Tennant’s able to juggle what made the recent previous Doctor’s special and memorable with his own acting sensibilities and personality. He really lends himself well to a character like the Doctor.

In companion news, Rose is just as strong and likable a character as ever. I knew new companions would show up eventually, so this whole Series I was just dreading the moment when it became clear that she’d be gone for good. Although I didn’t expect her departure to be THAT devastating! I mean holy fuck. Despite that ending though, Rose never stopped being an intensely compelling character, despite my assumption that her time as a companion was coming to an end.

As for the other campions, we only see Mickey return in this Series. When the Cybermen return to the show in a parallel universe, Mickey decides to stay behind there and help fight their invasion. It was another welcome surprise moment of character development from Mickey, especially when he finally realizes that he has a life and agency outside of Rose. However, when he’s able to return and help Rose and the Doctor fight the invading Cybermen and Daleks, it feels really truly earned on his end.

Also, how cool was it to see Sarah Jane Smith (played by Elisabeth Sladen) and K-9 (played by K-9) again?! That was a really cool and welcome surprise for me. It also avoids being a plot line of mere fan-service, since we get really cool insight into the life and mind of companions left behind by the Doctor decades before. However, they do eventually reconcile with the Doctor in their own bittersweet moments towards the episode’s end. Although, that reconciliation is a little bittersweet, given Rose’s fate at this Series’ end. I hope she gets something similar later in the show.

Queen Victoria’s hemophilia being explained as a strain of alien lycanthropy was very funny and very Doctor Who. The running gag about Rose trying to get her to say the supposed “We are not amused” line was funny as hell too.

The 10th Doctor meets alien Satan.

Cassandra returning was a shock. I know she got a bit of a redemption arc in this Series’ premiere but I don’t really care. fuck her

I felt so clever picking up on the little references to Torchwood before they were properly revealed towards the end teehee. Making up for not noticing most of the Bad Wolf hints in Series 1 ig.

Madame de Pompadour getting a whole episode to herself in order to fight against evil French masquerade nightmare robots from the future was a welcome surprise.

Alright, that about wraps up everything I wanted to say about Series 2. A great Series itself and an amazingly solid start to Tennant’s iconic tenure as the 10th Doctor. Now, onto Series 3.

Random collection of my headcanons bc I can’t have a cohesive thought and idk what to expand upon

Skull has a very complicated and confusing intimate history. At least.. Nowadays! He woke up from being an ice pop and suddenly all these new villains think he’s the hottest shit they’ve ever seen! He isn’t.. used to it, nor does he have any idea where it comes from. Some, he humors. Others, he ignores. Maybe it is to protect his empire.. Perhaps, it is to protect himself.. Like it or not, various villains chase his tail. He tolerates it. For now.

cOUGH COUGH HACK HACK— Okay so Imma rip off the bandage immediately.. Hawkeye and Red Skull would be very cute. hEAR ME OUT,, Just,, Snarky, Smartass Avengers Assemble Hawkeye getting wrapped up in Calculating, Cunning Skull’s plans? PEAK IDEA!! JUST P E A K!! I’m not one for Skull to venture far from Steve, however their history is.. complicated. Hawkeye.. He’s not Captain America, sure. He’s not the pinnacle of health (being deaf). He’s just a guy with arrows.. But.. that’s intriguing. Hawkeye is just a man with arrows, yet he’s an Avenger? Iron Man is a guy in a tin can, but he at least has money! Hawkeye.. is broke.. He’s snarky, he sasses Skull during most missions. He creates a back and forth with Johann only Steve really tries.. The other heroes? They don’t take things.. personally. Hawkeye does. Besides, he’s a blonde.. Skull is soft for blondes..

Red Skull and Captain America are each other’s comfort zones. They both woke in a changed world, one that shifts constantly. Sure, Skull is better at adapting than Steve. It’s his strong suit.. But, the world is still alien to him.. Steve feels this comfort more than Skull. The world changed, the one he knew is gone. His old friends? They all died.. The tech changed, the war is over, it’s all.. different. However, one thing remains the same. Red Skull. He’s the same Skull Cap remembers from the glory days. The accent remains, those piercing yellow eyes still glow, and his laugh is as evil as ever. Sure, Skull’s got a few new scars, but he’s still Cap’s same Skull. Steve is thankful for it.

Skull has various plots, sort of a plot A and plot B. Everyone sees plot A, rule the world, destroy the avengers, yadda yadda.. However, plot B is more.. selfish desires. Personal plans to satisfy a sense of.. longing in Skull. They’re more.. in tune with his heart, and he refuses to share them with most. Zola, Viper, and Night see the most of it. They’re his core support.. They’re granted access.. His B plans of course include his mother. He longs to bring her back, to at least meet her once.. Curiosity will always drive Johann and he longs to truly know.. Who she was. Does she like tea? Is her favorite color yellow? Can she sing? How will she feel about Hydra? So many questions he longs to answer.. Yet, his mother isn’t the only plan. He wants to create a daughter, one of science. He’d rather choke on his own blood then pursue a woman (as a gay man), so science will have to do. Though, he isn’t sure which candidate to use.. Him, definitely. Though, what other man is worthy to help create the new heir of Hydra?..

Skull gets bitches, okay. He’s got so many bitches trying to hit him up, it’s ridiculous. His army has grown beyond mere foot soldiers for this very reason. He has mechanical aid, thanks to his loyal lapdog Justin Hammer. He has technical aid, due to M.O.D.O.K’s.. strange devotion.. Vampires swarm Johann, thanks to the fact the Vampire King has set his eyes upon the Hydra leader.. At this point, Skull wouldn’t bat an eye if aliens become at his beck and call. Suppose he’s just that attractive..

Everyone agrees Skull is a fine piece of ass. Captain America will admit it, Hawkeye keeps pestering everyone about it, of course all of Hydra thinks so— Even Tony has to agree just so people stop bringing it up. The only one who’s too stubborn to address it is Widow, for she’s an aro/ace!!

Black Widow ACTUALLY has a Russian accent bc I’m upset they never give her one!! I also like the idea of her having spider features, bc she’s a BLACK WIDOW.. she’s also Hawkeye’s best friend bc I’d rather die than have another classic boy x girl love story.. cHRIST WOMEN AND MEN CAN JUST BE FRIENDS!!

Hawkeye is iconic, enough said. He is bisexual (male leaning), and is sort of a flirt. He flirts to take villains off guard, but if anyone offers to hit him up he wouldn’t object.. Also he’s deaf bc they need to stop taking away disabled representation!! He was practically raised in the circus of crime and has a big love for dance!! He’s better comic relief than Tony any day, and he’s super underrated. We stan AA Hawkeye!!

Mother Night and Viper are pillars of the Hydra empire and are very important in Skull’s life. Not only are they heads of his army, but they’re the female support he needs. Red Skull needs friends, he could truly thrive with a support system. He needs Viper’s level-headedness to keep him on the ground. While, Mother Night’s concern and affection for him allow Skull to know when he’s safe. We need more females within the Hydra army, and more women in general. Besides, they’re super cool and have awesome capes!!

Skull has complex feelings when it comes to parental.. things. He recalls his own father, and is envious of anyone who’s been graced with a mother. This all hits him when he decides to create an heir for Hydra.. Seeing baby Sin.. He’s conflicted, almost scared but won’t admit it. He doesn’t want to be like his father. He doesn’t want to live up to that.. However, he isn’t too sure how to properly parent either. At first, he is convinced he doesn’t want to raise a child. He’d rather have Zola age the baby up immediately, but.. Once he sees his little girl, he wants to hold her.. Carry her around and show her all of Hydra.. He’s lost in his head, and doesn’t know what to do.

Skull will always fixate on Captain America, that’s never going away! Though, his eyes have started to wander.. What if there truly is no hope for the Captain? He will never succumb to Johann’s wishes.. Perhaps, modern men aren’t so bad? Mr. Hammer practically begs Skull for the time of day.. He already has a loyal blonde at his feet. Besides, Hawkeye is a more.. receptive hero.. Sometimes, Skull believes it’s time to broaden his horizons. Let go of the past, only then can you prosper fully..

Red Skull is extremely starved and he doesn’t know it at all. He’s pent up, and the fucking idiot has no idea. He doesn’t know how much he longs for romantic and sexual attention. No fucking clue that he often day dreams about a proper Hydra wedding.. Does he stare at the male heroes? He can’t tell.. He doesn’t get lost in eyes, nor get flushed within certain arms. His heart refuses to flutter at many voices.. Skull doesn’t.. desire to dance with someone.. after a delightful dinner.. under the moon.. He doesn’t realize how lonely he truly is.

Skull did indeed freeze in the ice with Steve. Both crashed during that flight, and both were frozen staring at each other for years.. According to Steve, it was a very intimate encounter..

I really like Johann with the Tesseract, soooo I’m keeping it! It acts sort of like Jarvis, but it doesn’t speak. All it does it glow and display images for Skull. The Tesseract can hint at the future and give Skull advice. It’s a very friendly artifact! Though, has a bias towards Johann due to the very kind treatment Skull gives it!

Ok ok. Probably the last of the OC talk I'll do here for now, but I want to kinda gush about some hella self-indulgent OC/Canon stuff of mine because I've been thinking about them for a long time now -

So. Amita and Vegito. They initially befriend one another in a pretty nonchalant way. Amita definitely catches (physical) feelings first, she was attracted to him the instant she first visited his stall at the farmer's market, and continued to keep buying produce from him for over a year before things changed.

Naturally, Vegito eventually found out she has cyclops blood because Amita's guard slipped and her third eye got exposed one occasion, and that really interested him. Because ya know, Tien does exist and all. So he brings up martial arts and ki; all that. Amita tells him she knows what ki is, can use it, and is something of a marital artist. That's more than enough to get him properly interested in her. She's capable of fighting and isn't totally ignorant unlike the majority of Earthlings. Granted, Amita stopped regularly training due to a massive depression hole she fell into for a few years in the past and was out of shape, but Vegito was more than happy to both train her & spar with her. He got familiar with her enough and he actually liked being around her, so he figured "why not".

To not ramble for too long about them; their relationship starts after they've developed a strong understanding of one another, and they each hit a very deep and special note for the other. Both of them are quite reserved and closed off, but Amita's stubborness in wanting Vegito to know that it doesn't matter he's a fusion, he's still a person like her, gets him to gradually open up over time and talk about his insecurities.

Likewise, after learning of her upbringing and related traumas, Vegito echoes the sentiment. Maybe they are both fucked up on the inside for reasons beyond their control, but they can be fucked up together. (And of course, their personalities just. Mix well. Amita's more serious and "responsible" than him but she also a tendency to be blunt and a shit-talker. Vegito knows he can poke fun at her and she not take it personally, with she able to do the same with him. It's a minor thing on a surface level, but looking into it, their dynamic helps the glue between them strengthen. Not to mention how Amita knows how to comfort him when he really needs it, and after becoming more in tune with his own emotions thanks to her compassion creating a space for him to feel "allowed to feel" in a sense, Vegito also learns how to comfort her. I'm sooooft.)

Next, Gogeta and Maya (my 2nd DB OC that I still need to draw). Unlike Amita who's part alien and has connections to her alien heritage, Maya is completely human in virtually every way. Blood, lifestyle, basic understanding of the world, etc etc. She's basically ordinary. Only "special" thing about her is that she developed a more philosophical understanding of life and death, due to her past job of being a EMT. That she had to leave because for the first time she saw someone die with her own eyes, and it heavily fucked with her mental health.

When Gogeta first meets Maya, he naturally assumes she's just like the average Earthling. However, after they encounter each other a few more times, Maya musters up enough confidence to ask him out. It's more so she was really curious of him, and wanted to talk to him a little more. He's thrown off, but figures he could accept. They were just going to a mere cafe to talk; it was no big deal.

…And it wasn't, until he let it slip that he "used to be dead" during the small talk. To his shock though, Maya was fascinated with that statement instead of being scared or disgusted. She even said "well, I'm happy you're alive now" with a genuinely cheerful look. Gogeta was still a little embarassed though, and didn't let much else slip at the time. His own curiosity of her still grew, and is what allowed them to keep meeting up, slowly forming a kind of odd but nice friendship.

The magic of their future relationship stems from this. Maya, despite being an ordinary human, isn't ordinary when it comes to things that Gogeta realizes he can actually talk to her about. She's extremely open-minded, and believes he's an honest person (and he is so the faith isn't misplaced), so she always listens keenly whenever he shares more about himself. He being a Saiyan + a fusion on top of that, that he can use ki and what ki is, that he can even fly - she takes it all in with no grains of salt. Despite how the two of them come from completely different places in life, Maya still sees him as someone like her regardless. He still experiences his own thoughts and feels his own emotions.

Maya is the first person that makes Gogeta feel…real. He still has Chi Chi, Bulma, and their children all in his life of course, but there's a big disconnection between them all because he knows he isn't Goku or Vegeta. Not only that, he keeps to himself so much that he has literally no one else in his life either. In his eyes, there was nothing that actually rooted him to reality. What was he even doing on this planet? Why did he stay? But where would he go or what would he do if he left? Was his own identity even his own? He technically shouldn't exist to begin with.

Maya and the sense of companionship he gets from her is what initially causes him to start thinking differently. She genuinely cares about him FOR him, with no pretenses or ulterior motives attached. What's more is that again, she is just a human who had no prior knowledge or experience with anything supernatural (unlike Chi Chi and Bulma, as points of reference). It blows his mind that the first person he sincerely feels close to is someone like her. Her sense of spirit and unwillingness to turn him away for being ""weird"" or ""wrong"" charms him greatly, as does how she just. Respects him as a fellow living being. Maya becomes even more charmed herself, because of the sweet, benevolent nature Gogeta truly has underneath the walls he keeps up. He comes off as being indifferent, even cold, but he's not for the people he grows to care for. The mutual attraction they develop for one another grows and lets the pieces fall in place.

(To bring this up for them as well; Maya and Gogeta's personalities definitely have the "opposites attract" vibe going. Gogeta is like "someone will die" and Maya is "of fun!" in that one meme. They're cute af.)

thinking about Airell and how alienated he is for majority of his story. He is always this addition to the family/squad and he never feels like he fully belongs. kinda long post so have this cut here~

First he lives among the Itzel. He is unlike anything they have ever seen. Yes, they take him in and consider him an honorary frog, but he himself feels this gap between him and his peers. He can never "get hopping" with them and while he is pretty athletic, he can and will never be as "fluent" as them up in the canopy. He constantly feels the need for reassurement - you are a part of the family, you belong - although he never says it out loud.

Then he moves East to Central Tyria. Everyone takes him for someone else, someone he isn't - a secondborn sylvari. And that is yet another time when he pressures himself to be someone he isn't. He walks among them, laughs with them, but he will never truly belong. He has never had a connection to the Dream. He might look like them. But he is not one of them.

It slightly changes when he meets Trahearne. They are similar in some ways. While Airell is different because he is a stranger, Trahearne is different because he has to become a stranger. Throughout the game you can find various pointers towards this. One is distant because he comes from beyond Maguuma Wastes, the other is distant because he is away all the time.

Exhibit A (A for "actually my only exhibit):

Trahearne, unknowingly to both Airell and him, becomes this anchor for Airell. Someone to relate to, someone to understand the feeling of belonging somewhere but at the same time not.

But nothing lasts forever. As soon as Trahearne is gone, Airell is lost. He has been away for so long from home he feels like going back there is not an option, he is afraid of being told he is not a part of the family anymore. All of it is enhanced by the feeling of something being wrong with him after he managed to get out of a blighting pod. There is no room for reason in his mind, which is engulfed in a storm of guilt, loneliness and enstrangement. Airell needs love and support, yet feels that there is nowhere he can get that from.

Until now, Airell has been only feeling like he is not enough to belong somewhere, that he is lacking something and can't get it to become a part of a family. But from the moment he wakes up from the blighting pod, Airell's identity crisis starts.

1. He doesn't know what changed within him. All he knows he feels the need to go East. He knows he's looking for something. And he is not just hungry - he is ravenous, like a beast that's been starving for hundreds of years. It scares him. He knows something is wrong with him, but he does not know what and he isn't sure where to look for answers. He isn't sure if he wants to know.

2. Now that Trahearne is gone, his anchor is gone, the question is who he is without it. This one connection, the one that felt most authentic, most real, is suddenly gone. Airell has a strong need to find a replacement, but at the same time, deep inside he knows it won't happen - Trahearne is gone for good. Someone with whom Airell shared joys and sorrows, so many adventures, is gone. Grief is devouring him alive, pushing him further and further away from "Airell" and more towards the unknown person that emerged from the blighting pod.

When one is grieving, their mind and judgement are often... clouded. They may think and say things they don't really mean. Braham's grieving process is focused around anger and looking for anything that would bring him closure to Eir. In LWs3, he lashes out at the Commander, however tension in his voice hints that whether he lashed out or not - he would still be consumed by anger and frustration. As for searching for closure - Braham does not join Dragon's Watch, he makes his own version of Destiny's Edge, he is holding onto Eir's bow, he wants to slay dragons immediately and does not listen to reason.

Braham got a lot of backlash from the gaming community for that, personally I feel like it was due to people not understanding his grieving process. TBH I was there and it took me a while to like Braham again or to properly understand him. But Braham is not the center of attention in this post. Airell is. I mentioned Braham because I felt it was necessary to point at what grief can do to a person.

Airell is also consumed by grief. When he gets out of the blighting pod, he has a lot to process. He tries to piece together what has happened, his best bet - Trahearne was consumed by the dragon and the Commander killed him. However, Airell knows Trahearne better than anyone at that point - he knows Trahearne wouldn't just give up without a fight, not like that. He's wondering if Mordremoth has become too much to handle. He's wondering if Trahearne was still himself when it happened, or perhaps he was beyond help. Not knowing drives him further and further into grief and guilt - maybe if Airell was there, Trahearne wouldn't end up like that. He feels like his life is now meaningless.

In the end, Airell is lost to grief, guilt and this something that awakened within him in the blighting pod. He feels like he's slipping from himself into this inner vast ocean of emotions that cloud his judgement and pull him away from anything that could help. As far as he knows, he is travelling without destination, just East, looking for something that's calling out to him. A part of him wants to just lay down and die - his life lost its purpose. But at the same time, a part of him is still fighting and looking for anything that would give him new reason to hang on. He is hoping that when he reaches the end of his journey he will be able to move on and live again, not just...survive. Because for now all he is doing is surviving. One day at a time.

AGE. 13 / 43 (verse dependent) NICKNAME. jonesy, jones, ambrose HEIGHT. 6'2" PROFESSION. private school professor PRONOUNS. he/him SEXUALITY. closet bisexual. married & had 4 children with his wife but it's been suggested that he isn't capable of loving women or emotionally pleasing them. DISABILITIES. physically disabled from being hit by a car. his hip is very much remade from metal, so he uses a cane when the weather is cold or the ground is slippery. he tries not to use it because he has internalized ableism. MENTAL. mild depression, mild alcoholism, can hear people's thoughts and this brings him to often stare into space/become disassociated because he's focusing on not reading someone's thoughts. talks to himself. after the invasion, jonesy's depression and disassociating gets worse for some time before leveling out.

BIO. jonesy was born in 1960 in derry, maine: 20 years after the events in the book IT. he was born into a middle class, affluent family as an only child. due to his isolation, jonesy was bookish and quiet for much of his years before meeting the dreamcatcher kids. after meeting them, he became their leader of sorts: he was the tallest out of them and he was fair to everyone.

eventually, after meeting duddits and getting his gift, jonesy struggles with mental illness in the form of being able to read minds without boundaries - something he still struggles to stop himself from doing. it didn't stop him from pursuing harvard as a college choice, however, and he and henry spent their college years together.

as an adult, jonesy is still struggling: his wife asked for a divorce and his children despise him for being absent, he's working through his fourth surgery for his hip and he's hooked on oxycontin. in short, jonesy is in a bit of a midlife crisis when the invasion makes things take a turn for the worst.

ABILITIES. the line is something jonesy's (and by extension, his gang) lived with for nearly his entire life. it comes to him as a boy, as a gift to him from the universe, it seemed; for that's what duddits was, he was a gift from the universe freely given to save the earth with whatever little spark was left in him.

the line is an invisible thread. it anchor's him to every human being on the planet and no person is exempt from the gifts they were given. jonesy, in particular, is in possession of a very strong line. the line gives him the ability to read other people's thoughts and to pull in the frequencies of other human beings like a radio tower: he doesn't need to be close for him to read a mind, but the frequency is stronger the more jonesy is emotionally attached to them.

his other gift, although not as strong as beaver's, is the ability to sense when something bad is going to happen. it comes in flashes like memory, as if he's recalling a thought that already happened - except it hasn't happened but it will. soon. TIDBITS.

jonesy has been a life long fan of all things space and alien's. he wanted to be an astronaught for NASA as a boy and he dressed up as Major Tom for Halloween for five years in a row as a boy; incidentally, the very reason why mr. gray is able to invade the earth as quickly, and as manipulatively as he is, is because of jonesy's vast mind full of alien movies and how humans work.

essentially, jonesy's intellect is what sped up the invasion and later, when mr. gray decided to poison the water supply, he was the one who stopped it by outsmarting him.

jonesy is half in love with henry. they were the closest out of their friends growing up and later, when they're all separated, he and henry still converse daily. he doesn't realize what he feels is romantic love, so he's stupidly devoted to him, but he does feel a deeply familial sense of love for him that often brings out the worst in him when henry finds partners/new friends.

drug use: jonesy has a slight addiction to popping his pills. due to the severity of his accident (being pronounced dead, he was resuscitated twice, went through 3 surgeries) his prescription has over a dozen refills and he's quick to share with friends. that being said, he's not at the point in his addiction that he'd be making irrational decision's to get more. he's in the budding stage.

sleeps with his students now and again

insomniac, eats very little, often gets dizzy because of this.

04/12/2022 - it's been a while

Last entry was 30th of November. No really consistency. I bring it up again, I guess it must bother me, or maybe just the fact that I wanted to write everyday and in the end didn't? Then again considering myself it's more or less an impossible task for me, I'm doing better than I did before. Though I shouldn't abandon, I'm doing good with this diary.

So what happened ? On Friday I had a long day after a short night and then I went out to run with my mum for an charity event. I have not run in a loong time, only bicycle and just to go and get from my school and some errands. I did pretty good though, 8,5 km. I was so exhausted though. Then I spent the whole of Saturday studying and writing down my notes and then again on Sunday with a little more lax and also I slept in late. I have quite a few exams this week, idk how I feel about them. Tomorrow is...well I could say in the hands of god but i don't believe in it.

Things is I spend so much time studying that I have little time to do much else. I have not really been able to continue the comics I was reading, or start the book I've had for months now, or even catch a little bit of an episode from a show. I mainly just listen to music because I can do that and keep working on school stuff. It feels a little alienating, though I know I have to because it's school, I still try to find some time to do things.

The cat I was hoping to meet got adopted which yay for her ! It's a good thing I made clear in my mind that as long as I don't have a real liking for any of them on the picture then I wouldn't mind who gets adopted before I get to meet them. What counts is how they'll react to me when I meet them and the ones that are there then. Of course I'm a little sad because she was gorgeous and I would have loved to have her home, I daydreamed a little but I'm allowed to be sad, as long as I don't drown in it. Saying that I'm sad already does a lot.

And finally, I had a little...weak moment ? I was thinking about my ex friends and how long we've been apart. Thing is I've not talked to one of them for a month and the other the last message I sent (not one they answered) was about 2.5 weeks ago. I don't think it's a good idea to talk again right now, or at least not for December (too much happening with the exams, the new job, the holidays etc), but I was thinking maybe January ? It'll be about 2 months after I last really talked to anyone of them. I know people are not forgotten that easily (well...talking for myself really haha) but you can move on pretty quickly if you have 0 interaction with them, and I have no interaction with them. So I've been thinking and a few thoughts got out :

They might have moved on, the 3 of them. We are barely acquaintances at this point I guess, and I wouldn't blame them (as I said, 0 interaction). So is it a good idea to contact them again ? As much as I had fun times with them I have a hard time believing we were actually friends ? Not in a bad way, but in a I-never-felt-like-their-friend way. It's a weird situation where I have strong memories of feelings I'd associate with good friends but at the same time they feel like sort of strangers to me. So it would be like building it all up again but from the ground, with better foundations.

Do I really want to be their friends ? I am mostly motivated by memories and sparce moments, but do I want to be their friends ? I know I interacted with them a lot because they were friends with my one friend there (the same way you interact with the friends of your friend at a stranger's party). Thing is I try to be a generous and kind person as much as I can. I try to treat everyone well so I don't have that many bad interactions but then everyone I talk to is pretty much nice so...where does the line about being friend is ? I have trouble with that one. There are people at school I'm on good terms with, I even work with them etc but I wouldn't call them for anything too personal, or to talk about the randoms of my life. If this is what I go with then I guess we only really talked in the genral group. From what I understand they all had private conversations between them, I didn't, not really. So was it friendship then ? Or was I just being socially correct and nice? And then, do I want to be friends with them ? Before I try anything or ask them, I should have some sort of understanding on that matter myself.

And there's always the problem of that person. I don't know how to deal with that still. Do I want them as my friend or is it some weird attachment or memories of good feelings I'm trying to get back like a junkie ?

I'm weirdly concerned with doing the right and good thing, I don't know if all of this is really healthy but no one reads this and it does take a little off my back to write these interrogations I have.
