I just was desperately looking for Ron content I hadn’t seen before and kinda fell in love with your blog (I also found you on Quora and love your answers there also)! I’d keep going back even further than I made it (sorry if that’s creepy) if I didn’t keep losing my spot and having to scroll all the way back to where I was (stupid phone). I want to be as bold as you are when it comes to defending Ron. He’s my hyperfixation and the way you passionately defend him is amazing. You take no shit and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for loving Ron. I love your fight back attitude because you’re right - Ron fans have spent decades fighting for our lives in this godforsaken fandom. Anyways, thank you for inspiring me to be loud and proud about defending Ron. It’s becoming a hobby of mine.

Don't be sorry! I'm glad you enjoyed my blog! Do keep in mind though that I've been... needlessly aggressive in the past, over sometimes misunderstandings. I can be much too angry, so... be careful. I tend to forget that behind the messages, there's another human being... ... a human being that's also a Ron-bashing asshole, yes, but a human being nonetheless.

Anyway yeah!! It's exhausting how much casual Ron-hate is still tossed around, and how even Romione shippers will call shitty toxic tropes "cute :)". Yeah sure, maybe Hermione saying "oh Ron you're MY idiot :)" was cute once. But when you've seen over a thousand fics where Hermione calls Ron "MY idiot :)" while Ron gets cruxified the SECOND he's upset at her, yeah that's not being a Ron fan, that's just being a Mary Suemione simp.

I should really finish my fanfictions, show an example of what kind of content I wish Romione could be. Enough of the bootlicking for Hermione, enough excuses for her, enough of thinking that her academic results are somehow proof of her being on another level of being. I hate that kind of thinking. People really have no idea what school does to kids, do they?

Other folks have talked about it before, and it's true, that a lot of Ron-hate is steeped in social issues. Classism, elitism, sexism, ableism, puritanical Calvinist bullshit from the USA's finest """Christians""". The notion of Ron being "useless" and how that means he shouldn't be friends with Harry and Hermione... like, my guy, you know that's the way Voldemort thinks right?

It's kind of astonishing how badly this fandom misses the point of the whole series (it's not like Rowling was being subtle about it!!), but then these are the idiots that worship Draco Malfoy and claim he was redeemed when his last action pre-Epilogue was to claim he was on the Death Eater's side. If that's the role model these folks want then no wonder they can't appreciate Ron: Ron actually recognized when he fucked up and actually apologized and tried to do better, while Draco was saying racial slurs and showed no remorse aside from that time he cried about how murdering people is hard. Of course the fandom of folks who believe that Harry should forgive Malfoy when Malfoy never apologized would assume that Ron is a bad guy: can you believe that Ron shows remorse? Remorse is for weak people. Only cool people don't have remorse, because that means they have nothing to regret. That's how it works right?

Anyway. The HP fandom sucks, it's a cesspool of bigoted jerks that like to pretend they're really progressive but are just a mirror of their much-loathed author whom they still worship through Hermione dearest. Rowling's books teach us that it's okay to impose your ideas onto the "lesser" peoples because it's for their own good, that a few performative words about how you think everyone is equal is enough to have you branded "tolerant" even your other behaviour is the polar opposite (see how Hermione will chide Ron for being "racist" towards giants when he points out that they're violent... only to be a quivering terrified mess in front of Grawp, yeah, I can smell the tolerance from here), and OF COURSE, that girly girls are dumb sluts here to steal yo man. Oh and also that the man is always to blame, and if he's feeling hurt by something, it's invalid unless he's an orphan.

This fandom sucks, but that's the only place where there's a tiny chance to find actually decent Ron content. Woe.

Harry Potter for the ask game?

Favorite Male: Albus Dumbledore (He's my favorite character overall - so complicated and layered with so many shades of grey! Such a great sense of humor! So many great quotes!)

Favorite Female: Luna Lovegood (We'd totally be besties if we went to Hogwarts at the same time - especially because I'd be in Ravenclaw too. I had a couple friends in college who were a very similar flavor of dreamy-and-thought-of-as-odd-but-actually-super-cool.)

Favorite Pairing: Hmm...probably Romione, mostly because we got to see its slow development up close. I can't stand them being dumb jerks to each other and others in HBP, but in a way that makes it even more satisfying to see them mature into an actually good, supportive couple in DH.

Least Favorite Character: Dolores Umbridge (Isn't she everyone's?)

Most Like Me: .____________. *blank stare* I'm...not sure any of them are much like me at all. I identify with little bits and pieces of characters here and there, but they're often so much larger than life that I don't really see much similarity with boring ol' me. I mean...I would love to say that I'm like Griselda Marchbanks, the inspiration for my writing pseudonym, but...I'm not really. I guess if I have to pick someone, I'll go with Remus Lupin - particularly as he was in his Hogwarts years. A good student, amazed to discover that he actually has friends, too afraid to speak up or stop them from doing what he knows is wrong, for fear of being alone again. Yep. That could be me.

Most Attractive: Sirius Black (Please note I'm going from my imagination when reading the books, not from the movies. Gary Oldman is great and all, but...sorry, I don't find him particularly attractive. The Sirius who lives rent-free in my brain, on the other hand, especially pre-Azkaban....)

When I was a kid/teenager I was quite anti-Hinny. I think I reckoned it was boring, obvious and too convenient. Also I’m not a fan of Big Bro Angry At Lil Sis’ Boyfriend, it’s such a dated cliche.

Now I am pro-Hinny but honestly my main reason is because, well, it’s canon. From a writing perspective, who else was Harry have realistically going to end up with?

Cursed Child was a Hinny game-changer for me, I LOVE their relationship in the play.

Rating Harry Potter Ships, Part One

I have decided to share my unwarranted opinion about Harry Potter ships. Feel free to suggest more ships for me to rate, ask me to elaborate on my opinion for a ship, or even debate me about my rating. Who knows, maybe you'll change my mind.

Draco x Harry:

4.5/10

Pre war would be enemies/rivals to lovers where they come across each other 'accidentally' in back hallways and empty classrooms and end up making out or hatefucking until someone comes a little too close to catching them and it freaks them out and Draco would say something like 'don't mention this to anyone' but Harry would still tease him and make innuendos around other people, confusing both their friends, until finally they get together and eventually come out to their friends.

Post War I feel like it would be one of those heat of the moment things, like we're really the only two who understand each other because we were in similar situations and now we're both depressed and craving comfort so let's meet up to have sex while barely talking to each other otherwise. Very toxic, Draco would probably be jealous and borderline emotionally abusive, and Harry would be depressed and emotionally fragile. Both those boys need at least a decade of therapy before he pursues a romantic relationship.

Sirius x Remus

Same as before. I was obsessed until a couple months ago but I've sort of grown out of them. I think of Sirius in the same light as Draco. Needs therapy and would be too toxic for the kind of relationship Remus deserves after everything he's been through but with the being said

Remus x Tonks

My reason for not shipping this isn't because I think Remus and Tonks are both queer (I do think Remus and Tonks are queer, that's just not why I don't like Remadora). It's because if Tonks was 2 years younger she would have been Remus' student which is all fine and dandy for fantasies or roleplaying but in all actuality Teacher/Student relationships cause a severe power imbalance and it would be incredibly ignorant on Remus' half to partake in such a relationship. Not to mention it just feels pedophilic, even if she's over 18.

James x Lily

Perfect, beautiful, couldn't ask for anything better, yes yes yes yes yes! This is my favorite canon ship and I believe the two of them are soulmates.

Hermione x Ron

Now I am on the fence about this ship. I used to think Ron was immature and childish, the kind of spouse that would want a traditional relationship from Hermione (you're the wife so you do the chores and raise the kids and I'll go to work) but after reading some Romione fanfic <3<3<3 Himbo simp supporting his genius wife. Love to see it.

Hermione x Draco

No. Worse than Drarry. I cannot stand Dramione. My biggest thing is he literally calls her a slur on multiple occasions, which is not husband material. Also, like with Drarry, he needs therapy not a significant other. Maybe they could be friends years down the road once Draco has grown and matured and finally apologizes for all the shit he did to her as kids.

Harry x Ginny

They're cute. They're alright. They're like Jily and I love them for that. But they're like... the Target version of Jily. Not quite the Walmart version but definitely not the original. I think they would be cute together though, and Harry would be the supportive husband Ginny deserves.

I think they're the kind of people who would try dating each other because they're so close and then after like 3 weeks they break it off mutually and become lifelong bestfriends. “Good morning to you too.” Ron said.

“Rita Skeeter!” She answered angrily, Sitting down beside Ron.

“Why?” George inquired

“She got her job back somehow, and started creating rumors again!” She said, pointing at the headline of the daily prophet. ‘Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, Possible secret relationship? trouble with the trio?’

George didn’t look that surprised. This had happened in His sixth year, and Both Harry and Hermione Were very clearly mad about it.

“Wait, at one point she didn’t have a job?”

“Yes. Thanks to me.”

“What?”

“Do either of you have a jam jar I can use?” she asked, getting up.

“Calm down, love,” Ron said gently. pulling her back down.

“I want to trap her again!”

“Well, At first I was too angry to Realize it, but then I realized she wasn’t allowed on school grounds. ” Hermione paused to breathe for a second, “And when she knew Harry’s scar hurt that one time in divination, I knew something was up, but didn’t know what to do about it, And the realization sort of stuck with me, So when I was in the hospital wing, I looked on the windowsill and I saw a beetle, I wasn’t going to do anything about it, but then I noticed the markings around her antennae were exactly like those stupid looking glasses she wears, so I trapped her, And then found a book going through all of the animagi laws, and she was marked as ‘Unregistered’”

“Breathe, Hermione.” Ron said.

She took a deep breath before speaking again, “And so I used a small glass jar, and trapped her in it, using an unbreakable charm, And I talked to her saying I’d let her out in London, And that if she kept telling the world Those stupid lies, I’d notify the ministry somehow, and tell them she was an unregistered animagi.”

George looked flabbergasted.

“Yeah, I know, It’s been three years, I’m still shocked to hear the story again.” Ron said.

Hermione laughed lightly,

“It’s been three years and i’m still shocked about the fact I actually did that!”

They all laughed,

“Now, Do you have a jam jar or something like that?”

“Why don’t you just tell the ministry she’s an unregistered animagi?”

“Because, on the very, very slim chance she convinces them that she’s not,” Hermione said, “She can still write the terrible things she does, without any problems.”

“‘Mione, just write her a very angry letter telling her to stop this,” Ron said, “or you’ll tell, then hope she does,” “and if she doesn’t, you know the minister of magic personally. Then you don’t have to track her down.”

She sighed, “Fine.” She said, picking up the Prophet again, She crossed her legs and leant on Ron and Began Reading through it, skipping The article about her and Harry. As Ron Kissed her forehead and was playing with her hair, George wondered how stupid the world would have to be to think that Hermione And Ron don’t completely Love and appreciate each other.

002 . this is a mutual exclusive roleplay blog, meaning that if i follow you, i intend to write with you. please respect that if i do not, it means that for whatever reason i just don’t see myself writing with you, and understand that in these cases my memes and starter/plotting calls are for mutuals. between work, my other blog, downtime and a social life i’m pretty busy so i would consider myself low activity. while i'll naturally favour writing with those i talk to regularly, i don't tend to practice mains/exclusives, this is just because i've written in some tiny fandoms before and i don't like people to feel left out

003 . i’m familiar with a lot of fandoms, and i love a crossover so if you have an idea for one, it’s probably a pretty sound bet that i’d be down. any crossover verses i've already thought up will be on my verses post for you to check out. i don't really practice exclusivity so consider every interaction with an individual to be a separate verse unless discussed prior.

004 . when it comes to shipping i tend to go based on chemistry and if i haven’t spoken to you beforehand for plotting, i’d prefer to kind of feel it out and see how the characters go. in saying that though, i do enjoy shipping as a part of storytelling and i’m pretty open to it. i’m also okay with pre established relationships as long as there’s discussion first or they’re a canon couple. i do ship dramione, however i'm pretty particular how the relationship would progress so it'd need to be heavily plotted first. also the dramione fandom obsession with bashing ron is not on here. ron is amazing and i love romione just the same.

005 . while on the topic of shipping, nsfw will sometimes be present, though i am very selective about when i do. i like it to serve the plot/relationship. i won't write smut right off the bat and definitely require some build up between our characters. if i do write smut, it will be tagged as spicy cw but not under a read more. if your only interest is to write smut i’m not your girl, i get bored of it too quickly to be writing it often.

006 . triggers will be present on this blog, particularly when it comes to exploring hermione's mental health post-war. i always try my very best to be respectful of triggers and i tag anything i know or think could be one. i personally do not have any triggers, so if i’ve missed something please tell me and know that it’s not intentional.

007 . most of all just know that anything here is in good fun. my energy to write waxes and wanes - please don't be offended if i dip every now and then when life gets overwhelming and know that i am never somebody who gets impatient waiting for replies. always take your time and do what's comfortable for you!
