He could move again! That leaden dead weight that had felt like it permeated every last muscle fibre in his body for the last few weeks of the Magick Drain had lifted. And, while deep down in his chest he still felt exhausted, this was exhilarating. His feet hitting the pavement, his lungs moving freely. And his pace had picked up, perhaps a little too much, but at this time in the evening as the air was beginning to cool he was too happy to slow himself too much.
