this is a new culture blog like plural-culture-is but for specifically mixed origins systems. pretty sure there have been other blogs with this premise in the past but i can't find any that are still active so that's why i'm starting this up
all submissions should start with a variation of "mixed origins culture is..."
"multigenic culture is..." and "polygenic culture is..." are valid submissions and so are labels within mixed origins ("traumaendo culture is...", "isoscegenic culture is..." etc.)
i might answer plurality-related questions but it's not guaranteed
To date, the most powerful restraint on the revival of eugenics has been nature itself. Single genes account for only a small fraction of human traits, disorders, and diseases. Like intelligence, most human characters are polygenic, and therefore are not even genetically understood, let alone subject to manipulation.

This is actually a pretty funny story, because "finding out" we were plural came sort of way after the beginning of our plural journey! To make a very long story short, almost three years ago now, "I" was inspired to take up tulpamancy and willingly become plural. (some first person accounts if you're culturally concerned) This resulted in Badeline after a good 3~5 months' worth of effort (progress was gradual), whom delightfully chose her name for herself even though I worried it'd demonize her. ^^ We got our "first" other unintentional member suddenly and all at once after a month or two, then it kept happening again and again - and when outerworld life got sketchy, we got way more people, of all different origins.
It took us a while to finally stop and realize that it's extremely abnormal for someone to end up with the floodgates opened like this after only tulpamancy, and that led to us examining our past with the knowledge we'd gained. This combined with our recently-acquired awareness of monoconscious and median systems led to both my realizing that "I'm" not just me - I'm a small gaggle of facets attempting to be one person - but we've also showed latent signs of median plurality since early middle school! It was shocking to say the least, and helped explain a lot of the confusion in our childhood. Technically I didn't even exist back then! But I'm still a part of the Prism, so it sorta feels like I did.
All that took roughtly a year and a half to figure out, from what we consider Badeline's birthday to when we finally decided to acknowledge it to our close friends. It's been a rough ride but I wouldn't have us any other way ^^ thanks for taking the time to send, I ended up system-manager-infodumping a bit haha oops
tbh I think people tend to be dishonest about whether memes are making fun of the people in them, because deep down most of us know it's pretty cruel to turn random civilians into jokes just because of how they looked in one picture. Not all memes that use pictures of people are making fun of them but a lot more are than people want to admit. And a lot of subjects of memes have had a good sense of humor about that, but you also have to wonder what the alternative for them was. Anyway, I think the inability to accept that a lot of memes based on pictures of people were originally making fun of their subjects is why people react to the "change my mind" meme like it wasn't originally intended to mock Steven Crowder.
hi!! i wanted to ask, on your cat generator over on perchance, you said that it's using your most up to date polygene models, and i was wondering where i could find those if you've uploaded them anywhere? 👀
I am actually going to be doing quite the overhaul of my polygene models soon because I'm bothering to do the actual math behind it (which apparently nobody else has really done before). I am running into some trouble because in many ways they are behaving opposite of how I intuitively thought they would.
However, no matter how you generate the numbers, all of my polygene models follow the formula of bigger number = more thing, smaller number = less thing. Most of the scales are 1-6, but wide band is 1-10. These numbers don't have any significance, they just ended up being right for the amount of granularity I wanted. They are not simulating a polygenic system with any particular number of genes, we are assuming that there are way too many genes to bother with individually.
When writing the genetic codes, I give them a gene symbol followed by a number. I coined a lot of them, but these gene symbols are free for everyone to use with whatever models you want to represent them with.
Pig - Coat pigmentation, affecting solid cats and stripes of black-based tabbies. Represents concentration of eumelanin.
Ruf - Rufousing. Effects redness of red cats and base color of black-based tabbies.
Wb - Wide band. Covers the whole scale of possibilities, from dark to light to golden. 7 and above are varieties of golden.
Sp - Spotted. Turns mackerel tabbies into broken mackerel or spotted.
Tm - Ticked modifier. Removes stripes on ticked tabbies, creating the proper agouti pattern at high levels.
Bm - Bengal modifier, the same one that uses a single gene on the advanced calculator.
Wm - White modifier. Effects amount of white on white spotted cats, going from no visible white to bicolor on Ws- cats, and bicolor to nearly full white on WsWs cats.

Action systems as minions ... 💜 just some thoughts
The the theory of structural dissociation details the effect of early trauma prior to the action systems integrating, combined with the ability of the brain to compartmentalise, i.e. to dissociate/being hypnotizable..
This is consistent with earlier “breaking” trauma causing greater system fragmentation.
The important point to recognise when discussing action system is that they are complex network of neural activity that control actions (physical), intention (mind), and environment (reaction).
It is easy to see how, if the system is fragmented, there is a lot of coordination to be carried out purposefully.
Rufousing is a polygenic trait which influences the “richness” or “warmth” of phaeomelanin pigment in agouti cats.
Polygenic means there isn’t just one “rufous gene,” but rather multiple genes which influence the phenotype. When it comes to rufousing in cats these genes have not yet been isolated and identified.
That hasn’t stopped breeders from being able to select for more or less rufousing, though! The ruddy Abyssinian being an excellent example.
On the left is the ruddy Abyssinian WCF Ch Lissana's Fiesta and on the right is White Wolf Phaeton.
These are both black-based ticked tabbies.

In tabby cats the “true” color is portrayed by the stripes, which is why what’s frequently referred to as a “brown tabby” is actually black-based.
The rufousing polygenes work on the banding in between.
Here are some more examples!
One the left is a cool-toned Exotic Shorthair with low rufousing from Puro Glamour and on the right we have a very warm-toned Persian with high rufousing from Belcanto.
And then on the left we have a Siberian with low rufousing compared to the very warm-toned Siberian with high rufousing on the right. Both cats are from SarSibi.
In silver cats rufousing is referred to as tarnishing. On the left we have a Maine Coon without tarnishing (tarnish id undesirable in the breed) from Imperial Family and on the right we have an American Curl with tarnishing from ILmatar. This cat is not a tortoiseshell.
