Classic Classism (Haiku) 5/26/2020

The profitable

Closed caption, truth is not told

Cash trade for lives lost

Two sides of darkness,

Corruption and consumption,

Both can buy cheap blood.

Ravishing war zones

Senseless loss of countrymen

Broken families

Blood from worker's backs,

Stings my eye with sweat from lack,

The vultures scoff on.

Unseen corruption

Takes hold of a nation and

It devastates it

pandemonium

Sells, the pockets start to swell

For executives

Those Empty pockets

Equal out to empty field

It will rain down blood

Chase the carrot down,

If you find a string attached,

I'll hang you with it.

You choose, life or death

See, things dont last forever

See the causalities

Chewing tinfoil,

Twist knives in empty stomachs,

Silver lining grey.

She exhaled. Hands shaking, heart wavering, she built the altar. A collection of her favorite inspirations, pieces of her home, fragments of her past, and hopeful glimpses of her future. With every crawling second, she felt her anxieties meld into the sweet melodies of the night life surrounding her. A world of creatures, nestling into their carefully crafted homes. She thought about those creatures, beautiful little beings of all shapes and sizes, living a life as real and vivid and pure as her own. She smiled, and her thoughts drifted with the air rustling the pines high above. A sea of needles, green and fresh and burning with the spark of life danced to the symphony of bellowing creatures below. And her mind wandered still higher, to the infinite ocean of celestial bodies above. That ethereal realm, contained only by her own limited perspective, which so passionately cradled her world. Turning to her altar once more, she inhaled. Unknown tracks

which leads down a unknown path

One look back

My visions gazes down a unknown past

Distant yet so close by

I'm one finger tip away

From forging a connection

Bridging the present to what was formly known

In order to generate a future

Large enough to engulf a current state

My train of thought

A conduit for time travel

A rail road spiked

By the illustrious elixir of truth

A vigorous substance

Endorphins produced by the harmonious sounds of my youth

Bitter sweet

Succulent Juice drips from my lips

I'm a stone skip away from gingerly breaking the surface of these fond memories

A lonely wander

A sightseer

I'll occasionally

Revisit the images that I keep close to me

A confrontation

Not of joy but of misery

A reminder that not all lock doors

Deserves a warm reception

But what must be done should be done

To overcome a reminiscent past

Untitled VIII (a request) 5/29/2020

The man in the mirror

Is Forced to gaze upon yesterday's past

Unable to see a future without the mentioning of his name

Or his claim to fame

Sitting on top of the world a prestigious domain

Which He refuses to believe that his seat has been taken up by another

His ego seeks the attention, it lives for the spotlight

But the bulb had finally blown

Desperate to replace it, he goes to great lengths unimaginable

Everyone likes a Controversy he thinks, so I'll be the source of my own

Failed attempt after failed attempt, into madness he continues his descent

Hopelessly in search of a place to call home

The idea location, on the forefront of minds of the people

Reassurance, a false security blanket he uses to wrap himself in

Unfortunately, this is just a sign, the beginning of the end

His days have been numbered

The countdown cannot be stopped

One day, maybe, he will find his way back on top

Temporarily, since nothing last forever

A painful truth that he is now forced to believe

With just a look in mirror disappointed in what he sees

“Good Girl’s Wrath” ✶ from my second upcoming book.⁣ ⁣ It’s the charged, raw ones in this book that are changing me. I tap into my past and those emotions that still linger to this day. I navigate the delicate balance between expressing the feelings I’ve buried for too long, and feeling like I’m “too much”, “too dramatic”—something I’ve never thought of myself as until I literally spoke my mind and feelings into this room. 🔥⁣ ⁣ I hide behind my writing a lot. She rested her head on the shoulder of a great bough. Through dreamy eyes she studied the early morning light that danced through the sea of fresh spring leaves high above. They looked so youthful together — the light and the leaves. Different by anyone’s initial interpretation, but at their core they stood united.
