Prince Yu: You could be the emperor, they told him. Of all your brothers, you're the most like your father, they told him. Xiao Yu: He is not his father's favourite son. Everybody knows that. As a child, he had liked to think he could compete, but he should have known better. Even with Chuhe gone, even as the only possible candidate, the title of crown prince is still not his. What's worse, though, is that he is not his mother's favourite son, either. She sits and she sighs about some other child that he has never met, as if he isn't right here, not loved by either of them. No matter. He'll use whoever he has to to get the power he deserves.

Ye Zun: He is nothing, he knows. You have no power, they jeer as they spit at him and beat him. His master laughs at his downturned head, taunts him with the knowledge that his own brother sold him to his life of misery. He has never had power… until he does. And once he’s found his strength… why would he give it up? Why wouldn’t he make them pay?

Shen Jiu: He was plucked out of a ditch as a child, with nothing. No food, no home, no parents. Only an older brother, and for years it’s enough. Then, not even that. Later there's power and prestige, but alongside it hatred, mockery. And then he dies, unmourned, unnoticed, unloved. Even his so-called older brother doesn’t notice. This is a secret he has always known - the only way that the story can end happily is without him.

Runyu: He has been pushed to the side in favour of his brother, but he can’t hate him. He is the only one who has stood by him. If that means stepping into the shadows as he strides into the light… well, it is no hardship. Until he meets her. His future wife, their fates intertwined since birth. The one shining promise that has kept him warm through the tormented millennia. And so, for the first time in his existence, he chooses to be selfish. Is that so wrong?

On morrissey, he doesn’t hate bowie or bolan? They’re both big influences on him and his catty moments in relation to them are more or less…run of the mill musician cattiness. The robert smith thing is also pretty over exaggerated and neither of them care now. His politics (though not always agreeable) are far from fascist and I think it cheapens fascism to call his views fascist. regardless of if you like him or not, he is anti establishment, vegetarian, anti police, anti monarchy, pro lgbt (queer himself), so on so forth. He has definitely made racially insensitive comments but a lot of them are more…out of touch? The accusations of racism with morrissey first stem from NME and homophobia (i can send sources on things if you’d want them lol I’m not just saying this stuff to take the piss or defend his honor or something I know it sounds bizarre) He definitely deserves criticism pls don’t get me wrong but I think the amount of hate he gets is disproportionate when musicians like siouxsie, nick “conservative with a small c” cave, peter murphy, or even bowie have said/done just as bad or worse but generally don’t get the same treatment. Though I read in an article that although he previously didn’t vote for any party in elections is now showing support for a new far right (and have been described as fascist) party, I believe the party is called for Britain. Even Nigel farage said that the party was made up of ‘Nazis and fascists’.

However, I completely agree. I’ve read about Morrissey and his contribution to the lgbtqia+ community. I believe that that’s amazing and I’m glad that he’s using his fame to push for something so important. Didn’t he also describe himself as human sexual? He’s definitely done some great stuff but in my opinion he’s also said some extremely horrible things.

Possibly? But (I might be wrong) but from what I’ve read/watched he’s very intelligent, or at least comes across that way. I feel that because he’s intelligent he should be aware of what he’s saying.

I’d be interested in seeing some sources. Not because I don’t trust you but more because I find Morrissey is an extremely interesting person and I like looking at the good and the bad aspects of him.

What’s your opinion on the racist/anti-Semitic/anti immigrant things he’s said? I know that you said that the racist comments were out of touch but what about the comparison that he drew about animals and their slaughter to the holocaust. He said that ‘there was no difference’ between the holocaust and what happens in McDonald’s everyday, he also said that the holocaust was ‘nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s’ I feel this is extremely insensitive, his choice of words is very poor here. He also said that the Chinese are ‘a sub species’. He’s also stated that he feels England should be very exclusive of who they let in, he complained that when he was in England he ‘couldn’t tell where he was’.

Also I find his multiple comments about rape absolutely revolting. He said that about the Harvey Weinstein victims that they ‘went along with it, they now feel embarrassed or disliked’ this feels extremely insensitive, I mean he makes these women sound like they enjoyed being raped and groomed by a man that was way older than them.

I absolutely agree. Morrissey is just as bad as the other musicians. However, I find that moz does it in a way that is desperate to get attention. I mean yeah Nick Cave maybe isn’t progressive but in my opinion (this goes for Morrissey as well) he’s just behind the times. Also Nick said that he’s ‘temporarily’ a conservative, he also hasn’t praised trump or liked far right leaning politicians. Also Nick cave is a pretty big trans rights defender, he said recently “I also have another impulse, which I hope is more common, and that is to treat everyone with equal love and respect, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, religion or anything else. I essentially see the world as a collection of individuals, each unique in their brokenness, who have at their core a common and binding sameness of spirit.

although I am slightly uncertain as to where I am supposed to stand on such things, or rather _why_ I am supposed to stand anywhere, I will say this – I love my trans fans fully and wish them the best, as I love all my fans and wish them the best. I feel toward them that same duty of care that I feel toward all those who exist within my sphere.”

lovejoy have a game that if ash doesn’t show up to rehearsals then they get to tickle him OR alternatively, lovejoy have a game where if ash doesn’t vote in the groupchat poll within 24 hours then he gets tickled. either way, the clip of wilbur entering the room except ash gets all nervous and fidgeting about it

concept 2:

when james offers wilbur with the challenge of making ash laugh, wilbur straight away goes to tickle him as a joke. but ash flinches away anyway. and so wilbur tickles him anyway coz “it was cute and so he deserved it”

concept 3:

ash just occasionally refuses to speak even in band brand practice, and so the other lovejoy members try to make him crack by threatening him with tickles

You have no idea how attached I have become to Ash, Mark, and Joe so receiving this little treat in my inbox made my whole day sweetheart!!

I love the idea of the boys making a game out of getting Ash to speak or laugh, they probably have a little tally chart and everything of who's made Ash crack the fastest.

Mark - who I have diagnosed with Golden Retriever energy - probably tried going "If you don't talk Ash it'll mean you're not my friend and you hate me. Do you hate me Ash? I thought you loved me :(" and Ash adores his friends so of course he'd break just to tell Mark that, even if it was a ploy. Mark is ecstatic every time it happens "HE LOVES ME GUYS!!! Joe gives me the idea that he'd ask Ash things like "I'm heading out for coffee, do you want me to bring anything back for you?" "I've had a bad day, it would be really nice if someone hugged me and told me it would all be okay." "Ash, pls say something I miss your voice" And Ash would give in to Joe's needs because he is not missing out on Greg's coffee again, absolutely not. And Joe is a sweet guy, how could he not indulge him a little?

But of course it was Wilbur that found the cheat code. It was Wilbur who has a little brother that he loves to poke the sides of to make the boy yelp and swat at him. So, he uses this method on Ash, and is delighted to find that it makes the man squirm in place and grin, smacking at his hands as he tries to ignore the sparks shooting through his nervous system. Naturally Wilbur keeps poking until Ash bursts into laughter or gasps at him to cut it out

And so it begins; the boys have their usual tactics, but Wilbur has thrown a new one into the playing field and by god do they abuse it. Ash has had to cut so much footage from his vlogs of his bandmates getting that glint in their eyes and starting towards him like some kind of lion ready to pounce. The tickling is usually brought on by practices becoming dull and needing something to pick it back up, Ash refusing to talk and the boys wanting to hear their friend again, or when they're just seeking out to mess with someone. Ash doesn't really mind it the playful attacks, especially considering Mark probably gets sprung as much as he does. (That one clip of Wilbur and Mark oh my god, do you see where my mind is going-) I am hereby decreeing that Ash and Mark are the common lees of Lovejoy

I refuse to believe there hasn't been a few instances where one of the boys will start a tickle barrage out of nowhere and it devolves into chaos immediately. For instance, in their secluded house for song writing? Tickle fight to help improve moods when they're stressed out or need a bit of fun. Band rehearsals when someone is dicking around and not being serious? Tickle the silliness out of them.

These musically talented lads are so fond of each other that the childish acts of tickling is just another form of affection or fun, and sometimes they need a moment of light-hearted chaos

Let the propaganda begin. Katniss Everdeen should win. Her entire story is defined by her being a sister. If she wasn’t a sister the whole story wouldn’t have happened. Her volunteering for prim is the core of her character. It’s who she is. She’s got the sister instinct. From when she was a young kid until the very end of the series her primary priority was her sister. And it’s a fucking tragedy the way it ended. She lost the most important person in her life, the perosn she sacrificed everything for.

Now on why dick Grayson shouldn’t win. I’m just gonna say it I like his character, I really do he’s great but he’s not more older sibling that katniss. He’s a good eldest but it’s not his core. At his core he’s a hero, which is where is varies from katniss. I think that while he started off his journey to being a hero as a super angry vengeful kid he grew to be a compassionate hero who cared primarily about others (why does that sound so testimonial), katniss on the other hand her core is her love for her family. In terms of inter personal relationships, common misconception about dick Grayson is that he’s very close to all his siblings, this is false, he’s closest to Damian and Tim. Although some versions of him should not be allowed siblings (looking at you titans nightwing 🤮)

I’m actually struggling to slander this man bc I’m gonna have to take things out of context which are true but feel like I’m doing something wrong, I’m already stretching with some of the stuff I’ve said and look I’m anon and stuff but I’ve talked up anti dick propaganda but I do actuallt like him I just don’t think he should win this by poll in a very genuine way. Each time I think of something I’m like “personally could justify his actions” bc I’ve spent so long analysing his characters decisions someone pls help

Ig what I’m saying is katniss deserves this win. But dick Grayson is a good brother. But katniss deserves to win. She is THE older sister. So Uh sorry if this doesn’t make sense or w/e i just woke up. Vote katniss 2023

Ah, I'm not a predebut engene unfortunately. I watched i-land after in 2021 around the Border: Carnival era. My first comeback as Engene was Dimension: Dilemma. The Heartbreak tiktok that they made is what made me curious then I was hearing Fever everywhere so I decided to look into the group and that's how I am here now...

I watched i-land knowing who was going to be in the group but it still killed me every single time. By the finale I was very much just like let these 9 debut pls, they'll be great don't let any of them go.... Oof I know, the evil edit on K and the whole Jay thing was so frustrating but I had to remember that I was watching after the show had aired so its not like I could really do anything anymore.

I think i-land is a good watch for any engenes that are interested in seeing the groups beginning, I love seeing how those bonds made there are flourishing now and it makes me so happy that they can all laugh and joke about i-land now which considering how stressful the process must have been is just good for me.
