I accidentally changed a setting on my keyboard and while trying to fix it (no luck) I discovered that my phone has obtained German Duolingo stickers out of nowhere, which is both whimsical and totally on brand with Duo's creepy stalker vibe. I'm scared.
ok so i screenshotted this moment because i thought it was pretty cool
the first time we get to see all four elements working together for a common enemy, blah blah blah, but i started laughing because
sokka’s fucking boomerang. sokka threw a fucking boomerang at princess azula, renowned lightning bender and heir-apparent to the throne of the fire nation.
i think i posted about this before but i can’t get over the time i asked if my cousin Diana is going to be at the london olympics and my dad said “she’s dead” thinking that i was for some reason talking about princess Diana who died before i was born
This isn’t really related to the rest of my blog but I need to rant about something. I was watching a that’s cringe video on youtube with Cody Ko and Noel Miller(if you’ve never seen them, I recommend it. They’re hilarious) and I was reading the comments and I got angry. There are people out there shipping them??? They both have girlfriends and are heterosexual. And even if they weren’t, don’t ship real people. I see this sometimes with Danny Gonzalez and Drew Gooden. They literally have a whole video of them reading a fanfiction about themselves and it’s hilarious. Literally let two men have a normal nontoxic friendship. Imagine if a bunch of random people online started shipping you and your friend that you have no romantic feelings for. That’d be weird, right? Just because they’re comfortable in their masculinity and are friends with someone doesn’t mean they’re in love with their friend. Let two men have a normal healthy friendship.
I’m perfectly fine with shipping fictional characters. Because they can’t actually be affected by it. They won’t read your 100k smutfic about them. But real people might. Real people can get uncomfortable because you’re looking for romantic subtext in everything they do. It’s weird and don’t do it. You may feel a connection with them through their content but they still have their own lives and own relationships and we need to respect that.
“Women” and “People who can become Pregnant” are not synonyms
Not all women can become pregnant. Not everyone who can become pregnant is a woman.
It is important for us to use accurate and specific language when talking about important issues, because we always want to include everyone who is impacted by an issue. Exclusion and erasure are forms of oppression.
