save a bastion for queer culture in a famously hateful city
i’ll try to write a shorter and sweeter post about this later, but for now i will just beg at length.
there is a town near me called Murfreesboro where at various points they have banned or attempted to ban public homosexuality, drag, and pride flags. for a time their county’s youth incarceration rate was 48% (contrasted with the rest of the state at 5%) due to corruption in their local courts system. every juvenile case that made it to the wrong judge resulted in the child being sent to jail, because the county commissioner thought it’d be “cool” if the jail was a “profit center” (yes these are his actual words). these are just a few examples but suffice it to say, this is a very difficult place to grow up, especially for LGBT kids.
despite all of this difficulty, the area has a remarkable alternative music scene with a few small venues where queer people and young people who don’t fit in elsewhere can genuinely have fun and feel safe for the night. despite the city’s reputation, queer people in the broader area flock to the town for raves and DIY shows. in this area, music culture is intertwined with queer culture and leftist efforts to a much greater degree than i’m used to as somebody from the middle of california.
i really admire the venues and event organizers that cultivate a safe spaces like this in a place where it is decidedly unsafe for queer people, and where the youth are constantly in danger of having their lives ruined for totally arbitrary reasons.
this is why it breaks my heart that murfreesboro is trying to shut down a venue called The Graveyard Gallery. the graveyard gallery is a place where a ton of events are constantly held for lgbt, furry, and alternative communities. it is one of very few alternative places in the broader nashville area where i have felt really, truly safe and welcome as a person of color.
most recently, The Graveyard Gallery has come under attack for attempting to hold a Trans Day of Visibility punk show, with the apt title “Trans Day of Vengeance”. Conservative media, both local and national, directed the attention of their audiences towards this event, calling it “tone deaf” to have it on easter, and to have it sort-of-kind-of-close-to-but-not-quite-on the anniversary of the shooting in nashville. All of this, of course, ignoring that the date for TDoV was set in 2009, and that this was a small DIY punk show that really bore no threat to anybody. the show had to be canceled because of credible death threats, so it didn’t even happen, but that hasn’t appeased anybody.
in the wake of this, murfreesboro’s fire marshal has suddenly decided that the building is not acceptable for occupancy and it has to close immediately and for the forseeable future. people can claim it’s unrelated, but i’ve known people to have their businesses suddenly declined by fire marshals due to sheer bigotry before, and shitty towns will just use their fire marshal to bankrupt small business owners that they don’t like. i do not speak for the owners of the gallery on this front, but i personally believe that these things are related.
all this is to say, the graveyard gallery needs to raise money for their legal fees over this matter. this venue is very important to a lot of people, and may be even more important now that the city’s music scene is in the crosshairs of massive conservative media companies.
if you can donate please do, and if you can share this, please do that as well.
thank you for taking the time to read my post. i know there’s a lot going on in the world, but music venues are where people here gather, and music venues are often also a place where people organize to make meaningful change and promote causes that i know most of you would approve of. music is at the heart of this community, and the venues are where the music lives.

Oh my God Daemags + ice skating pretty please?
Tumblr media
Here you are @imakemywings and @i-did-not-mean-to! 1.1k words of everyone's favourite nerdy gays. No warnings other than a couple soft expletives and one suggestive remark. Context: In this AU, Daeron is Luthien's brother. Daemag have the "And they were roommates" arc. This is about 6 months into their romantic relationship.
“I think we should go on a date.”
Daeron stilled the chopsticks supporting a cascade of rice noodles over his steaming bowl of pho and wrinkled his nose. “Isn’t this a date?”
“Like an actual date. This is just us being too lazy to cook.”
“Dates are expensive.”
“I’ll pay for it.”
“Oh no no. I told you I don’t like it when you get all charitable.” Daeron glared and lifted the noodles to his mouth. “I have money,” he grumbled around a slurp.
“Great,” said Maglor, exasperation mounting, “then why do you care if it’s— never mind. I thought we could go skating at Ivrin Square.”
“Skating?” Daeron’s face twisted in disapproval. “Oh come on Mags, that is so silly. Not to mention what a waste of energy it is cooling the ice… you know temperatures are 3 degrees above average this winter?”
Maglor reached across the table and smacked his boyfriend’s arm affectionately. “Get over yourself, Dae-bae. I’m taking you skating and you’re gonna have fun.”
*
Shrieks of glee and the scrape of blades against ice filled the square as a crowd of skaters looped round and round the large Christmas tree in the middle of the rink.
“Someone is definitely going to crash into that thing,” said Daeron, tipping his chin in the direction of the tree. “Dammit, these things are so uncomfortable!” He shoved a foot into his rental skate.
Maglor snugged Daeron’s scarf around his neck and pulled him forward for a kiss. Daeron made a sound of protest but didn’t push him off. “It’s a good thing you’re so cute when you’re cranky,” said Maglor, then affecting a posh British accent, “Dost thou require help with thy boot, Prince Daeron?”
Daeron snorted. As he laced up his skate, he muttered teasingly, “You’re such a nerd.”
“So says renowned local history podcaster Daeron Singh-Goel! Oh, and please remind me which of us studies Aramaic on work time?”
“Akkadian, not Aramaic.” Daeron tied a bow on his second skate. “I’ve told you this like a hundred times.”
“Whatever, they’re both equally dead.” Daeron opened his mouth to protest but Maglor leapt up, dragging Daeron with him. “You ready?”
They shuffled awkwardly to the rink entrance. “So,” said Maglor, bracing himself with one arm on either side of the gate, “when was the last time you went skating?”
“Uuh, I dunno, Lúthien dragged me to Aelin Uial when it froze over last winter. Maybe February? Why?”
“Mmhm. And are you… good at it?”
“I mean I know how to stop and skate backwards and stuff.”
“Cool.” He slipped Daeron a smile and grasped for his hand. “Come on, then!”
“Maglor. Do you know how to skate?”
“Sure!” Maglor fixed an enthusiastic grin on his face. “How hard can it be?”
“Oh my god,” Daeron said, as he was dragged onto the ice. Almost immediately, he was straining to hold Maglor upright.
“I can’t believe you don’t know how to skate!” Daeron shouted, guiding Maglor to brace himself on the flimsy plexiglass fencing. “This was your idea!”
“Yeah, and I know how much you love being better than me at something.” Maglor yanked him into am embrace. “See? I’m already holding myself up.”
“I am holding you up,” Daeron said, “which is really not easy considering you’re half a foot taller.”
“More than half a foot, I think. Come on, Dae, show me your fancy tricks.”
Daeron groaned, but slid his hands down Maglor’s arms to clasp both hands, then began to slowly pull him backwards. “All right, good. No, no! Keep your feet together. Yes, like that, toes in. No, not that in. And look at something that’s not moving— no, don’t look at me.”
“You love this,” Maglor whispered.
Daeron ignored him. “All right, we’re gonna turn now, easy. Just keep your weight balanced— wait, no!— aaahh! Ow!”
In an instant, they were horizontal on the hard ice, Maglor laughing gleefully and Daeron sputtering a string of curses that only made Maglor laugh harder, especially considering the number of small children dodging them.
“You did that on purpose!” Daeron cried, scrambling to one knee. “Get up, get up!” He yanked Maglor to a seated position. “That’s dangerous! We have knives on our feet. Get up! And stop laughing like a madman, someone is going to think we’re drunk.”
But no one seemed to be under that impression as far as Maglor could tell. The other skaters wobbled and glided past them with amused smiles. “Fine, fine,” he said. “I’ll do better staying up for you.”
“Oh my god.” Daeron rolled his eyes. “Are you drunk?”
“Of course not. I’m just having fun.”
Daeron took both his hands and looked at him with resigned affection. “You’re so crazy. Come on,” he held out an arm to act as leverage, “get up.”
It was only once upright that Maglor registered the smarting of his hip and knee, so he stuck to the sidelines for a while after that. Daeron, as predicted, could not resist the temptation to show off a little. Maglor smiled as he swooped past him, throwing in the occasional flourish with his arms. And as it turned out, once you got the hang of it, skating round and round wasn't that difficult.
It was also rather boring after about ten minutes, and Maglor found himself singing along to the carols blasting on the speakers.
“You know I can hear you all the way on the other side,” Daeron said, sliding up beside him.
Maglor raised his voice in answer. “A beautiful night, we’re happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland.”
A passer-by whooped and clapped. “All right!”
“…to sing a love song, while we stroll along…” Maglor reached for Daeron’s hand.
“Now you’re showing off,” Daeron said.
“Come on, Dae, I need a harmony— He’ll say, ‘are you married?’, we’ll say, ‘no man, but you can do the job when you’re in town!’”
Daeron pursed his lips in a way that said he was trying very hard to resist joining in.
“Later ooon, we’ll conspire, as we dreeeam by the fire, to face unafraid, the plans that we’ve made.”
Daeron relented, and together they chorused the last lines: “Walking in a winter wonderland.”
A family on the sidelines cheered and applauded. No more able to resist the draw of an audience than Maglor was, Daeron smirked and guided Maglor in a cautious twirl.
They both laughed as Maglor narrowly avoided another fall.
“So, are you having fun?” Maglor asked.
Daeron huffed and said, “Yeah, yeah. I guess,” then gave Maglor a quick kiss before gliding backwards and launching spiritedly into the next song.

Violin anon here!! Just got out of a big rock show, was moshing the fuck out of a pit for a solid hour and somehow my eyeliner is in tact. So anyway~ gave me fic idea inspo that I might write.
College Grian frequenting the local scene constantly with his friends Mumbo and Pearl. Pearl gets in the pits with him, they’ll be dancing for hours and know all of the local bands by heart. Mumbo is that friend and Grian’s roommate who sticks on the sidelines and supports them, holds cups and brings a backpack with water and hair ties. On the other hand Scar is new, he’s gone to maybe one or two shows years ago but never once did he get very involved. The music was loud and he didn’t really understand the appeal. His roommate Cub finally dragged him to a show after finals, saying he needed to give himself a break. Somehow Scar ends up in the pit for the first time, definitely panicking a bit but the adrenaline is so worth it. He gets shoved back to back and doesn’t expect it, and per the rules of moshing you catch a motherfucker if they fall.
Scar looks up to see the owner of the arms that managed to catch him before he even hit the ground. A blond is grinning down at him, completely sweaty and a red bandana keeping his hair out of his face. Scar thinks he looks kind of like an Angel. “You alright? Need a break? That was a bad fall.” The blond asked, and Scar wordlessly nodded. Maybe it was the adrenaline or the heat but for the first time in his life he ended up leaving the bar with a guy that night after a few drinks before even managing to ask his name. They had talked for over an hour and not once did it come up.
Cub made fun of him for practically the next month for it, the ‘nameless moshpit Angel’ that Scar never even got the number of but managed to fuck. Grian had left their apartment before Scar even woke up.
Yet somehow, the next semester Scar found Grian in his architecture class. And only during attendance did he learn his name, and get his number in the class groupchat.
Scar didn’t quite know if he was meant to be a one night stand, and didn’t know whether to text the man. Luckily, Grian did it for him at two am in the morning. And of course it was asking Scar to a show.-🎻

Happy Blorbo Blursday, sweetpea! 💕 Ramble us about your pirate wives please!
Thank you so much Timi! I’m always happy to talk about them! 🥹💖
Here’s a meiker.io image for reference, beautifully drawn by Elequinoa. (Left to right: Pedra, Josephine)
Tumblr media
I’m gonna put this under a cut because it got way too long lol
Pedra Castillo and Josephine Navarro are the first of the main couples to enter Paradise, having arrived in 1730. Josie came from a wealthy family in Spain, who had been pressuring her into marrying a wealthy young man because she was showing a strict interest in only woman, and her family didn’t want to be the embarrassment of the town.
While at a local ball that her parents dragged her to, Josie retreats to the garden and meets Pedra, a lovely and quiet woman who she gets along with quite well thanks to their shared love for music. Josie wishes to see her again after the ball, but can’t seem to find her until she performs at the docks and finds her among the sailors, dressed just like them and going under a different name. Pedra talks to her privately and insists that she’s a woman, even though her body isn’t to her preference, and she and Josie vow to support and protect each other.
They eventually fall in love and run away together with a ship and a crew, stumbling into Paradise after their boat is blown to pieces in battle. Gazali finds them, offers them the accepting home they were looking for, and gets the Celestials’ help to give Pedra the form she desires. Over the years, Josie gets to perform music for the growing crowds of Paradise, with Pedra right beside her. They get married with all of their new friends there to watch them.
These ladies are super friendly with the Paradisians. If anyone needs help, they’re both there in a heartbeat. Josephine’s best friends in their group are Molly, Cecilia, and Alex, and they like to play quick songs together in the town square. Pedra’s friends with pretty much everyone, especially Ruhi and Gazali, but everyone’s surprised by how well she gets along with Rio. They like to spar together and trade parenting tips.
Speaking of which, Pedra and Josie are the sweetest parents to Sophie. When she shows up looking for help and starts bonding with the others, these ladies make sure she feels at home. Good food, music, boat rides on Paradise’s vast sea, anything their kid wants, they’ll provide. Pedra calls herself the fun mom, but they’re both equally fun, and Josephine likes to tease her by saying Sophie thinks she’s cooler than Pedra.

What productions has your theatre company done recently? Do you have pictures?
:D
I sure do!
So the production I was most heavily involved in (so far) was a show called The Kornilov Affair, which was a two-act comedy written, rehearsed, and performed in under two months at the beginning of 2022. It was kind of one of the most insane but also rewarding shows I've ever been a part of. I wrote the book and lyrics and helped to compose the songs, as well as performed in the ensemble (that's me in the back left)!
Tumblr media
If you're interested in reading the play, it's available on New Play Exchange!
More recently, we did a production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which was super fun and very cool!
Tumblr media
We're a tiny theatre company, but we have our own space, which means that we do a lot of things other than theatre in order to be able to keep the doors open. I really like it because anyone can come in and use our space for a performance, so we've done comedy, music, play readings, benefit events, and so much more! Our primary education program at the moment is improv, but we're planning on expanding into playwriting, intimacy coordination, and potentially burlesque and drag classes.
Tumblr media
(This was from a production of the wish, which is a play about abortion rights, that we did in November to raise money for our local abortion access funds)
I'm especially excited for the beginning of 2023, because we'll be devising another show, and this one's going to be a full musical! I'm heading up the writing again. We're also putting on a production of The Fantasticks in February and have a lot more in store for the rest of the year!
I think our theatre stands out from other theatre companies because of our openness. If someone wants to do something, we'll provide as much space and support as we can to make it happen. We are also dedicated to paying our artists for every performance, which is where most of our financial need comes from. As of now, we're only able to provide payment after performances by taking out a percentage of ticket sales, but we would love to be able to pay people before they start the work so that they are able to have something to support themselves with while they make art.
Basically, it's a really special little place with a lot of new and original art coming out of it! If anyone is in the Iowa Corridor, please come on down and check us out!

I am so happy you went to a pride event! Please tell me all about it!!! ♡♡♡ I didn't end up going, but it was okay. I had a nice day at home by myself. Those who went told me it was SOO hot. I would have melted into a puddle if I was there. Um, I also love wearing a mask! It makes me feel safe. But I'm afraid to be the only one wearing one. OH actually while at the pride event, my sibling got me rainbow masks :) ♡
AWE ♡♡♡ I love you too! ♡ We are friends ♡♡♡

Sakura Mochi - Chapter 3a
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
Hatchday - Part 1 - Kamihara Rin
"Onaeni, please," I whined.
"Hush, child. You need to look good for Akira's celebration. There will be lots of important people there," my nursemaid said as he fussed over my outfit.
Looking into the mirror made me scrunch my nose. My hair, long and silky black, was tied up the way I hated it. The robes Onaeni was helping me into were heavy and far too fancy. I just wanted to shrug them off and go play until Akira showed off their dragon form.
A knock at the door caused me to turn my head. Yuki stood in her outfit, looking as beautiful as ever. She was always really pretty. She suited the fancy robes and hairstyles and I didn't. Yuki grinned when she saw how uncomfortable I looked.
"Onaeni, Akira needs your help with his ceremonial robes," Yuki announced.
"Oh, that dear child," Onaeni sighed.
He glanced at me, giving me a silent warning to stay still and wait for him, before leaving my room. Yuki giggled, walking further into my room to stand in front of me.
"You look so nice in fancy clothes. I don't know why you don't wear them more often.”
"Because they're uncomfortable. I don't like how heavy they feel," I explained.
She shrugged.
"If you say so, Bug."
Noni, Akira and Yuki walked ahead but I dragged along behind them. Parties were fun but we couldn't party until the ritual was done, which was at the temple. The only fun part would be when Akira transformed for the first time and presented their dragon to the guests. Then, they would be presented with a mate. I always hated that part when our parents or our instructor talked about it. Dragons had destined mates but they rarely met.
Because our lifespans were so long, we often settled for pairing with someone that was matched with us by the local temple. I thought it was dumb. There was a fated match right there and all we had to do was look. But, dragons didn't leave our realm and our mates could be any creature, dragon or not. Plus, the dragon realm was vast and expansive. They were just lazy. That's what I always thought. I certainly wouldn't mind going on a journey to find my destined mate.
"You should be smiling for your brother," Nobi spoke up softly.
I didn't realize she was walking beside me.
"What's there to smile about? They're going to be busy doing adult things now," I answered.
"But, he'll still make time to play with you and Yuki. You should be happy for him. As his sibling, you should support him."
I remained silent. Nobi sighed, reaching out to offer her hand. I took it, allowing her to guide me to the temple. Maybe she didn't get it because Noni was someone she loved. They were matched, too but they instantly fell in love.It was a quiet walk to the temple after that. It was near our estate, but far enough away that we had to take a small trail to it from our property.
Once we arrived, I could see the crowds of people outside the temple. It was shaped like a crescent moon. There was a grand entrance on the largest outer curve and once inside there was a stretch of open hallway from one end to the other. There were a few smaller buildings attached to the temple's crescent but the biggest part was the amphitheater. The hallway, with arches making up the inner walls, opened up into circular, tiered seating that slowly sunk level by level.
At the center was a circular pit with a large holy fire surrounded by a platform big enough to fit a dragon. That's where Akira would go and Yuki and I when we came of age. Scattered within the general seating were small booths for nobility and other important people. We went to the one closest to the pit but Akira didn't follow us.I watched as my brother walked down to the pit where an elegant chair waited for them. They sat down, their ceremonial robes seeming to swallow them up.
Nobi tugged on my hand gently, making me realize I hadn't sat down yet. I sat down in a chair next to Yuki, letting Nobi let go of my hand so she could sit next to Noni. Soon enough, people began filing in from the crescent and making their way to open seats. The seats were more like long, circular benches that stretched around each tier, so people crowded in. All to get a look at Akira's dragon form.I noticed another family dressed in fancy robes make their way to a booth of their own nearby, two adults, a dragon about Akira's age and someone who looked like mine and Yuki's age.
The kid was really pretty, I found myself noting. Fluffy, white hair framed a young face and bright, blue eyes. I must've been staring too much because the kid turned and looked at me. But instead of being angry, they flashed a wide smile and waved. Flustered, I looked away, my ears burning. I heard Yuki giggle from beside me.
"Oh. Rin's got a crush..." she sang.
"Shut up," I grumbled, pushing her not-so-lightly.
"Children," Nobi said. "Behave. We are here for Akira. Present your best selves so as not to dishonor him."
"Yes, Nobi," we both mumbled, going quiet.
I looked back to Akira down below and caught their eye. They smiled, waving to me. I waved back enthusiastically, a smile on my face mirroring theirs. Their attention got pulled away, however, a tall woman with dark skin and long, curly hair that was piled high on her head walked across the stage to them. Gold ink swirled across her skin and seemed to move as if it were alive.
She was our high priestess, Ifema. I didn't know much about her except that she wasn't from our land. She came from across the sea, sent by the grand priesthood to bless our land. I didn't care about her status but I was always fascinated by her and how she conducted ceremonies. High Priestess Ifema suddenly turned to face the crowds, smiling. The dragons in the temple silenced themselves immediately.
"Welcome, everyone. Today, we are gathered to witness the coming of age of Kamihara Akira, descendent of Kamihara Aiku and Kamihara Hibiki. May the great god Ryūjin give Akira his blessings."
Akira stood up from their chair, looking calm and collected as usual. Ifema put a hand over her elegant robes and drew it away, her golden flame following.
"With this flame, I shall awaken your dragon. Are you ready?" she announced, directing the question at Akira.
They nodded firmly.
"Yes, I am ready."

Bratlesque with Artemis
16 October 11am
Tired of being a well behaved, balanced & mature adult (or cosplaying it for The Man?). It’s time to get down on the floor (or surface most suited to your mobility needs) & chuck the sexiest tantrum you’ve ever thrown. Why be chill when you can be surreal & unhinged? Come and be on your worst behaviour with Artemis Seven & make the audience beg for the brat.
We’ll go over some classic bratty moves, how the brat archetype can help you improvise & reinstate boundaries with an audience, and then learn a fun and deeply ridiculous group act- with a bonus performance opportunity* if you feel like trying it out on an audience!
This workshop is suitable for all levels & requires no previous dance or performance experience!
***performance opportunity***
We will be learning a group act to perform at Bangarang on the 28th October. You do not have to perform if you take the workshop, but the option is open if you want to! The act is designed to be personalised & easy to pick up quickly, so you can decide after the workshop how you feel, or just come to have fun & let off some steam.

You can paint your own face over the course of the workshop or choose to just watch/take notes if you desire. We’ll explore how you can utilise the make up that you already own.
However, Jazida recommends at a minimum to have foundation, contour/highlight, setting powder, white eyeliner/crayon, black liquid liner, eye shadows and blush, lipstick, eyelash glue, false eyelashes and glitter. If you want to try blocking your eyebrows, please bring a glue stick.

Tumblr media
He gets jealous of your friend
Characters: atsumu, sakusa, kuroo, tendou
Summary: your boyfriend feels a bit left out whenever your best friend comes into the picture
Tumblr media
』 ATSUMU
Probably the most obvious about his jealousy
Feels like every time your bestie shows up he’s second place :(
Doesn’t even try to hide it he complains to your face
Your friend definitely amps up the affection to annoy him
Atsumu huffed loudly as your best friend arrived at the park. He turned his back to them ready to flop into your lap when suddenly you were standing and running away from the picnic blanket.
“Y/N!!!!”
“B/F/N!!!!” You fell into a fit of giggles as the two of you collided in a hug. Leading them to the blanket, you sat between them and your boyfriend.
“Why dontcha hug me like that doll?” Atsumu whined as he pulled you closer to him while glaring at your friend.
You turned to him, eyebrow raised, “we live together tsumu, I hug you all the time.” You offered him a bite of the cookie in your hand, “and you could hug me like that, yet you don’t.” He accepted your cookie, pout still etched on his face.
While you were distracted by your phone, b/f/n sent atsumu a smug smile and picked up a strawberry. They poked you on the thigh, “hey, y/n,” you looked up at them curiously, “the strawberries are so sweet, open your mouth and I’ll feed you this one.” Smiling you leaned over and let them feed you the strawberry.
Atsumu was glaring holes into their head, “jeez b/f/n, don’t ya got yer own s/o to feed huh?”
You and your best friend let out a laugh at his blatant jealousy. “See y/n, I told you he was jealous of me, you owe me $20” Rolling your eyes you took out your wallet, slapping the money in their hands.
Turning to your gawking boyfriend, you sighed, “couldn’t you at least be subtle about it.” He sputtered out nonsense, face turning red, you waved him off. “And you,” you glared at you friend who was still laughing, “feeding me is basically cheating, we both know that was gonna set him off”
Your boyfriend draped his chin on your shoulder, “doll yer not playin fair” he whined. “Why would ya play wit my emotions like that”
Running your hand over his cheek you placed a kiss on the top of his head, “it’s funny to watch because you know b/f/n and I are only friends.” You tilt his chin up to place a chaste kiss on his lips, “you’re the one I’m dating dummy, I love you”
The grin that you love so much returned to his face as he kissed you again, “I love ya too, even though yer mean.” You rolled your eyes and flicked his forehead, your best friend made gagging noises from their side of the blanket.
』 Sakusa
The hardest to tell he’s jealous
Doesn’t want you to know, he thinks it’s embarrassing
Gets upset when you ignore him for your bff
Literally will deny it to the day he dies
You had been texting your best friend for the past hour and a half. There was drama going on in your friend group and the two of you were going from the group chat to sharing your opinions with each other. Normally this wouldn’t have been an issue, but unlike most Friday nights, your boyfriend was home.
Sakusa was sitting on the bed next to you, he had been silent ever since you started tapping constantly at your phone. MSBY practice had been cancelled and he had been looking forward to spending the day with you. Which he technically was, but not in the way he wanted.
His eyes left the show he had put on as you let out a gasp and the tapping increased in speed. He wanted to lay on your lap and have you run your hand through his curls, but he couldn’t be certain you would stop texting to indulge him. He let out a soft sigh, “are you and b/f/n still going?” You nodded without looking up at him. His lips moved into a slight pout as he turned back to the tv, “oh.”
He startled as you let out a sudden string of giggles. Tilting your head up at him in what felt like the first time you showed him your screen, “look what b/f/n just said, they’re so funny I love them.”
He starred blankly at your screen, “yeah, they’re hilarious.” Lips pursed he pointedly looked away from you, to the tv. Sakusa was incredibly annoyed that you had ignored him for so long only to speak to him when complimenting your best friend.
You texted your friend you were gonna dip for a bit. Turn your phone off you looked at the grumpy man next to you. “Omi what’s got your boxers in a bunch?”
“Me and my boxers are just fine y/n.”
“Omg omi, your pants are on fire!!” You snickered as he gave you a deadpan state.
He rolled his eyes at you and crossed his arms, “there’s nothing wrong, go back to your texting.”
That’s when it clicked for you, he was jealous of the attention you were giving to your friend. Cooing lightly, you reached for him, pulling him down on top of you. “I’m sorry for ignoring you baby, there’s no need to be jealous.”
He huffed and pulled your hand towards his hair, snuggling into you as you began playing with it, “‘m not jealous, that’s a stupid suggestion.”
You smiled down at your boyfriend knowing that you were absolutely right.
』 Kuroo
Another obvious one, but not as whiney as Atsumu
Tries to impress you to get your attention
Will embarrass you with his attempts to prove he’s better
Your friend doesn’t know if they should be amused or embarrassed
You and Kuroo had been invited out to watch your best friend play a gig at your local bar. They’re band had landed they’re first performance and you had been excited to support them.
Running up to the stage, you waved eagerly at you friend. They smiled and and reached a hand down to pull you up on the stage. You gave a friendly greeting to the other band mates before giving your friend a bear hug.
“B/f/n I’m so happy for you!!! This is sooo cool.” At this point you were gushing and singing their praises. Your friend matched your enthusiasm walking you around the stage and explaining the set up.
Your boyfriend huffed from the bottom of the stage as you and your friend walked back over. He reached for your hand to help you off and pull you back towards him. “Congrats on the gig b/f/n, can I have my s/o back now?”
Rolling their eyes they turned to you, “hey, cheer extra loud when we play your song.” They smiled as you nodded eagerly. “There now you can take your precious s/o,” b/f/n gave Kuroo a smug smile before heading back to their band mates.
“You know if you wanted a song I can serenade you at karaoke when their set is over.”
Eyes widening you ignored his suggestion before pulling Kuroo over to the table that had been reserved for you. Sure you loved him, but he couldn’t sing for shit.
The performance was going great, then the music changed and you squealed recognizing it as your favourite. Kuroo glanced over at you as you grinned and waved up at b/f/n. What was so great about them? So what they were in a band, you played this song enough he knew all the words. If you wanted it sung to you he could do it.
And do it he did.
You looked up at your boyfriend as he stood from his seat, “babe what are you doing?” The only response he gave you was a lazy smile before he started belting out the lyrics to your favourite song, terribly off pitch and loudly.
B/f/n stifled a laugh at the scene as you glared daggers at them and your boyfriend. Kuroo kept singing his heart out as you face planted into the table, praying the lights were dim enough that no one would be able to see you. After what felt like an eternity the song finished and Kuroo sat back down next to you.
“See, wasn’t that better than whatever b/f/n had going on up there. I’ll sing for you whenever you want baby.” He slung his arm over you shoulder looking very pleased with himself.
You peaked out at him from your arms, “Who lied to you and told you that you were the next Micheal Jackson?” He whined in protest as you continued, “Out of all the ways to process your jealousy you do this.” Waving a quick goodbye to your friend, you dragged Kuroo out of the bar and headed home.
』 Tendou
Not vocal about it but you can see it in his body language
Would hate for you to think that he wants to control who you hang out with
Once you realize he’ll reluctantly admit to it but feels bad
Just needs some reassurance
Tendou sighed as he watched your story again. It was of you and your best friend at the club for their birthday, an outing which you had excitedly rambled to him about for the past few days. He knows that he shouldn’t be bothered, the two of you have been friends for longer than he’s known you. But that doesn’t help the pit in his stomach seeing you dancing on them.
The sinking feeling hasn’t left him since your best friend had arrived at the door and whisked you away with little more than a quick acknowledgment. The both of you in coordinating outfits, telling him not to wait up.
You love him, he knows that, yet his heart squeezes terribly at every new addition to your story. He shook the thought from his mind and turned his phone off, dropping his head into his hands. He was being ridiculous, if you wanted to date your best friend you wouldn’t have moved in with him.
As he wallowed in self doubt, he missed the sound of the door opening as you slipped into your apartment quietly, to ensure you wouldn’t wake him if he was asleep. You were shocked to see your boyfriend on the couch gripping his hair. “‘Tori?” you approach him carefully, “what happened sweetheart?”
He tensed suddenly before looking up at you with a shaky smile, “hi love, how was the club?” He reached out and grabbed your hands.
You fixed him with a stern look, “satori, you can’t lie to me.” Hands still intertwined, you reached up to cup his cheek, stroking it with your thumb. “What’s going on in that brain of yours?”
Sighing he closed his eyes and leaned into your hand. He was silent for a moment before speaking softly, “it’s stupid,” you shook your head and smiled up at him, giving him the confidence to continue, “I dunno... I just- felt kinda upset seeing you have so much fun with b/f/n. You guys are just friends and you love me, I know that, but you always just look so happy with them and I don’t know if I make you feel like that.”
You looked at him for a minute before peppering kisses on his face, “I love you both but I would rather eat dirt than date that idiot, we’re so close they’re like a sibling to me.” He gave you a watery smile as you continued, “and you can ask b/f/n yourself if you don’t believe me, but you make me so happy. You’re literally my favourite person ever.”
He tackled you onto the couch with a hug, “you’re my favourite person ever too y/n!!”
You laughed, running your hands through his hair, “you wanna cuddle and watch a movie?” He nodded enthusiastically as you handed him the remote, placing a kiss on his hair.
Tumblr media
This is my first preference so hoping it’s okay. As someone who had an ex be jealous of my best friend I thought this would be fun to write.

Best Laid Plans
Several months ago, an anon asked me to write a piece in which the group tries to play matchmaker for Ruby and Penny. This is what that turned into.
Ruby liked Vacuo better than she'd thought she would. Sure, it was unbearably hot most days and a fair amount of the locals seemed rather disgruntled about having more refugees around, especially Atlesian ones,  but she'd take this over Atlas any day.
She was especially relived that she and her group had been allowed to enroll as students at Shade Academy rather than having their Huntsmen licenses renewed. They hadn't been at all ready for the position when General Ironwood had offered it to them, and while there was still a lot to worry about, everyone was glad to have some of the pressure taken off of them. Unfortunately, however, the lowered stress and extra free time had given them an opportunity to concern themselves with things that absolutely did not require their attention, such as Ruby's love life.
Two weeks ago, Ruby had made the horrible mistake of confiding in Yang about her crush on Penny, which had resulted in most of the rest of their friends knowing about it too. Most of them were alright about it, but Yang and Nora were absolutely hellbent on playing matchmaker, and they weren't taking no for an answer.
Every single time one of them caught Ruby alone, they'd plead with her for permission to set up a date so everyone wouldn't have to watch her 'pining' anymore, and no matter how many times she said she didn't want to burden Penny with her feelings, they persisted. Eventually she'd started trying to avoid them altogether, which was a lot easier with Nora than it was with Yang, considering they shared a room.
On their second Friday living at Shade Academy, also the second Friday since Ruby had confided in her sister, Yang found Ruby alone in the dorm and made what felt like her millionth plea of the week.
"For the last time," Ruby snapped, flopping down on her bed. "I don't want you to set up a date! It'll just make everything awkward."
She was trying to keep her cool, but honestly, this was starting to piss her off. This was none of Yang's business, or Nora's for that matter. She didn't need their input.
"Oh, come on, Ruby!" Yang groaned, her voice laced with exasperation. "You have to know she's into you!"
"Give me one good reason to believe she actually likes me back." Ruby retorted, rolling her eyes as Yang let out a dry laugh.
"I'll give you ten reasons," she said confidently. "You two are basically attached at the hip, she gets that little pouty face every time she gets told she can't pair with you for combat training, you literally share a bed-"
"Only because there weren't enough beds when we moved in!" Ruby quickly sat up, warmth rushing to her face.
"Yeah, but when Blake and I starting sharing, I asked Penny if she wanted my old bed and she just about cried." Yang replied. "Unless you want to sit here and argue that all of that is platonic, you know she likes you back. So why won't you just talk to her about it?"
"Look," Ruby sighed. "Even if you're right, I just don't want to give her anything else to worry about. She just lost her home, she's still getting used to being the Winter Maiden, and now she has all this human stuff to deal with. She needs my support right now, and I don't want to accidentally push her away."
Yang's expression softened at that, and she slowly crossed the room to sit down beside Ruby.
"I get that," she said quietly, suddenly much more sympathetic than frustrated. "And I know I'm being kind of pushy, but I don't want you to miss out. This could be your only chance for a while to actually go on dates and have fun with her."
Ruby let out another, heavier sigh and leaned back onto her hands, tilting her face toward the ceiling.
Yang was right. They might have a respite now, but Salem could show up any day. This chance to be students again wasn't going to last forever. They were getting to be kids one last time, and that would be over the moment Salem made herself known again. Then there would be no dates or time to worry about feelings, probably just regrets if she didn't do this now.
"What do I even say to her?" she asked quietly. "I've never liked someone like this before. What if I screw something up?"
"Just be honest with her." Yang put an arm around Ruby's shoulders and gave her a gentle squeeze. "Tell her how you feel, ask her if she wants to go out, and let Nora and I take care of the rest. We'll find a nice place for you to go, and I'll tell you everything I know about impressing girls."
She winked good-naturedly and released Ruby, who then took a deep breath and stood. She didn't feel even remotely prepared for this, but there was a decent chance it could be now or never.
"I'm gonna go see if I can find her." Ruby decided, steeling herself. She made her way toward the door, giving her sister a nervous grin over her shoulder as she left. "Wish me luck."
---------------------
Ruby found Penny an hour later in Shade's library, sitting at one of the tables with a pile of books. From the looks of it, she'd been here a while, possibly making her way through a series.
"Hey," Ruby said quietly as she reached Penny's table. "What are you reading?"
Penny glanced up, looking mildly startled.
"Oh, it's just a fantasy story," she replied sheepishly, lowering the book in her hands. "It's a bit silly, but I've never had time to just sit and read before. I'm finding it quite enjoyable!"
"That's good." Ruby smiled and took a seat across from Penny, clasping her hands anxiously in her lap. "Sorry if I'm interrupting you or anything, I just wanted to ask you something."
"Of course." Penny put her book down and leaned forward attentively.
"I was just wondering if, um..." Ruby squeezed her fingers, trying to steady her voice long enough to get the question out. "If you wanted to... go out with me sometime? Like, on a date? I-If not, it's totally cool, I just... y'know..."
Penny blinked at her slowly, and Ruby shrank back as much as the chair would allow her to.
"A date?" Penny inquired.
"Yeah," Ruby replied, her face burning. Dear God please let her know what a date is, she thought frantically. "I really like you, like more than just a friend. I've been wanting to tell you for a while, but I was scared of making you uncomfortable, but then I realized that with everything going on I might not get another chance for a while, and- Penny?"
Caught up in her rant, it had taken Ruby far to long to realize that Penny wasn't listening to her. Instead, she was just staring blankly, her expression completely unreadable.
"Are you okay?" Ruby leaned across the table and waved her hand in front of Penny's face. "Are you bluescreening?"
Back when she'd had a mechanical body, Penny had occasionally 'bluescreened' when struggling to process some new piece of information. She usually snapped out of it within a few minutes, so Ruby wasn't particularly concerned, but she had to admit she was surprised that Penny was still doing it even in a human body.
"Yes." Penny said suddenly, shaking herself a bit.
"I- what?"
"Yes, I will go on a date with you." Penny clarified, her face turning slightly pink. "I like you too, quite a lot."
"Really?" Ruby's shoulders sagged with relief, and she couldn't help the grin spreading across her face.
"Of course." Penny said with a little smile. "I would have said something much sooner if I had thought you might feel the same way."
"How could I not?" Ruby asked softly. "You're so sweet and beautiful and kind. It was kind of impossible not to fall in love with you."
Penny's blush intensified, and she looked away bashfully.
"You are all of those things too." she replied, her voice quiet and shy.
Ruby chuckled softly, then straightened herself and cleared her throat before either them could get any more flustered.
"So," she went on. "I was thinking maybe we could do dinner tomorrow around six? Or, well, Yang was thinking that, but I have no idea how to plan dates so I'm just listening to what she says."
"That sounds perfect." Penny said enthusiastically.
"Great," Ruby smiled and rose from her seat. "I'll let you get back to your reading. See you tomorrow."
Ruby turned to leave, barely hearing Penny's quiet "Goodnight," as she rushed out of the library. The moment the doors slammed shut behind her, she let out a loud, shaky laugh. She'd done it. She'd actually done it. She'd managed to land herself a date, and now all she had to do was survive it.
--------------------
Penny had to admit, she'd been surprised to hear that her best friend had a crush on her. Delighted, of course, but so very surprised. She'd been planning to keep her own feelings a secret forever, lest Ruby find them unusual or inappropriate, but that was no longer necessary. Ruby shared the same feelings, and apparently they were quite normal.
It was a relief to know that, but Penny couldn't say that all of her anxieties had been quelled. According to Ruby, the next step after confessing their feelings was going on a date together, a concept with which Penny was not particularly familiar. She had a basic idea of how it was supposed to work, but she wasn't sure of the correct way to behave or what she was supposed to say while they were out.
Penny had gone to Nora with these concerns, hoping for some friendly advice, and had been promptly and quite literally dragged into Team JNPR's dorm room for a pre-date pep talk.
"You really don't have all that much to worry about." Nora said as she worked on lacing up the back of Penny's dress. It was quite similar to one she'd worn to Beacon's dance; light green, knee-length, and very soft. She'd borrowed it from an upperclassman named Velvet, who she knew by association due to her team's friendship with Team RWBY.
"But what if I say something wrong?" Penny asked anxiously, running her fingers through her hair. She'd already brushed through it twice, but perhaps one more time couldn't hurt.
"What would you say wrong?" Nora inquired as she finished with the dress. "You two are already friends, so you don't have to deal with any of that 'getting to know each other' business. Just go and have fun. And make sure you laugh at all her jokes."
"All of them?" Penny echoed unenthusiastically. Her sense of humor was quite different from the majority of her friends, and she sometimes had trouble discerning whether something was a joke. How would she know what to laugh at?
"Unless they're offensive or something, but it's Ruby so I doubt that." Nora shrugged and grabbed a bit of Penny's hair, gently fluffing it out. "Think you're ready?"
"Maybe?" Penny replied. "Do I look presentable?"
"You're gorgeous, Pebbles." Nora turned Penny around so they were face to face, placing two firm, comforting hands on her friend's shoulders. "Everything's gonna be fine, okay? You've gone places with Ruby hundreds of times; just act how you normally would."
"Okay." Penny nodded. She could do that.
----------------
The restaurant Penny had been invited to was a small café hardly a stone's throw from Shade's campus. From what Penny could tell, it seemed to be primarily frequented by the school's students, as the majority of the people sitting in the outdoor area were wearing school uniforms.
Of the three that were not, one was Ruby, clad in a black top and bright red skirt that just barely reached her knees. She spotted Penny from her table near the café's front window and waved her over with a shy smile.
"Hey," she greeted softly as Penny approached. "You look really nice."
"As do you." Penny replied politely, sincerely hoping that the grin on her face didn't look too silly. She stood there awkwardly for a moment before taking a seat, leaning forward so their table's umbrella could better protect her fair skin from the sun.
For a good two minutes, they sat there in silence, Ruby seemingly avoiding eye contact and Penny quietly fidgeting while she tried to think of something to say.
"This place is pretty cool, right?" Ruby offered at last, glancing in Penny's direction.
"I think it's quite hot, actually." Penny replied. Ruby let out a soft chuckle, and she quickly realized her mistake. "Oh! You meant- yes, it's very cool."
Penny briefly averted her gaze as her face grew warm, but she was saved from any further embarrassment by the arrival of a tired-looking waitress.
"Have you two decided on anything?" she asked, placing two glasses of water down on the table. As she did so, she fixed Penny with the same vaguely suspicious look every Atlesian refugee had been receiving from the locals.
It wasn't entirely uncalled for, considering everything her nation had done to theirs, but it made her uncomfortable nonetheless.
"Um..." Penny glanced down at the menu, eager to get the waitress's eyes off of her. Impulsively, she ordered the first thing she saw. "The fried scorpion, please."
"I'll have the same." Ruby said immediately.
"Interesting choice." The waitress remarked as she took their menus. 'For a couple of outsiders' was implied.
Penny watched her walk away, mildly dreading the sight of what she would return with.
"What the hell did we just order?" Ruby mumbled, so softly that Penny couldn't be entirely certain the words were for her.
"It will likely be fine," she answered anyway. "Scorpion is a common dish here."
"Yeah, I guess." Ruby replied, once again avoiding eye contact. Penny's brow furrowed and she leaned a bit closer to her date over the table.
Ruby seemed remarkably uncomfortable, wringing her hands and glancing about as if searching for a way out of the situation. Did she not want to be here? Had Penny done something wrong?
If so, she hadn't the slightest clue what her mistake could have been, but relationships were so complicated that she wouldn't be surprised if she'd broken some unspoken rule. Perhaps she'd missed a joke she was supposed to laugh at, or-
"Penny?"
Penny was jolted out of her thoughts, only just realizing that Ruby was waving a hand in front of her face. She blinked hard, mildly startled.
"Are you okay?" Ruby asked gently.
"Yes," Penny said with a quick nod. "Yes, I'm fine."
"You've got to stop bluescreening on me." Ruby gave her a small, kind smile. "What were you trying to figure out?"
Penny hesitated briefly. She almost didn't want to say it for fear that she might be right. Yet again, if she had somehow messed up the date, she wanted to know what she'd done wrong.
"It's just..." she began eventually. "You seem as if you don't want to be here. I was wondering if maybe I did something wrong? Or if you regret asking me out?"
"Of course not!" Ruby's eyes widened in mild alarm. "What made you think that?"
"You just seem so uncomfortable." For emphasis, Penny mimicked the hand-wringing motion Ruby had been doing. "I was worried you thought this was a mistake."
"God, no," Ruby reached across the table and gently took Penny's hands in her own. "You didn't do anything wrong, Penny. Asking you out was not a mistake."
She brushed her thumbs along the backs of Penny's hands; an intimate gesture, if Penny remembered correctly.
"I think letting someone else plan this for us might have been a mistake, though." Ruby admitted. "I don't think I'm really a dinner date person."
"What do you mean?" Penny inquired.
"I mean this all feels a little... stuffy, I guess." Ruby shrugged. "I don't like sitting here in formalwear trying to make awkward conversation with a bunch of other people around. This doesn't feel like us, y'know?"
"I think I understand." Penny nodded slowly. She had to admit, this wouldn't have been her first choice of venue either. "What do you think would feel like us?"
"Do you remember that night with the fireflies?" Ruby asked. Penny nodded again, a small smile spreading across her face. "That felt like us. It was just you and me having fun, enjoying nature and stuff."
"That was a very special night," Penny agreed fondly. "But I do not believe we would be able to recreate it here. As far as I know, no species of a firefly is native to Vacuo."
"It doesn't have to be exactly the same." Ruby seemed thoughtful for a moment, quietly drumming her fingers on the table. "What if we went up on the roof of Shade's dorms? We could be alone and just enjoy each other's company."
"I like the sound of that." Penny almost stood up, but suddenly remembered that they'd already ordered. Would it be considered rude to leave?
"It's alright," Ruby seemed to read Penny's mind as she rose from her seat. "I don't think it counts as dining and dashing if we haven't gotten our food yet."
Penny supposed that made sense. She hesitated a moment longer before standing up, glad that she wouldn't have to see that waitress again. Ruby extended her arm, and Penny linked it with her own as they began walking away from the restaurant. As soon as they'd cleared the tables, Ruby visibly relaxed.
"This already feels better," she remarked.
"It does." Penny agreed. They walked together in silence for a few minutes, Penny's face growing warm as an unfamiliar sensation spread throughout her body.
Suddenly overtaken with boldness, Penny leaned over and pressed her lips to Ruby's cheek, holding them there for a moment before slowly pulling away. Ruby's eyes widened in surprise, but she didn't seem at all bothered.
"Was that... okay?"
"It was more than okay," Ruby replied, glancing over at Penny with a smile. "That was perfect."
"It seems our night has been salvaged." Penny smiled back at her, faltering briefly as Ruby rested her head on her shoulder.
"Yeah," she said, her warm breath tickling the skin of Penny's neck. "It has."

Can you do the brothers reaction (and if it's ok the dateables + Luke as well) to MC being a pro at skateboarding?Just curious that's all >v<
My knowledge of skateboarding extends to the Tony Hawks Pro Skater games and Sk∞ so this will be interesting. Will be breaking this up into two parts and get to the dateables at a later time.
Brothers react to Skateboarding Pro! Mc
Lucifer
When Lucifer looks through the window of the student council office at RAD and sees MC on their skateboard going at a breakneck pace to make it to classes on time, his isn't all that pleased
This demon is the slightest bit old school and may not see the sport as being the most refined
Lucifer isn't going to say anything about it though and is just glad that they can make it to RAD in a more timely manner when the MC inevitably sleeps in
After a bit of time and repeated exposure to MC skating, Lucifer will start to develop a bit of a begrudge respect for it and the MC's skills
Not only was MC able to showcase expert balance to be able to flip the board midair and land solidly, they made it all look so effortlessly
Soon enough, Lucifer will understand that this is something the MC takes pride in and who was he to deny them of his favorite sin
Just don't ride it in the Demon Lord's Castle...
Mammon
When MC first came to the Devildom for the exchange program, they had a strange carrier case strapped to their back and Mammon was instantly interested in seeing if what was inside had any potential value
When he does manage to steal the MC's board, he is a bit disappointed to see that it was just some beat-up piece of wood with wheels
He knows a bit more about human culture than some of his brothers just through his exposure when going to the human world to make deals with witches, but didn't really get exposed to skateboarding
When Mammon is caught by the MC and questioned about why they have their board, he is kind of quick to go on the defense claiming he doesn't know why they are lugging around something so useless anyway
Mammon is then dragged to the HoL's courtyard and shown exactly what the board is for. The jumps were so cool! The rail riding was something else and don't get him started on how fast they were able to go
Being a bit of an opportunist, Mammon will be quick to try to get MC to agree to do some live demos and performances for small fees. And may try it out for himself
Satan
Satan is very interested in all the healed scars that liters MC's forearms and knees and lightly inquiries about them one day while they are walking into town
When MC says they are from skateboarding, Satan will nod his head with his hand on his chin in thought
Soon enough, he will start approaching MC with diagrams of skating moves and physics theories to see if they are able to pull off more and more advanced moves
His interest is almost flattering but also super intimidating because he watched the MC with unwavering focus and a serious look on his face while he tries to mentally catalog the MC's scope of talent like a cat what refuses to blink when staring at you
He is trying to show his support of the MC by research ways that they can possibly improve upon tricks they already know or showing them more obscure moves he found in weirdly niche books at the library
It comes off a bit strong
In a weird, roundabout way, he becomes more knowledgeable about skateboarding than the MC and he hasn't even stepped onto the board before
Asmodeus
Asmo was waiting to meet MC outside of this cute little cafe so that they can take Devilgram pictures of this new limited addition seasonal drink when he sees MC speeding down the street on a skateboard
He was slightly taken aback just because he wasn't expecting it but is entertained by watching them weave their way through all the demons milling about with such ease and grace
Skateboarding wouldn't be Asmo's sport of choice, if there is one to begin with, but he can see beauty in just about anything and MC kind of made his heart skip a beat there when they did a quick stop right in front of him and gave him a lazy smirk
Asmo probably wouldn't ask to see the MC do many tricks just because he feels like he can't take good pictures without being in the pathway and getting ran over BUT he is totally into the skater fashion
It isn't to his usually taste but Asmo would make sure that MC looked absolutely stunning in whatever he picks out for them to skate in
Breathable, lightweight, and 1000 times better than early 2000s fashion. You're welcome, MC
Beelzebub
Beel was just walking back to HoL after going to the local market to pick up some snack for the movie night everybody was having and sampling everything when he sees MC practicing some kick flips in the courtyard
He stands to the side for a bit, not wanting to get in the way, but immediately drops all of the food when he sees MC take a bit of a nasty tumble and has them in his arms and fretting in a heartbeat
After being assured that they are indeed okay, Beel will relax a bit and ask what they were doing
Beel loves sports and can understand the appeal. He can't really tell how talented MC is, just because he doesn't have a frame of reference, but they seem to be having fun and don't fall all that often
He is more than happy to be MC's personal cheerleader and watches them pull of more and more complicated tricks
He doesn't really get used to the MC's occasional blunders and will always seem to materialize at their side ready with some bandages and lollipops he keeps in his pocket, just in case
The lollipops have totally already been opened and licked on
Belphegor
Belphie was laying in the grass of the courtyard of RAD, waiting for MC to show up for their regularly scheduled school nap during lunch, when he hears the sound of wheels on the pavement approaching
He slowly rolls himself over enough to see what is going on, when he catches sight of MC dismounting the board and walking over to him
Belphie used to be obsessed with human culture but was understandablely behind with his knowledge on more recent trends so his curiosity is slightly peaked
He doesn't bother asking about it in the moment though because he has more important things to do, such as using his favorite pillow
It is only after MC keeps showing up to the meeting spot that Belphie finally caves and asks about it
He appears to be interested, if his eyes not looking as droopy was anything to go by, so MC will have to take the incentive and just show him a few tricks and flips
Belphie isn't much for physical activities so he isn't the most invested in understanding the sport, but he does try to show his support by asking you to show him a few of your favorite moves
He even gets onto the board for a few seconds to try to see what the appeal was, but isn't that thrilled when he almost immediately falls off of it and decides it isn't worth the effort

Rec List
Hey. It’s me. Sunlit Garden on AO3. If you would like to find a bughead fic, beta, be long-term groomed with positive feedback and helpfulness, then have your self-confidence chipped away, be isolated from other support systems, be negged, insulted, and emotionally harassed/toyed with to output to her idea of perfection -- or find someone who did this to others and will most likely weasel their way into doing it again -- I recommend none other than jandjsalmon, the gal who runs theblueandgoldoffice - a handy fic-finding website.
Tumblr media
I made a prior post about my personal experience but apparently not everyone knew it was her because I didn’t name her specifically. Hopefully, this is the last post I’ll ever make about her. A lot of wonderful people reached out with similar experiences or sympathy but I’ve also seen some continue to interact with her or rec her as someone to follow. Now, I’m putting it in the tags. Her name is out there. If I see her on rec lists, at least I know the info is out there that she abused me and others and whoever posted didn’t want to deal with having to deal with her bullshit of her harassing them or they think I’m a liar. I have nothing to lose in this fandom or to gain by outing her. I’m doing it because I don’t want her to be introduced to new waves of authors/readers/people will trust her without protecting themselves or doing something to protect others. Unfortunately, me and the victims I talked to did not feel comfortable sharing how much she hurt us with each other until she’d done a fair amount of damage, and we were all trying to make it work with her until we hit a breaking point.
As a reminder... this is just a potential scenario based on past experience.
If you do become mutuals, and she thinks you have an ounce of fandom fame or MIGHT post things she likes if she bugs you enough, she might make you aesthetics, reblog, comment, buddy up to your friends to get closer to you, find out and exploit your insecurities or mental illness, notably withdraw support to prove a point if you like something she doesn’t or even show love for another person who doesn’t love her, keep records of your convos, show them to other people, vague post about you (sometimes even going so far as to message you without you even asking to make sure you know ‘oh it wasn’t about you’ to rub salt in that wound), let her husband talk shit about and to you even when on good terms with her, and try to get involved in your personal life to be your (only) best friend and support system... only to tell you you are nothing without her, people rely on her for recs and she can turn the tides on fandom favorites, you should not write original works because original romance is “disgusting” YA is “immature” and no one likes your work and your mind is too fucked up to be productive without her. No one will love you or have time for you like her.
She will insist you include scenes even if you don’t want them there, then try to claim she helped write your fic in the comments of it when all she did was tell you to add something you already wrote and deleted back in, though she did comment on the doc and talk through your million ideas and pick her favorite OF YOUR OWN IDEAS and help with grammar. She will also tell you at least one of your fics is disgusting and berate you to the point of not wanting to post it, especially if it shows Betty even slightly interested in someone besides Jughead at some point in her life, claiming “that’s not her!” but OOC or Jughead with past/current partners is no problem... and she will be very apologetic to have to tell you and make you feel bad, but brag in DMs of her friends that she “made you change your mind” and “taught you how to think” if you eventually cave and adjust something. Conversations become drags where you agree with what she says just to avoid confrontations and meltdowns sometimes.
If you talk to her and try to rebuild your friendship or set boundaries, she will either lash out or apologize and be good for a few days until she can find a reason to turn on you again. When you distance yourself for protection or make new friends, she will harass you in DMs asking why you unfollowed (even if it’s a tumblr glitch) or followed so and so, why you did or didn’t like something, tell you how awful everyone except her is, and try to get you to talk shit about your own friends when you know she’s talking shit about you, too.
Oh and if you compliment her on something you’re considered good at that she’s insecure about (prompted or unprompted), be prepared to be called a fake liar and a judgmental bitch in general for having an opinion -- yes, even if it’s positive, so imagine how fun it was to disagree on something neither of us even made.
She is not a neutral party when it comes to abuse and harassments either. Despite being very anti-cheating, she stoutly defends the Sprouse brothers despite multiple women and outlets coming forward claiming they cheated on or abused their partners, claiming the sources are “crazy” or “jealous” or “unprofessional.” I have some pretty ironic in retrospect screenshots someone sent me of some of her rants but I won’t post them publicly here. What Jandy told me of her former victims was that they blocked her for no reason. She was nothing but supportive of them and they got too big for their britches and had other friends and abandoned her. I’m sure she says similar if not worse things about me for calling her out and cutting her off.
So yeah, it will be uncomfortable to unfollow, ghost, and/or block her. It might even be inconvenient because of the service she provides to this fandom. But please keep in mind that even the slight fear/dread of her shadow-banning or harassing you is a sign that she’s affected you, too.
If you really miss that one extra comment per chapter, hit me up. I’ve got a lot going on but I’ll make an exception for people who need that extra support as long as I can. For additional support, please see local and online organizations to talk to a professional or volunteer trained to help with emotional abuse, toxicity, depressive, or anxious thoughts like therealdepressionproject. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

Quarantine memories fic hoarding craze for @thenaluarchive
— thank you to @phoenix-before-the-flame for helping jump start this fic 💜
It was Natsu Dragneel’s absolute favorite time of the day. 1 pm for him, and 8 am for Lucy, his… well, right now they were just online friends separated by distance and priorities. But judging by how he talked about her to friends, you’d never know it. They’d met three years ago on Twitch through a random chat stream about an anime series, and he continued following Lucy on her writing streams. Three years ago, she was a sophomore in college while he was in his senior year. Lucy later moved on to a graduate program, but they stayed in touch, growing close. To Natsu, she wasn’t just some girl online but a real friend he cared very much about. His friends called Lucy his online girlfriend. Pfft. He wished he could call her that.
Roughly two thousand miles away, Lucy Heartfilia was hating life. Her curtains were drawn, and a blanket was pulled over her head to drown out the light. The air conditioner was down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, working against the low-grade fever and pounding migraine born yesterday. Migraines… the bane of her otherwise healthy existence. It was her fault after all, the temptation of a chocolate dessert knowing full well it was one of her triggers brought on said migraine and all she could do was bear it.
Why?
“Stupid hoarders!” Lucy groaned to herself.
As if dealing with a pandemic wasn’t bad enough, people’s selfish reactions to it were worse. A government agency had claimed that acetaminophen products could help with the virus’s symptoms, so what did people do? Panic buying anything and everything they could find containing that drug! The problem for people like Lucy, is the one over the counter medication that helped with her migraines was Excedrine… an acetaminophen product! And she’d just. run. out.
Lucy’s phone rang and she knew exactly who it could be based on the time. So, she clicked the answer button without opening her eyes.
“Hey, Natsu,” she groaned out.
“Morning Lucy! Oh geez, you sound like a frog.”
“Thanks,” she retorted sarcastically. “I’ve got a migraine.”
“Ouch.” Natsu genuinely flinched. He rarely got headaches, but this wasn’t the first time he’d talked to Lucy when she was going through one, so he knew what she was going through. “The meds aren’t helping?”
Lucy sighed. “I ran out. And did you see the news about all the hoarding? Every store here is bought out. It… sucks.”
“I could check around here and send you any I find,” he offered.
“Aww, that’s sweet of you Natsu, but I don’t wanna trouble you.”
“Pfft. Nonsense. I’m sure you’d do the same for me.”
“Thanks, Natsu. I appreciate it.” Lucy smiled through the pain. There’s a good reason her feelings for the man had grown over the years. His sweet and caring, yet fun and goofy, positive personality was an easy drug to get hooked to.
“Anyway, I gotta get back to work.” Natsu whined. “Good morning again, stay hydrated, and I’ll check on you again when I’m finished for the day, okay Lucy? Get some rest.”
“Have a good day at work Natsu.”
“Will now, after hearing your voice. Talk to you later Luce.”
She giggled softly. “Bye, Natsu.”
Lucy shifted under her blanket as she clicked off the phone to lie on her back. His sexy voice did wonders for her mood despite the pain still ravaging it. Now all she had to do was drag herself out of bed to eat something and drink water. She never had an appetite when she got these migraines, but it was a necessary fuel to fight it. All Lucy had left were extra strength Tylenol, so she could only hope it would at least take the edge off until the migraine ran its course.
Like so many others, this pandemic had really taken a toll on Lucy’s psyche. It’s not as if she went out a lot before it took hold, but just the fact it made going out dangerous brought different emotions to the situation. School had moved online which sucked all its own, she missed casually hanging out with friends on campus, and simply longed for the freedom of leaving her apartment as she pleased. But she understood the precautions of a quarantine. Frankly, she agreed with the city’s efforts to keep them as safe as possible no matter how many grumbled about it. Did it make it easier? No. But it was a necessary evil.
They weren’t completely trapped, could shop for necessities, visit family or friends, just encouraged to limit such gatherings as a safety precaution. If you went out, wear a mask, and just don’t stand too close to other people. Well, unless Lucy knew the person, why would she want strangers in her personal bubble anyway? And the mask thing? Have you ever been out shopping, and someone just sneezes without covering their mouth? Yeah— seriously, would it kill people to use one?! Why were people so selfish during times like this? Not everyone, but too many. Just like with all the hoarding frenzies that swept through cities, it was frustrating and— “Ugh…” being in a pain-driven bad mood was sure bringing her down today.
But despite all the external frustrations, the feelings of isolation from being in a quarantine for months were probably the most mentally exhausting part. It was lonely being so far away from home during a pandemic. Lucy’s been in college for five years and while she’s made friends in the new city, she was starting to crave comfort instead of an empty apartment. Her life online was one of the few things that made her happy, like Natsu’s daily calls, and kept her sane.
Natsu… her face heated up every time she thought about the man. They didn’t have a lot of hobbies in common, but he was always so supportive and made her laugh like no other could. Where they lacked in commonality, was made up in ease of conversation. It hadn’t taken very long for their online chats to feel more like an old friend and less like a faceless stranger. Over the years they’d talked about meeting in person one day after she finished school. It also helped that he was from a city not too far from where she came from, so if she chose to move back it would be convenient. But she also loved the new city she called home. Oh well, Lucy sighed. It was a decision still a couple of years away to make.
The next morning, Lucy woke up to find her migraine had finally given up. She could still feel the little bastard hiding, simmering somewhere ready to strike, but if it stayed mellow, it was something she could tolerate. Throughout the day, Lucy wasted no time in catching up on the homework she couldn’t finish the day before and making sure to stay hydrated with food in her stomach.
Lucy’s phone rang around 2pm.
“Hi Natsu, how was work?”
“Same ole, same ole,” he chuckled. “And how are you? Still feeling, okay?”
“Yeah, it hasn’t come back.”
“That’s great!”
Lucy could hear a lot of background noise, so she asked about it. “Oh, you’re not home yet?”
“Nah, and the commuters are being extra noisy today,” he responded benignly. “Anyway, tonight I won’t have time to talk cause I got a project due for work I need to finish.”
“Oh, that’s okay. Yeah, I’m still catching up from yesterday too and Levy’s dropping by for dinner.”
They chat for a few minutes about their day as Natsu waited for transportation. Lucy knew he used the subway to and from work, but today it sounded a little different, noisier and she swore there were engines instead of the normal train sounds. Maybe it was static. Finally, Lucy caught the muffled words now boarding.
“Shucks, time for me to go,” Natsu cut through. “Sweet dreams Lucy! I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Good night, Natsu!”
Lucy spent the afternoon relaxing online, chatting with friends and gaming. Her friend Levy McGarden later dropped by with take-out food for dinner and the two women caught up on random topics while movies droned on the television. They were both in grad school, so during the semester there wasn’t a lot of time to hang out, but they made do. Lucy was also doing a paid internship at a local magazine 4 days out of the week as part of her master’s program. She really enjoyed working there under one of the senior editors. He made it a fun learning experience.
Life was almost perfect except for the background isolation of the pandemic. Lucy was glad she wasn’t one of the individuals affected by jobs cuts, but it still got under her skin to feel trapped in a way. It was nice with her friend over... ‘Maybe I should see if Levy wants to become roommates?’ She wondered as she drifted off to sleep. The apartment would sure feel a lot less empty.
A knock at the door roused Lucy from her sleep. She blinked and yawned, looking at the alarm clock and that said 9 am the next morning. ‘Natsu didn’t call,’ she thought how odd. Maybe he slept in after working late.
Lucy dragged herself out of bed, throwing on a robe to answer the front door. “Gimme a sec,” she called out as she neared it.
“UPS delivery, ma’am.” The male voice responded.
‘UPS?’ Lucy grew confused. She didn’t remember ordering anything through them, but maybe she’d forgotten?
She peaked out of the peep hole, but all she could see was the box being held up. Okay a little weird, but some of the delivery people did that to show they were legitimate service people. Lucy slowly opened the door but kept the chain lock on while peering through the gap. But what she saw next brought on instant tears.
“H-How?” Her voice stammered out as her fingers quickly undid the lock and opened the door wide.
There Natsu stood holding a small brown box, dressed in a uniform of sorts, with a mask hanging under his chin, and wearing a goofy grin.
Lucy snorted a laugh as her eyes crinkled in happiness. “Is that a Halloween costume?”
“Yeah,” his smile widened, and hand scratched his head. “Surprise delivery,” Natsu held out the box, “for Lucy Heartfilia.”
“What is it?” She asked as she took it from him.
“Oh, I um found you Excedrine.”
Lucy opened the box to find 4 bottles. “You certainly did,” she laughed. “But why’d you bring it yourself?”
“It was quicker than the mail and… I hoped…” Natsu’s mannerism grew sheepish and tentative, “it was about time we finally met in person?”
Her face softened with a smile. “It truly is.” Lucy gestured into the apartment. “Please, make yourself at home.”

a/n: another re-write from a previous fandom. :)
“No,” you glared at your friend, crossing your arms.
“But Y/N! I can’t go without you,” MacKenzie whined.
“I won’t tell.”
“It’s not that, Y/N. I need you there.” she pouted. “You’re my moral support.”
“I support you morally… from here,” you sighed, resolve already breaking.
“Please?” she begged, gripping your arm dramatically.
“I hate you,” you hissed and she jumped up and down, squealing.
You only sighed in response, but that didn’t deter MacKenzie. She jumped into action, pulling out clothes for you to review. Most of her clothes left little to the imagination and you felt naked just looking at them.
“This would look amazing on you.”
She held up a black dress with a belt that was shaped like a bow with diamonds on it. The hem was high and the neckline low.
“There’s no way I’m wearing that.”
“Come on, Y/N. Live a little. Maybe a certain Mr. Kim will be there,” she wiggled her eyebrows.
Your friend was well aware of your weakness for Seokjin. You had several classes with the tall boy, and you guys talked often, but weren’t exactly friends. You had a huge crush on him though. Low blow to use them as bait. You grabbed the dress and put it on in the bathroom. You looked in the mirror, looking like a different person entirely. You threw on a light jacket so the outfit wasn’t quite as revealing.
“You look hot,” MacKenzie sing-songed.
“So do you, babe.”
You both split an uber to take you to the party, not wanting to mess with driving in the event that you did end up drinking and she no longer had a designated driver. The closer you got to the party, the more you shook with nerves.
“This is going to be so much fun!” MacKenzie giggled.
You nodded, already wishing you’d stayed home. The uber dropped you off and you could hear the music thumping already. You gulped, pulling your jacket tighter around you.
“MacKenzie and her little wallflower. You made it,” Wonho, who was throwing the party, greeted with a grin.
You waved shyly, surveying your surroundings, where people seemed to have grouped off in cliques. Athletic people were in the kitchen drinking. The artsy crowd were over by the couch, giggling amongst themselves. The “bad” boys were by the TV chatting. Some stragglers danced. You saw Jimin, Taehyung, Namjoon, and Hoseok off on their own, and you went to talk to them, following MacKenzie.
“Hey Kenzie, hey Y/N,” they greeted.
You smiled and waved, “hi guys.”
You guys talked for a while (you mostly listened) before you wandered off to get some water. You left your jacket on the chair because the house was getting pretty hot, and you figured no one would pay attention to you without MacKenzie.
“Wow, y/n/ Looking good.” Gi-oh, the local campus fuckboy, slurred as he leaned on you with one arm.
“Thanks…” you said quietly, trying to wiggle out of his grip.
“Where have you been hiding that banging body baby?” he drawled on, one hand drifting to your backside and giving it a squeeze.
“Gi-oh, don’t,” you said, trying again to move away from him but his hand gripped your arm, pulling you in.
“Come on, Y/N. You didn’t dress up like that to be ignored,” Gi-oh argued.
“Stop, please,” you tried yanking your arm free.
“She said no, Gi-oh,” you heard a deep, angry voice behind you.
You turned around, coming face-to-face with Seokjin.
“Back off, freak. Y/N and I are just having a little fun,” Gi-oh rolled his eyes.
“Are you having fun, Y/N?” Jin asked.
“No,” you said quietly.
“Leave her alone. No means no,” Jin growled.
“Fine, you can have her ugly ass. Y/N don’t come crying to me when this bites you in the ass,” Gi-oh huffed, storming away.
“You okay?” Seokjin asked you.
“I’m fine…” you looked at the ground.
“Do you want to get some air? You look flushed.”
“After what happened with Gi-oh I don’t want to be alone out there in the dark,” you kicked at the floor with your shoe, avoiding eye contact.
“Do you want me to come with you?” Jin offered.
You looked up at him nervously and nodded slightly.
“If you wouldn’t mind?” you asked.
He nodded, following you out the door and down the driveway.
“Thank you for coming with me,” you nearly whispered, looking down at the ground.
Jin was hot and you were super nervous to be alone with him outside of classes, yet his presence made you feel safe, like nothing and no one could hurt you.
“No problem,” he smiled reassuringly.
You both walked in silence, and you kept glancing over at Jin nervously, feeling more awkward by the second. Jin was a man of few words, unless he was angry, so he wasn’t likely to start a conversation. You normally thrived in silence. Comfortable silence. This was awkward silence. It was driving you insane.
“Sorry you’re missing out on the party because of me.”
“I didn’t want to be there anyway,” he shrugged with a light chuckle.
“Why’d you come then?” you asked.
“Namjoon and Hoseok,” he explained.
“Your friends dragged you along too,” you smiled.
“Seems to be a recurring theme,” he glanced at you, the corner of his mouth twisting up.
You shivered as a chilly breeze flew past, cursing yourself internally for leaving your jacket at the party. Jin looked at you for a moment before shrugging his jacket off and wrapping it around your shoulders.
“Won’t you get cold?” you asked.
“I’ll be fine. Can’t let a pretty lady freeze to death, now can I?” his eyes twinkled.
Your cheeks burned hot and you hid your face but you were sure Jin could tell from the glow of the street lamps but he didn’t say anything. You didn’t miss the smirk that played on his lips though.
“I...thank you.” you managed to say quietly.
“Just callin’ it as I see it, princess,” Jin chuckled.
You hadn’t noticed you’d been walking long enough to be almost to the end of the Northside. You slowed down, looking around. The beautiful dark sky had lost its pretty diamond stars magical glow and storm clouds had replaced them.
“Where are we?” you asked.
“Edge of town, didn’t notice we’d gone this far,” Jin answered.
The first drop of rain fell right on Jin’s forehead, and it started sprinkling, slowly turning into a heavier rain.
“Fuck, we’d better get inside somewhere,” Jin said, glancing around at all the closed signs on businesses.
“How far away are we from the party?” you asked.
“Like, 6 miles.”
“We’re gonna get soaked,” you frowned.
“My place is only a half mile from here,” he shrugged.
“Your place? You live alone?” you asked.
Jin nodded and the rain started pouring.
“Lead the way!” you shouted over the drumming of the water on the pavement.
He took off running, grabbing your hand and pulling you along with him so you didn’t fall behind with your much shorter legs. You struggled to keep up as he led you to his apartment complex and unlocked the door to his unit, ushering you inside. You stood by the door, trying to squeeze the water out of your hair. Jin shook his head like a wet dog. You froze, not sure what to do, rocking back and forth on your feet.
“Do you want some water? Maybe some dry clothes?” Jin offered, gesturing to your soaked dress.
“Would you mind? I’m kind of cold,” you let out a nervous giggle.
“Sure.” he disappeared into the bedroom, re-emerging in dry clothes, holding out a flannel shirt and some shorts for you.
“I think the shorts might be too big but the shirt is pretty long, so…” he trailed off.
“Thank you,” you took the clothes and went to the bathroom to change.
You stripped off your wet dress and pulled Jin’s shirt onto your body. It was almost as long as the dress. Your hair fell in damp waves after you’d rung it out and brushed through it. You cleaned up some of your running makeup and tried on the shorts, but they fell right off and you didn’t have a hair tie to make them stay. You hung your dress over the shower rod to dry then turned to look at yourself in the mirror and you felt kind of… sexy. Standing there in Jin’s shirt covering your body until mid-thigh, you looked hot. You walked out of the bathroom, immediately feeling less confident until you saw Jin’s split second double take. You coughed nervously and looked down.
“The shorts were too big,” you explained, handing them back.
“Okay,” he said quietly, his eyes raking up and down your body before snapping out of it and clearing his throat.
“So… what now?” you asked.
“It’s still pouring so I guess wait out the storm here?” he asked.
“Sure.” you smiled.
“Ummm… do you want to play a game or watch a movie or something?” he asked.
“We can play a game.” you smiled, sitting down and making sure you were covered up.
“Never have I ever or truth or dare?” he smirked.
“Ummm.. never have I ever,” you decided.
“Drinking version?” he lifted an eyebrow.
“Not in your best interest,” you laughed.
“Alright then, hold up your fingers,” he instructed.
You held up both hands, showing all ten fingers.
“Never have I ever read a fashion magazine.” Seokjin started.
You put one finger down.
“Never have I ever joined a frat,” you grinned, watching him frown before putting his finger down.
“Never have I ever read a romance novel,” he smirked.
You giggled and put your finger down.
“Never have I ever played beer pong,” you shot back.
Jin put down a finger, then thought for a moment.
“Never have I ever shaved my legs,” he laughed.
You rolled your eyes with a smile and put a finger down.
“Never have I ever been in a fight,” you said.
Jin put his finger down.
“Never have I ever had sex with a guy,” he grinned.
You sat there awkwardly.
“Wait, are you into girls?” he asked.
You shook your head, avoiding eye contact.
“You’re a virgin?” he gaped.
You looked down and nodded.
“That’s insane. Is it a personal choice?” he asked.
“Kind of? I haven’t met anyone I want to have sex with that feels the same,” you explained.
“Who in their right mind would pass up that opportunity?” he shook his head.
You looked away and giggled.
“Never have I ever kissed someone,” you said, keeping the game going.
“WHAT? No one has kissed you?! Y/N this is a travesty!” he squawked.
“Volunteering as tribute?” you joked.
“Damn straight I am.”
“Wait, what?” your eyes bugged out.
“I’d gladly kiss you,” he clarified.
“Really?” you tried to hide the hope in your voice.
Your stomach was in knots, butterflies wreaking havoc when he said, “yes.”
“Okay,” you barely whispered.
Jin scooted closer to you, glancing from your eyes to your lips as the anticipation increased. You were nothing but nerves as he cupped your face in both of his large hands, calloused fingers gingerly rubbing along your skin. Jin leaned in, closing his eyes. Holy shit, this is happening. Jin’s plush lips barely brushed yours, a featherlight touch, but your heart stopped. He kissed you for real, pressing his lips against your own firmly, and your whole world spun out of control. You were dizzy and full of joy and you couldn’t believe you’d been missing out on this. You felt like time had stopped. Jin pulled away, looking into your eyes like he was searching for something.
“Wow, if I’d known kissing felt like that I’d have done it sooner,” you broke the silence.
“It doesn’t,” he said in awe, “it never feels like that.”
“Oh,” you whispered.
In a flash, Jin crashed his lips to yours again and you fell back with the impact, Jin hovering over you on the couch. You wound your hands in his hair as he deepened the kiss, hands all over your body. You felt like a light switch had been turned on, and you were warm all over. You moaned into Jin’s mouth as his hands grazed your inner thigh.
“If you keep that up I won’t be able to stop myself,” Jin warned.
“Then don’t,” you said, looking into his eyes, “don’t stop.”
His eyes darkened and he studied you for a moment.
“Are you sure about this, Y/N?” he asked.
You nodded.
“I need to hear you say it. Say you want me,” he purred in your ear.
“I want you Seokjin, so badly,” you whined.
That was all it took.
Jin ripped his shirt over his head, then with ridiculously quick and talented fingers, unbuttoned the flannel you were wearing, exposing your body to him. He licked his lips, eyes wandering along your smooth skin. Jin wasted no time, tossing the shirt off somewhere in the room and attacking your neck with love bites. You moaned his name, spurring him on. He unclipped your bra in record speed, his tongue instantly finding its way to your nipples, causing you to arch your back off the couch.
“This is your first time. It shouldn’t be here,” Jin mumbled, picking you up bridal style in nothing but your panties, carrying you into his bedroom and placing you gently on top of the covers.
You watched as he undid his belt and slid his pants off, only in his boxers as his body hovered over yours once more. Jin slowed down his assault, reminding himself this was a special moment for you, and he wanted it to be a good memory. He kissed and sucked on your neck, collarbone, your breasts, giving every inch of your skin attention.
“You’re so gorgeous, Y/N. So pretty,” he cooed in your ear, “I’m gonna make you feel so good baby, you’ll never forget this night. You’re going to feel me inside you for weeks after this, I promise.”
You squirmed at his dirty words, watching him.
“Prove it.”
Jin lifted an eyebrow, then started kissing down your stomach, skipping where you really wanted him entirely, and nipping at your inner thighs, massaging them each time. You leaned your head back, reveling in the feeling. You should’ve started having sex ages ago, this was amazing. Or maybe it was just Seokjin.
You were so lost in your thoughts, it took you by surprise when Jin’s tongue dived inside your aching heat and you groaned as his tongue licked figure 8’s on your clit, fingers slowly pumping in and out of you. It felt so good to be touched by Seokjin. Of course you’d touched yourself over the years, but fuck it felt so much better when Jin did it. He was electrocuting you in the best way possible. You were so close to losing it when Jin halted his efforts and reached for the condom. He pulled his boxers down, exposing his rock hard cock and your eyes widened. He was huge. He had such a pretty cock though, you weren’t surprised. All of him was pretty.
“Are you sure you’re ready?” Seokjin confirmed.
“Yes. I want you so bad, Jin,” you said, taking his hand and pulling him closer, “I’m glad it’s you.”
Jin smiled, kissing you gently and sliding into you, pausing to let you adjust when you hissed. Jin was big, you knew that even with your limited experience, and it kind of burned. The burning subsided and you gave him the okay to move, and once he did, you lost your mind. Every time Jin moved inside you, you felt like you were going to explode with pleasure. Each thrust felt significantly better than the last. He went slow, murmuring sweet things in your ear and taking his time, making sure you were comfortable.
“Fuck Jin,” you moaned.
You were so close, on the edge of bliss, and Jin could tell. He sped up, moving in and out of you a little rougher, only once he knew you could handle it. It didn’t take long after he sped up for you to lose it. You screamed his name, clinging to his body and scratching at his shoulders. You were flying, floating, burning, dying inside. It felt like nothing you’d ever experienced in your life. You could die a happy woman if this was the last thing you ever did. You couldn’t even suck in a breath, your whole body was shaking from the immaculate pleasure coursing through you. Jin rode you through your high, milking it for all it was worth before spilling into the condom himself, then flopping next to you, exhausted. After you both calmed down and found your normal breathing again, Jin looked over at you and found you watching him.
“Not to be ‘that girl’ but… what are we now? Are we just friends, or-” you began.
“No. I want you to be mine. I don’t want to think about you begging for anyone else, being touched by anyone else. Will you be mine?” he asked.
“Yes,” you rushed out, tackling him in little kisses.
You both cuddled for a while, and you changed your relationship status online, begging Seokjin for a couples selfie. He said no about 15 times before you wore him down, fixing your hair as best you could before snapping the photo and posting it online, tagging Seokjin in it. You commented underneath.
@sugaflake thanks for making me go out tonight, it was definitely worth it. <3

✬Bokuto Relationship Headcanons✬
Bokuto x Gender Neutral Reader
(+small male reader bonus part at the end because the guys deserve it)
Just really fluffy stuff for you and best boy
✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬✬
- Having someone like Bokuto as your partner will be an incredibly rewarding experience, if you are willing to adapt to his antics. He actively seeks out fun, excitement and chances to grow and expects you to be his personal portable power bank on his journey. For him, one must always try to become the most ideal version of oneself and this also involves moving someone out of their comfort zone because boy does not like feeling restrained. He picks up cues on how to handle people extremely well and makes sure that both of you feel happy and secure on your path. Most of the time Bokuto radiates positive energy and hype, so his s/o really does not have to worry and just put faith into his skills.
- Bokuto likes to express his feelings through physical affection. He is awfully touchy with people he is close with and his s/o gets to feel it double. Bokuto is build for the greatest of cuddles and hugs and he just finds it so easy and convenient to hold his s/o close or touch any given part of their body throughout the day to say “I love you and I deeply care about you”, although his s/o could always ask him to say it out loud and he would shower them with sweet-nothings and compliments.
In return, he wants his s/o to accept his affection, return it in their way and finally their attention. He’s not per se the most jealous person (only to a certain extent) and completely understand that sometimes people need their alone time, but he’s self-absorbed to a degree that he wants and needs to be the center of your love and attention at least a little bit everyday. Otherwise he can become really whiny. To stop him just do something (in his eyes) really cute and everything is forgiven.
- One word that Bokuto does not know of is shame. He wants to show off and attention and this has an impact on how he displays PDA when you don’t stop him. He prides himself a lot on having the best s/o ever and sadly won’t accept nothing as an option because he can’t help himself. He is fine with keeping it on a low level like holding hands, leaning onto each other or throwing his arm around your shoulder, but if you let him go as he pleases him he may just make you sit on his lap or pick you up and spin you around once you guys meet.
- Contrary to what some might think, Bokuto does appreciates relaxed dates to recharge. The most common quality time with him is chilling at one of your places after work/university/school and just play video games or binge shows. However daily responsibilities won’t stop him from dragging you out at night for some “late-night adventures” like getting some food and/or taking a walk and talking about random stuff while appreciating the privacy and beauty of the dark so hopefully you’re into that as well.
He regularly checks for new or popular spots in and around town for you guys to visit on your days off. A popular restaurant, local sightseeing spots, an interesting exhibition, any amusement park (probably his favorite date spot) or some escape room, he wants to see them all. He also really loves to travel to near and far with you and take cheesy, but cute, couple selfies. However his schedule sadly limits his abilities to do so often besides local stuff and short trips.
- When you guys are apart, especially for a longer period of time, he quite literally trashes your phone with the amount of notifications and videos he sends you throughout the day. He begs you to install Snapchat (if you don’t already have it) and vlogs you his training, things you might find interesting and bad jokes in hopes of making you smile. Speaking of bad jokes, expect a lot of memes for another cheap laugh. If you’re somewhat responsible you should not produce content at a similar rate (you both need to get something done after all), but as long as you reply ever so often you make his day.
- In a relationship with Bokuto, you will receive a lot of support but also have to give a lot of support. He feels like it’s his responsibility to bring you back up and make you feel special and that’s exactly what he needs in return. He is without a doubt resilient and some kisses, hugs and compliments can get him back on track most of the time, but he couldn’t handle if the person he trusts the most does not have his back or rejects him when he needs them.
Nevertheless, his style of love involves a lot of spoiling his s/o rotten and if he gets spoiled in return, you should be well prepared for possible hardships.
- Have I mentioned that he is perfect if you take care of him? He won’t have a problem with including you in his friend-circle (his teammates and you have a lot of passive contact through his vlogs anyway) or inserting himself into yours. He’s ready to indulge in interests you might have as long as he can spend some time with you. It’s pretty easy to get him hooked onto something as long as you love it.
- It’s really important for him that try to cheer him on during his games and that you are active enough to play at least a bit of volleyball with him (not like you could keep up with him otherwise). He’s a patient teacher, but you will probably learn the most about being a setter for countless demonstrations of his straights. If you already play volleyball at any level really, he’s even more satisfied. The experience of playing with you is one of the biggest confidence boosts he can get for his games and he's determined to use the techniques he showed you to win! Another big boost is to wear his merch or even better his spare training clothes (or option 3: both) when you attend the games in person. Show others that you're his #1 fan!
Fanboy BONUS~
Warning: Suggestive, but nothing graphic
- If you guys speak English (don’t worry, he passed his English exams), expect him to use surprisingly creative yet lame bro pick-up lines. You just know that he practices those with Kuroo.
- Remember the show off part? With a boyfriend he adds an “own the haters” attitude on top of it. When gushing about you, he can’t stop saying how HIS BOYFRIEND is the most fantastic thing in existence.  He’s maybe a bit overbearing sometimes, but his motivation is just so pure that barely anyone minds.
- He’s a top, deal with it. You can learn it the easy or the hard way, but he will assert it in your relationship in any way he wants.
