A lot of y'all are WAY too comfortable and too often associating underaged characters with sex.I actually don't care that teens irl fuck and often have dirty senses of humor,i know they do because i have two teen siblings and a bunch of friends who're also teenagers who i'm close enough to that i see them as my siblings too and i've politely told them i don't want them to make dirty jokes to me because it makes me uncomfortable as an adult and obviously i didn't need to tell them to not talk about the shit of that nature irl.I support Sex Ed being taught in schools so kids don't slutshame themselves or others or think something's wrong with them or get taken advantage of but i really don't think they're gonna get that from 11k pwp smut of characters who're canonically in high school or nsfw memes about popular young love ships and ESPECIALLY not oversexualized redesigns of characters their age.Can you be normal about minors? Can you be fucking normal about minors, especially ones involving pg media either as in-universe aspects or the irl fans expressing discomfort over it as you invade their safe spaces?CAN YOU!!!!!!!!AWNSER THE QUESTION

TITLE: do you still think about me?
PAIRING: Bakugou Katsuki x Reader
SUMMARY: Okay, so you had the biggest, most embarrassing crush on Bakugou when you were both in high school. He was kind of your first love, if you believe in those kinds of things. But you got over it. It's fine.
You see Bakugou sometimes at hangouts, at get-togethers. He's in your orbit, or you're in his, because of your mutual friends. You're all adults now, so it's fine. It's a little weird, but fine.
You're supposed to be on vacation, at a place that's hours away from Musutafu. You're not sure what you've done to deserve it, but Bakugou's here too. And instead of both of you pretending the other doesn't exist, as usual, he's talking to you. He's everywhere. It's fine.
(It's not fine.)

Okay, so you’re a liar.
You’re still—really attracted to Bakugou. You don’t think you ever stopped being attracted to him.
You’d told Rie a half truth; yes, at first, what’d drawn you to him was his face.
Even in your generation’s set of heroes—the likes of which include the so-beautiful-he’s-almost-unreal legacy hero, Pro Hero Shouto, and All Might’s successor, sweet, freckled, boy-next-door Pro Hero Deku—Bakugou stands out. Something about him makes you want to look at him.
When you were teenagers, he had the rough, unfinished kind of good looks he’d at best disregarded and at worst willfully skewed, often marring them with bared teeth, deep scowls, and constant yelling.
As an adult, he’s devastating.
Those good looks matured into a deeply attractive masculinity, a captivating mix of confidence and competence, his personality’s extremes tempered. His shoulders broadened; he’d shot up in height. The scars he’d collected during the war gave him a dangerous, alluring edge.
(Or so the web magazines and tabloids say. When you look at his scars, you remember that time of fear and uncertainty; you remember the relief you felt when it was over, the catch in your chest when you saw Sero’s, Mina’s, Kaminari’s faces. Bakugou’s face. Battered, hurt, but okay.)
You didn’t tell Rie that what you find even more attractive about Bakugou is what you’ve learned of him, from how the people who care about him talk about him. From what you’ve seen of him when you do cross paths.
A year or two ago, Deku nearly collapsed from overwork consulting on a difficult, international case while maintaining his regular workload. The only reason you know as much as you do about it (not much) is because their class is still so close, even after all these years, and it’d come up briefly during a get-together.
“Midoriya only listens to Bakugou,” Sero’d said over drinks one night, shaking his head. “That guy’s hard headed. But he’ll be okay. Bakugou’s got it.”
Bakugou knocked some sense into Deku, apparently, and had supported him to the end of that case.
You hear that another of their classmates, Jirou, has a pretty popular band. You were shocked to see a video circulating a couple months ago featuring Bakugou on the drums. He’d worn all black, a shirt with the sleeves cut off, and someone on Chirper had zoomed in on his face and confirmed he’d been wearing eyeliner.
Mina’d told you that Jirou’s drummer had broken his wrist right before a performance. Bakugou had subbed in. You didn’t save the eyeliner picture, but sometimes you think about how his eyes looked in it and shiver.
The last time you saw Bakugou was at that dinner with Rie, Sero, Kirishima, and Mina. Kirishima’d gotten a little drunk, celebrating a completed case. As you all went your separate ways that night, you couldn’t help but notice the gruff way Bakugou’d lent Kirishima a shoulder, nagging him, but still supporting his weight as he hailed a cab and helped his friend home.
You like that he’s dependable. You like that he cares so much about his friends, despite appearing to the rest of the world as unapproachable and irritable, a bomb waiting to go off.
You’ve learned all these things about him secondhand; you know—you know that there’s a huge difference between that and knowing him yourself, directly. If you could have a do-over with him, you’d have played it cool, in high school. Maybe then you could’ve at least been friends, instead of friends of friends.
You don’t think that’s in the cards for you. And that’s okay. You’ve made your peace with it.
Yawning, you cover your mouth, then rub at your eyes, trying to wake up. It’s early enough that you’re really regretting trying to stick to your routine by going for a run, even while on vacation.
You’re already dressed, out here and ready, you tell yourself. Just go. You think of how good the massage you’ve got scheduled later today will feel after some exercise.
The hills surrounding the ryokan are green with the beginnings of spring, and here outside the city, closer to the mountains, the heat and the humidity have yet to reach their seasonal peaks. The air’s clear, and you inhale deeply.
You’d have to thank the staff member who’d suggested this forest trail to you. It’s conveniently close to the ryokan while still being far enough apart that you have yet to bump into any early bird tourists. And the scenery’s a perfect companion on your run.
With this thought to motivate you, you set to stretching.
You’re bent down, reaching to touch your toes, when the barest sound of footsteps comes from behind you.
You jump, swinging around.
Bakugou stands there in shorts and a form-fitting shirt, hands stuffed into his pockets. Your eyes snag on his shoulders, his biceps.
He raises an eyebrow at you.
“You’re jumpy as fuck,” he tells you, and you make a face.
“Wear a bell,” you retort. Your heart’s still beating a little fast.
He snorts, then begins his own stretches.
You watch him for a few moments before your brain turns on.
“You’re not… going running with me, are you?” you ask. Wait. Maybe he’s just going running at the same time as you. Not necessarily with you.
“Why, can’t keep up?” Bakugou asks, a hint of a smirk on his face. He maintains eye contact for a beat longer, long enough for your stupid brain to remember how attractive he is, for your heart to pick up the pace without your permission. With how much work your heart’s put in within just five minutes, maybe you don’t even need to work out this morning.
He straightens up, and without another word, he takes off.
You stand there for a moment, stupefied. Then, scowling, you run after him.
“You’ve got stamina,” Bakugou says, leaning against the table.
“...Thanks,” you say, the word coming out as more of a question than a statement, and he grunts but doesn’t say anything more. Shifting your weight, you sip your water, wondering how you got here.
You’d caught up with Bakugou pretty fast—you suspect he wasn’t going full speed. For a while, you’d stressed. Were you going too slow? Too fast? Did he really expect you to keep up with him, when fitness is a big part of his job as a pro hero, while you’re a normal office worker?
But minutes and distance passed, and thoughts faded into the background. Your exertion overrode your worries. You let yourself fall into the feeling of your feet striking dirt, the rhythmic inhale and exhale of air.
All the while, Bakugou kept pace with you. When you’d decided you were done after a couple loops of the trail, he’d accompanied you back to the ryokan, lingering with you here at the lobby’s refreshments area.
You’re really not sure what’s happening. It’s hard to believe that your leisurely run was up to his usual standards. You wonder if he’s bored, craving company, since he’d come out here alone and you’re conveniently around to sate that boredom.
“So do you usually run outdoors, or do you use your agency’s gym?” you ask, wrapping your hands around your water cup.
“Gym,” Bakugou says. His face grows pinched, annoyed. “Too many randos try to talk to me if I go running outdoors.”
“Oh, right. Pro Hero Dynamight.” You frown. “That sucks. But your agency’s gym’s pretty nice, I hear. Hanta’s said he wishes ours was as good.”
“It’s decent,” he says. His eyes move to your hands, fidgeting with your cup. Self-conscious, you stop.
Abruptly, he says, “Heard you got promoted recently. Congrats.”
“Oh!” Tilting your head slightly, you say, “Thanks, Bakugou. Though honestly, it feels like I just get more work dumped on me with the added responsibility of having to fix people’s problems when work drama happens. The pay bump’s nice, though.”
“You’ve always been good at your shit,” Bakugou says. “Don’t downplay it.”
You blink. Ridiculously, you feel your face begin to warm up.
“Thanks,” you say again, a little softer. You smile up at him.
He looks at you, and—it feels like he’s so close. Was he always standing this close?
Your phone chimes from within your pocket. You fish it out, eyes dropping to your phone screen as you avoid Bakugou’s eyes, feeling shy and off balance. Which is dumb, because it was just a compliment, jeez. Get it together. He’s just being nice.
It’s Rie, wondering where you are and asking you to get back to your room. Checking the time, you wince. You’d been out later than you intended.
“Hey, I gotta run,” you tell Bakugou. Glancing around, you look for somewhere to get rid of your cup.
“I got it,” Bakugou says, taking it from you. Your hands brush against each other, and you’re so annoyed at yourself for being so aware of him that juvenile gestures like this get your heart rate up.
“Thanks,” you say. “And thanks for the company! It was fun. Maybe I’ll see you around, but if I don’t, enjoy the rest of your vacation!”
You don’t wait for a reply, hurrying out of the lobby towards your room.
Rie’s packing when you use your key to let yourself into the room.
For a moment, you stare at her as she moves what few things she’d unpacked back into her luggage. You just want to be sure that she’s packing her things rather than unpacking them, as you’d finished doing just yesterday.
“Hello? What’re you doing?” you say. “Our reservation’s for the entire weekend, so why are you packing?”
Rie groans loudly. “Don’t remind me. I’m so mad. Stop standing there and come sit so I can explain.”
Bewildered, you toe off your shoes and sit on one of the lounge chairs, unwilling to sit on either of your beds in workout clothes.
Rie perches on the table in front of you and looks at you. “So don’t be mad. But I have to go because I got an emergency call from a client who has an event this evening. She’s paying me triple, and she’s going to reimburse me for my reservation here.”
Your jaw drops. “Triple? Must be a rich client.”
Rie laughs. “Very. Her wallet won’t even notice. And now I can use her reimbursement to book a future reservation with Hanta.”
“I mean, that’s great for you, but… Should I come back with you? So you’re not traveling back alone?”
Rie looks at you like you’ve said something ridiculous. “What? No. Stay here. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. It’s like… doubly free for you now, so there’s no way you can waste it.”
You frown. She’s right; it would be a waste to go. But it’s a little… lonely, thinking about the plans you’d made together and knowing you’d be doing them by yourself, now.
Ever perceptive, Rie reaches over and jostles your leg. “Hey. I really am sorry for leaving you for work. If you want, I can tell her I’m not available. I know we came all the way out here together, and you did it as a favor. She’s a regular client. She won’t drop me if I cancel on her once.”
You’re already shaking your head. “No way. The deal’s too good. If you do something dumb like that, I’ll kill you.”
Snorting, Rie leans back. “You sure?”
“Positive,” you say firmly. You smile. “I’ll be fine. Don’t worry.”
You see Rie off as she climbs into a shuttle provided by the ryokan. It’ll take her to the train station, and she should arrive back in the city by mid-afternoon.
You text Sero in case he doesn’t know Rie’s headed back. Maybe he could pick her up at the station. You’ve yet to receive a reply from him, but you know he’s probably busy with patrol right now.
After showering the sweat of your workout off, you sprawl across your bed and stare at the ceiling.
Originally, your plans had been to check out the town’s morning market, shop around a bit, then have lunch. After that, a visit to a temple nearby was on the agenda. The day would end with your scheduled massage and a dip in the onsen.
Now, the thought of such an activities-filled day tires you.
You close your eyes. Maybe you can just. Skip everything except for the massage today.
Your phone pings. Eyes still closed, you pat around next to you for it and then check the message you’d received.
Rie: If I find out you just stayed in the room for the next two days… 🔪🔪🔪
If you didn’t already know her quirk, you would’ve thought she’s telepathic.
Sighing, you force yourself up and off the bed and get dressed.
The market’s busy, with tourists and locals alike mingling through the crowded main street. Shops line either side of the street, some selling local handicrafts and souvenirs, others selling food and desserts.
The overlapping sounds create a pleasant background hum, and you happily peer into stores, hunting for things to bring back.
You find a bath and skincare set for Rie, who constantly complains about her dry skin but never does anything about it. A coin purse for Mina, who always carries her coins loose in her pockets, clinking around. Some local confections for Kaminari and Sato. Hanta gets a bag full of local fruits; he’s always been a little bit of a health nut.
Just as you’re about to enter a bakery, windows lined with delicious looking breads and desserts, you spot a familiar blond head of hair just outside.
“Bakugou?” you call out, and he turns.
Like you, he’s changed from workout clothes to casual clothes. Jeans, a shirt. He’s holding a coffee with the bakery’s branding.
“Is that any good?” you ask, pointing at his drink.
He shrugs. “S’okay.”
You bite your lip, trying to stifle a smile. “I’m starting to think that just okay to you is what regular people think is great.”
He gives you a look, and you grin.
Stepping back, you wave a little. “I’m gonna go inside and check things out. It was nice seeing you.”
Instead of continuing on his way, Bakugou follows you inside. Surprised that he’s stuck around, you glance back at him.
“What’re you gonna get?” he asks you.
In this little bakery, you can’t help but notice how tall he is. Especially with him right behind you, waiting for you to answer.
“I haven’t had breakfast yet, so… This bread looks pretty good.” You point at it. It’s savory looking, with cheese and some type of meat on it. “And I saw someone come out with this strawberry cream croissant! It’s the real reason I’m in here.”
You don’t hear what he says in response, as you’re next in line and quickly order. When you go to pay, you find yourself nudged aside as Bakugou takes care of it before you can protest.
“Bakugou, what?”
“Didn’t anybody teach you to just say thank you?” Bakugou says, herding you to the side with a hand on your back so that the person behind you can order. His touch is so warm; you wonder if it’s because of his quirk, if it works that way.
“Thank you,” you say automatically, then frown. “You really didn’t have to.”
“Go get your bread,” he just says.
You do, feeling off-kilter again. It’s what you’ve been feeling every single time you’ve seen Bakugou this weekend. You’ve gone from seeing him maybe two or three times a year since you graduated to two or three times a month this last year. And now, within the span of twenty-four hours, you’ve seen him three times.
And it hasn’t been purposeful, at least on your end. So has it been purposeful… on Bakugou’s end?
“What’re you thinking,” Bakugou says as the two of you rejoin the crowds of people walking the main street. You don’t have a particular destination in mind, and if Bakugou does, he doesn’t say anything.
You consider being straightforward and asking him what the deal is. He’s never shown any interest in interacting with you before.
But—no, it’s a little too embarrassing. It could really just be coincidence. The ryokan is big, but not that big. It’d be easy to bump into the same person there. And there’re a bunch of touristy things to do in the area, but only to an extent. He could just be interested in doing the same things you’re interested in checking out.
Asking him if he’s been bumping into you on purpose… no way.
“There’s a famous dango place nearby,” you end up saying, then take a quick bite of the strawberry croissant. You nearly moan. It’s so good. The strawberries are fresh, and the croissant is flaky and light. The cream isn’t too sweet. It’s perfect.
Swallowing hastily, you continue, “They have seasonal flavors, but their mitarashi is really good too, I hear.”
“Fucking messy,” Bakugou says. You make a questioning sound, turning your head to look at him. He looks at you for a long moment, then snorts. He grabs your arm to halt you, tugs you out of the way of people walking.
Taking a napkin from his pocket, he tilts your chin up and wipes your mouth. You can only stand there, eyes wide.
“You had a lotta something there,” he says. His eyes tell you he’s laughing at you. Looking around, he finds a trash can to toss the napkin and his empty coffee cup.
“Have you been hit by a quirk?” you demand once he’s back by your side.
“What?” he asks. His brow furrows. He scowls.
“Nevermind,” you say quickly. “Anyway, I’m going to grab some dango.”
With narrowed eyes, you point at him. “And you can only come if you promise not to pay for anything, okay?”
He lifts a brow at you, and you take that as a yes. The two of you resume walking.
“Where’s Rie?” Bakugou asks suddenly, and you tilt your head at him.
“I’m surprised you know her name, with how much you call her Soy Sauce Face’s girlfriend,” you say, smiling. It fades a little as you continue, “She had to leave because of work. So I’m vacationing solo for the rest of the weekend.”
Bakugou’s expression is unreadable. You’re not sure what to make of it.
“It’s cool. Since I’m on my own, I get to decide where I’m going,” you say. “Instead of checking out the temple, I want to do a hike at the national park nearby. Supposedly, the views are amazing.”
“Y’gonna do that today?” Bakugou asks.
You shake your head. “No, I figure I’ll take it easy today. Enjoy the onsen. I’ll do the hike tomorrow.”
Bakugou’s silent for a moment, and then, “You shouldn’t hike an unfamiliar trail alone. If you want someone to do that shit with, take me.”
You blink, startled. “Oh, I… I don’t want to impose. Don’t you have stuff you want to do here, too? I don’t wanna ruin your plans.”
He stuffs his hands into his pockets. “Not really.”
Stranger and stranger. Who comes to a vacation destination without anything to do in mind?
If you were smart, you’d tell him thanks but no thanks. That you could handle it by yourself.
Because spending all this time with Bakugou is making you delusional. You’re starting to read into his little touches, the things he’s saying, when he’s just being nice to his friend’s friend. His friend’s friend who got ditched on vacation.
But you like him too much to say no.
“Okay,” you tell him. “If you’re really cool with it, I wouldn’t mind the company. We should exchange numbers to make planning where to meet and at what time easier.”
Bakugou grunts, pulling out his phone. He takes a moment to tap at his phone, then offers it to you. You do the same.
As you resume walking, your hand brushes against his. The part of you that’s foolish, romantic, pretends that this moment is something more.

Notes: Hello again, darlings! Thank you so much for all the love you gave part one of this fic. 🥺 You guys are the best fr. 💖
As you can tell from this part's ending... I, like reader, am a liar lmao. A week ago, I thought this fic would end in just two parts, but I kept writing, and writing, and I realized I need at least another chapter, maybe two, to fully flesh out what I have planned. I hope you can forgive me. 🙏
Some notes for this chapter... Rie's a celebrity makeup and hair artist! The morning market is based off of shopping you can do in Arashiyama. I have had strawberry cream croissants from a Japanese-French bakery where I live, and they are delicious. Dango are little balls of rice flour that're on skewers. A popular flavor is mitarashi, or a sweet soy sauce flavor.
Anyway, I'll see you next weekend with another update! Hugs and kisses! ✨💞

“Momo!” An enthusiastic cry went up from the Class A table.
You watched, a tiny thrill of anticipation zinging down your spine, as Momo smiled and approached your hightop. She was even prettier in person, her dark hair shiny and her features so prim and pert. Even her movements were charismatic and sure.
Mina shoved over to make room between herself and Jirou, and Momo gracefully perched on the stool, accepting the drink Jirou had apparently had waiting for her. Like Shouto, Momo was also treated to a round of fist-bumps which she returned with a soft smile and perfectly manicured hands.
Chatter quickly resumed all around you, Kaminari seizing your attention to show you a trick where he opened his beer with his forearm, looking pleased with himself. Then Shouto wanted to try, and your heart rate ticked up as he shrugged off his sweater in favor of the gray tee shirt beneath, his biceps cording with the movement.
You swallowed your own drink wrong, and Mina had to pat you on the back as you coughed, smirking knowingly. Your eyes briefly met Momo’s as you looked back, and she waved, a dainty little swoop of her fingers.
It took a few minutes for Shouto to learn the trick, as he didn’t seem to have enough fat on his forearm to manage it neatly, and had to push the bottle against the muscle a little more firmly. Once he had managed the cap twist perfectly, however, he presented you with the beer proudly, and you grinned at him.
Those mismatched eyes glittered in the dim light of the bar, dipping to your mouth as you took a sip. Heat pooled low in your stomach as he leaned in, watching you carefully.
You were somewhat startled to notice that his gaze was fixed solely on you, as though he had no thought for anyone else in the room. You realized, quite belatedly, that other than a nod at Momo as she approached, Shouto hadn’t shown any specific reaction.
In fact, come to think of it, no one had seemed to assume that Momo’s place would be by Shouto’s side when she came in. And Shouto had gone right back to opening a beer bottle for you, watching you drink it, looking like he wanted some reaction from you.
You again had the thought that he was unlike anyone else–so watchful, so kind, so unbelievably good down to his core. So unbelievably good to you, down to the smallest thing. He was your soulmate—yours, and he had tried so hard to keep you in his life ever since you had first met. Had dedicated so much of his time and attention to you since then, had made you feel so precious, special, cherished.
Despite all the shit people were saying on twitter, despite the fact that the entire world was on the verge of finding you out for sure. He had never cared. There was only one person he had ever made you feel like he cared for—
And suddenly, just like that, in a tiny, nothing moment, with Shouto’s eyes on you in a dimly lit dive bar–you realized.
Shouto had never been Momo’s.
Shouto had never been anyone else’s. Not in the permanent sense.
Shouto had chased after you. Shouto had been spending all his time with you. Shouto had bought you an entire animal rescue, and was even now sponsoring its refurbishment with miles and miles of security apparatus.
Todoroki Shouto had always, always been yours. And the reaction of his skin to your touch proved it, more definitively than anything.
And you had been so fucking stupid this whole time.
“Are you alright, love?” Shouto asked in his low, soft tone, and you blinked up at him, realizing you’d paused over your next sip.
His face was so stupidly perfect up close, his lashes so long and pretty, his mouth so soft and full. In the dim light, the edges of his scar were softened, a dusky pink against the rest of his skin. You’d always wondered if that part of him would react to your touch too. Before you even realized what you were doing, you reached up and gently pressed your thumb just under his eye.
Color bloomed under the pad of your finger, and Shouto blinked curiously, his fingers coming up to take your hand. Color blossomed under his touch too, staining your skin like watercolor.
You could have leaned in and kissed him right then, but something held you in place.
When you chose him, for the first time, you wanted it to be just between you two. Just for a few moments. Because the entire world would find out as soon as the Todoroki Agency made its statement, only a few days from now.
But you wanted this one thing to be just yours at first–the way Shouto was. No one else’s but yours.
You shot Shouto a grin and finished the beer he’d given you, telling him it tasted better for the cool factor his trick had put into it. You stifled a laugh as he tried not to look smug, and wondered how you could have ever, even for a minute, doubted Shouto’s feelings for you.
The rest of the evening was a blur, a haze of rowdy chatter and a rapidly escalating competition of drinking tricks. Pro heroes could apparently put away a ton of alcohol, and couldn’t resist showboating as they did so. You felt yourself grinning ear to ear, and then found those ears flushing with heat when Shouto’s hand found your hip as he watched his classmates get sillier alongside you.
Fetching your final drink of the evening–just regular soda water, considering you wanted to be clear headed enough to talk to Shouto when you got home–you ran into Momo at the bar.
She leaned in immediately, pulling you into a hug that felt like cashmere and smelled like some light, expensive perfume.
“I’ve been wanting to meet you ever since Shouto first showed up at our agency looking for you,” she said, a little bit of a flush on her cheeks. “I know we haven’t met formally but I feel like I know so much about you already.”
You smiled up at her. “Same to you. Shouto’s told me a lot.” Then you paused, curious about what she’d just meant. “Wait, he showed up at your agency looking for me?”
Momo blinked, then looked embarrassed. “Oh! Yes. Um, I hope you don’t mind. Jirou and I run our own agency and her quirk has to do with sound, you know.”
You nodded, curious where this was going. “Well, she’s excellent at long-range intel gathering and we’ve shaped the agency largely around that. We have a lot of heroes with quirks useful for that kind of thing, and civilian employees who specialize in data-gathering techniques as well,” Momo said. She sounded a little proud. “Um, so when Shouto needed to find you…well…”
A smile crept across your mouth. You remembered all those months ago when Shouto had neatly dodged the question of how he’d found you. “A friend ran video footage,” he’d said evasively.
So Momo had been a friend–the friend–all along.
He must have gone straight to her after the rescue, considering he’d shown up in your animal shelter the very next day. And that itself was a dead giveaway.
God, how could you have ever believed he didn’t want you?
“I will never be able to convey how grateful I am that you helped him find me,” you told Momo sincerely. “But, um, I’d love to buy you a drink as a symbol of my thanks.”
She flushed prettily again, but accepted, and you managed to obtain her drink of choice–an unexpectedly no-frills whiskey on the rocks. You would have to remember that for future nights out. There would never be any amount of drinks that could truly give back to her what she’d helped give you, but you could at least try.
After a little more idle chatter, Jirou came looking for Momo, and you thought you understood things even more clearly when you saw Jirou’s tiny, fine-boned hand slide possessively around Momo’s waist. And then you felt a much larger hand touch yours, and you turned to find Shouto lingering over you, watching you carefully.
And you knew, right then, that you couldn’t wait to tell him any longer.
“Hey,” you said in greeting, feeling pleased and bold and shivery with nerves all at once. “Wanna get out of here? I have something I wanna tell you when we get back.”
Shouto blinked, clearly mystified, but murmured his assent. You collected your coats and bade goodbye to everyone and then started the trek back to Shouto’s place, the night air cool on your skin.
“I like your friends,” you told him as you walked. “They’re good people.”
Shouto’s smile was small and pleased and toe-curlingly charming. “I have no doubt they liked you as well.”
“They just like that I made an idiot of myself on national television,” you said. “They like that I gave you a hard time.”
Shouto politely did not mention how prolonged that hard time had been, given that you’d actually been misunderstanding him for months. He told you instead about all the times Class A had made idiots of themselves on national television too, murmuring stories about their first sports festival in his hypnotically low voice as if to calm and reassure you.
You liked him so much.
When you finally made it through Shouto’s door, and Shouto had replenished Princess’s food and water, you knew it was time to tell him for real.
You drew in a nervous breath, then stepped close to him. “I think…I have decided what I want the Todoroki Agency statement to be,” you said.
Shouto’s mismatched eyes went wide, and you watched as he schooled his features into that classically blank expression, as if he did not want to influence you.
He was so, so, so unbearably good.
You had planned to say more but all of it was lost in that moment as you watched him wait for you, watched him try not to push you. It was what he’d been doing this entire time, you realized. Making his intentions clear, giving you everything he possibly could of himself, but never, ever pushing you into something you did not think you were ready for. Like he’d waited for you that day outside your apartment, holding still, letting you make the final move.
You were finally feeling bold enough to do it.
You leaned up, and, heart in your throat, you pressed your mouth to his.
And it was like the entire world snapped into alignment.
You didn’t know how else to describe it. As soon as your mouth met his, it felt like everything was finally right, a wave of something like relief washing over you. Shouto shuddered like he felt it too, and then his hand came up to catch your chin, cradling your cheek.
He kissed you back fervently–scorching one moment and tender the next. He tasted like the sweet fruit and soft tang of his drinks, sugary and delicious. An electric warmth lit you up inside, roiling in your stomach, every single one of your nerves buzzing.
His other arm came around you, gathering you against him, pressing you tightly to him. You clung to him, desperate.
It was a long time before he let you go, and you clutched the collar of his jacket, feeling a little weak-kneed.
“I hope–” Shouto started, sounding a little dazed. He blinked down at you, then tried again. “I hope that was not a farewell…”
You shook your head, gripping his coat even tighter. “No. No–Shouto, I am in love with you. I’m sorry it took so long for me to get my head out of my butt. I have had the most insane crush on you since the second I met you, and I’ve only fallen deeper the more I’ve gotten to know you. I could never, ever give you up for anything—not my privacy–nothing. I choose you.”
The most stunningly gorgeous smile you had ever seen broke out across Shouto’s mouth, luminous in its delight. “You choose me,” he echoed quietly, as if to himself.
Your heart did a weird flip in your chest at how utterly and insensibly handsome he was in his happiness.
You smiled back, feeling giddy. “Yeah. You’re my soulmate.”
Shouto’s fingers tightened on your chin, and then he was tilting your face back up to his and slotting his mouth against yours once more. It quieted every single word in your head, all the months of self-doubt, the stupid shit people had been saying about you online, the worry about what people would say in the future. All you knew, all you could think of, all you could feel was Shouto’s body pressed against yours, Shouto’s mouth over yours, Shouto’s breath filling your lungs–Shouto, Shouto, Shouto.
His thumb traced over your cheek, and Shouto pulled back, watching the motion of the pad across your skin, doubtlessly tracking the streak of color left behind. “Mine,” he said, more than a little smugly.
It startled a laugh out of you, the childish straightforwardness of it. You supposed he was allowed now, considering he’d behaved so carefully, so gentlemanly all throughout the previous months.
“All yours,” you promised.
Shouto seemed to like the sound of that very much. You heard your jacket being unzipped and suddenly it was being tugged off of you.
Shouto’s mouth found its way to your throat, and his fingers crept up under the hem of your shirt, sliding over the bare skin of your waist. “Y/N,” he breathed. “I almost thought I might never have this. I want to see you, all of you…” All of what’s mine, went unsaid.
You nodded, dizzy with the feeling of his mouth in the hollow of your neck. “Yes–I–me too—want to see you…”
You barely managed to scrape together enough brain cells to successfully pull your shirt off, and Shouto let out a low, appreciative groan, guiding you back to the wall with his hands. You watched as he stared at you, dragging his hands over you. Shivers wracked you at the sight of his dilated pupils following the streaks of color left by his fingers, like he could barely control himself over the thought that you were his.
He really, really wanted you.
Shouto’s mouth back on yours distracted you from thinking much more. Your fingers tangled in his hair as he pressed himself against you, shuddering when you felt his hardness press against your stomach.
His hands came under your thighs, boosting you up against him, and then that hardness was slotting right between your thighs, exactly where you wanted him. Your head made a dull thud against the wall as you threw it back, Shouto’s hips hitching to grind himself harder against you. His breath came harsh in your mouth, and you realized you were no better, letting out little puffs of air, squirming against him.
“Shouto,” you managed between kissed, “Shouto, I want—I want—”
“Yes, love,” Shouto said, even as his hand pressed down against your hip, grinding you harder into him. He let out a shuddering breath, eyes fluttering closed.
“I want you, please—” You gasped, accidentally digging your nails into the meat of his shoulder as another cant of his hips pressed him firmly but indirectly to your clit through the fabric of your pants. “Shouto, Shouto, please—more—”
“Anything you want, love,” he said. “I will give you everything.” And then suddenly he was stepping back, and you mourned the loss of heat against you, frowning.
Before you could get a word in, however, he was dropping to his knees, in front of you, tugging down your pants. Your hands seized his shoulders as he took one of your calves in hand, gently helping you step out of them, pulling your leg over one broad shoulder. He pressed a fluttering kiss to your stomach, and then your hip, and then lower, and lower, and lower, until his fingers were pulling aside your panties, and his mouth pressed directly to you.
Your head made another dull thunk against the wall as you threw it back. This is not what you had meant—!
“Fuck–oh my god—Sho–!”
Shouto groaned deeply, then licked over you more firmly. “Yes, pet?” he murmured, before doing it again.
You produced an embarrassing little squealing noise in place of words. You could feel his mouth shift into a smile against you, which was so weirdly hot, and then he went back to work on you, murmuring his appreciation.
His grip on you was firm, holding you in place as you shook with each delicate suck, each curl and swipe of his tongue. When you finally managed to look down at him, those heterochromatic eyes were staring back, drinking you in carefully, sliding over every spot his fingerprints had left his mark on you. The sight of him so wrapped up in you pushed you right over the edge, and he licked you right through your first orgasm, looking so utterly wrecked himself.
You didn’t have a single second to recover before Shouto was surging up, covering your mouth with his again. He caught you by the waist, and herded you urgently towards the couch, his mouth never leaving yours for a second.
You spilled over the side of it, Shouto’s heavy weight bearing you down to the cushions. You practically tore your panties off and fumbled with his belt, desperate to get Shouto inside you. He seemed to know instinctively what you wanted, slotting himself between your thighs.
His cock was predictably just as gorgeous as the rest of him, long and full, and he slid inside you with a low groan, fisting the cushion beside your head.
“Fuck, love,” he uttered, those long, pretty eyelashes fluttering. The sight of him so instantly undone–the furrow of his brow, and the almost-pained twist to his mouth–almost sent you right over the edge again.
He bucked his hips again, burying himself deeper inside you, and launched into an almost desperate pace, like he couldn’t bear to slow down now that he had you. You didn’t know what it was–if it was the fact that he was your soulmate, or if it was just the fact that he was Shouto–but he fit so right within you that you thought you might be driven insane with the feeling.
He held himself up over you with one hand, and the other dragged over every part of you, cupping your face, thumb sliding across your mouth, then slipping down to circle a nipple. You could see the fingerprints left all across your skin, and Shouto’s eyes seemed torn between your face and those bold streaks of color.
Shouto’s mouth only added to things–he was keeping up a stream of praise in that low tone, rough with feeling. “Fuck, love—that’s it. So good, you’re so perfect. Made for me, like we were made for each other. Mine, you’re mine.”
You could only pant out his name in return, writhing underneath him with every expert twist of his hips. “Yes, Shouto, please–!”
“Wanted you–from the very first minute I saw you—” he groaned. “Want you forever—”
The praise, coupled with the slap of his hips against you, the slide of him inside you immediately became too much.
Something inside you seized up, and you were thrown straight back over the edge, biting off a shout into the muscle of Shouto’s shoulder. The clenching of you around him made him groan, and he picked up, his thrusts became faster and looser, like he was losing control. He reached up, pressing his hand high on your chest, leaving a full set of fingerprints on you like a brand over your heart.
And then he was cumming too, flooding your insides, his hips jerking against yours uncontrollably.
You clung to him, sweaty and flushed and so unbearably full of love for him. He smiled down at you, that charming, half-moon grin, looking so incredibly smug and deeply pleased all at once.
“Did you really want me from the first minute you saw me?” you asked curiously, unable to help yourself now that everything was finally, finally on the table.
Shouto nodded, his hair falling into his eyes as he adjusted himself over you, leaning back on his haunches, pulling himself out of you. “Even before you left your fingerprints on me,” he said. “When I saw you–even though you were less injured than the others, it was like all I could focus on was getting you out of there. I had to force myself to prioritize the way I was trained.”
You blinked, feeling strangely flustered. “Really?”
His smile went charmingly crooked. “Like that, do you, love?”
You could practically feel your face fill with heat thermometer-style, like a cartoon character. “I just–to think we could have had this sooner, if I hadn’t been so stupid.”
“Yes,” Shouto agreed, and you tried not to pout.
“In fairness, you never made any moves on me!” you said.
Shouto’s eyes flickered over you assessingly, and he smoothed back some of your hair away from your face. “I was waiting for you to choose me,” he said calmly. “I know what it is to be the family of a pro hero–what it is to not have a choice about being publicly known.”
You warmed at the mention of family. “I’d pick you whatever the circumstances, Shouto,” you said, giddy with the boldness of actually voicing it out loud.
He leaned back in and took your mouth again, a kiss which grew rapidly more interested as Shouto laid himself out over you once more, his fingers sliding into your hair.
Except, as he did, there was a slight rush of air over you, and a light patter along the top of the couch.
You peeked an eye open to see Princess looming over the two of you, looking extremely put out with the goings on in her domain. You sputtered out a laugh as Shouto looked up too, his expression embarrassed and fond at all once.
“We’ve disturbed her majesty,” you said.
Shouto huffed out a small laugh, then gathered you up his arms. You suppressed a squeal, watching as Princess suddenly grew much farther away.
“We will have to take this elsewhere,” Shouto said, carrying you into his bedroom and shouldering the door closed. “As I’m not finished with you yet, love. We have many months to make up for, as you’ve said.”
You couldn’t help the laugh that left you as he deposited you onto his sheets, climbing over you once again, looking so handsome and mischievous and perfectly yours.
“I’m going to leave my fingerprints all over you,” you promised, leaning up and kissing him again.
“I have wanted nothing more,” Shouto said, smiling into your mouth.
And then you did—you marked him so thoroughly as your soulmate, the way you should have done from that very first day.
And Shouto let you, looking pleased—yours, as he always had been.

There seemed to be some kind of energy in the air – one that seemed to have wired every single one of Shouto Todoroki’s classmates into becoming a strangely more happy version of themselves. That was, of course, not to say that his classmates weren’t usually happy, they absolutely were, but during this time of year it was next level.
Taking in the scene before him, all he could really do was people-watch. Iida, if one could believe, was almost relaxed – leaning back in one of the chairs in the dorm living room and reading a book with a calm smile. A group of some of the girls, including Yaoyorozu, Jirou, and Uraraka, were trying their best to construct gingerbread houses. Even with the extra bags of icing Yaoyorozu created with her quirk, the walls kept falling down. But, even with each collapse of the houses, the girls just smiled, shook their heads, and tried again. Even Bakugou, against all odds, almost had a twitch of a genuine smile on his face as he bounced around the kitchen baking cookies, marinating several dishes for the night’s dinner, and prepping produce for the following morning.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out why. It was what many, if not most, called the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas. Well, to be more specific, Christmas Eve.
“You plan on joining in?” A soft voice sounded next to him. He smiled a bit and turned towards it.
“I’m not so sure.”
“Why’s that?”
“Christmas was never a particularly happy time for me.” Shouto wished he hadn’t really said it like that, because when he did, he had to watch your smile dim. His closest friend since the beginning, the first one he made, was you. You, with your pretty Y/E/C eyes and
“Ah.” You say. “I understand.”
“That’s not to say that you shouldn’t enjoy it. I’m just more at ease looking at all of this from afar.”
“Nah, it’s no fun if not everyone’s having fun. Especially if you, my closest friend, isn’t.” Shouto watch you brush a stray cookie crumb from the alpine sweater you were wearing.
“Baking cookies with Bakugou?” He asked. You snorted and bumped his hip with your own.
“More like stealing away with some of them. He makes a mean snickerdoodle.” Shouto hummed and turned back to his classmates, watching them make merry. He never felt so out of place.
“I may just head back to my dorm, catch up on some things.”
“We’re on break from school, Shouto.” You deadpan. “C’mon. Let’s do something else.”
“I don’t want to pull you away from anything,” he begins.
“You’re not pulling me away. In fact, I think I have a more fun idea in mind. Let’s go back to mine.”
Tumblr media
“Just to recap,” Shouto says, sitting criss-crossed on your bead, “you want to checklist your way to making new holiday memories? So that I can enjoy Christmas?”
“Exactly!” You say, pointing towards him with the aforementioned list. “I’m telling you, I think you’ll find at least one of these things fun.” Shouto considered the list before him for a moment. Things like ice-skating, movie marathons, and gift shopping were all included.
“And you’ll do these things with me?” He asked, confirming that he wouldn’t be facing such activities by himself.
“Of course.”
“Then I’m sure everything will be fun.” It almost looked like a flicker of a blush danced on your cheeks, but he must have just been seeing things.
“Alright. Where do you want to start?”
“Well,” he considered, looking outside of his window. The sun had already set and a fair amount of snow was piling up on the ground outside, “seeing as many of our options involve going into the city, which isn’t entirely safe right now, we should probably settle on something a bit more tame.” You jumped to sit next to him on your bed, your hands going to the windowsill.
“Damn,” you say, shooting him a somewhat embarrassed look. Shouto couldn’t help but smile. He loved whenever you had that look on your face. Your nose scrunched a bit and your hands went to your cheeks.
“I’m happy with a movie,” he suggests, taking one of your hands from your cheeks. You pause for a moment, waiting for your breathing to get even after his actions, and then settle in.
“Well, it’s gotta be the perfect movie.” You think, grabbing your computer while Shouto unfurled the blanket at the bottom of your bed. “Nothing too cheesy but nothing too sad. So, probably, no Elf or It’s A Wonderful Life. Although It’s A Wonderful Life is so good.”
“Why don’t we watch it then?”
“It makes me cry. Kinda counterintuitive to me helping you make happy Christmas memories. But we’ll put it on the ‘to watch’ list.”
“And Elf is cheesy?”
“Kinda,” you admit, staring at the blinking line in your search bar. “Although it’s funny.”
“So you want something funny… and heartfelt… and something that helps with the idea of Christmas?”
“That’s it!” You exclaim, your fingers flying across the keys. You pull up a movie and sit back in your pillows with a satisfied smile, waiting for Shouto’s reaction.
“Love Actually?” He says, looking closely at the movie cover. “It doesn’t really sound like a Christmas movie.
“Trust me,” you say, putting a hand on his shoulder, “it is. The best.”
“I always trust you,” he says, giving you another one of those heart bursting smiles. The kind, it seems, he saved only for you. But of course, it was probably you making it up. He was your friend, as you had stated before, your closest friend. You did not want anything to mess that up, even if you had to keep some of your feelings under lock.
“Well then,” you clear your throat, “get ready for Christmas wonder.”
Tumblr media
As the finishing notes of God Only Knows by the Beach Boys played from the tiny speakers in your computer, you sighed happily and closed your laptop. You turned to find Shouto, searching his face for any kind of reaction.
“So, thoughts?”
“That was…” he trails off. Immediately, a sense of disappointment in yourself bloomed.
“Oh god, you didn’t like it all did you?” You fret. “It was probably too much, I’m sorry, I should’ve found something else–”
“Y/N.” Shouto says, interrupting your rambling.
“Yeah?”
“I loved it.” Where panic took hold previously, excitement sparkled in your eyes.
“Really?”
“Yeah. I mean, some parts were certainly… interesting,” he says, making you laugh, “but I thought it was really nice. But,”
“Uh-oh,”
“I don’t really understand the whole message in terms of Christmas.”
“Huh?”
“Well,” he says, shifting a bit on your bed to face you more, “I understand that it all takes place during Christmas, but it mostly centered on relationships. Both good and bad. I still can’t believe he cheated on his wife with that girl though. And she forgave him? Just like that?” You laughed and leaned into him
“Well, I don’t think that’s the whole story. And they have kids, so she was putting them first. But, more importantly, it conveys the main message of Christmas.” You say to a dumbfounded Shouto.
“And what’s that?”
“Love, of course. In every situation, love is what remains constant. For a friend, for a family member, for their significant other… love is what Christmas is all about.” Shouto felt his heart speed up as he looked at you.
“I think I may be starting to get it.” Your breathing became short as he looked at you. It was quiet, so quiet, in your dorm room.
“You are?” You whisper.
“Yeah,” he says, bringing his hands to cup your face. You were moments from closing your eyes until someone banged on your door.
“Y/N! Todoroki! You in there?” You squeezed your eyes shut and sighed.
“Yep! What’s up Mina?” Shouto smiles as your frustration becomes evident on your face.
“We’re all gathering in the common room! One last activity before we all go to bed and wake up for Christmas morning!” You glance at Shouto to see him grinning, which makes you roll your eyes in amusement.
“Okay, we’re coming!” Shouto shuffles off of the bed first, helping you to your feet as well. The two of you leave your dorm and make your way down the hallway, only to stop in the doorway as you find all of your classmates face you with smug smiles.
“Is everything okay?” Shouto asks.
“Yeah guys, what’s up with the crowd?”
“Look up!” Uraraka smiles, pointing with one of her hands to whatever was above you. A cold sense of dread courses its way through your body as what you were worried about was confirmed. A seemingly harmless sprig of mistletoe was hung delicately on above the doorway, sitting just above you and Shouto. All of your classmates laugh as they see your face, making Shouto’s twist in confusion.
“Mistletoe?”
“Yeah,” you confirm sheepishly. “It’s this Christmas tradition where two people have to kiss if they walk underneath mistletoe at the same time. We don’t have to do it. It’s stupid, really.”
“On the contrary,” Shouto says, sweeping an arm around the small of your back, making your heart jump in your chest. “I actually kind of like Christmas traditions.” Your anxious smile turns into a wide grin.
“Really?”
“Mmm.” he hums in affirmation, using his other hand to tilt your head up towards him. “In fact, I think I love Christmas traditions.” You didn’t have time to come up with a cheeky response before he pressed his lips to yours. The whoops and cheers from your classmates faded to become background music. You couldn’t help but smile into the kiss, wrapping both of your arms around the nape of his neck. You went up on your tiptoes, leaning further into him and deepening the kiss. The both of you leaned away after a few moments, laughing as the class descended into pure chaos as several other duos, including Kaminari and Jirou as well as Midoriya and Uraraka, were being pushed towards the white-berried plant. Shouto led you back down the hallway to your room's door, pressing another kiss to your lips.
“Merry Christmas, Shouto.” You smile. Opening the door as you bid him goodnight.
“Merry Christmas, Y/N.” He says. He leaves you with one more quick kiss before he says goodnight. All you could do after you closed the door was slide down it, a lovesick smile on your face. You were in love and so was he. Actually.

Sneaking!
My old account locked me out, so I decided to remake and repost my old works again on my new Tumblr! @loveing- Eyes will be missed since I spent so much time growing them, but sometimes you have to let go!
EIJIOU KIRISHIMA
• Oh boy, Mina would be the one waiting for sure in the dark, either on your bed or in a chair, waiting to scare you and get juicy details. She had seen Bakugou looking for Kirishima while she was looking for you, and she knew you were off together somewhere.
• But him holding your hand as you two walked in your room, giggling with food coming back from your “first” date, got cut short by Minas squeal, which caused both of you two to jump up a little as you turned on the lights.
•intense interrogation Mina activated, especially knowing you had a crush on him beforehand. She was disappointed to learn it was just a short snack shopping date and felt bad she ruined your movie night, though she was happy her best friends finally realized they liked each other after months of mutual pining.
• left and told most of the girls the news so they could take you to celebrate.
DENKI KAMINARI
Jirou was one of his best friends, so naturally, she knew he liked you, and being one of the girls in your friend group, she knew you liked him back, but she decided to let nature run its course and see if the two of you would get together.
So when the two of you were nowhere to be found, she figured you were somewhere together, and she decided to scare you two by going to your room, turning off the lights, and waiting patiently for you to come back.
• The two of you coming back giggling and holding hands was something she was really happy about, and the two of you not noticing her before he tried to kiss you would forever be burned in her brain, but the cough she would let out, scaring you both to no end, was better.
• She then wouldn’t really pester them for details; she gets the basics. Congratulations to the two of you for realizing you are idiots in love before going back out to tell Momo the details.
SHINSOU HITOSHI
• Mina, being a good friend, found out that one of the girls in 1-A had run out of things, and she knew you had extra, so she had gone to your room to ask to borrow one.
• What she didn’t expect to see was you on your bed making out with a kid from 1-C, and especially not Shinsou.
• She didn’t really question it because the times she had seen him, you were looking at him like the last man on earth.
So she would just let out a laugh, smirking at you two and scaring you both. Even though Shinsou was very smart, he somehow didn’t hear the door open.
• In the middle of the confusion, she would make her way to where you keep things, grab two or three, and smirk at you two again before rushing outside to help her friend in need.
KATSUKI BAKUGO
• Oh boy, not only was Mina waiting, so was Kirishima.
• They both realized their best friend was missing, and it caused Kirishima to admit to Mina that Bakugo kind of liked you, and Mina had told him how you liked Bakugou.
• Though they did search for you two to see if you were just somewhere and they overlooked the two of you, they didn't, so they decided since Mina had a key and you trusted Kirishima that they would just simply wait in your room for them.
• Whoo, they weren’t ready to see you two coming back kissing, like Bakugo picking you up off the ground and carrying you into your room full-on, making out
• They both instantly made their presence known, and Bakugou put you down carefully while glaring at his friends.
• The two would profusely apologize, knowing they ruined a special moment. They wouldn’t really question anything at the moment, but later, like the next day or night, they would go see their respective best friends and get the details of what exactly led up to that moment.
SHOTO TODOROKI
• I feel like Mina and Jirou would realize they haven’t seen Todoroki in a while, and knowing he was your crush, they would be concerned and go try to find you, realizing you were nowhere to be found either.
• They would just stay in your room waiting for you to get back, not in some creepy way, but in some I’m bored and want to wait for y/n type of way.
• They probably would have zoned out talking; they would have forgotten why they went to your room in the first place, which probably confused you even more when you got back from using their money.
• honestly, they would have been happy to see you and shoot Mina a little more static than Jirou showed she was, and after Todoroki would leave, they would most likely go back to your room to know if it was a date or just a friendly hang out.
• spoiler alert It was a date, and half the dorms knew it from how loud Mina got with her squealing.

blurb little au where a third changes everything and katsuki and izuku stayed friends—only because katsuki refuses to have you alone with izuku.
# fem!reader, 1-A shenanigans, fluff and humor, childhood bffs are something else, says 1-A student, NO ROMANCE? BUT YES PINING
Tumblr media
the order goes like this: katsuki, izuku, then you.
katsuki leads first—he always does, izuku exclaims happily—while izuku likes to follow after him, happy to be in the middle of his best friends, and you trail after izuku, comfortable with getting to watch the way his hair bounces every step. it reminds you of a bunny, you explained once.
what some notice except for you three, is that katsuki likes to follow after you. it’s instinct sometimes, to have katsuki lingering around you as you interact with people outside of your small group.
mitsuki gushed about how hilarious it was that you three sometimes end up in metaphorical circles with how katsuki trails after you like a lost puppy.
inko wonders if it is normal for her child to have hearts for eyes, gushing over you about the littlest of things.
“this is so dumb!” you exclaim, glaring hard with all your might. “i hate this! izuku was right about you!”
katsuki and izuku watch as you continue to glower at your untied shoes with such fierceness that it almost makes katsuki wonder if you got it from him.
“it’s just a damn shoelace,” katsuki grunts. “you're so dramatic.” he nudges the boy beside him with a sharp elbow. “she got it from you, definitely. your dummy-ness rubbed off on her.”
“ah, sorry, kacchan!” izuku doesn't look sorry; he looks seconds away from bursting into a fit of giggles as you fail over and over again to tie your shoelaces. but his hands keep twitching as if he wants to help.
“oh my fucking god, give that to me.”
katsuki knocks your hands away and twirls the shoelaces around his fingers, eyeing you while giving a demonstration. izuku holds you up by the small of your back when you lose balance, smiling widely.
“fuckin’ watch this, alright? you fold it like this, put them like this, and then insert this one—and just like that.”
it goes like this:
“so cool, kacchan!” izuku squeals. katsuki grunts, because that’s the 27th time izuku has said that today. “are you okay, y/n-chan?”
“thank you, katsuki,” you mutter shyly, a little too quiet because you have an ego. “yes i am, izuku. thank you.”
“whatever, fuck off,” katsuki says, pleased either way because it feels good hearing it from you. “shitty nerds.”
izuku beams, hugging your head.
Tumblr media
even now, in UA.
you thought katsuki would be a little ashamed to be friends with someone from the support course, but never has he shown that he was bothered. he just looks at you with the same, sharp blood red eyes, and looks at others with hostility in them.
izuku, of course, is far from ashamed. in fact, he’s delighted that you're in UA with them. his eyes sparkle every time his eyes slide over to you and he sees you in the uniform. he is so cute.
1-A watches as the door slides open and immediately katsuki and izuku are fretting over you; and you, unfazed, as they talk over each other. katsuki thwacks izuku’s head and you coo over izuku and katsuki throws a tantrum when izuku blushes.
“wow, that's the first time i've seen blasty not-hostile around someone,” mina squeals, “and she's a girl! could this be!?”
woah.
“this is the first time i've seen deku-kun act so smoothly around a girl, too,” uraraka adds, smiling eagerly, thirsty for drama.
double woah.
“chill,” jirou says, but she’s also observing the strange sight, “what if she’s, like, the sister of one of them?”
“probably bakugo’s then.”
“yeah. he barely tolerates midoriya.”
“or maybe she's midoriya’s sister and bakugou has a crush on her?”
triple woah.
as if sensing that the class is whispering about them, bakugou and midoriya spin around to meet the eyes of their classmates, one glaring and one shy.
then, midoriya whispers something to your ear, to which you excitedly nod at.
1-A watches in awe as you wave, eyes bright at the sight of hero students. “hello! my name is l/n y/n, it's nice to meet you.” added with a polite bow.
mina makes a noise of awe. “wow, you're so pretty! you're cute!”
you seem to be flustered, but the gentle smile that follows means you know how to handle compliments. probably because you’re best friends with midoriya izuku.  “ah… thank you. you’re also pretty…”
kaminari grins to himself, about to open his mouth but unfortunately, bakugou is faster.
“quit it,” bakugo snarls, stepping forward in front of you, “leave her alone, you fucking extras.”
but before any of his classmates can protest, you nudge bakugou with a sly grin. “don’t worry, kacchan, i think you’re also pretty.”
“s— shut the fuck up, stupid! that’s not what i fucking meant!”
midoriya snorts and then laughs loudly; they’ve never heard that from him before. “kacchan! did you just stutter?”
“awh, katsuki,” you coo, pinching his red cheeks and magically didn’t get blown off the face of the earth. midoriya stifles his giggles and you smile softly at the freckled boy’s delighted face.
maybe it’s a love triangle, except both boys are truly, madly, deeply in love with the same girl.
Tumblr media
class 1-A sees you the second time when it’s 8 pm and everyone is preparing to go to bed.
the couch across the television is occupied, with a familiar mop of green curls and a shock of pale blond—but there’s also someone in the middle.
“is that l/n-san?” uraraka whispers to her classmates nearby, eyeing the three figures with surprise.
katsuki is on the far corner, resting his cheek on his palm (that would hurt when he wakes up) with his other around your waist, while you’re laying on his chest, your hand resting on midoriya’s head as the boy sleeps soundly on your lap, mouth hanging open and soft snores coming off his mouth.
both the boys are still asleep, but you’re wide awake, smiling contentedly. you meet the curious eyes of 1-A and raise your finger in a shh motion.
(everyone stays silent when you fall asleep a few minutes later as midoriya and bakugou blink awake. bakugou moves to carry you back to your dorm, while midoriya clings to you like a koala bear. they glare at each other. they end up staying on the couch for the entire night, protective limbs wrapped around you.)
Tumblr media
“young bakugou and young midoriya… do they not like each other?”
aizawa turns to all might lazily, eyeing the frail man with narrowed eyes. “not like that. they see each other as rivals.”
all might brightens. “ah! in the hero rankings? they’re both fit for number one.”
“mm, maybe more than the rankings.”
both teachers watch as bakugou and midoriya jump around the training area, palms lit up and arms smothered in lightning green. push and pull. feral grins. aizawa takes a glance at another student watching the boys from the sidelines, notebook and pen in hand but too entranced to write anything.
all might follows his gaze. “that’s young l/n, yes? the support course student young bakugou and midoriya always want nearby.” he laughs. “those boys only work together perfectly when it comes to l/n.”
aizawa smiles under his scarf so no one else would catch a glimpse of it. “the three of them together…they’re formidable. but if you take l/n out, you might as well be a dead man to both of them.”
Tumblr media
even now, as official pro heroes.
it goes like this: katsuki blasting his way to the top but never too far, izuku always somehow one step ahead of everyone but always somehow waiting for his best friends, and you, pushed forward by two pairs of hands.
the wonder trio. the big three. always together, but out of reach from anyone else.
everyone always wonders if you like one of them more than the other.
Tumblr media
a/n. yes it ends there LOOOOOL!11 this fic focuses more on friendship bc i loooove friendship, but if anyones interested i might make fics with a route for each of them as endgame hmmmm

I wanted to draw some scenes of the totally awesome Fanfiction “The Way You Used To Do” by @edema--ruh. I’ve read it now twice over (which takes some time considering the length) and have again been flashed away by the depictions of the characters and their inner emotional ups and downs and analysis...ah, I loved the character growth. And the angst. There’s a bit of  angst, too.
Jirou, the poor girl, you really had to suffer under all the pining.

First Dance
Announcements: I have a requests box open on my profile! (I think... I’m still working on how tumblr works). I write for MHA, Harry Potter, Attack on Titan and Naruto so feel free to send me some requests!!
Summary: You’ve known Bakugou since your UA days but at the alumni dance things feel a little different between you two. Flashbacks included. Bakugou pov mostly.
Warnings: Fluff! Fem reader. Pining.
WORDCOUNT: 2254
***
Bakugo tried to loosen his tie, it was hot in the dance hall. It was good to see Class 1A back together again, even if he would never admit it. Class 1B on the other hand... damn he wanted to strangle that pompous straw haired copy cat Monoma. He took a deep breath and focused back on the group he was talking to.
Kirishima was talking animatedly to Shoji, one arm around Mina. They took a while to get together after graduation but Bakugo was glad it happened, he was tired of hearing Kirishima pine after her. Half and Half was busy talking to invisichick Hagakure and Sero. Denki was scheming in a corner with Mineta and slowly Bakugo’s gaze glided around the circle, over Jirou and right onto you. He felt a tightness in his chest and for some reason the room felt warmer.
Damn it. He thought he was over this stupid crush. It had been three years since graduation and he hadn’t seen you at all since you just came back from doing work overseas. He hadn’t gotten the chance to speak to you since your return. He had kept putting it off. His eyes lingered on you, your smile and that stupid dress you were wearing.
Although you were deep in conversation with your old friend Jirou, you couldn’t help but feel someone’s gaze on you. Your eyes slide from Jirou’s face, over her shoulder and you make eye contact with Bakugo. In the time you had been gone, you heard that he had been climbing the charts and was now the #2 hero, right behind Midoriya. You had never really gotten over your high school crush on Bakugo and you received notifications on your phone anytime a news story came out with his name on it. You felt your cheeks turn red under his gaze and quickly turned your attention back to Jirou.
“Something on your mind?” Bakugo had been so focused on you that he hadn’t noticed Kirishima walk right up to him and started looking back and forth between Bakugo and you.
“FUCK! Shitty hair! You can’t just walk up unannounced. I could have blown you to bits...”
“C’mon man! Just go talk to her.”
“I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“Don’t be like that Bakugo... remember the last time we were at something like this?”
“No.”
He said no but Bakugo had been beating himself up for three years over it.
---
It was the graduation dance. The last night before everyone started going their own separate ways. Bakugo had plans to go to Tokyo and start his own hero agency right away. You on the other hand had plans to work overseas and “pay back” in a sense, the foreign powers that helped Japan during its struggle with All For One. You wouldn’t be gone forever, just three years, however there was a certain someone you were hoping would try to make you stay. If he had asked, you would have stayed.
The party had lasted forever. You had danced all night until you had to take your shoes off because your feet were so sore. The girls kept you busy all night with the usual scheming, gossip, photos, bathroom trips and of course the group dancing. You were gonna miss these girls. You couldn’t think about it or you would start crying. Bakugo on the other hand was acting strangely tonight. He kept walking close to you, acting like he had something to say but then you would make eye contact and he would frown and walk away. You wondered if you had done something to piss him off... Well whatever it was, you might never know. Your flight left in two hours and your ride to the airport was on its way. You heard a slow song start and instead of awkwardly waiting around for someone to ask you to dance, you decided to slip out of the dance and wait for your ride. You might not be able to handle all of the goodbyes anyways.
At some point in the night Bakugo couldn’t find you. He had been working up the courage to ask you to slow dance all night. He requested three slow songs already. For the first one he just couldn’t get the words out and ended up telling you that you had something on your face. The second time that stupid bird asked you to dance and Bakugo just had to sit and watch from the side of the dance hall. He finally convinced the DJ to give him one more slow song and now you were nowhere to be found. Bakugo was scanning the room looking for you and just before he could give up, Ochako walked right up to him and asked him to dance. He reluctantly accepted.
“It’s going to be so weird not seeing everyone together anymore. I don’t think I’m ready.” Ochako was trying to make small talk but Bakugo could barely hear her. He was focused on finding you out in the crowd.
“I’m surprised you didn’t ask Y/N to dance...” Ochako said slyly.
“Huh??” Bakugo’s attention snapped back down to her.
“I mean, you like her right? Everyone says you like her.”
“Tchh.” Bakugo looked away but his ears turned red. He didn’t know how everyone knew but he was gonna kill Shitty Hair if he found out he was the leak.
“She left you know.”
“What?” Again his attention was 100% on Ochako.
“She slipped out when the song started. She’s probably on the way to the airport soon.”
“Already?” Bakugo felt the blood drain out of his face. He wasn’t ready. He hadn’t asked you to dance yet. He hadn’t told you that you looked pretty in your dress, he hadn’t asked you to walk through the gardens with him, he hadn’t had the opportunity to finally confess to you... to maybe kiss you.
“Go get her.” Ochako had stopped dancing.
Bakugo looked down at her a little stunned.
“Go! Go get your girl Dynamight!” She said it louder and caught the attention of others. Kirishima stopped dancing with Mina and looked over to Bakugo.
“WELL? Go after her!” Mina shouted.
“C’mon think like a man!” Kirishima added.
“Ooh! It would be so romantic!” Momo said enthusiastically.
“SHUT IT!” Bakugo yelled but he was already running out of the doors.
The brisk night air hit his face as he catapulted himself out of the dance hall and headed towards the front gates.
“Damnit! This is taking too long!”
Bakugo stripped off his jacket and tie and threw them behind him onto the dirt path. He rolled up his sleeves and used his quirk to catapult himself into the air. He blasted his way to the front gates in less than two minutes and just in time.
You were about to get into the car. You had the passenger door open when Bakugo fell out of the sky and skidded to a stop right at the UA gates. His hair was disheveled and he was wiping his hands on his pants. Your heart skipped a beat.
“Y/N!”
“Bakugo?”
Reality caught up to Bakugo in that moment. He didn’t know what to say... “Come back and dance with me.”?? That would be ridiculous.
“Uhh... I... are you... leaving?” He managed to force out some words, some question, even if that question had a million other questions behind it.
“Yeah...” You gave him a confused look. Wasn’t it obvious?
“Oh. Off to the States right away then?”
“My flight leaves in like two hours.”
“Right. Well, I just wanted to say...” Bakugo was at war with himself. He had to say he was afraid. He had faced villains on very power level but somehow this was more terrifying then every one of those encounters combined. He wanted to say so many things,
“I’ve loved you ever since I met you! I wanted to dance with you! Your dress looks amazing! I’ve admired you as a student as a hero but mostly as a person. You’re beautiful inside and out! You were the first to be kind to me and I want to protect your kindness for the rest of my life! AND MOST OF ALL I DON’T WANT YOU TO LEAVE!!”
But Bakugo didn’t say any of those things.
“You wanted to say...?” You asked. Bakugo had stopped in the middle of his sentence and was giving you a wide eyed look.
“Yeah I just wanted to say... good luck.” He opened his mouth again as though to add on, but he snapped it shut again.
“Oh...well...” You can’t say you weren’t disappointed. But it was always a naïve hope that Bakugo might share your feelings. You quickly smiled to cover your disappointment.
Bakugo watched as you smiled and ran towards him throwing your arms around his neck. He felt the breath leave his body and his arms clamped around your waist and he buried his face in your shoulder.
“Thank you Bakugo.” and with that you were leaving his arms, getting into the car and slipping away.
---
Bakugo had spent the last three years replaying everything that went wrong that night. He had tried to move on, he went on so many dates in the first year that he lost count. But he never could make it to the second date. He tried focusing on his career and he rose pretty quickly after he gave up on dating. But it was hard, playing wingman for Kirishima and Kaminari, being a groomsman at Izuku and Ochako’s wedding and watching you post about your foreign adventures, only wishing he could be there with you. It made his blood boil thinking about all the people you could be meeting who might catch your interest. All because he was too afraid to make a move that night.
“You do.” Bakugo’s attention snapped back to the present as Kirishima said this. Bakugo merely scoffed.
“I know you remember Bakugo. You got so wasted afterwards and all you could do was whine about how you let her go. Actually... it’s the only thing you talk about after you get drunk...”
“Shut up or I’ll shut you up Red.” Bakugo warned.
“Alright... But I’m gonna ask the DJ for a slow song and if you don’t ask her to dance I’m gonna tell everyone about that time two years ago you fought that laughing gas villain and-” Kirishima couldn’t finish his sentence because he had to dodge Bakugo’s oncoming blow and run to the DJ’s table before Bakugo could catch him.
Damnit. Bakugo watched as Kirishima talked animatedly to the DJ and pointed to his phone. The music started playing moments later. Kirishima was right though. Tonight he wouldn’t mess up and let you slip away again. He turned and found you still talking to Jirou, right where he left you. He strode over to you, blatantly interrupting your conversation and held out his hand.
“Dance with me.”
You looked up at him with a look of shock and he realized he still had no sense of tact even after all these years. Your shock faded into a grin and he felt relief flood his body.
“Alright.” You took his hand and he pulled you in and slid his other arm around your waist. You began to sway to the music and everything else seemed to fade away.
“How was your time away?” Bakugo asked his head tilting down.
“It was amazing! Oh you would have loved it! There was so many things to see, so many landmarks and museums! I learned so much! Oh and I met a lot of people too!” Your face lit up as you spoke.
“Oh really?” Bakugo felt his heart drop at that last part.
“Yeah! I wished- I mean I wish you were there to see it.”
“Hah, maybe next time princess...”
“Princess? Are you saying I look like a princess?”
Bakugo turned red.
“You wish y/n.”
“Oh come on, is it so hard to say I look good? I put some effort in you know.”
“Tchh..”
You were both silent. You didn’t know what to say next. Maybe you flirted a little too much with him. You were just so excited to see him again, you couldn’t help it!
“You don’t look good.”
“What?!”
“You look great.” Bakugo said blushing and avoiding eye contact. You leaned up so your lips were close to his ear.
“You look pretty great yourself.”
Bakugo couldn’t help it. A shiver went down his body and he could feel his face turn as red as a tomato. He stopped dancing. He pulled back and looked at you.
“Y/n...”
Then he leaned down, his hand cupping your face and he gazed into your eyes as if asking for permission. Permission which you gave. Suddenly his lips were on yours and he was kissing you. He was kissing you like he was drinking up your soul, pulling your face up into his, his lips surprisingly tender. He handled you like you were precious. It was nothing like how you imagined kissing Bakugo would be but it was amazing. You broke off the kiss when you started hearing the cheers.
“Man we’ve been waiting forever for you guys to do that!” Sero yelled across all the cheering.
Bakugo didn’t even care. He just grinned down at you.
“You’re telling me Soy Sauce...” Bakugo said but only loud enough for you to hear.

Tumblr media
bakugou hates cool people. that's what you think, anyway. you've never seen him smile - not smirk - to anyone in the class regardless of if their quirk or combat abilities were good or not. in fact, you're not sure his face could ever show any form of happiness. there's a few reasons for this theory.
once, you were at the training grounds and you'd perched yourself on a ledge, shooting at whatever 'enemy' was in range with your gun-scythe (his words, not yours) and all he did was scream at you from afar. if you were being perfectly honest, you couldn't actually make out what he was saying because he was so far away. to entertain yourselves, you shot at him instead and earnt yourself what you thought was a middle finger.
another time, you'd been running late to class, so you'd sped there in a flurry of petals. supposedly, bakugou was about to enter the classroom before you whooshed past him and plopped in your seat panting obnoxiously. soon after, you heard a series of coughs and the door slammed open to reveal his spiky hair and deep-set frown.
"oi! flower power! you nearly fucking killed me!" he claimed, pointing an accusatory finger at you and holding a fistful of petals in the other hand.
admittedly, that one was your fault.
however, the day after that incident, he was sparring against you and seemed to be getting quite the ego boost since he was kind of kicking your ass. his cockiness quickly morphed to anger as your gaze flicked to midoriya, who had managed to sweep kaminari from his feet. taking bakugou's temporary distraction, you copied midoriya's move and pinned his shoulders to the ground. you got a lot of spit on your face that day after he berated you for not having your full attention on you.
the rest of class 1-a was unsure if he was really into you and was scared of the feeling or if somehow you'd become worse than midoriya and bakugou's very limited world. there's a couple times jirou thought she caught him staring at you from across the room but she wasn't sure if glaring can still be considered as staring.
in the changing rooms one afternoon, mineta was peering through a small hole in the wall and admiring the girls'... assets. this was no surprise to anyone in the class, but midoriya had a suspicion that he would eventually act on when mineta mentioned your name and a large explosion set off immediately after. typically, bakugou grumbled under his breath and maybe hit mineta over the head for saying disgusting things about women, but that particular day, it seemed your name was way over the line.
after another series of situations that made bakugou's feelings on you ambiguous to everyone but you, midoriya decided to ask him on a class camp whether he liked you or not.
"huh?!" the look of shock and disgust on bakugou's face would've indicated no if not for the fact that that was his default reaction to anything ever.
"i don't know, you just seem to be a little more... activated when they're brought up or when they're around," midoriya mumbled, rubbing the back of his head nervously.
"no i'm not!" bakugou protested, crossing his arms over his chest and huffing indignantly.
"you blew up mineta for even mentioning their name when we were getting into our hero costumes."
"that doesn't mean anything!" crackles started emitting from his palms in rapid succession as he continued to think about midoriya's implication. "i don't catch their petals when they fly around and feel them and wonder if their skin is as soft as the petals. i don't wonder if maybe their shampoo smells like strawberries and i don't hug a pillow at night thinking about how it feels to cuddle them!" the sparks died down the further he rambled.
"do you ever think about, i dunno... what it might feel like to hold hands or something?" this was a stretch and there was a high chance that midoriya might get blown up in a minute, but technically bakugou brought it up first.
"sometimes, it's no big deal or anything," bakugou grunted, scuffing his shoe along the dirt and kicking up dust clouds.
that night, bakugou went to bed with a very erratic heartbeat and a very twitchy eye. maybe he's not getting enough quality sleep. he just thinks your gun-scythe is cool and you have a cool quirk that could maybe, totally not likely but maybe could destroy him in a fight. he didn't want you to surpass him in any way, but he liked watching you do your thing and that pissed him off. how dare you look really attractive when you're training?
"stupid red riding hood," he scoffed, rolling over and thinking about the red hooded cape you always wore. maybe he could try it one day. would it bring your bright smile onto your face?

Bakugou is not making the first move because he thinks feelings are stupid and a waste of time. You're attractive and have a good personality, end of story. You probably don't like him so why make a move in the first place? Bakugou doesn't know that the feeling is mutual.
Jirou is holding back because she's afraid of rejection. She used to tease Kaminari but look at how the tables have turned. She feels confident in herself when she's around you, yet cannot bring herself to say the words she wishes to say in fear of losing a dear friend. Jirou also doesn't know that the feeling is mutual.
Kirishima isn't saying anything because he denies his feelings; brushing them off as nothing more than mere admiration and a burning passion to be your confidante. He wants to bring you happiness, and somewhere inside he knows that he cannot suppress such feelings for long - yet he always manages to come up with an excuse. Whether that's to convince other people or himself, we'll never know, but Kirishima doesn't know the feeling is mutual.
Denki is hesitant to tell you about his crush because he doesn't want you to feel like it's a mere prank or joke. He's infamous for him short circuiting 24/7 and making inappropriate jokes about people, never excluding any gender. Although he is much better than Mineta, he's never really taken seriously, and that's when he tells himself that it'd be better if you didn't know. It'd be better if you saved the embarrassment of walking around with a joke. Kaminari doesn't know the feeling is mutual.
Mina really doesn't mean to make it seem as if she's playing with your feelings, despite not even knowing the truth, but she feels like she doesn't deserve you. She's a queen and she knows it, but when it comes to you she would gladly give up her title to be your consort. She's practically in love with you in aver way possible. Mina doesn't know the feeling is mutual.
Sero has kept his mouth taped shut because he doesn't want to seem too desperate, even though he is. He just wants to be able to show you all his love but he can't do that now with the fear of wasting your time. He's seen you with your little friend group. He's not going to embarrass you, who wants a guy with tape on his elbows as a boyfriend? Sero doesn't know the feeling is mutual.
