I hate how oddly sexualized breasts are, and how oddly sexualized bedrooms are, and I hate how anything not inherently sexual gets sexualized, it was hot outside and me and my boyfriend were watching his friend repair his truck at my house and I had a shirt off and only my binder on since yk it was hot out, and the other guys also had their shirts off and it was considered fine, but when me and my boyfriend went to go relax in the ac in my room I changed from my binder to a sports bra cause my ribs hurt and kept a shirt off cause I was still sweating a lot and really hot, and my mom came in complaining about how I need to wear a shirt and how it's weird to wear only a bra in a bedroom with your significant other even though she knows I'm ace and she thinks it's weird since he isn't ace and I have breasts and bedrooms are sexualized, why is it okay to not have a shirt as one assigned gender and not the other, why are certain environments more sexualized than others, it makes no sense especially since we weren't doing anything sexual, neither me nor him made it weird, but my mom was making a huge deal out of having tits in a bedroom

maybe it's cause I'm autistic or maybe cause I'm asexual but I think the oversexualization of literally everything is weird

It still baffles me whenever i see "PROOF THAT GWEN STACY AND HOBIE HOOKED UP" or whatever tf title like that because why is that your first impression of their dialogue? I get Hobie just said that to throw Miles off, but why are certain members of the Marvel fan base so concerned with whether or not a MINOR hooked up with another character? Why is there so much discussion over something that we know wouldn't happen??

This "theory" just contributes to the oversexualization of female characters in the world of media. Too often have heroines been subjected to the male gaze and treated like nothing but eye candy. It's disgusting how a few simple words can get people so worked up and forget that GWEN HAS BEEN CONFIRMED TO BE 16.

Secondly... did you guys watch the same movie I did?? Because not once did Hobie ever seem like the type of person to abuse his power. I think ya'll are forgetting that he's an anarchist? Meaning he seeks to abolish authority?? He's all about anti-establishment, government, etc - so why would you think he'd take advantage of someone's vulnerability to sleep with them?

I know this has been said a million times but like WHY is there a need to make female animal characters in animated movies like sexy? With boobs and eyelashes and “girly” human features. We can’t just have normal sexual dimorphism, we have to make SURE the audience knows this is a woman

Like seriously LOOK at the one on the right, it’s a CUNTY wolf. I shouldn’t have to process whether or not the creators want to fuck feral animals because of how oversexualized they are! It could’ve been like the one on the left! That’s perfectly suitable but ooohhhhh N O if you don’t make your gendered animal characters live up to human traditional gender standards we can’t tell the fucking difference between a guy animal and a girl animal. Not only does this perpetuate gender stereotypes and roles harmful to trans people by having them have to fit in these roles or else they’re not really a boy/girl/whatever, it’s also just fucking gross to have to do the mental work on what the creators were thinking when they decided to give the wolf tits.

I certainly don't mind sex scenes in movies but I hate that they're so prevalent. Like I watched The Iron Claw and there was a (very short, very tasteful) sex scene that I was just like this is fine and I guess tells us a bit more about these characters and their relationship but why was this needed? That isn't a great example because it's probably the best unnecessary sex scene I can remember but I just can't help but feel this is another symptom of oversexualization in our culture that people are becoming desensitized to
