This fit Valen so well in almost every way and uh the maker of this quiz will be hearing from my lawyer very soon 😭 I've always equated Valen to a very violent and very loyal guard dog. Scary, aggressive, but very protective and can still be controlled by his 'owner' (soulmate). The part about being the first to punch and sees everyone as an enemy? Both are correct; Valen usually chooses to not trust anyone at first sight and he's not one to let others get the upperhand on him. Not without consequences though, as Valen tends to be on the lonely side due to these defensive choices. And always being the most aggressive dog in the fight means that any sort of weakness he shows will be looked down on. He's under a metric ton of pressure to be the strong one, usually to his own detriment.

So, I suppose, Valen's soul looks a little war-torn. It looks like something that could kill you. His soul looks like jagged and sharp precious stones resembling teeth; pretty to look at, but dangerous, and covered with traces of the past; prior persons who wanted a piece for themselves and managed to break off a few chips. Leaving them broken but razor blade sharp.

WIP Wednesday (3/27) | Arsonist Neil / Firefighter Andrew AU (Part 120)

The Magnolia is a bit busier than Andrew would’ve thought it would be at 1PM on a Monday. Of the dozen tables, half of them are taken. Andrew doesn’t see 10 at any of them though. He must be early. 

He takes a seat at one of the free tables and checks the time on his phone. 1:04. Okay, he was actually four minutes late. That’s not so bad. In fact, Andrew thinks he’s right on time. So… Where’s 10? Andrew’s about to get out his phone to ask, when he hears something he wasn’t expecting— well, from a feminine voice anyway.

“Um… Mr. Firefighter?” says the girl at the counter. Andrew blinks, then stands up and goes over. The girl smiles and starts to hand him a tall cup and a chocolate muffin. “Here ya go.”

Andrew takes both items, then looks at the room behind him. He gestures with his head, since his hands are full. “Where’d the guy who ordered this go?”

The girl gives him a look, then glances towards the back right booth. “Oh, uh. He was right there. I guess maybe he went to the restroom?”

“Thanks,” Andrew says with a nod. He goes to 10’s booth, content to wait. But there’s a napkin on the table. He starts to push it aside, but there, in the same scrawl he recognizes from 10’s gift basket, is a note.

‘I’m sorry. I don’t think meeting in person is a good idea, Andrew. Enjoy the coffee. — 10’

After he reads it, a white hot streak of hurt pierces Andrew’s chest. He crumples the napkin in his fist and drops it back on the table before turning on his heel. On his way out, he tosses the coffee into the nearest trash can and sends the pity muffin right behind it. Then he stalks his way back to his car.

it is partially heartbreaking to watch ms. imogen "that choice is yours now" temult so clearly broken and burdened hearing the woman she undeniably loves and walked through a land of death to save consider giving into the woman imogen thought she had fully destroyed and freed laudna from and being unable to tell laudna flat out that she can't let her do it or how hard it was to lose her once already or guilt trip her because she still at her core wants laudna to have the freedom to make that choice on her own and stands by her word that whatever path they walk they'd walk it together
