Water is bad bc in timeline 1, the day they would've found out that Will was at the least gone would've been the day they found El, meaning it would've rained that night.

HELLO!! I've got an idea (idk if anybody request it already or u already wrote it). Can you write about grim stealing clothes from the 141? And their reaction? IT WOULD BE AMAZING I SWEAR! THX <3 P.S YOUR STUFF IS SO CUTE AND PERFECT. KEEP UP THE WORK💕🫂💕
A Thief
————————————————————————————————————————
pairings: platonic 141 x grim
warnings: none i believe
summary: grim gets caught read handed
————————————————————————————————————————
you’d always enjoyed winter. but, because of your small size, it was always harder for you get warm and stay that way.
the first time you’d ever stolen one of the task force’s articles of clothing was when you were stuck in the russian woods during winter.
you and ghost had been thrown into the field. alone. the mission actually went incredibly well considering it was tackled by a grumpy, closed off lieutenant, and a jittery, talkative, kid-sergeant.
the two of you were in and out- just like you’d been briefed to do so.
the issue? a giant fucking snowstorm that prevented evac.
the wind howled in your ear as you shouted over to ghost, “do you even know where you’re going?”
the wind pushed you back, but you prevailed. the cold nipped at your nose and cheeks. snow fell into your eyelashes, and your body was soaked from the wet.
“jus’ a bit further.” he was gruff, as usual, but even the loud wind couldn’t silence his chattering teeth.
you were severely underdressed for the weather. just a thermal shirt, your cargo pants, boots, a fleece quarter-zip, and your tac gear. ghost was no better off than you.
the small cabin came into view after roughly 20 more minutes of silence.
ghost rushed in, clearing it, before pulling you by your bicep.
the cabin wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t exactly what you had hoped. luckily, there were two bedrooms. but, other than that, there wasn’t much. a kitchen, a bathroom, and a random couch.
“it’s not much, but it’ll do.”
the giant next you hummed in agreement, “go get in the shower. you’ll get hypothermia, kid.”
you almost argued, saying he could’ve gone first, but your body was shaking so badly you almost couldn’t stand.
you sighed with a nod and made your way to the bathroom. stripping yourself down to nothing and turning on the shower. the water was heavenly even if it wasn’t that warm. you stood there, letting it warm up your limbs. your red fingers finally gaining some feeling.
a knock on the door about 5 minutes later sounded through the room.
“yeah?”
“want me to take your clothes to dry them off? built a fire.”
“go for it!”
ten minutes later, you walked out with sweats and a t-shirt on. a towel bunched in your hands, with your head tilted to the side- drying your hair off. goosebumps raised on your skin as the steam rolled out of the bathroom behind you. looking around the small house, you found ghost crouched in front of the fire, warming up his hands.
“hey, big guy. bathroom’s all yours” you offered a small smile when his dark eyes met yours.
“thanks, grim.” he stood and made his way to shower before he paused right next to you.
you were about to ask him what was wrong before he stalked back the way he came, riffled through his pack, and tossed something at your face.
you squeaked as you caught it, dropping the towel.
you were about to scold him, but the soft material of a hoodie stopped you in your tracks. you offered your lieutenant a questioning look.
“you’re fucking shivering, grim. put it on.” his voice was gruff. and with that, he walked into the bathroom without a word.
later that night as you both sat in front of the fire, backs resting on the couch, ghost voiced out, “i’m not gettin’ that back, am i?”
“nope!” you curled up to him with a smile too big for your face.
———
since that mission, you’d taken it upon yourself to make yourself as cozy as possible.
ghost’s hoodies were just so much bigger than yours.
soap’s sweats were just so much comfier than yours.
gaz’s shirts just fit so much better than yours.
and price’s socks were socks, but you didn’t want him to feel left out.
this is how you found yourself being interrogated in the commons, surrounded by your team.
“why am i here, boys?” you almost sang out.
“grim. you have an issue. who’s clothes are you even wearing right now?” gaz was the first to break the ice.
“oh, a little bit of everyone’s i suppose.” you shrugged.
“kid. we need those back. you have your own clothes, for god’s sake!” price scolded you, arms crossed against his chest and head tilted to look you in the eye.
“but they’re comfier than mine! and, they keep me warmer! please?” you threw out your best puppy dog eyes, knowing it would hit them in the heart.
soap sighed out, a hand dragging down his face.
“let me tell you what, kid. keep what you have, but no more stealing them.” ghost’s voice was gruff from behind you.
you whirled around, “how about i switch them out when they don’t smell like you guys anymore? heh, variety!”
“whatever. meeting dismissed, i’m tired.”

Will’s Vanishing and Cabin In The Woods
So, remember when I talked in this post about Will’s vanishing and the weird newspaper articles about it? And how one article (from S1) says that Joyce claims that Will was found at HNL, whereas the OTHER article (from S2) claims that Will was found by Hopper in a cabin in the woods?
Tumblr media
Well, look at what movie is on the S4 board (and came out in 2011, long before S1):
Tumblr media
Cabin in the Woods.
The movie that involves a lab manipulating a bunch of teens in a cabin for the purpose of experimenting on them/killing them & basically using that whole cabin area as an open-air experiment…..
Tumblr media
And is it just me, or does the cabin from Cabin in the Woods look eerily familiar?
Tumblr media
Because to me, it looks a lot like Hopper’s cabin:
Tumblr media
Like!! We get it!!! Will was at the lab at some point!!! The lab was involved with his vanishing!!! Of course they were!!!

The Female Sailor - Anne Jane Thornton
At the beginning of the 19th century, a phenomenon that enjoyed great popularity among the population was the ballad. In this case, those of the warrior women. Dianne Dugaw - professor of English literature and folklore at the University of Oregon - summarised the ballads about female seafarers and other early modern "heroines" in her 1982 dissertation under the category "Warrior Women" and revealed that of the 154 or so pieces, only about 34 turned out to be true, the rest were filled with fictional women.
One of these true women was Anne Jane Thornton the Female Sailor. She recorded her short story in a biography and became the subject of many ballads. The woman who was even invited before the king, and even allowed to have cake and wine with him. But the question is what is really true and what do we know about her and what is fictitious.

Tumblr media
The Female Sailor (x)
The young woman Ann Jane Thornton had arrived on the ship "Sarah" at Fresh Whart London Bridge in February 1835, after her sex had been exposed a few days earlier on the sea voyage. Within a very short time, her story had made the rounds and a policeman took her to the Lord Mayor of London, who subjected her to an interrogation. In it, she explained the reasons for her decision to pretend to be a boy. In the year of her unmasking, she was said to be 17 years old, which would put her birth year at 1718. Her widowed father had moved her and the rest of her family from County Gloucestershire (England) to Donegal (Ireland) when she was six years old. She admitted to regretting causing her father so much grief when she left him. The reason for her journey, according to the pamphlet (the ballad), was a captain named Alexander Burk, whom she had met when she was 13 years old. The two fell in love, but her lover was ordered to New York, where his father also lived. Without further ado, she decided to follow him. Accompanied by two servants, she got herself the clothes of a cabin boy and a passage to America. When she arrived in New York, Burk's father told her that her beloved had died. From East Point, she is said to have marched seventy miles through the woods to St. Andrew. There she signed on as cook and steward on board the "Adelaide" and then on the "Rover", sailing again to St Andrew and joining the "Sarah" under Captain McIntire, which then sailed back to London. She was at sea for 31 months as a permanent part of the crew. (x)
Tumblr media
Gallant Female Sailor (x)
This is the summary of the ballads. What is not mentioned, however, is that her discovery was not a particularly pleasant thing, because her comrades had found out that she was a woman and had approached her inappropriately and probably also abused her. Fearing that the torture would continue, she decided to tell the captain. At least that is what an anonymous short biography says.
After her discovery, she was interrogated in London and became the subject of the king's curiosity. Amused by her story and curious to meet a true warrior woman. He invited her to wine and cake, then placed her under his protection and assured her of a £10 pension. This made her a very desirable marriage match and eventually forced her to go back to Ireland to marry and raise a family and was now known as Jane Gallagher. But they were not lucky for long. Unlike the ballads, where it was only reported that thanks to the king she was now able to put aside her adventurous life and live as a happy wife and mother.
Tumblr media
The Era 23. May 1847
In reality, however, the couple became ill and on 3 May 1847 Jane succumbed to the unknown illness shortly after her husband. The mother of “many” children left behind "very young seamen" - as the Era article calls her descendants - all named after relatives of Queen Victoria.
The article also raises the question of whether the seafarer's children would continue to receive the pension. This suggests that the pension had continued to be paid annually after William IV's death in 1837. The author hoped that the pension would continue to be paid until the children would also join the Navy in the clothes in which their mother was unmasked.
Interestingly, her year of death is often given as 1877 in the media, but this is probably due to a typing error. The ballads also tend to differ in detail, as does the biography she wrote. Which is why it is difficult to say what is true and what is not. At least the part about her pension was probably true, but as far as the details of her journey are concerned, it is anyone's guess. But these ballads are just as much victims of time as folk tales and other orally transmitted stories and songs. They are subject to variations and changes. Such was the case with the one about Anne Jane Thornton, who, over time, had not sailed after an Alexander Burk, for example, but after a William Brown, another female Sailor.
But it was not that these ballads were distorted over time, but also by Anne herself. She published her own biography in 1835 and, having become a very honoured and famous woman, she adapted it to give her readers the adventure they wanted to hear in order to enhance her fame and fortune.
Therefore, we can only assume that her story probably only roughly corresponds to what actually happened to her. In the end, however, we know that she really existed. Which makes her one of a small number of warrior women who were actually at sea.

MUSHROOM cloud and SPORES in the Final Scene script
First thing first, I’m not an expert in biology, mushrooms and stuff, everything I write I found on Google.
So, the final scene script. It doesn’t really give a lot of the information we don’t already know. But it does reveal that the small particles from the Upside Down are actually spores.
Tumblr media
And the cloud of smoke spreading all over Hawkins is discribed as a dark mushroom. The cloud, where these spores come from.
Tumblr media
If it is intentional, and I believe it is, because the word spores is capitalized and hightlighted, I can see why the Duffer brothers wanted us to see the script of that scene. They showed us Argyle gathering mushrooms in the woods. Also I remember him mentioning something about mushrooms before, while speaking about Hopper’s cabin, but I can’t find it (or there wasn’t such moment???)
Tumblr media
In the same scene we are told he is a part of their eccentric club. By this the Duffers want us to know that what Argyle do/say IS more important for the plot than we may think. To be honest, he is the one who helps the guys 1) to escape from Lenora, 2) to find el - notices the tire tracks, 3) to make the whole piggypack operation happen. And the last time we see him he’s gathering mushrooms, cmon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, mushrooms and spores, huh. Lets have look what I’ve found about it.
What we call a “mushroom” is only one part of the organism’s life cycle. With most edible mushroom species, we consume and see only the fruiting bodies.
Argyle gathering mushrooms (fruiting bodies) and Argyle putting pineapple (fruit) on pizza must mean something!
These [fruiting bodies] appear toward the end of a mushroom’s circle of life. They are viable for only a few days, before disappearing or starting to break down as quickly as they appeared.
Mushrooms begin their lives as tiny spores, which serve as “seeds.” Wind, water and creatures carry these spores from place to place. When they find a suitable spot to grow, the next step of the life cycle begins. Just like plants, mushrooms have preferences in soil, temperature, location, climate, etc.
Hawkins is a suitable place for the Upside Down.
Tumblr media
Once the spores find an ideal spot, they start to grow into mycelium. These are, in essence, the mushroom’s root system. Mycelium is like a mushroom’s immune system. It also helps the mushroom grow strong and dense, and it helps with communication.
It reminds me of the tunnels in s2, the Mindflayer and the vines.
Then, that mycelium grows into “mushrooms” – officially called the fruiting bodies. Once mature, the fruiting bodies make spores and release them, continuing the life cycle.
This is what we see in the final scene - a black mushroom cloud and spores all over Hawkins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also I tried to find some symbolism or metaphorical meanings of the mushrooms and look what we have.
Mushrooms can be found in many fairy tales and folklore even today. And it is often so, that mushrooms are associated with the Underworld.
the Underworld = the Upside Down

Idk how to summarize everything, but the mushroom thing is a kind of foreshadowing. I’ve found one more interesting article to analyse, so maybe there will be one more post. Also I would like to hear your thoughts about all of it!!!

I don't know if this is asking too much (if so, I'm sorry) but could you write at least one shot from Paz Lives AU? About family daily life. Or Cabin in the Woods with Hunter, Spider and the twins? I love the dynamics you described and in the form of a short story it would be a masterpiece haha. But I also don't want to distract you too much from the original Canina or seem like Im asking for something all the time in an annoying form
Your not annoying me at all. And if I put Cabin on pause to write a oneshot then that's my choice, I'm fully capable of saying "I like that idea, I'll write it after Cabin."
I don't know if I'll ever write a Paz lives modern Au oneshot. I do have more of those bullet point thoughts written out that I just haven't posted yet but that might be as far as I go with that au. Same with the idea of Cabin with the twins. I like the idea in concept but I don't think I'll take in further then bullet point ideas. That being said I've got a lot of idea's for that au so allow me to share those now
So same sequence of events as Cabin, Paz is killed by a drunk driver while she's pregnant, only this time she's expecting twins and is already a mother to 5 year old Spider and 2 year old Hunter. the twins were able to be saved, Quaritch goes to jail for trying to kill Paz's killer, and all the siblings end up in foster care.
I was reading articles on why siblings are separated in the foster system for another ask and there are a few different reasons but in this case it would be 1. lack of resources. there are just too many of them and no one willing to take in four kids all at once. 2. Spider is of course traumatized from the sudden loss of both his parents and as a result gets super protective of his siblings, to a point where he makes it almost impossible for any adult to take care of any of them. 3. age. Spider is the only one who would be able to remember his siblings. the others are too little to be really bonded to each other. Because of all this it's decided that it'll be best if the kids are separated. The younger kids will all go to stable homes and Spider can get one on one help to process the loss of his family.
Spider never accepts it though, growing bitter at a very young age, hating and distrusting all the adults tasked with caring for him.
Remember in the Cabin prologue when Quaritch went to visit Spider in his group home? That happens here too only instead Spider is 7 and is over joyed to see his dad, begging him to take him away. Quaritch refuses, saying that he needs to get him and his siblings back legally but Norm still catches him and accuses Quaritch of trying to kidnap Spider. This too all plays out like in Cabin with Quaritch being dubbed mentally unstable and having his parental rights terminated.
After this incident though Spider starts running away from his foster homes. He's not specifically trying to get back to his dad, he just really wants out. He's found and brought back every time but as he gets older he gets better at it. His record is going 16 days without being found. He was 11 at the time.
When Spider is 12 he get's placed with the McCosker's
Nash McCosker is an abusive ass hole who screams at and beats Spider for the smallest offense. He threatens Spider with even worse if he tries to tell anyone about it.
So in the middle of the night Spider packs up his backpack and runs
It's around four in the morning, he's exhausted, it feeling like his lungs could burst he's been running for so long and all he wants is to lay down for a little bit, but he knows he can't. He only has two more hours before someone notices that's he's gone. So he forces himself to keep going
But then a car pulls up, blocking his path. The window rolls down, reveling his dad. "get in." he commands
Spider is stunned. A mix of emotions floods him. Shock, anger, grief. He hasn't seen his father since that day at the group home, years ago now. He had said he was trying to get him back. instead he seemed to have abandoned him.
Seeing no other options though Spider gets into his dad's car.
His heart breaks when they pull up to their old family home, now standing like a memorial of everything they've lost.
The moment they get inside Spider turns on his father, "Why did you leave me! You said you where trying to get me back! to get use all back! What the hell happened to that!"
Quaritch does his best to calm his son, explaining everything, that he tried to get them back the legal way but the courts where rigged against him and terminated his parental rights. That he's been watching over all of his kids but particularly Spider since his living situation is the worst out of all of the siblings.
He explains that now that Spider is a know run away he can just stay with him, living in their old home. No one will suspect Quaritch of kidnapping. If the cops come by looking for Spider he can hide in the attic until they leave. In enough time the search will be dropped and they can live peacefully
"but what about my siblings? how can we get them back?" Spider askes innocently.
"don't you worry about that right now. Papa's got a plan. For right now I'm more concerned about you. We'll focus on your siblings once your in the clear."
Spider's a nervous wreak the first few weeks of living with his dad again.
because this is the best he's had it since before his mom died and he's terrified that'll all be ripped away again.
His dad is just as paranoid listening to a police scanner every second of the day.
The police showed up with a search warrant after a month. Spider was safely tucked away in the attic long before they got there.
The entrance to the attic is in a closet on the second floor. it's easy to miss if you don't know where to look. It's completely un detectable after Quaritch hides it with mountains of junk typical for a hallway closet.
the police search the whole house and the surrounding area. They search that closet to. But they never find the attic.
Shortly after the search is called off. Miles "Spider" Socorro is just gone, with no hope of ever finding him.
Father and son are thrilled. they settle into a semblance of a life together. Spider can never really leave the house. His dad homeschools him, but it's no replacement for the social interactions he'd have at a real school. The isolation only makes the absence of his siblings hurt all the more.
It took his father months to even get Spider to go upstairs. The kid broke down when he saw his old room, still exactly how it had been when he'd been taken away. No matter how much time passed he could never bring himself to venture further down the hall. Every time he so much as glanced at the shut doors of his siblings abandoned bedrooms his heart ached.
It took time, but his dad helped him redo his old bedroom, turning it into something befitting of a preteen.
After six months of living with each other Quaritch took Spider out to "visit" his siblings
Hunter was 10 at the time. He was at school, quietly reading on the playground, his face so closely pressed into the book, his nose was touching it's binding, when a bully approached slapping the book from his hand. His father had to physically restrain Spider so he didn't go over there and kick the other kids ass.
Seeing Gunner and Ada was less eventful. The twins where 7 going on 8 at the time. Gunner was playing in a soccer game, Ada was on the side lines with her moms pretending she was a "witch princess" making a potion out of dirt, leaves, and rocks. Spider couldn't help but laugh at his little sister and cheer for his little brother every time he got the ball.
Quaritch and Spider go to spy on his sibling every couple of weeks.
Except in the summer. In the summer they go on a cross country road tip to stay in a cabin high up in the mountains. Spider loves the change in scenery but it still makes him a little sad. Because his father actually built the cabin himself for the entire family. So just like back home, there were three extra bedrooms, awaiting kids that would never live there.
I'm going to continued this in a part 2 so look out for that. Hope you enjoyed💞

Hawkins, Indiana
April 10th, 1692
“The Devil Has Come To Salem - Witches Are Everywhere.”
“What makes you say that?”
“It’s the headline of the newspaper, dear. Would you like to see it?”
The low crackle of wood burning in the fireplace took over the room. A middle-aged woman holding the newspaper shifted in the rocking chair near the bassinet where her one-week-old son was sleeping peacefully. She glanced at her husband, who was reading the Bible, and murmured, “Well?”
“I think not of it,” he responded after a long pause. “I try to stray from politics and other villages’ affairs.”
“Y/F/N,” the woman scolded. “How can you say that when articles are being published almost daily of the mass hysteria occurring in Salem as we speak? What if that hysteria comes to Hawkins?”
Outside of the couple’s cabin, thunder rolled in the distance. It had been a gloomy day. Everyone was restricted to their homes because of the weather.
“As you would know, Y/M/N,” Y/F/N said. “You’re not there anymore.”
“My childhood best friend was Elizabeth Proctor. We did everything together. Before I left with my family for Hawkins, we resided in Salem. We left because we thought the teachings of Reverend Parris were too harsh, and sometimes he acted as though he was above the law. When we moved, that was when I was a teenager, and that’s when I met you. You were already leading your ministry and doing a fantastic job. That’s what made me fall in love with you. I’ve been conversing with Elizabeth.
“She says poor old Rebecca Nurse had been found guilty of witchcraft and was jailed. She’s just an old woman! How could she do such a thing at her age? Hysteria can do a lot to the human mind, and we’re seeing it happen right in front of our faces. You should probably preach about it tomorrow.”
“And say what? We should all be scared of the Devil and spur the wrong notion?” Y/F/N questioned.
Y/M/N sighed, her eyes half-lidded. “I’m just simply suggesting what you should teach tomorrow.”
Before Y/F/N could reply, the door opened, and in walked their daughter. Y/M/N was alarmed, her eyes wide. “Y/N? What were you doing outside?! You are supposed to be sleeping!”
The young girl jumped at the noise of her mother and turned, her H/C, H/L flipping to the side. Y/N stuttered, “I, uh, um… I was hanging out with Anthony, Jackson, and Rhoda. We were dancing around a fire singing worship songs you taught me when I was a child.”
“You were what?” Y/F/N stood up while taking off his belt.
Y/N was very familiar with the punishment of whipping by his waistband, so she cowered against the wall in fear. Instantly, she quickly explained, “Father, we weren’t doing anything bad. Singing to the Lord is an important way of expressing our faith in Him. That’s what you said to me many years ago.”
“When you were a toddler, yes,” Y/F/N corrected. Y/N could feel his breath billowing in her face as if she was standing on a beach. She shivered as he continued, “But you are a grown woman, and you must realize that dancing is frowned upon at your age. You should be thankful that I approve of dancing until you come of age, Y/N. However, because you are officially an adult, you are no longer permitted to dance. Is that understood?”
Y/N hung her head, and in a barely audible whisper, she responded, “Yes, sir.”
“Good. I’m glad we’re on the same page. Go upstairs, child, and ask God for His forgiveness for the sins you committed tonight.”
She hurriedly scampered to the second floor, tripping over her dress. Y/F/N made sure she went to her bedroom, and after verifying she obeyed him, he went back downstairs to rejoin his wife. Y/M/N gave Y/F/N a disappointed look as he put his belt on again. “You know, I expect better of you. Y/N is trying to live up to your standards, and you degrading her every time she messes up makes me upset. Humans aren’t perfect. She is just trying to figure out who she is and her role in this world, and if that means letting her be a child, then let her. Let God teach and guide her now. You’ve gotten her this far; let her take the reins.”
He exasperated, strolling over to the window in the kitchen. “I suppose in a sense, you’re right. But dancing is a sin, and she needs to be properly trained to be a woman of God. That is my task as her father. When she entered the world, that was the task He gave me.”
“And me,” Y/M/N murmured. She approached her husband and smiled gently, “Be more open-minded, darling. It unlocks a lot of opportunities.”
After kissing him, Y/M/N went over to the bassinet and delicately grasped her baby boy, and ventured upstairs to the bedroom they both shared while the infant slept in her arms. Y/F/N stood by the fire for a long time, pondering and praying. His final thought before drifting to sleep was that the Lord had good intentions for his family.
THE NEXT DAY…
Morning arrived quickly. The Y/L/N household was the first to turn on its lights, for that was the home of the prominent preacher, Preacher Y/F/N. He was already gone and at the church when Y/N and her mother awoke. That was the routine for the family. As Y/N got dressed, she wondered if her friends got in trouble last night as she did. Well, less sparingly than her. Rhoda’s father was strict, so it was likely that she would enter the church with whip marks on her back. Thankfully the dress covered every part of the body so she could conceal it and not be humiliated by her punishment.
Anthony’s parents were sometimes clueless about what their trickster son was up to. Y/N knew he wasn’t a disciplined young adult- he acted like a child. Everyone around town knew that his parents didn’t raise him right. Anthony would get drunk and be passed out in the streets; other days, he was retired to his bed the entire day because of too much alcohol consumption. He was an idiot. It wouldn’t surprise Y/N if he didn’t show up for mass.
“Mama,” Y/N said after she washed her plate. “I’m gonna head to the church.”
“Okay, dear,” Y/M/N replied. “Also, I heard a new preacher is in town to help your father maintain the church while he battles his illness.”
Y/N paused, blinking. She eventually said, “But Father is doing well. I don’t see anything wrong with him.”
“Your father is slowly dying,” Y/M/N whispered. “He just doesn’t show it to you. Don’t tell him I told you that.”
Tears brimmed the sides of Y/N’s eyes. Sniffling, she turned away and left the cabin silently. She wanted to figure out the mystery surrounding the new preacher. Who was he, and what did he want?

Chapter - 12
(Percy's POV)
The next morning, Chiron moved me to cabin three. I didn’t have to share with anybody. I had space for my stuff: the Minotaur’s horn, one set of spare clothes, & a toiletry bag.
I sat at my own dinner table, picked my own activities, called lights out when I wanted, & not listen to anyone. I was utterly miserable. I had started to feel accepted, like I had a home in cabin eleven & may be a normal kid - I was separated as if I had a rare disease.
Nobody mentioned the hellhound, but I knew they were all talking about it behind my back. The attack scared everyone. It sent two messages: one, that I was a son of the Sea God; & two, monsters would stop at nothing to kill me. The other campers stayed clear of me. Cabin eleven was too nervous to for sword classes with me after what I did to the Ares folks in the woods, so I asked Nora for sword lessons. Honestly she was better than Luke was at teaching me.
Nora still taught me Greek in the mornings. She was the only person by my side when no one else was. I was grateful to her for that.
Clarisse kept her distance too, even though her venomous looks made it clear she wanted to kill me for breaking her magic spear. I wished she would just yell or punch me or something. I’d rather fight than be ignored.
I knew somebody at camp resented me, because one night I came to my cabin and found a newspaper dropped in the doorway, a copy of the New York Daily News. The article took me time to read so I gave up & went to Nora's cabin asking her to read it for me.
"BOY AND MOTHER STILL MISSING AFTER FREAK CAR ACCIDENT-BY EILEEN SMYTHE
Sally Jackson & son Percy are still missing a week after their disappearance. The family’s badly burned ‘78 Camaro was discovered last Saturday on a north Long Island road with the roof ripped off & the front axle broken. The car had flipped and skidded for a few hundred feet before exploding. Mother & son had gone for a weekend vacation to Montauk, but had left, under mysterious circumstances. There's no sign of the missing Jacksons. Residents in the area reported seeing nothing at the time of the accident. Ms. Jackson’s husband, Gabe Ugliano, says, Percy Jackson, is troubled-" she stopped.
"Okay, enough of this crap!" She tossed it aside, then sat cross-legged on her bed. I went & laid my head on her lap. We talked until eventually I fell asleep while she ran her fingers through my hair. That night, I had a horrible dream.
I was running along a beach in a storm. There was a city behind me. It was different: buildings were spread farther apart, palm trees & low hills in the distance. About hundred yards down the surf, two men were fighting.
They looked like wrestlers, muscular, with beards & long hair. Both wore flowing Greek tunics, one trimmed in blue, the other in green.
They grappled with each other, wrestled & kicked, & every time they did, lightning flashed, the sky grew dark, & the wind rose. I had to stop them. The wind blew me back, untill I was running in place.
Over the roar of the storm, I could hear the blue-robed one yelling at the green-robed one, Give it back! Give it back! Like a child fighting over a toy. The waves got bigger & crashed into the beach, spraying me with salt.
I yelled, Stop it! Stop fighting!
The ground shook. Evil laughter came from below the earth, it turned my blood to ice. Come down, little hero, the voice crooned.
The sand split beneath me, opening up a crevice. My feet slipped, & darkness consumed me. I woke up, sure I was falling.
My head was still on Nora's lap & she was asleep. She looked beautiful, when she slept too. I stroked a gentle hand across her cheek. Then I heard clopping at the door, a knock on the door. Nora woke up with a start.
"Come in, Grover." she said. How'd she know it was him? He trots inside, worried. "You're both here. Mr. D wants to see you guys."
"Why?" I asked.
"He wants to kill….I mean, I’d better let him tell you."
I’d been expecting a summons to the Big House. Since I was Poseidon's son, I felt it was a crime for me to be alive. But I didn't understand why he wanted Nora to come.
We left the cabin & headed to the big house.
The sky looked like ink soup. A hazy curtain of rain was coming our way.
At the volleyball pit, the kids from Apollo’s cabin were playing a game against satyrs. Dionysus’s twins were walking around in the strawberry fields, making plants grow.
Everybody was doing their normal business, but they looked tense. They kept their eyes on the storm.
Grover, Nora & I walked to the Big House. Dionysus sat at the pinochle table in his tiger striped Hawaiian shirt & Diet Coke, just as he had on my first day. Chiron sat across the table in his fake wheelchair. They were playing against invisible opponents.
"Well, well," he said without looking up. "Our little celebrity." I waited.
"Come closer." Mr. D said. "Don’t expect me to knowtow to you, just because old Barnacle-Beard is your father." Lightning flashed across the sky. Thunder shook the windows.
"Blah, blah, blah," Dionysus said. "You don't have to worry Nora, you're my little sister. Come sit with me." Nora smiled. Little sister?
"If I could, I'd cause your molecules to erupt in flames, we’d sweep the ashes & be done with the trouble. But Chiron says it's against my mission at this cursed camp: keeping you little brats safe from harm." Mr.D said.
"Spontaneous combustion is a form of harm, Mr. D." Chiron put in.
"Nonsense," Dionysus said. "Boy wouldn’t feel a thing. But I agreed to restrain myself. I’m think I'll turn you into a dolphin instead & send you back to your father."
"Mr. D, please." Nora said. His gaze softened when he looked at her.
"Oh, all right," Dionysus relented. "There’s another option. But it’s deadly foolishness."
He rose, the invisible cards drop to the table.
"I’m off to Olympus for an emergency meeting. If the boy's still here when I'm back, I’ll turn him to an Atlantic bottlenose. Do you understand? And Perseus Jackson, if you’re smart, you’ll see the more sensible choice than what Chiron feels."
Dionysus picked a playing card, twisted it, & it became a plastic card. A security pass. He snapped his fingers & became a hologram, then the wind, then he was gone, leaving the smell of fresh-pressed grapes behind.
Chiron smiled, but it looked tired & strained.
"Sit, Percy, please & Grover." We did.

Lakeside Wedding Ceremony
A lakeside wedding ceremony can be a truly magical and unforgettable experience, combining the natural beauty of the lake with the joy of celebrating your love. Imagine saying your vows against the backdrop of a serene lake, with the soft sound of water lapping at the shore and a gentle breeze rustling through the trees. A lakeside wedding ceremony can be a truly magical experience, combining the beauty of nature with the joy of your special day. Whether you're a nature lover, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for a unique and picturesque location to tie the knot, a lakeside wedding ceremony can create unforgettable memories. In this article, we'll explore the charm and appeal of lakeside weddings, from stunning locations to planning tips and ideas that will help you create the perfect lakeside wedding ceremony. Location, Location, Location One of the key elements of a lakeside wedding ceremony is, of course, the location. Choosing the right spot for your ceremony is crucial to creating the ambiance and atmosphere you desire. Lakeside wedding venues can be found in various settings, from rustic cabins nestled in the woods to luxurious resorts with panoramic lake views. Here are some popular options to consider: Lakeside Resorts Many lakeside resorts offer wedding packages that include stunning ceremony sites with lake views, as well as on-site accommodations for you and your guests. These resorts often have experienced wedding planners who can help you with all the details, from arranging the seating to coordinating with vendors, making your planning process smoother and stress-free. State and National Parks State and national parks often have picturesque lakes that can serve as a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding ceremony. These parks usually have designated areas for ceremonies and may require permits, so be sure to check the regulations and make the necessary arrangements in advance. Private Lakefront Properties If you're looking for a more intimate and secluded setting, renting a private lakefront property can be a fantastic option. Many private estates, cabins, or vacation rentals are located by the lake, providing a unique and exclusive venue for your lakeside wedding ceremony. Planning Your Lakeside Wedding Ceremony: Planning a lakeside wedding ceremony requires careful attention to detail to ensure that your special day goes smoothly. Here are some tips and ideas to help you plan a memorable lakeside wedding ceremony: - Weather Considerations: Since lakeside venues are often outdoors, weather conditions can play a significant role. Be prepared for changing weather patterns, such as sudden rain or wind, and have backup plans in place, such as tents or indoor spaces, to ensure that your ceremony proceeds without a hitch. - Décor and Styling: Lakeside weddings often lend themselves to natural and rustic décor themes that complement the serene surroundings. Consider incorporating elements such as wooden arbors adorned with fresh flowers, soft drapery to create a romantic atmosphere, lanterns or fairy lights for added ambiance, and natural elements like driftwood or seashells to enhance the lakeside vibe. Choose colors that complement the natural surroundings, such as soft blues, greens, and neutrals, and let the natural beauty of the lake take center stage. - Seating Arrangements: Depending on the location and size of your lakeside wedding ceremony, you may need to arrange for seating options. Consider using wooden or vintage chairs for a rustic and charming look, or opt for picnic blankets or hay bales for a more casual and relaxed vibe. Be sure to provide enough seating for all your guests and consider the comfort and accessibility of elderly or disabled guests. - Ceremony Flow: Plan the flow of your lakeside wedding ceremony carefully to ensure a seamless and meaningful experience for you and your guests. Consider incorporating meaningful rituals or traditions, such as a sand ceremony or tree planting, to add personal touches to your ceremony. Rhetorical questions can also be strategically used during the ceremony to engage and captivate the audience, such as "Can you imagine a more perfect setting to say 'I do' than by this picturesque lake?" - Photography Opportunities: Lakeside wedding ceremonies offer endless opportunities for stunning and romantic photographs. Work with your photographer to scout out the best spots for photos, such as the lakeshore, a dock, or a pier. Consider scheduling a pre-ceremony or post-ceremony photo session to capture the beauty of the lake and create lasting memories. - Guest Comfort: Remember to prioritize the comfort of your guests during your lakeside wedding ceremony. Provide amenities such as shade, sunscreen, and insect repellent to keep your guests comfortable and protected from the elements. Consider offering refreshments, such as chilled water or lemonade, to keep your guests hydrated during the ceremony. A lakeside wedding ceremony offers a unique and enchanting experience for couples who are looking for a breathtaking and memorable location to tie the knot. From stunning lakefront venues to natural and rustic décor, there are endless opportunities to create a truly magical day. By considering weather conditions, décor and styling, seating arrangements, ceremony flow, photography opportunities, and guest comfort, you can plan a lakeside wedding ceremony that is not only visually stunning but also unforgettable for you and your guests. Say your vows by the tranquil waters, surrounded by nature's beauty, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

White Velvet was inspired by a very specific weekend I spent working on the cabin with my dad. It was Valentine’s Day weekend, and there was a serious snow storm that was supposed to hit. My dad asked if I wanted to try roughing it and staying out at the cabin as a masochistic challenge. I figured I’d give it a shot. Since I was living at home and working remotely, I was spending a lot of money on various gorpcore pieces. For the uninitiated, this Grailed article provides the following definition: “Gorpcore—named after the colloquial term for trail mix (“Good Ol’ Raisins and Peanuts”)—is a style focused around wearing utilitarian, functional, outdoors-inspired gear.” I’d be lying if I denied that part of my motivation for working on the cabin in a snowstorm was to give me gorp credibility (I’ve worn my Arc’Teryx x Beams jacket in a snowstorm, I have the right to wear it walking around Soho!). That being said, the gear itself actually did protect me from the subzero wind chill as my dad and I hauled giant panels of plywood to close up the roof/walls of the cabin.
We closed in most of the cabin and covered any openings with foam insulation and tarp. Building a shelter and sleeping in it to protect from the elements was a special experience. Inside the cabin, it was still (literally) freezing; icicles formed on my eyelashes and my breath turned to ice on the walls of the tent, but we survived. As we drove home, everything was covered in white. It all looked so blank; the mountains that were typically shades of green or brown were completely devoid of color. The music I was listening to matched these feelings: the sounds are similar to Pinecore, but more abstract, more soft. Mazzy Star, The Microphones, and early Radiohead albums like Amnesiac were in constant rotation.
Around this time, I found my dad’s old cassettes. With nowhere to go and a lot of time at home, I often looked through and catalogued random old things I would find around the house. I was fascinated by cassettes as I was listening to a lot of ’80’s/’90’s music, and one of the most distinct memories I have was popping in a random tape of my dad’s and hearing R.E.M., Chris Isaak, even random old techno tracks. My dad never really talked about music, so finding a relic mixtape he made was special. Even more interesting, though, was finding my dad’s old answering machine tapes. Playing a mystery tape and hearing snippets of my dad’s friends, family, and previous partners’ messages from when he was my age was surreal, but connected me to him in a new way. I realized my dad really was my age once, with his own set of problems and relationships. In the same way my dad’s cassettes were so evocative of a specific point in his life, I hope this mix and all of the videos and photos I took during this period will be frozen in time too.

𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂 Born and raised in Astoria, in Oregon, Nate Sawyer was a perfectly normal boy in a perfectly normal town. His life was uneventful and plain, until one day his whole world changed.
Nate's father, Eric Sawyer, was a construction worker and was currently working on a project that was pretty dangerous. Everyone in his household were aware of the risks, but they had money problems and Mr. Sawyer couldn't miss out on this opportunity. The employers weren't really making any of the workers feel safer and this situation was very stressful on Nate's family and rightfully so. It took one false move for Eric to fall and he immediately died on impact.
Following the death of his dad, Nate couldn't go on with his life without him. How could he move on after losing the most important person in his life? He couldn't and that's exactly why he was so dedicated to bring him back. Obviously, everyone around him thought he was crazy, but that didn't stop him. Nate spent hours researching books, articles or anything he could find concerning resurrection. Even though anyone would think it was impossible to bring his dad back to life, Nate couldn't rest until he at least tried. Don't knock it till you try it, as they say.
𝑩𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓… After going above and beyond in his research, Nate eventually found out about black magic, a type of sorcery that was very dangerous for anyone who got involved with it. Rumour had it that an old woman from town that lived in the woods knew about this kind of magic, so he took a chance and went looking for her.
Sadly, she was no where to be found, but he did find her cabin, which appeared to be abandoned. He searched it, hoping to find at least something to guide him in his quest and luckily he found her book of shadows. A book full of spells and potions that could guide any experienced witch that looking to use black magic. You see, Nate wasn't a witch or neither a warlock, he was a newbie using a dangerous form of magic for the first time with no practice, so something wrong was bound to happen.
Stubborn, Nate didn't listen to any warnings and still went ahead with his plan. He got all the ingredients needed, went to the beach in Astoria and started the resurrection ritual with no hesitation. Luckily for him, it was a success and his dad washed up the shore like he had never died, but only drowned and survived. He couldn't believe it worked, but something wasn't right. The sky was getting dark, the air was getting chilly and it felt like a storm was coming. Out of nowhere, a lightning strike and then the water shined through the night sky. All of the sudden, more people were washing up the shore and waking up confused, just like his dad.
The dead woke again and they all had a reason they were chosen for another round on earth. The name of the spell was 'Unfinished Business', a spell that gives a second chance at life to deceased individuals that have some business they need to attend to. What Nate didn't know was, this meant his dad had to take care of his unfinished business within the next six months or he might slowly experience death symptoms and go back to hell…

White wolf & his omega
Tumblr media
Summary: On an endless mission to take out people for Hydra the assets scent’s you, the one thing he never thought he’ll be able to find – his true mate.
Pairing: Alpha!Bucky x Omega!Reader
Characters: Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Sam Wilson, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton
Warnings: ABO, ABO dynamics, angst, scenting, comforting, protective alpha, fighting, violence, blood, bad use of Russian language, true mates, mentions of claiming, kidnapping
A/N: Final sequel to: White Wolf - Part 1 & Her White Wolf - Part 2
Tumblr media
Wrapped in your alpha’s arms, sleeping peacefully you mumble his name in your sleep. Bucky is still wide awake, not due to nightmares or the guilt he still feels but to look at you. He’s calmer close to you, especially when he can look at the claiming mark he left during your first heat together.
He was still afraid the asset, the dark man inside his head, will show when he gives in to his primal instinct, but you had faith in him, your alpha.
Bucky nuzzles your neck, purring low when you whimper his name, moving closer to his warm body. Winter came fast and you are not used to cold, ice, and snow. You only lived in warm places so far which means experiencing a winter with frost and snow is new to you.
“Cold,” you scoot closer to Bucky, hiding your face in his chest whilst you press your body as close as possible to your mates.
“It’s warm, doll. You’re such a cute little frostbite,” Bucky smirks, watching you narrow your eyes at your mate. “Let me warm you up, Y/N.”
“You should sleep too, alpha. I know you got up to add more wood to the fire and that you cut more wood in the middle of the night,” you wrap your arms around Bucky, nuzzling your cheek into his chest. “I love you for caring about me, but I care about you too.”
“I promise to sleep when you hold me like this a bit longer,” you inhale the warm and calming scent of your mate before you close your eyes, holding the alpha in your arms. “Love you too, Y/N.”
Tumblr media
“No, it’s cold outside, Bucky,” you whine, not wanting to leave the cozy house you call your home for almost eight months. “Let’s stay inside and forget about food, please.”
“Doll, we need to get more supplies and boots for you, my cute omega. You can stay here, and I’ll drive to town to get all we will need,” Bucky watches you scrunch up your nose before you shake your head. Since your alpha claimed you six months ago you are glued to his side.
“I don’t want you to go alone. Last time you needed three hours and I was so worried,” you grasp your boots and coat. “I’ll come with you, alpha. Just a minute, I need to get my scarf and hand gloves.”
“I’ll wait at the truck for you, doll. Do not worry, Y/N. I will not leave without you,” Bucky laughs when you run upstairs to get your scarf and hand gloves.
Tumblr media
“We’ve got ladies toiletries for my doll, new razor blades for me to shave,” Bucky crosses all the things he found off his list. “Shampoo, toilet paper, shower gel, and a new loofah for my girl.”
You nod, leaning into Bucky’s embrace when he wraps one arm around your waist. “Got you a new base cap too, alpha. One in black and a blue one.”
“That makes two, Y/N,” you nod, pointing toward the shelf with sweets. “Sweets, got it, Y/N.”
“We got canned food, potatoes, and my magazines too. You said something about beer and water.” Bucky smirks, pointing toward the shopping cart. “My alpha already got it.”
“I did, doll. Now let’s check the list before we pay,” looking at the list you hum with every article Bucky crosses out. “We forgot your body lotion and socks. My girl needs warm socks.”
“I’ll get the body lotion, you will grab the socks,” pecking your lips Bucky hums, not wanting to admit he hates to let you out of sight.
Tumblr media
“Body lotion, uh-after shave lotion for my alpha, cherry lipgloss and a soft flannel for Bucky and me,” looking at the things in your arms you hear a snarl behind you. A younger alpha looks at you, a dirty grin on his lips.
“What brings you out here, sweetie?” He purrs but you take a step backward, not caring he wants to talk to you. “Don’t be shy.”
“I’m claimed and my alpha is with me,” you try to spare the young alpha’s life, knowing Bucky could kill him if he tries anything. “If you excuse me now, I got to go back to my boyfriend.”
“You did not answer my question, bitch.” The slap the man gives you hits you by surprise, causing you to stumble and fall onto your butt. A grin on his lips the alpha steps closer, towering over your shaking form and you do what your instinct tells you – screaming for your alpha.
“Omega,” it’s a matter of seconds before Bucky is by your side to help you up. He’s shoving you behind his back, giving the smaller boy a warning snarl. “Get out of my sight and away from my omega, boy.”
The soldier would’ve just killed the boy but Bucky, he tries to spare an inexperienced alpha’s life. The problem is – that boy ain’t smart.
“Why don’t you go for tea, gramps. I bet,” the alpha dips his head to look at you behind Bucky’s back, “your omega prefers a younger alpha.”
“Stupid,” the clerk shakes his head, offering to bring you away from your alpha but a deep growl leaves Bucky’s lips, and the kind beta steps away, nodding at your alpha.
The boy still doesn’t get he’s in trouble, even dares to step toward you until he finds himself pressed against the wall, Bucky’s metal fist around his throat.
“I warned you. That’s my omega, my girlfriend. Did your parents do not teach you manners?” Now the boy sniffs, choking on the word ‘sorry’. “I should kill you; rip you apart limb by limb.”
“Alpha,” your soft voice calms Bucky, holds back the anger threatening to let your alpha lash out. “Let’s pay for our things and drive home. It’s getting late and cold,” you place one hand onto Bucky’s arm, hoping he will let go of the boy.
“You’re right, doll,” Bucky drops the now whining alpha to the ground, turning his attention back toward you. “We should head out before it’s too dark to drive back.”
Tumblr media
“So much snow,” you watch the snowflakes fall outside the window, looking at every flake with curiosity. “I never thought snow would be that pretty…”
“…and cold,” pecking your neck Bucky snickers when you punch his chest playfully. “I mean it, Y/N. Snow is cold, wet, and will let your tiny toes fall off.”
“You’re awful, Bucky,” you grin when he hands you a pair of fuzzy socks, the ones he bought for you. “I’m sorry that I screamed for you. That guy, he scared me. I…I saw a flashbacks of the men at the room you brought me to that day.”
“Never apologize for seeking my protection, ‘mega,” Bucky nuzzles his face into your neck, smiling as you wrap your arms around him. “I will always protect you.
“I know, I just don’t want…” a loud knock disturbs your intimate moment with your alpha. “Who could come here at that time of the day? No one knows we live up here.”
“Stay in the living room, take the phone from my jacket and if anything happens, call Steve. Simply press the buttons I showed you,” your heart starts to race at Bucky’s words. “Don’t be scared.”
Bucky turns to walk toward the door while you do as he said. Hiding in the living room, you press the phone to your heart.
Scared something could happen to your alpha you glance out of the window to see four cops surround your alpha.
You can hear his gruff voice, he seems to argue with the eldest cop before he shoots Bucky thrice. Gasping you dial Steve’s number, praying he will come in time to help his friend.
“Steve, we need your help. Here are  cops, but they do not act like cops. I’m scared. Bucky told me to call you if anything happens, please…” You sniffle when Steve tells you to hide somewhere safe. “I can’t, Steve. I need to see who they are.”
Tumblr media
“Y/N?” Steve storms into the cabin, gasping as the whole house looks like a battleground. “Sam, Nat, look upstairs. Tony, Clint, I need your help downstairs.”
“Does your friend still wear his arm?” Tony smirks, getting his phone out. “If he does we can trace him. Let’s say I let someone put a nice little transponder at his shiny shoulder.”
“I don’t know if I shall punch or kiss you, Tony,” laughing Sam looks at Tony who seems to consider Steve’s offer. “We need to find Y/N first. The last thing she said was that they dragged Bucky away after one of them shoot him.”
“Is there a chance she’s still around? Maybe Y/N hides somewhere?” Natasha looks around the house, shaking her head. “We shouldn’t have left them on their own, Steve.”
“Do you think I don’t know that? I wanted normal for him and her. I had hoped we can keep Bucky and his omega out of this world for a while,” Steve sighs, listening to an odd noise coming from the kitchen.
“Kitchen, Capsicle. Go left, I’ll take the right side,” Tony silently walks into the kitchen, nodding at Steve who tries to find the source of the noise. “Sound like a wail or sob, Steve.”
“Shit,” Steve nods before he opens the supply cabinet to find you curled inside the cramped space. “Y/N, it’s good to see you.”
Whilst Steve helps you out of the cabinet, running one hand soothingly down your back Tony nods at his friend, pointing toward his phone.
“A house in town, Steve?” Confused Steve looks at you not understanding why the police should bring Bucky to a house in town. “Don’t get me wrong, I am glad it’s not Hydra, Rumlow, or the big bad guy hiding in the dark but, I would like to know what’s going on.”
“Y/N, did something happen? Is there a reason for them to take Bucky?” You nod, recalling what happened at the store. “Tell me everything.”
“We drove to town for supplies. Bucky was busy getting warm socks and I wanted to get the rest from the list. There was a young alpha, he scared me. I fell and Bucky wanted that guy to leave me alone, but the boy wasn’t smart. Bucky had his metal hand around his throat, but I calmed him, and we left,” you are shaking now, looking up at Steve. “Do you think that’s the reason they shot Bucky?”
“That’s fishy, Steve. If the fight was the reason to come here, why the destruction and violence. You said Bucky only talked to the men, right?” Nodding you look at Sam, feeling fresh tears well up to your eyes.
“We will find out soon enough. I suggest Steve, Tony and you go to town. Y/N and I will pack the most important things. Clint can check the surroundings and make sure no one sneaks toward the cabin to attack us unprepared,” Natasha holds out her hand, giving you a warm smile. “Steve got this, Y/N. He will bring your alpha back, promised.”
Tumblr media
“Tell me where the money is, bastard,” the man barks, punching Bucky’s face but the alpha remains stoic, unmoving. “The money!”
“I know they have a lot of it. Look at the car that bastard drives and the girl he has. No one would live out here in such an expensive house, driving such a car without money.” The boy from the store grins, lying through his teeth.
“Money?” Bucky spats blood onto the floor. He’s twisting his metal fist in the handcuffs, hearing the familiar crack of breaking metal. “Or is it the fact you tried to touch my omega and I had to push you a little,” the boy turns pale, looking scared at the men kidnapping your alpha.
“Omega? This is about some pussy, boy?” The eldest man barks, slapping the back of his sons head. “You said we can make fast money. Hell, I stole a police car and their uniforms from my laundry.”
“They have money, the omega is just a bonus, for me,” before the men can react Bucky rips the handcuffs apart, using the chair he was handcuffed to moments ago to knock the eldest man out.
“No…this can’t…” Bucky smirks when the boy finally realizes whose omega he dared to threaten. “The…the winter soldier?”
“James Buchanan Barnes, to be correct. But my friend prefers Bucky,” Steve bursts through the door, followed by Sam and Tony. “I guess you have this under control, Buck?”
“Is Y/N safe?” Worried Bucky looks at his friend, praying you were able to hide until Steve arrived.
“She’s safe with Natasha and Clint,” Tony answers your alpha’s question. “How about we give you ten and wait outside?” Bucky dips his head, glancing at the three remaining men.
“Give me five…”
Tumblr media
“Alpha!” Wrapping your arms around Bucky you sniffle into his chest. “I was so worried about you. I thought it’s Hydra,” you cry now, looking up at your alpha.
“I guess the cat is out,” Tony looks around the cabin, sighing deeply. “That boy, he recognized the winter soldier. We got to get the hell out of here.”
“We have to leave,” Bucky whispers, lifting your chin with his index finger. “It’s not safe here any longer, doll. I promise to protect you.”
“They shoot you,” carefully touching Bucky’s chest you sniffle. “Are you hurt?”
“It was a sedative dart. I think they used three until I felt dizzy. I’m sorry, I got careless, omega. This will never happen again,” Steve clears his throat, pointing at Clint who carries your bags toward one of the cars.
“We will bring you to the headquarters and see where we go from here,” Bucky nods, thankful his friend kept you safe.
“I don’t care where we live as long as I can stay by your side, white wolf,” you peck Bucky’s lips, sighing when he returns the kiss.
“Guys, I’m glad the white wolf found his omega, but we need to get out of here, like yesterday,” Tony insists, smirking when Bucky growls at him.
“We should go, alpha,” holding out your hand you lead Bucky toward one of the cars. “I packed all our things, including the fuzzy socks…”
“My girl needs her fuzzy socks,” you nod, letting your alpha wrap one arm around your shoulder. “I only need my omega, doll.”
“…and I only need you, Bucky…”

Will’s Hospital Scene, Will at Hawkins Lab, The Two Wills and the Newspapers About Will’s Vanishing
Tumblr media
So, something that’s ALWAYS bothered me SO fucking much is Will’s hospital scene. Why does it bother me? Well, why on EARTH would the lab let Will go to a normal hospital??? Even after Brenner left with some military guys & connie, there was still other lab staff there AND the lab requires keycards for most doors AND it has its auto lockdown thing- there’s no way Jopper could’ve gotten out on their own with Will.
And we NEVER see Jopper leave the UD with Will. We don’t see them come back out of that gate at all. And we don’t see how they left the lab.
The lab was prepared to KILL HOPPER and make it look like a suicide to prevent information from getting out. Why one EARTH would they just let Jopper AND Will leave and go to a normal hospital???
Tumblr media
And it’s hammered home AGAIN in S2 that the lab does NOT want Will at a normal hospital:
Tumblr media
But when we look at this paper about Will’s vanishing, from the end of S1, which I talked about here, and here:
Tumblr media
THE BOY WHO CAME BACK TO LIFE
By Benjamin Buck
The former missing child Will Byers has been found after a week of searching. He is presently in stable condition in Hawkins General Hospital. Byers’ mother, Joyce Byers Alleges that Will was the subject of a secret government program run by the Hawkins National Laboratory. The allegation comes amidst a massive investigation into the hidden organization and its elaborate experimentation in perusal of mind control.
The abuse detailed in the first report includes prolonged psychological duress and psychological interrogation. This government sanctioned torture has sparked outrage amongst the American (NOT VISIBLE). In a statement issues yesterday, Ives mentioned her “disgust” (NOT VISIBLE) the organization, saying “our own American people are being treated like the (NOT VISIBLE) we should be directing our attention to the real targets, the Soviets, not our own daughters and sons.” Under legal advice, Brenner has issues no comment on- CUTS OFF
Not only does this paper say that Will was found at the lab as an experiment, that paper also says that Will was currently at HAWKINS GENERAL HOSPITAL.
Just like THIS WILL is:
Tumblr media
He is 100000% at Hawkins General Hospital. That is the hospital, not the lab.
Tumblr media
Which means that THAT WILL, the Will at Hawkins General Hospital was found at HAWKINS LAB AS A TEST SUBJECT.
But there’s more. Like I talked about here, and here, this paper from S2 seems to be the SAME ARTICLE just with different contents. This article talks about Will being found in a cabin in the woods.
Tumblr media
THE BOY WHO CAME BACK TO LIFE
by Benjamin Buck
In a recent statement, the state coroner’s office has admitted to misidentifying the body recovered from the Sattlee Quarry as twelve year old Will Byers. Will Byers had gone missing two days prior, inspiring the (?) of Hawkins to form a search party in hopes of finding him. When a boy’s body was recovered from the Sattler Quarry, the case seemed solved. Six days later, local police lead by Chief Jim Hopper found Byers alive in an abandoned cabin a few miles outside of Hawkins. Police launched an investigation in the state coroner and have since arrested him. Chief Jim Hopper has- ARTICLE CUTS OFF
And like I’ve talked about here, and here, we have two different Wills in the vanishing scenes (warm Will and cool Will), and so I would bet that one Will was found as an HNL experiment, and that another was found in the UD and that we have more multiple timeline weirdness going on here. But we didn’t see what happened to the one in the UD. Like I said, we never see Jopper leave the UD. All we have to go off of for him is that newspaper article about the cabin in the woods. Which, we know that Nancy was entering and exiting the UD via trees in the woods…. There’s just something rattling about it.
Tumblr media
I would also bet that one Will has a birthday in March and one has a birthday in May. I don’t know how the whole scene of Jopper in the UD and how they got out all fits together yet or if it really happened or if they all just got drugged TF up by HNL and hallucinated it all (not auper likely but yknow my point is that there’s a bunch of options) or WHAT, but that boy in the hospital is likely not the one who was in the UD.
And also, the Will in the hospital suspiciously resembles warm Will rather than cool Will- both hospital Will and warm Will are smaller than cool will, and both have shorter hair.
Tumblr media
And Cool Will was the one with Vecna’s grandfather clock behind him… which makes sense if he was the Will in the UD….

Cabin Life - First Date
A/N: I seriously fell in love with this AU so hard. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in a cabin with Sonny. Once again, thanks to @berniesilvas for fueling this AU and letting me scream at her about woodsman!Sonny.

After that meeting, Sonny called you, asking you on a date. You weren’t quite sure what to expect; you were still new in coming back to the woods, and you weren’t sure what a date really entailed. But, your parents were quick to mention, if it was a date with Sonny Carisi, then it would be fine.
“Everyone loves Sonny; he’s the nicest guy around, and a breath of fresh air in the community,” your mom said.
He showed up at your place that afternoon; he lived in a cabin about a mile away. Within walking distance, but not something you would particularly do on your own. He didn’t seem to mind, though; he wasn’t even out of breath.
“Hey doll. I was thinking we could go for a stroll in the woods? There’s a meadow in between our cabins that’s just breathtakin’ in the setting sunlight,” he said, smiling.
You agreed, grabbing your coat; the autumn air was starting to get a little chilly. Your parents greeted him, and he waved back, telling them he’d bring you home at a decent hour. You stifled a chuckle; you were both in your late 20s.
Your shoes crunched over the leaves covering the ground, Sonny crunching along right beside you. He was telling you about his family, about how they wanted him to visit for Thanksgiving, so he’d have to go back to Staten. As he talked, your hands brushed, and you gently took his hand in yours. He tripped over his words for a moment, then smiled and interlaced his fingers with yours before continuing on.
It had barely seemed like you had been with him before you were coming out of a copse of trees into a meadow. Soft grass to your knees swayed in the gentle breeze, and bees buzzed from flower to flower. The sunlight was dimming as the sun sunk beneath the trees.
“Wow,” you breathed, and Sonny squeezed your hand.
He took a step into the meadow, then stopped and turned to look at you. “Just wait; it gets better,” he promised. Eyes wide with awe, you let him guide you forward into the meadow, your eyes trying to take it all in. It was simply beautiful.
Rabbits hopped through the grass on the other side of the meadow, and you caught a family of deer standing just beyond the trees, watching you.
“Ohh! Lavender!” you announced, your eyes finding the purple flower swaying just to the right of you.
Sonny turned and found it. “I love lavender; it smells so good.”
“It’s a natural stress reliever! I infuse it with my oils and lotions,” you replied, smiling at him.
His eyes widened slightly. “Ya do? Do ya make lots of oils and lotions?”
“I’m trying to make more, actually, as well as soap; I only just started researching natural, herbal remedies. Now, if only I could keep my lavender alive,” you said sheepishly.
He gave you a grin. “Ya know, I grow lavender, too, fer the bees. Maybe I could take a look at yours? See if I can help?”
“Oh, would you please? I’d be so grateful!”
“Absolutely, doll. And maybe once ya have some oils, I can buy some off ya.”
You gave him a look. “You’re not giving me a cent; you didn’t charge me for that slice of apple pie, and I’m not charging you for oils. Besides, here.” You took a lavender flower between your thumb and forefinger, crushing it, then held your fingers to his nose. “Smell.”
He did as you asked, the intake of air tickling your skin. “That smells amazing,” he sighed.
“You can do that for a quick rush of stress relief; it’s for a quick fix, not long term. But it helps,” you explained.
He grinned widely at you. “Well, I’m certainly not stressed right now.”
You opened your mouth to slip out a retort when you heard a little chirping by your feet. You glanced down and Sonny must’ve heard it, too, because he also looked. He gently parted a patch of grass and uncovered a baby bird there. It looked barely old enough to leave its nest, so why was it there?
Sonny quickly ripped his plaid jacket off his shoulders—exposing the tight, white shirt and his strong arms—then swooped down. Carefully, he picked up the bird, who was chirping incessantly now.
“Poor little thing; probably didn’t succeed in his first flight,” he cooed, his expression soft as he looked at the creature. Then, he glanced up at you. “I’m sorry, doll. Do ya mind terribly if we cut our date a little short? I wanna take this little birdy home, make sure it’s okay before releasin’ him.”
You felt your respect for him grow. “Not at all. Mind if I tag along?”
“I’d love that,” he replied, smiling.
************************
You followed Sonny to his cabin, the bird chirping constantly. He brought it inside, placing it on his kitchen table and taking a seat in front of it. You sat down next to him and watched the bird while he scrolled through article after article on his phone pertaining to nursing birds back to health.
“Okay, so, this here says that the bird may just be in shock, and to put it in a cardboard box with a slightly ajar lid or towel. Then wait ta see if it flies away,” Sonny explained.
You nodded. “Should we take it back to the meadow, then?”
“Yeah; it’s a lil’ far, and I don’t think he’ll know how ta get back….”
You stood, smiling, “then let’s take it back.”
Sonny found a small box, and he put the bird—still nestled in his jacket—inside. Then he gingerly picked up the box, and you both headed back the way you came.
“I’m sorry, doll,” he said after a few steps. “I’m just draggin’ ya all over the place, and fer no real reason, and we missed the sun settin’ in the meadow.” He looked to the darkening sky, and picked up the pace of his steps.
You placed your hand on his shoulder. “Sonny, you have nothing to be sorry for; you were trying to help an animal in need. If anything, that makes you more attractive.”
A pink tint appeared on his ears and the spots on his cheek that his beard didn’t cover. “You really think I’m attractive?”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “One of the most attractive people I’ve met.” That dopey smile of his grew twice as wide.
**********************
You both waited in the meadow until the baby bird finally regained its senses and flew from the box. Then Sonny figured it was time to take you home. You linked your arm with his as you walked, and he walked closer to you, your body heat colliding.Once at your cabin, you searched for something to say, to keep him there; you weren’t ready to say goodnight yet.
“Oh! The lavender!” you announced, and Sonny smiled, as if he knew you were delaying. You tugged him back to your herb garden, and he took a close look at your slowly dying lavender with the light of his phone’s flashlight. He touched the crumbling leaves, then the soil, his brow furrowed.
“What kinda soil are ya usin’?” he asked, his voice serious.
You rose an eyebrow. “Just…regular, I guess?”
He nodded before looking up at the black sky covered in stars, judging what, you didn’t know. “Ya may need ta replant it elsewhere,” he finally said. “Ya need soil with good drainage; this soil is a little compacted. If ya separated it from the others, put it in soil mixed with grit, it should do wonders here.”
“Ugh, you’re a godsend, Sonny. I’ll dig it up and replant it tomorrow. Thank you so much,” you replied, giving him a hug.
He chuckled into your ear. “Don’t thank me yet; wait ta see if that fixes the problem first.”
You leaned back, nodding and smiling at him. He grinned back, and then you were kissing, his beard tickling your chin. You both still had your arms around the other, holding each other close as your lips moved against one another. He licked your lips, and you sighed, letting his tongue explore your mouth, rubbing and dancing with your own.
Slowly, he pulled his lips from yours, then snuck another small kiss, then another, and another. Finally, he rested his forehead against yours, both of you breathing in the other’s air.
“Best. First date. Ever,” you murmured, and he huffed out a laugh against your lips.
“Even with the bird?” he asked, making you laugh this time.
“Especially with the bird,” you replied, and he smirked before kissing you again. You could never tire of his lips against yours, his beard tickling your chin, leaving a slight rash. Your hands when to his soft hair, and you grabbed a handful, giving him a soft tug. Everywhere he touched sent fire through you, and with his body pressed up against yours, it felt like you were an inferno. And you knew that from this moment on, you didn’t want to be put out.

Y/N L/N AND THE HALFBLOODS
Percy Jackson X Reader
-Y/N L/N met Percy Jackson and everything is now ruined.
Chapter 22: Then It Ended
Tumblr media
As soon as we came, Annabeth ang Grover tackled me. We were the first heroes to return alive to Half-Blood Hill since Luke, so of course everybody treated us as if we'd won some reality-TV contest. According to camp tradition, we wore laurel wreaths to a big feast prepared in our honor, then led a procession down to the bonfire, where we got to burn the burial shrouds our cabins had made for us in our absence.
Annabeth's shroud was so beautiful—gray silk with embroidered owls— Percy told her it seemed a shame not to bury her in it. She punched him and told him to shut up. Percy being the son of Poseidon, he didn't have any cabin mates, so the Ares cabin had volunteered to make his shroud. They'd taken an old bedsheet and painted smiley faces with X'ed-out eyes around the border, and the word LOSER painted really big in the middle.
As I was still unclaimed, Hermes cabin had made me one. (Just... IDK go crazy with your shroud IG) It was fun to burn. As Apollo's cabin led the sing-along and passed out s'mores, Percy and I was surrounded by my Hermes cabinmates, Annabeth's friends from Athena, and Grover's satyr buddies, who were admiring the brand-new searcher's license he'd received from the Council of Cloven Elders. The council had called Grover's performance on the quest "Brave to the point of indigestion. Horns-and-whiskers above anything we have seen in the past." The only ones not in a party mood were Clarisse and her cabinmates, whose poisonous looks told me they'd never forgive us for disgracing their dad. That was okay with me. Even Dionysus's welcome-home speech wasn't enough to dampen my spirits. "Yes, yes, so the little brats didn't get themselves killed and now they'll have an even bigger head. Well, huzzah for that. In other announcements, there will be no canoe races this Saturday...." Going back to the cabin I finally had time to talk to Luke. Who just expressed his relief of me being fine, and how he was scared when Annabeth told everyone about me. No wonder everyone was so shocked seeing me come back with Percy. On the Fourth of July, the whole camp gathered at the beach for a fireworks display by cabin nine. Being Hephaestus's kids, they weren't going to settle for a few lame red-white-and-blue explosions. They'd anchored a barge offshore and loaded it with rockets the size of Patriot missiles. According to Annabeth, who'd seen the show before, the blasts would be sequenced so tightly they'd look like frames of animation across the sky. The finale was supposed to be a couple of hundred-foot-tall Spartan warriors who would crackle to life above the ocean, fight a battle, then explode into a million colors. As Annabeth, Percy and I were spreading a picnic blanket, Grover showed up to tell us good-bye. He was dressed in his usual jeans and T-shirt and sneakers, but in the last few weeks he'd started to look older, almost high-school age. His goatee had gotten thicker. He'd put on weight. His horns had grown at least an inch, so he now had to wear his rasta cap all the time to pass as human. "I'm off," he said. "I just came to say ... well, you know." I tried to feel happy for him. After all, it wasn't every day a satyr got permission to go look for the great god Pan. But it was hard saying good-bye. I'd only known Grover a year, yet he was my oldest friend. Annabeth and I gave him a hug. She told him to keep his fake feet on. I asked him where he was going to search first. "Kind of a secret," he said, looking embarrassed. "I wish you could come with me, guys, but humans and Pan ..." "We understand," Annabeth said. "You got enough tin cans for the trip?" "Yeah." "And you remembered your reed pipes?" "Jeez, Annabeth," he grumbled. "You're like an old mama goat." But he didn't really sound annoyed. He gripped his walking stick and slung a backpack over his shoulder. He looked like any hitchhiker you might see on an American highway. "Well," he said, "wish me luck." He gave Annabeth and I another hug. He clapped Percy on the shoulder, then headed back through the dunes. Fireworks exploded to life overhead: Hercules killing the Nemean lion, Artemis chasing the boar, George Washington (who, by the way, was a son of Athena) crossing the Delaware. "Hey, Grover," Percy called. He turned at the edge of the woods. "Wherever you're going—I hope they make good enchiladas." Grover grinned, and then he was gone, the trees closing around him. "We'll see him again," Annabeth said. July passed. I spent my daysplanning out strategies with Luke for capture-the-flag and making alliances with the other cabins to keep the banner out of Ares's hands. I got to the top of the climbing wall for the first time without getting scorched by lava. From time to time, Percy and I would walk past the Big House, he'd glance up at the attic windows, and think about the Oracle.
I tried to convince him that its prophecy had come to completion. "You shall go west, and face the god who has turned." "Been there, done that—even though the traitor god had turned out to be Ares rather than Hades." "You shall find what was stolen, and see it safe returned." "Check. One master bolt delivered. One helm of darkness back on Hades." "You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend." Percy recited. "Ares had pretended to be our friend, then betrayed us. That must be what the Oracle meant.... Or maybe Nereid?"
"And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end." He sighed. "I had failed to save my mom and lost you..."
"So why are you still uneasy?" The last night of the summer session came all too quickly. The campers had one last meal together. We burned part of our dinner for the gods. At the bonfire, the senior counselors awarded the end-of-summer beads. Percy and I got our own leather necklace, and when I saw the bead for my first summer. The design was pitch black, with a sea-green trident shimmering in the center.
"This is so beautiful..." I smiled to Percy. "The choice was unanimous," Luke announced. "This bead commemorates the first Son of the Sea God at this camp, and the quest he undertook into the darkest part of the Underworld to stop a war!" The entire camp got to their feet and cheered. Even Ares's cabin felt obliged to stand. Athena's cabin steered Annabeth to the front so she could share in the applause. I'm not sure I'd ever felt as happy or sad as I did at that moment. I'd finally found a family, people who cared about me and thought I'd done something right. And in the morning, most of them would be leaving for the year. * * * The next morning, Luke called me. He gave me a paper, telling me to fill it out, and asked me to meet him as soon as I could. I knew Dionysus must've filled it out, because he stubbornly insisted on getting my name wrong: Dear (WRONG NAME) , If you intend to stay at Camp Half-Blood year-round, you must inform the Big House by noon today. If you do not announce your intentions, we will assume you have vacated your cabin or died a horrible death. Cleaning harpies will begin work at sundown. They will be authorized to eat any unregistered campers. All personal articles left behind will be incinerated in the lava pit. Have a nice day! Mr. D (Dionysus) Camp Director, Olympian Council #12 That's another thing about ADHD. Deadlines just aren't real to me until I'm staring one in the face. Summer was over, and I still don't know what to do. I had no where to go to. The only option I had was Percy's or maybe Hades was not joking about inviting me back to the Underworld. Sighing I decided to just meet Luke before filling it for second opinions. The campgrounds were mostly deserted, shimmering in the August heat. All the campers were in their cabins packing up, or running around with brooms and mops, getting ready for final inspection. Argus was helping some of the Aphrodite kids haul their Gucci suitcases and makeup kits over the hill, where the camp's shuttle bus would be waiting to take them to the airport. I was walking around looking for Luke. I jumped when I felt someone tap me from behind. I instinctively unsheathed my knife and turned only to see Luke with his hands raised.
"Whoa! Calm down just me." He laughed.
"Kinda weird seeing someone laugh at a knife pointed at them." I smirked sheathing my knife.
"I only laugh since its you." He smiled and ruffled my hair. "Are you done with everything?"
"Not really. I don't know whether to leave or not yet. That's why I came. Help me?" I asked him.
He turned to me and to the forest. "How about you hear me out about something... important and private... then decide?" He gestured towards the forest.
"Not planning on killing me are you?" I squinted at him.
He gasped. "Not you. Never. I would never hurt you."
I let him lead me to a shrouded area of the forest.
"How serious is this thing that you can't let anyone see? I am blindly trusting you here Luke." I laughed nervously. But when he didn't reply I felt something was off. "Luke, okay this isn't cool. How deep into the forest do we have to go?"
"Y/N remember when you said... You want to be the person I trust...? How you promised to help me?"
"Luke?" He took my hand and pulled me sharply. I winced at how hard he pulled me. "That hurts! Let me go!"
He snapped back and let go of my wrist. "I-I'm sorry... Y/N..."
As much as I knew I had to leave, I couldn't I was worried about him. I reluctantly placed a hand on his shoulder. "What's happening?"
"I did it..." I said and sat on the ground. "I swear I didn't mean to get you hurt. But, I confess to everything. I  stole bolt and helm, I summoned the hound, I gave Percy the cursed shoes... And just now, I tried to kill Percy Jackson." He looked at me with empty eyes.
I shot up and looked at him in emotions I couldn't put in words. "W-Wh---" I wanted to leave and check on Percy. But once again, seeing him right now... I need to stay with him. "Why are you telling me this...?"
"Join me... please?" his voice was weak. He sounded vulnerable. "Let's serve my Lord together..."
"L-Luke... no. I-I can't do that!" I took his shoulder, "Y-You should stay with me instead. How about that, huh? L-Let's explain to Chiron and the others... come on please. I could help you!"
Nothing was working.
"Come with me..." He muttered.
"Luke, I won't join you. You have to change your mind. You can't do this."
"I can't change my mind."
"I can help you with that? How about you go with me huh? I could spend all my time doing this and that. Please, just change your mind."
He didn't reply for a while until he whispered, "Promise me."
"Promise you what?"
"You'll stay with me."
"What? Luke I wo--"
"You won't join... Just...don't stay here for the year... and stay with me."
"I-If I stay with you... what would that mean?"
"Yo-You... might change my mind."
"I'll go." I replied with no hesitation. "I'll leave camp for the year. And I'll find my parent to prove to you that Gods and Goddess aren't all bad. We'll find my parent together."
"I do my lord's bidding--"
"You can still do it. If you want to. But whatever happens... stays only between us. I'll stay with you until I change your mind. And I'll bring you back to camp."
"I would never do anything to ruin your trust in me." He knelt down. It was kinda awkward but hey... "I need you."
Worry not hero. We shall stay.
"Please..."
We'll meet again. Wait for us, we shall join you soon. Now leave.
I had no idea what happened since when I came to Luke was gone and there was no sign of him anywhere. How were we going to st---
We will meet him once we leave. Now go as our hero needs us.
I suddenly remembered Percy's state that Luke had told me about. So I ran. I ran to the Big House
***
Percy finally opened his eyes. He was propped up in bed in the sickroom of the Big House, his right hand bandaged like a club. Argus stood guard in the corner. Annabeth and I sat next to Percy, I was holding his nectar glass and she was dabbing a washcloth on his forehead.
"Here we are again," Percy said. "You idiot," Annabeth said, "You were green and turning gray when we found you. If it weren't for Chiron's healing..." "Now, now," Chiron's voice said. "Percy's constitution deserves some of the credit." He was sitting near the foot of the bed in human form. His lower half was magically compacted into the wheelchair, his upper half dressed in a coat and tie. He smiled, but his face looked weary and pale, the way it did when he'd been up all night grading Latin papers. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "Like my insides have been frozen, then microwaved." "Apt, considering that was pit scorpion venom. Now you must tell me, if you can, exactly what happened." Between sips of nectar, he told them the story.
I bit my lip trying to keep what happened between Luke and I private. It was a risky move that would not be approved by anyone after all. The room was quiet for a long time. "I can't believe that Luke..." Annabeth's voice faltered. Her expression turned angry and sad. "Yes. Yes, I can believe it. May the gods curse him.... He was never the same after his quest."
Percy was looking at me as if checking what was my reaction to his story. "This must be reported to Olympus," Chiron murmured. "I will go at once." "Luke is out there right now," Percy said. "I have to go after him." Chiron shook his head. "No, Percy. The gods—" "Won't even talk about Kronos," Percy snapped. "Zeus declared the matter closed!" "Percy, I know this is hard. But you must not rush out for vengeance. You aren't ready." "Chiron... your prophecy from the Oracle... it was about Kronos, wasn't it? Was I in it? Y/N? And Annabeth?" Chiron glanced nervously at the ceiling. "Percy, it isn't my place—" "You've been ordered not to talk to me about it, haven't you?" His eyes were sympathetic, but sad. "You will be a great hero, child. I will do my best to prepare you. But if I'm right about the path ahead of you..." Thunder boomed overhead, rattling the windows. "All right!" Chiron shouted. "Fine!" He sighed in frustration. "The gods have their reasons, Percy. Knowing too much of your future is never a good thing." "We can't just sit back and do nothing," He said. "We will not sit back," Chiron promised. "But you must be careful. Kronos wants you to come unraveled. He wants your life disrupted, your thoughts clouded with fear and anger. Do not give him what he wants. Train patiently. Your time will come." "Assuming I live that long." Chiron put his hand on Percy's ankle. "You'll have to trust me, Percy. You will live. But first you must decide your path for the coming year. I cannot tell you the right choice...." I got the feeling that he had a very definite opinion, and it was taking all his willpower not to advise me. "But you must decide whether to stay at Camp Half-Blood year-round, or return to the mortal world for seventh grade and be a summer camper. Think on that. When I get back from Olympus, you must tell me your decision." "I'll be back as soon as I can," Chiron promised. "Argus will watch over you." He glanced at Annabeth. "Oh, and, my dear... whenever you're ready, they're here." "Who's here?" Percy asked. Nobody answered. Chiron rolled himself out of the room. I heard the wheels of his chair clunk carefully down the front steps, two at a time. Annabeth studied the floor. "What's wrong?" Percy asked her. "Nothing. I ... just took your advice about something. You ... um ... need anything?" "Yeah. Help me up. I want to go outside." "Percy, that isn't a good idea." Percy slid his legs out of bed. Annabeth and I caught him before he could crumple to the floor.
I said, "I told you ..." "I'm fine," He insisted.
He managed a step forward. Then another, still leaning heavily on me. Argus followed us outside, but he kept his distance. By the time we reached the porch, his face was beaded with sweat. But we had managed to make it all the way to the railing. It was dusk. The camp looked completely deserted. The cabins were dark and the volleyball pit silent. No canoes cut the surface of the lake. Beyond the woods and the strawberry fields, the Long Island Sound glittered in the last light of the sun. "What are you going to do?" Annabeth asked us. "I don't know." Percy replied. "I got the feeling Chiron wanted me to stay year-round, to put in more individual training time, but I'm not sure that's what I want. I also don't want to leave you both with Clarisse only." Annabeth pursed her lips, then said quietly, "I'm going home for the year, Percy." He stared at her. "You mean, to your dad's?" She pointed toward the crest of Half-Blood Hill. Next to Thalia's pine tree, at the very edge of the camp's magical boundaries, a family stood silhouetted—two little children, a woman, and a tall man with blond hair. They seemed to be waiting. The man was holding a backpack that looked like the one Annabeth had gotten from Waterland in Denver. "I wrote him a letter when we got back," Annabeth said. "Just like you suggested. I told him... I was sorry. I'd come home for the school year if he still wanted me. He wrote back immediately. We decided... we'd give it another try." "That took guts." She pursed her lips. "You won't try anything stupid during the school year, will you? At least ... not without sending me an Iris-message? Both of you?" Percy managed a smile. "I won't go looking for trouble. I usually don't have to."
"You already know my plans."
"When I get back next summer," she said, "we'll hunt down Luke. We'll ask for a quest, but if we don't get approval, we'll sneak off and do it anyway. Agreed?" "Sounds like a plan worthy of Athena."
She held out her hand. Percy shook it. She gave me a hug. "Take care, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth told Percy. "Keep your eyes open."
"You too, Wise Girl."
Then turned to me, "Good luck on your own quest Droopy."
"Of course Peabody." We watched her walk up the hill and join her family. She gave her father an awkward hug and looked back at the valley one last time. She touched Thalia's pine tree, then allowed herself to be lead over the crest and into the mortal world. "I made my decision." Percy said. "What's yours?"
"I'll be leaving camp... I'm going to look for my parent..." He looked at me in shock. "I'll be back next summer," I promised him. "I'll survive until then."
"Alone?"
I smiled at him.
"Don't you want to stay with us? Mom said---"
"I want to find my parent. I need to. I'll be fine Percy."
I helped Percy to his cabin so he could pack and went to mine. To my surprise I see a middle-aged man with an athletic figure slim and fit with salt-and-pepper hair, and a very familiar sly grin. He had bags at his foot.
"Delivery for Y/N L/N."
"Uhm..."
"Hermes." He said.
I froze and looked at him with wide eyes.
"Personally packed. As a thank you for what you're about to do." He smiled softly and handed me the bags.
"H-Huh...?"
"For helping Luke."
"I..."
Don't forget her mail!
Ooh! And tell her to bring us snacks next time we meet since it'll be often now!
No it wouldn't be often! She'll be with Luke!
"Both of you keep quiet." Pulling out a mail he handed it to me. "Luke... prayed to me telling me about your plan. He asked me to help you. I don't know what or why he did it. But I know he'll change thanks to you. So do guide him."
"Sorry you lost me at the talking air..." I blinked.
Hermes laughed and showed a caduceus. "It's just George and Martha."
"Hi?"
Hello!
Hi
"I just wanted to let you know. No god or goddess could see you. No matter how hard they tried. So your secrets.. are really secrets. Good luck on your travel."
Next time we meet you should have snacks.
Then he vanished.
Staring at the letter on my hand, I was stunned seeing it was from... my mom and dad.
Sweetie,
You've made quite a friend here.
-Mom and Dad.
I immediately knew where to look. I hurriedly took my bags not bothering to check the contents. I ran to Percy's cabin and helped him out so we could leave.
Percy got a cab and looked at me worriedly.
"I'll write you. Stay safe Arthur Curry." I ruffled his hair and watched him go.
I didn't know where to go so I just went to the first secluded area I saw.
"You have more stuffs than when you arrived." I heard someone behind me.
"You prayed to your dad. I hope he knows how to pack." I sighed turning to him. Turning around I barely made out Luke from the few days I last saw him. "You okay?"
"Do you know where to look first?"
Call upon our hound.
I whistled, I don't know why. But when I did, D/N came out of the blue. Luke looked at me and my dear dog, who was probably bigger than the hound he'd summon back then. "How do feel about L.A?" I said riding on D/N and making space behind me for Luke.

A change in fate

Chapter 09
When the final school bell of the day finally rang Marinette and her pack practically bolted from the building, before the braindead could catch them. When outside she told the others to go on ahead without out her, telling them she would meet them back at the hotel, and that she had to quickly grab something from her room. Chloe was a bit hesitant since the toxic shepherd and her herd were still lurking, but Marinette reassured her as best as she could making her lead the other three away.
The omega made quick work of avoiding her parents, not caring for what they possibly could have said in her migraine induced morning, and up to her room. After slipping in through the trap door the hidden kwami’s all came out of hiding. All very happy to see that the young guardian had recovered from the past morning.
The omega smiled softly at the little gods that cared for her wellbeing. She was truly happy to have found away to release the kwami’s from the box confines. Giving them a small piece of freedom, they needed. She hoped to give them true freedom one day, but for now they needed to focus.
“It is time for step two,” The noirette said, gaining the complete attention from all the little gods. Then they turned to one and other a silent conversation among the concepts of the world and gave each other a firm nod of agreement. “We are all ready to proceed young guardian,” Longg spoke firmly with the slightest hint of longing. She could tell and could not blame him for wishing to meet with his possible soul bearer, but she could not trust the dragon’s soul bearer just yet.
The guardian’s blue eyes turned to onto the light turquoise kwami nearby. “Are you ready?” The snake gave her a small grin. “I am.” “You better take good care of her, understood,” Pollen buzzed while giving Sass a fireless glare. To which he chuckled in return and gave his fellow god words of assurance, as Marinette grabbed the small box holding his miraculous.
-
After procuring the miraculous of change, along a thick binder filled with Lie-la’s inconsistencies and fever dreams, the omega hero made her way over the grand hotel. Upon arrival Marinette encountered Chloe’s loyal butler. He informed her that monsieur Bourgeois was in search of his daughter and so advised the dark-haired girl to take the long route to the nest. As to not alert the dumb mayor that Chloe now has taking more of a residence in her secret room.
Over the time that Chloe has used opportunity to redeem herself to others, she had become aware of how toxic her family was and had been distancing from her parents whenever she needed room to breathe. The staff had been happy to provide her with a special place for the blond within the hotel. One of the rooms had been modeled into a one room apartment specially decorated for the young alpha and kept off the books so that her father would not find it. When they showed her the room Chloe had burst into a sea of overjoyed tears, having been giving confirmation that she was indeed became a better person in the eyes of others. That had been such a relief for the girl and a great boost to her confidence.
Giving the beta butler her thanks, the omega made the long round way to Chloe’s second room that gained the title of the nest over the past months. Upon arrival and entry, the blue-eyed omega was met with the homely interior of the apartment, that made it feel as though you just walked into a hunter’s cabin in the mountains. To the right was the sitting/living area with a large half circle couch and two armchairs standing around a round red wood coffee table. A large flat screen tv hung from the wall infront of the sitting area, with several drawers under it filled with the girls collection of DVDs and blue ray’s. To the left was the kitchen area with a wooden bar counter that separated the kitchen from the hall and living area, around it stood four wooden fashionably cushioned barstools. In the back, past the doors that led to the bathroom and workspace, was a window seat bed that had been transformed into a large nest. Made from a mismatch of blankets, pillows and some articles of close from the two female occupants. A large deep dark red canopy hung from the ceiling that gave the two a feeling of a save close offed space, for whenever the one of the two took shelter here for the rut or heat.
The smile on Marinette’s face came naturally as she past the rooms threshold. This was a place of safety for her, something that her old home could never again be. How she often wished she could live here but her ‘parents’ would kick up a fuss and she really did not need the extra headache’s.
Her eyes drifted around counting all of the current occupants in the den. Nathaniel and Marc sat snuggled together upon de couch, enthusiastically discussing their new comic idea, Chloe was in the back near the nest looking for something in one of the large bookcases lining the wall and Tim was in the kitchen making the holy elixir, COFFEE. “Can you make me a cup too, Tim,” the female omega called out gaining her packs attention. Though Chloe was the only one that gave a verbal response in the form of a pained groan and calling her an addict. She ignored her friend in favour of focussing on the steaming cup of coffee that the dark haired prepared for her. She gave him a grateful smile and a small thanks as she took a seat at the kitchen counter and dropped her thick binder with a thud onto the wooden surface.
She took a careful sip from her given ambrosia and then pulled on her business face. “So now that we have all gathered, shall we get started on the downfall of the delusional spider and her plague of insects.” The crystal blue eyes glanced around the room once more and taking in the malicious smiles of her pack. “Oh yes, let’s get started,” the blond female nearly cackled as she pulled out to binders of her own. Yes, they were ready for the hunt.
-
And so started of several hours of compiling all the tall tales that had past Rossi’s lips from the lady blog, their phones and school camera’s, curtesy of Tim’s hacking skills. But as people will agree after a certain amount of time one gets side-tracked, especially if you have a petty alpha female wanting revenge. Surprisingly the two male omegas’ were very much on board with the pettiness.
“But wouldn’t she simply blame Marinette,” Chloe interjected. She and the male omegas having a thorough discussion over how to trick Lie-la into spraying herself with skunk musk. They discussed it for over an hour.
“Not unless she believed it to be a gift for Marinette,” Marc began to supply, making Chloe pull a face. “She would say she was so thankful for the gift while just taking it,” The jade eyed male continued. “But either me or Tim or me would say it was for Mari,” Nathaniel took over, “She in a fit her supposed supremacy will spray herself and then come to the horrid realization of the disgusting odour. This will work in our favour two ways. One Lie-la will smell just as horrid as her soul is,” “And two, because they will think we ‘tried to do this on Mari’ we can get in the flies good graces and here about any possible plots to hurt our leader and prepare for that accordingly.” Marc finished, devious smiles on both his and boyfriend’s faces.
“You two are bloody devils,” The blond alpha started, eyes filled with wondered surprise before beginning to laugh gleefully. “And I love it!” she exclaimed as Marinette and Timothy were just finishing up all the processed evidence that they had gathered. Next time they were going to look into things Lie-la had done before she had come to Dupoit. But for now, it was pack bonding time.
-
“I AM DISCUSTED, I AM REVOLTED, I DEDICATED MY INTIRE LIFE TO THE ARTS AND THIS IS THE THANKS I GET!!!!!!” Nathaniel roared as he hurled his sketchbook.
“Nath please cal-”
“NO Marc he is right. They gods have deceived us. COLOUR IS A LIE!!!” Marinette exclaimed as she threw her sketchbook across the room. Whirling around she grabbed the redhead and raised her hand to the window. “OPEN THE WINDOW WE MUST FLY!!!”
“NNNOOOOO!!!!!!!”
-
“Mari, Tim, put the mugs down,”
The two in question raised the offending cups to their lips.
“I swear to the powers from the beyond, don’t you two dare drink that! That is your fifth cup in the past thirty minutes.”
The alpha omega duo took exaggerated sips from their cups, the sound penetrating the air. Within seconds the blond was chasing around her two coffee addicted friends around the room in a made chase screaming profanities every so often. The two coffee worshippers always two steps ahead of the girl with surprising agility, not letting a single drop of the elixir of life spill from their containers. Whilst Nathaniel and Marc watched the chaos from the couch unfold, sharing a bowl of popcorn.
-
After a long chase, that resulted in Chloe’s loss, the pack had nestled themselves on the couch and chairs around the tv. They had some action movie playing and were making all sorts of critics, on the fight scenes mostly. It made for a rather peaceful atmosphere.
Marc and Nathaniel were snuggled together within a wool blanket on one of the large armchairs. Chloe and Marinette had claimed the couch, their heads on opposite ends and legs tangled in the middle.  Tim sat on the other chairs, his legs dangling over the side and hid eyes taking in more the people around him then the movie. Taking in every detail of the scene around him and committing it to memory as his senses were lulled by the peaceful atmosphere, making him feel safe.
-
As the late evening came Marc, Nathaniel and Tim went to their own homes, begrudgingly. Leaving Marinette and Chloe in the nest, for Mari had no interest in returning home for the night. And she also had a mission to fulfil.
The two having just finished the dishes, from the room served meal, sat curled up in the nest/bed area talking about the day events and other random thoughts. When, to Chloe’s surprise the noirette omega took on a far more serios exterior. Her blue eyes calculating and analysing the blond before her and her posture straight as an arrow and rigged. “What’s wrong Marinette?” the alpha asked, using her full first name instead of one of her nicknames.
Taking a small breath, to try and calm her nerves, Marinette spoke: “I need to ask a favor of you Chloe Bourgeois, something of great importance. But I need to know that I can fully trust you with what I am about to ask of you.” The mayor’s daughter opened her mouth to say that ofcourse she could trust her, but the darked haired held up her hand to stop her having not yet finished. “I know that I can trust you with anything that happens in our normal lives, but this is not something that can be considered normal and many things are at risk,” she took a moment to let the gravity of the situation sink in. “So, I need to know that I have your compete loyalty and that you will always have my back trough whatever may come. I need to know that you will not stab me in the back,” the last part had been whispered almost so quietly that Chloe might not have picked it up had she not given the omega her full attention.
The last words that were spoken stung the blond a bit, but she understood the meaning behind them more then anything. For those she had once considered her most trust pack members had turned their back on her for the stupid lies of a filthy leach that now trespassed on their territory. She understood the words very well. But Marinette asking this meant that she trusted Chloe so much that she was about to reveal possibly one of her most precious secrets to her friend. A swell of pride and determination flowed through the alpha as the implications of her request made itself clear in the former bully’s mind. And she swore not to let that trust in her go to waist. Chloe poised herself and stared straight into Marinette’s eyes conveying as much determination as the blond could muster through her gaze and scent.
“Marinette, you have given me so much even after all the years of torment I dragged you trough. You forgave me when I finally got my act together which was already more then I deserved, but you also let me join your pack and supported me as I tried to see what I needed to do to become a better person. You made me realize what I truly needed to be happy and because of that I have finally found who I want to be. I will never be able to fully for all that you have done for me. So, whatever secret you share with me I will take to the grave, whatever deed I must do no-one will lead it back to you. I will have your back in all the fights that are to come,” she took a deep breath, to keep her rage for those who did betray the omega at bay, but gaze filled with determination. “I swear I will never betray you for as long as I breath. That I assure you,” Chloe finished.
Marinette could feel her eyes tearing up, but she forced herself not to let any of the tears fall. No was not the time for tears. Even so, the words and emotion that the blond had expressed made Mari so happy and it took away all of her doubt. For no lie was uttered and the absolute devotion coming from her alpha friend sealed that fact.
Carefully she pulled out a dark octagon box with a red sigil painted on the lid. A box the omega knew Chloe recognised. She smiled at the wide eyes she got from her friend before dawning her hero persona. “Chloe Bourgeois this is the miraculous of the snake, that will grant you the power of change. I, Marinette Dupain-Cheng former hero known as Ladybug, current true holder of peafowl and guardian of the miraculous ask you to join me in the fight to end the terror of Hawkmoth. Will you accept?”
A long tense moment of silence followed after the proposition was finally spoken. Both party’s staring intently at the other, their minds whirling with uncoordinated thoughts and question, as fate awaited an answer.
Hesitantly Chloe broke the silence not with an answer to the question, but with a question of her own. “Am I worthy of a miraculous?” Her self-doubt shining through in the quiver of her voice.
Marinette’s demeaner softened at her friend a surge of reassurance washed over the omega, she made the right choice. “Yes Chloe, you are most definitely worthy of a miraculous,” Marinette assured, but could see that the blond was not fully convinced. “You said it yourself, you have taken the road to better yourself in both in your own eyes and the eyes of others. I and many others have been beside you watching you take that rocky road head on and witnessed the fruit it bore. From all the people you helped with charities and donations, from the kids in the hospital that smile so brightly every time you come to visit, form Trevor and Miranda who practically see you as their own daughter, from our friends that would come running at slightest of whispers of you being in danger. I assure you that you are worthy to wield a miraculous. So will you stand beside me as my partner and friend through the coming battles?”
As the finale words sunk in, Chloe felt her resolve strengthen. Whipping away the tears that had gathered in her eyes she gave her friend another look of determination, as she took the small box from Paris’s true hero hand. “I would be honoured,” the blond spoke receiving a grateful smile from the noirette in return.
Opening the box, a turquoise glowing orb circled around the alpha, making her reminisce of her first meeting with Pollen, before the orb took on the form of a snake like being. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Chloe. I am Sass, the kwami of change,” the snake kwami spoke. “The feeling is mutual,” Chloe replied sincerely as she took the miraculous from its confines and placed it around her wrist. The band camouflaging the moment it was clipped on. The twisting turquoise band turning into a single rose gold band with two swirls circling a sapphire rose with a few clear diamonds. As the miraculous settled the new kwami and wielder pair turned to the young guardian with Duusu now floating beside the omega.
“I will have you know that I have many questions for Dupain-Cheng,” the female alpha said without any heat behind her glare. Making Marinette give a small at her friend. “I would not expect anything less from you,” Mari sighed light heartily, before she turned a bit more serious once more. “But let me first tell you the full extend of what has been going on.”
Author note: This chapter was honestly hard to write, with the heart to heart between Chloe and Marinette being an especially hard point, but I hope you could still enjoy the chapter it and please tell me what you think of the story so far.
