Skz as Mythical creatures

Bang Chan - Werewolf. There's nothing to question here about this. Man literally gives so much wolf vibes that writers on Tumblr use wolf memes for his smaus. But also werewolves have been used throughout history to provide a sense of wisdom combined with misinterpretation. Wisdom, in the form of living and going through so much in their moon drunk lives. And like is that not Chan?

Lee Minho: A warlock. Warlocks are basically wizards who get their magic from evil sources. They conjure magic called 'blue magic' aka evil magic from shady sources and repay that debt with their own blood. They have been known to help people from time to time but only the people who need it the most, like a raped woman who no one believes. Oh also they are known to have cats as their companions! And they live very secluded lives usually in forests and grow mushrooms. My brain is dying thinking about evil warlock Minho cause my standards are so fucked up

Seo Changbin: A dragon. Listen LISTEN TO ME. I chose a dragon for Changbin, because they have many myths of false appearance. When I first got into skz, I really though our Binnie was the most serious person in this group. But then I saw how those hips moved, and I was like 'oh so he's Barbie and Shakira combined and put into one man'. Dragons are known as fierce creatures who protect the gold that they hoard and destroy villages, but how much of that is true? Mostly they do it to protect themselves and the gold which they have rightfully earned. Also they are extremely loyal and friendly once you understand them and don't harm their loved ones (yes even dragons have loved ones)

Hwang Hyunjin: Selkie. Selkies are basically mermaids, who originate from Scotish folk tales (trust me they are VERY popular here). They turn into seals in water and turn back into human if daylight or moonlight touches them, Aka if they come on land. They are very dual creatures, being pretty and kind to most humans, especially women, but they can also be the most savage beasts when it comes to men who have corrupted for their own pleasure. Their siren songs are very captivating and they are known to make art out of conch shells.

Han Jisung: A shapeshifter. Han Jisung is truly a puzzle. Like man could be intense babygirling one moment and then two seconds later literally kill all of us with wavy hair, sweaty face and those fingers playing the guitar finger kink go brr. Jisung is more fitting to the shapeshifter brand when you realise that the humans who used to be good at doing everything and not crack under intense pressure were awarded this shapeshifting power by the Gods. So yeah our fourth gen ace would definetly be a shapeshifter.

Lee Felix: A fairy. Need I explain anything? Need I even write an entire essay about this? (Already wrote it but fine). He would definitely be a healing fairy. Like he would whip up medicines and hide them in his delicious brownies to trick unwilling children into taking them (MY HEART IS TOO WEAK FOR FELIX HANDING OUT BROWNIES). He would def live in the woods in like a tiny cottage, which is decorated with creepers and vines and soft moss, where he rests his pretty wings, excuse me I need to write something on this.

Kim Seungmin: A nymph. Nymphs are actually more powerful than they are portrayed nowadays. Many of them were sons and daughters of river or tree Gods and they used to possess the quality of being able to fic someone in a trance with their voices. LIKE HELLO? MR KIM SEUNGMIN WITH THAT GOLDEN VOICE? Also they were known to be mischievous, always teasing pixies and fairies and taunting beings older than them. (I am not making this up yet legit used to taunt old trees for being so old and wise because nymphs never used to age or they would age VERY slowly)

Yang Jeongin: A vampire. Alexa play Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo please. I mean dude's literally immortal I'm telling you. He looks LIKE THE SAME PERSON EVEN WHEN HE WAS A CHILD LIKE HOW? If y'all look at me, I look like a completely different person from when I was a kid. And also there's something about our baby bread that just screams vampire vibes. Like he would totally live in a castle all alone, drinking blood and having foxes as pets.

She was born on 16 April 2002(I'm not sure. I've calculated it on calculator). Her family is rich. Her house is a mansion, with many great antique things from her generation.

Wonder what's that pink thing on her skin? It's a curse from one of the greatest enemy of their family, (I can't name them, I had no idea). She was burned on her face by accident at some sort of war, which sadly it was a permanent scar. The permanent scar soon made the pink curse.. it was not a normal fire.

It's (insert fire name here cuz i don't have any ideas). One of the most powerful fire after Samadhi fire.

1: Which part of the series was your introduction to HTTYD? How old were you when you first became a fan?

The first movie. Flat out, it started with the first How to Train Your Dragon movie. Since then, I've watched everything related except for Rescue Riders and The Nine Realms. As for the books, I've only gotten to read the First one, but I'd love to read the rest!

Honestly I truely don't remember how old I was when i had first seen it, I do remember a vague memory of when I was like 6 or something, there was a pile of cords on the floor and I was doing the "Dragon Dance" (The Forbidden Friendship scene lol) around them. I also remember trying to help my mom find the episode or movie where the dragon glowed (Fright of Passage, I actually remember seeing it on screen on the TV network I was watching) and getting the wrong show entirely lol. I also remembered watching A Time to Skrill and Bad Moon Rising on the TV as well, before I knew that they were shows for HTTYD. There's so many memories, but I think those are the earliest (and frankly most treasured)

4: What is your favourite type of dragon and why?

Oooh tough one. It's either between the Skrill (Lightning dragon go brr) and Deadly Nadders, I guess I like dragons with spikes and no front legs lol.

He sure is... he sure is. I'm even luckier because he's mine now. I think I bought Orion when he was a hatchling--one of those 'I'll buy a hatchling, wait for them to grow up, train them up a bit and exalt them'. He was handsome, though, so I held onto him. This is his wife.

Also, that's an absolute mood, lol! That's part of the reason why I changed my avatar a while ago and only committed to changing the username yesterday. I figured it'd probably make it easier to recognize me once I did change over.

My old period of Flight Rising's been stoked, so here's a few more of my favorites:

Cornifer (the yellow dragon above) is first-generation! I got him when the Obelisk dragons released. Yes, he is named after and inspired by Cornifer from Hollow Knight. He's a map maker. I'm never letting him go if I can help it.

Two platonic dads and their trans, evil adoptive son. Wally's pet is trans-colored to add to the Lore. Candyrock is a lot more serious than Ochibashigure. I think it's the Shardflank.

Ochibashigure's name roughly translates to 'leaves of fall on water', which is fitting because of his color palette and pattern. The pattern's called 'mosaic' but I always think of koi when I see it on him.

Sundae and Vanilluxe are battle lesbians. That's all you need to know. I also drew them.

Dragon Bros for the theme go brr.

This has a fucked up scene, so Trigger Warnings: Torture.

Grian, False, Bdubs and Mumbo, all dragon hybrids, had come back, exhausted and horrified and with one thought in their heads: Iskall got captured.

During the night, they thought it would be funny to scare some of the local villages tomorrow. But at the first one, things went sour fast - they fought back with aerial projectiles, and soon Iskall got hit by a spear at the base of his wing and plummeted. False and Mumbo nearly got the same fate when they followed him to the ground, and everyone was getting too wounded from the arrows. If they stayed, they would all be captured.

So they fled.

With guilt, panic and adrenaline holding the pain at bay, they flapped all the way back until they collapsed back home. As they were catching their breath and bandaging themselves, their minds were racing thinking about a plan to get Iskall back.

It took weeks between planning and scouting for them to risk the village again, barely fully healed from last time. Mumbo and Bdubs distracted the guards while False and Grian sneaked past, wearing cloaks and scarves to hide their dragon bits. Through gossip and chatting with the locals, they pieced together that he was in some sort of underground dungeon, accessed only by the guards. It was too bright to risk a break out now, so for now they regrouped to try at dusk.

During a lull of guard shifting, False took down four guards, grabbing the armour and keys then telling everyone to put on set on as she made a pile of bodies. It wasn't a perfect fit, but it would make do. They had limited time to execute the break out, since at any moment those guards would wake, and alert the rest.

Bdubs located the trapdoor that led to the dungeons, soon unlocking every door and whisper-shouting out to Iskall in the dark.

When they finally found him after what felt like an eternity, they gasped.

Iskall looked terrible. Heavy shackles tethered him to the wall, leaving his ankles and wrists rubbed raw. His injured wing slumped limply down the wall, with fresher wounds slashing through his back and sides. He looked up at them, eyes tearing up in relief when he recognised them through the metal.

Mumbo got to quick work unlocking the shackles while the rest looked for anything else.

False found another way out, this one more private.

Bdubs found a sheet and 4-man sling.

Grian found something worse.

For the next paragraphs - Trigger Warning: mentions of torture.

A large room that stunk of decaying meat, with one side covered in hooks and one end of that wall holding old dragon wings, tails and claws. A bloody table was near the end wall with all sorts of dirty cutting equipment layed neatly across it. Books held records of recent invasions, including lost lives and livestock, how many where were, and any captured.

Skimming through he found what they did when a dragon or dragon hybrid was caught: they left them to starve so they were too tired to fight back, before de-winging, de-clawing, and cutting off their tail and throwing them back outside to fend for themself and as a example to any other invaders what would happen if they caught them trying. Grian felt like he was going to be sick.

Safe past this point.

They all came back after hearing the last shackle hit the floor, and a noise of commotion from outside hinting of the guards waking up. They frantically covered Iskall in the sheet and carried him out using the sling and back exit, getting a safe distance away before dumping everything, holding him close to them, and flew back home as fast as they could, not daring to look back.

It takes everything in them not to turn back and raze that village to the ground. They know they have to eventually. Grian won't tell the others what he found - simply shaking his head. But they can't let that place stay standing to hurt another innocent dragon.

First, though, they need to rest. Iskall is curled up in their nest, Bdubs fussing over his wounds whilst Mumbo sleeps against his chest. False hovers by the windows and doors, always looking outwards. And Grian just... Sits. He sits and stares at the floor.

He doesn't realise how much time has passed until a plate of food is being slid in front of him. False sits across from him a few minutes later, and they eat in silence.

Bdubs gives the prognosis - Iskall is awake. He's not sure how well his wings and other wounds are going to heal, they'll find out in the next few days. But Iskall's a fighter, they all know that. He'll pull through.

The challenge is: the rest of them have to as well.

you are challenged by couple bucky and zemo! why yes i do only draw to cater to myself why do you ask. obligatory pokemon au for bdsp day, everything is the same except they have cool monsters because they deserve it. their full teams and the reasoning behind my choices are under the cut because i am a massive pokemon nerd

silvally (ace): okay so silvally is the obvious choice, literally made by an evil organization for the purpose of killing things. i didn’t know what memory to give it, so i just went with the ice memory because winter or something

hisuian zoroark: we dont know much bc new game but a destructive and baneful white lupine pokemon from a distant region that emerged after perishing in the winter? white wolf. also has sick eye makeup

hydreigon: hydra remnants go brr. i just think bucky deserves a cool dragon also

meowstic (f): white feline pokemon. calming abilities. alpine

lucario: i mean honestly this is just a winter soldier reference somehow. fighting steel dog its somewhere in there

rampardos: bucky’s partner from the 40s. there’s a fossil joke to be made in there somewhere. rampardos is commonly paired with bastiodon, a shield pokemon, so i think there’s a really good opportunity to work w steve there too

zemo’s team:

mewtwo (ace): also kinda obvious ace. one of a kind pokemon genetically modified in a lab to be incredibly powerful and also incredibly vicious, and is known for manipulating its victims. zemo probably also has the mewtwonites cuz hes dramatic like that

sawsbuck: sawsbuck is very regal in all of its forms and i think it fits but i mainly picked this because its spring form has cherry blossoms on its antlers

yamask: yamask are born from the graves of the lost and carry around a mask of their faces in search of someone that will recognize them. pick a deceased family member of your choice

drampa: straight up this is just representative of oeznik. doesnt look like him but nice dragon that is also an old man

bisharp: blade pokemon, giving him the fucking sword he deserves. also i am obsessed with the visual of eko scorpion-era zemo with a bisharp at his side

empoleon: i imagine this was the pokemon that zemo grew up with. not only is empoleon super fucking strong but its also classy as hell. he would

Hiya Penguin! Let's see... easiest and hardest scenes to write as of ten chapters into Demon Tales... Man, with almost 400k of material, narrowing that down is a beast, but I can definitely think of a few.

16. What was the easiest scene to write?

There's lots of scenes that flowed for me, but as far as major scenes that surprised me with how they went, one that comes to mind was Erik's introduction in The Eighth Tower ch. 2. Honestly, I went into that scene thinking it was going to be a struggle, because I have never written Erik before, much less him as a fifteen year old, but after watching and reading a bunch of canon scenes with him to get the feel, I hit an epiphany and it sort of erupted out. I have no idea how that happened, to be honest. I did enjoy Erik as a character, but after taking the deep dive into him and writing that scene, he sort of took me by heart and he became one of my favorites. (Erik scenes in general tend to be easier for me, likewise.)

Parts of Twenty Four Hours, particularly in the latter parts of it, also came easily, despite the mystery elements. Like, the nerd squad sequence was just a personal treat for myself.

17. What was the hardest scene to write?

The Jellal v. Ultear fight in Demon Tales Ch. 8 kicked my ass, lemme tell you. I had been looking forward to that scene because of how epic and intricate it would be, but when I got there, it was epic and intricate and complicated, and that meant hell for me. Both of their magics and fighting styles are fast and kinda op, and fights are already a struggle for me, much less a fight between the human embodiment of a falling star and Ms. Time-Go-BRR. Then, while Jellal's brand of anxiety is normally fairly easy for me, that while he was having to gauge Ultear, while I had to figure out how Ultear would outwardly behave and inwardly react, was just... Bleh. I used so much brain juice on that.

Similarly, Anna was pretty hard for me to write, particularly when Anna actually encounters Acnologia. Her logical approach things and lack of strong emotional literacy made it hard for me to balance how freaked out she would be and how she would react to everything accordingly. There was only so much shock value, with her figuring it out in bits before the encounter, but she obviously wouldn't accept it that readily either.

But noooo, the hardest scene is absolutely the one that I never finished/published. Originally, I had planned to write out "the talk" (Acno revealing his history to the kids) that would take place between chapters 12 and 13 of Of Dragons and Fairies, but it kicked my butt so bad, even after draft after draft after draft, I still wasn't happy with it. (None of the drafts were completed, either; I normally got frustrated part way through and tried a different approach, only to have that one fail too.) Everything I wrote either felt not impactful enough or too dramatic, and eventually, I figured that it wasn't really necessary, since the aftermath was both obvious and evident, so I shoved that one under the rug, never to see the light of day.

The Court: Origins

But kinda like it and I mean there's Hawkgirl so it can't be that bad (yes it's from the animated JL. I mean it's the best girl from that carton. Best. Girl.)

Ladybug and Chat Noir meet heros : Wonder Woman is the First (working in Paris ?) and she introduces them to the rest. Because they need help and decent backing. (shinanigans and awkwardiness are totally here, they're fans ok?) But it's a firm 'no' to any direct intervention from foreign heroes who doesn't manage his emotions (akumatized Superman... brr). But they need help. They send Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl. (Wonder Woman would have come, with her own ties with the Miraculous and all, but she's already the ambassador of her people so can't.) Immediately, there are results. Crazy the efficacity of training right? (Master Fu gets an earful along the way, heroes don't like this Gardian way of his)

Ladybug is still his apprentice but she has back-up so she doesn't drown and she trains Chat Noir in secret from Fu. Because y'know, they're p a r t n e r s! (Hawkgirl called bullshit on the inequality between the two and Martian Manhunter said it was a good idea so). Ladybug and Chat Noir totally plan to rope Nino in it too. The Turtle always have more Gardian-vibe than the rest because Protection and Nino is Nino so he's trustworthy. (He could be Grand Gardian in the future but Ladybug is a martyr if anything else and she doesn't want to overburden him. She works on that. (And Chat Noir works on the "self-sacrificing" bit of his personality. Hawkgirl called bullshit on that too)).

They don't know each other's identity but when Chat Noir flirts and Ladybug complains they know it's more for fun than anything else. Sure, they have a tiny tiny crush on each other but they're heroes (teenage heroes) after all, they need the comic relief please.

Marinette and Adrian are more busy than ever and it's hard sometimes but they're not drowning and it's better than what could have been without the Justice League so they manage. Sure, Marinette doesn't design as much as before and Adrian runs on three hours of sleep tops but they manage! Sure they're in high school now but they're in seconde and it can be a lot of work but it's also the year the most laid back of high school so. They can do it.

With help, comes suspects. Did you think Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl were here only as supports? They're might be not as detective-oriented as Batman but they have their own way to have answers. They're still heroes, even if they're not detectives. Chat Noir isn't happy when his father made it on the List and is a serious suspect. And he's not happy when Ladybug supports this theory with her own evidence either. And sure his suspects are believable too but he overlooks Gabriel completely and Ladybug is not impressed with him (Lila comes back at the same time and Marinette is not impressed with Adrien either.) Maybe their argument and all the yelling gave away their identities a little too quickly. Oups.

They ignore each other for two good weeks, in class like in battle, before Hawkgirl forces them to talk. (Communication is important kids). It's not a fun conversation. They somewhat forgive each other even if it's strain in the first weeks. But they work on it (because frienships too need work) and they come to it at least! And sure Hawkmoth landed some good hits during that time but they always win, good relationship or not. They're professionnals guys.

And maybe they become so close they're often taken for a couple. Except she gives him advices about Kagami and he's pushing her in Luka's arms. They're often saying they're more like siblings if ask. At some point Adrien is all but officially adopted by the Dupain-Cheng. (The Lahiffe tried but hey, a whole bakery. They can't hold a candle to that.) It was a happy few months despite the stress and the akumas and amoks. Even with Lila. (because the class isn't full of idiots, yes they find Lila great and yes her war with Marinette and Adrien is weird but they're friends either way. They just... don't go out at the same time with them. They take turns. They think of something to make it work. Because being friends with a whole class is cute but not realistic.)

And then there is a conversation who strucks odd to Adrien. Not even a conversation, just an off-hand comment. Barely a "make sure Duusu obey correctly next time". Just a few seconds. Adrien wouldn't have think of anything if he didn't exactly knew who was Duusu. Oups x2. He took it pretty bad. Poor Chat.

Their plan is simple - in theory (well, more or less, it's still Ladybug we speak of). A sort of "breaking & entering" with thief!Marinette and complice!Adrian. Martian Manhunter in invisibility mode scoots the hallways before the two and Hawkgirl is at the end of the formation, ready for all he can throw at them. Of course it comes crashing down. La faute à pas de chance like we say in French - they come during the Night of Hawkmoth (the one random night in the week where Hawkmoth akumatises someone from a nightmare - look, he needs to sleep to). So when Adrian lets Ladyfox enter, the illusions doesn't fool the high-security systems and he prepares. Time for Scarlet Moth to shine!

He doesn't go to the confrontation this coward - he knows they will kick his ass with their training and help of the Justice League. Nah, he creates several really destructive akumas. Y'know. Criminals and the such he carefully avoided before. Trumps cards! Mayura joins not long after. It's a massacre. They need help. Big help. Big like all the box. (And Not the Justice League because maybe Scarlet Moth isn't at his limit and they can't risk it.)

So they recruit. Rena Rouge, Carapace, Hornet (Queen Bee 2.0), Ryuko, Viperion, Bunnyx, and sometimes random people whom the kwamis sense they have a greater affinity than the other persons in their class. It's still bad. They die - a lot. All of them, except Bunnyx. The number of times she jumped from her Burrow to protect a fellow hero is... frightening. Sometimes she made them exchange their miraculous, to better suit their affinities and needs. It lasts three days.

They win! Somewhat. They're... not broken, almost, mourning their innocence and deeply hurt. But they're alive and Paris is standing and Hawkmoth and Mayura are not - yet - winners so. They take what they can.

Ladybug and Chat Noir don't take back the Miraculous from those who want to fight with them. Some people can't be heroes, can't have the mental for it. Others are desesperate to stop this. And others still are born for it - like them. Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter agreed to train them - they're not in their best mindset either (they didn't see so much destruction since their last world-ending event, it's not an everyday occurrence even for them) but they're adults, professionals. The kids need them so they help, of course. The Court is born, with new heroes and new names. Too many has been compromised during the battle to keep their old, and... they are not the same as before either. Dame Chance (Ladybug - Marinette), Cat Sìth (Cat - Adrian), Alya (Tiger - Tigris), Nino (Turtle - Shield), Chloé (Bee - Hornet), Kagami (Dragon - Kinryu), Luka (Snake - Ouroboros), Alix (Bunny - Bunnyx), Nathaniel (Fox - Renart), Allegra (Rooster - Mélodie), Bridgette (Ox - Niú), Claude (Horse - Kid Mime) and Alan (Dog - Gavroche).

From here, it's hell. Hawkmoth and Mayura send akumas and sentimonsters at a frenetic pace, sometimes switching with a Scarlet Moth Situation (not too otfen because it costs a great deal of energy but at least one on three days). Life in Paris is impossible, the city is lock down, the civilians need to stay home for their security and the heroes all but stop to live. They move in the QG Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter set up at the beginning and scheme. Identities don't matter (and that's an interesting conversation), sleeping, eating, all of that is pushed aside. They can't deal with distractions. That's also a interesting conversation. (Look, some of them don't lose their priorities. Sleep and food are not distractions. But go say that to Marinette, hah.) But nevertheless, their lifes are put on hold for their hunt (and training. the new heroes need it.) No need to say, they're on a fine line from madness.

It lasts two weeks (an eternity) before they attack. The battle is horrible - like all battles - and the Court is spread across all Paris to protect it from the akumas and sentimonsters. Against Hawkmoth and Mayura, it's only Dame Chance, Cat Sìth, Ouroboros, Kinryu and Martian Manhunter.

They win. Finally. And they sleep the month after that, because trauma (very much so), adrenaline and - just - their bodies shut down. Especially Marinette and Adrian.

Now, the Box is used as almost full capacity. Nino has the Turtle. So Fu is like 'cool, Marinette is ready!' Hence Marinette is Grand Guardian at 16 (joy. so much.) and as first decision names Adrian and Nino Guardians with her. Fu isn't too please. She doesn't give a flying fuck.

After Hawkmoth Alya, Nathaniel, Bridgette and Claude gave back their miraculous (they were heroes when needed but it isn't a life they want).

The next two years are a lot of juggling between training, learning, apprenticeship and heroing but nowhere near the intensity of their first two years.

Because the Court is still active. Even without Hawkmoth and Mayura (by the way Nooroo and Duusu are absolutely being pampered in the box), they remained active, help the police and all. Especially with the new risk of attacks from terrorists (they couldn't prevent the bombs, only help afterwards and that was... hard. Definitely more so than Hawkmoth because the Cure can't revive these victims. There wasn't any Miraculous involved - only plain, old, ugly humanity).

Btw the Justice League is on speed dial in case they need help for a magical/miraculous/world-ending event and because they're allies now but they're not part of it.

So yes they're heroes but they're teenagers too. Marinette and Luka date one year before they break up and remain friends (and maybe she has a little something with Kagami at one point. maybe), Adrien discovers preferring guys, Nino and Alya are still as in love as ever. They grow up, they graduate high school. Some stay in Paris, others go discover the world.

Alya made a name for herself with the Ladyblog and has a brilliant carrier ahead of her, already thinking of doing something similar to Lois Lane : war reporter, then specialising herself in heroics. She wants to be the best and knows damn well what she needs to do for that (Lila be damned). Chloé flourishes in New York, attempting business and politics degrees (nobody else see Chloe as Mayor of Gotham? I think it would suit her - a broken city needing her help and power. pretty much her). Luka makes soundtracks for movies and makes a name for himself ; in the same sector, Allegra joins the National Orchestra of France. Nino chooses a degree in the cinema, DJing in the weekend. Adrian works with Sabine and Tom, training to inherit, one day, the bakery - Gabriel crumbled with his father and he has no intention to ever build it back. Kagami trains for the Olympics. Alix goes for a degree in archeology - following her family and her miraculous. The comic series relating the aventures of the Court by Nathaniel and Mark is a huge success, assuring their own place in the world. Allan go to Japan for a degree in languages. Bridgette and Marinette goes to China to visit their family (they're totally cousins) and for their respective studies in communication and fashion.

Paris is heartbroken and very concerned when Dame Chance and Cat Sìth disapear but the Ladyblog remains active so they can explain that they're young, they want to learn to live in this world and they need to attends some Miraculous matters - but of course if Paris or the France or even the world need their help one day, they'd come back.

At 23, Marinette, Adrian, Nino and Alix take a gap year and go to Tibet. Because they're not civilians despite their somewhat inactivity and their Court is cool but they very much need to think about the future, the after them. So they need to rebuild the Order.

Rayllum childhood friends to lovers?

Hear me out.

Callum's mom had a brief relationship with a skywing elf, Callum coming from that. His mom at first thinks he's going to appear as a normal human. He doesn't have horns or the pointy ears!

However, when he's two, small stubs start growing on his back and Sarai knows that they will one day soon become wings. She's torn between keeping her precious son and trying to hide his elven heritage from everyone.

She's already married to Harrow at this point and she loves him, and she knows that he loves Callum just as much she does. And because of this, she decides to let him stay with her in Katolis, swearing Harrow to secrecy about Callum's father and asking him to help her hide the wings as they grow.

Harrow does, not blaming or holding resentment to the young boy for something he can't control.

When Sarai dies, Harrow does his best to hold true to what Sarai asked of him, raising both their boys with love and pride.

However, on the day of Callum's fifth birthday, elves break into the castle in the dead of night, stealing the young prince away with no warning to anyone.

They'd been sent by his birth father who'd learned of Sarai's death and decided that he'd be better at raising his son than some arrogant human king.

Harrow learns of Callum's kidnapping the next morning and he breaks, ordering for multiple search parties to go out but they never find him. He is heartbroken at the loss of his son and his anger and bitterness towards Xadia grows.

However, he always tells Ezran of his brother and he hopes Callum will come home one day.

Meanwhile in Xadia, because Callum was so young when he was taken, he doesn't really remember his old life too well. He's told that he was saved from humans and he believes it.

His dad is part of the dragon guard, just the same as Rayla's parents and that's how they meet.

They become instant besties and spend as much time together as possible. They grow up together and when that fateful day comes, the day Rayla goes out on her first assassin mission, Callum follows in secret, being curious about the human kingdoms.

When he sees Rayla get benched from the mission, he reveals himself and sheepishly suggests they go anyway.

Oh also Callum actually can't fly cause of an accident involving a tree and falling and breaking his wings when he was ten. They healed but weirdly and he hasn't been able to fly since. There is a reason for this 👀

Rayla is mad that he came but lets him come with her to the castle. They scale the cliff and run inside.

However... when Callum sees that her target is a kid... he doesn't let her kill him.

Instead Callum knocks her down with an apology and runs off with Ezran to hide. She eventually finds them hiding in the wall and is arguing with Callum about her mission when Ezran yells at them to shut up and reveals the egg.

That's when Claudia finds them. She vaguely recognizes Callum but shakes it off and attacks the two elves who take off with Ezran and the egg. Callum swipes the primal stone on the way out.

They show the egg to Runaan who still wants to go through with the plan. Callum takes Ezran and the egg and runs at Rayla's command.

Rayla meets up with them soon after and they book it into the woods. Ezran is suspicious of Callum, having a feeling that he knows who this is. Harrow had told him plenty of stories of his half-brother and Ezran isn't sure if he should confront Callum about it or not.

Tales from D&D: The Players Become Bewildered

The title is a pun. I will explain.

I am running a Ravenloft campaign that is drawing off the new Van Ricthen's Guide and also older 2e/3e lore and a bit of homebrew along the way. The party comp is pretty interesting;

MAIE - Kenku, Creation Bard. Stays out of conflicts as much as they can. Died once, seeks immortality. Player is thorn in my side very smart. BLUR - Swiftstride Shifter, Armorer Artificer. Has a bit of history with the eponymous Rudolph van Richten and traveled with him for a time. Trying to befriend a dangerous party member. VARIS - Drow, Astral Fists Monk. Seeking assassin order that killed his master. THETMATHOF THE LEARNED - Human, Undead Warlock. Patron is Azalin Rex. Hails from Darkon. Hates his "dad". It's complicated. Goes by 'Thet'. ZARANAI - Githyanki, Spores Druid. From the Underdark directly. Fascinated with everything. Dislikes those who reject the cycle of life. -3 Str go brr. FINDALOR - Moon elf, Twilight Cleric. Works directly with Rudolph van Richten as a fellow monster hunter, and has done so for a few decades with him. Has saved the party's ass twice. Dislikes monstrous beings vehemently. AND THE NEWEST ADDITION: ANIKA - Air Genasi, Battlesmith Artificer. Just rolled up. Very confused. Azalin has already spoken to her. Has a dope ass metal tiger. Mom friend[?]

The party also has two NPCs traveling with them: RUDOLPH VAN RICHTEN - Monster hunter expert, has been doing so for literal decades. Getting on in his years, but can still kick some fucking ass. GENERAL VYCHEN - Ancient vampire general who worked for Azalin Rex. Has been convinced/tricked by the party into coming with them to 'raise an army' under the guise of Thet's request. Disliked and distrusted by most of the party.

SO, the party has just gotten out of the domain of Mordent and find themselves within Kartakass. They notice the moon is full and they arrive in the night despite waking up in the 'morning' out in the mists.

Immediately, they meet a wereraven on the road who calls himself Sunrunner and asks the party to help him deliver a shipment of wine from his family's brewery. Another face appears from the woods, one Harkon Lukas, who greets the party and tells them to follow him to a place called Skald. He owns the Old Kartakan Inn there, and to 'sweeten the deal', if one of them can beat him in a play-off, he'll give them their rooms for free.

The party is IMMEDIATELY suspicious and untrusting of Harkon, so they say no. But they do agree to follow Sunrunner to Harmonia and to his brewery. Sunrunner explains to them that the Wildersung forest, the forest all around them, has a melody that plays through it, and that if one hears singing, they need to be silent.

Fin casts Detect Evil and Good. Harkon comes up as fey.

Now the party gets to the brewery. They get a tour, they give the wereraven a bit of Red Dragon Crush that they found elsewhere which has started to go bad, and then they're led to an adjacent tavern called the Raven's Feather. They go in, try some of the wine they're going to be delivering, and have a chat.

There is also a single bottle of Evermead that Fin buys immediately for 30gp for the bottle. Otherwise, the party grabs some drinks and chats about life. After some idling, they head up into their rooms, and they go to sleep.

And they wake up, back in their cart, exiting the mists and entering Kartakass.

This time, there are some differences.

All money they spent has not been spent. And instead of a wereraven in the road, they meet Harkon Lukas.

The party tries to explain that they've already met, but Rudolph and Harkon are doubtful and dubious. They have no memory of meeting before. The party has no trust for Harkon, and one notices a silhouette in the woods. Maie runs at hearing Fin mention the fey, and comes to the figure.

Instead of it being Sunrunner, they run into a Martikov. Thet & Anika go after Maie, while the rest of the party deals with Harkon. Harkon offers a stay at the Old Kartakan Inn, with no strings attached, but the party turns him down and decide to go into Harmonia to investigate. They leave Harkon behind and set out into the woods.

The music is different. They hear singing. They go quiet.

They hear wolves.

And then they are ambushed by four werewolves, declaring that the party is trespassing into clan territory. They also mock them, telling the party that they'll eat them.

Initiative is rolled.

The first round is mostly uneventful, with both Artificers being able to provide some crowd control in the form of Web and a good distraction. Maie grants inspiration and creates a silvered dagger, but does not attack. At the end of the round, the werewolves go, and bite three times; Fin and Vychen fail their Con saves against lycanthropy. Varis saves.

Luckily, the party is level 5. Unluckily, Fin doesn't have Remove Curse prepped, and the full moon, in this timeline, is the following day.

Turn 2 comes around and there are crits galore, thanks to one werewolf becoming paralyzed and another still restrained in Web. One werewolf gets its head cut off by Rudolph, another gets its throat torn out by Vychen, and a third gets uppercutted unto death by the monk.

One got moonbeamed by Fin on his turn, turned back into an elf, looked ready to bolt, but took enough damage to kill on its turn and died. Fin bullied the fuck out of the poor kid once he turned back, cause the kid was like,

"Hey, hey, we're cool, right?" And Fin was like "You fucked up, kiddo."

And then he got yeeted.

The party reconvenes after everything is killed. Vychen reveals he's been bitten, and Fin immediately groans. Maie helps to heal Vychen's wounds since magic won't work. Blur takes Vychen aside for a chat, (secret corner time), basically telling him to bite him. Vychen asks why, and Blur explains that he's felt like shit recently, and he feels bad about just killing everything. So Vychen bites him, asks his true intentions, gets a 26 to his insight and learns Blur wants to try and befriend him. Vychen remarks on how a general should have allies, and Blur says "Not allies. Friends." And Vychen agrees, saying, "Friends, then." And ruffles his hair before returning to the party.

After a bit of bantering, they hop in the cart and begin heading for Harmonia.

So. Allow me to pull back the DM screen and explain what the fuck happened.

The party thinks it is a time loop. A couple think it is a fey illusion.

The real answer is a bit more devious, as I am running 2 Domains of Dread simultaneously. One is Bluetspur, the other is Kartakass.

The God-Brain is manufacturing one half of the events the party experienced. The other is the real events as they play out. The second line of events is what is real, the first line was fake.

In order to hint towards it, I am relying on music and musical cues. Especially since Kartakass is a domain of music. Of course there's a few other aspects (them meeting Harkon vs them meeting Sunrunner for example) to tip them off, but we'll see how long it'll take for them to realize which is the illusion.

The more they discover it, the harder the God-Brain will work. Eventually, they may have to engage it directly in order to free themselves from its grasp entirely, and it may be the way out of both domains. They'll have to play and see.

And I am very excited to see how they progress.
