Publication Date: May 3, 2022
Synopsis:
Dear (never-been-quite-over-you) Crush, It's been a few years since we were together, but I can't stop thinking about the time we almost... Wren Roland has never been kissed, but he wants that movie-perfect ending more than anything. Feeling nostalgic on the eve of his birthday, he sends emails to all the boys he (ahem) loved before he came out. Morning brings the inevitable Oh God What Did I Do?, but he brushes that panic aside. Why stress about it? None of his could-have-beens are actually going to read the emails, much less respond. Right? Enter Derick Haverford, Wren's #1 pre-coming-out-crush and his drive-in theater's new social media intern. Everyone claims he's coasting on cinematic good looks and his father's connections, but Wren has always known there's much more to Derick than meets the eye. Too bad he doesn't feel the same way about the infamous almost-kiss that once rocked Wren's world. Whatever. Wren's no longer a closeted teenager; he can survive this. But as their hazy summer becomes consumed with a special project that may just save the struggling drive-in for good, Wren and Derick are drawn ever-closer...and maybe, finally, Wren's dream of a perfect-kiss-before-the-credits is within reach. A feel-good summer LGBTQIA+ New Adult RomCom, perfect for fans of Red White & Royal Blue, Boyfriend Material, and What If It's Us.
My Rating: ★★★★★
*My Review below the cut.
My Review:
This was suuuuuuper cute. Wren does come across as very young at first, but as the story settled into its groove I felt like his reactions and thought processes were actually very accurate for a 22-year old. He starts the novel fairly immature and at loose ends, but through the course of the story he gains confidence in himself. This is helped along by his managerial position at Wiley's Drive-in (where he has to find the line between working with his friends and being responsible for his friends' mistakes), his blossoming friendship with reclusive former film star and director Alice Walker, and his rekindled friendship and burgeoning relationship with his high-school crush Derick.
What begins as a terrible drunk decision - sending emails to all his former crushes and almost-kisses - ends up with a real chance at happiness.
Wren's friends are adorably quirky - sometimes a little too much so - and sweet. Reading the scenes of them together took me back to my college friendships. Derick is a bit of a mystery for pretty much the entire book and I think it could have benefited from some Derick POV chapters. The mystery does add drama and move the plot along in places, however, so I can understand why the author chose to do it this way. I also really appreciated how many of the characters were LGBT+ and how matter-of-fact it all was. There was a little bit of drama between Derick and his family but it wasn't too much and didn't detract from the sense of queer joy that develops throughout the book.
I listened to the audiobook version of this and really like the way the narrator chose to read it. His voices for all the characters were easy to tell apart and fit the characters very well.
I was fully invested in the story from beginning to end, and came away with a lot of nostalgia and also a real appreciation for how the author handled the story.
Also! It was SO nice to see demisexual rep in this story! Ace rep of any kind is hard to come by in fiction, and demisexual rep even more so. It was also explained really well without taking the reader out of the story and really fit Wren's character and experiences. As someone who is demi, I really appreciated the rep. It made me feel that much more connected to the story and more sympathetic to Wren. Especially when he decides that "queer" is how he's going to identify, with the knowledge that he's also gay and demisexual. It was very relatable. Society doesn't know how to handle asexuality for some strange reason, and it can feel very alienating.
The best parts of the story, hands down, were the scenes with Alice Kelly, reclusive film star and brilliant director - and cantankerous old lady. She really came to life in my imagination and quickly became my favorite character. The way Wren approached his friendship with her, slowly drawing her out while making sure she is always comfortable with what is happening, was wonderful to see.
I loved her story that was slowly revealed even more than Wren's and Derick's tbh. I would definitely read a book about her life. I'm glad she became such an important character and her story interwoven so thoroughly with Wren's and Wiley's Drive-in.
*Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing an e-arc for review.

✩💗🧠Review:
Hazelwood’s sequel “Love on the Brain” brings on the heat!
Like her debut novel, Hazelwood’s newest release is told from the point-of-view of a woman in STEM: Dr. Bee Königswasser. Bee is a neuroscientist that is invited to co-lead the project of her dreams. There is only one catch, she has to work alongside Levi Ward, her arch nemesis from grad school. The longer the two are forced to work in proximity to each other, the more Bee begins to realize that Levi isn’t the man she thought he was.
Hazelwood’s use of the enemies-to-lovers and workplace romance tropes are absolutely delightful.
I also enjoyed getting a glimpse into the love interest’s perspective for the first time, which is what makes “Love on the Brain” different from the rest of Hazelwood’s other works. Through direct messages written by Levi on his Twitter account, the reader is able to gain insight into his character. He bares his heart to Bee and is not afraid to be vulnerable, which is something that I admire.
With Levi at her side, Bee finds the strength to learn how to love again after a life of instability. The two push each other to grow as individuals and that is what makes their connection so electric on the page.
While the writing is formulaic at times and does not wildly differ from her previous publications, “Love on the Brain” is an addicting read that leaves no romance reader wanting.

When ppl say that there is no stories about friendship I can't help but wonder what do they mean? There are lots and lots cartoons for kids and teens about well, friendship! Its the main point of almost all stories there. I don't like watching movies so I dunno if there are a lot of movies about friendship nowadays but I have watched old films about it. Like yeah it will always have some romance too for main characters or for the background characters bc if your story has like 10+ adult ppl most of them would look for relationship for the sake of building a family or sex. But also if you can excuse how the women are drawn you can just read/watch one piece and like NOBODY has any romance or sex there even though there are like billions of adult pirates.
#personal#if you want to recommend me something nice to watch comment it or drop me a message#but for the love of everything good pls dont recommend me school drama like I cant watch it anymore#i would prefer to watch more media about adults rn#I can make some exceptions like Hanako kun was really creepy like it looks like rom com for the teens in school but its actually horror#or Utena I started watching it and its crazy at the 1st episode already I want to learn more#but yeah I would like books or movies or tv shows about adults#I would like to watch something like Friends but good#like do u get what I mean? if it was Friends but it was actually really good and less THAT and like more GOOD#I really loved this tv show when I was learning English tho it was perfect for it but like they did so many bad choices for this story#i hate every story about Rachel's love life like its unbearable at this point you should just stop dating and forget about it and live#also they gradually made Ross into the most vile and evil man that could possibly exist and everyone was okay with it bc he is Monika's bro#they didn't need to make him into a monster asshole jerk like he could be just a nerd guy who is clumsy it would be alright#also they should have never made any story lines about Rachel and Ross like they are the worst couple that has ever existed on the tv#its the new level of abysmal I dream about how it would be cool if they have never had any relationship at all#this story would be like 999% better IMMEDIATELY but oh well

Review: Let's Talk About Love
Let's Talk About Love by Claire Kann
CW: Controlling Family, Racism, Acephobia, Microagressions, Drinking, Discussion of Sex
5/5
I have rarely felt so seen by a book! If you are on the asexual spectrum, even if you don't typically read romance novels, I highly recommend Let's Talk About Love. This book is to asexuality as Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales is to being bi. It explores the nuances and the struggles that come with being ace while weaving a very sweet love story.
Alice is a college student who has just been broken up with, more or less, because she is ace. She moves in with her two best friends, not being able to remain in the dorm room she shared with her ex. Soon, the library she works at gets a new employee, the cutest person Alice has ever seen. His name is Takumi and he is about to challenge everything Alice thinks she knows about herself.
Despite Alice's bashfulness, she and Takumi become fast friends. As Alice struggles to decide what he means to her, her best friends become jealous and worry that they are being replaced. The trio are like a family, but are threatening to become just as dysfunctional as Alice's biological family. Utilizing therapy, Alice talks about love, in all forms.
Let's Talk About Love is laugh-out-loud-at-work funny, and immensely relatable. The characters are well formed and one finds themself loving them all despite their flaws. This book sends wonderful messages about asexuality, therapy, being biromantic, platonic love, following your dreams, facing your problems, interracial relationships, and not making assumptions. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the magic trick in Chapter 12. I didn't understand it and kept waiting for it to be called back to, which did not happen.
I hope you will love this book as much as I did! I'll be exploring the other books by Claire Kann soon. Much love to the reader for the audiobook, Adenrele Ojo!

Not to like mourn my youth or whatever when I’m only 27 but I really do miss when I was like 14 and able to make friends easily by just being in the same internet spaces like randomly entering a public chat room or talking to someone after an mmo dungeon or something.

Y'know, there's this gripe I've had for years that really frustrates me, and it has to do with Love, Simon and people joking about it and calling it too-pg and designed-for-straight-people and all the like. (A similar thing has happened to Heartstopper, but that's another conversation.)
I saw Love, Simon in theaters when it came out my senior year in high school. I saw it three times, once with my friends/parents on opening night, once with my brother over spring break, and once with my grandparents.
On opening night, the air in the room was electric. It was palpable. Half the heads in there were dyed various colors. Queer kids were holding hands. We were all crying and laughing and cheering as a group. My friends grabbed my hands at the part where Simon was outed and didn't let go until his parents were saying that they accepted him. My friend came out to me as non-binary. Another person in our group admitted that she had feelings for girls. It was incredible. I left shaking. This was the first mainstream queer romance movie that had ever been produced by one of the main five studios, and I know that sounds like another "first queer character from Disney" bit but you have to understand that even in 2018 this was groundbreaking. Getting to have a sweet queer rom-com where the main character was told that he got "to breathe now" after coming out meant so much to me and my friends.
But also, from a designed-for-straight-people POV (which, to be frank, it was written by a bisexual author and directed by a gay man, this was not designed for straight audiences), why is it a bad thing that it appealed to the widest possible audience? That it could make my parents and grandparents see things in a new light? My stepdad wasn't at all interested in rom-coms but he saw it with me because it was something I cared about and he hugged me when we came out of the theater. My very Catholic grandparents watched it with me and though my grandpa said he still didn't quite understand the whole 'gay thing,' all he wanted was for me to be happy and to have a happy ending like Simon did. My Nana actually cried when Simon came out and squeeze my hand when his mother told him he could breathe.
And when Martin blackmailed Simon, my mom, badass ally that she is, literally hissed "Dropkick him. Dropkick him in the balls" leading to multiple queer kids in the audience to laugh or smile. Having my parents there- the only parents, by the way, out of my group of queer and questioning friends- made multiple people realize that supportive adults were out there. That parents like those in Love, Simon do exist in real life.
When people complain about Heartstopper not being realistic or Love, Simon being too cutesy, I remember seeing Love, Simon on opening night. I remember my friend coming out and my stepdad hugging me and my mom defending us through this character. I remember the cheers that went through the audience when Bram and Simon kissed and the chatter in the foyer after the movie was over and the way that this movie made me understand that happy endings do exist.
Queer kids need happy endings. Straight people need entry points to becoming allies. Both of these things can come together in beautiful ways. They can find out about more queer culture later, but for now, let them have this. Let them all have a glimpse at a better, happier world. Let them have queer joy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW: Go Fake Yourself by Elle Maxwell
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW: Go Fake Yourself by Elle Maxwell
Putting a whole new spin on one of my favorite tropes, I loved that this fake relationship romance felt fresh and different. This couple moves in together and enters a fake relationship as complete strangers undergoing an experiment, which added a level of unpredictability and interest to the beloved trope. There’s a great opposites attract dynamic, a rom com vibe, and just enough emotion buried…

4,5 - 5⭐
Last year I really got into reading (and a lot of listening) to rom-coms and Neighmare Neighbor is definitely high on my list of favorites. I loved it. I devoured it overnight and it was 👌. Yeah, I couldn´t put this one down and it stayed in my head. Now let me tell you why 😎. Nightmare Neighbor is a great hate-to-love story with a quirky heroine Maddie Collins who's a successful fantasy romance writer. When she moves to a new town her agent and friend Meredith arranges for her to live in one of the flats in her two-story reconstructed Victorian house. But there's a catch. Maddie gets a hot and infuriating neighbor Alek Kowalski who hates her guts as well. By chance of maybe fate, these two end up texting over a dating app without knowing who the other one is. Will their online connection and real-life chemistry find their way or will they kill each other first? 😎😈
The characters are great ❤️. Maddie is a writer who does not cope well with public outings which I can relate to because I have aspirations to be an author while I am not so sure about the whole… interviews, author photos, etc. She´s suffering from writing block and then - inspired by the real-life sexual tension with her insufferable neighbor - starts working on a contemporary hate-love romance. And don´t let me start with Alek. He´s such a fun, caring, decent guy when you get to know him. He runs his own small marketing company (with technically one employee), great friend, and a loving son, who gets along with almost everyone... except for Maddie whom he just cannot stand after their unfortunate first encounter when they… forget it… just read it to find out. Damn, I love that man! He didn´t want to admit that he was head over heels for Maddie for a while but he surely fell first. He got it bad! 🤣😂👍 It is undeniably clear where will this hate-love relationship full of minor and major disagreements and bickering will lead but the road there is what truly matters and makes it such an enjoyable ride. It is SO funny! Their story is full of sharp humor, sexual innuendos, and some quality spicy moments which will make the pages just fly by and which you won´t be able to get out of your head. I laughed out loud many times and had to suppress my giggling a lot so my reactions would not be heard all over our block of flats. Maddie´s and Alek´s chemistry is off the charts 🥵, the dialogues are 👍😎 and their banter (especially the online texting and sexting) is to die for! Just wait for the laundry room scene or the shirtless barbeque! All in All, Maddie and Alek are sympathetic young people struggling with their personal, work, and family problems and who in the end confirm the ancient “two is better than one”. The side characters - Maddie´s sister Libby, Meredith, and Mason - are a great addition to the story and I cannot wait to read Meredith´s romance next 🔥🤗. Overall, Nightmare Neighbor is a damn quick and very fun light romance read that favors getting to know each other, communication, and slowly burning sexual tension over pages full of graphic sex and stupid unnecessary drama. This book will put a silly smile on your face and leave you longing for more romance from the pen of Lusy Adams. I want the second book NOW! 😭😭😭 Yesterday was late.
Special thanks to the author for sending me an earlier copy and listening to my beta-reader notes❤️😄!

✩🔑🪩Review:
ELENA ARMAS, YOU DESERVE ALL THE CRONUTS IN EXISTENCE FOR THIS MASTERPIECE OF A BOOK!
“The American Roommate Experiment” truly is a love letter to romance novels. Armas incorporates all of the best tropes (fake relationship, forced proximity, friends to lovers) in her newest release and writes from two perspectives for the very first time.
I fell in love with Lucas the moment he graced the page and loved every chapter told from his point-of-view. He cooks, is a dog lover, has the best laugh, and embodies romance. He truly is the definition of a cinnamon roll character, which I found to be a breath of fresh air considering the abundance of grumpy bad boys serving as the main love interest in romance novels nowadays.
Armas takes her time developing Lucas’ character and making sure that he has depth. Through his actions, we learn that Lucas is willing to prioritize the happiness of others over himself and that he is struggling to confront the demons of his past.
Luckily, Rosie gives Lucas the love and support that he needs. She complements him every way and I loved watching her come to that realization towards the end of the book. Their slow burning romance makes their relationship all the more realistic and, in my opinion, satisfying.
I really admire Rosie’s character and enjoyed following her storyline as an engineer turned romance writer. Her decision to chase her dreams is a message that I know that many readers will resonate with. Rosie is also fiercely protective over her family, which helped me further relate to her character.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my love for Armas’ incorporation of the Spanish language and the warm fuzzy feeling I got every time Aaron and Lina from “The Spanish Love Deception” made a cameo. I absolutely loved catching up with them.
This book truly has a special place in my heart. I cannot wait to reread it again and again until Armas new book comes out in fall 2023.

watched that new jennifer lawrence comedy on netflix and like. should we make it steddie?
steve’s a rich kid who grew up having to be self sufficient because of his parents traveling constantly for work. he’s basically a mini adult, but because of that, he sees himself as a lot more mature than the rest of the people his age and by the time he’s ready for college, he’s missed out on a lot of the social milestones that young men his age are experiencing. instead of going to prom, he’d hung out around the house with his weird nerdy band geek best friend having marshmallow eating contests and watching bad rom coms. instead of going to graduation parties, the two of them had built a tent in the harringtons massive backyard and gone night swimming before camping out.
enter his parents, who are less worried abt steve coming out of his shell for his own independence and comfort and more worried that he’ll embarrass them at his ivy league in the fall. there’s been a long line of harrington men attending yale and they’ve paid a lot of money to even get steve a spot there, so if he fucks this up, if he doesn’t join the right clubs and make the right friends, they’re worried it’ll all be a waste.
so they put an ad on craig’s list. eddie and his bandmates are trolling the boards, looking for any odd jobs they can find to try and raise the cash they need to record a demo at the local studio. jeff points it out as a joke and, after laughing at the poor pathetic dweeb whose parents think he’s such a dud they’re trying to set him up with a stranger, they scroll on. but later that night, eddie pulls up the page on his own phone while he’s lying in bed. the offered amount is more than enough to pay for their studio time and then some. eddie calls them and sets a meeting.
when he gets to the harringtons beach house, he’s nervous. he’s a townie and townies are rarely invited into the massive homes that line the shoreline. he knows what he looks like and he knows that the rich tourists who infest the beachside towns every summer tend to steer clear of him when they see him around.
but he needs the money and after meeting with the couple, he thinks this kid probably needs all the help he can get and so he decides to meet their son steve.
turns out steve’s a lot more attractive than he’d imagined and he’s only a couple of years younger than eddie is. he’s also a lot more flirty and charismatic than eddie had assumed. turns out, steve doesn’t lack the ability to make friends or get dates, he just really hasn’t been interested in anyone… at least, not until now.
they hit it off almost immediately. eddie’s never had this much fun with anyone he’s ever tried to date before. steve is funny and smart in very specific ways and his best friend, robin, is a riot. eddie’s not sure how steve’s parents don’t see any of that, but then steve tells him all about how he’d grown up basically alone, how he’d had to make a lot of his own fun growing up, how he’d rarely ever even seen his parents between the ages of 11 and 18. they hadn’t even made it to his high school graduation. steve reveals to eddie that he’s not even sure he wants to go to yale at all, that he only agreed because he’s not sure what else to do.
and eddie tells steve about his dad, abt how he’d gone to jail when eddie was 13, on a job with eddie in tow. he tells steve abt how his mom was heartbroken afterwards, would barely get out of bed to even pick him up from school. he tells steve abt the car accident, the flashing lights of the police car that had picked him up one day and taken him to a foster home before wayne had been called down from upstate to come collect him. wayne had moved out onto the island, trying not to disrupt eddie’s life more than he had to, but prices down here were so much higher and he’d had to work all the time. he’d done so much for eddie and eddie is so grateful… he just wants to pay him back anyway he can.
they reveal things to each other no one else knows and suddenly, as the summers coming to a close, eddie realizes that he’s been falling in love this whole time. but before he can tell steve abt the deal, before he can apologize and come clean and confess his feelings, steve has some kind of massive blowout with his dad. and his dad—in all his anger—tells steve the truth. he tells steve how steve is so pathetic that he and his mom had had to buy him a boyfriend.
steve is, obviously and understandably, beyond devastated. he confronts eddie with tears in his eyes, begging eddie to tell him it isn’t true, that his dad was a liar and he’d just known where to hit him hardest. but eddie can’t deny it. that is how all this started.
eddie doesn’t see steve again, not around town, not at any of their usual haunts, and soon the school year is starting. steve, eddie assumes, has moved into his dorm at yale and is, hopefully, making new friends. by the time thanksgiving break comes around, eddie can finally think about steve with only a tiny ache in his chest. he and the band have recorded their first demo, thanks to that harrington money, complete with the saddest love song eddie’s ever written.
and suddenly steve is there in the bar eddie works at, where he’d been taking steve on their nights out all summer. his brown hair looks extra soft and he’s wearing a quarter zip with the yale logo emblazoned over his heart. they stand there and stare at each other for a moment too long before they both try to speak at the same time.
“no, me first,” steve says, and eddie really can’t deny him this. he’s the one who ruined everything, after all. “what you did to me was terrible.” it’s straightforward and factual, but eddie’s face burns. “you hurt me. a lot.” eddie watches as steve swallows. “i told you things i’ve never said out loud.” eddie opens his mouth to speak, but steve powers through. “but now i’m up in connecticut and i’m meeting all these new people. and some of them are great. but i can’t help but compare them to you. everyone i meet, i think of you. and no one is as fun as you, and no one makes me feel as good. no one sees me like you did.”
eddie’s speechless for a moment, mouth dry. he swallows. steve’s looking at him expectantly. “i was always honest abt how i felt about you, stevie. i really was falling in love with you. or… i mean…” eddie pauses, runs a hand through his hair. “i mean, i love you. i am in love you, like, currently. ongoing. probably in perpetuity which, uh, you know. is like, forever or whatever.”
“yeah?” steve asks softly, a small smile curving on his lips. “forever or whatever?”
eddie can feel himself returning that small smile, nodding. “yeah,” he responds, “ no biggie, though.”
steve laughs. “i kind of disagree. cause i don’t know abt you, but i’ve never been loved in perpetuity before. seems pretty big to me.” eddie shrugs as he watches steve close the distance, smiles widening. “i’m pretty sure i love you too, you know.”
“pretty sure?”
“i’m trying to be a little aloof abt it. not reveal my whole hand too soon.” they’re standing chest to chest now, eddie can feel steve’s breath on his face, they’re so close.
“right. makes sense,” eddie murmurs, staring steve’s wet pink mouth. and then they’re kissing.
and they kiss until gareth comes into the bar for the start of his and eddie’s shared shift and turns the club soda spout on them.
they have a lot to talk abt. but thanksgiving break is a whole week long and after that it’s only two weeks until winter break. eddie has a lot of time to make it all up to steve, in any way he can, in perpetuity.

you and your somewhat new boyfriend just arrived to his place after a dinner date. you had been dating for a few months now but you've never gone to third base together or even a homerun. you had planned on staying the night after the date and planned to just cuddle on the couch watching movies.
you had changed into comfier clothes, lewis' shirt and shorts, as you were on the couch watching a movie on netflix.
lewis was next to you with his arm around your shoulders and also watching the movie. he had pulled you closer to him so that you were nuzzled into his side.
the rom-com you were watching quickly turned steamy as the main characters started making out and ridding themselves of their clothes.
the scene quickly moved on to the action as the room was filled with moans coming from the tv.
"uhh, do you wanna skip through this?" lewis asks awkwardly as he reaches for the remote
"no, it's fine, we're adults" you say and shrug as you turn back to the tv.
unfortunately for you, the scene seemed never ending as the characters continued their actions, even changing positions at some point.
you tried to keep a straight face as you stared at the tv but couldn't really do it. you glanced over at lewis and noticed that he was already looking back at you.
you offered him a small smile before leaning towards him and pressing a kiss to his cheek. after the kiss, lewis turned his head and captured your lips with his and began making out with you.
his hands caressed your sides before gently pulling you onto his lap. you straddled his lap and held his face in your hands. you slowly grind onto his lap as he groans in the kiss.
he pulls away from the kiss to check on you "are you sure you wanna do this?" he asks and looks into your eyes for signs of discomfort - which he did not find.
"I'm sure" you say and nod as you crash your lips against his again.
lewis moves you to lay on the couch with you below him as he held himself up with his arms on either sides of your face.
lewis pulls off both of your clothes in haste as before kissing down your neck. he slowly lowered himself from the valley of your breasts, to your navel before coming face to face with your pussy.
lewis reached his fingers to spread your pussy lips to expose your hole to him. you bite down on your lower lip as you watched him.
he looked up at you as he leaned closer to your pussy and wrapped his lips to your pussy. you reached down and placed your hand in his hair and pulled him closer to your pussy.
lewis licks your pussy and gently pushes his tongue into your hole. you whine as he rubs his thumb against your clit and continues his assault with his tongue.
you close your eyes and enjoy him lapping your pussy. you feel heat build up in the bottom of your stomach. you buck your hips against his mouth as your walls clench around nothing as you reach your orgasm and cum hard.
you scream out in pleasure as your walls clench around nothing and your pussy flutters. lewis feels his cock twitch and harden as he watches your reaction and smirks.
as you come down from your high, lewis sits up and wraps his hand around his cock as he aligns it at your entrance. you hold onto his arm as you prepare for him to enter you.
"are you ready?" he asks as he passes his cock through your pussy lips.
you nod and bite your lower lip as he pushes his tip in your hole. you gasp as you realise how big he was.
lewis leans down and presses his lips to yours. he halts his movements and lets you adjust to his bigger size.
"more" you whiper as you feel ready for him to continue his movements
he wasn't able to fit his whole member in you but still made it pleasurable. his thrusts started to increase in pace as he held your legs open for him.
your hand reached down and rubbed your clit as lewis' cock started to hit the spongy part in you. your legs started to shake as you felt his thrusts become sloppy as you also felt your orgasm coming.
you started to moan louder as you felt the heat build up in your stomach.
"I'm coming, lew!" you're able to get out just as your orgasm hits you as your walls pulse against his cock.
lewis continued to thrust in and out of you as he groaned louder the closer he got.
he pulled out and jerked his cock as white strings of cum covered your lower stomach. you watch as he slows his movements and comes to a stop.
he lays down next to you and sighs in pleasure. the only sound that could be heard was the panting coming from both you and lewis.
"are you okay?" he asks as he reaches over and grabs a towel to wipe the cum off of your stomach.
you nod and offer him a small smile before cuddling up to him after he was done wiping you down.
"thank you for this" you whisper an lay your head on his chest
"my pleasure, love" he says and kisses the top of your head.
you close your eyes and fall asleep with a smile on your face.

@wolfstarmicrofic | April 23:rd Teacher AU | Also inspired by this incredible post | 971 words
“It’s because I’m gay.”
Dora’s words had echoed in his head for the better duration of two years.
Two years.
Jesus Christ.
It sounds more clear now that there isn’t an ever pressing haze of alcohol clouding his brain. But alas, he frankly can’t afford to be an alcoholic anymore. He wasn’t even that good at it. A bottle of wine every evening and Remus just turned into a weepier version of his otherwise quite bleak self and watched old rom-coms on tv until he fell asleep on the couch.
But an English teacher’s salary isn’t hefty enough to really support a proper addiction and Remus hadn’t ever been the type of person to steal a car or break into someone’s house just to fuel his habit. With his luck he’d get caught right away anyway.
“This can’t come as a surprise, Rem, we never even had an active sexlife.”
Sure, fine, maybe they hadn’t. But they had been married for years; university best friends turned adult lovers and confidants turned married at twenty five and divorced at thirty three.
The divorce had at least been simple, easy, just like anything else about their relationship. One second she was there, dying her hair in the tub and staining it all bubblegum pink — the next she was moving out and downloading lesbian dating apps.
Remus munches salad from his little packed lunch. He should be planning his classes whilst having lunch — he refuses to, he’d rather sit here all bent-backed and pretend that the salad actually tastes better, that he isn’t regretting moving across the country to get away from it all. That his new life isn’t sinking his mood just like the old one did.
There’s a knock on his classroom door.
Remus looks up from his sad salad. “Come in?”
The door, covered in prints of Shakespeare plays and old illustrations of Of Mice and Men and other English class classics, opens to reveal the knocker.
Sirius has his hair in a bun today, black strands tied back and into a scrunchy that could rival the cheekiest of cheerleaders’. Other than that he is in his usual all black attire, all except his rainbow colored lanyard which holds his keys and the miniature periodic table keyring.
Sirius smiles. It’s all gray eyes that look like they’re sparkling under the hideous fluorescents and can make even the toughest lunch lady blush.
“Hi Remus, is this a bad time?”
Remus tries to swallow the tightness in his throat.
He can’t really deal with Sirius popping by like this, he’s done it quite frequently since Remus’ first week.
“No, not really,” he says, trying to keep his hands from fiddling and his eyes from darting around the room. “What can I help you with?”
Sirius shrugs, careless and relaxed. “I was just wondering if I could borrow your stapler. Seems like mine’s wandered off.”
Sirius drives a motorbike to school.
Remus saw him get off it in the parking lot not too long ago. It felt like the world stood still or maybe moved in slow motion when Sirius removed his helmet and shook his hair out, kitted out in leather. Then his neck got all hot, for some god forsaken reason, and he had to go splash cold water on his face before facing his students in the first period.
So many of Sirius’ supplies have gone missing in the short time where they have worked together.
“Erhm… Yeah, sure— absolutely,” Remus stumbles through sentences as he stands to go fetch the stapler in the supply closet. He turns the little key and quickly looks over the closet, a bit too aware that Sirius is coming closer; if he isn’t misinterpreting the scuff of boots on the floor.
He grabs the stapler, turns around. “Here.”
Sirius is right behind him, right in front of him now. Looking up at Remus with his easy smile and rows of lovely black lashes and… and… and pink lips.
“Thanks, I’ll give it back as soon as I’m done, okay?”
“Yeah…”
Sirius leaves. Remus has to go sit down, he’s feeling dizzy.
“Are you even attracted to me, Rem? I mean— it’s fine if you aren’t. Maybe I’m not your type or something.”
There was always something hidden in Dora’s words, at least in those words. Remus hadn’t come any closer to figuring them out, not even two years later.
He just sits in his darkening apartment, playing those words over and over whilst watching-but-not-really-watching tv. He should really go over to Sirius’ classroom tomorrow. You know, just to make sure he remembers to give the stapler back. And it has absolutely nothing to do with what Dora said those years ago, nothing at all.
In the following morning, Remus dresses in his good shirt and wrestles with his hair for a touch longer than usual. Why? Don’t worry about it.
He goes into work with a determination and anxiety churning in his belly.
He walks up to Sirius’ classroom, a print of Neil deGrasse Tyson on the door, and knocks.
Deep breath.
Sirius opens the door. Light eyes and smiling lips and an overall undeniably beautiful face.
Stapler, that’s what he’s there for.
“Will you go out with me?”
What?! No!
Remus was supposed to ask about the stapler!
Fuck!
Sirius just looks back up at him, glittering eyes and widening smile. He doesn’t say anything.
Remus tries to backpedal. “The stapler — I really need my stapler, that’s what I meant.”
Sirius just smiles. “So I just missed the point two second window of going out with you?”
There’s cotton in Remus’ ears, ringing in his brain. “No— I mean… Wait— Did you want to go out with me?”
Sirius’ smile looks like it’s almost too big for his face. “I thought you’d never ask.”

...winking at Shaggy’s pothead reputation. Here, the iconic slacker is presented as Norville (Sam Richardson), a clear-eyed band geek who tells Velma, “Man, if I even think about getting into 420, 420 culture or especially 420-related humor, kill me.” (The pair then clarify that 420 is “code for adults who still watch cartoons.”)
For every solid crack (“Ranking hot girls is exactly how the Trojan War and Facebook started!”), there’s an observation that feels like a repurposed Twitter draft from some harried screenwriter’s folder. “I speak truth without a filter, like every comedian before #MeToo,” declares Velma, never mind that the line doesn’t make a ton of sense coming from a proud feminist teenager in 2023. Amid the semi-topical snipes at teen rom-coms, yass-queen feminism, hairy Brooklynites and, for some reason, the movie Serpico, the future Scooby-Doo gang and their peers can come off less like individuals than joke-delivery machines.
I'm begging people. No hate-watching. No "how bad could it be, I'm curious"-watching. HBO canceled tons of wonderful unique original content in favor of a mean-spirited overly-meta reboot of an old property, resulting in a show that even the most eager-to-praise-everything publications struggled to give more than a 6/10.
If you want to encourage the megacorporations to make good original new content, just let this one flop like a fish in a railway ditch.

✫ 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 . . . y/n cromwell was nothing if not a sophisticated, pampered, and ambitious socialite. she had lived in manhattan for about five years with her workaholic mother since her divorce with from her father. in the five years she had lived in the upper-east side, she had conquered the elites and made them her minions. she was living her best life until she heard the worst news she could ever fathom...
tristan dugray was nothing like y/n, in any sense other than maybe the fact they were both rich, spoiled and rather confident - okay, maybe they had more in common than what meets the eye. they hadn't seen each other since she had moved away with her mother five years ago and they were happy that way.
until of course, her mother decided it would be best for y/n to spend the next few months with her father back in connecticut after y/n got in trouble with her friend group. what y/n didn't know until she eventually got to connecticut was that her father was engaged to none other than tristan dugray's mother. how could her year get any worse?
