On Loki, Joss Whedon, Spike, and The Princess and the Frog (really, there's a connection)

Season 2 of Loki is out in 16 days and the video essay on the romanticisation of abuse I've been working on for two years and planned to time with its release doesn't even have a full script.

But also evolved to understand that all heroines that are supposed to be self-inserts, from indeed Loki fanfic to actually published ones (from twilight to a discovery of witches) tend to be thought up by white people, because non white people know that you can't have something "innate" you're appreciated about, because all we have innately the system uses against us so we have to *work* at having good things to offer to the world.

And that's why of all princesses, Tiana from the princess and the frog is the only one talking about work. It's not a metaphor, it's that we know.

And I just wish I had the energy to make a beautiful enlightening 80 minutes essay to ride the coattails of the Loki character that just happened to become the panties twister he did because of the great abuser that is Joss Whedon (you mewling quim) because that's what he's always done: create characters he hopes people hate (Spike) given to accidentally good actors that fuck his expectations over... and then you have stuff like the Hall H speech of 2013 and they make their own life...

So yeah, would be interesting wouldn't it?

So I was listening to some of "Jim's" ASMR videos tonight to help me sleep. First I listened to his two Loki videos (He needs to do more as Loki, and Count Dracula for that matter). And then I started to listen to an old favorite. His Sandman ASMR video from years before there was Netflix TV series. It's eerie how much he sounds like Tom Sturridge even though this was years before Tom Sturridge was cast to play Morpheus. It kind of reminds me of when I dreamt there was a Sandman animated special where David Tennant provided a voice. (I had that dream and posted about it years before there was a Sandman Netflix series and also long before the bonus episode, Dream of a thousand Cats, where David Tennant did provide a voice. Anyway, as I thought about how eerie it is that Jim's Sandman ASMR video is is pretty accurate to a show that didn't exist yet, it dawned on me that Tom Sturridge's voice when playing Morpheus is like he's attempting making an ASMR.

And it kind of works.

For those who don't know what an ASMR video is. It's a video that uses certain audio tricks and triggers, from clicking sounds, or whispers and these can induce a tingling in the scalp, which many people find relaxing and helps induce sleep. How fitting that Morpheus sounds like an ASMR! Though, I confess I actually think James McAvoy's portrayal in The Sandman audio drama is my favorite voice for Morpheus.

Before you introduce your fans to your OCs, what motivated you to do a ASMR role-play of Guzma, Sidon, Alucard, Cloud, Axel, Loki and Reno? I’m sure theirs more but those are the only non oc’s I loved 🥰 (ps how’s you’re adorable bundle of furr baby doing?)

I found them interesting, personally on my list of characters I'd bang, and popular enough to warrant content being made for them!
