I have a big ol Sweet hc dump here so here are some romantic headcanons and how I think they’d end up together!

They were extremely close friends way before they got together. Because of this, they all caught the “I’m never saying anything about this in case it hurts our friendship” disease

Sweet is a ticking time bomb in terms of bottling his emotions because he’s TERRIBLE at it. Before he said anything, he’d crack unknowingly and just swoon openly and be extremely sappy for .5 seconds before catching himself

Cap’n thought he was straight. he really, truly did. and then he fell for not one but two people who Are Not Women and had a crisis. He was already casually affectionate with them, so he actually became more reserved out of worry for crossing boundaries.

K_K tried their hardest to be chill about it, which actually sort of worked; because neither Sweet nor Cap’n reacted negatively to open affection, they just kept doing what they always did, which in turn made the other two more comfortable expressing themselves. and so they entered a loop of “Affection --> Positive Reaction --> More Affection.” K_K is the reason 1) Sweet didn’t explode and 2) Cap’n started being more affectionate

This lead to them eventually doing very sappy romantic things together all while being like “yes :) best friends we are :) hanging out with the homies :))” They start holding hands, cuddling, sometimes falling asleep w/ another. all as friends. of course. friends who eventually start sharing a bed and sleep in hugging each other. friends kiss each other sometimes right. as long as it’s not on the mouth ahaha.

This Extremely Specific Scene has burned itself into my brain and it’s the only way I can visualize them bringing up their Feelings(tm): They’re all getting ready for bed, like any other night. K_K turns out the lamp. for a minute all’s peaceful as they start to fall asleep. Cap’n’s Wide Awake. “I think we’re dating,” he says. Suddenly the other two are wide awake as well.

Once they establish that yes, all of them have feelings for each other, they officially start dating. absolutely nothing changes about their routine for days afterwards because they’re all like “well?? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?”

Ok now onto more specific stuff post-romance-established (and this post would be Long otherwise)

Sweet may not have a mouth but that doesn’t stop them from giving them affectionate bonks on the forehead (bc he can’t usually reach K_K he tries to subtly get them to pick him up in a hug. he is not being subtle but K_K goes along with it anyways).

Sweet loves baking dessert stuff (sweets, if you will,) and sometimes he makes them little treats

Sweet will hug Cap’n out of the blue sometimes (usually in private, since Cap’n gets jumpy and isn’t a fan of pda) to just. hold him. Sometimes u just gotta hold ur warm soft partner and grip them by the jacket tight so they can’t wiggle away

Cap’n overheats if smothered. Sweet is the one who finds this out the hard way by trying to be suave and flirty and suddenly Cap’n starts smoking. it absolutely saps their energy so the other two try not to break them

Sometimes, Cap’n will idly hold their hands. doesn’t matter if they’re even doing the same thing or just walking somewhere. they just gotta hold hands sometimes

Cap’n’s love language is gift giving so sometimes when they’re out in the city they’ll see a thing that reminds them of them and get it. they got Sweet their headphones and K_K has a hundred little trinkets like bracelets, gloves, belts, etc. Neither Sweet nor K_K were used to getting gifts of the “I saw this and thought of you” variety so it gets em right in the soul every time

K_K will just. bend over and smooch em whenever they feel like it. annihilate your partners with this one easy trick!

K_K sometimes doesn’t communicate when they want some affection, but the others pick up on it because they’ve known each other for so long.  they love being hugged but is usually the one doing the hugging so they just melt whenever the turns table. can’t stop smiling real wide from the love!!

K_K plays music in their sleep sometimes. it’s just a quiet, basic melody a few seconds long, but the others like listening to it if they happen to be awake when it happens

Once K_K is asleep they are out and nothing’s waking them up. More than once they’ve trapped Sweet or Cap’n in their arms in the morning

Neither Cap’n nor K_K say “I love you” very often for different reasons: Cap’n’s shy and K_K doesn’t think it needs to be said sometimes, that actions speak louder than words. Sweet says it the most and it gets them both right in the feels every time

They pretty much never argue; after so long together, they’ve accepted their differences and learned to work through them. any bickering is minor and it’s only a matter of time before they shuffle back to each other to apologize

When they’re all sleeping together, their soul-beats sync up

-idk he just likes hanging out w/ you, he's not great with telling you he appreciates you and he's not super sappy w/ his friends so he does it in other ways (usually going 'hey this made me think of you' or picking up things you wanted for you every now and then)

-he's not a fan of talking about his problems (it makes him feel vulnerable and antsy so he prefers to keep it bottled up :[ ) but he tends to go to you if he's ever in a state where he just needs to chill out a little. usually doesn't speak very much but he'll just kinda. walk over and sit down next to you and watch whatever it is you're doing. you can usually tell because he'll only give little nods and grunts to any questions you give (i hc him as having moments where he doesn't have the energy to really talk) but he really enjoys just listening to you ramble or talk to him to get his mind off things

-also i refuse to believe you're THAT tall so he gives you his clothes (mainly his jacket) a lot, he just likes seeing them on you :) tends to kinda lean down and give you a kiss on the forehead / temple whenever he notices you're wearing them

now it’s probably obvious that being tendou’s best friend is already going to be one of the best things that could ever happen to you just by looking at him

i mean, mans is a walking ball of crackhead energy

and while being around tendou is a guarantee for having the time of your life, i feel like there’s a lot more to him than a lot of people realize, especially in the way he’d act in a close friendship

he knows what it’s like to feel left out, so he always wants you to feel like you belong somewhere and won’t let you feel alone anywhere

he’s the kind of friend that will facetime you during lunch if he’s sick so you don’t have to sit alone without him

he’s also very attentive and notices small details that other people may look over, he’s always the first person to notice if something’s bugging you or if you’re feeling down about something and he’ll ask if you want to talk about it after school when you’re in private

a very good listener, not the kind of person that will try to shove solutions down your throat, but he’s supportive and will help you try to feel better if you ask him to

also a master at cheering people up after a rough day, you can’t help but burst into giggles whenever he does something stupid to try and get you to smile, he’ll conquer anything that’s making you upset

with him around, you’ll never feel alone or unwanted because you know he’ll always be there no matter what

if you’re clingy or know how to show affection really well through acts of service or words of affirmation, you’ll make a really good pair since he likes to be reassured

will blush if you compliment him or say something you like about him, and he’ll say something nice about you immediately after too

one time tendou accidentally dropped it on the person that was sitting in front of you’s head and you guys had to just  b o o k  i t  out of there

he always lets you borrow his hoodies if you ask for them since they’re huge on you and he thinks it’s cute

you’re one of the only people besides ushijima that he’s opened up to about his childhood, and if you’ve been bullied too it’ll make you even closer to him since you share it

you make sure he knows how special he is and how much you care about him all the time when he gets insecure

on the last day of high school he tears up while telling you how much you mean to him

you guys stay just as close after high school, calling each other every day

you end up visiting him in france, it’s the best two weeks of your life spent together with him and you eventually end up moving there with him

komori, MOTOYA

as a best friend, komori is the perfect person for someone that wants to have someone that’s caring and stable but also still fun to be around and knows how to lighten up

everyone knows komori is our favorite sweet boy that takes care of his icy cousin but i personally believe he secretly has a mischievous side to him you know???

like he’s still very sweet but he DEF knows how to pull a good prank

the kind of kid that’ll show up on exam day and get straight a’s and then give all of his teachers big thank you gifts but a week later someone will catch him drawing massive unicorns and care bears all over the school grounds with chalk like nothing’s wrong

he would never intentionally cause any actual harm to anyone though, he’s still very respectful and doesn’t want to actually break any school rules because he doesn’t want to get in trouble and make his teachers feel bad :’(

if you forget your lunch he’s the type to split his with you

he’ll also walk you to every class even if he’s all the way across the building bc he’s nice like that :’)))

will totally laugh if you trip over your own feet in the hallway but will always stop and help you up and ask you if you’re okay after

a sweetie, your parents probably love him because whenever he comes over he always asks if he can help with cooking and cleaning and stuff like that

together, you guys like to do stuff like study together as well as do stuff like reading horror mangas together and watching old disney movies

every once and a while he’ll ask you to go for a run with him in the morning if sakusa won’t go with him and he’ll go slow just so you don’t feel like you have to keep up with him bc he doesn’t want to wear you out right before school

he likes that you know you can find stability in him, you know he’ll always be by your side no matter what’s happening outside your friendship

also loves it when you come to his games, you yell at him from the stands really loud and he’ll wave back from the court and smile really big up at you as sakusa grumbles next to him :’)

even though your relationship is lighthearted, you can still come to him with whatever issues you’ve been going through and he’ll listen as best as he can, he’ll even open up to you as well and be vulnerable about whatever he’s struggled with in the past too

if you guys didn’t wear school uniforms, he would 100% match outfits with you no matter what your style is like

like tendou, he’ll also really appreciate it if you make him a friendship bracelet to wear and he won’t want to take it off

the day you graduate, he probably cries because he’ll miss you so much if you end up going to different universities

he doesn’t really have a hard time admitting it, but you really do mean a lot to him

even after high school, you guys still stay in touch and visit each other as often as you can, with you eventually moving back to your hometown so you’ll see each other often again and you end up staying close

you’re probably the closest friendship he’s ever had :’)

while he has a laid back attitude, kunimi still cares very much about your friendship believe it or not

he’s very nonchalant about it, but would still die for you 100% if things came to that

as seen with his friendship with kindaichi, despite being a very chill person kunimi is still attentive to other people’s feelings and will notice if something’s wrong with you or if something’s upset you

if you’re feeing insecure or upset he won’t hesitate to reassure you, even though he has a hard time opening up he’ll still remind you how he feels about you and how much he cares about you

he’s definitely not overly sappy about it though, he just kind of says what he thinks and moves on

in school, people are probably intimidated by you because you’re so quiet around others plus mans is like 6ft tall-

speaking of 6ft tall, if some guys are creeping you out or making you uncomfortable he’ll intervene and scare them so you have a chance to slip away while he makes them question their life existence

not to mention if anybody ever tries to pick on you, he’ll say something simple but so rude they’ll be so taken aback they just end up leaving you alone in shock

so i mention it a lot but craig and kenny....homies. like they have such a fun roommate dynamic. theyre really only friends outside of school tbh. theyll be partners in like gym or whatever but they have their own respective friend groups and r okay with that :-) but they live in like....the same neighborhood? Hi, here are my recs! They’re mostly Erin’s but I do have a few that I’m kinda proud of.

Tell Me (Seungcheol): I love anything that involves a character not telling their friends, family, s/o or really anyone about the struggles they go through and Erin really hits the nail on the head here.

Take This to Heart (Seungcheol): This song is really special to me and Cheol is  really special to me. What better way to combine the two than this?

Call Call Call (Jeonghan): I don’t know why I love this one, but it’s really sweet and dorky and telemarketer part just gets me every time.

Everything You Are (Jeonghan): Originally I hated this one when I wrote it just bc I was angry and I didn’t wanna post it just bc it’s not a happy one. It’s on my list now bc you can grow from something that feels like the end of the world and you can come out on top, and sometimes we have to remember that our idols are human.

Three’s a Crowd (Jeonghan): I love how Erin managed to keep the core friendship platonic while adding the third person...who also happens to be the other best friend. 

Kiss Me Slowly: (Jeonghan): At the end of the day, I love the thin line of friends to more and when to cross it.

I can’t believe Erin’s really gonna make me say this and I can’t believe I am too. The deception. All the Joshua fics have been my favorite bc they’re either so sweet and fluffy and domestic and leave you happy for the rest of the day or they just kinda shatter your heart. It’s fine though.

Hold This (Junhui): It’s super lame and it’s so dorky and it’s the sweetest thing ever. I can never stop smiling like an idiot whenever I reread it.

Kissing in Cars (Junhui): I can’t really explain this one, but I hold it dearly in my heart. This song from Pierce the Veil just makes me feel everything and this boy makes me feel everything. If there’s any fic I’d want y’all to read, it’s this one.

My Fairy Tale (Junhui): The friends to lovers; the bittersweet feelings; the last sentence that ties it together; I just love everything.

Carnival (Junhui): The secretly dating thing gets me every time, especially when they get caught and it’s just very fall-y.

Midnight (Junhui): The whole pining thing in a fic is very underrated, especially when everyone knows someone has to confess but they don’y. I love the realism and how you just wanna yell at the screen and writer to make them come together. 

Come Back (Junhui): ANGST my dudes!!!! I live for things like this!!!! I love that sometimes not everything we write has to be sickly sweet and happy. I WANT TO FEEL THINGS. I WANNA CRY UGLY TEARS and then cheer at the happy ending. 

7 Things (Soonyoung): I think that as a writer, one of my favorite things that I’ve done was give readers hope, only to just take it away it and this one did it justice. Erin and Haley haven’t forgiven me for this one but I did warn everyone. 

Make You Smile (Soonyoung): I’m a nerd at heart and if anything has pens, paper, a notebook, books as the key thing in a fic (along with coffee shops), I’m a goner. And it’s so sappy!!!! You can hear my heart crying!!!!

Firsts (Soonyoung): I’m very bad with feelings and this just made me happy for some reason.

Can I have This Dance? (Soonyoung): I loved this a lot more than I thought I would to be honest. Erin just has a simplistic happy way of writing and I know that everything will be alright.  

Movies (Wonwoo): A Halloween-ish type special from Erin that is hysterical to me for some reason. (Bonus points for the gif she uses!)

Favorite (Wonwoo): Small moments leading up to the big finale? My heart does a thing still!

Terrible Things (Wonwoo): This one I was really wanted to do bc it was a story begging to be told and Erin liked this too???

Speak Now (Wonwoo): You know when you read a book that completely shatters your heart but you go back and reread in hopes it ends differently? This is it. I will never forgive Erin for this one bc she came out with this one around the time I dropped the fact that Wonwoo wasn’t my main bias anymore and -ouch. This is probably my favorite one she’s done.

a headcanon or possibly writing thingy: for symbiotes, names are more of like an impression of various emotions and experiences they attach to each other. whenever venom says eddie's name, it comes attached with it's own little set of impressions. eddie eventually picks up on this and tries to project the same whenever he's addressing his symbiote.

god im sorry this has been sitting in my inbox for ages BUT i wrote something for it. some fluff and emotional hurt/comfort. also for this I used capitalized They/Them for Venom bc why not. it also has some added headcanons on how Venom behaves when in love and in a safe place (such as nesting behaviors because im so fucking SOFT for that stuff)

Eddie. Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie. Eddie.

Venom says Eddie’s name so much these days. Their sentences often begin with Eddie and end with Eddie.

Eddie, we are hungry Eddie.

Eddie, we don’t like that person, Eddie.

Eddie, this color is perfect for the walls of our nest, Eddie.

(Nest? He thinks with a chuckle. That’s right; the symbiote has been referring to their home as a nest lately and even spends most of Their time in bed with Eddie kneading the blankets before they go to sleep).

Eddie doesn’t mind Venom saying his name so much. In fact, he loves it. He loves the acknowledgement and the little wave of happiness their bond swells with as Venom purrs it out.

Happiness…. Happiness, joy, affection, warmth, and love — oh god the love Venom feels for him. He’s Venom’s lifeline. He gives Venom life and could just as easily take it away by simple rejection and, oh gosh, the trust They put into him. It’s overwhelming. And it’s not even just that; Venom feels romantic love as well, craving Eddie’s warmth and touch and everything about him, even his awkward behaviors and the occasional mental health issues Eddie has.

Venom speaks his name with such reverence and love and acceptance that Eddie nearly starts crying when it gets to be too much.

Eddie… Eddie…

“What’s with, uh, all the s-sappy feelings, love?”

Mhhnn…  The symbiote begins chewing on the blanket they’re both currently sharing, the fabric not really shredding but certainly getting caught on Their teeth. Eddie pulls the blanket away from Them and They knead it between strong claws instead. They both ignore the residual drool.

“Come on, you can tell me.”

Love you… Eddie

“Yeah, babe, but this is a bit more than usual. What’s up?”

They’re silent for a moment, pondering just how to explain. An alien mind is much different from Eddie’s. Sometimes Venom needs a few moments to gather Their thoughts, or else whatever They say might come out a bit bluntly.

Just… Love you. Your name has meaning to us and we wish for you to feel it. Love. Love Eddie. Love. Trust. Exhilaration. Calm. All at once. Klyntar give names impressions to express between each other. Names with meaning gives a sense of identity away from the hivemind.

Eddie gives a solid nod. It’s a concept he can’t really grasp as he’s not a part of a hivemind nor has he had such a mental bond between anyone else (a fact Venom is very proud to be the first of). But he tries to imagine two symbiotes communicating, calling each other’s names through… chemicals or however they did and having little feelings and thoughts behind the names, sending said feelings back and forth.

“And what impression does your name usually have?”

The symbiote goes quiet at this, though not because They need time to think. No, They get that embarrassed look on Their face, much like the look They get when Eddie first caught Them watching real estate shows at 4AM while eating chips.

Venom. Aberration. Weakling. Loser. Greedy. Needy. A small pause and then a pained whine. Parasite to the Klyntar…

“Wh… That’s… what the others think of you?”

Yes. We… I was nearly imprisoned for wanting to have a complete bond with a host instead of total control and dominance. I was to be studied for my behavior and then destroyed. Instead of eating a host, I wanted to bond with them. Symbiosis. Such is deviation from the norm and would make participation in conquest… difficult. They made a sulky huff. All have rejected me save for you. So I suppose it does not matter much anyways.

Eddie was speechless. Though Venom wasn’t human, They had a shit self esteem and made up for it by being relatively narcissistic and possessive. Nearly six hundred million years of dealing with these feelings and it wasn’t like They could just ignore it what with those impressions being tacked on to Venom’s very name. To Venom’s very soul.

How would he ever fix all of that? He couldn’t. That was the realistic conclusion. But Eddie could at least make it better. Eddie could… give Venom’s name new meaning.

In fact, he already has.

“Well, to hell with what they think. You’re here with me now. This is our world. I-”

Ah, but Eddie doesn’t understand. It is not that simple.

“Shhh… how about you just listen and feel.”

And Eddie speaks Venom’s name a hundred times over. Each time, he gives Them a strong emotion. Love. Adoration. Protection. Trust. Happiness. Loyalty. Reassurance. All the things that Venom makes him feel and each time, Venom kneads the blanket and nuzzles into the crook of Eddie’s neck, purring and becoming overwhelmed with their shared feelings.

Eddie. Eddie. Eddie…

They kiss, tongues sliding with gentle movements. But even then, Eddie is still chanting Venom’s name in his head — through their bond.

Through their love.

And through their love, the name ‘Venom’ gets new meanings that easily trumps all previous ones. Whenever Eddie speaks Their name, those feelings soar through the two of them. He makes sure to do the same for other names he gives Venom as well. Vee. Darling. Baby. Love. Love. Love.

Yes. Love is what we are.

Director's cut on that kuroyaku fic you posted recently the 5 things one

Okay so that was a commission i got almost within hours of posting that i was open for them, and I had never ever written for them before, but damn was I gonna try.

So I started brainstorming and the list style fic was something I'd always wanted to try? So I pitched it to the client and she liked it, so from there I just kinda started brainstorming the lists.

Yakus was tons of fun to write. I liked the idea of him being soft and cute, so i had the teas and milk thing-- originally, he'd been the one with the lock thing? But i ended up giving that to kuroo bc yaku gets treated enough like a mom, so it was nice making him like. A little looser, here.

The next thing was the kouhai thing right, which was my way of still including the whole mom-ish thing, and like tbh the thing where kuroo starts teasing him and being lowkey sexy was SO UNPLANNED it wasnt even funny. I just realized midway through typing dialogue that, hey, wait, why is kuroo just talking to yaku what happened to the kouhai-- the whole point of this item is the kouhai-- and rather than like. Deleting my hard work (all of 2 paragraphs), i just went and typed in the bit with lev about parents and stuff. It was funny and i could totally see it happening, and from there i was like yeah, kuroo would roll with it. He likes provoking people anyway. So that was fun.

Also i think a lot of why i went in that direction was bc even tho the client actually gave me th freedom to decide whether i wanted it romantic or not, im a sucker for sexual/romantic tension, so i totally. Just like. Ran with these statements that werent like explicitly romantic or whatever, but you could sorta feel a bit of tension-- like when kuroo leans over yaku, right? Theyre pressed together, back to chest. Kuroos head is near yakus ear. Its all very to-the-point. But you do know that something is up, bc yaku notes that its probably uncomfortable, not to mention the fact that yaku actually notes that he can feel the rumble of kuroos laugh or whatever, rather than just saying, oh, hes here, etc-- like that says something. Hes paying closer attention that you probably would if ut was just. A Thing if you know what i mean.

AH the drunk thing is next this was my fave. So i couldnt think of drunk shenanigans on my own, and i ended up brainstorming with a friend over chat. The married joke ended up being brought up again while we were talking and i was like oh yknow, this could be useful. Thats how the joke ended up lasting the whole fic instead of being like. A one time thing. Honestly it was tons of fun thinking about clingy, very loose and free drunk yaku, and kuroo as a gay disaster is my fave kuroo to write, so obviously he made it in here too.

The relied on thing... that was something i put in bc i wanted something a little deeper than the random everyday stuff id put in, and i figured considering hes so often considered like. Team mom, and hes a libero to boot, like noya, he probably likes being the one to give his team faith to play their best, bc he has their backs. Thats kinda it really.

And the last thing was just me liking sappy yaku again lmao. And btw, 36 questions is totally a legit podcast musical, listen to it, it made me cry just about the same part yaku cries at.

For kuroo, the first item was the thing with the locks that id meant to give yaku... but. Eh. If youre wondering where it came from, its something i do. I check the locks repeatedly bc my dad gets mad when i forget, bc obvs, safety concerns. But actually, kuroos list was a little different at first. (Ignore yakus, i cant figure out how to delete the picture from here goddammit mobile)

Now obviously most of the items stayed the same, especially for yaku's, but kuroo's item 2 fucked me over bc i dont. Actually remember enough of my chemisty to produce a full-blown fanboy ramble. Sorry kuroo.

So what ended up being there was the thing with the whole "looks mean, is a dork" item. It was actually the very last thing i wrote, bc it took me a while to come up with it as a replacement.

Item three was cute and i liked the idea of it, but it took me a bit to decide on how to show it! In the end i figured it would be nice to see yaku being appreciated and how close theyve grown, so thats what i went with. I was really happy with it.

The fourth one was planned almost from the start. Once i came up with the idea for it, i knew id probably show it through kuroo getting over a break up. I didnt intend to actually include the break up. Just sorta mention it, but... it felt too short without it.

I was actually iffy about yakus sorta confession here. I had a friend who, apparently, got confessed to while she was crying in a guys lap? And thats? Dont take advantage of other peoples weak moments to get yourself in their good graces, kids. But i felt like yaku would have wanted to be honest. Thats why i didnt have kuroo discuss it with him right away, and why i let yaku pretend it didnt happen. Bc thats not the time. Yaku would want to prove it over time, and kuroo would want to be over his gf first. Its healthier that way.

The leader thing is something i feel is a given for most people, but in my head kuroo isnt the type who like. He doesnt aim to be leader. He just is, sometimes, as necessity dictates. Hes not ambitious in that sense that he runs for class president or whatever. And i felt like it was interesting to kind of play with that idea here.

What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?I MEAN he’s sixteen he’s still technically a child but basically the most common thing he hears is stop slacking and work harder. being an asian kid getting As is? absolutely crucial he’ll be smacked upside the head by his parents if he doesn’t so they always tell him to stop slacking tf off n actually study for once (tbh it’s fine he’s a genius practically he gets As easier than u can say banana split)

Does it haunt them?once he set out twenty peeps just behind the wheels of his mom’s car and when she backed out the entire wheels got covered in peeps and when she came home saying there was all this weird gooey stuff on her wheels and looked pointedly at him. he just blurted out that it was god exacting judgement on her for her sins. it didn’t end well. he ended up washing the entire car by himself. it still haunts him to this day

Or a joke? it’s honestly whatever’s the most recent thing he observed, heard or experienced when it comes to stories. he has no shortage of words to say and his fav sort of memes and jokes are politically nihilistic ones. so those are? in a way his go to?

Could they be considered lazy? yes. he only applies himself if he’s interested and for most of school he has no qualms abt being a lil sus and casually “accidentally” getting the answers to things so yeah that’s. that could be considered lazy. however, when he does care abt smth he will absolutely dedicate himself to it. he practices piano consistently and diligently day in and day out so it honestly depends on if he cares or not

How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt? v difficult. he rarely becomes guilty for longer than .4 seconds but when it does he’s srsly going to internalize that bc if he’s feeling guilty he prbly f-ed up real bad. he also won’t rlly talk abt it to anyone so it’s even more likely it’ll just get internalized

Are they supportive? that’s extremely dependent on who it is and what it is. if it’s sev he’ll b v supportive but sev is a VERY big exception in most cases also sev rarely gets visibly excited abt things so it’s usually a cause for celebration when he does. if josie (his bff) is excited abt smth? if he can relate he’ll be excited for her but if he can’t he’ll TRY his best but there will be some teasing involved bc that’s how he diffuses confusion. their other bff will get the same treatment but w slightly more effort bc she’s more sensitive but gosh if it’s someone he doesn’t know rlly well he’ll be rlly confused he’ll be like good for u ha?? or someone he knows casually. they’ll get teased so he tries but he also sucks at life. for such a great analyst he’s terrible at being socially delicate

we always talk about pre-relationship klance like what about the actual relationship ya feel

to start off they absolutely get together in the dorkiest way possible like its either 100% sappy or 100% embarrassing and by accident there is no in between 

they did that fanfic corny scene where lance was about to confess and keith realized before he even finished his sentence and just goes for the smooch

except its terrible theres too much teeth and their noses crash into each other its just a mess 

its also both their first kiss 

even after they both confess its takes them like a week to get up the courage to ask each other out bc theyre both nerds

lance plans on trying to keep it small bc he thinks keith doesnt really want anything big and cheesy

keith plans on absolutely making it as cheesy as possible bc he thinks lance would prefer big and cheesy to small and ordinary

they literally plan to ask each other out on the same damn day

keith asks hunk to make lances favorite food for lunch and asks pidge to hook up the projector so they can watch an altean romcom they wont understand anyway but catch keith trying to take notes during the fluffy scenes 

hunk and pidge tease them to hell and back but theyre really happy for them so they go through with his requests

lance and keith both keep looking at each other during the movie wondering if they’ll be like that at some point and blush throughout the whole damn thing

in the beginning theyre just really really really nervous still bc theyve both been pining for a long time and dont wanna mess this up

when they start out, lance initiates most of the physical contact first like hand holding, putting his arm around keiths shoulders, that sorta thing bc keith is so fucking nervous and was never good at expressing himself but he eventually initiates it to he loves seeing how happy lance looks when he does

theyre both flustered messes but keith is really bad

they dont kiss yet bc theyre practically walking nervous systems 

they hold hands a lot tho lance has soft hands bc of his skin care routines so a lot of times keith will just idly play with lances fingers because it calms him

lance still makes fun of keiths hair but it dies down little by little bc hes always wanted to play in that dang mullet tbh

it started on the couch in that lounge room they have but one time hunk walked in and keith was practically passed out with his head on lances lap and he felt so embarrassed bc it feels really intimate and they both would rather keep stuff like that in their rooms so they do

whenever they go to a planet keith tries to look for things he thinks lance would like. hes not good with words so he tries to express himself through other means

the first time keith gave lance a gift from a planet it was a cat plushie bc its pretty fucking obvious lance likes cats

when keith gives it to him he stares at the ground and just like thrusts it out to him bc hes so nervous and lance takes it slowly, cautiously, and when hes stopped astral projecting into another plane of existence he kisses keith on the cheek bc he love love loooovvveess it

whenever theyre planet side and lance sees a romantic couple he squeezes keiths hand (bc theyre already holding hands they never stop) and gets this fond and hopeful look on his face

lance wants every planet they meet to know keith is his boyfriend (he never gets tired of saying it) so whenever theyre at diplomatic functions and they have to talk to the aliens, he’ll always bring it up somehow 

it ranges from “so it must be difficult fighting this war” “yeah but having keith by my side helps” to “our planet welcomes you young paladin” “thanks and also heres my boyfriend keith the red paladin you know the right arm of voltron? that guy? yeah thats my boyfriend. my boyfriend is the red paladin his name is keith. we’re in a relationship. did you know that? its great im so happy omg this food is so good btw did i mention im dating keith and that keith is my boyfriend?”

lance still flirts sometimes but he never actually wants it to go anywhere. at first this makes keith a little disoriented and he mopes but then they talk and Communicate and lance says that he just likes to flatter people bc it makes them feel good and stuff and so they work it out. so lance still flirts but only a little and not as strongly as he used to 

speaking of communication, in the beginning theyre talking fucking s u ck ed they’d misunderstand each other and it would result in sadness and venting to their respective besties but the third time they get shoved in a room and told to just “talk it out” they realized that they really need to be more open/clear about stuff

eventually they get really good at talking about things to each other. their problem wasnt that they wouldnt talk to each other it was that they just couldnt understand the other so they work on getting to know each other better and it really helps and works out so so great

they both have issues, lance with his self esteem and keith with his abandonment issues and they know that the other cant fix it bc thats not what its about but they definitely help.

unlike lance, keith knows who he is and is confident in his abilities so he tries to help him in that aspect

unlike keith lance has always been a people person and is family oriented so he tries to help keith slowly get overcome it

theyre both really good for each other. they cant “fix” each other obviously but they help one another out so much and it means a lot

they have their first kiss like two months after they got together 

it was after a battle and no not a deadly one you heathens a really really awesome one the teams all smiles and lance pulled a cool move at the end when they formed voltron and they saved a planet and everyones soooo happy and when they get back to the castle lance bolts to keith and just spins him around in a hug smiling and laughing and they smooch

its the best thing theyve ever experienced

they dont stop kissing after that. catch them giving each other little pecks all the time 

at this point they arent as nervous as when they first started 

after long battles theyll just kinda fall into each other

they dont do it in public/in front of the team but they cuddle a l o t

keiths two favorite places are in the crooks of lances neck and on his chest to hear his heartbeat 

lance likes to kiss keiths forehead bangs in the way or not if he thinks his man needs some smooches he’ll give him some fucking smooches

the first time they fall asleep together (i mean literally fall asleep not anything nasty pls dont sexualize these boys) locks in for both of them that This Is It ya know

theyre cuddling in lances room keith wearing his jacket and has his face smooshed against his chest lance is playing in keiths hair and his lips are lightly touching his forehead

its after a diplomatic meeting 

theyre both really tired and keith thinks he should probably go back to his room but they both feel too comfortable and everything feels so nice so he doesnt

lance likes listening to keiths voice and vice versa so theyre literally just saying nonsense 

theyre voices drift off into a comfortable silence and eventually they both fall asleep

keith wakes up first and hes confused but then he looks up at lance and how peaceful he looks when hes sleeping and just stares

lance wakes up a little while later and meets eyes with keith but then he notices keiths unruly bed hair and the small spot of drool by keiths mouth and almost cries 

its the best sight either of them have ever seen and at the same time they both think to themselves that they wouldnt mind waking up like this for the rest of their lives
