i feel like ava is undeservingly hated as a character in borderlands 3. i get she's a lil "annoying" or whatever but she's a kid. she's impulsive, impatient, somewhat self serving but like. all teenagers are like that, she's not the only one.

she's an orphan, she left her home planet to survive, she had to trust maya (who she barely knew!!) to keep her alive. maya brought her to athenas, which was soon invaded and she had to abandon yet another home. goes to live in sanctuary with more people she barely knows, and just wants to be involved because she IDOLIZES maya and wants to prove her worth to her. maya fucking dies (not ava's fault and I'll defend that stance tooth and nail) and she's an orphan again and has to bear the guilt of her mentor's death. idk man ava deserves a hell of a lot more empathy than she gets.

i think gearbox is setting up her to be a PC in BL4 or at least i can hope bc i really want to see her grow and evolve. i think she has a lot of pressure on her re: maya and lillith's gifts they bestowed but i think she's gonna be a very capable leader in the future.

Darius is his dad but Raine and Eberwolf are like, honorary parents at this time. Eda and Camila are more like the really close aunts he always visits to me, idk i dont see Eda being a parental figure that works for him (Luz however that is her daughter fr fr)

has lots of scars from Belos trying to "teach him a lesson" about bravery and such and Hunter doesnt think anything about it until hes like changing and Darius does a drama queen dramamgic gasp, hand over chest while leaning against a wall for support

HATES tight clothing, its too restricting he enjoys oversized and loose clothes. in the human world, luz introduces him to skirts and hunter is like "WHY WOULD ANYONE NOT WEAR A SKIRT THEYRE AMAZING"

like in Flyer Derby, hes really good at a lot of sports but he plays untraditionally. hes always underestimated by the other team but then ends up scoring all the winning points

her comfort person is hunter, she feels strong all the time but it weighs on her and hunter makes her feel strong even at her weakest moments

she likes to knot and crochet! she picked it up in the human world and she finds it so calming and fun except it took her a bit before she actually got the hang of it (she made like five sweaters that had three arms but in her defense!!! she knows a lot of creatures and beings with three arms!!!)

works out! not necessarily to get strong but because working out makes her feel accomplished

amity has been trying out new hairstyles and Willow loves being Amity's pracitce head. You can barely ever find willow without some sort of fancy braid or bun hairstyle nowadays

she wants a horse. shes not actually sure what a horse IS but she wants one

super sweet to every new person she meets until they mess with her friends then she is the scariest person alive

Darius

he discovers what drag queens are and becomes obsessed

he DESPISES "if you hate messes so much whyd you pick the messiest magic to learn" comments because how DARE you insinuate that abomination matter (PART OF WHAT HE IS!) is ANYTHING like mud its actually very disrespectful of you to think so he says

he and alador had a falling out in their later years of school and to cover up the hurt, darius will argue and tease him but deep down he really just misses him

at the start of him trying to care for hunter, he refuses to admit that he is like a father to him. anytime eda or raine call him a dad, he'll go out of his way to try and prove hes NOT (cut to five months layer when hes legally adopted hunter and they meecilessly tesse him)

acts like eberwolf is the biggest inconvience hes ever met but would kill anyone who tries to harm them (and hed rather die than tell them that)

does things in threes, he doesnt even notice he does it at this point but he'll like rub his hands together three times, tie his hair up with three twists, eat three waffles for breakfast, and when smth isnt in threes it feels verry OFF to him

Alador

very fixated on his work, he needs to be constantly creating and if he isnt creating then hes falling behind and if hes falling behind its the end of the world

doesnt know how to properly show affection, his parents had been pretty strict and neglectful so he doesnt know how to properly show his kids that he loves and cares for them

NOT a tactile person at all. don't touch him and DEFINTELY dont touch him without permission. he has very few people who are exceptions (his kids and Darius) and even then there are limits

hates the feeling of showering so hes a bigger bath person despite darius telling him thats not an effective way to get clean

he has like eighty pairs of the exact same outfit because its the only texture he can stand

darius and his falling out was due to his parents telling him darius was dragging him down and he itched him in an attempt to make his parents proud. he deeply regrets his choice everyday (they fix their shit eventually)

he DOES have a favourite kid but he refuses to tell them such

If you’re comfortable doing this ~ could you make a fic where MC makes it clear that they may have accepted Belphie they haven’t forgotten?

Like family meal after the incident, Belphie is all bitchy that things are awkward between him and brothers saying MC has forgiven him and MC says that while they tolerate him they do not like him.

I need someone to acknowledge MCs pain, especially for MC to acknowledge it.

I think about this so much, like they literally glossed over the fact Belphie killed MC and it makes me so mad 😭 I hope you'll like this! ^^

Spoilers for Lesson 16!!!!!

You never once thought you'd end up with a fate like this, fate truely is cruel. Thinking a painful death would never happen to you, you failed to see the fact that it didn't matter who you were or what you did with your life; fate will always have it's way with you one way or another. So when the incident occurred, all you could seem to ask yourself was, "Why?"

Even though it's been almost two weeks since the incident, it still felt as if it was only yesterday. Painfully vivid, you remembered exactly how the Avatar of Sloth murdered you in cold blood, the way his tail crushed your throat; forcing you to choke to death on your own blood and his sadistic laughter. A diabolical act done as a form of revenge even though you had genuinely done nothing wrong. While you understood his pain, he directed it as someone who never even hurt him. You forgave him but you didn't forget, you will never forget what he did to you that day. It has haunted you since the moment it took place and you believe it'll terrorize you until the day you die.

So now, here you are at the dinner table with all of the brothers. Everyone decided that it was a good time for the family to finally have the first dinner together where everyone was present, this meant is was your first dinner with Belphie since the incident. You were understandably nervous, hoping that it wouldn't be as awkward as you we're expecting it to be.

Everything was quiet once all the food was set out, even Beel's chewing seemed quieter than usual. Lucifer cleared his throat, "I hope everyone enjoys the food.." Even after what Lucifer's words not a single human or demon spoke, the tension was very visibly chewing away at all of you. "Oh come on... somebody just say something." The silence was once again broken, much to your surprise Belphie was the one who did it. He looked pissed off, he understood why the tension was present; because of what he had done to you not too long ago. "Uhh well, I was thinking of going to Majolish tomorrow, I need some new clothes because my old ones are starting to get a bit worn out." In an attempt to start a conversation you told the brothers about your plans, which had worked for the most part. When almost all of the brothers began to speak, one was still left out, not saying a word. "MC, you should've told me! That way we can go together!" Asmo happily volunteered himself to be your shopping mate which then caused Mammon and him begin to argue about who should go with you.

You smiled to yourself, enjoying the fact the brother's arguing reminded you of two little kids fighting over something miniscule. Something in the corner of your eye caught your attention, next to Beel was his twin who had an irritated expression on his face. You didn't know if you wanted to point it out, afraid that maybe if you do it might just irritate him even more. You began to fidget with your fingers, you truly did want to get on his good side and become friends with him! But after how he brutally murdered you and only accepted you after it was revealed that you were Lillith's descendant if made you feel as if he still hated you but only tolerated you because you were related to Lillith. "Oi, Belphie, MC! The two of you look so down, what's up?" Mammon pointed out your guy's gloomy expressions, when you heard your name your head shot up and without noticing you casted a glance to Belphegor.

While maybe you didn't seem to notice, everyone else in the room did. "Mmm, don't worry about me! I'm alright, I'm just getting a bit-", "Sad?" The dark blue haired demon cut you off, you looked over to Belphie who looked even more pissed off now. "No, no! Just.. tired, that's all." Your eyes returned back to your food, the room had once again gone silent but only for a brief while, "You heard it from them, they're fine so stop thinking they're upset is because of me. MC and I are friends now, they're okay with everything." Those words felt like a stab to the heart, you had never once told him any of those things and now he was putting words in your mouth.

You let out a quiet sigh, "Uhh.. Belphie, I never said that." With a frown on your face you looked your murderer right in the eyes and for once in awhile finally spoke your mind. "I really don't mean this in a bad way, it's just well, that day you really hurt me both mentally and physically. I still have nightmares about what you did, it's like I can't escape it.", once again the tension was back; this time even worse than before. Belphie scowled, "I thought you forgave me, I apologized." The others in the room stopped everything they were doing to listen in on the conversation, they gave it their full attention in fear that maybe Belphegor would attack you again. "Do you think it's easy to go through something like that?! The only reason you guy's accepted me was because I'm Lillith's descendant, I feel like you only treat me well is because you see me as her!" Due to your heavy frustration you unintentionally yelled, in the moment you were so overwhelmed that you didn't pay attention to it. A few of the brothers assured you that they didn't see you as Lillith, but instead your own person but that didn't ease your pain. "It hurt so much! I couldn't even scream for help, I only wanted to help you and you killed me! I saw my own dead body and almost none of you seemed to care!" Tears rolled down your cheeks, you knew you had the right to upset but it felt as if the brother's didn't think the same. "MC..", Beel looked at you with pity and guilt in his eyes, and so did the rest of the brother's. "We're sorry for not being better to you, we truly did treat you horribly." , you cut off Satan, "Shut up, I don't want your apologies! I just want to see genuine change, I want you guys to treat me kindly!" You sat up from your seat, you were conflicted if you wanted to walk away or continue with the conversation. "I've been treating you well ever since then!" Belphie began to argue back a bit more, his tone of voice changed and he too stood up from his seat. "Yeah because you found out I was Lillith's descendant! You strangled me, crushed my throat, and left me to choke to death on my own blood! I haven't healed from what you did to me, you asshole!"

"MC and Belphie, please calm down!" Lucifer attempted to de-escalate the situation but the two of you only shot him annoyed looks. "I'M mad too! I lost my sister—", "I didn't kill your god damn sister! Don't take your anger out on me, I wasn't even alive when she died!" He looked stunned, he knew it was true and also knew it was pointless to counter what you said. Beel grabbed onto Belphie's sleeve, saying his twin's name and trying to sit Belphegor back down. "All of you are vile! You guys have threatened me, attempted to kill me and even killed me! Don't just ignore what you guy's have done!" With your sleeve you wiped off the snot that was running from your nose, you felt like you were a little kid who had just lost something beloved, and in return wept and wept until you were a tear, snot, and drooling mess. Deep down you knew that the "beloved" you had lost was your trust and humanity. You had practically been revived, while you were still human you no longer felt like one. All of your trust in the brother's was gone, they skipped over the issue and acted like nothing happened.

"MC! I demand you head to your room right away, we'll discuss this tomorrow." In all honesty, you were tired. Tired of arguing and crying, you knew it was time to just give it a break and rest. Maybe once everything was solved you might feel a bit more at home in Devildom, you truly hoped that would be the case.

Hunter didn’t want to go.

“Why should I waste my time conversing with stupid children? I have more important things to be doing!” He insisted as Darius carefully laid out the outfit he had selected for him on his bed.

“Little prince, I hate to be the barrier of bad new but you are a ‘stupid children,’” Darius sighed as he inspected the suit for lint. “These are your peers.”

“No, they’re students,” griped Hunter, slouching in his chair. “All they do is gossip and read magazines or whatever. I have nothing in common with them.”

“You’ve never even spoken to witches your own age, how could you possibly know that?”

“Because I just do, okay?” He whined. “The Titan has big plans for me and I’m pretty sure they don’t involve drinking warm punch surrounded by tacky streamers a-and photo booths.”

“Look, I was a lot like you when I was your age,” began Darius “I too once thought I was above it all, and to be honest I was and still am, but I can’t deny the importance of attempting to socialize. The children at this event will be joining covens soon enough, and next year you’ll be taking Lillith’s place at Con con seeking out recruits for the Emperor. You don’t want to seem out of touch and embarrass the Emperor’s Coven, do you?”

“Of course not,” Hunter said, hanging his head.

“Good, now I’ll make you a deal: all you have to do is stay at the party for one hour and talk to at least one person and then you can leave.”

“What if there’s not anyone there worth talking to?”

“Well how can you hope to know if you don’t try?” Darius retorted smugly. “Now get changed, I won’t have the Golden Guard’s first social appearance be tarnished by you arriving in the same clothes you’ve been wearing all day.”

“What’s wrong with the clothes I wear?”

“Now that’s a conversation for a later time, we can’t have you being late.”

Willow REALLY didn’t want to go.

“You were invited sweetie, it would be rude not to go,” said Gilbert.

“But dad no one wants me there!” Willow insisted.

“Well then why would they invite you?” asked Harvey.

“They invite the whole school, but Gus can’t go this year and without him I’ll have no one to talk to!”

“Well, maybe you’ll meet a new student, have a fresh start,” offered Gilbert. “Besides, you look so wonderful in your new dress it would be a shame if no one got to see you in it.”

“And hiding never accomplished anything sweetpea,” added his husband. “Do you really want to start the new school year shut up in your room?”

“But dad-!”

“Tell you what honey, stay for one hour. If after an hour you’re not having even a little bit of fun, we’ll come pick you up and get eye-scream, no questions asked.”

“Okay, fine,” Willow sighed as she headed upstairs to start getting ready. “But I’m telling you, no one is gonna wanna talk to me.”

The Blight manor was a sight to behold. They held the lavish event every year; celebrating the start of the school year and allowing everyone at Hexside to share their summer stories and make sure they were in an established clique for the new semester. It was second only to Grom in popularity, but the Blights elected to use abominations in place of chaperones so in terms of drama it was second to none.

Every year there was a new theme, a tradition started by Ed and Em who used it as a chance to show off their unmatched ability to commit to a bit. Last year had been a black and white gala where they had arrived dressed as chess pieces (Emira the black nigh, Edric the white, and Amity the board) and the year before that the theme had simply been ‘glitter’ and the clean up for the glitter bombs the twins placed nearly everywhere was barely finished in time for the following party. Which brings us to this year’s theme: a masquerade ball.

Hunter appreciated the ability to leave his mask on without it bringing him too much attention. The outfit Darius had selected for him did help him blend in, black pants with a signature golden colored vest and matching tie from his personal collection. He wore one of his satin white shirts and a new pair of gloves, an addition a Hunter had insisted upon. Hunter had wanted a cape, but Darius had deemed it “overkill” and they had settled on a black suit jacket that he draped on his shoulders for the same effect. He lingered outside the door as long as he could, hoping to eat away at his time, but soon people starting asking him where to leave their coats and he retreated inside to find another place to hide. He walked around, picking up pieces of conversations to try and convince Darius he had made an effort to engage. But it was just as he expected: pointless gossip with nothing of value.

He watched as everyone else walked around trying to guess who was behind the mask and they revealed themselves with little hesitation. Hunter couldn’t help but feel it defeated the point of wearing a mask. He noticed though, that he was the only one who elected to cover the entirety of his face as the rest of the attendees donned masks that merely covered their eyes.

He stood at the punch bowl, relatively thirsty but then realized he would have to remove his mask to drink from the cup he had filled. He didn’t want to do that, he knew people were always trying to see his face and he wanted to keep his anonymity. So he just stood at the table and held his punch awkwardly, continuing counting down the hour.

“Oh, I wouldn’t drink that if I were you,” said a small voice suddenly from beside him. “One of the Blight twins usually spikes the punch by now.”

“They put spikes in it?!” He said, looking at the contents of the cup closer.

“No, no,” the girl laughed. “They usually put a truth potion in it when no ones looking to cause drama; everyone starts confessing to crushes or confronting people or admitting embarrassing secrets. One year they didn’t spike it but told everyone that they did, it was chaos.”

Hunter looked at the girl a bit closer, she wore a simple emerald green dress with puffy sleeves that hung off her shoulders and a skirt that fell just past her knees and poofed out with a light yellow petticoat underneath it. It complimented the light green of her eyes that shined even behind her mask which she had decorated with intricate vines and tiny yellow flowers. Her short black hair had a gentle curl to it and was pinned back by a yellow hair clip shaped like a flower. She was pretty, he would do no more than think and she was the only one to approach him... casually. He knew the rest of the party was abuzz with whispers about him, he was used to whispers, but now they made him feel even more out of place. No one stood near him too long or complimented the outfit Darius had selected or asked him how he was. It was clear he came alone and knew no one there, but no one sought to change that. He suspected one of the Blight children would see him off when the time came, for appearances, but no one could be convinced to sacrifice a whole evening to him.

But then, out of nowhere, she came and lingered at his side and made him feel included for a brief moment. And a Hunter didn’t hate it.

“So... you’ve been to a lot of these things then, huh?”

“Yeah I guess,” she sighed. “It’s kind of a tradition, but I usually end up leaving early ever since...”

“Ever since... what?”

“Well, uh I used to come with my friend and we would hang out and dance but then she... found better friends.”

“Well, it seems like her loss, not yours,” said Hunter, dumping his punch back into the bowl. “You don’t seem... entirely unpleasant.”

“Thank you?” Willow laughed. “Well, um I can leave you alone if you want. I’m sure you probably wanna get back to your friends.”

“Oh, uh, yeah,” he said. But some part of him didn’t want her to leave. “Well I would... but it’s my first time at one of these and my friends... aren’t here yet.”

“Oh, well maybe I can show you around until they get here,” offered Willow. “If you want.”

“I think...I’d like that,” said Hunter. “You wouldn’t happen to know where to get an unspikey beverage would you? My throat is a little dry.”

“I think I can arrange something,” she said. “But it might be hard for you to drink with that kind of mask. If you want, I can get you a more beverage friendly option.”

Willow made a circle with her finger to summon a golden flower into her hand, the petals wide and long each with a hole in the middle. She carefully folded the petals so the holes lined up and used a vine to make a strap and hold it all together as she presented it to him. “Here, try this.”

“Is that a wallflower?” he asked.

“What?”

“My... guardian said that I should avoid being a wallflower at a social event,” he said. “It’s a lovely flower but I’m just not familiar with it so I just wanted to make sure-.”

“Oh, no it’s not,” said Willow, understanding. “Uh, a wall flower is like a person who doesn’t really participate a party I guess. But personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being one.”

“Oh, I see,” he said as he took it, not fully understanding the definition but trusting her authority as she seemed like an expert in everything the term contained. He wasn’t used to receiving gifts without strings attached, and he looked at her face to see if there was a condition coming. But she just looked happy to help him. He quickly ducked down as he made the switch, noticing the pleasant smell her gift emitted and tucked his Golden Guard mask into the pocket of his coat. He rose to show her the updated feature. “Well, how does it look?”

“Hmm,” she said standing closer to see better. It was dim and a tad blurry but Willow couldn’t help but notice he had a very nice jawline. He smiled nervously at her closeness and she thought he had a charming smile, the gap in his teeth added a touch of character Willow found endearing. She noticed he seemed rathe taken back by her proximity and chuckled as she took a step back. “Sorry, I usually wear glasses but there wasn’t a good way to wear them with the mask so I’m a liiiittle blind.”

“Oh, well... you can wear my original mask if you want,” he said before he realized what he was saying. “It’s a little roomier and should let you wear your glasses with it. But it’s actually kind of hard to see out of normally and it might be kind of sweaty... sorry that’s probably weird.”

“That’s not weird,” she laughed. “That’s sweet of you to offer, thank you. I should be okay, I just might need a little help showing you to the kitchen since it’s kind of dark in here.”

“Well, I would be honored to be your guide,” he offered, offering his arm to her in a very noble manner.

“Sure, I mean if you’re sure...”

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well... you know how I said my friend got better friends?”

He did remember and he didn’t believe her. “Yeah?”

“Well, this is her party,” admitted Willow. “Ever since we... grew apart, my status at school hasn’t been the best. I’m only here because my dads made me come. I usually don’t walk around too much or do anything to draw attention to myself. If you’re looking to avoid wallflowers, I’m kind of the textbook definition. If people saw you hanging out with me it would ruin your reputation at Hexside before it even started.”

“Well... everyone is wearing masks, how could they even tell it’s you?”

“That’s... actually a really good point,” she said with a smile as she took his arm. “Okay then, why not?”

She guided him to the kitchen and they snuck him a glass of water, the staff paying them no mind as they worked on replenishing the plates. Refreshed, Hunter allowed the girl to lead him around the vast room and Hunter narrated everything he saw to Willow who did her best to explain the meaning.

“... and now there’s a few people in the middle of the room dancing but they’re not on beat at all,” he said, his tone flat as though he was doing his normal status report. “The song is upbeat but they’re dancing fairly slow? It’s... weird.”

“Oh, they do that every year,” laughed Willow. “They’re on the bard track and Amity never lets the band play their requests so that’s their way of like protesting I guess. It’s nice though, it makes me feel less self conscious about my own dancing.”

“Oh, uh... did you wanna dance?”

“Oh, no!” laughed Willow. “I just meant like, if I did. Nothing draws more attention than dancing by yourself.”

“But you’re not by yourself.”

“Oh, yeah,” said Willow, shyly. “Would you... wanna dance with me?”

Hunter wasn’t sure if she was asking him or if she was asking him if he was asking but regardless, as he looked around the room it was clear that dancing was one of the events social norms. In his report to Darius, surely having a detailed first hand account of dancing would convince him he had competed the evening successfully. And it didn’t seem all that hard.

“Sure,” he said, knowing little about dancing except that it required music. The song changed to a slower song and the rebel bards adjusted accordingly, jumping wildly now as everyone else had been doing prior. Hunter looked around and saw the majority seemed to be doing what he assumed to be the appropriate motions to the song and finding a partner to sway with. It hardly seemed like ‘dancing’ and more like ‘barely moving’ but who was he to argue? “I mean, we don’t want to be wallflowers do we? Am I using that word right?”

“Yeah,” she giggled.

“So um... is this okay?” Hunter asked as he placed his hand on the girl’s waist as the taller person seemed to be doing in all the pairs that surrounded him.

“Oh, uh yeah,” she said as she stepped closer so he could place his other hand to her side as well. She hesitated for a moment and then brought her arms up towards his neck, hovering for a second before she rested them on his chest. “Is this okay?”

“Uh, yeah sure,” he said trying to sound casual and confident when for some reason he felt dizzy. He didn’t know where to look. He felt looking away would be rude but looking into her eyes seemed... scary but in a good way and he didn’t know why exactly. She looked down at their feet, as though she was concentrating and Hunter took the opportunity to look at her. He wondered how so many people here could think so little of her when she was so witty and wonderful. True, perhaps she was on her best behavior seeing as she was with the Golden Guard, but apart of him hoped his status would rub off on her just a little and people would think twice before treating her unkindly.

“This is nice,” she said quietly after awhile.

“Yeah, I guess it is.”

“Ya know, I really didn’t wanna come tonight but I’m actually having a really nice time with you.”

“Uh, yeah me too.” Hunter said, surprised that he meant it. She was nice to talk to and even the silences with her seemed filed with... something.

“Sorry I’ve been hogging you all night,” she said sheepishly. “I’m sure your friends must be here by now and are wondering where you are.”

“Oh, that’s okay,” he said, almost forgetting it was a part of his cover story. “I think I’d rather spend the rest of the night with you anyway.”

“Oh,” said Willow praying her face wasn’t as red as it felt. “I’d like that too. I guess this night wasn’t a total waste after all.”

“Actually, would you maybe... wanna see each other again?”

“What?”

“Uh never mind it’s stupid,” Hunter quickly sputtered, averting his eyes to the ground in embarrassment. “I mean I’m busy and you’re probably busy too and it’s not like-.”

“Wait, hey!” she said, placing her hand on his cheek to turn his eyes back to her. “I didn’t mean ‘no,’ I just didn’t hear what you said. It’s kinda loud in here.”

“Oh, yeah you’re right,” he said, breathing a little easier. “Here, why don’t we go outside?”

Willow instinctively grabbed back onto his arm as Hunter lead her onto the balcony. The music faded behind them but could still be faintly heard as it mixed with the gentle sound of the wind blowing.

“Ah, much better,” sighed Willow as she rested her elbows on the ledge, squinting at the night sky. As blurry as it was, she could tell it was a beautiful night and the sky was full of stars.

Hunter also thought it was a beautiful night, but for different reasons.

“So how’re you liking your first Blight Bash?” Willow asked brightly.

“Ew, is that seriously what they call it?” He asked.

“Yeah, but I think their energy goes more into the theme than the name,” she laughed. “I swear, it gets bigger and fancier every year. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Emperor himself shows up to one eventually. I mean, I heard the Golden Guard was supposed to come this year.” Hunter turned to her, rightfully surprised thinking that she was must joking or doing a bit. But no, she truthfully had no idea she had spent the whole night with the Golden Guard. How? She had seen his mask when he-

But she hadn’t seen his mask. Because she couldn’t see anything without her glasses. He was a blur to her, not a member of the Emperor’s coven or an authority figure, but a blur of a boy who she thought was new to her school. She wasn’t treating him nicely out of fear or respect for his status, she was testing him nicely because she was nice.

“Oh wow,” said Hunter, trying to not to show his reaction in his voice. “Is that so? That would be... good?” How did she feel about the idea?

“I’m sure Mrs. Blight would love the photo op,” she said with a light chuckle. “And I bet everybody would wanna dance with him.”

She’d lose that bet. “And why is that?”

“Well, I dunno, he’s kind of a like a prince isn’t he?” Said Willow, rocking on her heels. “It would be kinda like a fairy tale, I bet he’s very polite and he’d probably get overwhelmed with all the dance requests.”

“You don’t think he’s... scary?”

“Well, I’ve never met him but I think he’s probably more mysterious than scary,” she said. “This would be the perfect theme for him though, because between you and me I don’t think he wears the mask because he’s unattractive if ya now what I mean.” Willow grinned, nudging his ribs with her elbow.

Hunter wished he was wearing his full mask as he could feel his face getting warm in response to the indirect compliment. Thank the Titan she couldn’t see him very well. “I, uh, think I do. Ha.”!

“I bet he’d probably be working thought huh? He probably wouldn’t get a chance to have much fun being on the clock.”

“Well, I don’t know about that,” said Hunter as he watched her look out at the night sky, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. “I didn’t think I was gonna have fun and then I met you. Stranger things have happened.”

“Thanks,” she said with a smile, enjoying his company as well. But Willow had learned the hard way how fleeting friendship could be. “Hey, um, it’s okay if you don’t talk to me when school starts, by the way. I mean, like I would understand. No hard feelings or anything.”

“Why wouldn’t I talk to you? I like talking to you.” Hunter said. “I’ll even drink the spikey punch and say it again if you don’t believe me.”

“Well it’s just... I know how hard it can be, trying to fit in.” Willow said. “And you’re really nice and cool and I would hate if I was the reason people didn’t see that.”

“Well if they can’t see those things in you then there’s no way they could see them in me,” he said so softly she almost didn’t hear it. But she did. “And frankly, I wouldn’t give much value to the opinion of people who get fooled into drinking contaminated punch every year.”

“You’re funny.” She said with an airy laugh that made Hunter’s chest feel tight.

“Me?” he asked, certain he had misheard her.

“Yeah,” she said with a sigh and Hunter thought she was going to add ‘looking’ at the end as Kikimora often did, but she didn’t. Hunter wondered what she would think of how he looked. He wondered why he cared.

“So, what do you like to-.”

He was interrupted by a sound from her pocket. She looked down as saw it was her scroll receiving a call. “Oh, sorry it’s my dads,” she said, realizing it had been an hour and they were calling to check on her. “I think they’re here to pick me up. Let me see what’s up, I’ll be right back.”

As she stepped away to have some privacy, Hunter realized his hour was up as well and saw Darius approaching below to pick him up. He didn’t want to draw attention to himself but he also didn’t know how to say goodbye to her. He knew he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to say that he actually wouldn’t see her at school and he didn’t know how to say why. He didn’t want to lie again or possibly embarrass her with the truth. He didn’t want to see her peridot eyes lose their light so did the only thing he could think to do and teleported away.

“So they’re on their way to come get me and we’re going out for eye scream and they said you could come if you wanted to, no pressure it could be fun, but it’s so funny when I told them about you I realized I never asked you your-.” Willow returned back to their spot, placing her scroll back in her pocket and looked up to find her escort had vanished. “-name.”

On the railing, he had left the flower mask she had crafted him, carefully balanced so she would find it and it would not fall.

“So did you have an absolutely horrid time, little prince?” Darius asked with candor as he met Hunter outside, boarding him into the ship.

“It actually wasn’t that bad,” Hunter said faintly as he passed him.

Darius blinked, genuinely surprised by Hunter’s lack of sarcasm. “So, did you meet anyone worthy of your time?”

“I think... I did.” He said, looking down into his hand as delicately held the small yellow flower that he had picked off the ground as he left. It had fallen from her hair at some point and Hunter had picked it up, knowing that returning it to her would the perfect excuse to see her again. A part of him secretly hoped she had dropped in on purpose.

“And what’s that you have there?”

“Um it’s nothing,” he said, quickly putting the trinket in his pocket. “It’s just uh, a flower that I found that I wanted to hold onto.”

FINALLY INTRODUCE LILLITH

<start in the café>

  “Anything else I can get for you all?” June the manager asked.

  “That’s all, mom,” Hans smiled. “Thank you.”

  June kissed her son on the top of the head. “Let me know if you need anything else <3”

  Hans brought the drink tray to the table, strategically placing the cups down without spilling anything.

  “Teach me your ways, oh magic waiter man,” Joey joked.

  “I’m not that good,” Hans laughed. “I help my mom out sometimes, though. It takes a lot of practice not to spill boiling hot coffee on your patron’s lap.”

  “You’d certainly get a tip from me,” Val said confidently.

  “I’m flattered.”

  “Boo! Quit flirting!” Kim teased.

  Hans sat down next to Val. The five were at one of the booth tables in the back; Ivan sat by the window, Kim sat beside him, Val had his boots propped up on Hans’ lap and Joey sat across from them.

  “Alright, so let’s get to it,” Joey said. “Who’s starting off?”

  “I can,” Kim said sweetly, taking a drink of her coffee. “So, as you all probably know by now, my family and I are witches from the York family. I mostly work with herbal draughts rather than spells, but I can do both efficiently. I’ve had to teleport these idiots out of a few situations before.” <add info card: Kimberely York, advanced herbal witch>

  Kim looked at Val. The vampire looked confused. “What, we going in a circle? Alright, guess I’m next. I’m a vampire, which means I, unfortunately, can’t live without orally ingesting blood, but I’ve never drunk from an actual person before because… However, peaches and some pears do tend to tide over my hunger for reasonable amounts of time. I can’t walk in the sunlight, touch holy objects, or eat garlic. That, and I have to be invited into a house before entering, which is a drag. It’s also really hard to do my hair in the mornings.” <add info card: Valentine Cross, vampire>

  “Wait, Val, how old are you?” Kim asked.

  “Sixteen, seventeen in May, why?”

  “You don’t look much younger than that.”

  “I’ve only been a vampire about two years if that’s what you’re wondering.”

  Joey exhaled an exasperated whistle.

  “Guess that’s me,” Hans sat up. “My family and I are what you’d call rougarous. It’s a type of lycanthrope subspecies originating in New Orleans. There are some similarities to werewolves, but the “condition” is transmitted genetically instead of by bite. Werewolves, like my dad, only have the two forms, man and wolf-beast, while my mom’s side has a third option: straight-up dog.”

  “That’s so cool,” Ivan said. “So, are the ears and tail just a lycan thing?”

  “Nah, certain lycanthropes have their unique defining features. It’s harder to spot a werewolf since they appear entirely human. Oh- one downside though is the full moon thing. That’s something all lycanthropes have in common. The three nights of the full moon, we change, but we have better control than werewolves on any other day.” <add info card: Hans Murphy, loup-garou>

  Joey leaned back. “Alright, my turn. I mentioned it earlier today, but I’m a cat four. Both of my parents are category ones; my dad had the weird eye thing and my mom had octopus tentacles. The other things I got from my mom were her last name and her immunity to toxins. Any poison I ingest is sent straight to the tentacles, which I can later use against anyone I want.” <add info card: Joey-Simon Rohellec, category four mutant>

  “Is that why you smoke?” Kim asked. “For the nicotine poison?”

  “Nah, I smoke because I hate my dad. It is useful, though. With the number of packs I go through, I could probably give someone some pretty severe lung cancer. Okay, Ivan, it’s your turn.”

  Ivan sighed uneasily. “Okay. Well, I’m just a category one. No one else in my family ever had any traces of mutation, which makes my case pretty strange. I have some physical attributes of a snake, like my face, obviously. I’m not really comfortable sharing a lot of this with just anyone, so this conversation doesn’t leave this table, okay?” <add info card: Ivan Peters, category one snake mutant>

  The four nodded. Ivan sighed again.

  “Aside from my face, I have scutes on my chest and stomach, and I can unhinge my jaw.”

  “Wait, I’ve never seen you unhinge your jaw before,” Kim said curiously. “Do you mind showing us?”

  “Alright, but I can’t do it too often, it makes my jaw sore.”

  Ivan, with some difficulty, popped his lower jaw out of place. The action looked uncomfortable and awkward, but intriguing. When his mouth was fully open, so was Kim’s. Her jaw was entirely slack with amazement. Not only was Ivan’s jaw unhinged, but the inside of his mouth had morphed as well. Two needle-like fangs had sprouted from the roof of his mouth behind his first row of teeth, his tongue thinned and a glottis formed behind it. 

  “That is amazing,” Kim gasped. “Does this mean you’re venomous? Since you have the fangs?”

  “I don’t know,” Ivan said as he pushed his jaw back into place with his hands. “I’ve never bitten anyone, so.”

  Kim stared in awe. “You continue to fascinate me.”

  The café doorbell rang. Ivan’s stomach dropped when he saw who walked in; it was Garroth. And…the cat-eared girl from PE?

  “Garroth,” Val grimaced. “What are you doing here?”

  “What,” Garroth grinned slyly. “A guy can’t get a hot drink after school?”

  “Valentine!” The cat girl grinned, running up to the table. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”

  “Hi, Lilli…” Val turned his eyes away, taking his boots off Hans’ lap.

  “Wait, Lilli?” Ivan turned to Val. “That’s who you’re paired with?”

  Val nodded.

  “Oh, who’s this милашка?” Lilli eyed Ivan. “You’ve got some cute friends, Val.” She turned to Kim. “Cute hat, Пинка.”

  “Can someone please explain what’s going on?” Joey leaned away from Lilli.

  “Guys, this is Lillith, my old friend from… well, a long time ago.”

  “Oh, come on, Valentine,” Lillith leaned onto the table, her grin dropping briefly. “We’re still friends, aren’t we?”

  Garroth joined Lillith with two drinks. “Lilli, I understand you want to flirt with Cross, but we’re only here to get our coffee.”

  Joey scowled. “I’m not a squid.”

  “Now, come on, Lilli. We’ve got places to go.”

  Lillith pouted jokingly. “Aw, but I wanted to meet Valentine’s new friends.”

  “You can meet them later.” Garroth gritted his teeth. “Come. On.”

  “Hmph. До свидания, Valentine.”

  The two left with their drinks. Ivan shuddered.

  Thunder rumbled in the distance.

bonus comic: talk about mutant categories

Happy New Year! Fenn here to explain some things.

Earlier in episode 12, Joey mentions he is a “cat four,” and then again when he fully introduces himself in episode 13, stating both his parents were “category ones.” Ivan also mentions he is a category one. While these may not currently make sense, they will in a moment.

The supernatural are classified in three groups. Monsters, Mutants, and Magics; the three “M”s, if you will. Mutants specifically are separated into five categories.

-Category one mutants, like Ivan and Joey’s parents, are considered “basic” mutants. This means they only have one form of mutation that typically alters their appearance. In Ivan’s case, he has physical features resembling a snake such as his face, and scales or scutes on his torso. Joey’s dad, Dan, has multiple eyes covering his body, mostly his face. They can’t do much else aside from what their physical features allow them to do (like Ivan unhinging his jaw).

-Category two mutants are known as “hybrids,” and are most often anthropomorphic. An example of this could be my best friend’s cameo, the rat (seen in Graves’ class). Their mutation also alters their appearance, but instead of being mostly human with certain differences, their entire body resembled a completely different creature.

-Category three mutants are not very different from cat two mutants, but instead of resembling one creature, they have a combination of different mutations. For this reason, they are called “chimera hybrid” mutants. Usually, these mutants are the product of a category one mutant and a category two mutant having a child. In these cases, the chimera will have traits from both parents. Again, their abilities don’t reach much farther than their physical attributes. My best example of a chimera would be the other cameo character from Graves’ class, Sy, my sister’s best friend.

-Category four. Joey, Beverly, and Graves all fall under this category, which is known as “combination” mutants. They are essentially “advanced” cat one mutants, and have two or more basic/cat one mutations. These multiple traits, similar to chimeras, often come from the two parents, which are typically two category one mutants (in this specific case). Joey permanently has four eyes, and can bring out up to eight tentacles from anywhere on his torso. Beverly, on the other hand, can bring out four extra eyes in addition to her usual two, giving her ten eyes in total, while she has a single tail-like appendage with another eye on the end. They got the eye mutation from their father, and the tail/tentacle mutation from their mother. This may sound almost exactly like a category three, however, category four mutants usually have some form of additional power that comes with their combination mutation, which is what classifies them as a four instead of a three. In Graves’ case, he not only has the cat one horns, but also the ability to teleport at will, therefore he is a cat four.

-Category five mutants are the rarest kind of mutation. These are known as “abnormalities,” as all cat five mutants are born human. They can develop their mutation at any age after two years old, and tend to not only mutate but advance rapidly, developing abilities completely unique to their class. There is one character that falls under this classification, but I’ll save that information for a later episode. A separate example of a character would be the third cameo character, Cas the angel (which is not a spn reference [not on purpose anyway]). Hattie, another character from Graves’ class, is also a category five, and possesses the ability to control the weather.

(bc of his pisces rising!! honestly not surprised that hes a pisces rising bc he has a v piscean/water sign face/look) sexually hes actually rly more likely to be more into unconventional things, i think. in sex i dont THINK he has a chance of being submissive, if at all. he’s dominant for sure, but not in the way johnny or yuta are. jaehyun idealizes sexuality and love, but hes actually rly rly passionate. i def think hes into your basic rougher kinks: choking, biting, scratching, etc. probably enjoys a bit of slapping, maybe degradation too. could probably into pet play. Ok I want to talk about this because first of all, I wasn't even going to watch Dana Terrace's live stream because I don't have the patience or attention span to watch super long things

But my sister watched it and she told me all the best parts to watch in the recording on YouTube, and one of those was Lillith's letter to Hooty

And when Lillith said she wasn't interested in whoever was sending her flowers spiders, I really thought she was just going to talk about how she was overwhelmed and not looking for a relationship

I did NOT expect her to be aroace

The moment she said "I don't think I ever have been", it's like I was smacked in the face with such joy that I cannot even describe

I still cannot believe that happened

WHAT????

To think that kids' media has such little representation that I am convinced this is some kind of cruel dream

I hope there is some nod to this in the show as well, but this alone is really cool

I'd also like to add that I specifically tagged Dana Terrace on Twitter and asked her for an aspec character (back in December 2020) so I like to think I manifested this.

Lillith was a great choice for this because of many reasons 1. She is an adult, so people can't claim that she's too young to have feelings for people 2. She isn't a cold emotionless character who hates everyone 3. She still has important relationships with people, like her sister and Hooty 4. My eyes fly open, lungs burning as I take a deep breath. I carefully sit up and look around; everything is dark, but I can still see. The last thing I remember is saying goodbye to Dean, facing the empty knowing that I would die. How am I awake? I shouldn't be.

"Hello, Y/N." I hear behind me. I stand quickly as I turn around to find Ruby.

"Ruby, what is going on? I don't understand."

"They did it Y/N. They stopped Chuck. Jack is now God it's over Y/N. Jack is looking for you wants to take you back home. Take you to Heaven."

"Why should I believe you. You're a demon. Demons lie; everyone knows that." I say as I take a step back from her as she takes a step closer to me.

"I'm human now, Y/N, I swear to you. But, before you go, I wanted to tell you, something sweetheart. As a demon, I did many things that I am not proud of. But having you was never one of them." As Ruby is taking, she once more steps closer to me, coming to stand right in front of me, rising to cup the side of my face.

"I got pregnant when I was tricking Sam into killing Lillith Sam, and I had been.... Well, I got pregnant. I have never once regretted that. I felt human again. I was as happy as I could be Y/N. I did what I could, but I knew I only had one end. I knew Sam or Dean was going to kill me. So I just hoped that they would take you in. Take care of you; look at how beautiful you turned out. I am so proud of you."

"Your, my Mom. I never knew." I never knew who my parents were. Sam and Dean said that they found me abandoned and couldn't leave me. Cas was the one that told them that I was part Demon. But, they didn't kill me as they couldn't look at me and see a monster they had hoped that raising me could keep me from going dark.

I grew faster than average seemed that I aged a year every month. But, my life was not all sunshine and rainbows; it appeared the boys never trusted me. They always watched me make sure that I wasn't going full Demon. I knew that they loved me, but they never said it. The closes it ever came was them telling me I was a Winchester.

"Mom?" I don't know what causes me to, but I step forward and wrap my arms around her. Burring my head in her neck, I start to cry. It takes a moment, but I feel her arms wrap around me too. It could be a lift time we stand wrapped up in each other arms before we step back from each other.

"We don't have much time left, Y/N. This is not where you are meant to be. Heaven is waiting, but when you get there and find Sam and Dean. Tell Sam about this. Tell Sam that he is your Dad and tell him I'm sorry for everything that I did."

"Mom. No, you have to...." I don't finish because I know she is gone, and Cas stands in front of me. "Cas, please bring her back. I need to. I have so many things I need to ask her. She's my Mom Cas."

"It's time to go Y/N. It's time to go home. People are waiting for you." Cas reaches out, waiting for me to take his hand. I know that it is time to go. I can only hope that someday I will see Mom again, so I have the chance to ask her everything. A chance to get to know her as a human and not the Demon that I was told she was.

I can now feel a breeze blow across my face with a blinding flash tossing my hair around my shoulders. I don't have to be told I know I am in Heaven. I feel a peace that I never knew before, a calmness that I never had while alive. I turn to see if Cas is standing behind me, only to find him gone. Not knowing what else to do, I start walking down the road.

Trees on both sides of me, the road shaded and cool. I can't help but smile as I look up at the sky. Everything is perfect here. It will be even better when Sam and Dean get here. Coming around the curve of the road, I can seep baby sitting up on the bridge. Breaking out into a run, I get to the bridge just in time to see Dean pull Sam into a hug.

"Dean, Sam!" I yell out to them, causing them to break apart and turn to me. I can see them both break out in a smile as I slow down and come to a stop in front of me.

"Y/N," Sam says before wrapping me up in his arms and lifting me off the ground. "How in Jacks's name did you get here?" He says while spinning me around.

"Cas. I was in the Empty talking to Ruby and the next thing I knew, Cas was there telling me it was time to come home."

"Ruby? Why were you talking to Ruby?" Dean says from where he is standing.

"She had something she had to tell me. She's my Mom. She was nothing like you both told me. She was kind. She was human. But she did tell me something else. Not only did I find out that she was my Mom, she told me you were my Dad Sam." I tell the both of them, not looking at them, keeping my eyes on the ground, not wanting to see the looks in their eyes. Afraid of what they might think of me now that I told them.

"She's telling the truth, Sam." I hear Cas say from where he is standing behind Dean. I look up to find Sam standing there with his mouth hanging open. Dean was not looking much better with his mouth on the floor. Before I can blink, I am once more wrapped up in Sams arms; Dean is also hugging me. I can feel Sams tears dropping onto the top of my head. I know we have a lot to talk about, but we have all the time we could want. This is Heaven, after all.

When MC arrives in Devildom, no one is expecting two human to arrive at once, one of them in particular. A baby.

Satan

Satan does not have the patience with kids

However he’s done his homework over the years and has a pretty good idea of what to do

He isn’t expecting the baby to glare at him though

He’s secretly a little hurt but refuses to admit it

Oh well it’s just a baby

This is an excuse to not have to interact with it though,

Diavolo was disappointed as he wanted the baby to “get along” with demons like it did with humans

The baby is cute though and Satan discovered this thought late at night when he discovered that the baby had escaped MC’s room and had gone to the common room

The baby was sleeping on the couch and Satan wouldn’t mind if only the baby MOVED AWAY FROM HIS BOOK

Babies are supposed to be heavy sleepers right?

Well Satan certainly hopes

Satan’s heart nearly stopped when the baby let out an ear piercing scream the SECOND Satan got within the 5 meter radius

Nobody was too thrilled at Satan,

Yeah no, Asmo is not good with children

Poor Beel

He really tries to be good and make friends

Today is not his day,

His soul crushed the second the baby cried because of him

He almost started CRYING

Everyone feels bad, the baby is not getting away from this, even MC has tried to coax the baby into liking him, doesnt work

Beel fell into a depression, he either eats more than usual or nothing at all,

Lucifer is worried, Belphie is worried, everyone is worried.

Barbatos and Luke are asked to make the best dessert they can to cheer Beel up,

Nothing helps, until one day, the baby finds Beel in the kitchen just staring at the fridge,

When Beel sees the baby, his face falls even more and he makes a move to get up and leave

Until he feels a tug on his pants, the baby had latched with onto Beel

Poor Beel didn’t know WHAT to do, so he panicked

The baby actually giggled at panicking Beel before pointing at the fridge

Turns out, then baby just wanted a midnight snack and ended up finding Beel

They have common ground now which ultimately helps their relationship.

The brothers and MC find baby and Beel lying on the door asleep in the morning

Nobody can stay mad at Beel for long

Belphie is kinda sad, everyone else seems to be having so much fun and Belphie just wants to have fun too

But now that this baby is a descendant of Lillith, it’s hurts knowing that this is his family who hates him.

Very distant but still family.

Belphie isn’t that close to his brothers anyway, other than Beel but he has his moments

But the baby glares death into Belphies eyes whenever they meet.

Kinda understandable.

Although Belphie tries to make amends and fix what he did, nothing helps

That irritates him and drives him into a more cold behaviour,

Almost like a stand off between him and the baby, the tension is HORRIBLE

MC actually tries their best to fix it but nothing works

Eventually this hostile behaviour ends but nothing is really fixed between the two

They just don’t care for each other

Why did anyone have to “raise” Satan? I thought he was part of Lucifer before, he lived through Lucifer like a spectator, feeling Lucifer’s emotions, seeing through his eyes, but didn’t quite have his own body or personality. He grew a hatred for Lucifer after he manifested during the fall because he doesn’t want to be “Lucifer’s clone” or “Lucifer’s alter ego.” Satan just wants to be seen as his own person. That’s probably the main reason he hated Lucifer, because he used to be part of him and Satan just wants to break apart from that and be his own person.

Thats part of the problem though, he can’t. Before meeting MC he admitted that he was a manifestation of pure wrath. Beyond that, he was empty. He felt nothing but anger (which he learned to hide.) He felt inferior to Lucifer because he was incapable of feeling anything else. (After meeting MC he says they taught him to feel more than wrath, like love and such.)

After he manifested I believe that the brothers didn’t feel he needed to be raised, which is why he wasn’t ever properly taught emotions. The brothers were all probably still coping with Lillith and the fall, so I doubt they had much time to raise him anyway.

Satan figured the only way to differentiate himself with Lucifer is with knowledge from books because that’s all he had that Lucifer didn’t.

Sorry for the rant, just want to share my thoughts on Satan

Nah it's fair since I ended up going on a ranty discussion of my own with this (aka I once again talk about Satan a lot)

You kind of answered your own question as to why Satan needed to be 'raised.' He was a manifestation of pure wrath and nothing else when he was first created. What does pure wrath care about the rules of society? Of order? Or staying subservient to a ruler and keeping oneself in line for sake of reputation? Think of what pure wrath makes a human do and amplify that a hundred fold with the wrath of a fallen, betrayed angel, angered and outraged to the point of ejecting that wrath out of his body

(Also the fact that the brothers themselves said they helped raise him? Like I'm all for headcanons about Satan that make his existence ~angstier~ but if they literally just let him 'fend for himself' after his birth I doubt he'd even consider them brothers because anger makes you spiteful, it makes you hold grudges; now that I think about it, considering that Satan hates owing favors, him being one of the most responsible and reliable brothers probably began as him repaying them for teaching him shit back when he was just Wrath Incarnate and nothing more)

And yes, he was a part of Lucifer and saw the world through his eyes. But he barely remembers any of it, as per his own words. He couldn't even remember what the Celestial Realm looked like or what his brothers were like as angels. He couldn't even remember what Lucifer was like so it must've been like started from almost zero, except he's aware that it's not supposed to be zero. He's aware it's not supposed to be zero but that it should be, yet his head has him aching for memories that aren't his to be nostalgic about. He exists in his own body yet his own body was walking there in front of him. And he is so, so angry, so fucking angry, all he wants to do is kill maim destroy hurt torture lash out kill destroy--

Also just... much like how everyone else most likely needed to learn how to cope with their insatiable Sins, they likely had to help Satan figure out how to cope with his Sin... which was his entire existence at that point so unlike the rest of them who had vivid memory and clear experiences of being angels to pull from as basis for functioning, Satan kind of didn't thanks to the above?

Going off of everything I can recall from canon, his sense of inferiority doesn't just stem from feeling nothing but anger for all his existence until MC came along. It also stems from Lucifer making him feel that way. During his arc it's implied that he feels inferior because

- Despite having come from Lucifer, ranked eldest and most powerful among the 7 of them, he's only at 4th

- Lucifer tended to ignore and distrust him (valid considering Satan's hatred of him but)

- ^Above leads to a cycle of frustration because Satan's fucking itching for a chance to prove his value

And re: MC teaching him how to love... Idk this one can be headcanon'd however you want but my understanding is that now that his isn't fully consumed by his hatred for Lucifer and his own hatred from himself has calmed down somewhat as he's learned to accept himself just a bit more, he has room to finally experience other emotions beyond anger and hatred? Because he definitely knows how to fake it and it's not like there isn't any love and care between his brothers (because romantic love is Not the only kind of love that we're giving importance to here) so I think all that was missing is his capacity to actually feel it himself?

This tho:

He grew a hatred for Lucifer after he manifested during the fall because he doesn’t want to be “Lucifer’s clone” or “Lucifer’s alter ego.” Satan just wants to be seen as his own person. That’s probably the main reason he hated Lucifer, because he used to be part of him and Satan just wants to break apart from that and be his own person.

Honestly yeah agree but there's definitely more to it than just leaving it at that. Which like, headcanon, imagination, extrapolating from canon material can fill in because why is it so awful to him to be considered Lucifer's alter ego when some would consider it an honor/compliment? Why is it so so so painfully important to him that he be his own person? Why is it that despite all the grief that Lucifer's cause him, the person that he hates the most is himself? What pushed him to choose to stitch together a gentlemanly persona out of the countless books he's read? And considering that he's the only one of them who's never been an angel and the only one born purely from his sin, what motivates him to want to keep his anger at bay despite how he could probably indulge it in more than he does and get away with it?

There's probably more thought-provoking questions and points people can think of about Satan but this is all I have skdfhksj I've almost been awake for a full 24 hours

It always confused me as to why Levin was constantly compared to Garroth. Like I get that he's blond and blue eyed but that doesn't mean he looks like Garroth? but that was always the comparison that he had a striking resemblance to him (as the characters kept pointing it out). Garroth and Levin aren't even related so it'd have to be a big coincidence for them to share that many physical traits beyond just hair color and eyes (which aren't even the same shade).

I can see why people compared them, because their skins did look pretty similar, especially when Levin is actually grown up in S2. But I mean realistically, the only things they shared were hair and eye color. In a minecraft skin where like literally everyone has the same hairstyle and not enough pixels to differentiate two faces. 

(I saw a theory about this a while ago that Levin was actually Matilda and Garroth’s kid and that’s why they look alike, and Garroth doesn’t remember Levin because of the whole “villagers losing sentience” thing. And ngl I really don’t like it. I think it’s very out-of-character for both Garroth and Matilda, and also I could never think of this being relevant or useful information. Also, the whole villagers losing sentience thing was kinda scrapped later, so it feels weird to have something so important that relies on that still being relevant to make sense. If it WAS true, it contributes nothing to the story, and if it WAS true, it would never come up in the story since the only two people who would know this either don’t remember or are dead. So overall it’s just....... weird and unnecessary. No hate if u like it it’s just not for me.)

My best guess as to WHY Jess pushed it so much is for Garmau bait. She has this thing about giving characters who she wants to ship together a child that resembles them (she did it for Aaron too with Alina/partially with Lillith, and for Laurance with Malachi.), and Garmau was pushed really hard in early S1 MCD. do u remember when garroth literally tried to give aph a ring in a chest I do it was fucking hilarious anyways.

soooo after tussling around in my bed for a good hour i've decided i should just ask you this but since all the sires of sins have morphed into grotesque beings after their respective falls do we or lillith also have one such form? and also on a side note do we have our demonic armour set and wings tucked away somewhere for when we enter battle mode and if we do plz plz say we'll be able to customize them like how the armour looks and our wings(feathry,leathery etc)......and also even if you won't be able to incorporate so much customizaton which mind you im no expert in choice script but i still understand must be a headache to code plz know that we still ADORE ur wips u wonderful human being here have a forehead kiss *mwahh*

2. no. Lucifer is an Archangel- they do have sort of a default appearance, but I’ve decided to leave it to your imagination. The way they looked like in the 1st chapter was only an attempt to look human without looking human (as in everyone knows there’s a difference between Lucifer and the humans). Lilith is only an exception bc she’s bound to them

customization is no problem! Lucifer still has their wings, although not in the same glorious form they once were. They are actually feathery, but I mean you can changed that as well. As for armour, I can deffo add some options, but beware that I have no idea what I’m doing. (the only references I have are those from TES lol).

HEY! I was cruisin through your page and saw that post you made about JDM and wondering what John and Dean would be like if John had lived, and now it's just stuck in my mind what kind of chaos that would be. Like imagine if Dean still sold his soul for Sam, went to hell, Cas pulls him out, but John is still alive? How would blood junkie Sam play out? And imagine John and Dean trying to fall back into a relationship post hell? So many factors I can't even deal with it all. I can't kick the idea.

so i admit to being hung up on how john would still be alive, unless maybe in this verse john gets a year like dean? so like on top of the s2 stressors of sam's visions and abilities, there's also the ticking clock on john a la dean's ticking clock in s3. and honestly this begs other questions i haven't answered previously, like what are john and dean like relationship-wise after john goes on his hunting trip and dean feels compelled to go get sam.

i personally feel like there isn't enough time, like literally logistically, for dean and john to do much more than pine and be petty when they reconnect at the end of s1, and so i do wonder if once john makes a deal for dean's life (which im just gonna stick with in this thought experiment) and everyone is still alive, THAT'S when dean and john finally have a minute to awkwardly and bitterly and emotionally have their first conversation. i won't get into what i think that looks like now, bc you're asking about stuff further down the timeline, but like, for my own records lol, i want it known i think this is how the rekindling starts.

i think re: dean selling his soul for sam, even more interesting to me is john's reaction to that fact. john who has only days left before his deal is coming due, only days left to kill yellow eyes and break the contract, suddenly dealing with a) the death of his youngest son and b) the sacrifice of his oldest one (who he's also in an obsessive, consuming relationship with) like, the incredible blow out fight that dean and john would have (nowhere near as heartfelt, maybe is the word, as the one bobby has with dean in canon) but just the first real screaming match. john raging about how on earth dean could think this was the right choice, dean screaming I DID WHAT YOU DID. SAM IS WORTH IT. ughghghghghghghgh. and then they do manage to kill YED and get john out of his deal, and then once again things have to be dealt with.

god thinking about season 3 with john in the mix is making me want to...eat glass, get drunk, do cartwheels, like im losing it. bc if we think about the sam and dean dynamic of three, sam's terrible grief, the stressors of the demons let loose at the end of s2, worrying about lillith, plus dean spiralling, drinking, fucking, not caring. and then i imagine JOHN FUCKING WINCHESTER in the middle of this, in the middle of sam trying to save the most important person in his life and dean trying to deal with the fact the most important person in his life is maybe not happy at the choice dean made for him, and then john trying to manage two men who don't hold the same respect and fear that they used to (god "a very spn christmas" would probably be a much sadder episode). and then adding another layer of john and dean bitterly separated at this point. angry fucking, bordering on hate fucking, none of the tenderness john used to reserve for dean in these moments because they don't know how to talk about what's happening. john feels like he's watching dean die slowly, and so does sam, and them wanting to connect over that and share that grief while also still being themselves and therefore largely unable to authentically connect bc they have yet to heal the wounds of sam's childhood.

okay im spiraling on that, it hurts too good, so lets jump to the end of season 3, john having to watch with sam his oldest son, his longest-running lover, get ripped to shreds before his very eyes. and like after, i mean, i don't think there's any way sam and john stay together after losing dean, like. there's so much johndean content revolving around the pair of them losing sam, but how miserable and interesting to think about the pair of them after losing dean, without the sexual tension to lean into and watch explode. like no, sam would just leave. he'd find a way to make it john's fault (lets be clear: i wouldn't blame sam for doing that), and john would find a way to make it about sam, and they'd just have to go their own ways which would open the door for sam to go down the sam track with ruby and john to probably do fuck all. drink, fuck random people, generally self destruct.

okay, season 4 is a huge trip to think about bc the story gets so much bigger than just the three of them. i like the idea of dean coming out of hell and still going to bobby first, and then bobby taking dean to sam and then all of them waiting for john to come around to bobby's. this is like almost too much to think about so i have to take it piece by piece.

first of all, for whatever reason, this feels like the season when dean and john finally break through back to what they used to be before john ditched dean to hunt YED. and i think part of why i feel this way is that there'd be a natural alliance in their upset with sam over the blood drinking BUT i think as in canon dean would recover from this bc sam is the most important person in his life, so what would actually end up happening is that dean would fall back into moderator between john and sam's fights, with bobby backing him up.

i also think dean would come out of hell with a clearer idea of what's worth fighting over and what isn't, and i think after hell there COULD be a version of events where he decides sleeping with his father is hardly the worst thing he could do, and also when you've already been to hell, i would imagine it sort of levels out what's really hell-worthy. being in love with your father which ultimately hurts no one, would probably not feel like such a sin after literally being one of hell's best torturers.

i also think dean would be drawn back to john bc with the angel stuff, he'd want guidance from someone other than castiel, and his historically consistent leader is john, so that's who he'd be going to for advice, esp. since sam seems weirdly excited about angels where dean finds them sus af. and also i kind of think john might be a little softer about how he handles dean after hell, and could possibly turn into a more supportive figure EXCEPT for when it comes to his issues with sam that dean would have to mediate.

is this making sense? I feel like this isn't making sense, but my brain is whirring, and im just typing as i have a thought lol.

i think ultimately, a john in season 4 and 5 is a john with a reduced role who would be struggling to find his footing in such a massive production. he spent years with a mission: find and kill YED, and then immediately following that, find a way to get dean out of his deal. i think failing to do that and watching dean die as traumatically as mary (oh god, think of what watching dean die with sam in the room would bring up for john fuck fuck fuck) would do a fucking number on the senior winchester, and that his goal in s4 and s5 would be reconnecting with BOTH of his children, especially as they prepare to face such an enormous challenge as the apocalypse. i think this would be made difficult though, because for dean and john that would initially look (probably) like starting to have sex again, but with a completely different context. so whether that would help or hurt the relationship, idk.

and i think for sam...idk. i think sam would have to work through a lot of shit with learning he's the vessel for lucifer and feeling like he's exactly the disaster fuck up his father always thought he was, and with john RIGHT THERE it'd be even more of a thing. and it would be their goal to find a way through that.

I don't have much to say about the rest of the S3 lessons, but I do have things to say about S4 of Obey Me.

Personally, I think that S4 should focus primarily on the angels (Simeon, Luke, Michael, Raphael, etc.), feature the side characters (Solomon, Barbatos, Diavolo), possibly introduce Solomon's first apprentice and maybe in Hard Mode you can check up on the brothers (you should know who the HOL brothers are).

I have a few reasons for this (in no real order :):

Reading the lesson summaries that you (and others) have provided, it seems like Mike and Raph- along with the Celestial Realm- will be important this season. So, wouldn't be a waste not to show them off?

The side characters need development. This is a perfect opportunity for some.

Simeon and Luke were standing for a longer period than the brothers, so it would make sense for them to show up again.

Simeon was talking to some angel (probably Raphael) at the end of S3. The game should obviously expand on that.

*Diavolo runs a hotel chain in the Human World, so it would make sense to see him again. And because Barbatos follows right behind him...

Solomon's first apprentice needs to be explored. What happened between them?

*The brothers should take a back seat in this season, since they're always there. No offense to them, but I need a break.

New character interactions is would be fun. To me, the best character interaction would be between Dia & Mike. Would they hate each other because of Lucifer? Would they get along? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

It could show off/expand upon the Celestial Realm, a chance for more lore and theories.

It could finally give insight into Simeon's past- which is always a good thing. (Same for everyone else.)

Now that the list is out of the way, here are some miscellaneous things that I couldn't fit on the list (also an clarification for 5 & 7. They explanations will also have an asterix at the beginning of them:):

*I don't expect Diavolo and Barbatos to show up that often, but I think that they should appear in at least 1-2 chapters.

*I also don't mind the brothers showing up, but I am worried that if they appear prominently, they might over take the season.

I kinda want the Lillith plotline/point to come back. I definitely wish it was executed better, but I do want to see the reaction from the angels (Mike and Raph basically).

I hope Solomon's apprentice was a girl. There's just too many guys here, we need a little diversity.

I would hate it if they didn't give us character designs for Michael and Raphael, though I would find it funny.

Hii!!! I basically agree with everything you just said but I'll go into more detail on it with your points:

- I do 100% believe S4 should be a new character/angel focused season. I think I said so in the lesson 60 summary too that it'd make sense and be interesting to meet the angels and get their side of the story without the brothers' interference (the angels give me HEAVY morally grey characters who think they're wholly in the right vibes and I love it) + there's still a lot of Simeon and Solomon backstory to explore!

- The way S3 ended and how much of it was anyway about the angels I definitely think S4 will expand on it and introduce them

- And I think it'll possibly start right after S3 ends? I mean Raphael's here now and Solomon wants to start properly training MC so why not. And there's no other reason to leave Simeon and Luke behind than to start it up with them in the centre

- ALSO!!! ANDISJSHSKS "RAPH" given what they've showed of him he seems like the type of person to take HEAVY offense to that

- S3 did end with Raphael. Simeon called him by name.

- As much as I do want to see more Diavolo and find out more about his and more importantly Barbatos' backstories I don't think they'll turn up much? Or at least not until the last few lessons cause he left saying he had important personal issues to take care of back in the devildom

- I genuinely thought they would be shown in S3 after Solomon mentioned them and yeah damn I wanna know more about them. Also I just saw the Solomon UR+ animation card from months ago today - I definitely want to know whose grave he was leaving flowers at

- As much as I want an angel focused season the amount of withdrawal I'd go through without the brothers is insane. I'm heavily invested in them but at least for now their arcs are at a place that can be paused - they all got together to help Beel, a lot of Satan & Lucifer's + Belphie & Diavolo's issues have been resolved. I do want to know more about Lucifer's fear though and how he met the rest of the brothers (since they already told us Beel's story)

- With what they've said I kinda see Michael & Raphael being parallels to Diavolo & Lucifer, respectively. The somewhat childish boss and the long suffering right hand. I can see Diavolo wanting to like Michael purely because he wants to make proper peace with the Celestial Realm but also being somewhat internally pissed with him given how protective Diavolo is of the brothers and I can see Michael being sweet and friendly in return despite the fact that given everything Michael has said about demons, even in current times, he would probably be looking down on Diavolo for being 'wicked' and 'evil'. Basically I imagine them having the same kinda passive-aggressively polite relationship that Diavolo and Simeon had in S2 but somehow even less friendly

- Yes!!! Like I said the Celestial Realm gives heavy morally grey vibes and I want that to be explored more. I also need Luke's realisation that the Celestial Realm isn't always right to continue

- I have SO many Lilith HCs and I desperately need them to talk about her more. Like I understand why she's a sore topic and that Lucifer never even told them about her room in the HoL depite the fact that they've probably lived there for thousands of years and she does get brought up a bit in Belphie's fear but I need more. I also want them to explore why Belphie was so insistent with blaming the humans for Lilith's death when it was the angels that killed her, I gave my theories behind it in one of the summaries but I really need more solid answers

- I've always wanted more girls (or any girls really) and the way I was disappointed that we never got to see Lilith (I mean I understand that some players would HC her to look like their MC even though she died thousands of years before MC and they probably wouldn't share a resemblance but still) but I never considered Solomon's apprentice was a girl and I dunno why.. OKAY BUT CONSIDER GIRLS AS NEW LIS!!!!!

- I definitely think they would, it would make no sense if they didn't after how much they were hyped up and I might actually scream if they don't get designs. That being said I have very clear ideas of them in my head and I'm gonna hate having to part with them

So the last Oakheart session.

It began with us in the Inter dimensional quarantine

It will be referred to as IDQ for everyone's sake

So we are with the City of Jusi, also called Fort Jusi within the country of the Rustinglands

The primary players at the moment of this session

Zalrich, Tala, Khoury and Thane (unsurprisingly)

The Keeper of Secrets, an information broker of the highest caliber.

The Gentle One, more of them later.

Lilith, current leader of the Queen’s forces in Jusi, daughter to Mara Averina and a literal medusa, who we know has snuck up on people in the past.

Mara Averina, Vampiress, The Storm Countess, Queen of the Rustinglands and Chosen of Xentrellis. After a recent invasion of Tala’s dreams she had prevented Tala from changing out of her lycanthrope form.

Called so because it has 3 tiers and was practically impossible to take. Our party is going through a secret passage, a place which the evil ruling monarchy of the Rustinglands really wants to get to.

Given it's name and purpose we didn't want them to get there. Especially given the fact we know Xentrilis, ancient goddess sealed away in the Hells, The Feywild and the Material Plane(we are here)

So we discover the avenue up to the Fort of Jusi from the IDQ, however with really high checks from Tala we learned fiendish creatures were used to break down the barriers from the Fort to IDQ and a half dozen entities entered the IDQ.

We come to the agreement that we don't want to leave these individuals to come up behind us mid fight, so we go to engage them. 

Zalrich had previously sent his mechanical bird familiar into the IDQ to scout it, as such we knew the location of a two containment cells within the IDQ.

These two entities are The Keeper of Secrets, if you had ever pictured a typical devil, except his skin was entirely purple, as was his suit, and he lived in a room which appeared like the interior of a circus tent. Tala and Zal go in to speak with them, and after a little bit of coy chat he reveals he can give us information on People, Events and Things, however the more archaic the topic, the harder the information is to gleam, the greater the cost. They will accept materials for most of the information we require, and something immaterial for others.

Zal is blessed with knowledge as to the nature of Tala’s connection to Mara, and this is the first time we’ve ever seen his player turn legitimately pale and stunned. He of course kept this secret from us for now, as he had not a lot of time to find this out.

Zal only learned this because Thane had called Tala away from their discussion cause he sensed a demonic entity nearby, not the devil in the room behind him though. Thane learned materials possessions could be used to gain information, so he gave Tala his most gorgeous outfit he keeps in his bags, it’s worth over 2000 gold. It’s one of his most prized possessions and he didn't hesitate giving it to her to help her. 

We then gained information about Lillith, the Medusa:

We learn she is vulnerable to her own petrification, thankfully, and she shatters any mirrors as she hates her own visage. She is a capable martial opponent but can and will become savage if frustrated. 

She is also, on a deep, primal level, terrified of her own mother, Mara Averina.

The last thing we learned is that she was also in the IDQ. She’s down here with us, looking into the Gentle One’s containment cell. Which seems to be where they want to go, knowing there’s a seal keep Xentrellis at bay down here, we know this is dangerous and rush to the Gentle One’s cell.

When we arrive we find ourselves surrounded by a mist just within the cell. We grip each others’ hands and move as much as we can through the mist. We all have to make saving throws, Thane fails and breaks the chain, beginning to back as he feels as if he is drowning under the unadulterated pressure of the area. The sheer weight of The Gentle One’s presence is nearly overwhelming and Tala has drag Thane through this. As he felt his soul being pulled from his body.

This is where we have an interesting interaction, Khoury tries to communicate with The Gentle One, it cannot speak but gives emotions as replies, eventually through their interaction we learn The Gentle One’s power is not malicious, it is simply a bi-product of being close to to it. Khoury then sees many petrified flowers scattered about the floor, no doubt the remains of those who have previously tried to traverse past The Gentle One. They then scoop up the entire party and after a moment of nearly devouring Khoury it seems nearly melancholically regretting it’s actions. Khoury asks about Lillith and those we know are with her and tells The Gentle One that those people would hurt him, his friends and many other people with cruelty. It does not reply but given it’s intent to aid us thanks to Khoury’s kindness the party are scooped up and dropped near a wall. Tala and Khoury begin to move their hands along the wall and find a hidden doorway.

The party poured out the doorway and as they did Khoury asked The Gentle One to close the door again, we hope this will either delay Lilith or lead to her dying by staying in The Gentle One’s presence for too long.

Now before I describe the final scene of this story I need to tell you what The Gentle One actually is.

It’s a Nightwalker, while we only saw it’s hand scoop us all up easily, and most of it’s form aside from it’s eyes were obscured to us, surrounded by wisps, a Nightwalker is one of Dungeons and Dragons most powerful monsters and would have been nearly impossible for the party to defeat in combat without losing at least two of us. In it’s own lair it would be a death sentence. A Nightwalker is a creature of entropy, it is made of Death, it is not an undead creature in the traditional sense, it is not a zombie nor lich nor vampire, it is not ressurected, it manifests as an undead creature from it’s first moments.

This is a Nightwalker, and The Gentle One is a very powerful Nightwalker, and Khoury fucking Al’Essador made it his friend.

Right now that The Gentle One has been passed we went a room that looks akin to a grass field, with steps leading up to a lock, with a massive tear drop shaped shield near it. At the front of this is a figure only one of us has ever seen.

“Oh, I didn’t expect you to be first.”

It’s Mara Averina and that's where the session ended

So yes, rather then having to deal with the Medusa Daughter, we currently are facing the Vampire Queen, with the Medusa Daughter probably on the way to us.

This game is fucking wild.
