I've been scrolling through your blog, and I saw your post about discussing the racialized nature of gender. As someone who has several transmasc POC friends, and someone who's a nonbinary POC themself, I wanted to give my 2 cents.

It's important to understand that "woman" in the "man vs woman" gender binary is a colonialist, white supremacist construct, especially in Western countries where you are the numerical minority. My trans friends aren't on T, they haven't gotten top surgery, we are all quite young. But they all have numerous stories about being addressed as "sir" which brings them euphoria but as one person said, while we were making fun of the amount of white people in our club, "Due to my race and skin color, I get masculinized."

And again I'd like to emphasize, that since we're young, none of us really have medically transitioned due to financial and familial barriers. Their hair is long, our binders we definitely have notable chests, and even if they dress masculine, it's notable that no one in our communities would ever gender us properly. It's often white people calling them "sir." Again, I think this reflects how gender performances in mainstream queer communities are deeply White. Like, trans boys talk about having haircuts, but only one of my friends has that wavier, more manageable hair that will help them pass. When you've got curly/kinky hair, the standards are different. For a white person, what's the difference between a "girl" Afro and a boy "Afro"? White cis people have a harder time identifying us, and literally talk to any black girl, and they'll tell you about being mocked, dehumanized, and called "manly".

I don't have much else to say. These are just my personal experiences. But if you want to be an ally to POC in the queer community, this is why it's so fucking important to bring in colonialism/imperialism/white supremacy into discussions of queer liberation. My biggest gripe with ignorant white queers is when they ignore their white privilege, and act like "cishets" (AKA the patriarchal system regulating sexuality and gender) is the only enemy. Because cishet POC deal with plenty of shit with being infantilized, masculinized, feminized, seen as brutish & dangerous, the list goes on. Doberbutts had a post saying, "Believe me, your family's going to care more about me being black than my queerness." towards his white partners. Acknowledging and creating a framework that centers these intersections of queerness and race into your beliefs is true allyship. This is why if you're not anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, ACAB...I do not think you care for queer liberation. None of us are free until all of us are free.

Please don't view this post as an attack. But this is my perspective, and I thought you'd be receptive to me sharing my lived experiences.

Oh I absolutely don't view this ask as an attack, and I really appreciate you bringing these things up because you're right! Like, just very plainly: You are right and your and your friends lived experiences are extremely important to the conversation on the racialized aspects of gender.

It gets me thinking about where Misogynoir and the social White Fear of Black manhood intersect for Black trans men in particular. Because Black women and Women of Color in general are masculinized by White gender standards and the ways in which Black trans masculine people are gendered in alignment with their identity is absolutely not always done with gender affirming intent. In fact, it's often actually done with racist intent or is fueled by racist bias when it's coming from White people or even from non-Black POC.

That's kind of restating things you've said but differently, it's just such a topic worth highlighting explicitly since it's extremely relevant to the conversation that's been happening about Male Privilege here the last few days.

I do think I know exactly what @doberbutts post you're talking about and yeah. It's just truth. It's something Black queer people have been talking about for ages in both theory and in pop culture (my mind immediately goes to Kevin Abstract and "American Boyfriend") where Black queer/trans identity is both materially different from (neutral) and is treated differently from (negative) White queer/trans identity in multitudes of ways and those differences are worth sharing and exploring and talking about.

Genuinely, thank you for sharing! I try really hard not to lead these kinds of conversations outside of explicitly referencing back to non-White theorists because I don't particularly feel like it's my place to do so, but I will always provide a platform for them because they're extremely important conversations to be had.

Brozone headcanons

Clay and Floyd are the stunt men now that they're adults. Clay's always been a little bit of a daredevil, Floyd already died once, why not live a little.

Clay is nocturnal, like the rest of the Putt-putt trolls. His bros throw his sleep schedule off so when they're hanging out, it's not unusual for Clay to just be passed out somewhere or on someone. If they can, they get Clay to bed so he can properly sleep. If not, everyone's volume goes low.

Both Floyd and John Dory took bartending classes. And by took I mean, Floyd just so happened to be sleeping with a bartender who taught him some things. When making drinks, John's proper about it, Floyd is kind of messy. Floyd's over pouring and spilling.

Clay's handwriting is like a nice print. It's easy to read and looks good on paper.

John Dory is good at photography. He mostly uses this skill for taking nature shots but he's gotten good at candid shots of his brothers. He doesn't let them know about these pics bc they don't look the most photogenic but they look like themselves and that's what John loves to see.

JD has dimples

John Dory almost always has at least one weapon on him.

The brothers think JD has a death wish bc he's constantly going after animals that could literally kill him. "John! Don't touch that, it'll tear you to pieces!" "Psh, whatever. If we weren't supposed to pet it then why does look so fluffy?"

Floyd doesn't go into detail about his past. He'll tell snippets here and there but avoid questions. For one, because he's a bit embarrassed about it. He did a lot of things he isn't proud of, drugs, sleeping around, and drinking. For two, he knows that his older brothers still see him WAY younger than he actually is (like how they still see Branch as a baby) and it would just shatter that mentality. And he doesn't want to do that. For three, it's WAY more fun for him if they don't know and have to keep guessing. Floyd has heard them trying to figure out what he spent the last twenty years doing and starts fucking with them.

John Dory definitely has pictures from even when he was a baby and such. Even ones with their parents but he tries to keep those ones tucked away. Branch is going through them when he finds a picture that has been folded in one of the sleeves of the photo album. It's a picture of John and Bruce and their parents. JD quickly snatches the photo and shoves it his vest. Those people looked like strangers to Branch, that picture probably being the first time he's seen them

The brothers know they didn't have a good childhood but John did his best, despite being pretty much a child himself.

John Dory man spreads no matter who he is sitting next or if he's just sitting in a chair.

John Dory wears the one glove to hide an incredibly deep scar. He got into some trouble with some bounty hunters and needless to say, they drove a knife through his hand. He doesn't want his lil bros to know or worry about it so he hides it.

All the boys (like most trolls) are fuzzy. JD and Bruce have the most prominent facial hair and chest hair. They all have leg hair, arm hair, under arm hair, and a happy trail.

Clay and John have the Blond™️ gene (that's how I'm referring to it) where their hair goes through changes. That's why their hair is so much different from when they were kids. In the summer while spending a bunch of time outside, JD and Clay's hair gets lighter, Clay being a light yellow and John being a soft teal. The others convinced them to do one of those 'take a picture every day for a year' things and make it into a flip book to show how their hair changes color.

The boys really wanted a sister. John jokes that they kind of got one with Floyd

Floyd and John Dory are good gardeners. JD briefly grew his own food and Floyd just has a natural green thumb (not that John doesn't)

13) “You mean, you Don’t actually look human?!”

Kryptonians canonically have telepathic abilities or at the very least psionic abilities. We’ve talked about the ridiculousness of the silver age catch-all of Super-Hypnosis that Clark would use to make people forget his identity.

It’s one of the explanations DC made to explain why only a simple pair of eyeglasses made such a perfect disguise for Clark Kent the mild-mannered reporter, so no one would suspect he was Superman. Because in Superman # 330, Superman apparently unconsciously hypnotizes everyone who looks at him to making them believe that his face is different than Clark Kent’s.

This has absofuckinglutley been retconned out of existence since but consider, this helps with a fun concept and I also do not care because at one point it was cannon so that means I’m right.

Consider: It’s not just used for disguising reasons.

If it can influence how people perceive kryptonians look, maybe it could also influence people into thinking they looked more human than they actually did.

Now, one thing that’s repeated again and again in Kryptonian society is that they are upheld to the high standard of being at the “peak of physical and mental perfection.”

So, what if this mentality of needing to look at the expectation of physical perfection also transferred unconsciously?

And Because Clark does this unconsciously, that would mean that he looks just a little different to every single person who ever looked at him. So, everyone would see Superman as more of their standards of what they think “physical perfection” means. Now, this would:

Result in literally every person thinking that Superman is ridiculously attractive (this includes ace folks. I’m ace. Doesn’t mean I can’t look at someone and go “they’re hot.” because again, personal idea of physical perfection.)

Would be a great intro into a fun side plot of Jimmy being the definitive Superman photographer because not only did he get the first clear photo of Superman, the telekinetic perception doesn’t fully transfer digitally. In a true “eye of the beholder” fashion, whoever takes the image sets the image how they perceive it. So as Jimmy is the one who showed the world their first image of Superman, Jimmy’s perception of Superman would eventually become The Definitive View Of Superman as it’s just what people would expect Kal-El to look like & so his Superman form would eventually settle into the same form he took in Jimmy’s first few photos.

But that’s just when he’s in his Superman persona. When he’s Clark Kent, he is his own perception of what an “average human” looks like. His frame is still very tall & wide (I mean, there’s no getting around that. have you seen how they draw the guy? His shoulders are a mile long) but it’s filled out in a way that looks very natural for a farm boy from Kansas. Like one of those guys who don’t work out but regardless are fairly muscular & look like they can lift a cow. It so depending on the circumstance Clark looks like a gentle giant who everyone in the office asks to help them lift heavy objects or very intimidating when interrogating a corrupt CEO during an interview, using his height and large frame to tower over them in a looming manner.

In both forms he keeps the eye color, hair color, and rough build because otherwise it would look like he was clipping through objects to onlookers.

As this is an unconscious process, even Clark doesn’t know he’s doing it. He kinda knows in the back of his head but it’s just not something he’s ever registered with conscious thought.

With that in mind:

- The Justice League gets captured by a big bad.

- In addition to other security measures to prevent them from escaping, there is a machine that, while in range of it, it creates a mental block for telepaths and psionic abilities on influencing others. It is intended so J’onn cannot find the hidden location of the Justice League to free them.

- But that’s not the only effect it had.

- Suddenly Bruce is able to see what Clark Actually looks like

- But not just Bruce, Everyone in the Justice League that was trapped (take your pick of who) is now able to see the unnaturally saturated blue eyes in their real hue for the first time

- They are so bright that a camera nor any human technology or earthly pigment would ever be able to reproduce or fully capture the piercing shade of blue that stared straight through their being.

- And his too many perfectly straight and white teeth

- His eyes that now look too large to naturally sit on a human-reminiscent face

- Clark’s brow furrowed when he noticed everyone staring at him. the hinge of his jaw opened wider than what a human’s limitations would allow when he went to ask what was wrong

- the base of his voice is still just a touch too loud

-but underneath his voice is an unearthly booming quality with base just out of human perception but it still sent shivers down their spines as it resonated with the frequency of the room

- The tendons shifting under his skin bulge and twist in ways that seem like they shouldn’t fit under his skin and the placement of muscle groups visible under his suit looked like someone tried to reassemble a human from memory

- His features are just suddenly. Off. Distinctly something other.

The mental mask falls away and the Justice League is able to see the slight wrongness about clark.

It's not the fact that he's a alien that makes their necks prickle, it's the age old instinct of something that looks enough like a human but you just know it's not.

And the ensuing chaos Would Be Fucking Amazing

Because, again, Clark Himself Doesn't Know He’s Doing It.

Addon that I was going to branch off of but decided to leave out of the final cut:

I feel like Bruce would honestly be relieved. It would answer a ton of his questions. Especially seen in Anatomy of a Metahuman, Bruce expresses extreme bafflement over How The Fuck Clark is so human-like despite being an alien. The fact that this would confirm his existing theory littered in small notes on the sides of his drawings in that book that Clark uses some kind of psionics for his powers, would be a huge relief because he finally has answers to how Clark works. Now he can apply proper adjustments to his contingency plans to account for this new discovery.

I just really enjoy the idea that Clark only looks human at first glance but when you take a moment to look at him closely, you can tell that something’s distinctly off about the guy.

"Neeext". The monotonous voice of the make-up artist resonated in the busy waiting room, and despite all the noise and movement, the seat previously occupied by Lia found a new model. As everyone got swift and active, preparing for the showcase, you were the only calm one. Maybe, obviously actually, it was because you weren't involved in it, so the stress couldn't get to you. Itzy were the ones getting ready. Each member was immersed in something, and the professional staff too. Make-up, hairdos, outfits checks. The room was as busy as an anthill. Apart from you, only one girl was now calm: Yeji. She was peacefully scrolling through her phone, one remaining hair clip in her hair. She barely paid attention to her surroundings. She had been the first to get readied up, so she was enjoying left over time to destress and get her mind on something else.

"Sooorry? Sorry !" Yeah... Obviously when in a busy room, people like you, just standing in the middle, get in the way of others. If you were gonna stay here with your friends and be useless, at least don't be bothersome. So while excusing yourself, you walked towards the couchy bench Yeji was sitting on. As she was the only one done, the whole bench was empty. But without even thinking about it, you walked up to her, laying your hands on her shoulders, and sat on her lap. She looked up startled. This had forced her to lift her eyes from her phone. And as she realized what just happened, a pinkish color started filling up her cheeks.

"Uhmm-h-hey what's up? What are you doing?"

"Uhm, sitting ?" You answered naturally, unbothered, not even realizing how awkward Yeji had gotten. "What are you even doing on your phone ? Sending bubbles to MIDZY? I swear you're always thinking about them~" you continued, clueless. Your body was perpendicular to her's. And while you still latched on to her shoulders, looking down to her phone screen, she stared at you right in the eyes for a couple seconds, while you remained unfazed. "Yes I do love them" she finally replied, lifting her phone up again and getting back to typing. "You wouldn't need to get jealous though”.

A\N is this good ? I really liked this request, which was my second ever request i got so i was over the moon, but for some reason i had stopped writing. I think it was because i was very busy in April of 2022. I had exams etc, and i never came back to it ! Until i had an awakening again, this April of 2023. Idk why. Who knows, maybe in a month i'll get bored of writing again (i wish not). But the idea of starting to write again came to me in late December. Hello again i decided to expand on my sims for the simblr office idea by @kashisun once again thank you for this and apologies if im a bit spammy im slightly excited lmao

Introducing our office babes

Christian Sinclare:

33 years old but feels 50

Doesn't like coffee but drinks it to stay awake

His favorite color is Naomi's hair color👀

Literally the only accountant in this company that you can talk to that wont bring up budget cuts in the first 5 mins

His favorite meme is the "keep calm and carry on" meme but people call him an old man if he brings it up. #leavesinclarealone2023

Always works late but only because he prefers to finish the financial reports on the same day he started them so he can sleep at night (anxiety gang hello👋)

So many coworkers from other depratments come down and talk to him about various Accounting things he has no idea why its not like he is the manger or head of the department ( its because he is handsome and all the peeps want a piece of him he's just too cluless to notice)

Obsessed with the presence of Mathematical algorithms in nature and everyday life

His favorite is how Bats can find the exact location of things using echo location and the math behind that

The golden Ratio is another obsession and he spends his days off in Museums observing painting that has them

Her hair color was an accidental dark red home hair dye job that went wrong but she liked it so much she kept it for years

Is the senior graphic designer but the graphic department head put her in charge of Budgeting and making exel sheets for the accounting department because she was the only one with "excel proficiency" on her resume

That was a lie

The first time she got assigned an excel sheet assignment she googled "how to learn excel fast" then added " for dummies" exactly 2 mins later

She oftten clashes withthe Accounting department on thier requestes to lower costs and cut out quality

Hates doing all the obove through email and tries to meet anyone from the accounting department but they all avoid her because they have no time for her 30 mins lectures about the importance of paper quality

Fun facts:

Naomi is taller than Christian 💓

Naomi used her personal email on accident for her resume which is called: [email protected] but they hired her anyway because they desperately needed someone with excel skills

Naomi's corporate style is inspired by her mom who used to be a corporate goth but naomi is not one (infact some of her office Fashion staples were given to her by her mom)

Christian's second reason for staying late is that he hates going home to an empty quiet small Appartment and prefers the feel of the big spaces of the office

Christian refuses not not wear any sort of jacket during his workday but once the day is over and everyone leaves he takes of his jacket loosens up his tie and takes out his bun to feel more comfortable

Naomi once saw christian at a museum staring really hard at a painting then she saw that painting printed on a corset the next day it made her laugh so much she had to buy it for work

One day Naomi wore tights with bats on them (vintage 😉) when she arrived at work and "happened" to get in the elevator with Christian he instantly said "nice bats" but then panicked and went into how much he loves bats for 10 mins straight. Naomi instantly fell for that panicked rizz lol

Next day she came to the office with some nice bat earing but swears its not related to Christian and his love of bats(it is) and its NOT HER GIVING HIM SIGNS OMG GUYS DO YOU WANT ME TO GET WRITTEN UP TO HR( she totally was)

How they got close and began working together:

After a particularly tough day at work of having to stay late and trying to get through to the accounting department because they wont budge on buying the expensive colored ink for thier printers and how not doing that will compromise the color quality plus almost calling the accounting manger an uneducated potato,

she decided to pass by the empty (or so she thought) accounting department to let out some cuss words at a poor empty desk, she saw Sinclare sitting there tie loosened and all and decided to try again and convince him to not cut the important supplies from the budget

After he recovered from that he told her he will help her write better more convincing reports to present to the department and from then on they became friends (who are trying so hard and failing not to fall for each other)

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ First and foremost, he's willing to go out and buy literally anything little you might ask for, and forcefully willfully becomes your cg, since that will entrench him into your life.

Meaning they won't save you from being kidnapped and may even help Kokichi cover his tracks. I mean, he isn't violent with you, so... no point in not doing it, right?

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Whether you're little or not when you go to bed determines the way you sleep. If you're little, Kokichi will pull your head into his chest and rest his chin on the back of your head, using his hands to caress your back as you drift off. If you're big enough, he'll hold your hand and... that's pretty much it. You sleep mostly independent of each other except for the fact that he's not letting go of that hand. You probably didn't need it- /lh

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ All in all, you get a mostly wholesome Kokichi. And although you're safe from the punishments... that doesn't mean everyone else is.

I worked with a subject over the course of months, experimenting with hypnosis capabilities, we decided to try and have their hair color change through natural causes. What ended up happening was that their subconscious took over, made them go into what.thwy described as "drone mode" even tho that had never been a theme we used. And purchased hair dye, almost got kicked out of their home as they were just 19 and parents hadn't accepted them as fem. It was pretty scary and not meant to ever become unsafe for them, we took a few days to de program her entirely after that. And then she ghosted me. I understand why, even though it was all consented to, I learned a lot about the limits of hypnosis.

20. What’s one tip you have for other hypnotists/subjects?

Every one's sensations are hyper individualistic as a newer subject. The one thing I'd want both sets to know, is that new subjects should not be directed to feel anything like heavy or light or floaty. Just say trance or hypnosis, then identify the feeling they associate to trance. This is the number issue i see, new subjects feel like failures because they're sensations don't line up with the guides suggestions this loosing faith and trust in the trancing process. And for hypnotists it's probably just because of troupes and the average trance script as those things in them.

21. Do you have any tips for how to negotiate hypnosis play?

It has to be consented to before scene starts.period. consent is sexy. Even if it's premising cnc. Communication is key to any relationship, and kinky dynamics are just that personified. Having an understanding of what the subjects long term wants are important with hypnosis play, also it has to be stared that deep real hypnosis is a R.A.C.K practice if done right. If the subject is blanking an entire trance, that's akin to needing a trip nanny while using hallucinating on illicit things. Like asphyxiation play, public humiliation, and a few others hypnosis can have out-of-the-scenes consequences. Hence why knowing your subjects over all goals for interaction is sooo important. Do they want an escape? Or do they want to loose human rights(in a kinky consenting way for 24/7 pets).

I enjoy it when I'm the subject but avoid it as the hypnotist

You spot them as they enter the main ballroom. Your three strapping men, color coordinated and cutting intimidating frames in their suit choices. You start your verse as you watch them make their way over to the bar where the team, plus one Sharon Carter, have gathered. You can't help but feel festive in your short red dress, studded red fishnets and nude pumps. You’ve kept your makeup simple with a nude lip and a smokey eye. Your hair down and in its natural state. Sy made a comment when picking you up that you looked like Santa’s little Siren. Seems appropriate if you do say so yourself.

Per usual you notice Sharon being a bit too chummy with your Captain. The woman just can’t help herself. You know all about the “kiss” when they were trying to save your beloved Bucky. But according to Steve the reason it never went further was because there was no spark when their lips touched. And he tried giving her a chance, chalking the lack of spark up to the stress of the situation, but she was way too into his status and power. So he ended things before it made it any further than a couple dates and a subpar makeout session.

What is it with these prude ass women that hang around these strong ass people? Sharon, like Jane, thinks your quad is ridiculous and you don't need that many men. Especially when you added Steve in.

“He should be upholding traditional values as he’s America's golden boy. Not flaunting such an alternative lifestyle. Hell if he was gay it would be easier than this bullshit. Why on Earth would you want to willingly share a woman with two other men. Not to mention one of those men is a God and the other a murderer.”

Let's not forget what she also stated in that little rant of hers, when she was unaware you could hear her perfectly clear from your spot in the common room. “I just don’t understand what he sees in her. He eventually pawns her off on an agent nearby and makes his way to the side of the stage.

He leads you in a simple swing as the band plays on, placing you back in front of the mic with a kiss to the jaw and a squeeze of the hips just in time for you to get back to serenading the crowd.

“Steve, why are you over here? Come back out on the dance floor with us.” Sharon whines.

“I’m content here with my drink currently. I’m admiring the view too much.” His eyes haven't moved from your body the whole song. Not even to address Sharon.

“Don’t you want to continue to have fun?”

“I’m having plenty of fun, trust me.” He taps his head, a devious smile crossing his face, as filthy thoughts of you fill his mind.

Just as she is about to open her mouth in response, the song ends and the dance floor bursts out in applause.

“Hot damn was that fun!” You shout out, catching your breath. “I think we all deserve a cool down after that.”

The crowd agrees with head nods and murmurs of yes. “Sy would you be so kind as to set up a chair for Steven to come join us on stage?”

He places his drink down and like a sailor following a Sirens song into the sea, travels across the parting dance floor, keeping eye contact with you, until he sits in the chair provided for him in the middle of the stage.

You reach over and pluck the Santa hat covering the extra mic stand. You turn toward the soldier sitting proudly in the chair behind and to the right of you. You take two steps and bend over, placing the festive red hat on his head with a kiss to his bearded cheek.

“Now that we have our Santa, I have a few things I’d like to ask for.” The band starts to play Santa Baby to the crowds whoops and applause.

I was tagged by @autonomousllama and @cactusblossom, thank you both for tagging me and I guess I am getting at this late but here it is!

What’s your favourite Sims death?

The old age death because it means a sim has lived like and are gently passing on! I also love that they give a little salute like “It was fun while it lasted but PEACE!” if I have a chance to give a salute and famous last words before I die I know I would!

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Match not because it looks better but because it blends in with the game.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Never!

Do you use move objects?

I imagine it is hard not to when you are a competitive sims player lol.

Favourite Mod?

Hmmm, this is hard. I will say Wicked Whims though. I know, I know, you all think i’m super horny over here but really sex is a big part of life it is, one can argue, one of the most important aspects of life itself as one must have sex to create life (kind of at least) so WW really expands on that. Just get rid of the sex animations it adds, ignore that completely, it still adds an indepth menstrual system, attraction system, fertility system, etc!

WW actually determines how many kids my sims will have for example since some are naturally more fertile than others so yeah!

Oooh, I actually don’t make many sims since I play legacy and just rely on genetics but I will say Araceli! I made her when I relaunched a legacy and I spent so much time on her! I loved her! I thought of bringing her back in some form so we might not have seen the last of her actually!

I have for the fun of it but i’ve never played it. I hardly make myself in games. I just always think of a character I guess.

I’ve been a Sims 4 OG as the kids would like to say and my simblr has really flunctuated in all that time. I’ve had posts getting 100s of likes to now just around 10 lol, I’ve come full circle!

It’s kind of sad because @floofymilk-blog was a real good online friend I had known for years and she was someone you saw constantly liking my posts and commenting at first and she has completely disappeared from like...everything. So yeah T_T, from discord, from steam, from switch, and I always wonder what happened to her and seeing that post and seeing her in the notes there just makes me sad but...she was the biggest AC fan I’ve ever known T_T and a big Sims fan too!

She was Japanese and disappeared before the release of Snowy Escape and I wonder if she would have loved that pack :/

How do you edit your pictures?

I used to do A LOT more but honestly, I just gave up lol. Now I just use a reshade, add a border, and move on. Lazy, I guess? But I’m posting legacy content. What is called a Plotacy. If I hung up on editing every single picture it would slow me down a ton. You can see the story content I tried it was a lot more edited!

boys planet if fire emblem three houses crossover

house leaders are at the front, so they would be:

for those that don't know much about 3h:

black eagles are the house primarily focused on dark magic, and most of the characters in that house have a particularly quieter and/or serious personality, with more self-made leaders than anyone else. there's a couple exceptions of louder people (such as yedam), but most of the house is full of serious sided people (also, if you know, keita would def fit the role of edelgard)

blue lions are the house primarily focused on close combat, and most of the characters in that house are more on the gentler side, though they do suffer from not being as close together compared to the other two. most are gentle, most are sociable, but they all carry some level of unspeakable trauma at least LOL. (hanbin is the leader because of his princely demeanor perfectly matching dimitri's)

golden deer are much more of a mismatched group, a jack of all trades, but they're surprisingly a lot closer to each other. most of the ppl in here either have colorful personalities or colorful backgrounds, with a couple calmer people to balance it all out. it's a loud place for sure, but everyone loves each other; though their differing opinions might end up in some fights. (hanbin is the leader due to his natural ability to socialize with literally everyone on bp, making him the perfect glue)

ashen wolves are the rejects of society, mainly underground either due to crime or debts unpaid, having nowhere else to go. this place is literally just the supercharger team (who were robbed), plus some people who got the shortest ends of the stick in boys planet. they're the smallest group in general due to abyss being so tiny. (haruto is the leader because he...just would)

the church of seiros either houses great warriors, gentle priests, or small children. a couple of deadpan mercenaries, as well as general caretakers or people in need of comfort and care would end up here. (hao is the archbishop because honestly... he manages to fit that role of gentle leader and harsh commander all at once, somehow)

ricky is our byleth/main protagonist because he came from nothing to something (thru the power of YRTH)

and hui is our sothis, all knowing god with experience

im pretty sure 90% of ppl do not get this but this was just fun to think about and sort people into. some extra bonus notes:

popular duos like haobin, mattbin, hwanyeol, etc. are separated for peak angst reasons (unless you. recruit them. i guess)

i somehow managed to keep the numbers even across the original three houses (ashen wolves is DLC)

ggang team is together minus junhyeon bc junhyeon's chaotic ass personality is too much to be a blue lion

only reason why gyuvin is in blue lions is to 1. be the outlier and 2. his trauma on bp outweighs his personality in regard here

the viets are together! cong and honghai were meant to be the raphnatz of the gd :)

i didn't have a byleth in mind before this. since there's only one and usually you chose between gender, the options in this au are either blonde hair ricky or black hair ricky. and he turns into zb1 ricky over time.

🐍 Once you both got more comfortable with one another, it did help that you were both put in Slytherin, you both hung out regularly, and sometimes with Lily; you totally knew that Severus liked Lily, and supported it, but you had a feeling that something bad was going to happen

🐍 And that was correct, the Marauders, a group of pranksters, liked to well, prank you and Severus; and your only saving grace when you couldn't get them to back off was Lily, and her demands only worked since James was in love with her

🐍 But you were always there for Severus, even after all the pranks, all the bullying he suffered by the Marauders, and when he lost his friendship with Lily; you were always there... Even when you both has a bit of a falling out, you always supported him

🐍 Even though he was stubborn, he truly was thankful for you; and as the years went on, you both mended your friendship

🐺 And as the years go on, you began to fall for him too, (and this was some of the reason why you and Severus's friendship dwindled) but you found Sirius rather charming, sweet, handsome, and very generous; you were still stubborn though, and turned him down when he asked you out, but that never stopped him, (and you finally agreed to go to the Yule Ball with him in the end)

🍀 Neville joins you a lot of the time for stargazing, even though he hated breaking the rules, he'd only break them for you if you asked, (and if it was a reasonable rule to break), so sneaking out of the Gryffindor and Slytherin dorms was something slightly common for the both of you; and a little fun fact, Neville loves when you speak Portuguese, gets his heart all fluttery, and he loves braiding your hair

Second Born Child of Layla and Nabu Poole

Passionate Princess

-Makara Poole is the second born of Layla and Nabu Poole, and is second in line for the throne. (Which is fine by her, less problems on her end.)

-Her birthday is March 20th, making her a Phoenix in the Magical Dimension and a Pisces on Earth.

-She and her brother both have their mom’s dark skin tone, but she does have hair like her father. A violet sort of shade.

-She keeps her hair long and prefers her ‘natural’ look. Afros, braids, dreads; she loves them all and she knows she can rock them.

-Her eyes are the same as her father’s as well. It comes with the territory, she supposes.

-She’s about 14/15 when we first meet her at Alfea.

-Like her mother and brother, she does have some mer-people qualities, but she doesn’t have a full tail or anything. (Which is a major bummer to her. But hey, fins and gills are fine.)

-(She’s more disappointed in her scale color than anything, such a boring shade of green. But it is what it is.)

-Unlike her brother, Makara is a bit more… Mischievous. She enjoys pulling pranks and causing just a bit of chaos. And because she refuses to do so alone, her cousins tend to get involved. (It’s fun and everyone ends up laughing… Usually.)

-(Honestly this is probably the reason she and Etta get along so well.)

-She does try to hold off on anything too major for galas or big events though, no need in incurring the wrath of her grandparents and her parents. (Once. That happened once and she swore never again.)

-(She’d never seen her Baba or her Grandpa so disappointed in her, and her Grandma and Dadi seemed so hurt. Not to mention how embarrassed her parents were. So never again.)

-(For those curious, she swapped out a few of the chosen menu items when she was about 8 because she thought it would be funny to see a few of the ‘stuffy older people’ swell up… That was when she learned a major lesson about allergies and how people can react to food swapping.)

-Makara loves everything and anything to do with the beach and the ocean. It’s literally in her blood.

-Swimming, surfing, diving, beach parties, sandcastle making, sailing, etc. She loves it all.

-Though if she had to have a preference; swimming and diving are her biggest loves. Feeling the water on her skin, letting her body shift with the salt water into her scales and fins; it’s the most incredible thing she’s ever felt in her life and she’s honestly addicted.

-And while she prefers swimming in the ocean, she’s fine with swimming in pools. (Though her scales and fins don’t activate outside of salt water, but that’s probably for the best.)

-(She competes in swimming competitions at Alfea, which means if she had her fins and scales, she’d be considered a cheater. So… It’s for the best.)

-Makara and Caspian, along with their cousins, are training for their tattoos. In fact, there’s a bit of a competition going on to see who gets them first. (Her money, of course, is on herself. She’s never been one to doubt.)

-(That said, their elder cousin has already completed one of the first tasks involved… But still…)

-Unlike Caspian, she only has rudimentary knowledge of how boats and ships operate. She prefers being in the water itself than being on a boat in the water. That said, she knows enough about them to keep from capsizing or getting her crew killed.

-Like her father, Makara does try to keep close to her spirituality. Meditation and prayer aren’t uncommon for her. And neither is talking to her ancestors.

-Like her mother, Makara is a sporty woman, but she’s a bit more picky about what she does and why.

-Example: for fun and games, she enjoys volleyball or MagiBall, something she can just play around with her friends doing. Group sports are awesome for this. But for something she’s willing to compete in and really try; that’s swimming and boxing.

-Boxing was a surprise for her, one her Aunt Talia got her into. Granted, she was always going to learn self-defense styles because her mom and dad were insistent just in case her magic failed, but this… This was something that hit a button for her and she loved it.

-The rush, the skill, the way it’s sort of a dance if done properly; it’s exhilarating. And she just… Falls into it.

-(Etta may or may not be one of her favorite sparring partners, simply because both girls are more than willing to go all out. And then, of course, laugh about it later while trying to heal.)

-She does enjoy some of the gymnastics and cheerleading activities, and she definitely sees how they could be important for her flexibility and spacial awareness, but they’re more Artemis and Nixie’s thing.

-Makara loves dancing, just like her mom and dad. Granted, she’s not as fond of some of their ‘dance styles’ and considers them ‘old and embarrassing’ at times, but it's a fun family thing.

-(She secretly really loves learning ballroom dances. The looks on people’s faces when they see just how she glides across the floors, it’s priceless.)

-Also like Layla and Nabu, Makara has a policy about fighting: Do No Harm, Take No Shit.

-She’s okay with letting things roll off of her like waves, that’s fine. But if you keep pressing her and pressing her, or if you decide to harm those weaker than you or pick on someone she holds dear, she’s going to throttle you or drown you. Whichever comes first.

-(She seldom throws the first punch outside of the ring, but you can best bet she’ll fight to throw the last one.)

-Makara admittedly has a one-track mind when it comes to her goals. She’s been known to throw herself completely into them and forget other tasks or responsibilities she may have. Thankfully she has such an amazing older brother and friends who help bring her out of it.

-As the second-born royal to the Androsian Throne, Makara gets a tad more leeway than her brother does when it comes to royal events or galas. Less scrutiny to her style or her decorum. Not to mention she has a few extra ‘I’ll pass on that’ cards than he does.

-(She seldom makes her brother deal with the royal pains alone, but there are a few events that she does her best to steer clear of. Sorry Bro!)

-(Makara and Nixie both have issues trying to please the politicians and royals of other realms, feeling like it’s all so fake and disingenuous. They’d rather be allowed to just speak their mind and be done.)

-Like her friends, Makara goes to Alfea for school, and she surprisingly has her own room. (She tried to convince Artemis to share with her, but the Solarian Princess needs her space.)

-(She’s okay having her own room. She is. But sometimes she does sleep on the common room’s couch. Or Etta spends the night in her room when Zephyr’s working on projects late into the night.)

-One of her favorite classes is their Ecological Science classes. She loves getting to explore new terrains and learning about the different animals and plants. Especially if they get to go into the water.

-She’s not fond of the Political or Social Graces classes she has to take with Dufour, however. Or of the Cooking classes.

-(She gets that it’s an important skill to learn, but some of the recipes they learn to make seem a bit… Much.)

-Makara’s okay with Divination and some of the History classes. She doesn’t dislike them, but she’s had more interesting classes in her life.

-(For History, her family is full of people she could talk to who actually lived through those events. And as for Divination, that’s just not something she likes messing with. But she doesn’t mind letting Etta or Lily use her for practice.)

-She does have a fondness for the Defense classes with Griselda and the Physical Education classes in general. Constantly moving and getting her body and mind involved in something just works wonders for her.

-Makara, like her mother, got into playing drums! She’s trying to start a band, but it’s not easy to find people she gets along with creatively. (Which is why she and Musa and Riven’s daughter don’t play together, they have different styles and tend to clash. Their son, however, seems to be on the same level.)

-Since Caspian is the one next in line for the throne, Makara is trying to decide on what sort of path she wants to take when she’s older.

-Perhaps an advisor? Or she could travel the realms? Run a ship? Or maybe she’ll get that band together and tour? The possibilities are endless for a dreamer like her.

I’d been waiting for the right moment to sink my proverbial teeth into Fade Into You (approximately 45 minutes ago) and I am yet again losing my shit 🥹 not that I was expecting any less from you/this series but that was somewhat of a religious experinece ngl. Loved how much of a soft, sensual and all-encompasing experience it was for both of them, and how much of an exercise in vampire lovemaking it was for Daniel. That shit will come in HANDY someday, and I wonder how aware of it Armand is at the time and how deep in denial he’s trying to remain. Like, if that was a test... Daniel passed with flying colors. THE perfect vampire lover idc what anyone says, Armand had to know right there and then that this was the man who’d keep him coming for the rest of eternity. He lucked out fr fr

First of all, Daniel tying Armand’s hair into a bun, some A+ imagery right there (have you ever seen those pictures of Christian Bale doing it to Natalie Portman? the armandaniel vibes are there imo). Then you had Armand slowly but surely letting his guard down for Daniel, letting himself be vulnerable and soft and needy, and Daniel isn’t sure why but he knows this is a huge thing and will make it count.

And this: “For a moment Armand only blinked at him, so sweet and drunk looking that Daniel couldn’t help but let out a laugh. He’d always assumed it would take something rough and forceful to bring Armand out of his head. He’d never imagined gentleness would have him drifting and slow to respond.” THE SONG OF MY PEOPLE!!! Such a gorgeous description of pliant, sweet Armand. I’m obsessed. How many people have had the chance of seeing Armand like this? Two, maybe three in 500 years? Incredible.

“It was an unnatural coupling. A shared release no mortal was ever meant to experience, that maybe even god himself hadn’t intended for in the great design of the universe” yesss and that’s what so fascinating about them, Daniel should’ve never experienced any of the things he experienced as a human with Armand, they were not meant for him, and yet he did and they were and he loved every bit of it. He’s such a gift, which is exactly what Armand called him🥹

That shit will come in HANDY someday <- Right!! he's so curious about the vampire experience, there's some appeal there for him. like he knows what armand's body can and can't do and he wants to be like him regardless! so i really think he would fixate on it and want to experiment with what being one of armand's kind is like in the more literal sense, and what their physical relationsip could be like once he's turned.

and listen armand describing daniel as gentle over and over, even at the end of TVA when they're on a break is forever on my mind. and so it only made sense that he would be gentle in taking control! it's so natural that he's good at this!

and i just love any excuse to get armand out of his head so like. i had to do it, i had to let someone be gentle with him for the first time in centuries (and i had to let daniel see what he's like in that state because lord! what an impression having armand melt for him like that would leave. he'd be running the show in that bedroom for weeks after just to keep getting repeat performances)

so i'm so happy you loved it!! and i'm having so much fun working on the third part. i've never done freshly turned daniel and he's such a delight, so eager to share a first with armand ♥

Here's a snippet, the first few paragraphs:

It was a terrible thing they’d been through. The sudden threat, the burnings, Akasha. Like living through a World War in the span of just a few days. He should have found it all terribly traumatizing , the way they’d all narrowly escaped death- how he’d escaped death twice in mere hours!- and yet Daniel could only find it all surreal. He watched out the window of the SUV for the breaks in the palm trees and greenery where the lights of Night Island shone through. They were like great fireflies dancing in the darkness, there one second and then, as the cars crawled down the private road, blinking out of existence. Daniel touched the tinted window and tried to blot out the lights with his fingertips. He laughed to himself when a particularly bright one glowed like a halo around his ring finger. “Are you alright?” Louis murmured from the seat beside him. Daniel nodded. “Yes. I have to laugh to keep the dread away.” “Dread?” Daniel didn’t answer. Instead he listened to the low rumble of old Italian coming from the very back seat. Armand and his Maker, Marius, whispering in a dialect he couldn’t understand. Every now and then a word caught on his mind- ‘boy’, ‘danger’, ‘mistake’- but the grammar was lost to him. The declensions of the verbs were too unfamiliar, lost and mutated by time.

Meeting these people should have been an ecstatic thing. And it had been, at first. Walking into the great Sonoma compound and seeing vampires he’d only heard of in Lestat’s book alive and real before his very own eyes- it had been like being a child and discovering Santa Claus wasn’t a myth. Like seeing the living faces of saints. And then, one by one, those relics of Armand’s past had dismissed him. Marius declared he’d lacked common sense (he’d heard that thought and giggled at it at the time, now it sat in his dead stomach like a stone). Gabrielle ignored him when he spoke. Lestat- well, he had cast a glance or two Daniel’s way but then he’d been preoccupied by his mother and Louis, those artifacts of his own existence. And that was fine, really. Daniel was used to being something of an outcast by now. Always a peripheral presence in a group but never an intimate friend. He’d gotten used to that during his years with Armand when they’d uprooted themselves over and over, moving through cities and friend groups like fish through water. No, what sat wrong with him was Armand’s continued distance from him.

(and then- well I swear it gets better from there ♥)

I'm talking about the SoD AU because I can >:}

1 Do you have a backstory for [character] without one? Is it relevant to how you write them?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure empires season 1 Joel never got much of a backstory (besides maybe some x-life stuff? idk I haven't watched empires!Joel or X-Life). Which means I'm fixing that :D

Joel's upbringing is deffiently the best out of the Bad Boys, which is saying something about the others- And it reflects in how he acts! As prince, he always had to be on the lookout, for his subjects safety and for people who would try to hurt him and/or said subjects! It results in him judging people long before he meets them, and this can greatly impact how he interacts with people! He's general unhinged-ness is also something from his backstory, as his whole island relied a lot on hunting, and often times worked with wild wolves or dragons to share food! Joel would actually spend weeks in the forest, hunting or hanging out with dragons, and it's resulted in him sometimes forgetting that people don't often act like a dragon when angry or while hunting.

4 If you could change something canon about [character], what would it be?

Does the entirety of the 3rd HTTYD movie count? If not then Stormheart. I don't know if it's ever explained why she wants to keep Lumie safe? Like it just seems to oppose her established characterization of not really caring about dragons or using them as weapons.

5 Are there any particular locations, whether from the source material or your own mind, that you enjoy writing?

The Hidden World is one, and I also quite enjoy the School or Vanaheim! In the game, I loved flying around them, especially the Hidden World Annex because it was a giant circle, so I didn't need to turn around if I didn't want! And I think that carried over to the SoD AU, because I love describing how the Hidden World looks or what it's like at the School or why Vanaheim matters to Etho specifically!

6 How do you envision [character] when writing about them?

Putting this below the cut because I went on a full ramble. And the next question has a long answer as well lol

Honestly this is a bit of a hard one. I'm not great with descriptions and character design is a bit of a weak spot for me, but I'll give it a try with Etho!

I think they literally only wear one outfit unless forced to wear something else, much to the annoyance of Skizz (who is the exact same way). Said outfit is a basic white shirt under a black jacket with green patches wherever it's been torn. They also have scales sown into the jacket, if one of their dragon friends shed, you can bet Etho will have a new scale sown onto the arms of their jacket. They often wear just plain black pants, simply because it's easier to explore new islands and have full mobility. If they weren't planning to go out flying, they might try on a skirt because fuck gender roles. I genuinely think despite the fact it would be better for traveling, they do not wear boots. They stick with sandals or something a bit like sneakers. They are doing this out of spite.

Of course, they've got their mask. It's probably been torn at least five times since they've landed on Berk, but hey, it's just some fabric and can be replaced with ease. They probably also remake their headband with the mask, because consistency is important.

I chose to let them keep the two colored eyes, because it's fun :) They've still got the red left eye, and their right is really dark green! We're keeping the white/black/green color theme :D Of course, we've got white hair. I'm saying it's natural, because if there are dragons why not let somebody have white hair? It's also established in the 4th chapter that Etho knows how to make purple dye for a strip of their hair! (also it's never mentioned but they probably had long hair before arriving on Berk, cut it around the time of joining due to getting teased, and later started growing it out again a bit)

As well as that, they are probably also tall and skinny, due to the fact that they do not eat enough. It isn't on purpose, they are just very forgetful and dragons + Skizz take first priority. They also have horrible posture and look about half a foot shorter then they are :)

14 What is something you would like to talk at length about?

Well uh. I talked a lot about Etho's appearance above but also, dragons.

Etho - Starlit'Void (sand wraith) and Lumie (luminous krayfin). I gave them Starlit'Void because he was my starting dragon and I thought it would be fun! Lumie is more of a technicality, because he's not a playable dragon in game, but with how often he appears in quests, I think I can say he's Etho's now. (also because if you've seen the second httyd movie, there's this scene when Valka is riding on Cloudjumper as the bewilderbeast rises from the ice and I am imagining that but with Etho + Lumie when he fully grown) All other dragons are part of Etho's hoard and are either from quests, their and Skizz's children, or just ones that stick around for fun!

There is another dragon Etho gets, a [redacted] named Stardust! I cannot explain much due to spoilers for a not-yet released fic, but I chose Stardust because around the time the fandom got confirmation of a 4th series, everybody started trying to decide what the winner's title could be! And someone suggest Stardust if Etho won and it lives in my head rent free (It was suggested to fit with the astrology theme + redstone!).

Skizz - Gaze (triple stryke). Personally, I feel like (both 3L and SoD!)Skizz and post-redemption!Dagur share a lot of similarities and hey, why not share the same dragon species! I'll also explain Holly here because why not. Holly is also a triple stryke that Etho and Skizz adopted during Stormheart's first attack on the edge, and the two of them raised her together!

I think to a point Pouncer and Ruffrunner could be counted, but I see them less of Etho and Skizz's dragons and more of future alpha's that the two humans are helping grow!
